Absolutely LOVE this place! My wife and I go here for "date night" a couple times a month. A pitcher of beer, a huge plate of pasta apiece, and a shared dessert usually comes out to around $60. Less than what you'd pay at a certain Italian restaurant chain, and way more delicious. They have less of a selection - no appetizers, for example - but that allows them to focus on what they do have and be as good as they are at it. I usually get the Brent's Special, while my wife gets the pesto with chicken. Chicken has never been overcooked, unlike a lot of places that throw it in the pasta, and portions of everything are super-generous; I've gotten shrimp a couple of times with my dish, and I swear there's at least as much shrimp as there is pasta. We've had their pizza a couple times and the toppings are absolutely loaded on there, they don't skimp on anything, and it's easy to eat half of a large without realizing it because it tastes so good. And the service! Even the one time we went to get dinner when our power was out, and the place was packed and their computer system was in the midst of re-booting and they had a huge 30+ person party in the back room, we got our drinks fast, our food a lot faster than we anticipated, and got checked on a couple of times to make sure we were doing okay. On a normal day, expect at least one visit from the manager to say hello and ask how your food is, and I've only had one waitress who wasn't super-friendly (but haven't seen her again). It's not super-fancy, definitely more of a casual place for family or to hang out with friends, but the laid-back atmosphere is part of the appeal. There are a few regulars and almost everyone familiar with the place is pretty laid back about getting service and their food and don't grumble if it's an extra-busy night. If you're going to spend money on Italian food, spend it here. Good people, good food, good ambiance.

Spiro's is a good neighborhood eatery. Prices seem a little high for the quality of food. Penne with marinara meat sauce + salad - 14.50. The ten inch pizza with artichoke & sundried tomatoes was very good. Tables are clean and service is prompt. Not crazy about the fact that you can hear pizza dough being pounded (kitchen is just on the other side of a half wall) and names being called out (not sure what that was about). But all in all it is an ok restaurant for an area of shoreline that doesn't have a lot of options left. Good for a quick bite but i wouldn't pick it for a first date or date night.

The quality of this pizza is worth the price. This pizza is indeed delicious! I have been a customer for six year and they have always had my pizza ready in a prompt manner. I am a picky eater and in the Seattle area, this is one of the better pizza places I have tried. :D The chefs are usually Mexicans and they do a fantastic job making the pizza! :D

First time here, we ordered calzones. They are HUGE so make sure you are hungry. We had to come back for a second visit after a long day at the zoo and they have awesome pizza. We ordered two 7 inch pizzas for carryout and it was fast and inexpensive. Only cost $15 and tasted way better than any pizza chain. Highly recommended if you are visiting Seattle and the surrounding area.

This is a below average restaurant. The pizza was nothing special and has lots and lots of cheese caked on without much sauce. Imagine just eating a huge mozzarella stick without any sauce. We got the wings as well and they were poor quality as well.

As my first review, I'm choosing an easy target. My family and I have been going to Spiro's for years. I had my sixteenth birthday party in the back, 15 years ago! The one constant has been their service... and their pizza. So, two constants. The pizza should be the main reason that you're going to this place, its different from other joints in that it's like a thin, deep dish 'za. It's also the best next day pizza, that you can eat cold, you're gonna find in the state. The reason you should hit them up for dinner tonight, is the service. Don't take it togo! Come on, what's good togo? Grab the fam or some friends and go enjoy a super friendly and attentive wait staff. People who seem to enjoy their jobs and an owner that's usually roaming around making friends. In sum, order the pizza (my favorite is the #14 hot) order some vino and make some friends. Don't forget to grab a sucker on your way out.

We really like Spiros! It is unlike most pizza joints as it has a Greek flair. The pies, pastas, salads, and calzones are all worth trying! My only complaint is that it is very Greek-centric. But there is plenty for others to enjoy too!

I've had Spiro's once when someone got a big lasagna for an event, but other than that, I've never been in the restaurant or tried any of their other dishes until last night. I came in around 5:15 with my mom and aunt. We came at the perfect time since we scored the last booth and didn't have to wait! Everything on the menu seemed good to me, so it took me a few minutes to decide what I wanted. I ordered tortellini with pesto sauce, which was excellent. Their salads that come before the entrees were great too. My mom created her own pizza and I tried some of that, which was pretty tasty as well. Everyone was nice and you can tell that the employees were working hard. The place was busy but we didn't get ignored or neglected at all. I'll come back again!

Really great pizza here! Probably some of our favorite pizza in the area. Very cheesy, with toppings underneath the cheese, which I prefer. Service is friendly and quick. Heh, we always get the cheese bread appetizer, which always feels a little silly since the pizza we're having for our meal is just a different kind of cheese bread, but it's really tasty, so I never really regret it.

This was my review.. Until i talked to manager Evan. He changed my tone of my experience and is sending me a giftcard. He genuinely seemed concerned about what happened and offered to make it right. That is good service. Spiros seemed like a perfect choice for a suprise party. I called two weeks ahead and was told you needed a bigger party to have the back room. I made a call and the very next day.. They said there was no minimum number of people. It was the amount. You had to spend 150 dollars. My party spent over 400 dollars but they wouldnt give us the room. Nobody in our party could talk because we were wedged in like sardines. The manager did not follow through on anything she promised. It was a big flub up start to finish. But read above. They made it right!

We visited here one evening on vacation. It was kinda a spur of the moment decision since it was conveniently located to where we were. The service was pleasant, the wait not too long, and the atmosphere cozy with a twinge of romance. Price was very reasonable. The pizza we chose had sunflower seeds on it. Odd, to a Kansan, but absolutely delicious! Next pizza I make at home will have them, assuredly.

  • Ivan R.

I don't give bad reviews lightly, but this place deserves it. Shit service through and through. Attitude on the phone from the self righteous dick that took my order and attitude from what seemed like the owner or manager lady at the register. I worked at a full service pizza place for almost two years and yes, it sucks, but we never treated a kind customer like that. Never coming back and happy about that decision. Worst 50 dollars for two pizzas I've ever spent.

Seriously the best gluten free/dairy free pizza! My favorite!! It makes not being able to have a traditional "pizza" so satisfying. YUM!

  • Harsha G.

They are a pizza joint stick to getting a pizza and you will walk away with a smile. Service is friendly, attentive and very warm (like a local family owned restaurant should) Amazing artichoke, sun dried tomato pizza, love their garlic bread. Pasta comes with both a salad and a side of bread or you can replace the salad with a soup, but as tempting as it might sound, stay away from the pasta, just get the pizza. Salad and dressing(made in house) pretty good, bread great but pasta is meh Will be going bck for more pizza..

My hubby and I tried this place for the first time after signing papers for our new home. We decided we should try something in our new neighborhood. We were glad we stopped by here! People who worked here were very nice and welcoming. And the pizza's we ordered were absolutely delicious! We will definitely be bringing our boys back here for sure! Great family atmosphere!

I love Spiro's! The food is great and the staff is awesome. Manny was great! We had our 1 year old with us and there was spaghetti everywhere when we were done with dinner. Manny refused to let me crawl around the table on my hands and knees picking it up, I was mortified to leave that kind of a mess but he insisted that they would take care of it. He had the kid laughing and smiling all night. Service is always fast and friendly and we love the pizza!!

Love Spiro's! Been going there for years and always treated like dear friends. Great going someplace these days where you are recognized and get reliably awesome service. Friday dinner time is predictably busy, oftentimes with people willing to wait and overflow the entry and out the doors. Always has a newspaper and box of children's books up front to occupy you during the wait. I tend to find something I like and only get that one item. For years it was the veggie sub, now I have moved on to my personal version of the Hawaiian pizza. The kids love the pizzas and pastas and can get regular size dishes in child's portions. Everyone loves the fresh salads! Great group space in the back for parties-always seems to be booked with a large family event or sports team celebration. Bonus is a basket of Tootsie Pops to choose from on your way out

Family friendly and family operated restaurant. Small hometown feel. Food is amazing we are never disappointed.

  • Kazuo O.

This place was packed on a Sunday evening due to the Seahawks win. The atmosphere is like a Denny's version of a pizza place. Ordered the house special and the Hawaiian pizza. The crust is a bit bland to me. overall it was just A-OK. Don't order the spaghetti. It didn't look too appetizing and my friend didn't really like it.

Love this place! The best pizza and pasta and perfect for family dining or just for one for a delicious lunch or dinner. Look for Manny--he's worth the visit alone--his serving style is so entertaining--we look forward to seeing him every time. The anti pasta salad is great and so is Brent's special. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

Our party of 8 plus baby felt welcomed and appreciated while we celebrated two birthdays this evening. We are a pretty boisterous group I hope we did not upset anyone. Food came quickly. Wait staff was very cooperative providing plates, silverware and napkins for a cake that was carried in.

Great family run place with really good food. You feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. There is always a family member working or available. I have never had an issues, and love the food. My kids love the food and the servers as well. The prices may be higher than dominos, but it's not dominos! It's really good hand made and fresh. It's not frozen dough with cheap cheese and pepperoni. I go as often as I can!

My family and I love this place. The employees are ALWAYS so warm, inviting and friendly. They make you feel like family. Great food. There hasn't been a dish that has let any of us down. We will continue to enjoy this restaurant. Thanks Spiro's.

First visit last night. My impression: how welcome I felt as I walked in the door. The staff is so warm and friendly: from the fellow who greeted us at the door and set up our table, to our outstanding waitress, Anita, and even the bus people, I liked that a lot. The restaurant was quite busy at 5:00pm. We, seven of us, ate early as we were going to see my granddaughter's musical "Beauty and the Beast" at 7:00. We ordered around 5:15 and were done and gone in just under an hour...we had two kids along. We ordered a Greek salad which five of us shared and it was just the right size to stimulate our appetites. We had a large pizza, the particular name I don't remember but it had pineapple and sausage on it among other things, and a small pizza, which I think was #24, topped with various meats. Both were extremely fresh hot out of the oven and were quite tasty. The bill was really quite reasonable $75 including tax and tip to feed five adults and two kids...salad, pizzas, and beer/wine. Spiro's is way on the other side of town for me so I won't be there too often but I certainly will think about it when I am over that way.

This is a real community restaurant. The waitstaff is always friendly and the environment is bright and comfortable. Average food, but an extra star for the fabulous service.

This restaurant was within walking distance of my home. So one hot summer night in August I decided why not walk down there and get some pizza! It was good, but not something that I was in love with and blew me away. For thar reason I will probably not be returning just because there are other pizza places I am all starry eyed about and would prefer to spend my money there. How ever, I am giving them a good rating because it was really busy when we came in and they seated is quite quickly and got the pizza out to us on a timely matter!

Its got the three musts: great service with great food for a great price. I always get the pizza and its filling and delicious. My boyfriend adores the various pastas. The fact that it all comes with a side of garlic bread is just the icing on the cake. The service is always so friendly and makes us smile and laugh.

Took my family for dinner a few nights ago. The pizza and sandwiches tend to be scorched here. By that I mean a bit burned and some people like that but I do not. I had a meatball sandwich which was not very good and the bread was burned so I did not eat much of it. The waitress noted and took it off the bill to her credit. My son did not mind the scorched pizza. My wife's salad was OK. Venice Pizza has a tiny dining area but they deliver and the pizza is much better.

Food is pretty poor and staff are very rude and unpleasant . Came here with two young kids , took them 40 min to bring food had to ask for colours and the waiters make you feel like they are doing you a huge favour talking to you . Would not recommend it

    (1)
  • Sandy B.

This place by far the best pizza I have had in a long time . The hostess greeted me with a big smile , services was good . It was little more than dominoes but not even in the same league . Very filling we had to take some home . It's my new favorite place to eat . I just wish they had delivery !!

  • Sara K.

Their Spiro pizza is pretty good, but I've been disappointed every time I order pasta from them. It lacks flavor and tastes bland. I prefer their red or pesto sauce dishes to their cream sauces. I've only ordered take out though, so I can't comment on their service.

  • Daniel L.

Unimaginative menu serving a variety of mediocre options. This is one of those places that practically everyone in Shoreline knows and has visited, even habitually. Many of the items equate to a Denny's-style Italian offering. Flavor profiles are absent in most of the food. The pizza is okay, the crust absolutely sucks. It is seriously one of the worst crusts I've ever had. Frozen pizza usually comes out better. Their starter salads frequently have brown edges on the iceberg lettuce. This means the lettuce is bag sourced, lazy much? The simple fact this that place hasn't dissolved is decidedly the lack of surrounding competitors. Richmond Beach dwellers virtually don't have a choice; drive considerably further for great food or travel up the street to Spiros for "just" food. The most impressive offering is the ranch/blue cheese salad dressing mixture. Doesn't sound ultra-inventive, I know- but it works and is really good.

As if they need another rave review, but it is well deserved and long overdue. A great place with friendly staff and great food, a family favorite for us.

Great pizza with a very friendly staff. My fiance is gluten free so we always get the gluten free crust and I enjoy the pizza just as much as she does. Fresh ingredients and always quick and easy to go pick up and take home.

I ordered a large pizza to go and got a tasteless pizza. If the price was under $6.00 I wouldn't even care, but they charged me over $19. This restaurant has good reviews overall. Perhaps the pasta dishes are delicious. Maybe I'm just spoiled from the cheap and delicious pizza from CA. I will have to try different pizza spots!

We went to Spiro's on the recommendation of a friend. The atmosphere is comfortable, the restaurant is clean. The hostess seated us efficiently and we were brought water to our table immediately. All of the staff came across as genuinely warm and friendly. A simple mistake was made with our order, and the waitress and a senior staff member (?owner, ?manager) remedied it quickly and extremely politely. The cheese bread is just like grandma used to make! And the pizza was delicious! Buttery, flaky crust of just the right thickness and golden brown. It was piled with perfectly melted cheese and the ingredients were fresh and not soggy. We each had enough left for another meal and it is priced extremely reasonably. We definitely plan to go there again!

    (5)
  • Benjamin B.

The pizza was mediocre, nothing to complain about for a cheap medium size pizza except it was F#%^ing $17!!! That is absurd!!! I ordered Two medium two topping pizza from dominos the night before and they delivered them to my house for $22 and they where of clearly higher quality. How this place thinks it can charge people $17 for a shitty medium pizza is beyond me. They need to get there act together and realize they are a ghetto place on aurora and charge appropriately.

  • Dennis M.

This place is amazing. The service is extremely friendly and fast. Their food is reasonably priced and delicious! One of the things that really gets me about this restaurant is that Evan, the owner of Spiro's, always seems to be there and he knows everybody. If you eat there regularly he will remember you and he makes a point to come and chat for a couple minutes before your food arrives. Spiro's is a great local restaurant!

Stopped in to grab some pizza, looked like it might be good, and it was. Didn't get a chance to try any of the specialty pizzas, but the pizza we did try had full flavor, and was very savory, good sauce. The wait staff was very helpful. I also think they have one waiter that just filled water, which was very handy because I never like to be without water when I am eating. I did think about giving this 4 stars, but then I thought, there wasn't anything that I could find that I was disappointed with. Great pizza and great service.

  • Carol B.

Great Food, Good service! Great for bringing young children, crayons and paper available! I find it to be a bit expensive for a family, it is very clean, staff is friendly, but it can get very noisy with larger parties. They do have a party room available which holds a large group of people, excellent for meetings as well as birthday parties. Some may find the cost of some items expensive, but the food is excellent, and fresh.

Spiro's is FANTASTIC. Every time my wife and I set foot in there we're greeted with a hearty greeting by one of the happiest employees we've ever met (don't know his name, we just call him "Big Guy"). :-) When we request the Shrimp Salad, and we tell them to please put a lot of shrimp on there, THEY AREN'T KIDDING. Can't believe how much they give us each and every time! Their pizzas are always stellar and HUGE, and the spaghetti and meatballs they serve have always been utterly delicious. We've never left there without leftovers because the serving sizes are just outlandishly good. Love you Spiro's! You're right around the corner from us with a nice ambience and absolutely delicious food, and we'll be back!

We had my 4-year old's birthday party in the banquet room in February and it was great. Everybody was very friendly and accommodating. The room full of crazy kids didn't phase them one bit! The food is great, the location convenient, and the staff awesome. I might just do this for every birthday party from now on!

  • Malky F.

Will make this short and sweet. I don't understand the excellent ratings for this place's pizza. I have given it three or four chances and every single time it's a humongous mass of cheese. Honestly, no crust, just globs upon globs of greasy cheese and pretty much nothing else as far as toppings go. I, myself, like nice firm crust and great toppings but if you like CHEESE, go for this place. Just unimpressed, sorry....

Spiros is a diamond in the rough. Every pie is incredible. The service is impeccable! I had the myzithera & browned butter-perfect! My mother had the lasagna and it's as traditional as it gets. Add salad and incredible garlic bread- best meal for you buck. You guys need to add a patio! Summer nights with my softball team out back- make it happen! Keep it up- love everything about this place!

I'll give this restaurant an "A" for Average. There is nothing exceptional here. The spaghetti and meatballs certainly weren't gourmet. Just plain old average, so if you want average c level food, it's all yours!

  • Andy V.

Evan and his team are terrific! Manuel has been our favorite waiter for years. I like it when I pick up an order to go..then leave a tip for the cooks. When that happens they toss some flash in a pan for a large flame and they all cheer..thanking me for the tip! (nice touch) We always order the Greek Spaghetti with chicken.

Don't get the pasta, they just reuse sauce for the pizza. it is a pizza joint, stick to that.

  • Emmett H.

By far my favorite pizza place. Now with that being said I have only had the pizza there but it is superb. The cheese is thick and has a thin crispy layer on top. The ingredients are hidden under the cheese which make the pizza kind of unique. Personally I enjoy biting Into the pizza without having to look at the messy toppings. Sauce is good and they don't just pile it on there which I like because it leaves more room to taste cheese and toppings. Honestly I haven't explored much beyond the pepperoni pizza but damn is it good! Great service as well. A must try for pizza lovers!!

  • Stacci L.

I've been eating here literally my whole life lol, all my sporting banquets through high school were held here. The food is always great, its not that expensive and you get more than filling portions. Staff is very welcoming, I just feel like I'm at home every time I eat here!

Food isn't really anything spectacular... Just okay. One thing I must say is that the waiter (younger woman) was extremely on point! Made our evening pleasant! Food came out in a very timely manner as well.

Spiro's is a great family owned restaurant near my neighborhood. We love going there for the pizza and pasta. I prefer the pizza since their crust is thick and chewy and the do not skimp on the toppings. The load up the cheese over the toppings so everything stays in place nicely for each bite.

    (4)
  • Christin M.

To start off, I haven't been in to sit and eat. But I do a lot of pizza takeout. It's a typical pizza joint with a roomy dining area and the staff is friendly when I go in to pick up. Which is a big plus for me. They are engaging and smiling. Now...on to the pizza. My quams with most of these pizza places is the crust. WAKE UP!!! Crust makes the pizza. I've found some of the best or popular places with dull cardboard textured crusts which really ruins the toppings. Not with Spiro's. I really love the crust and the toppings. Everything tastes fresh and the crust is good and bready. Keep it up guys.

Working as a pizza chief at an italian restaurant that dedicates itself to quality ingredients and presentation, it helps to compare how other italian restaurants do their business. Well Spiro's was a big disappoint I ordered a small pizza with jalapeno's, hot pepperoni, feta, and sun-dried tomatoes. What sounded like a pretty nifty combination, the pizza came out looking not what I expected. It looked as if someone came home, slabbed some dough and toppings together, and cooked it in an easy bake over. The cheese was some weird mozzarella-cheddar combination that seemed foreign to me. The toppings were nothing special and didn't tingle my taste buds. Just looking at the pizza itself is enough to judge it's taste I also had someTortellini in white sauce which had no character. Something I could make at home without the $12 price tag. If you're in desperate need for some italian food...you're better off cooking at home

My wife and I really enjoy this Spiro's restaurant. First off the service was fantastic!!! I think it was the manager that was waiting on us since they were short staffed that day. He was very friendly and full of energy, which was really nice to see. It was his goal to take the time and make sure our food was out quickly and to never let our water and soda go empty. I love the pizza here they are always full of toppings and delicious. I usually order a 10 in. pepperoni, sausage and olive pizza for $12.45. I love the starter house salad as well. Another very good dish is the meatball sub for $7.95. It has plenty of juicy and meaty meatballs with onions and yummy marinara sauce on delicious toasted bread. My wife really loves the tortellini with the marinara sauce for $10.95. She orders it every time we come here.

I've eaten a ton at a different Spiro's location, but only a handful of times at this one. Had a meal with the family where my parents were pleasantly surprised. They claim they hadn't eaten at the other location in 15 years (I doubt this is true), which is evidence of their dislike since they dine out a million times a week. Both claimed to love the meat sauce, my mother was also happy to find the ravioli stuffed with meat rather than cheese. I've always been a fan of their salads which come with a healthy dose of olives as I think all food should. It was nice to have our party of 6 including a baby nicely accommodated with a high chair to set the car seat on and an extra table added so we didn't have to squeeze into the booth. Our server came by to check on us a million times and make sure everything was to our liking. My father was very happy to drink his 3 refills of soda. Service was great. I intend to try some of the other salads on my next visit. I have a feeling we will be visiting her a lot in the future as this seems to be one of the closest restaurants to my brother's new house.

As of this date, I've only been here once. But I gotta say, they have some pretty tasty food up in here! When my family went it was packed to the friggin gills! (Always a good sign!) We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food - we'll return again.

I LOVE this place. I went there for a family dinner and the staff was incredible. Our waiter was so friendly, making jokes and continuously making sure that we were more than comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious! I had the spaghetti and meatballs, and generally I'm not a huge fan of spaghetti but this defeintly some of the best that I've had. The meatballs were huge and delicious. My mom ordered the lasagna, which was heavenly. Filled with cheese and broccoli, some of the best lasagna that i've tasted. I will definetely be back to try the pizza and other menu items.

17 year customer will never eat at Spiros again, sadly. We used to eat at the Silverdale location and later Shoreline. Shoreline is no good now, especially the service. But the meat sauce now tastes like it's out of a can. It used to be good, lots of fresh garlic. Our last experience was a jaw-dropper with respect to rude service staff -boisterous guy. Also errors and omissions with the food and even water, utinsiles. Done. We miss The Italian Spaghetti House!

We love Spiro's!! It has been a favorite restaurant in my family for over a decade now! In high school we went there for many many school events and in the years since, it is still one of my favorite places for Italian food! The servers are all great and many have been there for years! Manny is our fave. We usually order the same couple of things every time, but over the years I have had most things on the menu and never disliked one of them. Tortellini with pink sauce and the Chicken Doodah are the absolute best (in my completely biased opinion)!! The prices are decent and it is a very family friendly place. If you're looking for some delicious Italian food and a good community feel, this is your place! Evan, the owner and his family are there often and always friendly. Spiro's is a Shoreline gem!

I have trouble rating pizza places...maybe it's because I've still yet to find the ONE place that has the pizza I love above all others. Some places make a good pie, but I've never found a place that brings me back again and again for heavenly, fantastic pizza....so when I review them, I really don't know what to do. Does that make sense?? Anyway...nothing super spectacular about this place, but I had an enjoyable meal with some friends here. I didn't actually go with pizza this time around, although the pies my friends ate looked really good. Went with a mushroom and black olive calzone, which was pretty tasty, though certainly not the best I've ever had. Quick service, generally friendly staff, and reasonable prices. I would come back to this place again and try the pizza next time!

This is my favorite pizza joint. They don't skimp on the ingredients for sure here. The Vangeli special is my favorite and is layered with Hot pepperoni, Canadian-style bacon, Italian sausage, mushrooms, olives, green peppers, onions, mozzarella cheese. The staff is the best. They provide excellent service. They treat you like family instead of a typical customer. A large will run you about $20 but it's worth every penny.

Evan runs a tight ship and all are made welcome. Service is obviously important to the staff. Food is great.

Very solid Italian fare. My rigatoni with meat sauce pretty much just tasted like standard meat sauce and pasta. My girlfriend's jalapeno and pepperoni pizza was mmm mmm tasteee. The crust was a little soft and a little thicker then usual which we both like. The salad was fresh and crisp, although they had no Caesar option which I found disturbing. The service was good from start to finish, and most of the employees looked Italian which of course is a good thing.

Our new favorite family night out! It's very family friendly and has great food! Everyone there is really nice and the food comes quick (a must when eating out with young kids). Salads, a large pizza, a beer and two desserts were cheaper than if we had ordered pizza for delivery and we even had leftovers!

Pizza is ok, better than most, I'd say average. Crust sucks. (Sparta's in Lynnwood or Bothell, THAT'S GREAT PIZZA!) Waiter made us feel VERY RUSHED... Overall, I'd pass this place up. Expensive, poor service and average food.

My parents and I decided to try Spiro's, and based on the exterior from Google Street View, we were expecting sub-par food and sub-par service. Instead, we were met with some of the most delicious pizza all three of us have ever had, and some of the most attentive staff that we have every experienced. I'm not sure if the level of attentiveness from the staff was normal, or if they had extra staff for just this day, but my drink never got less than half full, and staff members made sure that our experience was never not enjoyable. As others have pointed out, the crust on the pizza is unique and delicious, but I also felt that the sauce was stronger and more flavorful than most other pizza joints. None of us tried the pasta, but my guess is that the pizza and salads are really the strengths of this restaurant. To conclude, A+ service, A+ food. Will visit again (probably again and again and again...)

I came here for a birthday get together. They are accommodating for large groups. I had their pasta and it was pretty good. I liked the service and I liked the large parking area. It's always nice when you don't have to pay for parking.

This is a great neighborhood place, which is great since it's in my neighborhood. We always feel welcomed, very comfortable. We always get the same things (spaghetti marinara and the #17 pizza) because frankly, that's what we like when we go there. As I said, comfortable. The staff is always very welcoming and prompt. Can't say that it's gourmet, but it's a great place to go after a ballgame or when you just want to sit, eat some decent food and relax.

I took my seven year old and several of his friends here for his birthday (along with parents). It was the first time I'd eaten at the restaurant. Our server was fantastic. The pizza was very good (though the veggie pizza - #17, maybe? was a little too heavy on the olives for my taste). We tried the tortellini with white sauce, and it went over well with all the kids. They only offer one type of crust (not for those who prefer really thin crust) but it was tasty. I think we'll be going back again as a family.

Quite honestly, this review could be boiled-down to a one--to-two-word, Gordon Ramsay-style insult. Pick your favorite: Rubbish. Bland. Flavorless. Mush. Dog's dinner. It's shit. So, my first impression of the restaurant was, 'This is a Greek-owned pizza place. Everything is going to have feta cheese on it, and the pizza isn't going to be very good. It will cost way too much for what it is.' And, sadly to say, I was 100% correct. I attended a family banquet event (a service for which the restaurant's website clearly takes pride in). I can safely say I've seen more professionally-run company picnics. The servers (who couldn't have been older than sixteen) haphazardly set food and drinks onto the table (serving the wrong people the wrong items) and called out to us like dogs; yelling and disrupting the service. "Who ordered a root beer!? I have a root beer, here!" Restauranteur pro-tip: hire servers that have the ability to remember which people ordered what items. My girlfriend's favorite pizza is a Hawaiian. We ordered one because, quite frankly, it's pretty hard to mess up. And with such a simple pizza, you can appreciate the other flavors (most notably, the dough). Well, the pizza came back, announced by an older woman (I assume the manager) as "Large, number twelve!?" She did this with every pizza; announcing by number on the menu, rather than by toppings. Nobody had memorized the numbering on the menu, and therefore, could not yell "Hey, that's my pizza!" Just a disastrous way to serve food. Disruptive and unorganized. While waiting, my girlfriend was served a 'dinner salad'. $3.50 for a tea cup saucer, with a tiny baby's-handful of iceberg lettuce mix thrown about. The bagged mixture appeared to be slightly rotten (you can always tell, with the brown edges). I realize that the economy is tough, and produce is expensive, but: fuck off. Nobody should be served something so foul. Let alone, pay $3.50 for such a measly portion of the cheapest, most nutritionally-lacking lettuce. The pizza took a long time to come out to us (nearly an hour), but I'm willing to overlook that, considering the volume that day. Unfortunately, I can't overlook the quality. The cheese on the pizza was listed as mozzarella. However, the cheese had come out of the oven with a crisp, bright-orange crust, and tasted like artificial smoke chemicals (a bit like some smoked cheddar had been scattered atop the pizza). Unlike any mozzarella I've ever eaten. Perhaps the ham (what little was even on the pizza) was so full of preservatives and chemicals, that they leaked into the rest of the pizza, tainting the overall flavor. Well, that's another reason to not use shit ingredients. Pineapple, canned. Sauce, I suspect was canned as well. The dough, as usual, per the Seattle area: flat, uninspired and tasteless. Not italian pizza, surely. A final note on the pizza: it was a grease-bomb. The leftovers (which should be deposited directly into the trash can) bled through the take-out box within seconds. Disgusting. Overall, not worth anything close to $20. It's not authentic italian pizza; more to the point, it's not edible pizza. Quite honestly, you're better off getting a sausage pizza from Papa John's or other fast food pizza chains. But I'm not done yet. Finally, we had desert. Upon waiting for desert, we were rudely handed our cheques. Restauranteur pro-tip: if your guests plan on staying another half-hour (considering it's a birthday party, where they haven't even eaten cake, yet), don't try to rush them out of the door. You'll make more money by acting appropriately. So, the servers had neglected to bring us forks and plates. The old woman (who was at least friendly) remembered a few minutes later, and had some of her lackeys bring them out. Well, the lackey was a little kid, who didn't know the first thing about food and utensil handling. He had his grubby hands all over the eating-end of the forks, and carried plates under his arm. Upon reaching the table with his literal pile of forks, he threw them onto the table (like Emeril Lagasse throws ingredients when he yells 'Bam!') and said this: "Uhhhh...here's some forks. Pass 'em out." No, you pass 'em out, kid. It's your job. You should be grateful to even have one. He then did the same thing with the plates, and the drinks. Completely unprofessional. And in the end, he hadn't even counted how many people were in attendance, so we were short forks and plates. Usually, at banquet events, these people think they can get away with sloppy service because they usually include 'gratuity' into the bill. Thankfully, they had the good sense not to do that, here. If they had, I wouldn't have paid that portion of the bill, and would've made a scene with the manager. Quite honestly, this is one of the worst establishments I've ever had the displeasure of attending. Avoid at all costs. Don't believe the hype. It's shit.

A co-worker and I were really in the mood for pizza. We knew that there was a Shakey's still in the Seattle area, and we went on a hunt. Not so much because Shakey's is the be-all, end-all for pizza, but more for the fond childhood memories. We saw on Yelp that there was one in Shoreline...scratch that, it is now a vet hospital. Bummer. So, I got back on Yelp to see if there was another pizza joint nearby. And there was Spiro's. Good rating, so we stopped in. A basic hole-in-the-wall pizza joint that has been there for many years, mixed in with some older businesses and newer strip malls. My co-worker wasn't too sure about the place, but we gave it a shot. I am glad we did. This was a really good pizza, with a crust that isn't too thick or too thin. The meats on the pizza were nice, and the service was friendly. The salads were also good. Would I go out of my way to find this place again? Perhaps, if I were in the pizza mood and visiting the north area of Seattle. Would I drive out of my way to go there? Probably not. But a nice little joint to take the family or relax after a days work and have some good pizza with friends or co-workers.

Our work company usually orders pizza and salads whenever we have meetings and always enjoyed them. My co-workers and I have also gone there during our lunch breaks and dine-in. Their dooda salad is absolutely delicious - I know the name sounds a little funny but the seasoning they put on the chicken is amazing. I've also tried their tortellini with white sauce & I could not stop eating it except for when I started getting full lol. I saved it and had it for lunch the next day and it was still just as good. The manager of the restaurant is also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back here again probably during lunch again lol.

This is a great place to bring the kids, especially if you're a large group or having a party. They are always accommodating, keep your water pitchers full and orders straight. You can reserve the back room and shut the doors to keep the monkeys contained during your meal. We love their pizza. Honestly, it is a bit like Godfathers (crust-wise) but it's not as soggy. The crust is thicker than Pagliacci but not deep dish thick, crunchy on the bottom and chewy on the inside. Flavorful sauce and when it arrives at your table, the mozzerella is hot, stringy and good. Their sausage is great. It's that crumbly kind, not the slices that might as well be pepperoni. Our kids go nuts for the cheesy garlic bread. I have to agree about their dinner salads, I love them. Very simple, yummy bleu cheese dressing, toms and cucumbers. The best thing about this place is the service. I think it's why the place is always crowded. It really feels like a neighborhood joint, they welcome you like they know you (the owner is from the hood so it's possible they do know you) and are happy to see you're back. I give 4 stars for the pizza but bump to 5 because of the service.

I heart Spiro's. Truly. We have had an on-and-off fling the last three years since I moved to the neighborhood and was referred there by another Shoreline dwelling coworker. And while I frequently get a bad case of A.D.D. and become sidetracked with newer and shinier places, I'm always happy to return to Spiro's. It's kind of a like an old buddy who always treats you well when your new beau just isn't up to par. The family that owns the joint is super friendly and will remember you after you have been there a few times. They also have a beer on tap which always makes this girl's day especially with pizza. My roommate will acknowledge that I am a tomato hating freak but I'm okay with it and have made peace with my distaste. Being a tomato hating freak makes pizza noshing difficult at times. BUT what I love about Spiro's is that they will put whatever sauce you want on the pizza! I often get it with their "white sauce" which is creamy and garlicky and delicious. Probably a heart attack on a plate but well worth it. Besides, I like to live on the edge. Throughout our affair, I usually return for the tried and true pizza along with proximity to my house. I have only tried the pasta once and it wasn't the best thing I ever had. The subs are standard but cheap and tasty nonetheless. I would give the place 5 stars only on the pizza which is loaded with toppings (sans tomato of course) and the crust is ridiculously great.

Spiro's my fav! The owner Evan is always checking with the customers to make things right. They serve up some fine zahhh.... Another thicker style pizza crust, sorry thin crust fans, but this might sway you the other way, well once in a while... FYI, this is Starch-boy's, my son, fav thick crust pizza. The secret is to go during the weeknights, they offer pasta specialties found on the chalk board behind the register. My fav is Brent's special, just ask Evan what's in it and he'll tell you, but think of a dark rich brown garlicky goodness spread over pasta tubes that tickles the taste buds, served with garlic bread, watch out you vampires! Dinner salads are fresh and simple, get the homemade blue cheese, more like a thinner ranch really, but cheesy goodness none the less. Calzones are nice size and packed with goodies, meatball sandwich is sizable and served with a hearty Greek-style marinara, yum!! Service is always with a smile and they treat the kids like royalty! They also have a medium sized banquet room in the back for larger parties, when my son's soccer team was smaller we use to use them every year. They are very accommodating to locals and local youth sports teams.

The pizza here is really good. Our favorite is the Vangeli's Special. Service is really good, you get your food quickly, the people are friendly. Lighting was a little dark last time I went here but that's okay. I have been to this restaurant several times, also to the location in Silverdale. It is always good.

This pizza is the best I have had since the original Spiro, who started Olympia pizza sold his business on Queen Anne. Evan is great but a good personality does not make a good pizza. At Spiro's you get both a good owner and an excellent pizza. I am so tired of people taking about their New York roots and real pizza. If you want the best pizza anywhere, go to Spiro's.

I love Spiro's because they stay open late for my group that comes in every week during the summer! I have also been there during normal business hours and had a variety of things. I always enjoyed my food. It is LOUD inside when things are busy though. I took my dad one time and he had a hard time hearing the conversation. Probably not the best place for a romantic date, but a great place for groups or families. They have a room that can be reserved.

Went here with a group of 4 for my buddies birthday. He wanted pasta and yelp showed this place to be top notch in the area. They were spot on again, this place is great. Nice busy atmosphere and you see servers and such running around like crazy. Service was almost perfect and lightning fast, one of the forks had a huge chunk of bacon or something in it which was gorss and I asked for another and I didnt get an apology or anything. She seemed annoyed I was bothering her, which irked me a little. Anyways, other than that everything else was great, we all had different pastas, I had tortellini w/ white sauce, and the wife had spaghetti w/ meat sauce. All tasted good and was very filling as it included garlic bread and a salad. Prices were very good as well. Menu seems little limited, but the better quality and price makes the olive garden chains laughable in comparison. I think we found our go to italian restaraunt.

What can I say about this place other than it's awsome. It's always busy but worth the wait. If you have kids and have to wait there's a pile of kids books in a basket. Let me suggest one thing before I start, Brent's Special. It's not on the menu so don't be affraid to ask for it. When you ask for it they'll know you're a true regular. I won't say what's in it, just order it if you like pasta and garlic. Everything is good there, Brent's Special, pasta, calzones, pizza... This is one of those places where they start calling you by name after a few times making future visits more personal and enjoyable. The people who work there are great and everybody is friendly no matter how busy or hectic it may be. One time a server noticed my daughter picking all the olives out of my salad the next thing I noticed a server comes by with a bowl full of olives and tomatoes for my little one. It's not just one person helping you at your table; everybody that works there does so no worries about asking for something and it getting forgotten. After dinner get a scoop of spumoni, spumoni FTW. For the kids as they walk out they can grab a Tootsie Pop. How many licks does it take to get to the center??? When you know it's peak time for dinner and you don't fell like waiting or want to eat at home call in your order and it will be ready for you.

What, What, Whaaaaaaat?!? I haven't reviewed Spiro's, but I've eaten there 10+times? Tis time: Family run, everyone is super nice. They do have some waitstaff that is questionable sometimes, and it gets crazy busy during peak lunch time. But most of the time the service is great. They have this salad there that isn't on the menu- it's called the Chicken Do-Dah. It is soooooo good, get it with their homemade bluecheese/ranch dressing and you will be in heaven! Their calzone's are also especially good. There is never enough of their delicious sauce inside though, so I like an order of the marinara on the side as well. Pizza is also very tasty. Go try it out if you are in the mood for some diner-style Italian.

This is a good reliable place for good food at good prices. The service is always prompt-sometimes almost too fast so come not expecting time for conversation. The prices are reasonable. The carafes of wine have gone up in price lately but all in all a very good place!

Overall the food was pretty good. The ingredients were fresh and the ideas of creation novel and well thought out. I recall being recommended this place a long time ago and coming a while back, and I enjoyed the experience. Came again when a friend said we should get pizza. This was probably the first place that popped into my head. It's got that nice homey feel to it, and it's always nice to have a server with a personality.

You know, I don't even LIKE pizza. Except here, as it turns out. I've been experimenting with topping combinations since I was about 12, and I still haven't figured out the perfect mix. Great neighborhood place, no problems parking, always pretty busy but they always seem to have it under control. Spiro's is very family-friendly and there are always lots of kids, but it should be tolerable to the kid-wary. Good for groups; I had a few birthday parties here in my teenage years. The staff clearly take pride in the restaurant because the service is excellent, and I've never had a bad meal here.

We went to Spiro's for lunch on a weekday afternoon, last week. It was fairly empty, but we were greeted right away by a friendly waiter. Service was wonderful, with the waiter being attentive but not obnoxiously so. Both of us ordered pizza, and it was alright, but could be better. The crust was bland, but the cheese and toppings were great. It was a good experience overall, but nothing I'd go out of my way to go back to.

Spiro's has been a neighborhood favorite for years. The Owner, Evan, would routinely come visit the surrounding schools and lecture on business and the food industry. Aside from that, they layer on the cheese thick and it tastes like heaven. This is by far my favorite Pizza joint. Another cool thing is the specials that are "off-the-menu" as some people have said. My favorite is the Brent's Special, which is a meaty pasta dish that is just... amazing. They have great salads with creamy cheese that tops it, and great dressings. The staff is experienced and cool. Some of the bussers are a little young and fresh to the business, but they are all nice. If your order is unpleasing at all here they do everything possible top make it better. The best service and food around!

I've been eating at Spiro's for years. If you're expecting five-star food, you'll be disappointed - but it's a great little neighborhood pizza joint. I love the pizza with sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, onion & feta and only occasionally eat something different. The service is always fast and friendly and they make you feel like they really care about whether you have a good dinner.

Great pizza joint. I know they have other stuff, but I've always gone with the pizza because it's delicious. I also love the fact that when you order a pitcher of beer, you get A BIG GLASS FULL pitcher of beer. Not those little halfsie plastic crap ones. The service is always excellent. Friendly and warm everytime. My only gripe with Spiros is why don't you have one closer to my house!! Love it and always look forward to eating there.

Really, really great pizza. Spiro's always comes out excellent -- the dough perfectly cooked through and firm, without being crunchy and without being soggy. The cheese is good quality, and the cheese-to-sauce-to-toppings balance is always right on. Middle of the road prices, great big variety of toppings and styles. I love Spiro's, it's my favorite pizza spot north of Seattle.

It's like eating at mom's house!! The waitress is one of the friendliest people I've ever met in the food industry. The atmosphere is very cozy and family-like. The pizza was amazing, and they let us split it half/half because we couldn't decide. It has almost a crunchy cheese top....its wonderful!!!

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! I have *never* had better customer service anywhere else. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is good; you definitely get what you pay for. Pizza is good (especially the house special -- sausage, onions, green pepper, etc.) and for some reason -- even though it's very very simple, the salad is BOMB... the lettuce is always very fresh/crisp and their homemade blue cheese/ranch dressing is awesome. Anyway, we keep on coming back over and over because of the friendly staff and consist quality of food. Highly recommended.

I love that smell of freshly made pizzas in dine-in pizza restaurants! We came here last weekend for a birthday party and it was nice because they had a private room in the back for us! We shut the doors since we had about 8 kids running around before and after our meal. The servers were prompt in bringing our drinks and pizza and came to check on us often. These guys are generous with the toppings and the crust is soft on the inside and a little crusty on the outside. We want to go back but maybe try their pasta dishes!

Nothing fancy, straight to the point. Good pizza, good pasta, fast service. The dinner salad is one of my favorites and I don't even like iceberg lettuce most of the time. I try to ask for light cheese (on the pizzas) most of the time since they're so generous with the mozzarella but it's my guilty pleasure. The garlic bread is simple but delicious and all that I need. The pastas aren't the most innovative concoctions but they sure do make me and my stomach quite happy. Won't ever stop going to Spiro's.

When we were waiting for the magic hour when we could go into our first owned home, we found Spiro's. That started a love affair with this fabulous restaurant. It's great for the whole family. They can order pizza or pasta or whatever. My oldest loves the calzones. My middle loves their "mac and cheese" (tortellini with white sauce). The baby loves anything pasta. When we want to go out but not far from our house, we go here. We order a pitcher of beer for us, sodas for the kids, and relax for a while. Despite being busy practically all the time they never rush you out the door. My kids' favorite waitress is Johnnie (don't know if I've spelled her name right). She's awesome and is so nice! That first night we were there we got spoiled by her and my son drew her a picture. But back to the food. We have never, ever had substandard food here. There has never been an item that needed to go back to the kitchen nor has there ever been an item ordered where we wished we had ordered something else. Pluses: Food Staff Parking Proximity to my house Minuses: The only thing I can think of is lack of waiting room if you have to wait for a table. And maybe that they don't deliver (especially when I need to replace Romio's in the line-up). But, really, those are just two small items.

I didn't eat at Spiro's (yet) but have to report that they were super nice and let us come in for a drink after they were officially closed. We were looking for a place to chat after a movie at the Crest and just happened upon Spiro's. It was that or Jack in the Box next door -- so we stuck our head in the door even though it was 5 min after closing. Really nice people. Smelled great in there, too, like the pizzerias in New Jersey. They have calzones on the menu, and real antipasto which is hard to find around here. So next time I plan a movie night at the Crest, I'll leave an hour early and eat here first! I'll report back.

Spiro's is your ultimate Greek/ Italian family restaurant! The owner Evan is such a delight to his customers. Always there to make sure everyone is doing well. The pizza is delicious, with a secret marinara sauce that keeps the customers coming! I also have a thing for the Blue Cheese salad dressing that is more like a Ranch, mixing that with the House Italian, brings moisture to my mouth just thinking about it. Definitely a great place to catch a bite!

Good food, not too expensive: we like to call in an order and pick it up to eat while watching a movie at home. I like the big salads, and for a decadent carb-fest, the spaghetti with mizithra. Now if someone would PLEASE buy that eyesore empty building they're attached to and open a nice English pub or something, it would be the perfect little close-to-home excursion.

Our family has been going to Spiro's for years. We have never had a bad experience here! We go for the pizza and it is always wonderful. Never soggy, always hot! The dinner salads are fast to arrive and always fresh. Yes it's iceberg lettuce but I like it and you will too. When you want to be treated like family, enjoy good pizza served quickly - go to Spiro's.

This is the best pizza and pasta EVER! I started dining at the West Seattle location years ago and became addicted to the Vangelis Sub sandwich - a delightful combo of pepperoni, canadian bacon, salami with melted gooey mozzarella cheese on a crispy french roll. Long-time patrons know to save some of the delicious house made bleu cheese dressing that comes with your dinner salad for dipping your sandwich. The salad is included with your sub, and it's still a bargain! Their pizza has the best flavor I've ever had. It can't be beat. Try the #13, with feta, olives and ground beef. And the hot pepperoni is a great addition to any pie. This location has friendlier staff and better service than the West Seattle location (beware of the truck-stop waitress on THEIR staff). It has a friendly neighborhood feel. They can be quite busy during weekend dinner hours, but even so I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table (how do they do that?).

Spiro's is a staple in the Shoreline neighborhood. It has fantastic food, great service, and the owners are the friendliest people out there. I love this place. I've known many people that have worked here and it's a really friendly and comfortable atmosphere. The pizza is fantastic! Always fresh and delicious. They have so many special and unique pizzas that are amazing. I love the tortellini with red sauce as well. The sauce has a little bit of spice which is perfect with the cheesyness of the pasta. They also have a party room so it's great for any event!

This is one of my favorite pizza joints...although I love Pagliacci's thin crust, sometimes I'm in the mood for deep-dish, and Spiro's delivers...well, actually, I don't think they DO home delivery, but it's a great place to stop in. The wait staff is just wonderful! Tho the place is always busy, they still take good care of you. You may want to skip their dinner salad, which leaves a little to be desired. (The bleu cheese dressing they use is delicious, even though it doesn't really taste like any bleu cheese dressing I've ever had before....let's just say it's *mysteriously* tasty.) I've never been disappointed in their pizza, tho, which always arrives at the table piping hot...so hot, in fact, that I always burn my tongue, since I just can't wait to dig in. Family friendly & reasonably priced.

Not bad. It's an old school, sit-down pizza restaurant. The sort of place families go to. The sort of place you go to after the summer softball game.

When I think of Spiro's I am reminded of a phrase coined by a famous Italian restaurant chain..."When you are here you are family." Evan, his parents and their fabulous staff exude exceptional customer service. And in all honesty, since moving from Shoreline to Phoenix, I have yet to find a pizza that can come close to Spiro's Pizza. (And it's been FIVE years!!) When dining here, I always get a house salad with Italian (and extra feta/mozzarella on the side) with half Vegetarian/half Spiro's special pizza. The food is PHENOMENAL. Not once it all my years of dining here have I had a bad experience. Now if only they would open a restaurant in Surprise, AZ!!

I am a sucker for Spiro's. Been going here for over 9 years now and the food is exactly the same as it was in the 90s (I hate it when restaurants change a good menu and this one hasn't!). I still order the same thing every time...tortellini with white sauce (it's on the back of the menu). It sounds unspectacular, but there is nothing but spectacularness in that white sauce. Well, that and probably more butter than I want to know about. (not diet friendly) The salad that comes with every entree is simple and tasty...never wilted lettuce or anything randomly missing (there is always shredded mozzarella and black olives with dressing on the side in a little cup). I've had the pizza a few times and it's okay...nothing amazing. Edible for sure, but pretty much your basic pizza with quality toppings. The atmosphere isn't very exciting, but the staff is always very attentive and helpful. One of the waitresses there has been working there since the 90s which I find to be a good testament of how the business is run. Sitting by the window along Aurora Ave N/Highway 99 always makes me a bit uneasy since it is so close to the road and I can just imagine some driver losing control of his car and crashing through the restaurant wall....I usually request a seat back in what used to be the smoking section (along the parking lot side of the building). Great for parties/large groups (they have a back room for this sort of thing) and kids. They have a basket full of lollipops so make sure to grab one on your way out!

The fam bought a couple pizzas last night from Spiro's. DELISH! I usually only eat about 2 or 3 pieces when we order pizza, but I think I had 5 or 6! Their pizza slices are cut a bit smaller than usual so that's probably why I ate so much, but their pizza beats anything else I've tried in the area by far. We ordered one pepperoni and one canadian bacon/pineapple. They were both awesome. They put lots of cheese and the sauce is sweet. Next time I want to try one of their special pizzas instead. Definitely coming back when I'm craving pizza!

If you like Greek style Italian food this is the place to go. The pizza is fantastic and it's usually what I go for. Now I prefer a thinner crust pizza (NY style), but I can't turn this place down.

I honestly do not understand why the high rating. Their menu barely has anything. The spaghetti is so generic and plain. I loved their pizza though, they browned the cheese and plenty of pineapple, yum. I just wish there were more choices on their menu.

LOVE their food - LOVE their service. If you go here, order the Brent's Special - its the best thing they don't have on the menu.

I love Spiro's. I love love LOVE Spiro's. I think their food is absolutely delicious. Their pizza is the best pizza I have ever had in my entire life. I personally am a fan of thin crust pizza, and this errs on the side of thick crust...however, they cook it so it's crispy and there isn't a lot of crust on the end of the pizza if you know what I mean...mmm...soooo good (I'm serious)! They also have so many pizza's to choose from, if you are feeling risky you can try something new, but if not you can stick to the regulars or create your own masterpiece! :) My favorite thing to order is the Spinach Salad (not on the menu, but ask for it...it's sooooo yummy). It comes with marinated, moist chicken that is to die for, cheese, sunflower seeds, red peppers and honey mustard dressing. I used to work in Shoreline and I would go with my co-workers. We would split the Spinach Salad and then split a pizza or two. The favorite pizza of the bunch was the #6 with artichoke hearts, fresh spinach, mushrooms, ricotta, feta and mozzarella cheese and the #23 with hot pepperoni, jalapeno peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, feta and mozzarella cheeses . The #23 is only for the brave who can stand heat on their palette! There is just something about the way they bake their pizza's...I want Spiro's right now! I personally never ordered the pastas, but some of my co-workers did and they never had a complaint...it looked delicious, but I am more of a pizza and salad kind of gal. The thing about Spiro's is not only is their food delicious, but their service is outstanding. The organization I worked for held their Board Meetings here once a month, and so I thought that maybe that was where our special treatment came from :) But nope, it appears that they treat everyone like family, which is definitely a good thing in my opinion. The staff are incredibly attentive but not overbearing. I live and work in Seattle now, and don't venture up to Shoreline as often, but I definitely plan on stopping by for some good Italian home cooking in the next few weeks. I'll let you all know how it goes--if I'm still treated like family! :) I almost forgot to mention my last favorite thing--the free tootsie pops! Be sure to grab one from the basket!

Great food, great service, friendly folks in a bustling atmosphere! The House Special pizza is AWESOME, especially washed down by a glass of the house chianti. We've been here a dozen times and have NEVER had a bad experience or meal...quite a feat in today's troubled times.

I have to agree with Jon C. I am not impressed, the only salvagable item in my meal was the sausage and that is because it was not made by spiro. The spaghetti meat sauce had the tasting consistency that was not appetizing to my palate. My brothers also said the same and so did one of their girlfriend on their sandwiches...I am not coming back, very expensive for the quality of food that they served.

Its not fancy but the ffod is to die for, we go in every week or two. The service is always quick, sometimes a short wait if all the tables are full, great for families!

This is by far one of the best pizza places in the Shoreline area. The aroma is amazing as soon as you walk in the door. The Vangelis Special is awesome. The Italian sausage is delicioso!

Spiro's a great place for quick Italian or pizza and beer. I have a few other pizza places back in California that hold a special place in my heart, but Spiro's is close to the top of my list. They are always busy but the wait is never too long. It's a great place to go with a group or team for a big dinner. They have a huge pizza menu and are always very accommodating.

Garlic bread and pasta. Does man live by anything else at all? Not at Spiro's unless you count the pizza. Large portions of delicious pasta, (the alfredo is my favorite) and I usually end up taking some home with me. Quick service and if they know you, they'll toss in some extra garlic bread.

Spiro's has good stuff, pasta, pizza, all the fixings for a carb filled stomach dynamo. Say whatsup to Pat if he's there, he's the man. Shoreline has more going for it than just the school district...

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
