This is a great neighborhood restaurant. Great cocktails. Friendly service. Good Italian menu with fabulous pizza. Great place to meet friends for a cocktail on a weekday night. Open until 10. Outdoor seating for the warm months. Did I mention they have fabulous pizza?

Went on a Sunday. Not fairly busy. Yet it took over 46 minutes for our food to arrive. The order was so messed up. The spaghetti was very watery. The chicken was over cooked and very dry. We won't be returning.

One of my favorite places to dine in Eau Claire. Love it is a local business and not a chain and family owned. I have not had any issues with staff or food ever while dining here. If you do have an issue it has always been addressed immediately and professional. They take a lot of pride in what they do and offer for entrées and rightly so. Love that we can dine outside even though traffic sounds are evident. Love sitting in the sun and siping an excellent wine or a crisp beer.

I visit here a couple times a year as my son goes to college here. I am a big fan of the food and atmosphere here. I usually order the old standby of spaghetti since they have a wonderful red sauce. Love the salad as a starter and a finish of their wonderful Tiramisu. I've always had great service and great food. If your looking for solid Italian food you won't be disappointed.

The eating area was clean and elegant. I didn't visit the restroom. Atmosphere was quaint. Not many people here on Tuesday night at 8pm. Service was prompt. I ordered a half Caesar salad and the godfather spaghetti. The salad was great. The dressing was the creamy style with croutons and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. The spaghetti was great. This particular dish has smoked and regular Italian sausage with whole garlic cloves that are sautéed. Not too sweet or bitter. The portion was perfect. Service was great. The server took me to my table and handed me a menu. She stated she would give me a few minutes to settle and then take my drink order. She returned and I was ready to order. Salad came quick. Just as I finished, she brought out a mini load of sourdough with garlic butter. Just as I finished that, my spaghetti came. I was checked on often and never had an empty glass. Cash and major cards accepted. No checks. I would recommend this place.

I made dinner reservations here for my mother's birthday. Eau Claire does not have a lot of fine dining options and this was the only place I could think of. I was embarrassed of the service and quality of food. We ordered the appetizer which was underwhelming and in my opinion prepared totally wrong. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo and asked the waiter what a good wine was to pair with this. The only thing he knew of was a white wine which to me was obvious and redundant. I asked what Chardonnay was more fruity or oaky and he was clueless. I assumed then and there this was going to be a bad experience. The food arrived and I could tell just by looking at it it was going to be unedible. There was no flavor to the Alfredo and the chicken was not fresh, unseasoned, or prepared the way they had stated. My boyfriend ordered salmon of which was also not fresh and was also underwhelming. Thankfully the entree my mother ordered which was an eggplant pasta dish turned out semi decent as this was supposed to be a special occasion for her birthday. I did not want to make an issue about my food however my distaste was obvious so I asked that she take a bite. It was so bad she spit the food out and decided herself to make apparent to the waiter. She kindly told the waiter how underwhelming my dish was and the waiter replied he would talk to the chef. 20 minutes later he returned with the check and said have a good night and did not have the due diligence to remove the item from the bill. Sadly the bill came to more than some of the nicer restaurants I go to here in the Twin Cities. My mother felt horrible that we spent so much on such a horrible meal for her birthday however I'm happy she was satisfied with her egg plant garbage whatever it was. This is not remotely anything resembling authentic Italian! save your money and food buds!

In town and went to the Eau Claire location-Clairemont and Hwy 53, visiting our daughter for the holidays. I am an Italian from New York, living in Minneapolis. I was very pleased with this lovely restaurant, nice decor and great quality of food. Calamari, creamy mushroom soup, veal parm-which was not on the menu and they willingly made it for me. Everything was fantastic! The Italian food at this restaurant was as good as any I've had in New York. Really! The only reason I cannot give it 5 stars was the very poor service from our waiter. Among the worst I have ever had. Can't wait to return next time I visit.

I was very pleasantly surprised by Draganettis! When I saw the restaurant it conjured up images of Olive Garden because it is right off the highway and just doesn't look that special. However, it turned out to be MUCH nicer than that. As others have noted the food selection is pretty standard Italian fare but it is done really well. I got the ravioli with peppadew sauce. Personally I thought it was a large portion for the price but then again I am used to Twin Cities prices. I added the caesar salad to my meal and thought the dressing was really well done. This is not always the case for Caesar dressing. Everyone else at the table loved their dishes as well. For dessert we split the tiramisu. It was good as well but not as great as the rest. Maybe if I venture there again while visiting family I'll go for an appetizer instead. Lastly, I remember their wine selection being quite good and much better than expected. This seems like a great place for a date night or even a group.

What the?! I was here because someone I was with wanted to "go back" to Draganetti's. Turns out, he got car sick on the way back to the city...of course he did have a lot to drink

Great Italian. Wife is gluten-free and had a penne pasta dish-amazing! Great salads and appetizers too. Would certainly return next time through Eau Claire!

Draganetti's is solid, old-school, red sauce Italian food. If you are looking for creative, cutting-edge Mediterranean cooking, this is NOT the place to go. If, however, you want classic red-sauce lasagna or ravioli, you will not be disappointed. I am huge fan of the gnocchi and the Godfather pizza is excellent.

We went there because we saw good reviews on Yelp. We ordered Draganetti's pizza and veal masala. The pizza tasted okay. We liked the thin crust. However, we were very disappointed with veal masala. The brown sauce was awful and it seemed like they over burnt the wine. Gnocchi was so so and tasted like it was frozen food. We liked the service there, however.

Best pizza in town except for a drunken Topper's night.

The thin crust pizza is great! Anytime I'm in Eau Claire (several times a year) I stop by. I recommend sitting in the bar area. It's more social. The wait staff is always friendly.

Went there on Valentine's day. Walked in and saw empty tables. It was 5:30. Since they don't take reservations, I was surprised to hear that there was a 15- 20 minute wait. We had to go sit in the lounge. Looking back, they only do this to extort money from you at the bar. Got to the table. The menu was pretty limited and portions were very small for the cost. My food was good. My wife's fettucine Alfredo with chicken had a fishy taste. Service was fast and friendly. But I'm not going back. I shouldn't have to go somewhere else to get more food after dinner.

the food and service were excellent. the eggplant was cooked to perfection... and the cannolis are as good as anything I've got from Italian bakeries in New York City

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
