Taqueria Los Amigos Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Stopped by with my family: they all had tacos, which were really yummy, but I was craving huevos rancheros. I was underwhelmed: the sauce was pretty bland, and the tortillas had been grilled, which I love, but got pretty soft under the eggs, so it was all kind of one-note. Disappointing, but not dishearteningly so.

If you like real authentic tacos this place is where it's at. My husband and I moved to Bonney Lake from Renton where there are plenty of authentic taquerias. We were really missing our favorite spot in Renton until we discovered this place. Their taco plate is great. Full of flavor and the standard toppings of chopped onion and cilantro. I prefer the carne asada but the chicken and carnitas are also just as good depending on your preference. They also have a great tostada salad. On a nice sunny evening or weekend this place is busy because it's so good. They do have a phone so you can call ahead and order which is a good idea on the busy days. The truck is actually a bus that has been outfitted with bar seating and a full kitchen. It does get cold in the seating area on chilly days because the door is usually getting opened often. The cashier is always nice and the food doesn't take too long to come out. Everything tastes fresh and is made to order. They also have two other truck locations including Bonney Lake and Federal Way. Two thumbs up for a taqueria.

I love this taco truck. The food is delicious and the people are so nice. I absolutely love their hot sauce and their horchata. The best part? They are right next to a gas station that has a patio that you can drink beer on! The gas station serves you out the back door while eating the mexi-bus food. While drinking a Rainier and eating a quesadilla on the porch attached to the gas station, I realized I might be a redneck :) Nonetheless, this place kicks a**.

This place just hit the spot...we've recently moved from out of state and have been looking for authentic Mexican food...this place has surpassed all my expectations I told my husband I'm coming back and will try every item they have in their menu!!! I had the 5 taco special with beef and topped it with their house made salsa and guacamole sauce....AMAZING!!!!!

  • Wesley F.

I can't think of a better place to go on a sunny day when you're feeling like tacos! The biggest problem you'll have to deal with is which salsa you like more!

Holy guacamole this place is fantastic! It is the culinary heart of South Hill for sure. If you like great fresh authentic Mexican, you will literally find nothing better than this place anywhere around. Where do I start? Well one thing is for sure, if you go during dinner without calling in your order first, be prepared for a crowd and a lengthy wait either inside or outside the bus. This is no complaint against them at all, the food is just so good that there is always a crowd there around lunch and diner, especially on weekends. The place is an old greyhound type bus, gutted and refitted with counters, seating, a full kitchen, and even a flat screen that always plays telenovelas; it is wonderful. The food is great, the tacos are amazing little bites from heaven, I prefer the 5 taco plate of either spicy pork or carnitas, comes with a drink too for like 5 bucks! Dollar tacos, just like in Tijuana! The carne asada burrito is mind melting, pour a little splash of their house hot sauce onto every bite and it is like a flavor explosion in your mouth. The staff is friendly but all about business, the seating is kinda cramped inside but the novelty of the bus is worth it, otherwise there is outdoor seating as well, a lot of it! I've seen the whole place filled to the brim several times, and with good reason...because it is Mexican heaven. Go here right away, go right in the morning to get the breakfast burrito with bacon, the rest if your day will be so much better if you do!

This place is dynamite! I had the shredded beef tacos - lean- superbly prepared' Everything was fresh and prepared on site. Service was fast, pleasant and efficient. The other entrées were also very attractive and the quantities are generous. The salsa and condiments are fresh and spicy and are the perfect compliment to the cuisine. Go there! Eat there! Enjoy!!

  • Danielle G.

I ate here with co-workers on my lunch break and thought it was amazing. I was skeptical to try something off a bus. But it was authentic and delicious. The salsa was great. 5 tacos and a drink for 7.00. Can't beat that! Will be returning again for sure!

  • K H.

Didn't think we'd find a Taqueria in Puyallup, let alone a decent one. This was amazing! Much better than our usual haunts. We ordered 5 tacos with spicy pork and 5 tacos with shredded beef. The spicy pork wasn't too spicy and the beef was nice and tender. A little lime and some green sauce and we dug in. So good we ordered another 10 to go! Seating is limited and outside can smell due to the surrounding area but that's what happens when you're parked by a gas station. Still can't beat this Taco bus!!

  • Joseph E.

Good food all around, the carne asada burrito is one of the best I've had... Tacos are good and so are the tortas. Definitely a place to eat Mexican food in the north west :P

  • Tanya L.

Yummy! Love the taco plate as well as Steak Rancheros, so delicious.

  • Michael G.

We have visited the bus on several occasions and tried a variety of their dining options. To date we have enjoyed everything we have eaten. The food is fresh and tasty. Highly recommended if your craving great Mexican cuisine served from a bus.

We love going to the Taco Bus for a great lunch or just something quick to grab on the go. My family and I have eaten here several times throughout the years and it's always good. Being from Az it was hard to found good fresh authentic Mexican food and its 1 of the only places in Puyallup that servers horchata and Jarmica to drink. Hard to turn into if it's really busy on Meridian but if you can find a way in it's worth the trouble. And if there's a certain burrito and the menu that contains more or less of something you like the lady who takes your order is more than welling to change items inside.

  • Teresa D.

This place is awesome although wait times can be a bit long. Best Mexican Food in Puyallup!

    (4)
  • Darrell D.

Holy hell! so I am very skeptical of food trucks but good lord this food is amazing! so I didn't even finish the first order and literally turned around in Meridian rush hour traffic to get more. Enough said. Shredded beef is perfectly seasoned without the grease and oil. Spicy pork has a kick but not overly hot just the right bite. and I do not like spicy food.

    (5)
  • William G.

Authentic street tacos and taqueria style food.best in Puyallup! Unfortunately seating is limited. They have outdoor seating but does not work so well in the winter or during periods of inclement weather. That's their own my downfall. They can be very busy at times and you will have to wait outside or order from the window outside.

    (4)
  • Yadira M.

Frigging amazingEST little joint ever! Must try. Great deals on everything. The only downside is that its outside and kind of chilly but its worth it. The "cabeza" tacos have sauce on the unlike other places but they're pretty good :-)

  • Lawrence W.

What a great taco bus. Good environment, good food, great service. The meats were a little dry, but the flavorings were great. Recommended by a friend, and so shall we recommend other friends.

Best Mexican I've had since leaving Los Angeles. My wife and I both moved here from L.A. and I used to brag to her about getting to have good Mexican food when I would fly back down for business trips. If there's one thing we don't like about living up here it's the lack of Mexican food. Eventually, we moved to Puyallup and, holy shit, we found good Mexican food. I've tried just about everything on the menu and it's all good. From tacos to carnitas to the lengua torta. That's right. Lengua fuckin' torta. So good. The bus can fill up pretty fast so if you're looking for a seat you might be stuck outside. We generally call ahead and pick it up to-go. Look at all these reviews for this place from people who lived in Southern California and you'll see this is the place to go. And, please, try the lengua!

  • Teresa H.

This place honestly suprised me.Being new in town,it took me a while to find it.But O so glad I did!!!I ordered 3 beef tacos, not only were they fresh and stuffed with delicious ingredients, but seriously tasty tacos! This is my new favorite place.Staff was very friendly.

  • Joseph H.

Ok so I'm just gonna say this. If u want real non corporate Mexican food this is da spot. Best Mexican food I've ever had and I also lived a hour north of Mexico for 5yrs. This place beats anything I've ever ate in SoCal. Come here weekly

    (5)
  • Will R.

Love the food! She even made me a specialty item that was not on the menu!

    (5)
  • Abigail G.

I go here at least once a week every week, if not more. The best tacos you will find in all of Puyallup! And I can't even begin to describe how amazing everything tastes. Authentic Mexican food! Absolutely love this place!

    (5)
  • Mary R.

My family loves this truck. We go here every time we are in south hill. The five tacos for five bucks is where it is at!!! My kid loves the hot red salsa! He says they are the BOMB!!! We highly recommended the carne asada and the adobada! Oh yeah and the above deal comes w a soda. For those of us like my son live on the hotter side of the taste bud!!!

    (5)
  • jessica g.

Amazing food, authentic Mexican. Very reasonable prices, and friendly service!! You can't find a bad item on the menu. Also try the horchata! Yum, I would eat here several times a week if my budget and waist line would allow it.

    (5)
  • Rick S.

Best beef burrito in the 253 period! And oh my goodness, if your a fan of breakfast burritos then this will fill you up big time. So many meats, ham, bacon chorizo and potatoes too! Oh heck yes. Get a big orange juice from the gas station next door and your good to go :)

    (5)
  • Jessica T.

One of my favorites by far. I've been coming here for a long time, and the food has always been amazing. Great service also.

I just found my new favorite taco place. The food was delicious , have good portions, and great price. Service was fast.

    (5)
  • Kimberly S.

Love getting food here, absolutely delicious but in no way is it acceptable to wait 35minutes for TWO breakfast burritos. Not worth the wait when I can find another taco bus that will give prompt service and still produce good food.

    (3)
  • Dan W.

This is our favorite Mexican food in Puyallup. It is a food truck so the atmosphere is lacking but there is outdoor seating in the summer that is nice. I have never been disappointed in anything we have ordered here. The price is right as well at less than $7 for most plates.

    (4)
  • Jessamine S.

The absolute best! Took the family to try it out, winner!! I'm from Cali and always on the hunt for real Mexican food and I found it!!!!

    (5)
  • Blaine V.

We went here on cinco de mayo and had the carnitas tacos. I guess we'll have to go on another not-so-busy day cuz they were dry and not good at all. Small portions of dry meat on dried out tortillas. I felt ripped off

  • Janae O.

Cheap..good and fast! Been looking for a good taco truck this one just happens to be in a building. Will be back soon!

  • Bree M.

Best food! Love this place! Their 5 mini tacos are my favorite! Love their hot sauce and the people are really nice. All my friends love this place too I would recommend it for anyone who wants some good authentic Mexican food.

  • Jon H.

The only real Mexican food! I can find in the north west :) The tacos on point!!! The burritos makes me feel like I'm in California again!!!

I'm on a BUS!! if you only read one line of this review know this ...THE RESTAURANT IS ON A BIG WHITE BUS!! I didn't read the reviews, I only looked at the STAR rating. I got the directions and still drove by it about 3 times. We are from Tacoma and had no prior knowledge of this place. My wife was a little hesitant but one thing I've learned about food is you can't judge a book by its cover (personally I thought the ambience was awesome! Mexican food and Mexican football. How do you say ambience in Spanish?) The food was pretty good but not the best I've had. My wife had the beef something or other that was a bit chewy and I had some average chicken enchiladas. Their hot sauce and ceviche are excellent however. I want to come back and try something else.

    (3)
  • Mike B.

Amazing tacos!!! 5 tacos and a Pepsi for 5.99 can't beat that. Had the asada, pollo and alpastor tacos. Will be coming here everytime I'm in Puyallup!

    (5)
  • Angelica H.

tacos & salsas were very good, will be going back to try everything on the menu. Very friendly staff.

    (5)
  • Sabrina J.

Best bean and cheese burritos in town! My husband and I enjoy this one and the one they own in Bonney lake!

    (4)
  • Sherri M.

Best Taco bus in the area. Clean.fast service. Large portions.employees are so friendly. Brings back memories of San Diago Calif.

    (5)
  • Katie S.

Best Taco Truck around the area, in my opinion. So affordable and great food! Haven't been disappointed yet. Im in love with the spicy camarones dish!

  • Mike T.

Breakfast Burritos from a Taco Bus! Does it get any better than this? This place is great and they have really quality ingredients as well as the usual amazing dishes served up in great Mexican Restaurants. I love this place and it's a must stop every time we are on the West Coast in the Seattle area.

    (5)
  • Don P.

This place is the real deal! They have all of the authentic cuts of meat (my favorite is the tongue tacos!!)

    (5)
  • Ivan H.

This place is awesome! Great food! Just like what I grew up with. It's very hard to find authentic. This place is legit! This place will become a regular for me! :-)

  • dustin g.

We decided to treat ourselves after a long week and knowing that this place has inside seating, we drove up, hoping it wouldn't be busy. We were lucky and found just a couple of people eating along one side of the bus. We ordered the burrito plate and a drink and had our order in just a few minutes. The sauce was pretty sweet, but overall it was pretty damn tasty. It did end up getting a little busy as we left, which made for some shuffling at one point, but nothing, normal people can't deal with. We like this place.

    (4)
  • Chelsea W.

Loved it! I got the enchiladas! Loved how they were cooked and perfectly flavored! Can't wait to go back! :-)

    (5)
  • Jessica L.

Yum!! We love coming to get the beef carne asada tacos & a coca cola in a glass bottle :-) Yes, its a bus on the side of the road. Made me a little nervous--but its the best authentic mexican food around. You know when your in an authentic restaurant when you walk in and everybody eating there is Mexican. Feels a little weird having 10 Mexican guys staring at you as you walk up..but hey-- nothing wrong with a little mid day flattering :-) Onions..cilantro..fresh salsa..grilled beef skirt steak on a hand made corn tortilla.. quadrouple yum! Love the rice they serve with it. The flavors, the service is top notch. Def stop by in your in town- you wont be sorry!

  • Melissa G.

So yummy! My husband and I were struggling to find a tasty taco truck on this side of town (we used to frequent one in Lacey off of exit 114 and it was great) and this place is even better. Food is fresh, delicious and reasonable priced for the quality.

    (5)
  • Harmoni W.

Awesome food, and very reasonable price! Prompt and friendly service. I can't enough of this place. Will be back very soon.

Just moved work location to Puyallup from Tacoma. My co-workers & I wanted some legit Mexican food like this & we found this place online. I called ahead & ordered to go since we had a big order. I asked for extra hot sauce & jalapenos, the server was very nice & gave me enough of everything I asked for. Everyone liked the food, which we ordered tacos, tortas, & quesadillas, it was one of the best food trucks I have been too, since I have been to quite a few & I have pretty high standards. They were fulfilled. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because my order was called in & even arrived later than she told me & still was not fully ready. Other than that this a good food truck to go to, a little far from my work place but if I am around there next time I will be back.

  • Douglas H.

After checking out the reviews my wife and I decided to grab a quick lunch at the bus. We were not disappointed. The burritos are big, the meat was great, the sauces were delish. The best part was getting a great meal for $11. It is nice to find a place that we really enjoy the food that is fast and cheap on South Hill.

    (5)
  • Michelle C.

This place is pretty good. I wouldn't call this "the best Mexican food" in Puyallup. I'm originally from Southern California (San Diego) Mexican food truly is THE BEST! They have a couple of specials, not too bad in price. It's small inside, but they have tables outside the bus. Overall, the staff is super friendly, and who wouldn't want to eat tacos on a bus?

    (3)
  • Lauren B.

This is real Mexican. I've never had authentic Mexican food before so I was a little nervous. It was super delicious. Everyone in my family liked it. Even my 17 month old. There's a few seats in the bus but basically you're eating in you're car or it's take out unless it's summertime.

    (5)
  • Jennie R.

Oh my gosh. Their tacos. Oh my gosh. I moved here from California 11 months ago and have been to quite a few Mexican restaurants in search of a mouth watering street taco. Every one of them was disappointing. Then I heard about the taco bus on Meridian and I could've slapped myself for missing it all this time. Their tacos are divine! It's like being back at home. They're street tacos that I have been looking for. It feels like I've been reunited with a lost friend. I had the carne asada, carnitas and the lengua and they were all so delicious. The beans and rice were good, too. I'll definitely be going back to try everything else on the menu. Maybe not all in one sitting, but if everything else is as good as the tacos were, I anticipate many evenings of over eating.

    (5)
  • Sara P.

BEST. TACO. BUS. EVER. Hands down. And it's on an actual bus. Still, there are counters and stools to sit and eat, as well as outdoor seating for sunny days. The staff is always very friendly and their homemade hot sauce in the squirt bottles is a must-have on your tacos. I get the 5-taco special, which always way too much food, but I force myself to finish, out of pure gluttony and deliciousness. The ingredients are always FRESH- a huge plus for me, and earning this bus all 5 stars.

    (5)
  • Miranda O.

My fiance' and I stumbled upon this place by accident and have been regulars ever since! There food is fantastic! The hot sauce is superb! And they are not expensive at all! The food is high quality, the staff is friendly, no complaints!

    (5)
  • Steven L.

Always fantastic at this location. Great food and quick friendly service. They have probably the best hot sauce I have ever tasted.

    (5)
  • Todd M.

We've eaten here several times now. The food is always delicious. Not a huge fan of the quesadillas here - my daughter ordered the one with chicken and it was a bit dry, but the tacos are incredible. They're $1.20 each, and if you buy give you get a free soda. My wife and I normally order ten and split them. It's also one of the few places in town you can buy the Mexican Coke made with real sugar. This place is usually pretty busy and you see a lot of Mexicans eating there - both good signs! If you like Mexican food and haven't tried this taco bus yet, give it a try!

    (4)
  • Pinky C.

Tacos were standard taqueria fare. Decent carne asada, toppings, and salsa. Three stars for novelty factor of eating in a bus instead of outside a taco truck.

    (3)
  • Jason S.

Ordered up a burrito and was NOT disappointed! Definitely reminded me a SoCal-style burrito and price was really good to boot. Best part? This a food truck (bus) with chairs inside. Never ate in a bus before - definitely coming back!

    (5)
  • Paul H.

REAL tacos in Puyallup? Who would have known in this burg in is possible!?! Tacos like I bought in my youth from street carts in Ensenda and the made & padre stands in the back of mercados in LA. Any fool can eat across the street at Mickey D's. Go to the bus and get a plate of tacos or other delicious fare - from really nice people to boot! Go!

    (5)
  • Daniel K.

Great food truck! I've been looking for a new food truck to go to ever since my other one closed down. This is the best (and most authentic) Mexican food you'll find in the Puyallup area. Great burritos and tacos. Their hot sauce is fantastic. Five tacos and a drink for $6? You can't beat that!

    (5)
  • Kelly M.

Hands down, best Mexican food in Puyallup. Very authentic. The service is great, and they're fast. They do have a busy time when the wait time may be a little longer but nothing crazy. If you like shrimp ( who doesn't??) I would recommend the ceviche or the camarones a la diabla. Both amazing. If you're not a seafood fan, then their carnitas are awesome too. I know a lot of Puyallup people are used to chain food and are freaked out by the bus, but seriously don't be. This place is clean and awesome. You're missing out if you don't try it.

    (5)
  • Mikal W.

I finally found this place. They have some pretty authentic food and prices are easy on the wallet. My complaints are; ceviche way too sweet, and my wifes burrito was stale/hard, but I am attributing this to an off day in the kitchen. I had the taco special which is like 5 bucks for 5 tacos and a drink, you can't beat that. I really wanted some good tamale's but they don't make them..so sad. The seating is great, outdoor or in the bus. We will definatley be coming back here!

    (4)
  • Tim M.

Ahhh, the Taco Truck! This place is shockingly good. It's a bit divey looking at first, but they are cranking out some seriously good food in this thing. It has become a lunch stop that I enjoy and frequent. Well worth stopping here.

    (4)
  • Deon M.

Coming from California we were looking for real mexican. This is the closest we have found. In the winter the bus is super cold but we get it to go and enjoy it at home

    (4)
  • Leslie C.

Why in the world has this place not been reviewed yet? Everytime I go the bus is packed! This place is not your ordinary Taco bus or truck. It's a bonafide SCHOOL BUS! The owners have taken an old school bus and converted it into a fully functional eat-in locale. The bus has a kitchen, stools (counters too) and even a TV! That and their yummy tacos, what else could one ask for on a BUS? They have a hot sauce that tastes absolutely amazing, (I have yet to find out what's in it). In addition to tacos, you can get burritos, quesadillas, ceviche and even shrimp cocktail. *They're located on Meridian right behind the Exxon station next to Car Quest Auto Parts

    (4)
  • Jack D.

Really good authentic (I think) tacos, cheap cheap cheap. The ceviche was not so great. The coolest thing about this place is that it's next to a little convenience store and there is a deck with tables between the two businesses. Buy your food at the taco-bus, and get a beer from the convenience store. Have lunch on the deck!

    (3)
  • Adam R.

This is a regular stop. Very authentic Mexican food. Great place to practice you Spanish speaking skills. (not required). Eat inside the "taco bus", out in the picnic tables next to the bus or take it with you. Either way you must stop here!!! I prefer the "special", which is 5 small soft tacos with fried pork with the mandarin orange soda drink right from the bottle.

    (5)
  • Erik J.

This is the most authentic Mexican food I've ever had above the border. Although all I ever get is the 5 taco deal with lots of hot sauce so I can't rate the rest of the menu. Onions and cilantro, yes please! Grab a cerveza and watch the traffic jam up on Meridian while you kick back on the deck at the Exxon. My only complaint is that I'm too tall to stand upright inside the bus, but it's worth it.

    (5)
  • Matthew M.

Luuuuuuhhhhh this place. Asada tacos, ceviche, burritos, it's all quite tasty. Tacos's especially. Highly recommended. I go here almost every time I'm near puyallup.

    (5)
  • Otto R.

Good location off of Meridian, it can be hard to find because it is way in the back of a large lot, next to a convince store and gas station. They take credit/debit which was a plus. Their tacos were really good, you can get a taco for around a dollar a piece, while the tacos were good, there are better deals out there if you are looking for the most bang for your buck. But you can't beat the convenience of a taco truck taking credit.

    (4)
  • Leroy H.

Tacos and burritos burritos with carne asada or lengua are the best. The Mexican food here is the typical version that you will find outside of the sit down restaurants. It is done very well, portions are big, and the price is inexpensive. The beans are consistently good. Basically, it's the same type of Mexican food served by all Mexican joints in the area I was surprised to find a beer garden next to the seating area of the food truck. In Texas people can drink at icehouses. Typically the icehouse is the place where someone with or without their families, minors included, can sit and enjoy their day together with a meal and a beverage of their choice.

    (4)
  • Maria L.

Sure the food taste pretty good and I go every week until Sat when they stole my business credit card number. Someone in Mexico tried to rack up several hundreds of dollars. Luckily I have a great bank with a kick ass fraud Dept. so if you MUST go to this place, I'd advise CASH!!! I'm no longer going. El Burro in Yelm has the best tacos, worth my drive and they won't steal your information.

Whoa! Talk about taco busses... First of all, this is a legit school bus turned food bus. The lady at the register is super nice! The cooks in the back are always busy, I never see them just hanging out. The menu is on either side of the register above the windows. They also have to-go menus if you want a reference before you head over or would like to call ahead for pick up. They have outdoor seating and indoor seating with a TV turned on to a soccer game or a telenovela. The food here is probably one of the best in Puyallup. I've had their tortas, tacos, and shrimp ceviche tostada. My boyfriend tried the Birria, a pork tomato based soup. Comes with 4 tortillas, rice and beans. He was in love, so was I! The brothers rich, flavorful and hearty. Let's just say it's my boyfriend's new favorite thing! I got the shredded pork torts and two carne asada tacos! I doused each with their creamy spicy cilantro, tomatillo sauce, not exactly sure what it's called but they have it on the tables outside or in the bus next to the pickled radishes and carrots, limes, etc... I also tied my father in law's chicken from his pollo asado platter. The chicken was a bit dry, so guess what I poured all over it? That spicy cilantro/tomatillo creamy sauce, yummmmy! For the price you pay you get TONS of food! It's a good and cheap way to feed a couple people or an army. The food comes out pretty fast too, not min of a wait. There is a "beer patio" so if you have the kiddos with you, best if you eat in the bus, on the picnic tables or to-go.

This bus has been around for 5-6 years. I went here when it first opened up with my boyfriend at that time, I was skeptical. Honestly, I was thinking the worst. I was thinking, what good can come out of a bus that has been made into a mini restaurant, he is trying to kill me. We ordered our food. I got tacos and so did he, and when we got served...I inspected my tacos, of course, and took a bite and it was heaven. I like lengua and tripas. So that is what I ordered. We came back many times since than it was always consistent. Always great. Authentic. Don't let the bus scare you. Just do it!

I've been to this place twice and every time I've been, they did not disappoint. This place has probably some of the best tacos I have ever eaten and they pretty much make it in front of you. I mean you could actually see them cook it right there. At first glance you are super skeptical when you see it, but once you get inside you'll understand. You have two options of seating when you get there. You can either sit outside or you can sit inside and seating is very much limited. Oh, make sure you try the green sauce they have because it's extremely good. I like it better than their red salsa they have. They have a kitchen built in the back of the bus. And it is extremely surprising to me how they can fit all that in there plus seating arrangements inside. They also have a television in there, but to me all they show is Spanish soap operas.

Cool restaurant in a bus! Fun for kids. Good service. Steak tacos dry were dry. I also got a Shredded beef burrito and holy guacamole was it spicy. Almost inedible. I thought they were trying to kill me! If you like spicy, get it! Don't get me wrong, I like a little heat but it was intolerable.

Effing fantastic! These tacos are amazing... to the point I might use the words taco and amazing interchangeably. When I was on my way here for my first visit I was told the food is great but it might not live up to Seattle food truck great. Well, I can happily say this food bus would easily survive the Seattle food truck scene. As you first drive up to the gas station this is located next to you'll see outdoor seating that you can use and you may make the mistake I did and think you order from the bus' door... but there's an inside! Walk inside and there's a TV and some bar-style seating. Order at the counter and be prepared to enjoy a taco feast inside the taco bus. I order their taco plate special which is 5 tacos with your choice of meats. I did chicken and steak. For less than $10 (including tip) I had 5 tacos and a soda. I finished my taco plate and ordered a second. To tell you a secret... if we wouldn't have been short on time due to our movie starting soon I would have gotten a third plate. These amazing are taco! I'm not in this section of Puyallup all that often any more but I'll plan to swing by here for a quick plate whenever I am in the area. DELICIOUS! I'm a huge fan!

Honestly I just moved here and this place is so far the best place to get some beef tacos and quesadilla. Taste so good and very authentic. Gotta say I'll be back there again. I also leave to say for operating out of a bus the have a very large menu with lots of options and one of my favorite... horchata. Yum!

Don't let the looks of this food truck fool you. This is the absolute best Mexican food I have had in Washington state. Their salsa is amazing added to a breakfast burrito. We have eaten here two mornings in a row for their breakfast burritos:)

You are absolutely not going to find a better, more authentic and enjoyable Mexican experience in the south Sound. This place is just DYNAMITE and we loved it! We pulled up and immediately thought it looked a little suspect (folks selling stuff out of an out hollow bus will do that), but once we headed inside, we could tell we were in for a treat. I had the five tacos special; two with carne asada, two with cerdo picante and one with shredded beef. While the shredded beef wasn't my style, both other fillings proved to be some of the tastiest tacos I have ever had. And I mean ever. Great stuff. My wife had the chicken burrito which came with beans and rice and she was equally impressed. Service was very friendly and it was ready for us fast, pricing was more than reasonable. Nothing to complain about here, if you're in the area, you're doing yourself a disservice by not stopping by. We will be back again and again!

By far some of the best street tacos, beans and rice that I have tried in the area. I do not like the chicken tacos. Chicken should be shredded and not chopped up into tiny little pieces, it gets too dry that way. The carnitas tacos are great. I love the red sauce it has just enough spice in it. I'm not a fan of the green sauce but my friend says its good.

Awesome Tacos! Very cheap and really delicious. Don't be turned off by the broken down bus. Go on in and order some tacos. I had carnitas tacos and lengua. It was served with a little onion, cilantro and lime juice. It's really fantastic and authentic. You can go into the service station next door if you want a beer- I bought a Modelo to go with my meal. Lots of picnic seating available- AND a view of Mount Rainier. Love it! I will certainly return.

Hands down the best mexican in town. The freshest ingredients. Reasonable prices, great portions and amazing flavors. It seems like they are always open- take the time to visit and you wont be disappointed. You can also phone orders in to pick up - which is a huge plus. Friendly service.

Hands down the best taco truck in town. The prices are unbeatable. My favorite menu item is 5 tacos and a drink for $6. I have yet to actually eat inside the truck and prefer to eat at the outdoor tables that are offered next to the bus due to the lack of space in the bus itself. Always a great experience and always delicious!

I went here on a recommendation from a person who is mexican and WOW. Real, fresh. fast food. I asked for avacado- it literally was scooped from the fruit to the plate. Price is reasonable and you get a good amount. This is where I go for mexican food now, sit down restaurants aren't as authentic as this. LOVE

It's good, but not as good as La Carreta on the other side of Meridian. As for my control order, 2 steak and two chicken tacos: Meat: Dry, not particularly well seasoned. Tortilla: Bland, warm but tasted nuked. Salsa: Forgettable Pickled Veggies: Really good, the pickled jalapenos were the stars of the show. here's a link to other reviews/locations of pierce county taco trucks. Enjoy. blog.thenewstribune.com/…

The best taco, burrito and torta place in Tacoma/Puyallup area thus far that we've found. Reminds me of the taco trucks in L.A. Nothing out of the ordinary just really good and to the point. The sauce/salsa is pretty good. The horchata is damn good. We've tried almost all kinds of meat and the best are asada and cabeza.

Had a hankering for taco truck Mexican this morning. I found Los Amigos, and I must say that I am impressed. Ordered 5 carne asada tacos, 2 carne asada tortas, a chicken torta, and a carne asada burrito (feeding 5). The food was excellent. The server was very polite and was smiling the whole time. Will definitely go to this place again.

Seriously Taqueria Los Amigos is the best thing going in Puyallup. The tacos are always on point. I generally go for the carne asada 5 street taco combo that comes with a soda and split it with the hubs. The other day I was living on the wild side and decided to get a carnitas plate...OMG totally delicious...I make it to Los Amigos probably every other week its totally worth the trip if you are in the area.

After having moved up to Washington from Southern Cal., I searched high and low in an attempt to replicate the excellent Mexican food I previously had. I tried Las Palmos (no!), and other local places as well .. But then .. I rode the magic bus!!!! This place is the best! By far the closest thing to actually being in Mexico! Having been there, I can tell you, this is really how it's done! I love the bus!

Holy Yumminess! This place is awesome, authentic, and pretty cheap. A friend and I split the 5.99 special which was 5 tacos (we ordered the chicken) and it comes with a drink. This was plenty of food for the two of us! Flavorful, fresh, not greasy tasting--superb hot sauce...If you're in this part of town I highly recommend stopping by this joint. The ceviche is great too...I can't wait to go back!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
