Peyrassol Café at Southport Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Had dinner here a few times and every time the food has been consistently good. We have tried the the boeuf bourguignon (our favorite), the tagliatelle, and the fish of the day cooked in parchment paper. The place is really cute and on a nice day you can have a walk at the Gene Coulon Park which is right next to it. Service is friendly too.

I give this place 4 stars because the wait for food is somewhat long. There is only one server/manager but the foods are freshly made. I love this place for weekend brunch. The serving sizes are perfect for myself (which are small). Very simple, straight forward menu. Cost is on the higher side, but I think its worth it for the time spent :)

This restaurant is a true gem. The service and food are fantastic. I can imagine that some would consider the portions small but size is far from the most important consideration when appreciating food (unless starvation is at play). For the price, you will get quality food prepared with quality ingredients by somebody who obviously loves what they do. It's wonderful to have a place like this in Renton and saves me from many trips to Seattle, where similar fare exists but service is consistently, well, Seattle-y.

loved this place! was nearly impossible to find and I ended up parking down by the volleyball courts because I couldn't figure out anywhere else to park :-) The waitress was really fun and provided really nice recommendations throughout the meal. Nice wine selection to go with their food. We did dinner and sat out on their patio which was really nice. a few too many spiders hanging around on the rails around the patio for my taste, but the lovely summer temps made it worth it! The food was exceptional! interesting flavors and combinations - we couldn't help but try bites from everyone's plates :-)

Pretty solid brunch spot. Except kinda pricey for what you get and selection is small. You can call in for reservations, though it wasn't completely packed when we wen at around 11am on a Saturday. I ordered the oeuf plats (basically ham, cheese, eggs baked w/ a side of toast). The ham was really good! I wish the egg yolk wasn't fully cooked though. This was $9 which is pretty reasonable for what you get. The lakeside benedict on the other hand was $14.50 for just two slices of english muffin, ham, two poached eggs. No sides. Pricey in my opinion. Though it was also very tasty. I did prefer the oeuf plats more though. I'd come again, though I don't know if there was a whole lot of anything else I would want to try, maybe the dutch baby.

The best lunch I've had in Renton. I would eat here every day if I could. This is a must stop for French food. The outdoor seating is nice but it's not covered.

I had high expectations for this place, based on the reviews that I read.. But was extremely disappointed. I was hoping to get breakfast, but found out that "brunch" was only served on Saturdays. So, I guess that was my fault for not knowing. The only breakfast option on their extremely limited "lunch menu" was the Oeufs Plats, so I just went with that. Our orders came out promptly, but the portions were very small and not filling whatsoever. The food was mediocre, but I don't think I will be back.

We ordered the eggs Benedict. The food was good but pricey. I'm not sure if it's worth going there again.

Dutch Dutch baby! I've recently discovered how in love I am with having brunch. It sure beats my honey bunches of oats at home hence why I am on the lookout for cafes and restaurants with brunch items! I'm new to this game, BUT as a fat kid... I am on a mission to find me some good eats! We stopped by here for my husband's birthday, I have to say that we were happy with the service, food and the overall experience. I don't have any complaints, which is kind of rare thing because I have a lot to say about everything. #divafoodie LOL. I'm giving this place a four star because I really enjoyed my time here BUT I kind of would like to come here again and try their dinner options before I officially adjust the STARS*. In terms of location: who freaking knew?! I go to Coulon Park pretty often in the summer for bbqs and short walks and I had no idea this little building existed! I just thought it belonged to Boeing LOL. Unseen from the street, instead of turning right into the main entrance, take a left and you'll find a parking garage on your right. NOTE: when getting out of the garage stop in front of the gate, it will go up so you can drive out. I circled the garage looking for a way out so... you're welcome! Haha! I looked like a fool driving around in circles ;) I called to make a reservation but it apparently got lost. Nonetheless, they quickly seated us and apologized for the mishap. That was really nice :) The service was pretty good as we got everything we ordered promptly, including my iced vanilla latte and my hub's orange sparking soda, entrees came out within 15 minutes of the drinks being served so I wasn't starving for too long. The tables seem to be more suited for dates and small parties, the bigger tables are sometimes shared. I didn't mind sharing a table but the day we had brunch, it was already pretty packed. I was trying to food stalk the other tables, this place is happenin` on the weekends so try to call in beforehand if you can. I've never had a Dutch baby before so when I saw this on the menu I just HAD to try it because first of, it looked really scrumptious in the pictures I saw online. Second, it's totally original, I've had my fair share of pancakes and french toast so this was next on my hit list. Let me tell you, I fell head over heels for this dish. It comes out in a cut little cast iron pan, served with maple syrup and a wedge of lemon. It's kind of hard to describe but the Dutch baby is almost like a mix between a flan or custard with a pancake. The texture was really pleasing - the egg sets up so it's firm but still deliciously creamy. It's not very sweet, drizzle the maple syrup to your liking and dig in! I actually preferred my Dutch baby WITHOUT the lemon, but I recommend you try it just in case you like it that way. It adds some acidity that cuts the richness of the custard and in a way balances out the maple syrup as well. Also, I'm not sure how you should attach this yumminess but I started eating in the middle so that I could get burnt pieces around the edges. That was awesomeeeee, the pan held up the heat well so I got dough-y burnt pieces. The portion size was perfect, I thought it looked small but it's not that light of a dish so I was satisfied and full. My hubs had an eggs benedict special, I don't have anything to report because I kind of got distracted while eating my own food and didn't get a bite :( This is a really cute spot for date night so bring your loved ones here to try it out!

We discovered this place by accident. One of the hidden gem by the The Landings in Renton for sure. Breakfast here is simply amazing. One must try the breakfast crepe; it is to die for. Visit Peyrassol cafe you're in for a treat.

I was down in Renton to see a play when a friend recommended this spot. We called for a reservation and they told us they were too busy at 5 but could get us in at 5:15 so we took it. We all got lost tryng to find this spot. It's kinda buried so be ready for that. Once we each found it, we went into the cute resturant which is kinda cluttered at the front where you enter, but the seating area is clean. Once seated it took a very long time for the waiter to come to our table. I was there 15 minutes before my friends since everyone was lost and during that time the waiter never came to offer me anything. Once my party arrived we felt fairly ignored again by our server. She was nice when she was at the table, but trying to get her attention was impossible. One of my party even got up and tracked her down to ask a question. not great. But the food, oh the food was excellent. I wished I could give this wonderful food experience 5 starts, My beef Burgoinione (SP)? was incredible over polenta, My friend loved her Egg platter the pasta dishes were just perfect. But the service so bad I do not plan to come back.

Fantastic french style cafe hidden away just enough to provide some quiet comfort and delicious food. The service is fantastic and we observed the wait staff catching up with the regulars on events since they had last seen them. Arrived for brunch and I ordered the Oeufs Plats, which is a typical dish you see at cafes like these in France. After one bite I knew I'd be returning again for them. For brunch, the servings are on the smaller side (not a complaint) so consider ordering an additional item to share or some fruit on the side.

I want to love this place, really I do, but there are so many disappointing aspects, I'm just not able to. We live nearby and had dinner with my parents. Cocktails and wine were great, started off with bread...they call it "bread service" and charge $1.50 per person...I call it "nickel and dime-ing". We all had a chicken dish with side salads- I don't think I've ever had a saltier, yet unbelievably more bland meal. We left smelling like a kitchen because of the open concept type kitchen. Eyes turned red from the irritation of it...not good. Like I said, I want to like this place so much...but I can't. It's just plain pretty bad :(

Nice food and good service in a setting with some pleasant ambiance. It's nice to find someplace with easy parking that wasn't crazy-busy for brunch.

Went for the first time and it was solid all the way around. The cheese board to start was a nice selection, the beouf w polenta was really quite good. Desert was a set of 3 ice cream filled pastries w dark chocolate sauce - also very good. Nice list of French wines which we had one of (cannot remember what we chose..). Service was as you would want. Ambiance is pretty good too and the price was quite reasonable. We will be back.

I'm in Renton for the month, and I discovered this place thanks to Yelp, and it's a half mile from where I'm staying. Me? I've spent a lot of time in France, lived in Italy and Austria, and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area exposed to fabulous wines, food and produce, with Napa and Sonoma being only an hour away. This place is fantastic. I started off with a fabulous cocktail, had house-made angel hair pasta with truffle butter, and the butterscotch pot de creme with cayenne spiced pecans and whipped cream for dessert. In addition, the sommelier, Scott, recommended a Valpolicella that went great with my dinner. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and there was just so much respect for this plate. The dessert was heavenly and I have to say that normally I don't eat dessert, but when in Europe, I do. While they do have some desserts that cater to the American palette (very sweet), I SO glad I had dessert here. I can't wait to try brunch on the weekend and to take my friend who lives so close to here!

Wow, what a great spot! Peyrassol offers the perfect balance of high food quality, reasonable prices, and low pretentiousness. It's very obvious that everything is home made here, and the open kitchen showcases many of their fresh ingredients. Unlike some other reviews, our server was excellent despite being very, very busy. The portions and dishes served here are fairly consistent with what I've experienced in provincial France and Italy. There is a focus on quality core ingredients without going nuts with weird ingredients and overly ambitious seasonings. Compared to other (more expensive) dinners I have had in Seattle, you will look at the menu at Peyrassol and not wonder if a given dish is going to be good, as these are relatively simple and trustworthy dishes executed at the highest level. The ouefs plats is a dish that exudes these qualities, as it is a simple combination of ingredients, but the selection of meat, cheese, and oil in combination with strong execution leave you wanting a second order. Let's talk about prices for a second. If, by chance, you were to go go McCormick and Schmick's for dinner, you can get a pasta dish for $15-22. If you get an honest server there (try the bartenders), they will admit that the sauce comes there in a bucket, and that the noodles come prepackaged. For roughly the same price at a place like Peyrassol, you will receive a slightly smaller portion of pasta that is completely hand made. If you can't see the value here, there are probably some open seats for you at the Cheesecake Factory.

Great traditional Italian cafe tucked away from traffic and next to a waterfront park. Really appreciated the top wine selections and imported brews. The lunch menu is perfect with something for everyone without needing a ridiculous amount of options. Great service with a open kitchen layout that spills local pride, and who doesn't love being greeted by the chef! Very glad to have this authentic family cafe in my neighborhood.

Quaint little (but not too little) European style café. Wife and I took the older girls out for lunch, and everyone had a good time. We started with salads (lettuce, radicchio, and arugula with a red wine vinaigrette and pecans) and soup (black-eyed pea with in a "spicy" tomato broth). Then it was sandwiches, pasta, and more soup for entrées. I had what I would consider the best grilled cheese sandwich I have ever had in my life (sorry, Mom, it's the truth)-with ham, gruyere, and pickled onions on crusty bread, sautéed in butter. Really - the best. The pork cheek bbq was my first experience with that part of the pig, and I'm definitely going back. Cheek is meaty and tender, and full of porky flavor. The house made sauce was similar to thousand island, but mild enough to let the pork shine. I don't normally get dessert, but something deep from my childhood made me order the strawberry - rhubarb shortcake. It was perfect - not too sweet. I had a bite of the salted caramel brownie sundae, and it was very good. The Gelato was absolutely decadent, and I think the caramel sauce was made by a french grandma they have hidden in the back. Wonderful meal. Excellent service.

I was looking for a brunch spot in Renton and came across this hidden gem. Tucked away in a nice location below the Bristol at Southport residential complex right next to Coulon Beach Park. They offer a rustic European inspired menu which is also what drew me in. The staff was friendly and service was great. I tried their LAKESIDE EGGS BENEDICT which was simple and delicious. Everything tasted soo fresh and serving size was perfect for me that I finished it. I had a taste of their OUEFS PLATS and that was amazing! I've never had anything like that before. The white truffle oil was the cherry on top. I'll have to update when I get a chance to check out their dinner menu.

One of the things I could eat forever is eggs Benedict and here, they whip up a great plate of eggs Benedict. The hollandaise was of the perfect consistency, not too funny and not too think with this light sort texture to it. The was a balance of flavor. The only other dish I ordered here was the French toast and that was meh.

This is a great place for brunch! We had the Ouefs Plats and the Lakeside Eggs Benedict. Both were excellent! The only complaint is that my friend has a gluten allergy and they would not substitute the toast with something that she could actually eat. I understand it's a small kitchen, but it was still disappointing.

Found this place with a friend by accident while walking in Coulon park. A locally run small cafe that is one of my favorites. The staff are very friendly and personable. The food is fresh and cooked to order with a simple menu. A nice little cafe that is off the beaten path.

I love Peyrassol. I do, I really do. Located on the ground floor, beneath the Bristol I building, Peyrassol Cafe is a higher end restaurant for north Renton. There is some parking located on the street, but there is also a parking garage located about fifty yards away that offers free two hour parking for Peyrassol customers. I would strongly recommend utilizing that in the months ahead as construction on the new hotel next door has started. It is a small restaurant that is often times fairly empty at 5 PM, but practically full to capacity by 7 PM especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Tuesday and Wednesday nights they seem to be slightly slower, and they are closed on Sundays and Mondays. The noise levels in the main dining room can be elevated with a full house. I adore the food. If I were super rich I would never use my kitchen and simply eat here all the time. Everything is handmade and fresh from the noodles to the sauces. Their menu changes seasonally, but there are a few items that never are removed from their beouf bourguignon to their tagliatelle al ragú bolognese. I am absolutely addicted to their ragu bolognese. The meat sauce is fantastic, not too heavy, not too light, and simply delicious. Their noodles absolutely win me over. I have also had their noodles with gorgonzola, which was great, as well as their French crepes with shrimp and crab which was delicious, if not a bit rich for me. I have gone here for brunch and had both their french toast - magnificient! - and their eggs benedict - which was over the top good. They offer a full bar, so even if your drink of choice is not on the menu let them know what you want and they will make it happen. Their drinks are fairly stiff, so take it nice and slow. Their desserts are absolutely amazing. Seriously amazing. If one item changes frequently it is their desserts as they offer seasonal items. I have not had any of their core desserts because I keep trying the items that I see come on and off the menu. Currently they have this butterscotch phenom in a small dish that tastes like heaven. I am not sure how long it will be on the menu, but if you love butterscotch you need to visit Peyrassol before it is gone! Lastly, service. Many of the complaints about Peyrassol are in regards about service and my gut tells me if we asked all the reviewers to describe the server in question the same description would be given. 90% of my experience with Peyrassol has been with great and friendly servers. With the great servers it doesn't matter how much or little you order, they will treat you the same. Peyrassol has some of the best servers I have had, people who will stop and check on the table no matter if it is their table or not. On the other hand I have had a couple servers at Peyrassol who aren't the warmest or most welcoming of servers. These servers I do not see as frequently as the others, but I will admit I quickly miss the others if one of them is my server for the night. It does make a significant difference having a server who makes you feel welcomed versus one that makes you feel like you're taking up space. I am willing to overlook them for the fantastic and tasty experience Peyrassol offers. I would recommend that you visit.

Food is fantastic here. My advice is that you don't order in typical restaurant fashion where each person orders their own entrée...instead...order family style so you all people at the table can try all the lovelies on the menu and you will have a smorgasbord of gastronomic delights.

The first time I ate here was for a date night and I was very unimpressed. The food was bland, service was slow, and the waitress was snooty. I figured it was a fluke; there are way too many great reviews. We gave it three months and went back this morning with my out of town brother for brunch. It was even worse. Let me start out by saying, the food itself was pretty good. Not sure if it is worth the high price tag, but the french toast was great and the bacon was cooked to perfection. Our main issue was with the service; the waitress completely ignored us. I have a big issue when I feel like the service is dependent on who the waitress deems will dish out the most cash for their meal, and I definitely felt like that was going on here. I heard her be completely nice to the middle age women drinking mimosas behind us, but literally the only thing she said to us was, "It looks like thunderstorms are coming, if you move inside take your stuff from the table because I can't carry all of that". Um excuse me? I was planning on it, but still. The restaurant was not very busy, and it took over half an hour to get our three plates of food. Not once did the server come out and tell us the status and she did not apologize when she finally brought the food either. After we had completely finished eating, we waited another twenty minutes and the check still had not arrived. My boyfriend ended up finding a different waitress and asking her for the check. It took another ten minutes. Then, to add insult to injury, they charged us for a coffee refill we never received. I was so frustrated that I didn't even bother trying to fix it. When we walked out our waitress was standing right by the front door and didn't even acknowledge us. Maybe I just got unlucky twice, but I don't think I'll be back.

I don't usually don't give bad reviews to eateries because I LOVE to eat and can almost always find something positive about a place. I just can't about this place. My wife and I ordered the French toast, and it tasted like toast, sans the French. Seriously, half of the "French toast" was just burnt bread, with the other half was lightly dipped in something that kinda resembling that of "French toast." Not only that, it was tough. Like, leather tough. So imagine eating French toast that was only half "French," and is nearly impossible to cut through. On top of that, their "Grade A syrup" taste like regular syrup, only they give you a teaspoon of it (I wish I was exaggerating) and if you ask for extra (meaning, another teaspoon) IT'S AN EXTRA DOLLAR!!! Unbelievable.

Great food in a quaint little restaurant. I've had every meal every and everything has been delicious! Brunch on Saturday the crepes are fabulous but the French bread French toast is my absolute favorite. For lunch the house salad has amazing dressing that I would buy if it were bottled for retail. I have also had wonderful soups and a tuna sandwich that was also great. For dinner I am addicted to the steak with the mashed potatoes and the pepper sauce. I have also had the salmon at that was perfectly cooked. The restaurant not only has a great wine selection but the cocktails are so tasty too. Go here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! This is a great little spot for girls night or date night.

Came here for brunch with a couple of friends on a Saturday morning, It wasn't too crowded but for some reason the staff wasn't seating any one who was waiting at any of the empty tables. We ended up waiting for about 15 minutes then were seated at a table that was made up and empty for the entire time we were waiting. Other then that the service was OK. The food was pretty good, wouldnt' say it was the greatest but the prices were really high, for what you got. We spent over 40 bucks for 2 people and left hungry and unsatisfied. Oh and if it's a little cold outside don't expect them to close the front door, I think it's the only way they have ventilation for the kitchen so expect to be a little cold especially if you are anywhere near the door. Will most likely not return.

Everybody please try this spot out! The food was amazingly fresh and delicious.. Honestly the best hollandaise sauce I've ever tasted. Best bloody Mary's as well. The service here is very personal and hospitable, Kristi's service and hospitality is perfection. This place is truly a gem! I really want to see this business succeed! Try it out y'all!

Peyrassol has some of the best food I have had in recent years! We met a friend there who had highly recommended it and we were beyond impressed! Peyrassol offers a small, but delectable menu and a large variety of wines. The place isn't very large and it got very crowded as the night went on, but it still retained a peaceful atmosphere. The service was also superb. Peyrassol is definitely on the pricey side, but it is well worth the price!

We went for the first time, yesterday. Having a reservation is suggested. We both had eggs benedict - which was amazing!! The coffee was also great! :) The poor waitress was over worked. She was waiting every table, bussing food, and being hostess. I think they were short staffed because at one point a chef came out and started bussing empty tables. Still - everyone was SO friendly. This is my new favorite brunch spot! A hidden gem in Renton!!

My friends and I were on the hunt for a good brunch place in Renton and Peyrassol was definitely a good choice. I ordered their lake side eggs benedict and it was yummy! My friends had the ouefs plats and the portion was good. The frittata was extremely cute looking and the taste was superb. Overall portion was good, not too big, not too small. The wait time is so so, about 45 minutes from the time you enter the cafe to when your food is served, enough time to chat and catching up. The atmosphere was very cozy. The cafe is located in a semi-secluded part of Renton with plenty of parking. I would come here again and I highly recommend it.

Waited for 45 minutes to get our food. No reason given for delay. Coffee was never refilled and no apologies for delay. The eggs Benedict arrived a bit cold, especially the sauce. Not going back. French toast and eggs Benedict not recommended. Disappointed.

I was very excited to try this place as I had passed by it before and read the Yelp reviews, but was thoroughly disappointed by how the receipt was handled afterward. I suppose places now judge for themselves how much they should be tipped? As for the food, the granola is delicious, but isn't something that you wouldn't be able to find in organic cafes, the frittata was very salty, the quiche was beautifully presented, but the taste was just like any others. I will not be returning.

We have been here twice now and all the food was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh. Nothing was overly seasoned. Somehow the chef just knew how to bring the flavors together just perfectly. Both times the waitstaff was very friendly. The second time, they were busy so it took a long time but it was worth the wait.

Super disappointed in my Peyrassol breakfast. The service was extremely slow and the frittata's we ordered had zero flavor. Both me and my husband left still hungry and disappointed. I really wanted to like this place, but we will never be back. Also the location and parking were a hassle and the prices were pretty high for what you got. I would recommend the wild wheat or sun break cafe for an awesome breakfast!

This place is absolutely AMAZING!!!! For brunch I love their Ouef Plats with a side of locally smoked bacon that's always cooked to perfection, and for dinner you really cannot go wrong with any of their seasonal dinner menu selections. The chefs/owners are very passionate and take so much pride in their food, which is reflected in the taste. Kristi, the server extraordinaire, is incredibly friendly and personable. All the other servers I have encountered do an exceptional job as well, ensuring the service is just right. This restaurant is a MUST TRY; you will not be disappointed.

Came here early Saturday morning for brunch and pleasantly surprised in the quality of food at this little cafe. The location is bit to find, it's tucket away by coulon beach on the 1st floor of an apartment buildling. There are plenty of seating inside and even though I was the first customer of the day, they had a great aroma already. We ordered a latte and cappuccino, which were not the best but not the worst either. I got the Oeuf Plats, which was 2 free range eggs cooked over medium on light cheddar cheese and prosciutto. There was also truffle oil drizzled on top that took it over the top. Price was reasonable at $7.50 and it came with 2 pieces of toast. Our other entree was their daily scramble special with sausage, mushroom and spinach. The eggs were cooked to perfect soft consistency and the portion was generous as well. Overall out bill was over $30, so it you are looking to be on the cheaper side, just order regular drip coffee. I'm gonna have to come back to try their fresh pasta during dinner. Can't believe I found such a little hidden gem in renton!

I expected more for such a French restaurant. After reading many online good reviews, I and my husband were waiting for going there. I expected something simple cozy but good food. However, it was opposite to what's we thought. Here is why I only put 3 star 1. My "Beouf Bourguignon" means beef stew served with corn cake wasn't impressive. 2. Each time the waitress asked for extra bread, they charged $1.50 even the bread were neither warm nor fresh baked. They write about it in their menu but I fell it's not worth it when you are experienced in a nice place. Although I share my opinions, I still appreciated the chef and waiters made a dinner for us

A near perfect brunch hidden gem in Renton! Anyone can cook some eggs with some kind of pork. Being able to do it well with quality and a high level of craftsmanship is a different story. And that's what you get at PC. Even after hearing the disappointing news that they didn't have either the Cinnamon roll or the dutch baby despite being on their website brunch menu (seasonal) the food was so good, it was forgivable. The ouef plats (pronounced oof!) were delicious, delicate and the perfect balance of flavors. I had the fritata on special, however, with Fontina cheese, mushrooms and sausage and it was also delicious. It is a quaint little spot, tucked away near the Gene Coulton Park, which is even more of a bonus if you've brought your kids like we did. The atmosphere is inviting and charming. I will definitely go back and ask that you don't, so it doesn't get too crowded, thank you. If you do, however go against my advice, just ensure you ask what they are offering so you don't get your hopes let down.

I was just looking up the phone number to call to make reservations and I noticed the restaurant was not 5 star and I am truly shocked...it is a romantic restaurant that has so much care for their food, cocktails and customers.... One server in particular, Julie, always remembers my husbands almond allergy...We even bring our daughters there on their birthdays ( with the kids we try to go earlier) or we go for our anniversary! So many special times celebrated there! The staff cares very much...all of them. The food is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable vs quality! We love this place

When a friend showed me a photo of the eggs benedict she had here, I spent the better part of a morning reading and re-reading the menu and daydreaming about the deliciousness in store for me when I had the chance to visit Peyrassol Cafe. Even the website had me hooked - fresh local ingredients, and an artfully simplistic design. A true Seattle girl, it's not very often that I'll make the trek to Renton first thing in the AM, but this trip was totally worth it. Tucked out of the way along Lake Washington on the ground floor of a recently constructed apartment complex, it's inconspicuous and unpretentious. Also, adorable. The place is pretty small, but classy in a Europe-meets-neighborhood cafe sort of way. We started with organic chocolate mocha's (amazing) and I decided on the Dutch Baby, which turned out to be a piping hot, fluffy, air filled cross between a soufflé and a popover. It's served in a cast iron frying pan fresh out of the oven with a lemon wedge and (real) maple syrup. An interesting combination, I know, but it works in a surprisingly flavorful way. My two friends both got the Ouefs Plats - sort of a mini casserole dish of baked prosciutto, cheese and eggs topped with truffle oil. It was served with a rustic looking toast on the side. The ham was deliciously crisp around the edges and the aroma of the truffle oil when it was delivered to our table nearly took my breath away. Breakfast potatoes were crispy and flavorful. Food was delivered to our table still steaming, and prices were reasonable, given the quality ($7-9ish). Peyrassol, you have lived up to my expectations in every sense and I will gladly drive back to Renton to try everything on your menu!

As you walk in, you are hereby transported to a different dimension, where the decor and seating is fitting for comfort and NOT to increase the number of customers. From detailed wall menus, to a good selection of wine for this quaint cafe; the appeal is that it's local and YOU'RE part of the neighborhood for which this nestled gem serves up, delicious lunches and drinks. They are VERY reasonable, unless you're looking for the happy meal price, then please, you KNOW where to go. The staff is friendly and open minded so NO ONE feels judged or out of place. I'd recommend BLT with soup; mouth watering nom-noms with sizable soup of the day (well stewed) to compliment the texture. Lunch for two, and two cafes, price-fairly reasonable to take a date to impress, or earn browning points with your sweetheart. Looking to see when to take her next ^_*

The salmon and New York strip were blissful... absolutely amazing. Sasha and Scott have something really special here. The flavors, the atmosphere, the people... couldn't be more pleased. Be sure to take home a bottle of the olive oil, and ask Scott to pair a selection from his wine list with your meal... you WON'T be dissapointed. What an experience! New favorite restaurant? Without doubt!

We love this place. The meals we have had have been great. Last week 4 of us dined there. We had 2 orders of seafood crepes and 2 orders of pork cheeks. For Renton it was a bit steep in price-- $150 including tip, and we did share a bottle of red wine. If I were them I would not charge for bread, or jelly. I can see how the other reviews thought that was disappointing when there meal is so pricey and the portions are well, delicate. The owners are great people, I think they should re-think that policy. You always want your guests to leave thinking they got more, not less for their $. But I will continue to dine there and give them top reviews.

I came here with my mom when I was in Renton for work a few weeks ago. She lives in the area and had never heard of this place - which is unfortunate considering how much we enjoyed it! We were one of maybe 3 or 4 tables over the course of the two hours we were there. Our server was fantastic and friendly. He let us take our time and enjoy our food, wine, and each other's company without rushing us through dinner. I had the spring ravioli and it was so good and light and happy. I really enjoyed it. Thank you Perassol!

Pleasantly surprised. The food was interestingly conceived and beautifully plated. Only complaint was the general lack of seasoning (salt and some sort of pepper). Food would have been elevated with just a pinch of both. Price was very reasonable as were portion sizes. Would be glad to go back.

I came here today to try their brunch and it was very good. I had ordered the Quiche and my gf had the Oeufs Plat. It seemed very much like a small French cafe even though we had sat outside to enjoy the sun. The prices were reasonable, but the only thing was the time we had to wait to order was slow due to understaffing. Minus one star. Otherwise a very enjoyable experience. Also this place is a little bit hard to find as you have to drive all the way past the Bristol apartments then look for a small store sign to recognize the cafe.

Peyrassol is intimate and hidden and some of the best food around. My husband and I have been several times. Their beef bourguignon is superb! I called them on a two-day notice to see if they could accommodate our group of 10. They did an outstanding job with family-style eating: cheese plate, salad, pasta, chicken, their famous beef bourguignon, and gelatto for dessert. Excellent service, delicious food, reasonable prices and great atmosphere.

This was the most disappointing yelp find ever. Reviews were great so we went for brunch, thinking we'd found a gem close to our house. Food was ok, ambiance was strange and brunch for two was $90 with tip. Don't mind paying for something excellent but this was just overrated.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got around to it. I went for brunch around opening time and there were three other groups already seated. The server was friendly and knew the menu like the back of her hand. The coffee was excellent...not too strong and not too weak. I went with the frittata and a side of bacon. The bacon was darn near perfect and you could taste how fresh the frittata ingredients were. The meal was a bit expensive but the food and service were worth it.

I would highly recommend the peyrassol if you have not been there. We've always have had really great service when we have gone there and never a bad meal. All of their plates are home made and the quality has always shown through with Northwest Farms sourced on many of there menus. All of the staff is extremely friendly and have a great selection of wines, beer, and spirits for the perfect pairings. A must for all to try!

I've been to Peyrassol several times now and the food is always delicious--fresh and homemade. The location is a little hidden which doesn't bother me and parking is convenient. I understand that profit margins must be tight with a small business, but the last visit to the cafe made me feel like I was being nickeled and dimed for what I would expect to be included. For example, toast came with my dish and when I asked for a little jelly or jam to go with it I was told that would be an extra charge. When I'm already paying $10+ for a dish, it is not a good experience to be charged for jelly. Especially when a couple of our dishes that came with meat were ordered without meat which I would think would save the restaurant some money. Throw a little jelly my way next time without a charge, and I will be a satisfied and happy customer.

It's in an odd location, and we almost drove past it, judging from looks (bad idea, I know!) Relaxing, enjoyable QUALITY dinner. This is a small place, with an owner/operator that clearly cares about food. Local, fresh ingredients abound. I had the beef bourguignon. Very good, however light portion size for the price, I'd say there wasn't more than 3.5 oz on the plate. We came in later in the evening so they may have been almost out. Also had the Oeufs Plats, which was incredible, I could have eaten 3 of those. This is a place to come an enjoy good food at a nice pace. If you are needing to get in and out in 45 minutes to see a movie, I'd avoid. If you are looking for a quality meal, some good wine and a relaxing night, this is the place in Renton.

Well, I'm not sure what I can contribute by offering just another 5 star review of this place, but here goes! I have nothing bad to say about Peyrassol. It is the perfect place for brunch (the French Toast is amazing-- so's the coffee), and the perfect place for lunch. My Boeing coworkers and I love to make the trek out to the café. The service is always incredibly friendly and we are never disappointed with the delicious food. It's not too spendy, either, which is a big plus. Peyrassol is one of those places that I go back to over and over again.

Had oeuf plats(sp?) just awesome. Eggs Benny great. Latte excellent. What's not to like. Will repeat for sure. Service great. Parking worked out. Although it may be easier to park at coulon park and walk half a block.

A pretty good dinner option, located in the Bristol Apartments complex, right under the late afternoon shadow cast by the Boeing 737 plant. Next door is Coulon Park, right at the southernmost tip of mammoth Lake Washington. The pork cheeks (one of the daily specials) were absolutely amazing - Incredibly tender, almost like duck confit. Actually, all our dishes were well-prepared. Though the menu is mighty svelte, the prices are quite low, with entrees topping out at no more than $15. Ambience was only fair. The restaurant had a feel of the office space that used to be there. And despite the fact that, as everybody knows, Seattle never had a summer this year, the air inside Peyrassol was hot and stuffy. We ignored it for the longest time, but when we were having dessert we finally mentioned it to our server. She indicated it had been like this all summer (what summer?) but there's was nothing they could do about it because the AC was inadequate, and that somehow, opening the doors only made it worse. Still, she opened a nearby door for us anyway. A cool breeze from off the lake began rolling through the door, and it felt like sheer bliss. There are about ten tables in the restaurant and on a Friday evening they were all quickly filled. Our server was quite knowledgeable and she was as responsive as she could be with a heavy table load. But we would have liked to have had more attention. Penny went with a Bordeaux red ($8) and I had a martini ($10) made with Hendrick's gin and Cointreau. Bonus points for having both liquors in the bar. For starters, we went with the summer hash, tomato bisque and roasted olives. The hash (made with two types of corn, onion and finely chopped green pepper) was delicious. The tomato bisque also was excellent. I liked the dark olives, which had been seasoned with garlic and thyme. Penny had the boeuf bourguignon, even though that seemed more like a winter dish. It was very good and came with a nice sauce. The polenta cake that came with it was perfect. My pork cheeks were made with beer and cider and came with bacon bits and sautéed cabbage. There was only two desserts available: caramel ice cream brownie or a sundae topped with cherries. Though I'm not a fan of caramel I went with Option 1 because I don't do cherries ever. The excellent moist and chocolate-y brownie was really a cupcake and it was piping hot from the oven. The caramel ice cream was very likeable. Oh, I had my first ruby port ($8) tonight. I do believe I like it as much as tawny port. Parking is scarce in the area. The thought of paying for parking in Renton is ridiculous, to say the least, so we ignored the nearby Diamond parking lot. The fact is that there is a nearby covered garage with free two hour parking you can use if you don't find any parking in front of the building.

This place is a little hidden gem. The service is always stellar! The dining room is casual, but still feels special and upscale. I love their Saturday brunch. The oeufs plats is my favorite dish. So simple, yet so good! We also love their seasonal specials. They had a tomato tuna frittata once that was delicious!

Good food, horrible service. We've been to Peyrassol Cafe a few times and have always enjoyed the food. Tonight, when we walked in, we were not acknowledged and we didn't receive a warm welcome. Ok, no big deal, I can ignore that. However, as the night went on, we just experienced horrible service. Our food took a VERY long time to arrive, at least 30 minutes. When it did arrive, we need some salt and pepper, it took another 5 minutes for us to flag down a waiter. When it came to closing out, it also took another 10 minutes to flag down the waiter to get our bill. I understand that there may be busy nights, the restaurant was half full, but I could see that they didn't have enough staff. It would be acceptable if the server at least acknowledged us or stopped by to check in on us, but he never did. I don't think we will ever be back. Although the food is good and the ambience is cute, it's not worth poor service and the price. I have to say, charging $1.50 per person for a slice of bread that is 1/4 inch thick is ridiculous!!! Save your money and head over to Wild Fin, Melrose Grill, or one of the other restaurants in the area. The owner seemed to be in a bad mood or not in a friendly state of mind and that ran across the entire restaurant tonight. Not sure why, but he did not acknowledge us as we waited to be seated. Very strange.

I like to walk along lake Wa blvd, thru the Coulon park, hear whispering of autumn leafes, breathing in crispness of the steele air and stopping at the Peyrassol for an elegant brunch. We visited here for brunch on Sunday. We loved this place! Talk about a tucked away mystery location in the middle of nowhere. In what looks like an apartment building parking lot, there's this cute little restaurant. Even from the outside, my girlfriend said it didn't look like a place to eat, maybe just coffee. Once inside, it was totally impressive. Tasteful artwork, cute little wine displays, and a small seating area for the restaurant. Plenty of room around each table so you don't feel crowded. The food was great. It had a small menu, but each item (we ordered all of them with our group) was unique and tastefully done. I had the Ouefs Plats which was particularly awesome. We totally plan to visit again if we're in the area.

My husband and I came here for brunch today with a couple of our friends and just fell inlove with the quaint and loving space! Ok, so the space is one thing.. (fine parking, nice neighborhood next to the water) but the food was amaaaazing. We started out with bloody mary's (yum~and strong!), shared the hot cinnamon brioche rolls straight out of the oven (I recommend these HIGHLY) and proceeded to order our brunch! Coffee is wonderful here, too. They use Caffe Umbria! Hubby and the 2 others had the Oueff Plats, which are 2 free-range eggs cracked over prosciutto and beecher's flagship cheese baked in the oven, then drizzled with white truffle oil and I had the dutch babies which were perfectly sweet and not overdone. This place is perfect for brunch or a light lunch.... I am looking forward to coming back and trying their dinner/dessert with accompanying wine list!

Great place to go if you're bored with the norm. A very nice quality meal and super staff. Just make sure the credit card has some room on it, they aren't inexpensive. I love that it's an easy walk from our condo.

There's certainly quite a bit going for this place that ends up lying firmly in the realms of "has potential". It's oh-so-cute, and brings to town the French bistro vibe that takes you a little further away from the corporate-laden bubblegum pop of The Landing. While a little out of the way, all things considered, the lakeside location peering into the Boeing assembly line has it's own little Northwest charm. Let's talk the good. I was out for a birthday lunch with my mom, and we sat over by a large window with light streaming onto our spacious table. The place was cool and quiet as we called out our dishes. I had to try the oeuf plats of course, while we also called out a soup and sandwich combo, roast beef and a carrot tomato soup. It all seemed quite promising (not to mention nicely priced). Well, the food was decently tasty, but somehow failed to live up to the expectations I had in my head for these dishes to really taste like. The center of the egg maybe should have been warm and creamy and inching towards custardy as it leaked out, but unfortunately it was rather hard and just sat on the toasted bread provided with the dish. The Beecher's flagship and prosciutto were wonderful, but the egg, the centerpiece just inched off of where maybe it should have been. The soup I expected to have a deep, rich flavor, but it tasted rather muchly like pureed tomato, with none of the creamy, luxurious mouthfeel I craved to balance the sandwich. The sandwich itself was bread, romaine, and roast beef. Each element was nice and fresh, but resulted in more or less an uninspired sandwich. Overall it was decent, I would go back again certainly. Each of the dishes was a nice rendition of what it wanted to be. But there's so much more potential here! If everything was just kicked up that one more notch, this place could be stunning.

Super cute italian/french cafe tucked away at Coulon! Who would've guessed? I've seen signs for this place off I-5 but thought nothing of it...until a foodie friend of mine says it was one of the best places she's ever eaten! So I had to check it out. I went with a friend for lunch and it was great! The server was this cute little french/italian girl who knew her stuff! Their coffee (Umbria) was awesome iced. My friend ordered the Ouefs Plats and it was good (hard to tell there was cheese in it though, but the truffle oil made it yummy!) and I had the sandwich special of the day, the Italian Bolognia Sandwich. It was good! Both meals were about $7-9/each so not too bad. And I see they serve dinner, can't wait to go back for a fun date night on the waterfront in Renton!

I had the best experience at PC. The food and service was excellent. This restaurant was the host of my second date and we came in for lunch. Our server, Kristy, was awesome, super friendly, and knowledgeable. I ordered the ouef plats, while my date had a pastrami sandwich, both of which were super delicious. The music that was playing wasn't too loud and really set the mood for PC (40's jazz!). I also loved the décor including the blown glass ceiling light decoration. Overall, everything was spectacular and we'll definitely be back again soon!

You walk through the doors and leave Renton for a Bistro along the French-Italian border! Small yet quiet, refined yet simple - I LOVE this place!!! It can be a challenge to find, but well worth the effort. Tables are spaced far enough apart for quiet conversations. Service is very good. Menu is limited, but even so it is hard to decide what to have. The house salad is a wonderful mix of greens and pecans with the perfect amount of dressing and salt to bring out the flavors yet not leave things soggy or overly salted and without the need to add cheese like in so many restaurants today. The ravioli were light and perfectly cooked and sauced. So glad we got the bread service to sop up the extras. Portions are small, but flavors are rich and it is nice to enjoy an exquisite meal without feeling stuffed. One of my favorite restaurants!

I've been to Peyrassol twice now. Once a couple years ago for brunch and once a few nights ago with my family including my grandma who is from out of town. The food & service at Peyrassol is great. It's everything you'd expect from a downtown Seattle cafe w/o the pretense or prices. An absolute jewel in Renton. Too bad more people don't know about it...or maybe those of in the know should just keep it to ourselves.

Peyrassol Cafe offers the complete dining experience. From service to the food, and everything in between is outstanding. This is an owner operated cafe, with great character! Offering a rotating menu of fine cuisine. I have been for brunch and dinner, and was WOW'd each time. I will certainly be back again and again!!!

We have a new favorite restaurant! We went to Peyrassol on the strength of the reviews we saw on Yelp, and we were not dissapointed. Alas, we forgot (again) to take pictures. It is a bit hard to find, especially in the dark. Having been forewarned of this (from Yelpers), we took pains in advance to look it up on a couple of map programs and also used our GPS system as we drove there. This helped us find it, but if we hadn't looked at the map in advance, we may have never found it. I would recommend that the restaurant spring for a more prominent sign placed on the main road that is lit and easily visible after dark. But this was truly the only negative aspect of our experience this evening. Pretty minor, to be honest. We didn't have a reservation, but we were seated right away. Most of the tables were seated but since there are only about 10 or so tables, and they're spaced fairly far apart, it seemed quiet and intimate. The service was just right all the way through. We started with the cheese board. We chose 3 cheeses, as well as candied pecans, house pickles (made from endive), and kumquat marmalade. They were all really good. My husband ordered the Beouf Bourguignon, and he loved it. Incredibly tender beef, delicious sauce, and the polenta cake was exceptional... it was fluffy and tender, not dense and mushy like usual. I ordered a special: Kurobuta Pork Shank, braised in ale, served with au jus and apple-fennel bread pudding. It too was delicious -- incredibly tender and succulent pork, flavorful jus, and yummy bread pudding. We also ordered the Brussesl Sprouts Hash with currants and pine nuts. I fell in love with this dish. Hubby got the warm brownie sundae with salted caramel sauce, and he ate every morsel. He commented that the caramel had just the right amount of saltiness, unlike many times when salted caramel is too salty in his opinion. I ordered an apple-almond tart with pear-caramel sauce and vanilla gelato. This was scrumptious... the apples were cooked just enough -- still slightly al dente -- and the sliced almonds on top seemed to be slightly candied, and a tiny bit salty. The pear caramel sauce was dreamy. We are definitely coming back, probably on a regular basis. This is a real gem! It offers a high caliber of food, yet you can be very casually dressed as we were. And what a blessing not to have to go all the way in to Seattle or Bellevue for a nice french restaurant. I hope Peyrassol stays here for a long, long time!

This gem called Peyrassol cafe at Southport is tucked away between the apartment (Bristol I) and coulon park. I had the Ouefs Plats & chai latte on a sunny Saturday morning. The Ouefs Plats had blown me away! It was done perfectly - taste, portion and temperature! They served cafe Umbria coffee which I like too :) The only thing is that their service is sort of slow as it seems like they are short staffed. Anyway, be prepared to be blown away by their yummi food if you have some spare time to chill and devour the food there! P.S. this cafe is closed on both Sunday and Monday :(

I went in for a Mocha. It tastes ok but not fantastic and I cannot justify paying $6.04 after tax for a 16oz soy mocha in Seattle/Renton. I will, however, probably return for food.

Worth trying to find it - the Pappardelle in Sugo di Finferli my wife had was excellent event the morning after. I had the BeefBourguignon which was just as good but alas no leftovers. We also had a cup of the lentil soup - very crisp clean flavors. So it took us a couple of extra minutes to find it, and it is unpretentious in the bottom of the apartments but it is worth going to. We will be back again, and especially if we are in the area. Great neighborhood gem that should be supported.

My husband and I have happily visited this tiny little spot a few times and enjoyed it thoroughly. I'm an egg fiend and loved the Ouefs Plats. The dining area is small but nicely spaced out. Service is normally decent and I love that they take advantage of local ingredients to build the menu. The menu is small but delicious, as are the portions. Busy location with not the best parking available but definitely worth stopping in, even if just for a brownie to go. I'm going to try the Lakeside Manhattan on my next visit.

Very friendly staff, good solid, interesting food. The food itself is about 4 stars, very good, but I reserve 5 stars for heart-stopping food, and while excellent, it's just not there. They have handmade pasta, which is excellent, but my wife felt that it could have been more bold and flavorful. My steak was excellent quality, perfectly cooked, but was a touch small. You get the drift. But it is imaginative French cuisine, which for the price, service, and location (or lack of competition around Renton) bump the overall rating to a 5. They've done a good job in a very awkward space (the place looks like it was supposed to be a starbucks or something. Peyrassol isn't cheap, but has French cuisine that typically goes for $10-15 more. Also appreciated was that we brought our 5 month old, and there was plenty of room for the stroller and the diners were far enough apart to not feel cramped.

We went to Peyrassol cafe strictly based on yelp revues. The restaurant is Very small and hard to find. It is a total hole in the wall. There is only about ten tables in the entire place. The menu is very small as well. We had there freshly made bread which was yummy. Ordered there soup, which was tomato lentil. The soup was disappointing and we didn't finish it. My fiancé had the beef and I had the chicken. Both were tasty buy the portions were very small. Perfect for myself but my fiancé did have to grab a burger after because he was still hungry. His dish was very rich in flavor and delicious just very small portions. All in all I would say this place is ok, nothing amazing. Don't think we would return.

My girlfriend and I wanted to end our long work week with some good food and "mature" atmosphere for winding down and catching up. I thought of this place as I've always seen the sign off the exit but have never had the chance to make it in. What a perfect opportunity I thought. Came for dinner and it was a bit challenging to find. Missed the first turn and ended up in the Coulon Beach parking lot. Went back out and turned in towards the Bristol apt complex and found it a bit ways in. Wish they had a sign right at the turn. Anyway, parking was a bit tricky as well. Dark so couldn't really tell where I could park but there is a nice garage before the restaurant that is available to customers. I knew it was going to be delicious when even before I arrived to the front door, I could smell the aroma of delicious food! As we made our way to the front door, I was a little intimidated since the place was nearly full and we went sans reservations. At the door, there was a couple before us and what looked like a waiting list. The hostess greeted us with a warm sincere smile and said she wasn't sure if they had a seating but she'd take a look around. 2 minutes later, she seated us! What a delight - a wall full of wine and an intimate atmosphere for 2 or a small group. The vibe was great - a few couples and a couple of tables of bigger parties. The waiters and waitresses were busy and serving quickly but pleasantly smiling the whole time indicating they were happy to be there. Good sign. I ordered the crab ravioli and my friend ordered the lamb/beef meatballs. We both had 2 choices we had to make up our minds on which is also a good indicator I could be back I thought. I started off with a vesper and my friend was offered a non alcoholic blood orange pelligrini. My vesper was a bit too much on the floral side - either too much gin or lillet. A bit disappointing. Bread service was $1per person. We started off with a cheese plate with homemade marlamade which was delicious and refreshing. Our entrees came piping hot. Her meatballs were flavorful and my ravioli was delicate stuffed with dungeoness crab. Sauce was delicious as well - not too thick/creamy. We shared a rice pilaf which was just OK. Dessert was the stuffed pastry with cognac drizzle which could've been easily shared among two people as it comes in a plate of 3. She ordered a chocolate cake topped with ice cream and caramel which really hit the spot as well. 2 drinks, 2 bread servings, 2 appetizers/sides, 2 entrees came to $77.77. Not terribly expensive for dinner and for the great service. They left a carafe of water and refilled our glasses prior to leaving the carafe for us. Smiles throughout the night made the experience better and even on our way out, the manager bid us a good night. I'll definitely be back for dinner and with the numerous rave reviews for brunch, I imagine I'll be back for that as well. Highly recommend if you're in the area. 'Something you'd find in downtown but right in my own neighborhood!

No wonder Peyrassol is a favorite spot-exclusivity of having your very own cafe right under your apartment. Even the blonde waitress was real friendly, complimenting me on my hair being nice. When I asked my male friend whether she was into women, he laughed. Had dinner last night at Peyrassol, Cafe at Southport: renowned family of chefs with their own little nook away from commercial traffic (the cafe is part of the apartment complex). This little closet is always crowded, and I always wondered why until I stepped in there...their boeuf bourguignon, poulet a l'Ail, Oeufs Plats with white truffle oil, and burnt caramel gelato made on the premises was delicious! Service is wonderful too, and nobody is snooty, which helps.

This place was great. We came in with no reservation and they took care of us right away. Amazing food, amazing service. Great wine list.

What a great find! We ordered most of what the menu had to offer and everyone enjoyed there meal. The menu is limited but has enough variety to please most palates. We had excellent service. The rosemary lemon drops were delicious. Our waiter had great recommendations for champagne and wine. I look forward to trying there brunch soon. Another great addition to the Renton family of good eats!

I had lunch here the other day and it was fantastic! The eggs were outstanding and so was the dessert. I will be back for dinner soon.

This place is so amazing, and such a cute little cafe. I had talked to the owner previously about getting a part-time job and she was super friendly about it. I came here for breakfast and ordered the breakfast sandwich, and my dad ordered the specialty pasta of the day. All the ingredients are completely local, and the pasta was made from scratch. I was blown away from this place. I will definitely come here again someday.

The food is excellent, atmosphere is quaint, yet as not as romantic as the amazing food and wine selection warrants. Our waiter Edward was friendly, knowledgeable and paired us with the perfect wine for our meal.

what a cute place! food and coffee are very good, but coffee is a bit on the expensive side. service can also be a little slow (i work nearby and try to go on my lunch break), but then again it's not a fast food place. also dog friendly :)!

We just had our 50th wedding anniversary and we picked Peyrassol for the place to be. What a wonderful evening. Special menu and lots of fun. Great service and as always the most wonderful food. Thank you to the chef and staff for making our anniversary memorable. / Sharon and Harley

Great brunch of duch baby pancake, oueff platt (eggs over ham) and some golden potatoes. Quality over quantity is definitely true here. Great service.

Went here with a group for a birthday based on Yelp reviews. Liked the atmosphere, but parking was tough (can park for 2 hours free in the nearby garage, but that ended up rushing dinner, as our waitor had quite a bit of confusion filling orders). The food was good, but the portions were very tiny for the price, and not quite as advertised on the menu (bread was unexpectedly substituted for polenta, which didn't work for those of us who were gluten intolerant). Everyone in my large party that had dessert said it was fantastic, but there were no non-dairy or non-wheat selections, so some of us had to skip. Gave it a shot, but will go elsewhere next time.

This place is lovely. It's small, maybe about 15 tables including the sidewalk and the food is exquisite. I've been their twice is the past two weeks with hubby and mom-n-law and I can't say enough about it. The first night I asked them to make a noodle dish vegetarian and they were very accommodating. My mom-n-law was raving about the lamb shank and my hubby was thrilled with the roasted chicken, which was so tender it just fell off the bone. The second time we went about a week later they had changed to their summer menu, so I got goat cheese ravioli in a light butter and lemon sauce. It was pure heaven. And the desserts are a must try. They are not too big and not miniscule and so very tasty. Give this place a try, it's definitely worth the time.

Peyrassol Cafe is one of those places I wish I had found sooner so I could have been there so many more times ... a quaint little cafe serving amazing food ... real food, with real ingredients, prepared really well! It has a bit of a european feel as you walk in and are immediately alongside the kitchen, greeted by the owners, a couple who seem genuinely devoted to serving interesting, high quality dishes. The first few times I couldn't order anything but the Oeufs Plat (amazing, unique, a wonderful blend of flavors) so the last time I went for dinner I forced myself to order something different. I ordered the fettuccine con gorgonzola e noci ... once again an incredible blend of flavors with fresh, quality ingredients. Very tasty and not overloaded with sauce, salt, or any other cheap flavors ... perfect! My guy has loved all the soups de jour and I think the house salad is an exceptional starter, made just right! I can't wait to work my way through the menu. My only concern is the location as I'm hopeful that this place is wildly successful. Parking is a challenge particularly for the first-timer. Find the Bristol Apartments next to Coulon Park, drive past the lobby of the first building and turn right into the parking garage (2 hrs free), exit the parking garage, turn right and walk to the next Bristol building.

No way to start the New Year. My wife and I went there for a fixed menu New Year's Eve 2011. We were very excited about the menu and to finally have a high quality culinary experience in Renton. We are "Foodies." The Wine pairing was fine, the food was very good, however the plating was messy. The server said there was a timeing thing between my wife's salmon entreee and my lamb entree and that they would not come at the same time, the salmon coming first. I didn't like that ,but I lived with it. Cut to the end, I never received my lamb. My wife finally asked the bus boy about my entree. Our server said she thought I was a fast eater and had already eaten my lamb, but she never verified this. The owner, Scott, was very nice and did what he thought was the right thing, by removing the wine from our bill. He wanted us to not hold this screw up against the restaurant. The owner mentioned to us that this had never happened before, and I believe him, but he should have questioned the reason for the extra portion of lamb, in the kitchen since the entree choice had to be reserved when we made our reservations . The owner should also have insured our return to the restaurant, if he really wanted us to revise our opinion based on this first negative experience.

The single best thing about Renton. If the entire city burned down and this was the only place that was left, that would be ok by me. First off, I love that it's small and cozy. This is as far from pretentious that you can get. The food is amazing. I've been for dinner and lunch many times and I've never been disappointed. You must try the beef bourguignon and the oeuf plat. Like old friends, I come back to those two time and time again. The duck is also pretty amazing. The cocktails are fantastic and the wine list is pretty good too. The only thing that I'd change is their hours. I wish they'd open for brunch Saturday and Sunday, but I suppose it's better for my waist line that they aren't.

You have to try this place! We've visited several times, with kids, without kids and each time has been a wonderful visit. The oefs plats are great as is the boef bourginon. The desserts are very tasty. A great little cafe serving French foods is worth a visit.
