Chill, friendly, great service, neighborhood bar. Busy 5 full tables and filled bar seats (16ppl) and bartender Justin killed it with great service at 8pm Sat night.

Tall Boy PBR's, Lamb Sliders and Sweet Potato Frys. Always a good time and friendly place. I miss Sully's! If you go tell them Taylor G sent you. It will be good for nothing but an awkward moment of confusion but I would appreciate it!

Housed in the former digs of Sapphire and Q is recently opened restaurant and bar called Sully's. It is a comfortable, classy, cozy and laid back place. I like the fact that it is open late and serves some tasty food (there aren't many places open past 10 p.m. on top of the hill). They do feature three flat panel televisions and I hear that it is a great place to watch games. On my first late night visit I had a spicy grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken breast was coated in a sambal bbq sauce and topped with red pepper aioli, lettuce, onion and tomato. I found the bun was a little too fluffy, though. It was accompanied with an apple salad with currants and almonds. Next time around I plan on trying the lamb sliders! I'll have to check out their happy hour sometime soon. Happy hour is served from 4p.m. - 7 p.m. and 11p.m. - 1a.m. daily. Most of the food specials run about $4-5 each and feature items like: Cajun shrimp, baked mac & cheese, sweet potato fries and hush puppies. Drink specials include mojitos and margaritas at $4 and $5 wells. I suppose if you are super cheap you can have a $2 PBR - you definitely won't be seeing me drinking that swill! Service is pretty awesome and the bartender kept me well hydrated! Stumbling distance home from here is short and that is a good thing! **This place is not affiliated with Sully's Snowgoose Saloon** UPDATE: 09/18/07 Tried the lamb sliders today and they were really damn good! They come three to a plate with coleslaw. The burgers are seasoned with a little salt and cumin. The mustard has a hint of cumin to it too. Very juicy!

I love Sully's. Exactly my kind of small, dark Irish bar. Loved the shepherd's pie, which the owner mentioned was his mother's recipe. I generally dont buy these types of claims from restauranteurs, but this dude seemed legit, and the dish was awesome. Great food, cold pints, and a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Possibly my favorite spot on Queen Anne. Good job Sully's.

I do love me some Sully's. Did you know there's a deck out back? Great little happy hour, they give you lots of food. I couldn't finish my bacon & cheddar jo jo's. There's always a seat when I go in. Prices are reasonable, the bar staff is friendly and when I get my beer tab it says I drank BUTT LIGHT. I always get a laugh when I leave. Great to have a neighborhood hangout.

Probably one of the best bars at the top of QA Hill. Pat & Marcus are two cool guys. They own and bartend the bar- so they care if you're happy/unhappy with your experience. They pour the best/strongest drinks in Seattle. Their wine list is good and the food is really good too. Lamb Sliders are a big win- and super cheap during happy hour. Go to Sully's. You will have a good time.

Because I believe that negative reviews are actually more important to write than positive ones, I promised myself that I would write one for this establishment if I ever signed up for Yelp, which I rely on so often. I was here back in January, and boy did these guys get it wrong. I was with a group of about eight, and we all were there for drinks and some appetizers. The beers were alright, but I remember that a friend of mine kept having a hard time trying to get our waiter's attention. Occasionally, the waiter would come by to check on us, but he would ignore one of my friends, almost intentionally it seemed, such that she actually had to go to the bar to ask for another drink. I left a poor tip as a result, and I'm not sure if they read my credit card receipt incorrectly or they just decided to bump up the tip at their own discretion, but I realized the mistake and called up Marcus to have it corrected a few days later. That was all good and fine. When I arrived to meet Marcus, he was not there, but the guy behind the counter seemed to know my story, and I was a bit unsure what that meant, as to whether it was a good thing or not. Apparently, Marcus had told the guy working that day about my case, and bartender had the audacity to try and humiliate me as I was leaving, making it seem like I was in the wrong coming in to reconcile the bill discrepancy. Here is basically what he said to those at the bar, "You see that guy leaving? He's the guy who came in *just* to claim a $X.XX tip..." He said this in such a derisive manner that rather than turning around to confront him, I simply vowed that I would take it upon myself to ensure that none of my friends ever visited this establishment again. At no point did I ever feel like the bartender was apologizing for the mistake, which was clearly their own. Great job, guys. That's exactly the approach that a businesses should take in order to win customers. If you make a mistake, the least you can do is own up to it.

Went here for Happy Hour with my sister. We walked in and were the only women in the bar, usually okay except that all these men were over fifty. Draft beers are not on happy hour lame. She ordered wine. Fine. We ordered the Lamb Sliders and the Chicken Quesadilla for dinner. The chicken tasted off in the quesadilla and the lamb sliders were just little nuggets of meat on bread, nothing else. Food was subpar. You can't fuck up beer and wine at least, but still, it wasn't great.

Every neighborhood has, or should have, a bar such as Sully's. Why? Mostly because it's a basic bar: a few booths, the bar and good sightlines to the TV. The menu looked interesting (especially the mini-hotdogs) although when I was here it was mostly for conversation and a few beers. Sully's is probably perfect for that. Didn't find it too loud and the bartender was efficient about bringing out new rounds as needed. They apparently have an all-sports TV policy which would explain the hefty guy-girl ratio when I was there. Single ladies take note.

I was here for St. Patrick's Day and while I had a great day all around I have to say I am not that impressed by Sully's. It's a small place, good food and good drinks. The staff was friendly enough. They seem to know their regulars well which I thought was pretty nice. Here is my biggest issue. I arrived after my friends, who were already drinking at the bar which was not crowded at all. I ordered a beer and they asked me if I wanted to start a tab. Pretty standard bar stuff. Here is where things got weird. We had been there for a long time and I figured it was probably time to settle up and see the damage that was done. I had the waitress bring me my check. the damage you ask? $250 and NO ITEMIZED RECEIPT! They had been charging me for my friends drinks even though they arrived at the bar before I did and even though I did not give ANY consent to do so. I asked the bartenders for an itemized reciept and we got it all sorted out. They told me upfront that because my friends were so hammered they didnt think they would pay so they put it on my card. This is not ok at all. It is their responsibility to make sure they know how drinks are getting paid for. And it should not have been that hard to get cards or cash from my friends especially when it was early in the day and there was hardly anyone else there yet. Of course checking my bank account a few days later the $250 has been charged to my account and not put back. However they gave me a reciept of the voided transaction so hopefully my bank and Sully's will get their act together and give me my money back. Also have to say that I understand St. Patty's is a super busy day. They had the same staff working all day and by late evening you could tell they were tired and pretty much over being there. The friendliness had dissapated by 9 pm. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because of the holiday but they should probably work out a shift strategy for next time.

Sigh. Very big let down going off the very positive reviews that drew us here after another HH fell through. Very empty on a Sunday afternoon, but that did not prevent the bartender from ignoring us the majority of the time. Clearly a few other tables with locals in the crowd at that time that seemed to draw most of his attention. Food was very subpar. Would expect much, much more for the prices. I don't think they are much of a deal, stimulus or not. Lamb sliders: not half bad, but little on the dry side and unimaginative Mac n' cheese: lacking on the cheese (minus the top layer that had a few slices melted onto it) and flavor. Not something you couldn't do better with at home Mini tacos: are you kidding me? If someone can prove to me that these are NOT Trader Joe's mini-tacos with a 1/4 lb of cheese melted on them, please, please do. Definitely not returning for food and can't see why this place would be a go-to spot for drinks with all the excellent bars in much more convenient locations around this city.

Quite the sausage fest they've got going on during their happy hour. I was the only female in there and you'd think I'd feel quite uncomfortable and out of place but I felt the opposite: relaxed, welcomed, and well taken care of. Our server was GREAT; very attentive, brought our beers to the table very quick-like, and always had a smile on his face. Plus I think he was slightly relieved to see a woman patron. Not that I'm eye candy or anything, but I think he was glad to see some diversity in there. Honestly, I wish I could've traded in my date. Space-wise Sully's is small and quaint which I actually like. Not enough quality beers on tap, I will admit. I'll definitely go back some time soon and try their food.

I've been to Sully's quite a few times and always enjoy the atmosphere. The bartenders are attentive and nice. And Taco Tuesdays are awesome! I still haven't tried their sweet potato fries.. but one day, I will.

This is the new "home" bar for my friends and I. I am a little miffed at myself for not coming to Sully's sooner. (I've only lived 1.5 blocks away for the last 4 years). This is the best little sleeper neighborhood bar where the locals and regulars alike trek to the top of the hill for. The bar is unpretentious and comfortable - almost like a down blanket including good drinks and better food. Let me tick off a few of my favorite foods here: * Mini Tacos - it is like nachos with meat stuffed in the chips * Mini corn dogs - 'nuff said * Taco Tuesday - 2 huge tasty tacos for $5, nuff said * Beef or Lamb sliders - meaty and juicy * Wings - got kick! * MAC & CHEESE - the sleeper hit. Watch out - it is only touted as "macaroni" on the HH menu. This wonderful bowl of goodness is both rich and light. Add some andouile (sp) sausage and it is pure heaven. * Wines - now I don't drink wine but my well-versed friends who do are all pleasantly surprised of the great house wines that Sully's serve. If it is any indication of its goodness, my friends drank the bar dry of the house red one night. In response to Tim H.'s assessment of the owners (btw - you are entitled to your opinion, and I respect that this is your experience. I just wanted to throw in my two cents *wink*: I agree Pat is one the nicest dudes you'd ever meet. But I disagree re: Marcus. If Pat is the warm and fuzzy Mac & Cheese; Marcus is more like the Lamb Sliders - meatier with a kick. But just as good.

I don't come here to eat, I come here for Boddington's on draught. The staff is awesome and attentive. It's got a good laid back vibe and great lighting. Just a good place to have a drink or 20 w/ friends or by yourself.

Rolled in here looking for late night food a little after midnight. There was very comfty bar chairs pointed towards giant TVs. Our group ordered the mini corn dogs, sweet potato fries, $2 Rainer tallboys, and a draft beer. All was good- especially the fries. The people next to us ordered the lamb sliders and macaroni & cheese- they looked REALLY good. Sully's had dark lighting with a mellow feel- resulting in a laid back vibe with low volume hairband and hard rock music piped in. FYI~ *The bartender had a sweet- I hanged with the band- story that entertained- ask him! *All day happy hour menu is $3-$5- This includes wells, Rainer, and food

I've been to Sully's dozens of times. I used to love it, but you know what they say "it only takes one bad experience". Sad, really:-( But I'm far happier to fund establishments that treat me like my money is just as good as everyone else's.

Having a neighborhood place like Sully's within walking distance makes living on Upper QA even cooler. Marcus, Pat, and the two ladies who are verrrrry closely associated with Marcus and Pat (if you get my drift *wink*) keep the place always feeling cozy and neighborhood-y. Well, one of them is kind of scary, but I'm not gonna say who. Taco Tuesday ROCKS. 2 tacos for $5. Lamb sliders are drippy deliciousness with a cumin kick. Tequila selection is impressive, and the wine selection is surprisingly astute. Yaaayyyy. Bonus points for carrying Pacifico. Viva!

Sully's was great. It is amazing that the two guys that own it also run it. We went there on a Saturday night for a party and the two of them were so on top of things. Our drinks were full the whole time and the atmosphere was really fun! Go to Sully's and you won't be disappointed.

Where's the charm Sully's? It's supposed to have the "Irish Pub" feel, a few Guinness posters don't make it "Irish"- for those interested in real pub experience I would skip Sully's purely for the lack of personality...however, if beer and catching a football game are the only things on your agenda then Sully's will deliver! Service was okay, beer selection solid, ambiance = strangely dark sports bar sans American beer neon signs and hot wings - but the game was on, so what gives!

A fine place to rest your barking dogs after climbing Queen Anne Hill and watch the Giants game on an ESPN wrap-up. Thanks for letting me hang out, folks.

Sully's is like your hooligan Irish uncle who would take the word "gastropub" and kick it in the groin just for being too sissy. They serve meat. In all its glorious forms. And beer. As frothy as the sea pounding upon the Giant's Causeway. And now a limerick: I went to Sully's for brew. I drank more than my due. To the tender I said, You've hurt my head. That's the end of my review.

We were here on a Tuesday night and there seemed to only be one person(bartender) working. We were at the bar top and the bartender didn't acknowledge us. I understand that he was busy and we were willing to wait, had he at least acknowledged that we were there. A simple, "I'll be right with you." would do. Instead he walked around doing his work as if we hadn't sat down at all. After 10 minutes of being ignored, we left. Thank you, not at all.

Marcus and Crew have done a PHENOMENAL job with such a small space. This little Queen Anne jem has what you need. It sort of has the secluded upscale Irish pub feel. In regards to the food, I have thoroughly enjoyed the Lamb Sliders and the HH Mac and Cheese with Andoullie Sausage. Both were just AMAZING. It was 4 of the Lamb Sliders that were cumin rubbed and had a little curry mayo on each one, in the center of the plate was a lil fennel cole slaw which the girl devoured in NO time. The Mac and Cheese in the Happy Hour portion was killer and a filler to say the least. A Huge bowl for 4 bucks...FTW??? I am sad they took the Bacon wrapped Meatloaf off the menu. I hope to see that make a return sometime. If your in the neighborhood or even if your not in the QA neighborhood, its worth a small trip to check this place.

Came here with my boyfriend several weeks ago. I had wanted to try this place out because the food on the menu looked tasty and the reviews on yelp were good. We were being gluttons and ordered the potato croquettes, home style macaroni with andouille sausage, lamb sliders, and the cheese steak sandwich. Add to that two beers and a hard cider and there were lots of leftovers. My favorite out of everything were the potato croquettes...creamy, cheesy goodness. The macaroni with andouille sausage was pretty good too. The lamb sliders were pretty interesting with the cumin spice and curry mayo. I didn't really try the cheese steak because my boyfriend ordered it with jalapenos. My tolerance for spice is low, so I opted to eat the other dishes. There was plenty to go around and take home. Service and ambiance was good. I was also impressed by the rotating heater located on the floor of the bathroom. I'm easily cold and thought this was a good addition.

Hey, this joint is great. After the hash the Triangle dudes made of Sapphire (stick to what you know when you buy a place), Sully's is a nice addition to QA. Cool layout, nice lighting, well poured Guinness, great owner (Marcus, who can also act as the bouncer if you get a little uppity....if so, best you leave quietly). Places like this and the cool people who run them deserve success. My gut feeling is Sully's will be around awhile.

My new favorite spot! Sully's. Where do i start? For such a small space, i've never felt crowded. Just comfortable. And i was there last night on St. Patty's Day! The fact that the bartenders own the place gives it an "I'm over at my buddy's house hanging out and drinking beer" type feel, but it's still a bit more upscale (than your typical bachelor pad, i'm saying). The sweet potato fries rocked my world. And my gal-pal devoured her chicken sandwich like she'd never eaten anything better in her life (which i'm assuming means it was really good). I am so psyched that Sully's is just a quick hike up the hill from me! Cheers, Marcus! Keep it up!

A nice addition to Queen Anne, with a cool looking outdoor urban (no view) patio. It's best to be at a table to enjoy this place, it's kind of awkward standing up/around the bar. And that's what it is, a bar, good drinks, I'm sure the food is fine. Glad it's there when you need to stop in for a drink. Sully's kind of left me feeling a lot like this review has left you, if you got this far. Nothing too special.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G So went here last night for just drinks and ended up having dinner as well. I had the Mac and Cheese. By far the best I have ever had. It was very rich and creamy. The portion was a good size and I got through a third of it and was full. I forced myself to eat a little more just because the flavors were amazing. My date had the BLT and he did say it was the best he had ever had, Also said that most the time sandwiches don't feel him up and this one did. I didn't try it but it did look really good and the vegetables looked fresh. They have a smaller menu but it seems to have something for everyone. The wine selection is good as well. There beers and liqueurs were pretty extensive as well. I cant wait to go back to sit on the back patio that I hear is amazing in the summer.

12 mini corndogs, 3 lamb sliders and 3 PBR Tallboys for $17. Awesome happy hour dinner for 2 single girls who love corndogs. I don't know taht I would go there if I wanted an actual great meal and good beer. But the corndogs & sliders are delish, and cheap, it's clean and the waitstaff is nice. It was exactly what I wanted on that day.

I love Sully's and the people there! But first let me just say, TACO TUESDAYS is bomb!! Love it! And let's not forget their buffalo wings either. Those are finger licking good! This is my neighborhood bar where I can watch the game or catch up with friends. The people are great and it's always good times.

I kinda feel bad for this place. It seems like it's changing it's name ever 6 months to a year. I'm not sure if it's same ownership or not, but it always seems to be struggling. You would think that the location would be good - next to Blockbuster and Seven Eleven on Queen Anne Ave, but it's never packed when I go in there. Actually tonight when I met some friends for a drink, it was actually the fullest I had seen it. It's actually a pretty nice place. There's a decent wine list. They serve food, of which, what I've had has been tasty. Maybe we need to have an event here so that people can find out about it. I hate seeing it change it's name....

It's a sweet little spot. We know the owner and he definately sweeps in a great crowd and has a super lineup of bevs and food. I have yet to eat the food, but I have rumors of it being pretty darn tasty. The atmosphere is perfect- fun, laid back, not too crazy. It's quite spacious for a smaller place, too. He did a great job with this joint!

I don't know if I just catch this place on good nights, or my friends and I just have that appeal, but EVERY TIME I have gone to Sully's the bartenders have been super attentive. My drink NEVER goes dry--and I'm a fast-pace kinda gal. Love this place. They pour them heavy and delicious. I have, on occasion, asked for some pretty crazy combination shots, and the bartenders know EXACTLY what drink I'm thinking of. Well done. Good weeknight kinda place.

To be honest I was already pretty leathered by the time we entered Sully's, but what I remember was a chummy, but relaxing wine bar that felt like the inside of a limo. Maybe it was the fact that I was swimming microbrew laps in my head, but a glass of Tomero Malbec was hitting the spot, over and over ... and over again. I wanted to order something, but felt that the gorgeous menu would be wasted on my destroyed palate, but please beleive they have some culinary pub-grub masterpieces in here. This will be on the short list of places to return when visiting Seattle again.

Still lovin it. Fishbowl-o-wine. A++! Wish there were one or 2 healthier options on the menu. Sometimes I'm hungry when I'm there but don't want to eat away all the benefits of recent physical activity.. why not just drink it instead.

Stopped in last weekend to grab a drink before our dinner reservations down the street so I STILL can't comment on the food, but I really like this QA bar...JP even said he wished we had something similar in our neighborhood. They have an interesting selection of beers on draft and my wine pour was HUGE! Cool atmosphere, good group of people hanging out. Now all I need to do is go back to try the food at some point!

Oh, Sully's, your fries are too good to be true. Steak fries that are always piping hot with the perfect seasoning and that dipping sauce...oh, they are just too good. Not to mention Wednesday nights you can get a $2 PBR tall boy, some excellent trivia read by an entertaining Irishman, and a plate of mouth watering nachos for $7 that can easily feed a crew of people. Sold.

This little bar/resto at the top of Queen Anne is very very friendly. The owner works behind the bar and is chatty, but not too chatty. It seems more like a guy bar to me, but that could be just random. I have been here twice, and I had a fabulous time each time. The fries here are yum. I have not tried anything else. Of course the parking is difficult unless you go there late. I would give this place a try--friendly, non-pretentious, good drinks.

This is a great spot! Service was quick and all the employees were friendly and entertaining. The food was awesome. I ordered the lamb sliders...amazing, the Yam fries...a personal favorite and the mac and cheese. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and they used the space well. All and all great spot.

I headed up the mountain after work to kill time at El Diablo before meeting my mother for a movie and I scoped this place out on the walk from the bus stop. When my mother arrived we both decided to bag the movie and just get some food instead. How to Cook a Wolf was closed for a private party, so I said "I saw this pub..." and there we were. Prices are really good. I went in expecting small plates but, sure enough, the $8 salmon salad, $10 fancy burger and sweet potato fries, and $5 potato croquettes ($7 after 6) were so much food we couldn't finish it all. I think their deal is to sucker you in with cheap food so that you'll order more of their expensive drinks on the side. And, hey, the cheap food was pretty good. The burger is pleasantly spicy and went perfectly with my Mac & Jack's. My mother enjoyed her salad, but the high point was definitely the croquettes, which are probably best described as mashed potatoes breaded and deep-fried. I mean this in the best possible way. The menu is mostly high-concept pub standards and low-concept pub prices, and we were both pretty happy with the results. We were also both impressed with the size of my mother's glass of wine - if you are a wino who likes pub food, this is definitely worth the trip. The atmosphere wasn't really my thing - it's loud and everyone else seemed richer and better-looking than me - but Sully's fits the bill nicely for a quick bite and a beer on top of Queen Anne. A good 4-star dining experience: not worth a drive across town, but certainly worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood and are hungry and/or thirsty.

If you are a displaced western New Yorker that's looking for Bills games this is your place to go. There are only 3 TV's, but the Bills will be on one of them. This is a nice, clean, little bar. Service is always friendly and quick. Shots are big and bought often by all the mourning Bills fans in there on Sundays. Also, the breakfasts are really good, the Burrito is huge. And make sure you try the mini corn dogs.

  • Austin R.

The owners run the place and one of them is a dick. Make sure you let them know 3 times you don't like onions on your salad or you will get a look of disgust for them having to take it back. Maybe the dude was having a bad day, but he was mean-mugging everyone that came in. It's too bad too, because the place is cool inside. Don't waste your time. Go to Paragon or Peso's.

Sully's provided me with great service last Friday. The shorter bartender was very attentive. Overall, the bar had a great atmosphere for a Friday. It was a little bit too loud for good conversation, but I don't mind yelling over a couple of Guinness and shots of JameO. Bacon/cheese fries are awesome bar food to soak up the brewskys.

cool spot to hangout and grab a drink. happy hour food is pretty good too, especially the lamb sliders! bartenders are very friendly. there is an awesome electronic clock that is continuously counting down the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the next ST. Patricks Day!

It's four stars but Austin is right, one of the owners is a dick. It's too bad because the other owner, Pat, is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. After I went in one time Pat knew who I was and I've been treated like a long time regular ever since (until he figures out that I called his partner a dick anyway). He always makes sure you've got a drink if you want one, he makes a real solid cocktail and pours a tall glass of wine. He's always friendly and happy to see me and the wife every time we step in the bar. The other guy, it seems like it really pains him to be there. He'll get you a drink but you're not going to get any friendly banter out of him. It's like two completely different bars depending on who's working. If the first time I went in there he was behind the bar I wouldn't have ever come back. That being said the cheap eats and tall boys are great, however if you get into drinking pints and wine the bill will add up quick. I don't mind it when I'm there having a good time but when Mr. Grumpy is behind the bar I get a little salty picking up a $50 tab.

I love sliders (and lamb); and they have great lamb sliders! I also love fries; and they have great sweet potato fries--Things I love, but not in the typical way! The mac and cheese is also a must have. They have a great malbec, by the glass, that the bartender/server recommended. Well done bartender/server! I'll be back for more!

I like this place. Good eats, good people, good times. I always try to stop by for a visit when I'm in Seattle.

My first and only time to Sully's was for a joint birthday party, where my friends rented out the space for the evening. It was the perfect size for a private party, with an even distribution of booths, bar stools, and standing room. The low lighting, stiff drinks, and substantial elbow room allowed people to mingle and chat comfortably, though the music was a little loud, shouting to talk to someone 2 feet from you never makes for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I'm interested to see if this place is equally fun on an average night, but I foresee a good time.

I have very mixed feelings on Sully's food. I ADORE their sweet potato fries and loved the pulled pork sliders they had on special one night. However I could have had 10 times better pasta primavera from the frozen food section of the grocery store then what I had at Sully's. The baked macaroni was not to fantastic either but not terrible like the other bowl of 13.95 pasta. So if your looking for a delicious meal out I probably would not take the chance at the place. But if your already having a drink and get hungry maybe take your chances on an order of food. I have heard the sandwiches and burgers are great! The bartenders working own the place and give off a great vibe and make some great and strong drinks. I would never drive across town to go here but if it's located in your backyard like me then it's a nice place to have a cocktail or glass of wine.

i've been here once for their taco tuesday. best gringo tacos i've ever had. and i mean that as a 100% compliment... the service? extremely slow, and not so attentive. whatev. these tacos are absolutely delicious and huge and you get two for $5.

Cheese Steak in Seattle! And on Queen Anne! We stopped in here for a late lunch after being skunked by the 5 Spot (not open on a Friday? Typical.) We sat at the bar and were turned onto the cheese steak by the guys sitting next to us, who were fiddling with the direct tv remote trying to pick which sporting event to show next on the center of three flat screen tvs. Taking their advice we were treated to the best cheese steak we've had west of the Rockies. We also had the baked mac and cheese, which was soooo melty creamy with the right amount of crunch from a perfect sprinkling of bread crumbs. This makes two upper Queen Anne spots that we've loved in less than a month - and that's after two years of living on the hill. If you dig sports and a couple of (mostly) Irish dudes who can execute on their dream of opening a spot with yummy food for folks who love to watch and talk sports to gather, then you MUST check out Sully's. Cheers!

i stopped into sully's on a thursday around 12:15am to buy a round of shots for my friends. i ordered kamikaze shots, which are pretty easy to make, in my opinion. the bartender made the 4 shots, which we took. i immediately complained to my friends that they didn't taste like a kamikaze, they tasted like pure sugar! Not to mention i couldn't even tell if there was any vodka in them. they all agreed with me. i closed my tab, tipping only $3 for the 4 shots that tasted awful. apparently i was talking loudly and the bartender, Pat, overheard me. oh, my goodness!!! he does NOT take criticism well. he yelled at me & kicked all of us out of the bar. i asked if he was joking and he said no, get out! on top of the bad shots and Pat's attitude problem, when the tab cleared my checking account.... he entered $10 for the tip... when i know i only tipped him $3!!! Can you say, illegal??!! I will NEVER recommend Sully's, in fact I've already told many friends about this story. You will not see any of us in this bar again! Sorry Pat, but the customer is always right!

We come here every Wednesday before and after our kickball game. Kelly, the bartender is always super quick and efficient. The drinks are cheap, beers on tap are $5. They usually have a good variety of beers on tap, but not a huge selection. Bingo on Wednesdays are fun, you get a free beer or a prize if you win! The food is pretty standard bar grub, nothing to rave about. There's a back deck that's heated when it's cold out so that's nice. They seem to always be out of fireball but other than that I've always had a good time here!

Decent place to hang out, either in the booth or at the bar. Its dark interior & atmosphere doesn't feel intimate, trendy, or cool. It's just a dark sports bar. There are a few TVs throughout the small establishment playing different things. $5 curry fries were greasy but good for sharing and the sauce was unexpectedly creamy.

First time Yelper here and glad to give Sully's my first review! This place is really awesome. It's got a great menu that won't break the bank with your traditional pub food and snacks. They have excellent lamb sliders and fish and chips, and the people that work here are really attentive and polite. This is definitely the place to go to after work with friends. Looking to make this place my go to pub!

Sully's is the best! We just held a surprise birthday party for a friend on Saturday night, and they were so accommodating! They let us bring in our own decorations and arrange the front space however we wanted. We ordered a bunch of food and they staggered bringing it out and kept replenishing it all night. They were so friendly and fun to all our guests - they were a welcome part of the party! The food was great - we had irish nachos, quesadillas, lamb sliders, wings, mini tacos and mini corndogs. It was the perfect snacking pub food for our guests. The owners/bartenders were so attentive to us, and I personally loved that as soon as the birthday girl arrived for the surprise, they turned up the music and got the party going. It was also great to have March Madness basketball on, which they switched the sound on during the final minutes. Thanks, Sully's, for helping us throw such an amazing party! Shout out to Marcus who was amazing to work with!

Last call at midnight on a Friday? Hadn't seen this particular bartender before, she was rude. There were a couple of other groups in the bar when we walked in & ordered a beer. The place emptied out fairly quickly & she walked up & said "just so you know, you have ten minutes" It wouldn't have bothered me if she was slightly more personable or had bothered to tell us when we walked in that she was planning on closing early. Although I get the impression she wasn't planning on closing early, but when everyone else left she decided we weren't worth staying open for.

Bingo Wednesday night! Woot woot! I don't remember when was the last time I even played Bingo. It is a game not only for senior folks especially during the speedy Bingo round. I felt like I aged a good 5 years after that round from the stress of trying to get all the numbers. All in all it was pretty neat little place for drinks, a meal, and Bingo fun. You can't beat that on a Wednesday. The crowd was good and the place was nice. Love to come back during other nights as well.

Stopped in to this place while waiting for a pizza to be made next door at Zaw. We were from out of town and it looked like a nice neighborhood bar. Place was warm, friendly, and very reasonable. After paying $10 for drinks downtown Seattle, it was great to get a nice cocktail at a fair price. Bar tended was great. He made sure we had what we needed and checked back multiple times all while keeping all the other patrons happy. We told our friend who we were visiting to check it out.

Very nice bar in a fantastic location. We went in on a Saturday morning to watch our alma mater in a college bowl game and were very impressed with our whole experience. The bartender was extremely friendly and attentive, lots of space to sit and watch the game, and great drinks! My Bloody Mary was very hearty and beers were refreshing. We'll definitely be back to watch another game. Their mini corn dogs are legit.

Sully's Lounge has that great small community feeling to it, despite being located in a very busy market of Seattle. The staff at Sully's is friendly, personable and welcoming. The food prices are very reasonable, the food is fantastic and the menu variety for a lounge is very impressive. Drinks are made strong and for a competitive price. The location has a great vibe and there is free bingo on Wednesday nights. This is one small business that clearly knows how to treat their customers and has owners who simply go above and beyond to run a fantastic establishment. Thanks Sully's for having a great establishment in Queen Anne!

Sully's a great spot to stop for a beer and some bar food while you're walking around Queen Anne. The restaurant is small so finding seats can be tough on busier days (like Sundays during the Hawks game). But the size makes it feel more welcoming and it's clear that this place survives because of the regulars who love it so much. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try as much food as I wanted so I'm hoping to come back soon and get a taste!

I only wish we had a place like Sully's in my neighborhood! It is the quintessential low-key, unpretentious neighborhood pub, with friendly service, games on the TV, my favorite Mac n Jack on tap (big kudos for that) and very reasonably priced food. Yes, it's typical pub food, but very good considering the low price. We were stoked to come across this place on the top of Queen Anne Hill, and we will be back for sure!

*Service was forced, it was like she wanted to be warm and fuzzy, maybe, no, not really, just get you your drinks and be done, got there at 5:59pm, I can't make this up, asked her for HH at 6:04 when she finally came over and was told "sorry" *Their wings suck, they really do, just not good at all, even for $5 they sucked *I like the vibe and the sports bar feel and it's def a local joint so thumbs up there

A lot of self-styled, Irishy pubs like to pretend they're places where anyone can go and feel right at home, but Sully's is the first place where that actually rang true. The bartender handled a happy hour crowd AND stayed good-natured. No attitude. No douchery. Just a decent guy. My bf and I shared the chips and salsa and the lamb sliders. Both dishes were way tastier than they had any right to be at such decent prices. And the booths are dark and private without feeling isolated.

I was only in Seattle for about 24 hours but before leaving wanted to find a spot to watch the USA play Portugal. We came just at the right time to get two seats at the bar, there are a few booths but they were occupied. The place isn't huge but it did seem like there was an out back people were running drinks out to. Anyway the food is what you would expect - good basic bar food. I thought the portions were pretty great for the price. What really impressed me was the service. Our bartender was super efficient and managed to take care of everyone in the place with the equal amount of attention. Job well done ! A place's service can a lot of times be the most important part of the experience and this guy was awesome. So go to sullys to watch a game, eat, drink and be merry with no b.s.

A very pleasant laid back irish /sports bar. Server was friendly and attentive. The music seemed to be a radio station with commercials which was odd but the music it played was nice so its all good.

I gotta tell ya... I love this place! I'm fairly new to town and have been looking for my new bar to hang out at. Well... I've found it! Marcus and Kelly rock- They're great... they really take care of you. Bingo on Wednesday is great too! Pirate rocks!

The staff here is good and make good drinks and have a decent selection of beers. The price here is pretty good compared to some others close by. I have never ordered food here so I can't speak on that. It's a pretty small bar so it can feel crowded pretty quickly.

Went here for the wings, they are very good. Service was also good when I went, but it wasn't very busy each time I went, so maybe that has something to do with it, and the negative comments about the service, I'm not sure, could be.

A friend and I went by tonight to try this place out (using a small Groupon deal). The food and wine were OK, but the service was barely civil. Perhaps being a couple of women in our 50s/60s we were viewed as being boring, old or poor tippers. In any event, we finished our wine, wedge salads and sweet potato fries, but likely won't return. I guess we didn't know the secret handshake.

A favorite in Seattle to catch a game (or two), especially during the NFL season. Good pours, crowd that's happy to talk to "new" people vs just regulars, and those mini corn dogs make a strangely good meal at 10am. Nice departure from the standard sports bars in town.

pros: cheap kokanee/pbr tallboys, HEAVY-handed pours cons: hit or miss service, low-quality food lived around the block from this place for 3 years and for a place that likes to think of themselves as the "local" place never really warmed up to a new face. here's how i was treated: exhibit (A): last season i came in to watch the giants game. there are three TVs, the big one in the middle showing the 'hawks (duh) and the two side ones have the pats. i ask the bartender to put on the giants game and he flatly says no. i point out that two TVs have the same game on (thus assuming that he could figure out that one TV is therefore superfluous), but he doesnt budge. then another patron backs me up and announces that he can watch the other TV (by turning his head all of 30 degrees). the bartender relents. i thank the patron and remind myself to write this overdue review. exhibit (B): for a MNF game, i saddle up to the bar. the patrons are spaced one chair apart from each other with three empty chairs in the middle of the bar, so i take the second (middle) one, as if they were urinals or seats on the bus. (not that i'm scared of talking to strangers in a bar, but i assume that noone wants their privacy invaded until we hit a certain critical density.) at halftime i place coasters on my water and my beer and go to drain the bladder. when i return the same bartender has moved my drinks over a seat to make two together for the owners who have arrived. when i approach he tells me this by way of explanation, probably responding to the stunned look on my face. the owners grab their drinks and head to a booth anyway. i sarcastically ask if i'm allowed to take my seat back, and do. not hard to see the message here from the service on multiple occasions. the other bartender is cool, though.

Stopped in Sullys on Friday January 13th, 2012 - around 1 AM give or take. Cute blonde bartender - took our order and was always there to ensure our drinks were full. The bartender even tried to help two gentleman were trying to pick up two gals across the bar with limited success. It was pretty obvious to most the gals weren't interested - but at least the bartender played along. Great place to end the night. On a side note, bathroom was quite clean.

I love this place...great food, drinks, people. Awesome place for locals. I usually find the owner behind the bar, which I love. He really takes care of you! Last winter, as we sat and watched Thursday night football..it started to snow. It was freezing outside and what's this, I don't have a scarf! I'll catch my death! The bartender overheard me, went to the lost and found box and grabbed me a scarf and told me I could have it. He said it had been there forever. Um. It was a black CASMIRE scarf. Thanks to whomever lost that but it's mine now. That thoughtful act has me going back to this place when I'm in the area.

I love this little place! It's local-family owned and cozy. All day happy hour every day-can't really beat that! Also good for watching sports, hanging out and chatting, etc. It's kinda dark in there-but nice if you aren't super dressy :) Ma's corned beef sandwich is delicious! I also saw there is a back patio for the summer so we will definitely be coming here in the summer months (if they ever come!)
