Yummm. Discovery this place by accident. We were actually looking for a Mexican food truck by CenturyLink. No go , and happened upon McCoy's Firehouse Grill. "Eastern Washington" Tim was our server. My beer was out and he recommended a parellel, Silver City Red Ale. Worth it!! 4th of July, 6pm NO CROWDS! Had the turkey french dip, &husband had Ruben! Yummmm. And like other reviews, ladies bathroom was clean!! I'd go back. GO WAZZU!!

This is our spot before home Seahawks games. The breakfast buffet is a favorite of any buddy I have gone with. Bloody Mary's are money, but be careful how many you knockdown before kickoff...trust me. Location to Century Link is a 5 minute walk. Parking is tough, so I would either take a cab or bus in. Get there early as this place is packed two hours before kickoff.

Definitely a dive bar, but a decent one. Stopped here after a Sounders game. The place was crowded, but not overwhelmingly so. There was wait service, but it was really slow - took forever for someone to come by, but was fine after that. Not a huge deal. Wife and I ordered beer. Our friends ordered mixed drinks, but we got ourselves some huge-ass beers. And by huge, I mean 32oz. The beers were ginormous and tasty - not a huge selection, but good enough to have a mix of styles. Food was decent. They are apparently known for their peanut butter hamburger, but it wasn't very tasty. The hamburger I got was was OK, but nothing remarkable at all. I mean, not a bad place to stop for a drink after a game, but not really a place I'd go out of my way to attend.

I wouldn't recommend a visit here on a game day, but a regular weeknight, this is the best place to go for dinner. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, great steaks, stiff drinks. It's the kind of place I wouldn't mind owning someday. Where else can you get a decent size Ribeye, Baked Potato with all the trimmings, a Caesar side salad and Texas toast for under 20 bucks? And quality better than I've gotten at some of the premier steak houses in the area where you spend 50-100 bucks a plate!

Definitely would not recommend coming here with children (but maybe that's their intention). When we asked the server if there was a kid's menu, we got a curt, "Nope". No suggestions as to what the kids could possibly eat, even though we were there, seated, and had two hungry children. It would have been helpful to offer ideas like a grilled cheese or chicken strips (that we ended up ordering after quickly scanning the menu). The only reason for the generous 2 stars was that the food was plentiful and tasted ok (standard bar fare). But the service left much to be desired (this coming from a long time server). Won't be back, with or without kids.

Been here a handful of times for happy hour (only), and here's the summary: Great $3 happy hour food and cheap beer! It's kind of a divey bar, but the staff is friendly, the drinks are good, and the food is dirt cheap. Can't beat a $3 chicken quesadilla (or it might be $4, I forget). The bar itself has kind of a funny layout (think of like an O-shape, with a wall where the hole in the 'O' is) so you'd do better either coming early or keeping your group small, if you want to sit all together. If that makes sense. Anyway, this place is easy on the wallet and relatively close to my office, so I'll be back. No real complaints :)

In town for a convention, met some friends here for day drinking, well they were day drinking I had stuff to do... Ordered a club sandwich, it was yummy, the fries were ridiculously delicious. Their beer menu seemed extensive, but I don't drink beer so cannot testify to the amazingness of it. My friends though were happily drunk at 2:00pm and really what more can one ask when one is out of town for a convention?

This is my necessary stopover when I take the BoltBus from Seattle to Vancouver or vice versa. My dad was a bartender for years, so walking in to a place like this I feel I know where he worked. Firstly, the Blue Plate special gives me nostalgia for an era I never knew and for $6.99 it's a hot meal at yr service. Bartenders: all nice. Last time I was there, a pair of friends called me over to read a Dr. Seuss book with them. Yes, I dig this place and am already planning my next Blue Plate in December.

I must say, I was quite impressed with the Wed lunch daily special of chicken fried steak. I've avoided such a dish for years on end and thought, fuck it, I'm gonna give it a whirl and flush 'er down with a whiskey ginger... HMM! Rather tasty steak, mashed potatoes and gravy. The breaded surface wasn't heavy, nor the gravy. Nice salad (plenty greens) and texas toast (a la cheese bread - similar to Sizzler's). Perhaps my one gripe was the occasional tough bit in the steak. The waitress was ok. She did a drive-by first (weird) but then seemed ok after that. Good lunch, then it was back to work. Yay!

Worst dive bar I've ever visited in Seattle. When I pay $8.25 for a Bloody Mary I don't expect it to come in a plastic cup with only a lime, olive, an asparagus spear - but that's what you get here. Plastic cup!?! Wtf... On top of that, bartender was extremely rude. Won't be coming back here.

  • Traci C.

The bartender was NOT friendly or attentive. When I asked to order a pretzel she waved her hand at me and said "we aren't doing that" and walked off. A server told me that's only during happy hour. When my girl inquired about one of her pull tabs, the bartender turned around, grabbed a board and then said "give me your ID"- we didn't even understand that she had won a prize until after she picked the box...yeah won't be back!

It's not the best food in Seattle but it's consistently good and very cheap. McCoy's Firehouse is a staple lunch place for me. The food is good (but not amazing) very cheap and the service is good. If you come here more than 2 or 3 times chances are the wait staff will recognize you and greet you by name. The food - 3.5 / 5 - Like I mentioned before, its good but not amazing. The food isn't anything to write home about but its far from bad. They have very good specials going on during the week, you can get a decent steak for around 10 bucks. The service 5/5 - They're friendly and attentive here, they're also very good at remembering their customers. There is also never any fuss about splitting check, even when you have 5 or 6 people in your party. Atmostphere 3/5 - The place is a little on the small side and it feels kind of like a dive bar. There isn't really anything wrong with it but it's still just meh to me. Overall - I probably wouldn't come here for a dinner date but just for lunch during the week this place is great, it never amazes me but it never disappoints either.

We went there before a seahawks game for breakfast/brunch. Make sure to get there very early otherwise you will have to sit outside on the patio like we did. Very small place. Service was pretty slow. I had the french toast which was ok but very average. My gf had the chicken fried steak and eggs. She didn't eat the eggs because they were awful and made of powder. One plus is the close proximity to the Century Link Field.

  • Susan G.

Fantastic burger and their beer selection is to die for. I love the aesthetic of this place, the exposed brick and the firefighter helmets on the wall. There are plenty of tvs all around so no one is in a bad spot for watching the big game.

    (4)
  • Tori G.

Two stars for the great atmosphere, adorable decor, and convenient location, but the food was ICK. I seriously couldn't even finish my burger, it was that bland. And I ordered a CHILI burger. So wrong. Service was also super mediocre. It took us almost 30 minutes to get our (gross) food, and I had to ask for a glass of water two or three times. I might go back to just drink at the bar, but I feel like this place should advertise itself as more of a watering hole (drinks only) than a pub (with food).

  • Rebecca S.

Ick. I went here for lunch and ordered the hot turkey dip sandwich with potato salad. They're not kidding with the "hot" - ten minutes after I was served, my sandwich was still smoking. The swiss cheese made the sandwich unbearably salty, as if the au jus wasn't salty enough and the potato salad was too sweet for my liking although it had no bacon or onions in it which is always nice. Service was ok - not particularly friendly and I could see one of the waitress's butt crack the whole time which wasn't exactly pleasant. There are definitely better places in Pioneer Square. I won't be back.

  • Dylan H.

I'm a big fan of this place. The staff are friendly and fun to chat with. While they do not have a big beer selection, they always have something tasty on tap. The inside of the bar has a funky, local bar feel (which is a good thing). It's a great place to grab a pint before the game. Food is typical bar food but they have decent happy hour deals.

    (4)
  • Arthur K.

I've only been here for happy hour but they have good service, prices and happy hour food. It's also one of the only places around Pioneer Square that is all ages during sporting events, but be sure to get there early as only the seated area is all ages and gets packed pretty quickly.

McCoy's Firehouse is one our favorite places to visit in downtown Seattle! We have never had a bad meal there and everything is made in house! The atmosphere is great and the staff is attentive and helpful.. We recently were there for a Seahawks game and it was incredibly fun! We have also stopped by on our way to and from the stadium since its within walking distance. A must when in Seattle!

    (5)
  • Gillian W.

All these fun little places to stop into when you're Seattle. Stopped in here on the way to meeting a friend. Don't sit in that corner by the door as you go in.. you get ignored. We had started up a conversation with a few folks and we were like 20 minutes for even drinks. TG we weren't eating. DH got a big ol beer, seemed legit. We paid for cash for our drinks but wow, 18 bucks for the two drinks seemed a little steep for this place. I had vodka on rocks. Just sayin a little spendy. The Atmosphere was fine, this had one of those one bathroom deals. I really hate that about a divy bar sometimes, what if someone locks themself in there or gets sick or whatever what do the rest of us do that have to go? Yea never understood this about the bars. Anyways.. no complaints really and sure, I'd go back. Keep it up!

  • Annie B.

One of my favorite places for after a game down in Pioneer Square. Somehow they manage to not be overflowingly packed but they still provide that great atmosphere after a game. I can't say I've had the food there - beyond an appetizer or two - but the beer is tasty and the seats are comfortable. Outdoor seating is also a good option on a nice day.

Let me lead this off telling you that I am not a bar person. I haven't had alcohol for well over two years, and usually bars offer little aside from booze. However, my wife, her Brazilian friend and I decided to catch the US-Ghana game last Saturday. I was first surprised to have bacon and eggs at a bar. The food was OK, but it was breakfast, and I was hungry. We had lunch during the game and it was more what I expected, greasy bar food. It's a great place to see games. When Donovan scored the goal a siren and a light went off. It's a great addition to the game. While the game was tragic, the experience was well worth it. I would definitely suggest seeing sporting events here.

  • DeAnne E.

It's a loud fun atmosphere. Divey feel. This place is the best bar in the pioneer square area I've been to so far. You have to order food and drinks at the bar. Surprisingly the bathrooms are modern and clean. I really didn't expect that from the wooden bar furniture. They also have a modern Jukebox. Best time to come here is after a game or at night. I must warn you though: If you only have a 30min-1hr lunch, don't come here. The service is slow.

  • Jenni D.

I realize that you can get a draft Ninkasi anywhere in Seattle (something I am absurdly jealous over being a Californian), so I was pleasantly surprised when I stopped by McCoy's after my Light Rail journey from SeaTac. It was so nice to cram all my luggage in a corner and enjoy friendly service and an ice cold Ninkasi. Greasy late night food also hit the spot - I highly recommend the Onion Rings... or Fried Mozzarella Sticks (worth every calorie!).

  • Annette L.

Inedible french dip, cold fries, incorrect orders and lost orders...and there were only 4 of us! Horrible service. I had to chase down our waitress to place our orders and then again to have her fix our orders. Really??

    (1)
  • Joel S.

The food (had the chicken fried steak) was okay. Service was mediocre.

A very solid pre-game hang out. I've been here oodles of times pre-Mariners' games (I know, right? Who goes to those?), and now for a few football games. While I haven't tried the food (sorry, I know!), I can vouch for the drinks. A good, solid pour, and if you ask for "something that's strong, but doesn't taste bad", they'll do that, too. (Your companion just might need to leave at halftime due to barfage, though...) But it's a fun pre-game environment, the bartenders are funny and friendly, so I can't find anything bad to say. Oh, and the bathrooms are clean and there is more than one stall!

So. Many. Firemen's. Uniforms. On. The. Walls. Which actually make for pretty cool decorations. Who knew? McCoy's Firehouse is one of those places I always pass by during lunch hour or when I'm on my way to sling fire at another fine Pioneer Square establishment (wink wink). But last nite we decided to meet there and hang out...and I gotta say: Friendly bar staff? Yes Quick service? Yes Tasty eatins by a happy cook? Yes Courteous patrons? For the most part, yes Dickheads? Not last nite Awesome attitudes had by all? Yes For the first time in a long time, we weren't met w/ a lippy douchebag for a bartender! SCORE! And he apologized for not having the vodka that I wanted, but chose something equally as good to replace it. Now that's what I call service.

  • Shana B.

Been sitting here for almost an hour now and no one has even said boo to me, let alone bussed the table from the people here before me, offered a menu, the time of say, NOTHING. Service here is HORRENDOUS!!!!

  • Robert R.

GREAT steak for the price and type of restaurant! The people here were AWESOME! My wife and I were visiting for our anniversary, and were treated like family from the moment we walked in, before they even knew we were out of towners.

  • Marcos S.

Maybe fourth time I've tried mcCoys. Always interesting. The food is consistently good. Enough food for the girlfriend and I to split regardless of breakfast or lunch. The hot link is Very good! Atmosphere is great. Very diverse population inside and out, which I love.

    (4)
  • Scott l.

I love the firehouse burger with a fried egg on it. Their service is always very good, and the food is too. I've been here about 6 times to meet with business partners and they always agree that it's unique enough to seek out when you need to sit down and chat for a while over good food, but not a full-ambiance dinner. The only thing that isn't great is the neighborhood, but it's totally worth it, especially for lunch.

    (4)
  • Kerrie C.

OK, so I've changed my mind about McCoy's. I've given them more chances, and now I think that waitress was just a fluke. Now I love McCoy's.

Place looks nice as you come in fireman decor. My husband and I sat at bar . Place was full, new years week, gameday and we wanted a beer on the way to the game. Only had a breakfast buffet to eat. $ 12. A plate . I dont eat breakfast. But my husband gave it a go . Food was not great . I tasted a kiwi and a bite of sausage. And the rude guy. " I believe is a owner / manger" what have you charged us for two plates. We just payed the bill did not want a fight. But he was an ass. The place is not worthwhile. Go to the Fuel across the street .

    (1)
  • Aubrey G.

Simon is the greatest bartender of all time. He is amazing at his job. In busy situations when other tenders get stressed out and start getting attitudes Simon always keeps his cool happy demeanor. It's pretty impressive. Good job Twoper!

    (5)
  • James M.

Mediocre at best. I have eaten lunch here three different times over the past couple years and each time I am reminded why I don't go more often. The service by the waitresses is unfriendly and the food is greasy and not very flavorful. If you are only going for beer they do have 32 ounce Budweisers which is nice. So, if you have to wet your whistle before a sporting event just grab a beer here and get food somewhere else. Or just go somewhere else, lots of options in Pioneer Square.

    (2)
  • Beau S.

It is just your basic bar, nothing really distinguishing about it . The tap selection is decent and it is fairly clean compared to fuel across the street. My biggest complaint is that it is so small and yet they are too lazy to open the deck on a night where they are overflowing with people. So, instead of opening the deck the other night you lost business to Temple from 5 people in my group and however many other people left. I have been here probably 3-4 times and not eaten mostly before so I can't comment on the food.

  • David H.

Went here for breakfast and was impressed. The food was very good and their Bloody Mary's were fantastic. Service was prompt and was able to watch the game from the dining area.

Awesome. Everything you want a dive/sports bar/firehouse themed restaurant to be. It's awesome inside, with gorgeous molded ceilings and super comfortable booths to sit in. Bathrooms are clean. Good alternative music playing. The food was delicious; the drinks were great; our waiter was cool and very friendly. It's centrally located in Pioneer Square so when we were done we just walked to another bar (the ONLY reason we left was because we wanted to dance). The other awesome thing is that you can actually hear your friends talking without screaming or going outside! Fantastic place, cool memorabilia, everything you could ask for in a low key restaurant/bar. Next time I'm in Seattle I'm for sure going back.

We were quite surprised (in a good way) by this whole in the wall. Crispiest and tastiest popcorn shrimp I've ever had. Great and very friendly service

Great neighborhood Bar in Pioneer Square. Makes a great spot for before, during, or after a Seattle sporting Event (NFL, MLB, MLS). This place has awesome ribs and many other smoked meat combinations. They smoke their meat in the back which gives off an amazing aroma! (Making me hungry just thinking about it). Service is usually on top of their game, but if it is super busy, you can expect a longer wait. The place to go if you want Beer & Ribs!

    (4)
  • Rachel W.

We normally love this restaurant. Today was a different story. We waited a LONG time for our food and when it did arrive, it was partially incorrect. So, we sent that part back and waited even longer and they got it partially wrong again. Once we had our food ( we gave up and getting it right ) it was ok. Not their best showing but good enough. We will be back and hope they just had an off day.

Chicken fried steak was great and the beer was ice cold... great stop before an M's game on Sunday afternoon.

    (4)
  • Rachel K.

Great little local place, fantastic drinks and casual as heck. When it is warm get there early and stake out a patio spot! JUST enough out of the way that you can expect it to be all locals. Only time to avoid? Any time there is a game or concert (when the people who are going are wandering about!).

    (4)
  • Josh H.

I went here for lunch in the middle of the week. The wait staff was super cool, but the food is just average. I had a shredded brisket, and it came on a hot dog bun. And the BBQ beef was really nothing to rave about. I like the atmosphere in the restaurant, so definitely hit up this place if you're looking to hang out and drink some beers with friends.

    (3)

One of the best ribeye steaks I have ever had, I will be back! The staff was great. No compalnts here, good job!!

  • Elisa W.

I Love this place! The food and drinks are good and the prices VERY reasonable. They have specials every day of the week, and their Friday Prime Rib special is excellent! They slow smoke their prime rib and it is OMG lip smacking plate of deliciousness! Tuesdays are Rib eye specials and really, really good. They grind their own beef for the burgers and they make their own sausage. They also have their own cuber to make fresh chicken fried steak, which is my very favorite breakfast meal, along with creamy home-made gravy. I'm on a very limited income, and when I can afford to go out and treat myself to a steak or prime rib, this is definitely my choice from now on. I went there last week and had prime rib dinner, with salad, loaded baked potato and bread, along with a couple of drinks and the bill was surprisingly low! I think I have paid more for a ceasar salad elsewhere than I paid for a complete meal and drinks at McCoys! Now that I've had a chance to try a few of their dishes, it's definitely on my list of places to go when I want to treat myself. The people who work there are really nice and the owner, Chrystal, is a real hoot! The entire place is clean (including the ladies room!) and doesn't smell like most other places in Pioneer Square. Parking is on the street or two lots directly behind the building, so convenient. I take the free bus from the Convention Place tunnel entrance, and it drops me off right at the Pioneer Square Station, which is abotu a block away from McCoys! I'll be there again this week to try some of their home-made sausages.

    (5)
  • Kelly D.

Went there for brunch so that's my review's POV... No one was there, the food was just ok and not reasonably priced considering the quality. Definitely have a list of better brunches although the waitstaff is VERY friendly.

  • Caressa O.

My favorite bar in Pioneer Square usually to start and end a night. Go here enough and the bartenders easily become your friends. It's not usually too crowded - but definitely a good crowd on a weekend night. This is one of those bars where if I'm meeting a friend, I won't mind waiting by myself for a half an hour - because you ALWAYS end up talking to someone, either the bartenders or other patrons (who are a hoot and super friendly). Good number and variety of beers on tap. Good food too! Not just 'bar' food - but food with substance, actual meals... which is good when you've drank too much and you need something fulfilling. I'm not too big a fan of Pioneer Square because sometimes it's oogy... but this place has easily become my 'Cheers' so I find myself here a lot.

As many have said before, I will say again...need the 1/2 star option. I would give 2 1/2 stars if I could. Can't quite commit to the 3 star even with our awesome sassy waitress. Never did get her real name. She said we could call her beeotch or Contessa. Went here for lunch and was disappointed by both the fish & chips and the brisket sandwich. The fish of the fish & chips was Van De Kamps out of a box like you would buy at the grocery store. The brisket in the sandwich was just shredded BBQ beef scooped out of a tub. Would go here again just for a drink before a sporting event downtown, but not to eat a meal.

Ok, so we absolutely fell in LOVE with McCoy's since the very first time we went there! Not only has Chrystal (the owner) always make us feel at home, but also Simon and the other friendly bartenders treat us right. We have nothing but the very best things to say about McCoy's.....so if you want a laid back, friendly, family type feel....come to McCoy's Firehouse. The drinks are delicious, the food is yummy, and the staff is incredible. Thank you McCoy's for making us feel so welcome in Pioneer Square!!

The Boyfriend and I happened to be in Seattle on an errand(and of all days, Super Sunday!) and on our way back to the ferry we stopped in for a bite and to catch some of the game. SO glad we chose this pub, excellent prices for very hot, very yummy bar food! They have a HUGE variety of beers on tap and the staff make sure you're enjoying what you've ordered. We shared a bacon cheeseburger, perfectly pink in the middle and dripping meaty-cheesy-oozy goodness plus a 1/2 order of poppers that came w/ a sweet chili sauce, mmmmm! We plan to make this our go-to pit stop when we're in town!

This could be a great irish pub. Everyone is in the kitchen and not interacting with customers. Music is great. Nice put people.

  • A good selection of barbeque type food and good drinks too in downtown Seattle.

Forever and a day I have been boycotting paying for drinks in the clubs so that I can come do the drinking here instead. They pour it like they mean it, and so me and my hoardes of roving bandits are forever loyal. Thank you, Firehouse.

I had the peanut butter bacon burger... can you say YUM???? Never had one but I was so happy I dared the unknown and was surprised by the delicious outcome! I love this place, time and time again!

Great service, the staff and the regulars are friendly like family. Great location to drink during parades or during game season. I enjoyed the food and the drinks. Great way to let loose on vacay!

During this past Thursday's ArtWalk a group of us were stumbling, I mean walking around Pioneer Square enjoying the art when all of a sudden we realized Jon hadn't had enough to drink yet. What to do, what to do? Oh look McCoy's let's go there it's time for a meeting in the ladies room be back real soon Uh-oh, uh-uh-oh. So in we went and guess what we all got carded yes all of us, this made me very happy, I love it when I get carded makes me feel young again. The drinks were good, the clientele was friendly, the decor was very fireman friendly. OH and the ladies room was perfect for the meeting Uh-oh, uh-uh-oh! Next time I'm feeling old I'll head to McCoy's and hopefully get carded again.

  • Jonathan C.

If anything, the staff at McCoy's is bar none. On my third visit, I was part of the family. Chrystal, the owner, runs a tight ship with an awesome staff to support her. The food is decent barbeque and steaks, and they are one of the few restaurants in Pioneer Square to offer an adequate breakfast. The place is clean and well managed. It's not uncommon to find Seattle police officers enjoying lunch in a far table. It's also a great place for karaoke and pull-tabs. But I go back to the staff, friendly, fascinating and hard working. They make McCoy's one of my favorite places in Seattle.

I love McCoy's!! They have awesome food and an overall great atmosphere. I have a couple friends who work here and I love to brag about what a cool place it is to go to in Pioneer Square. I have spent many occasions here and I have always had good memories. Come visit and try everything it's all good!

The food was decent at best and the service terrible. In addition to the bitchy server telling me she'd stab me, she also used the F word in a really high-class kind of way.

Considering how often I go here for lunch, I really should have written this sooner. Consider me a fan. I was talking with my co-workers about why we always seem to end up here for lunch. Here, in no particular order, are the reasons: - Food is tasty, yet inexpensive. - Waitresses are fun and tend to remember us (I have an iced tea as soon as I sit down) - Great blue-plate specials - They split checks without complaining. Usually before you have to ask. - Service is fast. - Service and food quality are both *consistently* good. There ya go. That about captures it. This is exactly what I look for in a lunch place.

    (4)
  • Just Y.

I'm not sure how you could ask for a friendlier staff! Attentive, happy, chatty (but not too much so), and completely in touch with the neighborhood. Although not packed when we dropped by, we had beer and menus in front of us minutes after sitting down. Food orders taken at a leisurely thereafter, and food delivered in a decent time. Food is OK; sausages were still a bit cold but the fries were hot and crisp. You can't complain too much because the prices are great. Not a place I would go out of my way to eat/drink at, but one I'll be sure to drop back by next time I'm in the area and need a beer!

  • Kyle B.

I've eaten lunch here quite a bit with my co-workers. The decor is cheesy - it IS a firehouse, after all - but the waitstaff is friendly and attentive and the food is decent and big enough in portions. Their cheesesteaks are okay, but the real prize are the steak specials for $10-12 that come with a salad, baked potato, texas toast, and a different type of steak depending on the day. Awesome special and a great choice for lunch.

My friend Lola used to bartend there so I'm a little biased. I'm glad to read that other people thought the staff is good. I agree. -surprisingly good breakfasts; -if you belly up to the bar, you occasionally have to deal with the denizens of pioneer square (frat boys drowned in axe, older alcoholics, etc...). Grab a table. -Apparently, the ladies room is a low rent mile-high club. Good times.

An oasis of good food and service in a less-than-upscale neighborhood. The in house BBQ is great and the staff is very friendly. Be careful at night since the park nearby is chock full of homeless people.

Love this place! We stop in for a beer on the way to the train, sometimes apps too. Other times, we'll go in for lunch. Each time has been good food, great service. Just love it here. New favorite place in Downtown Seattle!

I think I've had my last meal here. It takes 15 minutes to have our order taken. 55 minutes to get our food. The food is only okay. The location and interior are nice, but the service is terrible. This is based on multiple visits.

Always consistently good. Over the year I've been eating here I fallen in love with the place. Always good bbq, always good hamburgers, always good beer and always good drinks. The regulars are always nice and inviting. You never get a stink eye if you sit next to them at the bar. Good staff, cheap prices and a laid back atmosphere. Thanks McCoy's for being my home away from home.

I have pretty good food here twice. I had an amazing salmon salad blue plate special with pinneapple juice for $5.95 once. Another time I go their peanut bacon burger. This thing is killer good. There is a very thin layer of creamy peanut butter placed on a perfectly cooked burger (crispy charring on the outside and juicy inside). This is one of the best burgers I have had in the last year. The fries were ok but nothing special. The people workign here are nice and friendly too. My only real complaint is that they have flies...

We arrived at dinner time and the establishment was virtually empty. Apparently we "invaded" the bartenders space as she was extrmemly rude and made it obvious she didn't want us there. She had put on very obnoxious music and when we tried to add some songs to the jukebox, she screamed at us with a mean look "How are those credits treating you?", obviously mad that we had dared try to play other music than her's. Well, she must have been the owner or something and didn't care about our business. We decided to leave and went to cancell our order and pay for out drinks. The bartender had already cancelled the order before we even got to the bar, and snapped - "I've got your drinks, just go!". We went up the streen to FX McRory's and had great service and food. Hard to believe in this economy that an establishment would want to drive business away, but if I were you, I'd avoid this place like the plague!

In Seattle for the first time and came across this place just walking around. I split the steak special with my girlfriend for only $12 and it was plenty of food (baked potato fully loaded and side of coconut shrimp added $5). Good food and beer for an Irish pub.

I had one too many drinks here, and have dubbed it the Firefighters Club bar because I couldn't remember the actual name of it. Daily steak specials... never thought I'd eat steak at a bar, but that did happen. And it only validated my thoughts that bar steaks are not for real foodies. This thing came out "blue" according to my friend. Completely undercooked, I had to send it back which I felt pretty pathetic doing! The bar ambience is cool though... has an underground feel to it that I can dig.

The menu on Yelp is not current. Great place to have drinks with friends. Friendly staff. Lots of Fire Fighter memorabilia and Hawks support. Pricey for the quality of the food.

Solid bar for sure. Why might you ask? I'll tell ya. This is a wonderful 'divey' bar with some good food, good prices, sports always on the TVs and great staff. Simon is awesome (at least I'm pretty sure that's his name?)Very attentive and will certainly take care of ya! One night my convo went a little something like this... Simon: What can I get ya Me: You got hot chocolate Simon: Sure do Me: Can I get that...with like...ALL THE BOOZE IN IT Simon: On it And that was that. Might I add it tasted delicious. Our group comes here just about every Tuesday before our weekly work night and have always typically had a good experience. My only reason for not a higher rating is that there has been a time or two where other staff members have been slow and not as attentive. The other night I waited at a table across from the bar for a good 10 minutes before being attended to. They have happy hour 3-7pm with several items under $3 for food and cheaper prices on alcohol. Their regular menu boasts some great food options as well, many all under $10...which is hard to find in Seattle. All in all a great stop!

Lunch at McCoy's never disappoints. service and food is always awesome and fast. Good beers on tap and something to eat for everyone. I've eaten at McCoy's a number of times and have always had good food, drinks, and service. McCoy's is also super affordable for the portions. If you're in Seattle and looking for something good too eat check out McCoy's. Its Awesome on gamedays as well.

This place is a great little dive downtown. I usually get the BLT and a pint of Manny's. The staff are clearly experienced and are pleasant without being patronizing or filling your ear with typical small talk. Definitely recommend.

Terrible welcome. Stopped in for a bite around 2pm because I was waiting for the Sounder train. It was pretty quiet and there were 2 employees sitting at a table when I walked in. The one said, "You can't wear that in here." I had a Packers backpack and scarf on. She sounded and looked serious enough I was going to leave. The music was blasting and perhaps that complaint just makes me old, but it wasn't pleasant. I ordered "just a burger" with a small Caesar. The burger was delicious! The salad was overdressed but edible. Love the decor but I probably won't be back.

After coming here frequently for some time (usually at least once a week for lunch) I have to say that this place has won a spot in my heart. It's unique and fun, has great food, friendly staff, and a very neat firestation vibe. I also see some firefighters there on occasion (for you ladies who like a man in a uniform....). ;) Maybe I should have let this place sit at a solid 4 stars, but I couldn't help it, I had to add the extra star. I love their buffalo chicken sandwich (which I get with cheese and buffalo sauce because, you know, I'm healthy like that) and their peanut butter bacon burger still calls me in my sleep. Like I said, I'm a healthy eater.... Yes, the neighborhood is, well, interesting.... But, you have to look beyond what meets the eye. Actually, people watching is rather entertaining during lunch, as you do get to see a lot of the craziness. I imagine this area wouldn't be the safest at night, but if you travel in groups and aren't a moron when walking through shady neighborhoods, you'll make it out just fine. Oh, and lastly - the beers. What they lack in selection they make up by providing your staples (Moose Drool, Ninkasi, Manny's, Mac and Jacks, etc...) AND by giving you ice, and I mean ICE cold glasses. So perfect for a hot day! Like I said, probably should be only 4 stars, but I love it too much...

Extremely RUDE bartender!! I have never been treated so rudely in my life. We ordered our dinner and ended up having to cancel it and leave for fear of having spit added to our food.

YAY! This place has convinced me that people in Seattle DO like to eat! Friend and I went there yesterday, and we had sausages and brisket sandwiches and chili fries! Since moving here, I thought all I'd ever have to eat was salmon- but MAN this place was so good! The waitress was SUPER friendly too, and yep- There was a SPD officer enjoying some food and coffee in the corner table! Definitely will be going back there!

I went here in 2004 just prior to touring Safeco Field. We happened to run into it and decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did, the food was fresh and the beef dip was the best I've ever had - it was the marinade that made it flavorful and like nothing I've tried before or since. It was an old biker bar that they renovated and we had a great conversation with the owner, whose husband is a firefighter. Next time I go back to Seatlle, I plan to go here again.
