Maybe it's my fault I didn't dine in, but man was the food not enjoyable at all. I ordered delivery of chicken pad see ewe and chicken soup (without coconut milk) online. The online ordering system works flawlessly...you pay as you order, tip included. They give you an estimated wait time that is very accurate. But the food...well. Why does pad see ewe have potatoes and chickpeas in it? That was really, really strange to me. Also, the noodles were clearly not cooked correctly. I've never made this dish myself, but when you have 5-10 flat noodles stuck perfectly together to make one big brick, and there are nothing but these "bricks" in the entire dish, I think something is wrong. Not to mention, the food was pretty salty and the egg pieces were literally disintegrated. The soup, on the other hand, was pretty good. They put generous chunks of chicken in, and lots of veggies. But again with the potatoes and chickpeas. Can we just get rid of those, seriously?

Ordered delivery from them - the phad see ew was tasty, eventhough I was a little surprised to see chickpeas and potatoes in it... the fried rice was good also! The woman who delivered the food was extremely chipper and friendly. I would recommend ordering delivery from Eddie's Pan Asian Cuisine if you're feeling lazy and want tasty food!

...yuck. The panang curry was *very* watery (not creamy at ALL), and the pad Thai was very bland (it seemed to only be seasoned with garlic and oil). It seems like they chop veggies in the morning, mix them all up, and them throw them in everything. Both the curry and pad Thai had: cabbage, carrots, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, and a few potatoes. A very odd medley for both dishes. All in all a pretty negative experience.

Ordered panang curry chicken and eddies brown rice, my girlfriend got some plate with wide stir fried noodles. Mine was decent but hers wasnt even edible it was like mush. Going to Savatdee next time

Eddie's Pan Asian is NOT traditional Asian food - and it is delicious. Expect the flavors to be riffs on Thai, Chinese, etc. The menu is geared to provide you with a balance of fresh veggies and poached protein options without reliance on heavy oils and other less desirable ingredients. When I ate their very fresh food it tasted like they take pride in their food preparation and really care about the well-being of their customers. The service was very good and the place is super clean.

I've lived a few blocks away from Eddie's for almost two years now and never thought to give it a try until a few days ago. Silly, really, since it's one of the best Thai places in the neighborhood. We went for an early dinner on a Monday night, enjoy complimentary tea, friendly (and shy) service, and really good food. The wok fried garlic and basil chicken was delicious and the veggie/noodley dish that my friend had was good as well. The complimentary dessert banana is pretty wonderful as well. The restaurant is simple and well functioning and the food is great. I will return soon.

I always order delivery (via eat24hours.com ) from Eddie's, so I've never been to the restaurant. I love that they specify what's gluten free on their menu. Food is ok, but not that good. I always get the non-oil pad thai and a curry. I thought the green curry lacked curry until I tried the beef panang curry here! It's as if the curry was just a sauce to be added as an afterthought. I've also had the roasted marinated lamb and wasn't impressed. For some reason, all their meat in every dish I've tried is tough and overcooked. While delivery is fast and convenient (also one of the nicest delivery girls ever!) since it's so close, I think I'll stick to ordering from other Thai places with better food.

After a championship (soccer) game, I was starving (we did win by the way). I was in serious need of food driving down on Aurora Ave. Eddie's had a beautiful (to my starving self) "Open" sign, so my boyfriend and I walked in. Almost immediately, we ordered phad khi mao with tofu and tofu and buttery fried eggplant (I am a eggplant fiend, remember??). I personally prefer bigger chunks of tofu, but they cubed tofu for the phad khi mao (Love fat rice noodles!!). The tofu and eggplant dish was pretty interesting as it had 2 rounds of deep-fried eggplant and 3 big squares of tofu with sweet and tangy tamarind sauce. I think we finished the food as soon as we laid our eyes on it, which surprised the owner and drew him out of the kitchen. He gave us a free dessert with sliced banana, chocolate syrup, and chopped nuts, which also was devoured right away. The lady working at the time we showed up was SUPER nice, and everyone at the restaurant was extremely appreciative that we stopped by for dinner. Thank you, Eddie's!

Eddie cooks food to perfect taste & texture. His sauces are very good, though not overpowering, and he doesn't drown the food in them. His waitresses are very nice without being intrusive. The entire staff is attentive, responsive, and personable. i enjoy conversing with all, though i enjoy the food a little more. i appreciate the food here much more than i do at ANY chain restaurant, and more than restaurants where i have paid three times as much! This is a quality experience, not just dinner. i had a birthday party here with 22 friends, and we were served great food well! i love to enjoy an intimate dinner with someone special, also.

Worst Thai food ever. I will never order from here again. If you are planning to order from this place definitely stay away from any of the seafood including the crab wontons.

  • Mrknowso T.

This place is terrible!!! I tried to cancel my order 3 times and they insisted to bring it. As soon as my food was delivered the smell made me sick to my stomach and I threw up instantly. I decided to give it a try and something was not right about the seafood. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and the mix seafood plate with wontons and nothing was good about my order. I would advise to everybody reading this to not ever order here for Thai food. I Donny care how long the owner has been in business this food is disgusting. He even wouldn't give me a refund back for this order as well. He told me to order again and he'll do 50% off lol nvr getting my money again!!!!

A meal should always be an experience and ours was memorable. We ordered phad thai (a bit untraditional with unexpected toppings and ingredients) but still very tasteful. The presentation was high quality and made the eating experience much more enjoyable. Eddie stopped by and asked if we were pleased with the food. The food here is truly one of a kind. If you want generic fast prepared thai food this probably is not the place for you. But if you're tastebuds desire something deliciously new try Eddies.

Ordered the ragoons, chicken satay, fried rice and pad Thai... All were either over cooked or very bland. The women who delivered it also told me that I need to tip at least 15% next time. Um yeah, pretty sure that a tip is a privilege and not a requirement.

  • Nelson H.

Maybe it's because I didn't dine in, or maybe it's because I was expecting something way different... Either way, this place was NOT four stars. The delivery I ordered was no good. Crab wontons - my guilty non-Thai dish pleasure. More crunch than actual filling. The filling was probably the size of a nickel, and as thick as four stacked nickels. Tom yum soup w/ shrimp - I doubted myself when the lady on the phone asked if I wanted to add coconut milk - I coulda sworn tom yum had no coconut milk... but I just went with it. My mistake. It completely overwhelmed any other flavor in the soup. That + celery in the soup was just not good. Phad See Eww - the noodles were very 'wet' and drenched in sauce. Potatoes + celery + chickpeas + large chicken chunks = whack. There really wasn't much flavor outside of the taste of salt. Green Curry - bland in flavor, consistent w/ the phad see eww in having potatoes + celery + chickpeas, which again, is whack. At least the chicken was cut thinner. Last time I make the mistake of looking at just the star rating of restaurants without reading through user reviews. But seriously... 4 stars??

  • Ashelia B.

The food is terrible. I'm not sure how there are such high reviews, but my food came soggy and bland--the crispy chicken was soggy and raw, the veggies salty and soaked in broth. It was generally completely inedible minus the appetizer, which was probably 3 1/2 star quality and tasty. The delivery driver was a chick and she was super nice, but that's literally the only plus this restaurant had going for it. When I called to get a refund--something I've done less than three times in my entire life--they made me explain at length and then told me I just ordered wrong, offering more food for free rather than a refund. They seemed nice but pushy, and kept wanting me to try another dish which I'd appreciate if I wasn't so turned off by the initial dishes that I really just wanted my money back. I probably wouldn't be writing a negative review if they'd just given me a refund without making me explain, then justifying endlessly how their food was actually good. This place genuinely seemed like it would have been at home on Kitchen Nightmare's for preparation and ingredients. The noodles were paste: bland, lumpy, no shape, and certainly no type of noodle dish I've ever ordered before. It just was a confused menu with bad food.

    (1)
  • brandee S.

I am so confused. The food did not exactly suck, it was just the weirdest "Thai" food I've ever had. 1. Phad Thai had potatoes, broccoli, chick-peas, and carrots. It also contained some rice noodles and some kind of kind of sweet clear sauce..... 2. My small order of "brown rice" (and by small I mean tiny), had black beans in it. 3. The chicken-spinach with creamy dressing (catalina dressing) salad had the same strange mixture of odd veggies as the Phad Thai. If I had never had thai food before, I might have liked it better. This was not Thai food. Delivery was fast, I just wish it would have been Thai food like I ordered.

  • Kit K.

If you're jonesing for "typical" Thai, this is probably not the place you want to try tonight, as they do like to add all sorts of veggies to a lot of their dishes (which, to me, sounds like a plus..). That said, it is REALLY delicious and unique food. I've ordered a couple of different dishes here so far; pad see ew with tofu and a garlic chicken dish, both supplemented with brown rice. The pad see ew was not as flavorful as I'd like (I ordered that one to go and I think you have to specify if you want them to add any kind of spiciness to it) but it was still good and the tofu was cooked perfectly. I am not a vegetarian, though my boyfriend is and I often order tofu dishes so we can share. The sad thing is, a lot of places have no idea how to cook tofu! Eddie's is not one of those places =) If you're vegetarian, they have a separate, large tofu menu with lots of tasty-sounding options. The garlic chicken, however, was REALLY flavorful and all-around delicious. Bf got pad thai and seemed to like it. This time we ordered in and they brought us a cute, complimentary appetizer beforehand and dessert after. Service was very friendly. I'll definitely order from them - whether to-go or dine in - again!

My favorite restaurant, hands down! Eddie's food is unique and delish - try the tamarind beef/ your welcome.

  • Bryce J.

The pad thai and pad kee mao were on the verge of disgusting. They were bland, had random vegetables (e.g. potatoes, tomatoes, zucchini), and just overall terrible. I am definitely never going back to this place.

  • Tarah M.

If it was just the food that I were rating, unfortunately, this place would receive 1 star. However, because Eddie's went out of their way to not only deliver to my house which was probably out of their delivery zone, but also apologized profusely when they could not locate my house, I just had to add the extra star for padding. The poor lady who delivered my food could not find my house, despite giving her specific directions on where I was located. When finally finding her after 10 min. of playing hide and go seek while chatting with her on the phone on where we can find each other, she apologized over and over about not being familiar with my area. She was so sincere I had to give her a good tip just for her efforts. Little did I know how much I wished I would have taken some of that tip back after trying the food... I have never been as disappointed in ordering Thai food as I was this night. After a bad day, I simply wanted my pad see ew and chicken fried rice. What I got was EWWWW. Let me begin with the fried rice which was drenched in oil. If I can put a fork-full of fried rice in my mouth, pucker up my lips and kiss a napkin while leaving a translucent lipstick mark as residue, there's too much grease goin' on. They also put pineapple and tomatoes in the rice which is usual for Thai cuisine, but these fruits had gone WAY bad. It was like they had used month-old produce in their meal because the pineapple and tomatoes wasn't just sour, it was spoiled. Totally a turn-off. My pad see ew wasn't any better. My wide noodles were stuck together and complete mush. Also, the grease didn't lighten up in this dish either. As where other Thai restaurants focus more on spice to flavor their dishes, this place focused on fat to carry their meals, and I did not enjoy. Vegetables were decent, but it couldn't save the rest of the dish which was just plain awful. Chicken was rubbery and there was no spice to be found, despite requesting 3 stars. Customer service aside, Eddie's just left me feeling disappointed, disgusted, and dissatisfied.

Errrrrgh. Today to my good fortune I found out that I live close to a Thai food restaurant! Unfortunately, this is the Thai food restaurant. I went in and placed an order to go the other day because yeah. The atmosphere looked creepy, glad I opted not to stay. So the minute I get home, I tear open the box, and even before I had stuck my fork in it, I knew I made a mistake. Not only did this stuff taste bland but it SMELLED bland! The other Phad Thai reviewers were dead on. I wasn't even asked how spicey I wanted it. There was no spice, no flavor. Just ketchup, oil, sugar, and four to five chili flakes. I could've made better Phad Thai from a box with MSGsonings. The noodles were chopped into short pieces and were soggy (rice noodles are supposed to have a small bite to them). I had to eat this dish with a spoon, people! This is embarrassing. Phad Thai should come COMPLIMENTARY with a small side of rice. Not at Eddie's. I ordered my own side of brown rice and it came mixed with canned black beans.... (????). The waitress/hostess was very sweet and I was given a warm cup of tea while I waited to take my faux food to-go during a stormy evening but never received free rice chips or free dessert like other reviewers stated. Instead I paid almost twenty dollars for stuff I had to throw away. Oh hello frozen pizza.

I stumbled upon this restaurant as I was getting my car fixed next door - what a pleasant surprise. Surpringly nice place given the location ;-) I like supporting local businesses and Eddie's is no exception. The atmosphere / decor of the restaurant is very very nice. Service was great. The server was extremely attentive, super nice, and I love the free items on the house. Dinner started off with free shrimp chips - yum. The server very kindly told me that these were on the house and to let her know if I wanted more. When I finished my last chip, she was by my table I swear not more than 2 second later asking if I wanted a refill =) I ordered some noodles (not pad see ew, but similar) and they were quite tasty. Not too greasy, flavorful - I wasn't blown away but it was very good. This was followed by complementary banana + chocolate syrup for dessert. I left very happy =)

Do not order online via Yelp. I waited 1.5 hours for my order. Everytime I called the restaurant, they said it is on its way and it will be 15 mins. Bad customer service overall. I will never order from here again.

    (1)
  • Kendra B.

Awesome customer service and super fast with my take-out order, but it was the *worst* Phad Thai I have ever had. I couldn't even finish it. It was soggy and had almost no flavor. There was a potato (?!) in it! Not sure how the rest of the food is, but don't waste your money on the Phad Thai!

    (2)
  • Andrew P.

Delivery was super fast and prices very reasonable. We ordered the Pad Thai (ok and the reason I am only giving them three stars, it just wasn't that flavorful), beef curry (excellent and would rate this dish 4 stars on it's own), fried spring rolls (good), chicken satay (ok), and soup.

Holy cats, this is *not* the caliber of restaurant I expect to find along dear decrepit Aurora. Eddie's is just fantastic -- very fresh and very flavorful, with nicely balanced taste profiles and some nifty variations on traditional themes. I especially like what he's doing with some of the old standbys; a rich but lively phad khi mao, a beautifully prepared seafood with chili paste and basil, even a little tweaking on the inevitable satay. I'm always happy seeing fresh seasonal vegetables incorporated into dishes, since that tells me the chef isn't just phoning it in, and I was not disappointed -- a little potato here, a little zucchini there, gave the dishes some pleasing autumn notes. Service was charming and super-quick and the restaurant itself is cute as a button -- as was the signed complimentary dessert the kitchen sent to the table. (Yes, the dessert was signed. Too hard to explain. Go see for yourself.) We'll definitely be back!

  • lara s.

Food was okay, but three things bugged me: 1) got 3 satay skewers instead of the promised 4 2) both our dishes had chickpeas (??) in it, and his had chunks of celery, suggesting someone trying to "bulk up" the dish with cheap ingredients. The carrots also were cut in a way to suggest they were almost past their prime and could be salvaged if you cut 50% of the surface off. 3) We were brought complimentary rice crackers in dipping sauce (okay, but nothing special) before and a sliced banana with chocolate after the meal (both he and I hate bananas, so this was just a waste of food). I'd have rather had my dish made well without chickpeas than have two extra things I didn't order, especially if one is something I can't eat. Not sure why everyone else loves this place so much. Maybe we were on an off night?

Went to this place for the first time and was blown away! Doesn't seem like from the outside, but once inside, you will be happy you stopped by. To start we were brought a very interesting complimentary appetizer. Some sort of fried shrimp skin, or something :) There were four of us and we all ordered a different entree along with a couple appetizers. All of what we ordered was delicious. Hands down the best thai in the city. So fresh and use of high quality ingredients. To end, we had a salad and chocolate covered banana--again complimentary! If it were just great food, I might stop at 4 stars. But what really knocks this place out of the park is the service. The most welcome inviting staff. Including Eddie himself, who made an appearance at our table and chatted with us. Such a character! People, you need to go here! We must support these types of establishments and keep them in business!

Quick delivery ordered through the Yelp app. Food was a mixed bag. Basil chicken had no taste and no heat, was given a cup of sriracha but no fresh chilies at all. Weird veggies, like half a potato and garbanzo beans? Also had giant flavorless chunks of chicken that tasted like it was boiled and then tossed in top of the dish rather than stir fried with the rest of the ingredients. Green curry was good, but same weird veggies. Brown rice had black beans in it?!

(Review for a Monday night delivery- twice in 3 weeks) Uhh.....okay. How can someone live in an area that is notorious for having bad Asian food and miss Eddie's Pan Asian for 26 years? Eddie's says since 1989 and I'm floored knowing I've somehow managed to miss this place for the 15 years I've lived in the Greenwood area. You can browse through my reviews to see my disdain for most of the Asian restaurants in the Greenwood/Broadview area. Most have high marks for karaoke ambiance rather than enticing cuisine, and IMHO, a high percentage of them borderline on inedible. In the last month, we've stumbled upon 2 places that have really knocked our taste buds out of the ballpark, one of them being Eddie's Pan Asian; what we would learn to be a classic neighborhood favorite. 5-star disclaimer: Is Eddie's a cornerstone for cutting edge, culinary genius? Yeah, probably not. But is it representative of what I think a great neighborhood, Mom-n-Pop, asian restaurant should be ? Yup. I can only think of one or two other that ranks as high in this area. How does Eddie's win my 5-star approval after just a few deliveries? 1) Flavors. From the delicious coconut-citrus dressing they toss their house salads in, to the crisp, flaky texture of their wontons. You can tell Eddie's sauces and preparations are house-made and with care and uniqueness. Something so many neighborhood asian restaurants get lazy about. How many times have you had asian entrees with the same ol' gloppy canned sauces on them? How many times have you been to an asian restaurant and you can tell it's just a display of food-service distributors' specials of the week? 2) Preparation. All the dishes we've had so far were amazingly prepared. Sauces were rich and delicious and bright and tangy. Veggies were fresh and crisp. Meats were tender and melt-in-your-mouth; chicken in my pad kee mao was unbelievably tender for a dish where noodles are the base. 3) Price. Wow. Nothing more than what you would pay anywhere else around here. $8-$12 entrees. $4-8 apps. Super reasonable and downright cheap for the quality! 4) Consistency/presentation. We've ordered 4 identical dishes for our last 2 delivery and they were insanely identical in their picture-esque presentation. What asian restaurant in this area delivers food that looks this good in the boxes? Bright colors of fresh veggies! Nice little tomato, orange and basil garnishes with entrees and apps! 5) Friendliness and promptness. We were just pleasantly surprised. We've had so many surly delivery people; it was just so nice to have warm, pleasant people to deal with. Both of our last deliveries were timed by Eat24 (after we placed online order) and both showed up in record time. They both were on Monday though, so I can imagine weekends might be a stretch!) To sum it up, we've now found our "go-to" for asian cuisine in the area. When you find a good thing, why deviate? We still have not made it in, but judging from the photos on Yelp and their website and the occasional glimpse in from Aurora, the place looks cozy and clean! Do yourself a favor and check out Eddie's soon if you haven't. I'm really a fan of their Pad Khi Mao and Panang Curry Chicken and wholeheartedly recommend them both. Oh yeah....why is everyone freaking out about the little red potato garnish? I think it's kind of a unique idea and get a kick out of it. Just another unique aspect of Eddie's experience!

I love stumbling onto a GREAT restaurant and today it was Eddie's Pan Asian (Thai) on Aurora. I was stuck in traffic and noticed it in a not so great storefront. Looked interesting, so went inside and it was very attractive, clean & air conditioned! The menu is unique with mostly signature dishes & their tag line is 'spicy but not hot'. I usually roll my eyes at tag lines, but theirs is absolutely true. Eddies food was spicy without the burn! I had the calamari, crispy chicken & signature salad & each was unlike anything I've ever tasted. It is the best, most unique Thai food I've had in years.

The pad thai and crispy chicken is sooo amazing!! Delivery through eat24 is super efficient too if you live close by. The delivery driver always has a big smile on her face. Always super fresh. Quality ingredients. If you haven't eaten here, do it! :)

Delivery is on the quicker side. Ive only ordered from the Tofu menu. Its a healthier version of Thai, and I love Thai. Not greasy and things you wouldn't expect like chick peas, black beans, and potatoes have been in some dishes. You usually get a complimentary side salad that defaults with chicken and I put a note that says, * no chicken please* and they have always gotten it correct and Ive never ended up with chicken on my salad. Dont be put off by it being 'healthy thai', its good!

Went there for take out on a Tuesday night at 8pm. I was worried it would be the left over heated up scraps, but that was not the case at all. The woman at the counter was very patient with us and answered our many suggestions very patiently. Our food came in ten minutes flat. Both my boyfriend and I ordered something with chicken and veggies as well as the special brown rice. All of it was amazing! The rice with the beans and spices was original and tasty. My crispy chicken was flavorful with thin breading and large chunks of chicken. It came with large chunks of chick peas, potatoes, broccoli, carrots, onions, red and green peppers, and I would imagine some more awesomeness I am forgetting. It was like a rainbow in my mouth. My portion size was perfect for one person. Boyfriend enjoyed his dish too all though he said he would have liked more. I don't know if that says something about the portion size being small or my boyfriend's tummy being large.... I personally enjoy that the food does not come very spiced, but that they provide a side of the spicy sauce to use at your dismay. Really comes in handy when you are sharing! Ask for extra sauce though as the cups provided are somewhat small. And to top it off, we were pleasantly surprised when we had an "On the House" box with Eddie's Caesar Salad in it. The "dressing" or flavor on that thing was spot on. I will certainly be back to Eddie's. If you haven't been- you are missing out!

I'm staying in Greenlakes for a wedding, and wanted some Asian take out. Eddies fit the bill, with a great variety of Asian fusion dishes. I ordered from the "low fat" menu, getting the basil chicken and a side of brown rice. I am eating it right now, and it's so flavorful and well made I had to post about it. I think this place is awesome, wish I had Asian food like this in Boise. Okay, back to dinner!

This is not good pad Thai. I don't trust a Thai place that doesn't do a decent pad Thai. That being said, cream cheese wontons were okay and delivery was fast with a low 20 minimum through eat247.com . I don't think I'll order from here agin, despite proximity.

4 stars, because of location. Food is really good, very tasty, everything was to its expectation. Eddie is super friendly, the server, Faith was nice and helpful. Food came so fast, the atmosphere inside was very welcoming. I love the red curry, my readers should really come and try this place. Don't mind the location, focus on the food and friendly service! #food #foodporn #loveit #love #delicious #yummy #awesomeness #relaxing #goodcompany

REALLY good Asian food - cooked with care and talent by friendly Chef Eddie, and served with grace and genuine kindness and concern by the waitperson. Stopped in for lunch while waiting for a kayak rack to be installed on my car and was blown away by the quality of the meal (tofu pad see ew) and the price - WOW! What a deal! Less than $12 for lunch, including a very nice pot of freshly brewed green tea. Highly recommended if you're in the neighborhood and hungry!

Not your traditional Thai flavors, but very good. Lots of vegetables and great flavors. We had the green curry, phad thai, and fried rice- all were enjoyable and worth the modest prices (for two people this is enough for dinner two nights). Plus the staff is super friendly, always a plus in my book!

I've had take out and recently ate inside. It's kind of a funky place. Customer service is a bit off, but otherwise it's great. The interior is really nice (even through it's right on Aurora). The veggies were really crispy. The garlic sauce was strong and very garlicky. They don't do spicy, so you'll have to get chili so spice up your food. The base flavor is very good though, so that works out pretty well. They have a special brown rice blend with beans and spices that's really good instead of white rice. If you like brown rice, definitely give it a try.

It was really good--way better than I thought it would be. There are untraditional ingredients in a lot of the dishes, but, unlike a lot of the other reviewers, I think that's great. The pad thai was lighter than it is at most places, but more also complex and full of flavor. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and yes, there were potatoes and chickpeas in the dish, but it tasted excellent. The red curry was good too, and came with lots of vegetables. The portions were spot-on: not huge, but not small either. I love how Eddie has added unexpected ingredients to each dish, but if you don't like surprises, this place may not be for you.

This place gets an extra star just cuz I feel so super bad about what happened. So I got home from work and wanted tasty cheap eats, delivered right to my face. The pickings were slim that late at night (like 9pm), so enter Eddie's--- by and far the best place delivering whose food isn't served on a circular piece of flat bread. For exactly $20 before tax and tip I got spring rolls (DELICIOUS; my favorite part), chicken sate skewers (little soggy, peanut sauce a bit bland), some steamed rice (also delicious), and their version of Tom Kha Gai (chicken lemongrass coconut soup). They threw in a free Thai style ceasar side salad because I was paying cash. I've never had a Tom Kha Gai with peanut sauce in it, or that many veggies (is usually tomato, mushroom, and maybe baby corn, whereas this had carrot, broccoli, sprout, RED BELL PEPPER [?!?!?] and various other things) but--- it was extremely tasty peanut coconut lemongrass soup, even if it isn't Tom Kha. The chicken was pretty meh and dry, but like I said. It was cheap and it WAS interesting, and good, and it certainly didn't make me sick. Now, here's why I feel so bad: I am impressively, horribly bad at math. I had $27 in my pocket (a ten, three fives, and two ones) as tips from work. I knew the total would be between $20 and $22 (it was something like $22.50) and full planned to give her $4-$5 as a tip. But when the time came, I went full stupid mode and handed her the ten, a five, and the two ones. $17. I got back downstairs and dropped the food off, realizing I was wrong. So I run out into the street in my socks going WAIT, WAIT! And I catch her before she leaves (she was very nice, but clearly needs to count the cash she's handed) and explain I gave her the wrong amount. "Why?" "Check it, I only gave you $17." (She checks) "Oh!" So... I hand her another $5, she says THANK YOU! And drives off. As I walk back in with my pebbly socks I realize that still only equals $22, so she got short changed $.50 on the bill itself and didn't even get the tip I meant for her... even after all that DRAMA! Woe is me. I was too embarassed to call and explain myself, and I hope she didn't get in trouble and/or her boss and her didn't sit there cursing my name for cheap skating them. Next time I order (probably spring rolls and something totally different, since everything else was definitely just three star food) I am going to tip them double. Or triple! Ugh. I STILL feel bad!

Ordered the shrimp pad thai and mixed seafood entree, both for takeout. Pad Thai had a thin texture and unexpected veggies thrown in such as potatoes and garbanzo beans. Normally I enjoy those things but not in a pad thai. Mixed seafood was filled with shrimp, salmon, mussels, and squid. The flavor of the sauce was overpowering though. I doubt I'd go back.

This little place feels like a secret oasis amidst the aurora ickiness. Great food, service and air conditioning on a hot day. They have fresh flowers on each table too which is a nice touch. I love their phad thai from the lite menu. Love all the extra veggies! My husband loves the sweet and sour chicken(not fried, not too sweet). The food came out in less than 5 minutes! Eddie is so nice too. He came out after cooking to give us a mint and the check.

Eddie's was a surprising find during a recent trek on Aurora. My wife and I decided to drop in and give this place a try and we left with more pros than cons about it. I think this place has a good atmosphere and does a good enough job of helping you to forget that you are just off Aurora. When I went, we were the only customers, so I can't speak of how well the wait staff works when things get busy, though our waitress was very kind. The prices are average for Thai, but they throw in a complimentary rice cracker and sauce appetizer, which is nice. I did not receive a free banana dessert as mentioned in previous reviews though, which is a shame since I love me some bananas. Anyway, the quality of the food was OK but nothing special. They did pad out their dishes with chunky vegetables, but I didn't feel ripped off since I love veggies and the meat portions were still acceptable. All in all, I would only try Eddie's again for the cheaper lunch menu. If you are really looking for some Thai and happen to be in the area, give it a shot for lunch.

Absolutely the best Thai I've ever had. Try it!

I highly reccoment dining in. It seems that they do a lot of take out business here so when they do get dine in customers, you get the special treatment. We were given an extra order of spring rolls and a tasty chocolate drizzled banana at no charge! The food was quite good but was not quite what I was used to from traditional Thai restrauants. Eddie has his own way of making things a little different such as the use of potatoes in many dishes and including black beans in the brown rice. Some may see that as a bad thing since they "know what they want" and get upset if it's anything but. That said, I will still be more than happy to return for another visit.

What is it about this location?!!! There have been no less than three Thai restaurants in this same storefront in the last couple of years and all of them have been above average or great. Fortunately, the current incarnation is the best ever: Eddie's is amazing. It's unusual for me to lay on the five stars for one meal, but for this meal everything we had was fantastic. The fried tofu was perfect: golden on the outside, creamy custard in the center, and the peanut sauce we opted for on the side was spot on. The tofu with cashews and veggies was laced with just enough chili paste to brighten things up but not enough to mow down the pungent favors, and we really loved it. They offer brown rice too, the good short grain variety. According to the owner (who pulled up a chair at one point) not only does he not use MSG, but he doesn't even use commercially produced fish sauce or chicken stock for sauteing, lending every dish a "clean" preparation. We noticed that everything was really well prepared even without asking but it's nice to know that the food you're eating is made with care. Until further notice, this is the only Thai place worth spending your money at in the Greenlake / Greenwood / Aurora corridor, and maybe one of the few really great family-style Thai joints in the city.

The shrimp red curry is super delicious. The shrimp were big and fresh and there was a good variety of veggies. Eddie also knows how not to overcook them, which is a problem I have with most Asian restaurants. would only recommend that they give larger portions of the free shrimp chip/peanut sauce appetizer.

There are a lot of places to eat Thai food in Seattle, but Eddie's is a gem and I'm always so pleased with the service...and the delicious tea! I recently called Eddie's to order take out and got a voice mail message. Assuming I had dialed incorrectly, I checked online and before I could call back my phone rang. It was a lovely lady calling to apologize that she had just missed picking up the phone when I called. Then asked what she could do for me. Wow. That is some fine customer service!

We were in the mood for a nice dinner, but it was a Friday, it was pouring outside, and we were too wiped to cook anything or go anywhere. I found Eddie's through Eat24 (no delivery fee!), and checked them out on Yelp to decide what to get. The website estimated them take 45 mins, so we broke out some snacks in the meantime. But they were at the door in 10! Now, as for the food.. Based on other Yelp reviews, I got the cashew chicken, panang beef curry, and spring rolls. Mmmmmm... Everything exceeded my expectations. Eddie's, you now have two very pleased return customers!

Email review from my neighbor: Mark, Megan and I were very pleasantly surprised the other night when we followed Justin's (our UPS driver) advice to go to Eddie's at 7821 Aurora. Justin had raved about it being the best Thai cuisine (and he brought me a sample for lunch of their buttery fried Halibut with Tamarind sauce. It was delicious! So, off we went for dinner that evening. Really and truly this Thai food is better than the run of the mill. All of the veggies are fresh and not overcooked. The food is wonderfully flavored and the owners are really nice and very charming people (he's quite the character). We shared Lemon Grass soup, Mark had the Halibut, I had the Pad Thai and Megan had sautéed shrimp. But, it was a hard choice, since the menu is quite extensive. All of our choices were wonderful and the flavors were amazing! They had an award winning restaurant on Mercer Island and for some reason moved it to this tiny location on Aurora. And, we would love to see them succeed here! Don't let the location scare you. It is worth visiting. There is a parking lot behind the building as well as street parking on 79th. It is located on the west side of Aurora on the corner of North 79th, facing Stupid Prices. It is also very nicely decorated inside and very reasonably priced. You can check out their accolades by Zagat, newspapers etc. We have a gem in our neighborhood! eddies1989panasianrestau…

Pad kee mao lunch is amazing and very inexpensive 7.25!! I usually don't like wide rice noodles but theirs are great...and to top it off banana chocolate dessert! Very friendly service.I'm so glad they opened in my neighborhood

Thought we we're going to Thai River cuisine, which has either closed or else we couldn't find it. Stumbled into Eddie's which apparently has some history as a Thai place in Bellevue. We ordered a curry and a phad thai and it was the healthiest Thai food I've ever had. The veggies were crisp, everything was light and really solid. I don't know how often I'll say to myself "Gee I want healthy Thai food today" but if I ever do, this is where I'll go.

I love this place! I have been a good handful of times and every time I call in with my to-go order, they recognize my voice and remember what I order. The food is great every time. They also carry Airfield wines, which is difficult to find at restaurants. If you haven't tried this place, TRY IT!

Eddie's is beautifully decorated and feels like a Thai Grandma's condo. The food is nothing to complain about but also nothing to get excited about. The speed at which the food arrives is way too fast, you have to wonder whether it was microwaved. I love the shrimp rice crackers, though the banana w/ chocolate sauce leaves something to be desired. Girlfriend got the chicken lemongrass soup and I got the red chicken curry, basically the same dish flavor-wise but different consistencies. Portions are a bit too small. The waitresses are nice, happy Thai ladies. It has a family restaurant feel which I love, but very few diners seem to come, maybe due to the Aurora address. Somehow, businesses on Aurora don't tend to get much foot traffic. If you move this restaurant to a hipper location, say Wallingford or Capitol Hill, it would probably be more successful and get some customers.

Awesome food and service. The owner is wonderful and cares about his customers. On valentines day he handed out roses to all female guests. We will be sure to come back to this restaurant. Parking can be a bit tight, but well worth it!

We were exhausted after a day of moving and we needed something delicious to satisfy our weary bodies and hungry bellies. We had two veggie dishes and it was absolutely delicious...hit the spot and more. I love ginger and garlic so we got one dish with that and another curry. Eddie came out and talked to us...the whole place is filled with love- recommend. I think we found our new spot.

Yum yum yum. There are no other words. Fantastic tofu and meat options alike. Do not miss this place. And maybe don't come here if you have something against free food and are going to complain about it ;) The staff goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome and the owner? chef? idk. He came out a few times to surprise us with a complimentary salad and then dessert. Thank you Eddie's for a great experience!

Lovely, simply lovely. Every detail is just perfect, down to the cutlery. Service was wonderful, the restaurant is clean and cozy. I went on a sunny evening (last night) but I imagine this would be a warm respite on a cold and rainy winter night as well. I ordered the poached halibut with veggies in tamarind sauce and brown rice. The vegetables are prepared exactly how I like them, perfectly crisp-tender. The portion size is not large, but it is the right amount of food, it's how much I would serve myself at home, though the rice portion is enough for two to share. My husband ordered the cashew chicken which was also quite good. I'm glad we tried this place!

Was my first time at Eddie's and was I impressed. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I got good recommendations from the waitress and ordered one of her suggestions....delicious! I was impressed in their food quality and how fast it arrived. The staff was very polite and accomodating. I would go back again. My only rub?....the silverware was to me very heavy...:)))

This place is a real gem. Amazing food, great owner, hidden away and quiet but feels like a " downtown place " which I rarely go to. Great selection of food and just can't say enough about what a find this place is.

Pretty solid thai place. I have eaten there for lunch and the service was friendly and the food was very fresh and tasty. I have had the drunken noodles and the green curry - both were good/fresh. Just ordered delivery and while food inevitably suffers a little in transport, it was good. Not GREAT. But pretty good. The chicken satay was solid, once again ordered drunken noodles, and tried their 'buttery shrimp' -- was a little surprised to find the shrimp breaded - but they had kind of a coconut thing going on, amidst various vegetables, etc. I'd probably go as high as four stars for eating there, three for delivery.

If you're looking to get out of the normal so-so thai food routine this is your place. The food is amazing, wait staff is kind and attentive, and atmosphere is great. Their thai food is delicious with a suprise around every corner. I ordered the Panang Curry last time I was there and it was creamy and rich unlike any Panang I've ever had. I also liked the chickpeas sprinkled around it. This place is definitely worth trying, prices are fair and you'll never be disappointed!

You can just tell that the ingredients they use at Eddies are a step above the other Thai places in the area. Moist chicken, fresh veggies soft noodles. We had the Chicken Phad Thai and Red Curry Chicken. We were HUGE fans of the red curry, but the Phad Thai lacked a little flavor. Great ingredients, and it tasted good, just not what we expect when we order phad thai. We will be going back for sure and ordering the Red Curry with some other noodle type of dish.

Just wanted to update my previous review and Eddie's still gets 5 stars. We have gone here many times throughout this past year and every single time it is wonderful. I think what I really like the most is that the panang curry meal has a slightly different ywist and yet no matter what it is fantastic. We went there this evening (after I talked my husband out of Calzones;) and started with appetizers Spring Rolls and Crab Wontons which are always handmade fresh to order. We then had the Beef Panang Curry , Cashew Chicken and Chicken Phad Thai with Jasmine rice. (They have wonderful brown rice which they recommend however I am not a brown rice fan) For those who have said the Pad Thai is bland, you just need to add the red chili pepper past to your liking. I actually like this as I can get just the right amount of spiciness instead of ordering 1 star less in fear of too spicy and burning my taste buds...and mind you I do like spicy.:) What I love most is that not only do I know that they use quality ingredients, but I always feel good hours later. (No MSG coma or over salted foods). The meat is always tender and flavorful. We always make sure to order many dishes so we have leftovers the next day...and for vegetarians, they have a great Veg Menu. Yep, another wonderful meal!

I ordered cashew chicken and jasmine rice for pickup. The rice was steamed perfectly, and the chicken - wow. Quite possibly the tastiest stirfry dish I've had here in Seattle. Large chunks of chicken, fresh-tasting vegetables, cashew nuts in abundance, with a kicky sauce to finish things off. Generous portions mean I have leftovers for tomorrow, which is a nice bonus. The woman who handled my order was pleasant and friendly. I will definitely be getting food here again, and recommending Eddies to my friends - my roommate was surprised to know that there's a genuinely good restaurant on 99!

Eddie's is incredible. It scares me to see a place that serves food this good to be empty so often. I'd hate to see them pack up and leave my neighborhood. Not only do they serve some of the best (if not the very best) Thai food in Seattle, but they deliver! I have yet to try anything on their menu that I didn't like, but the Top Sirloin with Teriyaki sauce over a bed of Spinach is truly amazing. Don't miss out.

My dad stumbled across Eddie's a few weeks ago when it first opened up. He was raving about it and we decided to give it a shot when he was passing through Seattle again. The Low Fat menu is great and has lots of options that are delicious and healthy, including the Oil Free Phad Thai. The soup and entree dishes were very good as well. There was no alcohol yet, but the permits are in process. However, the tea they serve was delicious and just what we needed on the cold rainy night we went.

My favorite Thai restaurant in Seattle. Wonderful food at a reasonable price, exceptional service and a nice environment. Amazing as they are located right on Aurora. Eddie's seafood dishes are my favorite. Try them; you won't be disappointed.

We went there while visiting family in Seattle, it was unexpectedly good. Food is much better than typical Tai. There were lots of different dishes for all of us. Sampled bits of others and everything tasted good. Eddie came out to see how we were doing, he was a pleasure to talk with. Eddies dressing is very good. We brought some home to Portland with us and we have our son bring some down when he comes. We will definitely go back for another meal when we are in Seattle. Stop by and and try this gem. Glenn

This is my new very favorite Thai food restaurant. It is all "healthy" cooking and ingredients. The food is DELICIOUS. Eddie himself is a wonderful chef and very friendly. If it's not too busy he will come out and speak with you about how he made something & why. His lemongrass soup with chicken, add the coconut milk, is the best. Also, his Thai Caesar dressing is outstanding. The lunches are so reasonable, so well prepared. The decor and all the fresh flowers is a very nice touch. One does not expect such a nice restaurant in a location on Aurora in Seattle but there it is! You must try the brown rice - his special preparation is very interesting & the story about why he experimented until he found a way to make brown rice not mushy ( or munchy) as he may say. Please try Eddie's & go frequently. We do NOT want him to leave, ever. This location had 2 previous Thai restaurants that closed down. That's how we discovered Eddies because we didn't know the last one was gone & we were so happy to find such an excellent gourmet restaurant. He was won an award in the past according to the menu in 2006 from Thailand govt as the best Thai restaurant in US. The service is prompt & friendly. I have bought his salad dressing and his special dip for home. Yumm Thank you. Susie DeRosa Shoreline, WA

Amazing, I hesitate to eat Thai because I can't eat gluten and soy sauce is a no no. A friend took me here for lunch and I met the owner/chef, Eddie. He was incredibly friendly and went through the menu with me. He uses a soy sauce that is only soybean and rice starch (no wheat) and makes all his own sauces (sweet and sour, salad dressing) and informed me there is no wheat/gluten in them. To top it off they only use canola oil and never add fish sauce to their dishes. I had the Panang beef curry and I'm already planning my next visit to have it again. They use high quality food and you can really tell in the final product. My lunch was $6.75 and was just the right amount. You must try the Thai salad dressing he makes, I even bought a bottle to take home.

Ordered delivery the other night, and it was OK. Not bad, but not very special in any way either. Certainly overpriced for what it was. Celery and chick peas and tomatoes in the Pad Thai? Weird, in a not so good way. The only thing that was really good were the spring rolls. If I was in a bind, I'd go there, but Seattle has better Thai prices.

Who could be blown away by this place? I'm eating this "Phad Thai" as I type and it's like no phad thai I've ever tasted. It's like a bland experimental version that you'd expect in a college cafeteria or something. I live in Wallingford and have had Phad Thai at Jhanjay's (excellent!) and May's (also excellent) and in comparison I'm not even sure this is really Phad Thai. Granted I did order delivery via 2GoServices and I wonder whether they do some watered down version for delivery. Regardless this was a huge disappointment and I wish I could get my money back.

I can echo what other 5 star reviews say about this place. Food was amazing- very fresh ingredients, and amazing service. Complimentary Thai salad, coconut-chocolate covered banana for dessert, and the friendliest waitress. I would highly recommend this place for a great dinner with excellent service.

At a great price point, this restaurant delivers a wide variety of pan asian cuisine Thai. The ingredients are fresh, the dishes are beautifully presented and the service is superb. I wish we would've stopped here months ago like we had been talking about. This will definitely be my go to Thai Food restaurant. I live in this area and hope that this place will be here to stay. Try it, you'll definitely agree!

After reading about this new restaurant in my neighborhood, I decided to try it. I had lunch that I called ahead and picked up to eat at home. I had the Red Curry Chicken and my partner had the Pad Thai with Chicken. Both were excellent. The rice was not sticky (which I hate) and the vegetables and chicken were cooked perfectly. The curry sauce was just the right touch of flavor and lightness. My partner loved the Pad Thai as well. We will go back.

We just moved blocks away from this restaurant and thought we should try it out for some take out. It was pretty great. Being Sat night around 8pm, I couldn't believe there was no one in the restaurant. The beef curry (panang) was unbelievable. We thought the pad thai was pretty good, and definitely a little more tasty when you add some hot chili sauce. The salad was great and I loved the dressing. This is a very weird location for a restaurant, since it is on Aurora, but trust me, you should give it a chance. I will be back for more, for sure!
