I was able to try these homemade enchiladas at a food/wine event in Milwaukee. Everything is homemade and then frozen. Simply heat in the oven and you have some of the best enchiladas in town...at home. Favorites include the black bean and spinach enchiladas (vegetarian and very tasty) and the "Manchiladas" (with steak and blue cheese). There is also cheese, chicken, shredded and ground beef, pulled pork, cheese, bacon cheese, steak, and tri pepper enchiladas. They offer sizes varying from 2 enchiladas all the way up to catering trays for 20 or so people. There is also homemade salsa, guacamole, soups and salad. If you have not already, give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.

I purchased these previously when I was an Outpost Owner. Today I was at Sendiks in New Berlin and they were offering samples. Well, I forgot how awesome they were. Well, not kidding, these are better than any Mexican restaurant that I've "ever" eaten at. They have $1 off at Sendiks on their products until Tuesday and I'm going back for more. It's extremely rare to find a product that you can reheat from frozen at home and it's better than the homemade thing but these folks do something awesome. I'd love to suggest that they open a local restaurant but that might put a strain on their incredible frozen grocery business. Keep up the great work peeps, tastes incredibly homemade from frozen!

The owners have South America in their family background and passed down cooking traditions. They have cage free chicken enchiladas and several options for take and bake tasty items. Our enchiladas made at home were delicious and I could tell were thoughtfully prepared. MUCH better than your average frozen Mexican fare. I appreciate the thoughtful cheese and salsa that comes along with your purchase. I enjoyed talking to the staff and happy to see them at the Tosa Farmer's Market.

Just like homemade! Just picked up the chicken and spinach and black bean from Sendiks for a quick meal at home. These enchis were delicious! The ingredients are all natural, what you'd find in your kitchen. With a gluten sensitivity, it's hard to find fast fresh and these were spectacular! Can't wait to try the other varieties.

Happy to report that Linda's enchiladas are available at Metcalf's Sentry on State Street and also at Outpost locations. Save yourself the drive to Brookfield and pick up a tasty tray of yummy Mexican goodness at your local store!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
