This place is the nicest bar in Butler, but it is also in comparison to some of its competing watering holes. You would think it a supposed oxymoron when putting together the words "nicest" and "Butler." Do not sell short this little "blink and you miss it" town. Bottoms Up may have a lot more "sausage" than sparkle, but it has a renovated interior that surpasses--in terms of taste--many of the bars I have patronized in metro Milwaukee. The Happy Hour specials are very reasonable (2 domestic beers for $4), and the frozen boneless wings come out surprisingly crispy and taste of actual chicken. The wings were a whopping $3 with the 1/2 price appetizer special. In fact, all of their apps are 1/2 off until 6pm. They have other menu items like pizza and burgers, but that will have to wait for another after-work social visit. For the male patrons, the bartenders are scantily clad in namesake workwear (cropped and tied "Bottoms Up" jerseys and daisy dukes). It is a far cry from the pomp and circumstance of places like Coyote Ugly, but it does not need it. Here, everyone gets what they want: guys-eye candy and cheap drinks; girls-the cheapest night of drinking you will ever experience (see: men purchasing beverages for you for have the cojones to walk in the joint), Not a bad deal for anyone.

I travel solo for work. At the end of a long day, I always end up in chain restaurants because the menu is familiar -- even though I know the food won't blow me away. My hotel concierge recommended this place. It was the closest, and I was tired. I need to start trusting the decisions I make in this state, because they never disappoint. I couldn't be happier. The staff is incredibly friendly; I kind of feel like they're old friends. The ambiance is dark, and comfortable. Wooden tables and chairs much like my grandmother keeps in garage for a night of playing cards. [To be fair, she also keeps a couple couches and a carpeted rug in her garage.] I ordered beer cheese and cabbage soup an antipasto salad and a margarita. The soup was delicious, and the salad was everything I expected it to be plus twice the size. The margarita tasted kind of like the Jose Cuervo pre-mixed bottle I can buy on my own, but it did the trick. Places like this make me feel like I need to leave that comfort zone of chain restaurants more often. Bravo!
Can't believe I have not rated this place all this time . I love this place. It does have kind of an old feel and a regular spot for the local blue collar workers . The sandwiches are pretty good and other menu items are pretty decent as well. Service is always welcoming and friendly
This is nothing special. Tables are very close together and the menu is mostly fried food. I think this is a better bar than a restaurant.
