Devon Seafood - Steak Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I'm really not impressed..... I sure wanted to be, but I don't think I'll ever go back. Service- the exact reason I'm writing this review was because of the EXTREMELY poor service we received!! It took the server almost 18 minutes for her to bring me a glass of Champagne!! No apologies, no sorry for the wait, nothing!! Food- for a $23 lunch plate I would expect much higher quality. The portions were a bit too small, and I thought the meal was pretty bland. There are plenty of restaurants downtown that I would gladly choose over Devon.

Can you say AMAZING!? That's what this place is. I'll admit, I was a little skeptical going into it. I'm not usually a fan of chains (this is a chain), but this really isn't like your typical chain restaurant. We walked in to stunning decore. We had got reservations in advance and they escorted us to a private room! Be sure to ask for one of the rooms if you have a big enough party. Our waitress was attentive but not over attentive. She seemed to time it out just perfectly so that she would come in just as we were about to need her. Now that's what I call service - anticipate your customers' needs. The food. Just wow. I had the special of the night, which was a charred Ahi Tuna. So good. I'm a huge seafood lover, but usually skeptical about eating it when I'm not on the coast (I used to live in Boston). But this stuff was about as fresh as it gets. Quite surprised. Is it expensive? Yes. But definitely worth it. Great for a special occasion.

My God, their crab cakes are the best thing ever. I don't care if it is $15 for only two, those were the best crab cakes I have ever had the joy of eating. Lobster bisque was smooth and creamy and RICH fresh squeezed lemonade was the bomb! Scallops with mushroom risotto was out of this world! 1 1/4 pound lobster was delicious Our waiter was excellent, he pretty much picked my meal for me, and I love him for it because it was so damn good! The atmosphere is chill, furnishing is just classy. Yep. Love this place.

Do you remember when modern, sleek restaurants meant they were cutting edge and part of the hottest dining scene? Well, even chain restaurants (including McDonalds) look that way now. Don't let my first paragraph scare you off. Yes, Devon's design is pretty impressive, but they also have really good food. Yes, it is a small chain and is in the middle of Bayshore, but you will feel as if you've dined at a much more expensive restaurant, especially when you experience the quality of food compared to your bill. I think the biggest bang for your buck is lunch. My friend and I ate on the patio, which is very nice. They also have a seating area with couches where you can dine. I ordered the Tuna nicoise salad (check out my pic). It not only looked beautiful, but it was very good. Quality of tuna and preparation was excellent. My dining companion ordered the fish tacos. They looked very good and I'm told they were delicious. Each of the entrees were around $11.00 to $15.00. Service was very friendly and fast. No complaints. I'll be back-

We had a great experience at Devon but not in the standard way. Two things happened that to make us grateful to Devon. We live out-of-state and had been to Devon on prior business trips. Here's what happened this time. (1) I am trying to watch calories which can be a challenge at a restaurant like Devon. Our wonderful server mentioned a simply grilled fish and I chose the salmon. When it arrived, it was a generous portion as well as delicious but soaked in butter or oil. Whatever it was, it had lots of calories! My husband noticed my concern and told our server. She immediately apologized and offered to redo my entire plate. Within moments I had a beautiful piece of fish in a similarly generous portion that was fresh and perfectly (cleanly) grilled. It was the next event that stunned us. Devon's general manager stopped by and immediately apologized for the first dish. That would have been enough for us but she actually then offered to comp us for my dinner and take it off the bill. We couldn't believe it and we were so grateful for this exceedingly generous action (2) When we got back to our hotel we realized my husband left his wallet. When we called, they confirmed who retrieved it (our server), it was in their safe and asked how to best return it to us. We told them we'd drive back to get it but it was great to know it was safe and that they were even willing to go the extra mile to try to return it to us. Will we return to Devon when in town? Sure! Will we remember how Devon treated us? You bet. By the way, my husband's dinner (fried shrimp platter) was wonderful. Thank you, Devon!

Definitely an asset to Bayshore Town Center. Fresh seafood flown in daily, prompt service, and private rooms make for a superb experience. I have used the private rooms several times for business meetings. The great thing is they don't charge for the use of the room. This isn't usual for most venues. I've always been happy every time I go. A+ all the way. Plus, dining outside in the summer with a glass of wine coupled with people watching makes for a good time.

Wife and I were shopping at Bayshore last Sunday when we decided to stop in for a snack. GREAT NEWS!! Happy hour starts at 2pm!! I just wanted to watch the Badgers game and suddenly I had happy hour Martinis ($6.50 versus $10 and since I wasn't driving, who cares!!) They also had lots of appetizers on special (generally about $5 to $6 off regular price) so we had the Tuna Tartare (good), Steamed Curry Mussels (Excellent - is it wrong to want to drink the broth?) , Vietnamese Spring Rolls (Very Good) amd Grilled Chipotle Shrimp (Good). I am not a regular to "chain" restaurants but this place turned out to be quite good. Next time I'm at Bayshore (hopefully on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm), I'll come back!

The Lobster Risotto is fantastic.... If the lobster risotto was my 6 year old nephew, "I could just eat. him. right. up." I have no idea what SHELLFISH BOUILLABAISSE is so obviously I steered clear of that contraption and got myself a plate of the chipotle grilled shrimp enchiladas; Based on a recommendation from my waitress Taylor. Lovely girl, great service but she was a bears fan so she was obviously super basic. I bet shes on that pumpkin spice late grind right now. Filtering the shit outta these trees as they change color on her instagram but I digress. If you want good food at decent price take a trip to devons. Ask for Bethdog

I went for brunch buffet yes its pricey but its worth it. The only thing that annoyed me was the waitress I had seemed to be in a hurry to rush me out - I had been there for roughly 20 minutes, I will be going back to try the lunch menu and happy hour despite the fact that I was being rushed out. I tried everything on the menu but my two favorite things on the brunch menu were the Thai wings ( which I will be trying to recreate this at home) and the waffles.

Went For Thursday night dinner. No wait but well attended. Chair seating is ridiculous. Anyone tall would hate them others will feel like a little kid sitting in them. They do offer adult booster cushions--clearly they know the seats are too low, so why not just replace them!!!?? As soon as I checked in here with Yelp I received a free calamari appetizer coupon, which I showed the server. She had never heard of Yelp (really?) but gave me the appetizer. She said she showed her manager too and while the manager knew of Yelp, she was not aware there was a Devon's coupon available there. Still they honored it. I had almond crusted tilapia and it was excellent. The portion was surprisingly small, particularly for the $22 price, but it really was enough for me since I had calamari too. Wine seemed more reasonably priced. The food is great and the atmosphere is too. So I give it 4 stars.

I wasn't expecting much from a restaurant nested in the middle of a mall, but I was pleasantly surprised. Service was great. Our server, Michael was very courteous and well spoken. The ambiance and decor were good, comparable or better than it's "competitors" downtown. The craft cocktails were great, I had the basil mojito. Food also did not disappoint. I wouldn't mind visiting again, maybe after a shopping run in the summer.

Devon's food is pretty bland and definitely not worth the money. The service, I will say, was great. I don't see myself ever going back

Sunday brunch food was really great, especially the lobster mac n cheese, made to order omelets, and carved tenderloin of beef that melted in your mouth. Service was excellent and it was a wonderful dining experience for just $25 pp. Check out the Sunday brunch menu to flavor the wide, yummy variety of food offered. Looking forward to a return visit.

I have been dining at Devon's since they opened after Bayshore was remodeled. Yesterday, I went for the Sunday brunch which I think is an incredibly good value for what you get! The buffet has a good variety of both fish related and non sea related items for those that love fish and seafood and those that don't. Sarah, my server, did a great job of providing me with what I wanted without overdoing it. I have had the buffet many times and ALWAYS enjoy it! And I think you will too!

It's a little expensive but we are huge fans of Devon's Sunday brunch. Very good variety that even picky eaters like my son always request a visit to Devon's brunch every couple of weeks. We've brought large groups for birthdays or when out-of-town guests visit and have never been disappointed. The brunch menu hasn't changed since we started going but that's fine; when you have a popular and adequate menu, why change? The lobster mac & cheese, baked tilapia, tenderloin, grilled vegetables, Asian-flavored chicken wings, and smoked fish are my favorite items. There's also excellent fresh fruits and a large variety of desserts available. If you plan on bringing a large group, make a reservation and ask for one of the private dining rooms. Devon's is a very beautiful, modern-looking restaurant with good ambiance, excellent wait staff, and clean restrooms.

After a day of fishing on Lake Michigan, we were looking for a restaurant that would prepare our catch. No restaurant downtown would do it (food health risk) but the conciere at the Pfister hotel called Devon, talked to the chef and they were happy to accomodate. We arrived with our fish in a cooler, and the chef came out, and took it back to the kitchen. We were seated in a nice booth, great looking restaurant, but I came for the food. We started with a few appetizers, and they were great. Biscuits hot out of the oven, they kept coming around and adding more to your plate until you said stop! Out waitress, Samantha, was great, pleasant, knowledgable and efficient. Got us set up with a few appetizers that were excellent. Then the chef started sending out the entrees. He came out with each one to explain the preparation as they were delivered to the table. First Up - fresh fish tacos with mango salsa and a chipotle spice - EXCELLENT!! Will post some pictures if I can. Second up - pretzel crusted, pan seared over string beans with a mustard/champagne vinagrette sauce - amazing but getting pretty full Third dish - Mesquite grilled over a potato/sage gratin with a fresh vegetable ragout with a hint of cream - delicious!!! The chef came out to see if we wanted another course, but no one could eat another bite. This place has top notch service. THe chef wanted to just charge us for the sides and drinks since we brought out own fish, but we insisted on paying a more reasonable price based on the great service and excellent food. I highly recommend, especially if you are looking for a place to cook fish you just caught!

Every time I go here it's absolutely wonderful. I always grab a drink at the bar first. The bartenders are always friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is romantic yet casual. You could dress up or go in casual clothes and won't get weird looks either way. The wait staff is always excellent. The warm biscuits are amazing!!!! Food is always cooked to perfection. Prices are aoudad better than any of the steak restaurants downtown.

I experienced Devon for the first time for Sunday brunch. The decor is very upscale, and the price for brunch is a steal. From Prime Rib to Lobster Mac & Cheese, assortment of fruits and desserts you shouldn't leave hungry. We did have a problem with our check an error was made by our waitress, but management stepped in and fixed it. All in all if you like Brunch on Sundays expect to pay around $30 plus tip. Make a reservation of get there before 1pm.

It was very good. Definitely the only place in the bayshore area to get a meal made with care. I've eaten the hell out of every other place and finally decided to check out Devon. Service was very good, decent cocktails, nice laid back atmosphere, and very good food for the area. I had the seafood boulliabase and was blown away by the flavor of the broth. There was some rubbery lobster and funny tasting mussels, but very forgiving given everything else.

It's a chain restaurant and in all honesty, I probably am more critical of chains than local establishments. That being said, I've dined at Devon at least 5-6 times and have never had a complaint. The beauty about Devon, is that there are many ways to have an amazing meal there without paying full menu price. Every Tuesday they send a secret email deal to their list subscribers. If you eat between 4-6 M-Thu or 2-6 on Sunday, you can get a 2-course meal for $18.50 or $21 with dessert. They have other prix fix deals randomly too. Now on to tonight's happy hour.... We went to Devon with the idea that we'd take advantage of the secret Tuesday special, but quickly saw that happy hour would be an even better deal for us. I skipped lunch and we CHOWED DOWN! Here's what we had... 2 - Asian Pear martinis ($5.95/each) 1 - Grey Goose pomegranate martini ($5.95/each) 1 - Ketel One lemon drop martini ($5.95/each) Mini Lobster Rolls ($6) - This is really two lobster roll sliders w/a little cup of fries, I could definitely have this as my meal in the future. Vietnamese Style Crab Spring Rolls ($6) -small, but very good Small Maine Mussels ($5) -a big serving of mussels. again, i could make a meal out of this Small Shrimp Sushi Roll ($5) -five piece standard tempura shrimp roll, good 6 - blue point oysters ($6) -standard bluepoints, tasted very fresh and came with a couple sauces to top with Total Bill: less than $55 + tip! Another bonus: the happy hour is valid on the patio and goes until 7pm! I see myself having many summer dinners here in the near future. Also, the service here is always stellar. The only thing I feel I can't comment on is there brunch because I haven't had it........yet!

We love this place. It doesn't matter If we come here for a nice date night dinner, brunch with friends, or lunch with family- We have NEVER been disappointed with the food, drinks, or service. This last visit, we had oysters on the half she'll with vinegar and shallots (if you haven't tried it this way- amazing), lobster bisque which is creamy and you can taste the butter. For dinner I had scallops with lemon asparagus risotto and the husband had crab cakes that were spectacular- huge chunks of crab and not a lot of filler. It is a little pricey, but certainly worth every penny. Go here. On a side note... Brandi W. was our waitress and was AMAZING.

This was the first time I've ever been here. A manufacturer rep was in town and wanted to take my staff out for steak dinner. I saw Devon's had seafood and steaks so I made a reservation. Pros: All of the food was incredible. I personally tasted the crab cakes, raw blue point oysters and crab stuffed hush puppies. My entree was the seared sea scallops with asparagus lemon risotto. All of it was delicious. Cons: Sloooooooow. It took 25 minutes between getting seated and having our first round of drinks delivered. When we got those drinks is when they first took our appetizer order. It was easily another 15 minutes for those to be delivered. It shouldn't take 40+ minutes from the point of being seated to getting something to eat. If part of your name is "Seafood + Steak" the ratio of dishes shouldn't be 50 seafood dishes to 5 steak dishes. In fairness, the one guy in our group who did order steak said it was delicious. Also, as pointed out by another reviewer, the chairs are terrible. I thought my butt was going to sink down to the floor. Overall: If they can fix the speed of their service I would gladly raise my review to 5 stars. The food was great. Just get it to my table in a timely manner.

Love the food and service. However, the interior designer that picked out the chairs for both the bar area and the dining room should return their design fee. Unless, that is, you enjoy a chair that "sinks" considerably when you sit down. However, it is good fun to watch as each bar patron comes in, sits down and then looks for a different bar stool to replace theirs!

We love eating here for special occasions and if you get on their mailing lists they'll often send you $20-$30 coupons for your birthday and other special occasions! This is a great brunch buffet for a family meal (Easter, Birthdays, etc..) because everyone will find something they like. They have very comfortable seating and roomy booths. Their service has always been good for us. The brunch buffet is $24 and contains non-alcoholic beverages, hot bar, omelette bar, carving station and cold bar. Hot spread: Eggs, sausage, bacon, lobster mac and cheese, shrimp enchiladas, asparagus, and other veggies, teriyaki chicken wings and more. Cold spread: Fruit, salad, ahi tuna, smoked salmon, veggies, cheese spread, and more. Omelette bar: Standard. Eggs, toppings, etc. Carving station: Standard. Dessert station: cookies, tortes, brownies, chocolate covered strawberries, and some other things. This really isn't bad considering what you get and all of the options. This is a higher end buffet and is cheaper than if you go to some place like Poto where they advertise a food court type buffet for $5-$10 more. I've never seen anything on the Potowatomi ads that competes with the quality or the environment that Devon will offer for a nicer meal. Also, they have a private room you can ask for and they accept reservations (HIGHLY recommended on special events).

Ok, My review is 1 star because I got food poisoning from eating here. We were shopping on Christmas Eve and stopped in for some snacks. Our server was delightful, the food tho was not very good, aside from the complimentary sweet biscuit, and 15 minutes after leaving both of mine and my husband's stomachs were queasy. (We had the tuna tartar and the way-too-greasy fried calamari) Cut to a few hours later, and we were at our resort in Lake Geneva where we'd planned to spend Christmas skiing. Instead I was starting with an entire night of vomiting. The first thing that came up was the small amount of tuna that my stomach had refused to digest. After that, soda, water, mucus. It was *very* bad, scary, and down right dangerous. I spoke with management days later when I finally started feeling better (it took 5 days to recover!) and the woman I talked to was *very* kind and apologetic, refunding us our snack and offering us dinner vouchers I was in no way going to accept. I've had food poisoning before, but never this bad. I mean, I just had to write this, because that is NOT safe. Not at all.

I have been here many times since it opened. I keep going back because it is good. But last night will be my last time. First of all; Our Server was great. She handled everything with a smile. We ordered the calamari, took three times for the kitchen to get the order right. But even then it was not good. This was a surprise. I get the calamari every time. This time it was not good. The soup was great. Dinner- for both of us it was not great, heck it was not good, it was okay. Okay does not cut it when we are paying for great. I was wondering where the Manager was. When I go to a nice place and something is screwed up, the Manager will stop in at the table to check in and apologizes. Nothing. Like I said before , our waitress was top notch and she got a good tip. The food was not top notch. I am bummed because this is good location.

Ignore that it is in the mall and a chain; this restaurant is worth a visit. My first experience was their lunch special, which is a fantastic value. I still drool and think about a hot bowl of seafood gumbo and the lobster tamale. I enjoyed it so much, I went back for dinner and it was just as good, if not better. Earlier in the year, I gathered a group of friends for my birthday brunch. They have a great private room that comfortably fit the ten guests and two children. The brunch is an impressive spread of hot and cold items, including seafood. Tiny belgian waffles delighted the table, as well as "dessert island". The wine list is impressive and haven't experienced a bad recommendation from my server yet. I signed up for the e-mail club and often receive coupons for $20 off $50 or entree deals on my birthday. This is one e-mail that does not go into the junk folder - I use them every time! Need more convincing? All bottles of wine under $100 are half price on Sundays. Bring a friend and try something new. Reservations available on OpenTable. Fun Fact: Purchase $100 in gift certificates and receive an additional $20 during the holidays. Don't forget to invite me to the party!

We had a wonderful lunch on Thursday. I had the Lobster Cobb Salad, it had nice large chunks of lobster, beautiful fresh greens, all the ingredients for a Cobb salad and a wonderful dressing. Our server was so pleasant, efficient and nice---she definitely added to a great experience.

If you have big business clients coming in, this is where you need to have your lunch meeting. The service is consistently good and they have a good variety of food that skews toward seafood but can accommodate any dietary restrictions. They also have private rooms if needed. My favorite dish thus far has been their jumbo crab melt. Their biscuits they bring out to start are amazing as well. Last time, I found out they have specialty iced teas. I had a raspberry iced tea and it was amazing.

The service at this restaurant was outstanding. Especially given the fact that it was a large group of us (35+ guests). The servers/waiters were cordial and efficient. I ordered the lobster bisque and almond encrusted tilapia. The bisque was delicious. The tilapia was crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly. I truly enjoyed their biscuit. It was buttery, flaky and peppery. I would have asked for seconds (probably even thirds) if I hadn't been with the bosses! ;)

Chain restaurant? Normally terrible...but put aside all of your prejudice and give Devon a try. A group of us went there for lunch and we were VERY impressed with the food and the service. We had Amanda as our server and she was incredible. She explained the entrees with amazing accuracy and was prompt with service. 5 stars for Amanda! We ordered the power lunches for $13 and were not expecting the good size portions. They serve amazing biscuits with their honey butter before the meal. Don't fill up even they though are tasty because the meal size is impressive. The lobster bisque is a huge bowl that they pour at the table. Our friend had the salad which was great but go with the lobster bisque. All of us had the crab melt as the sandwich. It was very rich and they didn't skimp at all on the crab meat. Next time I will probably try something different because lobster bisque and then crab can be a little much. Opt out of the fries and get a different side with the power lunch. We all tried something different...brussel sprouts, cauliflower, and the lobster mac and cheese. All of the sides were prepared to perfection. Our friend who started with the salad was the only one who could eat their entire meal. We looked at the brunch menu and will definitely be back. $25 for AYCE with omelettes, pancakes, prime rib, lobster mac n cheese, etc. Bloody marys were priced at $4.50 which is a steal. Normally I don't gush about a chain restaurant but this one definitely breaks the mold. We will be back there again.

Great atmosphere, food quality and friendly staff. Casual upscale, you can dress it up for the dining room or private party rooms and flip flops in the bar or outside sitting ... which is awesome on a summer day with the water fountain, especially if there is music in the park!

The pretzel encrusted trout was excellent. It was moist and tasty. The balance of the meal included fingerling potatoes and green beans which we are all done to a "T". We will be coming back soon.

Devens is fantastic! In St. Paul Minnesota my go to is W.A. Frosts for a superb artisanal meal. In Milwaukee, WI up in Bayshore it is definitely here! I love the service. I love the food. I love the drinks. Tonight I had bass scallops on risotto with braised fennel...heavenly. For a drink I had the Eastsider, if you like Hendricks gin I highly recommend it. For dessert I had the lava cake, a wonderfully warm deep dark chocolate cake sided with three perfect delicate raspberries on one side and on the other a delicious dollop of hazelnut ice cream. I love it I love it I love it. I don't see how you could go wrong here.

Hands down one of the best Sunday brunches I've had in the area. There's an exceptional hot dish area, amazing cold dish area, omelette / carving station, and some amazing desserts at a very considerate price point. We had a party of 10, and everyone at the table was impressed with the quality of food, the level of service, and cost associated with the experience. It's a new mainstay on our list of places to brunch.

I know it is a chain. But, it doesn't show. The service is A+, the food is awesome, they have a couple private rooms for large parties and the wine list is top notch. Ordered a nice bottle of red from Argentina made by Gascon Malbec. Fret not, it was gone before my fish arrived. I had the Spicy Tuna Rolls for an appetizer & Seared Halibut for my entrée. Both were beautifully prepared & tasty. I want to go back for the $25 Sunday brunch. All bottles of wine under $100 are half price. Sign up online to get weekly deals & a $25 certificate for your birthday. Devon is by far the best restaurant in the Bayshore Town Center. .

Devon is very close to where I live, and is probably the 'best' restaurant in the immediate area, so I come here a lot. I love seafood and I love steak- and I am also from the east coast, so I've had a lot of amazing seafood and steak in my life. Devon is consistently wonderful. The wine list is great- I always stick to whites when I have seafood, and you can order 9oz carafes for most, which is perfect for 2 glasses. I've also had their delicious iced teas which come freshly brewed in a little teapot perched upon a small pitcher of ice. What a lovely presentation! As for appetizers, the shrimp scampi is my favorite. It's buttery and garlicky and the shrimp are fresh and fantastic. Their mini lobster rolls are very delicious and authentic according to the rolls they're served on. At Devon, they grill their steaks (and some seafood) on the grill with a very smoky flavor. This flavor is not for me. I always ask for my steaks seared, and they are done beautifully and perfectly. I always get the scallops, too- they are always a nice size, sweet, tender and fresh, as scallops should be. Their desserts are great too. We like the strawberry shortcake. Creme brûlée never did any harm, either. Devon is a great restaurant, and is very consistent in their quality, taste and presentation of food.

One of the better restaurants in the area for seafood. Had the lobster claw app, shrimp cocktail, and the steak. My fiancee had the crab legs, which they split for her upon request. The lobster claw was very meaty, fresh and tasted of the ocean. The shrimp was nice and sweet, and very large. She loved her crab. Unfortunately i didnt care for my steak. I expected much more for the price. Not that it was bad, but stick to the seafood.

I think the location of this place scared me, I don't like to travel outside my bubble of downtown Milwaukee. But i am extremely glad i did. I am not crazy about bayshore, mainly because of the parking and Devon takes care of that right away with Valet-big plus. The Atmosphere of this place is great, very comfortable with a nice patio. Good wine menu, awesome seafood selection, and ample steak selection for non sea food lovers. I will definitely be returning here, great food great experience.

I've only been to Devon once, and it took me a while because I had to sneak over there while my seafood-intolerant husband was away on business. Which coincided with Fox 6 Days of Dining week, a bonus for me! Although I've been on Devon's email list for some time and I know I could get a lot of good deals there because they send a lot of great offers out, including a recent birthday coupon for a BOGO entree. In addition to good coupons, they also have an early diner's menu including specially-priced wines and beer. I took a seat at the bar, and from the special Fox 6 $35 dining menu I chose: the lobster bisque, the grilled Atlantic salmon served with potato sage gratin, leek fondue and mustard vinaigrette and finished with the cookie box. Everything was great and I was surprised that the cookie box was really a good sized box filled with several cookies. I ate the lemon one right away, and the next day tried the chocolate cookie, which tasted like a sour cream chocolate cookie - divine! The bartender who tended to me most of the time appeared to be new and was very attentive and friendly. Before or after a bit of shopping, this is a great stop for some good food and wine with friends, or maybe I could convince Mr. R to give it a try sometime, too.

Brunch today was good and reasonably priced ($25.00 per person) and included a non alcoholic drink or a $4.99 mimosa. The staff was friendly and didn't rush to turn the table at all. It was a great brunch and afternoon, the only the that may have put me of a bit may have been how the buffet was split into two sections in a different sitting area --but still a nice flow. Enjoy!

The service is all that might make me try this place again. First, the tables are so high it awkward to eat. I'm 6 feet tall... My wife is shorter. The table is about an inch below her armpit. Super awkward. All four of our dishes were cold. Just not impressed and over all let down. On top of that, our ticket for four with wine was one of the highest we've ever had. Update: Faryle S from Devon did contact me. She asked for some contact info- I gave it to her, and that was it. Never heard from again. I don't know if it's worse to pretend to care, or to just ignore the reviews all together. Haven't gone back since, and we don't intend to.

Devon's has some of the best brunch items ever. It is definitely worth the money!!! I don't even have a favorite food because it is all delicious. And even if you never get to go during brunch, their regular lunch and dinner menu is also delicious. If you do nothing else, get the crab cakes. They are heavenly!

One of my all time favorites, with many good experiences and just one bad one. I was served undercooked salmon on my birthday while pregnant. Haven't been back since but plan to give it another shot.

Having been here a handful of times, I feel that it is time to write a review. The place has fantastic vibe to it, they have lots of deals and freebies if you sign up for the email list, and the food is excellent to boot. All in all, this is probably the best restaurant in the city of Glendale. Yeah, yeah, I know it is a chain, but surely that doesn't show. The service is top notch, the food is awesome, they have a couple private rooms for large groups, and the wine list is A+. On Sunday, they have a brunch. $25 gets you an all you can eat extravaganza with endless N/A beverages. Mimosas and Bloody's are each pretty cheap too at $4.50 each. I had a lot of various items. From the hot bar, to the smoked fish bar, to the Belgian waffles. Things to get: Smoked [Salmon, Trout, Peppered Mackerel], lobster mac, Belgian waffles with blueberry syrup, desserts (Grand Marnier White Chocolate Mousse and Panna Cotta), applewood smoked bacon, and sweet potato corn hash. Didn't try: carving station and omelets. For a normal dinner, the barramundi fish was excellent, the jumbo lump crab cakes are nice, and the shellfis bouillabaisse was a wonderful surprise. For a side, you cannot go wrong with the Brussels sprouts with La Quercia proscuitto. If I recall, I had the Belle Glos Meiomi pinot noir, and it was a very good wine. If I had to make a comment that would truly help the experience and give the chain 5 stars, it would be to pare down the menu, as it is a touch expansive. That always makes me second guess myself, and feel frustrated. On a bunch day, please ensure that if you have a bar tender, that the bar has cash. It was rather frustrating to have to wait for change... 45 minutes after you opened.

1-21-15 This was the first time ever here. Man I was impressed. From trying oysters for the first time to the fantastic service it was a great experience. I don't frequent more upscale joints on a regular basis but I'll be coming here more often based on last nite.

Probably not.... That's what I would tell someone if they asked me if I would ever go again. The ambiance is very nice. We sat in the south east section where the chairs (opposed to the booth) were rather low putting the table around nipple height making it awkward to eat. Shawn, our server did a nice job keeping our party(4) engaged and laughing (one of the reasons for 3 stars). For touting itself as a higher end seafood place (I dare to see what a low end seafood place is like) they left lots to be desired considering there are about 5 other great seafood restaurants in the Milwaukee area. Two people in the party thought the food was good while the other two were not impressed. The Shellfish stew tasted like onion soup and lacked any flavor. All four of us agreed the portion sizes were small. If you are looking for great seafood I would recommend Harbor House.

Went to Devon for the first time after walking past it for years. The "happy hour" menu was not a good deal at all, and I don't think anyone in my party was wowed by the food. I had seafood enchiladas and it was just very wrong. It had a cream based sauce in it - I didn't understand that at all. I love Jicama, which was the side, and it tasted very off. I don't know what the dressing was or really why it was a side with seafood enchiladas in the first place. Another guest had a big-ol' piece of hair in her soup. Gross. Also, didn't see much of anything available on the vegetarian front, but I suppose it is a seafood and steak joint.

Very nice decor, has a trendy vibe, wait staff were friendly and efficient. I had spicy tuna sushi and a Caesar salad for dinner, table mate had trout with fresh green beans and asparagus. Both were very attractive and tasty, the sushi was on the stingy size for $11.00. (I'm from So. Cal so I feel like I know sushi) The Caesar salad seemed a bit on the wilted side. Home made biscuits they offer with a sweet butter, didn't do much for us but I guess they are the restaurants trademark. 3 stars as the salad was lacking as was the sushi

My husband and I are die hard fans of Carnevore for fine dining and we actually love their cold seafood platter, but Devon's has now become our new favorite place for seafood. The portions were plentiful, service was great (though we did go early in the evening since the kids were with us). They were able to accommodate my daughters nut allergy, they have a reasonable corkage fee and the menu offers a great selection of both seafood and steaks. We'll be there quite often, for sure!

This review is for their Sunday brunch. It's $25 per person. The food is absolutely outstanding. Huge variety of everything. I especially like the rare Ahi Tuna and roast beef. This Sunday brunch beats any that I have been to, even the ones that emphasize peel-and-eat shrimp as their main attraction. Devon is well known for their quality and higher prices but you do get what you pay for for. This is my 4th Sunday brunch at Devons. I don't give a rating of 5 stars easily but I feel that the brunch was definitely worth the rating.

A beautiful establishment located in the heart of the popular Bayshore Mall community. Dimly lit setting creates a relaxing, enjoyable atmosphere. Extensive list of wine, which is half price on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Generous food specials during that same time slot, as well as from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM from Monday through Thursday. Extremely friendly staff provides outstanding service. In particular, Ekan was very helpful and made us feel incredibly welcome. A must-visit for Milwaukee residents and visitors alike!

Came here for brunch (Sunday only). All you can eat with nonalcoholic beverages included is $25. We tried: Omelet: standard (ask for 1 egg only - they're huge) Spring rolls: tiny, not impressed, was hoping for real sushi Peel and eat shrimp: can't really screw that up Tomato/mozzarella salad: amazing, good dressing too Prime rib: carved fresh Chicken Piccata: soooooo yummy with a white sauce Thai chicken wings: rivals other wing specialty places Lobster Mac N Cheese: so rich and tasty Bacon: bacon! Also, the biscuit and sweet butter that they bring as soon as you sit down is heaven! Service was friendly too. I did come here years ago once for dinner and had an OK experience as well.

Had a gift card here, so me and the wife stopped by for some food. Ended up just getting Appetizers because stuff is fairly expensive, however what we got was filling and delicious. The wait staff was extremely reserved and was more a part of the background rather than grabbing my attention.

I have to admit that I wasn't expecting a whole lot from a chain restaurant in a mall. I have to say that I was beyond satisfied with my meal at Devon. One big plus of this establishment is that they're open on Christmas Eve! At least there are other options than greasy Chinese food out there! Food wise, I was pleased with everything that was ordered. Appetizer wise, the crab cakes were delicious. These gems were made predominantly with big chunks of grab, unlike most establishments that tend to load their cakes up with bread crumb and other cheap fillers. A granny smith slaw was a nice compliment to the crab cakes. My table also ordered the duck flatbread, which was good but nothing too out of the ordinary. The menu here is quite extensive, so be prepared to go back and forth for a while. Entree wise, the menu is split up into three categories.........grilled seafood with your choice of two sides, steaks, and seafood entrees. A true test of the quality of seafood is ordering it made with as few ingredients as possible, so I opted for the rainbow trout. The fish was mesquite grilled and seasoned only with salt and pepper. Wow, this piece of fish was made to perfection! The flavor of the mesquite was there but not at all overpowering. I just had the server top it off with some freshly ground pepper and a squeeze of lemon, and I was happy diner! The two sides I chose were the lobster mac n cheese and brussels sprouts with prosciutto. Other reviews of the mac n cheese were spot on (do not skimp on the lobster), which made the $3 up charge well worth the money. The brussels spouts too were well done, and I highly recommend them. Service was very good, and our water glasses never were empty for over a minute or two. It's not a cheap restaurant, but more of an upscale casual type of establishment. Entrees run from about $20 to the mid $40s for the ribeye - just a notch less than Harbor House. The atmosphere is pretty low key. It was Christmas Eve, so there were predominantly families there. The dining room is dark and intimate, so this would be a great spot for a date. In any case, I highly recommend Devon as a great spot to get your fish and seafood on.

Went here this morning for brunch. Amazing place, loved everything they offered, definitely coming back. Our server Brittany was friendly and did a great job. Highly recommend this place for their brunch buffet. I guess the only thing I can offer for them to improve on is that today their coffee was a little bitter and the panna cotta had a slight waxy texture, otherwise everything else was incredible.

I wasn't even looking to eat lunch at Bayshore, but Devon looked good. Even if there are six of them in the Midwest, at some point of upscale-ness a restaurant with multiple locations still lives or dies by the staff working in this particular location. The complimentary honey biscuit was tasty, and the server brought it to me straight from the pan in which they were cooked. A nice presentation touch, I thought. Having reviewed the menu beforehand, I was all ready to get the Nicoise, but my waiter started raving about the scallops, so I deferred to his knowledge on the subject. It worked out, because I didn't notice the long list of sides they had available, and even though my lunch came with my choice of two, I had no choice but to get three: grilled asparagus, brussel sprouts with pancetta, and the roasted cauliflower with bacon & onion jam. I largely judge a restaurant on their ability to cook asparagus, and I wasn't disappointed. The sprouts and cauliflower were cooked slightly less than I prefer, but that's the trend in restaurants nowadays. Obviously brussel sprouts and pancetta are a delicious combination, and the cauliflower and bacon was basically a riff on the same sort of thing. Kudos for Devon for putting these sides ahead of the obvious and more popular crowd pleasers like mashed potatoes and lobster mac and cheese. Oh yeah - the scallops were immaculate. Pricey, but they ship them in from Boston, so it's no surprise. Six locations or not, I left a restaurant that provided me some exquisitely-cooked food, much of which is pretty hard to find on Milwaukee menus. A perfect fit for Bayshore.

Oh my - this buffet brunch was good. It's pricey, yes ($24)... but it has an incredible variety of foods as well as non-alcoholic drinks included. I had two cranberry juices and my urinary tract is feeling top notch. Thanks Devon! I also tried almost every single thing on the buffet just for you Yelpers (I did it for me). I received no pleasure from this gluttonous feast (I loved every minute of it). Favorites that I tried? The Thai chicken wings! How do they keep them so crispy on the outside? Very nice. Also the shrimp enchiladas. Everything I had was good, but those two things were the stars of the show. Do you like lobster in your mac'n'cheese? We all do. Desserts? Yes, have some. I tried every single one of them. I might have accidentally eaten multiples of some. I'm not a dessert-counter, get off my case. I also created a mega-dessert by putting a small spoonful of the chocolate panna cotta on top of one of the Grand Marnier White Chocolate Mousse tarts and then shoving the whole gee-dee thing into my fat face. I died instantly of happiness. What a way to go.

Had an excellent meal and service tonight. I may have reviewed Devon's previously, however I just have to say again, I love this restaurant. Shrimp scampi, boyfriend had steak and lobster, and I had tuna with artichoke and lobster mac. Service was fantastic, Tiffany knew the menu and was very attentive. It was just a fantastic evening.

Devon is lovely, but this definitely was not a home run for us. The ambiance is fantastic. Dim lighting, dark wood, and soft music take you away from the hustle and bustle of mall traffic outside. My dining companion and I decided to share a bunch of appetizers. We ordered the ahi tuna sushi rolls, the jumbo lump crab cakes, the vietnamese crab spring rolls, and a cup of the lobster bisque. Everything was good - the crab spring rolls were definitely the star of the show. I was skeptical about the inclusion of mint - but man-oh-man, it really brought the whole dish together. The crab cakes were good as well - definitely not shy with the meat - which I appreciate. The tuna sushi rolls and the lobster bisque left a little to be desired. The sushi could have been from a supermarket, and the lobster bisque couldn't hold a candle to Capital Grille's. Nothing offensive enough to send back, but wouldn't order either again. For dessert, the waitress recommended the carrot cake, saying that it was "world famous" - but there was literally nothing remarkable about it. I would have no complaints had it not been so hyped up, but if you tell me something is amazing, I'm going to get my hopes up. We ordered the adorable little cookie box to go, and inside was probably one of the best cookies I have ever had. It was a almond-chocolate tuile and it was absolutely fantastic. Skip the carrot cake and order eleven of those.

Food and service were wonderful. I loved the surf & turf combination (perfect portion for someone who wants to try different items on the menu - like me) and for $8 extra you can add a soup/salad and a dessert!! I ordered the 4 oz filet + crab cake + roasted cauliflower + fresh asparagus combination. I wasn't too crazy about the filet because it tasted alright... not the best I've had. Temperature was a little more done than I'd like (I ordered rare but it came out med rare) The crab cake was delicious mainly because it had no filler like crab cakes elsewhere. Roasted cauliflower with bacon & onion jam - amazing and a quite brilliant combination.

I've eaten here a few times and I can definitely count on Devon to be consistent. I love their happy hour specials! First come the sweet biscuits, and then the tuna happy hour roll... well, at least that's my usual order. However, the last time I had the grilled veggie plate there was too much oil, like they didn't get a good fire on the grill or something. But something I'm not complaining about is the happy hour wine pricing! The prices are perfect enough that you'll forget how much you needed the happy hour. :)

You probably weren't going to do this, but just in case... don't get the sushi rolls. Pretty much everything is wrong: not actually tempura; not really sushi rice; scallions in the soy sauce. Just don't.

Devon, you definitely know how to do seafood, and I'm here to tell everyone that you also do brunch quite well. Good show, *golf claps* 3 of my girlfriends & I each had great news to celebrate, so we decided to meet up for brunch to toast all of our good fortunes. We were seated very promptly as always, & our server was very friendly & professional. We got there kind of early so we sort of beat the "rush", but there are so many delicious things to choose from that even if we hadn't, we would have still had a great meal in a great place. Listen. When you go to Devon for brunch, you HAVE to eat the waffles. It's mandatory, and not just because one of my nicknames was The Waffle Queen. (seriously it was.) Those waffles! Oh they make me sing like Whitney Houston. They came out hot & slightly crispy, & two of my gfs ate them without any syrup at all. That's how you know you've got yourself a quality waffle, take it from The Waffle Queen. I would embarrass myself by stating how many waffles I ate, if I could remember. There's almost no way to have a bad meal here; they have anything you might want for breakfast (and some stuff you didn't know you want, but you totally do). I had asparagus, sweet potato corn hash, veggie spring rolls, a warm drop biscuit with honey butter, & a custom made omelet. There's usually two guys at the custom omelet station but on this occasion, there was only one fellow working alone. When we ordered though, he was working the 4 skillets like an ultimate professional. Kudos, Awesome Omelet Guy. The desserts are awe inspiring as well; who else serves fresh chocolate dipped strawberries? Mmmmm. Eat those. I loved the mini-tarts & the panna cotta too; the orange-topped one tasted like a dreamsicle. Excuse me while I drool like Homer Simpson. All in all, we gals had a roaring good time & an excellent meal on a sunny Sunday morning. You don't need 3 friends to have a good time though; take your mom! Take your dad! Grandparents! That girl/guy you're trying to impress! Or just go by yourself. It's definitely worth it.

My wife and I always look forward to eating at Devon. The lobster bisque is the best I have ever had. Everything about the restaurant is held to a high standard: decor, service, and food. The seafood is very fresh and the staff friendly and accomodating.

For the level of cuisine this restaurant seems to take itself much too seriously. They have a nice wine selection although don't bother asking the bartenders for any useful information about it. I have had crab cakes many times and these were by far the worst, even with a slightly drunken and dulled palate. They were dry and the sauces didn't do much to improve on the overall flavor. The only positive was that everything we sampled was half priced for happy hour.

Good lunch value in the "power lunch" section. Baby greens salad had too much dressing but still good. Lump crab sandwich solid.

Devon's is easy to like. In the summer, the outdoor seating is one of the best in the area. The must have item is the crab cakes. It is made the correct way -- chunks of real crab just held together with the minimum amount of filler. The salmon is another good choice. Yes, it is a chain, but If you are at Bayshore and want to best meal available, choose Devon's.

I had to update my earlier review from 4 stars to 5 after enjoying an amazing meal at Devon last Saturday. I had the filet combo with scallops, and Oh, My, God, it was so good. Seriously, I don't even have words to describe it, jus moaning sounds. I also had the heirloom tomato salad with basil ice cream and it killed me it was so good. My husband had the surf and turf as well, only for his surf he had the crab cakes, which were really good - almost completely fresh crab, not a bunch of filler. The service was outstanding, the decor lovely as always, and if I haven't said it before, I'll say it now, I cannot believe this treasure is in the mall! But it is a pretty hip mall.

I highly recommend Devon's weekday "Power Lunch" combos featuring a bowl of soup or salad with a half sandwich or appetizer. The seafood gumbo soup (poured tableside over a scoop of white rice) is a fabulous, spicy kick in the pants packed with seafood. With the attentive service and the modern upscale decor, Devon seems less like a corporate chain restaurant and more like a big city fine dining restaurant. Good addition to the newly renovated Bayshore dining scene.

This is my first choice when going out for fish. They have a great selection every night and they cook everything to perfection. We went at Happy Hour and started with some of the appetizers, that are at a reduced price as well as select drinks. My husband had one of their martini's ($5.00) and I had a glass of Cab ($5.00). We started with the Salmon flatbread. It was delicious, a nice crip crust with a sauce and thin slices of salmon for $5. It could've easily been a meal for me. We also ordered that lobster tamale, which was very unique and delicious. For dinner we both oredered the baramundi (?). It's a white mild fish, that has a buttery flavor and it just melts in your mouth. I definitely get this fish again but it's not always available. Their lobster bisque is hands down my favorite and the lobster mac 'n cheese is to die for. We ordered 2 side orders of the Lobster mac to go and had it for lunch the next day. The service is excellent!! I would highly recommend Devon's. Just a note, we've had the Sunday brunch numerous times and it is exceptional. There aren't many good brunches left in Milwaukee since Pandl's closed a few years ago. So this is our #1 choice for brunch. I have to note that "Pat", the manager is very pleasant and always checks to make sure everything is okay. I really like when managers are there to check on things.

I enjoy coming to Devon but I have to say it's not high on my list. My gf brought me for my birthday and to quota her there was no wow factor. While the decor of the restaurant is wonderful the meals were just ok. The cost vs the taste really brought the experience down.

The Sunday brunch was everything I expected. The service was good, and the coffee was excellent. We never had to ask for a refill. Of the entrees, I really enjoyed the cold seafood items. Shrimp, mussels, salmon, and two other smoked fish. All were good. The cold line of the buffet was solid, although a couple more salad entrees would have been appreciated. Moving on to the hot side, the beef (sliced and served for you) was outstanding. Did not do the make your custom omelette station, but the ingredients looked good, with a good selection. The family was split on the sausage and bacon. The bacon is a sweet hickory type, and the sausage moderately flavored. I thought they were ok. The shrimp enchilada was spicy and tasty. And the Thai chicken was excellent also. I liked the lobster Mac and cheese too. The desserts were ok, not outstanding. the best dessert was a chocolate cookie on the cookie plate. Key lime tart - ok. All in all, I liked this buffet. The service was great, the food excellent, and the items were different than a standard buffet.

Customer Service at Devon's is supreme! Everyone associated with this restaurant went over and beyond to assure that we had an enjoyable dining experience. The only complaint was I was unable to speak with the chef to compliment him/her on an EXCELLENT meal! 5 star food and 5 star service in my opinion. I would say pricey, but when you take into consideration the 5 star service, it was worth the money.

This was the best meal we had while on vacation. My hubby and I had the prefix meals and they were a very good deal. The food was tasty, non greasy and nicely portioned. The waitress was helpful and pleasant. She first told us that they were out of sweet potato for my meal then she managed to produce it as part of my meal...kudos to her. She seemed a little unplugged with the kids meal but nothing major. The biscuits with honey butter are supposed to be their little signature. I cannot say that they overly thrilled me. I would have preferred savory cheese scones with salted butter. This was the best meal that the three of us had for under $100. We also got to sit outside on a lovely warm evening at Bayshore. I hope that they come to California.

visited Devon a couple of months ago, and it was an awful experience. The waiter acted as if he was our buddy more than a waiter. There are too many mixups to type here..with the waters not arriving, and unknowledgable waiter, food not coming at the right time, etc. The crabcakes were the highlite of the nite. I wrote to them about my experience, and they gave us a complimentary meal. They knew we were coming in, so they really pulled out all the stops for us. Which was bad, because then they knew to impress us. I would rather have went in again anonymously- because service should be consistent- not just top notch for finicky diners like myself. Of course the 2nd visit was excellent. The food was great. The lobster mac and cheese with truffle oil is positively sinister, in a goooood way. I think that because the restaurant is stuck in a mall doesn't give it the platform it deserves to give the best quality service (college aged staff), and not being downtown I think makes it full of sweatpants wearing shoppers. I don't like to be in my fancy pants dress next to someone rocking a hoodie. They would be better suited in a different location. We need more seafood restaurants in downtown Milwaukee.

They have wine flights x 3 for $9. We had the one called Platinum blondes which was I. Martin Codax Albarino, II. S.A. Prum Essence Spain, Riesling, Germany III. Zaca Mesa Viognier, Santa Ynez Valley. It's to your taste pref since I liked II & my hubby liked III. Of course, there was a card with a nice descriptor like "fresh fruit flavors of apricot & peach perfectly balanced by a racy acidity" for II & "sweet peaches & pears w/ complex hilites of honey, bloosomes & spice for I. I tried to memorize all this but no way!! As for food, I now tried the gumbo + turkey club which were both great ($8.95) & my hubs had the shrimp & scallop salad ($15.50) which I also tried. We both exclaimed that this was one of our faves & I should up this to a 4.5. I guess I rarely give a 5 unless everything is a 100% perfection but this is close. Our waitress was Jamie, who was excellent & did admit she hadn't tried the wine flight.

Nice place. Part of a small chain with the original in Philadelphia and another in downtown Chicago. Been here for a dinner, a lunch and a Sunday breakfast/brunch. Pleasant all three times. Fresh fish, nicely prepared. As another reviewier observed--very consistent. In my view Devon is much better then some other chains like McCormick & Schmick, Mitchell's, etc.

The first time I went, I ordered the salad with grilled shrimp and scallops and loved it, so that is what I get every single time I have been back. This chain is a little more expensive but worth it! Very consistent. Beautiful decor.

i went on valentines...they were out of the lobster, lobster bisque, crab cakes and creme brulee...that's pretty ridiculous. i was bummed because i' had read other great reviews of the lobster and crab cakes. it's not like i can just get up and go to some other sea food restaurant, or any restaurant for that matter, without reservations on a night like that...it would have been nice if you comped me something. like the mediocre mussels we got instead?

Descriptive phrase: fancy but approachable seafood. Location: Bayshore Mall. Could be better. Space: sorta classy, sorta fun, very nice. Service: outstanding. Austin C made an amazing impression and stuck to his (perfect) recommendations. Food: on-point. I liked their warm, buttery biscuits, and I hate biscuits. I liked their crab cakes ($17 for 4), and I rarely do. And I loved, absolutely loved their Char-crusted Ahi Tuna ($34). It was a GIANT portion of perfectly-seasoned and, yes, charred, Ahi tuna. I was astounded by how well it was cooked. And the bed of potatoes, asparagus, and sweet sauce was a thoughtful complement. I'd absolutely return for some fresh seafood.

I should state I'm not a fan of chains, or restaurants in malls, but I'll give Devon a pass on both as it's a great place for lunch. I typically run with something off their power lunch menu, and nothing I've ordered to date disappoints. My personal favorite is the fish taco's with the strawberry salad. It's very rare around here I find a lunch where I get good food, service, and something healthy in my stomach all at a great price.

Have been about a half-dozen times since moving to the North Shore. Some of the best seafood preparation in town, despite being part of a chain. Happy hour specials are great too if you just want to nosh on a variety of great items. Great wine list and love the patio too. The tuna tartar is fantastic as are the oysters and smoked salmon flat bread. Service has been great every time - even when the place was packed.

I brought my husband here for his birthday, he loved it. The lobster was good (and fresh) as was my sushi (the spicy tuna and shrimp tempura). The waitress was knowledgeable and professional and the place was nice. It was a little expensive but I was expecting that going in to it. Although everything was good, I must say that better sushi can be found in the area. Devon has great "early bird" deals, in which we did not partake (because we are chronically late of course). I would recommend and will return... probably for said specials.

Four stars is spot on for this place. Pros: Excellent fish of all kinds, I especially like the tuna prepared medium rare. They also have some kind of tomato salad that comes with an out-of-this-world pesto ice cream (and it's an appetizer, not a dessert!) Cons: Eating dinner here means you are going to dinner at the mall. I've just never been a fan of that, so it brings down the ambiance factor for me a bit. That being said, it's very nice inside. Good wine list.

Although it's a chain and I don't really go for that kind of thing, I really enjoyed my visit here. It was on an impromptu date with my fiance and it proved a good choice for date night. Here were my impressions: Menu. Large menu with a great variety of options. However, with great variety also means that deciding on one option can be really challenging. They go out of their way to make everything sound delicious and it really did take me a long time to pick what I ultimately wanted. I also liked the a la carte method available for ordering entrees with various sides. I decided finally on having the scallops and risotto. The risotto was perfectly cooked (that gets a round of applause alone since I'm horribly picky about risotto) and the scallops were sizable and flavorful. Desert list was well rounded as well. Their wine list was very impressive both in diversity and price range. I appreciate that they have so many different flights available to pair with your dining experience. The only caveat I can offer in the beverage department is that their liquor selection is lacking. If you are hoping for a nice scotch or after dinner liqueur, you won't find it here.

I ordered the panko fried shrimp for lunch which was delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant positively adds elegance to the eating experience at Devon.

I used to go to Devons all the time, but I hadn't been in a while because I felt it started to go down hill. I went back tonight was was pleasantly surprised that things were back to their old delicious ways! I dream of those scone-biscuity things with the butter they bring you. Mmmm. Those alone are worth the visit. The lemon asparagus risotto is also not to be missed. However the star of the show is the crab cake! Yum!! Great service, good food, super convenient for shopping. I'll definitely put Devon's back into my regular rotation!

In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in the Bayshore Mall. The service, atmosphere, and food are all excellent. It is nice that they have valet parking for only $5 when the weather is snowy and cold. There are not many sit down restaurants in Whitefish Bay and this one and Jack Pandl's are our favorites.

Fantastic! Service was attentive and friendly, and our meals were just delicious. We had the lobster mac-n-cheese and vegetable ravioli with shrimp. For a starter, we had the crab cakes, and while they were omg so good, they were not worth $7 a piece. So we'll probably skip on appetizers next time, but I'm definitely looking forward to going back. If you sign up for their email list, you get a $15 off coupon, and one for a free entree for your birthday.

Wish I lived closer to this place. Happened to be in the area and "yelped" outdoor dining as it was a beautiful 85 degree day. I got the menu and noticed they had a 4-6 PM special for 19.5 - got the lobster bisque (if there were 1/2 stars I would deduct for the lack of lobster pieces) but the filet and panko fried shrimp saved the 5 star rating; as did my server, Ryan. Was there when needed as if he were waiting for my every need. No question I will be back when I'm near Bayshore mall!!

I used to be a regular diner at Devon but a sub-par meal a few years ago made me feel it wasn't worth the drive from downtown and there were better options closer to home for seafood. But recently, I invited an employee to lunch and wanted someplace different than Ruby Tuesday's @ Park Place. I choose Devon and I was satisfied. Place still looks great and the staff is very friendly. When we walked in, my employee was kind of taken back by how nice it was and asked if I had permission from our president to be here. I guess it is better than anything they have in West Bend. Food was good but nothing exceptional. I had the lobster mac & cheese. Good mac & cheese with a bread topping but could have used just a bit more lobster. It was still a tasty lunch dish. My employee had a lunch special of the lobster bisque and wrap. He seemed to enjoy it. Service was attentive without being intrusive and we were able to discuss work issues in a comfortable setting and away from the office. Will I choose Devon the next weekend night I want seafood? Probably not. It is a mall restaurant after all and when I have some of the best seafood being served @ Umami Moto just a few blocks from my place, Devon's not going to make me drive up to Bayshore. But it does make for a really good lunch or dinner spot if you're in the area.

2/5 based on our entrees, 3/5 overall... I brought my folks here for a "fancy dinner" and while it was a very nice atmosphere and the servers were great, our main entrees were filet mignons- not impressive. We ordered them in medium and medium well and they were all tough. Our sides were lemony asparagus and they looked like little twigs, not to mention they only gave us 5 of those twigs. The rolls were dry and the only thing that I would consider delicious was the lobster Mac n cheese. The scallops were fairly decent, but nothing to rave about. Sigh.

Disclaimer: This review is only of the Sunday brunch buffet. If you are some fancypants looking to see if it is worth taking your girlfriend/wife here for dinner, read a different review. There is no way to sugar coat it, the buffet is a bit pricey. As a person that has eaten at approximately 13 trillion buffets over the past 4-5 years, let me tell you this: It is worth it (well, not if you have a seafood allergy). But for most of us, it's worth every penny. Here's why: First, you get all the seared ahi tuna (sushi-grade, of course) you can handle. I usually start with 2-3 plates of this. People look at me funny when I clean out the whole tray. It is amazing. It is served cold, texture is fantastic and they give you plenty of cracker choices to eat with it (I eat mine straight up....not wanting to waste stomach space with crackers). I eat the price of the buffet in this fish alone. Secondly, they have lobster mac'n cheese. If you go for this, here is the most important thing to remember: Dig at the bottom! Most of the lobster and cheese and fat drops to the bottom of their dish. Scoop from the bottom if you want lots of lobster and flavor. If you are a health nut, stick to the top half. You will get little lobster/fat/flavor. Third, the crab enchiladas are fantastic. A bit much bread for me but I usually take 3-4 because they are worth the calories and the stomach space. Fourth: Bacon. Sometimes on a buffet the bacon can get cold and soggy. Not here. Every time I have eaten here the bacon is crisp (rare for a buffet) and delicious. I usually take about 2-3 plates of it back to my table and ask the waitress for a bunch of maple syrup to drench it in. Then it's crunch time! If you haven't tried this, I strongly suggest it. Lastly, you can get made to order Belgian waffles. I don't eat these but my girlfriend usually has 5-6 of them. I think it is a waste of stomach space but she seems to like them. They are warm and crispy and there are many toppings. Other things to note: Steer clear of the sausage though. It is a bit rubbery and definitely can be found better elsewhere. The beef they serve is usually cold by the time you get it back to your table and I haven't found a way to keep it warm on my way back. Also, it is pretty tough and th flavor is not all tat great. Don't waste stomach space on it. The desserts are great. They are served small, bite sized and you can grab as many as you want. They don't taste like the artificial flavored ones that you find at most cheaper buffets. The tiny Key Lime pies are amazing and I usually find myself eating several platefuls of them. Additionally, there is the more "normal" fare, but of higher quality. Various veggies, which I avoid, fancy little cheeses, eggs, fruits, oysters, shrimp, etc. All of which are well made and fresh. Overall: It is a great blend of quantity and quality. Men will like it because it is all you can eat and the bacon is fantastic. Women like it because it is fancy and things can be served on tiny plates. Great place to spend a Sunday morning.

One of the best Brunches I have ever had! I tasted everything they had to offer. The Brunch buffet was a steal for the amount and variety of food they provided. I will definitely venture to Milwaukee to eat here again! Absolutely fabulous!

The first time I went I wasn't all that impressed. The menu is kind of a quirky assortment but it is at least substantial. The second time I went I think i may have been lucky enough to have one of the best waitresses a man could run into. Fabulous stuff. It made for quite the entertaining evening.

I am chain-averse, you could say. I do, however, want to give a restaurant a chance to make a first impression. I did want to like Devon, especially after seeing their fabulous patio. Tres chic! Devon exudes class. The dark wood. The candles. The sleek lines. Interior design aside, the food is what makes a restaurant successful. This particular evening, my fellow diner and I focused our sights on the 2-course menu, choosing a starter and an entree. We chose different items to sample from each other's plates. To start, we had the gumbo and the green salad with pine nuts, dried cranberries, feta, and vinagrette. I ordered the salad without feta, and I still found it to be the right combination of sweet, tangy, and crunchy. The gumbo was "good," but merely tasted of seafood, minus the presence of actual shrimp or sausage. The cup was small, so it would be difficult to fit the traditional ingredients, unless they were finely chopped. Our entrees followed the clearing of our started plates. Our server, Adrianna, timed her appearances well, but she could not save what was to come next. The main dishes deflated my prior hopes for edible class. I ordered the rainbow trout--mesquite grilled--with sides of grilled asparagus and apple-celeriac slaw. My fellow diner went with the mesquite grilled chicken with grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes. 90% of each plate was coated with the spillover of melted butter. The "grilled" rainbow trout and the "grilled" asparagus somehow was drenched in liquid fat. I went with Devon for its focus on seafood and the healthier options that go hand in hand (in most cases), and I found myself devouring some major calories. My asparagus was limp and overcooked, losing its bright color and flavor. My trout tasted like butter and little else. I was hoping for some of the mesquite flavoring and a bit of a char from the grill. I was really disappointed. I took a bite of the chicken, and it had a slight charring on the skin. The meat was moist, so there was a better final product delivered with the poultry. The slaw did shine as well. The sweetness from the apple slices with the crisp, fresh bite from the celeriac and a splash of vinegar created a balanced forkful. I have seen stellar reviews come from my fellow Yelpers--one who's opinion I trust very much--so I will chock it up to an off night. I will return for a second impression and will hopefully have the material for an upgraded review.

One of our favorites, respite for a weary shopper! My favorite seafood restaurant, celebrating my raise! They have a great selection and we are regulars - about eight times a year. We have never had a disappointing meal. The decor is great, the service excellent and the food quality very high.

I really, really like this place. Not a fan of chain restaurants overall, but this one is big exception. First there is the ambience -- Milwaukee restaurants take note what good design and good maintenance looks like. This place even looks good in the daylight; not so with many famous places in MKE. The service ranges from good to exceptional. Shon is a favorite; what a great server interested in the food, the experience, and you. The food is also excellent. The appetizers like lobster tamales are really good, also like the lobster cobb salad. While not a red meat fan, I do eat chicken and like the preparations at Devon. Some neighbors go to Devon with us every December 24 and we all love it. Why not a 5th star? Bayshore Town Center does not do a good job of policing the parking nor handicap access. This means I must regularly wrangle with Devon valet parking. Nice enough young guys, but generally overwhelmed by the Escalade jerks who insist on leaving their cars parked in front, blocking access for people with disabilities.

This is my go to place for a week night drink and dinner. The bar is comfortable, happy hour allows me to have a drink or two without breaking the budget, and there is always something delicious for dinner, no matter what I feel like having. Sometimes I just need a light dinner, sometimes I want comfort food....you know what I mean,...the menu has great variety and I am always satisfied.

Devon Seafood and Steak is a relatively small chain restaurant. Good seafood choices, but I found the steak selection to be somewhat lacking. The décor is clean and modern, but not minimalistic. I have been here a few times for lunch, and the services were decent in general. The fish entrees are worthy of three yelp stars. Two of my favorite items are the lobster mac and cheese, and the biscuit. The lobster mac and cheese is pretty darn good, but I think it could be better with more lobsters. The biscuit is not the inedible rock like other places. It is everything a biscuit should be. I came in for the Sunday brunch buffet recently. It was not bad for the price, but I probably won't come back for second. I think the quality was a step down from the regular menu. The desserts were not very impressive.

Wow after a great biscuit to start the meal, it was all downhill from there. My wife had to send back her lobster bisque as it tasted too metallic. The Caesar salad was was fine but the huge bone in rib eye tasted like it was cooked at Outback Steakhouse. No flavor no zest. Just a horrible piece of meat. Usually I would send a steak this bad back, but they did me a favor and got me a rib eye from the dinner menu for lunch. I ate half of it and learned my lesson. Update: The waitress pissed me off over a $10.00 discount, so after talking to the manager they took off the steak from my bill. I don't know why I should ever feel guilty about getting a crappy piece of steak for $35 or so? Management called me the other day about my experience, but I didn't get back to them. I'd rather just go elsewhere.

I am a fan of this place. Every time we've been here, we've had great service and great food. Our last experience was especially great. Our server, Shawn (sorry... spelling... she's a girl)... :) was AWESOME. The best. She is detail oriented and very attentive. Thoughtful as well. We both had the filet. I had scallops (Great), and my husband had the salmon. The sides we chose were the lobster mac & cheese (whoa)! and I had the lemon-asparagus risotto and he had the mashed potatoes. We were both so happy with our meals. We ended up with a glass of wine that Shawn suggested, along with the chocolate lava cake. It was amazing. The only thing that I have to say that was negative was that this restaurant is at a mall... and there were people shopping and walking around. We were sitting outside and at one point, a couple stopped to yell over our table to some of their friends who were eating. That was a little uncomfortable. If Devon's was NOT at the mall, it would be killer.

Wine list is great! They are thinking outside the "California only" box, and expanding to some cool offerings. Try the Oveja Negra (85% SB, 15% Carmenere WHITE blend)...one of the cooler wines I've had in awhile. Had the Scallops...delicious! and the lobster mac was pretty tasty, as well.

my second visit check pics for all of the plates below service -- 7/10 ambiance 9/10 nice it is live at the same time quiet and romantic food look below i have ordered: 1/2 LB. COLD WATER LOBSTER TAIL -- 34 $ but very tasty - you can feel the lobster so smooth ad easy - totally worth it - check the pic - but the pic will not speak of how good it was my only critic is you dont add mashed potato on a 34 $ plate they need to choose another side TUNA TARTARE* pickled cucumbers -- $11.55 it is good tasty not sure if i will re-order because of price but it is good SEARED WHITEFISH -- dont order not good 18$ seared fish, i thought it was fried it is worth to go to the restaurant overall i am pleased but we eneded up paying 80$ for the 3 plates (with no drinks) i could have gave a 4 star if the lobster did not have these sides (the sides were poor) and whitefish not so god this is why i choose 3 star

A Happy hour worth a try: Devons in the Bayshore Mall M-F 4-7. Great prices on aps, oysters $1 a piece, as well as some great drink and wine prices. Some favorites: VIETNAMESE CRAB SPRING ROLLS, AHI TUNA SUSHI ROLLS, JUMBO LUMP CRAB CAKES and for a real treat try the Lobster Mac & cheese. Plus some of the best carrott cake around.

Devon used to be my favorite restaurant at Bayshore, but their quality has been slipping lately. The biscuits their meals start with used to be fresh and delicious. Both times i've gone recently have been hard, stale tasting and our waitress didn't feel the need to bring them to us the second time. A different passing waiter noticed our biscuitless meal and brought some to us. My meals have been ok. Nothing fantastic, but nothing downright terrible either. The fish is always fresh, but the preparation has gone down hill in quality and flavor. Freshness is obviously important, but seasoning and preparation are essential to the flavor of the meal. Maybe I need to switch up what I order, but it pains me to say I'll be heading to Bravo more often. BUT if I haven't deterred you at all, check out their e-mail specials. They often have discounts and deals on their meals if you sign up. Their lunch also offers a nice way to sample their menu.

Took my wife out on a date and selected Devon's Seafood Grill because we were in the Bayshore Mall area and this was the highest rated nice restaurants in that area on Yelp. And we were pleased with our experience. When we were seated a hostess brought hot biscuits with maple butter (OMG - fantastic) which we devoured will we conversed about what to order. I debated between the Chef's Tasting Menu with wine pairings or an entree' and ultimately settled on the Atlantic Salmon with risotto and grilled asparagus while my wife ordered a ribeye with Yukon gold potatoes and grilled asparagus. I also ordered a glass of a favorite Oregon wine (absolutely fantastic). Salmon was grilled to perfection and was moist with a hint of mesquite but was from the tail section of the salmon, not a better mid-fillet, asparagus excellent, but risotto a bit overdone. Wife's ribeye was grilled to perfection, flavorful but a bit tough, asparagus excellent (I ate them) and Yukon gold mashed potatoes good. Desert was massive piece of carrot cake that we shared - probably one of the best I have ever had. Wonderfully attentive waitress Alisha kept out water glasses full and appeared at just the right moments. She informed us that the patio with outdoor seating will be opening soon and during the summer outside they have live bands and a weekly movie night. Am going to schedule that this summer. Wine list is of an average size but the wines they have are the best of the best - some absolutely superb wines; many names I have had before. The only area that I would rate Devon's slightly down was on the cut of the meat/seafood (see above). Would probably rate Devon's a 4.7 out of 5 stars and would go back. Their website is very useful with the menu's posted as well as happenings and online reservations. devonseafood.com

Pretty damn good for a chain. Have never had a bad meal here, or been disappointed. Started with the smoked salmon on sour dough toast. Very good with a nice blend of fish, caper and onion taste on the oiled bread. Crispy. Next came the Six ounce fillet and lobster tail accompanied by sauteed spinach and a big side of the mac-lobster-and cheese. The fillet was moist, and the right temperature. the lobster tail was B I G and a little rubbery but had a great flavor. The spinach was flavorful and garlicky. But, I have to tell ya, the mac and cheese was about the best I have ever had. the lobster in it sent my taste buds on the ride of their life! Whatever you do order this! Capped it off with carrot cake. Yummy. This is a very good seafood restaurant. The drinks are good and generous. I enjoy coming here even if it is in a trendy, upscale shopping town-center thingy.

I took some customers here for dinner, overall the food and ambience is very good, although I would not spend the $3 for the lobster mac n cheese. It came in a one cup measuring cup so the portion size was acceptable but the amount of lobster is so miniscule and the pieces so tiny you can barely taste it.

For a chain restaurant associated with a shopping mall, Devon succeeds as being a very solid fine dining experience. The atmosphere is trendy and modern although it tends to be quite loud during peak hours. The bar could certainly turn the television volume down and a different soundtrack in the dining room could help here, although it looks as though management intends a high-energy, slightly club-ish feel to attract young professionals with disposable income who aren't quite ready to abandon their college dining modus operandi for something more subdued. For a get-to-know-you date or business dinner, I would look elsewhere. The quality of service ranges wildly from perfunctory to warm and friendly. Meals are well-paced although attention to small requests (ie. more water, extra butter, etc) can sometimes get lost in the chaos of the dining room and kitchen. Considering that this is a seafood restaurant located in the Midwest, the food is very good. Crabcakes are excellent, allowing the taste and texture (thank you!) to be fully appreciated instead of squinted at through mounds of needlessly flavored mayonnaise. The whitefish has a lovely golden brown sear, although it would have benefited from a bit more salt and pepper before cooking. The surf and turf is nicely prepared, if slightly shy of a true "medium" turf-side. Deserts at Devon lack slightly, but if I was concerned about desert, I probably wouldn't be choosing to dine in a seafood restaurant. The crème brûlée was not well crusted and the custard itself had an odd texture that made me wonder how long ago it had been made. Certainly a worthwhile venture, especially for the landlocked seafood lover.

My wife and I don't like Devon Seafood Grill "We Love It"! We've been there about 4 or so times in the last year and a half. Each and every time we've been impressed both with the quality of the food and the service. At a glance Devon appears to be a very nice sit down restaurant only catering to the trendy fat-cat seafood crowd, but it is very much a casual and inviting place. Their relaxed and courteous attitude was great especially after my 1yr old son cut a swath of "baby destruction" through their dinning room, piling up discarded bits of bread, crackers and other food around our table. Their reply was don't worry about it, "these things happen", more importantly they meant it... We stopped back recently on a Sunday and we were surprised to find the best brunch we've ever had. For great food in a friendly and inviting atmosphere give it a shot.
