I want to give this Romio's one star, but the pizza itself isn't bad. They're one of two places near me (that I'm aware of) that'll make a pizza with vegan cheese, which is great for me, so I keep ordering from them like a total idiot hoping the service gets better. My most recent order will definitely be my LAST order. I placed an order for a small pizza via Eat24 around 1pm on a Friday. This place is a mile from my house. After waiting 75 minutes, I started calling them. They repeatedly told me the driver was on his way and would be there "within minutes" and assured me the pizza would still be hot. They gave various excuses including some kind of game causing traffic (we're nowhere near any stadiums, so?) and being short on delivery drivers. At the two hour mark, I finally got a lukewarm pizza with dried out cheese and 50% off my order. This is the longest I've waited, but it's not unusual for me to get a delivery estimate of an hour and wait 20-30 minutes beyond that with no explanation. I also tend to order around lunch or in late afternoon when there shouldn't be an insane rush for deliveries, but it doesn't seem to matter when I order. It's always late. Not worth it.

We made an order through Seamless.com for delivery from this Romio's restaurant. - Romio's showed up 15 minutes late - They did not include plastic utensils, napkins, etc. (as requested) - They brought Sierra Mist instead of Sprite No, it's not the end of the world to drink Sierra Mist instead of Sprite, the point is that they should have called if they don't have what was ordered to confirm whether or not the alternative was acceptable. It is, however, ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE to be 15 minutes late to a 40-person work meeting. It means holding up 40-employees, wasting lots of company time (and therefore money) and by the time the administrative assistant scrambled to find utensils/plates/etc. they had wasted over 20 minutes of 40+ people's time. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS ROMIO'S.

Previously been to Romios in Lake City - and LOVED their pizza and especially their caesar salad. Tried Romios in Denny Triangle - ordered and delivered through grub hub - pizza was supposed to have veggies, paid extra for onions - received a pizza that had hardly any veggies - no onions - and sadly chewy crust. Caesar was still good but warm because they put it in the hot bag with the pizza - not sure I'll return to this Romios :(

This review is for delivery only. I have never eaten in the restaurant but have ordered delivery many times. The good: The prices are reasonable. The delivery time is usually under 45 minutes. The portions are a good size. Food tastes good. Love the Shrimp Fettuccine. The bad: I don't think there is such thing as healthy pizza, I wish I lived in that world, but this pizza is about as greasy as it comes. First off, it tastes great, grease or not, but I lost my appetite when I performed the paper towel test. Just picking up a slice and letting it hang vertically accumulated a large pool of orange goo in a matter of seconds.

My husband and I were not disappointed at all! The pizza is good. The pasta is great & the calzones are excellent!! The portions are plentiful and delivery is quick. We ordered from this restaurant despite some of the bad reviews and were damn glad we did! The ONLY complaint I had was that they only give you one pack of peppers and one pack of cheese with your pie but other than that next time I find myself in Seattle I'd defiantly order from here again.

We came in from Reno and loved the our experience and the food I highly recommend it to any one who wants good pizza or pasta. Tina was amazing as well she took care of our every need.

I honestly have no idea why this place has any bad reviews. My boyfriend and I come here often, and sometimes bring friends. We keep coming back because it's one of our favorite pizza places in Seattle. My boyfriend's favorite is the puttanesca pizza and he says it's "so good I want to cry". The pizzas have always been consistently excellent, and the sauce is especially delicious. I wish I remembered the name of our server the most recent time. He sometimes wears his hair in a ponytail? Anyway, he let us in when it was almost closing time and churned out 4 pizzas for us and our friends and was incredibly sweet about it even though we were right on the line of being too late. He is such a treasure. We'll be coming back as we always do. We're getting our first delivery order tonight :) UPDATE: We ordered 2 pizzas and the estimated delivery time was 50 minutes. It took an hour, but I really didn't mind the extra 10 min wait time because the pizza was so good! It tasted just as hot and fresh when it arrived as it normally does in-store. Very satisfied. Thank you Romio's!

We used to order from here a lot, not necessarily because the pizza was fantastic, but because it was cheap, quickly delivered and hassle free. We will never order from here again after our experience tonight. We ordered a large pizza (via Eat 24) and got a medium (though it looked small to me). No big deal, I called the restaurant to let them know what was up. I was met with rudeness on top of rudeness. Not wanting to deal with it any longer, I called Eat 24 so they could confirm what I ordered in the hopes that I could at least be paid the difference and get an apology for the poor customer service I got. Apparently Eat 24 was met with the same mean person that worked there because they got tired of dealing with him as well. At least Eat 24 offered us a credit for the order that was wrong, even though it was of no fault of their own. I have worked in tons of customer service jobs, and even if I was having a bad day I would never be rude to some one like that. And I am not the kind of person to try and complain just to try and score free food etc. I just wanted to bring a mix up to their attention and possibly get a few bucks back.. way to lose a customer you had for years Romios.

We love the locations in Idaho! I was extremely happy to know that I lived so close to a Romios... Until now. The pizza? Absolutely love it. I wish I could write a review only of the pizza, however, after today's experience, this was the worst food I have ever ate. We ordered salads to start. Mine had over ripe tomatoes and huge chunks of brown lettuce pieces. I still ate it, it was still edible in my book! Mozzarella sticks came next. They were white and grey and didn't display the crunchy goodness that is associated with the deep fried appetizer. We took a bite and it was raw and doughy. Tasted like it was in the microwave. They were completely inedible. I asked the server if she could crisp them up, she was pretty rude when she grabbed the plate and walked away. Next, was my burger and fries. Burger? I smacked the bun and it made a loud thud! Old, stale bread. The patty was burnt to a crisp. The cheese wasn't melted and was still hard. I took 2 bites and couldn't take another. My girlfriend ordered the submarine sandwich. The bread was soggy and wet on the inside, the cheese was half melted and the onions were raw, on a baked sandwich!!! The fries tasted like they were baked in the oven with no salt, there was absolutely no taste. At first, I thought I was being picky. I switched foods with my girlfriend to see. Nope! Both foods were inedible to human garbage disposals. I saw the mozzarella sticks return, I was excited because I was so hungry and thought they were my saving grace. They returned and were... Raw and doughy. Completely inedible and the most disgusting thing I ever put in my mouth. It seemed like they took frozen mozzarella sticks out of the freezer, let them thaw out, and zapped them in the microwave. There was a layer of water between the crust and the cheese! Nobody came by and asked about our experience. Nobody asked anything about our meal. At the end, the waitress asked if we wanted a box. We laughed! Our entire table was covered in food and nothing was touched! Terrible service, really terrible food. Only get the pizza at the restaurant.

This is a review of dinner delivery from Romio's Pizza & Pasta in Seattle. It is easy to order via Grubhub.com . The delivery is free. At $12, the minimum order is relatively low. Their delivery was pretty quick. It came in about forty minutes..The delivery person was professional and polite. Italian Sausage, Canadian Bacon, and Mushroom Pizza (Large/15in) - This was a good pizza. The Italian Sausage was very tasty. The Canadian bacon was a touch on the bland side. The crust could have been a tad more crisp but it had the nice flavour of yeast. The most significant negative though was the pizza simply wasn't hot. We also had cheese bread and garlic bread. The cheese bread was much better than the garlic bread. The garlic bread was very dry and the bread itself had little flavour. There was just the strong overpowering flavour of garlic. tinyurl.com/qhopffw tinyurl.com/p8mjobd Overall - This is an ok option for pizza delivery in the downtown Seattle area. Certainly, if you are sitting around watching some football and jonesing for some pizza, Romio's will fill you up and get you through the game.

Ordered the low carb Mexican dish and piece of chocolate caramel cake for pickup and they were both awesome! Very quick pick up, hot and delicious. But make sure you ask for plasticware because they didn't include any so thank goodness i asked before i left. The dish also came with soup or salad, i chose the latter and it was great and very fresh. Total = $21.00. A+++ for the food. The atmosphere inside looked clean and they have a small four-seater bar in there if one wants a quick nightcap. Good job!

I place an online delivery order for a business lunch consisting of a few pizzas and cheesebread with drinks. The delivery guy was right on time. He had everything in great condition. My work location is sometimes confusing for delivery people but this guy had zero issues. Right on. The team reported that the food was outstanding. When I set it up for them, I saw that everything was piping hot and the pizzas were labeled exactly as I had asked them to be. Another bonus that many restaurants don't offer that is needed when you are feeding a crowd with different dietary needs. I'll definitely be ordering from Romio's again for work and also for myself. Food: 5 Service: 5

Romio's is an average pizza restaurant at best in an area of town with many other options. The only good thing about Romio's is the lunch buffet where they serve an all you can eat pizza and salad buffet for about $10. The pizza and salad are not amazing, but when its all you can eat, you can expect much. Their regular pies (non lunch buffet) are nothing more than average. They have lots of different unique types of toppings to try, including a gyro pizza and bbq pizza. The service is good, but they need to replace the table clothes after every guest. When we ate at Romio's, the waitress told us to sit at whatever table we want, and we had trouble finding a table without a dirty table cloth. I think i've mentioned this in other reviews, but I have yet to find a pizza place in downtown better than Rocco's.

I have had pizza from here twice and I will not be going back for a third. Both times I had it, it was delivered, so I don't know what it's like inside or even what the staff is like. I can only review the pizza... and... well, it's crap. There is hardly any sauce, the crust is tasteless and tastes cheap, the vegetables are okay... but if you ask for vegan cheese, apparently you get tomatoes. It is just an extremely unsatisfying pizza. Getting just bread with veggies on it might work at some high-end restaurants with a skilled kitchen staff, but this pizza joint can't pull it off. Learn to make pizza. Next time I will just make my own... this was not worth the saved time. Ridiculously expensive for not really getting a pizza. Edit: I was given a voucher for a free pizza for next time, but I'm really not sure there will be a next time. I'm not sure I want to bother with "three strikes, you're out." Updated to two stars because of how quickly the turnaround on the voucher was...

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands-down my worst online ordering experience. I ordered through eat24 and the order was sent to the downtown store. At 1 hour and 20 minutes, I spoke with the downtown store, who told me they sent the order to the Eastlake store. I called the Eastlake store and was told that there had been something wrong with the order and they were sending it out at that moment. I called again at 1 hour and 45 minutes and was told there had been something else wrong with the order, and it would arrive in seven minutes (I live about 10 minutes from the Eastlake store). I finally got the order at a bit past 2 hours. The person I spoke with on the phone at Eastlake offered no remedy and told me to speak with the driver (!) about what had happened. The driver was impolite, argumentative and ill-informed. I ordered the low-carb Eggplant/Chicken Parm (sans pasta). The driver reiterated that there was something wrong with the order so they had to remake it: he said it was a sandwich, then said they had forgotten to add pasta. He didn't seem to understand that there was a no-pasta option and he kept on trying to cast the blame around to everyone, saying sometimes the website messes up, or the fax is wrong, or blah blah blah. He wouldn't shut up and leave, even when I made it clear I wanted him to go away as our discussion was not productive. The ham sandwich was good, I'll give them that. The eggplant was 3/4 undercooked (3 pieces were stiff and white, one was properly cooked and had grill marks on it). Generally bland though. TL;DR: Took over 2 hours, full of excuses, no heads-up to me at all, jerk driver and after all that, the food was bland to bad. No refund offered, and if they try to offer me a free pizza or something I will not redeem it (and will edit this post to show that they don't listen).

The Bottom Line on Top: Far from the best pizza in town, Romio's location and lunch buffet make it a viable option in the right circumstance. Review: This place seems to take it's customers for granted. The pizza is passable, as is the ambiance. The place could be a little cleaner, and the pizza could certainly be better, but they're the only real pizza place in the area which is surely frequented by hotel folk, convention-goers, and even wayward tourists, all of whom will be willing to accept virtually anything for their pizza fix. That said, the pizza isn't bad, it's passable. Pagliacci's, Pegasus, and Paxti's are all far superior options. Frankly, Dominos and Pizza Hut likely beat this place on any given night. What sets this place apart from the rest of the Seattle Pizza scene is it's lunch buffet. While not the best value once you factor in drink, tax, and tip, sometimes you just want to know that you can have ALL YOU CAN EAT. This place delivers in that regard. Do they refill the buffet with fresh pizza often enough? No. You'll be lucky if they replace the empty pizzas once during the lunch period. Will they remove a stale pizza that didn't get eaten in favor of a fresh one? Fat chance. Is the salad bar good? Not especially. Some of the vegetables might be obviously from the day before, especially ones like cucumbers that easily show their age, but for a pizza buffet, it's fresh enough. Just use your head and pick the freshest ingredients available. But I can endure all that when I'm feeling gluttonous. The service is attentive enough in refilling my too expensive fountain drink. The pizza is plentiful. The parmesan sprinkles left from the night before on the table cloth don't bother me too much. If it's lunchtime and you're hungry for pizza of any kind and don't mind being overcharged for what you actually get... think about trying Romios.

My husband found their coupon in the lobby of The Camlin so we ordered, and quickly received, a gourmet vegetarian pie called the G.A.S.P. Pizza that was delicious, filling and still HOT. :-) Way to go!

Good variety of appetizers, hot sandwiches/gyros, paninis, low carbs, original/ regular/specialty pizzas beverages plus desserts on the massive menu. You can even personalize your pizza. Romio's has been around the Seattle area for 20+ years. They offer a Traditional, Fresh Garlic, and Whole-Wheat Berry. So many varieties of good food! Simply amazing! Bonus: they also deliver!

Very dissatisfied with the service. I am staying at a hotel in Seattle and ordered for delivery and made 1 simple request to hold the pepperoncini off of my salad... When the food was not only did they not provide any silverware or napkins but The salad was covered with 6 pepperoncini.

Maybe its from watching shows like Kitchen Nightmares and Restaurant: Impossible but I find myself thinking "What would they say if they came in here or if they ate this food?" I've eaten at Romio's twice now. Today was the latest. As I ate I noticed how tasteless the crust was. It was just... bread. No flavor. Kind of gummy. The sauce had some flavor but the cheese and toppings... they were plain. You go to places like Pagliacci's or Hot Mama's or even Pizza Hut and the pizza has flavor. Romio's is just... plain, flavorless, and gummy. You eat it just to get something in your stomach. After watching those types of "Save my restaurant" type shows, I wonder if I owned a business like this, if I would strive to improve my product or if I would continue putting out the same sub-par product year after year. Romio's has the potential of being a great pizza place. The only competition nearby (that I know of) is A Pizza Mart and they are mostly a bar who serves some pizza. Please Romio's, I know my review is harsh but I hope you take it in the manner it is intended. Every business can benefit from looking at how they can improve and reach out to customers and other experts for new ways to improve. Please dont continue to put out the same sub par, tasteless tomato sauce on bread in 2015. Please reinvent yourself to be THE pizza place of the area. Again, that is just my personal opinion on the flavor/quality of the pizza and others may find it amazing. I did go during the lunch buffet both times so maybe that had something to do with it. The buffet did have slim pickings. I know its a busy time but considering the buffet is daily, I would hope they would be more prepared to keep the buffet continuously stocked with selection. The pluses: The waitress was very pleasant and attentive, the price is great, the location is great, I thought the restaurant was clean but could use a little "freshening up". I truly only intend this review to be encouraging to the owners/management to look at how they can continually improve. I'll come back again a few times and continue to try them out.

I ordered several banquet sized pasta dishes, salad and garlic bread two days in advance for a work meeting. After repeating the order several times, I anticipated that it would be delivered correctly and on time. That was not the case. Not only did the person that took the order take our phone number down wrong (resulting in the driver going back to Romio's when he couldn't reach us), it took them over 20 mintues to drive back to our office and the order was missing one of the main dishes that I confirmed would be in our order two days previously when placing the order. I would never order from this Romio's again.

  • Susan B.

Super slow service. The place isn't that busy. The table we sat at wobbled quite a bit. I politely asked on of the two servers if we could have something to stop the wobble, she said "sure" and never came back to us. Our server didn't even get back to us about the table. I finally took one of my napkins and put it under one of the feet of the table. When we were finally done my mom went up and asked for a box for our pizza (to which they gave us boxes more for an actual dish and not pizza) they said they would bring the boxes right away and they did. But when I asked for a lid for my $0.50 ranch and a container of the marina sauce and the check, she took about 15mins to get it to us. The food was good. But the service wasn't. I would give them a second chance because of the food.

Decent food, very friendly service and decently priced. We went here for lunch and it wasn't full. It's right next door to citrus thai which usually has a line out the door so I was a little apprehensive. However the food was fairly good. The lasagne that my friends ordered were nice but too cheesy and greasy. The calzone was HUGE and again way too cheesy and greasy. I opted for the buffet which is basically an AYCE salad bar and pizza. The salad bar is nice but the pizzas werel you guessed it; greasy. Also, not too many options. They also did not tell me that they keep switching the pizzas, else i'd have waited for something I like more. Overall the place was not bad. I might go here occasionally when I get a craving to stuff myself with grease in the middle of the day since it's so close to work but I don't think I'll frequent it. Note: If you like cheesy and greasy food(which many people do) and large portions, you will love this place. The review is probably a little biased since I'm not a fas of too much grease.

Not so great service. We wait for a long time for the waiter to take our order and then waited a long time for them to pick up the check. The waitress was working for a long time and they should hire more waiters to make sure people aren't over worked. I order a hard cider and they brought me a Mikes Hard, not the same thing. One person ordered pepperoni pizza and got cheese. There were way too many mix ups considering we were one of two parties. Would not recommend in general. There are napkins stuffed under the table legs and generally bad interior.

  • Valerie S.

I don't normally do a broken review like this, but I'm trying to be brief: I had Romio's delivery, and they were super fast, but also impatient for me to get to the door faster than I could (they called twice, but then again we also ordered at about 10:45 and the close at 11:00--that's nice that they take orders that late). The prices seemed quite high for two calzones, until my roommate saw how big they are, and then the $20 for two price tag was quite reasonable. Perfect drunk/hungover delivery food, since you can eat some the night of, and some the morning before, and feel like maybe you weren't totally abusive to your body. I'd love to try the pizza sometime--I'm still looking for a great pizza delivery near my home, and so far, Romio's stands a fair chance of getting my patronage again. Bravo!

The first time I went to Romio's a month ago, my friends and I were going in for Happy Hour. The first thing the waitress did when she came to our table (the only table in the bar) was tell us that she couldnt make us a margarita or bloody mary because they didn't have all the ingredients and then tells us all the things on the menu that they won't make. My friend ordered a vodka tonic and the tonic was flat. The second time we went, earlier this week, the waitress/hostess led us to the table and left us for almost 10 minutes with no menus, no water, etc. I get she was helping a pick up order, but when she sat us down, she should have given us menus. When she came back with the HH menu, again we got the run down of what wasn't available. I ordered a bloody mary, which was tasty, but my 2 friends order margaritas and they were basically non-drinkable - SOUR!!! The upside of Romios, the pizza is good.

We LOVED it!! Our team was in town for a soccer tournament. Our hotel was walking distance from Romio's. The food was great and Swati and Sara were great. They treated us so well and with a large group of girls made the experience awesome. We would go back 100% if ever back in Seattle. Thanks for the best pizza, salads and past ever!!!

They have a decent lunch buffet here. Sometimes they are a little slow in getting pizza out. The selection of pizza is ok but not that great (I'm just looking for a slice of peperoni and they have never had that out for the buffet in the times that I have been here). The salad bar is pretty basic but does the job. Some of the pizza is rather blad. Overall, there are better options in the area.

My husband turned me on to this place and we've been here several times for their pizza. We absolutely LOVE their pizza! The rest of their menu looks good too, but it's hard to go and not get their pizza! I wish they had a Romio's in Tacoma :(

Listen. If I call and you say you have pizza by the slice and you say yes, I should not have to wait for you to cook a pizza. Unconscionable. Unforgivable.

I can't, in good faith, give Romio's more than 2 stars. The restaurant identifies itself first as a pizza joint. Right there in the title - Romio's Pizza. But they use a conveyor belt. You'll never, ever have a good pizza off of a conveyor belt. Conveyor belts are for cafeterias, either in middle schools or overpriced museums. They are not for restaurants, particularly not ones that call them selves "XXX's Pizza." The result is a limp, greasy pizza. Barely a pizza. Sure, it's round, but coming out of that conveyor belt it's tasteless. Avoid conveyor belt pizzas. And, prospective pizza joint owners, buy an oven, not a belt. You're making food, not a Model T.

I was here for a good ten minutes and no one so much as acknowledged me or even brought me a menu, even though the waitstaff stopped by the table immediately next to mine several times. Rude. I ended up leaving and going next door to Citrus Thai, where the customer service was far superior to what I experienced here.

I love this pizza place. The delivery service is wonderful and the taste of the pizza is stellar. However, after reading some the reviews, it seems that I should only keep this as a delivery and never actually go to the restaurant.

Their gluten free pizza is great, but their regular pasta is not good. Their delivery is speedy, but would not eat there again. The last time we went, they didn't clear any of the tables around us, so by the time we left, EVERY TABLE had dirty plates on it. Service was pleasant, but their cleanliness clearly left something to be desired.

Ordered delivery from this place. Delivery was pretty fast. I ordered 20 hot wings and a gyro. I'm obsessed with chicken wings and since I've moved to Seattle I haven't found a place that was decent wings(Besides Wing Stop in Bellevue). And this places wings were pretty darn good I most admit. The gyro was good to. Will definitely be ordering from them again!

I thought the pizza here was great. I love pizzas that have the cheese melted over the toppings- it just holds everything together. Service was good. Food came quickly. It was pretty quiet there on the Saturday evening that I went there, and I appreciated that. Parking is a little tricky, but that's Belltown as a whole. Overall, I would reommend it and I plan to return.

I recently found that I am Gluten Intolerant and thought I would never find a decent pizza. I had gone to Romio's and had their regular pizza and it was great, so when I was having a pizza craving I went back to try their Gluten-Free crust. It too was great. I have always taken the pizza to go, as I live so close. Their staff is very friendly and with the ability to place my order online is great too. They offer a wide selection of Gluten-Free items.

Revised to 2 stars, from previous 4. A simple to-go pizza order. I called, I walked over, I paid, I got the box, and got home. And it does not resemble what I ordered. So I called again. They made a mistake. Instead of pizza, the kitchen did two Calzones, one for the restaurant eat-in order and the other for me. The pizzas are standard issue, why should I bother with this one again?

I gave up on Romio's awhile ago because it's just so hit or miss. On one hand I once had a fantastic ham and cheese panini, and then on a return visit ordered the same thing to receive what seemed like an entirely different sandwich. There appears to be some serious quality control issues. Sometimes the food is delicious, and others its plain bad. Pizza was pretty tasty once it arrived! The calzones are very good too, on one occasion - barely edible on another. See the trend? The pasta is mediocre at best, and unless you have an HOUR + to wait for lunch or dinner - you'll grow very frustrated at how long your food takes to come out. The service has always been prompt, and quick to make sure your drinks are full. I can't recommend dessert - from the looks of it it is bought somewhere else and just a filler on the menu.

I never had Romio's pizza before so I didn't have any kind of expectation when first walking in here but we were very hungry after a very bad day and Romio's is open late. I'm so glad we walked in here! The portions are huge and the food was just very comforting (i.e. delicious and greasy). The greek salad we got was easily enough for the three of us and the calzone was bigger than my head! And the GASP pizza was unexpectedly amazing. It is garlic, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes and pesto. OMG, the combination is otherworldly. So good!! But the best part about the experience was our server, Swati. She was genuinely kind, sweet and caring -- both about our food service AND how we were doing that night. Swati was the best part of our experience at Romio's!! We'll be coming back often to Romio's and I hope Swati is our server each time. ^_^

Gluten free garlic bread?! Ah-mazing. The GF pizza is good too but the garlic bread is the best I have found anywhere.

Ordered the "Chicken Eggplant Parmesan" dish from the "Low Carb" section of the menu, which was described as "2 chicken breasts on a bed of marinara sauce...". Well, there were no chicken breasts! There were a few cubes of chicken in a bunch of sauce, but when I put them together, the amount of chicken wasn't even equal to 1 breast. Definitely inaccurate, and over-priced at $13.45 for 6 or 7 bits of chopped chicken. It was tasty enough, & my order arrived quickly (which surprised me considering it was Friday nite), but the blatantly wrong description was a turn-off. Oh, and I also ordered the key lime cheesecake... two-thirds of the crust was missing! I don't know if they were running low on food or what, but my whole order was "downsized"! I'd give them a 2.5 out of 5, since I only got half the food I was expecting! If they're gonna serve half-portions, shouldn't they have a half-price menu?

I was feeling like pigging out when I decided to go to Romio's Pizza & Pasta, and Romio's satisfied my mood. The menu was a combination of normal pizza/italian food and greek food like dolmas, gyros, spankopeta, etc. Kind of a strange combination, but I'm not going to complain. I had: - Greek Salad: Standard greek salad with tomato, cucumber, onion, kalamata olives, and lots of feta cheese. The feta cheese is salty & plentiful, the dressing is full of herbs, and the salad was overall pretty good. I've had better salads for the same price, but it wasn't bad. - GASP Pizza: Garlic, sun dried tomato, & pesto sauce (I held the artichoke hearts). I thought this pizza was bomb - super strong on flavors, lots of gooey cheese melted with the pesto sauce. The crust was kind of eh (seemed a little hard to me), but the toppings were great. I got the medium and ate all of it except for 1 slice, so it's not all that big. - Chocolate cake: Triple layer chocolate cake that was a little dry. It was the last slice in the display case, so maybe it was a old? The chocolate cream in between the layers was good. The location is new, so it smelt of turpentine when I walked in (kind of off putting before eating a meal). Also, the holder they brought my bill in had an American Express label on it but they don't actually accept amex cards. My meal seemed a little pricey for just 1 person, especially since I was the only one who ate it and I was able to finish mostly all of it.

I've order the gluten free pizza and breadsticks, and both are fantastic. The delivery driver is a pleasure and the pizza always arrives hot. Plus, I've never gotten sick from eating there - three cheers for a restaurant that understands how to do gluten free the right way! They even have a gf desert. It's called a chocolate cake, but it's really just fudge in cake shape.

Ordered online, took over 1 and 1/2. The restaurant is located less than 3 miles from my home. Ridiculous, will not be ordering delivery again.

Have to say, I'm a little taken aback by all the negative reviews. I think Romio's is always great quality at a bargain price, this location being no exception. The pizza is good, some of the specialty pizzas are excellent. I like the pasta dishes, such as 4 Cheese Baked Spaghetti and Baked Fettuccini Formaggi. The sandwiches are also quite tasty, I enjoy the Chef's Special. Calzones also great. I can't think of one item I've gotten here that didn't meet expectations. This location is pretty light on foot traffic, so the service I've found to be great as well. I guess the only complaint I can think of is that the beer selection and prices are only average. But even then the Happy Hour can bring the prices down a little.

I used to believe that any cheese pizza was edible if you had enough red pepper flakes. After many years of dumping red pepper flakes on cheese pizza from numerous pizza joints, Romio's has finally proved that theory wrong. The pizza itself was soggy, really greasy and cold when delivered. The crust is like cardboard and I think the sauce is Boboli. Romio's reminds me of elementary school cafeteria pizza. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Order Pagliacci's or MOD.

Great service! Great food. Really enjoyed the attentive and kind service. We had a gift certificate and they were great about handling it. Will definitely go again and try more things. We had the garlic bread and two individual pizzas. So yummy, all of it. We were the last customers fo the night and all of our food was made fresh with fresh ingredients.

Tasked with ordering pizza for 14 people at work, I went with Romio's solely because they'd ordered from there before. I get mailers for Romio's all the time but have never been tempted. The woman that took my order was friendly and polite. I called back less than two hours before the scheduled delivery time to add a couple things, and we still got precisely what I ordered. The driver showed up exactly on time -- like to the minute! I am surprised to read all the the reviews that mention terrible service, because everyone I dealt with was competent and professional. I ordered five large pizzas and three whole dinner salads: -- Cheese ($15.50): not exciting, but not bad. -- Margherita ($22.95): OK. There was something slightly off about it to me, but other people commented on how good it was. There was more basil than you usually get. -- Samos ($19.95): Canadian bacon and pineapple. I didn't try this one. -- Romio's Special ($20.95): meat and veges. I didn't try this one either but there was none left. That being said, I don't think the construction crew is very picky. -- Plato's Special ($23): tomatoes, feta, onions, and I added artichokes. I could barely taste (or see) the feta, but it was OK. -- Dinner Salad ($6.95): one salad could easily feed 2 - 3 people... if they really like lettuce. Seriously, 85% of the salad was lettuce. There was also sliced black olives, some cheese, about three slices of cucumber, and one slice of pale tomato. The dressings seemed like they came out of a bottle. Not very appealing. Overall I'd give the food 2.5 Stars, but rounding Romio's rating up because the service and accuracy of the large order was better than expected. Also, everyone else seemed to like it more than I did.

I am not a big fan of the pizza. I always order the same thing. HORIATIKI GREEK SALAD: Tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, HOLD THE ONIONS, Greek olives (unpitted), Greek feta cheese, pepperoncini peppers, with house dressing. There is no lettuce in this salad. It's just a pile of chopped veggies. It comes in a big box and weighs something like five pounds.

I dropped in for the first time last night and... it wasn't quite what I was expecting. The service: Some were super friendly and customer service oriented, while one guy seemed all over the place and barely focused. I got my water refilled and got my food, but they seemed to mostly be focused on the delivery calls that were coming in every few minutes. They also really tried to push people to get a dessert. The food: The tortellini in garlic sauce was pretty good, though I still don't get why such a dish costs $12. The salad that came with it was pretty bad. It was mostly lettuce with some old-looking black olives, cheese, one slice of cucumber, and one small slice of an old tomato. Gross. I barely ate any of it before giving up. If I ever find myself back there, I think going for the soup will be a safer option.

Eugh, made a delivery order, called an hour and a half later to see where my pizza was, the guy who answers the phone tells me that it will be another fifteen minutes. Reckon I'll avoid the hell out of this place in the future.

I made my way to Romio's last night in search of the elusive gluten free pizza; my wife is allergic to gluten so finding a pizza place that caters to that need is rare and exciting. I was encouraged by the mostly positive reviews on yelp, but in the end I was left with mixed feelings about the place. I called in an order to go for a gluten free Olympian pie and it was ready to go in a decent about of time (about 20mins). As far as I could tell, the place is street parking only, so my wife dropped me off since there were no spots available. The restaurant was nice and clean and the guy at the counter was friendly, so A+ for service. Now comes the part that leaves me torn. The pizza was indeed gluten free, but it was small....really small. I confirmed that my order was for a medium (which is the only size that you can order a gluten free pizza in) and I felt a bit ripped off for paying $24 for something akin to a microwave pizza. However, I refused to give up hope on the pie until I had eaten it. Thankfully, it tasted much better than it looked. There was a good amount of meat both under and on top of the cheese and the gluten free crust was really good; for once, it didn't taste like cardboard or crusty rice. My wife and I easily downed the pie, whose slices were smaller than my hand; "Olympian?", I thought. We decided that this will be a place to go every once in a long while since the price is so high. For now, ZAW remains king since I can pay the same amount for a huge pie.

Ok, I know, they haven't gotten the best reviews. I have to say though that I still felt compelled to take a chance. I was headed to a show at Re-Bar with friends and wanted to make sure we were there with plenty of time to get in line outside. With the exception of a nearby Thai restaurant, Romio's is literally the only place close to Re-Bar. We went in on a Saturday night and low and behold it was happy hour! We sat in the bar area and ordered beer and food. I think the beer was like $3 or something ridiculous like that. I had a half eggplant parmesan sandwich which was huge for like $4.50. My friends had veggie gyros that were $4. Be careful if you're going to wash your hands in the women's bathroom though, the hot water is SCALDING! Also, I think the waiter/bartender is Tony Little of the "Gazelle" fame. Just saying, they get extra points for that!

Anything other than pizza is reheated and frozen, they come in a aluminum tray that was re-heated in the oven. They do not have any hand made pasta.

From the time our table was seated, waitress was extremely unattentive. Poor service skills and inconsiderate. Took an hour plus to get everybody a drink. Orders were messed up and many costumes did not even receive food. When food did come out, it was sporadic and subpar. Two orders were wrong, two orders did not even come out. Food was litterly sitting on counter for over half an hour. We had to pick it up ourselves. Poor quality, horrendous service, deserves zero stars.

I order food every month for the hotel that I work at. Monday, we ordered a pasta buffet from Romios and the food was great. The ordering process was a little harried, but they were nice and eventually got everything correct. I'll order from them again, for sure.

I too wish there was a zero rating! The worst customer service I have had out in a long time. I don't want to go over the disastrous play by play but trust I won't be back. I know everyone's picky out what style of pizza they like and Romio's just happens to make my type of pizza: thicker crust with a sauce that's not too sweet and not too spicy. This particular Romio's gets props from me on decor. The one of Greenwood is overwhelming with its gaudy decor. The one on Howell is a lot more modern, with minimal decor and clean lines. Food is fabulous!

Wow. I, too, wish there was a zero star option. Romio's used to be a Seattle institution - reliable, delicious, and good to their customers. The quality has been going down for a long time now, but for me, it just jumped the shark, and I have ordered my last pie from Romio's. I ordered a simple pizza tonight. The difficulty of communicating on the phone should have warned me off, but it didn't. After waiting an absurd amount of time for the pizza, I finally heard from the delivery guy, who told me he was outside my building. I went outside, looked around - no pizza guy. Went back in. Waited. He called me again, insisting he was outside. Until that is, I reminded him of my actual address. He proceeded to walk around looking for the correct address while keeping me on the phone and telling me he was close, until he finally had to acknowledge he was entirely in the wrong neighborhood. He could be here in 5 minutes, he said. Right. Three more calls, two hang ups, a call to the restaurant on my part, and he finally showed up, with, natch, a very cold pizza. I still tipped him, I want to say. If you're delivering pizzas, even if you're awful at it, you need the tip. I called to ask, though, that I not be charged full price. After being put on hold (hey, I had the time. I had to heat up the pizza after all), I finally got the offer of a discount on my next pizza. I declined, asking again for a discount on the pizza I ordered. The "manager" proceeded to argue with me, telling me the driver had only left 15 minutes ago, so what I was telling her wasn't possible. No, I'm afraid the real impossibility here is the idea that I will ever order from Romio's again. Perhaps, when they go out of business, which at this rate is a certainty, some other local company can buy the rights to the infamous GASP, as Frangos went to The Bon/Macy's after Frederick and Nelson closed. Oh old Seattle, how I miss you.

I had a terrible experience with Romio's, and I will never order from them again. I placed a delivery order shortly after 7 p.m. which was supposed to arrive in 45-60 minutes. At 8:20, when it was twenty minutes late, I called to get a status update and was told that the driver should be here "in a few minutes." I called again at 8:40 and was again told that he was almost there and would show up momentarily. (He didn't.) He finally arrived at 9:08, TWO HOURS after we originally ordered. We live in downtown and there were no traffic-causing events going on. Romio's offered no explanation. Not only that, when the order arrived, it was wrong. (I asked for no carrots on my salad and instead got no tomatoes.) Furthermore, the grease from my salad leaked through its cardboard box during the lengthy drive, so it was a big mess and greased up the other stuff in the bag.

One of the worst experiences we have ever had. Took them too long to take our order, then we had to ask after half an hour for our salads and more water. After more than another half hour, the manager comped our lunches. But by that time, we were so hungry and out of time that we wanted them to go. After that, a five minute wait ended up being 20 minutes. And, one order was wrong and one of the pizzas had a hair in it! Maybe they'll get their act together, but after almost 2 hours for mediocre food, I don't know that I'll return.

This is my first review and I wanted to write something positive about a business which has consistently delivered good service and great food. These guys are my tried and true. At Romio's downtown you'll find a wide variety of options for pizza and calzone toppings, and, while not their specialty, they make a good sandwich too. Romio's is not the cheapest pizza shop in town but with the quality of their ingredients I understand why this is - they have fresh ingredients and apply them generously. When it comes to ordering some crowd pleasing food you just can't go wrong here. Delivery time to Madrona/Leschi usually runs about 45 minutes to an hour, sometimes I get lucky with a 30 minute delivery. The staff on the phones are courteous as well as the drivers, and they're always up front about delivery time. If you can fit it in, they have an excellent dessert menu as well. I usually go for the Tiramisu, however the last time I ordered delivery they ran out so they brought a Truffilicious Cake instead (and explained at the door) - very good! I have just a few minor complaints. When the weather's colder it'd be nice to have the food come to the door in a hot bag, this has only happened a couple times which I can remember. Also it would be nice if they had all the beverages listed on their menu in stock, it seems like they're often out of the one I want. I've ordered from the Greenlake location once and it's hard to believe it's the same chain. Oh well, we have Milano's up there!

Good GIANT calzones. Pizza is decent but overpriced.

Romio's isn't a bad pizza place, it just isn't anything special. Decent ingredients compliment an average crust (that tends to be a little too doughy for my taste), for a decent price. That's pretty much all there is so say about Romio's, which is the only problem; nothing stands out.

This review isn't about the food, it's about this particular location. I work right across the street so they are very conveniently located for quick lunch. On the 3 occasions that I dined in, I either waited at the front door for 15+ minutes to be seated in a restaurant that was empty, or I waited a long time for the food to be served OR the service was curt. So I ordered delivery. 2 pizzas and 2 salads. The pizzas arrived cold. I didn't get the paper plates and forks that they confirmed with me would be included with the order. When I called back the girl snapped at me that there were no drivers. I explained that my building is right across the street from them - look out the window - but again, there was no driver. I finally lost my patience and told her that she needed to walk them over herself. After a large exasperated sigh, she said she would. Well, she didn't. 15 minutes later, the same delivery guy that brought the food, showed up with the paper plates and forks. The food is decent, but the service at this location could really use some customer service 101.

Let me first say, this review is ONLY for this location. I'm a relatively frequent patron of the Belltown (Western & Broad) and Magnolia locations, and I've never had a bad experience. The pizza is consistently good, the atmosphere is nice, etc. Which is why when the boss wanted pizza for lunch today, I suggested Romio's. It helps that I happened to know they have gluten free crusts, so even with my new eating habits I could eat too. It took about 40 minutes for the guy to arrive, which seems kind of slow considering we were pretty close. The pizzas he brought with him were just about the most shameful pizzas I've ever seen. My pizza was cheese- I had to order a medium because they only offer GF in mediums. It was TINY. Seriously, at the Belltown Romios their small is still larger than this so-called medium pizza. The crust was good, nice and thin, crispy but not overdone. But there was no sauce (light sauce does not equal no sauce, people!), the cheese was sparse and congealed, and the whole thing was dried out and cardboard like. Not exactly appetizing, and I rather wish I hadn't eaten it because the current pain in my stomach suggests that it wasn't as gluten free as Romio's claims. All in all, I'm glad someone else paid because the idea of paying $17 for a tiny pizza that tasted terrible and made me sick is a bit more than I can stomach. I'll not be ordering from this Romio's again.

My friend and I were visiting Seattle and ordered from romios on a Friday after coming home from a bar. We were staying in a hotel just out of Capitol hill. The order taker told me it should to us in 45 minutes. However, the order was almost 20mins late. We were really hungry! So happy when he came. But, to our disappointment the spinache pie appetizer things we ordered contained no spinach. Boo. The pizza was ok, nothing special. I don't think I'd order from here again if I stayed in the area.

Good delivery food when you don't want to go out. They make great sandwiches and even let you do half orders. The sandwiches are all warm and toasty. They are decent tasting, a little bland to me but still good. The cheese bread was alright but lacked flavor too. The dessert we ordered was good but lacked again in the flavor department. Still it was quick service and decent price for the food. Generally good when you aren't being picky.

Perhaps it is more of a diner style italian spot? Service was average and the food was plain.

The food is good, the lunch special is a great deal. The complication comes in with the service. Sometimes it just takes too long for a lone lunch hour. We go back because the price is right, but usually only do so when we can afford a hour plus for lunch.

The reviews for Romio's as a chain were lukewarm, so we set the bar low for our visit. To be frank, we just cleaned our kitchen at home and the stove looked so sparkly clean. . .I couldn't stand to mess it up so off to Romio's we went. Got a 12" 1/2 GASP (garlic, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, pesto) and 1/2 something meat heavy pizza. It was surprisingly very good! I think that I frightened our waiter with my enthusiasm when he asked how the pizza was.

  • Erik T.

Mediocre yet reliable. Most dishes lay it on way too thick with the cheese -- definitely feels heart-attack inducing. Their online ordering works fairly well but they always call me telling me they don't have whatever I ordered. What they deliver is sometimes different than what I get, but is never big enough a deal to complain about it (at least they give me something similar).

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
