I had the Shepard Pie and it was delicious. The meat was well seasoned and the proportion of meat to veggie (carrots and onions) was perfect. The garlic mashed potatoes on top were great too. And they have really good soda bread. The decor is Irish, but not overdone or cheesy at all. My only complaint (and reason for only 4 stars) is the lackluster service. We got what we needed, and got it fairly quickly, but our server was terse with us and the other tables and not really adept at multitasking. We will still stop by our next time passing through town. :-)

The entree in question is 'Bangers n' Mash.' The sausage link was very tasty, before today I had zero respect for British based cooking, but I was dead wrong. It's incredible how they take an entree with a fundamental concept and actually make it appetizing. Ladies and gentlemen if you love that balanced flavor fusion between salty and sweet then you'll love O'Blarney's Bangers N' Mash!!! 5 Stars HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, so happy I took my old man here for a free dinner. Lmao All the best Blake G

I was thinking about giving this place four stars because of the price/food quality, but the service is what knocks it down for me. It's a fun local hangout with a large menu, good food, and okay-ish service. Now, the servers aren't 'rude' per say, but they are inattentive and slow - especially during lunch time - a time that most business people want to get in and get out in a reasonable amount of time. So, if that's what you're going for, this place is not it - in my experience. Now, for dinner/late night snacks and drinks - this place is really really fun. Large crowds of people, lots going on (good for the people watching) and for some reason the servers step up their game, so that's nice as well. :) This place isn't really an Irish bar...but, then again - hardly any of them are, but don't let that deter you - the food is really good, always hot and extremely reasonably priced.

Been there a few times and wasn't impressed. Over priced drinks and under quality foods. It's like eating in a cafeteria. You think you'd put a little money into a place of you want to get people to come. Recently I learned that they are refusing to serve people who are not Seahawks fans now too. I'm not into supporting a bigoted business. Especially for one just for liking a football team. But I guess that's what you get with an Irish bar.

The service sucks and so did the food tonig ht they need to hire waitress that actually listen to what you want maybe if they dint come to work smelling like smoke(the green stuff) you'd might get better service

Nice, local, home town tav with a casual feel. No yuppie or political overtones. Just good beer and food selections with a laid back clientele. Not really irish Irish but still fun. Friendly, hard working, staff keeps things moving. There is a dining room for families, away from the bar area. There is often something going on (rafflies, trivia nights, charity events....) as well. Hardly ever dull. They are a great supporter and big friend of a local children's cancer research fund, "Friends of Mia" to which I volunteer. We are thankful of their support and participation in the community.

GET THE SODA BREAD! I ordered bangers and mash and i thought it was pretty tasty. The wife ordered Rueben sandwich and she said it was great. The Soda bread is sooo good it makes u want to just eat that and nothing else. The only negative I should say is that the Gizzards that we ordered took a long time to get to us considering it was an appetizer. They brought it out the same time as our main meal. Once it got to us, the gizzards were crunchy and very tasty! I recommend getting gizzards along with soda bread. The decor could use a little updating in my opinion

The Thursday night trivia is amazing, the host is fantastic. The drinks are good. I would give this place more than 2 stars, except there is a waitress who is so unbelievably rude to me every time I am there. She doesn't bring me drinks (I had to go ask at the bar for my drink because she had not brought it over and did not return to my table for over half an hour). I have Celiac disease and they do have a gluten free list, which is nice even though it is very limited. But this particular waitress will roll her eyes at me every time I ask for it (yes I know it hasn't changed, but I don't have the whole menu memorized, so yeah I'd like to look at it again please). I don't trust her because she doesn't seem to take my concerns seriously. Celiac disease is a serious condition and I'm not some fad dieter - but even if I were, what business is it of hers? No paying customer deserves to be treated the way this woman has treated me every time I visit. She is rotten. There is another waitress there who is an absolute delight, but I haven't been able to sit in her section lately. I wish they all could be like her.

O'Blarney's sent my sister an email for $12 off her birthday dinner. After reading the email on her phone and supposedly calling her manager, the waitress said she wouldn't honor the deal as it was not printed up. Nowhere on the email did it say the deal needed to be printed up. We offered to forward the email back to them. Nope. HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOT.

Cute, if somewhat older, pub/restaurant. My husband and I stopped here after looking for deals on Restaurant.com and buying a certificate for $25. Checked the reviews and seemed decent, plus we love Irish pubs. We both ordered steaks (he the 12 oz and I the 10 oz) and they were beautiful. Cooked exactly to medium rare as we had asked, seared perfectly on the outside. The soda bread served with the meal is AMAZING, and the beer buddies and fried shrooms were icing on the cake. We got to enjoy the 2015 allstar baseball game with great food and a very sweet waitress. Two thumbs up for this trip. Will be going back again!

Been there a few times now and have been happy each time. The wings are delicious! Our servers have been friendly and most of the time pretty quick to take your order.

My favorite place for darts! Also the the patio and the wait staff here are awesome!! The food is really good too (since I see this place as more of a bar than a restaurant). Word of advice, be nice at this place. It's got a big heart.

We arrived in town about 9:30 and asked of a good local place to eat and the front desk staff at our hotel said this place was close and had good food. We called ahead to find out what time they stopped serving food and they said 11. We arrived at a little before 10 and the restaurant side was already closed. When we had walked in, I asked the bouncer who carded us if they were serving food and he said yes, until 11 but only on the bar side. We walked into the bar side and it was was loud and packed. When I say loud, I mean, LOUD! Like tried three times to tell my wife I didn't see any tables available and she couldn't hear me. I then shouted a few times that I wanted to leave and she couldn't hear that either, so I just turned around and walked out, actions are louder than music, thank god. #1 It was too loud #2 There was nowhere to sit if you wanted to eat #3 Why on earth would you close the restaurant side before the kitchen closes? Not everyone wants to go deaf, scream at their friends and get drunk. Geezus, I'm not even that old, but the atmosphere was not even remotely conducive to eating. Maybe the food was amazing, hard to say, since we weren't able to stay to eat. Didn't give it one star because I didn't eat the food, didn't give it three or more because I didn't eat the food. Maybe next time. Earlier. WAY earlier.

I have only been here for breakfast, but I love their chicken fried steak. I live in the Olympia area and have been here twice now. It isn't often that you can find somewhere that has a fully homemade chicken fried steak and gravy that is clearly fresh made with big chunks of sausage like this. I got it with the biscuit and the biscuit is one of those ugly house made biscuits that always tastes way better than some pretty thing out of a can. Their menu is small, but based only on the chicken fried steak, this place is awesome. It is a nice little restaurant with quick friendly service that is a great stop for a quick diner breakfast.

Probably the most TV's in any sports bar in the Olympia area. Great staff and this place has the biggest wings in freaking town. And they are a great price! Lots of family seating, and a bar twice the size. The Pull Tabs bar girls are great (Don't forget to tip when you win!) and the beer choices are aplenty! And the Pub has prizes and trips they give away during game days, and pub quiz/trivia nights. Great place to hang out.

It's cute when a place claims to be "Irish", isn't it? What's obnoxious is when you go in and can't figure out how they get away with making that claim. The "Irish" theme gained huge popularity about 20 years ago for our culture, with Boondock Saints, Colin Farrell, U2 not sucking so hard, and the Cranberries being hugely popular. Sadly, it seems like this was about the time that O'Blarneys may have peaked in popularity, as well. The entire restaurant smells like old beer, the carpets and decor are mismatched, random, and outdated. Also, I understand the concept of a sports bar, but there are SO many TVs playing different sports events everywhere, that it is confusing and distracting. Do people really go to sports bars to make sure that they can watch tennis, racing, basketball updates, and random ESPN commentary shows all at the same time? Additionally, the seating area is massive and very open, so if you go here anytime other than a major sports event, the restaurant will seem extremely empty. Because of the stools located everywhere, it felt like we never had any privacy, and drunk patrons kept lingering close to us as they wandered near the pool table. That being said, there are a few positives to O'Blarneys. The waitstaff seems to be trying their best to overcome the limitations of the restaurant and they were very courteous and accomadating. Our food was better than average, and we were given a few free drinks while we were there which made-up for the weak atmosphere and belligerent drunks. However, even with the free drinks, I wouldn't be back. Sorry, O'Blarneys, but it doesn't seem like you can decide what kind of place you really want to be when you grow up.

Avoid the nacho... terrible! Pre shredded cheese hardly even Luke warm. Cheese wasn't even melted. Very few places can perfect a nacho... this isn't one of those places... there should be toppings left over not half the chips and no toppings.

Cool little Pub. A bit loud when it's busy, but that kinda comes with the territory. The food is amazing. The service is average. Cool place to go have a Ruben and a beer and play some pool.

Excellent food in a rowdy sports bar type atmosphere. Really enjoyed the menu choices. A large selection of draft beers made for an enjoyable experience.

I dunno, I wish I loved this place. Just-okay food and just-okay service with a strange lonely night ambiance just got me. I really should give it another shot. Burger was unremarkable. And that's a pain. I mean, if you're going to spend your hard earned money on a burger out, unremarkable is not what you're looking for, like if you asked the server, and they said "unremarkable", would you still order a burger? Thought not. Still, gotta love a local business going strong after all of these years. This is another place that I can't recall ever not having been in that spot. I swear. Give it a try, maybe you'll have a better experience. And if so, write about it! Thanks for listening!

Stopped in to check out breakfast on a Friday morning and drove away very satisfied. The breakfast menu is basic. Standard items you can find anywhere in America. Plus, a few Amer-Irish things (bangers-n-mash) to fit the Lucky Charms motif. I chose the Philly Cheesesteak omelet. It comes with hashbrowns, toast and honeydew garnish. It was perfect. The omelet was packed with thinly sliced meat, onions, peppers and jalapeños. Plenty of jalapeños. The cheese was fully melted and strung out with every fork full. The thing that stood out was that this was a rolled/folded omelet. Not just scrambled eggs with everything thrown in. The hashbrowns were done right as well. Shredded potatoes with a fully brown and crisp top layer. Not greasy at all. The final bit here was the side of sausage gravy I ordered for dunking my toast and bites of browns. That gravy was magically delicious. Greatness in a cup. It had proper rib sticking consistency with very unique flavoring and small chunks of sausage. Tasted like it had fresh herbs mixed in. Based on the gravy alone, I would go back for further investigation of the full biscuits and gravy meal. Tasty food, nice portions, fair price. Thanks!

Today was our first time having breakfast at Oblarney's, though we have been in many times over the years. I can say that I was not very impressed. Our server was very nice, but the food took forever. At least we got to watch the 10 flat screens of football, but the loud volume of two different games was a bit frustrating. While waiting for our food I was wanting play pull tabs to kill some time. I went up to the bartender and asked her if should could pull me some and she said no because she didn't know how. Really! Our food finally arrives and it was just ok. All said and done, probably won't be going back for breakfast.

I stopped here while visiting Lacey based off the reviews here on yelp. I love a good dirt bar and legit food so I figured I was safe here. First of all the place is like a old Denny's or something that no one ever invested the money into making it look like something better. More importantly when I sat down at the bar the chick behind the bar was ringing someone's order in and completely ignored me till she was done (a simple hi would have been nice). When she was ready she asked me what I wanted to drink, I asked what my options in a red wine were. She stared blankly at me and pointed at a lame drink menu (which happened to be sticky...). Once past the drink issue I had to ask three times for a menu for food...when she was clearly getting impatient for me wanting to read the menu I asked what she liked. Her suggestion was the sliders on special, which she said were "pretty good". So I ordered fish and chips, they had the clover next to them indicating they were a fav for people. Not great. Lame tarter sauce clearly purchased and not made in house. Fish was clearly frozen before tossed in the fryer and fries I could have done better in my oven at home. Basically if your starving they can help. If you want decent service, basically good food and bellow average drinks for not super prices this is the place!

Sweet hometown pub. This is my favorite spot to go to just relax, drink, and watch the game. They have a great selection of seasonal beers on tap, along with $2 Rainiers on Saturdays. Nice pool tables and shuffleboard can also be found here.

First time here, came in for breakfast; we always thought this a "bar" and stayed away. The dining room is bright and had a Family atmosphere with a kids menu option. There was 1 server on the floor, you can tell who the regulars are but she was very friendly and quick to crack a joke; made us feel welcome. The coffee was retched, but that's not fair because I am a coffee snob. Unfortunately our food took 25 minutes to come out! I started thinking, there is one server I wonder if there is one cook; but the place wasn't that busy. Yeesh, 25 minutes is a loooong time. And all I had was putrid coffee. But when the food came it was good. It was hot, the veggies were fresh and my favorite part was the griddle food had that taste of "clean grease." Not like Burger King fries that taste like old dirty grease, no, this was fresh light clean oil. It reminisced that the griddle was also clean. I would try this place again, order something different , not get the coffee and hope the order does not take so long to cook.

Very disappointing used to be a good place. My hamburger was burnt probably explains why it took so long to get served. I asked for tomato no onions I got onions as I was picking them off the waitress brought me unripe diced tomatoes. Normally burgers are served with sliced tomatos. Another couple left because of dirty tables at 11:30 on a Saturday morning. I wont be back

I frequent Oblarneys, I feel it is hit or miss, atmosphere is great, plenty of tvs to watch any sport you feel like enjoying, lots of pool tables, and shuffleboard as well. Food is a bit better than the average bar scene, I recommend their burgers or corned beef with cabbage. But some days its too busy and service slows down, can you blame them, no, but it happens. But free pool on Sundays makes up for it.

Solid place to watch a football game or UFC fight. They're a family friendly environment and also extremely accommodating towards military members. They've hosted parties of 50+ people within a few days notice if you're looking for a spot to host a small party. Their wings are some of the best in the area. If it's your first time and you like wings, they can mix sauces for you. For example if you like it kind've hot with a taste of teriyaki, they'll make a hot teriyaki sauce for you, using the 1 to 5 scale. They have a good craft beer list and several pool tables if you want to play around for a few hours with friends. I've never had an issue with service or staff.

I visited O'Blarney's for the first time to watch the World Cup and had a great experience. The beer was cold, the food was delicious, and the waitstaff was friendly.

Not impressed with staff and menu. Food items are expensive for ordering bar food. We came in for the first time a year ago and the bartender for the evening just showed up, seemed pissy and hungover and kept cussing and being unprofessional to his staff. Out of the two times I've been here, it's not worth coming back to even redeem my 50% off coupon offered by yelp:

Walked into a half full restaurant, waited for over five minutes before we were even acknowledged. A guy walked over to our table and said "here are some menus" and turned around and walked away, didn't even ask if we wanted a drink. Waited another three or four minutes, still nobody came to our table do we decided to leave. Prices on the menu looked pretty steep for fried bar food anyways.

I really enjoyed the service at this place even though it has an older bar smell, sorry just a personal pet peeve, but other than that really happy we found this place on a road trip back to Portland from Seattle. Started my meal with the Beer battered tots from a recommendation on Yelp, loved them not to oily tasting and full of flavor. I got the hamburger french dip combo and really enjoyed the flavors and filling as it was my first meal of the day... Late night at a Def Leppard concert! The Blarney burger looked awesome and the fish burger I sampled was really good as well. I will stop by here again when I'm in the area. ENJOY.

OK. This place opened about the time I came of legal age. Yes, I'm old. It's still here, and so am I. But O'Bs is just the same as it ever was, no signs of growing old. Good beers, good food, good times. Maybe still the best sports pub in town.

We dropped in for lunch on a Tuesday and I was very pleased. I ordered the delicious seafood combo: Fish, shrimp, fat clam strips, and wonderfully crispy fries.

O'Blarney's truly is an Olympia tradition! From their good pub food and drinks, to their very friendly staff, they are a great watering hole for all ages. I first visited O'B's when in college at Saint Martin's and now attend breakfast their weekly for our local Rotary group. What the other reviews don't tell you is who well vested in the community the owners are. I can't think of a local charity auction that didn't include a sponsorship or donation from O'B's. This last year when the Gateway Rotary club was looking for a larger location to hold our Wednesday morning meetings our needs were focused on a restaurant that could host up to 70 people, and get everyone fed and out in an hour. There was one obvious choice, and I am so glad that we relocated and now call O'Blarney's our home. The service is typically very quick, the food is well prepared and large portions, and the prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this spot the next time you are in town.

Not good. Slow service. Order was fouled up, brought wrong food. Buffalo chicken sandwich smelled like puke, taste horrible. French dip was more gristle than meat. Potato salad was suspiciously like that of a grocery store brand or Costco, not the best but as it was likely not made in house, may have been the best thing we had. Beer was cold . . .

A few decent beers on tap and the food is pretty good. I like the clubs with sweet potato fries. They are also the only place I have found so far that shows the UFC fights. They have a lot of TV's but no projection screens. Nice play to watch the games as well.

i'm new to town. I had a choice of going to Buffalo wild wings and a place called cheeze something to watch the UFC on PPV for free but instead i thought i'd check this local place out, after all, there was a "50% off your first drink" special going on with YELP. So i "checked-in" on yelp and got the special, the instructions on the bottom of my screen was to show my phone to the cashier to get the discount. I told the cashier and he said" oh, you have to print it out for us" I have never heard that one before! The instructions clearly said to show my phone/screen to the cashier. you would think they would honor such specials and treat their customers well, esp first time customers, but no.... The guy was a real jerk. He was white, short hair, looked about 5'10 inches, medium built upper body with chicken legs, but walked around with his chest out thinking he was Mr. Tough boss. He was wearing a gray shirt, gray shorts and gray shoes, come on?! give me a break, i'm sure he's making at least 15-20$ an hr, go get some clothes. Domestic beer is cheap but very diluted and seem to have lost the strength in the alcohol. you get what you pay for! Stay away from this place. They WILL nickel and dime you whenever they can! Especially the dude behind the bar. VERY disappointed. i'll give them ZERO stars for customer service! one star bc i have no choice. NEVER EVER going back! READ the reviews they are cheap. You are better off at Buffalo wild wings, at least, they will honor specials that they have agreed to with YELP. TO: O'Blarney's Pub Manager/Owner, please talk to this guy behind the bar. The worker could have honored the special on yelp(50% off first drink) and i would have been a happy customer and probably would have brought every friend i had over to your place but no, you guys lost a good customer over a discount drink you wouldn't honor although the company agreed to with YELP. That's shady business. i'm done, i'm out.

I'm not sure what it is about this place but I always end up coming back. This is a great place to come whether you are young or old. You can come to watch a game or just relax with some shuffleboard or pool. Either way you are going to have a great time with the opportunity to enjoy some good bar food. I would definitely recommend trying the "beer buddies" if you haven't already done so!

Love this place! My wife and I came here for our first date and recently on the 7th anniversary of our first date along with a hundred times in between. Food and atmosphere is good and there's almost never a wait. We'll keep coming back!

I haven't been here for about 5 years because the last time the service was exceptionally HORRIBLE so I essentially boycotted the place. Fast forward to last Saturday when my wife and I decided to give it a try because I had a Restaurant dot com certificate that was burning a hole in my pocket. The service was very good. Our order was taken promptly, drinks were refilled when needed and the server checked back often to make sure everything was okay. She wasn't real friendly nor was she rude... they were quite busy so I understand she didn't really have time to chat. The food was excellent. I had a burger with the works and the wife had the 12 ounce steak with the works. The burger was very good but the steak was great. Next time I will be ordering that. We will certainly be going back.

Your regular sports bar. Good burgers washed down with a pint of Guinness is the way to go. If you're a fan of trivia and have a smart phone, you'll have a great time.

We enjoy going to O'Blarney's for Sounders Matches; shoot a little pool, eat some pretty typical pub food and drink. I don't like beer so I tend to have well drinks which are poured nicely. It isn't OMG it is out of the world and the service is lacking at times but they remember us and are quick to fix mistakes so that is good. Nick I am sure would like them to get a stake right but I order burgers and corned beef so I am happy.

Definitely not an Irish bar. It's really a sports bar with a couple of Irish whiskey mirrors. Very mixed local crowd. But hey, the wings are actually pretty damn hot! I taste habanero. And if you like to ticket gamble, it's the place for you.

    (3)
  • Nick M.

O'Blarney's is pretty good. The food is the normal fare for a bar/pub. The wings are very good, maybe the best in town. Service can be lacking at times and it's not unusual to be looking at an empty glass for 5 minutes or longer, unless you sit at the bar. That said all of the staff are very nice and seem to enjoy being there. Also, this may be the closest place to a sports bar that Olympia has to offer.

Sunday Morning. Beer. Football. Wings. Classic combo right? There are 4 things listed. Sunday Morning: It was indeed Sunday morning, they did that right! Beer: Yep, it's beer. It came in a pitcher and it was cold. Check. Football: Tons of TVs with all the different games on. Do note that you'll be real uncomfortable in the seats. Good enough. Wings: Sigh. They come on a sliding scale of heat, 1-6. Unfortunately, the level of overcooked nasty breading can not be adjusted. While I do believe that wings should be coated in sauce only, I can accept some breading if done right. Theirs is not. Also notable: Closest unoccupied parking spot to the building was covered in vomit.

Awful service, they girl could not even get an ice tea and diet coke order right after 3 tries. Greasy, bland, awful food and bad 70's wanna-be Irish pub atmosphere.

  • Tae L.

I've been here a handful of times since my coworkers enjoyed meeting up here after work when I lived in Washington. The food is your typical pub fare and the atmosphere is a little lacking. That being said, this place fills up pretty quick for football games since they have cheap beer specials. I recommend trying the O'Blarney Burger is you're hungry. Also, as of November 2011, Yelp has a 50% off your first drink special here.

This is a regular stop for us when we're in the mood for something we can count on. For us that means the club sandwich or the monte cristo here. It's a standard club, but something about their combination makes is super yummy. Personally, I sprinkle salt on it (it's the only sandwich I do this with) and take it to the next level, but that's me. Someday I'll venture out and try a burger here, but until then, I'm content with the clubs. ;)

If you need a hearty meal and a pint to go with it then try this pub out. I had a steak with the mushroom sauce, AMAZING, and it came with soda bread, veggies, baked spud, three onion rings so well worth it. The waitress we had was super nice and friendly. I plan on coming back here.

We come here for pull tabs and beer buddies. It's a fun place when you want to hang out but it's definitely not a culinary destination. Their staff are super nice and we always have a good time, so all good.

Ahhh O'Blarney's... A good place for a wee bit of drink for quenching your parched throat. Good food and good friends. A few of us used to make this place a regular lunch gathering when we attended St Martins College (or St Marty's as we called it). It was a fun place to discuss classes and assignments. Now I can only go there on the weekends when I have time off from work. But the atmosphere really hasn't changed. It's still warm and inviting. The hostesses are friendly and helpful. The fireplace gives you a family gathering feeling, even amongst strangers all around you.

Great place to get together with friends and family or just come in and have a good meal and a beer.

I've been here twice since I moved up on September 2nd. Lots of TVs here and they have the NBA, MLB, and NFL packages through DirecTV. They also have Fox Soccer Channel and GolTV for you footy fans who want a place to catch the EPL, Bundesliga and Serie A games. The food is good, and the beer selection is high. They have food and drink specials every day to go along with their happy hour Mon-Fri from 3-6pm. This place has Shuffleboard and 3 billiards tables. Both Shuffleboard and Billiards are free on Sunday evenings. They also have pulltabs, a restaurant-only seating area with a TV, and that electronic bar trivia network (the one where you can compete against other bars) on a dedicated TV back in the Bar area. If you're really up for a challenge, try doing the TV trivia at the same time as their regular trivia night (Thursdays at 8). Karaoke is on Wednesday, but i've yet to check that out. The age range of their clientele leans "older" (think people in their 30s-50s), but then again, my two visits have come on Thursday evenings and I'm gone by 10pm. It definitely appears to be a fun place to go after work. The longer I stay in Olympia, the more I'll find myself going to this place for a drink and to watch the games amongst those with similar interests.

Sat in the bar area on a Friday night. The crowd was surprisingly middle-aged and coupled up. I had the Reuben Sandwich. Decidedly average. Not bad bit a little thin. You shouldn't skimp on the corned beef in an Irish pub... She had the Fish N Chips. Very nice batter. Crispy with nicely cooked flaky fish. Both orders came with fries. Above average, hot and crispy. Good friendly service. Decent food but not huge portions. Totally average.

This place is great. My first visit was for happy hour. I was surprised at how reasonable the prices were...actually, pretty cheap compared to what I'm used to paying for happy hour items. The food looked pretty good and smelled even better. I chose the bartender's philly...I believe that's what it's called and it was delicious. The atmosphere was very friendly. I loved how attentive the staff was, even if they weren't serving you. I will definitely be back with the girls!

We travel through the area about every 6 month or so always stayed at lodging, near O'Blarney's because it was fun, and the food was pretty good. This time was different, we sat at the bar by the service window, all the waitresses seemed to be upset ,and squabbling. then the cook came out of the kitchen, he had an uncovered 6 inch long goatee, and was scratching it, over the food setting in the delivery window. also some of the plates were ready to be taken to the tables, and sat there for over 10 minutes while the waitresses were talking about their boy friends or squabbling with each other. We left probably will not come back.

Good pub food but they stop serving it too early on Fri and Sat.

This is not really an Irish bar, but it's a great sports bar, with what looked like a huge range of beer and cider. The food is delicious - I had a steak which was perfectly cooked and came with so many sides I was overwhelmed. Service is fast and friendly and it's a nice place for a casual dinner.

Have been there several times, only the burgers are really good. Service is nothing special. Disappointed one day when hubby and I went. Only about 10 folks. The waitress was obviously more interested in the table with young men. We finally had to go and get our bill. The lady in the next table rarely saw the waitress either. If you need fast skip it.

Tasty food stick with what would be good in a pub. The rueban shepherds pie were good. Beer was cold and refreshing nice selection. Would stop by again.

Cheese filled tater tots... Why aren't these everywhere? Their Beer battered fish and chips were awesome. Nothing better to wash these down with than your favorite beer. Honestly what more can you want in a pub? Will be going here again next time I visit my brother in Oly. Until then I will have dreams about cheesy yummy tater tots....

First off. I love this place. I am here usually once a week at least and I always have a great time. We decided to have Oblarneys provide bar service for our wedding reception. They were easy to work with, provided everything we wanted and more, were there an hour early, and had amazing service. If you need a bar for your event consider these guys. You won't regret it.

This is my favorite place to hang with friends or play pool with hubby locally. They have the largest and yummiest food menu, service is great. It's locally owned, great live music, weekly events, clean bathrooms, and Sunday mornings they have a killer brunch with Bloody Marys that make it worth missing church! Very user friendly website. I take family here for big dinner parties too.

O'Blarney's, or as my 88 year-old grandpa likes to call it, The Pub, is a great place to hang out sometimes, like it was last weekend when lots of people were drawn out of Lacey to the bars in downtown Olympia by Lakefair. When it isn't too busy you can easily play bar Olympics just like we did. They have a handful of pool tables, shuffleboard, darts, trivia and some good beers on tap. And it's got one of those new-fangled internet jukeboxes so it's easy to find some good tunes if the waitress doesn't fill it up with horrible R&B like we saw her do the other night. But it gets really crowded some nights and you can't even get near a pool table or find a place to sit and you have to put up with all the people from high school that you didn't really need to ever see again. It's one of the reasons that I end up avoiding the place completely while I'm in town. One half is a bar and the other half more of a restaurant. We occasionally go here with my grandpa and he loves it. But other than him, we all find it average at best. It's standard pub grub and nothing stands out. One funny thing about O'Blarney's is that it now shares a parking lot with a church. Next-door is the old Lacey Cinemas, which was converted to a church a couple years back when the new theater opened down the road. So now you can get yourself some body and blood of Christ and a burger and a beer all in one stop. How convenient!

Eat before you come! My Monte Cristo sandwich tasted like it came out of a package. I'd rather eat a McGriddle. The deep fried mushrooms were money! A lot of draught beer. A lot of games (pool, darts, shuffleboard). I think I heard some live strings. O'Blarney!! Good times, one time. Won't be going back.

O'Blarney's is a pretty standard bar. Some restaurant type seating, some bar type amenities like pool tables. In general, it's not the sort of place that would stand out in your memory... with one exception: beer buddies. Basically little tater tots filled with cheese and served with ranch dipping sauce, they are the most amazingly perfect companion to a good amber ale imaginable. Any other tater tot pales in comparison to the perfect symphony of cheese and potato at O'Blarney's.

Good food, fair prices, relaxed atmosphere. Must love sports, since there are 3 screens in the dining room!

Faith and Begorra! Has me died and gone to Killarney? Not exactly. O'Blarneys is a sports bar. Other than an advertising gimmick, this is not an Irish pub or Irish-style pub. But, it's not bad, and I recommend giving it a shot when you are in the mood for a lively place that's part TGI Fridays, part loud bar with people in their 20s and 30s. It always has one or two really good beers on tap (recently Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale!), the staff is friendly, and they have shuffleboard. How many places in Olympia have shuffleboard? The food is sports bar food - burgers, hot wings, fried stuff, and when you're in the mood for that kind of thing, the fancy bars serving salmon and crap just won't do. I've only been on weekend nights, so keep that in mind when I say O'Blarneys is a noisy pick up joint. But it's not so loud that I can't hear conversation with friends too. It does attract people that are younger and more pumped up with testosterone than, say, Fish Tale, so be prepared for that. Nonetheless, it's really fun there when a band is playing and the dance floor gets packed, and I don't object when people pick O'Blarneys to meet at. Did I mention shuffleboard and pool tables? This place is all right in my book.

Terrible pulled pork sandwich - definitely old, not fresh, gross meat. The beer buddies, however, were tasty.

When i'm in the mood to play some pool and waste my money on the juke box, I head here. The beer is good, the service is fast. It's a little bit of an older crowd, sometimes too old!! But def make this one of my stops on the weekend!

I frequently visit OB's with coworkers for lunch. Their food is always delicious, and our server is very attentive and friendly. I visited once for drinks and dinner with my boyfriend. The food was still fantastic, but we had a grumpy waiter, but everyone has bad days ocassionally, so that's what we chalked it up to. It's a fun atmosphere, and there's drinks to suit anyone's taste.

Good burgers and a nice pint of guinness. I'm also able to bring my kids in early thursday night for the traditional Irish music and the musicians are fantastic with the kids. What more can you ask for in your neighborhood Irish pub.
