I ordered their chicken asado burrito (w/o the tortilla, guac and pico) so basically I got the chicken which is cooked on the grill and cut in pieces, with sides of rice and beans. The meat wasn't terrible but it was slightly greasy and under seasoned. The rice and beans were both in need of some serious salt, my 2 coworkers complained about the same thing. Another reviewer said her food was too salty so I think they need to get their seasoning under control. Overall, for the price and the style of Americanized mexi food, it wasn't terrible. I like that they're open 24hrs so it's a good option besides Jack in the box but if you want good Mexican food you should go somewhere else. Portions are good, food quality and taste? Not so much.

This chain of restaurants needs to seriously assess their food handling practices. Last night my family came here around 2a. I witnessed a young woman rubbing her face, picking her eyes, and touching her mouth, all while in full view of the drive thru window. If it weren't for the fact I never saw her once touch any food I would have demanded my money back. As it is I had no appetite for the dry steak and egg burrito I did receive. Literally it was a tortilla with only meat and egg; no salsa, cheese, sour cream.. Anything. Couldn't get down more than s few bites. This is my third time visiting a location of these chains and the absolute last. Three strikes, Memos is out.

I pulled into the drive thru and waited for a reply. There was none. I waited some more. Still no reply. After calling for assistance, "IS ANYONE THERE?!" "HELLO?!" A voice on the intercom says, "Oh no I'm sorry! What can I get for you?" "Enchilada meal!" I say. I pull up to the drive thru window and pay. The to-go box is heavy, meaning the portion sizes are large. My car is quickly filled with an amazing smell My mouth is salivating. All I can think of is the quickest route home, and when I get there, my taste buds begin to dance. It was the beginning of a new friendship.

Yes, Yes, Yes! Don't walk: run to Memos! Delcious food, comparable to most mexican restaurants in the area and low prices!

I'm really glad to have a place like this near where I live. We bought an Amazon local deal and were very surprised to find that they have good Mexican food. What's better is that they're open 24 hours a day. I will be going here long after the Amazon local deal is done. I believe they also have a Groupon deal floating out there. Like all good places, there is almost always a line; it's worth it though.

Three words: cheap, tasty, filling. Here's a fourth: greasy. If you're not into salty, cheesy, meaty, greasy Mexican food, steer clear of Memo's. If that sounds like your perfect meal, this might be your new go-to place for a late-night bite. Did I mention they're open 24 hours? Avoid the drive-thru: they don't have enough room for more than 3 cars and there's always a line stretching around the block. And the drive-thru service it's unacceptably slow. Just park and order inside. The chicken asado burrito and carne asada fries really hit the spot. Always a great way to end the night or just a long day at work.

Memo's Mexican Food is the kind of place you go to when you want to fulfill a craving, but you don't mind debasing yourself a little, and you certainly don't mind the extra toilet paper usage. As someone from San Diego, I have long craved the California Burrito here in Washington. So when I pulled up to Memo's shortly after they opened, I was drawn to their large sign for the "Washington Burrito", which is the aforementioned California but with a new name. Once i sank my teeth into the burrito, my mind was flooded with memories of the hole-in-the-wall taco stands I only would visit once because their food was so mediocre. The carne asada was flavorful, and tasted like the meat was marinated perfectly for 3 weeks, as the fibers literally crumbled into mush in my mouth. The potatoes were both extra crunchy and marshland soft...a perfect mix of under and overcooked. The cheese was partially melty and had that texture you can only find from getting Great Value brand shredded cheese at Walmart. On another visit, I tried their carne asada fries. This time, they use actual french fries instead of potatoes. This was by far my favorite dish in San Diego. Here at Memo's, it's slightly better than if you made it at home yourself, if only because you can get it in 5 minutes, instead of having to cook everything yourself. If I had one complaint, it was that the guacamole had too much of the avocado skin in it. While I am always a fan of eating more food that increases my digestive regularity, the presence of large chunks of avocado skin in my order made me think this might have been an accident. The carne asada fries got even better as it quickly cooled, turning into a gelatinous pile of starch, dairy and beef that could only be rivaled by the Nachos Bell Grande at Taco Bell. Finally on my most recent visit, I ordered the Crispy Beef Taco. It was served in the manner I was accustomed to in California, where the beef is put into the corn tortilla and then deep-fried. The taco was then topped with a thick layer of Great Value cheese and a healthy smattering of lettuce. It was flavorful and fattening, the perfect mix of delicious and shame. In fact, it was so good that I noticed that I had multiple oil stains on my shirt. Sure, the shirt was likely damaged forever, but I refused to let that get in the way of the taste. Once you're home, remember- the best taco shops also provide the best post-game action in your bathroom several hours later. I'm not sure if that's something my father passed down, but it sure keeps my spirits up after each time I eat at Memo's. The service is eager and friendly. Their drive thru box brings back feelings of trying to talk to someone through two cups and a string. If you have long believed that the best words are the ones that must be repeated constantly, then you will enjoy your dialogue with their staff in the drive-thru. If you are also feeling disconnected to the local club scene, they seek to bridge that gap by providing you advertisements in your bag of local parties that are coming up. Three stars for being the best reminder of San Diego that I've had in years. Minus two stars for the beef that I can't quite confirm is cow and for the fact that I also commit to a "cleanse" after each meal.

I don't really understand what they are saying most of the time, and they don't seem to understand me either, but somehow it manages to work because the food is always magical. I may not always get what I ask for but whatever I get, it's always delicious lol.

What am I doing writing reviews on Christmas Day you ask? Am I that pathetic? No. Steve works the graveyard shift so our Christmas morning will actually be in the evening when he gets up. Memo's simply caught my attention because they are open 24 hours. Tacoma is severely in short supply of 24 hour restaurants or at least open late. I did not go here right away because I wanted to research it. It seems like a location in Seattle charged an extra dollar to debit or credit cards regardless what the amount was. So I went in here with cash to avoid all that. While I avoided that problem other ones arose. I got one of their combos which was an enchilada, taco, rice and beans however their combos DO NOT include drinks! You have to buy one separately. What kind of fast food place doesn't include a drink in their combos? It sounds like bad marketing to me. The food itself is far from fantastic. The taco was decent. I will give them that but the enchilada was not very good. It was in a sauce which I can't really label other than it is "gringo" sauce meaning it is not even close to being authentic and all the wrong spices were used. The rice was ok but the beans had a odd taste to them. I decided I did not want to spend anymore money here so I went across the street to get a drink. After I got home I got severely nauseated which knocked me out for most of the afternoon and early evening. I can only blame Memo's. Next 24 hour restaurant in Tacoma please...?

Chicken was weirdly cooked, maybe from frozen, and goopy. I didn't even eat it, switched to a veggie burrito someone else ordered. Had a stomach ache afterwards. Yikes!

    (1)
  • Melanie C.

I love the food here but I am so tired of ordering a vegan burrito and getting a vegetarian one instead. Why have them on the menu if the staff can't figure it out?

    (1)
  • Sri S.

Would not use credit card here. I Charged last night and got called within 12 hrs from my credit card company about fraud charge that was stopped from Mexico excess of $2000. Some employee may have leaked my number to Mexico pronto. Wouldn't trust using your card here. Food is alright but PAY CaSh OnLy!!!

I have listened to people tell me that this place is amazing for months. With it having just recently opened in downtown Tacoma near the stadium district it is right next to my work. One of the nights when I was getting off late I decided to try it out as it is 24 hours. It's a really neat place, their food is incredibly affordable. I think that their nachos & guacamole were amazing as well which is saying something since most of the time guacamole is hit or miss. Highly suggest trying it out.

Delicious. One of the best places in town. Has a drive-thru that you shouldn't expect to move too quickly, but it's worth the wait!

Rolled tacos are delicious and fresh, their red salsa is good as homemade. This Mexican food snob is quite impressed :-)

  • Laura H.

The food is amazing. The service is horrible. The Washington burrito is as close to San Diego Mexican food you can get. However, they have NEVER ONCE gotten my order correct. Today I added guac and got sour cream instead. Check your order each time before you leave the drive they!

Great fast food Mexican! :-D I've been here twice and have had a awesome experience each time. The first time I had the carne asada fries and it was decadent. My hubby had a chicken torta and he really liked it and he's picky. I had a steak torta because it was an accident and even the next day it was delicious. It was just like my cousin used to make when he had his taco truck. The horchata is very good too. Overall terrific place with very reasonable prices.

  • Isabela M.

Tried the chicken tacos, carne asada taco, shrimp burrito, and taquitos. I wish I had saved my money and bought taco bell. The mets were very greasy and lacked seasoning (except extra salt and pepper). The price was also a little high for a fast food. Portions were large and the food smelled delicious though.

    (1)
  • Nyesha S.

Not everything is good on the menu. Actually a lot of it, is average. Not authentic or fresh at all. However, the carne asada fries are delicious! And the only reason to go here.

  • Taylor W.

I've eaten there twice and both times I either switch burritos with my dad or stepmother because they make me sick and makes me want to vomit. I think it's because it has too much oil or grease like other reviews. But one thing is for sure I will never return.

  • Laura E.

really good food! i had a steak quesadilla, and the steak was freshly grilled and it was a huge portion for only 5 bucks. i was completely full after. my boyfriend had the chicken burrito lunch special and he said it was good, but both of our meals were lacking any spice. i was expecting it to be even just a little spicy but i understand that they are trying to appeal to a mass amount of people, and not everyone likes a lot of spice. next time ill just ask for some Tabasco sauce or something. definitely going back.

Really great "chicken asado" tacos (and I should know, as a native San Diegan). Their burritos leave a little to be desired, but still pretty good considering we're in Washington. Their combo specials are a great value. They're currently featuring a great Groupon that you can show from your phone screen (you don't have to print it out). 24hr drive through... need I say more?!

  • Jo A.

Oh my gosh!! My husband & I had the most perfect food here a few days ago. We decided we are going to visit every time we come to Tacoma. I had hard shell tacos, one chicken, one beef. Shredded beef was a nice surprise, chicken perfectly seasoned & shredded; lightly deep fried corn tortilla, not the premade crap most places serve; fresh lettuce & cheese. My husband had a fish taco and a pork taco, said the fish was really fresh and the pork was crazy good. We loved the hot sauces, green and red. Seriously, the best fast food tacos available anywhere. We only wish they'd open a Memo's in Oly!!

  • Jim S.

They have many vegan and vegetarian options, the prices are good and the portions large. But the best is that the food is really good. I lunch there once or twice a week and prefer the shrimp burrito or the vegan breakfast burrito.

  • Janet R.

WTF?! I ordered a carne asada burrito and all it had in it was meat. It was literally a tortilla tube of meat! Disappointing!! There was a huge line so I thought it would be delicious :( not worth the wait!

I love Mexican food. It's my #1 choice of cuisine. Unfortunately, I can't report much on the food here. I ordered CHEESE enchiladas, TWO cheese quesadillas, 4 churros, and a diet coke, for my children and myself. I received CHICKEN enchiladas (yuck!), ONE cheese quesadilla :-(, 4 churros, and no drink (they were out of diet coke and had no other diet choices). So needless to say, I was pretty upset since I had driven quite a ways by the time I discovered this. I didn't check right away because the guy who took my order even confirmed it with me that I wanted CHEESE enchiladas. So my kids had a TINY snack (1 quesadilla to split 4 ways!) and I did without lunch. What a waste of money! The churros were excellent though. That's the only reason I'm giving more than 1 star. I don't know if I'll try again, or not. But if I do, I'll DEFINITELY check the food before I drive off!

You know how long I've been waiting for a place in Tacoma to order a simple baja-style California Burrito (Washington Burrito as it is called here) and some taquitos with guac and cheese on them? Literally A DECADE. Breakfast burritos all day. Horchata. We as a society needed this.

    (4)
  • Daniel B.

I've been here a few times and like it enough that is keep stopping. The breakfast chorizo burrito is good but I like the bean & cheese. I also liked the beef taco and tostada. The salsa is a little bland but I'm sure it's good for the locals.

BEWARE!!!!! I went on Thursday night and got the carne asada burrito. Not only was it disgusting I got FOOD POISONING!!!!! I have been sick since 2am friday til now and I only ate half the burrito. Thank God it tasted gross or I could have been dead if I ate the entire thing. I will be reporting the incident to the health department on Monday. I will never eat there again. At least I am losing weight now since I can't eat anything.

This place seems to have ripped off a chain in Oregon/SW Washington called Muchas Gracias down to the colors of trays and Styrofoam they use. I missed Muchas so much and now we have an exact copy Memos! Right down the street. The food is spot on! I am now content living in Tacoma or should I say the taco! Thank you for finally bringing some decent quick serve mexican food up north.

  • F S.

Really disappointed. All the great reviews here are the reason I chose to check this place out in the first place and it was pretty gross. NOTHING is fresh, not even the tortillas. Everything tasted like it had been made hours ago and was either frozen previously or came out of a can or bag. Their beans taste like absolutely nothing. No flavor at all. Very bland. Meat was dry and tough, tortillas were burnt and hard. Not sure what happened to all the delicious food talked about in these reviews. Maybe it was just the people they had cooking last night but everything was gross and we found two long hairs in our food. Needless to say, we threw it all out. The only thing that tasted halfway decent was the asada fries for some reason even with the gross ass meat on it. I will definitely not be returning or recomending. Just the fact that it was filthy as hell outside almost made me leave in the first place. Should have went with my first impression and saved my 40 bucks. I can just imagine what their sanitation practices are inside. I'm on my way with their hair and my receipt to attempt a refund. maybe I should bring these guys some hair nets and gloves before they make somebody sick. I'd rather eat taco Bell and that's not even real Mexican food. If your looking for good Mexican food go to Riconsito. I've never been let down there. Only reason I went to memos is Riconsito was closed. But they're open really late into the morning on the weekend. Don't waste your money at memos. This place sucks..

  • Rae K.

The problem? Poor customer service. I don't even know how their food tastes because I asked for my money back. I went through the drive thru and ordered several items. I spoke slowly and clearly. When the girl (no matter how old she is, her attitude was that of a teenager) repeated my order back to me, she spoke so quickly I couldn't tell if she had gotten everything. I tried to ask her to repeat herself but she spoke over me to tell me my total. I stopped her and explained that I couldn't verify my order because she was speaking too quickly (mind you, she spoke English) and had her repeat my order again. Sure enough she missed a burrito. I told her the mistake and tried to explain, again, that she was speaking too quickly and was not listening to what I was saying. She jumped over me, again, to tell me my total. When I got to the window and she came to collect my money, I tried to do the helpful thing and explain to her that because she spoke too quickly, she almost missed part of my order and that as a first time customer, it did not make a good impression. She told me "I always repeat the orders back". I said "Yes, and that was the problem. You didn't hear me ask you to slow down. I was telling you my order was incorrect and you blew through anything I had said because you weren't paying attention. I'm tempted to not come back." She looked at me, with my money still in her hand, and said "You don't need to come back if you don't want to". So I asked her to hand me my money back and drove across the street to It's Greek To Me. At least if I have a problem with someone there preventing me from placing my order, I won't receive a snippy-lipped child for an answer. I will not be back to Memo's and I would be happy to recommend several other small eateries with quality food and wonderful customer service in the sixth ave area.

Memo's is the only place around for good San Diego style mexican food. Their meat burritos only contain carne asada, carnitas or whatever you choose plus guacomole and some pico de gallo. The carne asada fries are pretty good and you can't find them anywhere else. It seems like most of the people that have written bad reviews of this place either aren't familiar with or just don't like the style. The only thing I can know this place on is they sorely need a salsa bar because they skimp on hot sauce and only have two kinds.

  • Jason M.

I wasn't really sure about this place when we first tried it, but I figured it was worth the Groupon. My wife and I were very pleasantly surprised by the food. My wife told me that this has now become her favorite Mexican restaurant in the area, and it is definitely at or near the top of my list. Prices are very reasonable. Just be ready to wait a little bit for your food because this place has become very popular.

This is a great local stop for good Mexican food. Easy drive through and huge menu. Be careful the portions are huge.

I'm not sure how this place doesn't get four star reviews minimum from anyone. I went here the first time a few days ago, and then went back a few days later. It is really close to my work and for $3.50 I was STUFFED!!! The bean and cheese burrito was amazing. The tortilla was delicious.....the chips are as good as any Mexican restaurant!!! My coworker also agreed. Is it the absolute best Mexican food I have ever had? No, but the prices are unreal and the food is way better than Taco Time or any other mexi-fast-food joint. Keep your expectations realistic people. This is FAST FOOD and it is as good as it gets. PERIOD!!!! And for the record I grew up in Texas and my family is Mexican, so I know what I am talking about. I will be going here at least once a week for lunch.

Very good beef tacos. Definitely not diet food, by the taste I think they cook with lard not vegetable oil. Also it helps to know the Spanish pronunciations of the food because the English description doesn't click with the person taking the order and you have to point the item out of the menu.

reminds me of san diego mexican food. Its pretty solid. The Cali burrito needs some work.

Being that I am from California, I have looked and looked for a burrito spot comparable to back home. I have finally found it ! Awesome food at a fantastic price. I will definately be a returning customer !

Much better than we expected. Cheap prices and above average food. Nice to have a 24 hour spot in the area for when the taco truck is closed. We had a carnitas burrito and a sausage burrito. Both were delicious and very filling. Will be going back soon. Considering they just opened it can only get better...

Got a good sized fish taco with chips and salsa and a regular sized drink for under $4! I thought the taco was really tasty and liked that it came with verde and hot sauce. Also you can grab some whole jalapeños for free to go with your meal. Definitely better than Taco Bell for 24 Mexican food and I actually ended up spending less at Memo's on what seemed to be higher quality food. Will definitely be back!

  • Anthony C.

Still longing for a California burrito but the Carne Asada burrito quells my desire for the meantime. The beef chimichanga is just ok. Bacon and egg burrito is good and filing but can be a bit of a starch overload, may need to pace yourself. I gobbled it down for breakfast after a heavy night of drinking. Nice to have a fast food mexican joint nearby that is open late after the bars close. Can you tell, I miss San Diego!?!

  • T L.

You will either love it or hate it, the reviews are pretty split. Did I like it? I had a vegetarian burrito that was alright and a shrimp taco that was disgusting. If I have to eat there again, I'd survive with the vegetarian burrito...

Watch out for wooden spikes! Memo's is conflicting; They churn out good gut fill ( a lot of it), but it seems to lack quality or love. It is a busy place. There is a niche for it. Almost everyone I know is down for a burrito when the hunger beast strikes. The bad: I ordered a chile relleno burrito, which seemed novel, only to have my palate skewered upon a wooden spike! Ouch! Their salsa tastes like unripe tomatoes and onion powder. If you order chips and salsa they put them in a styrofoam box with the salsa already on the chips (??!?). Busy people do crazy things to get through the struggle. The good: The meat is always fresh. They sell a ton of food and it is amazing to see how they do it. There is a pile of meat about a foot high on their flat grill and it goes straight into every order. They are busy and I hope that the hand washing protocol is being followed. Tightest rolled burrito I have ever mawed upon. Their carnitas are dry grilled, which is different, but makes for a good burrito. Nothing fancy here, just gut fill. They offer breakfast and 24/7 service.

First time here and it was packed at 2:30AM. My daughter and I went through the drive thru and ordered the carne asada fries with Xtra guacamole for $1.25. We paid $7.82. We received Amoy of food and it looks very well made and the first bite was "good" After a few bites, I didn't want anymore and my daughter tried a bite and sId Mmmm and took another bite and said get it away, I'm going to get sick. She didn't, but, it didn't taste right to her. It didn't leave either of us wanted to eat anymore. It did not taste bad, at all, but, it wasn't really good either. I won't order those again and I really do t see us goi g back. I just don't think it showed us enough good to warrant another visit and try something else.

They're open 24 hours, so if you get hungry at 3 am its pretty much the only place to get something decent to eat quickly. The chicken asado taco and shrimp taco I like a lot. The shrimp taco actually has a decent amount of shrimp and not gross fast food shrimp. I tend to stick to the tacos I haven't had great luck with other things on the menu. The service is never really that friendly for me. I think they get annoyed with people too easily, but for the most part its pretty standard service for a fast food place.

    (3)
  • Nathan P.

People only go here because it's always open and it's cheap. Taco Bell is under it, but Taco Time is better. Memo's will offer you large portions of bland food, they're quick, but they're not fast. University students (UWT, UPS) like it because it's not too far and it's a good amount of food, it's always an option to go here. Do not plan on staying, there's little seating room and it's always dirty. If you go inside to order, you will get secondary service as they tend to the drive thru much more. No one is enthusiastic about working here, the atmosphere sucks, the food is bland, there is no sitting room, and if you're not in the drive thru your service will be meh. Two stars for always being open. There's another one Lakewood, I know nothing of that locations accommodations or food, although I have read it is similar. Also, if you want real Mexican food, this isn't it. Not that you should expect that at a fast food place.

Calling all late night drunkies, who go on Jack in the Box binges after the bars! This is the new Jack in the Box! Open 24 hours and serves great food! From what I have read and heard from many people is that a true California burrito is this; it's basically meat and potatoes stuffed into a flour tortilla for hungry, sand-crusted surfers. The beast of a thing usually involves carne asada, French fries, a bunch of cheese, salsa fresca and of course guacamole. Well folks, Memos has come up with the "Washington Burrito" which is in fact the described California Burrito. However, it is French fries in the middle but its potatoes! I need to venture the menu though, haven't had anything else but the Washington burrito! Just want to add one other note; they cater to big groups really well! Whenever we order for our baseball team, 40 plus, they are always ready to go when we come to pick up our huge order! Overall a great place!

What better than 24/hr Mexican food! Reminds me of Phoenix, but who am I kidding this is Washington all the better Mexican food is towards the south! $5 huge chicken chimichangas! Not many other places can compete on the price and taste of the food here! Give it a try!

24 hour cheap Mexican food? Score! TACOma loves tacos :-) Memo's moved into the former location of It's Greek To Me (which is now in a larger space across the street) at the intersection of 6th Ave., Division, and Sprague-- and their tiny kitchen has been busily churning out huge portions of inexpensive Mexican grub ever since. This place has become one of my favorite lunch spots. While it's not at the same level of quality you'd expect to find at a sit-down family restaurant, this ain't no Taco Bell-- no bullshit Doritos-flavored taco shells or meat gun filler here! What Memo's menu does have is everything you'd expect to find at a full service restaurant (tacos, burritos, enchiladas, tostadas, chimichangas, quesadillas, etc.), but at about one third the price. For example, a big ass burrito is four bucks, and a combo meal with enchilada, burrito, rice & beans is just $7. That combo is basically two full meals worth of chow for less than what an appetizer would cost elsewhere. The food is good, too. Not 'terrific' or anything, but solid-- personally I find everything here to be on the bland side as served, but they're generous with the little cups of red and green salsa to help fix that issue (some like it hot, si?). it's really the value that makes this place exceptional, not the flavor (it is a fast food joint, after all). That said, the ingredients are fresh and meals are made to order so I'm not one to complain too much about not enough 'zing'. As for atmosphere: if a great 'dining experience' is what you're after, best look elsewhere. Memo's is a take out joint. There are a a few seats inside the cramped little dining area plus a couple of picnic tables outside (which is nice when the weather cooperates), but most patrons get their grub to go. Tip: check them out on Groupon. There's been a special running for quite awhile where you can get three $10 certificates for $16, or five for $25. Since their prices are already a good deal, this makes picking up a meal here DIRT CHEAP.

Super-clean, fancy, pretentious, expensive Mexican food?? NO Decent, cheap Mexican food made-to-order 24hrs a day?? Filling breakfast burritos?? Crunchy taco shells overflowing with beef, cheese and lettuce goodness?? Cheesy, meaty fries with sour cream and guacamole?? Check, check, check and ch-heck!

It's really close to a fast food chain in AZ called Filibertos. There food is ok if your looking for almost authentic Mexican food.

So so yummy and not expensive at all! Get a receipt and check your food just in case there is a miscommunication. But yum!

Alright-alright, impulsively I wanted to give Memo's a 5 star review just because I love how spontaneously random it is (for my experiences). I live literally a minute drive away and whenever I am feeling bored or spontaneous I hit up Memo's. I have been longing for a place that has "decent" Mexican food. Some might say it isn't authentic or what not but you know what? It doesn't matter as long as it suits my taste buds. Now that I think about it, what the heck, I will just give them 5 stars. "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" So far I have tried their Vegan Burrito (with salsa/Pico de Gallo on the side) and with it inside before. I prefer to have the salsa on the side and nibble on it while biting into my burrito. It gets messy when its inside the burrito (which is humongous ...) I also tried the Fish Burrito (with Mexican Salsa on the side again) and it was good. Oh, I needed the TarTar sauce on the side as well because I am trying to be health-conscious of my dietary habits. I don't "NEED" the TarTar sauce anyways. It tasted perfectly find without it and I saved myself some calories. I haven't eaten inside before but it is quite tiny inside. But do-able. The staff has always been super friendly and accommodating to my requests and even ordering separate orders through the drive-thru. I like Memo's. I like to say the word "Memo's". It's fun. I like (:

Their food is so amazing! It's the best Mexican fast food place I've ever been to. My only complaint is that there's this coupon for a free 20oz drink with any meal purchase and the lady said we had to print it out.. And t clearly says just flash it at the window. He response was that they don't have a scanner so they need the printed copy... How is that your customers problem though? If you don't have a scanner but your website said just flash it! They should have honored it regardless if printed or not. Specifically only at this Tacoma location I receive the worst customer service. I never experience bad customer service at the Seattle or Everett location. I can only assume it's because it's the area it's located in.

Let's be real. It's not top quality amazing Mexican food. It's a step up from fast food quality but barely. Fast, very cheap, greasy, 24 hours and pretty delicious. This is 2 am drunk food at its finest. Fajita burrito is tasty but messy, taquitos are great when eaten right away with sour cream and guac. Breakfast burritos are good too. Huge portions and did I mention CHEAP?

  • Brian S.

Are you kidding me? OPEN 24 HOURS!! YES drive thru Mexican food! All their food here tastes WAY better than those chain Mexican restaurants and all for a cheap price! Plus the cashiers are always super friendly! You never have to wait too long in the drive thru everything is always fresh and hot!

  • Anna M.

Delicious Mexican food. I'm not even a big Mexican food fan and I'll be coming back to this place! My boyfriend introduced me (who is Mexican) and I can't believe I haven't been before. The location is difficult and tight but so worth it! The portions are huge for the price!

Came here one night. Tried the Washington burrito. The meat had a very metallic taste to it. The fries were soggy too. It was a poor imitation of a California burrito. The tacos were a better choice. Nothin special though. If you're looking for a late night munch, sure. Make sure you're a bit tipsy. During the day... Taco time is much better. As is Taco Bell.

    (3)
  • Sarah K.

It's tasty and open all night and the people are super nice and patient, especially considering all the stoned people I see coming through here at all hours, getting confused at the menu. Solidly good tacos and combination meals. Maybe not the best Mexican place around, but if you're looking for fast, cheap, dependable So Cal style taco stand, this will definitely fit the bill. Extra star for being able to get carne asada fries or potato taquitos at three am, as God and nature intended.

Place is pretty bad. Not good Mexican food at all. Quality of meat is suspect. Just pass on this place. Its fast food and not good. Had a few burritos at different locations around WA, ends the same. Fetal position next to a tiolet seat. Parvisurrito

  • Kaylee O.

They forgot the beans on our care asada fries and the meat was more like a Mexican roast beef, but it was really good they are cheap fast and tastes like a table of truck and a taco bell had a baby. I'll be going back for sure.

Sometimes a bad meal is a good thing. It's the first of the year and it's time for me to get in shape, eat well, keep all those resolutions for at least a few weeks...Memo's is going to help me. The food is so bad that I want to eat healthier. The worst burritos I've had in quite some time - they may turn out to be the worst of the year. See the photo of the runny burrito ($5) - a particularly disgusting variety containing undrained pico de gallo. The meat in the beef chimichanga ($6) tastes canned and the shell is soggy with grease. Out of 8 items bought, only two were finished. The shrimp burrito ($5) and chicken chimicanga combo ($7) were deemed okay. The rest: steak burritos, chicken burritos and a steak and egg burrito were - to be technical - gross. Gross=soggy, salty and poorly constructed, ratio of ingredients off. Adding to the fun: the burritos were unmarked. When cut open, we couldn't easily identify most of them, again speaking badly for the product. Avoid this place unless desperate.

As good as it gets to what you would get in California! Chicken tacos are so good. The breakfast burritos are made exactly like the ones in CA. They use French fries here!!! Rice and beans are okay. A little bland. But we come here for the carne asada fries. They are legit. You won't be disappointed.

I got extremely sick from eating here, I didn't notice it until I saw it in the light but they served me rotten chicken. I know it's a cheap place but I'll never go back. Still flat on my back 2 days later.

Horrible food. Far from authentic. I'm mad I had groupons for this place I still need to use. I suppose I could give the food to someone in need.

  • Eric S.

First impression: dined inside. very dirty inside. Seating for 5 indoors; 12 outside. Service was fast. 7 bucks for a burrito and drink. No salsa bar. Apparently only one type of salsa (on the spicy side). The burrito was fine. Nothing great. I wish I had gone to the taco truck up the street instead.

  • Lucia H.

This place is so meh. Been here a couple times. The burritos are always soooo greasy. I got a carnitas burrito last night and there was legitimately grease dripping out of it... The burrito was completely meat and some funky tasting guacamole. No rice or beans or anything. So odd. The tortilla was good though! ... I mean what do you expect from a large burritio that only costs $5.03? Not coming back. I would rather spend a couple more dollars and get some quality food that doesn't sit like a rock in my stomach.

Been here several times. Liked the food, but after seeing the back door wide open with trash littering the drive through I just can't go back....

I'm writing an updated review because my experiences here have been crummy since the first few times I went. Let me recap a couple of the issues: 1-The last 3 times I have been to Memo's I have asked for a side of sour cream. The first time they forgot it. The second time they gave me a sour cream container with a quarter-sized hole in the bottom so the sour cream leaked out in the bag all over EVERYTHING. The 3rd visit I checked to make sure the container was in my bag before pulling away, and it was. When I got back to the office I opened it up and there was guacamole in it instead. I swear this place must be run by sour cream Nazis. 2-Ordered a chicken taco salad. Got to the window and was told they were out of chicken. Asked for pork instead. Was told "Never mind, we found chicken." Got to work and opened up the salad and there was literally one string of chicken, about the size of my pinky finger, and just lettuce. Nothing else on the salad that should of been on there...no beans, cheese, salsa, guac, sour cream, etc. Just a bed of lettuce with a strand of shredded chicken. It was like someone started making my salad and never finished. Awesome. This place has gone downhill in the short time they've been open. Sad...

Good, quick authentic Mexican food in Tacoma? Come to Memos. I was only able to try their carne asada soft tacos. I ordered two thinking they'd be the size of street tacos but they were actually 6" soft taco tortillas. I tried to tell myself to just eat one and save the other for after I finish writing a report for work but I couldn't stop myself. I ate both and though my taste buds were in nom nom heaven I just wanted to go into food coma heaven. Not bad for under $7 either. Fresh guac and vegetables, the beef was seasoned just right. I'll be back to try more items!

Food was great, costumer sucks! I went to the drive-thru and order my food the guys was rushing me (note there was no cars behind me whatsoever) I pull up to the window and waited to pay for my food when the guy family showed up he was on his cell phone laughing! His uniform looked all over the place as if he has just got out of bed, nonetheless he brought me my food and I asked for limes he told me there were some in the bag already and I told him there were none I checked the bag, and asked him again for limes and all he did was give me extra napkins. FYI during the whole time he was on his cell phone talking to his friend, I speak Spanish so I understood what they were saying. This was by far one of the worst costumer service experiences I've ever had.

Get the groupon for here, the service might not be speedy but the food is great and a good price if you are out on 6th ave for a late night, tacos are great especially the adobado, ask for extra Green sauce

My husband and I probably go here once or twice a month. It's probably the closest Mexican food that we have had compared to San Diego so far...it's really that good! Their bean and cheese burrito is pretty good, wish they had more cheese on it. Their Washington burrito is like the California burrito..but in Washington. Get it?! Haha. Carne asada fries are on point. :) If you enjoy almost authentic Mexican food, come here. You're in for a treat. Oh, and the employees are really friendly! That's a plus.

24 hours mexican food... see ya in 40 pounds! BOMB.COM seriouly. i work night shift so what is better then getting off at 8am and grabbing a burrito the size of a baby and some awesome nachos TOGO and then eatting yourself in a minor food coma. God bless america!

SALT SALT BABY! OH, NO, NO NO NO NO NO NO. I don't recall ordering a cup of salt in my food! I love Mexican food, and this is the most Americanized Mexican food you can find. I drive by here everyday, and I gave this place a while to work their kinks out that most new businesses experience, before I gave it a try. Their combo's don't include a drink, and how I wish that I would have ordered one, because of all the salt intake, it was just not a good meal. Their guacamole on top of their taco's is either super over processed, or fake, because it's runny, and doesn't taste like any guacamole I've ever had. The rice was not so good, and overcooked, and the beans, oh my gosh that SALT, too much! The meat was so chewy, flavorless, and salty, (surprise, surprise). I'll admit that I've raised my kids to be foodies, and when they're almost crying because they're so hungry, but can't stomach the food themselves, then you know that's really not good food at all. This was so bad that it's really not worth trying it for a second time.

  • Jennifer L.

Food was delicious, but we got sick! Went last night for the first time and my boyfriend and I shared the beef and cheese enchiladas and the chile rellenos. A few hours later my stomach began to hurt and I, ahem, let's just say I was sick to my stomach. I woke up the next morning to my boyfriend throwing up in the bathroom. It's a shame because the food was cheap and delicious! No one else got sick though, so I don't know, maybe one day we'll try again... maybe.

    (2)
  • Brittany S.

I love that they are open late and 24 hours! My favorite is the five taquitos with guac and lettuce. I give four stars because the location sucks and if the drive through gets more than two cars you are waiting in line in the street.

  • Kii S.

Total Score!! If your feeling nostalgic and looking for that So-Cal/San Diego burrito shop flavor.. Memo's is the closest thing you'll find out here in the Northwest! Since moving up here I'm always on the lookout for something that reminds me of back home.. so this fits the bill! Just got back from here and we ordered Carna Asada fries and chicken crispy taco! Both were delicious and flavorful! Great place to come for late night eats! Looking forward to coming back and trying more of what the have to offer! *** PRO TIP*** When ordering Carne Asada Fries ask for the fries to be EXTRA CRISPY so that on the drive home.. they won't be so soggy. They will still have some firmness! So GOOD!

  • Eric L.

After spending more time and money there, I've come to the conclusion that this place is good if you want grease and mediocrity. Nothing special, except that it is better than taco bell (sometimes) after a late night out. After having a breakfast burrito, I've decided that it is not that great. The steak and egg burrito was more dry steak than anything, maybe there was half an egg, but definitely no Mexican salsa as advertised. Additionally, tap water costs $1. Not recommended.

I really wanted to love this place, and I'll still probably return to give it another try - after a few bad visits. I had bought the Amazon voucher, which entitles you to $30 in food and was excited to see what Memo's was all about. My first problem was the voucher itself - they took one look at that, and suddenly their attitude changed completely. The guy who was taking my order seemed put off by the voucher, which I practically had to beg him to take - eventually pulling a grimy, filthy cardboard punch card out of his wallet, handed it to me and gruffly said "get 3 visits $10 dollars each" ... then marked out the 1st "punch" with a pen and handed it to me. The wait was LONG. I had ordered an Adobada Taco, a Shrimp Taco and a Tostada with beans and rice. When I got home, I found they had given me a Carne Asada taco, rather than an Adobada ... and it was very dry, very tough. The shrimp taco was good, so I decided I'd just order a few of them the next time around. Second visit - Used my second punch on the card and ordered Shrimp Tacos and a Tostada They were not anything like the first shrimp tacos I'd had, not even close. Evidently, a different cook was on duty that day. Still not bad, but not at all like my first visit. The beans and rice were still good and the Tostada was good but (again) COMPLETELY different than on my first visit. Again, the wait was long. I'm not in a hurry to go back, and to tell the truth, when I do - I'll probably just pay out of pocket and forget using the rest of my Amazon voucher / punch card. I don't even know when it expires, but I'm just not in a hurry to return. Everybody's told me how great this place was suppose to be, so I'm hoping I just had two bad visits - or, that another branch may live up to the hype. It is completely possible, I just caught some people on a bad day, on two visits. .....

This place is open 24 hr. It's cheaper than bar food, so if you are hungry late night or anytime of day. Great stop for fast eats... I do have to say that for fast food it was pretty slow and the fish taco was made of breaded cod.... Like the kind you get in the frozen food section. Worst fish taco I've ever had but the other food is decent. The chips they give you on the side aren't fresh but it is cheap and the asada was okay. Everything is asi-asi (so-so) about this place. Id come back if I wanted late night food another day maybe another month. I don't eat out often but when I do it's junk and fast food because that stuff is often more expensive to prepare at home. Please try this place out if you're out bar hopping and wanna hit your taco spot.

Really this place is a joke!! I no it's fast food but the old lady fucked up on my meal! Gave me back wrong change lol the funny part is.I asked for my money back I don't want the food. She told me no so In stead of chocking this lady I left. But I had all ready paid for the 3 meals. So MAD

Ordered a sausage breakfast burrito with sour cream. Took two bites and realized something was very wrong. Oil was seeping out burning my fingers. I pulled over and tipped the burrito outside my window and grease came pouring out. Needles to say totally inedible. Super sad because first few visits were great but it this is the last time I will be eating here.

I went here about 3 weeks ago and was surprised that the menu had A.) An array of choices for all different times of day (ie, bfast, lunch/dinner, dessert. B.) The prices are unbeatable. C.) It hit the spot Since my first visit I've been back numerous times without regret.. the drive thru and walk-in are prompt and I've never had a food order messed up. Tried: the fajita burrito.. slightly oily from the peppers and onions but for something that can be turned into two meals and under $5 you can't beat it.. vegetarian burrito is good. Ohh and their carnitas?? Get it while you can folks!!! Memo's has a special spot in my heart for 24 hr delish Mexican food!!!!

  • Lindsay S.

Came here for lunch for the first time today, that being said my experience was great! For fast food it was delicious. I did get the veg burrito so I can't say if the meat was bad like others, but my friend had the chicken burrito and said it was good. The service was quick and pleasant.

A new discovery in Tacoma for me! A 24 hour Mexican place. Can't be good right? Wrong! Huge portions, great prices, and good quality for a fast food restaurant. Pretty amazing. The quesadilla was huge, enough to feed two. Seriously everything is huge there. I love the red hot sauce. Very spicy and great flavor. The place is on the corner of two busy streets and the drive thru can be challenging and backed up. Be patient because they do seem to get through fast.

When it's 3 am and you feel like a burrito as big around as your arm for less than 6 bucks super high quality isn't really a reasonable expectation. Memo's gets the job done.

Not a fan of their low quality meat, but they get two stars for having a delightful vegetarian burrito available 24 hours a day via drive-thru.

We have eaten and ordered here several times, each time not as good as the first and we won't be back. The Chicken Tacos were old, not made to order, this place was great and just like so many place started strong and didn't keep up the pace or quality. Disappointing,

    (2)
  • Savannah H.

I've been here on three separate occasions and they've messed up the order every time. Everything's always correct on the receipt, but we always end up with the wrong food. Burritos are decent, but not worth the hassle anymore.

    (2)
  • Eric R.

I adore Memos they are always friendly and fast even when they are swamped. The burritos (all of them) are the best in town and super affordable. This is food that is priced like fast food but is soooo much higher in quality. I can't speak for the other menu items because we always get the burritos (fajitas is the best IMO). Pro tip: get out of your damn car and order inside. It's faster and you don't block traffic on a city street.

    (5)
  • Shirley S.

At first I was very skeptical. But they proved me wrong. The food here is decent. Its got good flavor . They were fast and friendly about it. And to top it off the prices were pretty cheap. I can definitely see myself being a regular. :-)

    (4)
  • Ramon R.

This is a great little stop if you want a big, tasty burrito for a great price. All the burritos here are under five bucks, but most taste like a million bucks! I can say from experience that probably ninety percent of the menu is good Mexican food so it's hard to go wrong here. I wouldn't suggest the fish items on the menu because they taste a little frozen but most other things taste fresh and yummy. I always get good service but the wait can be longer than expected especially at round lunch because this place is popular! Any pork or beef item is great and the chicken fajita burrito is good, but can be a little greasy. Overall, this is a nice little Mexican treat that serves up, for the most part, great food at fantastic prices.

    (4)
  • Jake N.

My expectations were moderate and were greatly exceeded. I go for the carnitas tacos on a regular basis, which have never disappointed. They're inexpensive, big, and delicious. I walk in for service every time because the drive-through seems to take a while. Everyone's first language is Spanish, which is awesome if you want good Mexican food but not as good if you're an ignorant American who thinks everyone should speak English. I'm the former, so it works out well for my taste buds.

For those lucky few who've eaten Mexican food in San Diego and crave those kind of flavors this is as close as your going to get short of driving there yourself in the Northwest. Plus those times your craving something at 2am and don't want that burger from Jack in the Box you can take that same $5 something and get yourself Carne Asada fries! Washington Burrito is a great impersonator of the California Burrito!

First off I have to say, I love breakfast burritos. My love is so strong for them I am willing to drive long distances to obtain them. I drive from Federal Way to this store regularly for the bacon breakfast burrito. I even drove once to the other restaurant they have in Seattle (prior to this one in Tacoma opening). That said, I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received here recently. We drove down 2 saturdays ago for the usual (the wife and I). When we got home we sat down and started to eat. My wife had a sausage breakfast burrito. She bit into it and nearly chipped a tooth. The sausage was so over cooked you could have broken a window with it. We called to notify them of this error. I called the number on the receipt. For the first 10 minutes every time I dialed, I got a busy signal. I kept on trying and finally it rang, but no answer. It just continued to ring. I googled them to see if there was a contact form or another #, nothing. Fast forward to this week, and Im back again for another burrito. I mean how long can you stay mad at the people who provide breakfast burritos right? So we go back, and we tell the girl at the window. She replies with an attitude, and proceeds to give us a number of excuses as to why they didn't answer, and says we need to bring the receipt. I tell her we live in federal way, and the burrito was purchased 2 weeks ago. She says I cant help you without a reciept. I said thats fine Ill bring it next time. May I speak with a manager? She replies " I am the manager" I said well then I want the owners #. She said she couldn't give that. I said well I want to speak to someone higher than you. She said he's busy. To which I replied You said you were the manger. She said no I said he's busy. So then we go into the store. Theres flys just flying around. No traps, no tape. Then she tells us that we will be waiting a while because they are busy. We waited maybe 5 minutes, and the manager comes out the back office. He offered free food next time we come, but I don't think we will be back after the way were treated and how they burned the food beyond recognition. Come to think of it, I hope it was breakfast sausage. Besides, Who argues with a customer? These guys! Stay away!

Holy... Freakin'... Burrito, people !!! This place SO reminds me of those excellent San Diego drive-thru taco shops at like 1am after a night of partying. Really really huge, cheap, filling and delicious food. Ramiro's, anyone? And the fact that they're open 24 hours a day is a very real, and VERY imminent threat to my waistline ;) Added to the fact that "breakfast" burritos are served 24/7. What?! Could it really be factual?!! :) I also see them as a legit competitor of the overpriced, nearby sit-down Mexican restaurants. Their employees are really nice, too. Don't expect it to be as fast as McDonalds - They're not "slow" slow... but not as fast as corporate fast food places, but that's because their food wasn't sitting on some heatlamp "ready to go" for "who knows how many" hours. It's freshly made. It really is worth waiting in line ... Tacomans have swiftly caught on to the goodness of this place and therefore there are lines at times. I think I may even get up extra early this week to swing in and grab a breakfast burrito before work to make the coworkers jealous ;) I will just have to hit the gym later in the night for sure. :) A++++++ Memo's!

  • Nick D.

Good cheap filling food. The only downside is I wish there was more parking. If you aren't trying to park you can just do the drive through. For very little money though you can be full with good food. Plus it's a good location off of many roads in Tacoma so it's easy to access!

  • J J.

Memos has quickly gone down hill. Today was the last straw.. I haven't checked in for quite a while because nearly every order has been returned incorrectly. Today, I ordered two carnitas burritos, two churro, one side of sour cream and a medium sprite. I received my sprite and was ask to pull up and park to wait for my food. When the girl brought it out she said,"two fajita burritos" and I said no not mine and she took it away. She brought out a bacon burrito and I turned her away repeating again what I'd ordered. She was exasperated they still hadn't given me my food. Fifteen minutes later the woman who took my order brought out the same bag of fajitas burritos shed sent the girl out with and said to my face that yes those are carnitas burritos. It is my fault I did not check to see that no they were the same bag of fajitas burritos. This wouldn't be so bad if green pepper and onion didn't give me heart burn... But once you take that stuff out there's nothing left but a few chunks of chicken a tortilla an a ton of sour cream (which I don't like in my burritos hence why I order it in the side). Memos.. This continued lack of attention to detail is unacceptable. Get your act together. Two locations and you've been at 6th street almost a year no? It's time to instal a new drive thru speaker set.

Slow service for "fast food" . Took 10 minutes to receive food for two. Place was filthy too, with wasps buzzing around the lights on the ceiling above the cash register. Food was ok. My breakfast burrito was bland and mushy, but our carnitas taco was slightly better. Far from the top tier of Mexican food in Tacoma. El sabor is still the one to be beat. Like others have said, this is a small step above taco bell, but really how much is that saying? I won't be back here again, and it's honestly not even worth checking out.

  • Bijo C.

I been here few times. I kinda like it. It's a love hate relationship. I go to Mexico every few weeks and when I'm not there I come here sometimes. It's not because I love it it's because people are really nice here. The food is average. I think it's a northwest flavor. I mainly like their breakfast burrito ' s. Especially I get veg burrito and add the sausage. One burrito fills you up so no need to get anything extra. Goods eats.

Fast. Cheap. Spicy. Not the best Mexican food I've ever had, but nowhere near the worst either. Plus it is open 24 hours a day. The breakfast burritos (at 9am or 2am) are a favorite for me. Not a ton of seating, drive through or walk in.

It is fast food but good fast food. Definitely not an authentic burrito but satisfies the craving for 4 bucks. Better than taco bell....

  • Shirley S.

At first I was very skeptical. But they proved me wrong. The food here is decent. Its got good flavor . They were fast and friendly about it. And to top it off the prices were pretty cheap. I can definitely see myself being a regular. :-)

  • Savannah H.

I've been here on three separate occasions and they've messed up the order every time. Everything's always correct on the receipt, but we always end up with the wrong food. Burritos are decent, but not worth the hassle anymore.

Good cheap filling food. The only downside is I wish there was more parking. If you aren't trying to park you can just do the drive through. For very little money though you can be full with good food. Plus it's a good location off of many roads in Tacoma so it's easy to access!

Goods eats.

Was skeptical because the building is a little run down- and its drive thru. But the meat was actually meat, not that processed stuff. Fresh salsa, delicious guacamole. I tried it for the first time on a Monday and then ate it again on Tuesday and almost again Friday. If you like Mexican without having to go to a sit down restaurant, this is an excellent solution.

    (3)

Place is pretty bad. Not good Mexican food at all. Quality of meat is suspect. Just pass on this place. Its fast food and not good. Had a few burritos at different locations around WA, ends the same. Fetal position next to a tiolet seat. Parvisurrito

Delicious Mexican food. I'm not even a big Mexican food fan and I'll be coming back to this place! My boyfriend introduced me (who is Mexican) and I can't believe I haven't been before. The location is difficult and tight but so worth it! The portions are huge for the price!

They forgot the beans on our care asada fries and the meat was more like a Mexican roast beef, but it was really good they are cheap fast and tastes like a table of truck and a taco bell had a baby. I'll be going back for sure.

  • Ashley B.

As good as it gets to what you would get in California! Chicken tacos are so good. The breakfast burritos are made exactly like the ones in CA. They use French fries here!!! Rice and beans are okay. A little bland. But we come here for the carne asada fries. They are legit. You won't be disappointed.

I got extremely sick from eating here, I didn't notice it until I saw it in the light but they served me rotten chicken. I know it's a cheap place but I'll never go back. Still flat on my back 2 days later.

No one else got sick though, so I don't know, maybe one day we'll try again... maybe.

  • Brittany S.

I love that they are open late and 24 hours! My favorite is the five taquitos with guac and lettuce. I give four stars because the location sucks and if the drive through gets more than two cars you are waiting in line in the street.

So GOOD!

I don't really understand what they are saying most of the time, and they don't seem to understand me either, but somehow it manages to work because the food is always magical. I may not always get what I ask for but whatever I get, it's always delicious lol.

Yikes!

I love the food here but I am so tired of ordering a vegan burrito and getting a vegetarian one instead. Why have them on the menu if the staff can't figure it out?

Not everything is good on the menu. Actually a lot of it, is average. Not authentic or fresh at all. However, the carne asada fries are delicious! And the only reason to go here.

I've eaten there twice and both times I either switch burritos with my dad or stepmother because they make me sick and makes me want to vomit. I think it's because it has too much oil or grease like other reviews. But one thing is for sure I will never return.

really good food! i had a steak quesadilla, and the steak was freshly grilled and it was a huge portion for only 5 bucks. i was completely full after. my boyfriend had the chicken burrito lunch special and he said it was good, but both of our meals were lacking any spice. i was expecting it to be even just a little spicy but i understand that they are trying to appeal to a mass amount of people, and not everyone likes a lot of spice. next time ill just ask for some Tabasco sauce or something. definitely going back.

They have many vegan and vegetarian options, the prices are good and the portions large. But the best is that the food is really good. I lunch there once or twice a week and prefer the shrimp burrito or the vegan breakfast burrito.

You will either love it or hate it, the reviews are pretty split. Did I like it? I had a vegetarian burrito that was alright and a shrimp taco that was disgusting. If I have to eat there again, I'd survive with the vegetarian burrito...

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
