Los Bigotes de Villa Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Just. Wow. The food was awesome. We had a mix of quesadillas and enchiladas. All was wonderful. The green sauce for the enchiladas in particular was fantastic and the addition of pineapple in the enchilada filling was both awesome and inspired. Awesome.

We were looking for somewhere different to go for dinner when we stumbled upon this restaurant. In my attempt to order something light, I ordered the 4 tacos for $10.95 (the alternative was the wet burrito, so I consider this a success). I wanted to try a variety and ordered the cabeza, lengua, al pastor, and fish tacos. Each of the proteins were delicious and tender. The al pastor was packed with flavor and the fish (tilapia) was flaky. Each tortilla was topped with a generous portion of meat and eventually, the Asian in me told me forgo the rest of the tortillas in order to finish the protein. I washed the entire plate down with complimentary chips and salsa (with extra salsa options from the salsa bar) and a large glass of sweet horchata. My dining partner ordered the tamales which I had to try a bite of (yumm!) and we also ordered the churros for dessert; which my partner enjoyed, while I found them a little too dense. We were completely stuffed by the end of dinner. The service was great too and though they got extremely busy by the time we left, the two people working kept a smile on their face and made sure to check on us enough that we didn't feel neglected. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves. I'll definitely have to come back for their HH.

It's OK. Restaurant is clean. Semi-authentic, poorly executed. Scoop and serve meals. Carne Asada was obviously sitting in a warming container, since it was hard and salty; almost like it had been reheated to prep tacos. I am used to restaurants cooking a fresh piece of meat and chopping it up for tacos. Enchilada sauce is flavorless...maybe from a can. Beans also flavorless.. can???. Rice was OK, but cold. Chips and salsa are also from a bag and jar. For the price and the quality of the food, I don't think I will be returning. Service was good! I travel quite a bit and rely on Yelp reviews for places to eat. Sometimes they miss the mark. I don't believe these reviews are fake, I just think these people have not had good quality Mexican food.

I tried the pollo con mole special. Mole was a bit sweet, very chocolate flavored, not spicy at all. With the rice and cheese covered beans, it was quite typical.

I just spend three day in Seattle. I went two days in a row to the restaurant, it's that good. I love Mexican food and this place is one of the best Mexican food I have ever had. The place is super cute and cozy and the staff was very friendly. It felt like we were eat with family. The food is well super cheap and the portions are huge.

This place is tucked away in away from southcenter mall. We discovered it by accident. The food taste great it has the authenticity of a home cooked mexican food. Thr chips was warm when it was brought to our table. The chile relleno was flavorful amd tasty. They added a new salsa bar. Many options to burn your taste buds :)

Prompt, caring service, varied menu and good ritas....a homerun. We recommend the mole and the tamales.

Real authentic Mexican food. A good meal is expected when the customers and staff and chef are all Mexican. You know the place is legit when customers are Mexican. Carne asada and tacos are solid. I would definitely recommend this place.

My girlfriend and I decided to visit this place because we had been craving Mexican food for the past few days. Los Bigotes de Villa appealed to us because of the Yelp reviews. Upon entering, we were swiftly greeted and allowed to choose where we wanted to sit. The atmosphere was pleasant and the televisions ran local sports and WWE (probably cause it was the closest thing to lucha libre?). The complimentary chips were warm and the salsa was handmade. Our waitress was very friendly and was quick to provide suggestions whenever we asked. We got the Carnitas Plate and Marinated Pork Quesadillas. They were both delicious. We also tried the aguas frescas and thought it was awesome. The value of everything was reasonable. Would recommend if you're looking to try some Mexican food. Would definitely go again.

Came in tonight STARVING after a day of errands. Juan was the first smiley face as we walked through the door and he was also our server. I went with the carne asada again - if it ain't broke don't fix it - and hubby got the chorizo burrito. Just like last time the food was AWESOME and the service was even better. Juan was attentive, kind and quick. I hope this place continues to pick up ... it really is a wonderful restaurant. Location puts them out of the way, but they deserve all the exposure they can get. Oh and my hubby wanted me to put that they have the best Mr. Pibb too :) Till next time amigos.

My family comes here at least a couple times a month because of how amazing the food here is (especially for the price)! The food here is incredibly affordable and some of the best Mexican food I have had in the Pacific Northwest! 5 stars for sure!

Wow. Was looking for a relaxed consistent Mexican restaurant, and I've found it here. Los Bigotes de Villa has been my go-to for the last few months since moving to the area. Gustavo is the guy to ask for- he makes the best Cadillac Margarita and will adjust based on your preferences. The Enchiladas Mole are the best item I've had. The Mole sauce is above what I've had pretty much anywhere else in the southeast where I'm from. Los Bigotes is a staple for me- highly recommend. Easy to get in and always a satisfying meal + margarita! Good beer selection also.

This was a great Yelp find. My husband and I were impressed with the tacos and salsa bar. Service was helpful and attentive. I loved the tacos al pastor and chorizo, husband raved about his as well. As others have said, they load a lot of meat on the tiny tortilla and it fills you up. We'll definitely be back for tacos, and am curious about the other entrees. The strip mall location is a little unexpected, but parking was easy and its not too far from Renton and Tukwila's Southcenter area. Its just a little awkward that the office next door is a Creamation business. Try explaining that to your sister-in-law when inviting her to meet you there for dinner!

We are from San Antonio, TX. We were here for a National swim meet in Federal Way. We stayed at Homewood Suites and did a YELP search for Mexican food and found this gem. We are only here for three nights and we will be every night at this restaurant. The food is amazing but the reason we will spend our vacation nights here is Gustavo the server. Not only did he make us feel welcome..he stood behind the amazing food that made us want to come back and try.something else!!! He makes the most AMAZING mexican martini ever (try it!!) And he is VERY proud of this restaurant...and it truly is some of the BEST mexican food we have ever had!! The salsa is to die for! Can't wait for tomorrow night for the big platter sampler Gustavo recommended for our last night here!! Try it..you will LOVE it!'and...ask for Gustavo!!!

  • Kevin S.

It was a good spot. Nothing to write home about. The chips were store bought, and the salsa was super mild. Next I had the sangria which didn't have much flavor to it.... it was slightly better than water. The wet borrito with green sauce was pretty good. You could choose your meat in it, and I chose the beef tongue which was prepared well. Service was excellent and very attentive. I'll go back just because it's the best option around the hotel I routinely stay at.

Ok. The PNW mission burrito quest continues. This is the highest rated Taqueria within spittin' distance of Southcenter Mall. If the radius is expanded to Burien, it ranks #3. However I've been to the other two and was not impressed burrito-wise. It's in the strip mall across the street from Taco Bell. It's more of a sit-down restaurant than a taqueria. Clean place. Quick service. Half the customers are Spanish speaking. Futbol on the TV. Mariachi music thumping in the foreground. So far so good. Chips are stale and room temperature but they are free. House-made salsa excellent. Kind of sweet. A little runny. But very good. Thank god they also have a well stocked and clean salsa bar. And it's got the typical selections you'll find at most local taquerias (a little odd to see in a sit down place though). Salsa came in handily later. It's not a taqueria but there are four burritos on the menu. Three of which are the wet type. Not a good sign. The friendly service advises the Villa Burrito is the one delivered wrapped in foil. I order it with Chorizo. It arrives warm and pleasantly stiff. Tortilla is firm but very tender. Must be steaming the tortillas, which I prefer over grilled. First bite in and .... daymn. The bite contained 100% of the burrito's soul - meat, rice, whole beans, cheese and sour cream. But it was like the flavor volume was put on mute. Or I was suffering from sensory deprivation. About a third of the way burrowing through it the experience turned into one of just mundane satiation. To resolve I drenched it in the ranchero and spicy salsa from the bar with plenty of diced pickled jalapeños. This made it reasonably ok. But man the gut bomb to satisfaction ratio was off. All that hard exercise just for this ... By Seattle standards this is a top-quality burrito. For this reason I give them a relative rating of four stars. But what a let down. Maybe I just need to adjust my expectations.

Love this place! Being a native Southern Californian, I was looking for a legit Mexican restaurant and found exactly what I was looking for here. This place always has great service and their to go pick up is has a quick turn around time. I haven't had anything that I haven't liked. My favorite are their carnitas tacos and carnitas nachos but you probably couldn't go wrong with anything on their menu- plus they have an awesome salsa bar. Prices are reasonable too.

Based on a Yelp search and the reviews that came up, we decided to check this place out after shopping at South Center. Perhaps because of the Yelp reviews and overall stars I expected too much? But I don't get what is good about this place. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes. The restaurant is tucked away in a plaza by 7-11. As soon as we walked in, we were sort of treated as though we were a burden by the only gal working. Service was slow because it was only one waitress and a handful of diners. One thing that caught my eye was the cob web dangling from the seating area my bf was sitting at (across from me). Yuck. I ordered the pollo asada and my bf ordered the carne asada. You get chips here like you do at every Mexican restaurant, but you are charged $1.99 for anything after the first basket of chips, FYI. The salsa bar is pretty cool and this restaurant's only saving grace. You get up and grab your own salsa and they do have a variety of it... Including a slaw and the most amazing salsa verde. My chicken was moist and tender... The refried beans were kind of funky.... My bf's carne asada was not good... A little tough and under seasoned. The waitress had a really crappy demeanor and slammed our plates down. :( food is mediocre and service stinks.

I really want to give this place 2.5 stars but I am being nice because I am hoping they just had an off day. We frequent the restaurant by the same name in Federal Way and love it. The reason I am unimpressed with todays visit is the expensive Margarita served in a high ball glass (awkward) that was practically flavorless. It really just tasted like salted water, no alcohol, no lime/margarita flavor. I typically get mine blended and today was no exception. By the time I was done drinking the liquid in the glass I was left with shaved ice, very odd. Of course it had less flavor than the liquid. I ordered the enchilada mole, which was good. I enjoyed the mole sauce but the enchilada themselves were kind of boring. I get that Rice and beans are cheaper than the enchilada's, but I would rather have half the rice and beans and a third enchilada. I just felt full from the heavy beans and rice. I will continue to go to the one in Federal Way but will probably pass going here for lunch again.

Price on the menus IS NOT THE REAL PRICE, PLEASE ASK BEFORE YOU ORDER. My husband and I went to have lunch, and I ordered the Azteca Soup and the menu said around $9.95, they charged me $12.50, to make a long story short, we paid total $33.00 for soup and santa fe dish, my husband was trying to clarify with the waitress, why she was charging us more than menu prices and her only justification was that, they order new menus with new prices and they have not received it. This is so stupid they should respect what their prices are in the menu, and is not that they warn peopple about the increase of the price. SO YES, WE PAID THE NEW PRICE. MANAGER NEVER CAME OUT TO HELP US. NEVER COMING BACK.

Had a decent meal here. $11 for a Cadillac margarita seems a bit steep for a Tukwila strip mall, but it did the trick. Close proximity to SeaTac without having to deal with mediocre Southcenter restaurant scene. Salsa verde was muy Bueno! Thought it was funny I got carded and my bf did not...added an extra star for that;)

So here I sit at 6:30pm, the only customer in the restaurant. The waiter has been in the back most of the time. I can hear him talking to others in back. I had to flag him down to get a refill on my soda. Then I had to wait several minutes with my credit card on the table before I got my bill. The food was great. I enjoyed the pollo en mole. The salsa bar is great. I just can't overcome the poor service.

I've passed this place so many times but never went until the other day for an early dinner. We were the only folks there at first. The service was really friendly but a little show at first. Then the chips and salsa showed up. Soooooo worth the wait. Then our waiter went to the salsa bar and brought us samples of everything, and they were all amazing! Our entrees were almost an after thought. I got the wet burrito with both the red and green sauces. My boyfriend got the camarones de crema. Both were authentic and I felt like mi abuela was in the kitchen. I can't wait to go back and try something else. I am a fan!

Yes! Discovered a taqueria closer to home. Why you should try it: a) tacos are $1.99 and they'll load them up with a satisfying pile of hot meat. I particularly like the tripas and the cabeza. The tripas (small intestines) are prepared between medium crispy and super crispy allowing the tripas to continue to cook in their own fat long enough for the exterior to crisp while still keeping the center soft and velvety. The cabeza meat, literally cow head meat mostly made of cheek, comes slightly fatty and moist - exactly how it should be made. I do want to note that one of my three visits the cabeza was dry (an off day I suppose). Lengua tacos (tongue) are also worth an honorable mention. b) the salsa bar, located near the entrance, enhances the flavor of your dishes with mild sauce to the slightly hot guacomole sauce. Also, the slaw topping is great to give that crunch to your entrees. c) FREE chips and salsa. Need I say more? I prefer the sauce from the salsa bar as opposed to red sauce that comes with the chips for more kick. d) clean, well kept restaurant and fabulous service from a server lady that's always so friendly. A drawback is that a small number of dishes are priced on the high side, namely the menudo and the flan. Other than that, I cannot see any reason not to come here.

Great little Mexican restaurant with a nice salsa bar. I eat lunch here frome time to time. Everything I have had is good. They could find better tortilla chips and the salsa that comes with the chips is nothing too write home about.

This is one of our favorite Mexican food places. We have been there several times and the food and service has always been great. I agree with a previous reviewer about Gustavo. We were served by him this last time we were there and he was GREAT! He is super attentive, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable about the menu. He is a big asset to this restaurant. We'll definitely look for him when we go back.

JUST WANTED TO UPDATE! The menu is definitely been very much improved, the tacos are delicious and so fresh its like I am visiting my mother in law and shes cooking for us! Delicous, just awesome, I really love their fresh salsa bar, it tastes fresh and its delicious and seasoned perfectly. The Camarones al Diabla is good, sauce is perfect, not that spicy for me though, I love spicy but this was maybe a 4 out of 10 on a spicy scale for me. Overall we come regularly since we live close and we will visit again!! Upon arriving in the parking lot I was like....its small? Expecting a older place but entering, the decor really wows you. It's like walking into a clean Mexican restaurant in Mexico. Bachata playing in the background, i like that. Ordered lengua, carna asada, cachetes, tripa tacos, all were really good except that they didnt even bring carne asada tacos, they just brough lengua...so we were kinda like...should we say something? we didnt. wish we did. Enchiladas were really good, sauce tastes fresh and from scratch. horchata is okay, I can make better at home. Service good. Atmosphere really pretty. and love the bachata music. Food great especially the tacos. Wet burrito didnt have much meat in it, sauce tasted similar to the enchilada sauce but it was good, not saying it was a bad thing. Ordered rice and beans for my son, it was really good and he loved it. Second time my husband visited he said the rice was hard though...so wish there was more consistency there. Overall we will probably be regulars, for the tacos and enchiladas. We like it there, tastes more homecooked mexican food.

Nummier than a muther! if you're hungry for some Mexican food, this is one of the best in town. In love with the fish tacos, wet burrito, burrito ranchero and tamle ... they use real fish in the fish taco and not some breaded freezer fish patty like some places. All the flavors really compliment one another .. lets just sum it off as a " HIGH FIVE FOR YOUR MOUTH !" I go to both places (Tukwila & Federal Way) ... food is great at both locations! :)

This is our go-to spot for Mexican. I love their tacos. The brisket, the pork and the fish are what I always get. The arroz con pollo is pretty legit too. The service can be a little slow at times but the food certainly makes up for that

Based on Ken L.'s review, I had to check out the tripe tacos at Los Bigotes de Villa. The owner tells me the restaurant's name means Pancho Villa's Moustache. The restaurant was warm and inviting with heartstring-tugging ranchera playing when I came here for lunch. Paintings of significant figures in Mexican history, including Juarez and Morelos, line one wall. The menu is extensive and it includes desayuno (breakfast). JP is going to want to try Los Bigotes since they have chilaquiles. I ordered a tripe taco and a chorizo taco, both with grilled onions. I also ordered the chicken enchilada plate. And of course, I tried the horchata. Waiting for my order, I grazed on the chips and salsa. The salsa was quite good, made with oregano. Yes, you could say I was eavesdropping, but I couldn't help but listen to the conversation of the three guys in the booth next to me. After talking about computer hardware, their conversation turned to their cats. I can imagine guys discussing the upcoming Super Bowl or politics, but no, they went on and on about their cats, what they did, where they slept, what they ate and so forth. Interesting....and very cool. My tacos were first to arrive. Boy, they were fat little buggers, just loaded with meat. Oh man, the tripe taco was amazing! Five stars! It was crispy crunchy and so delicious. It wasn't until I was mostly done that I realized that there had been an oopsie and instead of the grilled onion, the tacos came with bits of fresh onion. Oh well, but these tacos would have been dynamite with grilled onions. I also really liked the chorizo - flavorful and, just like the tripa, delightfully crispy. But I found the enchiladas okay. They came with a very quiet red sauce. I think the chicken was dark meat, which was fine, but there was just not a lot of flavor or sauce. The enchilada plate also came with a tossed salad topped with this cilantroey tomatoey stuff that I cared not to try. In addition, the plate came with decent fried beans that had been topped with delicate shavings of a white cheese. Adorning the plate were dollops of guacamole and sour cream. I'd like to try the chorizo con huevos off the breakfast menu, but I mainly think of Bigotes as a really good taqueria.

Can't figure out the rating for this place. 4.5 stars? There is nothing special about this place. We had carne asada and margaritas. The margarita was tall but weak no real flavor just some mix in a glass. The carne asada was a mid-sized portion with assorted sautéed veggies and whole beans. Nothing terrible about it. Just under seasoned which makes it all kinda flavorless. We didn't hate it but there was certainly nothing that warranted 4 stars for sure.

My wife and I found this place here on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We have been to Mexico many times and know what authentic Mexican food is. Los Bigotes de Villa really delivered. We had their Sangria which was great and their Mocajetes for two which was as good as gets. Perfectly grilled Carne Asada, shrimp, chicken, onions and cactus with a great sauce, rice, beans, cheese and avacado served in a hot stone bowl. After our main course we had fried ice cream for dessert which was delicious. We will definitely be back!

The atmosphere is bright and lively looking. When we came in the waitress greeted us warmly. She presented the menu and offered some drinks. The appetizer came with the meal chicken quesadilla. I got two shrimp tacos but they had a spivey sauce on them. I do not like spivey but it did not say so on the menu, it is a Mexican restaurant and I should have asked, not their fault. The waitress was prompt and very nice. However, she disappeared at some point during the meal. My husband wanted more tortillas with his fajita but we could not find her anywhere nor did she check back with us. He wound up eating the rest of his meal without them figuring by the time she came back and warmed them up it was not going to be worth it. Over all it was a good experience just shy of five star.

It's hard to find, or see this place if you don't know it's there. It's tucked away in a little strip mall on the northwest corner of the busy intersection of Strander and West Valley. I knew it was there because I was in the mood for some great nachos and I was in Tukwila. Yelp had this place at the top of the list. And there I went... The kid that sat me down and waited on me was great. He answered all of my questions and was very attentive throughout the meal. The restaurant is nicely furnished and there is a t.v. on the wall that appeared to be tuned into a Spanish-speaking ESPN or something. It was all about soccer while I was there. I had the Villa nachos with pork carnitas as my choice of meat topping. It also came with sour cream and guacamole. It was soooo good. Smothered in cheese, it was a mountain of chips and meat. This place had a large menu, and I will definitely be back to explore the rest of it. If you're craving nachos in Tukwila, this is without a doubt the place to go.

This is my second time here. My first time was a to-go. This time I dined in. Great, friendly service. I went with the recommendation of the server and had three tacos: marinated pork, brisket, and chicken/cheese. Amazingly delicious and tender and fresh and hot.

Yummy in my tummy!! My favs are the chicken wrap, shrimp quesadilla, tacos de lengua, and tortilla soup. Delicious flan. They've never disappointed. The quemada salsa at the salsa bar is perfect. Any kind of meat I get always tastes good.

The food was really good with a large menu selection. They have a salsa bar with a nice selection of heat. I had the shrimp quesadilla and my husband had the chicken enchiladas, both we're yummy. We had no alcohol drinks and with a tip we spent just over $30.

My girlfriend works in the same little complex as this place and when I called to ask if she wanted lunch, she said we should try out the place a few doors down. So I met her out front, we walk in, get seated fairly quickly and begin to scour the menus. The lady serving us asked if we wanted any water or drinks to start off with and we both opted for water. She walked off to fetch those and after looking over the menu a few times, we decided to try out the nachos and since it was lunch time, we figured we'd split one. When the lady brought us back our waters, we asked her how big the nachos were and she said they were nice size and said we would be fine splitting one and even offered to split the nachos in half and bring out two smaller versions. We went for the single plate and started sipping on our waters and asking about our days and munching on chips and salsa (which were great!). Before I get into the nachos. I'll mention that the water was nice and didn't taste super "tap watery", which is huge for me since I generally drink water and I can't stand it when it shows up tasting like it came from a drinking fountain. I realize it's tough to avoid, but it's refreshing (heh) when it's so yummy! So after what seems like 15-20 minutes, our nachos show up. I kinda felt like for the amount of people inside (one other family of four), it shouldn't have taken as long as it did and if they hadn't taken so long, this would be a five star review for sure. Anyways, the Nachos! I had to capitalize that because these were good. VERY good! Top three nachos I've ever gotten. I'm not 100% sure why, but the price, the size and the taste were all working with each other and that makes me super happy inside. All kidding aside, these were awesome. Nice helpings of sour cream and guacamole, refried beans (not always a good thing, but it worked here) and lots of cheese. Borderline too much, but I was okay with it on this day for whatever reason. So yeah, great visit. A little slow and I had to get back on the road before she could even bring the check (I'll get in next time babe, heh), so I'm not entirely sure how long it took her, but my portion of the visit was four stars for me!

So... I'm sure the test of time has been difficult. It sure seems like it. I have been back several times since my original review and have had good experiences. Today's experience was not as memorable as the last. I am a Taco guy and if the meat in the taco has less flavor than a tire that's a bad sign. The carnitas at least had a little (I emphasize little) salt and less of the other normal spices. It was bland as hell and I would rather eat the brim of my hat. The cabeza tacos that I loved the last time were loaded with fat and not braised properly. It tasted like it was basted in 10 day old grease. The horchata was great. I'm not sure if there will be a return trip next time we make the trip to Seattle. I've gotta go chew on some shoe leather to get the taste out of my mouth. Bye for now.

A friend called me up last night and said he was in the mood for Mexican. So of course I looked on Yelp for places by the the mall. This place had 4 stars so we gave it a try. One issue is the sign Los Bigotes de Villa is in such small letters you couldn't see it from the street but then "Mexican Restaurant" is in huge letters. I had to drive right by it in the parking lot to read the sign. When we arrived there was just one couple. My friend noticed that the guacamole was $3.95 and he mentioned how expensive it was. So he tried it to see if he thought it would be worth the price. He said he was thoroughly impressed and if he wanted more he'd be willing to pay that price again for another one. He had the steak or chicken fajitas. He said it was noticeably better than other restaurants. I got the beef (ground beef) nachos. They were good but not that much flavor. I'm not going to take any points away from that because there was plenty of cheese and all the other ingredients I had on the nachos. We also received very good service with a smile. They also have multiple types of salsa on ice near the front so you can up and get as much as you want with the free tortilla chips.

I live in California, so when I'm in the Seattle area what do I do? Go to a Mexican restaurant. Probably not the best idea, but this place would hold their own even in the LA or San Diego area. The salsas were good, I have no complaints about the entree I ordered and the refried beans tasted authentic. That ends my review so do not read any further as it contains a silly story and some personal feelings. So, I ordered the tricolor plate which comes with a chile relleno, tamale, and enchilada. I requested they substitute the salsa verde with their salsa mole on the enchilada and they were happy to oblige. When the plate arrived I realized what atrocity I had just committed. The chile relleno was covered in red sauce, the tamale in a white cream sauce and there was the dark brown mole on the enchilada which would have been green had I not made that substitution. I had just defaced the Mexican flag with dark brown salsa mole. I felt sad for a minute before I dove into the savory chocolatey mole sauce. The end.

I saw all the great reviews and was looking forward to coming here on my lunch break. :-[ The table I was seated at still had garbage left from the last group. The chips were stale. I ordered the huevos rancheros and it was really bland. It also said it came with rice but it didn't arrive with any. The waitress asked if I wanted corn or flour tortillas and I said flour but she brought corn anyway. My total was $8.71. I gave her a $20 and she brought me back $8.70 in change.

For the life of me I can't figure out why this place isn't busier because it is really good. My husband and I have never had a bad meal. Love the salsa bar and guacamole!

service was quick and efficient. chicken tacos.stuffed with meat but it was so dry it was stuck between my. heels n gums lol the beans n rice were not what I'm used to i guess. not every one cooks the same and that's fine. actually that's great and as far as the salsa goes there is no one right salsa it is traditional in Mexico to have a salsa bar with something for everyone.not everyone prefers Pico de guillo

Was in the area, picking up dog food at Costco and wanted something to pickup to take home for dinner. Searched Yelp for places in the area & found Los Bigotes de Villa. It was very empty which usually makes me suspicious. Walked in and was greeted by a very friendly waitress/hostess. The restaurant was smaller, clean and had interesting, authentic Mexican decor. Bathrooms were super clean which is a pet peeve. We ordered beer while we waited for our carry out and were brought chips and salsa. Salsa was yummy! Great flavor. It was a bit of a wait for the food as it was prepared fresh so probably not the best place to come if you have an hour lunch or time limit. The service was excellent and happily left more than 20% tip, which I usually don't do on a carry out order. I ordered the Enchiladas with green sauce and my mom ordered the Arroz Con Pollo. We also ordered a beef burrito for my son. Both were very delicious. Both had very good flavor. Tasted fresh & homemade. Very much authentic Mexican. My son ate more than usual for a non-home cooked meal. The beef in his burrito was more like steak. He enjoyed it and it was a generous amount. Can't wait to take my husband here as he is not used to American-Mexican food and hasn't been happy since arriving to the states. We will be back! Our new Mexican food spot - although it's a good 20 min drive from home.

Don't let the unassuming appearance of the strip mall facade fool you. You wander in and are seated and start to sway to the piped in latin music. Briefly, you gaze wondering at who the Mexican heros painted into the decor are and start to google them with gratifying results. The chips and salsa arrive and they're good. Good mexican beer selection too. Then the huge platters of food come..... Amigo, this is about as good as Mexican food gets--Fantastico! The Carne Asada and Shrimp (camarrones) a la Diabla were both excellent! I wish I lived here and could try everything on the menu. If you do I envy you! The food is very authentic and the service wonderful--for our visit--thanks to Sonja who is very attentive and has wonderful presence in the room. Five stars? This place deserves every one of them! We saw 10 reviews like that and had to see what a 5 star place was like. I've honestly never been in one that had more than 1-2 reviews. I mean 4 on yelp after 10 reviews is awesome. 4.5 is a place not to be missed. 5? almost unheard of. I hope they keep up the food and service because this place is special. We will come back as soon as possible!

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've eaten at. I had the tamale and the green sauce was very flavorful and the entire meal tasted like it was made skillfully and with high quality ingredients. The ambiance is nice too with a faux Mexican theme including murals. Service was decent as well. For desert we split a flan which was served in a fancy plate decorated with chocolate sauce and whip cream. The portions are on the larger size but if you are hungry like we were its a perfect size. Update 4/17/2025: had some of the tastiest green sauce on tamales ever today. Gustavo was very nice and helpful with recommendations and whipped up a delicious pair of margaritas for us!

Great food and great service! I know the location may not be the best (small strip mall). However, I highly recommend this place! I've eaten at some very authentic Mexican restaurants in the southwest, and this place is every bit as good. The wait staff is knowledgeable about the menu and can make good recommendations. The food is fresh, not greasy, and incredibly tasty! I plan on eating here again very soon! Keep up the good work guys!

Another great meal as we said goodbye to a friend before going to the airport. Portion sizes are large and tasty. Food is made to order and they can make it spicy. They sell Mexican coke. Great conversion with our server, too. We will be back.

I was looking for a good mexican restaurant near the office and began the internet research. I landed on Los Bigotas de Villa and am glad that we gave them a try. They served very good mexican food. I had the enchiladas mole with carnitas and my friend had the carne asada. Both were excellent. More of a traditional menu so you won't find chimichangas, but still a broad enough menu to have something for everyone.

I came here to meet a friend. I was immediately seated and offered a beverage, even though I was waiting for a friend. It wasn't very busy so I was nice and peaceful. The waitress seemed very nice, and she was attentive throughout my stay. She refilled my drink in reasonable time. I ordered the carne asana which tasted amazing. I will be back.

Some of the best authentic Mexican I've had in the area. Had the barbacoa (cheek) tacos as well as BBQ pork and tongue. My wife had a wet burrito. Everything was awesome. Service was good, and the game was on. So great food, service, and sports. What else could you ask for?

I dont work in tukwila very often but last time i was i craved mexican food for lunch. i chose los bigotes de villa based on the reviews and proximity to work. when i got to bigotes the place was empty but all the employees were busy with call in orders. i sat myself and waited patiently for the server. I ordered a simple burrito when the waitress came around. about a half hour after placing my order, i had eaten a whole basket of chips and two things of salsa, the waitress approached me and asked if i had ordered yet... i only have a one hour lunch and now had no time to eat. i really wanted to try based on the reviews but there are way too many options (in tukwila) for me to go back to bigotes. if i did go back i would call in my order before hand, but i wont.

Finally! Authentic Mexican food and great service!!! We were down in Tukwila on a Costco run and were looking for a new restaurant to try and found Los Bigotes via Yelp. I had driven by this this restaurant before and hadn't been to interested in trying it as it looks pretty plain jane from the outside. But the reviews on Yelp made me think we should give it a try. Wow, I was very pleasantly surprised! The chip and red salsa came as soon as we were seated and was some of the best restaurant salsa I've ever had. In addition they have an amazing salsa bar with four more salsa and other goodies, jalapeños, radishes, limes and such. The avocado salsa? (i think it was called) was the best salsa I've had since I was at an authentic taqueria Zacatecas Mexico. Not too spicy, but fresh and full of flavor! Our waitress, Edise, was amazing! She seated us right away and was very helpful. I was thinking of just ordering tortilla soup, but was also looking at the arroz con pollo. Upon Edise's suggestion I went with the later. My boyfriend decided on three small tacos; tilapia, pork and lengua. We also ended up ordering the chorizo-cheese dip, guacamole and a side of rice and beans. It was a TON of food to say the least. My arroz con pollo was probably the best I've ever had. Supppppper flavorful and lots of mushrooms and chicken (I had asked for extra mushrooms). My boyfriends tacos were regular size small little corn tortilla shells (two each) but a very generous amount of meat on each one. (I'm used to those crappy little taco stand that give you two taco shells per taco, but skimp out on the meat). I didn't get to try them but he seemed quite happy with them. All the food was very authentic and not some Americans attempt at Mexican, which I was thankful for. Edise checked in on a frequently, but not annoyingly so. She made sure that we had everything we wanted and was very friendly. (And she had great suggestions on the food!!!) I would recommend anyone to give this place a try if you're in the area. We live in Kent and will defiantly be making the drive to come back to this restaurant again!!!

Talk about exceeding expectations. I was a bit nervous that all 6 reviewers had given FIVE stars, but guess what? It's real. Los Bigotes de Villa is authentic, delicious, and enchanting. Our waiter was refreshingly nice and helpful. This place is the real deal. Plus, after a week of traveling along the west coast, we finally found a place with reasonable prices. If you're in the area, don't miss it!

Finding places like this is why we love Yelp. We were furniture shopping in Tukwila, and we fully expected to end up at some overpriced, mediocre chain restaurant. Instead, Yelp led us here and we liked it so much that we're planning on making the extra drive down the next time we're craving Mexican. The food was very fresh, not stodgy and processed, and the salsa bar had a nice variety of salsas that you don't normally see. I ordered one of the shrimp dishes (shrimp mojo ajo, I think? but I'm not sure) and my fiance kept trying to steal them off my place; it was delicious.

Tucked away in a strip mall, this unassuming small family run Mexican restaurant offers amongst the best Mexican food I've tasted. Great atmosphere with handmade carved wooden booths and original artwork. Service from waitress Lili was prompt, friendly, and informative about the menu. The Carne Asada and Chili Relleno were excellent, the margaritas tasty, and the prices reasonable. We were only spending the night at a nearby airport hotel to catch a flight, and were so surprised and pleased to stumble upon this place. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent, authentic Mexican food. We tried the tacos (just like the ones I had in Mexico - I'd go back just for these) and Enchiladas (chicken, cheese and carne asada) everything tasted great! Generous servings, homemade guacamole, a salsa bar with numerous choices (be careful the red hot salsa is REALLY hot). And, the service was excellent. We highly recommend this place.

Despite the reviews I was quite disappointed. I used to come to this spot often when it was running under Mi Ranchon. Since it's now sold and operating as Los Bigotes there is definately a difference. New menu and new staff. I got the carne asada and my husband got the wet burrito. Carne asade dish skimmed out on the meat and definately not the true portion as to what I have been accustomed too with Mexican dishes (even the onions were burnt!). Kids didn't even enjoy the refried bean and salsa! How could you go wrong with that? Sorry Los Bigotes, I won't be coming back. Now my mission is to find where the old owners of Mi Ranchon have moved to!

We have been eating at their location in Federal Way and today ventured to the restaurant! Without a doubt, this is the best Mexican Food in the area! While we were deciding what to order, we munched on some warm chips and fresh salsa. Don't miss out on all the salsa bar...nothing out of a jar for sure. For dinner, I had the chicken fajitas that were brought out on a sizzling platter with fresh and plentiful red & green bell peppers and sweet onions that had caramelized with the heat of the cast iron platter. The garnish plate was loaded with fresh guacamole, grated white cheese, sour cream, pico de gallo, lettuce and black beans! Amazing!!!! My husband had the green chile enchiladas filled with carne asada...from the taste that I had, it was definitely fresh sauce and not out of a can! Looking forward to coming back... the cozy booth sure made it a nice evening with my honey. I only wish we could have had a margarita, but the fresh horchata was cool and refreshing. The staff is cheerful and service is pleasant.

Finally a place to try menudo! Third time is a charm since on two other occasions I have tried to dine here only to find them closed. Tonight I made it and boy was I glad that I did. Very good meal and very good service. As per tradition, the meal was introduced with fresh tortilla chips and salsa, both good but not mind blowing. I ordered "shrimp mojo ajo" which is grilled shrimp and mushrooms served with black beans, a small avocado salad and tortillas...this was pretty close to mind blowing! The shrimp and mushrooms were sauteed perfectly and were together quite tasty especially nestled in fresh, warm corn tortillas. I used the salsas from the their salsa bar and really enjoyed the roasted tomato salsa along with their verde salsa. The roasted tomato salsa was spicy but not hot and the little tomato seeds mixed with the shrimp and mushrooms was a heavenly combination. The black beans were fresh, tender and flavorful and the rice was standard. Very good meal! Lili my excellent server explained that many of the dishes originate from Mexico City and the surrounding area and that everything in the restaurant is prepared fresh. I can attest to the freshness of the meal from the salsa bar, to the tortillas, to the shrimp and mushrooms which were flavorful and not overly seasoned and/or processed. I will return to Los Bigotes de Villa and look forward to trying menudo for the first time. I have been very picky about where to have menudo for the first time and this is a great place because I know it will be fresh and authentic!

Doesn't look like much from outside, but well worth the visit! The interior is clean and bright, with nice festive Mexican decor. The server was really nice and very efficient. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the salsa bar then shared a few dishes. BBQ Pork Taco: SO good! I could have ordered a few more and called that dinner. Fish Taco: good, fresh, tasty sauce. Trio Something Entree: had a chili relleno, enchilada and a tamale accompanied by beans, rice, and guacamole, served on a huge platter. Everything on the plate was delicious! It could have fed a medium sized family, but we enjoyed it so much we nearly finished it between two of us. Great find, we'll be back someday. Just wish it was closer to home. Thank you!

We found this place through yelp since it was near our hotel. Yelp was right on ! Very good. Large portions at a good price. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and food was excellent. I got the rancheros Camerones and it came with over 12 shrimp! My husband got the tricolores which was good too. I wish I had enough stomach to get the tacos. The plaza it is in is so empty but all the cars were at this restaurant which has no obvious sign.

We found this place through yelp. We eat Mexican food regularly and we're disappointed with the food we had here today. We had two burritos, the villa and the ranchero. The serving sizes are huge, but the food is slightly bland. The sauce that came on the ranchero tasted like it had cholula in it. The pork we both has was minced up and looked like chorizo but the taste was good, however my girlfriend complained that it was burnt in hers. The chips and salsa weren't good. The salsa was way too sweet and the chips had a familiar staleness not found in fresh chips. The reason I decided to write this review was because I saw the restaurant had specifically replied to another review where the person had criticized the quality of food, qualifying their opinion by stating they grew up down south and grew up on Mexican. The restaurant responded by attacking them and claiming they like think Taco Bell is good Mexican. First of all, we need these reviews to drag your 4.5 star rating down. 4.5 stars is quite a stretch. I found 1 salsa in the salsa bar that was good and the pico de gallo was 3/5. Bottom line, take them up on their offer and go to Taco Bell and save yourself $20. As for the service, they seemed fine although we asked for water and never received any. Bottom line: this is a mediocre Mexican spot that may shine when your drunk tastebuds want large portions.

I didn't expect to find authentic Mexican dishes in Seattle, this place proved me wrong when I requested a Menudo and it was brought to me with no hominy!, the way it's originally made in the Midwestern area of Mexico, you like hominy? Get a Pozole!, leave the Menudo alone! I mean if the Menudo is bad, with too much fat or low quality meat, by all means go ahead and add up whatever you want to get a little flavor, but this was not the case in this establishment, it wasn't greasy, it had just the right condiments, it wasn't salty, it wasn't all bones and sinew, it did have a good amount of diverse tripe, librillo, panelito (casita), pata, tendon and regular tripe, clean and fresh, I came back for tacos the next day and the asada, carnitas and especially the tripas tacos are great!, the salsas are fresh and good, the only downside I could point out is that if you go when it's busy, they won't have enough people taking orders and being In a strip mall, space is reduced but for me that was not an issue, (it's just a warning for those suffering claustrophobia or those who really love their personal space) it's one of my favorite spots in Seattle.

Everything is really great: Food Price Portions Service Cleanliness English speaking staff Kid friendly TV with sports channel on My only complaint is the salsa bar. It is awesome that they have one, but nothing was really spicy. I am guessing they want to keep it mild for their non Hispanic customers(most people I see there are white and asian) I say screw people who can't handle spicy food! If you don't like spicy food don't eat Mexican food. Still the salsa bar is pretty good, I don't think there is another Mexican restaurant in the area with a salsa bar.

I went here because i was in the area and wanted Mexican food, this place had very good reviews so i tried them out. The inside of the place is nice and the booths were comfy. They don't have a huge selection because i am always surprised when a Mexican restaurant doesn't serve mole enchiladas which they didn't. The waitress was very nice and there was only one other person eating so i didn't have to wait long for the food i ordered. The food was o.k i mean to be honest the chicken didn't look like chicken but it tasted like chicken but the spices that was in the meat was pretty good. My wife had a shrimp taco and the next day she was not feeling good at all i would like to point out and it was the only not normal thing she had that day.. But other wise i wasn't impressed and will be looking at other 5 star places in the area in the future.

My family enjoyed a delicious meal tonight after a visit to nearby IKEA. Our kids really loved their kid's enchilada dish and agua fresca. Parents feasted on the a la carte tacos, El Tricolor (Relleno, Tamale, Enchilada combo), and the salsa bar. I also enjoyed the free chips-and-salsa, fútbol on two TVs, festive decor, and selection of agua fresca & cerveza. Our server Lili greeted us with a cheerful smile and service tonight -- thank you! We will be back.

Service and food was great! Tri-color was amazing as was the fried ice cream!! Norma was our server and she did the best job. Always there when we needed something. Very outgoing. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone and Norma for the server.

In the short while that this place has been at this location, they have made a solid name for themselves. The lunch rush is nuts and the food is something that can't be described unless you have been fed by a host family at least 2 hours south of the border. You won't find combo plates with tacos and enchiladas, but you will find some of the tenderest, flavorful meats and homemade authentic recipes around. If you know a better place for Carne Asada, let me know, because this was 8oz of Mexicali goodness.

So I wrote a review yesterday, actually my first yelp review and then deleted it because apparently it was harsh and I started getting nasty notes from people. However I stand by my opinion and will just state the facts. A coworker and I went here after being referred by other co-workers that enjoy the food and how convenient it is to work. I ordered the Chef's special of three tacos, one pork, chicken, and beef. My co-worker ordered the wet burrito with green sauce and chicken. They also brought our food out separate which isn't good for a restaurant. The chips were stale in taste and didn't appear to be made fresh onsite. The salsa tasted like it was from a jar. As for my taco's I was not happy at all. I specifically ordered the 3 types so I would know which one I liked more and possibly order them if I returned. The meat tasted like it was also canned and not fresh, especially the pork and the beef appeared and tasted like it had BBQ sauce on it. However my beans were pretty good and I did eat them. I told the waitress that I was not happy and I didn't like the food. She said ok and took the plate from the table. When she came back she asked if I wanted something else. I said sure how about a Cheese Quesadilla to go since I didn't have time to wait. When I got back to the office I was given a chicken quesadilla and no sauce, salsa, sour cream. So I threw it away because it was the same meat that was in my taco. I grew up in Arizona and lived 15 miles from the border and grew up on Mexican food. This is not authentic in my opinion and will not return. The place was clean, parking was easy and the staff was polite. Seems like they have the makings of a good spot, just might need to switch up the recipes or chef. I'm a huge foodie and new to Seattle and will keep searching for that special Mexican food spot!

Terrific. Carnitas, a true test of a Mexican restaurant, were moist and flavorful. The staff works very hard. I am from San Diego, so it may be a while before I get back. Please eat at this place so next time I come to Seattle, they are still here.

In two days, I've been to this place twice. I'm in the area for business and was looking for a place close to the office where I could eat dinner after work. I found this place that had good ratings, so I thought I would give it a try. I liked it so much that I returned the next day for lunch. There's to waitresses and they are both sisters, one works in the morning and the other in the evening. They are both very friendly and attentive. For dinner the first night I had arroz con pollo and a mole enchilada. The arroz con pollo was very yummy, with melted cheese on top and vegetables over Mexican rice. The Mexican rice was very good and just that made the whole dish great. The mole chicken enchilada was ok. I didn't even eat the whole thing, the mole was more on the sweeter side, it needed more spice to it. I like mole that you can taste the pepper more than the chocolate. For lunch the following day I had chilaquiles with two sunny-side-up eggs. I love chilaquiles and when I find a place that sells them I must try. I was really impressed with how good they were. They were not soggy since they are made in salsa. I wish they would have been a bit spicier but I didn't ask for it. I was not disappointed at all. The place is very clean and the decor is great. They also have a salsa bar, I tried some of their salsa and it seemed that the salsas were there most of the day. I like the taste of fresh salsa.

This is easily the best Mexican food within 15 miles of my house. They stick to a small menu of higher quality dishes, in contrast to your average Mexican restaurant around here with a six page menu of some random concoction slapped on a plate loaded with rice and beans. The steak ranchero, carne asada, and arroz con pollo are very good, with the arroz con pollo maybe being the best I've had. The salsa bar is a nice touch, and the prices are reasonable. Service is generally pretty good, during one visit, the hostess was being hit on by a creepy rude patron, and I think that threw her off her game a little bit, but otherwise the staff is very friendly, chatty, and helpful. As others have said, this restaurant is clean and fresh.

  • Registered U.

The steak asada was dry. Asked for medium. My wife's chicken, pork and beef tacos had shredded dry meat that was visually very unappealing. The salads bar was blah. The waitress was nice and gave us good service. The location was difficult to find. The sign over the door was too difficult to read. The men's room was not clean, the garbage can was overflowing and the toilet was broken and would not flush. Hopefully the kitchen is cleaner. Probably not...but then again, who knows? We are not going back.

I was in the mood for good food near my hotel, used Yelp and was intrigued by Los Bigotes and the stream of endless 5-star ratings. So I walked over to the strip mall, found Los Bigotes and sat down to an outstanding meal of "real Mexican tacos." They offer about 12 different types of tacos including fish. I tried the Al Carbon, pollo, shredded beef (forgot the Spanish name) and chorizo. All outstanding in their own right, but Los Bigotes also has a salsa bar with 4-6 fresh salsas. I tried them all and they were all delicious. Lastly, Los Bigotes offers a full selection of ice cold Mexican beers to enjoy while you eat. I downgraded one star only because they do not sell tequila. Over the years I've grown accustomed to drinking tequila with good Mexican food and miss it when it's not available. If you don't drink tequila and want fresh flavorful Mexican food, this is a 5-star experience. They have another location in Federal Way, WA. I am thinking of stopping there on my way out of town later today.

I was looking for a new place to eat lunch when I ran across this little Mexican Restaurant in Tukwila. It's kind of tucked away in a little strip mall next to 7/11. My first thought when I walked in was, wow what a cool small town Mexican vibe going on. Then I looked at the menu and it was a little different than what you normally see. Then I tasted there food and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I have been back now more than a dozen times and have never been disappointed. There lunch server Erika is wonderful, she always has a great attitude and is very accommodating all the time. Keep up the superior service Erika. I strongly recommend that you try this place out, oh and just on a cool note there are pro athletes that frequent there when they are in town.... Sincerely, Troy

The yelpers are spot on with this place. This is the real deal as far as authenticity goes. The flavor of the sauce in the Camerones Diabla is uniquely delicious. Serving size generous, salsa bar impressive. Tukwila has a fantastic Mexican restaurant. I will not eat at any other Mexican restaurant when I am in the area.

In from out of town so we thought we try it out after reading reviews.... must have been an off night. Took 10 minutes to get our beverages after the 5 minute wait at the table. I confirm that the salsa bar it's good with fresh Pico. Brisket tacos were good.

We decided to give this restaurant a try because of the location and Yelp's good reviews. The restaurant was clean. The portion sizes good. Service was slow and hit and miss as only one girl was waiting tables and the place was half full. I ordered chicken fajitas, my daughter ordered a burrito, my husband had the Tri-Color plate. All of our food looked fresh and well presented, but the food was bland. Not enough seasonings. It was just missing something. We won't be going back. It just wasn't memorable. Sorry.
