I've never eaten here but the rooftop deck is awesome! The music selection the night I came was fantastic too! The Polyrhythmics. I'll be back :)

the food is ridiculously overpriced, but it's actually pretty good in my opinion. the burgers are awesome and I've also had their chicken mac n cheese which was so good. happy hour on the rooftop bar is absolutely amazing with great views of the market and water, but there are a lot of obstructed views which are kind of eye sores. overall, the alcohol prices are great during hh and the atmosphere is fun on the rooftop.

Compared to other Hard Rock Cafes, this one is underwhelming in that the memorabilia is less-than-impressive (e.g., a signed (but presumably unused) guitar of Kurdt Cobain). But the food is pretty good and the booths are comfy. It's not a bad place to get a burger and a beer.

Shrimp linguine was pretty tasty. i think this place just opened recently. i've experienced better Hard Rock places (Japan may be my favorite one). I guess this place was ok since we were hungry...or more of our minds new it was time to eat since it was already around 9pm. staff did forget to bring my wine until i had to remind her. no further comments.

A friend and I finally made it to Hard Rock Cafe for happy hour the other night and we had a wonderful time. The location is just a short walk from work for both of us, right near the entrance to Pike Place Market. My friend arrived just a few minutes before 5:00 and got a table for two near the front windows in the bar right away. Happy hour prices aren't listed on the web site, but this is actually one of the better happy hours downtown, I think! Wine, well drinks and beer are all discounted, and appetizers are half off, making them about $5 each. The portions are huge, the food was delicious, and the service was really great. Our waitress came back frequently to check on us and was super duper friendly. We ordered the Tupelo Chicken Tenders, Santa Fe Springrolls, and Potato Skins. That combined with some Pino Grigo made a yummy dinner for the two of us. Ordering three appetizers turned out to be way too much, but even then we only ended up spending about $15 each for drinks and dinner. The bar was busy but not crowded and we had no problem at all carrying on a conversation. Hard Rock is definitely going on my list of go-to happy hours!

I give this place 5 stars because of my server, Joey. He was AWESOME! His food & beer recommendations were right on, he was super cool with my son, and I had a great conversation with him during our meal. I had nachos and they were really good. My son had the kids cheeseburger, didn't like it because it was grilled and tasted burned, ordering something else was super easy and they took the burger off our bill. All the staff were friendly and awesome.

It's a Hard Rock Cafe....what more is there to say? They all have the same food, same funky type of atmosphere. Same tattooed funky staff. Nothing wrong with that! I am glad that there is a Seattle location now. Perfect location overlooking the Pike area. It's not a super huge restaurant, but it works. I got the roasted veggie sandwich and it was actually not too bad. My only qualm would be that the bread was a bit over toasted. Prices are a little spendy for what you get, but to be expected at these places. My date had a fish sandwich that wasn't bad either. The food is average and the overall experience is just fine. Good for a late night bite to eat.

I was a guest for a private party that was held here at the Hard Rock Cafe. They provided an open bar and unlimited food for everyone. It. Was. Awesome. The food was great (chili calamari, bbq pork sliders, portebella sliders, potstickers - just to name a few). The drinks were even better. I had a good share of beers on tap and even a couple of blue cocktails they were promoting. The interior was fun and modern, which I didn't expect from the outside. The staff did a fantastic job and was really friendly the whole night.

The atmosphere is fun, the food is mediocre. I would prefer a home BBQed burger to the one that I got, and McDondalds or Red Robin fries over the ones from Hard Rock. But I guess if you're a tourist from out of town and want to eat an overpriced meal at an "iconic" restaurant then this is the spot for you. Pike Place Brewery is less than 2 blocks from here and way better!

I'll keep the negativity to a minimum because I feel like some people use Yelp as if it's a sounding board for their ex-girl or -boyfriend. I've been to several Hard Rock locations, and ended up visiting the rooftop for Happy Hour. 1) It's the smallest rooftop location I've ever been to. 2) Seating is impossible, and those who have seats smugly watch everyone until they realize they have to get up and possibly risk their seats to order another drink - the horror. 3) There is a single file line near the bar. I made a total faux pas by standing on the right hand side of the bar, to only be told rudely by the waiter that the line (which had 2 people in it) was on the left hand side. Anyway, not my favorite place. My company was fabulous and I have an affinity for margaritas, otherwise wouldn't have enjoyed this place at all.

First time here at this hard rock! Service is far better than many other restaurants in Seattle area! Their bruschetta appetizer is delicious! I highly recommend making this your final stop after your tour of pike place market!

I'll start with I've never been to another Hard Rock, so I'm not sure if all Hard Rocks are like this place, or this is in a league of its own. I participated in an event there last night and was underwhelmed from the start. The location, although great in theory (right next to Pike Place, across the street from 2 parking lots), is riddled with the homeless, mentally unstable and generally undesirable clientele. This makes getting to the establishment itself a little unsettling. I got to the place early and went upstairs to check to see if anyone had arrived yet. I made a quick pit-stop in the restroom and as I was exiting, I overheard a worker asking another "What time does this douche-bag party end tonight anyway?". Not a great start to the evening. When people arrived, the "douche-bag" commentator turned out to be our server, who, in reality, was quite nice and attentive. For slandering our existence, she sure put up a good front as everyone had good comments about her performance. Let's get to the meat of this though, shall we? The ambiance is well put together. PacNW Rock memorabilia decorates the dark wood walled, loud music playing rock-themed applebees. The decor itself was nice, but couldn't mask the fact that this was a TGI Fridays with Rock posters and guitars instead of garbage on the walls. The food was decent. Nothing that you couldn't find at any other Chili's, Texas Roadhouse, etc. Not bad, mind you. But not great either. All-in-all, the ambiance was decent, but I couldn't get past the fact that it reeked of a chain restaurant (ever see the movie "Waiting"?) and the food definitely wasn't meant to impress. I'd probably go back, but only for a happy hour and only if it was at someone else's request.

I didn't check reviews before coming here, as I have had fairly good experiences at Hard Rock (for a chain restaurant). The service was very good and we had very attentive staff. It was not overly loud and very clean. Food came out fast and was really good! The apple cobbler was tasty too.

this review is for the live band karaoke night upstairs on 5/8/2014. i would not recommend this place for karaoke. yuk! 1 of the two bathrooms on the 1st floor (street level) was out of order and the 2nd was messy and the soap dispenser was broken. the upstairs bathroom has sinks that seem smaller than airplane size (no joke) you can barely fit your hands in to wash them and I'm just an average sized guy (just a stupid stupid design choice). anyway the live band karaoke was not good. very limited in song choices for me. no current male pop/rock stuff. the guitarist was good on 8 of 10 songs unfortunately mine was not one of them. AND then they take 20 minute breaks. not sure why a karaoke band would need to do that. maybe a 5 min pee/smoke break i could see, but 20 minutes? you're better off going to a dedicated karaoke bar and having a good song selection and less chance of the music being off and at least a 50/50 chance of hearing yourself. :(

I was invited for Asian Pacific American Heritage Bash 2011 presented by Verizon at the Hard Rock Cafe. Hard Rock Cafe is a gorgeous venue plus a good looking staff. I read many of the negative reviews and didn't get the horrible service. They actually went beyond my expectation since it was very low coming in. This is a great location for a drink, party or grab a bite on the rooftop overlooking Pike and the Ocean. Once I walk in, I was greeted friendly from the host and she gave me VIP bracelets for me and to Jen B. We walk outsides to the 2nd floor and was greeted by Sean aka Mac-American because he has so many lines to pickup girls like Jen. lol He made a refreshing drink that was his concoction with grapefruit juice and jalapenos...very tasty & stiff. The 2nd floor design was beautiful but strange since the bar was the focal point right in the middle with large windows shining to them. The right side is where the bands was being setup but not enough seats or comfortable area where guest can interact with each other. I saw people seating on the window ledges or floors because the room was getting crowded like sardines with asian people. The party was getting dull and the music was hard to hear so me and Jen went downstairs to get food. We went to the bar because it was the easiest to get seating. Tony the Tiger (bartender) was awesome and gave good recommendation to food. He also went upstairs to ask Sean about the drink so he can make it for us. I got the appetizers sampler so I can sample all the food plus make a plate for Katy upstairs. The eggrolls, onion rings, fried potatoe skins, chicken with special sauce was pretty good. The APA Party was lame but no fault to Hard Rock because it save us from being bored upstairs and get some good grub at the bar!

  • Chelsea J.

The venue itself is very cool. Different than other Hard Rocks I've been to, with its own unique Seattle feel. However, I would be hard pressed to come to eat here. The onion rings were very good and reasonable as an appetizer at $5.50 for several rings. The rest of the food seems too expensive for its quality. Food is generally greasy and pretty average. The spring rolls were just okay, sliders pretty good for what they are. The high prices just don't justify the food quality for me. It would be fun to come for a drink and a snack and sit on the deck but I wouldn't come back for a whole meal.

I was working in Downtown, my wife and daughter happen to be in the area at the same time so we decided to go somewhere fun. Big mistake. Before I get started let me say that the staff was friendly, from the guy to walked us to the table to the person in the store. Are server, Scott, was great. After walking in the front door it took almost five minutes before somebody came to greet us and walk us to a table, I'm going to add that there was no other party in front of us. The atmosphere in all the Hard Rocks are always great and clean. We got our drinks pretty quickly but our food took almost 40 minutes to reach our table after ordering. My wife ordered the Classic 6 oz. Burger. She said the burger was good but was over seasoned. The whole burger wasn't over seasoned, just certain parts of it. I ordered the Local Legendary Burger. Our server asked if I wanted it pink or well done. I ordered the burger well done and it came pink all the way through. I'm not a fan of freezer burned fries so I didn't eat all of them. Besides the rare patty and frozen fries the burger was good, but not good enough to be a $15 burger. This one I'm saving for last, my daughter's order. She is healthy eating thing, which surprises me for an eight year old, so she ordered the Oven Roasted Chicken Salad with a side of carrots. First of all, how is it oven roasted when there are grill marks all over the chicken breast? Second, the chicken was raw. It is cut into bite size pieces so you would think the kitchen would notice that it is raw. Scott was apologetic and had the kitchen make a new salad, I told him it's not his fault. The second salad, the chicken was burnt to a crisp. Again, I don't understand the grill marks for oven roasted chicken. My daughter wasn't hungry anymore so she decided to take her salad home. The bill came and Scott explained that he took my daughter's over off the bill. I made sure to tip him as if it were a full bill. His service was great so I'm not going to punish his earnings based on the poor cooking. I took my receipt to the retail store to receive my souvenir glass that came with my drink. The woman in the store was very friendly with everybody. I will probably never come back here unless there is some show or if I'm in the area and need a drink. This area is so saturated with good food so I'm wondering if this place gets very many repeat customers, I'[m pretty sure it's the out of towners that keep places like this going. Let me finish by saying that by the time my daughter got home her stomach was hurting and she didn't look so well. We are now waiting at home, on a Friday night, to see if she becomes very sick.

Do not go there and expect good customer service. My friends and I went there for dinner when it was DEAD and yet we couldn't find anyone to seat us nor give us any attention after seating. After 15 minutes of waiting patiently at our tables, we finally decided to walk out of the empty restaurant with no problem since there's better places in Seattle then this crappy service we received.

Stumbled in on our way to the pike plaza- Nadine was absolutely phenomenal and took really good care of us at the bar- with food, drinks and navigating us around Seattle. We would come back again just to visit her. Thanks hard rock!

Just here for dinner! the waiter is soooo rudee!!! I ordered a mid-rare steak and they cook my stake too over well done. I called the waiter and told her that my steak is too well done and explain to her that I cannot eat it because it is too tough. she replied "Okay, you don't have to give me an attitude!!" What is thatt?? I asked her nicely and nicely explain to her the steak is too over done. after a little debate, which I do not need and very ruining my appetite, she went to the kitchen and have the steak re-fired. The food expeditor came and bring my perfectly mid-rare steak to my table, I was so happy and I thought I could forget those little debate with the waiter, named CHRISTIN. In the middle of my meal, she came back ask how my steak is very rudely. I did not response to her question because I do not want to ruin my meal, and my boyfriend replies to her but she keep disturbing me with her questions, and finally I answered to her. She did not like my way of answering her disturbing and annoying question, she said "you're done" and knocked my table. I was in the middle of eating my food. She then, gave the bill to my boyfriend, but I am the one who is paying. When she were back from charging my card, she said to my boyfriend "you have a good night". SHe directly looked at my boyfriend and ignored me. I have been to many restaurants both better and worse than Hard Rock. I never been treated like that. I even went to the very top steak restaurant in LA and said this thing to my waiter, my waiter was apologizing to me and have my steak re-fired immediately without asking question. Hard Rock is not the worst restaurant I have ever had for their steak, but the waiter, CHRISTIN, make my experience worse. That's why I only gave it one star.

I didn't look at the memorabilia...I just came for food...lol. My friend and I sat at the bar during happy hour. We had half off wines and beers and he ordered the happy hour nachos. I didn't see much on the happy hour menu I wanted- it was just the nachos, one other vegetarian dish and two chicken dishes for half price- not much selection. I decided to go with the shrimp fajitas. Ummm these portions are HUGE! My friend concluded that his $5 nachos could feed a family of 4. The food was decent- it was about what I would expect. I will definetely get the nachos during happy hour next time, but I'm pretty sure there was nothing else I really would eat, being a pescatarian and all. The service was good as well. Everything here was about average- on par with what I expected.

we just stopped in so i could order a shot and collect my glass (to add to my 19 other HRC shotglasses. the gal bartender, nadine, was excellent. she was busy, let us know she saw us come in, and gave a great suggestion for a shot. B-52. one off my favorites. service, friendliness, professionalism...EXCELLENT!!

I went to the EE here and enjoyed myself with my friends and fellow Yelpers. That said, it's a HRC, don't expect variations in the menu or anything spectacular. The food was standard diner fare: burgers, chicken tenders, fries, et al. - all served to us by cheerful employees who were super nice. I enjoyed the rooftop patio with its views of the Sound and Pike Place. People-watching was also a lot of fun from that vantage point.

On my first visit here, I wasn't expecting much and they did a great job of almost meeting those expectations. Yes, that is a negative comment. My experience started out decent enough as I was seated quickly and then...that was about it. My server seemed to pay attention to just about everything but me although she was friendly enough when she did find her way to my table. After successfully ordering, my food was brought out in a reasonable amount of time and then I did not see her at my table again until i had pushed my plate aside with the napkin on it. No checking to see how everything was and no offer of a soda refill even though I had pushed the empty glass out to the edge of the table. The burger I ordered, which is apparently their famous signature burger is best described as bland and extremely ordinary. The one saving grace here was the bacon which actually had a good flavor to it. The fries were basic french fries which I'm not really in to anyway so no big deal there. I will say the burger was very big but that was expected given the high price tag. To finish off my experience here, my card was ran and the receipt was brought back for me to sign in surprisingly quick fashion although I was actually then not surprised at all when the total charged was wrong. I will say the error was quickly corrected and I was able to exit without any more issues. I have read good and bad reviews here on Yelp and I'm sure there are people that enjoy their time at the Hard Rock, but unfortunately I had a very sub par experience which is more magnified by the high price tags on the menu. Maybe I'll give them another try but i won't be in any hurry to do so. One last positive thing I will add in closing...Flexy Straws!

This location clearly caters to the tourist crowd, as it's steps away from Pikes Place Market. I went on a Thursday evening to checkout the rooftop bar. The views are incredible, the decor is cool with grass floors, the bartenders were slow, and the clientele was douchey company-happy-hour types and/or groups of tourists gathering for drinks. My friends and I were going to order food there, but the food we saw other groups eating looked awful so we went elsewhere. The rest of the restaurant was empty, which I assume says something about the place. Net, I'd go back again ONLY if I rented out the entire rooftop for a private party.

We were out walking around before dinner and decided to grab a drink here, BF had not been here and there was a good window seat in the bar area. We had such a good time! Bartenders were great and attentive, Drinks were strong and delish- ended up spending some time and $ here. I give only 3 stars as the prices are a bit high and I haven't tried the food- aside from the Yelp elite event a while ago. I will be back with out of towners! there is some seriously cool stuff there! Kurt & Courtney's wedding cake topper! so cool!

Went to Happy Hour on a Sunday a while back. While our server was nice and attentive, and the prices were good, it was just...OK. They didn't have a full wine/drinks menu which was rather annoying. I might give this place another go next time, but we'll see...

I decided to try The Hard Rock Cafe at lunch prior to the EE that evening and check it out... Annnd I haven't done a scorecard type thingy since Cham's, so I'll do one here: Facility: C'mon now, don't kid yourself, this place phucking ROCKS! The open kitchen. The music in the airwaves, the memorabilia, the dark, modern, earthy tones, the cushion-y bench seating, even the bathroom rawks. Some might think it's overkill, but mgmt posted 2 messages for Emp's washing hands: 2 twice before leaving and another to proceed to hand wash station afterwards. Also, I think this next feature makes it super-ADA-compliant: a hand-assisted bar between the toilet and sink. Most, if not all, places I've been to that are handicap friendly only 1 bar within 3 ft of one side. With this effortless railing you swing down, now you have support from both sides. I think this equals WIN for the handicap/disabled. Also, adequately offset-height soap dispensers. Food: I wanted to try something really good, so the semi-boneless Hawaiian chicken with cheddar mashed 'tatoes and steamed(?) broc sounded good... I liked the flavor of the chicken, but probably just above-average. I mixed it all up as best I could while picking away the bones and that was yummy. The cheddar in the mashed potatoes might jump out at you at first. Other stuff sounds good. Service: Joey/Joseph was the server. He was friendly, cool and welcoming, but I noticed once he gets into a conversation, he'll be [at that table] a bit. He took my bill then engaged in a lengthy convo with the table directly across from me, while I was waiting. So, just a heads up, folks. First Impression: The greeter/host was somewhat too mellow. While directing to my bench seat table, he asked if I'd been there before, followed by some short intro to the HRC. And once I entered, I knew it was definitely one of those "Paying more for the experience" type of restaurants. Bottom line: Leave your budget-mind at the front door, and enjoy the HRC for what makes it fun, unique and stands out from the crowd.

We were in with a group for a bachelorette party this last Saturday! The girls working at the bar on the second floor were great! Helped us with all our silly questions and offering to take a group photo of all of us! Kelli, Krystal and Heidi you ladies ROCK! When you come in ask for them they will be sure to take good care of you! Late night Happy hour is pretty fantastic too!!

This was the first time I've eaten here and the service was just...slow. Our server wasn't the best it took about 15 minutes to get our order taken and then when our food arrived everything was cold. We didn't order anything fancy, just burgers and fries. Umm, it wasn't even busy inside! Oh well, the only thing about this place is that it's convenient.

We came back again after the Yelp Elite event, this time with my entire family. Several members of the staff remembered us from the event and treated us like we were rock stars! My son was completely in awe of the rock and roll atmosphere, and loved the treatment we received. He ordered pasta with red sauce, and I swear that food just vaporized, because I sure as heck didn't see him eat it. I ordered a Granny Smith Apple and Provolone Burger and jinkies, it was Scoobie Doobie Good! The burger patty was friggin huge, and the whole burger was so messy that I had to eat it with a fork. Mama always said you can tell a good burger by how messy it is! My boyfriend ordered the hickory bbq burger, but he was braver than I and chose to eat it with his hands -- which is like Super Hero Brave, because that burger was messier than mine. Our drink glasses were never empty, and our waiter was very friendly. At one point, the manager even came over and sat with us. He was quite pleased that we came back so soon after the event! We don't normally do this, but since we were using a 50% off coupon, we decided to get some dessert. My son ordered a sundae, while Brad and I chose to split an apple cobbler. My son's sundae was H-U-G-E, but I know that wasn't vaporized because he was wearing it all over his face! Our cobbler was out of this world delicious! The flavors, and the ice cream made us show our "OH" faces. Perhaps the highlight of the whole evening was sharing the memorabilia experience with my son. He was really into the interactive display near the store. I was so impressed by the service, quality of food, and the experience as a whole that I would go back again -- and recommend it to any friend, family member, or fellow Yelper!

I didn't get a chance to eat the food or go up to the roof top patio area; we went for the music. The space is actually pretty nice. Yeah, it has that chain feel to it, but it was fine. They put some local music memorabilia touches as decor which was nice. I went to see my brother's band there, so I am a little biased, but to hear him excited to play among Jimi Hendrix guitar was kinda cool and to watch him play with the Hard Rock logo behind him brought a sense of "big brother pride" that a normal bar can't do. The acoustics were fine. It was not that "echoy". The venue for the music is pretty intimate, not too small though. There is plenty of room to dance if you do that... I don't. The bar and table setup is pretty good too. The drinks were strong and the staff was OK. I am going to give this place a chance.

2 stars! Horrible slow service had to beg for extra water refills, no silverware on the table, not Gluten free friendly....they didnt even know what it was. Food was not that great either. The wall memobelia was cool but go to the emp musuem instead for that.

The comments about the restrooms are regrettably TRUE. I really can't believe they can have just one restroom per gender. Seriously. Sidebar: Gentlemen, please pee INTO the toilet and not in FRONT of it. I had to use the man's room because the lady's room was taking too long. I threw down wads of toilet paper to see where I should NOT stand and took care of business. Of course decorating the man's room floor (sorry HRC cleaning crew!) took a while and when I exited, there were two guys there giving me the "women take forever in the restroom" look. Hey, if you went where you should, I wouldn't have taken long. :P Other comment confirmed as true: FLAT SODA. I ordered a Diet Coke (alas, no Coke Zero) and it arrived with very tiny, slow bubbles creeping up the side of the cup. No fizz tickling your nose as you sip. While the waitress was answering our questions, I took the time to take several tastes and determined, yes..this soda is flat. I told her so (nicely) and asked to just have plain water then. She looked confused, but granted my request. Otherwise, service was pretty good. We asked to move from a table to a booth, I returned a flat soda, we questioned her about the entrees and dessert selections (with some friendly banter among ourselves which was probably just annoying to her while she waited for us), but she took it quite well and patiently. Oh, the hostess people at the front were kind of obnoxious though, it was a mix of being too casual and not professional enough if that makes sense. They won't seat you unless your whole party is there. The food, was meh. I'd say Red Robin is better. I got their bbq sandwich, which was just room temperature and the bbq sauce was more ketchup than bbq-y. The fries were decent. Others thought their sandwiches was ok, and our main guest of honor really enjoyed his chicken and mac&cheese dish, so this is passable. The desserts, cheesecakes specifically, were served in double-shot-sized glasses? It was odd. I prefer seeing slices of cheesecake, but the guest of honor who ordered it enjoyed it. The ambiance was loud, which is expected. The touch screen was fun to play with for about 2mins. I didn't see that 'electronic leash' thingie for our waitress and I was ok about that. We walked through to the gift shop afterwards and looked at over-priced merchandise before finding somewhere else to get dessert! I don't plan on coming back here ever. It's not my scene, but it's not like they are hurting for business either!

Well, my brother and I walked in and were seated almost immediately. However, despite the fact that there were plenty of open booths that were the appropriate size for two people, we were led all the way to the back to the restaurant, up some stairs, and right to a table next to a wall, surrounded by large tables packed full of people. A pretty awful location. And it seemed even more awful considering how many other tables with better locations were available. We opened our menus to find that burgers cost $14.75 and everything else cost even more than that. We looked at each other and both got up and walked out.

Came here for the 2nd time on Sunday. The first time I didn't like what I got to eat but I figured I'd give it another try. I'm giving it a 2 and never coming here again because it took them 20 minutes to bring us our beers. Some of us got appetizers and when the food was brought out (not by our original server) they didn't take away the dirty plates or ask us if we need anything. They just dropped off the food and that's it. I had to flag someone down to ask for ranch and ketchup. I got the cod and chips and it was good but not the best. 2 of my friends ordered the same hamburger and they didn't even eat half. I can excuse the bad service because they might have been understaffed, but if the food isn't good, why go back again?

I had an amazing time here last Saturday. We had the coolest server, smiling away, chatting up with the customers making sure everyone is having a good time..wish I could remember his name! I look forward to my next trip to Seattle and stopping by here!

Dang it! I was willing to accept that this was a chain restaurant with a certain shtick when I came here, but the last three times I have been here this month have all been disappointing in terms of food and service, which is really too bad considering I really appreciate how much they seem to support local music. Food: lack-luster and just plain crazy that they stop taking orders before a show starts. I have worked at night clubs before that don't do that and there was minimal confusion. You just have to take cards and have capable wait staff you trust. Speaking of wait-staff...wow. At one point there were four people behind the bar on two of the occasions I came here and there was a ton of motion, but not a whole lot of action out of them. I can't believe how much money they miss out on in terms of number of pours and also tips considering there was a person for every side of the bar, yet the service was slow and there was no particular order as to how they helped people. Get organized, multi-task, and work together. They all seemed nice enough, just not a well-oiled machine by any means. While I may go back to this establishment to watch music, I will be sure to grab a bite to eat before or afterwards someplace else, and not hold my breath that the cocktail services will be any better. Seems like a number of people have posted this kind of a review though...so I am hoping improvements are made.

We've been here several times for our son's Rockcital and we've had a great time each time. Really like the atmosphere and the memorabilia. The food is good, nothing great, but good for a chain restaurant. The service is good. They were very busy and they did a good job of covering for each other which was appreciated.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO the hours are wrong...at least for the day that I went; they closed at 9:30 ..not 2am.. anyways, I was expecting a little more.....okay...A LOT more.. The 3 stars is basically for our server who was AWESOME. The food was the bad part. The "mac and cheese remix" was not very "remix"ed except for the fact that there was some chicken on top of it. The cheese that they used was not good at all, not tasty what so ever. My grilled wild salmon on the other hand was lovely. The rice went well with my salmon but the broccoli was absolutely TASTELESS. I probably will be back because of my great experience with my server and also for their rooftop seating during the summer time! :)

Hard Rock Cafe only gets 2 stars from me. The waitress was fine, atmosphere fine, but the food was sub-par and disappointing. I ordered a chop salad. When it arrived, the lettuce was wilted and turning brown- the type of lettuce I usually throw away at home because it's getting old. The bacon was pretty much non-existent and the rest of the toppings were just bland and ok. As far as the bathrooms they're unisex and they only have 2. I don't know about other ladies, but I don't want to use the same bathroom as guys who splatter everywhere. When the bill came- $60 for 2 of us who didn't even order any drinks- I was surprised. High prices for poor to average food. I won't be back.

This place obviously has memorabilia from every rock star born in Seattle and is a world-famous rock-themed establishment, but I wasn't too fond of the prices or how they seemed to always manage to plug their gift shop. A typical burger in Seattle is $5 or $6. A burger here starts at $11 with the same ingredients and the same quality and overall taste. I just felt like I was being ripped off simply by entering this place. "Come for the memorabilia, leave for the high prices" is my motto for this place. Yes, that's a bad motto.

I've been here to see a couple of shows which is really the only reason I would ever go. Touristy spots in the town I've lived my whole life in are not generally a big draw for me. That being said, as a venue it's a great place to see a show! The sound is amazing, loud but perfectly pitched. It's clean and the bathrooms are not the terrifying stuff of nightmares that they usually are at other spots (Neumos I'm looking at you!). I've also had good luck with the service, as I've always ordered directly at the bar. The bartenders seem to genuinely enjoy live music, where approachable, and efficient. I had some appetizers the first time I went there but they were mediocre at best so I probably won't eat there again. The protocol is a little weird-I kept seeing what I assumed to be servers running food to tables but no one came by to take an order. It'd been good if they provided a bit more direction on how to get stuff (aka a sign saying "order at the bar and we'll bring you your food") but if you watch for a few minutes you can figure it out. All things considered, definitely a place I'll go to see a friend's band play, not a place I'd go for dinner.

Awesome Customer Service! The bartenders here know what they are doing and care about what they are doing. They remember your face and that is what we need more in restaurants. If you get served by Tony you will be happy!

I went here after the Comicon to see a show. In the time between, my friend and I ate dinner here. I used to like the Hard Rock Cafe in the early 90s - they had a great Veggie burger. I used to go to the one at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles because it was close to where I lived and connected to the mall. But since then, I tend to stay away from tourist traps so I haven't been to another Hard Rock Cafe for the past 15 years (the only other Hard Rock Cafe I remember going to was in Honolulu, and that was in the early 90s as well). I can't say if the super long wait at the Seattle location was because it was a typical saturday, or because of the Comicon - so I can't really make a fair comment on that. But, I did wait at the bar, and it took about 15 minutes and frantic waving to get the attention of one of the bartenders. There were two - one who was chatting with a group of people and one that was actually serving drinks. It was absolutely packed, so I was definitely annoyed that one of the bartenders was doing nothing, while the other one was working her butt off. I ordered the "Classic Hard Rock Burger" - or something along those lines. It was just the "regular" hamburger. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't spectacular. The food did come fast, and our waiter was nice. But that isn't enough for me to come here again unless someone out of town visits and requests specifically to go there. The upstairs, where the show was, was a good venue. It was small, so I was able to get right up to the stage. They also had booths around the sides of the room and some few tall tables with stools. The bar was in the center, and again, I didn't have a great experience getting drinks. The waitress kept insisting that I start a tab, even though I had told her "no" twice before. All in all, I thought the drink service sucked. The dinner service was great. The food itself was very average and certainly overpriced (the drinks were overpriced as well). The Hard Rock Cafe is a tourist destination, and if that is what you want, you will definitely get that.

The terrace on the 3rd floor is amazing and they have an awesome happy hour on the 2nd floor too. I believe it's always HH when it's raining, which is a lot here in Seattle. I've been to events here as well and it's a really great space to host a function.

I don't understand how a place the size of hard rock only has one bathroom. Not one bathroom stall, one bathroom. If you really have to use the bathroom, you have been warned. Out waiter Jason was very friendly and was attentive to my friend and I. I thought the buzzer thing on our table was pretty cool. I agree the food is pretty over priced for what it was. But I may give it a try again in the future.

I really don't know what people are looking for when they go here. It's one of the few restaurants open on the late night tip, so left with no options after a movie we went. It's alright...I liked my Greek salad, french fries, and wahito just fine. In fact they were pretty tasty. I could have done without the calorie counts next to the menu items. The memorabilia stuff is cool. But the overall feel is pretty generic. I think the best they have to offer is a good happy hour and rooftop deck in the summer. Otherwise there are so many other dinner places in the area, psst. Ailibi Room, that I would recommend them over Hard Rock.

Really? Does Seattle really need a Hard Rock to part of other major cities? We can do better than this. About 15 friends and myself all came here for a friend's birthday party, and had part of the dance floor upstairs reserved for our use. Being our group was rather large, we did have reservations but our head server was obviously perturbed with how/where to seat us all. Waitstaff is completely oblivious to whatever else is going on - we had to stop and ask several random waiter's for the check. Food - its what you'd expect from a mediocre franchise. Drinks are all made from mixes, few vegetarian items, burgers, shakes, fries, etc. Same goes for the decor-ambiance. The dance floor upstairs is a nice open space, but really boring. Hardly anyone was dancing except for a few random greasy guys. The outdoor patio was rather nice to sit and chill by one of the firesides, but again nothing complementary. Its like McDonald's, you know what you get and its the basic on all levels.

THIS IS A GREAT HH JOINT! Micros $2.90 on HH!!!!! Holy F! House Merlot for $3.40!! Fut the wuck? 10 Buffalo chicken wings for 5 bucks? Oh, and it goes until 7, is this ish for real??? The bar and door staff are friendly as all get out too! Hard Rock did a great job of remodeling the inside, and there's so many cool artifacts to brows. Hit the Rock again!

went here for the happy hour before a concert and was a little disappointed with the way it went. we had terrible service, we went to the second level at the very start of happy hour, when we got there we were the only the second table seated. by the time our food came (1 plate of wings) 5 other tables had their food on the table... they also only had 1 waitress for what seemed like the entire floor which probably accounts for the lack of service. the only reason i will be back is the food was surprising good and the happy hour prices for the quality of food you get is hard to beet.

I was visiting Seattle for the first time and saw that there is a hard rock here so I decided to stop in. The food was good not great and our server was nice and friendly. The service was fair. I do not understand some of the complaints considering my time here was good. Stop in if you enjoy Hard Rock Cafe.

For the price and the wait i've experienced much more better than this. Wait : 1.5 hours, another 30 mins for the food to arrive Overly priced for uninspired food,my SOB burger was undercooked and it tasted like the meat wasn't seasoned at all it was bland and sad,the fries were ok,and according to my GF the drink she had was water with sugar eww good thing i stuck with water, the place is big and just he typical stuff i wonder if tall the stuff they have is real or they just hang up fake stuff? if your a tourist will be okay seattlelite i doubt you'll like it i wouldn't come back unless i get invited again ipb

The food is good overall (some dishes are hit and miss), and the service is usually very friendly, too. But for the high price tags, I'd expect more. I'm rarely especially impressed by their food, as I tend to enjoy it while I'm eating it, and then later forget what I had. (That being said, a few awesome things are hiding on the menu, such as the Three Cheese Burger.) Recently, I decided to dine here during the nighttime hours (wish I could remember which day it was). I understand that they want to keep their atmosphere fun and rock n' roll, but even though we were on the first floor and in a secluded corner, my friend and I could barely hear each other talk. We both lost our voices trying to speak over the crazy loud music, and that's a mistake I won't ever make again. Maybe I'm just not 'hip' enough to appreciate the faux concert vibe. UPDATE (7/14): OK, that does it. I'm updating my review. Why? Because I've been here quite a few more times now, and every single time I've had good service (last time, I had GREAT service), reliably good drinks, and I can always count on this place for a reliably satisfying, mean burger. A few items I'd still give a pass on for the menu, but it's proving to be a solid choice. With a much more conversational, comfortable level of noise since my first visit, too.

Food is ALWAYS yum - and they will work with you if you dont think so. The drinks are DELISH. We have gone here many times, though the time that sticks out in my mind was my sisters 21st. We came just for dinner, but ended up spending most of the night there because the bartender was so fun and kept the drinks coming. He gave us a screaming deal and kept the night interesting and fun. I have never had a problem with servers or food. The only CON is the loudness.

I'm a bit of a Hard Rock aficionado. I don't usually eat there but I do love to collect the guitar pins which means I typically stop in one if there's one in whatever city I am visiting. This one, while lacking the charms of many West Coast HRCs, it definitely has its upsides. The view from the rooftop bar is amazing. Honestly, this is one of the coolest spots in town. The drinks aren't outrageously priced and they have some decent beer. The bartender was pretty awesome too and there were fire pits to keep us warm. The people in this HRC are better than your average crowd. I only say that because there were about 5 Sounders hanging out on the rooftop while I was there. Other than Nate Jaqua, everyone there was awesome. Mike Fucito knows how to chat up the ladies too, it would appear. The other cool thing about this place is the Microsoft Surface tables they have in the bar downstairs. These things are awesome and worth the trip just to play with them. The location is great. Despite being in the middle of the tourist area, it is still in the heart of downtown and a short walk for most people who work downtown. As far as a place to go after work for drinks, I think it is top notch. Now the downside part includes all of the obvious: it is a corporate chain restaurant that is stealing business away from local spots like Pike Place Brewery and every other restaurant by the market. The food pretty much sucks. There is not nearly enough Seattle-rock memorabilia inside. All in all, this is a great place to hang out on a Friday night after work but before you go eat somewhere decent like Steelhead or Lecosho.

My Hard Rock History...so started collecting shot glasses along time ago...I like to drink at Hard Rocks around the world...I don't know why but I have always have had a good time...Usually I meet people from all over the world when I am in the bar hanging out and we have good conversations snap back to Seattle...so I was a little bit worried that it might not be the same in my home town... Grand Opening today .. .I arrived around 4 pm... I walked in and saw a great looking restaurant. but I looked to the right and saw a tiny packed bar...I thought , "this is it?"...I guess I will have a beer and a shot and call it good.... After I found a seat, had a beer and shot the waiter told me that the second floor would open in a week or so and the top floor would be open in a month and to go check it out..."What?"....I walked up stairs to see a wonderful bar with a view of Pike's market.... The third floor outdoor patio with views of the Sound and Pike's Place. This will defiantly be the new hot spot downtown for Happy hour and before you head out on the town. Oh yea...I had the "Local" burger (Espresso Rub and a jalapeno pepper on top) and it was pretty tasty...I think I could have had it cut it in half and I would have had plenty to eat.

This place is amazing! I found the food delicious ( I had the hickory bacon burger ) the waiters were friendly they had lots of memorabilia ( it was almost like a museum of rock ) and they had a wide variety of food and drinks on their menu. I would say everything about this place was great except I couldn't hear my friends from across the table, we had to yell because the music was so loud, they had great song choices though!

No one goes to the Hard Rock for food. If you are, you either have damaged taste buds or you are kidding yourself. Like every other Hard Rock on the planet, this one is noisy, very overpriced and serves mediocre food. There are no deals here, and that includes the $15 drink that comes with a souvenir glass (that you'll probably never use again). Going into it and knowing all of this, I was neither displeased nor impressed with the Hard Rock. I ended up there twice in a week thanks to two different sets of out of town friends that just had to visit this new "iconic" restaurant. (Yes, I was snickering as I typed that.) There are multiple levels (I hear the rooftop is awesome, but it was closed due to a special event the time we tried to go up), and the interior is stocked with various items of Seattle's music scene (read: heavy on the grunge). Both times I *was* pleasantly surprised by the service. The servers were friendly and relatively attentive. There is some sort of contraption on the table to summon them when you need them, but neither ever explained it, and we never bothered with it. I did hear that Sir Mix-A-Lot is a regular, so maybe that alone makes it worth accompanying your out of towners that just *have* to visit?

I've said for years: the only time I enjoy going to a Hard Rock Cafe is when I'm overseas & jonesing for some American food. But after being recently being impressed by the HRC in Hollywood, FL (yes, where Anna Nicole Smith died) & hearing this was the Grand Opening weekend for the Seattle location, we decided to give it a try. There was no line outside, and we were told by the hostess the wait would be 20-25 mins - but "they always overestimate, so it'll probably be less." We took the chance & went to the bar upstairs (drinks only - no food service). There were only 2 bartenders working this bar, & I felt their service was slow for a Saturday, much less opening, night. But the drinks were good - ample alcohol. The second floor itself was rather empty, seeing as how this is the band venue - more open space than seating. We checked out the memorabilia up here, since we wouldn't be in anyone's way - seems HRC tried to tie everything into Seattle. We also tried the cell phone tour - call a number & you'll get more info about the exhibits. But, do you think you can *really* hear a prerecorded voice on a cell phone in the HRC that's blasting music? Nice try, but it doesn't work. Our "20-25 minute wait" was closer to an hour, but we were seated at a large table with a touch screen. Cool! We loved voting on which song will be heard in the restaurant! Our server was Sean (with the red star tattoo - there are a few people with that name) & he was super-attentive. We didn't even have to use the ESP notifier. (Are all HRCs this techie these days?) Before I get to the food, let me mention that in this lower main area, where the restaurant is, there is only ONE bathroom stall for women & one for men. Yep, ONE. How ridiculous is that? Isn't there some law about this? We were starving, so we started off with the BBQ chicken wings, which were way spicy. For our entrees, I ordered the shrimp linguini, & my friend ordered the BBQ ribs. Our plates came out cold - I mean, hardly even nuked. It was like they were taken out of the fridge, sat on a plate warmer for a minute & served. And on my plate, there was a long hair! Eeek! Sean replaced it immediately, was very apologetic, gave me a new entree & comped it. As much as I am grateful to Sean, this second dish was also cold! We told Sean about this, who seemed to have felt really bad - he even paid for our dessert. He also sent over a manager (Shawn) who listened to our complaints & was "going to act on it right away." We really wanted to like HRC, and yes, I understand it's a corporate chain, there's always a wait, the food is pricey & always sucks, yaddayadda. I expected all that. But seriously... on opening weekend, you'd expect the food to be at least served HOT. At least that part, they couldve gotten right. BTW, as for bringing kids - just remember that the music is played LOUD. There were quite a few babies & toddlers there that who seemed annoyed by the loud music. (Just wanted to mention that to all the other parents of young ones! :) Will I return? Probably not for a dinner (novelty is gone after 1st couple weeks ;), but maybe to see a band. There are much better food choices in the area, for the same price. And probably served hot.

I know people don't come to Hard Rock Cafe for the food, but nonetheless, I have to say that the food was TERRIBLE. Every sports bar with mediocre food that I've been to in Seattle has better food than Hard Rock Cafe. I shelled out $21 for the worst lunch I've had in months. The waitress was incredibly obnoxious but not terribly quick. She tried to make jokes with everyone at the table, but nobody appreciated her humor. The atmosphere and music weren't better than anywhere else I've been either. The highlight of my meal was the Microsoft Surface on the table, but the limited features (think 9-piece jigsaw puzzles and 4x4 memory games) didn't really hold my attention for too long either!

Definitely has to be 2nd to the worst HR cafe I've visited. 1) the place is freakin small 2) service from the server was terrible 3) food was ewww 4) atmosphere, just didn't feel like HR.

I ate here on a Wednesday with my boyfriend and it was pretty empty. We were walking around Pike Place really hungry looking for a place to eat when we found ourselves in front of the Hard Rock. We haven't ate at a HRC in years and decided to dine there. We got seated right away in a booth. The booths were equipped with touch screens showing off artists' memorabilia. I ordered the California Burger and my boyfriend got the Turkey Burger. I felt like my burger was really greasy that it kept sliding apart. I was really hungry though that I finished my entire plate. A con for this place is the fact that the bathroom is really far! You have to walk up the stairs to the second floor just to use the restroom. This place has 3 floors, I believe. When I went up to use the restroom there was a live performance and you can hear them through the speakers in the bathrooms. A funny part is that they have "happy hour until it stops raining" which obviously in Seattle it's always raining.

Okay so keep in mind this review is the aftermath of lots of hype surrounding their rooftop deck. lame... I mean I enjoy a roof top deck as much as the next person but seriously Hard Rock? When you think of a Hard Rock Cafe, don't you think of hard partying rock stars? I do. Don't you also think of music? I do. This is how I decided on 2 stars: I walked up the stairs to the roof top deck and looked around. The roof is pretty stylish and comfortable so they started out as a 4 star. Then I walked around, and realized there wasn't much of a view, just some guy in his apartment changing his clothes; 3 stars. Oo but there is Pike Place Market; back up to 4 stars. Why is the music so low, I asked myself, I can barely hear it, therefor no dancing; 3 stars. 10:45pm rolls around and they tell people to close their tabs because they close at 11pm; WHAT!?; 2 stars. Not what I expected. The view(or lack there of) is forgivable, but the lack of music and closing early is just a disappointment.

We came here around 11:00 pm last night for dessert. This was our second choice, because we had been craving cheescake from The Cheesecake Factory. Unfortunately for us The Cheesecake Factory had just closed before we got there :( So, we huffed it back towards Pike's Place looking for restaurants that were open and served desserts. Hard Rock met this criteria. We had been here previously with our kids in tow during an afternoon outing, and this is just like any other Hard Rock....music memorabilia, old school music videos, overpriced/average food. Our waiter last night was friendly. We ordered drinks and desserts. I ordered a mudslide, which was not on the menu, but they were accommodating and managed to mix one up for me. My husband and I ordered the fresh apple cobbler....yummy. This was so good, warm crisp cobbler, with melting vanilla ice cream drizzled in caramel. Yeah...delicious. Our friends ordered the dessert bites, which were surprisingly big and tasty. This isn't the best offering from Seattle, but it was open late and serves a full menu.

I have always been put off by any restaurant that sells souvenir T shirts. But, a few months ago my teenager talked me going into the Hard Rock in Hollywood and the food was pretty good. So on his birthday, we all went to the Seattle Hard Rock to check it out. The food was still pretty good although it is probably a little overpriced for what it is. My hamburger was fine, the pasta was just like the Hollywood hard rock. But that isn't what bothers me. Why don't they have music every night? I actually went to this place to see a friend's band when the place first opened up. It looked like it was going to become another great place to watch music downtown. Nope. Music is an afterthought at this place. They have 1 event a week at the most. They have a great space and they would get way more business if they got someone booked every night. Seattle is different from a lot of other Hard Rock towns. We enjoy live music and will support it. Give it a shot Hard Rock. Book the acts and advertise and we will be there.

I'm a sucker for Hard Rock Cafe. True, their food is just mediocre but it's the whole idea of the place that I like. I enjoy visiting a Hard Rock in any city I go to so I think it's just a sentimental place for me. The one in Seattle has a rooftop bar and it pretty much rules. It was hotter than you know what on Saturday but we still really enjoyed ourselves on the roof. The bartenders love to push the doubles when you order drinks but hey, I'm not complaining. I can't wait to go back.

Meh. Unfortunately, the Hard Rock in Seattle is probably the least memorable Hard Rock that I have visited. The Food: It was just OK. I feel it is generally overpriced considering the variety of options available in Seattle. If you are going to call your burgers legendary and charge like it...they should blow you away. The service was sufficient. Friendly enough, but nothing memorable. Decor/Memorabilia: Memorabilia wise it felt like the bare minimum. Seattle is a city with an long and diverse musical past. The memorabilia felt like they ordered the Out-of-Towner Grunge Starter Pack and slapped up on the wall. There are a couple of cool pieces, but there is plenty of room for improvement here. Will I go back? Probably, but I don't have in my list of top Seattle destinations by any means. I hope they find a way to crank it up to 11 so I can add some stars...

I've been in here quite a few times since they opened. It's a Hard Rock Cafe. It's certainly not the best place in the area but there's nothing inherently wrong with it either. The menu is standard big box restaurant stuff. The wait staff has always been friendly and helpful. It's a little strange that there's only one restroom on the main floor. It's a little on the pricey side but this isn't in a low rent neighborhood either being only block away from Pike Place Market. There are some pluses to this Hard Rock though and they are BIG pluses. The location is conveniently located right downtown. It's a good central meet up spot, which I why I usually end up here. The restaurant is really beautiful. They did an nice job with all the decor and Seattle rock memorabilia. If it's a sunny day and the rooftop deck is open you must go! They have a HUGE deck overlooking Pike Place Market and Puget Sound. There are a couple fire pits and lots of lounge patio furniture. There's a bar up there as well and limited appetizer menu. You'd be hard pressed to find a better place to enjoy a happy hour drink after work. 3 stars over all. 5+ stars for the rooftop deck in the Summer.

I am usually not a huge fan of chain bars and restaurants, but I have had a few good experiences at different Hardrock Cafes in the past so my wife and I wandered into this one right near the Pike place market. We were greeted right away and treated more like a local than a tourist which I really liked alot. They did not have a huge beer selection but what they did have was very good and the bartender was great, very friendly and she let us know about a few other good bars and pubs near our hotel. This visit to Seattle was to watch my Rams play (get whooped =( ) by the Seahawks right around Christmas. Well we both loved Seattle, and the beer and food so much we came back for another week in the summer. He we were 8 months later in the Hardrock Cafe and the same bartender remembered us and we remembered her, now that was nice!

Like all other Hard Rock Cafe this place has the standard menu but I was surprised why such less memorabilia of Kurt Kobain... He was from Seattle and I thought there would be more of his stuff or jimmy Hendrix but I was disappointed. However I like their buffalo wings with ranch.

The Hard Rock Cafés were all the rage in the eighties. People, including myself would seek out the HRC in their travels to collect a tee shirt denoting the location city, collecting as many as possible. Seems somewhat passé now. I visited the Seattle HRC this week for my 1st time. Although a tourist trap, I enjoy looking at the memorabilia, especially the items indigenous to the area, in this case Seattle's grunge rock era. Food and service was mediocre at best. The bar was not crowded but getting a beer and my change took an inordinate amount of time. We ordered some burgers, the place was almost empty but it was almost 30 minutes before the food arrived. The burger was just warm, the fries as cold as my beer. However the avocado spread on the burger was good.

We went on a Sunday evening and the restaurant seemed semi busy but nothing extreme. The hostess seemed incompetent of seating the guest which set up our visit for failure at the very beginning. It took 10 minutes to get our drinks and when the waitress finally came over to take our orders it took 25 minutes for us to receive our food. My boyfriends pasta was ice cold, the garlic bread had not even been toasted, my NY strip had more parts fat than it did meat, and our friends fajitas didn't even come out hot! Our server came back one time after taking our orders to ask if we were ready for our checks, never asking if everything came out okay or if we needed anything else for our meals or if we would like dessert. On top of horrible service and unsatisfying food, for 2 alcoholic beverages and 2 entrees our bill was $77! I work in the service industry and that is the only reason I tipped 20% but I will never go back and I would never recommend any of my friends to visit the hard rock of Seattle, WA.

Very mediocre food (I had a tasteless and dry burger) at not-low prices. ($10.50 for a 6 oz burger w/ fries; $14.75 for 10 oz burgers. $11 - $15 for salads.) Avoid!

Great rooftop patio - beautiful waterfront views, perfect for sunset HH. Cozy rooftop gets crowded, seating is limited but nice - fire pits are perfect for brisker evenings. Decent bartenders.

Rock me Rock me Rock me sexy Jesus!!!!! I met up with a few friends here for a happy hour in which they were to meet my new beau and we had a wonderful time here. The food was good happy hour food and the conversation was even better! Great people working the joint and as far as corporate food flies, Hard Rock Cafe would pummel Applebee's in a food fight!

I haven't been to many Hard Rock's so I'll keep this confined to Seattle... Anyone who's read through my reviews can figure out, or if you know me I'll tell you, it's all about my desire for restaurant's to take a more active approach to being veg-friendly on the menu. not to say this location does not offer vegetarian items. Read on. . . I'm a veg. (not a vegan.) simple right? I'm allergic to mushrooms. and I'm not a huge fan of veggies or salad entrees. okay. . . So, going back n forth w/ the server, she states "the veggie burger has mushrooms cooked in it but we can give you the cheese & veggies no problem." sounds good. Here's what I got. A zucchini infested - veggie filled - side salad - garnish of salad - bathtub for my buns to lay on salad (no jokes) - tiny slice of melted cheese - MORE veggies - oh, and I could barely find the 2nd bun for all the effing SALAD. No joke, I could've received a more "complete" grilled cheese at in n out than the nearly ($12-14) whatever it was "burger" that was served to me. I left hungry. and upset. and the music was too loud. and... this place sucks for mushroom-allergic-grilled-cheese-craving-veg's.

I really wasn't expecting much but I did expect warm food. I sent my 6oz. burger back once because it was delivered with cold (as in, just-out-of-the-walkin cold) cheese and top bun. The burger itself was hot and cooked as ordered but the cheese was cold and very unappetizing. The staff (3 of them, including a manager) fell over each other apologizing to me and said they'd comp the meal. However, the second burger was delivered in exactly the same way. At at that point I gave up and assumed that this must be their style. The burger would have been pretty good with melted cheese and a warm bun. My daughters hated the mac and cheese and noodles with marinara. Their chocolate milk had only vague hints of chocolate (I tried it when they complained). When the bill finally arrived, they forgot to comp the burger. A fitting end to an awful meal.

You, Hard Rock Cafe of Seattle, get one star. We tested your "pint" glasses last Friday night by filling it up with beer from a bottle. That shit is 12oz. Guess what, that's not a pint. But thank you for reassuring my friends and I by telling us that the glass is "really 16 ounces, since it's just wider than normal glasses". Congrats on charging extra (more than you already do, being downtown, etc.) for microbrews. And your TVs don't actually have any channels. Just ones that feed Eminem and P.O.D. music videos. Do you know what city you're in? haha Hope you read this, sincerely, Dru

Service sucks! I don't think I will ever return to this Hard Rock Cafe. The staff need to take lessons from Willie Degel about how to take care of customers.

I went here a couple times after they opened last year. And overall, I enjoyed it. I have been to Hard Rock's all over, because well they are fun. And when you are living in London, its nice to have a little bit of "home". Plus, when you are living in London they are the only place that has iced tea and ranch dressing, so I went A LOT. But overall, I still like the food at Hard Rock, and this location is no different. I think its a great location, right near the Market. Which is perfect for tourists, because quite frankly that is who this was made for. Deal with it pretentious Seattlites, this is a tourist city. I hate all the Seattlites giving this place bad reviews and a bad rap just because they don't like the idea of a Hard Rock in Seattle. It doesn't fit in with their precious notion of their fair city. GET OVER YOURSELF!!! Acting like that doesn't make you cool, and quite frankly makes most people hate you. My boyfriend used to be like that. But after going to a Show at the Showbox we stopped in for a late dinner, and he loved the food, and liked the ambiance. If you don't like Hard Rock. Don't go. I am sure the business will do just fine without you. Because there are plenty of tourists, and plenty of locals like myself who are ok with going to Hard Rock. Because its fun, and the food is good.

We went to the Hard Rock Seattle for a birthday dinner on a Thursday night. The place was pretty empty so was surprised to get "you can just wait" attitude from the hostess. Once we were seated the service was fast. Friendly enough waiter but I'm still pretty put off by the "cooler than you" attitude in this place. Don't appreciate EVERY, single thing that is given to me being tossed on the table. (Napkins, coasters, straws) The restaurant itself is awesome. Cool decor, great artifacts, LOVE the music and videos playing. The food was pretty good. Nothing out of the ordinary. Small portions and pretty pricey. We paid $10-$15 for small burgers and fries. They did bring us birthday sundaes (two for a big party). That was really nice. It's a fun place and I'd go back but would like to see less attitude from the staff.

This review is only for the rooftop bar, as I have yet to try the food. I went there last night and had two beers. The bartender was nice, though at first we did have to wait a bit to order because he was nowhere to be found. Other than that, good beer and a great spot to have happy hour!

We're not chain restaurant eaters. But in the spirit of the Hard Rock Cafe deal, my father visiting from KS had to cruise in here & get the shirt of course. Our food was actually pretty impressive! My stepmom had the shrimp & loved it, my dad grubbed on the fajitas & I had the pulled chicken sandwich. And boy was I happy to learn they give you some ranchero beans, coleslaw, & fries! Our server was friendly but I wish I could have gotten a refill. It was just water. Needless the day, we all did enjoy our food. My chicken was pretty tender... Those fried jalapeño & crispy onions, YES! Buttttttt. Being from TX, I understand authentic BBQ, and the PacNW doesn't. Cooking a meat, then pouring BBQ sauce on it actually does NOT make it BBQ. Decent meal/experience though. The gift shop guy was super freaking awesome! Had just moved from Florida. He was a damn cool guy to converse with!

I've never actually eaten at the Hard Rock Cafe until coming to Seattle. The main reason for that is because I've never been interested, but my boyfriend's mom bought our lunch before we even got to Seattle (they were vouchers I believe). It was 30 minutes after opening, so we were seated quickly. Our vouchers stated that we got to order off of the "hip hop menu." There were limited options, but surprisingly, the twisted chicken mac n cheese was amazing! It also came with two pieces of garlic bread. I was really shocked as to how good it was... I honestly didn't expect that. As for my boyfriend's chicken sandwich, it was just okay. The ambiance is just how you would expect it to be. There's pretty much a television no matter where you look, that plays music videos of (mainly) old "rock" songs and such. Our waiter was nice, and just served us to do her job rather than actually seem like she was interested. She took the main menus from us since we had a specific menu to order from, but we wanted to keep one to order drinks off of. She then handed us the drink pamphlet thing on the table. When I asked about the ingredients of a certain drink, she said she wasn't sure and would bring a menu out... That's why we wanted to keep it. Not to mention, our "hip hop menu" came with free drinks (soda, tea, coffee) and a free dessert (chocolate chip cookie), but we never got our dessert. I was too full to even eat dessert, but I can't believe she forgot. I give this place two stars just for my dish.

ONe of the most eclectic vibes that you'll find downtown near the heart of Pike Place Market. During the summer they have an amazing rooftop deck that opens up about 5 p.m. with a great happy hour and amazing view of sound! Sitting on the street paito which you'll get hit up many types by people, some hitting you up for money, or just chat you up! The and bustle of the cars can sometimes be a little bit of a distraction. Overall if you're looking for a place to just grab some rockin wings, awesome potato skins a cold brew, or a specialty cocktail after a long day in the market to sit down relax. Inside has a huge dining room that's great for groups and often has live entertainment on the second floor with many concerts and a full large bar you're always going to find some type of entertainment happening at the Hard Rock Cafe!

Nothing special at all! This is the worst Hard Rock I've ever been to. The venue is nice and the inside of the building looks wonderful. The rooftop is amazing, but you never really get to go up there, unless you're attending a private event. I had the chance to attend one and the food was bad and extremely overpriced. It's a decent place for drinks. Stop by at your own risk!

This place has tasty American food it's just way overpriced for what it is. With buy one get one free entrees I walked out with a $20 bill on a burger and brew before tip. They do have a really cool bar on the roof which is nice because it's hard to find a roof bar near the water in Seattle.

I started my little routine of going to different hard rock café around the world a couple of years ago. I know it isn't the greatest food, it is average but I still come back for the experience! I always get the local legendary burger when I go to hard rock café, so that I experience the particularly of the city. Some of them specialities aren't much elaborated some more... In Seattle it was obviously coffee flavored patties and a jalapeño on top of the bun. The burger was pretty good to be honest. The restaurant is quite big and as always covered with guitars, posters and other goods that belonged to rock stars. I really wanted to go to the one in Seattle as Alice in chains is from there and I was very happy to see that they have a guitar from them there! The waitresses were very nice, food was good, atmosphere great!

This 4 star review is contingent on several things. 1: I really want to give 3.5 but yelp still doesn't allow that. 2: we drank here and had appetizers given to us/catered, but I wouldn't really take my advice on the food. That being said, the food we did have was ehh at best, bar food that was bland and overly spiced for my taste. Too cheesy literally and figuratively, and not my taste. But for a shoebox Hard Rock the bar isn't too shabby. There are a ton that suck but this one has a little bit of its own flavor. I'd say downstairs where the kitchen and tables are is where you would likely go eat with the wife and kids, and then the upper level where the piano and bar is is another story entirely. Up another level is the rooftop bar and that's my favorite since you can see over the market, over all the rooftops and off into the sunsets. The view is awesome and the vibe with the low chairs, lights and pergolas was cool. I'm not from the northwest so to have the sun out at 9:30 at night seemed interesting. Mind you, both the nights we came here and were drinking were corporate sponsored events so I can't comment on drink prices. However the bartenders were pretty cool regardless. Sometimes at said events when you're given tickets and they don't get tipped out on each drink some bartenders can be stingy on pours or just jerks overall. Thankfully said wasn't the case here. I think this would be a fun place for a pregame or early night bar. I don't think the food was anything to write home to mom about, but I also don't think it's enough nightlife for me to keep me out here until 2 am. A good first stop on the bar hop if you will.

The Bartender was awesome here. My friend and I stopped in here just for a drink and to kill time. We got great service right away and my drink was very good. The next day when I was at the airport I realized I left my debt card at the table. Lucky me they had it and mailed it backed to me. Thank you Hard Rock employees.

If it were 1997, I would have been SOOOO excited. Alas, it is not. But we already all knew that didn't we? This addition to the Seattle bar scene is a little past Hard Rock Cafe's prime years. We've long heard of them and you probably have even gone to a couple of locations in other cities. Some of you probably even had a t-shirt collection. But the days when their kitschy theme was all the rage are indeed over and behind them. And while this makes this establishment not top my list at all because, let's be honest, there are so many other better local places, I will give it some kudos for a few things. I've been here a couple of times for happy hour with coworkers. They are extremely friendly. Even though it was chaotic with 15-20 people all ordering and each paying separately for their orders, they managed to keep their cool. The food was mediocre at best and the drinks weren't memorable. But I did quite like the rooftop space they had. It's perfect for a nice, sunny day. Overall, it's alright. Mediocre food, unmemorable drinks and it's a Hard Rock Cafe. On the plus side, their people are nice and the space is pretty cool.

Happy Hour + Rooftop Review Only. We went straight to the rooftop bar (3 flights of stairs). From the dark inside of the restaurant, the rooftop bar was a pleasant shock! The bar is lined with astroturf, has about three tall tables & three low seating areas with outdoor couches + low tables. There are lights + heaters for night time. Also has an upstairs bathroom. The view is pretty nice - especially when seated b/c you can only see the Pike Place Market sign. The prices are awesome - the drinks were stiff & around $4. People near us got food - HUGE portions & again good HH prices. Vegetarian friendly. Not sure if I'd ever eat here but I will come back soon for the rooftop HH.

I went to check out the terrace at lunch time. Really nice! Great view too. I didn't have any food while I was here but the terrace is definitely the spot to go to if you visit this Hard Rock! Edit: I came back 2 days later in the afternoon and enjoyed some appetizers on the menu. Yummy! Terrace bar staff is superb. Rooftop is super chill. Recommend!

My only experience here thus far has been the rooftop, which I will say, I think it's pretty awesome. How can you beat waterfront views on a sunny evening?! The rooftop can get crowded though, and seats are limited but still great if you're able to snag a spot I'd say. I didn't have any food here, just drinks primarily, which were good. I'd probably come here again for HH or something to at least try out the food! And to see that beautiful view of course :)

Service was awesome! Food was superb! We tried the local burger and it was freaking huuuuge! Not to mention, perfectly cooked and flavorful beyond our expectations. Being a diehard Pearl Jam fan, in Seattle, I expected a little more memorabilia...but that's alright. The rooftop lounge was super cool and a perfect view of the Pike Place sign. If I'm ever in Seattle again, I'll most definitely stop here!

This was my very first experience at Hard Rocky Cafe and I thought I would give it a try here in Seattle. I must say it is really clean when I walked in. Every thing was very well polished. The host was very friendly and seated us very quickly especially for a Friday night. When we got to be seated our waiter wasn't as attentive as he should have been considering that I was once a waitress have a short amount of tables it too him forever to come be off assistance to us. I had to get up two times to ask where he was and each time he was laughing and chit chatting with the other employees. Not very much interested in helping out his tables the table next to us kept asking where is our waiter it took them almost 20 min to have him finally get to them which made me laugh since he only had 3 tables lol the food was ok not excellent but alright for a alright and fries. Thank you guys for helping out the waiter that kept just talking to your other coworkers you helped pick up his slack. Ohh and the bathrooms were really bad :/ there was toilet paper on the ground and one of the doors doesn't lock as well and the had wash soup the lid is missing.

Desperate times call for desperate measures... My boyfriend and I were downtown at 10:45 on a Saturday night, when suddenly, nature called. After ten minutes of frenzied, somewhat uncomfortable walking, we realized that if even McDonald's wasn't open, we just had to bite the bullet and grab a bite to eat at some random restaurant in order to use their bathroom. We saw the lights on in Hard Rock Cafe, and scurried in as quickly as we could. I was kind of excited, since I'd never been to a Hard Rock Cafe before, and wanted to check it out. I feel like with places like this, you are really going in and paying for the novelty (they've got a ton of cool memorabilia on the walls), not for culinary excellence or good value per se. The food was actually pretty good, just hilariously overpriced. $13 for 5 chicken tenders? Man...they were good chicken tenders with tasty dipping sauces, but that's just crazy. Their menu also isn't that extensive or creative. Another thing I noticed is that a lot of the music they were playing wasn't even hard rock, let alone rock. While I wouldn't call myself a rock connoisseur, I am pretty sure that Bombay Bicycle Club (good of a band as they are) does not fall into the genre after which the restaurant is named. A couple of positive points for HRC: It's a really good looking restaurant. Nice booth seating, an open feel, and tables are organized in a way where you don't feel like you're part of the next table's conversation. They got our food out quickly (which may be due to the late hour) and our server, who was actually still in training, was such a nice guy. So while I don't think I'll be making many return visits, I'm still satisfied with the experience I had there.

Gotta go just to say you've gone! Of course the atmosphere is fantastic. Love looking at all the local's stuff all over the walls - and of course Seattle has some great ones! Food is par for this type of restaurant. Nothing extraordinary. My vegetarian daughter was disappointed as, other than salads, there wasn't much offered where the meat could be removed & you'd still have a decent meal. We mostly ate of the appetizer menu & those were more than meal size.

I've been to multiple Hard Rocks around the world and this one was by far the worst! My party of 4 was seated quickly on a Saturday afternoon about 3pm. The place was busy however there were quite a few empty tables. Our waiter came by to take our drink orders. We gave him our meal orders and then it went downhill. We waited and waited and waited. The tables on either side of ours, who were seated at least 20-30 minutes after us, received their food. I asked to speak to the manager since we had been waiting about 45 minutes. As I was expressing my displeasure with the manager the food was delivered. The manager offered an insincere apology saying they were busy and the kitchen was overtaxed. Well, that argument really makes no sense since they know what their capacity is for customers so they should ensure there is enough staff to handle the crowd. The manager had a dumbfounded look when I said this to her. The response I received was "you don't need to pay for your meal". The food was mediocre at best. The veggie patty was inedible, the chicken was dry and tasteless however the accompanying fries were tasty. After we were outside the restaurant one of my friends commented on the clapping when we walked out. Unfortunately I didn't hear it otherwise, instead of this just being a poor Yelp review I would have been on the phone with the Corporate office! There is a reason I don't like chain restaurants!

This is my first time at Hard Rock Cafe in years. Drinks here are a bit more than I thought they should be. I did find the private area that I had no clue was there before, which is very nice. Food is just decent but overly priced for the flavor that you are receiving.

This is a cool place to grab some great food down in Seattle. It's conveniently located to lots of attractions and has a great vibe inside. I recommend the barbecue pulled pork sandwich if you don't mind getting a bit messy. Pair this with Mannys Pale Ale and you're golden! If you are looking for a deal come between 3-7pm on Sunday and enjoy their happy hour. There are always great tunes going on and you can stop by the store next door and grab some souvenirs.

Wow...what a disappointment for sure. The good: The food was pretty good. The servers were pleasant and friendly. The atmosphere was rock n roll for sure. The bad: Menu is WAY overpriced. Sat with and empty iced tea glass for over 10 minutes. Bathrooms were in serious need of attention. Plenty of other places to go to before we'd return.

Not for me. The entire bottom floor has only two unisex bathrooms which means it takes about 20 minutes just to get in there. Secondly bar service was atrocious. Terrible, terrible place.

The burger here is good!! The bun is very tasty and the meat is just omgod...the fries are pretty good and their pickles are so cold and fresh, absolutely love it...the service was pretty good. The only problem was that they didn't ask my friends and I if we wanted more water when needed. But overall, the place has a nice atmosphere and great food!

My family and I went to the Hard Rock yesterday and sat in the bar area. It took about 45 minutes for us to receive our food. We had to ask the hostess if they could check on our food since the only bartender working was pretty busy herself. The hostess told us that it was because the entire restaurant was full and so it was going to be awhile. Not apologetic at all. The bartender came over and apologized and then the hostess agreed to go check on the food (which was ready). It must have been sitting there for awhile as our sandwiches were cold. There was only one bartender that had to serve about 10 tables by herself. We watched her run around for the entire time we were waiting for our food, very impressive! Great service by her. However, it should not take 45 minutes to receive food. I understand that the restaurant is three stories, however if you are going to have that big of a restaurant you need to have enough staff working and the kitchen needs to stay on top of things. Very disappointing for a Hard Rock Cafe.

I was not here voluntarily. We attended an event and had dinner reservations elsewhere afterward. The atmosphere and decor are painfully cliche. The food looked tired and sad, even embarrassed at its own presentation. The bar was pretty crowded. My first vodka tonic was actually a vodka soda, easy enough mistake, and I'm not going to waste vodka, no matter how average. My next drink was pretty strong. Can't complain there, but this is just not a place you want to go to experience the best of Seattle (or any city). I know I shouldn't be so harsh; people love these places. But I feel like the locals can give me a better experience than a chain.

If I could give 4.5 star I would.. Why 5 star? -ROOF TOP -OUT DOOR COUCHES -FIRE PIT -CAN SIT UNDER CANOPY -3 FLOORS (all with bars) -LED LIGHTS IN BATHROOM (more humorous than functional) Great place for groups, tons of seating (Keep your ID handy , you will get carded everywhere you go) I don't know if there ever is a cover for this place, but I went on a sunday and just walked right in. It wasn't very crowded when i came (on a sunday around 4-5 p.m.) but I heard that this place gets real packed on FRI / SAT I want to come back here on a fri/sat to experience the crowds. I ordered 4 red bull vodka's and it came to $32, they said this was their HH specials, but I think thats a bit too much for that drink. (I dont ever drink those so I really dont know) When I come back to this place on a busier night I will write more about this place.

ATTENTION FOREIGN VISITORS: According to the waiter I had today at the Hard Rock Cafe Seattle you cannot get any alcoholic beverages without showing them your passport! I tried with my official country ID card because I let my passport in the hotel safe (because that is where it belongs when you're on travel!) but they said "No". In my opinion this is completely ridicoulous and I have never heard of this supposed state "law" ever before. I've been in Seattle before and never had this kind of problem in other venues. But this way now as an adult I couldn't even get a beer here. Apart from that I had the stripe steak to eat. It was OK but absolutely nothing special. And for a Hard "Rock" Cafe there's quite a lot of hip hop and electro pop music playing. All in all an utterly disappointing evening. Don't go there!

It's a Hard Rock Café. You know what you're getting here: overpriced mediocre food with rock-themed décor. What helps lift the profile of this particular location is the rooftop lounge with the comfy couches and fire pit that gives a pretty nice view of the waterfront. You get a slide, Seattle Hard Rock. Just barely.

Walked in and saw two employees standing in the store after five minutes they finally greeted us and told us that someone would be with us shortly another five minutes go by and nobody came so the girl in the store sat us. The server arrived another 10 minutes later we ordered drinks and those didn't take long (finally) we ordered the pizza for our son and then ordered our food. The server was slow and just didn't seem to care or know how to do his job. Our sons food came out cold, the plate was dirty and took forever for them to bring napkins for him. I wish I was kidding but I am not thirty minutes later (and no re-fills) are food finally comes out. Server dropped the food and bolted. We are our food quickly we were hungry, it was nothing special. My husband really enjoyed his fries he couldn't stop talking about them. Well after we finished eating I looked at the clock and saw we had been there for almost an hour and a half!! The bus boy came around and picked up our plates. Well our server walked by maybe 5 times and finally he didn't ignore my husband and he brought us the check! 10 more minutes go by and he finally brought the check and my card back. Horrible service, decent food, and just not worth the price. (Oh and they provide 18% and 20% tip for you on the bottom of your check, NOT WORTH THAT MUCH OF A TIP) I was a server for years I am not just being bitter this place was horrible! We will never return.

Didn't have a good food selection, only 3 seafood dishes on the menu, waiter rarely came to refill our cups of water, and wouldn't recommend for a party of a large group! The only reason why I gave it 2 stars was because the milk shake was good!

Love the venue. It's very clean and nicely decorated. The music is fun. They have a rooftop bar with seating. It got pretty crowded up there but if you have a seat, it's a nice hang out spot. I ordered the Mac and cheese. It was good but there was too many red peppers which over powered the cheesiness. It came with grilled chicken and bread, which both tasted amazing. My BF got the ribs, chicken and pulled pork with fries. The ribs and chicken tasted great! Super smokey with a bbq taste. The pulled pork and baked beans were disappointing. The sauce tasted kind of like a mixture involving ketchup. I highly recommend ordering something that you expect to be smoked or grilled for a good meal.

First, the place is kind of bleh...I don't know if is that it was kind of empty around 3 pm...or the boring food...or the dirty bathrooms. The two stars is for the upstairs bar and the terrace. Both were welcoming and it looked alive, clean and with vivid colors.

I have to admit I do not eat here a lot. I have been to functions here. And eaten here a few times. I gave The Cheesecake Factory the same rating. Due to their salty fatty food. At least for me. I knw a lot of people like them though.

Went to hard rock last night. I had the grilled veggie sandwhich. Which I really liked...their was a whole portobello mushroom and lots of yummy grilled asparagus, squash, zucchini and roasted peppers. I will be back just for that sandwich alone. Only complaint would be the menu doesn't have prices for the drinks. I hate it when they do that when you get the bill and see the berry press was 14.99 but it was worth it...still I'd like to know the price of the coctails before ordering. otherwise you sound like a cheap ass when you ask "how much is this drink" kinda shady though. Our server was sweet....and the location of the restaurant is prime.

My experience here can be best described as "Meh." However, the rest of my crew actually liked the food so 3 stars is probably too many but maybe fair. The neighborhood was full of crackheads and homeless people who did not bother us but were still very visible. We arrived early, had happy hour drinks, waited 20 minutes for dinner. Pluses: 1- Friendly Staff 2- Portions were good 3- Food tasted fine Minuses: 1- Overpriced food 2- Overrated decor 3- Wait time was too high considering that for which one is waiting 4- Drinks were weak relative to other Seattle establishments; probably spot on for a corporate restaurant chain Nachos were burnt but tasted fine. Arugula Chicken Salad had hardly any nuts, literally one tiny piece glob of cheese, tons of salad, perfect amount of dressing, but deli sliced chicken, literally tasted like it was from Safeway. It was $12, probably should be about $7. My friend said that the Chicken Mac and Cheese was absolutely delicious. I really wanted to get upstairs to the rooftop seating but there was a private party. I have to say the service was above average; nice bartenders, smiling and genuine hosts and fabulous waiter (named Jay? from Oklahoma).

The worst service in Seattle. There are a handful of servers there who have the "Im annoyed, I don't want to be here" attitude. They act like they are entitled to something... Don't work as a server if you don't like it. If it's something you gotta do anyway might as well do t with a good attitude. To your face they smile and then turn around and mouth something smart or give a dirty look or roll their eyes. I watched how they served a lot of other tables and thought "wow, if they do that to them they must do that to us too." They need to look into who they hire. Some of them seem to be SUPER forgetful. Whoever the owner is you need to wake up and pay attention. Also, burger patty was burnt so I was eating bitter tasting meat the whole time but didn't dare say anything or I would also get a dirty look and a roll eye from the entitled servers right? Never come here guys. Don't risk ruining your evening by going when you're trying to have a good time and enjoy your meal...

Ugh! I came in on a sunny Spring day with my gal pal, just wanting a drink to start off our girl's night out...We actually wanted to go to the roof top, but it was closed for a private party, so we sat at the end of the bar, and we sat and we sat... Let's just say it took a while for everything: to get the menu, to order, to get the drinks, to close out. It was an uncomfortably long wait... This HRC is definitely not on my must-do list...

Food is not very good. Drinks are always decent and it plays to the touristy crowd. Not good for families with babies as they don't have changing stations available if the upstairs deck is reserved. Very poor service.

This is definitely an older restaurant. ATMOSPHERE: The facade has no real charm or uniqueness to it. The interior is dim with contemporary brushed metal pendants going down the middle of the seating area. The bar is on the small side. The vibe was very dreary. ROCK SHOP: They were out of small & medium sized tshirts on many styles which was very disappointing. SERVICE: Just average. Didn't get a thank you after the sale which isn't hard to do.

Hard Rock is definitely for tourists. Long waits, mediocre food, overpriced, and minimal service is what you can expect here. We were seated within 15 minutes on a weekday evening. However, our food for 4 people took about 1 hour to come out. When the food came it out was just ok and nothing to warrant a 3 star review. Our server was so busy running around that he only stopped at our table like 1 time. When he did come talk to us he was sweating from running around, out of breathe, and was rushing us to order. You kind of feel bad for the staff there but after waiting so long that sympathy goes away. I would like to come here again in the summer when the rooftop deck is open. I hear the view and atmosphere is amazing. I probably won't order any food though.

How I heard of this place: I think the first I had ever heard of the Hard Rock Cafe was on a trip to London at an early age (around eight). Having been at the peak of HRC success, my sister and I made it a goal: to visit the establishment in every city that had one. We were successful for several years of traveling for vacations, but the momentum was soon lost. When the HRC opened in Seattle, it came as a shock...and about 25 years late! But seeing as how it has been open for several months, I had to check it out. Type of cuisine: Known for burgers and sandwiches, the HRC also boasts traditional bar foods, including fajitas, mac 'n cheese, ribs, and others. Ambiance: While less cluttered and rustic than the other HRCs I have seen, this venue is quite open and large. Dark interior (walls and decor) give the sensation of being in an evening mood despite the sun shining at the height of daylight. Slightly interactive monitors are found everywhere, at each booth and around the establishment. Chair and table seating also available. The kitchen area is open to view, behind heating lamps that keep your food warm as the wait-staff prepares it for presentation at your table. A casual dining experience of anyone looking for loud music in a new Seattle restaurant. What I ordered: Entering the HRC, I immediately wanted a burger! So, that is exactly what I ordered. Kirk helped me make a decision out of the four burgers I was wavering between. The Hickory BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger ($14.75) basted with a special Hickory Bar-B-Que sauce and smothered with caramelized onions, topped with crisp seasoned bacon and melted cheddar cheese. Another of my dining companions ordered the Classic 6 oz. Burger ($10.50), described as "The same great Hard Rock Legendary experience, just in a smaller size." The burger patty is Certified Angus Beef, lightly seasoned and cooked to order with the option of adding American, Jack, Cheddar, Provolone or Swiss cheese. My third dining companion opted for something lighter and ordered the Honey-Mustard Grilled Chicken Sandwich ($12), a grilled boneless chicken breast served on a butter-toasted bun with honey mustard, bacon, lettuce, tomato and Jack cheese and served with seasoned fries and fresh coleslaw. What I loved: I most loved the fries on this venture out! The caramelized onions were tasty and juicy. The bacon perfectly crisp and the cheddar cheese sharp. It was a great combination, a lot of food and just what I remembered. Why I loved it: The server was very friendly, with a voice like Rachel Ray. The portions of food large enough to share, had a lot of flavor and little fuss. Cost: Average to high ($10-$15 for a lunch burger with fries)

I recently visited the Hard Rock Cafe for an event with the Seattle Chamber. The venue is remarkably clean for the location downtown and everything a downtown merchant has to deal with. The food was full of flavor, fresh and had a wide variety of options from higher end to your basic American burger and fries. Drinks were made strong and the bartenders were friendly, engaging and quick to acknowledge guests to the bar area. No complaints at all for the Seattle Hard Rock Cafe. Just don't fall for the merchandise trap... go to Goodwill and buy there famous glasses for less then a buck, they have tons!

When we first got there they did accommodate us by making a table for moms electronic wheel chair, but when got to our table we waited for 5 minutes to be served and another 15-20 minutes before getting our started food or was entered or either he didn't come on time...the food wasn't what we ordered. The rest of our order was delicious. I go back to the waiter because he was missing for most of the time we were sitting eating not once did he come over to refill our drinks or ask us were we ok! He didn't even offer us hand wipes very rude it's like he was happy we were leaving! Won't be back my waiter name is Adrian...

I am all about the upstairs roof top bar at the Hard Rock overlooking the market. I believe the roof top is largely ignored by locals, which means more room for me! I suggest hitting the rooftop bar when it is raining. Yes, when it is raining! Not many Seattle locals are bothered much by the rain, but the tourist run away in droves, leaving the rooftop most empty. There are plenty of covered couches and room to walk about, even during a Seattle Fall drizzle, and best of all...while it is raining, there is happy hour! I like it! Are there any other bars in Seattle offering happy hour based on the weather? Better question, are there any other bars in the downtown area offering $2.50-3.50 craft beers? It is a rare find!

Terrible place, the hostess was utterly rude. We had to complain and get the manager brought in. She switched the server. This hostess does not know what a EAD [employment authorization document] card is, the enterity of seattle accepts EAD (US gov issued) as acceptable age proof, aparantly this hostess is beyond the government ! Luckily i had an EXPIRED State id for them to verify my age before i got served Terrible experience, bad food - never again am i going there.

I went last week with a group of people (not my choice). Food is average/not tasty. Onion rings are frozen (like many of the items served). Service was abysmal (waited at the front desk for 5 minutes) and table service not much better. There are so many great places in downtown Seattle that it's worth looking around on Yelp (or walking a few blocks to Pike Place Market and the surrounding area). For what you get, the food is quite expensive. You pay a premium for eating at the Hard Rock because it's a Hard Rock--not for the food. It is also, as expected, very loud so not a good place to have a conversation.

Ugh. I mean, I've been to Hard Rock Cafe's in other cities before and so I knew not to expect anything above average food-wise, but I never expected anything this bad. I was invited for a girl's night and of course the atmosphere was fun and the service was great. But the food....I ordered one of the new international burgers and it wasn't even edible. The meat was so tasteless and dry it was like eating sawdust. They tried to redeem it by smothering it in tons of unnecessary sauces making it messy and greasy and still bad tasting. The fries tasted like they had just come out of the freezer. I didn't even finish the meal, it was too gross. And then I got the $18 dollar bill for it. It was my mistake for not looking at the price beforehand, but I never thought a burger and fries would cost me $18 dollars. What a waste.

i would usually never post a review of hardrock cafe because it's everywhere and everyone's been... but it is a great place for happy hour in downtown seattle! we found out about this semi-secret happy hour spot from our lyft driver! so this rooftop area is not advertised...but views are great of pike market place and the water. make sure you come up here and hang out on a nice day! happy hour drinks are a good deal. if you're like us, you will be staying here for a couple of hours... at least.

Worst food I've ever had the displeasure of tasting. Burger was burnt to a hard lump of coal, and onion rings were saltier than Neptune's anus. Sauces were the equivalent of a hard lump of coal in Neptune's anus. 0/1 never again....

Although I love the Hard Rock Cafe and the drinks here, I am conflicted about my experience here. I thought about what to write for a couple weeks now and just decided to write what happened. We sat at the bar and reviewed the cocktail menu. We love visiting different Hard Rock Cafe's on our trips, so we were looking forward to the drinks and listening to a little music. Our bartender was fun and had a cool mohawk. While we were talking to the bartender, a VERY drunk female customer interrupted asking for more drinks. She was soooo obviously drunk, weaving around. They ignored her first request, but when she became an issue, another waitress gave her a glass of wine. This lady was so drunk she was passing out asleep at her seat, staring and trying to start an issue with me and other patrons she thought were talking to her. She was singing and even started harassing another table of girls who never said a word to her. I couldn't even look in her direction without her saying something. The staff ignored her until she became a huge issue, which could have been easily avoided if they cut her off earlier. When things got out of control, the security guard just stood there not knowing what to do. She was dropping her purse, food, stuff on the floor, it was a mess. I felt sorry for the staff for having to deal with it, but felt even sorrier for the people who had move to avoid this lady. Other than all that mess, the drinks were okay. I had hoped for a better experience, but won't let it bring me down on Hard Rock Cafe as a whole.

Its a dark hole that does fit the 1st ave of Seattle... a place I might want to hide in vs be seen in. It's not what I expected from other Hard Rock Cafes I have frequented in many other cities. This location while is near the Pike Market appears just as its innards - dark, hidden. Definitely not a place for tourits or locals. Unlike its other locations filled with bright, spacious, and swank. Step it up Hard Rock and move your location off the side street alley to a bright coloured venue. Other than innards, the customer service and food is solid.

The food is good and they have local beer. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. The ambiance is fun without being obnoxious. You just need to get over the fact that it's a Hard Rock cafe, get over any self-imposed snobbery and you'll enjoy the visit. Yes, they cater to the market patrons, but they also do A LOT for local businesses. For one, they carry Red Hook's Audible (which is a GENIUS move considering the name of the beer, that the tap-handle is a MICROPHONE, and that it's HARD ROCK CAFE). Really, all the poor reviews need to get over themselves and accept Hard Rock. I mean come-on. Would you rather Seattle be known for soggy stuck up food snob hipsters, or for the colorful music history in the area (which HR advertises in abundance inside).

Hard Rock Café, Seattle, Washington. The interior in this particular Hard Rock is a little more upscale and a little less Rocker. The bar especially gives more of an eclectic vibe than a rocker vibe. . Pro's Some Friendly wait staff Awesome location, right by Pike's Market Awesome décor (memorabilia is different in every Hard Rock) and the wood pattern on the wall is amazing Outstanding music, more 70's than the usual Hard Rock locations Awesome new manager named Sandy Con's Usual touristy food Tastes worse than any other Hard Rock we have been to Usual over priced menu items Some unfriendly almost mechanical servers, with attitudes to boot Non attentive servers Summary- I have been to this location about 5 times now. Twice with my psycho-EX's "family" and those visits were over 2 years ago and unremarkable. The other 3 times were in close succession and one visit built on the others. Each time we went, beginning with the first, it just got worse. After the 3rd time, we promised we would never return, but after talking with the manager at the time (Donna) she guaranteed to make our next visit right. When we returned in two days, the food was bad, the service was bad and it just felt uncomfortable. When we returned the final time we asked for Donna and we were told that she was no longer there. A month had passed and we were told that Donna was replaced by Sandy and what a turn around. In fact, Sandy was so good, that we even went back a few days later and it was still good. I look forward to returning here (with better company of course) and evaluate the quality of the food/service or lack thereof.

The food is very average and is a little overpriced for what it is. The Mac and Cheese is pretty good but to order that as a dinner will cost you 16 bucks... Also parking is very difficult seeing as though it is downtown and there isn't a parking lot for you to use. Overall the experience was very cool but not really worth it to come back. This was my second time there and it really wasn't that great The customer service is very average as well.

The Hard Rock Cafe on a beautiful summer day in Seattle is exactly where I would want to be regardless of the company that surrounds me. If you haven't experienced lounging on their gorgeous roof top I suggest you put it on your to-do list. I actually have gotten pretty drunk off their cocktails a few times on separate occasions. I always try something new and so far I haven't been disappointed. The Red Berry Press, which is lemons, vodka, and an assortment of berries in a french press makes for a fun drink that can easily be shared. Hard Rock is a great place to go with a group of friends as there's always enough room for everyone. I am a music freak too so I do actually enjoy all the cool stuff on the walls. As for the food, the Nazchopalooza (chicken) is one of my favorite things to order. Apparently it's an appetizer but it's GIANT so when drinking is involved I usually don't have room for a meal ;)

Not gonna lie, kind of disappointed. As someone with celiac disease, finding somewhere to eat can be challenging but in most cities, the Hard Rock is good and offers gluten free buns with their burgers and a separate fryer for their french fries to avoid cross contamination. This location not only does not carry the buns but they fry everything together.

Went for my husband's Christmas party so my experience may be a bit different. Service was good, food was great and the 80's band couldn't be better. Had a great time. The lot kiddy corner is about 45.00 to park. The garage is much cheaper BUT CLOSES AT 11.

Wow huge disappointment. $40 for 2 cheeseburgers at lunch you would think they'd at least be good. Dry, uninspired, And if you call it a "big burger" it should probably be big. Service took a long time, music was not great and so loud you couldn't carry on a conversation. All that would have been forgiven if I didn't just spend $40 on 2 sub par cheeseburgers

We've never been here before. Really had high expectations. Ordered 2 kids meals, the hotdogs were warmed up in the microwave, and the fries? Cold!! My boyfriend and I decided to share a meal, once again cold fries, and the burger was half raw in the middle. The place had maybe 3 tables with people yet we sat for over 45 minutes waiting for 3 meals that seemed to have been warmed up in the microwave, not to mention my Pepsi was flat. We got our bill, $50 bucks for one meal and 2 kids meals. Cool no big deal. But they asked that we give them over a 6 dollar tip for cold fries and warmed up food. The waitress was super nice, but took forever, we tipped anyways because she was really nice. We will never come here again. Next time, I'll just go to McDonald's and pay 10 bucks for the same shit we got here.

The food was good but a bit on the pricey side, assuming that I was gonna be wowed at a Hard Rock Cafe... but unfortunately it severely lacked the memorabilia that I anticipated to see. I was disappointed since the other HRC's in Vegas, Orlando, etc had ALOT to see! This one was sparse and didn't have the same excitement to it. I will say that the service was great but not a HRC I would recommend.

I received a response from the General Manager who apologized profusely for what happened. Apparently, this was their first underage show and there is a curfew of 11pm for minors in places that serve alcohol. The security they used for the show was from a company they had hired and do not specifically work for the Hard Rock. While, the entire situation is frustrating the GM did let me know that they will no longer be doing any underage shows in order to avoid situations like this. I may return for a show after my 21st birthday but I am hopeful nothing this disgraceful will happen again per the GM trying to turn everything around.

A busy Friday Night before a show at the Showbox and this was our only mistake for the night. Our meal for three people was pretty simple. The server was quite nice, but it was obvious they were understaffed. Our food was undercooked and drinks never refilled and one was actually never delivered. I waited tables and if I saw food left on a plate like that, I would of rectified it. Nahhhhhh, too busy chatting up the tattoos with another table. This was the third time I've been in this place and it has been worse each time. Great location and nice rooftop patio for a sunset. Lousy food, lousy service.

My best friend is here from out of town. I wanted to show her a cool place. We are both educated, have traveled and know the business. We've been to other Hard Rock places around the world. We were starving. The hostess was less than interested. I suggested perhaps a table at the bar....after we wandered around aimlessly without any offer of assistance we found stairs to more bar seating. We waited. And waited. My friend went the restroom. I fiddled on Facebook. Another pair sat down beside us...much later than we sat down...10-15 minutes. These folks were presented with menus. Nothing for us. No nod, greeting, acknowledgement of any kind. We waited. Then we left. My friend wanted to buy something there too. We are both off Hard Rock. Too bad we both love music too.

Meh. Came here after work for Happy Hour, and even though the place was barely half full, the hostess told us that in ordered to be seated, we needed to have at least 4 people present. So, we (3 people) huddled around the front door for about 10ish minutes, and it was obvious that the place was gonna remain empty, so another hostess said it was okay, and led us the way to be seated. After getting seated (for 7 people), we asked for the Happy Hour menus, but since we were seated in the main (1st floor) that is for the regular menus, they had to check upstairs in the bar area if there was room... Luckily there was a table enough for all of us, so we got all our stuff and headed upstairs. I will admit that upstairs is quite nice, open space/stage area, live singing throughout the entire time. Disappointingly, their HH menu is about the size of roughly 6 choices to choose from...all from the starters selection of their regular menu. All, but the bruschetta & combo plate were half off. Nothing great, just generic nachos, chicken wings, dip, etc. Drinks (beer) in particular were a good deal, less than $3 for a glass. A coworker wanted to take a shot, so all of us decided to join the fun. I wasn't feeling like straight up vodka, so opted to get a flavored one instead. You would think with a full bar there would be at least a few choices of flavored liquor..but nope, only raspberry they had. Which, was fine, but ended up being twice as expensive as regular vodka (yes, just because its raspberry flavor)...darn it, if I'd known, I would have sucked it up and gotten that instead, and saved my extra $3 bucks (or gotten 2 vodka shots for the price of 1 raspberry shot) ha. Overall, I enjoy the atmosphere of the Hard Rock (no need to zip down to Vegas!) I especially dig the stage and open space, I'd like to come back to see future performances. However...I'll most likely stay away from the food. I'd eat before elsewhere, and then come here to watch a show.

I can't even believe I ate at a Hard Rock with all of the non-chain options to choose from in the area. I had not eaten for 24 hours and was desperate to just sit down and get some food in me. I remembered having a really good chicken club sandwich at the Chicago Hard Rock once, so that sounded good. The server, I think her name was Jenna, was super chipper. Very good, friendly service. The lunch menu had a pretty good deal which was salad, drink and entree (sandwich + fries) for $12 - you'd be hard pressed to get that much food at Subway for $12. The sandwich was good, although the chicken was a little thin and dry, but they don't skimp on the avocado, which is nice. I doubt I'd come here again, with all of the other options in the area, but for decent American food at a good price, this is a good option.

My first time in an HRC, and I was pretty impressed. Very friendly and accomodating staff, Wi-fi, and delicious food! Most of the items on the menu were a bit overpriced, but I had the very affordable pulled-pork sandwich that was amazing, practically melted in my mouth. Only 4 stars because they hardly played any decent music! Robin Thicke, Imagine Dragons, and random country-blues bands are not what I had in mind for "hard rock".

This is a nice Hard Rock Cafe, right next to Pike Place Market. All of the memorabilia is from artists who are from Seattle, which is pretty cool (Jimmy Hendrix, Heart, Nirvana, etc..) The service was great, the food tasted good, and prices were pretty much what you would expect for downtown Seattle. Not too expensive, but not too cheap.

Holy dipshit Batman! I totally understand why this club was EMPtY on a saturday night. The "crack" or should I say "on crack" security kept moving us while we danced an stood near the stage to watch our friends' awesome 80's band. What? We can't dance? Every time we went to the restrooms we were followed by security who either thought we were doing drugs or wanted to steal them. The idiots kept looking under all the stall doors!!! Decent beer selection can't overcome L.A.M.E. overall atmosphere. So many more cool places in Seattle. I wish I could leave a negative star.

Great atmosphere, but don't go just for the food. I had the Chop Chop Salad and it appeared to have been soaking in the dressing all day long. Very soggy, which made it not so tasteful. Should have ordered something else but it was difficult to find anything else under 1000 calories. Loved the concert, though!

Waited for a long time for this place to open up but finally got the chance to visit it. Great place and atmosphere....the food as good as always as well as the Hurricane drink........can't wait to have the chance to see if they finished the roof top...!!!

  • Kelly D.

The food is horrible. I paid more money for a dish of overcooked shrimp with soggy sauteed snap peas than an entree at SeaStar which was arguably the best seafood I'd ever had. However- this place gets more than 1 star because the rooftop deck is AWESOME- if you are going for drinks this is a great spot. Happy hour prices are pretty decent too but they don't serve food up there. This is a good thing because it prevents you from ordering their poor excuse for food if you've had one too many drinks and are lacking good judgment.

I finally hit up the Hard Rock Cafe downtown and have to say that I can only give an "A-OK" rating. I was seriously expecting a much more enjoyable dining experience. I give them points for the decor, atmosphere and food selection. The inside is very conducive for chillin' with friends or dining with a date late at night. I thought the booths were pretty comfy and I enjoyed the music videos playing on the plasma screens hanging on the wall around the restaurant. All the music related paraphernalia were cool. The touchscreen piano table near the front was pretty neat too. We were there just to grab some coffee and dessert and it came to about $15 for two coffees and two "bites" desserts. The "bites" are just large shot glass cups with whatever filling you want. We got the creme brulee and the strawberry shortcake, both of which were delicious (mostly the creme brulee). The coffee was just mediocre and overpriced for just plain coffee. It wasn't that busy during the day, so we were escorted to our table shortly after entering through the front door. The staff seemed nice but wasn't as attentive as we had hoped. It took some time to flag them down or just to get refills on drinks. Overall, it wasn't too bad of a place. I will probably return to try out more of their dishes. I do really like the atmosphere and would love to come late at night to see what it's like then.

Amazed to find I havent written a review for here yet, perhaps its because the patio has made me sad ever since I first heard about its intended existance. Shortly after it opened I went many times only to find I couldnt go upstairs for whatever reason, bad weather, private party, only open on certain days, etc. I continued to anticipate how great it would be and find it to be quite the let down once I actually made it up. There's hardly any view, its cold, and seems to be covered with trash way too often. I do love the firepits when they are on, which also seems to vary. The line for drinks often is incredibly long and seats disappear the second you stand up. Today though I finally found something I love about the hard rock and that is seeing a show there. I know its a music venue, but somehow no one I ever wanted to see came. Finally I made it in and was suprised to find out how great it was for an intimate concert. I'd even been to a huge party in the concert room before, but still couldnt not grasp the greatness of seeing a band here until it actually happened. Waiters were very efficient as well, although drinks are overpriced. They did keep my water glass constantly filled. I've yet to have food here and might never, but the things people were eating around me did look pretty appealing. I did go on a tour of the memorabilia here once, they do have some pretty impressive stuff, definetly look around while you're here. Good for tourists, okay for locals if there's a good band, seriously though skip the patio.

To hell with this place. The waitress was a total skag, no good service. Plus at the end of our meal she asked if we wanted our Bill together or separate...really? So a man and woman who are obviously together need separate checks? Very inconsiderate and offensive. The only thing good in the whole place is Eddie Vedders guitar with the lyrics to Elderly Woman taped to the side.

My friends and I went to this location for one of my friend's birthday dinner. I haven't been to this location before so I was excited, especially it being a Friday night, unfortunately I was left feeling underwhelmed. First, they don't take phone reservations, instead they have an online form to fill out with a confirmation number. When we got there, our party wasn't altogether but they had our information and we were seated almost immediately which was great. The atmosphere was awesome, very clean and all of the staff were extremely friendly, then we met our waitress Ashley. She stumbled to our table, bent down then asked for the birthday girl. She incorrectly guessed my friend's age adding an extra 4 years saying"you look a little older." It took her 20 minutes to bring us water, each time stumbling to and from our table. She was loud and obnoxious and couldn't properly read the menu or articulate a few differences between some menu items. Eventually we placed our drink orders which then prompted her to tell us stories related to each drink on the menu she's had. We then placed our food orders, which she then had to have us repeat THREE times because she didn't remember. I ordered the BBQ ribs without the beans (the ribs were pretty good) but Ashley brought my plate with beans. My friend who DID order beans was left without and her sandwich was made incorrectly. Ashley mentioned she "must have written down the wrong thing." When we finished, she came to collect the plates she turned to the table behind us and left two of our plates on a chair at a table being set up for a huge party. She also left trash and the water pitcher on the table. My friend reminded her of the mess she made and she shrugged it off and walked away. As my group awaited the checks which we asked to be split, she brought out one check and a pen and asked us to just "number the items we got which would make her job easier." She reminded us "the tip wasn't included." I understand Friday night's are busy and I am not going to begin to imagine how stressful it is waiting on multiple large party tables but at the end of the day you are in fact a waitress and waiting on us is your job. We didn't make any outrageous requests nor was our party really late. The restaurant seemed really cool but my impression was tainted by our incredibly rude waitress. I doubt I will be returning any time soon.

We celebrated a birthday there with about a little over twenty people there. Our waitress kept giving us dirty looks each time someone asked for something, no matter what it was...ranch, a new drink, anything. We had to send a order back three times to get a hamburger cooked all the way through. I know that is a big group to handle but the rolling of the eyes was non stop. Since we had a large group we were only allowed a choice of 3 or 4 entrees to choose from. The amounts for these entrees appeared no where on the little piece of paper that took the place of the actual menu. When we got the bill, we were shocked at how much it was, even with the large group that we had. For example a Bacon Cheeseburger was 25$ We all agreed that we would never go back there.

It always seemed odd to me that Seattle, which is the birthplace of the grunge music scene and home base for such iconic bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden, never had a Hard Rock Café to call its own. What better place to showcase the rich and varied musical history of the area which also gave us Heart and the immortal Jimmi Hendrix? Thankfully the wait is over, as the Hard Rock has at long last come to Seattle to the delight of music fans everywhere with a 14,000 square foot locale that offers great music, drinks and food and tons of memorabilia. Located near the entrance to the historic Pike Place Market, the Hard Rock Café Seattle offers up not only a very inviting menu of food, drinks, appetizers, and desserts, but blends technology and relics to make a unique and memorable dining experience. Mementos from Hendrix, Nirvana, Elvis, Heart, and many more adorn the walls, educating and amazing guests with the history of the famous (and almost famous) artists with varied connections to our city. Sandra Bird, the Sales and Marketing Manager for the Hard Rock Café Seattle showed me many of the wonders of the new restaurant, from a gift shop with Seattle-themed souvenirs to the countless memorabilia that adorned the walls. She also shared how the company policy was that whether or not a person was a celebrity, everyone waited in line. Eric Clapton, who favored the original London locale, wanted a way to mark which seat he sat in and since he was not allowed to sign the chair, a compromise was reached that he could hang his guitar over the chair. A couple of days later, a guitar from Pete Townsend of The Who arrived, and the hanging of memorabilia began. I asked Sandra how the chain has been able to survive not only fickle music tastes but also hard economic times and expand to include hotels and casinos all over the world. It was explained that the Seminole Tribe of Florida purchased the Hard Rock Café and helped fuel their move into hotels and casinos without ever losing the focus of the company and the brand name. Diners on the main floor, which houses a bar and dining area, can get a similar tour without leaving their table, with the Microsoft Tablet technology that allows you to browse the souvenirs on the wall and get more information about each, as well as view it from numerous angles. Thetablesalso allow diners to play a variety of gamesand the booths have a feature where diners could vote on which music video would be played next. Venture upstairs to find a bar and performance area where bands ranging from rising talent to established veterans play. While spacious, the area provides an intimate setting for those that like their music up close and personal. I enjoyed the roof area as the open-air lounge offered a fantastic view of Puget Sound and allowed those who want a quiet area to congregate. While music and memorabilia is a key part of the chain, so is the food and I enjoyed a very large plate of nachos and one of their outstanding smoothies on my two trips. The food is varied and offers everything from burgers and sandwiches to even tastier fare such as smokehouse barbecue. While the food was satisfying and the locale impressive, the Hard Rock is first and foremost about music and that tradition is alive and well in Seattle

I'm not hard to impress when it comes to food but I do expect some quality when it comes to the employees. This place has your standard Hard Rock food and good drinks. My boyfriend and I came here because we wanted a familiar place to eat, late night. That was probably a bad idea considering that a homeless man was seated right next to us. That would not have been a problem for us if he wasn't yelling or harassing another customer. The employees had to go over to him multiple times to tell him to calm down and never apologized to us or said anything to rectify the incredibly uncomfortable situation. We thought about being asked to be seated elsewhere but the man was confronting customers and we didn't want to draw any attention to ourselves. Unfortunately this review is really about the environment we were in and that we probably won't be going back. I would have rated lower but the food was good. Overall, stay away from the one in Seattle.

The Hard Rock Cafe is hilariously bad, although I wasn't as displeased with it as my drinking companions were. HRC has a huge drink menu, populated with watered-down, overpriced frou-frou drinks. I had a green margarita, the color and taste of which reminded me of those wax straws filled with sugar syrup. I had two and didn't get even a slight buzz. I can hold my liquor pretty well, but not that well. The food was about what you'd expect. The onion rings and chicken wings weren't terrible. The spring rolls were a bizarre Asian/Mexican hybrid, with a crunchy fried exterior and a spicy black bean filling. No wonder they arrived nestled in sour cream, lettuce, and olives. The service wasn't great. Latecomers had to wait forever for our waiter to take their order, and drinks were a long time coming. The main reason this review doesn't have one star is the upstairs area. I recently attended a fundraiser at the Hard Rock Cafe, and the stage on the second floor is actually a decent venue. Just don't drink the cocktails or the wine. Stick to beer.

This is a review of the upstairs concert venue. I have not tried food or drinks at the Seattle Hard Rock Cafe. They did give me free water, though :) The venue definitely encourages standing. The sparse seating is up against the walls and the bar is a square in the exact center of the room, making it difficult to see the performers if you sit in the back. I would have really liked to have been able to eat while listening, which I'm not sure is possible. (Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong on that.) The acoustics are not that great, either. All this said, the concert venue is definitely good-looking and large (477 capacity). The bands ranged from good but not my personal favorites to bad to the point of driving people outside. Based on the one concert I went to there, I'd say this place aims to serve a crowd around age 35 to 40 in terms of both music and overall venue experience. A concert review focusing more on the bands on my blog: elizabethlloydevans.com/… .

When I first heard that a Hard Rock cafe and music venue was opening in Seattle, I immediately felt like I was in a time warp and it was 1992. Are they really still opening these things? I give it a few years and then it will be yet another empty, erie building looming in our beautiful downtown. I went one Friday night because a friend's band was playing, and kudos to them for getting the gig. They do rock. :) So my review is based on the service of the bartenders that worked upstairs where the music venue is. They were HORRIBLE. They were understaffed. But being that I have been a bartender and in the restaurant biz for quite some time I understand the stress of being understaffed. This does not allow for you to ignore and be rude to your patrons. I mean, they look you right in the eye, as you have been patiently waiting for 15 minutes (or more) then turn around to stock glassware or walk to the other side of the bar to wait on someone else. I'm not the only one this happened to. There were a LOT of unhappy bar guests that evening. We actually went to the downstairs bar a few times where we received pretty decent service in order to quench our thirst. AND as a new establishment, you really should be OVERstaffed! First impressions go a long way! All in all I will never return to this establishment. Even if my friend's band plays again, sorry boys!

I was at the HRC last week for the live band that they had going there on Friday. Me and my friends were at the bar waiting to get some drinks, and yeah I do understand that they busy, but there was this jackass bartender stand abt 5'6 135/145lbs dark hair .. RUDE!There was these 3 girls that came up after us, and he served them b4 us. Was it because I was with 3 other guys? GET REAL! He passed us up 5 times and when finally got to us, we just said thank but no thank cus our other friend already got us some drinks from the other side. I honestly have to say that a lot of the workers there are rude. The food is pretty good, but pretty pricey. The roof top lounge is alright. They charge for chips & salsa which is pretty shaddy. Overall ... I wouldn't come back ... maybe for a while ... they just need to shake things up & get better workers in there.

Double check your credit/debit card statement for fraud. I had 4 transactions between various trips to the bar, and 1 food order. Every single one had an inflated forged tip when I checked my credit card account online the next day. The only reason I even went here was to see a friends band play. I get that with a band playing there could be some complications, so they shut down table service and serving the full menu after a certain time. Here's one of the problems though, the bands didn't even start playing until 2 hours after the menu and table service was stopped. They don't offer much food choices, and you have to leave and come back to get your food yourself. The bar tenders weren't very attentive, even before it got busy. Everything is overpriced. I hate this place. I hope I never have to go back. If I ever do have to go back to see a friends band play again, i'm paying cash to avoid credit card fraud.

Ate here with my teenage daughter on a Friday evening around 6:30 before seeing Sir Mix-a-Lot at Benaroya Hall. The bar was pretty crowded, but there was plenty of available seating in the dining area. The ambient noise was not too loud at all. Service was good - not great, but not bad either. I had "The Texan" - the only complaint was that there wasn't much barbecue sauce on the pork. I expected it to be almost swimming in sauce, but it seemed like the sauce all cooked into the meat. Still it wasn't overly dry. The taste combination of the pulled pork, fried jalapeños & onions, and cheese was very tasty. I would eat here again if I happened to be in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way.

I don't have a lot to say great or bad about this place. it's good!, but not great. One bad experience was it was too loud and talking to my friend was nearly impossible, but it hasn't been so loud since then. Hard Rock won't blow your socks off, but you're gonna find pretty good tasting food. I do believe it was a little pricey as well? not too crazy, but more than others of the same quality so there's that to think about.

Service was terrible. Waitress only recognized half of the table, never refilled drinks. The food was just bland chain style. The kitchen is "open" so you can look right in, and wish I did before we ordered. It was disgusting looking. Also the bathrooms were super dirty. Add this to places to avoid.

Great venue for live music but the staff is incredibly rude...not it mention the draft beer was all stale and disgusting...the rooftop bar is pretty legit with a nice view. Did I mention the staff members were all very rude???

Meh is pretty accurate. Hard Rock isn't horrible, but I've yet to have an exceptionally enjoyable trip here. See, it's right by my bus stop and occasionally on Fridays I have a beer here after work and before going home. Why do I like coming here? They have a solid happy hour and their draft beer is very reasonably priced. While their selection isn't incredibly vast, there's always something on draft that I like. So why only 2 stars? Their staff needs improvement. Some bartenders are fast and friendly while others are slow, inefficient, and pushy. I really don't want a bartender that repeatedly asks me if I want to order a shot. I think after I say "no" four times they should move on. Do they really expect people to do shots by themselves in the afternoon? Also, nothing about the place seems especially clean or properly maintained. Everything just seems dirty, especially their bathrooms (I made the mistake of using them once, that was enough). And while it's not necessarily their fault, a lot of the clientele are pretty obnoxious. For convenience and cheapness I'm sure I'll be back, but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to come here. .

I came here with three of my friends one night to see my husband play (bands play upstairs). We sat in the bar downstairs first and ordered a few drinks and dinner. Our server was okay (she wasn't friendly and seemed to be rushing all over the place) and the food was alright (nothing special). The thing that gave this place such a bad rating was how long it took to get our bill. I had to walk up to the bar and ask for the bill- she quickly snapped that she would get it to me. After waiting 20 minutes, I walked up again and asked another server- she snapped as well and said I had to wait for my server to bring the bill. After 35+ minutes, a different server came over and asked if we were ready for our bill and he too, took FOREVER! My husband played a show here so I was in a hurry to go up stairs and see him. After 40 minutes to get my bill, I finally was able to catch him before he went on.

First off, it takes a lot to make me mad. And, I was fully disappointed today on our service. We sat down, looked over the menu, decided on an app, dinner and drinks before our server arrived. It was ten minutes before we were greeted and twenty before we received our drinks. Our appetizer was forgotten and my fiances food was tasteless and cold. We were halfway through our meal before our server stopped by the table and I asked for sides of sauce and another drink. He dropped them off and kept walking. Not once asking if our food was satisfactory. I stacked up our dishes (I'm a server, I can't help it) and told my fiance we would find a manager to pay. A manager never came out, we paid our server at the door as the hosts promised he was the best server they have. If thats the best service you can offer me, I won't be back. Being in the service industry you know better to tip less than 20 percent. Keith (our server) recieced one of the two ZEROS I've ever left in my 24 years. We won't be back.

I admit it, I'm a pin-head. I must have every city's Hard Rock city-specific pin I visit. So now I have a "Cool Cat" from Seattle which will always remind me of a forgettable meal. Unfortunately. I don't think I've ever been to a major city Hard Rock Cafe as poorly represented of local talent as this one. You'd think (or I'd think anyway) that Jimi & Kurt would be awesomely portrayed to astound visitors that HERE was the nexus of these incredibly unique and legendary musicians. I was underwhelmed. While the location is outstanding, the food was not. And while the potential for presenting Seattle's greatest performers exists, the truth is I probably have more of Jimi and Kurt than they do. But I dig my new "Cool Cat" pin.

I came here for a rooftop concert. I'm glad they had covers because it was just about to drizzle, being Seattle, not too surprised, right? They had gas fireplaces, so that was really nice because it was a cold afternoon. Bussers were quick because where ever I looked, there were no unattended glasses. View from the rooftop was overlooking the Pike Place Market sign and the water behind. I didn't get to try to the food, so I'll rate them for their food when I do eat there some other time

This is my afterwork stop. I unwind here. Nadine knows what im going to have and Chris the door fellow is a breath of fresh air after my grooling 6-2:30 job I love. the happy hour isnt the best but what bings me back is the people. I have tried the hicken strips a few times and they are not something I would feed my child. they are kicked up a bit and I like them. its just a cool place to sit and unwind.

Good place to eat. Atmosphere is great. Music is sometimes too loud, but not bad. Food is really good, drinks are good also. Service is great and friendly. There is a gift shop to spend $. Lots of memorabilia on the walls. Prices are ok.

The food here was ok. I ordered a bbq chicken sandwich. It had fried onions and jalepenos on it with chipolte sauce. The fries were just nuke warm. The others in my party got grilled chicken sandwich. It was nothing special but not bad. All the food was over priced and the quality was just mediocre.

I don't really understand what people expect from Hard Rock. It's touristy for sure, but every Hard Rock in any city is.... So, let's move past that. I've been here a few times and there is nothing that really stands out about it amongst all the other great places you can visit in Seattle but they do have a great rooftop bar. Can it be a tight squeeze on an epic sunny Seattle day? Yes. But, if you're in the area and want to catch some sunnies and grab a beer, the Hard Rock roof top bar is a good choice.

This place can be fun due to concerts!! The concerts are mayhem And fun. But my friend and I went to check out and the bartenders were the biggest douche bags ever!!!!! Refused to give our DD water and said they were done serving drinks at 11:45. I don't care if there is bar time, my DD should have been able to get water. This place violated Washington state laws.

Went here this afternoon to see a live concert on the rooftop patio. Did not eat any food but had a cocktail & a beer. The cocktail a Myers Dark Rum & Pineapple juice was a perfect pour. Not too strong, not too weak. $7.50 a fair price for a premium beverage. The beer, a NInkasi (sp) IPA was perfectly cold. One of 8 draft beers on tap for $5.75. Saw other people having yummy looking sandwiches & fries. Kept smelling fish & chips but never saw anyone eating any. Can't wait to go back & have some food & hang out on the roof top patio again! Note-Parking garage approx 1 block away $4/hr.

This place has a good vibe. Good music, nice staff, good food! Immorally overpriced. one drink costs more than the entire meal. Only two unisex bathrooms, that always have a line. Ive never had a bad experience here, as I mentioned before servers and chefs are both wonderful. PRICE PRICE PRICE... I don't think i can stress that enough. If you like hard rock( Like myself, Ive been to many), I would recommend, if you just wanna try it, I would go elsewhere.

I don't particularly enjoy chains restaurants. I wasn't looking forward to coming when I heard my twin friends' birthday was here. But, you know, at first I didn't mind this place. The waiter was all jazzed [even bragged about being amazing] and the restaurant looked decent. He said he'd be able to split the check for 14 people or pairs. Then I went to wait in line. For one of TWO unisex bathrooms. For as big and busy as this restaurant is, two toilets is not enough. I don't want to use a bathrooms after a bunch of dudes. There was pee on the floor and the seat. The guys were mad about having to share as well because it meant they had to wait longer in line, and there were no urinals. Back at the table, my friend got a large empty serving trays dropped on her. We got apps and drinks fine [though when we got there our party was told that first we had to wait for water, then we could order drinks, then appetizers, and then the very last we were allowed to order food]. The drinks and appetizers came a little while later, together. The waiter asked if my boyfriend wanted to change his fries for the cheese bacon fries, and then ended up with cold bacon fries in addition to the regular fries. After our plates were cleared we got no service for a half hour. We were not offered more drinks, though all of our cups were empty. There was no check brought over, nor was the dessert menu offered. Finally, we got a full bill for 14 people with none of it split up because it was "too hard" [despite the waiter saying he'd sort it properly while getting our drink order, but then he went out of order during the dinner order--which is what I assume messed it up]. Gratuity was included? Don't think so! [I am not a fan of America's over-obsession with tipping.] There was arguing back and forth--angry husband-of-birthday-girl vs. angry waiter. Our party was fine paying the bill, we just wanted it to come split up as promised! In the end it was sorted out with a manager who took about half of it off. It's not what we wanted--we just wanted to leave. Definitely will not be coming back. This dinner took THREE hours. Suggestion: Can someone please make an iPad or phone app where waiters can have the layout of a restaurant, the number of people at a table, and little tabs for each person so that each bill is split for each person. But can also be combined if desired. I mean, how often do large groups of unrelated people go out for dinner and one person pays?

"Been there, done that and got the tee-shirt," literally. We had just finished lunch across the street, and weren't interested in drinking so early in the day. But, as we often do when an HRC is encountered on a vacation, we dropped in to the Seattle location. What I've always found is that each HRC does something to convey the vibe of its host city's rock history, and in a city so rich with rock icons, there was genuine excitement at having stumbled upon the Seattle Hard Rock Café. Other than the printing on the clothing, there was nothing in the gift shop to indicate that we were actually in Seattle. I poked my head into the bar/restaurant, and although I only got a quick look, what I saw could just as well have been in Topeka. Don't get me wrong, HRC's are always cool, and each evokes great memories of other cities that I've visited. As others have stated, the Seattle Hard Rock Café is underwhelming by comparison . . . I'll leave it at that.

We just walked out of here!! We were standing and waiting, just a party of two, and the hostess allowed this other couple to be seated ahead of us. After telling them it would be about a 30 minute wait she suggested they go upstairs where they have open seating. They quickly returned downstairs because there were no open tables. Instead of adding them to the list to wait like the rest of us, she sat the couple immediately! I was so pissed!! I've never seen anything like that!! I'm sure those people will talk about how quickly they were seated but I for one will never return and will be sure to tell all of my friends how we were treated!

Let me just say the food is NOT worth the money. It's a really neat atmosphere and the service was fine, but if I'm going to spend $15 or so on a hamburger I would definitely go elsewhere. Not worth the slightly higher prices.

You know what Seattle? Relax! I'll take my own advice on this too. People have been too hard on the Hard Rock. Not only is this venue gorgeous but the food has improved a lot since last year when I first ate here. There's definitely an attention to detail here and while the food isn't quite up to Canlis standards, it's cheap, it's fast, and it's delivered with great service. Who doesn't like a burger or a BLT? My Dad enjoyed a slider and mentioned to me that it was amazing. I wanted a bit but he ate it so fast I didn't get the chance. An added bonus is that the staff are all educated on the various items of memorabilia hanging on the walls. You can ask about anything hanging on the walls and they'll know all about it. I'd usually thought I'd only be able to learn about whatever was mounted on the walls closest to me but I was encouraged to walk around and check out more. Very cool!

I really like this place for drinks before a show at the Showbox (right across the street). If you're not 18 years old and trying to stand in the front row of GA (whilst sporting a too-short skirt that shows your celly), you can drink while watching the line as it filters in... so you don't waste any time being sober. Haha. Also, I've been to a birthday celebration on the rooftop, which is just loverly on a purple/blue sky Seattle spring evening. You look over at Pike Place and the water on one side, the city on the other. All the bartenders I've encountered have been super sweet. They have good happy hour selections, but could improve on the food a bit -- why all the veggies in the quesadilla? Pico is enough, dude, simplify a bit. And the quality of some of the ingredients could be improved upon (see photo) - honestly I would expect MORE because it's a franchise; they should have the money to spend on this kind of thing. For ambiance and company though, it's a huge and beautiful venue.

My first visit was during happy hour, just before the Rock Star elite event... and I was blown away! The waitress was great and had a crazy fantastic memory when it came to the beer list. I didn't feel like getting any of the happy hour food, but the twisted mac & cheese (in the "sides" section) definitely caught my eye. I definitely enjoyed my meal (slightly spicy!) and whichever beer I chose that day. I prefer wheat beers and light beers in general, so it must have been one that fit that description. The first experience was great and they gave us little coupons toward our return visit (at the party), so I knew I'd be back for round two. That round included a steak (and beer) dinner with one of my favorite Yelpers. I have been avoiding meat a lot lately, but when I have it.... well, might as well do it right! The NY Strip Steak sounded too big for both of us, so we both had the Grilled Sirloin (8oz) with smashed potatoes, gravy and fresh veggies. The food... kind of reminded me of my experience at Outback Steakhouse, minus the bread and butter. It was pretty good, but didn't blow me away. I enjoyed the gravy with the potatoes and was a bit sad that the veggies were pretty cooked and very much about the broccoli (don't always love that stuff). It was still a good time, though, and we were definitely full at the end. Next time... I might just have to grab a booth instead of a bar area table. I enjoy people watching and drink discounts during happy hour, but that area just isn't as comfortable as those booths seem to be. I like.... that when the servers find a moment, they are likely to come up to you with an iPad and let you choose a song or a few to put in the queue! Their selection has some limits, but it's nice for customers to be able to choose the tunes. fyi: From what I can remember, there is only ONE bathroom downstairs for each gender. There are big ones upstairs with several stalls, so I hope there is no private party going on up there if you're ever there and really, really have to go (and the downstairs bathroom is taken)...

I've been here twice: 1) 2010 St. Patrick's Day with KISW Men's Room and 2) 2011 Yelp Elite Event. Food and drinks were ok! Staff was friendly! The only thing I had problems with was the bathroom on the 2nd floor. It was really dark in 2010, and it looked like that it's been improved, but it was still dark. In addition, I didn't think it was well maintained. It was running out of paper towel and it was not replenished.

We were here for a pretty big event (PAX party) so it was a different sort of atmosphere. The decor is really fun in here, although the interactive display at our table was not really working. The appetizers that they served were pretty tasty. The pulled pork and the endive cups were really good, the vegetarian egg rolls were just ok (too greasy). The staff were really great! Friendly and attentive, even though the place was jam packed. They never lost their cool.

I had some of the appetizers here during happy hour on a Sunday. We sat upstairs at the bar. There was an acoustic band playing. The service was good. The beer and food were really tasty. I had a great experience and loved the look and feel of the bar upstairs. The bartender was great too.

Hard Rock Cafe Seattle: Your staff last night was beyond impressive. Beyond. I'm kicking myself for not remembering his name, but our server just blew our entire group away. He was attentive and for lack of a better word at the moment - competent. I love competency. Our food (most of us ordered burgers) was good, but nothing exceptional (more info: cold cheese... i.e. unmelted... is not my favorite) The drinks were delicious and not liquor-sparing (thank youuu!!) Bathroom situation is disappointing... two stalls for a restaurant this large? Someone didn't think! But the WAITER... my GAWD. Great hire, guys. He was ON it. More observant than 99% of the waiters I've had at 5-star restaurants.

Was there for a party. Asked for a Bombay martini. The bartender says we can only do well brand. OK, what's your well brand. Beefeater. OK. give me a Beefeater martini. Oh we can't make that because it's not a well drink OR WHATEVER THE FAWK THAT IS SUPPOSED TO MEAN. A friend got the same runaround asking for an old fashioned and just had shatty jim beam on ice, instead. A company is paying you to host a party, make a damn drink, that is your job. I don't think we were going bankrupt you in vermouth, olives and sugarcubes. I want to give you one star but giving you a bonus star for little burgers that were pretty good. I ate a shitton of them to make up for the olives you were hoarding.

Despite knowing that it has bad reviews in yelp we took a chance. It wasn't a great experience for me and my wife. We had ordered a hot fudge Sunday for togo. We knew what it's going to be if we took a Togo but seldom expected that they would just pack us plain ice cream. We did ask them once if there is hot fudge inside the waiter confirmed it is. Disappointed! I have been to other hard rock cafés and I can say for sure this one is the worst.

There are so many negative reviews for Hard Rock, which is surprising to me. I came here last night for a private event (maybe that makes all the difference) and had a very pleasant experience. The servers and bartenders at the party were very friendly and quick and I did like their beer selection. Since I didn't order anything off the menu, my review is strictly for the venue. The private party room is great for bands and I really enjoyed seeing all the Memorabilia on the walls. I had a chance to get up on the Rooftop Terrace and it's a perfect spot overlooking Pike's Place Market! I think I'll have to try the Hard Rock as a restaurant and make my final assessment...so until then!

Delicious burgers - especially the local legendary, which is espresso rubbed. Excellent mixed drinks, though some are a little pricey. Decor is great - lots of local grunge memorabilia. Service is usually great. Had one waiter charge the kids at the table for adult beverages instead of the ones that come with their kids' meals. It raised the bill by $10 and when I said something about it, he happened to have a new one without those charges already printed and on him, but did not offer it until I said something... I suspect that once I paid he was going to submit the other receipt and pocket an extra $10 tip.

Hard Rock has been a good place to To dine no matter what country or state you're in, but this Seattle cafe SUCKS!! I went with out drinks for about 20 mins each time,And the restaurant was not busy at all! Our meal was brought out and 10 mins later they decide to give us condiments.... Our waiter decided to flirt with the customers, and even took his sweet ass time giving me the check because he was too busy trying to get a date

I've been here twice for happy hour and both times were top-notch. The bartenders and waitstaff were very attentive and friendly, and the happy hour prices were great. It was annoying that the cocktails and other drinks in the menu didn't have prices listed; and weird that the first time I came, those drinks were half off (like the Happy Hour prices for appetizers) but the second time I came, I was told they were full price during Happy Hour. The appetizers were good, I recommend the potato skins. There is also a fun and breezy rooftop bar with canopies and seating but it gets absolutely packed and people claim those canopies quick. Seating gets tight, but people are constantly flowing in and out, so finding a table isn't too hard. Also the live music was a plus and contributed to the whole Hard Rock experience.

Negative- Not enough bartenders for the rooftop garden area. Who charges over $5 for tortilla chips & salsa? Hmm they do. These are nothing more than the normal free side that you get at the local mexican restaurant so nothing special or fresh. A kazillion stairs to get to the rooftop garden area. They only serve drinks (no food) up here & there were 2 bartenders for over 100 people. You might want to rethink that ratio people! There shouldn't be a line wrapping around the entrance just to get a drink. Plus, the bartender was also on cleanup duty when he had time & spilled drinks all over some poor suckers. And yes, I'm included in that group of suckers. Granted, the guy was just too busy to be doing everything but damn... Positive- the view & the actual space was nice!

I went here for my birthday dinner with friends and family before hitting up the comedy show at Unexpected Productions. I made our reservation for 12 beforehand so seating was quick. Our waitress was great, always on top of the drinks being filled and splitting the bill appropriately. For a chain restaurant, I thought the food was great as did everyone else. Appetizers were good! For dinner, I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious! Everyone seemed to like their food and enjoyed the experience. I'll be back again for sure!

On Sunday, I went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle for my best friend's 21st birthday. It took me a few minutes to find them inside, because they told me there were two reservations under her last name but no one had showed up yet. After some waiting they came back and told me that there was a birthday party upstairs, if that was what I was looking for. My mom and I were able to order pretty quickly because everyone else had gotten there before us. I ordered nachos because it was one of the three vegetarian things on the menu. It was one of the last things to the table, and didn't seem to have much to it despite being too big and overpriced. I think there was only a little bit of beans on the whole thing. While I spent more time talking to my friend than I did noticing the wait staff, the guy did seem friendly. He dealt with the big group of people well, and we found out he was from Bellingham like my friend is. He also took group photos of some of us near the end, which was nice. I have been to two other Hard Rock Cafes in Las Vegas that were more interesting, and had more varying types of memorabilia on the walls, but that's probably because Vegas is a much bigger tourist town than Seattle is. In Vegas I saw more outfits and guitars from bands, this place had smaller items. But I did have a good time!

We've eaten in Hard Rock Cafes before and while not five star quality the food has always been edible. It seemed as though the available menu items has decreased and the selection was pretty limited. While I appreciated the calories being listed with each item, it begged the question why any restaurant fells it necessary to have at least 1000 calories in every sandwich. I ordered a chicken, bacon club thinking I could eat half and take the remainder home. When I found that the bacon was spicy, who serves spicy bacon, the chicken rubbery and the fries cold when they came to the table, we vowed not to go back. Tried to leave my boxed sandwich on the table but our server, who was the best part of the meal chased after us. The decor is nice, the space large enough that it would take a big crowd to fill it up but none of that makes up for the really bad food.

A lot of my friends love to hate this place but I just love it. I come here quite often for happy hours on the weekdays and I'm never disappointed. The music is loud but I like it, after all the name of this place is Hardrock Cafe not "Quiet Jazz Cafe". If you're stopping in for a bite you absolutely have to try the chicken tenders. They are without a doubt the best I've had in my life and that isn't something I'm quick to say. They are perfectly breaded, fried and seasoned and it comes with a great honey mustard. The also have pretty stiff drinks here, a double gin and tonic will leave me pleasantly buzzed.

I was less than impressed when I visited this restaurant. The wait staff was not very on it, we waited a long time for our dinner. After the long wait, the order wasn't correct. Probably will give it a try again some time in Seattle since it is close to the hotel we stay at when in town, but if they fail again, we won't be back.

Its a bummer that Hard Rock is going downhill. The prices have skyrocketed in the last couple years and the menu is half what it used to be. The staff, unlike the food, is incredible. I called about 10 minutes before coming in and the hostess said the wait was about 10 minutes. When we got there they said about 20-30. I told the hostess I had just called and she apologized a few times. She also said she would get us seated as soon as possible. We had Selina as our server and she was amazing. She was funny and really got along well with everyone. She kept checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. My moms pulled pork came out really cold, not her fault. She could not have apologized more and she really tried to make it right. I have eaten out millions of times and I have never had a server care about an experience or meal as much as she did. She took it off the bill and even comped her drink. She even wanted to get her any other meal or dessert. I hope that everyone who comes in gets her. I also hope management reads this because she definitely deserves a pat on the back. Im not sure how the other servers are but they can take pointers from her. I get why Hard Rock is fun and alluring but really the food is just okay. I had a ceasar salad that was tiny for 16$ my dads fajitas came out hot but the vegetables slightly burnt and the burgers were not better than Red Robin and at a starting price point of 15$ they should taste a lot better.

Went out to dinner with a large group. Just popped in with 40 people and they were very accommodating. Our waiter Jay was awesome (Jay is the reason for 5 stars) and took great care of us. Had a pulled pork sandwich which was good and very filling, came with fries coleslaw and baked beans for $15.

It is not great, but I was really pleased with and enjoyed my food. I have been back a couple time just to try their seasonal burger and I have not been disappointed ever with what they come up with. I like the music they play and the decor of the place. I have never been there for live music but the little stage area they have upstairs seems like it would be a fun little place to listen to some music.

Overpriced for the selection. I found myself having to look long and hard at the menu to find something I wanted to eat. Nothing really stood out. The menu consists mainly of mixed drinks and burgers (and the burgers aren't that good). Very loud location - not the place to mingle.

i had the local legendary burger (it was good). basing this review on the memorabilia visible. nice homage to '90's grunge bands & other local artists. didn't get to see what was on the second floor because there was a private party. there doesn't appear to be anything of jimi hendrix here.

I really like the upstairs room. It's got good sound if you're there to see a show. The bartenders are great upstairs. I've come up here many times for shows, and for musican meet-n-greet/panels. The food is decent. It's pretty much like Fox Sports Grill's food. None of it's bad, but none of it's great. The staff is awesome, though. The decor is awesome, however. I love how distinctly Seattle it is when it comes to the memorablia. Sean Kinney (Alice In Chains) has a drum kit hanging high on the wall. That's rad. The simple fact they have a picture of Andrew Wood here keeps me from writing Hard Rock Cafe as a corporate national chain who just inhabits the spot, to a corporate national chain that embraces the local music scene and it's history. I respect that they respect us.

We all know what to expect from a Hard Rock Cafe, right? Overpriced, blah "American" food, aggressive suggestion selling from flirty servers, and LOUD LOUD LOUD. So, no surprises there. Like all Hard Rock Cafes, the Seattle location is dimly lit and decorated in dark wood and black furniture, but they now have huge flat-screen TVs on every wall, to make it even more distracting when you're trying to have a conversation. The rock memorabilia here is pretty Seattle-centric - Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Jimi Hendrix. The lunch menu was even more pricey than I remembered and the nutritional info is horrifying, but I was pretty happy with the Cobb salad ($12) I ended up picking. A very generous amount of chicken, avocado, bacon, egg, and cheese layered across lettuce, with dressing on the side. Everyone else had burgers and sandwiches and seemed pretty happy with their choices. The most annoying part was actually our server. She was constantly pushing us to order more (food, drinks, gift shop items), was very loud and talkative, and was really over the top with the "Hey guys!" cheery friendliness. They have these gadgets where you can push a button to summon your server (because you can't see OR hear inside there), but we were joking about wanting a button to make her go away. The interactive display at our table was kind of fun, though - you can scroll through the memorabilia they have on display everywhere, vote on the next song that plays, etc. My curiosity is satisfied. I can't really imagine any possible reason for going again, unless you have visiting relatives who love the Hard Rock Cafe and live in terror of any type of "ethnic" restaurant.

Great food but not so great beer. We ordered beer and it ended up being skunked (Budweiser). We had to wait awhile to get the attention of our waiter to receive new beers. The price was really high for a simple restaurant.

I don't understand what all the negative is about? The rain must be getting to those grumpy Seattlites. Anyhoo, this is one of my favorite places. We come here all the time. Happy hour can't be beat, I crave the hickory smoked wings. Yes, being located above the market means crowds of mostly tourists. Not your thing, then there are plenty of pretentious places you can go. Our last visit was for my birthday, first week of June. We checked out the terrace overlooking the market all the way out to the water. Pretty cool! Our waitress was so awesome, I felt like she was a buddy. They sell the Pike's beer cheaper than they do! I've loved all the Hard Rocks I've visited, but this one by far is my favorite.

I was fairly excited when I found out there was a hard rock cafe in Seattle. I have been to quite a few and never had any complaints until now. Not only was the food unsatisfying the service made it even worse. They ignored us to the point where when they finally delivered our food it was cold as if they left it sitting on the service counter. Sorry to say but this place was a downer =(

Two stars....that's being generous, bc it's near Pike's Market. The service sucks, food is nothing special, and the prices are hella high. I spent $23+ for a burger and shake! Boo! My prediction, it'll only be open for two to three months. Bust for Seattle!

Service was really bad and the food was not great. We talked with a manager and she did a really good job. We actually got a 50% discount so now I feel kind of bad leaving the negative review but I would hate for others to have their afternoon ruined like we did. FYI, it took us 2 hours and 30 minutes to have dinner and there was no wait and only 4 of us. The new roof top bar looks really KOOL so maybe you can check that out.

This restaurant is by far the worst experience I've had at a restaurant in Seattle. We were seated immediately, and placed our food order soon after. Our food took over twenty minutes to arrive, and when it did, they had forgotten to remove certain toppings from a burger and also forgot that we had ordered onion rings instead of fries. They tell us they'll take care of it and get us some onion rings, so all seems well... Until we get our bill. We were charged for three burgers instead of the two we ordered and we were charged for the onion rings they forgot to give us in the first place. Beer was also ridiculously expensive. Avoid this place.

Got sucked into going here for the rooftop bar... but apparently it is only open on the weekends. Which seems silly, since that sapce should be a gold mine on sunny Seattle days. The decor is pretty nice and not very "chain restaurant" at all, but pretty much everything else is. Mediocre service, the worst of mainstream music and an entire meu of items that don't really save you money and are over 1500 calories. I'm no health nut, but if I'm gonna splurge, I want the tasty. There are just too many other options downtown for food and music in Seattle to justify coming here.

  • Noah B.

The food is blah, from a piss poor presentation, to the taste. Over priced for what you get. Drink prices are average at best. Since all the employees are mostly punk, its pretty chill and you don't have to worry about being too dressed up. However, there is plenty of places with just as chill an environment but better food.

Finally, Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle, I just had to go. I've been a Hard Rock Cafe fan for a while now. I've been to Hard Rock Cafes in Cancun, Cozumel, Acapulco and Mexico City, so I had to come get my Hurricane glass. But I don't think I'll be going back again. First we had a couple of drinks at the lounge upstairs, my hurricane was watered but the lounge is gorgeous and not too loud. Brrrpp, I fell something shaking in my pants.. oh, our table is ready: So we head to the restaurant on the main floor which is packed with teens, shakira can be heard over the loud, ridiculous shouts from the waiters birthday routine, they must have done it every 5 minutes. Mr Angus Young could have very well been there, and no one would have noticed. My Sirloin was chewy, the broccoli was mushy and yellowish and it just felt like an expensive Red Robin with older waitresses. The waitresses earned the 1 star. Food, music, price, ambiance and childish birthday shouts earn them nothing. I got my hurricane glass and I'm a happy camper, I just won't go back again.

HA! PERFECT. Now they can fill up on beef and beer before ogling titties at the peepshows around the corner. What next? TGI Friday in the Market? Chili's in Fremont? Well, actually that's probably not a far cry these days...

Met up with friends last night for dinner and show at HRC. Okay, so in my humble opinion the ONLY thing that rocked was the decor and friendly wait staff. Adult beverage was not made the way I ordered it. Should have stuck to a burger or salad (friends were happy with theirs) but I ordered the chicken marsala. The sauce was just like brown gravy and had one funky taste. But truly, my main reason for being there was to enjoy the Storm Large show. When you have a standing venue (90% of people stood and random seating around edges of large room/bar) why not elevate the stage 3 or 4 feet???? Ya think? Patrons (much taller than myself) stood right in front of the stage and made it impossible to see she and the band much of the time. And am I the only one who remembers when bouncers, actually bounced? Remove the yelling, yakety, idiots from the room. Especially when they manage to piss off the performers. While Storm managed to get some revenge with her encore song "A$#^*ole,," by then the magic of the night was dampened. Won't go back to HRC to see a show again, ever.

I've been here three times. The food is always good, but overpriced. Almost $15 for a burger. I LOVE the pulled pork sandwich. The last time we were there the waitress asked if we wanted onion rings instead of fries. She didn't mention there would be a $3 substitution charge per plate. UGH!

The Hard Rock Cafe is the best bar in Seattle on a nice day (besides any directly on the water). It has a huge rooftop area which is great to meet new people, enjoy the yummy drinks or relax with friends. I love going here!

This place was way overpriced and absolutely disgusting. Luckily my wife and I did not have to endure the wait that others had. We went on a Wednesday afternoon. We sat in a very uncomfortable table pushed right up to a wooden pole right next to the kitchen which was funny to me. Most of the restaurant was empty and they seat us in a place that is awkwardly placed and resulted in me getting my chair bumped a lot by staff and customers going to the bathroom. Our waiter finally gets there and sits down with us and takes our order. We both get a $15 DOLLAR BURGER. That is ridiculous even for Seattle. I get a beer from their small and boring beer selection and she gets some apple drink that tasted like a sugar monster took a crap in a glass. We finally get our food and hoping that the 15 dollars will get us a great burger I took my first bite and the entire thing fell apart. by the time I was done I was left with a disgusting looking and tasting goulash on my plate. The BBQ sauce was gross and the burger very undercooked which resulted in a very bad upset stomach later. I'm hoping this restaurant is just a fad and will not last. The only thing I enjoyed about this place was watching the music videos, but even those were not that entertaining.

Had to wait quite a while to get seated as the freak at the front was on the telephone. Not cool. Food was ok. We had potato skins and I had the spring rolls as dinner. Was good, not great though. My niece had chicken strips with fries but she hated the chicken- wasn't tender at ALL!!

This place is hard to rate fairly. It really is a must see in Seattle, but the food lacks serious consideration. The true rating should be 5 to see. Go in and see it, walk around and make sure you go upstairs to see all the stuff they have. As far as the food goes, maybe a 2. Eat there if you are really hungry and can't make it up the street to some of the other better places in town.

They forgot my order or something, so I had to wait a really long time. But I got a free steak, so that was good. The steak was a little tough. I also had a bite of their burger which was kinda meh.

My company had booked a post-conference reception on the rooftop, and I was stoked to go. A handful of us arrived early, so we ordered happy hour drinks at the bar. The bar area is fairly small, so it felt kinda crowded even though there actually weren't a lot of people. I ordered a drink for a coworker and myself from one of the two bartenders working. After taking my order, I watched as she then took orders & poured for about 4 or 5 people at the other end of the bar, and did some random chores. After literally, about 10 minutes of me watching her flit about, I finally got my drinks. I wasn't keeping my tab open, so I just gave her my card and told her I wanted to close out. I then watched her go in and out of the area behind the bar, serve other people, and do additional various & sundries, all with my card in her hand. I was actually afraid she would drop my card somewhere. Other people from my company were showing up, getting their drinks from the OTHER bartender, and being served & done with the transaction, all while I was waiting to just get the f-ing receipt for the drinks I had ordered 15 minutes prior. Seriously, it took me about 15 minutes from ordering drink to signing credit card receipt. I've been at plenty of places that were way busier, and although you might wait a bit to get the bartender's attention, they take care of you lickety split. That's how it's supposed to be done. I think the other bartender noticed I was clearly unhappy, although I didn't raise my voice once. When coworkers would come up and say stuff like "are you STILL waiting??", I would shrug my shoulders and say "yup". When I finally got my debit card slip to sign, the bartender serving me said something to the effect of "I'm sorry you're not happy.". Vodka tonic and a glass of wine came to a grand total of somewhere just shy of $19. As an expression of my dissatisfaction with the service I had received, signed the slip for $20.... only because that was quicker and easier than writing the exact amount for my bill and giving her NO tip. Balancing my checkbook last night, I found that HRC had run a charge for * $30 *. Shady much? I mean, that's both unethical AND illegal, right??? Hence my less than favorable review here. Disputed the charge with my bank on principle even though it was just $10. They're giving it to me because it was just $10, I would prefer they made HRC aware of the incident. Who knows how many other times this person has done that? The bartenders at the actual reception were a little rude, as noted by many coworkers, but at that point I didn't care. The only thing earning this place a second star, from my experience, were the apps they put out for us. I will assume those were made there, and IMO, they were pretty awesome actually.

I've been to several Hard Rock Cafes, and I keep forgetting that their menu (standard for all) doesn't have a lot to offer vegetarians (and what they do offer isn't very tasty). This time I vow to remember, and won't go back. Which is a shame, because I dig the decorations, and the staff have always been very fast and courteous. It's a bit pricey, but that's not surprising considering they are such a "high-profile" restaurant.

Being a Hard Rock Cafe, this place is primarily yuppie-ish 20-year-olds mingling among artifacts of the rock icons of 50-year-olds. There is, of course, the nod to famous locals -- Hendrix, Cobain, etc. -- and among this stuff you'll actually find some items less than 50 years old. The wood decor and lights are pleasant, the staff were all unusually nice, the bar is serviceable, and the food is fairly good. It also looks like they're trying to book some bands that are a little more hip than Top Forty homages on the walls (with the friends of the band standing out sharply from the preppy regulars) . It's not the sort of place I'll go often, but if you react to the term "guitar god" with reverence rather than rolling your eyes, you'll probably enjoy it.

The service was horrible, but the drinks were good. We went for a birthday and I understand that big parties usually dont get great service, but this was ridiculous. I asked for a water and never got one, had an empty drink for about an hour, took forever to get our drinks, and the waitress was just not very friendly. I do have to say that the Rum Runner i ordered was good and it was pretty strong as well. However; the simple mixed drinks didn't even have full shots in them. The thing that irritated me the most was the fact that they made us pay the 18% gratuity even though it clearly stated that it was optional. We paid $35 for a tip instead of $40 which was still 15%. The waitress stopped us and told us that we shorted her by $5. In my opinion she should have been happy to get anything.

Ok Hard Rock Cafe has been around a long time so they should have this thing figured out, right? This cool new location is sorely lacking some basics like service and facilities. If you need to go to the restroom, you need to plan about 30 minutes of waiting in line. Food was average at best, and the drinks were ridiculously expensive. The staff were amazingly rude, and you have to love them arguing in front of customers. The best part, when I asked for a glass of wine, the waiter actually said "No. That means I have to walk to the other side of the building." But, it's Hard Rock, and its a gorgeous new location. Just don't ask for too much. (by the way, he did actually go get a glass of wine for me)

I can't believe Hard Rock has only been averaging 3 stars! I gave it 4 (and I hardly ever give a 5!). My husband and I went there after a failed happy hour attempt at the Red Lion and what a turnaround! The wait staff was jamming out at the front, the music was not too loud, people were getting seated, we were offered seating at the bar. Our bartender Dan The Man (big props Dan!!) not only had a great attitude, but great suggestions on food, drinks - wasn't not too pushy and when we were done eating, he recommended that we check out the upstairs bar. So we did - what a great place with great people Breanna and Elijah were awesome. I recommend this place for happy hour, prefunk or just hangin out.

First of all lets just say this is the most overpriced burger out there!! I only went there for my son's 16th birthday because I love him so much. The atmosphere is not worth the prices!! Better off to buy an EMP membership and enjoy that as much as you want. The waiter, Scott totally embarrassed us by telling everyone I was flirting with him (ugh, imagine a balding waiter thinking that!) and then proceeded to insult our entire group with off kilter stupid jokes. If that wasn't bad enough it took FOREVER to get a glass of wine, which by the way had no prices in the booze menu. FINALLY an entire hour went by and we got our very expensive and worse than mediocre food. AWFUL. At one point during the meal I left to use the restroom and let me tell you it was worse than any honeybucket in Kansas. It was FILTHY and food and feces all over the floor and walls. I went to the manager and she explained they keep it clean and their ever proficient staff clean the restrooms every 15 minutes..........(probably she was taking the same drugs as our balding poser waiter. I love my son but I will never go back there. Not worth the price at all. Dinner for 4 almost $200.00. I would rather go to McDonalds. DON'T waste your time or money at this high priced chain. It is for posers.

Came here tonight with a date for dinner. She got the sirloin and I got the chicken fajitas. My fajitas were alright although the chicken was kind of bland and for 18 bucks i didn't get much meat either...the steak was no more than 8 oz served with brocolli and a scoop of fried rice. Our bill came out to just over 40 bucks. Service is pretty friendly and not too slow. They do kind of stand around a bit but are willing to help and are very personable. If you're the kind of person that wants a server that will kiss your ass and speak with such proper etiquette and manners that a britishman would be envious of then this place is not for you. Rather they treat you like friends and are pretty welcoming. Only downside would be the prices....seriously it's hella expensive and you can get the same quality food if not better with the same portions for nearly half the price at applebees! Good experience however doubt I'll be back.

I've been to many Hard Rock Cafe's throughout the US but this is definitely the most sylish one I've ever been too. It has a Northwest vibe with dark stone walls and floors and very contemporary fixtures, it's pretty cool. I didn't have a whole lot of time to walk around and look at the memorabilia but there was a lot of it and I'll do that the next time I go back. For this trip, I was meeting up for a friend's b-day on the rooftop deck. It's pretty cool up there, kind of Vegas wannabe with the cabanas, but the happy hour prices are good and the beer selection is decent so I was happy. On a gorgeous day (such as the day I was there) it's a great place to grab a drink and chat it up with some friends. I didn't try the food but I've never been impressed with Hard Rock Cafe food elsewhere and - it being a chain - I probably won't love it here either. But I can tell that this would be an awesome place to see a show so I'll have to do that next time!

I went here with my sister for a late lunch on a Monday afternoon. It wasn't busy, which was nice, and we were seated right away. We were first seated at a small table for two, but were soon asked if we would rather have a booth, which we did. They have these things called ESPs at each table and they were not ever explained to us. From what I could tell, it is a way to get your server's attention at the push of a button. I suppose this could be handy if it were busy. As it wasn't, we didn't have the need to try it out. The atmosphere was the standard HRC -- memorabilia on the walls and loud music. My sister thought it was too loud, but I didn't. We both ordered burgers. Sis had the Grilled Granny Smith Apple & Provolone Burger and said it was pretty good. I had the Local Legendary which was an espresso dry-rubbed patty with provolone cheese, fried onions (the flour they were fried in also contained espresso), a jalapeno mayo, with a fried jalapeno pepper on top of the bun. I honestly expecting more flavor from it. The espresso-flour made the onions taste burnt when tried alone, but with everything they were fine. The dry rub was nice, but I really couldn't tell there was espresso in it. And the jalapeno mayo was a little lacking. They do provide extra on the side, and it was also a good dipping sauce for my fries. I'm not sure what the fried jalapeno on top is there for. I made the mistake of slicing it and putting some on the burger, and then couldn't taste anything but the pepper after that. I was glad I had eaten half of the burger before I tried that. I like spice, but it was too over-powering. Overall, the food was good, not great. The service was good as well. We were seated quickly and our server did keep an eye on us, without the use of the ESP system. It did seem as though there were way too many servers on staff, though. The tables next to us each had different servers and there were often servers just standing around near the front waiting for something to do. I probably won't go again anytime soon unless I'm with some out-of-town friends.

As Hard Rock's go...this one is "ok". It's a bit plain on the decor...needs to be "rocktified"!!! The food was overpriced a bit for your basic burger and fries. The wait staff is too busy chatting with each other and partying upstairs "with the band" than taking care of their customers. Sat in the bar upstairs after dinner and after about 20 minutes was finally acknowledged by someone. The opening band was great...but the headliner...well they need a bit more experience! After the lead singer announced this is the first over 21 club, since they usually play at 13 year old girl's parties, most of the audience left. Hopefully, after some time, this place will improve!!

Great atmosphere...very busy Memorial weekend. Pin collector's card helpful in priority seating. Good food. Waiter broke my camera-- the HRC manager replaced my camera. Did not mean to change policy that staff will no longer taking customer's pictures...people like to take group photos...hopefully the manager will reconsider...the waiter did seem sincere in his apology...

The good thing, I was already pretty tipsy by the time we came here. It was busy and they still had not opened up the bar upstairs which is way much roomier and prettier than the one down. I was fortunate enough not to try their food, my friends that did said they paid way too much money for what they got. As my hubby put it to one them "You paid 20 bucks for mac & cheese, come to my house and I will make it for you for 10" The drinks are way over priced. Do not drink any of their fruity stuff, it is gross, syrupy and 14 bucks! I actually was pretty disappointed, but my friends made up for the bad service, food and drinks. We had a blast! (plus I got a nice souvenir shot glass that I actually ain't to proud to strut)

The project manager for this ones needs to rethink his/her career move. I was there on Saturday, it's opening weekend. The place wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. The only reason I knew about it being there was that it was on the news. Press coverage for this sucked! Not enough people know about this, they should've advertised it a little better. This place didn't seem like it was ready to be opened that week. No soap in the dispensers at peak hours. The soap was in pump bottles on sitting on the counter. Chairs weren't all out and everyone in the upstairs bar was playing shifting them all around to accommodate the parties. The bartenders... I don't normally talk about those that serve me drinks... but the two that were there that night didn't know what the F\f&$% they were doing. I sat at the bar for an hour or so, and two of them didn't know how to make 1 in every 3 drinks ordered. All we heard from them was "remind me, what's in them again?" This is hard rock... hire some better bar keeps. They spent the majority of the time talking amongst other staff other than the waiting on the customers. This won't stop me from going again. Hopefully they finish painting, setting up furniture, and straighten up their act before I come again.

A little disappointed. However, I only ordered a burger but you can't really do a burger wrong. The burger was tasteless, dry and over cooked to a charcoal. The waitress wasn't too attentive. The alcoholic beverage that came to our table wasn't the one that was ordered. I spent over $100 for our dinner and left feeling jipped. I would usually give a restaurant a second try but I have no desire this time.

Worst chain restaurant i've gone to. I really wish to give them no stars. 1st of all the server was rude or has a bad attitude. Service sucks. He never listens to what we order, thinks he is the king of hard rock. I asked specifically for the pulled pork sandwich without BBQ sauce and he brings me one with BBQ sauce. The food is bland. no flavor at all. And my girlfriend said she wants her food to be boxed and he came with the desserts and i asked do you have the box. Oh i threw it away. Anyway they made a brand new one. i mean they should. 3 of us went and the bill $90. Not worth at all. I will be never going back there.

I dragged my BF downtown to check out Seattle's Hard Rock Café for "just one drink". Wow, it was loud! We decided we would just go straight to the very small bar area right at the restaurant entrance when the hostess told us that the rooftop bar was also open. I think the rooftop bar will be more popular as summer approaches. Couches all around with a mini-bar taking care of the patrons and a view of the famous Pike Place logo. However it wasn't a warm sunny day so we decided to stick with the indoor bar area right inside the restaurant entrance. We had a view of Pike and 1st, interesting people-watching anyway. Our server was very energetic, friendly and all-around-happy, and kind of reminded me of that Food Network guy, Guy Fieri. In fact, most of the staff came across that way. The music was also high-energy and nostalgic. I felt that I could go for a snack so I ordered a side of grilled shrimp and my BF ordered a plate of spicy chicken tenders. My shrimp was very simple...grilled and sprinkled with black pepper which was just what I wanted anyway. The chicken tenders were only half devoured and the rest brought home in a box. It's not high end cuisine, but it's a Hard Rock Café chain, and it was kind of what I expected. And we'll probably come back for cocktails. We had great service and I loved the music.

I am currently handicapped but a friend of mine was performing and urged me to go. I figured I could find a table and enjoy the show. Upon arriving the counter staff where ignoring customers and taking photographs with each other. I went to give my ID to the "bouncer" and received attitude when I asked it they had an elevator as I could not get up the stairs on crutches. He got someone to assist me who was incredibly rude, even pushing the door open (not holding it) and saying go so the door fell right back on me. I was told I would have to go through the crowd of people to give them my ticket even though I was able to present it to the employee assisting me. I was not going to be able to get through the crowd and decided I would have to leave. I had slipped a few times getting upstairs but on my way out the door actually fell over because of the thick layer or grease on the floor, as my injury is on my foot falling is very dangerous. I tried to be polite and told the lady at the front desk that they are going to need to do something about these slick floors and received a blank look. This was the worst experience I have ever had in any establishment. This staff obviously needs to be trained on customer service.

ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! I am not the type to ever complain or make a fuss, but our lunch experience at the Hard Luck was so awful that I felt compelled to write my first ever on-line review. And judging from other reviews, I am not alone. We thought that lunch at the 'legendary' Hard Luck would be a cool experience for our teen-age daughter on my day off. And 'cool' it was! As soon as we walked in, we kept waiting for the chilly draft inside the front door to subside. But once seated, we noticed that all the other patrons were still wearing their coats and sweaters. I wouldn't hesitate storing an open jar of mayo in that place. After being seated and ordering, it was a good 45 minutes before we saw any hint of our food being delivered. Then we saw what looked like our order being traipsed around the restaurant by a lost waiter? cook? busboy? He passed our table twice before figuring things out. My pulled pork sandwich was passable until I extracted a 3 x 6 inch piece of plastic wrap from its center. Then my daughter pulled a chunk of something out of her mouth after a bite of her burger that she said tasted like 'butthole'. Our waitress was conveniently in absentia through all this. It was another long wait before we got our bill. $48 for three mediocre dishes with plastic wrap filling and butthole enhancements. We were too upset and in a hurry to spend time complaining. Immediately after paying our bill, my wife realized that we had not asked for our AAA discount. But alas, the bill had already been reconciled - no cigar! How does this place stay open?

First of all, I think the name of this place needs to be changed to Soft Rock Cafe. Mediocre food at double the price. Weak and overly sweet drinks. Sent back my drink (mojito, tasted like 7up) for something different (vodka pineapple) and it was just as sweet and just as weak as the one before it. I would not come back here for the food or drinks again. I have heard that the rooftop deck is awesome but that's not worth the trip to me to wait in the line to go up the stairs (at least, there was a line on the night that I was there). Our server was just OK. He seemed preoccupied with listening to the table behind us and when his shift was ending he was way too eager to scoot us out. He was not happy about replacing my drink either. He charged me for the mojito and not for the vodka pineapple. I didn't say anything even though the mojito costs more. I just wanted out of there. This place is not a place you'd want to come to regularly. There's a dance floor upstairs but the night I was there it was $20 to get in. It's just an awkward place in the city for a club, over priced, and filled with Jersey Shore wannabes. So unless you fit that description, I do not recommend!

I went with 2 other people, and we all had the same "feeling" from this place...first of all, it took so long for the hosts to figure out how their own computer systems worked to find us a table...when we finally sat down, we were greeted by a nice guy, kinda cheesy (but I think you have to be a robot to work there) We all ordered beers which took so long to get, we ordered nachos as an appetizer which were good, and came out quick. We ordered our food at the same time, and that took forever. Our food was ok. Slightly cold, greasy, and pretty bland... kinda like leftover Applebee's food. We were all pretty stuffed afterwards, and waited another long while for our bill. Our bill came and it was almost 100 bucks. Whattttt???? This place was a rip off, way overpriced and totally not worth it. Not to mention we all felt like crap afterwards and had horrible stomach aches the whole rest of the night....no thank you.

Wanted to check out the new Hard Rock. Walked in and sat at a small table near the windows. I walked around and upstairs to check it out while my partner ordered us a drink. When I came back, not a single person had even said so much as, "I'll be right with you." We sat and watched several staff members walk by us without even a single acknowledgement. Sat at least 5 minutes without anyone saying hello, so decided to spend our money somewhere else.

The Hard Rock Cafe- Seattle is the least cool place I've ever been in my life, and one of the worst restaurants. T and I attended an event downtown last night that ended at 9. It's strangely impossible to find a restaurant that is still serving dinner at 9 on a Sunday in downtown Seattle, but this place was open. We thought, Why Not? We swiftly and thoroughly learned Why Not. My menu was stuck together with something brown. Syrup? Bbq sauce? I guess it doesn't really matter. There was food on my seat, which I gamely flicked onto the floor before sitting down. When I opened the menu, my mouth fell open. They charge $14 for a cheeseburger? And nobody expects that it will be good? And people pay this? But we were starving, and so we ordered. Our waitress was a perky little hard rocking maiden who had moved up from the San Antonio store to help open the Seattle one. She was covered in flair, and I wondered if anyone could really enjoy, as she professed that she did, the electronic watch/leash by which the food is ordered, and which would summon her to our table if we "dropped a straw, and needed a new one." (her words). We waited for about 45 minutes for our food, and we were pretty much the only ones in the restaurant. When our food arrived, our waitress proudly told me that she wasn't even going to charge me a dollar for the raw onion on the side that I had requested. Thanks? Somehow, my husband's food was both cold and burned. Mine was room temperature, and the fries, whose frying had rudely help up the rest of the meal, went from scalding to freezing in less than a minute. Well played, Hard Rock. I chewed and swallowed about six bites of food while watching Gene Simmons do his best Kid Rock impression on the table side screen. I felt ill. I had the privilege of paying more than twice what I would have at a decent burger joint, earned a stomach ache, and wasted over an hour of my life at the Hard Rock Cafe- Seattle last night. Let this be a lesson to you all.

Paraphernalia, paraphernalia, paraphernalia!!!!! Oh, and the ribs were pretty good too! Now, I'm not too much of a national restaurant chain fan (i think they're usually overrated) but this experience was well worth it. First sight, looks like a pretty uniform dining hall (that's the down side) and a decent looking open kitchen......along the walls though.........guitars, drums, album covers, an LA LAKERS jersey? Sports memorabilia doesn't excite me too much, this world is saturated with it.....but a jersey belonging to ANDREW WOOD? NICE!!!!! That's freakin' original! I arrived late and didn't order my own food, just grazed off of friends' plates of ribs and fries......so my opinion of the food was good and left a lot to the imagination (I'll be going back). One thing to note: touch screens at every booth, you can vote on the next song and read a brief description of their memorabilia......definitely going back.

Hard Rock will rock your world-NOT-although they will make sure to Rock your bank account-went in today (Oct. 17-2010-) for the first day of Seattle's Famous Restuarant week for lunch about 2:30 with party of four-we are given the special menu which includes a 3 course meal for 15.00-when getting ready to order the waiter states we cannot use this lunch menu and will have to order from the regular menu or wait until dinner starts (4;00 pm) and order from the 25.00 menu--they offer no explination why they cannot cook bascially the same food that is on the regular menu only smaller portions--i really do not feel like ordering a 16.00 burger on a bun or some 17.00 mac and cheese that probably came out of a 99 cent box of Kraft mac-n-cheese in back-after speaking with manager Alex he offered no hope and could not care less that they would not honor the restaruant week menu--a decent manager would have offered us perhaps a free entree or even an appetizer or desert for Hard Rock not honoring their commitment to the lunch menu but not Manager Alex-- he is more concerned with rocking your wallet out of as much for inflated food prices as he can--with their stantoffish attitude we decided to make tracks out of their pronto-their are too many decent places to eat right their at Pikes Place Market to have to put up with hard rocks sky high food prices, arrogant managers, and decor that should have been sold on E-Bay 20 years ago--i am thinking with these inflated prices and arrogrant, poor management this joint will soon follow Planet Hollywood's lead and slowly slip into Elliot bay never to be heard from again--perhaps Manager Alex can return to his old job at running the drive through window at Dick's Burgers--i'll have mine with frys', Alex-----

I live in Seattle. I went into the Hard Rock Cafe for the first time a couple of weeks ago when my friends invited me to their friend's CD release show in the 2nd floor bar. I initially met them downstairs at the first floor bar. It was pretty busy. So when I sat down, my friend got the bartender's attention, pointed to me and said, "Here's the friend I told you would be joining me. She needs to order." He told me that he needed to take another table's order and that he'd be right back. I nodded. 7-10 minutes later, more of my friends arrived and sat down beside us. He was so preoccupied with getting them seated and taking their orders (even though they'd just come in) that, try as I may, I could not seem to get his attention--verbally, or with my eyes. Finally, I got my drink order in with theirs, a good 10 minutes after I sat down at the bar. Then, we moved upstairs. My two friends and I walked up to the bar and placed our drink orders at roughly the same time. A female bartender with long, dark brown, straight hair asked us, "Are you going to keep a tab open?" I responded, "No, we have cash." She sighed and her facial expression seemed almost seemed irritated. I was confused, and thought - don't businesses usually prefer that you pay with cash? I shrugged it off. She poured one of my friend's drinks first and handed it to her. I watched my friend hand the bartender cash for her drink while I and my other friend dug in our purses for our own money. The bartender set the change on the counter. Then, she poured our drinks and handed them to us as we handed our money to her. My friend who'd paid first had left the bar to watch her friend start to play his music on stage. The bartender turned to us and, referring to woman who'd just walked away, said, "Your friend didn't pay for her beer." My other friend and I responded in unison, "Yes, she did. We are sure of it. Here's her change." (pointing to the counter) The bartender sternly said to us, "No, she did not pay for her drink." We repeated, "She did. We saw her." Then, the bartender looked to us as if we should be responsible for paying for our friend's (already paid for) drink. I said, "She paid already, and I don't have any more cash." I then told my accused friend about what happened, and she chose not to confront the bartender about it. I let it go. My friend who was accused of not paying hadn't planned on ordering any more drinks that night, but my other friend went back to the bar to order later. This friend - who was not even the one who'd been accused of not paying - was intentionally overlooked by the same bartender. The bartender literally looked over my friend's head at the man standing behind her and, with clear and intentional disregard for my friend who'd done nothing wrong, asked, "What can I get for you?" We definitely did not deserve to receive poor service from a bartender for something that *our friend* didn't even do! I don't believe I'll be back.

I know it's the Hard Rock Cafe but come on. It's as if they're openly daring customers to call them on their crappy food. I fully expect one of the waiters to say "ok, you got me... yeah it sucks, I know." Anyway... Had a couple appetizers - chicken tender and nachos. The chicken tenders were not even warm, I expected them to be a hot item. Is that wrong? There must be a cheese shortage because the nachos were very anemic in the dairy dept. I was there to see music and grabbed dinner before the show. I'll have to grab dinner somewhere else next time.

We were looking forward to eating here and decided to go when youngest son turned 17, this past April. The place was so BORING. We did go on a week night at around 5pm, but the place was just so quiet and dark and extremely blah. We've been to some really great Hard Rock Cafes and found our Seattle one to be most disappointing. The food was good but nothing special. I'm glad we finally went to say we've been there, but we're definitely not making any plans to return unless out-of-state/country relatives insist on going there. It's in a great place near Pike Place Market, so I'm sure it can get livelier at night. As far as the memorabilia goes, they have some interesting things, but it's weird walking around and standing by someone's table to look up at the stuff. Nothing is off by itself , away from customer seating areas, so one feels comfortable standing and staring. I recommend everyone go here once just to say you've been, but don't expect too much at the typical dinner hour. It's typically overpriced. Teenage son and his older brother by four years were not overall impressed with the place, though teenage son really put away the ribs and seemed to enjoy those immensely. Honestly, I think they'd rather have gone to Burgermaster, and husband's pocketbook would have been happier, too.

Awful all around. I called ahead for a 'PX" Hard Rock's equivalent of a reservation. I reserved a table for twelve, and was told by a very helpful staff member it wouldn't be a problem. She was the only helpful staff member we encountered. My husband and I arrived at 8pm, and were 'greeted' by a couple of rude teenage hosts who informed me "we don't take reservations". I corrected myself, and told him we had a " PX" (whatever that is). The homely host asked me, "well, is everyone in your party here?' No, they were not, Although the cafe was pretty much empty, those power trippin' brats wouldn't give us a table! wtf? About a half hr later, we were finally able to be seated, at one of the many big empty tables. Thanks a lot Hard Rock, you rule! The food, gross at best. I had the potato skins, which were bland, as in I had to salt them! I did not expect good food, but really how do you eff up potato skins? I have been to more sanitary port-a potties then the restrooms there. Urine and toilet paper everywhere. Don't even try and go to the roof top deck cuz it will likely be closed. The only redeeming quality was the band and the venue. I would never come here for drinks or food again.

I can only speak for the bar here. A group of at 30 of us came here for drinks the night before a big wedding and we fit comfortably around the bar area. The bartenders were very attentive and made us all feel like light weights after a drink or two. Despite this being a typical American chain, you do indeed get what you pay for. One of the bartenders here honored my request to spoil the bride and groom in front of the whole restaurant and gave them two free shots.

Ok, so this was my first time at any Hard Rock Cafe. We were told that we has a 15 minute wait. We were given one of those buzzers that light up and vibrate when your table is ready. While we waited, we went to the shop. They had the actual outfit that Nancy Wilson of Heart wore during a concert. Lots of things with Pearl Jam, which I was hoping to find something with Nirvana on it instead. Our time went by quick. I ordered the salmon and a hurricane with a keepsake glass, my hubby - beef fajitas and a margarita with a keepsake glass, my 16 yr. old - grilled cheese which wasn't even on the menu but they still made, and my 12 yr. old - a hamburger. We all enjoyed our food immensely. The entire time we ate, we got to enjoyed watching videos. Overall, we had a great time and a great dinner.

We finally have a Hard Rock Café in Seattle, HMMMM. Came here to grab a bite before a Toots & The Maytals show at the Showbox at the Market. For a Friday night, it was pretty full, but it was only about a 15 minute wait prior to being seated for a party of 5. I do like all the touch screens both in the lobby and at the table to keep you occupied while you wait for a table or your food. The ESP machine that the waiter connects himself with by his / her watch and you can use to call him / her if you want something is cool, but a little weird / odd feeling since I felt like I was ringing a bell to get their attention. We did have to use it a couple times though to get another drink & to get our bill. I think he checked in on us one other time, but that was about it. So, it was helpful. The food, well, overpriced and not so good. I had the potato skins and I think they seemed like they had been sitting under the heat lamp for some time. They were something like $9 or $11 dollars. UM, WOW, for potato skins. The other two plates, seemed to be mediocre. 2 of the group only drank beer and for whatever reason, a couple of the beers they were originally going to order, they didn't have. Who doesn't carry PBR??? REALLY. Not that I drink it, but I definitely know quite a few that do!!! If I recall correctly, they did carry some local beers, which is cool! The other thing I didn't enjoy was the little, not so informative leaflet they gave us at the beginning to promote their shop. It's right there to the left once you walk in and has a separate entrance. If I wanted to buy something from their shop, I would have gone and looked. Not like the leaflet gave much information on what they had to offer. Great tourist place or if in a need for a place near the Showbox at the Market for some food, but seriously I don't know if I would purposely come here.

I saw they had a rooftop bar so while we were in Seattle we took a water taxi from East Seattle across to the city, enjoyed Pike Place Market and our walk to the Hard Rock from there. Beautiful views all around will have to go @ night next time. Nice sunny day and enjoyed visiting with people from all over the US in the casual lounge setting.

Service, horrible! They were busy, so that's why I am giving them two stars instead of one! Our waitress was rude and didn't want to be bothered. We came here for lunch and the food was mediocre at best. I have been to different hard rock cafes and wouldn't recommend this one at all!

So I am not a fan of the hard rock at all! There are about 20 places i a 3 block radius I would choose to go before here. That being said they do have really cheap drinks for happy hour and the rooftop deck is awesome. The food is mediocre so have fun..

Ups: Good service. Clean. Good ambiance Downs: unbelievably overpriced Food was just ok... I wanted to give this place 3 stars but the combination of mediocre food and the outrageous price blows it. Seriously dont waste your time here. If you want decent american food for the price and a good atmosphere just go to red robin. Sure its not a gourmet meal. but the food there is IMO better and only about seven bucks a plate. Where at hard rock you drop 15 on a boring burger.

Everyone coming here for the food is mistaken. You want good food? Why are you at HRC? This is like complaining that the $1.50 hot dog at Costco isn't that great. Visit the plethora of amazing restaurants in Seattle. Not this place. Anyway, go during summertime and enjoy the rooftop deck. Since there are very few rooftop bar decks in Seattle, this place gets 3 stars by default.

The atmosphere is pretty sweet. Cool guitars, and the usual Hard Rock memorabilia. The music was a little loud for a restaurant though (6:00pm is when we were there). The food was good, but it was too expensive. I got a Greek burgher of some sort and it was quiet tasty. But for that and a vodka tonic for $24? A little too much.....perhaps it really is intended for tourists.

Once upon a time, the HRC was a cool iconic place to go that happened to also have really good food. Now that the ideas is a bit outdated, you'd hope you could still go for the good food. In Seattle, I expected to see loads of 90's grunge memorabilia, and don't get me wrong, there was. But most of it was just posters that it seems like any of us could have. Some were signed but not most. The one displays they had of Eddie Vedder's guitar was cool, but they carelessly placed an ordering monitor over the plaque explaining the history, so I couldn't read anything about it! The food just plain sucked. The burger we ordered was tasteless and the fries were so over-salted that they were inedible. My son order BBQ chicken wings of the KIDS MENU but they served them with the Buffalo sauce that burned his mouth so bad he drank two glasses of water and stuffed a napkin in his mouth for 15 minutes after one bite. THe waitress took them back and brought back wings with no sauce that looked horrific. Really disappointing. Only restaurant choice we made in Seattle that we wish we could take back!

From the front up the building to the back, its awesome!! They have a little shop where you can buy things as well right next door. You walk in and you're greeted by the very friendly staff. They have a bar right in front if you don't want to go and sit down to eat. I had the local burger that was huge!! It was 10oz and I ate that thing in less then 5 min's! I was so hungry. The server was like where did it go?? I said I ate it all. My girlfriend was laughing at me! Also had a smoothie that comes with a glass. Very tasty meal I would have to say. I have to go back again, since I had to leave quickly. Need to see the top floor and outside area I saw online.

This review is in regards to a group event my company hosted at the Hard Rock Cafe. I know it is very difficult to find a nice venue for large groups in Seattle at a reasonable price point, and the Hard Rock Cafe delivered in spades. The manager Chris Weaver was professional, pleasant and accommodating. She never made me feel like I wasn't spending enough or that my party wasn't big enough, even though it was only a cocktail hour. Her responses were always prompt, thorough and on-point. The event itself turned out fantastic-postcard views of Seattle, fabulous friendly service, and great food and drinks. If you are looking for a place to host a group event, you really can't do better than The Hard Rock.

Well, we went there yesterday for my birthday. The party consisted of: Me, my husband, my 2 sisters, brother-in-law, sisters boyfriend, and 3 kids = 9 people. We walk in around 5:45, the place isn't busy @ all, which I didn't expect. I told the hostess (there were 4 standing there!) that there was a party of 9, and looked at me wide-eyed and goes "ohh...uhmm...let me see..." Basically implying that we are a burden to this franchise for even asking for a 9 top. Well, there was basically NO wait, we were seated 10 minutes later...so I don't see what the problem was? Anywho, our waiter was a jackass. He wasn't polite in the least, and CONSTANTLY sarcastic. I mean I roll with the punches. I am as sarcastic as they come for a female, however, he wasn't personable in the least. I wish I remembered his name, so I could warn you of him. Everytime we asked him for something, or a question about anything he responded by "NO", "didn't you read the sign downstairs?", and then a minute later saying "no, we have that, I'm kidding..." Or just not even answering a serious answer at all. Like when asking if he could split the check. He said "no." Yet at the end of dinner, he came out with 3 separate checks. I am pregnant, so didn't order alcohol, however, my husband and 2 others did. Even though 2 of the 3 drinks weren't under the "comes in souvenier glass" menu, we were required to buy the damn cup, which was $15. THANKS FOR MARKING THE MENU, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS POINTLESS! WE STILL HAD TO TAKE THE CUPS HOME THAT WE WILL NEVER USE! (I got a milkshake...not that exciting) I got the Granny Smith apple burger. It was good, and HUGE! The apples were tasteless, and way too thinly sliced. But it wasn't bad. And the fries were pretty good. Okay, so this is turning out to be way longer than anticipated. I wanted to go here, because I have been waiting for one to open in Seattle for like 20 years, so I was quite disappointed at the atmosphere: Too loud, rude employees, loooong wait for drinks at the bar.

Everything good about this place is killed with the influx of CK1, popped collars, and the all-around frat factor. In a city covered in rain the majority of the time, I give it 5-stars for saying 'the hell with it' and providing a rooftop bar. It's a rarity and provides a beautiful view of Pike Place Market and/or a sunset should the weather be nice enough to comply. That being said, the Hard Rock is everything you'd expect. Pricey drinks. Music memorabilia. Over-priced, but safe food options. Upon entrance you get hit by the swank factor in a city where its patrons are likely wearing North Face. There's a small bar next to the host station, and behind it a slew of dining tables. If you go up a flight, there are more tables. Up one more and you get to the roof top bar. I can only imagine the fun that would ensue after enough drinks and those stairs. Still, it has the roof. Just be prepared to peel off the d-bags.

The food was okay, same with the venue. Typical meh. This review is about the drinks. They officially have won my WORST DRINKS IN SEATTLE award. Followed closely by The Garage Bowling Alley. Honestly, I don't think there was any alcohol in my drink. Just burnt pieces of plastic, red dye #2, and the broken dreams of Christmas Past floating over LOTS of ice. I ordered something else and it came out even worse. I felt like draining the oil from my car to rinse my mouth out. Get yourself a beer and then get to a real bar as fast as you can!!!

Haha, I think I lacked enough tatoos or Affliction clothing to get into this place. My girlfriend likes this place because she says they have the best burgers. I ordered a smokehouse chicken salad or something like that. I asked them to hold the dressing and give me some salsa on the side. It's a good way of cutting down fat but still being able to enjoy a salad. The salsa did not come with the meal and I reminded the girl (different from the bartender that took the order) about the salsa. About ten minutes later, the bartender came back and I asked her about the salsa and she went to go get it. She returned, apologized, and said that they made it with the salsa in it. This was not the truth and I'm wondering if they just made that up. On top of that, the service was slow, but I could tell she was trying. Overall the salad was decent even lacking any sort of dressing/salsa. Some cracked pepper would have been nice but I wasn't going to take my chances. Girlfriend said that the burger was as good as always but all it was is a patty and a bun.

This place is not Cocktail, you are not Tom Cruise. Stop throwing around the glasses. I promise, a gin and tonic doesn't need it. This place sucks. I know it's a tourist joint; I went there for a show. The hosts were rude, and the bartenders were so slow. There were 4 bartenders for about 100 people and it took 15 minutes to get a gin and tonic that was 80% ice. I waited 25 minutes for my bloody Mary and when I went back to check on it (the bartender said he'd bring it to me) it had yet to be made. At this point, beer seemed like the best option. That ice-filled well g&t? $9. One bright spot -- one of the bartenders was very attentive and knew what I was talking about when I wanted a St. Germain, vodka and soda (after I left one bartender very confused by my order). Unless missing the artist/band playing there will make you nuts, stay away. Stay far away.

Ate her for the first time on Wednesday after work. People go here to look at all the rock and role memorabilia that they have and they encourage you to walk around and take a look. This works against the place. People are constantly walking by you while you are eating, it was driving me crazy. Another thing that really irradiated me was that they came up to our table to sell us T-shirts. Our waitress brought a little brochure and explained all the different shirts they had. She interrupted our conversation for some self promotion. I don't expect this when I'm paying that much for a meal, heck, I don't expect that ever. The menu was lacking. My girlfriend doesn't eat beef, and this left her with very few options. The burgers that they provide are standard gourmet style burgers, but nothing special, and way over priced. In short, will I go back? NO. Will I tell people to never go? YES.

Ouch! Why such poor reviews? For crying out loud, it's Hard Rock Cafe in Downtown, Seattle... where the tourists go! What do you expect? It's like me going to Cheesecake Factory in Union Square, SF and getting upset that I see tourists. Don't want to go somewhere touristy? Well, you're a local, find somewhere else to go! I sure will avoid places in my area that I know would be touristy. Went here in February and I had a great time. Yes, I was visiting as a tourist, but that's not why I enjoyed my visit. From the moment we stepped foot, the atmosphere was lively and the staff provided exceptional service - just what we needed. Friendly hostess, rockin' bartender, and full of energy server. I had shrimp fajitas, and I inhaled the darn thing... he had the burger and he was beyond satisfied. Our drinks were also tasty. They do have these buttons that you press when you need something, which I think is great, because even though servers do their usual rounds to check in, the button is convenient when you need to ask for that side of ranch or extra blue cheese. I had been to Hard Rock Cafe - Las Vegas & New York... Seattle is my favorite. As we were on a hunt for a dinner spot, we knew we wanted go somewhere loud and alive as we were dead and tired... we stumbled upon Hard Rock... it was like the Food Gods rescued our poor little tourist feet. FINAL ANSWER: Tourist or not, I'm a fan of this place. Great atmosphere that will help you stay alive with good food and drinks. Def'ly recommend.

4 stars for the rooftop patio!!! Ok so I didn't eat anything so I can't tell you about the food, but I really like the rooftop bar. It has a great view of the puget sound, Pike Place market, and of course Pike St. The couches were super comfy and it was nice for groups or for relaxing alone with a book and a nice drink on a sunny day. I was only here during the day, so not sure if they have heat lamps for when it gets cold at night.

The mac and cheese gave me the runs, which is both TMI and everything you really need to know. HOWEVER, I will also inform you that it took half an hour to for waitstaff to take our order, and all in all was a 2 hour meal. Also, the food is Applebees quality but at quite a mark-up. But most importantly, it gave me the runs. Even if you absolutely MUST go get a tshirt/shot glass/key chain to round out your collection DO NOT EAT THE MAC.

Went in for lunch after bombing out looking for some creole food for Fat Tuesday. The dining area had maybe 6 people, I ordered a Ninkasi IPA, with the Hard Rock glass you get to take home, if I would have looked at the food menu first, I would hae walked out, I was considering applying for a job there, but after seeing $10 wing apps, which I ordered, came out to $1 a piece, and $15 burgers, it's no wonder the place is empty. They're food comes from the same place as their competitors, only 30% more expensive, and nothing to rationalize it. Won't be back, just not worth the expense.

I'm giving the Hard Rock a 4 star review for the Happy Hour. Several good ales (Pike Stout, Ninkasi IPA, Mannys) on tap for *under* $3. Several good appetizers for half price, around $5, and they are a meal. The Santa Fe Spring Rolls are great, as are the Chicken Strips buffallo style, Potato Skins are awesome, Wings are decent. Service is sometimes slow, but I personally like to chill and enjoy my drinks and food, and staff is typically friendly and pretty cool. Seating by the window downstairs is great to watch people walk by and patio upstairs is awesome on a sunny day. Ambience is pretty good, lots of TV's and decent music, although I'd like to hear a lot more ROCK and less alternative considering the place is called hard rock. :) Lots of cool pictures and memorabilia, especially grunge era stuff from Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc. Too bad they don't play more of it.... Honestly, haven't really had their food beyond appetizers, it's $15 for a burger and considering I haven't heard great things about their food I couldn't dream of paying that price considering you can get an amazing burger in Seattle for $15 from 8oz or Lunchbox Labratory or Blue Moon or some real burger joint. I think I'd give them 3.5 stars, but that isn't an option. :P

Nothing special at all! You would think Seattle being an amazing music city would have the best Hard Rock... Wrong! The location is pretty and the building looks wonderful. Rooftop is amazing, but you never really get to go up there, and I went and we were only on the first level of the restaurant. Maybe because it was not that busy. The food is EXTREMELY over priced along with the drinks that tasted like no alcohol. The food its self was nothing special considering its nearly $10+ for everything! The service was bad and took super long while the restaurant was not busy really. The music was sooooo loud you had to scream to talk to your friends at the table. I will never go back here :(

I hardly rate places as one star, though while most good ol' American Hard Rock Cafes deliver with a roar, this one was a complete flop. I didn't really mind the 20+ minute wait to receive my food (it was Labor Day weekend, so I expected it to be pretty busy) until they forgot our onion ring appetizers entirely, which pushed the wait time to around 35+ minutes. Unacceptable. After that, they repeatedly forgot our small inquiries into additional sauces and refills of drinks. We were then double charged for said onion rings and an additional burger (that was never ordered), and when I went back to our server to fix it, he removed the mistake (additional 10 minutes) though still charged us full price for the forgotten appetizer. If you want to get what you pay for, go elsewhere. And perhaps needless to say, I won't be returning. Ever.

My 100th review! Yes!!! I was on my way to Pike Place Market (specifically Piroshky Piroshky) and I just noticed that the Hard Rock is so busy. Is it already open?! Happy Hour on Friday night! I want to see the Grand Opening! Is it U2 playing?! I wish... Now I remember, I have to buy tickets... I rushed inside and there are like 10 employees wearing all black (MIB style... sort of... nah just plain black Hard Rock Cafe shirts). The cafe is not yet fully opened - just the Rock Shop. So this review is based on my FIRST IMPRESSION on the establishment (I know, I know...) I was told by the salesperson to come back on February XXth for the "opening" (he mentioned some specific details but I'm the first reviewer here so I'll save those on my UPDATE - that is if I'm going back). The Shop is quite small... but I guess it's just the right size for Seattle. I had the chance to sneak peek inside the "restaurant". Nice, nice, nice. I can already imagine going there with friends (and watch live bands). I saw memorabilias hanging on the ledgestone wall. Lively atmosphere even without patrons (yet - just the employees populating the place). Black wash interior with crisp ambient lighting... whoa! Ofcourse, 5 stars based on my 1st impression.

I wavered between a two and three star review. I'm giving it three, because I suspect that I'm not the intended audience for Hard Rock Cafe. It's not that it's a theme restaurant and a tourist trap--sometimes the kitsch gets me in my soft spot. (I mean, I have a secret and guilty love for San Francisco's Rainforest Cafe location, which is TOTALLY a tourist trap.) But not this time. Sorry, Hard Rock. I can't say as I see the appeal personally, although I'm sure you may be a great destination for other folks. The Boy and I stopped by for a late lunch. We were seated promptly--which was nice, given this was a new location and it's been my experience that when a famous chain arrives somewhere new, all the locals queue up. (Although maybe the fact that they weren't queuing up should have been a sign? *shrug*) I was a little trepidatious, considering the last time I'd been to a Hard Rock--in Salt Lake City, my old home town--the waitress had chatted up a storm with my guy friend and ignored me and my girl friend. Overly chatty waiters are one of my personal pet peeves. Well, our waiter deliver the standard spiel about the Hard Rock, mentioned that it was new, and then noticed my Horde T-shirt, and said, "For the Horde!" and told us he played Warlock. (Okay, so he was a little chatty, but at least he wasn't Alliance, and for that, I will cut him a lot of slack. Actually I decided he was just about right--not too chatty, not too fake-friendly, but at least capable of having a personality.) The service itself was decent. No mistakes on our orders, or anything like that. They got me a water as soon as I requested it. The food is a big fat MEH. It's nothing special. In fact, the menu feels like a glorified Red Robin menu, but a few dollars spendier. I got a sort of Southwestern style eggroll, which came out in a weird goblet shaped dish, and embedded in what looked like dipping sauce. But that's an illusion....there was about one teaspoon of sour cream and a sprinkling of tomatos and a small side of salsa. And beneath that is a bed of iceberg lettuce. Why iceberg lettuce? It's a mystery. The eggrolls were adequate, but I've had better I also ordered a side of white cheese crusted mashed potatos. I should have been MORE excited about this dish, but it was actually pretty meh. A little too salty. The Boy had a honey-mustard grilled chicken sandwich. He says it was really good, but the fries were average. "I had no problem with the food, but everything else was kind of a freak show," sez he. I guess the "freak show" The Boy is referring to is the constant chatter and noise and the forced enthusiasm to get the ENTIRE restaurant to wish perfect strangers happy birthday. This too, is par for the course at themed restaurants like this, and I should bear that in mind when agreeing to eat at a themed restaurant. But it's really annoying when the waitress two feet away yells at the entire restaurant to wish the people opposite Happy Birthday. Ugh. I came to eat, not to humiliate strangers. So, yeah, call me a grinch. Also, I know it's the Hard Rock Cafe, but should you have to shout to talk to your dinner partner? Yeah, I know, I know, but I thought it was about the memorabilia, not turning the music into opposition to rational thought. (That's right, save me a seat in the nursing home. Damn kids! Get off my lawn.) Speaking of the memorabilia, Seattle's Hard Rock Cafe is supposed to be special because the memorabilia actually comes from Seattle groups. I guess that's neat, and it should automatically make it cooler than the Salt Lake City Hard Rock Cafe. After all, if SLC had to rely on their own musical legends, we'd be stuck with pictures of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Anyway, I'm concluding that the Hard Rock Cafe is not the place for me. It is probably a necessary stop for the folks who collect shirts and shot glasses from all the Hard Rock Cafes, but for everyone else? You can probably give it a miss. After all, you are in Seattle. There's a lot of delicious (and dare I say, less spendy) food around. Oh, and I guess the Microsoft Table display thingie is kinda cool, although I didn't see it until we were heading out, so it was kinda wasted on us. Me - 2 stars for food, 2 stars for ambience, 3 stars for waiter that plays World of Warcraft but isn't annoying Average: 2 stars The Boy - 3 stars for the food, 2 stars for ambience. We'll be kind, since this just isn't our type of place, and give it three stars.

Just had the worst burger i've ever had in my life here. My friend ran to the bathroom because he felt sick afterwards. The burger and fries where cold and soggy, yet somehow managed to taste dry and I came in *starving* .. you could have served me up a fresh plate of ass and it would have tasted good. The fact they had the audacity to call it "Legendary" is actually true! It is a legend in the sense that it's the shittiest burger you'll ever pay for in your life, the 15 dollar price tag makes it one of the most expensive.

I went here on a nice sunny day in seattle and I was on the second level and there were not more than 5 people on that level. The bar tenders were horrible usually bartenders are so nice and helpful but these two handed me a menu and told me to figure it out. I had already witness one customer leave because of bad service and that should have been a sign the drinks tasted like water my margarita had no alcohol I believe in it and I was displeased overall with the service I will not recommend this place. I did inform the manager but he offered to pay for more drinks but I had felt like I had wasted enough of my time

Had a Great time! Some friends and I were invited to attend the "Friends and Family" event Monday Feb 8th, we had a good time and the street level dining room was packed! There are 3 floors to explore. 1st floor, full dining, great bar and fully exposed kitchen in the rear. We were fortunate to get seated in the back so we could watch everything in the kitchen also a good vantage point for the rest of the space. (2 of us are foodies and enjoyed watching the flow) GREAT job to the back of the house folks too!!!! Food was nice, great flavor and a nice mix of items on the menu! We were offered a sample menu to eat from on this evening) Our table ate a couple open faced sirloin sandwiches and a couple burgers for entrees, also we consumed the basic nachos for an appetizer! My only comment was the food needed to be served warmer. We completely understand we were there to provide this type of feedback, but I will say we WILL be going back again. The staff is great, very attentive and quick'ish service. We did a couple shots from the bar, and they were tasty... didn't try any of the other drinks... but we will. The 2nd floor continues its rustic feel... the 2nd floor says capacity is approx 477 I believe. Big space, awesome space! It too has its own BIG bar, kitchen, restrooms, performance area and generous seating. The 3rd Floor! Roof top deck, with a GREAT view toward Pike Place Market. The night time view of the Market was great. You will find another bar on the roof, plenty of casual seating and 2 NICE square fire pits, great for killing the chill at night in Seattle! I heard there are more improvements coming to the roof top deck, so I'll be checking them out too! You can also expect A LOT of the local Musical memorabilia on every floor(except roof), plus a nice Retail shop with decent prices! I don't believe they offering parking, we did not inquire. I don't recall seeing any elevators between floors, so I don't know how wheelchair friendly the 2nd and 3rd floors area. (1st floor easy access!)

I sure hope you aren't going here for the food because you will be disappointed. The food is lackluster, standard and plain forgettable. Not to mention expensive. And for some reason they only put one toilet for each gender in this big restaurant. HUGE design flaw!! The atmosphere is great though. I love the digital screens they have at the tables that gives you some entertainment while you wait for your waiter (and it usually takes quite a while) It's neat you can view the history of a few different pieces from the Hard Rock collection. I also enjoyed the music videos.... 1980's Journey in all their glory. It's a good touristy place, right by Pike's. That is if you don't mind spending a lot of money on blah food.

I love the Hard Rock Cafe so my friend and I came in here to have an early dinner! Everyone was very nice which always make a dining experience that much better! We ordered the nachos with chicken and also a bbq bacon cheese burger....both very very good and came out in a timely manner! Whats also great about this place is its pretty much right by Pike Place!

Ummmmm... yeah.... That's about it! 20 bucks for a forgettable burger and paper napkins. The inside is nice. The rooftop area is super cool. But the food is overpriced and unimpressive. Here's the deal: "It's a Hard Rock!" I really have nothing else to say except get in your rental car and drive to End O' Line Joes in West Seattle. I'm beer for you, Kevin

Had a birthday part for a friend here last night. This place is one that I will not go back to again. We showed up about 930, all was well. Walked up to the bar and it took about 4 min to get two or three drinks and go back to the table we were at in the upstairs area. by about 10 the place was getting packed and it was taking about 10 min to get a drink or two. By 11pm it would take about 20-25 min to get a drink no matter what side of the bar you were standing on. It also seemed like the bar tenders were charging whatever they felt like for the drinks. One friend got 5 shots of tequila for 40something dollars and another friend went to get two shots of crown and it was $22. It eventually got to the point where the bar tenders just wouldnt serve hard alcohol anymore. The conversation went something like this with the bartender- Could i get grey goose on the rocks? No we are out. Could i get a shot of jameson? No we are out. What about the full bottle sitting right there? Eff off im not serving you. It was about 80 deg inside and didnt feel like they had any ac or air moving at all. We had a few friends that were on the "guest list" standing outside for 55min waiting to get in and by mid night they were told to leave because security wasnt letting any one else in. Oh and you cant get any food up stairs... just downstairs. I recommend anywhere else to go hang out and have a drink.

The food was good, not amazing. I just don't see all the hype about Hard Rock Cafes. Maybe this one was just off, but it didn't seem especially amazing. The bathroom facilities were clean and nice and the hard rock memorabilia seemed interesting. Seemed a little pricey

They were "understaffed" when we went on Labor Day around 3 pm. Our waiter was nice but not responsive enough. The food was not as good as I was expecting for the price tag. And for a vegetarian like myself, there were only 2 options for me on the menu. A veggie burger (this is what I got, and it was gross) or a ceaser salad. A burger, a sandwich, a beer and a coke was $38.

My rating is for the Food! Not worth the price. McDonald's is better..ouch. Will return for the band venue but stick to a small appetizer. and a $15.00 hamburger should be fresh...

Yes, I must remind myself that this is a tourist spot. Overpriced and fairly blah food. I went last night for a birthday celebration.....$12 buger, $8 drink....pretty blah. The burger and bacon were pretty good. But, can we be real.......frickin' sliced, plastic cheese!! Bummer. I certainly will leave this place for the touists.

I thought this was a nice place. A place where I could go with some buddies or take a date. My eating was limited to appetizers so I can't speculate on the menu really, but most of the apps. tasted good. I'd have to say the sirloin sliders were a bit plain and disappointing. I liked the dim lighting and the upstairs was a cool place for a good show. The staff were attentive and friendly as well. This is a place I could see myself going back to.

Talking about Seattle - we do need Hard Rock Cafe... considering they are every where. I must admit their location is strategic. Located in Downtown makes it easier for all foodies and downtown peeps to go for happy hour or just hang out for the night. Unfortunately, their food was just okay. I wish their happy hour menu has more selection and varieties and not just limited to appetizers. Service was great though!... I don't know I would come back to this place without any particular reason by myself (unless b'day party, celebration, etc)... But, as a local seattleites, I need to support Hard Rock Cafe... and Yes... I love having them in Seattle! :) (I'm contradicting my previous honest comment)... :)

Came here for a snack and drinks with my in-laws. Our waitress was great, very friendly and talkative. The explained how the ESP device is like having a Lindsay Lohan ankle bracelet on, except it is disguised as a watch. It keeps her from straying too far from her tables. Drinks were good, but of course pricey because we had to get the Hard Rock souvenir glasses. We got the Jumbo Combo as an appetizer. All of it was very good, especially the Heavy Metal style Hot Wings. Those were some of the better wings I have had since I have been in Seattle. The Rider on the Storm drink was very good. It is a very dangerous drink because it has a good deal of alcohol in it, but you can't tell. We had 7 drinks, 1 being non-alcoholic, 2 domestic beers in bottles, 2 import drafts and 2 specialty mixed drinks and the appetizer with total bill coming to over $85. Otherwise it was a typical Hard Rock Cafe. It was loud with its usual memorabilia adorning the walls.

Poor service. Screwed up my order TWICE after I was the last one to finally get my meal. Never came and refilled my WATER once, didn't offer to give me a discount for any of my trouble even after everyone was almost done eating and I still didn't have my meal...i ordered a simple chicken burger with no tomatoes or lettuce! How is that so difficult?! And, on top if it all, their bathrooms were a disaster. So dirty and no toilet paper. Never coming back, not impressed at all. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Had a great lunch in the bar w/friends... the service was fast, got my food quick, in enough time to get back to work w/in the hour... Wow... 6 oz mini burger w/cheese... fries, lemonade... ummm yea that was all I had for lunch! lol Cheap good atmosphere wasn't super busy at 4pm... I liked it! Bartender was great!

Server was nice, but he didn't seem like he was very interested in our table (even though we had a party of 12). There were a couple hand-held machine things on our tables and he didn't really explain what they were... hence the description. Drinks came fast enough -- plus. 2 glasses of Newcastle = nearly $12 -- negative. Got the veggie burger -- I've had better for $12. Was it worth the money? Definitely not. And beware, don't drink too much, there are only two individual bathrooms on the first floor (I went in the men's restroom, surprisingly clean but the trash was overflowing). Will I go back? Only if forced.

Just remember Seattlites if you come to the Hard Rock Cafe Seattle repeat this mantra: This is for tourists only. This is for tourists only. This is for tourists only. In fact, you should only come to the Hard Rock Cafe for the live shows in the rather nice upstairs performance area and even then make sure you get liquored up elsewhere beforehand. If you eat or drink here, do so at your own risk because you'll end up paying $14 bucks for a burger and $10 bucks for a cocktail and why do that if you're a local? I mean, really. I visited in support of my friends for the Battle of the Bands (and they won!!!) and I must say what they did with the once porno/video/bookstore space is impressive. We drank $5 Bud Light beers left over from St. Paddy's Day (the aluminum bottles were green with shamrocks) and the clientele consists mainly of baseball cap wearing frat boys playing air guitar along with the performers and their skankily clad girlfriends. Peppered throughout were slightly dazed, out of place, and sometimes overdressed tourists. Not the typical Saturday night crowd I tend to hang with but a fairly good venue for live shows only. Just remember locals. If you come to the Hard Rock Cafe for anything other than a live show repeat this mantra: This is for tourists only. This is for tourists only. This is for tourists only.

Leave this one for the tourists. At the request of a friend, who looooves Hard Rock Cafe and has been to several all over the world, a group of us went there Saturday afternoon. The place was crowded and loud, no problem with that, but the menu was chiefly burgers, sandwiches and bar appetizers. Not a wide selection. I had the red white and blue burger (a cheeseburger with bleu cheese and Frank's Red Hot Sauce) and it was okay, but not $14.00 + okay. Drinks were about twice as expensive as they should have been, too. The staff was friendly and very helpful towards us. All and all, I won't be back. Not my cup of tea, especially at the prices they were charging.

What made my experience so GRAND was our server KEITH! This guy was on it from our water to the simple explanation of the Local Legendary burger that is rubbed with espresso before cooking and the wine! One of the best tasting burgers I have had in a minute. Cool decor a great location for Hard Rock Cafe, roof top bar was a blast! So what was so great about Keith, he got an old bag full of secrets... I dont even think its that much of a secret so I'll break it down for you (sorry Keith, love you man.) 1 A smile in the voice. 2 Caring that his guests have a memorable time. 3 Educate the guests of what is going on from the food to the decor and the band playing upstairs. YES!!! It is truly that simple! Keith you ROCK! Rooftop bar... kinda coo!

I always loved the Hard Rock Cafe! weather its here in Los Angeles or Vegas!! Vegas is the ULTIMATE Hard Rock Cafe of course! The one here was great! I loved how it looked inside and the music is awesome! IF YOU WANNA PARTY COME HERE! They have a live band and bar upstairs Called the Tavern I believe.

Yeah, it's okay. Anywhere you go in the country, all Hard Rock's are typically the same meaning the menu. They might have one or two different items that are original but other that that it's the same but why is it so loud in here. I understand that it is Rock and Roll which I love but I also don't like yelling at people that is sitting 2 feet away and still have to repeat myself a couple of times. I can't read lips so please turn it down 2 notches. The waitress was really cool and fun to have but the front staff is such @$#holes. I think they don't realize that they get paid for customer service. No greeting when I walked in and when I left I told the guys "BYE" and they looked at me like I told them "F OFF" which I did after they didn't say "BYE or THANKS FOR COMING". One last thing. I felt sorry for the ladies that go here. They have a community bathroom so you ladies got to share restrooms with us guys. One restroom, hundreds of people. GROSS and I don't even have to get close to that toilet. Take my advice and walk the stairs to the 3rd floor and use that restroom. Way cleaner.

They don't have prices for cocktails/beers in their menu. I think that is a shady business practice. I don't mind paying $10 for a drink, but intentionally not putting the cost on the menu is distasteful. We left and decided to go to a different bar instead.

Have you been to a Hard Rock Cafe before?? If so...maybe no reason to go to this one? They have some local stuff but honestly...I thought they would have way more memorabilia. I'll give them a pass and try again as half of the restaurant is not open yet...menu was a bit pricey and the food we got was just average but it was just snacks. Service was very nice and quick...plus they have these little things you can beep your server with to have them come back...kinda cool.

The food is pretty bad - TGI McFunster's frozen and reheat sort of items. I was ordering the same drink all night and there was no consistency among the bartending staff. Drinks were not very strong, either. Music was PAINFULLY loud - asked one of the staffers if they could turn it down, his first response was, "What?" When I yelled the request he gave the party line answer, "This is the Hard Rock not the Soft Rock." Note to management: music volume does not compensate for the unimaginative food or the lightweight cocktails. Tip to the bartenders: a Mai Tai shouldn't contain any Grenadine.

Expensive, poor service, and really- how can you mess up a pulled pork sandwich? I will not go again... ever. The host did try to put me and the 13 year olds I took @ a cool table with Nirvana memorabilia but you ultimately are there to eat and that was just terrible. Also I ordered fries for the 3 boys for the wait- and they came after our food was served. Not good.

In my many visits to Pike Place Market, I never thought to make a detour into the Hard Rock Café for a meal. Well, we all learn from our mistakes! We recently brought our in-laws to Seattle for the day. We decided to have a sit-down lunch rather than the usual munch-in-place experience at the market. As we entered the Café, we were greeted warmly and immediately seated at a table with a view of the bustling kitchen. Our server, Keith, made sure we had drinks and menus in hand in no time. I took a few minutes to wander about and look at the city-specific rock memorabilia, including Jimi Hendrix's 1969 Fender Stratocaster guitar. The restaurant's interior speaks to Seattle's harbor heritage, featuring old timberwork common to buildings along 1st and 2nd Avenue. I ordered a Cajun Shrimp & Poached Pear Salad. I loved the contrast between the hot, just-off-the-grill shrimp and the cold, sweet pears. My father-in-law, always looking for food value, was very impressed with his fajitas. He graciously agreed to share his fresh guacamole! My wife had the Goat Cheese Chicken Salad Sandwich, featuring seasoned bacon that integrated the entire dish. I must confess that I was impressed with the breadth of the menu and quality of the food. Portions were very generous but not overbearing. It was fun to watch music videos on multiple displays throughout the restaurant, a guilty pleasure I do not indulge in at home. I discovered that Seattle's Hard Rock Café features a variety of live music in the evenings, ranging from indie bands to acoustic performances. The New Year's Eve performance, Bollygrooves Presents, struck me as particularly inventive. In short, this is a go-to destination less than a block from the heart of the market. If you like music, good food, and local ambiance, head in to the Hard Rock Café.

I went there with some friends. We weren't expecting anything great, but we did want to go see how it differs from the other Hard Rock cafes. So we went and got overpriced food that wasn't even appetizing. They do give you "free" Hard Rock glasses when you buy beverages which cost $9-$10 (non-alcohols). The waiters are friendly and the interior of the cafe is pretty standard Hard Rock style. I didn't get to go to the concert venue upstairs, so can't comment on that. It's one of those places that you only go to once. Hard Rock Cafe is just a brand name to me, but I have to say that they do their branding/marketing well.

I attempted to try out the Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle for the first time ever. My father collected the shirts from all of the different locations in the world. I went on a Friday night after a comedy show, that I left early, to see what The Hard Rock was all about. My friend and I went inside and were seated pretty fast. As we drink the water the waitress gives us and look over the menu for a bit, she comes back to let us know that the kitchen had just closed. It was close to 11. I was so disappointed, I asked how could it have happened? How do you fix this type of situation? She said she would ask the chef and see what they say. So one chef walks up to the table and says he would be willing to fry up some appetizers, I declined. We left. I called two days later to mention the incident to a manager, Jacob, who apologized for the visit and suggested I come back to give them another try. So I did, with My 2 year old son. Our dinner went fine the food was good but the restaurant is overrated. I think all the employees need to be shaken back to life where customer service existed.

so...my personal experience with the hard rock cafe- arrived way too early for an event...the downstairs bar tender informed me of their happy hour...$3 for booze and pints...hot damn. that's half price. during the event i tried some blue champagne thing...it was tasty....for a sweet drink, it wasn't too sweet. i also tried some passion fruit hurricane...also good, but a bit sweet for my taste. the addition of bonnie's opinion to the review- i didn't eat anything off the menu and the samples they had weren't vegan friendly....but my friend(a raving omnivore) said that they had a very good use of spice which she says is usually hard to find at chain restaurants. the service was very nice, quick and attentive.

Went here with my family and some of my kids' friends on a weeknight. It was not crowded, and we were seated right away. The food was pretty good; nothing spectacular and a little pricey. My only real complaint was the fact that our table was right by the kitchen, and the noise from the kitchen coupled with the loud music made it difficult to have much conversation. But...it IS the Hard Rock Cafe, so music is a must! We would go back again, if in the area.

I went here back in June with a friend from Oregon who hadn't experienced a Hard Rock Cafe, after reading some of the previous reviews, I decided that this place was still worth trying. The waiter, Sam, I think was friendly and also gave us a 20% discount, he also discussed music with my friend as we ordered. We went up to the deck which was decent, it was still pretty bright out so I didn't expect a breath taking view. There was only one woman's bathroom and when I went, it was clogged.. I reported the issue and didn't go back ever, we used my the restroom at my friends work which was a few blocks down. Thank You David. The people who were having a party had a blast there yelling and clapping, their brains must be diluted by all the alcohol they've drank to notice the service of this place, of course they cant be proud for having great whiskey, for it's the whiskey company's who made it, not Hard Rock. The food was alright, they didnt tell me that they were going to charge extra for the bacon, all they did was ask me if I wanted some, without the "you're going to be charged extra" tone... The music was decent, it was weird how they played rap... we're Seattle, get it together Hard Rock cafe and play music the Seattle way before slapping our city's name on your overpriced merchandise. The only reason why they stay open is because of their overpriced food and the fact that the tourist come here thinking that Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle might be a great experience as well only to realize that it's NOT, it's better off going to somewhere local to eat than eat here if you're a tourist. I also feel sorry for all the great artists who have donated some of their pieces to a pretty shitty place. =/ oh Nirvana... Over all, I might go here again.... that is if the rating goes up, most likely not to happen considering the fact that it averages out to 2 stars with 100+ reviews. I liked it better when the place was still an old empty deserted building, at least then no one had to suffer. *sigh*

A comedy of errors? By the end of the experience it was hard to imagine there could have been more issues. A Tuesday night yet. My son's Birthday - had made reservations on their PX site. Gal at front said "huh" - no way as system wasn't even up yet. (then how did I get "CX-1208-3160-358613 confirmed via email?). Dinner was waaaaayyyy too long a coming - then told no mash potatoes on my son's meal ( at 6:30 PM???); I was supposed to get a sub of onion rings but the fries came instead ..... and were cold, his steak was way below par although cooked correctly. Then there were the "free" glasses and the tab said "Retail / $9.50. I think these guys can do bettetr. At least my server comped me a sandwich. oh.... the beans were way too salty but the cole slaw was tasty!

Was there the other night with some guests from San Francisco. While the waiter was really nice and funny, the service took longer than it should've given the place wasn't very busy. The prices are a little spendy, but the drinks, especially the sangria were really good! I've been there in the past on the roof and it is a great place to have happy hour with a group of folks. I don't love the Hard Rock nor hate it, so I'll definitely be there again with out of town guests or formal meet-up groups.

  • Charlene E.

This is the worst Hard Rock I've ever been to. The bar tender/waiter was incredibly rude. He came over to our table after 10 minutes of our arrival up on the second floor and without introducing himself he just said "Well... what do you want?!" We placed our drink order and asked for menus which he -never- delivered. Then after about half an hour we were assigned a new waitress who was more kind and very apologetic for the tender's behaviour. The food was alright but nothing to write home about. I took my mom and sister here while they were visiting from out of state but will not be returning. It's Seattle! The options are many and I'd rather spend my money at a place where the servers don't grumble about offering a smile and their name.

ok Hard Rock, since you're still fresh and trying to figure things out, I'm not going to complain too much about the wait except to say that it was long. Really long. The food, ehh. Service, ehh. Decor, Cant expect any less from a Hard Rock Cafe. I will def give it another chance to up my reviews, but I won't be going back anytime soon.

The environment was cool as always but the music was loud. We had a hard time talking to each other. The food was good. Service was nice but slow despite the place being packed with employees. They all look like they love their job though which is always nice to see. Prices are a little high for a basic American Grill. And it may not be the best place for kids due to the noise level. Worth a visit to say you have been there. It nice for Seattle to have this so try to give them business at least once.

I was a little nervous coming here after reading the reviews, but my boyfriend is a burger fan and it was his birthday so I thought I would try it. We went at around 3 pm on a Saturday and we were seated right away (in the front by a pole..but oh well!) and our server was very friendly and funny. My boyfriend and I both ordered burgers, he got the legendary burger and I got the bacon and barbecue, both came with seasoned fries. The only complaint I had was that my bottom bun on my burger was a little too soft as though it had been sitting for a while. I also asked for it well done and it came charred on the outside which gave it a sort of burnt flavor. Overall, the experience was good. All of the burgers on their menu are $14.75 which might be a little overpriced. High energy atmosphere and loud music!

Ok so it's hard rock- expect tourists and a crowd. I came with low expectations and I was on par. On the upside, happy hour goes until 7p. I hear Seattle is the only Hard Rock w happy hour? Anyway. Decent food and drinks before a show at the Showbox. But don't say I didn't warn you- there is only 2 bathroom stalls, one for mena ms one for women. Eeks!!!

On Sunday May 21st a group of us stopped here for dinner. Half of us got food poisoning. The only reason that I am giving them one more star is because the staff was really nice and helpful.... that doesn't make up for the fact that they have either dirty hands or dirty food in the kitchen.

Hard rock totally sucks! Oh, unless you prefer expensive, watery drinks. In a city with bars and venues of character and quality why choose the poor offering of an international chain restaurant? I went for the haiku-chi show and they were fabulous, but unless they play there again...I will never be back.

Appealing interior, expensive menu prices, half-ass service.. I came here for a friend's birthday not too long ago and really had no opinion about this famed Hard Rock Cafe chain until about half into our dinner. My burger was OK, although not worth the price by any measure. Our server..I won't name names, was having a great time, but was not attentive to our large party's needs at all. He seemed to be in his own world - nonchalant about his duties, not prompt at all. It took forever to get a second round of drinks. Wouldn't it make sense to maintain frequent attention to our drink needs since your automatic 18% tip for large parties would have made you quite a bit more in cash in the end? My girlfriend ordered a diet coke towards the end and he just never brought it out at all. Um..OK? Then he says "i didn't charge you for it anyway.." when we asked about it. Great, bro! but that doesn't mean she changed her mind about it. We never ended up getting it. I'm not sure if if was inexperience or that he just didn't care that much. Either way, poor performance. Perhaps I'm being too generous, in this sense, with my review, but I did have a good time. Of course it had nothing to do with the restaurant, or the service.

the service was so-so. not too bad, but i think they don't see many regulars. this is just imho. i don't know how other people think/feel about it, but it seems to be more of a tourist spot. the upstairs bar area was nice though. it would be awesome to see some local bands there. i would go there for repeated visits for that. and the little upstairs deck area was nice too. i can't wait for the summer to really see how it is. might have to take my co-workers there for a happy hour one of these days. although i didn't see if they had a bunch of tables like my other favorite big deck area for happy hours.

Fun place, but service got all messed up and they give themselves a 18% tip even when they sucked up at service. This reason alone they get a 2 star review. Food was actually ok, but too many screw ups and then giving themselves the tip was icing on the cake ... (in the wrong way)

The servers seemed overwhelmed with computer issues and the management were not working just hanging out in a circle and talking amongst their selves oblivious to whats going on around them!! The food was good but overall we felt un welcomed from the staff including the management. Too cool for school..

Food was pretty good and high priced, but that is normal for the Hard Rock. Was a little scarey to see that my grilled chicken salad was 1200 calories! Yikes.... Our waitress was nice and the music was good. Didn't see a whole lot of memoribila though, but it is a smaller Hard Rock. Coudn't afford to eat there all the time, but nice for something special. Go online for a seating reservation, was well worth it as no waiting for us!

This place is bad. The food is bad and extremely overpriced. The wait staff's enthusiasm for the Hard Rock Cafe doesn't really mean they are enthusiastic about providing good service. I know none of this is a surprise. I just thought it needed restating. None of what sucks about the Hard Rock Cafe - Seattle is entertaining. It doesn't even suck so bad that at least later you will be left with an entertaining story to tell your friends. It is just regular old run-of-the-mill suck. Don't let yourself be tricked by thinking "it might be fun. At least it will be sort of funny". It won't be fun or funny. Not even a little.

Wow is all I can say about the new Seattle Hard Rock Cafe! It's grand opening was today and it was packed. Was excited to see so many people enjoying their burgers and the decor. The Hard Rock Cafe has flat screen tv's at the booths around the restaurant and you can help choose the next song that plays. They also have music videos showing, old guitars hanging on the walls, and a huge touch screen with a ton of information. I ate the swiss & mushroom burger with a berry cooler drink. It was phenomenal! I can't wait to go back because the Hard Rock has two more stories and our waitress even said that they will be having live concerts. I'm very excited for Seattle that we now have a Hard Rock Cafe all of our own! A must visit (not just for tourists).

Service was good. The food, on the other hand, needed work. We were a large group, and we ordered from a very limited menu. That was not the problem. One of the menu item clearly states bbq pork with baked beans, fries, and coleslaw. The following is what were actually on the plate: generous amount of pulled pork with maybe a teaspoon of bbq sauce and another teaspoon of shredded cabbage and some fries on the side. I asked for the coleslaw, and the server said that what few sheds that are on the sandwich is it. Huh? He cheerfully offered more if we wanted some. Ok... But why do we even have to ask? Stuff that was on the sandwich is not coleslaw. It's shredded cabbage. After carefully examining the sandwich for some hidden beans, I asked. Again, he said he will be happy to get us some if we wanted it. Wait a minute! why do I have to ask again for something that was clearly on the menu? The beans came out, and it definitely had some potential but couldn't really enjoy them because they were cold. Not even luke warm but cold. After all this I still gave it 2 stars for friendly service and good location and decor (minus the bathroom...kinda messy).

Ughhhhhhh. Every other 1 star review has said everything for me. Avoid, avoid, avoid. My server was awesome though.

Taking this down to 2 stars (for decor and energy). Minus two stars for closing the roof AGAIN and me showing up with 8 friends last night to go up there. Ridiculous. I guess it was too good to be true that this city could have something that fun ever be open.

At here before the rush and it was one of the worst services I had. The waiter was a little obnoxious with the other tables and singing loud with the tv playing videos, and it seemed that he didn't really care about our table because we didn't order drinks. The food was ok, little over priced. mac/cheese/chicken- really not worthy $16. And the burger there was ok, but Red Robin's is better. The decor was good with the memorabilia. The screens at the booth was fun to look at. I wouldn't go back unless I had guests from out of town.

I been to Hard Rocks all over the world and have had good experiences. However, the Seattle location just really sucks! I been there two times and both time were pretty crappy. Slow service and expensive burnt burgers! Also staff is very slow, be sure to order 2 drinks at a time.
