My family dropped in for dinner today and had a Captain's plate, 3 bowls of chowder, 2 halibut tacos and a green salad. The chowder and tacos were very good. The Captain's plate was OK (scallops were excellent) but i thought the portion could have been a little bigger given the $34 price. Also I was disappointed when told an extra tartar was an additional charge (captain plate came with 2). Also when we asked for bread or crackers for the chowder there was none available. Overall the food was good but I don't think the captains plate is a good valve and the customer service needs improvement to match the overall price (Total bill $80 w/ tip).

Amazing halibut tacos!!! Omg you need to try them, don't even question it. Cozy outside patio that over looks the river. Yum yum I'll be back for more!

Took my mom here for fish and chips. She has a hard time getting around and they offered for us to park right in front. Really appreciated that and helped us decide to indeed eat there. Service was friendly. Menu was your basic seafood joint menu. The three piece fish and chips plate was absolutely delicious and not too greasy. You won't get that bloated I just ate a bunch of fried food feeling after eating it. I'm guessing they change their fryer oil often. Panko breading was perfect and the fish was cooked perfectly. Tartar sauce was tasty. Homemade fries were soooo good. Everything tasted homemade, even the tartar. If not, then they get their products from a quality provider. They had Mac n Jack's IPA, which I've never had, and thoroughly enjoyed. Gumbo was okay, could have used a tiny bit more rice since it was very rich but was just fine including shrimp, oysters, and sausage, and maybe more. Clam chowder was perfect! Staff was helpful and looked happy to be working there. We will be definitely be back!

We had the oyster and chips and 8 ounce steak, and let me tell you, it was damn good. Damn good indeed.

Andy and his crew have done a great job refurbishing and refreshing the place. The tacos are a fantastic menu addition!

Amazing food! Started with calamari, then clam chowder, and finished with 3 fish tacos. GF had the prawns wrapper. We will definitely be back with friends and family!

  • Forrest S.

Mediocre food at an expensive price. Halibut should be good size pieces or steaks for the price you pay. These were fish fingers and just ok in taste. Didn't care for the charges for the charges for dipping sauces (ranch). Definitely not worth $44.

We have been to Andy's Fish House a few times now and every time we are amazed at how good the food is!!! Excellent fish and the best prawns my husband or I had ever had! The staff is so friendly and welcoming too. We will be returning often!!! :)

I recently visited for the first time since new ownership. I was very surprised at the amazing service, the food was above and beyond what I expected. I know a lot of people have said they are pricey but I though for the quality of seafood we got the price was more than fare and the amount was perfect. We will be back

My new GO-TO favorite food place. Clam chowder was significantly good, and their salmon was perfectly cooked. Right in the middle of town, it had a great atmosphere and great staff! Will definitely be coming back for years to come.

July 1,2014 We enjoyed sitting out side at Andy's Fish House on an 80 degree evening in Snohomish. I had a delicious perfectly grilled piece of Salmon on Caesar salad and my husband had a half order of the seafood platter and enjoyed every bite. Delicious !

We were frequent customers of Chuck's so it was nice to see that most things have stayed the same and what has changed is good. The service is still pretty bad but it always was (sorry guys), it's an improvement to order at the counter because it's a lot faster. Still pricey but still totally worth it. New decor feels clean and fresh. The food is still delicious. Their chowder is still THE BEST. The new menu contains all the old favorites and some new items that look really good. The fish tacos were AWESOME!!! I highly recommend them. We got the fried fish, the outside was crispy, inside perfectly cooked, I don't know what all was on them for sauce etc but it was an excellent combination of flavors. Great addition to the menu.

  • James H.

Was leery of trying this place, but read the good reviews so I gave it a chance. I should have stuck with my gut feeling. Very much a fast food feel. Pretty much everything is deep fried. The one item I actually wanted to try on the menu wasn't available and everything was WAY overpriced for the quality and quantity. Some people may like this type of food, but I'd just as soon eat at McDonald's.

  • Andy K.

Solid! Love the tacos, I had one fish and one halibut and the flavors were amazing! My friend had a crab Louie with big chunky pieces of real crab and fresh delicious veggies. Nice staff, with a dog friendly patio! Great place for lunch!!!

I was so craving fish and chips tonight and thought i would take a chance on Andy's fish house .. And i was so let down...we ordered calamari and the portion was unbelievably small... It came with three times as much lettece.. Which was the only thing that was fresh and the pieces themselves were the smallest calamari i have seen.. But still it was the portion that i had issue with.. We ordered two orders of 3 piece cod and chips and the pieces were literlly as thin and small at fish sticks from the grocery store.. Like the kind you got as a kid..the fries were ok but still not even so many..,the final thing we prdered where clam and chips.. Still so freakin small a portion! The only thing i can really say is the tarter sauce was good but really good fish shouldnt even need tarter! Next time I crave fish.. I'm going elsewhere..

Had a delicious meal here tonight. I will definitely be back! Had the prawns and chips but next time I would love to try something different; lots of good options.

Fantastic fish and chips! Clam chowder that you could eat by the gallons. Definitely coming back. Only down side is parking on the weekends.

Loved my pan fried oysters. The live music was great! A very relaxing evening....

  • Heidi R.

Overall the food is excellent, but a bit pricey for what you get. My husband got a combo wrap, I got 2 small soft shell fish tacos, and 2 kids meals for $50, a bit much for a quick lunch. The adult entrees did not come with any sides. The setting was a small mom and pop fast food joint with outdoor tables, very casual.

I cannot tell you how many times I have driven by this place and always wanted to go. Last week we went for lunch and was SO pleasantly surprised!! We had a co-worker from California in town and wanted to have seafood so we decided to take him to Andys. The server recommended the fish tacos and offered to have two different kinds for variety. I had the halibut and the regular fish tacos. Both of them were delicious but my favorite was the halibut tacos. They were so good. Along with it, I had a cup of the chowder and was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a bit pricey but worth it.

  • Micah S.

The fresh oysters are awesome so go get some. Anything fresh. I mean fresh fish is the best. Didn't you guys used to have the fish out at the counter on ice displayed? I liked that if it was a thing. It should be a thing (again?). Can you get stout at least in bottles? Stout goes good with oysters!

  • Sharon D.

Started out with an unfriendly server. Young blonde girl. We seemed to be putting her out by showing up for lunch while she was rolling silverware. Ordered the chowder: we looked forward to the razor clams advertised in it on the menu. We found one tiny slice of a clam. Disappointed. The chowder did have a Nice creamy texture with fresh dill. Next came the 3 piece Halibut fish and chips and a side of slaw to share: Server didn't bring an extra plate. Fries were old, limp and cold. Fish was over cooked and tough. I took the plate of uneaten food up to the counter, told our sever we were very unhappy with the food, and said we were going to leave. Which we did.

Great end to our business day in this quaint antique-ville. When we said we wanted fish, several shop owners recommended this place. We were greeted by someone who seemed to be the owner. He asked if we had been here before and we told him it was our first visit. He told us they were known for all the fries options but there were also plenty of great grilled and blackened options for the fish. We opted for grilled halibut tacos. They were served on fresh corn tortillas thick enough to support the perfectly grilled fish, chipotle sauce and cabbage. Warning, it is still a bit messy and scrumptiously napkin worthy. Note there is bit of spice in the smokey chipotle so if you are very squeamish on spicy...ask for it on the side. I loved it. We asked for extra crispy fries and they delivered. Wish something bad for us didn't taste so good. Definitely will be back on our next trip.

This is a regular stop for my boyfriend and myself! Love the atmosphere and freshness of the menu. And Andy is a great guy who loves what he does. I'm partial to the blackened halibut tacos, which are crazy spicy but insanely delicious. Like I could eat them every day! I've heard and read complaints about service - I wouldn't go there expecting to be wined and dined - the servers are basically order takers and food runners, not super schmoozy servers, which isn't a deal breaker for me given the dining atmosphere is really casual and just what I'd expect form a "fish house." Awesome spot for a quick bite!

  • Bill A.

Finally got a chance to try this place out and the food was great. A big improvement over the previous business that was here. The service could have been better, but the food quality will get me back there again soon. They also had a band playing that was really good and a lively atmosphere.

  • Angie H.

OMGumbo! Fish-a-Licious!! I ordered the Gumbo - 'twas a special of the day! And oh boy - it was "special"...it was spicy, warm, full of seafood, sausage, rice, and ...comfort food - at it's finest. My husband ordered the Halibut & Chips, and added Fried Oysters to his meal. It was served with cocktail, and tartar sauce. The fish was fried perfectly...didn't have that "heavy greasy feel" - My hubby doesn't usually like french fries, but he liked these ones! My husband has also never had Fried Oysters before, but says he would "definitely order them again!!" Our girls (age 8 & 4) - shared an adult size portion of the Popcorn Shrimp & Chips. It is served with tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. They enjoyed it...my eight-year old said it was "a little salty" - but, she's eight, and not a foodie. :/ Beer is available, on tap & bottled. Put this place on your "to do" list!! :) We look forward to coming back!

Great Seafood in my old home town. Snohomish has changed since I grew up and yes there a lot more tourist but some of the good things are more select of restaurants. Andy's has fresh seafood and a open style restaurant with friendly staff. The Alaskan cod fish and chips are crispy and the fries are home style. Try the clams and the cioppino just the right amount of spic, could feed two. Coming to Snohomish to shop but stay for the food.

    (4)
  • Glenda D.

Best fish I've had in a long time. Crispy not doughy, fresh inside, cooked to perfection. The chowder was great too...a little dill just to make it better. If I had a criticism it would be price...a little steep but it wasn't mystery fish so I'm not complaining. Withholding comment on the fries (chips) as I prefer my fries to be on the, what most think, is the overdone side. Fantastic place...wish it was closer to home ;)

Can't wait to go back. Prime food . Great peeps. Last time had the fish and clam tacos. I don't really like clams.. but these could change my mind. .. dee Licious.

We were looking for a nice place for a family meal so we could enjoy the fantastic summer evening. This fit the bill perfectly. Our server was very attentive and helped with a special request. All in all the food and the experience were very good.

Food was excellent. Fresh and made to order Service was excellent. A very relaxed family run down home flare. Loved the outdoor seating and atmosphere We will definitely return and try more items on menu. Thank you andy and staff for an enjoyable experience

  • Jeff M.

The fish was great - crispy, not greasy. it was light and flaky. The clam chowder was pretty good, I loved the dill and the creamy flavor with potatoes. It was a bit salty to me, but I still enjoyed it. Make sure you login to Yelp and check in for a free cup of chowder - we scored a free cup of chowder this way : ) nice touch! We shared a large salad, it was very good. Fresh lettuce and veggies. Enough for 2 to share! The fries were very soggy, cold, and did not taste fresh. They were by far the worst part of the meal! For this reason alone, I will not get fish and chips there again... To me, fish and CHIPS must complement one another. The fries were awful! It was busy, service was slow, but they were very nice. We have driven by MANY times and never stopped in... It was our first time trying it out, sadly I doubt we will go back... even though we drive by several times a week and I love fish!

    (2)
  • Kippi L.

Friendly service albeit a tad slow. The halibut fish n chips were too well done and therefore dry. The fries were good and had the right amount of salt. Sigh, The search continues for a good fish n chips...The outdoor vibe is nice. On a hot day the misters feel nice.

We went to Andy's after the parade last Saturday and were excited to try it out. To start off with our server definitely did not seem happy to be there. We ordered beer battered fish and chips and when they came they looked like they had been recooked from the night before. Our plates were dripping in grease. When we complained to the server she said all fries are different. My mil asked her to take it to the chef and ask him if he'd eat them. Her response was to give us a new plate of fries. We did not eat those either. It's ok to get bad food sometimes at a restaurant but crappy service too means we will never go back.

The best fish, chips, and chowder I've had in a long time!!! I will be a regular! Friendly staff and the environment is warm and inviting! Will tell everyone about it!

Was in Snohomish for pie and saw this place with amazing reviews and decided to try it for lunch and we are glad we did. Menu isn't complex, a variety of seafood and chips, with 5 different choices of tacos. Beyond the basics they have interesting choices of other options such as seafood wraps. They also had specials that were separate from the menu but offered a great choice beyond the basics. We ordered and within minutes the restaurant was filled with an amazing smell coming from the kitchen and our food arrived shortly after that. Popcorn shrimp was beautifully seasoned and melted in your mouth. Fish tacos were a little lacking on the fish but made up in flavor. Clam chowder was light and creamy and again had surprising flavor. Service was great. Prices were a little pricy for lunch but would be great in a dinner setting. Defiantly coming back!

I love trying restaurants in walking distance of my house. Andy's is a place I have tried now twice and truly loved the food! The calamari here is super great, I had the salmon and chips and my boyfriend has tried the halibut and chips, great batter, plenty of fries. The service is quick and the seating is perfect for a nice day. Plenty of room for large parties, the outdoor area is spacious and in the perfect spot downtown. I recommend this place to anyone craving seafood. My only note would be that when I mentioned the check in for Yelp after my first visit, my waitress seem to be put off and acted like I was asking for a free cup of chowder. It was my first experience checking in with this app and I won't be doing it again.

  • J S.

The sea food is fresh, as good as it gets for the area!!! The wife ordered the Captains Seafood platter (1/2 platter - fried shrimp (2), clams strips, (2), calamari, salmon-strips (2), cod strips (2), scallop (1) and fresh cut fries, lemon slices, cocktail tartar sauce, plenty enough for two with leftovers. The clam chowder is full of clams and very hearty served with a bag of oyster crackers. Oysters are fresh (see picture taken in a Styro foam-to go). There are great selection on the menu to mention. Good selection of local draft beer and wine. The place is small and parking is limited. Don't forget to check in at Yelp for a free cup of chowder.

Super nice owner (Chef Andy) and staff. Love the location. Nicely prepared fresh seafood, chowder and great salads. Love the BBQ oysters and the Po-boys. Andy uses fresh and local oysters and clams! I need to make more visits to this yummy & quaint local joint. Check out the free chowder with check- in offer!

We had a nice Sunday afternoon meal at Andy's! We loved sitting outside. The food was good and the service was fast. They were out of oysters which was quite disappointing to my husband, but that just means we will have to go back. Snohomish is such a great little town, so on a sunny day, nothing beats eating a good meal outside and strolling the streets. The only downside was that the fries are pretty soggy / not cooked to crispiness. If you like them soft and mushy you'll like them. My son wouldn't eat them at all and he usually devours fries. Maybe if they left them in the fryer longer?

    (4)
  • Chris S.

We stopped in, not sure what to expect. Seafood places can be so hit or miss. We were pleasantly surprised by Andy's Fish House. Andy, son of the original owners, has obviously made some investments into the restaurant and the menu and it has really paid off. The chowder is very good and I enjoyed the fish & chips. The onion rings were a bit over done, but still good and the Crab Louie Salad was better than most. If I ordered the salad again, I would have them toss it in the dressing. Overall, we will be back. Isn't that the highest praise for a restaurant with so many options nearby?!

  • Bella F.

I am a fairly regular patron here and this was the first time I left somewhat disappointed. The clam chowder was wonderful as usual but the fish and chips just wasn't up to par. The cod was cut in narrow long strips and had a really thick coating of breading on it. It also seemed extra crunchy like they used the onion ring breading or something. Not sure what happened but it just wasn't as good as usual.

  • Kristin H.

Really, really good! We stopped by for lunch after spending the morning at a nearby pumpkin patch. I had the oyster poboy with clam chowder. Both the sandwich and the soup were fantastic. My kids got the fish and chips and the chicken strip basket, and they both disappeared before I could taste them. My 4 year old daughter is normally pretty picky, but she said the chicken was the best she'd ever had! Service was nice and quick too. We'll be back next time we are in town!

  • Alison P.

Great place to eat, everything tastes very fresh. The service was great, didn't take long to get the food. It's nice to sit outside on a warm evening because running along the trellises are tiny wee hoses that spray an ultra fine mist of water that is almost dissipated by the time it hits you but is just right for cooling you off. I'll be back!

  • Phyllis F.

Loved the food Clam chowder was so delicious. Had bowlful of mussels in a garlic sauce which melted in your mouth. The owner took the time to greet us at the table and was very welcoming. I will be sure to come back. If you have not been here you are missing out on delicious seafood.

Great seafood spot, casual bar seating inside and patio seating. Service was excellent, helpful and friendly. Had the seafood combo wrap, think it's a 12" tortilla as the photo doesn't do it justice. Delicious! Salmon, scallops, shrimp, prawn, sautéed veggies, all perfectly cooked. Chowder also tasty, free cup with Yelp check in! Looking forward to next visit.

My sister and I ordered the grilled barbecued oysters. They came stone cold with a dab of barbecue sauce on them. Very disgusting...

My book club group met here to discuss our monthly read (7 total). Free street parking can be found. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Think Buzz Inn when dining here. One must seat themselves as well as order and pay at the counter. Once your order has been placed you are handed a number to take back to your table. Delivery of the food is literally the only service provided here. Outdoor seating is available. The tables and chairs are all utility type furniture (hard white plastic) that can be easily hosed down. Two options of brew were on draft: Mac & Jack and Big E's IPA for $4.50 a pint. There are several bottled beer options as well as wine options. One gal in our group ordered a glass of wine for $7 which was served in a plastic cup. For an appetizer I ordered the Shrimp Stuffed Avocado for $8: half of an avocado piled generously with salad shrimp and topped with a zesty flavorful cocktail sauce. Tasty! For my main meal I ordered the 3 piece fish (Cod) and chips for $11. The fish pieces were nice and crispy and not at all greasy. The tartar sauce was nice and dilly. Thanks Andy for allowing us to have our book club meeting here!

Really enjoyed our lunch. We always really liked Chucks but Andy's is even better. They have spiffed the place up a bit and it just feels very comfortable. It is still counter service. You order and go sit and they bring the food to you. Fish was excellent and the fries are perfect. Very friendly service also.

  • Jim F.

Really enjoyed Andy's Fish House. The people are very nice and the atmosphere is very inviting. The food is fried, but great flavor and fresh, and lots of variety. The oyster stew was excellent and the clam chowder had great flavor, though could have used more clams. Definitely a good place to stop in and sit for a while.

Best place! Stop in and try any of their fish tacos, po'boys, fish n chips. Summer time out in the patio with live music all in quaint down town Snohomish.

Great local place to stop in for some fresh seafood. Fun, funky, casual dining by the lazy Snohomish River. We've tried everything from the traditional fish and chips (yummy) to oysters on the half shell (local and fresh). You won't be disappointed if you're a seafood lover. We've taken a large group of 13 down and they made it happen on the fly. Large table and food produced pronto! Thank you, Bronn, Andy and staff..you rock!

Went on Mothers Day 2015. First time going since Chuck handed it down to his son Andy. I grew up in SE Alaska and admit I am a seafood snob. This is one of the few places I will go for fish n chips, salmon, halibut, shrimp, etc. It was packed and once we were seated had to wait a bit to be noticed as we were at the table outside it's hard to see on the 1st Ave side. Once we received our menues, our order was but up in line to make up for it and our drinks were never below half. Hubby doesn't care for seafood and still enjoys their fish n chips. Generous portions as well.

Always great seafood. I have been coming here for well over 10 years. Andy is keeping up an awesome tradition.

  • Gregory M.

I tried the cod and halibut fish and chips. The tarter sauce was mild and creamy with a touch of dill. The halibut was firm and the breading stayed where it belonged. The cod was moist and light. They were both full of flavor and fresh. The fries or chips were fresh cut and to die for. I enjoyed my clam chowder as well. Stop by and check it out. The outdoor dining is fun and open with full views of the Main Street and great for people watching while your friends shop. The service was great as well. There were were 9 of us and everyone was happy with the meal.

This place was a great find! The oyster shooters were some of the best I have had and the combo seafood wrap was surprisingly packed with flavor.

This was a great little stop. We had shooters, calamari, fish and chips, and fish tacos. We were hungry can you tell? Everything was fresh and sooo good. We will be back sooner rather than later! Stop in here if you love fresh seafood, great service, and converted gas stations turned restaurants. Can't wait till it's warm to sit outside on the patio!

We live in Snohomish, but had not been to this restaurant until last week, when the sun came out and we were looking for someplace sunny to eat. What a wonderful surprise! Enthusiastic, friendly, attentive service, and the fish tacos are fantasic! You could tell by their suggestions and recommendations that the people who work there love the food and take pride in serving it. Everything was very fresh and tasty. We've been there twice in one week now. Highly recommended.

  • Elizabeth F.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Andy's. We started with the clam chowder, which was delicious, and then we had the halibut and fries. The halibut was crispy and the fries were fresh cut and very tasty. We will definitely be coming back here.

  • Erica F.

Fantastic, fresh seafood. Just wish they had a lunch menu with some lower priced options. But the service was great. Coffee was delicious, and my meal was one of the best (seafood wrapper with scallops) I've had in Snohomish. My dad had the beer battered fish n chips, and loved them! Crispy and delicious. We will be back often.

New owner has done a great job, not that Chuck didn't have it going on. It's hard to improve on perfection but Andy has! Strong menu, alcohol and great service! Corey is a shining star!

  • Clayton C.

Came to this restaurant from recommendation from my uncle. Definitely was not disappointed with my fish and chips. This is not a cheap place by any means, prepare to pay at least 15 bucks a person and if your not a seafood lover don't bother coming (although the chicken strips were pretty good). So besides being a little pricey, there was good portion sizes and it was a great outside seating area (inside without ac and hot). I'll most likely go back.

Craving for seafood? Then go to Andy's fish house. You'll be glad that you did. I don't have to say much other than 5 stars all the way!!!!

  • Robbie J.

If you're swinging through Snohomish, this is the one restaurant you don't want to miss. Yes, it's *that* good. We're locals and when we have guests come through, we know we can bring them to Andy's and knock their socks off. The food is off-the-charts delicious and the folks behind the counter are equally as friendly. They use fresh, top-quality ingredients and charge fair prices. Food that'd cost $15-30 elsewhere runs half that at Andy's plus they sauté where others deep-fry, so you walk away feeling great and wondering how soon you'll be able to make it back. Give it a try, you're going to love it!

I'm not sure how this place has so many good reviews as my experience here was quite lousy. First off, I don't eat seafood. Ya I know it's a seafood restaurant but that's what the family picked and I called on the phone in which the woman I talked to said they offer a ribeye steak. Awesome! Get there for dinner and order the ribeye and it comes with salad or French fries, but not both. Hmmm, usually steaks come with mashed potatoes or a baked potato and veggies? Anyway, I order the ribeye medium rare and a Caesar salad and side of fries. Out first comes the Caesar salad, which looks delicious. Disappointment soon sets in... the salad is soggy from the amount of Caesar dressing used and the consistency is very thin, similar to water. Out next comes the steak. Right away I notice it looks overdone. I take a bite and while it was on the tender side, it was more like medium well and it had no flavor. There was no seasoning, no salt and pepper or nothing. On top of that, part of the steak is crispy and it sat on the plate by itself in the puddle of oil it was cooked in. Typically I like a nice tender steak, medium rare and with lots of flavor and seasoning and while I know this is a seafood restaurant, this steak was not even close to being worth the $18 it cost. I told my waitress that I wanted something else... the only non seafood item other than the steak is chicken tenders. What, no burger or chicken or pasta or anything? I told the waitress I was done with the steak and wanted the chicken tenders instead, in which I won't give a review on chicken tenders as they're all the same. Then the bill comes and the waitress charges me for both the steak and chicken tenders. I explain to her that I wasn't satisfied with the steak and that was my reason for taking it back and ordering something else. "oh" was all she said. I won't be back here. For $18 a steak should be quite tasty. It seemed like a decent cut of beef as it was somewhat tender. Get someone here who knows how to cook a steak or offer a burger or something else non-seafood and I'd come back, not until then though.

Wonderful, fresh seafood, great menu and specials. Owners/chefs talented and great customer service. The place is very bright and light and has a boat house feel, like it should be sitting at a marina. Love that! Their menu almost has cajun/southern roots with the oyster po-boys and blackened fish tacos. But they have the classics of fish and chips with either white fish (whatever is in season) and salmon. Love a place that has salmon fish and chips! Anyway, the french fries are fresh hand-cut and the breading on the fried items is very light. I have a food allergy, but wanted the oyster po-boy and so the chef went the extra mile and made a homemade dressing to accomodate and he did this without me asking. Sooooo very nice. They have our loyalty for that, but also because the food is excellent. I can't wait to go back and try the blacked fish tacos and some of the specials like whole crab etc. Also, their chowder is next on our list to try. Thanks guys for giving us a new go-to neighborhood place in Snohomish!

My family went here the other day, I wanted to give 3 stars based on the service but 5 for the food! I do not like sea food and I am from California in an area where the clam chowder is award winning, and by far the clam chowder here is THE BEST i've EVER had! The others loved the halibut tacos and the chicken strips are also the best I've ever had. Theres something for everyone here. I will be returning, I just hope the wait staff is a little better.

I love this place and hit it every time we're near Snohomish. I'll also make a special trip just to eat here and bring family from out of town. My favorite are the grilled shrimp tacos. The sauce has a great kick and you can order them grilled or fried and trust me, if you're health conscious you lose out on NOTHING ordering them grilled. Also, the clam strips are the best I've ever had. The fries are great, hand cut and not greasy. My FIL owned restaurants for years, I know how hard great fries are to make. We also had the stuffed avocado appetizer - wonderfully fresh with a huge pile of crab meat. Great way to start the meal. My only (hopefully) constructive feedback would be the seat yourself/order at the counter system. This works great if someone is there to hand you a menu and let you know to come to the counter but if it is your first visit and you manage to seat yourself w/o talking to someone you might find yourself waiting for a wait staff who doesn't know you're there. On one recent visit I saw a customer complain to the waiter about this exact thing - not the waiter's fault but he got the brunt of the customer's irritation. And last, servers are quick to clear your table, which can make you feel rushed and interrupt conversation when they come back repeatedly. I can understand if the place is busy but this was after lunch rush and there were several open tables. Give your diners some space, they may stay and even order another round of beers ;-)

It was good! Husband had scallops and chips, which were exceptional. Son had fish and chips, and devoured them. My cioppino was flavorful, and the salmon in it was my favorite part.... but they used way too many mussels for my liking, and were out of bread (which is a must, for the broth)... I'm kind of a cioppino critic, I guess. The prawn cocktail app was delish, because their cocktail sauce is dynamite. Love their outdoor seating, for sure.

Never been before!, Loved it! Bronne (aka Maynard) was our server. Loved him. Got to sit and visit with my dearest friend and have REALLY good Fish n Chips. We stayed I am sure longer than most with, since we were catching up on each others lives. Some may think it is kinda spendy, but with fresh food you get what you pay for. And it was fresh! Also brought the hubby the 1/2 captains plate. Now I think we will be going there soon together. Thanks for the great service and sense of humor Bronn!

After reading the reviews and a recommendation from our daughter we excitedly went to Andy's on a Saturday evening. The place was busy but not full by any means. We ordered a bowl of clam chowder which was very good and fresh. My husband order the halibut fish and chips. The fish was done nicely but the fries were cold and soggy :-( and just by a glance you could tell they were so why the waitress or cook served those to us was a bit disappointing to say the least. I ordered the salmon cesear. The salmon was nice and moist but the cesear dressing was very runny like a soup on my plate and no parmesean cheese on top! So with the disappointing meal came a VERY disappointing waitress. She was soooo slow to bring our drinks. And than it took a very long time for our chowder and even longer to get our meals .The whole time she looked lost and confused and somewhat rude. ( want any thing else)..instead of asking if we would like dessert or????? Even using different more polite wording would have been nice. Needless to say we left very disappointed and not at all satisfied.

The food and service get a well-deserved five! The Captain's Platter was delicious, as was the chowder. Our waitress performed very well under a lot of pressure (she was the only server on Valentine's Day; yikes!). She was very friendly and accommodating, especially given how busy it was. Unfortunately, we were seated at the table next to the front door, which is constantly being opened and not always closed. I don't think the kitchen has an exit, so the employees were constantly having to use the door to get supplies, which are apparently kept outside. In the summer, this would not be an issue, but in February, it makes for a chilly meal. Otherwise, things were fantastic. Well done! We will be back!

Great! I had the Fish and Chips (Halibut and fries) and added on a fried oyster. The Halibut was so fresh and the fries were great. I'd never tried a fried oyster before and that was good as well. My wife got a seafood gumbo dish, which she thought was really good and loved the spice. We got the kids popcorn shrimp. This was good as well though a little salty. Will definitely return.

Fantastic place for seafood! We were really happy to discover this nearby gem. The prawn tacos, fried clams, and shrimp appetizer are amazing. Great fries too!

I highly recommend the fish and chips here! The batter is not greasy or too thick, it was absolutely delicious. Fries were really good too. I also had an oyster, good but not cleaned very well. Prices seem a little high but it is downtown Snohomish, and the fish is good quality. Staff are friendly, but they forgot part of our order and never mentioned we had to order at the counter when they brought us menus. One of the owners talked with us a little and was very welcoming. Overall I would go back!

Made a pitstop to meet my parents for dinner - seriously one of the best fish and chips places I've ever been to. The breading was crunchy and delicious, the chowder was incredible, and the root beer on tap was to die for. Plus, the service was great! I'll be sure to make my way back, even from Bellingham.

I really wanted to like this place. Service was slow. We were told to sit anywhere and someone would be right with us. We waited 10-15 minutes and I finally got up to ask for menus. She said,"Oh! I'll be right there". She came a few minutes later with menus. We noticed others were being seated and given menus immediately so maybe it was a miscommunication??? We had to ask for a refill on our drinks. They never showed up. Another waitress finally came by and asked if we needed refills. The food was just ok. The fish po boy was ordered as half shrimp/half fish. It came as all fish. Not a huge deal but not what we ordered. The fish and chips was a little greasy and the fries were really soggy and could have used another few minutes in the fryer. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. It was sunny and nice. Not letting a poor experience ruin the day but it could have been better. Employees were friendly but they seemed unorganized and "new". Maybe we will try again???? Not sure.....

Had no idea that there was this great street in Snohomish with good eats and other shops. Chowder is great! Salad is good - my husband had that. Our friend bought the most expensive thing between all of us. It was some kind of a wrap with a rainbow/variety of seafood - so yummy. The two brothers who worked there/owned the place were very friendly and gracious. I will be back.

The fish is fresh, hand prepared daily and cooked to perfection. My friends, family and myself dine here often. The Captain's plate is plentiful and filled with an array of seafood and homemade fries. Not greasy! The clam chowder is rich, creamy and full of clams! My mom had the shrimp wrap for her birthday dinner, and said it was very, very good! Compliments on the fish tacos and shrimp cocktail, too. My honey surprised me with the lobster tail! It was delicious, so pretty on the plate, and worth every penny. The scallops are flown in from the East Cost and are unbelievably sweet and tender. Andy's can compete with some of the best seafood restaurants around! You won't find me driving to the waterfront in Everett, Mukilteo or Edmonds for seafood. I will be right here enjoying the food, service and live music (and a glass of wine, too!)

Came here on a Sunday. Waited over 50 minutes for my food. Looks like there was only 1 cook.....food is just mediocre and portion size is small for price. Service and quality has gone down since it changed from Chuck's to Andy's.

If I could give this place zero stars I would! My husband and I decided to try this place for the first time. We go into the restaurant and not knowing the protocol we were told to just sit anywhere by a snappy guy. Fine whatever, we just brush that off. We sit ourselves and notice that there is another table waiting for their order to be taken. Then walks in another table of 2 and a table of 4. Both the other tables that walked in after us got their orders taken. Meanwhile us and the other table were still left waiting. Neither of us were ever acknowledged even though 2 separate waitress walked by us multiple times to other tables. They refused to even look our direction. The table before us ended up walking out without the staff even noticing. Soon after we walked out as well. I told the waitress why we were walking out and she didn't even seem to care. We will never spend our money and will never be back.

absolutely the freshest fish. The chowder is wonderful. I try to go about once a month and try something different. Last trip in I wanted clam strips to my surprise I was asked if I would like razor clam strips,,,,,,,Heck yea I did and OMG the best I've ever had. The owner Andy and staff are friendly and just want you to have a great meal that will bring you back time and time again. So glad your in my home town :

First time in tonight and glad I finally made it after so many people have suggested it. The customer service was on point and friendly, the food was quick and good and not overly priced for a fish bar. Ill be back.

This place has been hit or miss. I've been there twice now since it has become Andy's Fish House. The first time was really good. We went in the early afternoon, around 1 PM. Service was friendly, the servers were chatty and helpful and the portions were HUGE. The price was a bit high, but the portions more than made up for it. The salad was huge, large enough for three people, the fish pieces large and the baskets overflowing with fries. The second time, not so much. The fish pieces were rather small, about half the size of the previous time. The portion of fries was rather small. The fish and fries didn't even fill up half a basket. I ordered the prawns and fries, they were cooked well, but there was only four of them. For sixteen dollars, I would expect at least a couple of more, or at least more fries to make me think I'm getting sixteen dollars worth of food. We were there around 7 PM. One person ordered the popcorn shrimp, not my favorite, but it was the best dish on the table. They were cooked perfectly and didn't have the same batter as the fish or prawns. They were tasty. I may give it another shot. I may not. I could have had something to do with the time of day, maybe a different cook or a different person cutting the portions of fish. Who knows. You could probably do better somewhere else, but in Snohomish, you could easily do worse.

One word says it all: fantastic! I am a huge fan of steamed manila clams, but have driven for miles for them, only to find sand as my reward. This place not only served completely sand-free clams, but the service was perfect too! And it's right down the street! We also split the clam chowder and fish and chips, all of which was done to perfection and tasted great, and not greasy at all! The river view from the outdoor patio was the icing on this cake. If you're in Snohomish, try this place, especially at sunset. It rocks!

The food here is really great. The only complaint I have is the size of popcorn shrimp. They are extremely small; should be called micro shrimp instead. I don't even recommend them for children because they are so small. They also have some of the best chowder I have ever had

Great fish and chips. The fish is freshly battered and light. The fries are nicely seasoned, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. They have live music on certain days and when the sun is out, it is a perfect place to sit enjoy a fun meal outdoors while listening to great music.

The family and I went on a Sunday for lunch, and it was a great choice. The atmosphere is relaxing, with plenty of seating. We sat outside on the patio because it was a beautiful day. I ordered the Captain's Plate, the wife ordered and sandwich, we got a chowder, and the kids ate from both our plates. The food was extremely good and was fresh. We will definitely be back for more.

I'll just go ahead and get to the facts. This is the first time I've eaten here and this was one of the best fish n' chips I've ever had. The hand cut fries were delicious. The cod was so fresh and sweet, perfectly breaded, and fried to the perfect golden brown. The tartar sauce is great. I also had a cup of chowder and it was absolutely wonderful and had a great flavor balance and wasn't overly salty at all. All things said I will eat here again. I'd like to say I'll try something else, but I may have to get the cod fish n' chips one more time before I move on to try something else. Yes, the fish n' chips were that good!

We decided on seafood for dinner Saturday and Chucks seafood Grotto was a place we hadn't been to in years so we thought why not. Upon pulling up to Andy's we where a little worries to say the least! We actually thought about going somewhere else, can you believe it, glad we didn't. Once you walk up and meet the staff and Andy as well as his uncle who was pimpin the BBQ oysters we were hooked. The food was good but it was feeling you got in there that made things great. The crawfish boil was a hit with the family as well as the oysters on the half shell. Andy you need to get those small morsels set as an each as well as by the dozen or half dozen as well! The captains platter was also a perfect meal for 2 adults. We'll be back, see you soon!

My wife and I decided to try this interesting place to eat on the spur of the moment - we liked it - the help was very courteous and friendly and we spent some time talking to Ron, the owner I had a Caesar salad with prawns - I was surprised at the price ($2.00 for each prawn) - but they were large, butter-flyed and well cooked and seasoned - my wife had fish & chips which were delicious (slight garlic breading) - the chips are about the best I've ever had with a wonderful tartar sauce We started to eat in the breezeway in front of the ordering area - that wasn't a good idea as there's a wind tunnel effect when both doors are open - we moved outside and were comfortable Overall, I'd give this good marks, they earned it

Jen you should give it another try. Andy is one of Chucks son's and I know he's really trying to make it great. I would like to see better chips with the fish and chips. Dont know if they're frozen or not... But not very crispy.
