Definitely did not live up to the good reviews, for us. The place was clean, and the staff was very friendly. However, service was ridiculously slow, and the restaurant was only about 20% full. When breakfast was served, we asked for some hot sauce, and a new glass of water because one had food particles floating in it. We took about 20 minutes to eat, and never received the water or hot sauce. Food was just okay.

Glad I looked at Yelp before we decided on a place to stop for dinner as we were passing through. I love family restaurants like the Road Dawg. We all ordered breakfast for dinner. Steak and eggs for under $8.00, came with a small ribeye, 2 eggs, hash browns and toast. Enough to fill you up and tasty. Pancakes were fluffy and full of flavor. Great prices, good service. Would recommend to those passing down I-39/51 between IL and WI.

Great food, excellent service. I eat there every time I am in Beloit. Chicken by the piece and the ribeye sandwich are my favorites.

You ever walked into one of those small town restaurants and everybody stares at you like you're going to turn into a zombie from walking dead? Not at Road dawg they welcomed us like family even though the restaurant was closing in 15 minutes. We got great service great food at a great price. Next time we're passing through Beloit we're going to bring a picture of our family to hang on their wall!

Decent enough place for breakfast but really nothing special. Prices are good and food is adequate. Waitresses were pleasant enough and service was quick enough. I ordered a combo which consisted of two each: scrambled eggs, pancakes and sausages. The eggs were well-done and a bit dry as a result. I'm used to eggs in places like this arriving in a puddle so I did appreciate that they weren't greasy, just overcooked. The pancakes were serviceable but nothing to write home about. They were also huge. The sausage were not cooked but not seared such that the casings were a little thick to get through with a fork. Flavor was good and the waitress told me the they are sourced locally. This really was a 2-star experience but the fact that they saved me from another McBreakfast has got to be worthy of an extra star.

Excellent choice. My friend and I were passing through the area and decided to stop based on the yelp reviews we saw. Many reviews raved about the steak and eggs (ribeye). I had the country fried steak and eggs and my friend had the steak and eggs. The country fried steak was delicious and the gravy was extremely flavorful. The ribeye steak was also quite good and very flavorful. Not to forget the pancakes, because they will not be forgotten! My friend says they were the best pancakes she's ever had out. I agree the pancakes were absolutely wonderful. As soon as the food arrived you could smell the vanilla in the pancakes. We each used the pecan syrup (which we were told is speciallly ordered) and they were absolutely divine. We both agreed we will return, even though it's an hour drive.

Nothing special whatsoever. The prices may be amazing, but I'd rather pay a higher price for more edible food. Parts of my pancake were literally crunchy...not just crispy, it actually crunched! The free choices for hotel guests are ridiculously small.

A 4 star roadside diner! Excellent service, tasty sandwiches, super tasty breakfast taco skillets, and so, so inexpensive. We ordinarily wouldn't have stopped but the reviews were great and we were hungry. It worked out well. We go this way a few times a year and I can see making it a regular pit stop on our route from now on!

Coconut Cream Pie. Get some. We go just for pie. Don't skip the pie. Breakfast buffet on Sunday is good. Everything is good. But the pie, the pie is Awesome.

This is my go to restaurant in Beloit for a family type meal. 8 dollar breakfast buffet on Sunday. Great weekday specials. Quality wait staff. Great cooks. "There is no food like Dawg food"...yes I want that on a shirt.

Regular diner fare, but good. I got taco salad that was pretty good and the homemade white corn shell was absolutely delicious. Also, there's a nice photo opp sitting in their parking lot. "Better than it looks" is how I'd describe it.

Do not let the fact that this is inside a Rodeway Inn prevent you from trying this gem. The steak and eggs is the best 8 bucks you can spend. The service was friendly fast and attentive. Danielle was a great waitress.

Best place for a meal and spend the night at their hotel. Clean rooms. Great food and affordable rooms. If you are a truck driver There is room for your rig and you get a discount. Quiet too. The staff is awesome. Go here if in beloit wisconsin Walmart down the street and menards.

Looking for a place to celebrate Easter dinner after a late flight into town one evening and stumbled across Road Dawg because they were one of the few places open, the other options being fast food. The service was good and they even had an Easter dinner option with the traditional sides, etc. It's what you would expect from a roadside truck stop as far as the atmosphere goes but I really appreciated them being open and a haven from eating fast food garbage on a holiday!

Nice place! Stopped off the interstate to get lunch. Nice & clean; very friendly & attentive help, especially the hostess. We both had one of the four "lunch specials" that was offered that day. The homemade pie looked great even though we didn't partake! Food was quick & tasty and we were back on the road in 30 minutes.

I went to the bar section of the Road Dawg and it was good. Excellent value and good food. Can order from the bar menu which is basically bar appitizers such as wings, chicken strips, etc..... OR you can order from the Full restaurant menu. Fodd was excellent and people were friendly. This is a place for regulars but everyone treats you well. For a good solid meal and pretty cheap drinks, this is the place to go.

We have been there twice..both experienced were outstanding. Last Saturday we had breakfast and the taco skillet was very good..our server Penny was so much fun..very attentive and supplief us with a hot sauce made by the owners son. You shoulf market this stuff! Penny gave us extra and we are enjoying it on vacation! !! Awesome food, great prices and kudos to Penny. ..we will return. Connie and Lew

While the food was priced well considering what I got, it took a very long time to actually get it and was just okay in taste. I understand it can easily change depending on what you order but it's not somewhere I'd go back to for a second meal.

The Road Dawg Family Restaurant has THE best weekend buffets, and it is at a GREAT price! The best parts about this restaurant is that you can get anything on their menu at any time of day, that means chicken at 7am or omelets at 8:30pm! The service is wonderful, everyone is so friendly! There is also a bar and hotel attached so you can get a drink if you want as well. Patti's Road Dawg Pub is a great place to relax with friends, watch a game on their big screen TV's, or play pool. You can get anything on the restaurant menu in the bar. And the hotel that is attached offers coupons with your stay for the restaurant and the Pub so you don't have to worry about driving if you want to enjoy the pub to its fullest! This is definitely a "must try" if you are in the Beloit area!
