Average food and service is poor. Servers are great at incompetence. Not the cleanest, but if you just want a standard bar menu it's OK enough.

Okay, it's been a while since I wrote my review...time for an update.... Local bar, some local brews, and awesome food? The Night Owl still has it! I ate here recently, a number of times, actually, while cutting firewood during cold and snowy winter days...stopping here for a hot lunch to warm up was PERFECT! Service is quick (at the bar, take note, when it's busy, service can be a little slow in the dining area) and the food is hot and fresh.... Carnivore? You have to try the steak sandwich and the black&blue burger...both are INCREDIBLE!

We arrived and waited 10 minutes for a table and once we sat down, waited one hour for our food. Our party ordered two full meals: a hamburger with fries and the friday night seafood special. We just left the restaurant and our food is in to go boxes in the backseat. It does smell good, which is why we gave one star. Our waitress was apologetic but the kitchen was overwhelmed. The waitress encouraged us to come back when they weren't busy.

Good service and lunch specials. Stopped in for lunch on our way to New Glarus and got a good burger and beer cheddar soup. Stop by if you're in the area.

I love small places that really care, and this is one of them. The food is delicious, and the staff is genuinely nice. It's always a good experience when I've eaten there. Even when I wear my Detroit Lions jersey, they don't treat me badly. LOL! A must try when driving through Evansville.

Spacious and comfortable atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and fast. We live in Evansville and frequent this restaurant when we need fast, good food at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Night Owl to anyone who wants good food and drink.

Absolutely adore this place for a number of reasons... 1. The town that The Nigh Owl is nestled in reminds me so much of home, and not going to lie, missing my little country town back in Michigan a bit. So it was very comforting driving down the Brick lined road, the small shops on each side of the street of the downtown/historic part of Evensville. 2. The Nigh Owl itself reminds me so much of the sports bars back at home as well. Country music playing overhead, pool tables, football on all the screens, and friendly staff. 3. Lastly the food, oh my goodness is it so fantastic. I've been craving a Blue Cheese burger for awhile, so I was very happy to see "The Blue Devil Burger" on the menu. Their version on a blue cheese burger was great! The blue cheese as well as the pepper jack cheese was all melted, with nice and spicy jalapenos topping it off. I would advise if you get this burger or any burgers on the menu really, make sure you have lots and lots of napkins! I ordered the regular french fries with it, as they were out of the beer battered fries which I heard were the best thing on the menu. We also started our late lunch off with the loaded nachos that were topped with melted cheese, sour cream, black olives, ground beef, and jalapenos. To die for! I'll definitely be back here, not just for the food, but to experience the small town of Evensville. We were here on a Sunday so most shops were closed, but I can only imagine how adorable this town is in the winter, and walking up and down downtown doing a little shopping.

Far, far away there is a restaurant nestled on a cute little street. Inside you are seated, and, if lucky, you will have a great of a waitress as Jessica serve you. If not, don't fear. The food is worth it. It just so happens that this hidden gem has the best burger I've ever had. Anywhere. Ever. And it's only 5.95. The fried fish was fantastic as well. Great service. Great food. Come here and your stomach and wallet will thank you.

Decent food. Maybe the beat choice in town for a good sit down meal. Is a bar, so it's bar food. They do daily specials. I hear the Friday night fish fry is good. My wife loves the prime rib sandwich. Good rueben. Great taco salad

Great food just have to wait for it... Owners a good dude, stops and with customers. Friday fish fry is a really long wait but good. Get there early and you'll be fine

We've had weekday lunch here 3 or 4 times. Enjoyed the food, service was just okay. Took the family, 9 of us, for fish fry on a Friday evening. Forget it. Incredibly slow service, from getting a drink to placing a food order and then over an hour wait for what could only be described as mediocre food, and that would be a generous description. One star for the good hamburger at lunch.
