    Excellent to the max." Located in Woodland, this Restaurant looks modest from the outside; upon entering what one notices first is the walls are adorned with photos of service men and women some vintage!" First walking in it looks a bit crowded and noisy with lots of people but they look to be enjoying themselves?" It stays this way to about 10 A.M. when it begins to thin out some? But probably everyday is different? I was here on a Thursday July 2, 2015. !" However being busy is usually a good sign of great food? I was not disappointed in this theory?" This is a nice friendly cozy joint only open to 3 in the afternoon! a lunch menu is available too?" I tried the chicken fried steak and eggs and it was very delicious but a bit of a shock when it arrived as it was so huge! The Home fried potatoes are very tasty too." I did not leave here Hungry that's for sure, the staff is friendly, the service is excellent too I need to mention" I give this place 5 stars and do not need to even think about it? I will return here again, Larry of Larry's ice cream. La Center;

Decided to give this place a try after reading all the positive reviews. It's a small dive, as I expected. Place was filled with one would assume were regulars. We were greeted with some odd stares from the tables when we walked in. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, the kids ordered silver dollar pancakes and chocolate chip pancakes. The hash browns were pretty greasy, my over easy eggs were under cooked, the biscuits were really good, but the gravy had an odd taste. After my initial reaction I found the gravy was okay, just not what I was expecting. The service is attentive and friendly, but the place is so small it's not like they can go very far. The flies really got annoying. There were quite a few of them. They should look into getting some traps. The kids said they would not want to come back here, I would probably agree. The food is edible, that's about it.

Do I dare venture to say, the most amazing breakfast EVER!? Holy smokes... I got the everyday breakfast with scrambled eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage links, hash browns and a half of a biscuit with gravy. Normally I don't usually go for the biscuits and gravy because let's face it, they're nothing but carbs and fat, but the nice waitress recommended I try them. She only charged me .49 for a half of one. Ding dang, I'm glad I did. The sausage gravy was to die for - seriously! I didn't finish everything, because jeesh, i needed to be able to walk out of there.. but if my bed was close by, i might've polished it off. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked, bacon and sausage were really tasty, homemade hash browns were delicious and fresh. No frozen stuff here. The waiters/waitresses were amazing, friendly, thorough and quite humorous. Nate was absolutely HILARIOUS!! A couple of cops came in and he was joking with them about borrowing their taser because one of the other guys was acting up. Haha.. He also teased them when they went up to pay about "dining and dashing!" You could tell the cops come in regularly and we're used to the humor, although one of the cops' entire head turned so red. Lol.. One of the cops paid, walked out to his car, and then came back in to give the kiddos stickers. I LOVE small towns like Woodland!! Also the power went out for about a minute and one of the waiters yelled out that they forgot to pay the bill again. They went back and flipped the breaker and it was all better. But it was just all handled quite well, and actually very entertaining. Everyone in the place is hustling with a genuine smile on their face. Definitely a cool, fun environment with great people to be around! The restaurant is very small with tight quarters, but it is clean and pretty packed with people. Which is always a great sign! America's Family Diner does a WONDERFUL job getting the hot delicious plates of goodness out! They also have a GIANT smoker out back they use daily. Nate said that he himself had smoked pork tenderloin for today's special. I didn't end up trying it, but I bet it was wonderful. I LOVE supporting little places like these! We will be back soon!!!! YUM!!

What a killer little breakfast joint!!! Staff is incredible food is even better!!! Thick crispy bacon and fluffy flavorful pancakes make this place number 1 in our book!!! This has become a regular weekend tradition for us and I always look forward to it!!!!

This place is everything I love about this country. The moment you walk in the door you notice the pictures of service men and women that have served our county. The food was great! Mine wife had the open faced roast beef sandwich and I had the clam chowder with a sandwich. Everything was perfect. I would eat here again anytime.

Crazy amazing. What service and good should be. No can to pan here! I was travelling through, got this place as a recommendation from a local. LOVE. You have to eat here to remind yourself what good food and great service is.

We found this Diner on Yelp. With the ratings we decided to try it . We could not have been happier !! Great comfort food.. We had the Grandma's omelet and Grandpa's chicken fried steak. The food was just delicious !!. The service great. We will return for breakfast and lunch before we leave the area. They have about 12 tables and are open for breakfast and lunch.

This place is great! Tasty food, generous portions, reasonable prices. The place is always packed which is generally a negative for us but if you eat here you'll understand why they are always mobbed. Not that we'd need more incentive to go here but the Owner, family and wait help are all very gracious and just plain nice folks. It's sort of like eating at Grandma's house :)

First off just want to say don't let the size of the place steer you away. This place is absolutely amazing! We are on a 32 day vacation and I have to say this place is one of the few great places I had the opportunity to fill my stomach with finger licking food. The waitress was top notch and very engaging in conversation. I would definitely recommend this place if you ever have the chance to go.

You know a place is good when the parking lot is full. I will keep it short and say if you want a great breakfast served by nice people in a locals kind of place, you have found it. The sausage gravy and biscuits were very good ( I'm a b and g snob!) As good as a diner gets!

Drove through Woodland on our road trip and stopped in at this lovely joint. It was busy but the tables moved quickly. Our server was delightful and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend this joint.

We first visited this restaurant in 2012. I think they were fairly new at that time. We weren't impressed with the service but the place was packed. We thought we'd never return but we did. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. Food was delicious. This is a typical local restaurant. Inside it's fairly small but we will definitely go back. Sometimes it pays to give a place a second chance. I think they've worked out all the early bugs and now are top notch.

Woodland's best kept secret, Small cozy neighborhood breakfast/lunch place with about 10 tables. Tough choices to make as the omelet sounded so good but I ordered my old standby, bacon and eggs, hash browns, and toast with coffee. Good attentive service by Nate and staff. Traditional diner menu with great food. Good old fashion value served with a smile. The restaurant is decorated with pictures of service men and women from the last 30-40 years. Large Private parking lot. Less than a mile east of I-5 with easy on/off access. You can't go wrong eating here, you will leave feeling like you know them!

Service, Ambience and unique items push it to a 4. I had heard great things on The Yelp about this place and my wife had a hankering for pie (which strangely they do not have) so we found this place. It's not far off the highway, but it's behind a lot of the other Woodland hustle and bustle. I love the look. Lots of armed forces memorabilia and pictures. Very American. Not the sexiest of spaces, but if I want sexy I'll got a PF changs. The service was very warm and friendly. Just what you would expect from such a place. I was very pleased. I got the chicken fried steak. The gravy was good and definitely homemade and the steak LOOKED delicious. It was actually very well seasoned, but cooked within an inch of its life. Very dry and tough on the inside. However all of the accoutrements were up to standard. Good pancakes and eggs. The hashbrowns were very well cooked and crispy. I don't mind soggy hash browns, but there's something to be said about a good crispy side of hash browns. My wife got the strawberry cheesecake pancakes. They were pretty darn good. Nothing I would drive miles for. I was worried they would be artificial, but they tasted like natural strawberries. I'm sure some people will love it more than I did. I loved the blueberry lemonade. Real blueberries, whipped cream, and a big straw. However due to the non uniform nature of blueberries I can definitely see someone choking and having a bad day with it. Overall this place did a good job of delivering homemade food. Nothing tasted artificial and for a small business off the freeway that is way ahead of the curve. Make me a better country fried steak and you got a 5.

We happen to be up in Woodland, Washington, and searched the Yelp app for a good restaurant in the area. Lo and behold, America's Family Diner popped up at the top of the list, and that's where we headed! I can easily see why this place got so many good reviews! This place is family owned and operated. Everyone is super friendly in what feels like a small town diner atmosphere. The menu items are all named after family members. Nate introduced us to his family members that were seated in a nearby booth. His young daughter was dressed in a Snow White costume, she was so adorable, his other daughter waved at us. I ordered the Gracie's Garden Burger with French fries. Gracie's Garden Burger had a garden burger patty and grilled mushrooms and swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles...I asked for no onions, otherwise you get those as well. It was very good, the bun was so soft. The french fries were perfect, crisp on the outside and flavorful. My friends were all very happy with their choices too. This place is awesome, and if you happen to find yourself in this part of the world, you definitely should stop by!

Ate breakfast here for the first time last week. Small, quaint diner. Excellent service. Breakfast fare was surprisingly good and priced well. Love the military service photos all over the walls. Definitely will take the time to go back to eat there.

Nate took good care of us and made us smile. That kind of customer service, combined with great burgers, are enough for me to rate America's Family Diner at 5 stars. We stopped in based on the great Yelp reviews, and were not disappointing. I went with the Elijah's Pick burger, and opted for pepper jack cheese and roasted green chile on top. This was the best burger I have had in a long time. The hand-formed 1/3 lb. patty was juicy and perfectly cooked, and the crispy bacon and toasted bun were the icing on the cake. 5 star burger for sure. My son opted for the same burger, but with cheddar cheese, and without the roasted chile -- he also loved his. My wife went with the Kellie's "That's a Wrap" -- a chicken, blue cheese, and Swiss wrap with a spinach tortilla. She thought the wrap was good, but not the best she's ever had. She chose sweet potato fries as her side, and was quite pleased with them. This is a cozy little family diner that is done right. Even at 1:30 in the afternoon, there was a steady stream of locals flowing through the door -- and even the ones that weren't locals (like us), were treated like old friends by Nate. If we ever pass through Woodland again during their hours of operation, we are stopping in!

This place has great food! Its a little crazy to get to but well worth it when you arrive. Make sure you arrive early or later so that you miss the true breakfast crowd since the place is very tiny. There are about 4 booths and 5 tables (?). We were luckily enough to arrive after the busy time. The food there is great! I love going out for breakfast and I have had my fair share of bad eggs, hash browns, ect. But this place knows how to cook a great breakfast! I recommend stopping by if you are ever in the area. Tip: Ignore the wait staff, they do have a bathroom. Its located outside the restaurant around the corner.

Love this place! Stopped by for late breakfast while staying nearby. The Eggs Benedict was very good and the large orange juice is actually large! Husband had the special of the day... ham scramble and opted for the blueberry pancakes for the side. His food was awesome too. The place might be a little small, but the staff are very friendly and the service was fantastic! I highly recommend coming here!

We loved this spot for lunch and had a great time with Nate as our server. Delicious food (clam chowder soup especially!), great service and just plain old friendly people. A must stop for eats as you head back to Portland!

We were in the Woodland, WA area and were looking for somewhere close to have lunch after our visit to the Cedar Creek Grist Mill. We yelped and this little diner showed up on top of the list with stellar reviews. We went in search of this diner, which is not too far off the the freeway. It is a great place for breakfast and/or lunch if you're in the area. The menu has a pretty good selection and food is named after family members. Nate, the owner, was really friendly and he shared with us who is who on the menu. I had the Ray's Reuben on marbled rye bread with french fries. I can't remember when was the last time I had a reuben, but this was pretty darn good. Also, I like that the rye bread is not dried out and hard. We also had Angel's "Dare Ya", Gracie's Garden Burger, and the special for the day - Marinated Sirloin Tips and Strawberry sour cream pancakes Looking at everyone's plate, one can see that everyone was very happy with their choices. There were no left overs. It is really a really good experience to go to a place and the owner and staff are really friendly and makes you feel at home. I'll definitely be back when I'm in this area. This is a much better choice than the fast food chains along the freeway.

When you hear the name America's Family Diner do you think of a small, local, salt-of-the-earth place churning out hearty breakfasts in Small Town, USA? Well, your assumption is pretty much spot on. This little (and I mean LITTLE) joint sits in what passes for downtown Woodland, WA not more than 1/2 mile from the I-5 along the Lewis River Hwy. The dining room at this restaurant is literally about 20x20, and the tables are crammed in nice and tight. Photos of service men and women blanket the walls. Friendly service welcomes you in for a seat (if there's not currently a wait). We hit this place on the way back from camping after climbing a mountain, and were in need of a solid diner breakfast to fuel our recovery. This place does not disappoint. With omelets, pancakes, chicken-fried steak, biscuits n' gravy and more on the menu, there's really something for anyone wanting to load up. I've sampled a ludicrous creation of potatoes hashed up with sausage and ham, topped with two eggs fried hard, topped with gravy topped with cheese. Yes. This is stick-to-your-bones food. It was surprisingly good (except the gravy wasn't all that - I'd skip it next time - too flour-y and gloppy). My meal was satisfying in many ways. It came with toast and they also offer a house-made biscuit. Not to worry, not everything here is a gut-buster, they have lighter omelets as well. Of the multiple choices in Woodland for diner breakfast, this spot rocked the best Yelp reviews and I can see why. They deserve their People Love Us On Yelp sticker for sure.

This place is a hidden Gem! Went there recently for breakfast. My husband and I shared the seafood omelette and strawberry pancakes. Both were fresh and delicious! Not to mention the service was great. Will definitely return soon.

After some camping with some friends near Mt. St. Helens it was time to head back home to Portland. Since the one restaurant in Cougar decided not to be open on a Sunday morning, we headed to Woodland (on our way back to I 5) to see if we could find some breakfast. America's Family Diner is where we ended up. This is a greasy spoon. I usually avoid restaurants that have "Family" in the name. Not sure why, but I usually do. This is diner food. Nothing great, but everything is A-OK. We each had the Chicken Fried Steak ($9.50) for a huge meal. If you don't want toast on the side, you can get 2 pretty big flapjacks. That is what I had. It was a fine meal. Not much more I can say about it.

  • Chuck H.

We just had s great breakfast-plenty of thick slab bacon, delicious biscuits with homemade gravy-the French toast really hit the spot! Wonderful service-small cozy restaurant and clean as a whistle. We would go back anytime!

  • Stan S.

Great, friendly staff, so so food. I give their breakfast 3 - 4 stars and lunch 1 - 2 stars. The last burger I got was cooked well ahead of time, not warm enough to even melt the cheese, and had a nickel size spot of dressing on the top bun. Basically, a meal they really didn't give a damn about. Because I've had more of those types of meals here than not, I've found other nearby options that have more consistent quality.

As a food writer, it is not often that I give a 5 star review to a restaurant, but America's Family Diner deserves each and every single star. We started coming to this little gem of a place roughly a year ago when we moved to the Woodland area. I love the fact that they honor our veterans. I love that I can walk in, sit down and Amanda knows exactly what I drink and how I like it. I love the food! Nate is fantastic in the kitchen! I'm sad because I'll be moving from the area soon, but my husband and I will definitely be making the drive down just so I can have a Jacob's Small Boy burger (I recommend getting the grilled green chili on top!) and my husband can have his breakfast of the Ol' Standby. This is a very small restaurant and you'll, most likely, sit by a complete stranger when you come in and leave as friends. I've tried most everything on the menu and I've never gotten anything less than an excellent meal with excellent service. The one major component we'll miss about living in Woodland is our short drive down for breakfast with you all. You guys are all kick ass and, by far, you out-cook and out service any restaurant that we've been to for breakfast. We love you all there!

    (5)
  • Kelly S.

First of all very patriotic restaurant, love that! It's a small place, but small places are the best because they can concentrate on their menu more and on you. We had the breakfast bowl and the chicken fried steak. Both were really good. Eggs on both plates were done perfectly, nice and fluffy. The customer service, which is crucial to me, was above and beyond. Both girls were in there hustling their butts off and we never had to ask for refills or anything, they were on it. I Will definitely be going back!

This place was excellent! I had the corn beef hash and my wife had the eggs Benedict and finished every bite! The service was very friendly and accommodating. It is also not far off the interstate. Stop in if you ever are looking for breakfast in the area.

Great place to eat. You get plenty of food for a good price, and if you are a veteran you get a discount. You can bring a picture of yourself in uniform and they will put it on their wall. The service is great and the waiters and waitress are all friendly.

  • Steve D.

Great food! I had the breakfast bowl (hash browns, eggs, sausage, onions, peppers, homemade gravy smothered on top) and it's in a big bowl, not just one of those little sissy bowls you get at the chain breakfast places. I could feel my arteries clogging with the delicious goodness, then I felt like taking a nap. It was that good. It is a small place with 3 tables and 4 booths, during peak times it is packed. So try to go just before or after breakfast or lunch hours to get a seat.

A great little diner with all-day breakfast and a much better choice than any of the main street choices if you are visiting the Hulda Klager Lilac Garden. Our server was very friendly and had a good sense of humor, which he shared liberally ;) My wife had the Bill (pancakes & sausage). The pancakes were fluffy and light and the sausage very nicely grilled. I had Elijah burger, it had nice thick bacon and I added roasted peppers at our servers suggestion (great idea). The fries were crispy and plentiful. The overall vibe is friendly, that place where all the locals gather for lunch every day, small, and a bit noisy. Note: we had trouble finding it, as it was further down the road than Yelp shows it (on the right). I tried to correct the location, but not sure if that stuck.

If there were an Olympic medal for friendliest diner, America's Family Diner would get the gold. We pulled in off *the 5* looking for breakfast en route to Seattle. This unassuming little place turned out to be a treasure. Third generation in the same family. Military photos and medal displays cover the walls. The earliest ones belong are the original owners and family members. Now they are outnumbered by photos of friends. The current owner greeted us and showed us to the table. He later shared the history of the diner. The mother and daughter at the next table told us what to order and told us all about living in Washington (no income tax) and shopping in Oregon (no sales tax). The portions are huge, the food is as good as diner food gets, and the prices reasonable. Our only regret is that we missed the exit on the return trip from Seattle.

Still a loyal customer at America's Family Diner and it only gets better! They have increased the selections of specialty pancakes, which is wonderful. The prices have gone up just a little (at least $9/person) but it is not even an issue because the food is superb and the service has always been the best!

It's decent, but I was disappointed after reading the good reviews on here. The service is great, but the food is lacking. They have good coffee, fries, and omelets. However, the hash browns aren't crispy, and the burgers can be a little soggy. If I am in Woodland, I might go there again, but I wouldn't make a special drive for it.

Stopped in for breakfast and was blown away. Hubs had the best biscuits and gravy he has had in his entire life. And the man loves his b&g. I wish I ordered that too. Great! Great atmosphere. Felt like we were part of the family. Owner felt like a long time friend. He even gave us places to go see and eat, our vacation took us down the 5. He recommended us the best ice cream I'm the area from Rice Hill. We couldn't get over how great this little diner is. If we were locals that would be our spot. Wish we could stop by again. Thank you for serving great American food!

We were headed to the Grist Mill in Woodland WA and checked out the restaurants nearby...decided to go for lunch first and got there when they were about to close but they welcomed us in anyway...I had the Philly steak sandwich on a home made roll...Delicious..and their blueberry lemonade was awesome...with big pieces of blueberries..served with a large opening straw..Yummy.. Shared the strawberry shortcake dessert with my friend...it was good beyond words..large plump berries and whipped cream on top of the best homemade short cake that ever passed my lips. The staff was friendly and helpful..enjoyed the entire experience.. This diner deserves all the publicity and reviews it gets in order to alert folks looking for great food and old time friendly service. This is what it was like to go out for breakfast or lunch many years ago. We loved it...and so will you...we will be driving the hour drive from Portland many times in the future...

This place was busy at lunch time today. It's cozy and better than a typical greasy spoon. There are not many options for vegetarians on the menu but I asked if i could substitute spinach and tomatoes in place of Canadian bacon on Eggs Benedict. They said, "Sure, but it will cost more because of the spinach." I guess where they buy their products, bacon is cheaper than spinach. Anyway, the breakfast came. It was good and hit the spot. The only other negative was that their Hollandaise sauce wasn't Hollandaise sauce. It entirely missed that pleasant tangy flavor that is typical of a real Hollandaise. In sum, it was a pleasant atmosphere, the service was absolutely, stunningly excellent, but the food was only "good." It's possible a lot of folks don't know what Eggs Benedict should taste like. For them, this would have been great!

GREAT FOOD! GREAT PEOPLE/SERVICE! Love this placs! Introduced this gem to my boyfriend nearly a year ago... he lives in Portland, he swears this plsce makes THE BEST chivken fried steak breakfast!! The pancakes are the bomb! The service is excellent! The photos honoring all the military men & women will warm your heart... definitely worth the drive ftom the city, you won't be disappointed!

Heard great things about this place, so we decided to stop in and check it out and try something local. Really glad we did. Wonderful, REAL, homemade food and friendly service with smiles all around. Very small/home town vibe. The owner, Nate, greeted us with a smile and friendly banter. Fiance and I had the standby and rays country fried steak (crispy and tender) and my younger sister had hot cocoa and blueberry pancakes. I'm here leaving this review because I'm looking up the menu to place my next take out order ;)

Kinda mixed feelings, here. The TASTES were great; Service was fine, prices are fine. So what's the problem? My clam chowder, albeit delicious and VERY fairly priced, had a scant amount of actual clams. But it was STILL really tasty! My BBLT, advertised a having FOUR, of their special EXTRA THICK bacon was very good in flavor, but small, on PLAIN white-bread, and the bacon was just good-ol' regular thick-cut bacon... no huge special amount. The spousal unit had a very tasty wrap, but it was little more than a salad in a tortilla. Still, the flavors were fine. We SHOULD have had the breakfasts, which looked very generous & I'm certain were quite tasty as well. Their homemade corned beef hash was a special & I'm kicking myself for not having ordered it as if it was in line with the flavors of the other food, would likely have been a real hit. Still, all-in-all, the value is there, just that there was a bit of a let-down in too many areas for this to get 4-5 well-earned stars. Worth the visit if your on Hwy 5 in the area & hungry.

Love this place! It's very small but the service and the food more than make up for it. We are somewhat regulars here and come in for breakfast as often as we can. Our only complaint is that they don't serve dinner. They definitely a patriotic place offering a discount to service men and women, and photos/medals covering the walls. The food is amazing and always home-made. Nate (the owner) is always very friendly and makes you feel at home. I would recommend this place to everyone passing through woodland!

Nice little place off the highway. Very good food. The next time we're that way will definitely stop in again. Everyone was so nice and attentive!

We are on a car trip and tried to find breakfast through yelps. We actually stopped at the Old Town Grill first, but it turns out they only have breakfast Sundays. They did offer to whip something up, but it seemed auspicious. It didn't have the right feel for brunch either. So we found this place. Very sweet, three generations operating the place, very friendly. We had omelettes, eggs Benedict, pancakes and it was all good. The place totally decorated with army/ navy photos. The place got very busy. A very nice stop when you are on the road.

Excellent Diner- especially after a trip to the Mt Saint Helen's Lava tubes! Friendly staff and excellent service. Highly recommend the "Angel's Dare Me" sandwich. The best flavor in one sandwich! Great decorations for those of you that are patriotic!

Living in Woodland there aren't too many "sit down" options if you have family in town and want to go out to eat without driving 20 minutes either direction down the freeway. After reading the previous reviews, I decided this would be a great place the next time my dad was in town...well it wasn't. The food was lackluster at best, the one page dinner menu items were over priced and I think there might be a total of 7 tables jammed in there. The parking lot is always full so I am wondering if people in Woodland either don't know what good food is or we just ordered 6 different meals that were not impressive. It looked like everyone around us was ordering the special of the day, maybe that was our mistake. They are only open for dinner on certain days so maybe breakfast is where they shine? The decor was mentioned previously in a review, I have to say having an 8X10 of a former classmate in their military finery looking down upon you while you eat was a little odd. If I could give 5 stars to the girl serving and 2 for the food, I would. The server gave top notch customer service and I wish her the best because she was awesome but due to the food, I would not go back nor would I recommend it to anyone.

WOW! Loved this tiny diner just off I-5. Grandpa Ray's Country Fried Steak breakfast platter was outstanding. Finger licking good. And the strawberry cheesecake pancakes were amazing. Freshly made strawberry sauce is a rare thing indeed.

Awesome place! Wish it was open for dinner. The staff is amazing, friendly and keeps the food and drinks coming. The food is amazing; home style cooking with large portions and good selection. It's a small, quaint place that's kept clean and maintains a focus on quality of food and great service. We go here as often as we can!

This is by far the most amazing place to go and get breakfast in woodland. It's very small and sometimes you have to wait a little bit to get a table but the food and the staff is well worth the wait!

My son and I ate here a couple of mornings while staying in Woodland on our hiking trip. Unbelievable! Food/Service/Price was all top notch. One morning I had the shrimp and spinache omlet with toast. It was probably a 5 egg omlet completely stuffed with fresh shrimp and spinache. For $9. Next time I'm in the northwest I will make it a point to come here!

My girlfriend and I ate here the morning after climbing Mount St. Helens. My girlfriend went crazy for the biscuits and gravy. She's from Louisiana, so that's a solid endorsement. The sausage gravy and biscuits were both homemade and unbelievably delicious. Everything else was similarly homemade and tasty. Very solid diner! The owner, Nate, is kind and attentive.

Wow! How have I lived in Cowlitz County my whole life and not know this little place existed?1? Definitely a must if you live anywhere near here. A great friendly staff, great food, and decent prices! "ORDER UP!" Haden't heard that in a while from the back of a kitchen. The walls are covered with photos of their military family and friends. I had a burger that didn't dissapoint, and my husband had biscuits and gravy that were homemade and delicious. We'll be back to try some other menu items! :)

First off let me say I love the decor of this place! I felt like I was in someone's home. Our server and maybe the owner?...Nate was AMAZING! He was so charming and cute. He made my friends and I felt like old customers and we'd been going there forever. The food was very delicious home cooking. The strawberry cheesecake pancakes were out of this world. I will definitely stop here again on my next trip to Portland!

Excellent service, friendly family-oriented staff. 10% off for US Military and Men and Women of Service, and the best Desert Storm/Desert Shield poster you've never seen. If you like 70's soft rock, and late breakfast - you just found heaven only 25 miles north of Portland.

This place is great! Good food & great service at a fair price too. The place is small but cozy with friendly service. They make you feel very welcome and serve food that is fresh and plenty of it! Can't say enough good about this place. It is a must try even if you have to drive a way to get there! Y'all come!

I second the first review. This place is small, but the food and atmosphere make up for it. So far, I've only had breakfast but I've not been disappointed yet. Nice portion sizes and very reasonable prices make it a really great addition to the small town of Woodland. It is run by a family and by the time you leave, you feel like you are one of them. Skip the other old standbys and give this place a try. You'll be glad you did.

I know, I know 5 stars is a little much... but when we're talking about Woodland Washington, I don't think so. This little place opened up a couple of weeks ago, and has been consistently full. I think it shows how much people were waiting for a place that gives you great value, service and has a feel like you just stopped at your Aunts place for a memorable breakfast. I have been here three times and plan to go back soon. They open at 5:30am for breakfast and close at 3:00pm. After the holidays they are planning to open for dinner. If you're traveling down I-5 and were thinking of stopping for breakfast at the landmark Oaktree, just drive a couple more blocks east and give this place a try. You will thank me later! This is, AS GOOD AS IT GETS, in Woodland!

When I walk into America's Family Restaurant I could have mistaken it for my grandma dining room. I was welcomed right in and promptly taken care of, given a charming menu with such descriptive titles as Britney's can't decide, or Sebastian's breakfast bowl ( I highly recommend). I was overwhelmed with great service, my water or coffee never went dry. My food was given to me in a timely manner, and it was wonderful. All in all this was a great breakfast experience, don't pass this little gem. A welcome throw back to 1950's where customer service, quality meals was the staple.

A great day for a motorcycle ride. So headed up to Woodland to try this place out. Don't be deceived by the appearance outside. The food was great, along with great customer service. GPS fans beware. The are located on the East side of I5, on the way to Cougar. My GPS had me heading West. Give this place a try!!
