The pasta and pizza were very good, definitely above average. The service was a little slow, but it was a Sunday night and they may not have been fully staffed. A good place to go if you are in town.

Good food, very comparable to the competition in town at Napoli's. The waitress when we were there was kind of slow and inattentive. There was a fruit fly in my drunk I ordered. Take it for what it's worth

Food was good, reasonably priced, GREAT service! I would recommend for someone looking for something other than burgers and sandwiches.

Came back to town and ordered a pizza. Great chewy hand tossed crust, fresh mozzarella and good toppings. As a New Yorker I know my pizza, and while not a NY slice, really great pizza.

Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Always fresh and good. Service is great and I highly recommend it to friends coming through town.

We've been here a couple of times and the food was descent and my hubby was in the mood for Italian so he decided we should go here again. Needless to say after the following experience we will not be going back. We got seated and ordered our drinks and then after putting in our food order I told her I had a coupon for $5 off of 2 dinners with the purchase of 2 beverages. Her response to me was this couldn't be used with ordering their sandwiches. The ONLY thing this coupon excluded on it was that it couldn't be used with any other offers or all-you-can eat fish fry. I told her maybe it should state this and she commented back "well I don't make the coupons." After that I realized this was going downhill fast. After a little over 20 minutes we FINALLY got our appetizer (yes 20 MINUTES) which was VERY good. After that we waited ANOTHER 20 minutes for our food to come. Our sandwiches were really quite good. As we were eating a table of 10 came in and well, we were basically feeling like we were prisoners of Zumpano's. NO ONE would even look at us to give us our bill or give us boxes for the rest of the meal. After about almost 30 minutes a different waitress all together came over to us and said that our waitress would be over in a few minutes to get our check and my husband said "can we get 2 boxes for our food before it spoils too?" She said sure and brought us the boxes and our check and my husband practically threw our card at her so that we didn't end up sleeping there this evening. NEVER even an apology from anyone for such poor service or lack of hospitality. Oh I also forgot there were 2 other tables in the same predicament and not looking very happy either. Needless to say we didn't leave her a tip and walked out saying we should of just went to Subway we could of been home over and hour ago.

Nope. Been here before when it was a DIFFERENT Italian restaurant, but this one isn't much better. Just felt like they were mailing it in on all fronts. Service was not good - we were kind of left for dead and all of the food took a little too long considering we walked into a completely empty restaurant. The food was mediocre at best as well. Won't be back.

I've been going here for many years. Been going there for so long that I remember the restaurant from when it was called Infusionos and Pizza De Roma. I almost feel like I am an out of town regular. With that said, I have always eaten well at Zumpano's and would recommend it to others. Edit: 1/28/13 1. Zumpano's now offers gluten free pizza and plans to offer gluten free pasta in the near future. 2. They started serving home made bread with dinner at the begging of Jan 2013.

I have eaten here five times. I always find the food the be good. The calamari salad is excellent. It is a place that requires some time as the service is generally a little slow.

Well we walked in and no one greeted us. We didn't know if it was self seating or not. Chicken dumpling soup was mediocre. Wasn't homemade. Salad wasn't washed and bland. Garlic bread sticks were pretty good. Gnocchi had a different texture to it. The meatballs tasted like ground beef rolled up. No seasoning or anything. The meat ravioli was wonderful. Very flavorful. The lasagna was pretty good. I enjoyed it. The Alfredo sucked, it tasted like it was out of a can. Overall this would be a place I would go to once and a great while. Didn't hate but didn't love it either.

Im sure normally this is a fabulous good time as the owner and his family( who were dining at the time) were helpful and friendly.. But for us..we wanted to go have a nice dinner, things are tight and we dont get to go out much now..and I really wanted to try a nice local place..So I picked this one. It was apparent that they had gotten unexpectedly swamped which was unfortunate... We waited forever and never got a waitress..the owner came and brought us drinks..very nice and friendly man..We had waited so long for those drinks (soda and a coffee) that we were like.".wait! We know what we want!" lol..so he got some paper and put it in for us..We chatted and I said I can see you got a rush here huh? and he knew I was in the "buisness.." :) I kow what that is like being a veteran server myself (as you all know by now) and we were polite and patient. I can say though that I could have handled that place by myself no problem..BUT the server always needs a great bus person-they are magic in that sort of situation with drinks, water, bussing tables and all those little things that help avoid disasters and bad tips and no repeat customers who left unattended and unhappy..ANYWAY The bread basket had delicious warm bread...the coffee was perfect (except i couldnt seem to get a refill.dang it, it was really good coffee too!) We ordered manicotti and lasagna...it came pretty fast after that..but not to fast..we had our salad( fresh. crisp.yummy) and soup..Jim said it was the best cream of mushroom he has EVER had! My lasagna was a nice portion, not too huge like it can be..and I even took half home. Delicious rich sauce, perfectly baked cheese..Jim said his manicotta was over done or underdone because his noodles were hard..And he wanted more sauce. I agree I would have like more sauce..But I am sure could I have asked..I would have been obliged quickly and with a smile. We also had a charming encounter with a little girl from the next table ( a relative of the owners) who over heard us wanting olive oil for our bread..and she brought it to us! what a lovley girl! She was maybe 9yrs old? Jim gave her a tip..very cute! she said she wanted to be a waitress someday..with that gracious smile and charming attitude look out future waitresses! So another girl came in to help the single waitress that couldnt keep up and she was very sweet, i asked for regular coffee and she came out with the telling orange topped pot ( decaf for you who dont know) and she started to pour, I said thats decaf and she said" oh i think its just in the wrong pot"..whatever..pour it..all in all yes we would try it again. We found the owner and other family engaging and friendly and I would love to try some of the other itallian pasta dishes. Check it out!.Mangia!

I REALLY enjoyed my first visit to Zumpano's. The service was friendly (and frequent), the menu was loaded and diverse, and the food was good. We LOVED the piping hot fresh bread that they put on the table. The potato cheese soup is a "must have", and the pizza was the 2nd best I've had in the Burlington area (Napoli's has the best). I loved how they had an option to choose any pasta you want, any sauce you want, and any toppings / mix ins you want. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody, and I'll definitely be back.

My husband and I gave this place a shot since we had a coupon and it was our first time. We liked the cozy small-town atmosphere and the decoration on the wall were fantastic (vintage style Italian black and white photos!) We were greeted by a very nice young lady, who brought our drinks promptly. We took a while looking over the menu as there were so many yummy looking options! I went for the Gnocchi with sauce and hubby had the full rack of ribs with french fries and green beans. There were about 6 tables with 2 or more diners, and the one server. She was busy and not always prompt w drink refills. I don't blame her for this, and her tip was not affected either, just maybe a note to the manager/owner that a little help for her may have been nice! The entire dining process took well over an hour, almost an hour and half. Not good if you're in a hurry! We weren't so it was ok. We had warm bread and butter and mozzarella sticks to start, then our entrees. Though slow to bring out the food, we were very glad that we weren't bombarded with appetizer, entree and the bill all in the same 20 minutes that you get at a lot of places. They seemed to have a flow of service with the courses, which is the way it should be done. My Gnocchi was AWESOME! plentiful and HOT, hubbies ribs were out of this world, and he wouldn't stop talking about how delicious the green beans were. We really liked this place and will recommend as well as return with or without a coupon!

The pizza here is great! I have lived in Burlington for a long time, and Napoli's used to be the place to go, but Zumpano's has overtaken the taste and quality of food. I have also ordered some Italian dishes, some dishes being homemade. Everything food wise, has been very good to great. They also have a all-you-can-eat fish fry, which is to die for. They make their own beer batter and use fresh cod. It is also very reasonably priced. The decor inside is very cozy inside. It has a small bar that seats six. The service is good, although food does take slightly longer than some restaurants, it is worth the wait, since the food always is fresh and hot. I highly recommend this place, as it has consistently produced high quality food for a great price.

Love the warm family ambiance. Love the courteous and attentive staff Love the owner coming around to check on you I've never had a bad dinner service here - try both the dinner specials and the dinner salads - always fresh and great flavors. The calamari are always freshly butchered on site - no ding ding food here!

This place was amazing. I had their spicy seafood pasta and it wasn't too spicy, just right. I did ask for a glass of milk at the end to cool my mouth, but that wasn't too bad. The server brought my boyfriend plenty of iced tea to start off which is always helpful and she paced our meal perfectly. I am definitely returning to this place as often as I am in the area.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
