A must stop when near Sheboygan or Manitowoc Wi. I am from the area originally and now live in the chicago area where excellent food is everywhere. Rupps is the best place for those Wisconsin old fashions! Your meal will be exceptional and cooked to order by the owner. I have been there at least 10 times and never been disappointed. The outside is not fancy at all, but very nice inside. It has a feel of the old supper clubs. And ask for a horseradish pickle and mushroom in your old fashion or Bloody Mary . The pickles and mushrooms are a secret recipe and worth the ride! I do not think it is pricy, I can buy a round of drinks for 4 for under $20. Can't do that very often. Heard a lot about the place and the quality food. When we registered for a table we were told it would be 45 minutes. We waited and had several drinks, in the meantime people were being seated group after group and we continued to wait. We watched as people who entered after us were being seated at tables for 4 with only two people. We had 4 in our group. It took over 2 hours to get seated. The food was good, the server was very polite. Put money in the juke box ($5) and was told by the grey haired bartender he wasn't turning it up, not even a little bit, keep in mind we couldn't hear it at all. For the money you pay for drinks and meal for a couple ($74), I won't be going back ever again. It wasn't worth that wait and watching people coming in after us getting seated first . I wouldn't recommend the place. Save your money and go to Texas Roadhouse or find another supper club with a hostess and bartender who treats it's patrons with a little more respect .

The Prime Rib that are entire party ordered was tremendous. The portions are very generous and the meat was something else. I hadn't tasted beef like this in years. Mostly I am disappointed with Prime Rib, but this was outstanding. The soup and salad bar was adequate with some novel items like pearl sized beets. The wait staff was friendly and professional, if a bit overworked. This is classic supper club ambiance. You are there for the outstanding food, and just enjoy the salad bar while you wait for it to arrive. It did take a while to get served, but we were content to chat and nibble the salad, sipping wine and Manhattans. It is in an almost industrial looking building, but very comfortable inside. I like places like this, that make you comfortable and then bring you very excellent food!

Best Steak in the area hands down. Worth every penny! We come to visit family here from Chicago. Still have not found a steakhouse in Chicago that can cook a steak like this place! A Must try if in the area.
