Wonderful place to stay! I can't emphasize enough what great qualities this resort possesses, seemingly effortlessly (though I'm sure that in practice, that is NOT the case), like how friendly the staff are, how beautiful the decoration of the villas is and how immaculately clean my villa is! The gorgeous, fancy whirlpool tub is divine and the walk-in shower is top notch! The bed is huge and comfy and the fireplace, stove, and private patio are divine. Add to that, the lovely sunsets and the sound of the waves against the shore beneath the bluffs of the Niagara escarpment right outside my door/windows combine to make this one of the best places I've ever stayed, and not just in Door County. The attention to detail here is second to none. The gorgeous pool and garden area are just icing! ***Update*** Since I've been here, I've had to call the front desk about a couple of minor issues (leaving my key in my room, not knowing how to properly operate a window without causing damage to property, etc.). Each time I've called, they've been helpful and kind. The cleaning staff does a very good job and the home cooked breakfasts, which can be ordered in-room if you're not up to eating in the main gathering area, are delicious! I will definitely be coming back here as long as I don't have a large party or my animals traveling up with me (the villas are all one bedroom, one bathroom) next time I come up either for work or play! If you are a finicky hotel guest, a white glove/princess and the pea type as I am, take this review to heart and make Bay Point Inn your next Door County destination for lodging. You won't regret it! The views are totally unimpeded and the casual sense of everything just sort of falling into place and coming together is in itself indicative of a high level of attention to detail and love for this place (Door County is an easy place to love) and the resort itself. Door County has all of those things-a casual, naturally flowing sense of style and class without seeming to have to try too hard and without coming across as pretentious. This can all be said for Bay Point Inn as well.

We went here 3x in one week because it was the perfect lunch. Saying that, the most memorable thing we bought was the brioche cinnamon roll, not too sweet and the perfect amount of cinnamon. Don't miss the chicken salad with cherries or the egg salad. The bread is superb and they have a dark sunflower bread which is the best moistest dark bread I've ever had, and goes very well with the chicken or egg salads! Then there is the staff, incredibly pleasant and accommodating. Would like to see Izze drinks here !
So many of our favorite places in Door County have closed, it is nice to discover a new great place for lunch!
We stopped by before closing and the hospitality was amazing. We were able to try all of the tasty breads and came home with a whole car load! Highly suggest stopping and giving it a try!

Reviews:
I went to the Harbor View Grill as my last restaurant stop during a trip to Door County for Memorial Day weekend 2014. I was flip flopping between three and four stars. I went with three because the experience, while adequate, didn't wow me. I also thought it was a bit pricy. My husband got coffee, which he told me was excellent. We appreciated that they brewed a fresh pot for us when we walked in, as it was early afternoon and if they had anything left over from morning, it was likely stale by then. I had a gorgonzola-topped burger and my husband had a breakfast burger served with a fried egg on top. I had sweet potato fries, and he had regular fries. Not much else to say. Like I said, it was a satisfactory experience, but not unlike hundreds of other burger-eating experiences I've already had elsewhere. Plus, my fries were a little bit soggy and slightly cool, which is never good. The service was quick and the place was bright and clean. It was just a touch too generic for me to fall in love with it. Also, most of the burgers with fries are in the $11-$13 range, so lunch for two with tip (without drinks) could run about $30. Seems kind of high for such a casual place.
Love this place!! We hadn't been here yet, with the current owners, and we were really impressed. We stopped in for lunch and sat at a booth with a beautiful harbor view. I always think it would be ideal if this location had an outdoor deck, but the view was still awesome and the AC was nice too! Our group had the Pork Loin Sandwich, Bacon Cheeseburger and the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. All were served on really nice rolls and everyone was happy with their choices. Interesting beer choices added to the experience. They only serve beer and wine, so don't expect to order a cocktail. Our waitress was fantastic. Efficient, friendly and just really good at her job. I highly recommend you try this place out!! I would defiantly recommend this place!
We went here this past weekend and everything, I mean everything was delectable! We had the white fish cakes (WOW were they great!) and the rib eye with gorgonzola butter (Amazing flavor and done just right). The wait staff was responsive and the atmosphere is lovely, love the colors and the view of the harbor at sunset. Fabulous dining experience.

The food is worth the price. They don't kid around here. When you order a three-cheese-stuffed french toast, hold on, baby. You are going to melt! The first time that I went, I ordered the breakfast wrap. Yum. My s/o had the stuffed french toast. Let me tell you- that made for absolutely fantastic leftovers, even eaten cold! The owner (I forget his name, ) constantly moves about, entertaining and engaging his guests. The walls are filled with kitchy stuff that's pretty much all for sale. The place fills up early, so the sooner the better. The next time I'm visiting the Door, I'm making a trip here for breakfast again. Oh yeah- coffee's okay too. So's the cherry jam. Yum!
Big menu, including eggs, pancakes, french toast, and omelettes. I had biscuits (which were cold), sausage, and the cafe breakfast potatoes, which were so crusted with spices that it was almost painful to eat them...and I like spicy things! I had to scrape some of it off to enjoy. The order of potatoes was so big that I shared with my family, who ordered egg combos and were pleased with their choices. This place is also tchotchke heaven. It's like your nutty aunt 's house (the one who likes signs that say things like "You don't have to be crazy to work here but it helps" and pillows with "This house ruled by one spoiled cat") times a thousand. Definitely something for everyone on the menu; next time I'd choose something aside from the biscuits and potatoes.
One dines at the Village Cafe mostly for the eclectic atmosphere and the location. There are not that many choices for a casual breakfast or lunch in this stretch of Door County. As a result, I find the food to be no better than average and the service to be less so. There was nothing wrong with any of my visits but on the other hand, nothing remarkable about my experiences stood out. I will stop here for a meal when I am in the neighborhood, but more often than not will choose to drive further up or down the road.

Great place for families, world class location. Rooms need upgrades but if you're spending a lot of time in the room you're doing Door County wrong
My fiancé and I were just here for the Memorial Day weekend. This place is definitely unique. We had a really enjoyable time and the inn staff were friendly and accommodating. Our room could have used an upgrade, it was almost too old-fashioned looking to be considered "charming". However it was clean and the bed was comfy. Luckily the bathroom appeared to have been recently upgraded so that was nice. There is a huge deck attached to the lobby that opens up to the most beautiful views of the lake, but it would have been more enjoyable if the paint wasn't chipping and I was wishing they had some big rocking chairs to sit on. We had breakfast at the Hof restaurant at the inn and it was delicious. Overall, it was a decent place for an affordable weekend getaway!
What decade is it? This place needs an interior decorator really bad. One room has a flat screen T.V. and another with12" from 1970. No air conditioning except in your room. Overpriced food with small portions. I have to admit it does have a cool location. Right on the lake next to a public beach. I was here for a wedding and stayed two nights. I have a large family and we are Irish. So, imagine what the bar was like the first night. They thought we were to rowdy so they purposely closed the bar early the next night so we wouldn't stop in again and stay all night. What? Who doesn't want to make some money at their bar. We didn't disturb anybody. This place is a little confusing to me and needs a makeover really bad. $325 for two nights in a place that looks like "nobody puts baby in a corner" needs to rethink about pricing and service as well as decorating. I don't think I'll be back.

My review is about the beer and the Inn. This place is located in the heart of Egg Harbor. It has your typically bar food menu and has a large patio for outdoor seating. It's within walking distance of several shops and restaurants. Across the street is the Chocolate Chicken (fudge, ice cream, coffee) and a block from Moja Rosas (burgers, Mexican, pizza) which had a good selection of beers and seemed to be the late night hangout spot. We didn't eat here, but we did sample the beer. As others have mentioned, the beer was okay. Nothing really stood out as exemplary. Samples did arrive in plastic cups but that didn't bother us. As for the Inn, there are 8 rooms to choose from of varying sizes. We stayed one night in Room #4 which had a queen size bed and was nicely furnished. It was air conditioned and had a hair dryer in the bathroom. No coffee maker or fridge. Noise from the street wasn't an issue for sleeping here despite the place being along the main drag. Noise from patrons downstairs could be heard so if you are a light sleeper you might want to look elsewhere or have earplugs handy. Nice accommodations for $89 a night (peak season). Solid 3 star rating for the Inn.
I've been coming to Shipwrecked once or twice per year for about 4 years during trips to Door County. I never thought the food was that great, but I always liked the beer... until this last time. I ordered the summer seasonal brew and knew right away that something was off. Either the glass was dirty or the tap lines were. It was completely flat and had that distinct "bad tap line" funky taste to it. I called the college-aged waitress over and told her to tell the bartender about the problem, and that I'd try the cherry wheat instead. When she came back 15 minutes later with my beer, I asked why it took so long. She told me that the bartender had a lot of drink orders ahead of mine. When I mentioned that my "order" probably should have jumped to the head of the line since 1) it was a simple tapper and 2) it was a make-good for a bad drink, she just stared blankly and repeated that there were a lot of orders ahead if mine. Our food arrived and things got worse. While it's never been great food at Shipwrecked, it's always at least been solidly OK. This time my daughter's order of the curry chicken salad wrap was absolutely disgusting. It was sort of like a weird, vaguely curry-flavored mashed chicken paste. My "Kraken" burger seemed ok. It had a lot of stuff smothered over the top. But eventually I realized that I couldn't taste the burger itself. Upon searching for it, I discovered a small over cooked beefish looking disc underneath everything, which sort of grossed me out. The final straw came when the vacant waitress brought my bill out, and the beer I had sent back was still on there! Even worse, she seemed miffed when I asked her to remove it, telling me she'd have to talk to the bartender about that. All in all, it was an absolutely terrible experience.
Great hamburgers wish they would have a senior day. Kind of pricey for us folks. Great food and staff

Great food and great service. Had the bistro breakfast sandwich and was not disappointed. The nice thing about this sandwich was that it had a tomato on it. Also had he hash browns which were delicious, especially with white cheese on it. We will be back!
A couple of years back, while on a weekend trip to Door County, my husband and I stopped in here for breakfast. Having had a great experience, we decided to come back again on our most recent trip. Sadly, things did not go as well this time around. Things seemed to start out on a good note. We didn't have to wait as long to be seated as we did on our last visit. Our server was nice enough. And the food itself was delicious. As our visit progressed, the restaurant got a bit busier. That's when the service started to slip. My husband's breakfast was supposed to include unlimited hashbrowns. After receiving our food and drinks, our server never came back to check on us or ask if we wanted anything else. My husband wanted to order some more hashbrowns. We finally flagged down someone and asked for another order. He said that he would put it in. Right after that, the server came over, dropped off our bill, and walked away. At that point, we gave up, paid the bill, and left. We had other places that we wanted to go to before we left to head back to Milwaukee. I sure hope that this experience is not the norm. As I stated earlier, the food (and also the mimosas) are delicious. Perhaps they need to look at hiring more people, especially for the busier times of year.
Just left after sitting with NO service. Not busy either:( Others came in and got menus and drinks. Table was dirty with the previous meal. Waitress had told has to choose a table, we obviously chose wrongly!

Mojo Rosa’s

Reviews:
I agree with the previous reviewer - this place as some definite food identity issues. It seems like they were trying to keep some of the menu items from the Olde Stage Station and mix it with Mexican - it does not really work. The group I was with all went the Mexican route. My husband and I thought it was just ok, however, there were others in our group who really enjoyed their food. We did enjoy the salsa on the table and I was told the mole was quite good. I would encourage the management to figure out the menu (personally I would like to see go back to the Olde Stage Station fare) and maybe drop the prices a bit. It was pricy (typically entrée was $15) for just so-so Mexican.
Granted, this was during the off season, and I believe Mojo Rosa's is a relatively new venture by the owners of the now-closed Olde Stage Station, but the menu contained possibly one of the most random collections of food I've ever seen. They call it a Mexican place because the walls are painted yellow, there is a sombrero on the wall, and the Mexican music playing (although it's drowned out by the sound of the TVs in the bar), but there is nothing close to authentic about the place. It would be okay if the food was good, but we were not impressed. We had nachos and a salad - both were mediocre at best. The fancy sign and phrase "authentic Mexican" led us in, but the food was just disappointing. They need to fix their cuisine identity issue. They have Mexican, pizza, pasta, pot roast, fried chicken - essentially anything you can imagine, but it's a bit strange. Maybe there are just a lot of regular customers they didn't want to disappoint.
Watched a packer game here. Great vibe, great people and good drink prices. Great place to catch a game and a drink.

Went to watch Badger game and get dinner at a 'bar'. We were told we couldnt eat dinner at the bar, only apps. There were about 6-7 apps options, that's it. Bartender told us there was a separate viewing area for the game if we wanted dinner. We were paying customers and should have been able to eat dinner where we wanted to eat. I could understand this'policy' if the bar or restaurant were full, but there were only a few others. We liked our good seats at the bar. Great bloodie, but the food? Wouldnt know, we left to eat where we could watch game and enjoy our meals. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL building, probably wouldn't go for a meal but maybe a drink. We were turned off by the 'rules'... they seemed desperste for customes as parking lot was empty all day.... on a holiday weekend. Assuming others had similar experience. They need to cater more to payimg customers, we would have spent a decent amount there, but they wouldn't allow us to.
Wow! What a difference a couple years make. My wife and I couldn't wait to try this place again, but were underwhelmed during our visit this last weekend. This time, we stopped for lunch, instead of dinner like last year. Like several of the other reviews, service was really slow. Our eventual waiter took care of the table next to us at least 4 times before finally acknowledging our existence. I ordered the Sliced Prime Rib sandwich. The waiter said: "Sorry, we're all out of that because the meat spoiled". Seriously?!? He's telling a customer the meat spoiled? Had he simply told me they were just out, my conclusion would have been that the sandwich was so awesome they couldn't maintain enough inventory. He suggested the next closest item, which was the Philly Steak Sandwich, which I decided to go with. The description sounded good. When it came out, I literally had to lift the top of the hoagie-style bun to see if there was anything inside. I expect all the stuff to be falling out of a Philly sandwich, so this was disappointing. The flavor was fine, but was mainly cheese and peppers with very light on the steak. The homemade potato chips were really great, but shouldn't have been the star of the show. My wife ordered the Bandito Burger, which sounded awesome. It may have been the power of suggestion coming from the "spoiled meat" comment earlier, but 1 bite into her burger, my wife asked me "does this smell right to you?". There was definitely something different about the aroma, but I concluded it was the unique seasoning. She ate it all and didn't get sick later, so I think her senses were tainted by the waiter's earlier comment. Needless to say, it's probably going to take a lot of 4 and 5-star reviews to bring us back for another try. I hope this was an isolated case of "meh", because we both just love the atmosphere of the place. Note to Management... you need to step up the wait staff training!
I was wondering about all the mixed reviews. We were invited to join another couple for brunch buffet Sundy. Keeping in mind the other reviews here is my experience. We were greeted at the door and asked to wait as the hostess was dealing other customers. The decor was that of a north woods log cabin, hence the name. We were seated 5 minutes before seeing our waitress. The place was about 25% full. While waiting I observed the place for cleanliness. Very clean as well as the glasses and plates. We ordered beverages and the buffet. We went up to the buffet table. The salad was nearly empty but had a good selectipnd of add ins. The bacon and sausage were cold the eggs hard and rubbery. The pork roast, mashed potatoes and gravy were hot, but a little on the salty side. The steamed vegetables were over steamed and limp. The deep fried shrimp was good but barely warm. They had a smoked salmon which was really good, but I wish they would have had it on ice to keep it from going bad. We were half way through out first plate before our drinks arrived. The desert bar was really lame. Only chocolate cake and cherry crisp. I understand now the mixed reviews as there are good and bad qualities to this place. I rate it ok, but much room for improvement.
