I went in for happy hour yesterday and had a mixed experience. At 3pm I only saw a bartender waiting on all tables inside and the hardest working busboy. So service to start was slow. Then we got an up front show to the dinner shift staff coming on. It was like we weren't even there they were so unprofessional. Then when I asked for something from my waiter there was a delay since he needed to go flirt with the hostess. The entire time I did not see a manager on the floor. As someone who has worked in the industry I agree with the other reviewers and management needs to get it together if they expect to call themselves fine dining. The two stars goes to the food and cocktails.

This place was an interesting find. We were on our way to the Spokane Airport and wanted a quick lunch beforehand. We sat outside, with a beautiful view of the dam/water shed. The staff was very friendly and the food came out fast and delicious. I tried their clam chowder, which was good, but I have had better. My wife had a salad, which looked good, but I was not feeling it. I had the fish and chips, which was well breaded and tasted great. Pricing was a tab bit high, but that seems to be the norm for most seafood locations. It's worth a try, but parking/traffic can be a bear.

The sockeye salmon was excellent! It was served with basmati rice and snap peas. The fish was amazingly fresh and tasty. A little pricey for lunch ($21.95), but worth it. Our server was also very friendly. I'm visiting Spokane for business and wound certainly come back here.

Tried Anthony's for the first time last night searching for Copper River Salmon. Visiting family from another part of the country. We love CR Salmon! Anthony's presents itself very well. Beautiful vista overlooking Spokane River, the dining room is very well laid out, well lit, nice bar, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. My wife and I had a cup of "award winning" clam chowder and both our opinions are that it is good clam chowder, but not sure who would give it a culinary award. I had a seasonal (spinach) salad which was excellent. Fresh leaves, contrasting favors of sweet, savory, and pungent. Enjoyed it. The entrees are expensive for a 6 1/2 oz. cut of fish (~$22). I asked about the duo, salmon and halibut, and found that the total was still about 6 1/2 oz. for $44! The salmon was only good. Not what I expected from this very flavorful variety of salmon. My wife agreed. There was an off-flavor I could not identify. Possibly marinated? Not a good procedure for CR salmon. One daughter had the trout, which looked good. She reported that it was good, but not outstanding. The other (teen) daughter had child food (burger, what can I say?). No one at our table had a steak, but I saw one and it looked excellent. Perfectly seared and appeared to be tender. Overall, I give Anthony's three stars because it appears to be a very good restaurant masquerading as a fine dining establishment. When you command prices like these, patrons expect comparable quality. I have eaten in places not nearly as pretty, but with much better food for lower prices. I must give an extra accolade for our waiter (Ted), who offered us a warmer table when he noticed my younger daughter shivering, even though the place was busy. Very attentive and kind...impressive.

We got a table outside which was very good. Saturday was a beautiful night. I had blackened rockfish that was excellent. Mom enjoyed her tempura shrimp but thought they were a bit overdone. They were pretty dark. Wife had fried oysters that were greasy and the breading was mushy. Oysters were very good though. I am sure it's difficult to keep the breading on oysters crisp. Service was good except for the waiter had a tendency to talk a bit to much and didn't get water refilled when he should have. But I liked him and a still left a good tip. All in all a nice place to go eat seafood.

The view is amazing, the steak was tough. For being a well known steak and seafood place, the steak was not as good as I was hoping. Good flavor but a bit tough. Good wine list and beers made up for it. The view was breathtaking.

Every time I come to Spokane I always make sure to stop by Anthony's. It has reasonable prices, AMAZING views and good service. They don't try to do much, with only 3 page menu which I APPRECIATE!!! Be awesome with a few items vs being average with a lot of items. I always get the salmon tacos, clam chowder (it's amazing says this guy from Boston), and one of their ales. It gets a bit cold inside with the AC so bring a jacket. If you haven't, try to get a seat outside at least once for the view. Thanks!!!

Amanda was our server for a party of 22. She handled the evening with expert service. They made the celebration dinner event an evening to remember and would definitely recommend putting your faith in them to provide you a great dining experience. Food prep and dishes are very tasty and done well. Will definitely return and looking forward to coming back. Free valet parking when arriving is also a plus.

Great lunch menu, even for those on a budget. The service was great, the view spectacular and the Mango Cobb Salad was fresh and satisfying.

The best two desserts we have EVER had. The Huckleberry Slump had the perfect combination of crunchy crust, tart berries and warm vanilla ice cream. We are cobbler enthusiasts and the Huckleberry Slump was truly delectable. We also LOVED the strawberry shortcake! The fresh strawberries paired with a flaky biscuit and smooth creme is nothing short of amazing!

  • Kay P.

First off the staff was great- appropriately attentive. We were there for a late lunch on a weekday so it wasn't crowded. When I asked about a huckleberry influenced wine on the wine list the waiter offered to bring me a taste. Unless you like REALLY sweet entry level wines I would not recommend it; but now I know. The clam chowder was very good. The Dungeness crab point were good but the crab flavor was masked by the sauce.

Beautiful view! Staff bent over backwards to help us for our private event. Had the salmon and steak... heavenly. Absolute must went visiting Spokane.

My husband and I returned to this place where we had a high school banquet about a decade ago. We had remembered an elegant, amazing place however looking at it now it was in dire need of an update. The booths at the bar were horrible taste and random sports memorabilia was thrown awkwardly around. The shrimp cocktail obviously came from the freezer however the salmon was pretty good. Like many have said the view is the best thing about this place - they are really not taking advantage of this beautiful space. It has the possibility of being one of the most elegant restaurants in Spokane, however it is just missing the mark.

Well now, 5 stars from this picky fish lover. Took my mom here for Easter. Had to ask for a special seat-she can't stand bright light due to an eye disorder. No problem. They scouted around until we found a dim spot facing a wall. But I digress. Let's get back to the food. Columbia River Springer: This is a fancy name for a certain species of young salmon making their first run up (down?) the river. Get it! Luscious texture, delicate flavors, actually enhanced by the sauce. Funny I should say that. I usually complain about sauces. Asparagus: Very fresh, lightly steamed. Huckleberry slump: a layer of warm huckleberries topped by a biscuit-like crust, served with vanilla ice cream. Wow. Get this too. Hard to find real huckleberries in anything. Left really happy. It was the food, not the wine. Hence, a 5.

Overall I was very disappointed. I had slipped to my waiter that it was my birthday and she just smiled half heartedly at me. I was very excited to have some delicious seafood because I had been to the one in Everett. When our food came the seafood was very overcooked. It was hard like rubber. My boyfriend had shrimp that he had to tear apart like a leather shoe and I had seafood fettuccini. The flavor was delicious but again rubbery shrimp and scallops. By the time we were finished eating our waiter came for her first check up on us. I had put my drink out on the table hoping to get a refill but no it sat there for 20 minutes while she walked by numerous times helping other tables. It was not even a busy night. I will not suggest this restraint to any of my friends or family. Its a waste of money for the quality of food and the absolute poor service! Way over priced! Do not eat here. There are much better places in town!

Ouch. There's some brutal reviews on here. I'm wondering how legit many of them are. The few times I've been here we haven't had any issues and while it's not the greatest location in the chain, let me ask you where you're going to find better seafood and a better view in landlocked Spokane? Sure, this location isn't as good as say the ones along Puget Sound, but it's blows Red Lobster away with prices that aren't much higher, service that's a world better and taste that's on another level. This place remains the go-to seafood place in Spokane and that isn't likely to change anytime soon. Sure, it isn't cheap, but you came here for seafood, not hot dogs. Look at what you are getting, take into account the view, the falls, location, the quality of food you are getting and you'll surely understand why things cost what they do here. And, remember, you're in Spokane. Tone down you're expectations a bit and you'll enjoy every bite.

We were seated and waited about 5 minutes to even be acknowledged. The waitress helped every single table around us, but not us. Other than that, the food and drinks were great. They get fresh seafood 4 times a week. The salmon tacos were delicious. For myself, the total was $45. It is an upscale restaurant.

WOW! What an amazing place to eat! Gorgeous view, delicious food and wonderful service! Now, I was the only person in my party who didn't order seafood - but the TOMATO BASIL soup (with Jasmine rice) was to die for! Everything about this place was outstanding!

  • Brad P.

Fresh, raw oysters were great! Clam chowder deserving of the awards it won. Awesome view of the falls. Good selection of local beers on tap. Fantastic service. I dig that they source their seafood wild and local. I'll be back!

  • Todd C.

The view from the deck is outstanding and the sound of the falls is relaxing. The calamari was fantastic and the chowder is excellent. We came in for happy hour and tried the Ahi nachos and they were amazing. The taro chips add a nice crunch, and the wasabi aioli mixes very well with the teriyaki ahi and a pineapple chutney. One of the best appetizers I've had. Highly recommend the outside seating for summer time dining.

I won't go into the details. The management is not fit for Denny's let alone a high end restaurant. The behavior of the staff is atrocious at best. If you care to be mistreated and bathed in absolute mediocrity this is the place for you. Enjoy.

The great view topped off amazing food and service. We didn't have a reservation, but were seated outside right away. I would definitely recommend the seafood fettuccini, sweet and sour shrimp, and clam chowder.

We were a party of four who went to eat in this restaurant and left madder than hell. I would love to give this place a 0 star but there is no such thing. It started with these blond hostesses. They probably think we were fresh off the boat(fob) and they treated us like we did not know what they were doing. They pretty much bullied us. We ended up waiting and waiting to get seated which should have been fine until we learned there were 3 vacant tables of four empty. Then when that blond hostess in bob cut hair seated us she took us to the table next to the kitchen entrance even if there was an empty table nearby in a better corner. She should have seat have inside the kitchen if she could .....but naahhh this fob people will know thats too much bullying. SO we got seated and it took forever for a waiter to show up on our table only to find out that that stupid hostess who seated us did not assign our table to any particular waiter . Shit ...we got our waiter by calling the attention of one of the waiters. So we got served by one super nice waiter and his 2 other help, nice people. Then i noticed this lady came out of the kitchen glared towards our table and intentionaly i meet her glaring eyes with my glaring eyes too. Theres something going on here bitch. It appears at this point that the stupid hostess was coniving. Its time to make a move here. WE who they think are FOBs should make them aware we pick up the bullying and nope we wont tolerate the treatment. So we ask for the magager... Shit it came out that its that same lady that glared on us. Well well well ... Fast forward We got lots of apologies and got asked what they can do to make us happy etc. it felt like more bullying really. But we have to go along. They offered appitizer and desert will be free and all the nice nice... So that we will not give this restaurant a bad review. You know. But we are madder than hell and we need to be heared so heres the review they deserve. Oopps this is too long of a review and im not even done explaining the entire bullying. Anyway it was a horrible horrible dinner even if the food was good. Location is good too. I just wish we did not get bullied.

Service not good. Bread arrived late. 2 drink came well into the meal ... 1 drink, milk, came about the end of the meal. Server joked about it ... Not a good experience

I usually stop by for lunch and haven't experienced evening dining at this location. Nice view of the Spokane River and Riverfront Park from most tables. In the summer when it is not too hot, outdoor seating is great. They have a variety of nice lunch time entrees. I tend to gravitate toward the mahi mahi taco and a cup of chowder but do mix it up every now and then with the fresh catch of the day which I have never been disappointed with. Manager and staff has always been accommodating and pleasant. The once or twice they might have been slightly inattentive, i.e. drink refill, etc. after mentioning it, they noticeably redoubled their efforts. Although I have usually just walked in, I would recommend making a reservation if you know in advance. As far as seafood restaurants go in Spokane, I am a fan.

Ate there with several coworkers, the service was very slow, slow to take our drnk, appetizer and entrée orders. Our server had to be prodded to bring us additional bottles of wine. Appetizers were greasy, I had a bowl of clam chowder as my entree, was decent, not the best or worse clam chowder I ever had. Server did not offer fresh pepper and the chowder was not as hot as it should have been. The chowder came with a couple of packages of oyster crackers. Also had the fresh oyster sampler. The oysters I had were very salty and somewhat fishy tasting and not a good value for the $24 it cost. Long story made short is I have no need to go back.

The food was amazing and the views were even better. The food is consistently good and i would have no problem recommending this Spokanes best seafood restaurant.

This restaurant has great ambience & views of the Spokane River. The Kobe Burger is delicious & you must try the chocolate lava cake desert with raspberry filling. I'm drooling even mentioning this desert & burger. My wife enjoys their very fresh seafood salads as well.

This restaurant had an amazing view of the falls, and is a must eat place for people who have never been to Spokane before. I recommend making a reservation as it is a popular restaurant, and the window seats are the most popular. As far as the food is concerned, I got the halibut and I thought despite being cooked perfectly, there was not much flavoring. I will say the clam chowder is award winning and I found it to be very good!

Went here last night I ordered the rockfish and my wife ordered the seafood linguini, the fish was overlooked and the waitress was only seen when taking the order and bringing the check. We had to stop the busboy to get anything. My wife enjoyed her linguini and the views are amazing. However for the money I expect better service and better cooked fish.

Yes, if one can get a window table, the view is as good as it gets. Yes, the food is consistently good and the valet parking is as convenient as could be.. Yes, the wine list is decent, prices reasonable and servers knowledgeable. Suggestions: 1. Lose the sports memorabilia. As is, it confuses fine dining or sports bar? 2. Speed up the service. When I sit down in a restaurant, it's because I'm hungry and thirsty. Get me a drink and some bread ASAP and I can make it til the main course. Last visit, both bread and wine took far too long on a slow Thursday evening. 3. Portions are a bit skimpy. The accompaniment for the lobster tail was pretty basic - just rice and carrots; they're cheap, so use a big spoon. 4. White wine should be served at 48-50 degrees and some means of keeping the bottle at that temperature while on the table. The white wine when served was not cool enough and nothing was provided to keep the bottle from going to room temperature. That's a must for a restaurant with fine dining pretensions. Bottom line - one of the best in Spokane, but can be improved.

Being that it was our first visit to Spokane Washington, we had to trust our Aunt and Cousins choice for a dinner restaurant. That wasn't too hard - they've always had good taste in the past and they did this time too. We had little trouble finding the restaurant, and took advantage of the valet parking - as we were told there is little parking in this area. All was smooth. Upon entering we were greeted nicely and seated almost immediately - even though everyone from our rather large group wasn't there yet. Being a large group - we were set a ways from the windows - but could still see the amazing views of the river and waterfalls outside. We figured the tables for two would have the best views so this didn't disappoint. Service was excellent and appropriately attentive without being bothersome. For a big group, they took care of us nicely and everyone was pleased. Most important was the food. All was very tasty. Most of us opted to go with the "Sunset Dinner" that was available up until 6:00 that day. A Four-Corse dinner with choice of Appetizer, either chowder or salad, choice of Entree (from about 7) and Choice of Dessert (from 3). I went with the Shirmp Cocktail, Blue Cheese Salad, Roasted Garlic Prawns and Bailey's Irish Cream Chocolate Mousse. The shrimp cocktail was fresh and tasty. The shrimp were small, but a good number of them and tasted very good. The Salad was good, a tiny bit over dressed and had some very hard croutons - but again, very good taste. My entree had about 7 or 8 prawns, well cooked and came with rice pilaf and asparagus. The pilaf was a bit under cooked for my taste, but the asparagus was perfect and very tasty. The Chocolate Mousse was SO yummy too. All very good. My brother had the Cod fish fry and it looked amazing too. Those who didn't get the Sunset Dinner all seemed very pleased as well. Oddly, what everyone liked the best was the bread they served before dinner. Our large table got several loafs of fresh Sourdough. It was VERY tasty and very good. I think it was my wives favorite bread ever. The prices are a bit on the high side, but I think they are justified by the portions, the taste, the service and the view. We were very pleased with this restaurant and would visit again next time we are in the area.

Worst service ever. Reputation is great but after waiting and waiting for a table (place is empty as they let all their staff leave while we sat at the bar) and then waiting and waiting for food from the one waiter/bartender having to ask for bread etc Great bus boy explained we should have come between 4:630 for regular dinner service. Any other time - forget it.

    (3)
  • Juvy M.

The view was spectacular but the service was horrible. Our server didn't give us any bread and didn't ask how we were doing. He was too busy chatting with other tables. Food was a-okay. I think it's overpriced for the quality and service that you get. I will come back for the view but that's about it. Very disappointing.

I have been in Spokane 6 years and lived in Seattle previously where Anthony's has a few locations. I have always enjoyed these restaurants. I have been to the Anthony's in Spokane twice and have had terrible experiences both times. We haven't been back since our last terrible experience probably 5 years ago. Mediocre food, amateur staff, terrible service, dirty restrooms and stinky wine glasses. Never again.

My wife and I went here about 2pm on a Sunday afternoon for an early dinner, they where very accommodating and opened their dinner menu for us, we got the surf & turf! It was better than most that I have paid much more for! We sat on the patio with an amazing view if the Spokane river falls, if it's not too hot out I highly recommend the patio. Don't worry it it is too hot there are plenty of great views from inside too! I will be back here again!

I was looking for a nice restaurant to take my parents out to dinner. They don't go out to eat very often and they rarely travel to Spokane, so I wanted them to try something different. After searching for restaurants on Yelp, I found this place. The reviews, the Sunset dinner menu and the view of the Spokane river are what made the final decision. We walked in around 430pm without a reservation. I figured it was early enough on a Friday night that it wouldn't be necessary. Sure enough, they had seating and I asked for a window view. The hostess took us to the back with a beautiful view of the river. The waitress came out and introduced herself asked if we had ever been there before (which we said no) and explained everything very well. The moment of change... everything was excellent until the waitress asked what we wanted to drink. We all asked for water. We'd been shopping all day and were very thirsty. We don't drink alcohol or soda and we didn't want iced tea... just water. Being in the restaurant industry myself, I know to watch their faces when I ask for water. It's a sure way to know if you're going to get good service or bad service. And I knew from her face after asking for water, we were going to have bad service. For most of you that don't know... in the restaurant industry if people order drinks, you know the tip is going to be good since most drinks are $5-10 each and most drinkers tip well... 20% or more, so you can walk away with some serious cash on a Friday night! Of course, if you only order water the bill is not going to be very high hence some waitstaff think serving "water people" is a waste of their time. She brought the water quickly, then asked again if we wanted to order drinks and if we were ready to order. We needed a few more minutes. In that time, some other people were seated by us with the same view. They ordered drinks, received it and they were waiting for more people to join them. She never came back to our table. I was tempted to walk out but thought maybe she had tables in another area and was busy - trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. But 30 minutes later and glancing around, the restaurant seats were still empty. Mom didn't want to leave the view was so nice, so I flagged down the busboy to go get our waitress. 5 minutes later she came out to take our order. After taking our order she asked again if we wanted drinks. No, just water... and she made that face AGAIN - you've worked in the restaurant industry long enough to see waitstaff make faces at people who they think are not going to tip well because they don't order drinks. Sometimes it's true, sometimes it's not. I tip well for excellent service. Bad service, bad tip. After the waitress took our order, she didn't submit the order to the kitchen, she went to the next table to gab with them for a few minutes and took their order. I don't know if she was new, busy somewhere else or just lazy. The busboy/waterboy had come out to refill our waters and gave us our appetizers. Usually when you order a pre-fixe menu, the items are timed... when the customer is 1/2 way finished, the waitress should inform the kitchen to start the 2nd course but that never happened! Our dinner took 2 HOURS to complete. That is ridiculously slow! The busboy came to check on us more often than the waitress - he actually did a good job and the ONLY reason we left a tip was for that guy. That waitress didn't deserve a tip! The waitress even got my Father's order wrong but he was so hungry he ate it anyway (and he doesn't complain, he just won't return.) In the meantime, several of the tables were filling up. The table behind us had a different waitress who did an excellent job. I didn't get her name but I wished we had her instead. I think my mom took her aside when we were leaving to compliment her on a great job she was doing. Mom didn't like her entree, which she ordered off the regular menu. The tempura prawns entree was more like beer battered and thickly breaded vegetables and shrimp. Dad and I ordered the Sunset menu and they cooked his steak wrong and got the dessert wrong. My salad didn't have salad dressing and the burnt cream dessert was left over from the day before...the sugar was soggy whereas if the sugar on top was freshly burnt, it would be a hard crispy shell on the top. Yelp, you were dead wrong on this one. Food was mediocre and the service was lousy. The only good thing was the view.

We had a great time... The food was really good... Halibut cakes were good... The trout was really great & a larger portion... The shrimp apps are good & the chowder was excellent... I wish they had better salad options rather than romain mostly & I wish the menu told you what the dinner came with... Would be nice to get some other choice of veggies or sides... Every plate had snap peas & rice... Rice was good but seems pretty generic to plate everything exactly the same for such a nice place.

Brother had rehearsal dinner here they tried the food to prepare for the rehearsal dinner everything was good then came the rehearsal dinner pork that they serve was spicy versus when they tried the food it was not spicy the food was pretty good overall had a pretty good view of the lake

This restaurant is over priced. I had the seafood salad which was nice enough but cost $27. We were a big party and everyone else thought the food was good but expensive. I know the view is spectacular but you can get a cheaper and better seafood salad in Newport Beach, which also comes with a great view. I'm not american so I don't expect my food to arrive 2 seconds after I order it, but this was seriously slow.

This is a great place. I went here with a group of five. Food was good. Lots of choices. Prices are decent. I love the decor. The tables have inlaid wood. The view is excellent. The next time I'm in Spokane, I'm going to find me a date and take her here!

Beautiful location. Had two solid American Seafood dishes. That's their thing: classic and well-made. Don't come here for a "different" experience in food. You've had it all before, but at Anthony's, it's executed perfectly. Enjoy the view and for Pete's sake, Spokane, put on something nicer than a golf shirt for this place.

  • Kay S.

The trout was crisp, tender, and flaky. Accompanied by fresh green beans done to perfection and rice, fluffy and tasty. My companion had the prawn bowl with Jasmine rice, greens, and a sugared pastry. The prawns were coated with coconut and a sweet sauce added just the right note. The pastry, though unusual, was good with it. The server was friendly, attentive. Of course the view of the river on a sunny day just added to the occasion. Photos attached.

Amazing date location! Calling the day of we could only get a reservation for 8pm, but to ally worth it. Inside is gorgeous, the view as you eat is one of the best in Spokane. Our waitress was friendly and helpful and the food was delicious! Spendy, but worth it for those special nights!

We had a great experience last night at Anthony's Home Port. This wonderful restaurant serves excellent food, prepared and presented with care and style. We had the Wild Alaskan Salmon and it was incredibly fresh, moist and melt-in-your-mouth tasty! The Seasonal Salad was the perfect balance for the salmon, with candied pecans, pomegranate seeds and fresh greens. Service was outstanding and the recommendations were perfect. Pretty reasonable prices, especially considering the quality of the fare. The waitstaff was thoughtful and helpful. Combine the food and service with that beautiful view of the Spokane River with the Falls and you can have an elegant evening dining on the best!

  • Trina R.

We are from California and were hoping for a great seafood place. The view of the falls were awesome but the food was not. The calamari was all stuck together and soggy! It came on a plate of wilted lettuce leaves. The blackened salmon tacos came with 2 tacos for $16.00. Way overpriced!!

We started in the lounge for happy hour which was incredible. The Hawaiian Nachos and crab dip were delicious, as were the Huckleberry spiked lemonades we had. We moved to our table and the view was breathtaking. I had the Ahi and my husband had the Salmon. Both dishes were very good. The service was on point. Our waitress was attentive and informative. We'll definitely be back but we'll save room for dessert next time!

THE date spot in Spokane. Combine a beautiful view, nice ambiance, and reasonably priced fish, and you have a winner. The big reason to go is obviously the falls. You get a great view of Riverside Park and the ocean. Go on a warm spring night to see the falls rushing extra hard because of the snowfall! Most of my memories aren't about the food. Not to day it was bad or mediocre... the food is great! But to really experience Anthony's you need to sit outside during sunset with someone special :)

After a shakey start we were seated and treated very well. We had some issues with the reservation and weren't happy. The manager tried really hard to accommodate us and ended up doing so. The food was very good and the service was great. We went there for our 31 st anniversary and it will be a memorable one, I sure we will be back again.

When I layover in Spokane, I make it a point to visit this restaurant. The food is consistent, as is the service and the breathtaking view. I've dined here almost a dozen times and my last visit was just outstanding. Started off with the oysters. I know they were Pacific oysters but can't remember exactly which ones I ordered. I do know they were extremely fresh having come in that day! Notice my profile..."In search of the perfect oyster"...these were definitely some of the finest tasting oysters I've ever had. After my two dozen oysters I enjoyed a very nice diner salad along with a beautifully tasting Pino Grigio. The service was excellent as usual. Our waiter was extremely knowledgable and timed our food just right allowing us time to enjoy our appetizer's and the nice view of the river from the dining area. For my entree, I ordered the fresh salmon. I love salmon but don't usually order it out since I can get salmon almost anywhere but this was definitely well worth it. Cooked to perfection and served with a cornbread casserole that was to die for. I'm still fan!

My friends and I went to Anthony's not long ago, and it was a really nice experience. It was really pleasant to sit out on the deck and enjoy the view, and our service was very good. It was a Sunday afternoon and not too crowded, so our server paid us plenty of attention without being overbearing. We all enjoyed our food quite a bit, too. I'd definitely go back next time I'm in town.

My wife and I recently had dinner at Anthony's. The patio seating and view make it the best location to eat in the entire city. However, the main courses we had were mediocre at best. I had one of their featured entrees of chicken and it was very tough like it had been frozen. My wife had the salmon and said it was pretty bland.

Any restaurant that provides this kind of view will always attract patrons. Often, the restaurant can offer less and still thrive. They seem to lose their edge on quality, creativity and innovation. Think tourist attraction. Food is, meh (2-stars) -- view is, wow.

So the food was good (similar if not the same as Seattle's) and the service was excellent; but it's the setting that makes this place such a hit! There is a huge patio overlooking the upper falls - and on a warm summer evening, I can't think of anything better. And during Peach-o-Rama, be sure to save room for the Peach Slump. Fantastic!

I booked a reservation to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. At booking the receptionist said, "Oh you are doing a Birthday!" I thought they might do something to celebrate. We had a nice table overlooking the falls. I guess that was the contribution. We arrived in time for the Sunset menu but never saw our server for 15 minutes later, after it was over. Why put it in the menu if you can't use. The server was the most surly person I've ever had the misfortune to have in an upper end restaurant. She didn't even wish my mother Birthday. I thought my mom might get a dessert. "No we just put in candles, when I finally asked which was awkward. She could have said, "Happy Birthday." When we finally got our server, I put in an order for an appetizer. It arrived with the bread. When our entrees arrived, we were just finishing the appetizer. 3 people brought them rapidly so our group of 5 was busing the table so there was room. Maybe the Valets, receptionists, should switch with wait staff--they were delightful. The General Manager needs to work on the food service. We did receive water once at seating and the support server was very friendly but we never saw him again.

Had my phone stolen by one of the employees there. I left it on the table and went to the bathroom, came back and it was gone. I know customers wouldn't take it because we sat at the table in the far end and there was no one around us. I came back to the table and our waitress was cleaning the table, I asked her where is my phone, I left it on the table, she just said she didn't see anything and didn't even try to help me look for it, just left. I'm sure it was her who took it but couldn't prove it. Horrible experience. Will never go back to that place. The manager wasn't helpful at all, very rude.

Gorgeous scenery right from the deck overlooking the Spokane River Falls. The Salmon was the best I've ever had and even though I was full, I couldn't stop eating! I also tried the huckleberry lemonade and the huckleberry wine. Both were sweet, refreshing and delicious. The wine is a Reisling so it was perfect for a light salmon lunch. And there was also a huckleberry slump for dessert. Much like a berry cobbler with vanilla ice cream on top. I only had a couple of bites because I had to gobble down all my salmon ;) The server was local and answered our tourist questions without any attitude. Service was great and the courses were timed perfectly. It was a great way to enjoy the Pacific Northwest!

Expensive for mediocre food. Very few gluten free options which was strange to see at a seafood/steakhouse restaurant. I had the Lingcod. The fish was under seasoned and the rice was crunchy. Would have ordered something else but had a very limited menu... The view was great and the service was good. Would not go back.

Was very surprised at the quality of the seafood here. The view from the restaurant is great, the Missouri River and the falls. Started off with the clam chowder which was top notch. Then followed with the Dungeness crab cakes which were pretty special and extremely tasty. The salads however looked meh, I didn't have one thankfully. Warm, fresh bread and friendly service made this a very enjoyable lunch.

I have to be brutally honest... my salmon is way better than any they serve here and I'm no culinary expert... but I can tell you that their only specialty here is butter. Butter on everything- in the artichoke dip, on my salmon, on my rice, on my beans. Not that it tastes bad, butter makes everything good!... and that's just my point... butter is a cover up for just your average cook behind the counter here. Skip the big bucks here and go somewhere else. It's a neat view and all but it's a rip-off. I've had better food in my house, in friends' houses, and at restaurants.

This is the letter I sent to Anthony's: We had a reservation for 7pm. We arrived early and said we'd changed our minds about dinner but wanted to have drinks and appetizers on the deck. Fine, no problem, they said. We were seated at a lovely table. The busser brought us water and bread. And we sat for 25 minutes and never had a server aproach us. One server (male) did accidentally make eye contact with me but quickly turned away. After that, he was very careful to keep his back to us when he served the table over from us. We decided that we wanted more than bread and water, so the four of us got up and left. As we were walking through the restaurant from the deck, one server did smile and wish us a good night. We read the YELP reviews and decided to ignore them and go anyway. Nope, they were right on. And they'll soon have another negative review from me.

Everything was great! The Huckleberry wine was super, I had copper creek salmon and my husband had sturgeon. Both were served perfect. The chocolate cake for dessert was wonderful. Service was perfect and view of the falls was a nice addition!

It is a family of 5 dinner with kid under 10, a preteen and a teenage. We request patio seating. The view is great. We ordered fresh peach lemonade, daily special, rib eye and a kid salmon. All the food cooked to order. The peach lemonade are very fresh. We also order desert: key lime pie, peach ice cream and brunt cream. They are all very delicious.

Anthony's Home Port was a favorite of mine growing up as a kid. This was the first time I've been to the Spokane restaurant. Needless to say I was rather disappointed. View was great, food was OK, table was dirty, peach martinis were great, but the service was probably the worst I've ever experienced. This guy even beat out the rudest waiter I had in Miami and that's saying something. You can definitely tell WA State waiters make minimum wage and WA State has one of, if not the highest minimum wage in the USA. I've met people who've moved to WA to become waiters for that reason alone. Not sure what this guy's problem was. He had to have been a friend of one of my ex's to have that much animosity towards me. He just went out of his way to be a total dick. I had to remind him three times that we wanted bread. He finally brought the bread after our meals. The worst thing he said went something like this after we finished dessert, "If you guys want any water or something else let me know now because I'm going home now." Then oddly enough the prick just hung out around the restaurant and didn't leave until sometime after we left. He even found the time to volunteer to take pictures of an old black couple eating lunch. I hate to judge someone by their hairstyle but guys who spend way too much time making their hair look like they just rolled out of bed are not only pretentious pricks but also make lousy waiters. I will return to Anthony's in Western WA but Spokane has lost my business forever.

Food: Some hits Service: Friendly and prompt Price: The sunset dinner 4 course menu is unbeatable Having just returned from Australia, we had acquired critical taste for fresh seafood - so walked in wary, but with a positive attitude, as I had heard good things about Anthony's. The $18.95 prix fixe 4-course sunset meal (4-6PM) is definitely a steal. 1st course: Shrimp cocktail. I expected large shrimp, but they were the mini versions atop a bed of chopped celery. The shrimp was fresh, but the cocktail sauce was too thick for my liking. B+ 2nd course: Clam chowder. Delicious. Hearty with lots of potatoes and chunks of fresh-tasting clams. Good flavor. A 3rd course: Main entree. I got the fresh Trout pan-fried with butter. Nicely cooked and flavored. A. I have to give the rice and veggies a B-, though, for the lack of flavor (and the rice was crunchy at times) 4th course: Creme Brulee. Not too sweet nor custard too thick. A I also sampled: 1. The salmon: very good, cooked on a plank. 2. The fresh rockfish: fresh, but didn't like the cajun sauce 3. The Australian lobster tail: fresh, juicy, nicely flavored. The best seafood in Spokane? Likely The best seafood value in Spokane? I'm sure. You can obviously get better farther west, but it won't get better than this for seafood in Spokane. And don't forget the postcard view of the Falls, Washington Water Power and Riverfront Park!

The view is incredible patio side! For starters the dungeness crab cakes were the bomb and the soy and ginger sauce to go w that was amazing. For main course Double R Tenderloin Filet and Salmon tacos has a fabulous fantastic food fusion going on w what seems like a hint of cinnamon! Muy magnifico! Reservations recommended, however you can wait at the lounge for a table. Anthony's is definitely a NW experience.

We were shopping downtown and tried Anthony's for dinner. When I called for reservations, they were friendly and helpful. The same service was shown all through our dining experience. The bread was warm but the crust was tough, like it had been heated too long in the microwave. We just ate the centers. We split the shrimp cocktail, made with those tiny shrimp and diced celery and a cocktail sauce over the top. It was refreshing and plenty for two. I tried the sturgeon and it was served with rice, chives and green beans. The presentation was nice and I finished it all. I had the Pinot Gris Viognier and it was crisp, refreshing and complemented the sturgeon. Also tried was the Dungeness Crab Salad with Chowder. I ate the chowder which I thought had too many potatoes in it, though the clam taste was there. Most important to me, the chowder was hot, all the way to the bottom of the bowl. They served the salad with both the vinaigrette drizzle and louie dressing served on the side, as requested. For dessert I caved and had the molten chocolate cake. It took 13 minutes to make and we had a nice rest between dinner and dessert. The dish came with vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce. I asked for it to be served without the ice cream, but our waiter brought it with the ice cream and an apology. He took it back and took off the ice cream, but it spoiled the end of the meal to have vanilla mixed in with my chocolate. Hey, it's chocolate all the way, for me. Also, the ice cream cools down the melted center of the cake, so to me...leave it off. Our waiter was helpful, always there to check on us and very friendly. That more than makes up for the vanilla ice cream boo boo. Next time I'm visiting I will want to go back and try new dishes.

Recently dined here with a party of six. Unfortunately, the experience started off with our group being seated at two different tables as we showed up at two different times. Might I add that the wait staff didn't pick up on this, we did on our own. Didn't think much of this at first, but unfortunately our service didn't get much better. Our waiter started off attentive, but that didn't last long. Drinks took a while to get, our appetizer was given to another table, and when we requested another basket of bread, it seemed to take much too long. Overall, our food was decent. Fish tacos were pretty good and my husband liked his steak, but this still wasn't enough to overcome the poor service.

It seems Anthonys exchanges good service for a good view. Food was good, service was not. Bread is $2 per basket. Really? In Spokane?! The server seemed to think he was working at a 5 star restaurant but in reality he is working at a 2 star and has a snooty attitude.

We were celebrating our anniversary and decided to go to Anthony's. We both ordered the shrimp cocktail and were waiting to decide if we would order further after we ate the cocktails. Admittedly, the shrimp cocktail was quite good however, about 2/3 of the way through mine I was picking out shrimp shells with every bite. It finally was just too much and I quit eating. When our server came over I explained how I was so put off and showed him all the shells I picked out. Sadly all he did was apologize and say it wasn't their fault, it is the distributor's fault. Then brought the bill and we were shocked to see that there was not even a minor discount to accommodate for the shell-shock in my shrimp cocktail. Not even a complimentary ice tea! This is certainly not what one would expect from a supposedly "upscale" establishment. I really would not recommend this restaurant simply because of the lack of concern in making the customer feel as though they are valued-no matter how much they spend.

Anthony's Home Port has become one of the "Must Go" eating destinations in Spokane and surrounding eastern Washington, and for good reason. It is situated right on the Spokane River, with the closest and most spectacular view of the Spokane Falls that you can get while sitting down and eating great seafood. Anthony's is actually part of a chain of seafood establishments, mostly on the west coast of Washington, totaling close to 30, with a location in Bend, OR and here in Spokane. They have a large variety of seafood and steaks on the menu, but they also have a special daily fresh menu. We came in March, which is there "Oyster Festival" period, serving fresh seasonal west coast oysters. There was a choice of Penn Cove, Snow Creek, Barron Point, Chelsea Gems, Baywater Sweets (all from WA and $11.95 half shell), plus Samish Bay Flats ($14.95) and Olympias ($18.95) from WA and Kumamoto (Humboldt Bay, CA. $17.95). We had Penn Cove and Kumamotos, which were great. I love Kumamotos. They also offerred an Oyster Sampler ($14.95), Crispy Oysters ($8.95), Pan Fried ($8.95) and Baked ($9.95). Oyster entrees included Crispy Seared Oysters in a roasted corn salsa ($19), Baked Oysters, 4 in a tomato beurre blanc and 4 in a sundried tomato basil butter ($22), or Steak and Oysters (Sirloin and Willapa Bays $24). All the fresh fish entrees for the day came with fresh asparagus and Basmati rice pilaf, and none were over $30. They included Canadian Rockfish, Rainbow Trout, Island Duet of Mahi-Mahi and Prawns, Columbia River Sturgeon, Swordfish, Alaskan Halibut, Yellowfin Tuna, and Wild Alaska King Salmon. Our table had the 8oz Filet Mignon (served with mashed potatos instead of Rice), Swordfish, and the Sturgeon. I have to say, that it was later in the evening on a weekday, and we closed the place down. Perhaps due to this late meal, the staff being tired, or perhaps not the top cook, everything was over cooked a bit. The Swordfish was sent back as too dry, and the Sturgeon, usually a moist, flakey fish, was also dry, and the medium rare Filet was medium. The service staff was extremely pleasant and apologetic, offering to bring a new piece of Swordfish (which was better) and offered free dessert. The dining room has a large glass wall looking out over the Spokane Falls from most tables, and a walk way and deck in front for viewing. Depsite our heavy heated entrees, everything else was superb, from the view, the service and the wine list, so I would definitely go again.

Given that Spokane is pretty inland, fresh seafood will always be somewhat limited and/or expensive, so keep that in mind. Anyway Anthony's in Spokane is quite good, and I will say the best seafood in Spokane (not saying much, but it's good trust me). They do have a great outside view of the Spokane Falls which is nice if you can get a table there, just do it during warmer months. Anyway our service was fast and friendly. I.E. I ordered some mussels and I noticed a good third of them weren't cooked enough for them to open up, I simply asked if they could just reheat it some more to get the mussels to open. They re cooked a whole new batch for me, that was nice. Anyway my main entree (even though it's been YEARS since I visited) was the Dungeness Crab Fettuccine Alfredo w/mushrooms. It was THAT GOOD that I still remember it, and crave it each time I'm back in Spokane (which is usually Hoop fest or Bloomsday so fettuccine Alfredo is usually not a good idea). Anyway I highly recommend Anthony's in Spokane for some good seafood. Especially the Crab Fettuccine Alfredo..what's not to love...Dungeness crab=Good, Mushrooms=Good, Fettuccine Alfred = Good...Everything Combined = Godlike. ~G

We stumbled upon Anthony's while looking for a bite to eat near the Spokane Arena that wasn't gross arena food. After passing by a couple places where the average entree was $25-30 a plate we ended up here. We were still concerned the entrees were a tad expensive for our grad student budgets, but the hostess heard our deliberations and offered us a menu of less-pricey entree options in the bar area. Thanks to her astute listening skills and helpfulness we looked at the bar menu, decided it looked good, and stayed to eat. The restaurant was beautiful. The bar area and restaurant itself were barely separated, and both were classy, with nice hardwood floors. The bar area had real tables and nice booths, along with the actual bar. There was a nice fireplace, which kept us warm even though it was freezing outside, and the restaurant had a lovely view of the falls. Even though we were at the bar, we still got great and prompt service from the bartender. I was impressed by how delicious and fresh the seafood was, even though we were pretty far inland in Spokane. My mahi-mahi tacos and clam chowder were delicious. At the end of all this, I got a great meal and atmosphere for a very reasonable price. I'm glad we decided to stop by for dinner.

Was here with friends on a Friday evening. I've been to different Anthony's around Seattle, and they're always consistently good. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. All of us decided to take advantage of the Sunset Dinner special, which includes a small appetizer, soup or salad, entree and dessert. No complaints about the service, and we were seated next to the window with a lovely view of the falls. The flavors of the food were good, but several items just missed the mark with preparation issues. The crust on the bread was very hard, not sure if it was a bit stale, or it may have been overheated at some point. The caesar salads were extremely overdressed. Two of the entrees came with rice that was crunchy, it wasn't undercooked, so I suspect it had been left uncovered so that portions dried out and the dried out rice was mixed back in. All in all a pretty mediocre meal that could have been so much better if a little attention had been paid to the details.

Went there for the 4th of July with the family and had an amazing meal, view, and a great server. We were a party of six ready to relax on the patio and our server let us do just that. We didn't get to order until 2:30pm and their brunch usually ended at 4:00...however, our server worked his magic and let 4 of us order off the brunch menu. They brought us copious amounts of sour dough and blueberry crumb muffins which were excellent! The breakfast tacos were excellent and everyone else seemed to enjoy their menu as well. The view of the falls is quite magical and the weather was perfect. Would definitely recommend for out of town visitors and even those of us who live in Spokane and just like to get out and about :)

I just happened to be taken here by my father-in-law. It was GREAT! Our waiter was outstanding, and the service was timely. I had a clam chowder I think to start with, and then got seafood linguini. It was to die for! And we had a nice bottle of wine too. He had the mahi mahi and really liked it. We split this delicious cho olaty thing for desert.

Are you people incompetent? Anthony's is by Farr the best seafood spot in spokane. If you order a steak you might be disappointed but if you get the tuna/calamari it can't be beat. Always my go to spot for a special night.

WOW - I'm blown away by these reviews - maybe they have changed or we just went on a bad day but when a group of 8 all agreed that the food was, at best, Lobster Garden quality that isn't saying much. The idea of pairing every entrée with rice and asparagus, just does not work, this is circa 1960's cooking, what are they thinking? Flavors need to complement each other and the dishes should each be individual. Let me put one plug in for Anthony's they do have the best view in all of Spokane, so if a view is more important then food then go there, it's kind of like the Space Needle, do you really expect a good meal in the rotating restaurant - do you?

This is my favorite place for Seafood in Spokane. I love the view of the Spokane Falls. It's lovely to sit outside in the summer. The fish is fresh and always delicious. The week had been a success, I was longing for a good meal, and it turns out I'd saved the best for last. My partner and I walked to Anthony's from our hotel (the Doubletree) and saw the beauty of the falls along the way. We arrived at the restaurant early enough that we were able to be seated right away, but too early to be seated on the outdoor patio. Boo. Our server, Scott, was quick to greet us and welcome us to the restaurant. I decided to order a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, which he promptly brought and opened. The menu had so many tempting options...ultimately I decided to go with one of their dinner specials for 18.95. This included a shrimp cocktail for an appetizer, the salmon for the entree, and creme custard for dessert. There were 4-5 options under all three categories. I also ordered a half dozen local oysters as a starter (no, I can't eat THAT much food, I gave my shrimp cocktail to my partner and he ate it). The oysters were great, the salmon was perfect (just a perfect pink inside and oh, so fresh), and I only had one bite of the creme custard (it was wicked good, but too sweet for me). The manager, Andrew, came by and chatted with us at our table. I told him about Yelp and he thought it was a cool way to find out about restaurants. He was very personable and I enjoyed talking with him. Our server, Scott, was equally cool. He was very attentive, professional, and contributed to an overall wonderful dining experience. Even the folks who took away our plates as we finished items were very professional. With a view that will put you in a totally relaxed mood, food that will leave you satisfied and service that will make you glad you came in, you can't go wrong with Anthony's.

Wow a great setting. Right on the river. Not a bad seat in the house and that matched with a terrific menu loaded with fresh options. the salmon was terrific and there were many options of salmon. the lighting was good, this place has the trifecta, great service, great view and terrific food.

My husband and I used to head to Anthony's every month for our night out but since the new chef got there and changed up the menu we haven't gone back. Anthony's used to have a lot more seafood options including a delicious cioppino and now it seems as though steak has taken over. Since it is primarily categorized as a seafood restaurant I find that a bit disappointing. However the view is still great and service is exceptional. My favorite dish, scallops with gremolata, is still on the menu and I highly recommend it. Don't order an amaretto sour though, it wasn't very good.

Just OK. I guess that is the risk that one takes when indulging in seafood in a landlocked part of the state. Spokane is really no so far from the Pacific that high fresh seafood should be hard to obtain but this place was really very average. I was very disappointed in the tempura items as the tempura was not really tempura. It was more like a flour based beer batter used to make fish and chips. I don't think I would ever return to this place. --other than for adult beverages as it does have a great view of Spokane Falls.

Never having been in Spokane before, I found this restaurant through Yelp. It's a triple-play hit: views of waterfalls, comfortable patio seating (and with the temperature being in the high 80s at dinnertime, it was the perfect place to sit), and $19 for 4 courses if you order before 6:30 pm! Their happy hour offers a wide selection of reasonably-priced beverages and tasty appetizers, which you can order at the bar or booth seats. The staff are friendly and accommodating. And they have free valet parking. A real gem!

If you are looking for good food then this is not the place but if you are looking for a decent steak with a great view of the Spokane Falls then this is it. We went there on a Friday afternoon and ordered the sunset special. My steak was decent but the potatoes were horrible. I did had to ask for A1 steak sauce to add some flavor to the steak. The sunset special included appetizer, main entree, and dessert. My appetizer were shrimp cocktail and the dessert I ordered was burnt creme. Both were mediocre. The shrimp cocktail was actually a salad in a dessert bowl with miniature shrimps. The dessert was burnt creme which came out too sweet. Overall the experience was good because of the view but the food wasn't spectacular.

Great "Sunset Dinner" specials. I wouldn't recommend the garlic roasted prawns as they were a bit on the bland side. The clam linguine was really delish, though! And don't forget the Bailey's Irish Cream Chocolate Mousse for dessert!! YUM!

We had lunch today overlooking the Spokane river. This chain restaurant has a great setting and decor plus an awesome view; too bad the view was better than the food! We were one of the first cusotmers of the day and our waitress had only 2 tables to cover but still we had to ask twice for our drink and we were over-charged on final bill. On a postive note we tried 2 new things: Huckleberry iced tea (thumbs up on that one) & fried oyster tacos (a new twist on an old favorite). Note to chef: the tacos would have been really outstanding with a more flavorful sauce and a spice added to the breading. Instead they were just "okay" . Same goes for the clam chowder. Next time we'll skip this one in favor of a place with better service .

We ate there last night for our anniversary. With the atmosphere and the view of the falls, this is a beautiful restaurant. This is a great place to take a date. We opted to eat inside due to there being a slight chill in the air, but the outside seating looked wonderful. The service was great in all aspects. While eating, I found to food to be delicious. However, since I have had time to think about it I would say it was good, but I've had better. The entrees were pricey, and for the cost I didn't feel there was enough. I like left overs! If am going to drop some dough on a meal, I like to have enough on my plate that I could have some the next day!

After waiting a very long time our waiter finally approached us to take our drink order. We ordered two ice teas and he asked if we were ready to order lunch so we did. We asked if we could move to a table on edge of the glass wall with a better view as there were several available waiting to be cleared. Our waiter mumbled about telling someone we wanted to move, but it never happened. We received our Coconut Shrimp quickly, however after delivering the appetizer the waiter left so quickly he didn't notice we didn't have napkins, silverware or appetizer plates. After about 10 minutes he finally walked by again so we could ask for silverware. Our lunch was delivered by a different waiter who was very friendly. I had the Alaskan Halibut breading in panko. The fish and been seriously overcooked and there was a huge hair wrapped into my broccoli. The waiter never returned to our table for me to tell him. My mother had the Crab Salad and chowder combo. The crab was great but the greens were old, slimy and drenched in dressing. We had ordered a couple of ice teas which were never refilled. The entire experience was disappointing. We are both sorry to see such a nice restaurant going downhill.

Service was pretty good; my husband's steak could have used some seasoning, but was very tender; kobe sliders just tasted like unseasoned regular hamburger, but my dungeness crab fettucini was awesome! Overall, a great meal & experience!

I have not been a big fan of Anthony's but went there last week and loved it. Had the Northwest Duet. Salmon and Halibut with mashed potatos and brocholi. The fish was perfect! And I'm not a veggie fan but the brocholi was great. I even wanted more. There slump deserts are awesome too.

The restaurant's appeal can best explained in it's location and not in the quality of the food, nothing that would make you want to repeatedly go there to eat but nothing that is disgustingly awful. The location, stradling the Spokane Falls, enables some spectacular views. For example, I've seen up close the 4th of July fireworks shot off from the opera house, a near Valentine's Day scuicide off the bridge, and during the summer seeing hawks dive for their meals while avoiding the tiki torches that are always, or already past the stage of catching the entire porch on fire. Probably the best restaurant location in the city, but if you're looking for original ideas on food look elsewhere (or if you like the food try one of their other ?? restaurants throughout WA and OR).

It was a pleasant experience to be invited to visit Spokane,Wa. This place was recommended by a top yelper, who is a great critic for food. His selections were delightful...the chef here was very friendly and ambience is a view of the falls. Enjoyed every bit !!

Great view of the Spokane Falls with open outdoors seating and large floor to ceiling windows. Many seafood restaurants have come before Anthony's only to fail from the difficult parking situation and awkward location from Downtown. Anthony's seems to have solved the problem with free valet parking and a menu that makes you remember that they are a short walk away from the Downtown Garage. The coconut shrimp are excellent and the seafood is fresh. Try the Northwest Duet which has both Salmon and Halibut. Excellent. The place gets busy in the summer so make reservations.

If you want to dine in a place that has a great view of Spokane Falls this is the place. If you want a great dining experience this restaurant doesn't seem to be consistent. Our dinner here on New Year's Eve was mediocre at best. The seafood entrees we ordered were not as we expected. The trout advertised with breadcrumbs and marcona almonds was so overly breaded and fried that the trout was hardly apparent and was tasteless. There were three almonds on each entree. The scallop dish was supposed to have a gremolata which is just a sprinkling of herbs and garlic but I wouldn't have identified it as such. The scallops were just OK but not anything special. On another visit to Anthony's we had a good meal and the fish we ordered tasted very fresh and flavorful. I don't know what's happened in a year but I almost felt like we were in a fast food restaurant. When we complained about the "fried" trout the manager said that it was very popular and offered to substitute another entree, but he couldn't prepare the trout any other way because it was prepared in advance. Did it come frozen like that, perhaps? He didn't charge us for the entree but I was just surprised that a seafood restaurant wouldn't go the extra mile to prepare fresh seafood in a more natural fashion, like grilling or broiling, like even Red Lobster does. On the positive side the service was good and we had a helpful waiter.

Anthony's was great food, really good atmosphere, but service was inconsistent. The manager was super. She took the time to educate me on their wine selection. She even conducted a mini-tasting. Our server was very sweet, but seemed inexperienced. We gave her an order for appetizer and salad while we considered our dinner selections. She came back a while later and asked for our dinner order and had clearly forgotten that we had placed the other order. She tried to play it off as she was holding on to that until we made our decision on dinner. I don't think the appetizer order was ever placed since we never got the dish. The food we did receive was delicious. My husband's steak was perfectly cooked and my salmon was scrumptous. Entree with salad left no room for dessert unfortunately. We went with one of the house wines and it was good. We sat outside, which was very nice. We looked over the falls and it was a delightful place to be on a balmy evening in Spokane. We walked around inside as we left and I thought there were several tables that would be great for a group going out for a fun dinner with good food and a great view. There appeared to be a couple of private areas that would be good for group dinners. I would certainly recommend this spot to locals and visitors even if it is a "corporate/chain" restaurant.

Having recently moved from Seattle I was excited to go to one of my "old favorites" for some quality seafood. The atmosphere was very nice and the hostess and waitstaff did a good job. We were on our way to a show and were celebrating with my parents. Two of us got the special with Salmon, Crab Cakes and a Filet. My wife got the scallops which she usually loves. Unfortunately, this time was a much different experience at Anthony's. The Salmon was dry and way overcooked, Filet was requested med Rare and came well done, and the scallops were almost hard they were so overcooked. Even the veggies were overdone and tasteless. Very disappointing. The Crab Cakes were excellent and filled with Dungeness Crab. A+ on those, but F- on the rest. This hurt even more given the prices...almost $40 a plate for the specials and $30 for the scallops. Ouch. I wont be returning to Anthony's unless I'm in Seattle where they can reliably cook seafood every time.

This is my favorite place for Seafood in Spokane. I love the view of the Spokane Falls. It's lovely to sit outside in the summer. The fish is fresh and always delicious.

The outdoor seating is delightful. The service was exemplary. The staff (Penny and Brian) worked as a very cohesive team to ensure our dining experience was very enjoyable. The ahi tuna as an appetizer was to die for!! The entrées were just adequate - perhaps a bit overpriced and overdone - but the overall experience certainly overshadowed that aspect.

Thanks!!!

The view is amazing, the steak was tough. For being a well known steak and seafood place, the steak was not as good as I was hoping. Good flavor but a bit tough. Good wine list and beers made up for it. The view was breathtaking.

This is a great place. I went here with a group of five. Food was good. Lots of choices. Prices are decent. I love the decor. The tables have inlaid wood. The view is excellent. The next time I'm in Spokane, I'm going to find me a date and take her here!

  • Sarah B.

  • Jim G.

Any restaurant that provides this kind of view will always attract patrons. Often, the restaurant can offer less and still thrive. They seem to lose their edge on quality, creativity and innovation. Think tourist attraction. Food is, meh (2-stars) -- view is, wow.

    (3)
  • Doug D.

Fantastic!

Great food, excellent service and even better view of the river. Go for dinner, the river really is impressive in the evening.
