Stopped here for lunch on our way back to Seattle from doing Hood River winery tours. An excellent experience! The bacon cheddar biscuits are light fluffy pieces of heaven and the wild boar gravy was what dreams are made of. Generous wine and champagne pours! A great end to an excellent weekend!

OurBar biscuit was great! They brew Roseline coffee which was delicious. This looks like an up and coming hotspot for Washougal. It's right across the street from Amnesia Brewing. They should consider adding some outdoor seats as the weather is warming up.

Great little place! But I wish they would finally get it together and put some vegan options up on that board. Small selection for those that do not kill animals or their secretions. My friends always get the yakisoba noodles (vegetarian) and the pancakes. I've tried both and they are both very good!

Our Bar rocks! Thanks for being such a 'corner stone' of our downtown Washougal community. Keep doing what you do best. Make It A Great Day...

Our Bar was great! Great beermosa! Delicious sandwiches! Patty melt and tuna melt was fantastic!

We really liked OurBar. We ordered a side of pork belly and laughed because we thought it tasted a lot like rotisserie chicken :) I ordered the egg and potato which was really good. It was more potato than egg, but I would definitely order it again. My lifetime boyfriend ordered the french toast. He said it was good, but that he likes the french toast over at Natalie's in Camas more (crispy outside, softer inside; whereas OurBar was sort of crispy throughout). We shall return!

Awesome!!! Passing through and saw the reviews and Did Not disappoint. There were 7 of us and we had great craft beer and the best sandwiches. From the tuna melt to the steak sandwich to the patty melt and salmon burger all perfect!!!

Our family decided to venture out to Washougal and eat at Our Bar after church today. We have heard great things about their menu and ambiance and they were right! You will notice that we only have two photos, but we ordered 4 meals. Some people couldn't wait to dig in! I had the potato pattie topped with an egg and a dude if pork belly. It was seriously so delicious! My husband and I consider ourselves foodies and we enjoy unique flavor combos. You will get that here! It's a smaller establishment but they have a larger seating option for groups of 12ish. The decor reminds me of Country Cat in Portland which is one of my favorite restaurants. It's a great family-friendly establishment that also has adult beverage options.

Food is very good and right amount of food for your health. Bring smile and happiness will help you enjoy food more.

Amazing little restaurant! Great food, very upfront with how food is to be ordered. The staff is friendly and I had a beermosa that was very tasty. Try the biscuits and gravy it's fantastic!!!

Great food, friendly service! I had the broccoli quiche and salad for brunch. Delicious!

Hubby and I went here Saturday the 1st. Guys working were nice. I had pulled pork sandwich...which actually gets 4 stars. The side salad was incredibly bitter. I didn't care for it but hubby did lol.

  • Adam B.

I can't say enough about the breakfast here, it's fantastic. I had the potato and egg (over medium). It was absolutely delicious and only $5! Come for the great food, enjoy the friendly staff and stay for the cool atmosphere and beer on tap.

Was so excited to try the biscuits and gravy, it was terrible. Super hard, almost break your teeth biscuit, and not a good flavored gravy. So disappointed. Tried some other things on my next visit, and was not a fan of any of it. Also, the owners seem like total snobs, and are rude, when they want and choose to be. Very off putting. Didn't really feel welcome there.

Worst service ever! Been to fast food chains with better customer service than this place. Hippie manager wont allow tables to be moved to accommodate larger parties and displays arrogant attitude toward customers. Management needs to be completely overhauled and re-trained on customer satisfaction (lack of professionalism and integrity). Glad that we took our business instead of supporting a deadend restaurants like this one. I grew up in Washougal and will never recommend "Ourbar" to any colleagues or business associates. Should be renamed to "Mybar" by the display of selfish attitudes and pathetic service. Hopefully the management can learn how to treat the customers with respect and learn from their mistakes.

Pretty good! I had the bowl with noodles and spicy steak. It came quick, hot, fresh and tasty...just the way I like it. If in the area try out this not ordinary spot

We love this place! We always make a stop here when visiting family in Oregon on our drive from Seattle. The food is fresh, delicious, and made with love. It's a great space to relax in. And the service is friendly.

We have been here couple of times for breakfast/brunch. Great place.

  • Nathan S.

I have come here both with family and with my girlfriend a couple times now for breakfast. The menu is small in the morning, but the portions are perfect, the flavor is superb, and the atmosphere is refreshing. It's so nice to find a good morning spot on this side of the river! I drive from Vancouver west side and it's always worth it!

Love this place. The food is beyond amazing. Must try! My favorite is the Our Bar Bowl with Salmon and Rice. OMG soooo good. Probably something I could make at home but its so worth the $11! I even live on the other side of town and any chance I get, I go to Our Bar. I tried the breakfast sandwich last week with chorizo (they were sold out of the Our Bar Bowl). Also amazing! Their sandwiches (tuna or patty melt) also good. They come with a nice light salad with yummy dressing. Very nice service, great décor. It's a little vintage, hipster-ish inside. All different antique tables and plates. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent Brunch/Breakfast!! The decor and ambience was a welcome and refreshing look for the location!! We were warmly greeted and welcomed by friendly and efficient staff. I ordered the Pork Belly Hash with horseradish potatoes and died egg. The egg was cooked perfectly and placed on top of the pork belly hash. The potatoes had a crispy skin , yet a moist and tender flesh. The pork belly was crispy and flavorful. Overall a fantastic meal! But wait there's more!! I was extremely affordable, this is what sets "Our Bar" apart from many great dinning establishments. Great food at a great price. The portions were fair. Just the amount of food that you need. Fantastic!

Very few choices in downtown Washougal, so very happy that one of them is OurBar! I had the lamb sandwich and OMG it was lamb done right - that lamb was slow-cooked until it was buttah and topped with tzatziki and just yummy. The pita it rested on seemed like it had been briefly dredged in butter, which was definitely gilding the lily; I just picked the lamb off it which was more than satisfying. My food was so good I only briefly glanced at my partner's quiche - delicious crust and nice dense filling, but I was quite content with my lamb. I almost gave this restaurant four stars for the noisy room - it takes its ambiance from the typical brewpub decor with exposed everything - but in a room that size, crowded with diners, it was deafening at times. I changed it back to 5 stars, because I realized that - noise notwithstanding, we totally intend to go back again and again, as there was everything on the menu to try - we lingered at the window on the way to our car and stared at some bread on a rack that just looked delicious...

  • Shar L.

Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to try the food, they were out of rolls for most of the sandwiches that our group wanted!! This was at 1:15pm on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend! Not to impressive for a place that gets 4-5 stars. To top it of the gentleman that was waiting on us was very abrupt when answering questions, I get keeping the integrity of your food but try to accommodate your customers and be nice!

  • Todd P.

Super yummy eats, neat atmosphere, and nice people! Biscuits & gravy were EXCELLENT.... A very different twist on the traditional dish, but a very good twist! My girlfriend's huckleberry pancakes were REDIC, I could've eaten a dozen....I highly recommend this place, and will be back soon....... P.S.- try their homemade applesauce!

Our Bar Bowl with king salmon... Wish is was in a plate to better show off the delicious seasonal ingredients.

  • Diana D.

For me, Our Bar was a new experience. You help yourself to water, coffee, and tea and you bus your own tables. I guess the same as fast food but in a nice hometown style local restaurant. The food was very delicious, slightly unique, & small portion ( like we should eat in America) prices were very acceptable.

  • Rick J.

My wife and I enjoy stopping in for breakfast at OurBar. Food is very good and local. It is quality over quantity so don't expect large portions. Seating can be limited but we have never had a problem. Only complaint would be that a couple of times I have tried to go just after opening but no was there yet.

    (5)
  • Lindsay H.

Service was awful and the manager was extremely rude, we had a large group and the guy ran us out of the restaurant for moving tables together. Apparently you can't shower for a week and you must grow an abundance of arm pit hair to be accepted at this place.

Wow! The food, the books on the book shelf, the service. Flavorful, fresh, delicious!

The menu is intriguing, the atmosphere quaint. The food was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant for good wholesome farm fresh food made creatively and deliciously. Really really good!!

Great space, beautifully and simply decorated. Some of the best food I have had anywhere. The biscuits and gravy were the perfect combination of flavors from the cheese in the bread to the wild boar sausage in the gravy. We had several items from the happy hour menu as well. The stuffed dates were warm, spicy and had a perfect balance of flavor from the addition of the lamb pepperoni. The coffee was brewed to perfection! I ordered a drip and had it black. It was the perfect way to end the meal. There was literally nothing on the menu that I wouldn't order. Well done and worth the drive from anywhere! Alex and Kevin have something special in OurBar.

Visited here for the first time recently for the wife's birthday lunch and really enjoyed it. Our Bar accomplishes the goal of feeling a bit like eating over at a friend's house. It's very self-serve as you order and pay at the counter, fetch your coffee/water and bus your table, but that to me is preferable than having wait staff. The wife ordered the huckleberry pancakes and a side of scrambled eggs. The pancakes were very flavorful and fluffy, and the eggs were just perfect. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and the potato and egg. The potato and egg was awesome just like other reviewers had mentioned: a well-poached egg sitting atop a mashed potato "pancake." The biscuits were decadent as they have both cheddar and bacon baked inside. I wasn't as fond of the gravy, however, perhaps because I'm too used to sawmill gravy with biscuits. All in all it was a refreshing alternative to the normal types of eateries in Camas-Washougal and definitely a place we'll return to in the future.

  • Linda N.

Quaint little place, has a nice vibe but I think the food is mediocre. I went to lunch with a friend here the other day. I ordered the "OurBar bowl" which has some veggies, eggs, and garlic rice (I think they said it was gluten free). The bowl itself was over 80% rice, not enough veggies. I wasn't very satisfied with it.

Terrible experience and terrible service. Drove all the way from Bend, Oregon for a big disappointment!!

Save yourself the drive to portland and eat at OurBar. It's actually better than the over hyped restaurants across the river and it's so much easier. From parking to the comfortable ease of service you can't go wrong. It's Not to fancy so go ahead over in whatever your wearing. Bring your kid too. Everyone will like it. They make your food when your order so keep that in mind. Let's talk food: Huckleberry Pancakes are the perfect pancake. Crispy edges and just sweet enough. Pork belly Cuban sandwich. Homemade bread, juicy pork belly, pickles, and delicious ! Sopa de fideo. A bowl of goodness with and egg on top! The ice tea is unsweetened and fresh! Go get in your car or call in an order. Check their hours frist!

Damn, here I go again with a 5 star review. When it comes to food, it's easy to be picky. It's easy to say "You know what? The food is good, but it's crowded." or "This is decent food but the price is more Pearl than SE PDX". Well, forget it. None of that applies here. This food is off the chain. Pork Belly? Dude, seriously, forget you're vegan for a few minutes and eat it. The rest of the food? Um...yeah, it's all that good. I believe there are only two people involved in this restaurant. A nice guy (busy doing everything on the front end) and his wife (cooking). All of the food, that I've had anyway, is amazing. Like, I-hope-people-don't-find-out-about-this-place-and-it-gets-crowded amazing. And I while I don't remember the prices, I'll take that as a good thing and it was probably in line with market or slightly less. If you can get to Washougal, go here, you won't be disappointed.

Food was outstanding. We had the Pork Belly Cubano, Breakfast sandwich and our friends had the fideos. Went there with my family and a couple of friends. It's nice to finally see decent restaurant opening up in the Camas/Washougal area. We'll be back. After reading some of the other reviews about the inability to move tables I think its also important to note that the dining room is SMALL. So, if they were to get 4 large parties or so, depending on number, all the table would be occupied. So I can understand where the owner is coming from. There is a good amount of bar seats which is nice.

Found this place on yelp. Great review I check it out and it's awesome. Pork belly French Toast killer. Remind me of California great 5 restaurant.

Great food in just the right portions. The scramble and sopa de Fideo is wonderful. Of course everything is here.

The spicy steak sandwich is amazing and I love the addition of the rice bowls to the lunch menu. Affordable and very high quality food. Alex and Kevin are very attentive and the heart and soul of the operation. The pretzels are another must have and the brunch is fantastic, I like to get the biscuits and gravy. Awesome beverage choices and a good atmosphere that is nice for a date or also family friendly. So happy to be living right down the street from this gem.

The name Our Bar might make you think this is a bar that happens to serve food, but it is quite the opposite. It is indeed a restaurant and a very good one at that. (They do serve beer and wine.) This is one of my absolute favorite places to eat locally. They make everything from scratch and the food is always very very good. Its a great place to relax for breakfast, lunch or dinner and it is family friendly.By the way, if your measure of a good restaurant is how big your portions are, this is not the place for you. Their portions are just right and I never walk away hungry. My favorite for breakfast is the cheddar bacon biscuits and wild boar gravy. It is hands down the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had anywhere. Their menu is not big, but they do everything well which is what counts.

This is a delightful little place in Washougal. We went for brunch which is served 9-12. The coffee was made to order ($2) and was good but a little on the bitter side for my taste. I ordered Biscuits and Gravy ($7) which were delicious! The two biscuits were cooked to a beautiful golden brown with chunks of crispy, smoky bacon. The wild boar gravy was served in a little dish for dipping or pouring on your biscuits, and was very tasty. It's not your traditional creamy breakfast gravy. My breakfast mate ordered the egg and potato ($5). It was a fried egg served on a potato cake. He said it was very good! Dishes are small, which I quite prefer! I thought they were perfectly sized. Also, tax is included in the prices! Service was slow but very friendly staff! It's a fairly small restaurant and its cozy and inviting. I would definitely go back, especially to try their other meal times.

I really enjoyed the spicy steak sandwich. Definitely upgrade for the Caesar salad. It's delicious. Can't wait to go back to try more on the menu. I wish they were open for dinner and Saturday breakfast.

We brought family from out of town to have breakfast here on a special birthday. We left and will not come back because of deplorable service and attitude of the operator. We had a party of eight, and although there were a number of tables open, their one table for eight was occupied. When we requested to put two tables for four together the operator said no, and that he held those for smaller groups (there were a number of spots available for smaller groups). He told us we could wait for the big table to leave. This makes no sense to us since eight people eating is just as much business as two groups of four! After we waited for a while and the big table stayed filled and all the empty tables sat empty, I told the operator that we would be taking our business elsewhere. Not only did he not apologize for any inability to help us, he acted defensively and very rudely! In essence told us "fine" and go somewhere else. We did. In our opinion the attitude and horrible customer service way override and diminish their recipes which are decent, but not exceptional, and certainly not worth putting up with poor and antagonistic customer service!

This has become our regular lunch spot in town. It's so inviting and cozy inside, and you can tell the menu is very well thought. Every dish I've tried has been a great balance of flavor and texture. All the ingredients taste fresh and tenderly prepared. My husband likes the steak sand, and I like the pulled pork. We both love the coffee. We're actually on our way there right now, but I realized I hadn't taken the time to rave about my favorite place!

Love this spot for a casual but interesting breakfast. Menu provides great portions where you don't feel incredibly guilty afterward, coffee is great and it's cozy inside. Neighborhood gem!

  • Jill G.

Biscuits and gravy were good and homemade, I'm not sure if they had country gravy as an option but I think I'd prefer that. The huckleberry pancakes were great! Just a very interesting place, you'll have to come and see for yourself to get the feel

Just went to Our Bar for the first time on Sunday. I had the turkey patty melt...sooo good! Other people at our table had the biscuits and gravy,(homemade cheesy biscuits, yumm!), French toast, and the potato cake with fried egg on top. We all sampled each-other's meals and I can honestly say all the dishes were excellent and the prices were very affordable. A must visit!!

This place is a gem, such a pleasant environment and nice owners. The food is very fresh and the fresh baked bread is yummy. Coffee is good and free refills. I would absolutely go back again when I am in town.

I live 40 minutes from this restaurant. I live in Portland. But this place is so good that I drive to go to it at least once a month. Everything they serve is amazing, affordable and healthy. They use local farms. They also have great coffee.

  • Paul D.

Great food and prices and the owners Alex and Kevin are awesome. You won't find a better place to eat. Theirs prices are fantastic and the food quality is the best. You won't be disappointed. Give them a try and you'll be hooked and keep coming back for more.

  • Mike T.

So I came back even though I said I wouldn't because the service we received when we had a group of 6 was bad. Today I noticed they had 2 tables that seat 6 or more... THANK YOU. As always the food was great!

Just finished up the greatest brunch of all time here at Our Bar. Words cannot describe how delicious everything we ate was. There were 5 people in our party, we tried a lot of stuff on the menu. The sopa de fideos (sp?) was to die for--a lamb dish topped with a fried egg, the huckleberry pancakes were out of this world, the biscuits and gravy were delicious. Wow is all I can say. I will be back again and again. Two huge thumbs up Our Bar

  • Jennifer S.

Went for brunch this past Saturday, the feel inside is warm and inviting, plus large windows make it bright and open. The huckleberry pancakes I had were amazing, some of the best pancakes I've ever eaten! Pork belly was deliciously tender with the perfect amount of fat to meat and salty crispy around the edges. The lamb sandwich my friend had was delicious as well, large portion of lamb, flavorful sauce and tasty pickled onions. I would highly recommend this restaurant, the service and feel plus amazing food make it an awesome destination when in Washougal, or a great reason to go to Washougal as well!

My husband and I used to look for new and unique restaurants, usually found in Portland. Since finding Our Bar, we don't venture far from home. There is always something new, exciting and savory for me at Our Bar. This restaurant is a secret gem in our little town.

This place is great! Nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly owners and incredibly creative food. Biscuits are made with bacon and are so good I wanted to take a dozen home. Very reasonable prices and good selection. Very clean and an open kitchen so you can see what's happening. Highly recommend this place.

I come here often and leave pleased every time. That being said, it's always great when Alex and Kevin continue to exceed my expectations. Today I had the granola and yogurt which is always a great way to soothe the stomach from the prior nights indulgence. I also had the broccoli, mushroom and cheddar scramble which could very well be the best I've ever had. Alex's secret technique for fluffing the eggs makes them so soft, they literally melt in your mouth. Way to go guys! You have topped yourselves yet again!

Trendy hipster shop out in little Washougal. Nice you don't have to drive to Portland. Good beer on tap, food was very good, though the menu was a bit small but has what you need.

  • Lindsey G.

This place is ok. The food is fine, but I think they go a little crazy trying to marry too many flavors together. I read about the chicken salad sandwich so I gave it a try. The sandwich had hardly any chicken salad in it, the bacon was chewy, and there was some sort of wine or liquor undertone that didn't work with the rest of the ingredients. My dining partner had the lamb sandwich. The meat was extremely gamey and rather dry. I was going to give 4 stars in the flavor until I drank a hair from the servers beard through my straw at the end of my meal, and when I brought it to his attention, all I got was, "oh, sorry." Now I'm grossed out and don't plan to come back.

I love the food at Our Bar. Finally, a restaurant with healthy portion sizes and over the moon flavors! We are so excited to have this yummy place to enjoy. I usually do lunch, but recently tried dinner. They do the most amazing Quail. Out of this world. Up until the chicken salad sandwich had my heart..... Alex, the chef, really knows how to make anything taste like it's your favorite!

Thursday morning - the cupboards were bare - overnight guests - off to try Our Bar. We ordered 4 dishes for 2 adults and 2 very hungry kids, we shared each dish and were very very happy! French Toast with Strawberry compote and a side of maple syrup - french toast was thick cut and had a wonderful spicy hint to it. Scramble - spot on with fresh thyme, duck and potatoes Over Easy eggs on top of a potato pancake - we arm wrestled for that one! Toad in the Hole - we almost ordered a 2nd! Baked Good of the day was a spicy biscuit - not too spicy for the little ones. We had a lovely morning - the place filled up - great service, wonderful food, warm atmosphere - will be back for lunch very soon.

Stopped for brunch. Huckleberry pancakes were amazing. Crispy on the outside and full of huckleberries on the inside. SO had breakfast sandwich with chorizo and fried egg. It was delish as well. Good atmosphere.

  • Lynn V.

Pulled pork sandwich is moist, flavorful, a bit messy and HIGHLY recommended! The grilled Cuban was interestingly unconventional with pepper jack cheese and pickled jalapeño relish giving just a touch of heat. Blueberry pancakes were crisply browned, a more modest portion and well priced. Feels like a foodie hangout with a bookcase of cookbooks showcasing eclectic styles and interests.

I can't say enough GOOD about OurBar! Lucky, lucky Washougal. OurBar has become a regular meeting spot for me. Chef/Owner went to OCI, everything is fresh, and everything I've eaten has perfectly portioned, priced, seasoned and delicious! Icing on the cake; I love dessert, they only do dessert seasonally, and they (SMART business practice) pointed me to the cupcake joint just a few doors down (Wild Flour). HUMBLE professionals who care about the community! Awesome! I wish them GREAT success and will return often!

An absolute treasure to have this place in Washougal. Everything is home made with lots of locally sourced ingredients. Amazing flavors. They do breakfast, brunch and lunch. Lots of variety on the menu and constantly changing. Btw great coffee too!

  • A To The C.

This is the breakfast, lunch, happy hour and soon to be dinner place that Washougal has been waiting for. Fresh, locally sourced, farm to table style dishes that are so flavorful. I have not had a meal here that I haven't loved. The artisanal menu is always rotating, and the portions are small enough that you can try almost everything on the menu. If you like bread baked daily, farm fresh eggs, and handpicked local produce I guarantee your taste buds will not be disappointed with Our Bar.

Went by myself for a Tuesday morning breakfast (random midweek day off, awesome.) I ordered the egg dish of the day which was based on pork belly. The meal was tasty and the portion sizes appropriate. The staff/owners were friendly. The atmosphere is casual and classy; I especially like the window counters. I'm looking forward to coming back for dinner someday soon.

Great food....man can she cook! But I wish he would learn how to wait tables. Appetizers appeared after mains arrived, he was too busy yakking endlessly with the only other table there to provide decent service. My beer took so long to arrive I was wondering if he was brewing it out back. Delicious food, very lackluster service.

  • Jacob G.

Absolutely the best breakfast/lunch in the Washougal area. If you like grass fed, locally grown meat, and organic and local veggies, this is the place for you. The owners are a great friendly couple who run the place by themselves. I highly recommend Our Bar.

  • Jeff H.

I cannot believe the positive reviews from this place. I visited Our Bar with a group of friends and the food was unremarkable at best. I had a chicken salad sandwich. It had a mild fish flavor, which was perhaps the only detectable taste. Several of the group had another menu item; Potato and Egg. Sounds kinda like a scramble, but no! It was a cigarette pack sized glump of mashed potatoes with an over-easy egg on top. Again, unremarkable. The pancake breakfast was two 4" round pancakes with about a tablespoon of whipped cream. One of the photos of the food shows a sandwich cut in half, one half on top the other. In fact, only half the sandwich was served. Not just mine but all the sandwiches. The beer prices were about what I would expect from Honolulu Airport but a very small selection; $6.50 for a pint and $10 for 22 ounces. There are better choices for dining in Washougal and surrounding areas.

Excellent food. Friendly service. No, this isn't going to be large plate, dumbed-down American-sized offerings. Expect smaller portions. If you are looking for something delicious, however, look no further. People looking to catch a game and have a beer should also probably find another spot (Amnesia across the street should be what you are looking for). People wanting a locally sourced, well cooked meal? Look no further.

I've eaten here three times now. I have not ordered anything that I have not absolutely loved. The servers were quick to make recommendations, which I followed. The staff act professional, upbeat and friendly. First off - the pasta! The Chef makes homeade pasta! It melts in your mouth like a cloud. I would venture a guess that no matter what pasta you order, it's exceptional. Last week I had a fantastic lamb Sopa de Fideo. I would definitely go back for this dish. The base was basically a cut up spaghetti with an egg on top. Within the noodles was a rich tomato sauce with ground lamb, spiced perfectly with cumin, sauteed onion, jalapenos and fresh parsley. I have never had anything that tasted like this before. It was ordered for breakfast, but I would happily eat this for lunch or dinner! My husband ordered the homemade bacon biscuits with wild boar gravy (to die for!). It was a super rich and creamy gravy. The boar brings an unusual twist which I loved. The biscuits were good - large pieces of bacon cooked right in, but this also made them harder to eat. Other food that I've eaten here: lamb chops (seriously four stars!), roasted potatoes, lentil salad, beet salad, crab ravioli (OMG!), lemon tart, homemade hummus, lemon pasta... I wasn't sure if it would be a good place for kids, but when we walked in with our toddler this last time, they were quick to provide a booster seat, crayons and paper, which did the trick! The baby books were all on the bottom bookshelf and easy for our kiddo to get to. The serving sizes are rather small, but I have found myself very satisfied after each meal anyway. These guys know what they're doing. I will keep driving in from Portland for more of their culinary genius!

My wife and I had a great brunch meal here recently. To start, the restaurant has a nice homey feel to it with wooden tables and chairs and the walls are decorated with a large variety of knick knacks, including the clever sign that reads 'Take care of the Earth, it's the only planet with beer.' While we weren't there for the beer on this visit, we were hungry and had a few things from the menu. Started with the biscuits and gravy, which were made with a flavorful and rich wild boar gravy. The biscuits were flavorful and had both bacon and cheese in them. The gravy was served on the side, so you could add it as desired, as the biscuits were plenty good by themselves, delicious! Next up was the Pork Cubano. One of my all time favorite sandwiches, the Cuban, I have high standards for this sandwich (some may have had the one from Bunk in Portland, which is great). This one was made with thinly sliced pork belly that was incredibly flavorful and the fat properly rendered, homemade pickles, Swiss cheese, mustard, and was served on some fresh (homemade) bread. This too was great. Last we moved to the Chickpeas with Pork Loin. This was served in a bowl with nice sized chunks of very moist pork loin and smothered in a wonderfully flavorful spicy sauce. It tasted a bit Moroccan to me and had just the right amount of heat to it. I could have had the dish all to myself. Overall, this place is worth driving out of the way for, as the menu is focused on local and seasonal ingredients, so it changes frequently. I'll be sure to return next time I'm in the Vancouver/Portland area.

After a hectic morning of the forces working against us on Father's Day, we were surprised to 1. find Our Bar through a quick Internet search, and 2. get seated immediately. With our two small children and mother in tow, we proceeded to have a delicious brunch without the crowds and the wait. The wild boar gravy and biscuits were out of this world, heavily noted with sage and meaty goodness. The bacon pancakes were exactly as good as they should be, and the egg and potato stack was surprising in its both predictable but delectable flavor. Simple done right. The restaurant was filling up as we were leaving, so I'm sure this place will not remain our secret for long :). But, good on them: the owners were running and the show and despite being busy were gracious and fun to chat with. Can't wait for a reason to come back.

The owners are great, and the location is excellent. The food was so fresh and obviously made with care. I especially liked the Albacore Tuna and the Strawberry pie for desert! Totally worth the trip. We came from Portland!

You open a place called "Our Bar", which is in fact charming and inviting but is NOT a full bar and does NOT have a television which would in fact encourage gatherings which would encourage eating more for a longer period of time drinking etc....really? Do you want to succeed long term business?

We've been here a few times for brunch, it's a great new addition to what's mainly the culinary wasteland of Clark county. Portions are small, so I usually order 2 items and have loved everything so far. It's all handcrafted with passion and skill from fresh ingredients, incl. the bread and the very delicious biscuits. Very casual, warm atmosphere. I'm not sure about the name (it's not really what I'd consider a bar) but who cares. If you like the creative food scene in Portland, give these guys a try!

Bigger portions, hearty dishes....these guys just keep getting better and better. Had the special pork hash this morning for breakfast. I'm not normally a pork eater, but I knew they'd do it right. Small medallions of super tender pork, with multiple types of root veggies (including potatoes), topped with a fried egg....YUM!! No salt or pepper needed...tons of flavor from fresh herbs and their own seasoning. Can't wait to go back for the rice bowl and sandwiches!

Our bar is simply amazing, and I cannot express how happy I am there is a place that is this good. It is simple, inviting, and genius. The poor reviews on this site shouldn't be taken seriously. Order anything, it's genius.

We had lunch at Our Bar and I found it to be fresh, invigorating, and flavorful. Minus one star for smallish portions. Probably doing me a favor anyway.

Came here based on a favorable review in the Columbian, and am sure glad I did. Food is delectable and the service is personal and friendly. The serving sizes are perfect - not humungous like you find at some restaurants, and the prices are just right. I had the curry bowl and it was a unique green curry flavor that really worked. The other people in our party enjoyed the Caesar salad topped with Steelhead, and the pork belly Cuban sandwich. We all left happy and will be back. The place is a bit misnamed, however, it's not "a bar" that serves draft beer and has the game on. (They do have beer and the one I had was very good). They are not even open late in the evening, so come early.

This place is sooo yummy! We went there for lunch and were not diappointed. The owner was delightful and he was happy to answer any questions we had. The portions are a bit small but I feel the prices reflect that. Very fresh and quality ingredients used. Will be returning again.
