If you'll forgive me breaking out my jersey attitude here for just a moment, I want to get one thing clear: This is **NOT** the best pizza you will ever have (although it is quite good), nor is it truly NY style pizza (for starters, the crust is too thick). Now, having said that... This is a neat spot that my wife and I love to visit. The pizza is tasty. The slices are as large as advertised. I typically go with either the cheese or the Hawaiian and am seldom disappointed (again, keeping in mind what I said above). The crust is a too thick, and lacks that true chewiness and bite that I want from a true NY style pizza. But it's a good slice for what it is. And at $4.50/slice for happy hour it really can't be beat - a slice is a meal. The cocktails here are good, although they vary in quality from bartender to bartender. Their beer selection is small, but has a few good options. What really shines here is the atmosphere. I love the wood bar, the TVs almost everywhere, and the service. They'll turn on sound for select games, but generally speaking it's music that is usually at just the right volume to allow for a conversation (always a plus). And hey - you can get decent food and drink for under $20 tax/tip/total? Can't beat that!

I cringe every time I hear someone mention this place: "it's so good, the pizza slices are huge"... The pizza here is a prime example of quantity over quality. Since when does more equal good? The dough, as well as their toppings, are bland and the slices drip grease, excessively. Service is generally pretty good, karaoke is fun, but quiz night is lame. Step up your game Talarico's and drop Geeks who Drink, or whatever "big box" quiz service you use. All in all, I suggest you go here. Just go after you've been drinking, when you care more about filling your gut over enjoying good pizza. And get the meatballs, the meatballs are pretty ok.

I stopped in here for the first time during West Seattle Summerfest. Though my go-to pizza joint has been Proletariat in White Center, I was excited to give Talarico's a try. I am so glad I did! Even though it was a Saturday, Talarico's still had happy hour. Score! This place has one killer happy hour too. We ordered several slices to go, and some drinks and meatballs to have in the restaurant. The meatballs were $6 and wells and pizza slices were $4.50. At first, I wondered how $4.50 could possibly be the happy hour price for a single slice of pizza. Turns out, these slices are bigger than your face. One slice is more than enough for me! The meatballs were delicious. They were served with garlic bread, shaved Parmesan cheese, basil, garlic bread, and plenty of sauce. Make sure to get a little of everything on a slice of the garlic bread--it makes a yummy snack! The pizza was nearly perfect. I ordered the Sinatra, but with mushrooms instead of black olives (I tend to avoid olives on my pizza because they always seem to make the pizza far too salty). The crust was so thin and crispy and had wonderful flavor. I think their crust is on par with Proletariat's crust. Coming from me, this is a huge compliment! The toppings were also great, with one minor criticism. The sausage they use on the Sinatra is quite crumbly. Although you get a little in every bite, which I can appreciate, I think I'd prefer if the sausage was sliced, as it is on some of their other pizzas, rather than crumbled. This would improve the texture of the whole slice. Aside from that, the acidic bite from the pepperoncinis with the meaty favor of the sausage and mushrooms was perfect. A really wonderful combination. I am so happy to have Talarico's in the neighborhood! I will definitely have to stop in again for happy hour soon!

Came in on a Saturday after going to the driving range and wanted something to snack on. Ordered the Tarantino which is essentially a veggie pizza. Pizza had green peppers, olives, and red onions as toppings The pizza was pretty average in my opinion. The pizza was a little too doughy for me, especially when it got to the crust part. It did come out fairly quickly after we ordered it. The toppings were fresh though which is always nice. The slice was huge and the price for it during happy hour isn't bad. The pizza wasn't bad by any means but also wasn't great and I kind of left with a meh attitude.

Talaricos would be a solid four stars if it weren't for the service. The pizza is amazing. Grab a slice of the oglio d'avio and you won't be disappointed. The slices are HUGE (14") and less than $6 each. They have lots of beers on draft and their cocktails are good too. Every single time I've gone here it's been subpar service. Either I have to wait forever to be acknowledged while entering the restaurant, or the servers just genuinely act disinterested in wanting to be there or help you out. Karaoke is fun to watch on Sunday nights, and even some of the bartenders perform which is cool. A little extra effort on the servers part would add another star for sure.

Last night I died and went to pizza heaven. We came late for a birthday party and the staff were super accommodating and brought us extra chairs even though the place was already packed. We sat down and the immediately took our drink and food orders and were very friendly at that! We got our food at the same time as everyone else despite being over half an hour late. I ordered the sinatra - spicy sausage, pepperoncinis, and black olives. It was deeeeeelicious! For $5.99 (even cheaper during happy hour) I got a slice of pizza bigger than my head, probably the size of two slices of costco pizza combined! Not only was it a huge portion but they don't skimp out on the toppings and it was great! My only complaint is that my slice came out almost cold and while I don't usually have a problem eating cold pizza, I would expect it to be steaming hot when I order it to dine in. Later in the evening, they started the karaoke. Everyone was singing and they cleared some tables for people to dance and it was a great time! Highly recommend this place if you happen to be in West Seattle and are looking for good eats and entertainment.

My girlfriend introduced me to this place, and I sure am glad she did. We ordered the home made meatball appetizer, J. Wilber BBQ chicken pizza, and the Westside pizza. It was definitely enough to have us stuffed half a pizza in. The pizzas costs only $5 and are the size of about 3 regular pizzas combined. Super friendly service, spacious tables, and delicious and huuuge portions! I will be coming back!

My wife and I came in for happy hour and dinner. Got here on Wednesday night at 5:30 but there was plenty of seating to be had. Beer and wine was priced very fairly at $4 and $5, respectively. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. However, it went off the tracks when the food arrived. My chicken parm, which should have been golden brown and crispy, was soggy and covered in tasteless mozzarella. Not a molecule of flavor to be found. My wife ordered the Italian Salad, which arrived in bland, yellow fashion. This was my second visit; after having experienced similar mediocrity last time, I gave it another try. Mediocre fail.

Dat pie tho.. Ambience is seriously the draw here for West Seattle nightlife. Great for groups, this cozy and lively tavern has plenty of table and booth seating and ample standing room. The non-pretentious mood of the patrons and staff here make one feel like a local catching up with friends, but at the same time the different crowds here make it totally possible to make a new friend at the same time. It's location at the West Seattle Junction make it a great rendezvous and for the potential one-stop for the night, with more bars nearby if required. That pizza tho? I'd have to say NO and never again. The dough was dry, crumbly, and salty. Slice sizes are a generous 14" length, but when folded to eat, mine basically broke in half. The Kauai, although loaded with prosciutto, tomato sauce, and pineapples, was surprisingly almost tasteless. 1/5 stars. For drinks and meeting up, I can't say enough cool things about this place including the high backed booths, multiple TV screens for sports, and the advertisement that Talarico's does some karaoke.

This is a fun place, but not the best place for food. We went here on the trivia night, and participating in the trivia was the best part of the night. The margherita was terrible- it was one of those cafeteria cheese pizzas with tomato and basil on it. Meatballs were below average ones that I could probably make them better. The drinks were good- treat this place as a bar, not a restaurant. The food is not worth the money.

we have only been here twice (both times after 9pm). our first time there was a little awkward. right when we walked in, there was a sign that read "please wait to be seated" so we waited and waited. no one came around. a bartender made eyecontact with us and then kind of looked away. finally, a hostess came by and said we could sit anywhere we'd like. cool. its pretty loud in there because its mainly a bar at night. karaoke on some nights. they have a full bar and quite a few beers on tap. we ordered the artichoke dip and each had a pizza. holy hell those single slices of pizza were HUGE! i ordered the margherita pizza and my bf ordered the talarico special(i think) where its just cheese and sauce. omg, they were sooo good! the pizza is like, thin crust, but the crust was like different. my bf ordered an extra side of marinara to dip his crust in. it was really good, too. you can really taste the olive oil and the fresh tomatos they use. they charged like .50 per side but it was totally worth it. i really like that this place is open late and serves food late because i usually get off work pretty late. i recommend to anyone who loves the night life and a good slice of pizza =0)

Every time I come I'm please. Great beer...love the ambience and the bartenders are Rad! It's hard for me to pick another place as this is always top of mind. I mean...what better then awesome pizza and delicious beer??? Nay I say...Nay.

This is the biggest & best slice of pizza I've ever had in West Seattle. In the West Seattle junction at that! My favorite slice of pizza is the Kauai & it's only $5 a slice during Happy Hour. Plus they have the best appetizers a such as their Garlic Bread with the mozzarella & marina sauce! It's to die for!!! Lol it's a fat girls dream the cheese is just perfectly cheesy & wonderful when paired with the marina sauce! Anyway if you're in the California junction area in West Seattle around Happy Hour time (3-6 pm & 11-1 am) go and stop by there & try out their pizza!!!

I know this is kinda a lame review but I'm pretty peeved at this place. I was having a party so I placed an order for 4 pizzas ahead of time. When I went in to pick up my order 15 mins before my guests arrived I was horrified to discover that they had only made 4 SLICES. I repeat, slices of pizza!! Not whole pizzas :( Not sure that I will ever be back, that's a pretty huge mistake to make and now I'm stuck with no food and hungry guests. Lame :(

I've been to Talarico's about ten times or so. Several for work events and a few times on dates. Let's see.... Pizza is awesome, clean restaurant, good stiff drinks, decent happy hour, waiters and waitresses that are nice to look at. I've been disappointed with the service on multiple occasions though. Slow, not very attentive, or straight up ignore half our party. So minus a star there. Tip: karaoke here (can get scary or really awesome). They also have trivia nights that get kinda crazy.

I absolutely love there giant slice of pepperoni pizza with the great happy hour price it comes with during the happy hour, that and an order of the artichoke dip and I am set with a happy tummy. I have always had friendly and awesome service here.

I dunno guys! Giant slices yes, soggy and lukewarm, also a yes. The pizza I could see taking another stab at if it's really late and I'm starving (munchies, anyone?) Since I live in the neighborhood I'll come back to check on the progress. I like the bar and the staff. But biggah is not bettah.

I came to Talarico's for their happy hour after spending the weekend hiking the Olympics. I was starving since I skipped lunch and was shocked to found out the complete lack of dining options on the peninsula driving back. Thankfully after a quick yelp search I found every body saying how great these gigantic slices are. Lured in by the $4.75/slice happy hour special I was in. Talarico's restaurant is huge, a gigantic bar in the center of the room and plenty of tables nicely spaced apart. Their beers are reasonably priced and about average for the area and with the happy hour special the pizza is a pretty good deal. If you're not a hungry individual a single slice would probably suffice but I was able to scarf down two solid slices. Coming from New York, I think I've become a pizza snob no doubt and I have what I would consider to be a very high bar on what is good. With that in mind, New York slices is exactly what this restaurant serves, maybe 10% larger. The difference between a New York slice in NY vs what you get in West Seattle is pricing. The pizza wars in NY are strong and any New Yorker will tell you about the dollar slice. Yes, a giant slice of pizza for buck that can be found practically anywhere in the city. Is it the best pizza? No, but it's cheap, available, filling, and the perfect drunk food. Talarico's pizza is about one notch above this type of dollar slice. Their crust is very good for this style of pizza, perfectly thin, and sturdy enough to hold up all the toppings without folding over. The accouterments that accompany it are to me less important than the base of cheese, sauce, and most importantly, crust. All in all, it's not a bad slice, but a far cry from what I would consider to be a great pizza.

  • Tim D.

I've been here for lunch on several occasions. The pizza is pretty good. The crust seems to be lacking in flavor, and is somewhat dense and flat. It's supposed to be thin-crust New York style. Not being anything resembling an authority on New York Style pizza, I'll say that it's very edible. It's just kinda lacking. I think it needs to be seasoned more. The toppings are are decent. It could use some more sauce. Unlike many pizza places in Seattle, they have the shaker of oregano at the table, and that's a plus. The atmosphere is kinda dark, but not in any uninviting way. The booths are large, and fit multiple people comfortably. That all being said, the service is decent, but always slow. Always bet on being in there for at least an hour. (This has always been my experience.)

Table Service: A+, contrary to other reviews our waitress was attentive, friendly, and didn't seem at all concerned about dividing up the checks for our large group. Food: B, the slices were large and the pizza was cheesy. Kinda hard to screw that up. Not the best pizza I've had but not the worst. It was a mess to eat. What really made the experience unpleasant was the fact that the staff members were singing super crude, racist karaoke songs while we were dining there. Sure, it was a Saturday night at 10 pm with an adult crowd. And I have nothing against karaoke. But the songs they chose were disgusting. I'm hard to offend and curse right along with the best of them. This went over the top. We thought it was a guest who chose to sing "Colt 45" and were surprised when the restaurant didn't cut her off. Turns out it was a server who works there. Listening to the graphic, sexual, racist lyrics being spewed made our entire group (10+ young adults) uncomfortable. I wouldn't choose to eat in that environment again.

Still looking for good pizza. This did not hit the spot. Sure its good enough when your drinking happy hour. Crust is too thin and tastless. Looks like a good place for other food but if pizza is their specialty then not ehh... Bigger pizza doesn't mean better.

Walked out of another restaurant that was under staffed then popped into Talarico's. Haven't been here for 5 years or so. It was lunch time and I was in a hurry so ordered the chicken parmigiana. It was very nice and came out very quickly. Friend had a different chicken pasta dish that was liked as well. Wish they had a couple Italian sandwich options but overall was happy. The waitress was very busy but did her darndest to make sure we were taken care of.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is good. I recommend their delicious! Mac n' Cheese. And their giant 14" slices of pizza are great! I'd stay away from the garlic bread - it's just soft bread with melted cheese. Other than that their artichoke dip appetizer is super yum as well! They also have trivia on Wednesday with cash prizes.

Being from New Jersey, I have certain standards for pizza. The prices are pretty crazy ... A whole pie for $50 is actually kind of insane. Ponder the ingredients that go into making pizza for a moment... We opted for single slices so as to not feel the sting of outrageously overpriced pie. They were actually quite tasty but the crust was not what it should be. I can totally see how locals flip for this place, but any east coaster can expected to pull out the slice snobbery card and it would be completely understandable and I am empathetic to that. In the posi side, the service is really great, good atmosphere, sweet comfy booths, and a ton of space. We will totally come back but I will not upgrade this review until they add a little bit of salt to that crust !

Talarico's was referred to us by a friend after my boyfriend and I got pizza tattoos for our anniversary. We walk in, and the hostesses are very friendly. We get lead to our seats, and are given our menus. If you aren't warned beforehand about what you're getting yourself into, it's a little much to comprehend. $50 for a pizza? Really? I ordered the garlic cheese bread as an appetizer, so we had some time to mull over the huge selection of pizzas. My boyfriend and I order our slices. Normally we aren't adventurous eaters, but it was our anniversary, so we decided to go out on a limb. We also ordered a slice of pepperoni, just in case. Even though it was a Thursday, it was still quite busy. Which unfortunately meant it took a while to get our food. It also meant that we got our appetizer, and then probably 5 minutes later got our pizza. Either way, the food is tremendous. I have eaten pizza in a lot of different places, in a lot of different cities. This is by far, my favorite. I got the Da Vinci, and I still dream about it. Dammit. I think I may have to go back this weekend. 14" slice of pizza. Insanity.

I love this place!! The bartenders are ON POINT when you sit with them. The wait staff is adorable (my men friends think the ladies are hot hot hot) and very good at their jobs. The food is consistent and yummy. This is my spot every Friday for HH. Great place!!!

Great spot for good Za and a tasty beverage! Full bar, plenty of TV's for the big game, and friendly staff. If you're ordering anything other than pizZa and you're not satisfied it's on you. This place is known for pizza, not pasta. Recommend - South Street pizza and add Bacon!

Walking in, you wouldn't expect this place to be as live as it actually gets on a Saturday night. I came here for a birthday party and it was a great way to celebrate w/ family and have a good time! Not to mention the pizzas which are ENORMOUS. One slice feels like the size of 3 or 4 regular size slices. I got the BBQ chicken and it came out super hot and delicious! Unfortunately my friends pizzas came out not that hot which was weird but I wanna say that was a fluke. Anyway, around 10 that's when things started getting wild because the karaoke began! It was awesome because a lot of really great singers came on making the experience even better. All in all, it was a great way to spend my Saturday night

Thanks for the continued great service !

The food here is great. It's so nice to be able to get individual slices but pick anything from the menu! The last time I was here was a lot earlier than I normally go. Happy hour goes until 6 PM. But be warned, kids and screaming babies are everywhere! This has never happened to me before. I'm sure it is lovely for families but it is tough as a fellow patron who was not expecting Red Robin like tantrums from the diner at the next table. It's not like that as the night goes on. Plenty of beer and cocktail options. The HH salad was so-so but the slices are always great. I highly recommend the slice it comes with arugula. Yum!

Taliricos is a nice neighborhood restaurant and bar with good food and a decent speciality cocktail menu. I'd like to give it more than three stars but I've experienced nothing but poor customer service every single time. The food is delicious! Big slices, great beer, and good price. I wish the servers were more attentive and friendly. It's a good place to meet up with friends and have a couple drinks. I wouldn't go there on date night or dinner with my loved ones. I'd say it's a great last resort in West Seattle.

Always great food at Talaricos. I usually get a big slice of pizza but tonight I had the meatballs and chop salad last night. The food is always consistent and the staff overall are really good to me. If you want quick eats for dinner or late night happy hour you can't beat the food and the price!!! The beer is fresh and ice cold too. Look forward to coming back!

This is some of the worst pizza I've ever had in my life. Just a skosh better than Zeke's pizza, which is definitely the worst pizza ever. Just terrible. Bigger is not better people! I've tried pizza here on three separate occasions, mostly based on reviews from other Yelpers. What am I missing here?

Holy cats, these pizza slices are bigger than my head. It's thin crust, but I would say it would be equivalent to about 3 slices of a medium sized pizza from Dominos or Pizza Hut. The taste can't compare though. I ordered the Drunken Sicilian and it was delicious! It had roasted bell peppers, sweet onions, and some kind of sausage and other goodies I can't think of on the top of my head. The only downside was that my pizza wasn't hot. But this was probably due to them having to serve our 18-person party. I tried a bite from a friend's pizza and almost burnt my tongue off because her pizza was actually hot. Ended up listening to people singing some tunes on the karaoke machine and dancing with some random drunk lady. It was awesome. Had a blast and I would definitely come back here in the near future.

I've returned to this place many times due to their great happy hour and huge slice of pizza that's only $4.50. however if you go at night there will usually be some karaoke going on so if you don't mind some terrible singers or even a few good ones go ahead and go. Happy hour for food last from 11 to 1 a.m. if I'm not mistaken. Service is usually good but sometimes they are a little slow on getting your pizza to you. When this happens and its not piping hot the cheese can get a little rubbery but the pizza tastes good none the less. I do recommend going here. Just try to make sure you can get your food as soon as it comes out of the oven.

Loved this place! I went to Talarico's during a weekend in West Seattle. After going for dinner on Friday night, we returned for happy hour on Saturday evening. Both times we were seated promptly, even though we had a group of 5+ on both occasions. The decor, as many have mentioned is a bit unconventional. There's a large deal of Chinese decor accompanied by flat screens and a fireplace. After getting over the confusing decor I took a look at the menu and ordered the meatball pizza and the orange citrus mint mojito. The slices are UNGODLY LARGE and INEXPENSIVE at that. Totes amazing! I also tried the malibu bucket drink, which was delicious, but as you can guess was extremely sweet. On my second visit, our group arrived about 30 minutes before happy hour started. Our waitress did not mind at all that we were waiting for happy hour to order pizza and drinks. She had plenty of other tables to keep track of. Promptly when happy hour started our waitress came back to take our orders. I ordered a slice of kauai pizza which was out of this world AMAZING! **I've decided that my West Seattle weekends are going to consist of bakery nouveau breakfasts and talaricos for lunch and dinner. They are conveniently located across the street from one another, which is going to be helpful when I roll my rotund body from one location to another.

Talaricos is one of our Happy Hour places. The waitresses are hit or miss. Ask for Vivian. We order a sliced pizza (South Street and Kuaui) and share a chopped salad. Drinks are good. I order the Dark and Stormy and the wife gets a nice cold beer. Plenty of TVs for viewing.

Just OK. I've been going to Talarico's for a few years now and this last visit I felt (tasted) that they have either changed the crust recipe or were simply not attentive enough to the crust recipe because it was dry, tasteless, and did not have that crispness that I expected - you know, when the crust starts to char from the hot pizza oven. It was bland... had no character. Maybe they changed flour vendors? It just was not the same crust. Here was the waiter's ("go screw off... I really don't care what you think") response though, "I'll go kill the chef." Really dude? Are you that disinterested in what your customers have to say? Maybe the chef would have liked to have heard that comment. Maybe he let someone else make the dough and they DID screw up - so he can fix that for future. Really? You're that disinterested? I will still go to Talarico's because of those slices. I'll live with the change they made to the crust (if in fact that was intentional). But I won't sit at the bar anymore if that jerk is working it.

Last night I went to Talarico's. It was allot of fun. I work late on the weekends and I was VERY happy to find out that Talarico's has their Happy Hour all the way till 1:00 AM. I had a slice of Hawaii'n pizza called the Kuai I think. It was pretty freaking huge. Almost 14 inches. It was good but the crust edge's were dry. And the parmesan cheese I had was not that good. I had a martini that was like $7.50. That was with the house vodka. And the wine, one glass was $6.50. I thought that was pretty expensive. I bought my friend a glass of wine too and with the pizza slice, which was only $4.50 (not bad), I ended up with a 28 dollar bill plus tip. So if you go there, get one slice of pizza. That is all that you will need. And go easy on the drinks. That shit adds up quick. The karaoke was the best part of the whole night. The was a KJ (Karaoke Jockey), named Gabrielle. He was very cool and did not make me wait too long to be in the rotation. There were a few people that sand more than they should have but they were obviously regulars. But Gabe has a really great sounding system. And he can find almost any song that you want to sing. The music that he played in between the singing was danceable and fun!!!!!! All in all I had a pretty good time last night and I am glad I went. But I will most likely skip the alcohol. Too damn expensive!

After my initial reviews, Talarico's quickly became our favorite spot. We were going there most weekends to party and during the day sometimes with our son for their pizza. During our most recent visit, we seated ourselves, as usual. It was around midnight and not too crowded. Our server came up and took our order. She asked if we wanted to open a tab or close out right away. We were actually only there for pizza this time and weren't ordering any drinks, so we didn't want to open a tab. She said that was fine and went to place our order. She came back a few minutes later with our check. We still hadn't even received our food. We ignored it and figured she was just trying to get it out of the way, but then she came back again and checked it. Still, no food. I was surprised because I've never received my check before my food at a restaurant before. I put the money in the book because I felt pressured. She came and took it, then I started thinking about it and decided I didn't want to eat there anymore. I don't like being rushed. I went to her as she was putting the money in the till and told her we wanted our money back. She said that's fine but our food is ready if that's why we wanted it back. I said no, that's not why. She came back to the table and I told her I just thought it was extremely rude that she expected us to pay before our food even came out. She said "it's not that I don't trust you, I don't trust anyone, people walk out all the time". At that point, I asked to talk to the manager. When the manager came out, he told us that it was at the server's discretion when they decide someone should pay first. I told him how often we come and had never been asked to do that and felt even more disrespected now that we knew it was just up to them to decide...like what is that based on?? He said I promise, we're not discriminating. I'll add now that my husband is black. We don't ever pull the race card and I hate when people do that, but I can't imagine what else he could have meant?? He gave us a $25 gift card, which we gave to a homeless person because we will not be coming back. Very disappointing. Still 2 stars because the pizza is amazing, but we'll just have to survive without it!

This is one out of three of my favorite pizza joints here in Seattle. If you like thin crust pizza and good beer, then this is the place just for that. The bartenders are super cool and they have fun trivia and karaoke nights. The crowd is diverse and all friendly. Bored? Well stop by and grab a slice, drink a beer, and enjoy the atmosphere!

5 stars for their pizza and drinks! They've been great every time. However, 1 star for the meatballs; they were very disappointing. Just imagine meatballs tasting like repurposed Spaghetti-O meatballs.....now you have 3 larger versions for 5x the price.

I loved this place! Every month we meet up with a group of friends for dinner. Last month we met in North Seattle, this month we decided to go further south and try out Talaricos. Mainly because I saw some pics of the HUGE slices of pizza on Instagram and knew I had to come see for myself! I was not disappointed. First off, beer on tap.... GOOD selection of micro brews, NOT cheap American crap beers (aka Coors, Bud... Etc). They had Ninkasi Dom IPA & Elysian's Orange Fuzz to name a few. During happy hour they are only $4 a pint! (3-6 DAILY, yes that even means weekends!!) My friend ordered the cheese and artichoke dip with flatbread. OMG, it was delicious! Had I known I was eating artichokes I probably wouldn't have tried it. Glad I did!!! Garlic, oozy gooey cheese goodness!!!! The pizza. Incredible! They have a selection of around 8-10 pizzas to choose from on the happy hour menu. 14" slices are only $4.50. (Regularly $5.99 I believe). I got the South Street. It had 2 kinds of sausage and mozzarella. I also asked to add ricotta because in my opinion, ricotta makes anything go from good to amazing! And it was just that!!! I sliced my huge slice into 2 slices to make it easier to eat! If you buy a whole pizza, prepare to shell out $46-$54!!! Wowza! The pizzas are so big when you call to order carry out, they ask what kind of car you drive. Yes, the pizzas are THAT big!! Me and my husband had 4 beers and 2 slices of pizza (all on HH). Our bill was only $29!!! Great service, the waitress saw me trying to figure out the bill (splitting it 4 ways) and offered to do so. Very nice!!! I most definitely, absolutely, positively will be back!!

My boyfriend and I stopped by last night around midnight after work for first time based off a recommendation. Fun atmosphere lots of people were at bar for HH, There was people singing karaoke, seemed like there was 3+ mics if people are interested. Great Happy Hour, the individual slices of pizza are as big as the menu 16" so dank. Love the way the Caesar salads are served as well. We both work in industry and we both loved it there, the cleanliness, atmosphere, Our server Christine (christina?) was absolutely amazing!! Looking forward to coming here more often!!

This place is a lot of fun. I had been a few times at night for the bar and karaoke, but a few nights ago the wife, kids and I met some friends for dinner. We wanted to try a few different pizzas so we ordered two whole pies. Holy crap, they are damn big pizzas! One pizza was half pepperoni, half Kauai (a Hawaiian with prosciutto instead of Canadian bacon.) The salty prosciutto with the pineapple is great. But, what isn't made better by adding prosciutto? The other pie was beyond good. Half Sinatra, half Drunken Sicilian. Both of these are now 2 of my favorite pizzas! I would love to give this place 5 stars, but i can't based on the pizza bone. I am a pie guy. I've worked in the pizza biz for over a decade. You can't have a bone like that! It was inedible. Too hard and flavorless. When you go to the trouble to come up with such great flavor combos, you've got to be able to do better on your dough. Other than that, this place is a good time.

Stopped in Talarico's for the first time after hanging out at the Junction on a late Sunday afternoon. We managed to stumble upon Happy Hour which was a major score (3-6pm and 11pm-1am) because our specialty slices were $4.50 versus $5.99. And OMG these slices are ginormous - 14 inches in length and definitely bigger than your head! One could easily string these together to make a interesting halter top or mini skirt a la Lady Gaga. Note: Kids are welcomed up to 9pm only, guess it's a 21 and older establishment afterwards. Kiddo ordered a Sprite ($2.50) and had a customized slice (basic cheese $4.99 and 75 cents each) for the added Mozzarella and Bacon. He devoured it and asked 'why hasn't this been featured on some food show?' The husband ordered at Mac & Jack's ($4.00) and had two specialty slices ($4.50 HH each): Kauai which had Prosciutto, Pineapple, Mozzarella and Marinara Sinatra had Cascioppo Brothers Spicy Sausage, Pepperoncinis, Black Olives, Mozzarella and Marinara Goodness that also entirely disappeared! The Kauai was favored over the Sinatra. Me - I stuck with water. (BTW - very clean women's bathroom, if you care about such things) I stupidly also ordered two specialty slices: Coppola had Goat Cheese, Garlic, Roasted Red Bell Peppers, Mozzarella, and Marinara South Street had generous Cascioppo Brothers Italian and Spicy Sausages, Mozzarella, and Marinara I was done in and had pretty much most of both slices left and kindly wrapped up neatly in aluminum foil to take home. I really liked the Coppola flavor profile better than the South Street. Guess I'll have yummy leftovers when I watch the Seahawks trounce the Redskins tomorrow on MNF! The crust and marinara sauce base doesn't standout like other Seattle pizza establishments, but definitely a sturdy canvas is needed to hold all these toppings. It's the sheer wow factor of the size of the pizza slices that will be remembered after a first visit.

This place is so awesome. Not only are the pizza pies and slices humung-O, but they're pretty flipping tasty too! Beer soaked onions? How does that not sound delicious? They've got tasty spaghetti and meatballs with the balls being the size of the moon X3! Proud to report there were no flying meatballs. Woot woot. They've got a full bar with a great drink selection including a drink of the week and Junction Juice (a bucket filled with 3 types of malibu and 3 different juices). Affordable Happy Hour prices for drinks and food. On Tuesday (trivia night) Mac N Jack is only $2.50. The space is totally rad. Dark, large booths that'll fit all your friends and long tables with stools. There are TVs mounted in various locations for those sports fans. Tuesday night is Trivia night and boy do they mean Trivia! There are some serious teams and serious questions and bad ass players. I felt like I was revisiting high school chemistry class one round and let me tell you I don't remember a darn thing. Go team mates for picking up the slack! $2 a person per team member to play and there are prizes. Bottom two receive champagne bottles and top 3 receive cash prizes. It's cheap entertainment and a lot of fun. Great location in the spanking middle of the West Seattle junction. I need to study up before I join in for trivia again, but will be returning for more pie.

My friends and I were hungry for some pizza and one of them suggested Talarico's. I was completely confused at first because the decor looked like something you'd find at a Chinese restaurant. Then I found out that that's exactly what it used to be, once upon a time. Decor aside, you get a larger-than-your-face slice of pizza of your choice for $6. Large portions are great, but the thin crust makes the pizza difficult to pick up and ultimately ended up being a knife and forker. What's the point of a pizza if you can't eat with your hands? I ordered the Sinatra, and though it was satisfying, it was definitely nothing mind-blowing. I think next time, I might stick with the simpler pizza options. Service was good though. I ordered a whole Chop Chop salad to share with my boyfriend and the server gladly split it up for us and when the kitchen forgot one of our slices of pizza, she made sure to bring it out right away and didn't even charge us since we had to wait so long. Probably not my first option for pizza but it's worth another try.

Apparently if you're a "regular" here or you have good stripes in the karaoke, it is permissible to walk around to random tables and knock over customers' beers on them and get away with it. I watched this same guy doing this (Anders?) after I escorted him away being carried around by people barely able to walk and still being overserved. All I got was a rag to clean up our soaked phones and table and a half apology from a couple waitresses. This place has become so sloppy over the years and it is a bummer because it had a lot going for it.

I like to rate this just slightly more than four stars but it's not quite five. Taliricos is a nice, low light restaurant and bar with a decent specialty cocktail menu, a need for a larger tap selection and a fairly decent list of house wines (though I usually don't order wine here) For the most pat the staff is friendly and on top of their service. I've had a couple of questionable services but minor by comparison to many other local establishments. I have to say I haven't sample the entire menu but the meatballs are awesome, the cheese bread is average but the 14" single slice is not only delicious, it's a great value especially on happy hour. They have tons of great combinations (the Kauai and the Sinatra are my two favs). The slices are always served hot and the tipping are generous. Now and then it can be a little undercooked making it tough to cut with a knife and fork (yes, the slice is that big, you can do a fold-over but that is still huge and hard to handle) and if overcooked it is also difficult to cut but, when done right, it just awesome and one slice is all you'll ever need. If you should order a whole pie be prepared they're about the size if a tire on an 18-wheeler but great for a big group. Big TV's for sports (no sound for games though). All-in-all, it's a goo place and I hope they continue to improve and I hope they get more taps.

It's hard to not give Talarico's five stars when the two times we've been in have been less than five minutes before the kitchen closed, and they still managed to make us an amazing pizza. (Thanks servers and BOH!) Fellow Yelpers, before you pass judgement, we did ask if it would even be possible because we realized it was late...we didn't demand pizza! I've also ordered their chicken parmesan and cheesy garlic bread for take-out before, and it was even better than their pizza. Especially that garlic bread...wow. Will definitely be coming here when I'm craving Italian from now on!

Great east coast pizza right here in Seattle! The crist is just right so that those big Philly style slices fold and hold their weight just as they should. Sauce is flavorful with a slight hint of spice and the cheese is fresh and perfectly place evenly across the whole slice. Nice work guys!! And the service is great! Only thing you should be aware of is this place a bar and lounge, so don't go in expecting a quiet meal. I love the vibe, so it doesn't bother me, but it might not be the place for everyone. Especially on Friday and Saturday nights!! Overall, great pizza place that actually can legitimately say they have east coast style pizza.

3' wide pizza! If you have 6 people, definitely get a whole pizza. It's huuuuuuge. They also sell it by the slice and the slices are massive. It's not the greatest This place is great for watching games. There are TVs everywhere and they put on the sound full blast. And everyone comes out wearing Seahawks stuff :)

Came here to watch the huskies game. Apparently, they are the only place around with the cbssports channel. Too bad we've had pizza 5 times this week so we opted to get the chop chop and chicken pasta dish, the one with the lemon. Neither was very good. The chicken in the pasta was flavorless and the sauce was way too lemony. The salad looked like it was doused in dressing but also lacking in flavor. I like their pizzas a lot. Will stick with that next time. Oh, and the brownie dessert I like - gone from the menu.

Wait time (on Saturday, during prime-time): Only about 10 minutes with three people Service: Three/four stars, one waitress questioned us, thinking we sat ourselves, and was a little harsh about it. Our waitress was very nice, she did forget to bring a coke to one person, but brought it quickly after we reminded her. Food came pretty quickly, and our plates were bussed right after we finished. I'm sure service would have been even better on a slower night. Atmosphere: Great, loud (of course) but fun. Food/drink: The best part! I got the bacon margarita, the candied bacon was great, drink was great. It was the perfect amount of spice, stronger than the average place, and HUGE, definitely worth the $10. Food was fantastic, we had pizza which was big, and cheap, even off happy hour. The other food passing by looked great too. Overall everything was awesome and will definitely return for some more delicious 'za!

Biggest best crafted 14" pizza slices you will attempt to devour! I got Tarantino and hubby got the J. Wilber BBQ chicken slice! Came in on my lunch, not only was it happy hour, but my server was amazing. She made sure to put a rush on my order so I had enough time to enjoy it! Really great atmosphere, plus it had huge TV screens, perfect for game day.

This place does everything right. The happy hour is amazing, the pizza slices are massive and delicious (sweet marinara, mmm), the decor is both fun and professional, the drink selection is able to accommodate nearly everything, and the service was consistently great. Seriously impressed!

If "big" is your thing, you'll love the pizza slices here. If "delicious, tasty" is your thing, you may want to try somewhere else. This place is great to meet up with friends and have a couple cocktails. The crowd seems pretty you and the staff are pretty fun loving.

I'm just not as impressed as I was before. The pizza got old very fast. The margerita pizza is made with very cheap tomatoes and basil. If you'd like good pizza, head up the block to Pizzeria Credo.

Kid-friendly? YES! We came in for a quick dinner after spending the entire day at Alki beach. Our 2 and 4 year old were cranky and exhausted. However, for a party of two kids and two adults, we waited just under 10 min at 645pm. Not bad for a bustling place. We were taken to a table where coloring pages and crayons were waiting for us, and our kids were instantly entertained. The pizza slices were huge, and the staff knew to split the single slice into two, one smaller slice for each kid, plus cut them into kid-sized pieces (we ordered Kauai for the kids, they devoured it). I ordered the chop chop salad: fresh ingredients, perfect amount of dressing, husband ordered the Sinatra. Now the Sinatra is SPICY. When you normally order "spicy" sausage on your pizza, it's "zesty" at best. But Talarico's means it when it's spicy, and my heat-seeking husband LOVED it. First time dining in West Seattle. First time at Talarico's. I am certain we will be back here with the kids after another summer jaunt to the beach.

They have amazing happy hour! They have a decent amount of TVs to watch any games. But the best part is karaoke and when nobody is participating the dj/servers do and they kill it!! Love love love there pizza and have a great selection of beers. I can't imagine anybody not having a good time here.

It's a sports bar that claims to make what they call "East Coast style" pizza. I'm from NY and I call bullsh#t. Let me tell you why.. Good NY pizza sticks to the basics and doesn't over do it- Thin crust, just enough sauce and toppings. Here they slather on sauce and toppings. The BIGGEST FAIL of their pizza that completely strips away their right to say they are east coast style is by the fact YOU CANNOT FOLD THIER SLICES! Any self respecting person from the tri-state knows the only way to eat a pizza is by folding it. When you fold the pieces here, there is so much stuff weighing down the pizza with a weak crust that the main body of the pizza breaks off from the crust! As far as the ambiance, it reminds me more of a TGIF Fridays or Chili's than pizzeria. I think more people are enamored by the frat-boy like essence of this place than by the food. So if you like watching big screens with yer high giving "bros" and girls who love reading Skinny Bitch while reliving their spring break in Cancun, you'll love this place. If you like real NY pizza without the onslaught of polo shirts, short skirts and flashy clothes, go to Giannonis in Westwood village. One good thing, the service was really good.

I went on a Saturday night, the joint was surprisingly empty. My party of 7 therefor got a great spot instantly, we were served quickly by a very friendly and obviously experienced server. I had one of their specialty drinks (I had a long night of drinks afterwards and can't tell you the name of the drink but it was very good! lol) My friend and I split a slice of Kauai - Prosciutto, pineapple, mozzarella and marinara. They cut it in half for us and served it on our own plates, which was awesome and still a good portion of pizza! We also had some tasty appetizers, I was very full after having a meatball (HUGE) and bruschetta. The food and drinks were great, as well as the service. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. My complaints are the lighting and noise level. There was some karaoke and while it was fun and entertaining it is a huge pet peeve of mine when restaurants have the volume up so loud that you have to be a skilled lip-reader to even attempt a conversation with the person next to you. I was visiting with some good friends and couldn't' even hear myself when yelling at the top of my lungs. The lighting was so dark I couldn't see a thing. I took my glasses off; I couldn't see much anyways, and then ended up leaving my glasses there! Luckily they were up at the bar the next day when I drug myself back up to West Seattle, hungover as all get out.

If you go during HH, you can order a giant slice of pizza for $4.50. I thought the pizza was pretty good for the price. We went on a Wed afternoon, and it was pretty busy already. There was one bartender tending a large bar, and she was clearly overworked. Initially she was very helpful, but once customers started piling in, it was a long time to get service. I'm not sure why a large restaurant like this would be understaffed. This is a good, comfortable spot for value/quantity of food.

Service was great! Food was delicious! Beware though, pizza slice is BIG! And i mean shareable. Got the baked ziti lunch special, meatball and sausage in it was good, real tomatoes and homecooked taste. Price is reasonable. I would come back and definitely recommend if you are in the west seattle area.

  • Kimmy C.

I hardly venture to west seattle, but I honestly think that this place is well worth the venture down there. talaricos has awesome large slices and its even better when you go for happy hour because you can order by the slice and it is slightly cheaper. If you're really feeling the thrill, you can get drunk and sing some karaoke =) parking is actually not too bad in the area. but i guess if you compare it to downtown seattle, it is significantly better. There are a ton of restaurants in this area so I must come back to try it all!

All in all, Talerico's is a fun spot. Great drinks, decent local brew selection and pizza by the slice that's the size of the table. I'd give 3 1/2 stars here, but I can't, so I felt 3 was close enough. Why isn't Talerico's a strong 4 star? Well, the pizza gets to be a little bit much. My husband ordered the margarita pizza once, we had a tomato base and mozzarella on top, and then MORE fresh mozzarella and basil on top of that. TOO MUCH CHEESE. We've ordered other slices that we felt the same way, it gets to a point where it's just too much -- if they'd lighten up on the cheese, I'd give them a 5 star. Salads are nice, there are some fun vegetarian starters with polenta, and again, I like the happy hour menu. I've seen other people complain about kids -- I've seen that only once, my bigger issue is the loud TV with sports that gets old. When I go out, I like to be able to talk to my friends and catch up, I'm not there to sit there, be quiet and watch TV. Just a personal observation. After the last time we were there, with the loud TV, it made it where we didn't feel like going back -- and that's a shame.

If you want big pizza, Talarico's is the spot. During happy hour, they not only have drink specials, but they have 14" slices of pizza. The slices are only $4, and are as big as your face! I had the Sinatra, which was covered with Italian sausage and pepperoncini peppers. Draft beers are $3.50, and they have some good options. Inside, the lighting was dim, which made it a bit hard to see my food. Overall, though, the ambience was good. There is a huge circular bar with plenty of seating, as well as booths around the perimeter of the room. The bartenders were great, and I never had to wait long for a drink refill. Oh, and there's free wifi! Ask the bartender for the password. Overall, a great happy hour/early dinner find!

Talarico's, A place you can go where everybody knows your na.......wait that's a different bar. Forget that sentence and let me start all over again. Talarico's, it's a place with good food and pizza the size of a small child. Now I know what you're thinking. "Manny my child is bigger then their pizza." To you I say shut up and just keep reading. First lets talk about their location. Now if you are from Seattle you know how the seasons are. If you aren't let me fill you in on how they are. There is only two seasons here. Winter and construction. That being said this place is in a perfect location for both. It's in the junction of West Seattle (and no it isn't an island.) with a lot of parking in perfect walking distance you can't complain. Once you walk inside you will be delighted to to know that the staff is fast to greet you and it is usually open seating so you don't have to stand around waiting. Now let's talk about the good stuff. Talarico's has some amazing food. I am a blue wedge guy and I have to say it is THE BEST in Seattle. Seriously. I had one at a plac that I won't mention that was known for theirs and let's just say it was awful. Talarico's doesn't just have good wedge. They have something that is not really known on the west coast. Good pizza! With all that goes into a good pizza the west coast tends to kill it with either bad water or just trying to be "too healthy" talarico's does it right. Not since Rotten City Pizza in Oakland,Ca have I had such good pizza on the west coast. Oh and by the way you will only need one slice. Why? Because the slices are huge. Wait that doesn't do it justice. Let say that again. They are HUGE! Still not doing it good. Let me try one more time. THEY ARE HUGE!!!! Much better. They are also complimented with the toppings. Meat, veggies, or even traditional cheese. You can't go wrong. Also the rest of the menu is amazing as well. The homemade meatballs are amazing. Talarico's is a great place, however it does have some drawbacks. They only have 6 beers on tap and while that isn't a problem for me being that I don't drink. I can see how for some people it can be a problem. The men's room is a little cramped. It's kinda like trying to pee in a smart car that has Shaq in it spread out. Also like everywhere else in Seattle it tends to get packed during Seahawks games. Then again that is every bar in Seattle so actually I won't hold that against them. So Talarico's. A great place in the heart of West Seattle.

Wasted and starving... I guess... Talarico's has the worst pizza I have ever tasted. It is really cheap so at least they have that and good specials going for them. If you love pizza , Don't waste your time. The crust is mediocre. The cheese is terrible quality, definitely cheap and processed. The pizza's and everything else are extremely large , I guess it's more about quantity than quality.

3.5. Now one would think that I come here for the pizza, but I don't. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is good!! BUT!!! I like the chop chop salad. I coerce others to come with me and tell them ALL ABOUT THE PIZZA, but once I am in the door, I order salad! Our server was really attentative in the beginning, but wavered more towards the end. We had to ask a seperate server for fresh pepper on our salad. :( And when the people next to us hadnt seen a server come by, we asked our server who their server was and if he could help them, he said that their server was someone else. Hmmm... I am pretty sure their server is you. My date and I started with the Chop Chop Salad. You can order this in a small portion or as an entree... we shared the entree. I ordered 2 apps as my entree, the meatballs and the broccolini. (both tasty!) My date had pizza and the meat and cheese platter with a side of flat bread. (again, all tasty) I am sad to say we didnt order dessert because my date wanted the ice cream from Husky across the street. So I will have to return for more salad... and DESSERT!!

Yummy pizza, huge slices! I loved the West Side slice, personally. I ordered a few slices for pick up and came at 2:05am and the server still let me pick it up and pay. I was afraid I was too late but I was glad he still helped me and didn't treat me as if I was an inconvenience. I was still greeted with a smile and sent off with a thank you have a great night, and a few extra napkins. I ordered two slices for myself thinking one wouldn't be enough but boy oh boy was I wrong. I could barely finish one slice! It was filling and I didn't think it was too greasy. Also in my short time inside the actual restaurant when I picked up my order, I observed that it was well decorated and pretty cool looking on the inside. Very chill. I think I'll have to come here again but this time to sit down and have some drinks. I appreciated the service and the delicious (and humongous) pizza!

The only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because 4 is a lot for me. I love this place. I can be in downtown Seattle at 1am not able to find food, and not only do they have a late night happy hour til 2am here in little WS, but It's $4 for a slice of pizza big enough for 2 people and it's actually good! The hostesses are a little bit stupid and it can be frustrating, but hey, hostesses are only a pretty face to greet you. If you can just get past them, the service is great

Came here on a Sunday early afternoon with a friend for football and some pizza. Menu is quite expansive and does offer a wide array of other options beyond stereotypical bar food, even though these days standard bar food menu has become pretty large. The lounge is big, kinda funky decor and has some booths, a large square-shaped bar with plenty of stools and some big tables. Nice option of TVs as well to catch the games. Didn't have drinks but looks like they had a wide variety of options including beers on tap. Pizza was huge and very delicious for just 1 slice per person (14" slice) for $6. Surprisingly wasn't busy so didn't get all the noise other people have mentioned but guess it may not be as popular of a place to check out around 130pm on Sunday afternoons. Only breezed through but definitely would come by again for another slice!

A great way to finish off my foray into eating/drinking not-so-healthy food the last few weeks. If you're going to fall off the wagon, this is just as good as spot as any. I came here for my first time last night for a birthday party, and being about 40 of us, I think we overwhelmed the staff. Our waitperson was dynamite though and split a bill between 6 of us (what a doll!) Funny, when a few of us decided to go in on a few pies, I didn't know what we were ordering, and the pizzas seemed small (12") when they arrived. My friend commented on how good they all were and I was thinking, "Weird. The crust isn't all that great but fellow Yelpers seem to dig this spot." Only later, did I find out that we were eating gluten-free crust. Hasu desu ka. It all makes sense. So in consideration of the fact that it was GF, the pizza was really, really good considering most GF crusts taste like salted cardboard! This is my next go-to spot for a large gathering. Our people took up the tables arranged bench-style in the back as well as the round seats around the fireplace. Yikes, it was warm sitting next to that thing. They had a tiny tap selection--especially considering how large the bar itself is. But it's cool, in honor of the birthday girl, we moved to vodka and the tap was long forgotten. Then. The karaoke arrived. Monday karaoke! I screeched out one song :) Even though I was full, I ordered a Chicken pesto slice with brie and pears, and a meatball slice (for my boys) to go--so I too could experience the regular crust and the gigantical slices. These slices are so huge ($6.99) that they can double as a country's flag. The verdict: it's really good pizza, with quality toppings. The alcohol isn't cheap here, so if they have a HH, it would probably be better to come then. Check out their karaoke!

Solid happy hour grub. Nothing fancy, just big old honking slices of pizza for $4 in a cozy bar atmosphere. A slice of Kauai, a slice of Margarita and a plate of bruschetta set us back $15. Not too greasy and generous with toppings. Reasonably good flavor on the sauce. Crust is OK. 3 to 3.5 stars.

Went here for a quick bite and a drink when I was visiting my friend's new townhome in West Seattle. I just wanted a small bite to eat, not a full entree, so I loved how they offered pizza by the slice. I got the Tarantino (green peppers, red onion, and kalamata olives) and it was super delicious! The green pepper was cooked perfectly so it still had a crunch to it which I think made all the difference. The slice was pretty substantial too, almost didn't finish it! I also had a big, fat bloody mary in a huge goblet glass. I had no idea the drink was going to be that big! And it was decently priced too. We also were at Talarico's on the same night as a Santa bar hop so it was pretty awesome to be eating pizza next to a super drunk Santa at 730PM. Will be back!

The manager reached out to me regarding my low score on Yelp. She was nice enough to send me a gift card which I received back in December of '13. I ended up moving out of West Seattle a few months later so I decided to give the gift card to a co-worker who tried to use it in May '14. Unfortunately the co-worker reported to me the gift card was empty. I emailed the same manager via Yelp who mailed me the card explaining the situation. I got no reply, not entirely sure if she works there any longer.

This bar can be fun at times. It honestly depends on the night. I wouldn't recommend going to karaoke night unless you like bad singing blasted in your ears though (think louder than usual karaoke). I enjoy the food here as well as the environment, but honestly there are often a lot of douchey guys and girls hanging out here on the weekends. I think my favorite is going for a late bite during the week when it's more chill.

They have Shiner Bock in a bottle! My favorite beer! You gotta get it! Food was pretty good, pizza is GIGANTIC. It's worth going to if you want a late(ish) night meal and drink. I'd like to try some of their house cocktails next time. Garlic bread was pretty good too, also HUGE. EVERYTHING HERE IS HUGE

Slices are big and yummy. Granted, it's not the greatest pizza I have ever had. But it's still good. Try the margarita. Staff was friendly. Like the big booths. Cool atmosphere. Wine was good. We will definitely be back!

Everyone raves about their pizza. I'm not a huge fan. But I do love their three cheese artichoke dip and Caesar salad. It's a nice restaurant to stop in for appetizers and drinks.

Cannot say enough about the great customer service and staff. The beer is cold my drinks always full and there's always a nice smile on the bartenders face. Not to mention it is a very clean establishment I would have to say the restrooms are a 10 out of 10

The pizza here is enormous and so good! I've also had the artichoke dip, mac and cheese, and their spaghetti with squash noodles... everything there is delicious. Great happy hour and ambience.. Fun to watch televised games here too!

We were here for a 40th birthday party, and it was my first experience with Talarico's. Definitely not what I was expecting! It's got some nifty decor (and indoor fire pits) and was very crowded. The noise level was actually too loud for me (I'm partially deaf, and it gets worse the more background noise there is, so I was reading lips- unsuccessfully- the entire time). The staff was thin, but upbeat despite being clearly overloaded. If you're on a tight schedule, don't eat here Saturday night- it took a long time to take our order, a longer time to get our food, and an even longer time to cash our check BUT our waitress was all smiles and apology and took the time to talk to us about the beer menu. The pizza....the portions are huge (10" across at the crust, 14" long) so one slice truly will satisfy. Which is good, because the slices ate $7-$9 apiece. We tried the Coppola (tasty), and the Lil Devil (not as hot as we'd hoped, had to add lots of red pepper flake). The Lil Devil was super, super greasy, but both were a nice thin crust and I appreciate the selection of toppings they offer. It's not the best pizza I've ever had, but it's definitely unique. The beer menu is sad. Nothing darker than an amber on tap, so maybe I should redefine this as a 'restaurant that serves some booze'. Overall, as a gathering spot for a party this was an excellent spot. It wouldn't work well, in my opinion, for a date, business meal, or anything that requires conversation. But we'll probably be going back....if nothing else, to try their delicious-looking margaritas!

Karaoke. Slices. Carafe of Sangria. Annnnnd go. This place is always a safe bet to leave stuffed to the brim. Also, once the karaoke starts... entertainment abounds. Mmmmm...Pizza.

If you're in the area, in your hotel, half drunk, and it's midnight, and you're starving, you might as well get a slice here. $6 and it was pretty filling, and not horrible. Soggy, but roll it up and stuff it in your face and call it a night. Inside it was a large bar/restaurant that was blaring really shitty & obnoxious club / hiphop garbage. Count me out. I don't know what made me order meatballs but it was a mistake, they were dry and the sauce they were in was so fucking salty it was inedible. These ended up flying out my window. Not the package though, that went into a proper receptacle.

Had the meatballs and spaghetti tonight. The meatballs are exquisite. We also enjoyed the wedge salad with blue cheese. Comes with thick bacon. Try the honey and basil cocktail they are incredible. Ask for Andrea for your server she does a great job. We're Having the cannoli for dessert, it is also incredible. Bottom line, if you have a chance to have only one meal in West Seattle have it at Talarico's!

Came out here for a friend's birthday the other night. What I love about this place is the pizza slices! They are HUGE! I literally could save a slice of pizza for another meal and one slice is about $6, so that's a good deal in my opinion! I tried the godfather and that was deLISH! The atmosphere was fun and lively (Saturday night) so it was definitely a great place to have a party. The only thing that was kind of a pain was when we got our checks. The waitress had somethings mixed up, but we had a fairly large group of split the checks all these different ways, so I give her the benefit of the doubt with the mix ups. Plus, it was a busy Saturday night, I know I would have a hard time keeping up. It's out in West Seattle, which isn't the most convenient for me, but it's definitely a place I would go to again if I'm in the area looking for something fun to do :)

Fantastic ginormous pizza that tastes as good as it looks! Monkey can only come here with a big group without having to eat pizza for weeks. This time, our family of 10 reservation made do with only 4 slices of leftovers. Not bad for being hungry after a good hike. Service is superb, even with the 18% gratuity added for large groups. Server DID NOT disappear on us, which was a beautiful thing since we did have kids with us. Monkey do 28" HALF GODFATHER, HALF BBQ CHICKEN, cut into 16 slices. GODFATHER, naturally, overruled in flavor and satisfaction. BBQ CHICKEN was good, but this is another reminder that bbq always belongs on the grill. Monkey can't wait for another occasion to bring us here again. More pizza!

Have wanted to go here for some time and finally did tonight. Food was served promptly, pizza was delicious. I ordered succotash, not a very Italian thing, but I wanted veggies, and they were great too. the happy hour 18" slice is about 8" wide. For $4.00 you get A LOT of pizza.

This is now one of the top two thin sliced pizza places I've had. Like Jumbo slice in Washington DC, try sell pizza by the slice. But unlike Jumbo slice, this is a nice bar and restaurant that I'd definitely hang out at as well. I prefer their pizza to any I tried in New York...including the famous Grimaldi's. The Sinatra was definitely my favorite of the two slices I tried. Also, would recommend just one slice at first since the slices are huge!!!

Been here a lot. Love the pizza. We were able to get a big group reservation and that went smoothly too. Service is good. I like the fireplace. Sometimes really busy though, so don't go without a reservation with a larger group.

So this place.....let's talk about it, actually I'll type you read. If you like good shots, come here. Pizza, it's alright, sure stop by sure why not. More penis than vagina constantly with veteran employees who have less enthusiasm to work than the newbies stop on by. Need a last resort in West Seattle, search no more....You found home

Still great, and not just because I was pleased with the outcome of the election I was watching there. I'm really starting to like this place. The pizza is great (and still enormous), the beers are good, and it's casual and intimately lit; youI feel totally comfortable sitting at the bar or meeting friends for a few drinks. And the TVs are present but not obnoxious. Great spot.

This place has been a solid West Seattle favorite for years and has one of the best happy hours I've seen. We usually sit at the bar where the service has always been friendly and you can order full menu and watch games on one of the two bar screens. Happy hour happens twice and the first one is 3-6. The happy hour menu includes a good selection of slices and sides plus your beer and wine are cheaper. The Pizza is East-Coast which means it's thin and you can fold it if you want because it's not hard like a saltine cracker. The pizza here has been consistently good since they opened in 2006. My slice is the Coppola; add pepperoni and perfect! Every time one of those slices shows up it's a Kodak moment, which is why so many have already uploaded pics of slices for your viewing pleasure. But look around at the size of the pizza slices before ordering more than one since they are Grandissimo! The meatball side is noteworthy and also photogenic sitting under a warm sheet of Parmesan cheese. They should satisfy any large appetite for beef since they are Cadillac sized just like the pizza slices. I'm Italian and I love beef but I'm only good for two of those monsters.

I've always loved Talaricos HH and Karaoke nights, but today was especially good because of Lauren! She gave the best service and we weren't exactly the easiest this particular time. She was very upbeat, and enthusiastic. She truly did a great job! Thank you Lauren for a great experience!

This place really only stays open because of the novelty of huge slices and it's one of the only pizza places nearby that isn't a national chain. The pizza is mediocore at best and there are other places in the city with big slices (with better taste and cheaper!) Service is good but why cheat myself when there is better elsewhere?

So my review is solely on entertainment and alcoholic purposes as I have never eaten their food. We came in last Saturday with a group of about 15. We were greeted at the door by some amazing looking man, who could have strip searched me, if it were necessary. We found a couple open tables in the corner near the windows (and thank goodness, because it was hotter than two squirrels f**king on a wool sock. We later found out that the windows behind us actually opened. Which let the breeze fly in! I, myself, was VERY happy to see they had the karaoke machine up and running. I am a karaoke enthusiast, as you may say. Hi, my name is Brie, and I LOVE karaoke. I sang a couple songs that night, and DAAANG. Local celebrity over here! New karaoke spots are the cats meow! I love singing to new crowds, and especially with a wireless microphone! The sound was great, the crowd was into it. I gotta say it was a good day. (4 Stars, because I havent tried the food yet! But I will soon!)

Another chapter in the ongoing quest to find a pizza we can call home in W. Seattle. We favor a pie that is as much about the crust as it is about the toppings. The outstanding feature here is size price ratio. The slices are 14" long and 1/12 of what is the biggest pie I have seen. We split a goat cheese roast red pepper slice along with a wonderful roast beat salad and a very good cannalini bean salad mixed with chopped parsley reminiscent of tabbouleh. We had 4 oz. pours of house red and white wine for $4.00 each that were very drinkable. The crust was between thick and thin and vanished in the mouth like cotton candy, so just a vehicle for the excellent and well proportioned toppings. We will return but are still searching. So far, Pagliacci has our favorite crust topping blend but is really take out/ delivery only and Pizzeria 22 our favorite ambiance and staff but the crust is still slightly soggy in the middle when the outside is done.

Pizza! And it's better than Zeeks! And the slices are MASSIVE! Why three stars? Stopped by on a Friday night for pizza. Drinks had been consumed prior to arriving here and service seemed to drop off after we indicated it would be a pizza only evening. Our waitress disappeared after dropping off our slices of pie. She really never came back. The tables with drunk people had service every three minutes. Our table was collecting dust. I had to ask another waitress if our waitress had died. Yeah, I said that...now there's a "spit order" with my mug posted on the wall. The moral of the story here is that the pizza is good, but the service is hit or miss. Go check it out.

Many have talked about the size of the slices. I was skeptical. We can all pull from high school geometry and figure that a 14" slice of pizza comes from a 28" diameter pizza pie. If you were to take that pie and cut it into 100 slices, then a 14" slice still isn't that much pizza. So to clarify for the doubters out there, it is indeed a 14" slice, but equally importantly. It's 1/8 of that total 28" pie. This alone would make it worth a trip, but the kicker is its really great pizza. Not a huge beer selection, but they have a couple quality choices including a proprietary IPA from Elliot Bay.

So, I am on a quest to find really good pizza. A challenge in Seattle, I know. A little web sleuthing pointed us to Talarico's. My husband and I each did some looking on our own -- admittedly focused on West Seattle -- and we both honed in on Talarico's, which I took as a good sign. We liked the idea of "east coast slices." Well, as someone who is actually from the East Coast... We were greeted and seated (in a comfy booth) immediately by a friendly host. So far, so good. It is a tad dark inside, but I guess that is to be expected at a place that has a padded door and calls itself a "lounge." We each ordered a mega-slice of pizza and I also ordered a small salad. The server who took our order was perfectly friendly and pleasant. A different server brought the salad over, though. She, upon noticing that there were two people and only one salad, asked if we wanted a second plate. My husband said "no, thank you." She then turned to me and said, "no sharing for you." WTF? My husband is not hungry for salad and that makes me someone who does not play well with others? Honestly, I have no idea what her comment was supposed to mean. But, one could easily take it as a dig. My husband, who generally lets just about anything roll off him, agreed it was out of line. He has worked a server in the past and said it would have never entered his head to make a negative comment like that to a customer. Anyhow, once I got over my irritation with this, I dug into the salad, the "sweet signora," and it was actually quite good. Fresh veggies with walnuts and dried cherries. It was topped by lovely white balsamic vinaigrette. So often vinaigrettes are way too acidic for my taste, but this one was most definitely not. I do think its price was tad high, though. The salad (a "starter salad" per the menu; a "1/2 salad" per the server and the bill) was pretty small and not quite worth the $7 charged. On to the pizza: I ordered the "West Side" -- pepperoni, mushrooms, mozzarella, and marinara. The crust was tasty -- a perfect balance of not-too-chewy and not-too-crunchy. The toppings were fine and plentiful. But, there was next to no sauce. This is a 14 inch slice and there was about a teaspoon of sauce on it. It was spread so thin, some bits honestly had no sauce at all. I don't want a sauce to overwhelm, but I want to be able to taste it. And, this I could not. So, despite finding Talarico's to not be all bad, I am left with impressions of overpriced food, a judgmental server, and sauceless pizza. I cannot see returning any time soon.

Best. Pizza. Ever. Go there during happy hour and get it for a reduced price. Or just go there whenever and pay full price. It's worth it. If you're in Seattle, make the trip across the bridge to West Seattle just to try the pie here. It's loud, fun, and a better slice than you've ever eaten.

It's cool that they can text you when your table is ready. Funky decor in the used-to-be-a Chinese space would make for a very cool place if they upped their game. But they are choosing to go the family, sports-bar route. It's really LOUD with lots of screaming kids. We were very surprised by this since pizzas are $50 each, but since you can buy them a slice at a time I guess it makes sense. We had the Sweet Signora salad as a starter and it was delicious. The server split it on two plates, which was very nice. He would not allow me to taste the two wines I wanted to taste before ordering. Every other restaurant I go to allows me to do that (although my husband says I've just been lucky), but the waiter was a little offended by this request. The pizza is their claim to 'fame' and a full pizza is 28" across. You can order a slice of any of their signature pies or make your own for about $5 or 6. If you'd had a salad or app, one slice is all you will need because it's going to be 14" long. Thing is, from our perspective, you can put just about anything on a pizza and make it taste fabulous or unique or whatever, but if you didn't get the crust right what are you doing calling yourself an Italian restaurant? The crust at Talarico's is like soggy cardboard. Tasteless and completely falling apart in the middle because it hasn't been cooked properly. There is no flavor at all. Truly, I cannot recall even eating the rounded end because it didn't taste like anything. And the marinara tasted like it came out of a jar. With Spiros a mile or so down the street, I am shocked this place is in business at all but they have a prime Junction location and a zillion TVs tuned to your favorite game. Most everyone seems to be rating the drinks and the bartending so maybe I just don't get it at all.

Favorite pizza in Sea. Period. First off, allow me to state the obvious: the pizza slices are GIGANTIC, giving you more bang for your buck. Second of all, this place has the best happy hour ($5 Caesars and $4 slices). I have never once walked in here without being greeted with a smile. The service here is so amazing, the food always arrives within 15 minutes, and they are always smiling and are very attentive. My favorite server is this blonde haired girl we had the other night. The whole night, she was very nice to everyone at our table group, and you could tell she wanted to be here. So what are you waiting for, stop reading this review, and please go to Talaricos. (Kids allowed until 9pm)

I'm gonna throw it out there, and you may not agree- but the pizza here ssssssuuuuuccccckkkkkkssssss. (You have to say it drawn out like that in your head.) Really, it's super bad. So awful. I know it's HUMUNGO ZOMG SO BIG pieces, but that's even worse because two times the amount of bad food = double badness. Pasta, salads, etc, etc are pretty alright. Eat those and let your stupid friends eat crappy pizza and think it's good just because it's giant. Then you can feel smug and smart. Drinks are good, but pricing gets weird- ASK before you order doubles/mid shelf/top shelf. Beer is good, but selection isn't comparable to a lot of other JX spots. Service is good. Trivia is wonderful. Only $2 for a well done trivia night, and the servers are really good at keeping up with the large groups that trivia usually pulls in.

After moving to W. Seattle in March we finally went to check this place out. I loved the vibe of it. It had a lot of dark wood, but was still filled with light. A very European feel that still felt cozy. Right now I'm on a very restricted diet and I was ecstatic to find that they had Spaghetti Squash on the menu. I get bored with only being able to have a salad when I go out to eat. It was Delish! The portion size was perfect and I left there feeling very satisfied. They also have one gluten free beer and a GF cider. Thanks for making it easy to see what was gluten free on the menu, too! I'll be back.. maybe next time I'll check out a salad :)

In addition to Bakery Nouveau this is a West Seattle pilgrimage site for me. I love their giant thin crust slices. My favs are the Copolla and the Oglio d'Avio. They also have some great varying appetizers like a watermelon soup in the summer that was refreshing and surprising, great spinach artichoke dip and others! I've only ever been on weekends for lunch so I'm not sure about some of the other activities reported here but my bf says the karaoke is actually really good. Numerous screens for sporting events.

Have been to Talarico's several times. Usually always for pizza though once I got a bean salad, which was very yummy too. Most recently I tried the Venetian and it is probably my new favorite! It was huge though...not just a huge slice but STACKED with toppings. Definitely not stingy on anything. The meatballs on the Venetian were perfectly seasoned. The slices seem expensive but one probably will fill you up, so fairly reasonable actually. Cool ambiance inside. Looking forward to returning.

Dude... seriously?! This place is rad! At the suggestion of a friend who just lives down the street we planned a dinner date to get caught up and Talerico's was the lucky spot to host our chatfest. I didn't realize then that I could use the Open Table app or Open Table link via Yelp to make reservations but luckily we were seated within minutes of walking through the door. We were greeted promptly upon entering and then sat shortly after that. Next time though... I'm going to earn some Open Table points and make a res. I really loved the decor and atmosphere of Talerico's. The low lighting and dark fixtures gave it a great vibe. All the quiet chattering of other patrons and the clink and clang of drinks being made at the central bar all made me fall in love with this joint. I may move in... so set me up with a cot in the back 'cause this kid is bringing his pink bunny jammies and making a cushion fort in the back. Our server, Jessica, was awesome. Tatted up and easily able to joke along she added my required touch of great customer service. Checking in on us just enough to make sure we were happy but not so much that our endless banter about the lives of our high school friends was interrupted. My friend had... some... thing... that... she ate. I can honestly say I have no idea what it was but I can say she enjoyed it. I really didn't care what she was eating because I had my own delicious food sitting in front of me and it was go time, son! I started off with four monstrous meatballs. While these weren't the Monstro of the meatball world they were quite large and every square inch was amazingly yum. I offered to share initially (I don't like sharing) and then changed my mind (I really don't like sharing). I did my best imitation of the "show me how the piggies eat" scene from A Christmas Story. I also had their mac n' cheese. It had Italian sausage and prosciutto in it. Let me also explain that I love mac n' cheese. I would sell my sister to aliens for a joygasm inducing bowl of mac n' cheese. I also despise bad mac 'n cheese so I asked Jessica if this was going to be life altering or life ending. With a laugh she said it was amazing and I was on my way to ordering some cheesy treats. My only complaint in regards to the mac n' cheese is that the cheesy sauce was a little too viscous for my tastes... by adding a bit of pepper and some shredded Parmesan I was able to correct this and I went all demolition derby on that entree. DESTROYED! With a quick glance at their website I also noticed that they host karaoke Sat-Mon. I don't know if you know this or not but I love karaoke. So you can be sure I'll be back here to try their pizza and get my sing on. Oh, did I mention that a single slice of their pizza (available by the slice or pie) is 14" long? And that's a real 14" not some made up new fangled math 14". I'm finding myself wishing more of my soccer games are played in this area so I have more excuses to come back. I'm a huge fan!

Now that we're regulars at Trivia and at dine frequently, the service has definitely improved - when they have enough staff.

Friendly staff, open late. We were searching for a late night dive and stumbled upon talaricos. They serve mouth watering, crispy pizza by the slice. It was hard to stop eating. Its a must go for all pizza lovers. Great hang out. Check out their late night happy hour specials.

My family and I were desperate to find an open restaurant on Christmas Eve. We drove past and saw the open sign, so we decided to stop in and try Talarico's. Props to them for being open on Christmas Eve! Once we were seated, I quickly scanned the place - the dark decor made me feel like someone might chain me up and beat me with a whip. Everything is black and it is quite possible that a dominatrix may serve you your pizza. They were playing a movie on all of their big screens and the sound system was overwhelming. Feeling like you are in a movie theater may be fun for trivia night, but not so nice trying to scream while you have a family dinner. When I opened the menu and saw the price of a pizza, I almost had a stroke. I realize that the pizza is large, but $56 for a pizza? Really?! I could go to a gourmet restaurant for that much money. I also think that selling pizza by the slice in a place this large seems like a strange business move...isn't it faster and more profitable to make whole pizzas? We all decided on slices, which are an okay price. I noticed that the happy hour prices are only $4 for a slice, so I wouldn't mind coming back for that. The pizza itself is pretty good. I have said before that pizza is one of those foods that is definitely based on personal preference. I prefer New York style pizza or Neapolitan style, so Talarico's floppy style pizza was something that I found pretty good. I did think that the crust had a bit of a strange texture and something on my slice was super sweet. Overall, I would say it was pretty average. The service was okay. I thank the servers for working on Christmas Eve, but I have to admit it was a little slow. It took forever to bring us three slices of pizza, presumably because they have to make all these stupid, individual pieces of pizza. Our waitress never really came back to check on us and nobody ever came to fill my water until we flagged them down. If you are going to feed me that big of a piece of pizza, please don't leave me without something to drink!

One of my favorite casual places to meet up with friends in West Seattle. Great neighborhood location in the Junction, sometimes a line to get in but I recommend Happy Hour. Great prices, great food, friendly service (they remember what you like)...just a fun place. Pizza slices are huge so beware. Good pizza, salads, appetizers at HH. Wine is $5, pizza is $4. The regular menu has a lot of other options but we always end up ordering pizza slices and salad, so many to choose from.

I have lived in West Seattle for the past 7 years and only now have I discovered this amazing pizza joint. A friend brought me here and I just fell in love with this place. I don't say that a lot. The drinks are stiff and delicious, the pizza is amazing. Also a plus is the staff. They were nice, helpful and most definitely awesome! A must order is the caprese so delicious...

Drinks? Yes. Food? Yes. Service? Yes. All yes. We go on Karaoke night and get the late night Happy Hour, save $2 on a slice. I always get the margherita pizza and a carafe of sangria. I mean just all of it, yes.

Talarico's continues to surprise me. It's the type of trendy/cool Italian/pizza joint you walk into expecting them to lean on the vibe, and serve average/bland food that costs too much. Not the case. The pizza slices are HUGE, and all I've tried are fantastic. (Get anything with the 'drunken onions', they're phenomenal). The meat ball appetizers (and the meatball sliders) are delicious, as are a few other apps I've tried over the 4-5 visits in the past four months. My wife and I got the meatball sliders as an app, two huge slices of pizza, and a drink each, and the bill was $40. Very, very reasonable. It's a big place and I've never had a problem getting a table, even during peak hours. The service is friendly and quick, without being intrusive. I LOVE the vibe; it's a darker, open restaurant that oozes "cool factor". I really, really like Talarico's. Definitely give it a shot.

My favorite place to go in Seattle to sing karaoke. They have the best system there and I never feel intimidated to get up there and sing! I used to work in West Seattle so this was my go-to spot. It didn't take long for people to start recognizing me and becoming super friendly, making it hard not to go back! Along with great service and guests, there was a remarkable happy hour menu there that my friends and I would take full advantage of. Very tasty thin pizzas that are reasonably portioned at an outstandingly good price. After going there multiple times and giving well-deserved great tips, I occasionally got a free drink when I pulled up my tab! That was just icing on the cake. I also loved how the bartenders didn't have a grudge towards people singing karaoke every night. I know that can get pretty irritating but they managed to have alot of fun with it every time - even getting up on stage themselves and singing! Since I moved and acquired a different job, I hardly make it there anymore but I sure do miss that place and will have to make it a point to stop by and visit after this review!

So awesome!! They have Trivia night here on Wednesdays and they bring some happy hour food out when it starts. So you can get cheap beer and pizza when you're playing here. I dig that but what I don't like is that you have to pay $3 to play trivia. I get that this is awesome for folks with huge groups but I am usually by myself or with a small group so spending $9 to not win anything is kind of a bum deal. At least in my opinion. If I was with a huge group of intellectuals I would probably be singing a different tune.

I love going here the ambiance is darkened with light fixtures to even out the atmosphere. Huge booths to fit about 6 people, a lounge area, tables, and bar. Happy hour here is amazing with their 14 inch slice of pizza for $4 ! ya HUGE pizza ! im not kidding.

Ughhh. I have to start off with a complaint because I HATE when I cant hear what people right next to me are saying!! Talaricos is awesome, but it's WAY too loud for me. read: "HI CAITLIN, HOW IS SCHOOL?..... HOW IS SCHOOL GOING?.... I SAID HIIIIIII" It literally kills a little bit of me every time I come here. That being said, the pizza slices are huge and delicious and they have beer I like on tap (albeit not a wide variety). I really like the porto-bella as a veggie option (portobello mushrooms, arugula, cheese!!). Maybe I've accidentally only come here on game days, but there are always one hundred fired up dudes here bro-ing down very loudly. I'll come back if I am in the mood for a raucous time, but generally I'm too much of a fuddy duddy to frequent Talaricos.

Ended up here as a last minute dinner idea on my birthday. I'll put it this way, two custom 14 inch pizza's, 2 shots of Jameson 18 year, 1 hefeweizen, one apple/cherry cobbler, one tropical drink with an umbrella and in a Malibu Rum BUCKET, cost $30. Yeah, it came in a damn bucket. Awesomes. The ambience of this place was great, low lit and comfortable. Our server (she had a Jamaican or Dominican accent) was simply fantastic. I would come back here again. I was a little weirded out at ordering a 14 inch SLICE of pizza at first. Only at first. My fears were unjustified. Nom. Nom.

Compliments to the chef! My mother & I were looking for some very basic but tasty spaghetti & pizza. We started north & this was the 4th menu we looked at. We split the spaghetti & she brought the pizza home to have later. Both were excellent!! Service was friendly & efficient as well. Highly recommend!

So I stumbled upon this place tonight while on a date.... It was a first date...and I am familiar with California but new to the area...so we ended up in here... My oh my, did they surprise us! The food was devine and reasonably priced. They subbed spaghetti squash for the pasta so I could still have spaghetti and meatballs.... Service was excellent. I can't wait to come back!

I'm a pizza snob- if you've read my prior posts on pizza joints, you'll notice that I am pretty particular...hmm that's a lot of Ps. ANYHOO...Pizza: so simple, yet, hard to get right. That said- Talarico's has really big slices of average pizza: a sweeter sauce, a nicely crisped crust, but somewhat lacking in flavor, and cheese that just didn't set quite right... OK- but nothing to write home about. If you're just looking to fill your belly, then this is the place. The staff is really friendly and the bar is very comfy and cozy. I like the low lights, plush leather and bare floors- feels like a place you might meet the Don to discuss favors and offers you can't refuse. panko

Came up to Seattle from Vallejo, stopped by this place for karaoke. The pizza slice we ordered was huge. For $4, it was a great value. The drinks were on point. Also Shoutout to the DJ for the Karaoke night. I forgot his name, but he treated me and my friends really well and was very friendly.

Oh, Talarico's... how I love thee. Let me count the ways: - The pizza slices are ginormous, all 14"! The whole pies are the size of Rhode Island, for reals! We are fans of the Sinatra & the Oglio D'Avio. FYI, if you're going to get the Coppola, it's jam packed with garlic, so share it with your S.O. or you won't be making out with anyone! Ha! Oh, and, you can get these hand-tossed pies made gluten-free! - The space is HUGE! This pizzeria & lounge is dimly lit with over-sized booths, big tabletops, and an awesome wrap around bar. - The random dragons and decor from the old Chinese restaurant that occupied the space previously is odd, but cool looking. And the huge chandeliers are beautiful! - Happy Hour rocks! 3-6pm & 11pm-1am, daily - $4 for signature pizza slices, $3.50 for draft beer, $4 wells. woot woot! - They have a full bar - ask about the bacon infused vodka, made in-house! Yum! And, they have awesome beers on tap. I especially like the Elliott Bay Brewery rotating tap; this month is a delish pumpkin ale. - The bartenders and staff are fun, fast, and fabulous. Jordan is our favorite - visit him on Sunday and Monday nights when he's tending bar! - and the brownie ice cream sandwich - OH.MY.GAWD! YUM! With their big slices, make sure you leave room for dessert! - There's never a dull moment. tv's for the sports fan, karaoke, trivia on Wednesdays, live music and dj's... and best part - there's NEVER a cover! We aren't in the Junction very often, but when we are, Talarico's is our spot! Good food & drinks, awesome peeps, and fun times - what's not to love!?!

I'm writing about trivia night. They have $2.50 Mac & Jacks and ~$7 giant slices of really quite good pizza. Several choices of toppings too. The trivia is $2 per person and they have some prizes at the end, even some for the low scoring teams! They mix it up, some paper q&a, some picture identification, it keeps it interesting. I always have a great time here. And you can actually here the questions being read.

Do you like vodka or any hard-a drink, well then this is not the spot for you! My wife had her birthday party here last Friday night. We made a reservation and brought in 12 guests. My wife and I began to order Moscow Mules, asking for Sky vodka just to insure we didn't get the well poison. At no point in the evening did the waitress mention the cost of what we were drinking and when we asked for double talls she said no problem. As the night wrapped up the bill came showing 10 beverages, we only had 7 but figured some of our party goers may have left with a drink or two on our tab which was fine. What was not fine was the fact that we were charged $19 per drink (double), and the bill read that we were drinking Grey Goose, not Sky. I asked the waitress to explain and she told me everything above well is $9+ and they just use the Grey Goose button. When I explained how absurd this was and asked for a manager she said I could talk to the bar tender. I approached the bar and the guy was a straight up jerk bout it. He said that they charged me this for my "premium mixer" which was counter to what the waitress had told me. I mentioned that if I had known I would have just got Grey Goose, and his response was "well you should have". Amazingly poor customer service, gauging prices, and zero warning. For $19 I could have bought a 5th of Sky and made my own, so if you like hard-a drinks and don't want the house swil I highly recommend you either bring your Amex Black card or visit some of the other fine bars that The Junction has to offer. I know for a fact that Shadowlands just down the street charges $10 for the exact same drink. Won't be going back here ever again!

Interesting place. The night I went, it was loud and raucous. My friend ordered a drink that involved her simulating... um... "going downtown" on the bartender -- you'd have to see it to believe it. The pizza is great. Go there, but only if you're ready for a loud atmosphere.

this place has huge pizza slices that taste pretty good, they have rum buckets that are awesome, but the best thing? the karaoke nights! there is nothing more fun than watching drunk people falling off bar stools and thinking they can sing, once in a while there is the one that really can sing, but otherwise we were laughing so hard all night!!

Love! This place has great food. Delicious Pizza. Great Service. The bartenders are great and quick to take care of you. The venue has changed a lot recently and some of the changes are not great but I still go back every week. They have delicious bloody mary's. And great beer selection. The pizza slices are huge. If you are ever in west seattle, visiting talricos is a must.

I went here on Halloween. I don't know if it was because I had been drinking for a while, but I found my slice of pizza to be pretty awful. I had recently been to Ricco's in Belltown and this pizza is nothing like that. I have no desire to go to Talarico's again.

  • Cheryl R.

First of all, Talrico's finally opened it up for the under 21 crowd (which for ME means I can bring my 3 year old in for dinner with me - YAY!)... This is a great bar with great food, with the bar being center stage in the middle of the space (my favorite layout - one that highlights the booze & the booze mixologists). The servers are friendly & check in on your table frequently. Water and other sundry items were kept filled by the bus staff. These people know how to take care of their patrons, unlike some other West Seattle eateries. Pizza comes in 24" size, enough to feed Octomom's brood, or in single slices which are HUGE and more than enough for one person. It's NY style, thin dry crust, tasty marinara, salty cheese, quality meats and veggies. Their Caesar Salad is truly a beautiful thing - order the 1/2 size though b/c the full size is really too big for one person unless it's all you plan to eat. Drinks are fresh, hand-shaken & truly something to savor. I can't remember the last time I had a bartender take such care in making an "adult beverage". Really? I'd go back just for the Pomegranate vodka martini. Y-um! They even make a great margarita, an art that is sorely lacking in Seattle IMO. Anyway, I've digressed. Cal Ave is always a fun destination, but I was getting tired of the few places that were "kid friendly" that also served booze ... So, I'm very glad there is another place to frequent, that also has a HUGE dose of "Cool". Definitely do their happy hour, pizza slices are under $3, drinks are less than $5. What a great bargain for families.

I have been to Talarico's many-a-time and like it for what it is. It's not my favorite pizza place but the pizza is good and a slice is the size of your head. HUGE. Happy hour is great with cheap cheap slices and their trivia night is a lot of fun with prizes. I prefer the less busy times because on a Friday or Saturday night it attracts kind of an annoying crowd.

    (3)
  • Olivia S.

HUGE pizza slices. I went here with a group for trivia on a Wednesday night, really fun! 8+ share a whole pie. Highly recommended pie is the drunken Sicilian. If you get the caesar salad or any salad rather, ask for light dressing.. Meatballs and vodka pasta is also yum. Great atmosphere.. I always seem to be able to grab a seat without reservation but if you're going in a group, best to call ahead.

  • Ryan G.

The food and service are good, but the food is OVERPRICED. A big slice of pizza costs an arm and a leg. Toppings are expensive - I like there pizza - it's good - but its just way too much for a slice. They could use more TVs in there and from time to time they have Karoke in there - I think this place struggles between being a bar vs a restaurant - it is trying to be both and it is tough to do that in my opinion. There are some real shitty Karaoke singers there as well.

  • Monica N.

Pizza slices here are 2x the size of an average human head. They are CRAZY big. My boyfriend and I got the South Street and the Sinatra. They were both equally good. The meatballs here are great as well along with the perfectly seasoned garlic bread. Come here for happy hour! Oh and the atmosphere is great, its dim inside with a candle on the table and a fireplace near the bar. Very romantic.

A friend and I happened upon this place just during the middle of Happy Hour on a weekday. The interior is very dark with dark woods and minimal lighting so it also led us to think it was closed. The happy hour menu was an extensive list that had good offerings, a plus because it was actually food you want to eat instead of usual Happy Hour menus that are just the standard deep-fried items. I got the meatball sliders (3 an order) and the spring salad while my friend got the Oglio d'avio and artichoke dip. All the portions were very generous and the food was excellent. My sliders were more than filling (an I came hungry!) and we even ended up with leftovers. The prices were great too. It's a good deal for great food. Would definitely recommend!

UPDATE 8/24/12 Entire family went back last night and it was 100% unlike our first visit, thankfully! I actually stopped in here over the weekend for a quick bite as well and everyone was so friendly and made a special point to say, "hello", "be right with you", etc. The food came quickly, everything was delicious and our drinks were filled to our satisfaction. Kudos to the GM for stepping right up and getting the kids' orders put in, as the adults weren't ready to order just yet. Everything was great. We'll definitely be back.

The friends we're staying with in West Seattle had been planning to check out this place, which is just a few blocks from their home, since moving here more than five years ago, so when I suggested we eat there, they were game. I like the space: it has a huge bar in the middle, surrounded by a few tables, and then a lot of very high-backed booths--they feel very private. The friends who were drinking liked the speciality drinks they tried. I had a salad with dried cherries and blue cheese that was sheer delight. I followed that with the chicken parmesan, which also was great. I had a side of broccolini, which isn't difficult to prepare, but it was cooked perfectly. In other words, every part of my meal was good. My partner had the vodka pasta, and a friend had the Little Italy mac and cheese. Both were good enough that they finished their ample plates. My partner has spent time in Italy and is kind of picky, so that speaks well of their pasta. Another friend had a flatbread that he liked. The staff was attentive. They were also unusually attractive, like you'd expect at a restaurant in Los Angeles.

I have been living in West Seattle for a little over 6 months and Talaricos has become a regular place I go to. You can not beat the pizza or the price anywhere. The slices are gigantic...and at happy hour they are only $4!! They have other italian options such as pastas, chicken and salads as well. They are all very good. The servers are all friendly for the most part and the bartenders are great. They are busier than ever but never leave you waiting too long. There are also multiple screens around the restaurant so you are sure to be able to watch whatever game you are wanting.

I really enjoy the pizza here. They have a 28 inch pizza which is pretty damn big. I would have to say it's probably the biggest pizza in Seattle, but I could be wrong. It was a lot easier for me to come here when I lived in Alki, but not anymore since I live in Shoreline now. It is a must to come with friends if you plan on ordering the 28 inch pizza. You defiantly don't want to get stuck paying the $46.99 for a signature pie or $54.99 for a specialty pie. I remember ordering the Sinatra Signature Pie which had CasCioppo Brothers spicy sausage, pepperoncinis, black olives, mozzarella and marinara. The pizza was excellent and had great flavor and tons of delicious toppings. I remember when the pizza came out, they had to set it on a different table it was so big. My jaw dropped I was in such shock in how monstrous this pie was. It was pretty EPIC!!!! The only other place I have seen a pizza that big was in New York. As far as the restaurant, was very nice and had a great vibe to it. There is bar in the middle with bar stools surrounding it, then the booths and tables. The service was excellent and the waiter we had was pretty funny and really friendly. He knew the food inside and out which is a rarity in some places. So the fact that he had knowledge on the food was a serious plus. I noticed that in the corner they had a stage set up to do karaoke and have live music. I believe I remember the waiter saying they have the karaoke and live music after 9 pm, but I am not sure what days. I would love to bring my wife here to enjoy some pizza and live music.

Wife and I went in for happy hour. The service was excellent. Very friendly and attentive server. I wish I would have remembered her name but, all of them were very nice. Pleasant neighborhood vibe. Eclectic decor. The happy hour pizza slice is huge. It's about half of a large pizza. Awesome pizza. Not some soggy, heat-lamped slice. It was fresh. A few beers and a BIG slice of pizza for a few bucks. I will be back!!!

  • George C.

The slices are HUGE and they offer a good variety of different toppings. The taste of the pizza is nothing special. It's better than most but nothing that will blow you away. All slices are prepared to order. I think the polenta cakes are the best thing I've ordered from Talarico's so far. They do a good job with the caesar salad and overall I think the food is decent. I really like the layout of Talarico's. High ceilings, dim lighting, lot's of wood. The service is always solid and they make some pretty good drinks. I recently ordered the sangria and it was good. It gets all clubbed out on the weekends, look out! This is a good place to grab a slice and drink. The dining area and bar is pretty big so they always have plenty of seating. Give them a try during happy hour!

Talarico's is one of the go to spots in West Seattle. If you're in the Junction between 3-6 you must stop in, have a slice and thank me later. It's really one of the best Happy Hour values going. $4 for delicious pizza slices the size of your head, $3 pints of beer and $4 house wine or wells? What more do you want?!? There are two big screen TVs above the bar and a big screen in the back that's used on occasion. It's defiantly a good place to catch a game but this isn't really a sports bar by any means. It's got a dark, lounge feel about it complete a fire place with seating around it. I love sitting here on a cold winter night. Kids are allowed in now for the stroller crowd but fear not bitter singles! The bar area is big enough that if rug rats aren't your thing, you won't feel like you're in a Chuck E. Cheese, unlike next door. I'd like to say I've tried some of the entrées but I haven't. The pizza slices and happy hour deals are SO GOOD I always order off of those. Check out the fresh sheet too. There's always a variety of pizza on it to go with the usual line up.

  • Jake M.

Talarico's has decent food and super gigantic slices of pizza. The pizza itself is nothing special, the crust is completely bland and their toppings extend the nothing special that the crust and sauce started with. I'll go with my friends, and their happy hour slice prices are pretty great, but the environment is often so loud that you have to shout to be heard at your own table. Parking in this area is also pretty rough these days. Overall, there are a couple of good things on the menu, but nothing that would draw me back without someone else wanting to go.

  • Bobby N.

Huge decent pizza slice for a modest price. Kids welcome in an environment with beer and crayons. Interesting combo. The decor is a cross btwn a bar and a fine restaurant. The noise level is loud and the lightening is dark. Not quite the place for kids, but perhaps a place like iHOP where you hope not to see again.

Delicious huge pizza by the slice, made to order. Nice thin crust like pizza is supposed to have (pan pizza and thick crusts are of the devil). Good ingredients, acceptable beer selection and good cocktails (Junction Juice for a sweet summer drink that sneaks up on you). Good social atmosphere, not a place to go for a quiet, intimate evening. My go-to place to go out for pizza

I love this place. So many great times at happy hour with my amazing co-workers. You can not beat the size and price of their slice of pizza. WOW! Will definitely fill you up! Great drinks as well and reasonably priced. One of my favorite hang outs.

  • Alissia C.

Some of the best pizza in Seattle!! Really large slices (New York style), with authentic Italian toppings such as arugula, goat cheese, and artichokes. I also love their meatballs and chicken chopped salad. Yum. We've been to Talarico's for trivia as well. Challenging questions, but my entire party found it to be very entertaining. Happy hour is a great deal if you are in the mood for a slice w/draft beer or house wine. The also serve hard liquor, yay. The decor is nice, classy and elegant bar feel without being fancy upscale. Comfortably nice. It's a great place to watch the game too, the TV screens are huge. Overall it's a happy place with great food and libations.

Fabulous happy hour deal (delicious red wine); great spaces where you feel you're in your own area and yet not completely alone. Great pizza (including gluten free options!) and friendly waiters. Could use some more televisions for sports, but overall a great spot.

  • Danielle H.

In my opinion this is the best pizza in Seattle... great crust, delicious cheese (just the right amount, not too much...I'm looking at you Sorelli pizza in Mountlake Terrace). I love that the individual slices are HUGE (14"), the WHOLE pizza is 28" in diameter and HUGE. My two favorites are the Kauai (Prosciutto and pineapple) and the Coppola (goat cheese, garlic, and roasted red peppers). The mozzarella cheese bread is also fantastic. Definitely worth the trip to West Seattle for a great pizza.

  • Kerrie L.

Amazing salads, pizza and ambience. Love the big booths and dim lighting. Staff was super friendly. Anytime we go out for pizza someone is compromising on their toppings. Not here, you get your own slice with your own creation. Damn good!

I don't know. It's tasty and satisfying, pretty good gigantic pizza. The no kids after 9 pm policy doesn't work for us. So that's where Talerico's leaves our money on the table.

Big slices. Close to the size of Lorenzo Bros on South Street (though lacking that east coast magic). Pretty good by Seattle standards. I do wish they would have cooked the toppings, though; instead they have that feeling of an afterthought. A great deal of attention to ingredients, and client dietary considerations, but nothing special in the development of the crust. A few local brews do make for an additional nice touch. Overall, pleasant and better than many other pizza gigs in Seattle, but not amongst the best, either.

Was really good. Pizza slices were Obviously huge, but also very good quality. The godfather slice was good. The bruschetta appetizer was iffy and smaller. Not enough for 4 people. Best thing about this place is that it is really good value. The slices are only 5 to 7 bucks. Atmosphere was also very good. Bar style. Only bad thing was that the good beers were 5 bucks which is a little more than it should be. I would recommend this place for sure.

This kind of reminded me of 'if you can't make it good, make it big.' It is huge pizza, loads of cheese on top of soggy french bread. If you're half drunk and need a lot of food for a good price this is a good spot. If you want good pizza I'd recommend finding some place else. Happy hour seems like a good deal though, I'd go back for that.

oh, how i love it here. I just wish I was closer to west seattle to go more often. I usually end up getting the sinatra every time and I'm never saddened. I've been many times before but have just now gotten around to reviewing it. We went last Friday during the west seattle street fair (didn't know that was going on) and i was worried we'd have to wait FOREVER for a table. Not true! we were seatetd right away. The server was funny and effiecent. I love the decor and the atmosphere :)

At Talarico's, my love and I had an amazing meal of pizza and beer on a tab of less than $20 dollars. It was filling and it was delicious! We tried three of their generous 14" pizza slices. They were as follows: 1.) TALARICO'S ORIGINAL- mozzarella cheese with Talarico's house marinara. - The originial and south street were my favorites of the three we tried but the original gets top vote from me because I'm a cheese pizza lover and this one was delicious! If you love cheese pizza, I don't know how you can dislike this one. 2.) SOUTH STREET- italian sausage, spicy sausage, mozzarella and marinara. - South street was also magnificient. So much meat and very flavorful. 3.) COPPOLA- goat cheese, garlic, arugula, mozzarella and marinara. - The coppola was recommended by the Seattle Metropolitan and so I wouldn't have otherwise chosen this one. It was really good and it provided something different that the cheese pizza and meat pizza didn't; a tasty vegetarian option with more flavor than just cheese and marinara. The garlic and red peppers make it delicious. Although it was different and I enjoyed it with the other three, I wouldn't order it as my only slice. I liked the dark space and tall-backed, private booths. It's also on an excellent West Seattle street with more shops, a bakery, and coffee shops to peruse.

In our continued quest to try all the spots in the 'hood we tried Talarico's last night. We got there, towards the end of the Seahawks game, sat easily in gone bar and our waitress was right over, took our drink order and all seemed well. Drinks delivered and order taken. Again all seemed great. Right on track our food was delivered - man ordered pasta and I the Chop Chop. Here is where the evening took a turn. I look around my chop for the um chop. Seriously there were 6 garbanzo beans, a smidgen of olives, 6 maybe 1/4 inch chunks of chicken (maybe maybe 1/8 of a breast) 6 smidges of cheese, 3 tomatoes and an equal amount of peppers and tons of lettuce. It did have a decent amount of bacon which i had requested. Um okay but wow. It was the saddest chop I have ever seen. I wasn't going to say anything but the guy being a guy says something. The waitress asks "so you want more chicken, olives and garbanzos?" She comes back 5 minutes later with a side (ramekin - maybe 2 tablespoons) of marinara like I asked for with 2 tablespoons of olives, chicken and cheese - no beans. We eat. The guy finishes and while I'm still eating my salad - asks if we want dessert? And then drops the check. The salad was actually $1 more than the $12.99 listed, I'm assuming the bacon sub and the tiny marinara was $.75. Overall food was disappointing, service lackluster. Doubtful we will be back.

We come to Talarico's every Wednesday for trivia. At first the service was great and some waiters exceptional (Lindsay) but recently its been in decline. A comedy of errors that is quickly losing our business. I order a similar drink every week, but recently I have had to return whatever was brought to me. Not even the wrong drink- just awful mix of bottom shelf alcohol. I never return food and drink and their food is normally really good. However, I have also had to return a cold, limp dish and told the waitress they did not need to go to the trouble of making me another. The apparent manager on duty was kind enough to remake the dish, only to charge me for it! It took forever to correct. I always call ahead for a table. A few weeks ago they didn't have a record of my reservation- even after I repeated every detail twice to the girl on the phone four hours earlier. We have had a few waiters recently who are amazing and attentive but when the bill arrives, so does the frustration. Our table size varies and we don't mind auto gratuity but what drives us nuts is the fact that table is the single bill. 12 people- one bill. "Its policy." Being recent college grads- the majority of our table work/worked as waiters and knows the system the staff work on. Its not hard to break up the check. Half the items are charged to the wrong person. And lord help you if you have a Talarico's certificate. They cant just give the discount to everyone but instead it has to be one bill. Again-really simple on micros so we no longer bother. Now my new favorite: the bill now comes- thankfully separately but on one check. Is it too much to ask to have your own bill? So now the waitress, who had tended to us for three hours has to match credit card and cash to balance the bill. One bill- three piles of cash and five credit cards. To make it easier on her, we took the time to write down each person's last name and last 4 of the credit card. There was a general feeling that we will not be ordering any food and we may bow out of our Wednesday ritual. Its sad but not worth the aggravation.

Fun spot for a family date night with our 5 year old son. The pizza slice was only $5 and it was bigger than his head. We had 2 salads to start and they were great. The huz had the tasty mac n cheese and I had a Oglio d' Avio slice. It was AMAZING. Not too hard on the pocketbook either. $40 before tip for the 3 of us. The staff of which no less than 4 people attended to us from start to finish, were all very nice and made it a pleasant experience.

Let me just start by saying our family is from Long Island. While the women were out shopping for Christmas, I brought my Dad (82), my 3 brothers and 2 of my giant nephews to dinner. Two 4-meatball and one garlic bread appetizers, a few salads and 1 pie fed us all...with a slice leftover to take home for the girls to split. I made a reservation for 7pm (holiday weekend before Christmas) and I am pleased to say we were seated immediately. With a table full of men, it was great to see the game on multiple TV's that were well placed throughout the restaurant. Excellent service from a professional staff made the experience one that will definately be repeated...and next time we'd better bring the women, my niece and my other giant nephew (they were all extremely jealous of our boys night out, hehehe). An excellent place to bring the family for some pizza, drinks and a great time. I thought I'd mention no minors allowed after 9pm so, get there early if ya gonna bring da youngsters.

Strolling "downtown" West Seattle's main ave we came across this delightful pizzera. Happy Hour caught our eye. The smells & dark decor hooked us. HH Menu: Beers were $3 wells/wine $4 mammoth slices were $4 Starter/sides were $5. Food was delicious. Really. Had sliders, a version of hawaain pizza, and something with delicious red peppers. And beers were much needed after hours at Colman. Full priced pizzas look a little pricey at $36. I am sure they are worth it, but ouch. The bloody mary bar & lunch options look too good to be true. I def want to check that out. BEWARE: pretty hot place in a heat wave. Some serious ass sticking to the seat

Want a pizza slice as big as your face? Well then, here's the place to go. They serve huge pizza slices with a variety _____ to choose from. A big pizza ($36.95) is 28" diameter which will feed 8 average people with one slice each. You can also choose to have a single slice (5ish dollars) if that tickles your fancy better. This is a great place for groups (gratuity is indeed included) and around 10 pm there are activities for every day of the week (we went on karaoke night). And that night was $2.50 jello shots (151, mind you). What a great way to enjoy pizza and bad/good singing. Happy hour seems promising here since the prices of the individual pizza slices are only $4. The pizza is not your average pizza hut thick crust, though. Its crust is fairly thin but the balance of the ingredients works for this kind of italian pie. Edit: Had the meatballs here- amazeballs!

Talarico's does apps and pizza right (though the slices are as-big-as-your-head huge). I mean there were two guys this past weekend who each had their own pie and couldn't finish the thing. The drinks are always great (check out the specials board above the bar). There are often kids parties on the weekends, and it's a great place for families. We went for dinner last night and I tried something different - turkey meatloaf. It was a bit of a miss. The meatloaf tasted like a turkey mousse (and no A-1 = a big boo in my book), however the mashed potatoes and succotash (I asked for mine without tomatoes and they happily obliged) were both excellent.

There are so many pizza places in west seattle, and I have to be honest I was expecting a lot from this restaurant. The portions are huge but that is where it ends. Be prepared to wait for service or listen to loud trivia and sometimes both! The drinks are pricey and the staff are usually occupied or busy. Favorite part of this restaurant was the music! love 90's throwbacks. And that they give people with ActsWest production tickets a 15%off discount! Will try happyhour in the future, maybe the discount will excuse the wait/staff.

Nice huge slices of pizza. The crust is nice and thin and they have a nice variety of toppings. You can get the standards like cheese or pepperoni or try the oglio d avio (my favorite!) with arugula and goat cheese. The spaghetti and eggplant Parmesan options are also good if you're not in the mood for pizza.

Giant slab of pizza as big as a baby? Check Full pizza as big as a a kiddie wading pool? Check Lovely caprese salad w/ fresh moz & ripe roma tomatoes? Check Extra spicy bloody mary? Check Somewhat annoying doucheknuckles at the restaurant high five'ing each other and you? Check Slow ass service? Check That was my only real complaint - the slow service. I understand being slammed and all, but I happen to LIKE having water throughout my meal. I'm just sayin.

#pizza Tala rico's.... When heard that I was goin here for a surprise party, i instantly thought...hmm Mexican... apparently I was in for the SURPRISE.. I can always eat good pizza, so this was a treat. This thin pan pizza is on point.. I am a fan. You can order by the mega slice. One slice is sufficient though super appetites can get more. The slices i get are the Sinatra w/ proscuitto, La Fumato, and the Kaui. Crackin. The steak is mediorcre. Very social setting and fosters a good time with frieds. TVs verywhere to acoomodate the sports. Overall this pizza is a Seattle top ten but not top 5.

High quality ingredients. Huge slices (the biggest I've ever had). Excellent atmosphere (unless you're looking for natural light). Good drink menu. Reasonable prices. I had a slice of the chicken pesto pizza. Perfectly seasoned. The kids enjoyed it, too. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

Let me say first that I would be a lot more stoked about this place if I lived close by. It would really start to grow on me if I got to know my servers and bartenders a little bit and struck up some rapport with them. There's nothing really wrong with this place, so my middling rating mostly applies to how excited I might be to drive half an hour to get to it--no objections, but not running for my keys, either. The place is pretty huge, and the physical setting is a lot of what makes it cool. It's just a huge room, in a cool, dense, urban-feeling block of businesses. Big showy bar in the middle of everything, with the dining room blocked up into cool rows of booths and semi-secluded sections by all the carpentry everywhere--between the booth backs and section dividers, this place feels as much like a cool maze as it does a restaurant. It's low-key, and nothing that would impress a professional finish carpenter, but in its easy-going way, it sets a very cool vibe. You can treat it as a hangout bar, a sports bar (with the flat screens), or a place to get something to eat. The service here is really good. Lots of young and energetic people, very attentive, well-informed about what's on offer, and they're all attuned to offering solid service. The food is fine. Tasty bruschetta, decent salad, a couple nice slices of pizza. That's all we ordered; it worked well enough. Nothing too crazy happening with the bar, but everything looked clean and well cared-for, and the beer came out of clean lines. Clean lines aren't always the given that they should be, so IMO bars deserve points for keeping their lines clean, even though some might argue they're just doing their jobs by cleaning them. Overall, I am sure I'll be back. The value is fair trade.

someone needs to put stop to the salty-mess that is talarico. Yes, the pizza is huge, but we all know that size does not matter. Especially when it comes to food. I had the polenta (salty) with the meat sauce (salty) and a bite of the pizza (salty and dry.) Seriously, why would anyone go here except to take pictures of the pizza? I must admit that the ambiance is pretty cool (the bar layout was actually really smartly designed). I would probably come here to drink rather than eat. I'm still thirsty from all that salt. yuck.

I love this place. Giant slices of delicious pizza, a fireplace, ample seating, tasty sounding cocktails, friendly service, and good beers on tap. The pizza is really really good. The slices are thin & foldable, have the perfect amount of goey cheese and flavorful sauce...heaven in your mouth. The plain cheese is awesome, the margerita is even more awesome, and the oglia d'avia is the best way to get your greens. The margerita has the perfect amount of fresh basil, so every bite has a great flavor (you can actuall smell the basil with each bite), and little dots of mozzarella on top of the regular cheese. The oglio may look intimidating at first because of all the arugala piled on top, but just fold the slice & let the heat wilt the greens, and get ready for deliciousness. There were other cool vegetarian options, and I really like that you can order a slice of any speciality pizza instead of just the few ones that have already been made like at other pizza by the slice places. The salads are also giant like the pizza. The Big Greek could be split among 3 or 4 people as a starter (because you can't come to Talarico's, and not get pizza. you will regret it, i promise). I really liked the Caesar which had tons of creamy fresh dressing, parmesan cheese, amazing croutins - and I don't even like caesar salad. The artichoke dip is one of the best ones I've ever had - tons of artichoke that doesn't have a canned taste, very creamy, and full of herbs and garlic flavor.

The best pizza I've had on the west coast! Awesome place to come for happy hour and get a 14 inch slice for 4$. Usually it's pretty hard to finish an entire slice and I end up leaving with leftovers which is awesome! Drinks are pretty strong but good.

We come here most Wednesdays for trivia (8:30pm, usually $2-$3 a person) which is awesome. They have great beers and mixed drinks that are delicious, as well as ciders for those who don't want hard liquor or beer. DELICIOUS pizza, and the slices are HUMONGOUS. They also have great appetizers, hats off to the artichoke dip!

One of the few truly good pizza places in Seattle. Why is it so hard to find good pizza here? Anyway, Talarico's is good. Nice thin crust, fresh ingredients. I tried to order a vegan pizza, but they put cheese on it anyway. It's okay, I'm not religiously vegan and I do loves the cheeze! Currently they have trivia going on Wednesdays which is really packing them in. I think it's karaoke on the other off nights. Bleh! The staff is mostly attentive, mostly good-looking, mostly friendly. The atmosphere is low-light casual with a faux-fireplace at the north end of the lounge. It used to be a chinese restaurant, so if you pay attention to the walls and some of the decor, it's still from the last place. It's taking it's place in West Seattle lore with the guy that stumbled in and died after being shot outside. Go across the street and see the guy that played Hayden on Northern Exposure bartending. Does anyone remember that show?

I am torn. On one hand, this place is pretty douchey -- I've been here multiple times. I've never had a problem being served by the all-male bar staff, but my boyfriend and his other male friends have. They've been cut off before they started drinking (Talaricos was their first stop.) We're all bartenders, so when it's actually warranted that we get cut off, we're respectful of a bartender's call. But this was stupid, and completely unwarranted. Other times, the bartender didn't even notice or pay attention to them at all (not the same for the females around the bar.) I just don't get it. On the bright side, it's a cool-looking place, the karaoke is fun, and the bar selection is good. Their pizza slices are HUGE and very tasty. And when the bartenders do deign to serve you, they are knowledgeable, experienced, and speedy.

LIKES: -Large pizza slices (delicious cheese, not too greasy) -Roommate Don says that on a Thursday, with all the guys that are in there, I'm a "9". What!? I'm not a 9 any other night???? :) -Dark, spacious interior -Fast, cute servers who remember you, and buy you shots next time they're there off the clock....... -Perfect, perfect date place or "grab a drink"... you can hear each other talk, it's dark and sexy, without an extensive menu/BOOK you have to read through DISLIKES: -Strange folk hang out here on weeknights until close. If you stay past dinner, you'll know what I'm talking about. -They have a strange perfomer here on Thursday nights (I think... maybe Friday?) He's a one-man band, basically sounds like really bad kareoke. He does a mean "Forgot About Dre", but his voice is really whiny and unfortunately, really, really LOUD. Watch out for this light-haired man that Randy would call "pitchy in places".

This place is really good and might I say fairly cheap. I heard that the slices were HUGE and when I got my slice, it was HUGE! Came here for a date on New Year's Eve and glad it wasn't busy because we got a table right away. I ordered the South Street and my date the Pepperoni. They were both really good! I also love that they had a live band playing that night. It was my first time there so I wasn't sure if they have a live band every night, but I was satisfy. Was still hungry after my huge slice =P

Everyone's already said it and yes it's true, these are the biggest damn pieces of pizza you will ever encounter. One slice is more than enough. There are preordained options or you can make your own combo, which is cool. I know there are other things on the menu, but I've only ever had the pizza. I'm pretty picky about pizza since I was a pizza cook for a quarter of my life, and I quite enjoy Talarico's pizza. On my last trip I made my own, think it was jalapenos, tomatoes, and maybe chicken; way too many jalapenos but it was good. The Vegetarian and The Carnivore were also both satisfied, The Carnivore even followed up with some sort of desert which is an accomplishment given the tremendous girth of the pizza slice he consumed. Service on this occasion was a mixed message. We walked in on a Friday night and the there was a wait. It's a huge place and still the doorway was filled. So we put our names on the list and headed to the bar to have a drink while we waited for a table. And waited... and waited... and waited. Slightly before the hostess literally sat next to us and ordered food and drinks for herself and the man I presume was her boyfriend, we gave up and ordered food from the bartender. I guess she assumed we didn't want a table since we were at the bar, but she should have checked. Fortunately the bartender was awesome and made up for her oversight/negligence. One thing I kinda don't get is the decor. In spite of being a pizza joint it has a vaguely Oriental theme. I like all the dark wood though. The crowd is also a bit random. Most people were pretty casual, but there were a few girls dressed like they were in a club in Belltown. Overall this is a good pizza place, and though I can't imagine I'll be headed here regularly, I'd go here again if I'm in West Seattle.

Food and service was pretty good. It was nice and quiet on a Tuesday at 11, which was just in time for happy hour round 2. As usual for me, things got a bit awkward when I failed at ordering a drink. This is why I don't go out. My date was very cute and nice about it all, though.

Gluten free pizza!!! Yay!! Awesome happy hour! Friendly bartenders! A great place to have a party. On my last visit someone was using the back area by the stage for a huge party of like 50 people. It seemed like there was still plenty of room for people to mill around and have fun! They also have live bands here. If you're coming with a group it's a great place! The salads are okay. I would say they are overpriced for what you get and the salad dressings seem watered down and bland. Get the pizza!

Pretty decent pizza. Would be a solid 3 star place on the East coast, but I'll give it 4 for being on the West.... Nice and cozy place too. Slices are a tad salty (did they actually sprinkle salt onto a cheesy pizza? Maybe...). The slices are huge, not that that's really means anything (If I tell a pizzeria to cut my pie into 4 slices instead of 8, what does that really get me? Nothing, absolutely nothing).

My fiance and I always come here for a late night snack/meal. It's walkable distance and we love the Happy Hour prices and the food is great of course. VERY reasonable price for the quality and quantity of food. I highly recommend the Coppola slice: roasted red peppers and goat cheese. I'm no stranger to eating meat, but this is one veggie-only I don't mind AT ALL. We regularly split a whole Caesar salad (never used to be a Caesar salad person, but this makes me a believer). They put a LOT of dressing on a whole heart of romaine and I don't mind. So delicious, I'd love a bottle of that dressing for my birthday. After the Caesar, we each order a 14" slice of pizza and I always go home with left-overs. The atmosphere is dark, but fun and there's karaoke a lot with some singers who seem to take themselves seriously, and that mysterious old man who sings in falsetto... It's also a bit of a pick-up bar it seems, but fun all the same. Oh, and I've had the "Bucket 'O' Junction Juice" a couple of times and walked home pleasantly tipsy. It tastes like juice. It isn't only juice. Yum.

I have tried 3 times to like this place. One of my friends swears this is his favorite place to eat! His favorite!! The first 2 times I had one of their giant slices of pizza. I changed the ingredients each time in case that was what was turning me off. Nope, it's the whole package. I don't dig floppy, tasteless, skin flap pizza! The last time I went there, we had the greatest server. He was so friendly and attentive. I thought, ok this time it's gonna be good! We ordered their bruschetta to share and I had a dinner salad for an entree. The bruschetta was the worst I've ever had. There were 3 seperate little cups of toppings to adorn the bread with. Each one was worse than the last! The salad & the dressing were also blah. I really can't say I enjoyed a single bite of anything. Why go here when you can go to The Matador? It's just a few doors down!

As far as I can see, Talarico's is the only place in West Seattle serving truly thin-crust pizza. I adore both New York-style and Neapolitan-style thin crusts, so it's nice that Talarico's tries. The only problem is, they don't quite succeed at getting it right, at least not for me. The tomato sauce is a little too sweet, I think, and, call me crazy, but I think they might be adding sugar to their crust, too. As such, while the texture is perfect, the basic slices - cheese, pepperoni, and margarita - come across as slightly cloying. To be fair, Talarico's doesn't bill itself specifically as New York-style or Neapolitan-style pizza, but if that's what you're expecting in a thin-crust pizza, be prepared for their sweeter variant. For me, personally, "sweet" isn't the flavor profile I'm looking for with thin-crust pizza. I like a saltier, more savory harmony of floppy, yeasty, herby, cheesy goodness, with just a little bit of tomato to balance everything out. Quick tip: the Kauai, which is generously topped by pineapple and prosciutto, is ironically the best at disguising the overly-sugary base flavors, as the sugar and acid in the pineapple overwhelm that in the sauce and crust. I wholly enjoy their Caesar salad, though, and their happy hour specials on drinks, slices, and appetizers is quite excellent. I always sit at the bar, so I can't speak for the table service, but the bartenders have always been very friendly and attentive, without hovering.

Best pizza, best happy hour, and best service in Seattle. This place is great all around. If you go (and you must), and if you go during happy hour, and before you order anything else, be sure you can finish an entire slice of pizza. It's bigger than your head. No, really. And during happy hour, it's $4. It's the equivalent of 2-3 pieces of pizza anywhere else. But size is not really what matters when it comes to pizza, it's the taste. And this one is the real deal. Seriously, i was born and raised in New York, and i'm telling you, this is as close as you are going to get in Seattle. Additionally, the prices on drinks for happy hour are excellent as well. My criteria for an excellent happy hour is that they have to have good prices for food as well as beverages. Draft beers are $3 during HH, the house red wine is $5. Soooo, for me and my dining companion, that means it's $16 for a very filling dinner. The rest of their menu is excellent as well. I have never had a bad meal here. High quality food and generous portions. And if that isn't enough, their desserts are insanely good. Try the skillet cookie or the brownie sundae for a special treat. Those aren't on the HH menu... but so worth it. I absolutely love this place. And i even love the decor. Huge beautiful dark wood shiny bar is the centerpiece of the place, with black leather booths around the outside walls. The only thing i wish i could change about this place is that they do allow young children. I try to avoid sitting in that section. I don't like to get my HH on with a bunch of little kids running around, being annoyingly loud. In my opinion, they don't belong in this mostly-bar environment, and i don't understand parents who bring their children here. Thankfully, they try to always seat the families in the back section, away from the bar area, so most of the time, the kiddies can be avoided.

BEST PIZZA I'VE EVER HAD... The pizza slices for approx. $6 dollars are twice the size of my head and as long as my head and neck put together. This place is down the street from my Seattle apartment and I've never thought to come here because i thought it was just a reglar pizza joint. i fooled myself. It's a nice restaurant/lounge/bar environment and alot of pizza selections and some Italian dishes I have to try on their menu. I've also seen their Happy Hour specials, are you kidding me!!!! Thursday nights $3.50 for a slice of pizza. - Thin crust - Delicious and tasty - Affordable Can't go wrong with this spot. Check the pictures out.

I've been here a few times now and what can I say... they have HUGE tasty slices of pizza. Seriously, the pizza is huge! The wine is good and not horribly priced, good other foods, and good service. Occasionally they have a good band that stops by as well. Definitely recommended for all you west seattleites. They also have late night dessert... but not a lot of options... ok, if everything else is closed.

I've been here multiple times and always love coming back. Good food, good selection, good drinks, good service. And yes, the the bloody mary bar was awesome. Talaricos has the biggest slice of pizza in town and it is yummy! The pizzas are on thin crust, which is my preference. I usually get the Coppola, but Talaricos made some additions to its menu, including the Ciao Bella pizza. Hmm...heavenly..not only did it just sound good, it tastedso super super yummy [yes, these are technical terms :) ] that I'm coming back for more: butternut squah, ricotta, prosciuttto, escarole, mozzerella, marinara and red onions. We shared the polenta as an appetizer which was also delish. It actually had more flavor then the first time I ordered it, so I was very happy. Our server was friendly and the only downside was it seemed like it took forever for us to get our food.

Came in on MLK day 7:00 PM. Not very busy, kinda hot but stuck up waitress with absolutely no personality at all. WAY to much dressing on the dinner salad. Got the West Side: Pepperoni, mushrooms, mozzarella & marinara ($5.99). LARGE piece of greasy pizza (warm not hot). Crust was crispy and a little dry. Service was really good though but to a fault. Beer is the correct temperature (a big plus). Steely Dan playing on the house system (The good ones) Nice place but definitely not on my favorites list. Next!!!

This place is usually a reliable, cheap, tasty, and guaranteed safe zone for going out for a bite and a beer around town. Happy hour rocks balls for $4 slices, they usually have a couple delightful beers on tap, and a plethora of boozy drinks that always sound appealing. The atmosphere is usually very nice, sometimes on karaoke nights (which I feel like is every night now?) you do have to sit through hearing the drunkards sing along to horrible limp bizkit sounding / awful late 90's "rock" songs. Occasionally there is the hidden gem that will sing a classic beautifully and makes up for the other painful moments. All the servers are very nice, I especially like the guy with the longish brown hair and wide smile, he's awesome.

Oh my good lord this is the best (and biggest) pizza in all of Seattle. We stumbled across it by chance one early evening and have been back on several occasions. Fun decor. Dark and edgy with a hint of glam. One giant slice and a beer is all you need to take the edge off.

The service was excellent and it's a big friendly place. The barmaid let me sample several beers before I found the one I liked. I ordered a slice of Coppola with proscuitto. The first bite was promising, crispy crust, flavourful...but then it just got soggy in the middle. Where did the crispy crust go?

My hubby along with some friends stopped by to grab a bite to eat after checking out a small car show last week. The place is dim, but the maybe they were going for that "dark" effect. We both ordered a ceasar salad each which was nice and light. I also ordered a slice of the Coppola pizza but added Italian sausage to it while hubby ordered the West Side. After my first bite, I started to dislike the goat cheese. I usually really like goat cheese but I'm thinking this goat wandered onto some funky grass? I was just not feeling it at all anymore so I asked if I could taste my hubby's pizza. Ohhh, I liked his better. It was a simple pepperoni and mushroom pizza. I couldn't resist and I told him we were trading. Like the loving husband he is, he obliged. Happy wife makes for a happy wife. =) I would go back again and try out the other specialty pizzas. The neighborhood is so relaxed and easy-going. I love the vibe. It's surrounded by bakeries, bars, other restaurants, and cool peeps.

Super full from happy hour! We ordered a beer, sliders, and the meatballs and all of which were delicious. The sliders consisted of a huge meatballs with marinara sauce wrapped in some toasted buns with pesto and parmesan slices (3 sliders total). The meatballs themselves were huge and flavorful without being dry. It's very rare that I get full from one $5 happy hour order, but this definitely hit the spot!

Great monster slices of pizza at super reasonable prices. My husband and I each get a slice and then split an iceberg wedge that is just coated I mean coated in a tasty blue cheese dressing and bacon. Good God. My favorite slice is the Kaui - love how they use prosciutto instead of standard ham. Great service, and they've got a bloody mary bar on Sundays.

New to the area. Love this place. Atmosphere, check! Decor, check! Staff, awesome. I go here to watch the games. Great place to watch the game. Or listen to karaoke. Family friendly. $5.99 for a 14" pizza. Say no more. Idk, its just a fun place to go and hang out.

3.5 stars? Huh?!.. I don't know what reviewers malfunction is (ok, maybe they are just a little confused), but this place rocks! Their pizza is amazing, the ambiance is beautifully pleasant and about as upscale as you can probably get for a pizza place, and it is all at a good price. Previously I had given this 4 stars. Why, I am not quite sure. However, I am sure that it deserves 5 stars after last nights meal. The service is absolutely impeccable as every server helps one another out in the process of refilling, running food, and being attentive to your every need. Furthermore, they have things going on throughout the week such as trivia on Wednesdays and I think even a poker night. This would be a great first date place as the lights are dim and there is plenty just around the restaurant to converse over. Just don't order 3 pieces of pizza as you will feel like a complete pig when you see the ginormous pies you receive. :) To conclude, I am so thankful to have Talarico's in my number one neighborhood, West Seattle. Check-ch-check-check-check-ch-check it out if you are nearby! You will love it!

Late night happy hour is the best! Cheap ginourmous slices made by hand are the best way to end a night. Seriously the selection is really good and it's hilarious to watch people get whole pizzas to go... do not bring a small car! They have a decent beer selection and can mix a good drink. Avoid on a Friday or Saturday after 8pm if your looking to eat because the place turns into a club. They seem pretty family friendly in general all other times. The staff, of which seems to be a high turn over for the most part, could use an attitude adjustment. But I'm usually pretty forgiving once the pizza hits the table. My tip is to go with some friends for happy hour, order all different slices and share.

Grew up in West Seattle and love this place that use to be the New Luck Toy saved some of the Asian art aspects. Great atmosphere. Average person can't eat more than one or 1-1/2 slices of pizza (2 is doable if you don't eat the heel of the crust.) Crust and sauce I think is definitely a tad too much on the sweet side (it is NY style, but it isn't as good as Pagliacci.) Good Karaoke night (think it is Thur night?) I been to all the places in the Junction several times, and I'd put this in my top 3 places as far as overall everything good - atmosphere/people/food/value. If I lived in W Sea still this is where I'd hang out the most. Great place for groups of 4-6 as they have nice big fairly private booths that comfortable fit 6.

Walked in here with a friend to have a drink and talk for a bit. Tuesday night, and the karaoke was going full blast. Good to know I can go sing out of key in W. Seattle if I need to on a Tuesday. Big bar, and the bartender was pretty cool. Helps that he's a friend of my friend. The pizza slices were huge, though I didn't eat any of it.

Unfortunately, I live in Ballard, which is only bad, because Talarico's in West Seattle - a cross city drive for me. Lot's of TV's - great for watching games. Great, local, beer on tap - great all-around. HUGE slices of pizza - I can usually eat a lot, but I barely finished two slices here. the flavors are good, and i like the pizza dough here. Come here with friends to watch a game and order some pretty good pizza. You can't go wrong here.

  • DE S.

Best place to get a beer at the junction. The pizza here is nothing to write home about. I can't comment on the rest of the menu, because that's all I've had. I like the atmosphere here. It's spacious even when it's crowded and they have (or at least had...it's been a while) the best price on Oban scotch (I think I paid $7).

  • Elizabeth J.

I like this place, I really do. It's just not the best pizza I've ever had. They do have a lot going for them though, such as the ginormous slices of pizza they serve. I mean huge. I guess I just like more diverse toppings on my pizza (Ian's Pizza has spoiled me). Get a glass of the Washington Cabernet, it goes well with any slice on the menu! The service here is also pretty stellar. We came in with a restaurant.com certificate and our bill ended up being under the minimum amount we needed to spend, but our waitress was like "Oh, no worries, you're close enough." So nice. I also like how there is such a mixed bag with the crowd here. Families, couples on dates or anyone else shouldn't feel out of place here. For some reason, and this is not a bad thing, it seems like Count Dracula had a hand in decorating (seductive dark red tufted booths and dimmed chandeliers).

    (4)
  • Tom T.

The slices here are unbelievably HUGE, but the taste is only so-so and the crust is not much better than that of frozen pizza. Still, it's a good deal and will certainly fill your stomach. The service is always great and there's plenty to drink.

I am actually sitting and eating my Little Italy Mac N Cheese leftovers now...Yum! Talaricos is always our go-to place for new people in town or just a great local happy hour. The pizza slices are the size of NCAA penants and always delicious with heavy handed toppings. The mac n cheese is also a favorite, with great local meats atop. The service is usually great, they tend to be fast, friendly and helpful, although I have found it takes a bit to get the bill, which isn't always a bad thing. Their HH wine is about $5, beers are $3 or 4. Would definitely recommend the happy hour as well as just the regular menu, it's a large restaurant, comfortable seating, and great food. Be aware, they have trivia on Wednesdays, which is always fun but it gets crowded and people make reservations early.

If I eat the crust of the pizza, that means I really like it. And I ate every bit of crust. I ordered a slice of the West Side and it was delicious. It had just enough sauce, tasty mushrooms, and nice amount of pepperoni and shredded mozzarella. I also tried the Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich and I loved how the brownie was still nice and warm and melted the ice cream and caramel together very nicely. Came here on a Wednesday night and it was their Quizzo night. People there take their quizzo seriously! Luckily I knew people on the infamous "B Team" who ended up winning that night :)

Great ambiance with plenty of conversation pieces, friendly and efficient waitstaff, good food, good beer selection, and great prices. We poked in there because Elliot Bay was packed and we had people in town. They just happen to serve Elliot Bay beer, too. I like being able to sit near the front, which they open to the sidewalk. We each ordered a slice of pizza, which was HUGE and delicious (and only $5).

  • Fatima G.

I love the happy hour here: two gigantic slices of pizza and two drinks for under $20 with tax and tip = recipe for addiction. My husband and I have to hold ourselves back from going here every week. They have a huge stage, though I've never seen anyone use it, I imagine it'd be cool to see one of their live bands playing. My favorite slice is the Oglio D'avio - perfect amounts of arugula, garlic and goat cheese. So potent that you can taste it hours after you've eaten it - wait...I mean that in a good way.

    (4)
  • Jayme D.

I wouldn't necessarily come here for regular dinner but the happy hour makes it worth it! For $4 you get a huge slice of pizza. They have draft beers on sale also. It has a nice dark ambiance. The bartenders were pleasant. They have good portions and prices. It is a nice place to catch a game or meet up with friends. I am definitely a happy hour fan. I go here every time I pick up visitors from Seatac.

Wow! You can't get much better than the happy hour menu at Talarico's: five beers, two appetizers, three of their GIANT speciality pizza slices and a dessert = $50!!!! Not only are the prices at Talarico's recession-friendly, they don't skimp on the quality of their ingredients or portion sizes; you can't complain when your slice of pizza is as big as a Seattle Sounders pennant. And it must be a theme, but Seattle establishments do a great job of creating warm and inviting interiors; perhaps it has to do with the 300 days of rain each year, but I am really enjoying the lodge-esque ambiance Talarico's has created with it's dark wood furniture, bar, and open fireplaces. Enjoy!

  • Kjell S.

You know, they make a damned good slice of pizza. Really. They make HUGE slices to order, and they have neat names like "the sinatra". And at happy hour the slices are only 4$. I was satisfied. Crust is nice and crispy and it was good and it's also an old chinese restaurant and some guy said happy birthday and he went to the bathroom and good pizza and big space and cats eat free. And just call me the sausage king because I had sausage on my pizza and ate half of my girlfriends sausage slice.

Great atmosphere and tall, solid wood booths that make room for private conversations without whispering. I like the chandeliers and the oval bar in the center! The double sided plasma TV above the bar makes it easy to watch whichever game is on. My server was friendly and super shy about asking for our Id's. She was attentive and great at serving us with mild interruption. There was no hesitation when we asked for her recommendations to which pizza slice(s) we should try and she warned that they were about the size of our menus and we may not want for a salad after one slice each. She was on point! These slices are gigantic! I did read other reviews and saw the pic's but I wasn't a believer until I was introduced to the actual pizza! OMG. HUGE. We both tried the Coppola which is a red pepper with (goat or mozzarella) cheese. The pizza slice was so big I had to cut it in half length wise and ended up only eating half of my half. It was delicious. The crust was thin with a layer of crunch but some softness near the beginning of the toppings. Really, really cheesy! I also noticed that it wasn't greasy at all which is great as opposed to the opposite in which case I consider a deal breaker! I would come here again! During HH, I ordered three rum and cokes and a slice of pizza totaling to $17. Talarico's was sponsoring the Aids benefit that local businesses were supporting and it was great to know that a large percentage of our meal revenue was being donated. A great setting for a date, group of friends and/or a late afternoon lunch!

The wifey and I like the HH when the early games are on like the Sounders or the Hockey playoffs. One slice of pizza is waaaay more than enough! Good selection, my fav is the margherita pizza. Make your own bloody mary on sundays!

Went here to meet a date, and I don't get to West Seattle much. A fun place (just had drinks, no food) and got much busier the later it got. Service was slow though, like we had to flag them down and then they seemed bothered by serving us. They had karaoke and that was when the people watching got great. We didn't stay long after, since it got to loud to talk. Next time I would love to try the food!

Absolutely love their pizza! I'm hooked on the red peppers with goat cheese pizza. If they'd offer some applewood smoked bacon as a topping, they'd get a better rating from me (a bit corny, but it's what CPK offers and never fails to please). The atmosphere is great - the funky leftover Chinese restaurant decor mixed in a giant bar and fireplace, giant TVs showing sports games make for a unique place to eat a good slice of pizza. I've tried the chicken parmigiana before and I'd have to say that although it's pretty tasty (and a safe choice), I wouldn't come here for the pasta. The caesar salad was a bit bland, with barely any dressing (I know, it's usually the opposite problem, right?) so I had to use as much of the lemon wedge provided as possible. The pizza's where it's at!

  • DeAnne E.

The West Seattleites know this is the best place for giant slices of pizza. I went with a group of friends on a sunny afternoon. The table we were brought to accommodated our large party. I was the only odd one at the table: Everyone got pizza and I got the spaghetti and meatballs. My friends gave me crap for it but I wasn't in the mood for pizza that day. It had a nice ambiance. It had modern furniture and a nice bar set up. It's a good place to come to if want a good neighborhood pizza joint.

As I am walking through the doors I couldn't help but to think "I've been in here before", but it different. Oh wait! This used to be New Luck Toy, Dan Louie's restaurant! I would say the homemade meatball were very tasty and I love it how they spiced it up, the pizza slices were HUGE! bigger than Costco(that's shocking), and the price did not break my bankroll!

If I had to sleep on a Seattle restaurant door... Talarico's would be the obvious choice. The first thing you see when you get there is this large padded door. It looks like it belongs on a leather sofa. Oh what? You want to hear about the inside and the food? Geeze alright. It's dark inside and has a pretty awesome horseshoe shaped bar. Two of the three sides have a big flat screen TV so this is my West Seattle choice for seeing a game. The food is ok. I haven't had anything yet that makes me want to come back for another bite. The pizza's are as advertised - HUGE but the sauce isn't memorable and crust is bland.. The bartenders are fairly average but there's one guy who's asian who always remembers I drink Manny's. That's good customer service. The trivia and karaoke nights are pretty packed so definitely get there early to snag a seat or booth. I come here to watch games on the tv. For food, beer and atmosphere - I'd rather go next door to Elliot Bay Brewery. Only if they had a big tv at their bar... Oh well.

I like the atmosphere and decor of this pizza "lounge". It's a good place for a group. The entertainment value of the larger than life pizza is worth a half star or more. The pizza itself is super salty and dry. (At least the Pepperoni and Kauai varieties have been.) Fun drinks, huge slices, good atmosphere, meh taste.

  • Jo P.

Good food, quick service... a solid place all around. There are several TVs there, a good beer selection, a small fire pit inside, and a fun crowd that attends. Large pizza slices, though I didn't try any (we had Tillamook cheddar cheese mac and cheese with prosciutto and italian sausage, fantastic garlic chicken soup, and a salad that was the size of my torso). I'll be back.

Meat-market meets sports bar meets Italian eatery? Dine in excrement with human trash! Great place to go if you feel like getting shot, stabbed by one of White Center or Burien's finest denizens. Or a giant piece of shitty dry salty pizza with a girtty dry crust. This is the nastiest, dirtiest bar in West Seattle. And the only one with a bouncer. Just make sure you are current on your shots before going in there. Experts suggest that Talaricos may have been part of a top secret experiment trying to turn White Center and Burien denizens back into normal West Seattites. So if you live in White Center or Burien, light up your Camel cigs, hop in your '83 Camaro and head on over to Talaricos to sing Kareoke or watch the Seahawks (and take part in the secret experiement ) You will agree with this theory when you walk in and see: 1) crooked baseball cap wearing 26 year old tatooed dropouts who live in their parents basement 2) drunken marlboro smoking lowlifes (a dozen standing outside crowding the sidewalk at any given time) 3) other various types of white trash. west seattle dropouts, wannabe thugs and gangstas, and many many sluts 4) men wearing diamond earrings and other absurdly priced designer jewelery. Used to attract lowlife mates. Tanned to the point of almost being black. 5) wife beater wearing dudes, with tight shirts to show off their steroid induced muscles. 6) sluts upon sluts upon sluts. sometimes dancing upon more sluts when there is music. 7) whores. The good news is, are you listening? The good news is that if you want to get an STD from a slut, you have your choice of many many options. In fact, if you wash your hands in the bathroom you might even get an STD. And they have shitty pizza...

I, too, have to say that the service and food here is on the decline. Used to be one of our VERY favorites!!! Yes, Lindsay is THE BOMB as a server; if you are lucky enough to get her, you are in excellent hands and your night is going to be GREAT! If not, good luck. The bar could really benefit from having a top notch bartender in attendance. The drinks lately have been SUB PAR and that is being kind. Who doesn't love a good drink but guess what? It needs to be drinkable, not full of cheap booze that tastes like cough medicine. When you order the same drink every time and know what it's supposed to taste like, that is disappointing; especially when they are so expensive! They removed some choice favorites from the menu and the atmosphere and spotty service just aren't worth the drive anymore. Disappointing!!

I've been here for dinner and just recently started enjoying their Sunday lunch so I can watch some golf, have a good meal and a beer up at the bar. The first time I had a Philly-Cheese-like-sandwich. Really good and drippy. Optioned the chop salad and was able to eat all the salad and take half the sandwich home. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago: opened the sandwich, since I always feel like I have to rearrange everything so meat touches every bite; there was only a scant amount of meat and mostly peppers. The bartender took the sandwich back to the kitchen for a re-do and it came out perfect. Great daytime bartender who will change the channel to whatever you want to watch.

RATING TALARICO'S NIGHTLIFE So, I must say that this is one of my favorite venues in West Seattle. It has the feel of Fremont, Bell Town, or Lower Queen Anne joint in it's swank and appeal. However, in contrast, you can show up in Saturday's best attire or Sunday's sweats and feel right at home. The booths which line the entrance side of the place have huge backs, giving you really nice privacy while the booths on the far side are lower, giving it more of a lounge feel. There is a huge bar in the middle of the place, and a small "dance floor" in the back on most nights. West Seattlites refer to Talarico's as "The Pizza Place" and it's a known night life place in West Seattle. Most nights involve a mix of great Top 40 from the 80's thru today, and the crowd ranges in class from "Trailor"/"Ghetto" to "Mercer Island" and in age from your younger sister to mom and dad (21 and over). RAVES -Amazing drunk food -Fun, relaxed crowd... except that night where that guy got beat up by three dudes outside (but I think that was more the Mexican joint across the street's typical crowd -Great dancing -Very kind staff RANTS -"We don't serve doubles here" WTF? NO LONG ISLANDS (etc) no ENERGY DRINK, so kiss your Jager Bombs goodbye at the door! -Sometimes the swank stinks (as in snobby people suck) -Can occasionally become overbearingly overcrowded or boringly dead (once in a blue moon) OVERALL My fave West Seattle hangout!

I'm such a sucker for this place. The pizza is off the hook and the ambiance is straight out of the night club of my dreams. Try the caprese, anything during happy hour, and $2.00 trivia Wednesdays.

Strong drinks a a pizza slice the size of my head! Loves it! Too bad they are now all ages for dinner. Liked it better when it was 21+ all the time. But it is a good starting point if you are going to bar hop in the Junction.

This place is fun! Love the Bloody Mary bar. Bloody Mary's go great with pizza, didn't you know? The margerita pizza was delicious. Warm and fresh and oh so cheesy. Pretty cheap too. Hard to find a place for lunch/brunch where you can get super full AND buzzed for $8!

Great spot for Saturday happy hour! I have really taken a liking to Talarico's since moving to West Seattle back last August. My favorite time to go is on a Saturday afternoon where I can sit at the bar enjoy a few beers, watch sports on the TVs above the bar and eat a good slice of pizza. Saturday's they have a happy hour menu starting at 3pm where you can get their specialty slices for $4 each and they have a selection of salads and other items for $5 each. The location is big and open yet the fireplace and the atmosphere make it rather comfortable. The staff is always nice too. I have to say my favorite slice is the Sinatra - Ground Spicy Sausage, Peperoncini and Black Olives - sounds weird but it tastes great with a Manny's Pale Ale! I'd also say that this is a good place to go with a group of friends to enjoy a few drinks, pizzza and shoot the breeze. I've taken my West Seattle visitors several times and we've always had a good time.

Went here again recently, and as usual, the pizza kicked ass. Really. Ooey, gooey, giant, flavourful, delicious pizza. But - updating my review to take back a star - it was SO LOUD that my boyfriend and I were basically miserable, sitting in silence after trying to yell into each other's ears. We stared hopelessly at each other until our pizza arrived, ate pur pizza, then got the hell out. Seriously...you could turn the decibels WAY down and still have good, thumpy, loud music for people to enjoy. I would find this too loud for a club, let alone somewhere I might want a LITTLE conversation with my world's-biggest-slice. Boo.

! I heart Talarico's ! After going to New York and having the best pizza EVER, i was afraid that such amazingness would never be tasted again...then, on some magical twist of fate (not really), I found Talarico's! This place has the biggest slices I've ever seen, and all for a measly $5.95! It's the perfect place for a cheap meal/after work hang out. I've tried the Sinatra and the South Street, both are frickin' amazing! They also have a lot of pasta entrees, but why would I ever want to try those when I'm sprung up on the pizza!

Easily one of the best pizzas in Seattle! Freaking huge slices topped with fresh ingredients definitely make for a wonderful triangle-shaped pile of goodness. Last night I tried the Tarantino (onion, green pepper, red onion, calamata olives, and the usual mozzarella/marinara) and it was fantastic. Previously I opted for the Sinatra and the goat cheese with roasted red bell peppers both made a one-two-punch of greatness. I may be a sissy girly man, but their slices will require a fork for consumption. All things considered I came here for the pizza, but there is only one thing that could make this place better: a larger draft beer selection. They do have my favorite beer on tap, so no complaints there. But being a beer snob, I like to pair my beverage with my food and a larger selection would be perfect. Been here a few times and you can be damn sure I will be back for more. Not to mention during happy hour, I snagged two pints and a slice for under $10. ($3.50 for a slice, $3 for draft beer.) Now THAT is something to be happy about.

Great happy hour, with enormous slices of pie. Meal-sized pieces even, and a wait staff that's always been on their best behavior, especially if you're sitting at the bar. Most of the time we're hitting up h.h. and getting a slice of Sinatra, but we've had dinner a few times and it's been quite satisfying. This is a definite staple in our lives and in the 20ish times we've eaten here we've never had a bad experience. Some of the best pizza in Seattle.

I love Talarico's! It's never too busy, has delicious and freakishly huge slices of pizza, and has a great atmosphere (high booths, a big fireplace in the middle of an island that you can sit around, chandeliers, etc.). The best pizza on the menu is hands down the Sinatra, with finely crumbled sausage, pepporonocinis, and black olives. Yum. There is often dancing on weekend nights, which makes it somewhat of a hot spot in West Seattle. I'm also a big fan of their new make your own bloody mary bar on weekends!

I finally made it to Talarico's, home of the big ass slice. Not the best pizza that I have had, but not bad. Before our friends came, I ordered a minestrone soup, which I thought wasnt that great. It was too tomatoey and salty and just, eh. Finally our friends came and we ordered the pizza with the two types of sausage. Again, it was decent but didnt wow me. Well, it did wow me because it was so freaking big. I do see myself coming here again, but I want to make sure that an army comes with me. Zipzap Zubidy Bop!

Talarico's is great. The pizza slices are huge (14") and very good. There is plenty of a variety to choose from. The only desert I have had there is the banana split. It is daunting to look at because of the size of it. But it is very delicious. The staff is great. Both the bartenders and the wait staff are excellent servers and very friendly. Wednesday night has trivia which is a blast. During trivia they have 25% pizza slices, and $2.50 pints of whatever the New Belgian seasonal is at the time.

Do they feed giants here? Talarico's serves huge pizza slices that *will*...or *should* fill your stomach. Yes, it's not NYC pizza, so who cares! I'm a transplant, and can honestly vouch this is tasty pizza compared to many others outside of the tri-state area. Authenticity aside, I cannot get over the size! I've seen a boxed pizza pie the size of a table at Talarico's! The full bar offers generous pours. My drinks are always strong. But you have to account for the fact that I could barely hold two and a half drinks down. Cursed, I tell ya. Come here on a casual date. The lighting is dim and flattering. The ambiance is a mix of jeans with a touch of swank and romance with its bar height tables, leather booths, chandeliers, and fireplace. Solo is fine too. Many dine at the generously sized bar with large screen TVs. The consistent service and fun atmosphere beckons me to return.

They were slammed after the Seahawks game, and not prepared at all. The HVAC wasn't working that evening, and the HVAC dumped cold air on us the whole time we were there. It was 28 degrees outside, so that was bad. Our waitress fled our table before my husband and I could order an appetizer. We ordered 4 different slices of pizza, they came to the table (cold) before the salads. Then as we finally ate our salads, our pizzas kept getting colder. Did I mention it was freeking FREEZING? We will give this place the benifit of he doubt and try it again as the food had real potential, and on a less busy night they might have there act together, but we will definately place our order so we can time our foods ourselves. It was the typical cram it down your throat and get out.

I've finally decided what my favorite pizza in Seattle is - Talarico's margarita pizza. You buy it by the slice (or the whole pie, if you're brave enough) and its crust is thin and crisp but warm and soft on the inside. The mozzarella cheese is all melted and chewy on top, the sauce has just the right amount of flavor and zest and whole fresh basil leaves are placed on top. It's simple, it's HUGE (at about 12" a slice) and it's delicious. Pagliacci's can make a pretty good slice of margarita but Talarico's just about blows them out of the water with their awesome pies. I hear the Hawaiian version (Kauai?) is good too, lots of pineapple chunks and thinly sliced ham. At about $6 a slice, it's a steal. Try going during happy hour (4pm-6pm) and the slices are $3.50. My man and I ate to our content for under $10.

Is that a 14 inch slice of pizza in your pocket or are you just happy to see me? Huge, thin crust, east coast style Pizza. They're confident enough in their coolness they even have one called a Sinatra. It takes some balls to invoke the chairman of the board on a pizza but they pull it off. The place looks like several old school Italian/American restaurants exploded; big wooden bar, faux leather booths, and one section that looks like a huge four poster bed. If you didn't know it was a new place you'd swear it had been there for generations. I like my slices cooked a little bit more, just to that point where there's the slightest signs of burning on the crust. But the ingredients are good, dough is tasty, the cocktails are strong and the vibe is Rat Pack all the way. Ringadingding baby!

Talarico's = pizza as big as your head. Awesome. As good as their pizza is, I always get the Parmesan Polenta Cakes. You've got to try them! They are on the 'starters' menu but one order is big enough for a meal. The meat sauce they put on top is extra yummy and why I just can't get enough of these things. We usually go on Wednesdays for trivia at 8:30. Even if you are completely incapable of retaining the sorts of random facts that are necessary to be successful at trivia, you will still have fun. In fact, if you're as bad at trivia as I am they feel sorry for you and give you a bottle of wine to drown your sorrow in. Seriously. Actually, I almost don't want to mention this because we might start getting competition for last place (and the sad part is, we're trying, we really, really are).

If you go here for dinner knowing it will be loud and obnoxious, you'll love it. Their bruschetta is THE BEST we've ever had! The BF had spaghetti and meatballs and loved it. The waitress was very gracious when he asked for a side of garlic. Twice. Yeah, it was a great night for me. ;) I had the Penne Alla Vodka without meat and I wish I'd noticed they had a "small" version when I ordered. Portions are huge. BUT DELICIOUS! We didn't have a problem with the service - We went on a Saturday night and they were pretty busy.

Talario's is an eclectic group of Burien & White Center's finest denizens displaying their best traits. From the dance floor to the front door . . . possibly one may even get away to the corner store. At any given time you may be engaged in drunken-mumbling conversation, mugged, accosted, left with another parties bill or even assaulted by a drunken over-weight, feather-banged, denim suit wearing (multiple shades) woman. I've been there twice, once during the day to meet a potential business associate (at his suggestion) . . . I stress potential. No food was ordered as I fear dysentery My second adventure was much livelier. My best child-hood friend had to physically engaged a drunken patron - whom mistakenly thought they went to High School together (these are 25-32 year old men!). Luckily, he was current on all his shots. As a West Seattle establishment I don't expect much . . . however, given such low a expectation I was still disappointed. Why do people allow cost to dictate their experiences?

HH...Four Stars for the HH. H H is for happy hour, motherfucker. Cheap Eats. The slices are big. Real big. 4 - 6pm: $3 drafts; $4 wells; $3 slices. Pass on the Kauai Pie. The thinly sliced ham (like Prosciutto) was not all that good. We loved: The West Side The Sinatra Fair Service. Good ambiance - akin to the Matador in darkness and vibe. Late-nights have more of a social-let's get-out-and-find-a-fuck-buddy feel, so you may want to pass, unless you are in your early twenties.

I love this place. My FAVORITE W. Seattle haunt. The pizza is amazing, and H.U.G.E. And the prices are also excellent...GREAT happy hour. The appetizers are also very good. And there's no shortage of drinks (sorry, no kids). The vibe is awesome, and don't be surprised when you hear them playing stuff like Radiohead, Sublime and Modest Mouse. Very comfortable, very chill. If you don't like this place, it's because there is something wrong with YOU, not them.

Happy hour is really the only way to go here. The happy hour prices are very reasonable with $4 slices and a slight discount on drafts. The food is decent but without happy hour prices it would just not be worth it. The atmosphere is nice, dim lighting, really confortable seating, and a nice big bar. It has a couple nice TV's over the bar done tastefully, not too much to make it feel like a sports bar but great for the couple people who came to have a drink and catch the game. I would give this place 3 stars for normal hours and 4 stars during happy hour (they have late night happy hour too). If your in the neighborhood during HH its definitely worth stoping in and trying.

GINORMOUS pizza slices. Bigger than my friend Chris' head, and he's got the biggest noggin of anybody I know. They have about 20 different combinations too -- I recently had the goat cheese, artichoke, tomato and it was excellent. Ambience is interesting -- the interior of it looks like a seedy bar you might find in the French Quarter of New Orleans with its crazy orange chandelier lamps and exposed rafters. The music was disjointed though -- some dude was spinning hip-hop? Pfffft. As other reviewers have noted, the weeknight post-9pm clientele is...strange. Sometimes I find myself paying more attention to the folks at the bar than I do my eating companions. Ah well. However, the pizza is bomb. A friend recently bought a house in W. Seattle and Talarico's has become our staple late-night eatery. Solid three from me.

I have nothing against Talaricos. I'm sure we'll be back. While I was wowed by the *size* of the slice, I wasn't really wowed by anything else on the recent Wednesday night trip there with the bf. The pizzas slices we got were big. Definitely. I would have to agree the sauce is lacking in the flavor department, as well as the crust being pretty non-descript, but if you slam enough tasty toppings on there it's more than edible. The pricing isn't too bad for what you're getting, but I think next time I may delve deeper into their menu. Our lovely server was attentive, but not overly so - just how I like 'em. The decor was having a bit of identity crisis towards the back of the bar, but from our table next to one of the open windows in front it seemed like a cozy place to have a slice and a beer and a bit of conversation with a date or a significant other or even a friend (or a few). Husky Deli is right across the street, so if you can manage to keep your appetite going long enough after one of those monstrous slices (good luck with that), you can grab some ice cream for the trip back to your car (or so I've heard).

This place was a total hoot during its late-night scene, complete with cheesy music (not that I don't love it) and blonde girls dirty dancing. The pizza slices looked wonderful for their sheer size, and I was tempted to ask for a bite, particularly the one with fresh mozzarella. However, I can't make much comment about the food, other than it seems entirely appropriate for a long night out in West Seattle. There is a huge, pretty neat bar and a lot of seating. The service was average...we had table service and it was pretty busy.

Good pizza! Descent drinks, I went there last night and ordered some delicious pizza. But be careful, I burned my tongue really bad, but I can't complain because nobody wants cold pizza. My tongue still really hurts but I can't wait to go back! Yum.

4 of us went in to get pizza and they tried to seat us at the big table with the fireplace in the deep dark black corner near the back (which I'm sure would have allowed them to forget about us). We asked for one of the many empty booths we passed as we were walked into the darkness, and the hostess sat us in a booth. We ordered some beer and proceeded to "argue" over what we wanted on our huge pizza. We settled for half Hawaiian and half pepperoni-jalapeno. You can get a slice made to order how you want it, or you can get a huge 8-slice pizza with your choice of toppings or one of their own pizza types. Adam ordered some meatballs for appetizer (Wedding Singer sized meatballs). They were good, but not the best I've had. The pizza came out and it took up almost half of the table. It was decent pizza, the slices were huge (which is part of the gimmick). The pepperoni side was pretty good, the Hawaiian side was disappointing (diced ham would be better than shaved deli-style ham IMO). For the pizza, the meatballs, and 8 beers, it was almost $100 (before tip). It was a fun place to go for a change, but if you're looking for quality in a pizza and not quantity, I would suggest going elsewhere.

Having not lived in West Seattle for a few years, I had yet to stumble into Talarico's since it was New Luck Toy, which I had frequented. It was nice to see what they had done to the place. They apparently kept a bunch of the Chinese decor here and there, but cleared out pretty much all of the walls. One, huge, open space surrounding the large bar, but even with the new windows on the California Ave side, the place was still incredibly dark. Sure, I enjoy dim, romantic lighting for dates...but I still want to be able to SEE my date, as well as what I'm eating. Not sure that would be possible in the back. Also, on a Friday evening around 5pm it was pretty dead, which isn't good for business, but I'm rarely a fan of crowds anyways, so I liked it. My friend and I each got a slice of pizza from the happy hour menu and were surprised with the results. Giant slices for $3.50? Amazing. Thin crust, good cheese, not remotely fitting on the plate. Not enough for a meal, but for a large, hearty snack? Perfect. I'll be coming back for that alone.

Seriously, the pizza slice was the size of an entire huge plate, and it was spilling off the side. It was insanely huge! But so delish and cheap and yummm! I got the Coppola, which had goat cheese and roasted red pepper. So delicious. We paired this with a small green salad that was really yummy and provided some semblance of nutrition to a lunch :) I have heard this place is bumpin' at night and I could see that with like, a biker set of people, but apparently it's a young crowd! And I'm sure that huge slice of pizza is the ideal 2am takeout after a night of drinking! I will def. be back here when I return to Seattle.

Pizza slices bigger than your head! The thin-crust pizza slices are great for around 6 dollars! It would be difficult to eat even one slice if the crust was any thicker. They have some ready-made combos (I had the "Sinatra" - pepperoni, olives, sausage), but you can also make your own. The ingredients are all fresh and the marinara sauce is great. Starters are good with healthy portions as well. Whole Caesar Salad is large enough for two. I had their summer vegetable soup which was fabulous! Flavorful broth with just the right balance of vegetables and tomatoes. There is a large bar in the middle of the restaurant and the entire restaurant is set with low dim lights. I'm usually there on a weekend, so the bar is usually filled with singles dressed up way to fancy for this pizza joint. However, atmosphere can be romantic with the large booths that they also have.

Meatball sliders!? It's nice to see a twist on a bar favorite. The pizza slices are not just a good deal, the pizza is actually very good. Slices are large and in charge, the crust is not too doughy, and the types of pizza are well conceived. The crowd is pretty standard for a hip Seattle neighborhood joint. There are the predominantly post-college-greeks occupying the bar-height tables with a few older West Seattle locals at the bar. Talarico's and the Matador bring Lower Queen Anne nightlife to quaint West Seattle. It's not a bad thing; it's just the way I describe it. You'll find me at Pesos a couple times a year, and I'm a regular at the Ballard Matador. In the end, I'm confused by Talarico's. Is it a tequila bar? Is it a pizza place? Am I at the Matador? No, there's pizza on the menu, and I see the Chinese decor from the previous restaurant. I'll go back but only because that's where my West Seattle friends end up.

Mmmmmm..... I always order the same thing, I think it's called the Tarantino with marinara on the side because I like to dip it. That's right, dip it. The pizza slices are the size of a newborn baby so come hungry or don't bother. If you are a salad eater watching your figure, go somewhere else. If you can't make happy hour, the regular prices aren't much more and it's so worth it. The garlic bread is pretty standard, nothing spectacular. Drinks? My man likes to order PBR so you can't go wrong with that. I am a Gin & Tonic gal and have no complaints.

  • Nina N.

So looking around at the menu thinking wow these prices are pretty darn expensive for a pizza pie. But then as I look over at a neighbor's food, the best choice is to pay per slice. so I got the garlicy pizza, with peppers, and chicken! Nina likey :) nina weelllyyy wellllyy likey!!!! Now I can understand why they charge so much for a pizza pie, it probably is as big as my little body!!!!!! fyi : they had trivia night that night, and I was watching the crazy trivia people on the bar top just writing away.. AND THEY WERE SERRRIOOOOOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!.. I really wanted to go on my iphone and say the answers outloud to just fuck with them :) that would have been really fun.. notttttttttttt!!!

Great Pizza! Huge slices--seriously it will overwhelm you if you order a whole pizza. Great bartenders, karaoke is worth it once or twice, the staff has to participate and are pretty good. Quite the West Seattle scene, if you want to meet West Seattle people or have a reunion...this is where to be on a Saturday night.

It's definitely been awhile since I had been here but we decided to go grab a slice the other night. We went here a lot when we first moved to West Seattle but then discovered Fatty's (R.I.P.) and stopped coming. The place hasn't changed much but they did add some new pizza options on their menu. And it seems their slices have gotten even larger, if that's even possible! I tried the slice with smoked pepperoni, mozzarella, tomatoes and basil. It was mighty tasty I have to say and one slice was enough to make me full, no doubt! I'm also a fan of the Coppola - goat cheese with roasted red peppers. I still dig the atmosphere and the service was better than I remembered. They had a guy performing that was basically a one man band and he was pretty good. This is definitely a cool place to come and hang out with some friends.

been there about 5 times - love the huge (14" inch) pizza slices @ 4 bucks during their 4-6 happy hour - plus appetizers @$5, loved the 4 meatballs w/ garlic bread, booze/beer prices pretty steep and few taps (5)- nice booths- sports on several large tv's - go dawgs! I give it a soft 4 stars for unique pizza happy hour - recommend this joint and will return - gets pretty crowded with hormonal prowlers on thurs-fri-sat evenings, sometimes a line waiting to get in- make that 6 times, this time the meat-uh-balls were lukewarm, hardly any sauce and the garlic bread was dry, but otherwise... service still great, good cutlery and clean, but they lost a star...$4.50 for a Stella's stubby lager at happy hour??

I have visited Talarico's many times for Trivia and friendly gatherings. Each time is a different experience but sometimes it is a very bad experience. They have great pizza and dishes. I especially love the amount of toppings on the pizzas and the generous salads. What I don't like 85% of the time is the wait staff. They have some really bad waiters/waitresses. I have sat waiting 30+ minutes just to get my tab and the place wasn't even half full. I even asked several times for the check only to be told it is on it's way. Please Talarico's hire some better wait staff!

Personally, I really love this place! The atmosphere is great, from the fireplace, romantic chandelier lighting, secluded booths, right down to the bamboo tables. Here's a link to some images of the place: talaricoswest.com/image.… Not to mention, how can you go wrong with a 14" slice of pizza for $5? Being the small eater that I am, this can usually last me two or three meals. For $5! I have tried most of them and they are all splendid. The Carpaccio appetizer is a-ma-zing! I also greatly enjoyed the House Made Meatballs. Basically, I have not been disappointed in anything I have eaten here so far! If you are worried about drinking and driving, the bus service is great to the area. You can catch a 57, 55, 54, or 22 to the "Alaska Junction." * Happy Hour 7 Days 4-6pm (draft beers $3, well drinks $4, $3 pizza slices) * Karaoke -Trivia -Live Music (I have heard one show here, and I have to say it was very good, made for a fun date!)

Frack me! Sorry Ive been watching too much Battlestar, but I wish I would've known that this was a 21 and up place cause our 3 yr old was with us. So that evening didn't start out great, but we found tv parking! We ended up going to the place next door which is family friendly and afterwards got one of their mondo slices. I thought is was pretty good and probably even better when served right there at the joint. Still I have yet to find pizza like Ive had in NY. I know I know I'm a whiner about pizza :) Great party pizza though b/c we saw someone carrying out one the size of a table.

Delicious massive pizza slices with tons of topping variety! I was also pleased to see they had a bloody mary bar (which I still need to try). Try to make it for happy hour though, their prices for the normal dining hours aren't exactly the lowest. I'm also glad they kept some of the old decorations from the New Luck Toy, the Chinese restaurant they took over.

  • Garret A.

Great slices of pizza. So big that you don't know what to do with them. Similar to JUMBO SLICE in DC. The Hawaiian is good and I dig the full leaf Caesar Salad. Great Bar, I'm amazed they built this place out of the old New Luck Toy. I had been there with my parents 20 times growing up and I love how they left certain parts of it intact. Going into this place feels like a west seattle reunion every time as I see about 20 people i know each time. West Seattle is the type of place that you don't leave, and struggle to get out of your whole life similar to when gangsters talk about the ghetto, and the way it keeps pulling them back. West Seattle is the same way and if you want to talk about it with other westies go to talaricos mo'fockas.

4.5 * One of our friends is ADDICTED to Talarico's. I'm pretty sure that when her lease was up recently she decided to stay in West Seattle simply for the proximity to said pizza. We've been there for trivia night several times as well as various other nights and we have never received anything but awesome service. The food is great and it is very good pizza especially during happy hour. The guy who runs the trivia nights is fun and the other customers tend to be a big heckling one liner shouting group by the end. Try the Sinatra or Coppola slices and you won't regret it. I am only deducting 1/2 a star because trivia usually starts too late on a weeknight for me.

The true test of any pizza lover is whether or not you eat a Talarico pizza with a fork or heft that sucker up in both hands and go to town. Good pizza - yes, I've tasted better but the novelty of the giant slices doesn't completely blind everyone to the taste. This stuff is legit. Plus they COVER the thing with toppings. I mean, you can barely see the cheese. Great for big groups of people, atmosphere is fun, and service is excellent. I was never without a full glass of sprite and the waitress came over to check on us just enough so that it was useful but not annoying. They are also great sports about groups of people spending hours hanging out - though if you go do that you didn't hear it from me. PLUS it's in prime West Seattle, so walk over and grab yourself a Trophy Cupcake for desert!

Late Night Dilemma: I'm hungry. Late Night Solution: Talarico's Pizzeria & Lounge. The pizza was as big as my head. So cheap. So good. Delicious tap of beer. Beautiful decor. If I'm in Seattle again, I'll hit this place up.

Talarico's used to be an asian karaoke bar way back when. The pizza slices are huge!! Really huge!!!! Unfortunately, they put rosemary in their sauce and all i can taste is the rosemary. I don't think rosemary belongs in a pizza sauce and I really cannot eat it with it in the sauce. On the upside, they have THE BEST ceasar salad in the state. Its just as good as a New York ceasar salad and their portions are generous. Its a great place to hang with friends on a weekend watching football and eating some munchies, but if you don't like rosemary-don't order the pizza.

You could take one of their 14" slices and wrap it all the way around your head - probably twice if you have a small head - and then you could go out on California Street with your Pizza Turban and the chicks would LOVE you! All the hungry chicks who eat pizza turbans, that is. See if you can get them shout, "Brraaaains! Brrrraaains!" while they chase you down the street. That would be awesome. Are you getting the zombie reference? No? Well my point is that the slices are good and will certainly keep your head warm. That's all I'm saying.

Tip: come here at the end of lunch, so you can get the lunch menu and happy hour menu :D Great happy hour prices. The sweet signora salad is excellent and well priced (though sometimes heavy on the dressing so probably best to get that on the side). pizza slices are huge and delicious (regular price? meh, happy hour price? most definitely). the beers on tap are pretty standard for seattle, with great prices for happy hours.

I do love thin crust pizza. Having tried several of their "slices" I can't decide which I like best. This past weekend I ordered a whole pie to go and the box was so large that it barely fit through the front door. Glad I had a pickup truck because I don't know if it would have fit into a car. The staff is very friendly, the place is clean, the food is great... I've only been there for weekend lunches and so I haven't experienced the place when crowded, putting servers to the test.

Their pizza isn't very good, it's just huge. The doorman always seems to be an asshole, and the bartenders ignore you. That's what happens when you pepper a nightlife establishment with underachieving twenty-somethings that like to make you feel inferior. The only good thing about it is the crowd they get on the weekends.

I enjoy the Talarico's pizza as well as the ambiance in the bar. I also like their wine selection and think it is a the perfect place to hang out at the junction. Also their prices are very reasonable especially as their wine pours are really generous. I recommend this place

During my short stint in West Seattle I loved this place. The atmosphere is great, the bar is great, the pizza is great. Everything is great here! I would highly recommend the margarita pizza. Its savory and delicious. In addition, there is no need to get a full pizza unless you have a large group of people. A slice will do, trust me! This place has bomb.com sangria. The kinda of sangria that is delightfully dangerous, so make sure you have a DD if you decide to order several glasses/pitchers. Calling all sports fans! This place has several flat-screens featuring many sporting events. So basically, if you like pizza, alcohol, dark places, and sports this place is for you.

Food tasted like crap!!!!! My girlfriend ate one bite and it almost made her sick. I couldn't even eat half of one slice myself. We complained but they wouldn't take it off our bill. Then, when we went to leave, we got our bill ... $50!!!!!! WTF? The sign out front said "Happy Hour - $3 drafts, $4 slices, $5 starters". Apparently it wasn't happy hour. Why was the sign out when it wasn't happy hour? F##k this place!!!!

Made my 2nd visit to Talarico's last night; the first was not too long after they opened a few years ago and I now remember why I hadn't been back. Not inpressed with the food or the service. Won't be back...

First, and most importantly - this is good pizza. Nice thin, chewy, fold-able crust, zesty sauce and good toppings. It's also by the slice, which is hard to come by in this town. It's also COLOSSAL - like those fake oversized sunglasses or Pam Anderson's booblies. One slice is like two and half human-sized slices. Secondly, this here is a bar where - get this - people TALK TO EACH OTHER. And not as in the usual little cliques - but actual strangers. You can actually sit at the bar, order a lovely slice and a drink and talk to other people at the bar without the entire place going silent because of the anomaly. TIP: happy hour from 4-6 daily - $3 slices and more strangers to chat with

Yes, the slices are very big. And yes, the taps and wine are very good. And yes, the crowd is good and the bartenders are attentive. But, hey, can't we puff up that crust a bit?? I mean does it have to be pressed down hard like that? I'm from Boston, so maybe tougher to please, but we're talking dough here. Overall, I like this place as much for the atmosphere and drinks as for the food. Happy to have them in the hood. And very happy they kept some of the cheesy decor from the old Chinese place. Nice disco ball.

I've been to Talarico's quite a few times. I love this place! Although, it is not the best pizza in town, it is pretty great and the slices are huge! The salads are tasty, especially the Chop-Chop and the drinks are strong and fairly priced. The only thing I wish for them to improve is the service. I find it quite slow for the most part. Other than that, I recommended it. It is definitely a fun place!!

Are you serious? This slice of pizza is at least 1.5 times the size of my head. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would be in pizza heaven here. Check out the Karaoke night to be entertained by some interesting folks.

This is nice, friendly neighborhood gathering place. Enjoyed some happy hour wine and pizza and enjoyed it a great deal. However, the wine glasses could have used a little extra washing and overall TLC -- both of the glasses I got were dirty. Kind of a cross between hard water stains and many layers of lipstick. It was a little off-putting, but I didn't want to make a fuss, so I didn't say anything. I really liked that the pizza portions are generous and that the pie isn't greasy on the bottom. I felt like I was being calorie conscious, even though I was essentially eating the equivalent of several pieces of pizza in one sitting. In regards to the overall environment, I like that the place wasn't too loud even with it being a Friday night and happy hour. I could actually carry on a conversation with my friend without having to shout. I give this place three stars because it wasn't like I was wowed, but I wasn't disappointed either. It made for a nice evening.

On a rainy Tuesday evening, my little brother and I decided to use one of the Restaurants.com coupons that I had acquired on their last 90 % off extravaganza. I chose Talaricos because I had heard that they had an amazingly large slice of pizza on the menu. Well, I was a little hungry and knew that this was where I needed to be. The server actually warned us. Twice. He said we weren't ready to order this monster. We ordered anyway and were defeated by the enormity of the thing. It was delicious, and amazing. The place is huge, too. If you wanna bring 7 friends, then come here and get a pizza. They also are a well stocked bar that does Karaoke too. I'll be back, and I'm fixin to take on the pizza again.

Yay! Have been here several times since my last review and have had stellar service every time - even the time when I had my 6 & 8 year old nephew and niece with me, and they are two tough customers. One more recommendation to add to my last review: the spinach and artichoke dip. My friends and I marveled at how un-Red Robinish it was (i.e. not a bowl of cheesy grease) and ordered a second one after polishing off the first. Nothing but good things to say!!

I was excited they let me order a vegetarian item off the kid's menu, no questions asked. I totally do not look 12, and I had an alcoholic beverage as well, so there was no question about my age. It was delightful that they catered to my vegan needs. The service is good. I will be back - this place has a dedicated following, and I trust that it is not going anywhere anytime soon.

Monster slices that are pretty darn tasty and friendly staff. (Which I've come to expect in West Seattle.) Great place to belly up to the bar and watch football or whatever sport you're into.

Me and my friend ordered the 28" pizza (about $39). Half pepperoni & mushroom, the other half hawaiian style. The pizza is definitely huge! Pretty good tasting, too. NY style definitely because it's thin and you can fold it in half...my favorite style! I like the interior with the bar in the middle and huge plasma tv's on each side of the bar. Service was real good, our waiter kept rooting us on to finish the entire pizza. The only drawback was that I was so full that I wasn't able to eat anything the following day. I definitely recommend this place, but bring friends to help finish the pizza!

I liked this place. The room is very cool, with a very large and stylish bar, and booths with high backs for privacy. There were a couple of TV's to watch the game, not overwhelming, but a big HDTV right above the bar to keep the sports geeks happy is always a good idea. Before our slices came out, we saw a whole pie go out the door for pickup, and while I didn't see the pie, I saw the box, and it was twice the size of God. The pizza was pretty good, and of course huge. The service was great to start out, and then faded, as I think our waitress forgot about us. We weren't ordering a ton of food or drinking like fish. Not a big deal, just worth mentioning. It looks like this place turns into a Melrose Place audition room after the dinner hour, which may be a good thing or a bad thing, depending. All I know was the hot tail started coming in just as I was leaving. How typical.

If it weren't for the fact that they ended up comping our entire meal, this place should get no stars at all. The fact that the place was almost empty and we still had to wait half an hour for our food is only the tip of the iceberg. I ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich with house salad and my better half got a caesar, garlic bread and a cheese plate for both of us. All of it was awful. The chicken on my sandwich might as well not have been there. That's how much taste it had. It was slathered in mediocre run-of-the-mill marinara, which tasted like it came fresh from the can and the whole shebang was slapped on a tough and tasteless hogieroll. The most pronounced flavor was a little bit of ground pepper on top. The breading and parmasan? I had to check that they were actually there. The house salad had a bit of crunch but again no taste, unless water counts. The cheeseplate was a horror. The cheeses were second rate at best, and the olives that came with them were nothing to write home about either. A few select slices of salami managed to give my wife a stomach ache that lasted a couple of hours. Which brings me to her grilled chicken caesar salad. First of all, it looked like someone had a teaspoon of dressing in one spot only and ignored the rest of the plate. A caesar with no dressing is really just romaine. Of course there is the flaky cheese bits on top, which had already acquired little beeds of sweat when the food was served. Apart from that, it was about as delicious as cardboard. Finally, the chicken looked and tasted like something straight out of a vaccuum packed package from the deli-section of your local supermarket. Right down to the fridge temperature. This too, had little to no taste. Just to add insult to injury, someone in the kitchen actually thinks the food is good enough here, that putting salt on the table isn't necessary. We ate about a quarter of our order, before finally deciding to leave. As I said, they did not charge us for any of it, which was very nice of them, but I am still not ever going back to that place.

I used to be a huge fan of this place... probably spent a couple of thousand dollars here in the last 5 years. I love most of the food, they serve tall boys of pbr, triva night is great on wednesdays and I know all the longtime staffers by name. So this being said, why not a huge fan any longer you might ask? There is a seasonal bartender/waiter that they bring back every summer that is just plain rude and thinks he is way above the patrons. He actually told me once that he didn't like drunk people after I asked him why he had such an attitude problem after several conversations with him. Well then why the heck do you work in a freak'n bar??? Ya, I wont be back until fall and hope that the d-bag is gone. Sad that he had to ruin it for me and probably I'm not the only one if he treats all customers this way...

As some of you know I'm not a big fan of pizza it doesn't really do much for me so I bet now you're wondering why the heck is she reviewing a pizzeria if she doesn't like pizza? Well because I liked this pizza, I had a slice of the goat cheese with arugula and it was tasty. A very thin crust, little sauce, yummy goat cheese and topped with some fresh green arugula. And the slice was as BIG as my head seriously it was HUGE the kind you can fold over and eat it like a sandwich, I didn't do that I was civil and used a fork and knife. They have a pretty great happy hour; $3.00 HUGE as BIG as my head slices of pizza, $3 drafts and $4 wells. I had one slice and one pint of Alaskan Amber and I was a happy camper spending around $6.50 before tip. And I must point out I didn't eat the whole slice I couldn't it was too much but have no fear the food did not go to waste I had a nice Italian boy, I mean man, there to clean my plate for me. Also to note on Wednesday night at 10:00 pm they have movie nights if I wasn't old or I didn't have to wake up at the butt crack of dawn thirty for work I'd like to check one out sometime; last night was Fight Club, "The first rule of Fight Club is - you do not talk about Fight Club" so we won't talk about last night or the meeting IN the ladies room. Oh one more thing to add it's a kid free zone, since it's considered a "bar" no one under 21 is allowed in here kind of like a Yelp Elite event.

Pretty nice place.. Nice atmosphere.. Pizza slices are for someone the size of shrek. Peperoni pizza was decent. Happy hour prices are incredible though... we went over the time slot for happy hour and they didn't say anything... Nice people and generous.

I'm going to have to try this place again. I went last night with my roommate and enjoyed the carpaccio (three bread sticks, two people?) and the chicken sandwich. I wish there were more items on the evening menu, but I digress. To the person who said it's better than the restaurant it replaced, one New Luck Toy; BLASPHEMY!!!

I really wanted to like this place. I like the bar setup, tv's and overall ambiance. The first time I went I had the spaghetti and meatballs which were really good, the second time I had their pizza which was not so good. They are trying to make up for the lack of flavor with a large slice. I had pizza here with 2 friends and we both had stomach problems. I decided to try it again a week later (today). Perhaps if I tried other toppings I thought... Wrong, same bad crust and yes.. again... stomach problems for my friend and I. There is no way going 5 for 5 on stomach problems is just a coincidence. We think it might be the cheese as I had margarita pizza today. I am real surprised other people aren't having this issue.

Don't be put off by the 3-star rating. This place has got some decent eats. Talarico's is supposed to be Phillie-style pizza and although it's tasty, it's definitely not Phillie style. Ya see, nobody in Phillie would pay this much for pizza nor would they want it so 'gourmet.' I think this is pizza with an identity crisis... "I want to be Phillie, but I want to be shi-shi, too." While the result is not altogether unpleasant (ok - I like it pretty well), it isn't hugely successful for either pizza-dentity. The slices are rather huge, though. Get just one for dinner unless you are a big eater. On the other hand the carpaccio is rather delightful. It's lightly encrusted with rock salt & served with a lovely vinagrette-dressed herb salad. There is no question this dish is a Seattle version of the beloved meaty classic. No identity crisis here. Recommended! The pasta dishes they cook up are usually pretty good, too. I won't forget our waiter's impassioned description of a particular version. I haven't been disappointed in a pasta choice yet. Good option. For the most part the servers are the youngish types. Some are better at their jobs than others. There's been times we waited longer than we should have. There's been times we've been very well attended. The setting is trendy-ish leaning towards the mid-20s to late 30s crowd. The space itself is not really spectacular... in fact the layout is odd - probably owing to the recent remodel from a beloved Chinese restaurant - the legendary New Luck Toy. One thing they did right was keep the NLT dragon ornament with the glowing red eyes. It's on the north wall near the stage area. Check it out. Leave minors at home. These guys won't even let the under 21 crowd in for food - a bummer as my little sis is 19 and I can't bring her with me.

I wasn't terribly impressed with Talarico's. The really big pizza is neat, but seems to be the claim to fame. I found their lack of imagination in pizza types to be silly. Their beer list was not as complete as I would have hoped, as is mentioned in some other yelper reviews. Inside, it is a little dark for my taste, but the booths are comfy and large enough for a decent sized party to all be able to sit and eat the huge pizza comfortably. I'd likely not go back if it's up to me, but I'd join someone for drinks.

Having declared It carb-out night out!, we set out to Abbondanza Italian on California for a plate of pasta and a couple of glasses of vino - only to find it packed!! Crap. Now where. La Rustica? No, too expensive. Does West 5 serve pasta? -hmm- only Mac'nCheese, I think. As we're having this discussion driving up California, we see a spot open in front of Talarico's. "Do they have pasta?" "I don't think so - just pizza." "Let's check out the menu anyway." They do, indeed, offer a pasta dish. Tonight - a spring pea penne dish, to be exact. WHICH turned out to be fantastic. As was the specially made - for the Man- penne, meatball and marinara dish. The spring pea penne was tossed in a light butter-garlic sauce with a topping of frissee and shaved green onion and Parmesan. Sooo Good. I really was surprised at the level (and depth) of flavor (it's a pizza joint, afterall). Sarah, our wonderful server, told us that the head chef spent some time in the Dahlia Lounge kitchen. Hmm, interesting. While I can't comment of the quality of the pizza - the slices and salads we saw coming out looked good and plenty. The bar was full and people seemed to be having a good time. While the NBA playoffs were on - there was no TV sound to be heard from our booth vantage point. A fun and enjoyable music selection played throughout the evening. In addition to the frequent later night live music, they also have movies on Wednesday nites. This past was Caddy Shack. That got our attention for something different. It's such an odd space. I'd love to experience it with the live music and bigger/louder crowd. Can't vouch for the HH menu - but the regular wine/drink pours at regular prices seems fair. No disappointments on this carbfest. (however, it means two trips to the gym tomorrow. I'm not kidding.)

You can get yourself $5 for a slice of pizza you can barely finish. Not best ever but very reasonable quality per dollar. The salads are on the bland side as well but exactly like the pizza make up for it in size. The pasta dishes are better, but not really worth the price of admission. Best part of this Talarico's? Skilled bartenders. I've had some of the best made Manhattans and martinis here. The giant LCD TVs the size of Kansas on both sizes of the bar are nice if you feel like watching the game. Plus if you enjoy grooving to the smooth stylings of wolves baying at the moon, Sun-Tues are karaoke nights.

Just went to Talarico's Pizzeria & Lounge for the second time. This place is great! The pizza slices are huge and they are super delicious. I was super impressed. They also had karaoke which is cool on a Thursday night. This place is a must visit when you are in West Seattle. It's located in the junction across from the Husky Deli.

This place is just ok. Yes, it's true that if you order pizza here, it's HUGE! We went there like Friday night with live DJ and a lot of drunk people dancing! They are doing like chicken dance or line dancing which is really funny and at the same you just want to go out and find a place somewhere else. If you are planning to go there to have a good conversation (other than shouting), I don't recommend it here. Music is just so loud and music is so 80's. If you are looking for a better place without the crowd and dancing, try Matador instead (like a block).

big fail! first time here: drinks and antipasto platter. not bad. next up ordered a whole pepperoni pizza which was not bad but also greasy. last up: ordered out a half margarita half kauai. margarita no tomatoes? really it was cheese, not much sauce and some basil. last time i checked that was not a margarita. kauai was prosciutto, mozz, marinara, pineapple. prosciutto tasted like canadian bacon. whole can of pineapple on half turned it off completely. but seriously no tomatoes on a margarita? thats a complete fail in my book. who cares if they have GIANT slices. does not make them have good pizza. the only thing they have going for them is giant slices.

Aside from being dark, loud and hot, I don't quite get what this place is trying to be. Meat-market meets sports bar meets Italian eatery? Seems like it could be a good place to go after a night of drinking to get some relatively cheap, filling eats. Regardless of the ambiance, bring your appetite. Or bring a friend and split a salad and a piece of pizza. Both are literally huge.

We headed to Talarico's because they would be able to accommodate our large group. I was surprised to see how large it was inside! The gigantic delicious pizza made me feel like I was Alice in Wonderland - it was that big. The staff and other patrons were super friendly and the prices were good. The interior decorations are interesting, because it used to be a Chinese restaurant, and there's some left over wall art from that business. I think it's fun.

We went there at about 6 PM on a Friday night and found ourselves disappointed. They served made-to-order 14" slices of pizza, which was a good concept. However, the pizzas were greasy, salty, and the crust had an "old" taste. We ordered a side of green salad and it was a plate of lettuce drenched in dressing topped with a bunch of shredded Parmesan cheese. Regardless, it had a pretty well stocked bar, a large TV showing football, and decent service. While we were there, we saw 2 policemen walking around the restaurant looking for someone. The tables will fit 4-6 people but not large parties. We wouldn't go back again. There are better choices of restaurants in the neighborhood.

So we hit this place up after a long day on the road and hitting up some skateparks. We all were tired and sore as hell and pizza was on the bill for sure so our "tourguide" walked us to Talarico's Pizzeria! So we step inside and it's dark and looking a little too classy for me. We get sat down at a table around the edge of the place. Our first waiter for the evening had a sleeve of tattoos, so I threw the classy part out the window right away. I guess I'll dip right into how I felt about the place, rather than a step by step on how the night went. Food was good as hell. I'm a sucker for an east coast style piece o' pie. Like someone else noted, not sure which style or anything, but it was good and the biggest slice I've ever had the chance to eat. I had asked my friend how many slices I should order and he said, well, start with one and if you think you can finish that, order a second. I order my first slice and it was good. Really good. Order the second and while I'm waiting, my friend says, "hey, I'll give you $50 if you can finish three slices of pizza and two cannoli's." I had never even had a cannoli, but hey, fifty bucks is fifty bucks. To make a long story short, I got the job done. The pizza was good, the cannoli's were good, the refills could not be stopped, the waitress' were beautiful and karaoke was non stop. Not sure what else I can say about this place other than it's worth at least one visit in your travels to West Seattle. Can get a little spendy if you aren't careful, but I will be getting back here very soon with the lady!

Being from Chi-town, I may be a harsher pizza judger than most. I sorta like this place, if your in the mood for just a slice. I think they put some nutmeg in the crust or something, it definitely has something to it. The only reason that I gave it 3 stars because they wouldn't let me order a slice to go. Can you imagine, they actually wanted me to come into the restaurant and order drinks and more food.. the outrage!* Seriously, I wanted that slice to go. At night it definitely has a little bit of a meat market feel, but great people watching. I've never been there for karaoke but here it can be fun.

Tell me how 2 slices and 3 beers add up to 30 dollars.. I even checked the items to make sure it was right.. the pizza was ok - not stellar by any means. Service was great which is the only thing saving this from a 2 star or less.

We have never had a bad experience here. When my friends threw me a surprise baby shower, Talarico's wrote "It's a Girl" in pepperonis on our giant pizza. Their food is great and really reasonable.

We go here just about every week for Trivia with Mars and Phil. I usually get a slice of pizza (cheese, sometimes something more fancy if I feel particularly wealthy that day) or maybe a half Caesar or iceberg. Also the drink special, which is totally affordable. I like the new bathrooms and the decor. Sometimes the poor waitstaff is a little to waited so it takes awhile for things (like the checks) but I can't particularly blame them. Actually what am I saying? Can't blame them at ALL. They split our bills bring beers back only to hear "hey can I get another..." My friend comes just for the dreamy bus boy.

Now, admitedly I have been in this area for four years...and I might be grasping at straws....but....I think that theirs REALLY IS NY PIZZER! I am thinking that they import the water or something. The slices are huge, the toppings remind me of home, they do have a few California choices....but with good sawce and good crust....its New York. Go for a slice...you will not regret it.

I love the ambiance of this place; I also love the bar. So go to Talarico's if you fancy a drink and some mood lighting, but please don't go there for the pizza. I've been here on a number of occasions, and each time I feel like the pizza isn't up to par. The crust is a little too think, as is the cheese. Their artichoke dip is also greasy and blah. Last time I was there, I tried their meatball appetizer, which had great flavor. So maybe next time I stop in for a drink I'll try their spaghetti? Eh.

Do not bring kids... since it's a new thing that kids are allowed the waitstaff has no idea about waiting on a table with little ones, i.e bring crayons/paper, bring water with a straw, bring crackers or breadsticks.... I think eventially they will catch on but for now leave the little ones at home. The food was marginal. We got slices of pizza and they were hot and big but lacked in spices... kinda bland.... There are so many great other restaurants that I don't need to go back....

After a failed attempt at finding cupcakes for dessert, my friends and I wondered into West Seattle and settled at Talarico. It was a pleasant surprise, great atmosphere and we happened to be there on a night when a hip hop band was performing. I have yet to try the pizza but their dessert menu was pretty damn good. I recommend the Reese's Skillet Cookie and Ice Cream.

As a bar, Talarico's is kinda cool. Not my normal scene, but if I'm in the mood for karaoke, not bad. However, reading the reviews here of their pizza makes me think that the people giving positive reviews of their pizza must be employees of the bar! Their pizza is total crap! They half-bake a frozen-dough cheese pizza, then add the toppings YOU order later and finish baking it after you order it! Sorry, that's not pizza.

I ventured out to West Seattle to visit a friend. We sat around chatting at her place before we decided it was time to get out and wander around. She lives just behind the junction and recommended Maharaja. But I only had the paper copy of my driver's license and when carded they refused to take it. Honestly, fine by me. What an ugly bar with way too much light and way too many people that look and remind me of high school. *shudder* We stepped back outside and to our left, across the street was Talarico's. I noticed it was located where New Luck Toy use to be and was curious. My friend said the service typically is weak but the pizza is tasty. We were greeted immediately upon entering and seated right away in this cool, boothed-alcove area with arches. The holiday decor was not obnoxious and our server was at the table right away. We ordered vodka crans. Mimi orders the Margherita slice and I order the Sinatra slice (sausage, shrooms, pepperoncinis). I get a slice of pepperoni and shrooms. Yes I like this too but I ordered the Sinatra. They have this fascinating concept that you not only can order any pizza by the slice but in fact you can build your own slice. I didn't have to wait for an entire pizza to be made and in 5 minutes I had the slice I craved. And good thing it was damn tasty or I would've been piiiiiiiiiiiiiiissed. And though we settled up our tab, our server (Rachele) was still friendly when we lingered, took pictures, had the server take pictures of us, and had a couple shots of tequila for the road. It was frakkin' cold and we were walking. The entire place is over 21 and I think that's pretty ballsy, especially in West Seattle. Stars for being rebels, that's for damn sure.

My friends were raving about this place as a great slice of New York style pizza... but given that I don't put a lot of stock in the "New York is the best, nobody else knows pizza" line of crap spouted by east coast elitists who think pizza is only about crust, I needed to taste this myself to see what the buzz was about. I'm glad I did... they were right and wrong. The pizza IS great, but not merely because of the New York style crust. Like all great pizzas, what I liked about Talarico's were the toppings. Forget about ham, you're getting prosciutto! Bell peppers, goat cheese... damn, if I didn't know better I'd swear this had all the makings of a west coast, California style pizza... it's almost as if I were in the middle of West Seattle... oh, wait, yeah... The gas fire pit was really cozy to sit around and enjoy happy hour drinks with a big ol' slice of pie. What an improvement from the cheesy karaoke chinese restaurant that used to be here.

Come get a huge slice of pizza!! And top it off with good friends while having a drink there. Love going to Talarico's for happy hour and having some rum and coke with a piece of pizza.

Went there last night with my girlfriend and had a good time. I liked the decor, though on closer inspection we noticed that it really didn't match too well. There were disco balls hanging next to some dragon style art and there were all sorts of different styles of chandeliers, but it still looked cool. My only problem with the design of the place was that they only had 2 TVs, one on each side of the bar. Unfortunately were I was seated you couldn't see at all, but it didn't really bother me as I was enjoying conversing with my GF. I ordered a nice big slice of the Sinatra, it had Spicy Sausage, Pepperoncini, Black Olives, Mozzarella & Marinara. The slice was nice and large and it tasted pretty good too. My GF decided to "build her own" and had Calamata Olives, Goat Cheese, Tomatoes, Jalapeños Mozzarella & Marinara, it looked tasty and she seemed to like it. We also enjoyed a couple drinks, some Manny's for me and a Session for the little lady. ;) Overall it was a nice dinner, great portions, good prices and a nice ambiance. Also our waitress was really friendly and quite attentive, refiling and checking in on us regularly. If you are in the area and looking for a huge slice of pizza then check this place out.

Woo WEE! In the mood for a slice of pizza bigger than your head, tastier than anything around, and cheaper then your venti vanilla latte with an add shot? Then this is your place, well actully it's MY place. Great atmosphere, great prices, and a great secrect drink called the Godfather, not on the menu but they'll make it if you ask for it, and it rocks! Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday have Karaoke so you can get your drunken sing on!

I'm from NYC. This is the best pizza I have found thus far in the the 2.5 years I've been in Seattle. Screw all the weird crap tho (goat cheese, pineapple, spinach!) on the slice. Peperoni is the only topping.

When I went to Talarico's, I didn't know what to expect. All I had heard is that they had huge slices of pizza, and that it was really good. I happened to go on Trivia Night, so it was a packed house. I didn't participate, but it was fun listening. I ordered their 14" slice, with smoked pepperoni. When it arrived, I was quite confused. What I saw was a thin, cheap looking slice of pizza. Upon my first bite, I discovered that it was quite the opposite. This had to be one of the best slices of pizza I had ever had. It was perfect. Not too much cheese, just enough pepperoni, perfect amount of sauce, and fantastic crust. I was full after, but it left me clawing my face for more. The only downside was the service. I understand it was a VERY busy night, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but after we got our food, we didn't see our waitress until we were asking for the bill. When she was coming around, she had a stack of about 6 bills in her hand. I don't believe it was simply poor services, but the fact that she was swamped. It really seemed like she was just way too busy and could have used some help with her tables. Overall though, this place is the tits. I would gladly come back here, even if the service was the same.

One of our favorite local spots. Consitently good hit-the-spot salad and pizza. Consistently good service - at least for us. Sad that it went kid-friendly recently, but we tend to get there later in the evening and don't have to put up with too many rugrats. I've also had several of their specials and have yet to be disapointed. Yay, Talarico's!

The service is usually quite good. The happy hour menu is quite adequate. Pizza is 'pretty good'. Nice crunchy crust but needs more salt in either the sauce or the crust. Lots of toppings and pretty big slices. Not a bad place to be on a rainy Friday evening.

Talarico's is a fast bite favorite of mine. Good pizza, good ambiance, good cocktails, and stellar wait staff. I'd only been there a few times when the bartender plopped my favorite cocktail right in front of me. She's good. I'll admit to liking that it's a bar and there's no kids allowed, but I think they are changing that until like 9pm or so.

Very overpriced. Good drinks and OK salads but the pizza seems like it's premade a cheese pizza the day before. Then they sprinkle sone toppings on and reheat it when you order. Bleh. Service is generally slow, often disinterested. Nice looking space but I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend given the West Seattle options.

Wow I hadn't been here since July and I caught the second string lineup from kitchen staff cause I was sadly disappointed how bad theire pizza became! They switched to cheap greasy peperoni and super salty ham. The mushrooms I got were only the stems and the crust tasted like crackers. It's bad when "I" don't finish my food but I just couldn't get it down. Service was great and the place is still cool joint but I used to think the pizza here was Da Bomb!!! I hope it was just an off night from their kitchen but for me it will be a while before I come back if i do at all.

The best GD Caesar salad I've had in this town. It was heavy on the garlic and they didn't skimp on the anchovy either, like any self-respecting Caesar salad SHOULD be. And their pizza? Yes, it's bigger than my head, but it's nice and thin and just plain delicious. The service was excellent as well. Our server was competent, quick, friendly, and was hot enough to be a Playboy model. Not that I am advocating this as a carreer choice for her, by any means!

WOW! The pizza slices are larger than most newborns! First time in was last night. Greeted and seated promptly in a nice, dark booth which was perfect for being cozy. Waters came out immediately and service was attentive. We were told slices were the way to go for two people since their 28" pie feeds 8 people (note to self, go back with a large group). We started with salads and even though I felt a bit high maintenance for asking if they could substitute romaine for the ice berg on the house salad, they gladly obliged. The dressing on the house was great. The half salad was huge, easily could be split by two people. BF went with the wedge salad which came complete with real bacon, not bits, but chunks of the real stuff. For our monstrous slices, the BF got the Coppola and I went with the Sinatra. Both good, both HUGE, but I preferred his with the oozing goat cheese, roasted red peppers and garlic. I felt the Sinatra had a bit too much sausage (yea I just said that). The crust was perfectly crisp on both slices, not greasy or soggy and that means a lot to me because next to the cheesy goodness, I heart crust. $4.95 for a pizza slice larger than a newborn seems like a pretty good freakin deal to me! Had wine with dinner, not an incredible selection, nor was I expecting one, but the Sangiovese was pretty solid. Interesting decor with a huge bar, fire pit table and a couple TVs showing the game...a cool neighborhood spot (or a nice drive for those of us who live in Seattle). People definitely weren't afraid to belly up to the bar to get their food and drink on. They have live music on Thursdays, the guy was setting up, but we didn't stick around to check it out so not sure if it was any good or not.

Fun place to have a drink with friends, but the bartender that night was too cool to be friendly or bothered to make another drink. The pizza was not good, the dough was cardboard like....but hey taste is individual, i am just use to a much better crust and altoghether a different style of pizza......

I am not sure about this place. It is very spacious inside with good music. The weekend had very attractive mixed race crowd and it was busy. The service was just o.k. but slooooow, no water refill, maybe get more staff if you have 70 customers in the place? I usually only have beer and the pizza was good, but I have eaten it 3 times now and I always have potty issues the next day. Nice flat t.v. screens. Dark mysterious lighting, good for an affair (meet in a back booth.) Some of the time there are drug dealer looking types there (Eiminem looking dudes.) Ever since there was a shooting outside I think I will steer clear. Maybe too rough and risky for me. If you try it out go late at night. ***UPDATE: I have been back twice because a different friend wanted to go there each time. All white people, and very local looking. I guess the pretty people were just there during that street fair evening. I like the decor but the crowd is the same people as ROCKSPORT around the corner. I still say slightly trashy, I will not make an effort to go, but will go if a friend drags me there.

If you don't make it in for happy hour expect to pay a lot for a huge pizza that is so so. I'd rather have a really good pizza that is moderate in size and priced right. Good vibe though, possibly a bit on the younger crowd side. The large open windows on a nice day is cool.

I have been to Talarico's twice. The service was extremely slow the second time around. Our waitress forgot drinks. Our appetizer (polenta item) arrived after our pizza. Now to the pizza..If you want tough inedible dough this is your place. My jaw was sore the next morning after attempting to eat two slices of that garbage. The sheer novelty of the slices size must be why they are so popular. Red Star right up 35th and Proletariat Pizza in White Center will save you a fortune and provide pizza you will actually enjoy

after getting defeated by the huge 28" pizza the first time, my buddy and i decided to give it another go. once again, we left defeated and once again, two slices were left. this time around though, i wasn't defeated by being too full, i was defeated this time from jaw fatigue. my last slice, it felt as though my jaw was about to cramp up and lock up.

Do I miss the New Luck Toy? There are plenty of slightly seedy late night joints to make up for the horrible karaoke that used to draw the crowd to the bar formerly know as New Luck Toy. Trust me I had a few nights of good old singing in that place. Talarico's really has a warm 'I can sit with my friends in a crowded lounge yet not feel overwhelmed' kind of place. High backed booths... that can be kind of uncomfortable, keeps the noise down and the low lighting keeps the atmosphere on course. Their bartenders know what they are doing and the drinks are reasonably priced, but you can't stop in without trying their amazing pizza. They use fresh ingredients and simple but VERY tasty combinations. No cheese in the crust, mass produced gimmicks here. Goat cheese and roasted red pepers...mmmm. They also have a fairly decent nightlife with dancing, karaoke and DJ's certain days of the week... so call or check out their website ahead if you are looking for something specific.

Awesome Pizza and Tuesdays they have Karaoke that is super fun! Great atmosphere and lots of fun people to talk to. They serve Pizza until 1AM so when you need a late nite FIX for a piece of pizza the size of your head, choose Talaricos! Build your own for like $5. I only wish it was closer to Downtown Seattle so I didn't have to drive as far. The Ballroom has the same pizza but the crowd at Talaricos is far better!

YUM! This place had some excellent pizza. I'd go for the slice at $5 a pop. My husband who can put down a large pizza at little Caesar's was able to put two down and was done so don't be tempted to get the whole pizza. It was really delicious. Crust was thin and the perfect with just the right blend of crisp and soft. The toppings were amazing. The place got busy and pizza took a bit, but salad tided us over. Also, service was friendly but not overbearing and refills was super consistent. What more can you ask. It was FANTASTIC!

Had a slice of the special: two headed monster and it was bland - spicy sausage tasted like plain ground beef - didn't eat most of it but the over the top server (Lindsay) didn't notice. Chop chop was ok . No reason to go back.

I prefer a less sweet tomato sauce on my pizza, so this didn't do it for me. Seemed like a nice enough place, though - and if you like big slices of kind of rubbery, pseudo-new york style pizza, you'll probably like it. Kind of weird that they won't do take-out, though (maybe this has changed since I visited). It's a pizza place. Put it in a box, let me pay for it and let me go. Odd.

You might think three dollars for a slice of pizza at happy hour is not that great of a deal. Think of what a two foot diameter pizza cut into 8 pieces would look like and you will have an idea of the girth of these bad boys. Thin crust, a little crispy on bottom, not too much sauce and a decent amount of toppings. I thought it was damn good and aparently so did Michael O. cause he ate his piece and then polished off what Mitzie couldnt!! They do movies on the two big bar televisions on Wedensday nights but that doesn't start till 10 pm. Will have to wait till I have a Thursday off till I can make one of those shows probably.

  • Nic B.

The pizza was perfect. I went with the Coppolla - thin crispy crust, perfect application of the toppings (red peppers, goat cheese, onions), huge, and unbeatable for $3 at happy hour. Drinks were good, service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I like this place a lot.

Not the best pizza but certainly the biggest! The pizza is really good though. There is also a kick ass happy hour, the decor is cool and in the summer the windows open! I like it b/c it is trendy without being too trendy.

The pizza was okay-ish, but the size was huge! I think we did a half Frank Sinatra and half Arugula something. The size overwhelms and impresses, but the taste doesn't. One of our friends thought it tasted like a $.99 Totino's pizza. The ambience was cool, but felt a bit weird. It may be the only pizza joint you can go to that looks like a haunted house on one side and an old Chinese restaurant in the other. Cooky, but it IS Seattle. In the end, it was a "different" experience, but may think twice about coming back. Oh yeah, what up with those "jail" plates?

  • John S.

This pizza here is fabulous!!! Very New York in crust and shape...thin and crispy crust, long and large slices, although not too NY in that they have lots of toppings. Don't order more than two slices - and I mean if you're HUNGRY! Only negative note, the first time we went into this place... service was TERRIBLE. If the ceasar salad and pizza hadn't been SO amazing... we would have NEVER come back. But since that first visit; our service has been great.

  • Pat M.

If you read the previous review I'm Plagiarizing a little...The light fixtures in relation to the TV's is so bothersome. Okay it's a small annoyance but one worth mentioning. The pizza at this place is tasty and the slices are huge. If size really does matter than this place is getting more play than Don Juan. The service at my first visit here was great. Food was timely made and served. Any place that mixes beer and pizza you gotta love. what else? I did like the overall vibe. I guess just a few more TV's and this place would've got 5 stars from me.

  • Emily D.

The food was pretty good and quite reasonable, atmosphere was good, but my service was much to be desired. The waitress basically forgot about us, never refilling drinks, and when she finally did come back messed up the drink order. We then had to flag down another server later much past drinks and food were gone for our bill.

    (3)
  • B B.

The pizza is just okay-sure a giant slice, but it's like they just make a generic cheese, cook it, and then throw the toppings on top. The ambiance is like a god awful meat market for former frat boys. The DJ plays the crappy music louder than any other bar I've been, so you really do have to shout in the ear of the person next to you. It's a bar/restaurant right? Not some wannabe club?? You can hear that crap several blocks away.

From the smoky ashes of the New Luck Toy arises Talarico's; a pizza bar/restaurant. This is large sliced, thin crust pizza for a good price. I'm a vegetarian so I've only had the margherita pizza (tomatoes, basil, mozarella) and can't speak for the other slices. It was a tasty slice with a crisp crust, very big, but also a bit salty. I'm more salt-sensitive than many people, but this seemed to be too much. The place itself is well-decorated and big; the tables are big, the bar is big, the space is big. There is a firepit somewhere in there and many places to sit or stand. A couple of flat-screened TV's above the bar will accomodate the sports watcher. It seems like a good place to meet a lot of friends. The gin and tonic I had was good, but I was discouraged that they serve neither Guinness nor Stella Artois. Most of the beer was local microbrews if I remember correctly. Perhaps the proudest I am of this place is when they replaced the New Luck Toy outside front wall of stucco concrete with large smoky windows that OPEN! Who says that Seattleites want to sit encaged in depressive enclosed darkness all the time!? These windows are great in the sunny weather because they open to let in a nice breeze and sunshine.

Talarico's is in my neighborhood. I used to live near a Pagliacci's By the Slice restaurant and despite my love/hate relationship with Pagliacci's, you just need pizza by the slice! So when this place opened in West Seattle I was so excited. The atmosphere looked great, dark and an open fireplace to sit at. I was hopeful. Then I had a slice, paid another visit and had a slice, and another visit and another, every visit feeling very disappointed, but it is the only slice option I had! The pizza is o.k. The slices are huge and made to order. But they lack flavor, the sauce is boring, the slice is boring. Then one night on whim, I order the spaghetti and meatballs. Hallelujah! It was delicious! Now my boyfriend faithfully orders the chicken parm every time and loves it, so my guess is to stick to the entrees. The meatballs were amazing. A little spicy and maybe the best I have had in Seattle. I was shocked to find such a basic dish be so great at a place that is all about pizza. So scrap your slice and go for the meatballs and you won't be disappointed.

I didn't eat pizza - the food was super medium but I didn't eat pizza. I don't have any interest in swaying you one way or the other on this place but I have to throw this out into the yelp-o-sphere. Has anyone been to this place and noticed how many incredibly ridiculous things were going on? I half felt that I'd fallen into an episode of candid camera 1. Portion size was out of control - a meat and cheese antipasto platter that had AT LEAST 3 full packages of Safeway "cured" meats and an entire jar of Olives - literally 37 olives rolling around on the top of the meat and a dessert that was plated on a plate that was larger than my entire torso - in my house it would have been the plate a roasted chicken would sit on. 2. Giant Dragon wood carvings on just one side of the room with plug in eyes 3. A fire pit just hanging out to the side where folks sit and have drinks? It made me laugh.

good food, good drinks, friendly staff, awesome low-key atmosphere, and live entertainment! the only thing that i don't like about the place is that they don't have manny's on tap. oof! minus one star. if you are ever in west-seattle and need a place to kick it for a bit, i highly recommend talarico's pizza.

  • John S.

First impression - pretty cool. Nice layout and decor, a couple of big plasmas over the bar, got seated straight-away in a smooth booth and service was johnny-on-the-spot. However, the devil's in the details and Talarico's screwed the pooch when it came to the details. Take the great plasmas - one on either side of the bar, great for viewing the game, unless of course you're seated in one of the booths where, regardless of where you sit there's a trendy pink light fixture hanging down in front of the screen. And we all thought the yellow line on the field was annoying, try a pink lampshade perpetually in the middle of the field! OK - moving on. Great choices for pizza by the slice or go big for the 28" monster pie. They've created some good standards or you can build your own. We tried a collection of slices w/a few mods compliments of our server. Three of the four slices we tried were really good (the pepperoni sucked - when all the other ingredients are so high quality why would you throw some Oh Boy Oberto crap pepperoni on it?) for about the first 5 - 10 minutes. These were big slices and took some time to devour. Unfortunately, before you could get halfway through a slice it was cold. Important details. Kudos to our server - very friendly and helpful. And if you go try the Fishtail rotator!
