Best Mexican food that I've head in Seattle. I go to the El Camion truck in SLU near my office at least twice a week for lunch. Everything I've had off the menu so far is amazing. If you're looking for a lot of food at a good price, get the burrito...it's like the size of a football and I can't even finish it sometimes. They put plenty of meat in the burritos so I have some with every bite and the avocado salsa awesome. The fish tacos are amazing too.

I'm glad I finally stopped by to check this place out - twice this week! I was in need of a breakfast burrito this past Tuesday and Yelp was there to point me in the right direction! Of their breakfast burrito selections, I went with the huevos con chorizo which was quite tasty! It was massive in size, too (that's what she said - ha!)! That sucker kept me full well into dinner! My second visit happened was yesterday and this it was the adobada burrito. As you already know that I'm all about the pork and this was so flavorful that I am considering going there again TODAY to try something different! Like any popular lunch spots, expect long lines, but your wait won't be that long. They also happen to have indoor seating in the building behind their truck. No restrooms, though, so you may have to do the green apple quickstep back to the office if you are not in tune with your body! I'm definitely glad that this is another close walk from the office! _____ | SWEET! Man, I hope they don't run out of food! |\ | | | O O O O O ____ | - | / | \ /( )\ / | \ / | \ O / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ _________________________

The lines are long during the lunch hours at El Camion's food truck, but once you get your food it's worth the wait. I've only ordered the chicken burritos here and I have no plans on trying anything else because the burritos are pretty dang good. Almost too flavorful (salty), but just what I need when I'm craving Mexican carbs. OH! And glass-bottled Coca-Cola?! Win!

SEASONING this is all it need.. the food was bland I had 2 carne asada tacos, 1 chicken tamal, 1 pork tamal.. all were made perfectly.. the carne asada was moist, as well as the chicken n pork, everything else looked good, but.. need seasoning prices r decent since it is a food truck, u can eat inside the building behind the truck quite a few folks trying 2 eat here, but SEASONING WANTED

After living in San Francisco for 20 years I have high expectations for a burrito. Seattle Mexican has been deeply disappointing. This is the real deal. yum! I recommend adding the grilled veggies.

I've had their tacos and burritos only and I love their burritos. Finding a place to park isn't that great during lunch hours since it's a food truck along the outside of the stadiums. The tacos weren't bad (looked great), but the meats were lacking in flavor. The burritos on the other hand have great flavor. Nice place to check out if you like burritos!

Holy bomb, finally gave this place a try for lunch and was not disappointed. We were in a rush, so called ahead our order and they had it ready in 10 minutes when we arrived. The carnitas burrito was super tender and super flavorful. Bigger than chipotle, and completely on its own level. Only reason this isn't five stars is because the way they have their salsas set up outback is super sketch, they're all exposed to flies and anything else back there. Also, my stomach was no bueno later that night. Hopefully only a one time thing.

Wicked-good Mexican food from a truck! Get to the games early and stop by this truck for a spicy adventure. They make their own unique salsas, too! There's a small, indoor seating area behind the truck. Nothing fancy at all, but the food is goooood! Heads up that the lines here are often long and food turnaround sometimes gets delayed, so give yourself a solid 20-30 minutes to enjoy every delicious bite!

Off the chain! Absolutely love this place! They remembered me after 12 months, loved it! Glad I always give a good tip, they guys deserve it. If you want honest to goodness Mexican grub, this is it! I had mulita and torta, perfect. Come here!

So good. Get the chicken tamales or Arroz con pollo - getting hungry thinking about it!

  • Edgar R.

The carnitas were good...the tripas were not. I had the gorditas...they were good but not what other pictures show...I saw no cheese delivered in a flurry of goodness...SMH! Reading other reviews saying that this place is the best makes me wonder if the reviewer suffered a head injury that rendered their tastebuds inoperable or perhaps they have a condition that is like a colorblindness of the tongue. If you've had Mexican food in the Southwest U.S. you will agree that there is a difference. And what is this infatuation with Black Beans??

High frickin five to this taco cart because they are kickin some foodie ass and taking names. +1 for the fact they have seats inside the building behind them My faves: Fish tacos...seriously, at only a couple bucks a piece, they are fresh and worth every cheap penny. Carne Asada plate...yeah. $8 and it's enough for 2 people. TONS of amazingly seasoned carne asada nicely chopped, black beans, rice, pico, avocado, and a ton of fresh corn tortillas. Delicious. Anything you order at this place you really can't go wrong and it's not only awesome food, but inexpensive to boot! IMHO the best part is the plethora of homemade salsas they have to choose from. Avocado sauce, verde, pico, jalapenos, super hot...there's at least 8 to choose from? All I've tasted are so good! It's worth the wait...yes, they will typically have a decent sized line during lunch hour.

We used this food truck for our daughters wedding and boy oh boy are we glad we did they were quick (no long lines) and the food was delicious! The size of the burritos was gigante! And so were the smiles of our guests! Thanks so much.

I'm still feeling the effects of my food comma from lunch and it's already dinner time. The rest of my afternoon consisted of dozing off at work, driving home, and passing out for 2 hrs. What a glorious nap when you know it was a direct result of a meal well spent. The first time i tried coming here my excitement was cut short after getting stuck in traffic and being turned around because of a Mariners game. This time i walked, work was close than goodness. My friend's question while ordering: "which one's bigger, the burrito or plate?" Both were equally large. I had the plato mexicano and it was so legit! i couldn't even finish all my food. this food truck is a two-person operation so the wait can be a little long when it starts getting crowded, but trust me it's worth the wait. There's seating around the back of the truck. Kinda nice cuz there was a foosball table to keep you entertained haha.

I'm addicted to burritos. Like, seriously. I could probably eat a burrito everyday for the rest of my life.Alldayerrdaaay. Anyways, El Camion boasts a diverse menu with quite a few options for meaters and vegetarians. I always enjoy their fish tacos and burritos. They are packed soHUGE that you probably won't be able to finish it. Their salsas are awesome. So authentic and fresh. Be careful though, the spiciest one is SO spicy it'll make you sweat. I dunked my burrito this one and couldn't finish it due to the heat level. If you're into 10 stars, tongue numbing SPICY, this is for you. Working in SoDo allows me access to this place anytime, which I love! It's pretty awesome they have a good sized indoor area with a foosball fun and picnic tables to enjoy your food. I've been here a few times now and can say that the food is consistent and delicious! One of the better food trucks around.

El Camion represents the street taco scene in Seattle. You show me better taco truck and I'll call you a liar.. I always get a carne Asada burrito and it never fails me. Holy hell It's the size of a brick with plenty of meat inside so you never wonder if your getting short changed. It's large enough for you to share one should you option to share. Also for grab a bag of chips & salsa, the fresh pico is killer.

This may pass for decent Mexican in Seattle, but I grew up in California and I call bulls**t. This is bad food made by people who don't care and just want to make a buck off of the stadium crowds. I recently picked up a burrito from El Camion while head into a Mariner's game. Observation 1: one person taking orders and only one cooking. Though my order came out fairly quick, that seems very thin for the busiest part of the day. Observation 2: only one flavor of salsa available. Lucky it was Verde or this would be zero stars (if that was possible). Tub of pickled veggies contained only decorative whole jalapeños. Observation/severe disappointment 3: NO RICE ON MY BURRITO. If you live in the US west of the Mississippi, rice is standard. Period. The El Camion menu says burritos cone with rice. No one said that they were out of rice. This isn't like leaving off the cilantro - this is like a birthday without cake. I feel straight ripped off. Observation #4: no, the disappointment didn't end with missing rice. I ordered a roasted veggie burrito and the green bell peppers in it were in no way roasted. They were tough, crunchy, nearly raw and had seeds and membranes in them. They make no effort here and literally any other food truck or stadium concession is better.

Great tacos and burritos. Excellent variety of salsas. The service is friendly and the food comes out fast. Great place to stop on your way to Mariners, Seahawks or Sounders.

Must say this is one of the BEST TACO TRUCKS I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!! It is always super packed, even on windy cold days, while all the other trucks have nearly no lines at all - even on game days!! And it is all for good reason too. Not only to they have incentives with there punch cards, but they are decently priced too! The burritos are so big with super fresh deliciousness and packed with so many fresh ingredients! I also LOVE how many hot sauces I get to choose from as well as the friendly staff that know my name now when I show up! I proudly admit that I visit this location 3-4 times a week because I simply can't get enough! I love you El Camion!

I had the carnitas torts and lengua tacos. The tacos were excellente no Complaints about that. How ever the torts was okay be it was the carnitas I don't know. But I def won't get the torts again. The owners were very funny and polite so that was a plus. If you want some quick Mexican food around the stadiums then that is your place.

Good food truck to get some tacos for lunch. I suggest the adobada (marinated pork). I also recommend the habanero hot sauce but be careful with that stuff. Unfortunately like many places in the area it gets quite busy during prime time (12-12:30). So I mostly avoid during those times.

El Camión is my favorite taco truck in Seattle by a long shot. The tamales are absolutely incredible. Steamed in a banana leaf, the masa is firm enough to eat with a fork yet has a perfect creamy texture on the tongue. Chunks of fall apart fatty pork and potatoes make the perfect filling. Topped with your favorite of their 5 amazing styles of salsa, these tamales make the perfect breakfast, lunch, dinner, or midnight snack (Yes, midnight snack buy a couple extra to reheat after your next night of drinking and tell me I am wrong..). The fish tacos are also pretty rocking but I have a sweet spot for the Gorditas. Little cups of hand made tortilla flour filled with your choice of meat and topped with onions, cilantro, cotija cheese, and avocado. What's not too love?

I saw that green lizard chillin' near the door. Sneaky lil thing. I decided to go to the SODO location. The co-workers recommended the carnitas but I chose the Pollo asado Plato Mexicano. It was a long wait. Too many people. While I waited I walked behind the truck and saw the set up of tables in a tiny room. As I was walked out of the room I saw that fake green lizard near the door. It put a smirk on my face. They finally called my number and I grabbed my to-go order. I stepped over the collection of bottle caps on the asphalt. A glass bottle opener is attached to the edge of the truck. The rice and beans were pretty good. I didn't think much of the chicken though. If I go back I'll have to try a beef dish.

I've been here before, but it was years ago. Don't remember what I had. When Barriga Llena wasn't at Century Link though, we decided to head over to El Camion for some dinner before the USMNT match at the Clink. Big ass burritos for less than $7 are always a plus. These one's are full of meat. Seriously SO MUCH MEAT. I ordered the carnitas and my boyfriend had the carne asada, both were good. It was good quality meat. Why only 3 stars? The rest of the burrito was bland, bland, bland. Also, personally, I am not a fan of black beans in my burrito. It would be nice to have an option for pinto beans. Either way, the rice and beans were super bland. Even though the carnitas was good quality and cooked well, it was bland too. We also ordered the chips and salsa. The pico de gallo was bland, and the chips were store bought, and not good. I'd be willing to come back and get tacos, because the meat was fine, and the other fresh salsas were pretty flavorful. The prices are right, and even though it's a food truck, they have a covered seating area behind. Compared to the other Taco truck at Century Link before games, this one is better, but I'd rather get a Torta at Barriga Llena.

i love taco trucks and this is a pretty good one. cheap (around $1.50 a taco) and quick. i like the lingua and the cabeza and just recently discovered the fish tacos. tripas i was not a fan of so much. don't get me wrong, i like tripe but this was my first time eating tripas cooked this way so it's not what i was expecting. burritos are HUGE so come hongray with mad napkins. definitely worth the walk from my office.

I wake up some nights in cold sweats, dreaming of wandering down Mission Street in San Francisco ordering mexican food from every great hole in the wall. Its an insatiable hunger for the real deal, that we were fearful might not exist here in Seattle. If you have dreams of a traditional authentic Mexican soft taco or carne asada plate, California-style, then El Camion is a great option. Its street food served out of a simple black, red and white truck, found in an alley in SODO and normally we find ourselves eating it in our car. Still, the grilled chicken soft tacos are moist, well seasoned, and accompanied by all the salsa, radish, cilantro, limes, and pickled veg that visit you in your dreams. Simple, basic, quality good Mexican food, minus the atmosphere. Still, El Camion definitely hits the spot, and subdues the nightmares. They give good Mexican.

My first experience with El Camión was in Ballard. Every time I've visited the truck on Occidental has been just as good. I won't say that the food tastes particularly fresh, but then again that's not why you go to a food truck. As far as this gringo knows, this is about as authentic as it gets. Quick service with tasty ingredients. Made me want to master making tacos in my own home. Warm corn tortillas with savory and [not too spicy] meat and vegetables. Before I started eating meat, the vegetarian options were plentiful and tasty. Once I started eating meat again, I got into the habit of ordering 3-4 tacos each with different meat. The chorizo tacos are incredible, as are the tacos al pastor (pork). For something a bit richer, go for the Camarones a la diabla. It's enough food to get you stuffed and still have more to enjoy as leftovers. The same family owns a brick & mortar location in Ballard (near Ballard High School), and while it didn't taste as good at the brick & mortar, we went there when they first opened up, and I assume that it had something to do with the kitchen equipment needing to get seasoned (I guess that's what you call it) enough to make it taste the same as the food trucks.

I eat tacos probably twice a week and have been for the past 4 years. I've tried them all. el camion is good because 1. bang for your buck (tacos are 1.45) each and they have 6 diff meat choices 2. quesadilla is HUGEEEEEE and its only like 6.50 3. theyve got amazing flavored salsa that are NOT watered down 4. great service and they are alwayyyyyyyss open 10-8pm in SODO if you havent tried their tacos I recoommend their cochinita pibil (braised pork) it melts in YOUR MOUTH -seriously though, flavor, salso, service, speed and price THIS IS THE SPOT. theyve got like 3 trucks and actual store I believe. DONT THINK TWICE, DO IT NOW!

Simply the greatest tamale I've had yet. Prices are smokin low! (that's a horrible adjective for a low price, but that's how low they are! SMOKIN) Fish burrito! They cooked the fish right in front of me. Took a couple minutes but ALWAYS worth the wait. It's so good my words are broken... can't ... word... I like this place. I will be back.

The Gordita with carne asada was good but the one with pork was mouthwatering and it gave me a food buzz... Eyes watering with tears of joy, soft humming in my ears, and blood pulsing in my veins. I'll be back.

The thought of food trucks brings out the romantic in many of us. "Maybe," we think, "the spontaneity of food from a food truck will be better than at a sit-down cafe!" "It might be fun!" we add, naively. I am starting to think that food truck food is as chancy as sit-down cafe food. Food trucks are starting to kill my foody romantic tendencies. I'm a vegetarian. There, I've said it. I'm a semi-lapsed vegan. There, I've said that, too. I went with two friends whose meaty lunches looked wonderful. I ordered the "veggie" tacos and tamales. "Veggies" appears to mean onions and peppers. Good tortillas, but that was the only part I can honestly praise. The tamale cornmeal mush was watery and filled with a few grilled onions and peppers. I will not return.

Prices were good and food was pretty good. The guy at counter with Manchester United shirt was a dick though. I went on a random slow weekday asked the type of meats they had , he acted liked it I was an idiot for not knowing what they already had and gave me a menu. Corrected my pronunciation of every thing I said. Pretty much mean mugged the entire order process, waiting and receiving for food. Asked for more napkins while eating in there bunker and got all worked up like he was so busy standing at the counter without a line . Should get 4 stars but, I am not returning and I do not wanted to be treated like that from a taco truck again.

I'm bumpin el camion up to 5 because I think it's the best taco shop in Seattle. Everything I've had has been worthy of getting again. I recommend the burritos if you're from SoCal. Great salsas too. This place is solid at the truck or the brick and mortar in Ballard .

I'm very critical of mexican food. I love it and was lucky enough to come from a mexican family where food is our uniting factor so with mexican food I must compare it w/ my families cooking and that of mexico. And I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised about the food here. I'm always nervous when there are a bunch of Americans in line because sometimes taco trucks will make tex-mex style food that just ends up being terrible for latinos. I was happy they had the typical meats you would find in a taco truck, including my favorite, lengua. And the server spoke Spanish, which is always a good sign. The wait was horrible though, There was only 1 cook so I understand that it takes time but I ended up waiting for a total of 35 minutes just for 2 mulitas of lengua. I was surprised how much meat and the type of cheese they used for the mulita. I was happy! The spiciest salsa was great also. It was spicy, like mexican spicy! it was great! I orders 2 but really only could eat 1 because they were so filling! It gets the yessica stamp of approval! buen provecho!

I visit this taco truck whenever I get a chance; before any sports game at Safeco or Centurylink and oftentimes for a quick walk from work for lunch. Their fish tacos are so so good and fresh, filling, and the perfect mix of ingredients. The other meats I have tried and liked but always have to get at least one fish taco. My favorite tacos in the city and super cheap. The burritos are always plentiful and favorites and their breakfast options are a nice change sometimes. I love their fresh salsas and pickled jalapenos. YUM!

  • Sean W.

Simply the best! Meats are all marinated and cooked perfectly. Homemade salas are all outstanding but my favorite is the chipotle. Only place I've ever had cochinita pibil but I don't think it could be done any better. There will be a line if you go from 11:30 - 1:00 it is worth the wait but better if you call ahead or go outside these times.

Did someone say bang for your buck? Because that's what you get at El Camion! Their authentic little cute tacos are under $2 each and their honkin' big burritos are very reasonable. They park the truck in Pioneer Square by the stadium but you can always find their location through their website as well. I was recommended to El Camion by a co-worker who swears by their quesadillas and I can't wait to return to try more of their menu items! The only thing to note that isn't glowing is the wait time can get pretty up there, but this is due to them using fresh ingredients, so I was willing to wait for a great, fresh meal! But if you are in a rush for a quick meal I would maybe opt for somewhere else to go.

Hands down...the BEST Mexican food truck I ever had! Especially in Seattle. Great prices. Decent portions. Their chips and salsa is delish. Fresh horchata. Nom nom fish tacos. :-) My entire office and I became fans after one trip.

IF there was anyway to give more than 5 stars I would. I've been looking for some good latin food here for a while, I really miss it from texas, and one day a buddy invites me out to get tacos at this truck. SO glad I went. I first tried 4 different kinds and came down on the beef cheeks (cabeza) as my fav. just delicious. So far I've also had the mulita, legit, and the tamales which are prepared in a way I'm not the biggest fan - I like the corn meal kind in corn husks, not the banana leaves but that is definitely preference. The icing on the cake is the horchata - I've been trying to find a place that makes it fresh and finally FINALLY got one that makes it as good as my taqueria back home. Already been here many times and will continue to come. holy crap its so good i'm craving it now and i just ate dinner! Also - nice note is that they have seating behind the truck which is nice.

El Camion is a wonderful jewel if you are ever going to a game or just looking for a massive burrito. The salsas are spicy and delicious! Their tacos and burritos are the best items in my opinion. The tamales are decent with me favoring the Mole. I love that they give you lots of food and the price is right. Breakfast burritos are good any time of the day if they taste and look as good as these ones do. They have all the Latin meats as well: steak, chicken, 3 types of pork, Mexican sausage and more. Enjoy one of their fresh Horchatas while you wait for the meal to be prepared fresh. The biggest challenge is that if there is a line, you are going to be waiting. they work as fast as anyone Ive seen, but its never fast enough. I havent tried calling them, but I grabbed a menu just so I could with hope of saving time. South Seattle Phone #: 206-659-0236 Come Hungry, the food is worth it.

More and more El Camion is becoming a staple in my diet. This is a great go-to move for affordable and quality Mexican food. I should branch out and try new things but the fish tacos are so satisfying I can resist. I also drench everything in the avocado salsa!!!

My daughter and I stopped here on our way into Quest field to watch the Sounders play. We got in line at 6:10, with 5 people in front of us. It took a little over 10 minutes to place our order. We were skeptical about how long it was taking to place our order but everyone assured us the food was good, and so we stuck it out. We were not in the mood for the grab and go hotdogs which are plentiful in the area. Once our order was placed, we waited 25 minutes to get our order. So all, told we spent about 40 minutes at this place which I think is ridiculous for a taco truck. This would be acceptable at a sit down establishment but here, there were dozens of people crowded around the end of the truck waiting for their food. There was one person taking orders and two VERY SLOW moving people working on cooking food. The food - My daughter had fish tacos which she said were alright. Nothing over the top special, but good. I had gorditas, which were pretty tasty. Would I wait 40 minutes for this food again? no. Taco trucks are typically meant for good, fresh, fast food at decent prices since you arent paying for ambiance. This food was ok, the prices were ok but the wait was horrible. This is in an area which obviously caters to sports fans on their way into the game(s). Maybe, they should post a sign that warns people standing in line how long the wait is approximately and then those who want to wait have nothing to complain about, as they know ahead of time what they are in for. For the rest of us who want a quick meal to take into the game and not miss the opening ceremonies, walk on by.

This is by far the biggest burrito I have ever had. I thought they were big at Taco Del Mar...well I was wrong. This burrito weighed at least 3 lbs I swear! I was super excited about it because it came with black beans instead of refried. I ordered it with chicken. When I got back to the work lunch room and started nibbling on it, I was disappointed and remember why I never eat at Taco trucks. I am just too picky about my meat. The chicken was dark meat which turned me off. So I didnt even make a dent in it. I took it home and let my bf eat half of it for dinner. I took one bite and nearly gagged because I got a grissly, fat piece that crunched in my mouth!!! Not coming back here sorry to say, or maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.

El Camión has it going on. Tacos are served on pillowy soft tortillas -- seemingly fresh, though not made in the truck. The carnitas taco I had was excellent and paired well with the great tomatillo salsa -- all their salsas are great. The chorizo taco was good, as well. But I had worse luck with carne asada (steak) taco. Their steak is meant to be in something. The carne asada mulita I ordered was freaking amazing; the steak, cheese, and freshly sliced avocado work wonders together. I consider it a must order. The tamale I saved for later was good, too. They wrap their tamales in banana leaves which imparts more interesting flavors than the more common corn husk. I'd give it five stars if they didn't have a few misses along with their hits. But this is a taco truck, and they're going for variety, and I consider it an indispensable stop for an authentic taco experience.

Que Rico! Not only is the food authentic, so are the prices! Holy crap... I can't say enough about El Camion. Their newer location in SODO rules. There's a parking lot, a tent (in case it rains), even a foosball table. Talk about authentic! ha. When I lived in Mexico I played foosball almost everyday in school. Ok - the food!! I ordered tacos de carnitas and de carne asada. They were some of the best I've had in years. No joke! They also had a variety of salsas, radishes, limes, and pickles veggies. I read that they have tamales too. I'll be back ASAP. I can't live long without great Mexican food and in Seattle it's pretty hard to find. In fact, they had horchata... the BEST I've ever EVER had. Typically it's not my favorite drink. I usually order Agua de Jamaica which they'd just run out of... but that's totally fine - at least it's on the menu! Lots of places don't make it at all.

My coworker and I arrived at 11:30 and in a hurry thinking it would be a simple walk-up, order and out we go. Not so much. There was one person at the register and one person cooking which was nowhere near enough staff to service the line. We ended up waiting almost a half hour from the time we got in line to getting our food. Once I got my shrimp diablo and climbed into the car with the bag in my lap- the cook had filled the box so full that all the sauce had spilled out into the plastic bag and was burning my legs. I was worried about it leaking into the car so I had to go back and ask for my order to be re-bagged. About the Shrimp Diablo: WARNING: I love super-spicy food (four stars at thai please!) and this was spicy even to me. So if you can't handle heat, don't order it. I really want to write a better review because the staff was super nice and the burrito my friend ordered was really good- but they need to staff up. People don't go to food trucks for the ambiance.

Great quality Mexican food for a cheap price. Reccomend the street tacos, steak burrito, quesadilla, and Pasole.

Finally a burrito that actually contained meat. I was getting restless ordering burritos from various trucks and restaurants that had very little meat, mostly just rice. Well, El Camion fills it full of meat. I got the Carne Asada and I will say that I thought the flavor of the meat was kind of off, almost had a Pot Roast, Lengua taste and texture to it. Also the way the burrito was rolled you would get a big bite of meat, then a big bite of Pico De Gallo, etc . . . The food was reasonably priced and didn't take long. They also had a good selection of tasty salsas as well. I still haven't found a burrito spot in Seattle that has me hooked, but at least I'm making progress.

Got a simple order wrong... 25 minute wait after I ordered... food wasn't awful but below average, salsas were horrible.

Phew! They moved to Occidental Street by the Stadiums. I thought that they had closed that location because of all the construction on 1st Ave/WS Bridge ramp. I've gone to the new location a couple of times and the food continues to be outstanding. I recommend ordering ahead since there's limited parking.

Ever since coming to Seattle I've missed good Mexican food. In my time in Chicago, there was no shortage of superior Mexican and other hispanic/Latin places to dine at and many times they were superior to even some places I've been in Mexico. I remember a story a latina I met in college who grew up in one of those neighborhoods where she said her boyfriend at the time, who was white, saw they stocked up and used the whipping cream containers and re-used them. He figured out they re-used tem because they're tupperware essentially. So he bought them a bunch of them and they got upset, thinking he assumed they were poor LOL. Ahh the memories. Oh wait right I'm writing a review of this place, not my college escapades. Lo siento por favor (forgive me if that's wrong, it's been five years since I've spoken decent Spanish). Right, so this place has awesome food period. I can't think of a single thing they serve that is bad. They carry Mexican coke, which ironically is much healthier for you as junk food goes, compared to American coke, because American coke has processed corn sugar, and Mexican coke has the real deal. So yeah. Mexico 1, America 0 when it comes to coke. The salsas have a unique ability to be mixed together and you can create your own tastes, which I thought was pretty darn cool. My wife got the burrito, and it easily filled her up, all 5'4" 110 petite lb of her. Enough for lunch AND dinner for her, which made her happy. The guacamole mixed with the beef and rice perfectly, and the other spices in there tied everything together into a semi-sweet yet beefy yet semi-spicy taste that was quite unique. I didn't give it 5 stars because let's face it - it's a food truck. No seating. Slow service (could be good depending on how you look at it, they give two about the food). And since they moved between the stadiums, OMG no parking! I seriously think that whole area just has abandoned cars. But don't let any of that stop you from venturing there, even if you do have to park illegally / get lucky.

Awesome!!!! I normally do not like Mexican food. But this place is so good! I don't remember what it's called but my favorite is the one with the corn tortillas. It's the only item that has corn tortillas. I definitely recommend this place and that item.

Oh my god I am a blimp right now. I ordered a Fish taco & Adobada taco + a Carne Asada burrito. Ate all but half of the burrito(they're right about the kids size being enough, thats for sure). All in all this place surprised me, not too often that I like most of the meats that are offered. Everything tasted great and that salsa were fantastic.

YUM! The food here is totally delicious! I keep getting the fish plato mexicano and want to try other things but cannot due to my obsession with this dish! My friend and I split it when we go because it is quite large and one could easily enjoy every bite to end up feeling grossly full. What a problem to have! I love coming here and even the outdoor atmosphere is nice - especially for sodo! The tables are clean and there are nice people chowing down on this awesome food. Salsas are also delish!

What a great place this is! This is not your ordinary Taco Truck, it is (hopefully) a permanent fixture in the neighborhood. Unbelievable food that tastes so fresh and so good. It feels like you have been invited to someone's home to enjoy their cooking in their back yard-Foose Ball table included. I had the Plato Mexicano with chicken: sides included- black beans and rice, freshly made salsa, lime, cilantro and a wedge of avocado. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and I hear there are deals later in the evening. The place is very clean and the seating area is decorated with just the right amount of whimsy (I could not resist.... how often do you get to use the word "whimsy"?) This is a welcomed addition to the SoDo neighborhood where choices can be limited for thoes of us who work down here. I'll be back for breakfast!

OK, my second visit to El Camion and it's growing on me even more. I got a free tamale from a Twitter promotion too! I tried some tacos (asada, carnitas and chorizo) and they had a nice heap of meat in them. My chicken verde tamale was great but my chicken mole tamale was a little overwhelming mole sauce-wise. Maybe a more subtle mole is just my thing... I tried some of their various kinds of salsa this time and they were all great. The chipotle sauce was nice and smokey. I can't stress enough how a variety of good salsas is important to the tasting experience ;)

I don't think I can eat anywhere else for lunch again. I just had the fish gorditas (and a veggie taco for good measure), and I'm sure I'll dream about them as I slowly fall into a food coma for the rest of the afternoon. The fish was perfectly fried, the gorditas soft, that light green mystery salsa delightful. The veggie taco was good as well, but it didn't have the same panache as the gorditas. It's still an excellent option for vegetarians though. And as someone that was laughed at once when I asked whether or not a taco truck could make me a veggie taco, I very much appreciate this.

I just had little nibbles from my bf's plate. The cabeza (beef cheek)! Very tender and tasty. The tamales are huge and packed with flavor for only$2.50. I will be back soon for a plate of my own ;)

I don't want to tell you about this place... no, really... I don't. Because, I don't want it to get any busier but that's just selfish so... here goes: This is the best taco truck I've ever eaten at. Hands down. I've been to a lot of them, this one wins. They have the best fish taco I've ever eaten and the truck (trailer) is incredibly clean to boot!

I got the fish tacos based off Yelp reviews and wasn't disappointed. A good fish taco is hard to beat but tough to make, but El Camion pulled through. The wifey got a mulita that she thought was too cheesy. I had a couple bites, and it was a nice change of pace from the fish tacos but it probably did have too much cheese. You must try the horchata. It's like sweet almond milk or something. I don't know, it just tastes amazing. This place is also mad cheap and right near the stadiums.

I'm a fan of the lunch trucks that look like they were hobbled together with spare parts and ready to rove some apocalyptic wasteland, so when people started doing the whole 'gourmet' truck thing I was skeptical. Would it retain great food for cheap prices like the trucks I was used to, or would I start paying a premium for the fancy, space age truck that would make Sean Penn jealous (He used to live an airstream but it burned down.)? El Camion keeps the tradition with really great food without any 'gourmet' markup. Burritos are around $6.50, tacos about $1.50 with a great 5 for $5 deal at night, and many other options. Watching them make burritos is pretty impressive, each one is made to order and wrapped with care. The salsa options are great as well from simple tomatillo to spicy habanero to their different take on guacamole. Fun thing to do: eat the spicy pickled peppers when waiting for your food and freak out the folks in line. They're not that spicy when pickled but most folks don't know that. It's a knee slapper!

My first time there, thoroughly reading over the menu... the guy behind me says, "get the fish tacos". So the fish tacos are what I get (+ one carne asada taco). Great fish tacos (with a spicy creamy sauce), a wide variety of salsas and sauces, fresh flavors and ingredients, crispy grilled tortillas (so they don't get soggy), good prices, and there's seating in back. Perfect lunch spot. note: I may avoid the carne asada plate my friend had just because the cut of the meat is so thick, but the carne tacos weren't bad.

Delicious, authentic mexican tacos and tamales. I had a chicken tamale, steamed in banana leaves making the masa like pudding, delicious! I also had a carne taco, just like real mexican tacos, with a little radish, cilantro and onion. The sauces were all really good too, the green ones were my favorite.

Loved it! Best taco truck burrito I have had in Seattle so far. The tortilla was perfectly browned and had a slight crisp that I really liked, and the meat was tasty also. I liked that they threw some cilantro in there for an extra kick The truck was a little hard to find as it's nestled in betwen two buildings on the East side of first a few blocks south of Home Depot. If you're approaching from the North make sure you slow down or you'll be pulling a U-turn in traffic. They were a little slow, but was there in the middle of lunch rush and they had a lot of called in orders - something to think about if you have time to call ahead. And they do take credit cards!

This has got to be the cleanest and snazziest taco truck I've ever been to. My boyfriend and I got a chicken burrito, pork gorditas, carne asada tacos, chicken tamale and a fish taco. The burrito was huge and super juicy; the gorditas were fluffy and really tasty with some good grease on the bottom; carne asada was very flavorful and the fish taco fixins were yummy. The tamale was just eh. It's tucked in to a little parking lot next door to Rejuvenation and is kind of hard to see if you are whizzing by First Ave. I hope they do well there and I will definitely be back.

Tasty Mexican fare served in a cute little food truck setting! The black and red truck is quite stylish, and decorated with fun touches like a surfboard used for signage. A canopy provides shade for a few tables clad in brightly-colored oilcloth, with a foosball table on hand to occupy guests waiting for their plates. The distraction isn't such a bad idea, as El Camion is not the quickest for preparation, particularly when a small crowd gathers. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. I sampled a fish taco, full of fresh cabbage, radish, salsa, and very lightly battered fish. A nice, light snack. The "mulito" was my second choice, and it proved to be a tortilla "sandwich" with carne asada (my meat of choice), cheese, avocado, and cilantro pressed between two tortilla rounds. I suggest using one of the complimentary sauces from the salsa bar to spice things up a little! The winner of the visit was my friend's insanely delicious Breakfast Burrito (served all day) with scrambled eggs, black beans, and some darn tasty chorizo. We both agreed that the sausage was out of this world, though there was a LOT of it! It was delish, but a little more balance with the other ingredients would have been okay. The burritos are gigantic, and one could easily be shared as a meal between two people of average appetite. With so many tasty places in Seattle, and so many food trucks I have yet to check out, it may be a while before I get back to El Camion...but it's certainly a great spot and I recommend checking it out!

Came back today for lunch since my mother is visiting and I had to take her here to try it - FANTASTIC!! We had the pibil gorditas and also verde chicken tamale, mole chicken tamale and carnitas taco. This was a lot of food for two people. I took a bite of my tamale, pillowy maiz goodness, and wrapped it up to take home for another meal. The gorditas are really so delicious I can't explain my love for them. My mother enjoyed her carnitas taco and with the gorditas she was sharing with me couldn't finish all of her tamale. I heart El Camion!

This is the best taco truck I've ever been to. They are located across from the CLink Events Center near Safeco Field. The mulitas are excellent (I like them with carne asada), as are the fish tacos. The biggest downside, and the only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars, is that you should be prepared to wait awhile for your food - usually it is just the cashier and the cook there. The wait can be especially long with the long lines of people during the lunch hour. But the food is totally worth it - fresh and the prices are reasonable too.

Kick but tacos, and super salsa. Holy Mole you've got to try this place. This has to be My new favorite Mexican place in Seattle, real authintic, better than real good. Not only is it amazing it's cheap too, 3 tacos less than $5. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a good taco, and a little Foosball (in the tent). Love the Salmon Tacos.... mouth begins to water... Mole Tamales, amazing.

  • Tim D.

The food was pretty good, but the wait was very long at lunchtime. I'd suggest getting there early. It took over a half hour to get our food, at that was from when we ordered. The line we waited in to order took a while too. I had a Carne Asada Taco, a Carnita Taco, a Chicken Mole tamale, and a side of the beans and rice. It was all pretty decent, though it had a lot more cilantro than I tend to like on things. This is definitely an example of Cal-Mex in my opinion. I'm more into Tex-Mex myself. It was tasty, but I don't think I'll be going out of my way to come here again. I'd be more inclined if it were closer to my office. It's still much better Mexican food than any of the places downtown.

I've had El Camion at other locations before and it is decent, but by no means does this place ever deserve the amount of stars other people give it. There are way better burritos and tacos that you can get in Seattle. I am giving ONE star to the SODO location because they are not equiped enough to inhabit the food cart zone near the stadiums. Went here before Paul McCartney concert and waited OVER AN HOUR for a burrito. When my order came up, they were missing one of the items. They have no concept of how to work a line and wouldn't release food out of order of the numbers that people took. Therefore, tacos and burritos were sitting for over 30 minutes at a time getting cold because the number 94 does not come before the number 89, EVER. When I asked for my other burrito that was ordered, it took him all of about 30 seconds to whip it together for me. Why then must we wait an hour and a half? Very sucky.

Nice, new taco trailor in SODO. Got a tamale (yuck, didn't like at all), horchata (to sweet but flavorful) and 3 tacos. Unfortunately, I didn't get the correct order of tacos, they offered to remake but I didn't have time. The tacos I got were good (not great). Will update next time I go back and get the right order!

Ever since I had the fish tacos at Surfin Taco in Westerly RI the bar has been set. I've eaten at the "top rated" NYC taco joints/trucks in NYC and nothings come close until today. El Camión is now my default lunch time spot when visiting the home office.

I have a big problem after buying my lunch at El Camion. Am I a nice enough person to save half the Mole Tamale for my husband? I'd like to be that sort of a selfless person... so I will try to pretend it's all gone already and focus on the absolutely yummy Posole. This is a find! Muy Bueno!

Best taco truck around. Great fish tacos, the Plato Mexicano can feed two. Both chicken & beef are excellent. Go early - there will be a line!!

I think so far, one of the best Mexican food I've ever had. I have tried big chain restaurants (not Taco Bell) and this one would come up on top. I always get the Carne Asada Burrito and always satisfied. Several reasons why I did not give it 5 stars. The price is a little too high. I would understand if it was in an actual restaurant, but it's not. The salsa would tend to be old and left outside for while. Lastly, it's takes awhile to get your food, the good thing about that is it's made fresh and taste great. Till I find a better burrito, this is #1 on my list.

I was expecting much more from el Camion because they served good taco at the Mobile Chowdown but when we get to try the food from this location (on 1st Ave S) - it was a different story. We got there around 6pm on a weekday - the girl was out of everything - no beef cheek, tounge, pork, nor salsa! we were really really dissapointed (I mean who runs out salsa?!!) but anyways, we still orderd up 4 tacos. We are the first of three group of customers that night but we still waited for a while to get our food. when we finally got it, the tacos were just warm and the filling doesn't taste good at all... not to mention - while we chow down the taco there was a huge rat run out from the back of the truck through the parking lot!!! Not only it scared the hell of me, it made me question the cleaness of this place - No more appetite after that. Don't think I'll ever visit this location again.

Their food deserves 5 stars relative to the food choices in SODO, however their lack of lettuce & and any method of me trying to make my lunch healthier knocks them down a wee bit. The burritos are insanely giant, like heavier than Chipotle's. The quesadillas are also super thick & big. The tortillas they use are as big as a pizza, and they actually use a giant pizza baking pan to hold the tortilla when loading it up for burritos because a sheet of foil just won't do. The black beans are yummy though sometimes rather greasy which is strange for beans, the rice is really yummy though sometimes very heavy on the chicken broth taste which is bad for a vegetarian desperate for good food in sodo, and the grilled vegetables are very well grilled so they have a very mild taste. Warning to vegetarians - the rice is not vegetarian & I'm having some doubts as to whether the beans are. Sometimes the meat taste is mild, & sometimes it's like a smack in the mouth. I've sadly had to give them up. I've had the veggie tacos, the veggie quesadilla, the veggie tamale, and the veggie burrito on different occasions. The quesadilla is the ultimate hangover cure - I've watched them make it and there are at least 3 entire cups of cheese that go onto the giant tortilla plus their tasty pico plus yummy vegetables. The burrito is ridiculously thick and makes me go into food coma if I eat the whole thing. The veggie tacos are very light if that is what you're looking for - you'll need at least 3 or 4 to make a meal. The only disapointing food I've had from here are the veggie tamales - the masa dough is slimy & overall it was really flavorless. I especially like the avocado creme salsa you can serve yourself.

Really loved El Camion. Had the pleasure of trying them at the Mobile Chowdown 3 a while back. The long was crazy long. By the time we got up to the window they were out of Mexican Coke. Oh well. We tried the chicken tamale and the steak quesadilla. The tamale was not all that. Too bready and kinda dry. But the quesadilla was muy delicioso! And muy grande as well! I'd have that again in a heartbeat. But would love to try some of the other delisious dishes too. Complimentary cauces rocked, BTW. The spicier the better for me :)

  • Jason T.

I choose to pretend that the gorditas are not 25% lard. I order them "veggie." For $5 I'm not going to ask questions that might shatter any illusions I might harbor that anything here is actually vegetarian, because, for the moment, I don't really care. I just care that my gorditas rock. And that they offer a plentiful supply of large pickled chilies. End of story.

The SODO location is a half block from my bank branch. Suddenly I need to take more trips to the bank. On my first visit, out of curiosity more than hunger, I tried two carnitas tacos. At $1.40 each, the price is certainly right. The fresh corn tortillas held a nice portion of tender pork, topped with fresh pico de gallo and cilantro. The carnitas were tasty if a tad dry, but the range of fresh salsas more than made up for that. I tried a thin avocado and a green tomatillo salsa, both excellent. No wads of cheddar cheese or sour cream here, just fresh, flavorful bites. I found an excuse to make a bank deposit again today, and this time I came hungry. I tried the gorditas with cochinita pibil, a fish taco, and a traditional agua fresca, horchata. The three gorditas came on thick fried tortillas with cojita and avocado. The cochinita was fantastic, tender chunks of pork swimming in a spicy red achiote sauce. The fish taco featured grilled (not deep fried) white fish surrounded by shredded cabbage, crema, pico de gallo, and cilantro. I like just about any fish taco, but this one took me back to my first one on Mission Beach in San Diego twenty years ago. The horchata was refreshing, silky, with flavors of vanilla and almond. There's a trend factor in recommending a lunch truck these days, but this place delivers the goods. The value and quality is excellent. It's easy to access and comfortable. I will be back, and soon, to try the tamales, plato mole, and camerones el diablo.

This is it. Taco Truck supreme. Excellent tacos, nice staff, great salsas. I guess it is Seattle: They even have recycling... I understand that they have a location on N Aurora? Maybe the one in the Arco station around 100th?

The lot despite what other people say is actually pretty nice for the neighborhood it's in. Yes, it is gravel but clean. There is even parking for customers! I'm slowly becoming a fan of food "trucks/trailers". I've been to a few and this one is NICE. I had a Fish Taco, Chicken Taco, and Pork Tamale. ALL three were good. Fresh ingredients, plenty of flavor, lot's of salsas to choose from to put on your food. We did go during the busy lunch time and it did take a bit for us to get our food but there were also 10 people in front of us and plenty of people lining up behind us. The food I got was MORE than enough to fill one up. I could have done with just two of the items above. I'm currently working not far from here and will make this a regular spot to go.

Me and my girlfriend (Juarez native) moved to Seattle from El Paso and there was just one thing we missed. That would be great authentic Mexican food. Thanks to El Camión, that void has been deliciously filled. Before all the violence broke out, I'd regularly cross the border to Juarez to enjoy the great Mexican cuisine at places like Crisostomo, Barrigas, and Maria Chuchena. Being separated by nearly 2000 miles and dangerous drug cartels, El Camión has served to breach the gap between my belly and my tasty burritos. Tonight, I enjoyed a burrito with carne asada while my girlfriend had gorditas con tripas. We both agreed that my burrito was amazing, as she said so were her gorditas. However, I was not feeling adventurous enough tonight to taste her tripas. Looking forward to going back to try their, moles, salas, and tamales.

Super authentic real McCoy! We've been missing our taco trucks from the bay area since moving here 8 years ago. We r so stoked to have found El Camion. Mole is awesome, tacos are sublime, burritos are perfect. And thy have lengua!!! Huaraches, real Tortas...OMG!

This is a taco truck in it's pure form. Nothing too fancy, just great tacos at reasonable prices. I love the fish tacos, even though it's not deep fried fish - my typical favorite. I've tried most of the tacos and none have disappointed. There is a good variety of hot sauces and salsas and they're all pretty good quality. It's a great pre-game meal before going into the stadium. I've also taken it into a Mariner's game and savored my fish tacos as I watched some batting practice. It doesn't get much better than that.

The plato mole is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I crave it now. Worth a visit in and of itself. Love the spicy gorditas, too, and Camión's homemade tortillas--they put the ones you can buy in the average grocery store to shame. ¡Muchísimas gracias, El Camión! Muy rico todo.

Finally a taco place in Seattle that I like. Found this randomly as I was doing some kitchen supply shopping down here one day. Walked by the parking lot and was pleasantly surprised to see a taco truck. They have a tent setup so you can eat on site without getting rained on. The tacos were all good but especially the carnitas. That day they were serving pozole (my favorite) but it wasn't the best. Overall a solid place to get some good, cheap Mexican food.

The huevos con verduras burrito is the worst best idea ever! It is the best idea because it is really good, really filling, and really worth the money. It is the worst of all best ideas because after being totally satisfied you will 1) be disappointed in other breakfast burritos making it impossible for you to eat them elsewhere and 2) because you will want to take a nap and not be able to go to work. If you like living dangerously and deliciously, than by all means have one of these, maybe even two. You won't be disappointed.

Okay, I must preface this by saying their food (especially the gorditos) was pretty darn good when I was there. I'm giving it a two stars due to the fact that they blatantly charged us 25% more than the advertised prices. When I asked the woman about it, she just told me the menu prices were wrong. I sorta got the feeling that we were getting the "gringo" price. I would have happily paid the extra for the food, but feel it should be advertised as such. I went to the location on Aurora once. They were very friendly and mole chicken would have been awesome had it not been so undercooked! They did offer to make me a knew one though, so they get a better score in my book than the sodo local.

I've tried to eat here 4 times. Each time was during the operating hours listed on their website and each time they've been closed. The last time we wised up and called before we went. But, despite being advertised as open on their website our call was answered by a rude woman who was very condescending in telling us that they were closed. I heard good things, but i guess they didn't actually want me to eat there. A loss for all involved, no doubt.

HEADS UP ON ACTUAL HOURS AT THIS LOCATION... This place is great BUT the hours are NOT correctly published on the website. They're currently only open until 7PM but I contacted the owner and he said that they will be staying open later starting July 1st. In the meantime, if you're hankering for some supremely authentic and good Mexican food, make sure to get there before 7.

Tacos are amazing, all kinds (chicken, beef, fish). The fish burrito is huge and will definitely make you full. Tastes fresh and feels healthy, since it's got a veg. slaw and the fish isn't battered and fried.

Kind of seedy location in a gravel parking lot on first avenue (ladies, unless you're adept at walking through gravel in heels, beware). Despite its location, you'll want to check it out if you're looking for fresh, authentic mexican and know the good stuff from the fake stuff. I recommend the fish tacos with everything on them- also, they have mexican cokes if you need a pick me up. It takes a while for the food to come out - today I waited for twenty minutes but, to be fair, the guys in front of me ordered enough food for what looked like an entire office so I can't really blame them. My tacos were worth the wait, anyway!

Run, don't walk, to El Camion. The food is so, so good. At a food festival once I waited over 45 minutes to order and eat. That's how long the line was and that's how dedicated people are to eating their food.

I'm a fan of generous portions but the chicken burrito I just ate at El Camion was beyond humongous. I didn't read other reviews so I'm not sure if I'm alone in this opinion, but the flavor of the chicken reminded me of KFC mashed potatoes. It's that spicy, peppery flavor. They're also very liberal with the cilantro. I don't mind it, but if you're part of the 40% that think it tastes like dirt, you may want to request it not be in your food. El Camion is definitely classier than the average taco truck. It's spotless, has a nice assortment of salsas and clean picnic tables for dining in. Next time I'll get some tacos since the burrito was clearly way too much food.

Love, love, love this taco truck. The workers are super friendly and the food is amazing. They have great sauces and a variety of meats. If I ever get married I would like this truck to be there.

I can't comment on the authenticity of the food here since I've never had the "real thing" but I still really liked the food. We shared a fish taco, Mexican sandwich, and a steak burrito. The sandwich was huge!! It wasn't my favorite burrito, but still really really good. Fish taco was good, too. We'll have to get one for each next time. Definitely going back to try more. And very importantly, their "hot" sauce is actually hot... imagine that!

The best Mexican food I have had in Seattle and, just as important, it's a clean taco truck which can be hard to find. I would compare this Mexican to La Carta de Oaxaca. You can't go wrong with any of the items, but I strongly recommend the mole. You won't be disappointed.

My new favorite lunch spot! Just down the street, I kept hearing about this place. Now that I have tried it I am hooked. The customer service isn't spectacular, but not horrible.....it's a busy lunch spot though, so I am sure speed is kind of a priority over friendliness.

Try the soft tacos. They are awesome. Also try the tamales. Actually try the whole menu. Your taste buds will thank you. GREAT menu and very clean establishment. It's well worth the trip!!!! And if you don't go that's all the faster I'll be getting my food!!

The food is absolutely delicious and very fresh. They lose one star for execution: they have a very broad menu but many items are not actually available. We've run into a streak of "no's" lately, wanting to try their pollo encebollado and other treats. Their mole is very good, however, and their carnita burrito is not to be missed. I've also had the breakfast burrito with carne asada and can tell you that the popping flavors and fresh salsas make this the best taco bus by far.

My sister and I were in the neighborhood and decided to finally try this place out that gets so many raves. There was only one other person ahead of us and I think they were about to close but it still took them awhile to pull a tamale out of a steamer and make some tortas. Thats fine but it was the wrong tamale and here is the kicker. We watched the girl use the same latex gloves to take our money, pick up the floor mat to shake it off outside for the night, get something for the grill and then she handled our food with the same gloves- she pulled the aluminum wrapped tamale (which was very bland AND the wrong one) out of the steamer, then handled the plate my sisters tortas were on (tortas were still yummy) and THEN gave us plastic fork and knife and handled the eating end with dirty gloves. I used the hand sanitizer to clean my fork off but still couldn't eat my tamale until I got home and cooked it until I was pretty sure it wasn't a health risk. Normally my stomach can handle anything but my immunity is down right now and I don't think I would risk coming back here again. Bummer, it looks so clean from the outside.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
