Glad I finally stopped here, as I've driven by many times and thought "What an interesting hole in the wall looking place!" Situated next to a pretty active railroad, hence the name. I'm sure the place has history. The menu is limited, and it only serves food 2 days a week, I believe. Friday is fish, shrimp, and chicken tenders, with the usual sides of fries, cole slaw, rye bread,.. And the unusual options of cottage cheese or parsley buttered potatoes. They also have predictable appetizers, like breaded mushrooms, fried cheese curds, chicken wings, pizza,.. and green beans with parmesan cheese and ranch dressing for dipping? Never saw that before. I had the half and half, which was a choice of 2 out of the 3. 3 pieces of perch, 3 shrimp, 2 cod, (fried or grilled) I went with the perch and shrimp. Both were excellent! I prefer breaded over battered, so this was the place for me. Brother had the 3 piece cod. Drinks included 2 glasses of Alaskan Ale, one iced tea and one coffee. We were talked into the coconut cream pie, as well. Total bill was $41. (Even though I gave 5 stars, I make a better pie crust! ) I'm also a sucker for attractive middle aged waitresses with low cut tops who sit next to you to take your order. ;) A little heads up---CASH ONLY! But they do have an ATM inside.

Stayed her a few years in a row. Will not be back. Pool closed everyday for a short period because of "poop" in the pool. Even when the pool opened you don't want to go in, especially after 3 days in a row of closing. Several times saw people speeding through camp sites on the rented golf carts, very dangerous especially with so many children around. Camp sites themselves were clean and electricity worked well. Bathrooms kept as clean as possible with so much traffic through them. Food at snack shop is what you would expect at a camp ground. Check-in and check out process smooth.
This place is great. The layout for the pool, water slides, balloon war and kiddie water part is perfect. All together inside one fenced off area let's you relax. The staff is visible yet not overbearing. Reasonable rates for cabins and golf carts. Fishing pond is stocked which makes it fun for kids and parents.
Staff is great and grounds are clean. Sites are a little too close for comfort.

I came here after picking my dad up from the airport. He was on a business trip. The food was mediocre at first then i found a cockroach in my food. I cannot express with appropriate words how disgusting this place is and what a terrible experience i have just had less then 5 minutes ago of being there now that i'm writing this review. Do not go there there are cockroaches in the food and the ice machine probably has mold in it because the water and soda tastes horrible stay away from here.
Out in the middle of nowhere, where do you go to catch a drink with friends? Shamrock Pub & Grill. Small neighborhood type bar where everyone there must be a regular because everyone seems to know each other. Clean place and the staff was friendly. Reasonable drink prices. They serve food too I guess but I didn't partake. I guess they pack it in for the Fish Fry, they were cleaning up after the night when I was in there. Pool table, darts, karaoke, and obnoxiously loud rock music. Seems like the perfect "dudes' place to hang.
I come here every once in awhile for a couple of drinks and maybe some food. I've tried the steak sandwich with french fries and it was delicious. The steak almost melted in my mouth because it was so tender. Yummy! The drinks are good, but can get a bit pricey. I came on a Friday for the Fish Fry and I was a little disappointed. We waited a very long time for service at our table, but once the waitress came she was very friendly and prompt. When I got my order of cod, I was surprised because it came served in bite size pieces. I thought it was a strange way to serve the fish, especially since it seemed like only mine came that way. It tasted okay. I was hoping for a larger serving as well for the price. The bread was very good and came out warm and fresh. At the end of our meal, we were given a Baileys Irish shot from the bar. It was a nice way to end the meal. All in all, it was okay, but I'm hoping if I try the fish again, I have better luck next time! Shamrock can be a fun night spot for a drink, maybe some grub, and a good time with friends.
