My fiance and I met with Skyline about a year ago to book them for our wedding this June. We were first offered an in-person meeting with the owner, Ernie, to discuss our needs and wishes. The meeting was very professional, yet casual; it took place at their office and deli. A few weeks later we went back for our tasting. When we arrived, the dining area was set for us with linens and tableware. We were welcomed and offered drinks immediately. Unlike other caterers, Skyline does not double book tastings, so we were lucky in being truly catered to. In addition, we were afforded the privacy of an honest dinner. Many other caterers will sit with you and watch you chew. This was not the case at Skyline, however, wait staff (and Ernie) were available on-demand for any questions we had. Between courses, Ernie offered detailed descriptions of each food being presented. After the tasting we sat with Ernie and discussed our likes, dislikes and suggestions. He offered great advice and even assured us that he would be at the event himself to oversee the entire service. This was a commitment we appreciated. The month before the wedding, Ernie and his lead staff, John, met with us at the venue for the final meeting. Skyline was accommodating in being flexible with minor changes and was even able to acquire last minute service needs (extra tables, flatware, etc). On the day of the wedding, service and food was phenomenal! We had passed appetizers during cocktail hour which our guests raved about. We served a 'family-style' dinner which other caterers we met with called 'tricky.' Skyline pulled it off smashingly. In lieu of a cake, we wanted to serve pies to each table. Skyline's bakery came through with fantastic pies and was the perfect end to dinner. All things said, it was great. We would definitely recommend Skyline for any catering events (especially weddings)!
My go to place for lunch and dinner options. Value Priced Great Tasting Quality Food.
I have been in the South Milwaukee area for the last two years for work, and happened to find this gem. I have eaten both from the retail deli as well as from Skyline having catered over a dozen events for my organization within the past two years. Each meal is just as delicious as the next. If you have a chance to stop by and grab a lunch, or convince your boss to let them cater just one meal... you won't be disappointed. The staff that work there are always friendly, and the owner is more than willing to sit and talk to you with any questions you have about food or even beer pairings!

Awesome bar great owner food was good and music was awsome. Great place. Definitely a place to go see for yourself.
Bartender Tina was so pleasant and made a delicious "metal mayhem". Server Jesse also very nice. Great broccoli cheese bites and Caesar salad. Everything is priced well. They also sell cigarettes if you want to pay the extra 2 dollars for convenience sake. Which I was happy to. They have a nice beer garden you can take your drink out to. Have been here for live music in the past and overall just really enjoy chilling there. I recommend
Cool place , cheap beers and metal, what else could you ask for?!? Oh yea the wait staff is awesome and the new girl is hott! Menu looks tasty too.

We love this place!!! The make several soups everyday: Chicken veggie w/ pasta, rice, and/or fresh basil dumplings - Potato soup / Chili / and Jambalaya... Then they have 2 specialty soups everyday, plus DELISH sandwiches!!! The owner makes the soups fresh everyday, and they are soooo AMAZING! $4 for a cup $5 for a bowl and $10 for a quart plus you get bread with it! We love this place, the only down side is that hours are short like 10-2 M-F and sometimes closes early...
Super Yummy!!! I love coming here for lunch (granted they are only open for lunch) but there is always a great selection of soups and tasty sandwiches :) I had there Jambalaya and will be coming back for it for sure. If you are lucky you will catch a Friday when they are serving the Crawfish Bisque. I was super excited to hear they will be opening a Kenosha local pretty soon...even closer for me :)
Tiny but terrific place for delicious soups and tasty sandwiches. Trying to introduce all my friends to it, so this hospitality demands that I accompany each and everyone one of them, right? Right! Glad to see that they're planning to open a few more locations.

Joe’s K Ranch

Reviews:
There are three reasons to go to K Ranch. The prime rib, the prime rib and the prime rib. (Yes it's that good.) Went on a Saturday night and admittedly was a bit worried because of the online reviews, but the place has the feel of a supper club that you'd find up north. So if you want a romantic date night, I'd suggest elsewhere, but if you're not picky about decor then you will be in for a treat. My waitress Liz, was excellent and attentive despite the place being pretty packed. The soup was so-so, and the salad was just an average salad. But the prime rib more than makes up for that. It's very, very well priced and the portion was extremely generous. I've had prime rib many times at many different places across the country and this definitely ranks up there in my top 3. I'm excited to come back and to bring along the extended family!
I hadn't been to the K Ranch in quite some time so when my SIL suggested I was just eh about it. Last time it was just a small-ish bar that served food; you ate at the bar If I remember correctly. We drove up and the lot was PACKED. Had to wait 20 minutes for a table...come to find out they had a funeral party in the back room. Back room? Whaa? We sat at the bar and I looked around...they had expanded! They have a little dining room and a very large (from what I could see) back room full of tables. Got our table, drinks and they brought out a bread basket. OMG! There were these toast looking, crispy, buttery slices in there. I won't lie....I had 2. Rumor is....the folks from KRanch partnered with the people from the now closed South Woods. Well, South Woods was awesome so I was pretty stoked about dinner now. They have a Friday night menu (I think she said it was limited) with a fish fry and sandwiches, etc. Full menu other nights include (Saturday) Prime Rib, home made pizza (which I heard are AMAZING). My SIL suggested the French Onion Soup & a spicy chicken, bacon, avocado, wrap with onion strings (and they give you a ton!) . I was hoping the soup was the same as SW because it was my favorite in the city. It didn't disappoint--best I've had out in a loooong time. The wrap was delicious too, shell toasted a little. Bacon was meaty and done...comparable bacon to the Original Pancake house...perfect. Typical Cudahy crowd. The remodel looks really nice. Glass top tables with a candle, linen napkins, attentive bus boy with water...not your typical dive bar anymore. Congrats Joe's KRanch!! I'll definitely be back.
Wow - this place is something else. You never know what kind of crowd it will be. They have volleyball and horseshoe courts here, so there are a lot of teams in summer. Or, it can feel like you might get randomly stabbed. It's 100% Cudahy though, so you know there are going to be good domestic beer specials and random meat products for sale behind the bar.

This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant. We drive 40 minutes to get here and it's worth it every time! The chips and salsa are great...the salsa has a nice kick to it but if it's not spicy enough for you, try the habanero salsa....SO GOOD!!!! All of their margaritas are served on the rocks and they are strong! Happy hour they are served in a pint glass for $4!!! I usually get one of the flavored margaritas and mix it with half a regular margarita to cut a little of the sweetness. I agree with another reviewer that said she adds some of the salsa to the guacamole to give it a little something extra. I do it every time. Still good without it but even better with it! I almost always get the 2 enchilada plate...cheese onion and pepper and spinach...DELICIOUS! I've had the chimichanga and other items as well and I have never had a bad meal here. Wish it was closer so that I could go more often, but I always look forward to it when we do go.
The building is nice but definitely nothing special besides the fact that it was built in 1894. Being from Eastern Europe, this is an architectural baby age for me. Food wise, this place could be considered a gem if you were raised in the swamps of West Virginia and the only food you are accustomed to is the one that crawled onto your front porch to die. Not sure why these people had to "Murkanize" the hell out of the food and forcefully extract any ethnic flavor (or any flavor actually) that could've been in it, but thats what happened. The salsa: served with bland generic blah chips, it tasted like someone dripped sweat into it. If you sit on a bus next to a sweaty homeless person in July and are forced to inhale that funk, that is precisely what the aftertaste of the salsa was. This is pretty much the most accurate description that I can bring forth. The guacamole: I didn't know you can actually mess up the guac, but they did it. After pondering on a culprit for a completely bland taste (or lack thereof), I figured it out: they didn't have onions or salt in it! Nope, none at all! The steak tacos: These came on a plate with rice and beans, arranged in a fanciful manner which left the entire side of one of my tacos being drenched in these said beans, which I had to scrape off with my fork. Sorry, but when I ask for tacos with rice and beans on a side, please don't take it literally. The shell tasted like it was bought at Walgreens in 1998 and preserved in someone's cupboard just for this occasion. The meat and cheese (random chunks of melted mozzarella) were buried under a huge heap of lettuce, most of which I had to remove in order to not feel like a pasture animal. I think the best part of Mexican tacos is cilantro, which adds that zesty fresh flavor. You do NOT replace cilantro with bland filler like lettuce-NO! The meat itself was not awful (but this I mean "edible") but pretty bland and unimpressive. I've had better tacos at a gas station diner at 3am. The rice: tiny and chewy-hard, it appeared undercooked. I have cooked better rice in a microwave. There was definitely nothing Mexican about the rice as it was...wait for it...yes, bland! It appears "Tasteless" was a flavor of the day. I felt like I was eating sand. I am not a snobby eater as I was raised in 80's Russia on herring and spoiled cabbage borscht, but this place is terrible and is not worth coming back.
Food quality is always pretty good, sometimes great. Service is friendly. It's a tavern atmosphere, but not usually loud. Nicely renovated building. They server American food as well as Mexican dishes. The fish fry is usually good. Not open for lunch. Convenient street parking. Not wheelchair accessible.

First time here! Had the calamari, brick garlic bread and thin crust pizza. Good stuff! Definitely recommend the garlic bread, which comes along with the pizza as an appetizer. Nice atmosphere, family friendly.
Their food is delicious. I've been eating here for years. However, their customer service over the past few years has taken a serious dive. I randomly receive text messages confirming my order when the last order I placed was three months ago. When I *do* place an order, I receive texts saying the order was cancelled. Every time this happens, I call the restaurant to find out what is going on. It takes me, on average, seven tries to get past the busy signal. The teenager that picks up places me on hold right away. When he comes back, he asks one question at a time, puts me on hold to talk to his manager, another question, hold, etc. And, invariably, each time I am told the manager will call me back "in about five minutes", which never happens. Then the entire cycle repeats itself. Nobody here has any effing clue what is going on and tonight it inspired us to stop ordering from our favorite pizza joint. It would be nice if the manager would at least call us back to confirm our final order...
I came here with good old mom for carry out . I liked the atmosphere, appears to be newly remodeled. The staff that works here seemed to be really putting forth some effort to bust their ass. They all were dressed sharp and professional, which is pretty impressive for a pizza place. I take notice of that stuff and I think others may even if it subconscious. The service was outstanding although the place wasn't packed and we were getting ours to go. We placed a pizza order and sat at the bar and had a beer. While we were sitting the bartender was aware enough to ask us if we were waiting on a pie and was courteous enough to go back and see how it was coming along. The beer prices for what we had was moderate for a corona and a Lakefront tall beer it was $9. The pizza was just okay, I don't expect the pizza to be piping hot by the time we get it home or anything like that because we simply throw it pack in the oven. The crust wasn't the best, sort of bland and doughy in texture. The sauce wasn't spectacular either, it was too sweet for my taste. I felt like someone took some store bought dough and slathered some spaghettini sauce on it and added some toppings and called it good. I really enjoyed there garlic bread which I'm not so sure is truly garlic bread but it was really good. That on the other hand tasted like the bread was home made and doused in butter and salt. It was then baked and had an awesome crunch on the outside and fluffy spongy inside that after I finished have the serving size it left me wanting more. I'm sure I'll be back because mom likes it but I didn't love the pizza here but the atmosphere, service, and garlic bread were pretty good.

Great prices, the patrons are well aged, the food traditional American. I had eggs and bacon with a fruit plate. The WiFi was down but there were other WiFi's around to connect to. Coffee is fine. This is a retirement community and this was a hot spot.
I am typing this from the toilet. How one could make ham and eggs become the prep for a colonoscopy is beyond me. But here I am. Thanks for the clean out... But never going back here again.
A co worker suggested I try Andreas for breakfast so I did. The place was empty at first opening so seating was any place I wanted. The place looks like your typical diner. Service was kind of slow because one woman was working the whole place and about four tables in use. The menu has all the standard diner items. I ordered the ham, bacon and sausage skillet with greek toast. My food came fast and hot but no toast, she said she would be back with the toast. I'm waiting while watching her bring other tables there food, I can't start with out the toast because I'm going to make a mini sandwich out of the skillet. Minutes go by and she finally brings the toast, WTF. I finally start my breakfast and the eggs were perfect. The skillet had just enough ham, sausage and bacon so every bite had meat in it. The potatoes in the skillet were very good, not hash browns but silky smooth. I noticed after the second bite that the skillet was really delicious and the best skillet I have had. How could this skillet be so tasty, what is the secret here. Over all my service was lacking but the food was outstanding. It would have been four stars if the service matched the food. I will be back for that skillet when I have an itch for a skillet. I will post pictures of Andreas. I can't speak for lunch or dinner but the breakfast really good.

My friend and I went there last night and the experience was pretty bad. I heard from 1 of the other 3 tables in the restaurant that they used to be located in West Allis or somewhere west of Cudahy. As I said there were only 4 tables with us on a Saturday night!!!!!! When we entered we were'nt greeted by anyone, there were 2 servers there a young man and a young girl, the young man grabbed menus and sat us all the time yelling back to the young lady that he wasn't taking anymore tables, he had been there since 8am and he was done. We felt very uncomfortable after that, I asked my friend if she wanted to leave but she chose to stay. When the young lady got to us you could tell she was very upset and teary eyed, actually another customer said to her "it will be allright" REALLY was she that upset because she had another table??? Now mind you we made a total of 4 tables, hardly a busy night for any restaurant. Being a server most of my adult life, I don't know what they would do if they had a busy night. I know if the young man is not related to the owners he would be terminated, lousy way to run a business, lousy presentation to guests. My friend ate, I chose not too after that great customer service display by the two team members. The food was all right, the service fair, the atmosphere horrible.
We have gone to this family restaurant a number of times and each time the staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the items on the menu. Food was above average and service was great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for the food, service and cost.
Never had a bad meal there. Waitresses are always attentive and courteous. Food is out fast and done right! Carlos, the owner/chef will pretty much make anything you want. Just ask! Their breakfast is absolutely awesome always fresh.

Giddy-up. The first star is for still having one of the few original "ten-gallon hat" signs out front. I grew up in Cudahy and have been patronizing this location since the mid-80's. If I can sum up this restaurant in one word it would be "consistent." In this instance, that's not a good thing. Nothing has changed here...ever. If you want to step into a 1980's fast food time capsule, here's your chance. Every other fast food joint on the Packard - Chicago Ave. strip has either been completely renovated several times or has been torn down and completely rebuilt. Not Arby's. The only thing that has changed here are the 5 for $5 specials and the Jamochi-ness of the Jamocha shakes. Of course there are many new things on the menu over the past several years, including fish options. Really? Fish? Its "Arby's Roast Beef," not "Arby's super-processed Alaskan Pollock." Humph... I wouldn't order a burger from Taco Bell, I'm not ordering a fish sandwich from Arby's. I was going to rate this location one star based on the never changing roster of Huber-release inmates that this location seems to employ. It had been about a year since I was last scared off by a drive through worker so I went back yesterday to check it out. Surprise, surprise when I was greeting by a very clean, nice looking female employee who didn't have any visible neck or knuckle tattoos, For that, I upgraded my review to two stars. As far as the food goes, Arby's roast beef if the bomb. No one else come close. However, their presentation could use a little work at this location....
The service was horrible. The staff was very impolite and down right rude. In the dinning area you could here the staff talk about their personal life's and swearing every other word. The dinning area was dirty with overflowing garbage. The service was slow and very rude. The food was not equivalent to other local Arby's. If you really want Arby's I suggest traveling to another city. Very very disappointing and a total embarrassment to the whole Arby's franchise. I suggest this Arby's location needs a new owner or management team. Or I suggest this location be shut down all together to stop embarrassing the Arby's franchise
Yep, I actually went into an Arby's at dinner time and tried to order a salad. I wanted the roast turkey farmhouse salad. They were out. She was friendly enough about it, but still... no salad.
