This is kind of like an upgraded Denny's. It has great breakfasts and pretty good lunch and dinner. I really like the Corned Beef Hash, Biscuits and Gravy, and Omelets. Kids love the pancakes but I guess those are pretty hard to mess up. Not everything on the menu is stellar but nothing I've had has been bad either. The service is typically good and the atmosphere cozy.

My team mates and I had some intense indoor training last Sunday. We were super hungry and ready to eat. 4 of us drove here and started ordering good stuff on the menu. The one in Woodinville, Sammamish and several other ones are in a local chain I believe. They have awesome breakfast and brunch menu as well as pies and Cinnamon buns. This time, I ordered a half size beef hash brown and a slide of berry pie with ice cream on top. It was very good. Corn beef was good with some crispy hashbrown. I love their pie! Friendly staff and great service. Friends and I all enjoyed the post workout meal!

There aren't a lot of breakfast spots in Sammamish which is a little disappointing. The food is good here, not great, but I go here to enjoy the company. On the weekends, there is always a bit of a wait to be seated because there aren't many other options. The most recent time I went was a spur of the moment brunch with my wife, no kids. It was a great date. I'd come here again for that reason.

  • Dan J.

Long wait to be seated despite being told it would take about 5 minutes. There was a long wait just to order and then another long wait for the food to arrive. Items are over priced but the food is decent. Gets a 3, partly due to the awesome and large cinnamon roll.

Here for our annual visit to the in-laws. Decided to try something new for breakfast. Did not disappoint. Yummy breakfast fare and nice server. Would definitely come back.

Have been here a bunch of times and every time, the food is delicious, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. Service is usually friendly and very capable, unless you happen to get a newbie in which case it drops off quite a bit, but that is rare fortunately. The California omelet is quite delicious and large enough to be shared as they will split the order in 1/2 if you ask (at no extra charge). The various hamburgers with endless fries will fill you up as well...There are just no bad choices here.. These dishes are not from Le Cordon Bleu or the CIA, but just really great comfort food, so if that is what you are looking for, you will be happy with this place, guaranteed.

Since this is the only choice in Sammamish, I say I will still go. The place the big, bright and clean. Good for family and kids. But the food is just soso. I had a omelets with pancake. The pancake did not come even after I finish my omelets.

This is a great place to meet friends for brunch or lunch. The service is solid, and so is the food. It's comfortable and clean. I have enjoyed their corned beef hash and eggs combination very much. I'm a fan of diner food, and they do it well here.

I've had the triple decker club and their hot turkey sandwich here. Only downside with the hot turkey sandwich was the mashed potatoes were made from the box but overall paired well with the hot turkey and gravy. The flavor was there but texture was off as expected from boxed mashed potatoes.

Wow. First time here. Never coming back. Wish I could give zero stars. We waited 15 mins for a table of 8 to be cleared. When it was ready another party came in and took our table without waiting for a hostess. The manager was unwilling to ask this party to get up. So we politely explained our disappointment and expectation that they remedy this. They didn't even offer a future free meal or discount. Horrible. We won't be back.

They offer a wide variety of cafe food, so there is something for everyone. We can't complain. Love that they offer gluten free bread as an option for burgers.

Perfect little breakfast spot close to home! If your ever craving a good meal and not in the mood to prepare, Sammamish Cafe is the place to go! Love all the different creamer flavors they have, and they keep the coffee coming!

I like Diners. This is a diner where you have to be careful about ordering your food if you are trying to go wheat and sugar free. It can however be done. If you're not doing that the food here is ridiculously decadent! Cinnamon rolls as big as yah head!

I have in the past had great breakfast food here, but today I am definitely disappointed. My friend and I both ordered the California Eggs Benedict -- it had no flavor, nor did the hash browns. I felt bad that I recommend SC to eat at. Checked in with my husband he said his last two times at having breakfast here was the same as mine. Bland and lacking that homemade fresh taste. Wish I had talked to him before choosing to eat at SC.

Great breakfast for those of us looking for a great, large breakfast at a reasonable price. My favorite breakfas tis hash and eggs. Pancakes and eggs are my alternate selection. Love their theme of fishing and camping.

Nice spot on the Plateau, we enjoy breakfast here the most. Recommend the omelette with cheese and ham or pancakes. Be careful, you may over do it since their dishes taste so good- be prepared to work out afterwards, you will need it! The service is friendly and fast, we come here every week, they have earned our business and rating! Well done folks.

    (4)
  • Amy B.

Had dinner here cannot believe the rating for worse then Denny's food. Meatloaf tasted microwaved and carrots and mashed potatoes were cold when arrived at table. Pot roast wasn't much better. Only thing that seemed half way ok was the fresh fruit on the pancakes and shake. Will not be returning even of they start serving alcohol.

Incompetent staff. They always mess up the order and then the wait staff is rude about it when you tell them. It seems they just don't care.

We REALLY want to like the Sammamish Cafe. My family and I have been there about 10 times and it's always been expensive and mediocre. Today, for breakfast, we had no refresh on a pot of terrible coffee, I asked for additional water and it was so warm it melted the ice cubes in my glass in 3 minutes, and our food arrived undercooked. When I was leaving, I filled out the comment card provided in the tab. I was parked outside and could see our booth as I got in the car. The three girls (our server and two others clearing the booth) picked up the tab, opened it, and started LAUGHING when they read my comments about the poor service and undercooked food. LAUGHING at poor service. Ownership - you have a serious problem in Sammamish. Your other locations have always been great - we've been going to the Redmond and Issaquah locations for years, with always consistent, great food and service.

  • Barbara O.

Really disappointed in the service we received this morning. Wait staff mulling around trying to decide which tables they wanted to serve. Had to beg for coffee refills! Food was ok, though I think better prepared at SawMill in Mill Creek.

  • K W.

Good food, but check your silverware! Yuk! Got an incredibly dirty spoon and a dirty mug. They are still somewhat new to open, so I'm sure this will come out in the wash...so to speak. (OK, I pushed that one.) Great breakfast menu, equally good lunch menu...same "franchise" as the Issaquah Cafe...just not quite up to Issaquah's experience yet. It'll happen.

  • Claire M.

This place is such a great addition to the restaurant starved plateau(what's up with that by the way? Thousands of people and dollars drive through and live here every day!) The addition of dinner service is very welcome! Food is consistent, service is VERY friendly, and the decor is cute. This location does seem to be a bit smaller than the other cafe locations. Unfortunately, this also limits their toddler and baby seating. Only certain tables accomodate high chairs, so if you are bringing your munchkin along your wait for a table may be a bit longer than someone who does not require a high chair. That aside, the service for kids is great. There is a children's menu, crayons, and kids cups.

  • Jessica R.

My best friend and I went here based on the yelp reviews. Not disappointed! Very cute decor in a modern neighborhood with a woodsy feel inside the cafe. Fresh hand squeezed orange juice and giant cinnamon rolls. I'll come here again and again and bring all my family & friends!

    (4)
  • Christy L.

Ate breakfast here while visiting friends a few months ago. Our food was delicious, the employees were friendly & attentive and the atmosphere is fun and "woodsy." I don't know how the rest of their food is, but the breakfast food was tasty and I would come back. (I had the breakfast sandwich.)

  • Jessica W.

Given the sparse number of brunch spots within the plateau, Sammamish Cafe offers a solid morning option. They don't have anything spectacular or out of the ordinary, but there are just enough options to find something that will match your craving. When I'm yearning for something both salty and sweet, I order a half stack of the Swedish Pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs. It's just enough food to keep me comfortably full. There can be a bit of a wait on the weekends, but bar seating is readily available for smaller parties.

  • Claire P.

I enjoy the food here, especially the Swedish pancakes, plain pancakes, and their fries (I always get them)! The only qualms I have with the food is besides the breakfast food (sans omelettes), everything has meat, which is a pain for a vegetarian like me, so whenever I'm here, all I can have is breakfast food. Also, their giant cinnamon rolls are not good at all. They're dry and the icing is crazy sweet. It is generally pretty packed, but I've never waited longer than 20 minutes and the waiters are fast. All in all, it's a nice place to go for a late breakfast with my family!

  • Andrea W.

We went there for breakfast and really enjoyed it. The food was good, great coffee, and cozy ambience. Our waitress was wonderful. She suggested I get a half-order due to size and she was right. We felt like she was trying to save us money & not waste food. We appreciated it. We will definitely go back many times.

When you pull into the parking lot looking for a place to park, it is pretty packed. As I came upon my destination I noticed people standing outside around the front of the building . I "kicked" my friend out of the car so they could get on the seating list. Upon finding a place to park come to find out there would be a 30+ minute to wait. In my mind I figured if there were people outside waiting to be eat here it is worth the wait. There is a diner bar that is available if there are open spots in case you don't want to wait for a table. After being shown to our table, and given menus, it did take a while for our waitress to come and take our order. I do contribute that to how busy the place was. The service was normal like you would expect from any restaurant, nothing to spectacular. I do give credit to how short of time that we received the food. There was not a long wait from the time we ordered to the food being ready. I did order a breakfast meal and a coffee, which I have to share, in addition of just plain creamer they do place a few of the Coffee Mate creamers, which was fun to see. Their menu has a variety of items ranging from breakfast to lunch. As for dinner menu there wasn't any selection. For next time I would like to try out one of their sandwiches and see how they are. They also sell cinnamon buns which are the size of your face and look very delicious might I add. Coming here was a pleasant experience, I will probably come again here soon.

  • Kim G.

I love visiting here for breakfast. Their portions are large so I generally order 1/2 orders on the menu items where it is available. It is a very small diner with limited seating and the wait on the weekends can sometimes be very long, however it is one of the better places to eat on the plateau. Parking can be challenging as well as it is in a small street center with limited parking. You could always park across the street at the Safeway Plaza if needed.

My husband and I arrived around 8:30 on a Sunday morning and the place was busy; however, we were seated immediately. We live within walking distance, but for people driving, there's substantial parking available at Saffron. No matter how busy the restaurant is, there's always a space. Service was excellent as our drinks and food were brought to the table in a timely manner. We both ordered small orange juices which were good. We're undecided on whether it was fresh or not, but it was super pulp-y. I ordered the Short Stack of buckwheat pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon, and I added a biscuit. The buckwheat pancakes were okay, but I wouldn't order them again - I must not be a fan of buckwheat (doubt it was the restaurant's fault). The scrambled eggs were good, nothing special - I find that to be a theme among restaurants on the Eastside. The biscuit was light and fluffy, perfectly baked and absolutely delicious. The bacon was less crispy than I would've liked, but nice and chewy, and the slices were substantial in size and quite tasty. My husband ordered the Hobo omelet (half size = 2 eggs) and opted for hash browns and white toast. The omelet and hash browns were outstanding - so yummy. Toast is toast, as far as I'm concerned. If you're on the Plateau and need some breakfast noms, this is a good choice! P.S. There's a canoe suspended from the ceiling that appears to only be held up with rope and knots, which doesn't look very secure. We ended up sitting underneath it and I had to develop a safety plan in case it fell on me (partly because I'm crazy and partly because everyone should be prepared).

I was pretty surprised about this place. It's nothing too extraordinary but I do love the wide selection offered. My friend and I have come here often for brunch (because I'm in love with breakfast and he wakes up too late) so he'll often get a sandwich or burger and I'll go for crepes or omelettes. They have large servings and my favorite are the crepes with whip cream. I normally hate whip cream but this one is oh-so-good. Sometimes I'll be in the mood for hash browns which hit the spot, although albeit oily and nothing different. The staff is pretty nice and attentive. For the location and decent prices, it's a good spot.

Had breakfast with family. Good food similar to what you'd find at diner. Lots of variety with courteous staff. Decor is more like a fishing lodge theme than diner. Food was good, not great, but good. Four breakfast cost $50. Seemed a lttle high for breakfast. I'll give them a try for lunch. Burgers sound good but again a little high. Cheapest burger is $10. Definitely a welcome addition to the Plateau.

Today was our first trip to Sammamish Cafe, for a late (10:30) Saturday breakfast. I was surprised at how busy the place was for that time. It took a while to get seated, too long in fact at 20 minutes. We could see one table open (and clean) for over ten minutes before they finally seated us at it. At that point, we realized there were two other tables open and cleaned too, yet they remained empty for quite some time. They also had one couple walk out as they didn't like the 25 minute wait time they were quoted. The cafe needs to do a better job of managing the front of the house, as no one seemed to be in charge. However, once we were seated, the service was really good. So no complaints there. As far as the food, it was spot on. The pancakes were nice, great syrup too and the eggs and hash browns were cooked perfectly. I would have liked to have had a cinnamon roll but the things were as big as my head. No way could I even make a dent in that! The food was a bit pricey. For the two of us, it came to $26.58 before the tip. That was for eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes for hubby and hash browns for me, as well as two coffees. I'll go back but not too often due to the price. Next time we might stop in for pie and coffee or a banana shake. The pies looked simply wonderful. Especially the chocolate meringue pie.

Great food - breakfast at any time is always good, but I don't think I have made a breakfast choice that I have regretted. Have also enjoyed their lunch/dinner options as well!

Really great spot for breakfast on the Plateau! Always packed, but I guess that is how a good breakfast spot should be. I've been a fan of the Bothell location for years and was so happy to hear they were opening the new store in Sammamish. All of the omelets are great, and I always go for the either the Popeye or the California. If you get the right server, they will sub out your pancakes for French toast and I recommend going that route. At lunch, you can't go wrong getting a Chocolate Malt with whatever you order. Oh, I almost forgot. The cinnamon role is delicious and as big as your head. This might be my favorite restaurant that does not have beer!

  • Bruce M.

Had a great experience here. First time for us and the staff went out of there way to service our small group. Food was generous and quality was excellent. We liked the fishing lodge theme and this type of eatery is what the plateau has been missing. We have always enjoyed the Village Square in Redmond and now we do not have to travel as far.

I've been here countless times and every time love it even more. I've honestly never ordered anything and not liked it. The portions are perfect, if not more than enough and the food always "hits the spot"...especially the breakfast items.

  • Sunny B.

We don't have many decent restaurants on the plateau, but the Sammamish Cafe is a great place for breakfast and dinner. If you're craving for comfort food, this is the place. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.

    (4)
  • Taylor C.

This place gets a fourth star simply because its the first solid place to sit down and eat on the Plateau. I wasn't blown away by the food but it was pretty solid. The monte cristo was a bit underwhelming but there was also a solid reuben. I came here for brunch, which (A) is quite busy and (B) caters to the family crowd. The service was slightly inattentive, though not bad enough to warrant a weak tip. The menu has plenty of variety and the portions were generous. Not a bad spot for lunch or brunch

It's great to FINALLY have a real breakfast cafe in Sammamish! We showed up around 10:30AM on a Sunday. It's in the Saffron Center so there's plenty of parking as many of the businesses there aren't open on Sunday or open later. It was packed and it was a 30 min wait but no biggie as it was sunny and there are plenty of outside places to sit. The waitstaff was friendly and the food only took about 10-15 min to arrive. We had a very good waitress. Their coffee brand was good and they offer flavored creamers! As others have said the food is very good but not outstanding but I must say their bisquits were perfect! I only have to drive 5 min instead of 30 to get to Brown Bag Cafe or Lil John's. Hooray for Sammamish Cafe!

Reaffirming the 5-star rating - they deserve it. I come here with my girlfriend for breakfast fairly regularly. They serve the best breakfast that I have had in the Puget Sound region. The waffles are great, pancakes are wonderful, "baby red" breakfast potatoes are really good, Caffe D'arte coffee is tasty, and the wait staff is quick and on top of everything without feeling like they are rushing you. And unlike many diners, this one is nice and clean. It's not a big place - so wait times on the weekend for brunch can be 20 minutes. That's really the only drawback.

I called in to see about getting a reservation and was told no need, 15-20 minutes wait maximum. We showed up 15 minutes earlier then planned just to be safe (9:45 am) and were told 30-40 minutes. We didn't get seated until 11:20, one hour and 35 minutes later. And then it took another 25 minutes to get out food. Once my food arrived, it as cold to the touch. I am giving them a break because they just opened, but they obviously have lots of issues to work out. Tables would sit empty for 15 minutes, people would be waiting to pay for 10-15 minutes, tables would be waiting to be cleared for 10 minutes. I hope they can get their issues sorted. Food was good once it arrived (the second time). Not sure if it was worth the epic wait though, especially with 2 young daughters!!

Love the Village Cafe and was so happy to see my same favorite breakfast items on the Sammamish menu. Highly recommend the Migas. Had to wait for a table, not surprising since this is the best breakfast option in town now! Add bloody marys to the menu and it would be perfect!

  • Brian H.

i have eaten here twice...once for breakfast and once for lunch.....while sammamish doesn't give you a lot of great options for food, and some really bad ones....this new cafe is ok, not great or anything but they serve decent food, if a bit bland....I had the eggs benidict and the prime rib dip....I enjoyed the eggs benidict, but the prime rib dip wasn't much to write home about....given the lack of breakfast options in sammamish, i will repeat. The wait staff is nice and friendly, but the prices are kinda high for the average quality of the food.... Additionally, they are only open for breakfast and lunch and close at 3pm.

    (3)
  • Andy H.

My wife and I were pretty excited to see this place go in...we love the Issaquah and Redmond Cafes and Sammamish doesn't have many breakfast places. Maybe the comparison isn't fair but the Sammamish Cafe is a distant 3rd when compared to the other two. We have tried it 3 times and each time the service was somewhat lacking and the food was a little disappointing. It is very small and we had a wait each time (however many minutes they quote you for a table...double it).

2 out of 3 ain't bad... Today was my 3rd visit to Sammamish Cafe - the first experience was a good one. I went with a friend (who was on a first name basis with the staff), so food and service was great. 2nd time (as you can see from the review below) was rough. I wasn't sure if there would be a 3rd time, but, to my astonishment, I was contacted by the GM of the Cafes Inc. who asked if I would give them another try. The GM saw my previous review on Yelp, and was concerned/disappointed in our level of service. I appreciate that he took the time to reach out to me, and agreed to give them another shot. Today we arrived at 7:30. The place was not busy, only about half full. We were greeted & sat immediately. The person who sat us took our drink order & within a minute we had a steaming cup of really good coffee sitting right in front of us. Our waitress showed up just a moment later, told us about the special & suggested a cinnamon roll to start off with. They looked amazing, but absolutely enormous - a meal in itself, so we declined. My husband ordered eggs benedict, I went crazy & ordered chicken fried steak & eggs. The eggs benny was perfectly cooked, and the hollandaise sauce was creamy and delicious. The chicken fried steak and eggs was really good too. It was one of the best chicken fried steaks I have had (which says alot, being that I'm from Texas). The crust was crispy still, and it sat atop homemade country gravy. It was served with 2 eggs, 2 biscuits and hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were just how I like them, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. You would be amazed how many restaurants can't cook hashbrowns - Sammamish Cafe got it right. My meal was huge - I ended up taking 2/3's of it home. My husband and I will be fighting over who gets the leftovers. I will win. Moral of the story, don't blacklist based on one bad experience. Keep an open mind - I'm glad I did.

My wife and I had hamburgers and fries at noon on a Saturday. The place was booming, but the twenty minute wait was fine and exactly what the host said it would be-to the minute! I began with a cup of pea soup. It was, frankly, the best pea soup I have ever had, loaded with ham and perfectly seasoned and hot. The hamburger was big and cooked and served just as I had ordered. Personally, I would have rather have had steak fries than the crinkle fries that come with it, but that's just me. My wife and I shared a humongous piece of cherry pie alamode. If they serve pie in heaven, that pie is on the menu. A blue ribbon-worthy pie in any State fair. Perfect, Service too was excellent. Although extremely busy, the waitress was friendly, gracious, and took time to do what good wait staff should. All in all a very satisfying experience. Certainly a prize addition to the Sammamish Plateau.

After dining at The Sammamish Cafe several times over the last year, I think they deserve three stars. When I learned they were going to open "up here" on the plateau, I was so excited, as I have always enjoyed The Issaquah Cafe. Unfortunately, while the food is just as good as their Issaquah sister, the service is not. We have gotten good table service about every other time we've gone. I also have a problem with how pricey everything is for what you get. Today, my son and I went out for breakfast. The waitress sold him on one of the 'daily specials' (cinnamon bun french toast) which was listed on the chalk board for, I believe, $6.99. She then asked him how he wanted his eggs and did he want bacon or sausage with that. When I got the bill, the charge for his meal alone was $14.41. Apparently it costs more than seven dollars for two eggs and two pieces of bacon! And we were never informed that this was an upcharge. When I asked the waitress about the charge, she said, "Didn't you know the bacon and eggs were extra?" Well, no. How could I have known that? It wasn't on the board, wasn't on the menu and YOU didn't tell me? The waitress did offer a chilly apology and corrected the bill, which I appreciated. But I was annoyed that they tried to sneak in such a ridiculous upsell to begin with. This sort of thing has happened often enough that I felt comfortable yelping about it. Bottom line: Zero complaints about the food--it's delicious. But having to remain ever-vigilant about being jabbed on the bill and also experiencing sub-par table service service several times really kind of spoils this place for me.

Had breakfast there today with a co-worker. I ordered the breakfast burrito and asked that they spice it up. The cook added jalapenos to the eggs and voila, perfection. The waitress was courteous and kept my coffee topped off. The interior finishes are very nice and suited perfectly for the plateau. I highly recommend a visit to Sammamish Cafe.

Been there twice once for breakfast and once for lunch. On both occassions, the food and service were great. Portion sizes are good and there were raves from our table about the biscuits and scones. Pies are wonderful, too.

My wife and I come here once in awhile. We always get seated right away and the food is always good and the service very friendly. Its also not that loud in there which is nice. I try something new everytime I go. Ive had the fried chicken, meatloaf, the turkey pot pie, pot roast, and the burger. All were tasty. Their beef barley soup was awesome, get it on a cold day, yumm! The best I've had. They also have great pies for dessert! If we're looking for american for dinner, sammamish cafe is a short drive from home and always tasty. We havent tried their breakfast yet, but one day we definitely will. Best ever? No, doesnt beat mom's cooking. But I rather spend my money here than cheesecake factory!

We love this place! Great food and friendly staff. It gets very crowded on weekend mornings but worth the wait.

It's all a facade is how I'd describe this place. From the made to look old decorations to the out of the box pancake mix and sausage links; this place screams artificial. Not an authentic thing about it. I wish there was a better breakfast place in Sammamish. The only thing this place has going for it is that it opens at 6 (7 on Sunday) and they are the only game in town. Grab a breakfast sandwich and a coffee at Starbucks; at least you'll be satisfied.

They meet my #1 criteria for breakfasts; they have real butter and maple syrup! And you can have breakfast any time of day. I love French toast for dinner!

The food was great. I ordered the chicken fried steak and hash browns for dinner. They did not skimp on the gravy and the portions were generous. The kids ordered the fruit pancakes and the presentation of the food was great. My complaint is with the service. The restaurant at this time wasn't even a 1/3 full but and there was plenty of servers but we waited for so long to even place our order. Our server apologized and stated that no one told her she had a new table. If she would have bothered to check on her section regularly she would have noticed we were waiting for 15 mins for her to show up. I had to go up to the counter to ask someone to have her come by. I noticed the diners in our section were growing impatient as well. After we finished eating we I again had to go find someone to ask her to run out check so I could pay and leave. I did not tip generously at all as her service was not acceptable. As a former server myself I know what is considered standard service and I did not receive it this day. As soon as this place can figure out their waitstaff opportunities this could be a great regular local restaurant for me and the family.

I'm lowering my rating for Samm Cafe as the recipes have changed and what used to be predictable, delicious comfort food has taken a step down in quality. Our eggs benny had runny sauce with a noticeable tang flavor compared to past visits of silky smooth deliciousness. I usually order extra sauce for my hash browns and the extra sauce had a large clump of overlooked yolk in it. I mean if you can't reheat the sauce appropriately at least remove the overlooked lumps from it. Samm Cafe is just not what it used to be. Too bad, this used to be my go to breakfast place.

We've been there 2x - once for breakfast, and once for Saturday mid-pm lunch. Both times we were impressed with the ambiance and the menu choices. Breakfast was good, omelets are tasty, but pancakes are rubbery, and the bacon potato pancakes were not crispy and just OK. Lunch was good too - the hamburger was tasty, the Caesar salad is a nice choice, so is the chili. The milkshake was fun, for sure. We were enjoying relaxing and would have ordered dessert but got the check before we were finished, and never asked if we would like dessert. Too bad. All in all, we'll be back because we like the location, the atmosphere, the service is friendly, and we'd like to try a few other things on the menu - seems like mostly regular but good food, which is a plus. We'll just have to figure out what we like, and what we don't, and be proactive if we want dessert. :)

Great service and food. Dad had the smoked salmon and cream cheese omelette and I had a strawberry waffle with poached eggs and bacon. Portion sizes were huge. Only complaint is that I wish their waffles were Belgian waffles instead of the thin waffles.

The food is exactly what you'd expect. Diner food. The 30-45 minute wait for breakfast on a weekend is the only reason anybody goes to the ale house down the street.

Really good food and very nice service! We sat at the bar and still felt like there was a nice ambiance a around us. Huge portions so I would suggest getting half orders. The veggie scramble and corn beef hash were delicious!

Great place for breakfast on the Far East side. Went in on Sunday around 1130 AM, wait for a party of two was only 5-8 minutes. Plenty of coffee offered and provided. Had the meat lovers scramble with pancakes, just too much food for me but man was it good. Will I go back, sure. Just a bit out of the way for me bit well worth the visit.

My family and I eat here quite a bit, usually about once a month. It's high on the list of favorite places for us all for their great food and wonderful atmosphere. I'd say that this is about the best place around Issaquah/Sammamish for classic american comfort foods. They have all the classics cooked just how you like them. Kids can have their chocolate chip pancakes or burgers, my wife gets her blintzes and I can enjoy some pot roast, meat loaf or other good old grub. Topping it all off, it is relatively affordable (as much as anything is on the Plateau) and the wait staff are always VERY friendly. My only caveat: They are closed at odd times - There have been a couple of evenings that we've come up only to find them closed, so check the website ahead of time. (Right now, they aren't open for dinner Monday and Tuesday, FYI). We've eaten also eaten at their sister restaurant, the Issaquah Cafe. It's also very good, but doesn't seem like it's quite the same.

A fantastic spot. The cinnamon rolls are fantastic - about the size of a football. My son digs their hot cocoa. Best breakfast place in Sammamish, IMO. Very supportive of the local community. The service is awesome. Not enough good things to say.

This place is a legit 4 stars. I am somewhat biased due to nostalgia. We always came here after our prenatal visits as a treat, so it holds fond memories. To the food... I am a corned beef hash junkie (aficionado if you prefer) and Sammamish cafe has it nailed! It's made from scratch, not from a can. Omelets are hard to beat. Pancakes are great, nice and fluffy. Burgers are good (though not Jak's burgers). Their pies are outstanding, especially on 'pie day' when a slice is $1.50 (or somewhere thereabouts). Chocolate cream pie..., oh mamma!! Great breakfast/lunch spot in "The S'mish".

Went here for brunch. I can't complain service is excellent and food is delicious except that the syrup is watery yuck! and the side of toast is $ 2.50 . Ridiculous. Will I come here again ....nah ...I will cook at home. Sorry.

My son and I love to come here for breakfast, he really enjoys the pancakes, I enjoy the Popeye minus the fungi. Syrup is home made and the red potatoes are the best. Staff is always friendly and coffee while you wait.. can't beat that.

Update: Owner called me and promised to look into situation. Did find my description accurate, and offered to rectify the situation. He was very professional, and assured me that this was not intentional. I appreciate his diligent attention. This is the kind of management that stands behind the name of their establishment and go out of their way to make right a bad experience of a customer. I will keep this update for a couple of weeks so others can see the update, but will later remove this review as it has been addressed properly. ========= Whoa! watch out when you eat here. I clearly put a final amount on my credit card bill. But when I got my credit card statement, they clearly bumped up the tip. I have the receipts to prove it. Not sure if it was management or the waiters, but this clearly is a breach of trust with patrons. BEWARE!!!!

Ah, it's the Issaquah cafe but closer to my family's abode. Yeah, I'll take it. I really like the decor and feel of the restaurant - very woodsy/cabin feeling. Also, it's got that damn California omelet that I just straight up love and adore. Avocado? I'm already in like Flynn! Plus bacon, cheese, tomatoes and green onions? SOLD. Doesn't hurt that the sweet salsa they serve it with is just plain delicious. I know it's popular because this time around my brother, Dad and I ordered it and as well left I saw quite a few being served up. The half order was just enough for me - as long as I had the fluffy pancakes that came with it. Service is pretty quick, even when they're busy. I did notice a bit of a slow down when you're stuffed in the back corner but it wasn't too bad. The coffee is good, the food is good, and the food is good. For an area that seems to be lacking in good breakfast joints, this is a welcome change!

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. Great decor. Has the feeling of a small diner but better! Pretty good breakfast. Loved the Thanksgiving dinner platter around the holiday season!

We went to breakfast last sunny sunday around 11 am! Was told the wait would be 40 minutes.....but heck we only waited 15 minutes~! Got hot fresh free coffee and some nice chairs to wait our turn! Place was totally packed! Once seated we ordered the breakfast burrito, French toast, bacon, eggs and hashbrowns and the corn beef and hash! It was sooooo good! Oh and an order of pancakes! We enjoyed every single bite and will be back for certain! What a great find in Sammamish! Loved it!

This place is friggin' fantastic! Great food AND amazing pie. The ultimate combo. Seriously, the entire menu is made up of lovingly crafted and incredibly delicious sounding food. This makes it incredibly stressful as I have only ONE stomach and can only have ONE item per trip. First world problems. The chowder is amazing, their B.O.B. while not named after me is delicious and is like a Greatest Hits album for breakfast, and they have Monte Cristo Sandwiches. Good ones. Not super greasy. (do yourself a favor and get jam & syrup with it) The only things that knock it down a star is that it is almost always a packed house (due to Sammamish not having many options) and the food seems a little pricey. But will I go back? Of course. It helps that it is a 20 minute walk away, so I can burn all those fried sandwich calories.

While we were visiting my in-laws Samamish, I googled for dining options in Samamish. The positive reviews lead us to this little gem! We took my father-in-law for a late breakfast one morning. The corn beef hash was made from scratch, and the best my husband has ever had. My fahter-in-law had the chicken fried steak, and loved it. I had a bacon cheddar burger that was yummy! The food was great, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere charming. My father-in-law now frequents the café for breakfast and lunch... He says it took his kids from PA to introduce a him to a restaurant in his own back yard!
