I love this place! I've had three of their dishes so far and have loved all three (kung pao chicken, mongolian beef, and fried rice). Their prices are reasonable and I think you get a great value. I recommend it!

Great pineapple fried rice! Super efficient and friendly owner. Great bubble tea and cheaper than any same level restaurants i have been to. Definitely a must go if you live around and is looking for a meal!

Still basking in the afterglow of the umami tonkatsu, lightly charred onions and delicious spicy sauce. It is hard to find good noodles in the Seattle area but this place has them; fresh, chewy and delicious.

My husband and I have been looking for good Mongolian Beef and we found it! Friendly, fast service and clean. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Always looking for places that have really good Chinese Korean fusion food like jajang myun(black bean noodles) and jambong (spicy seafood soup) and this place has got it! The jambong isn't super spicy but has all the flavor and it tastes really clean, I never get that nasty heavy feeling after eating here like I do at some other places.

Still a great place to eat and we go there frequently. Best Asian-teriyaki in the Mukilteo area.

Good food, low price and hearty portions. Tried the Umami Chicken based on previous reviews and was happily satisfied. Sweet, spicy and yummy

What a great restaurant! I had the udon seafood noodles which were cooked and flavored to perfection. The owner served us and she was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is very clean and they also have free wi-fi. The thing that blew my mind is the prices. Everything was under $8...such a great value for what you get! I will definitely be back!

Got the spicy seafood soup and it was delicious. Only con is it only came with 3 shrimp and a few peices of octopus. The shrimp weren't even cleaned, I had to take them out of the soup to deshell them and take off the legs. Annoying but the soup itself was very tasty. Def would be 5 stars otherwise

Went there for the first time and was very impressed with their selection and food. The service was friendly and the food came out in good timing. Clean and comfy, I look coward to going there again.

I definitely recommend coming here for teriyaki! They serve reasonable portions for a great price! The food is tasty I would say slightly above average for your typical teriyaki restaurant. The interior of the restaurant includes a TV that will play sporting events and popular TV shows which is nice. They also serve beer for very reasonable prices which I look forward to trying next time I go there, which I definitely will!

I've only had the chicken teriyaki and tonkatsu here but they are very good. I got large portions and I thought the prices were very good. The teriyaki was not terribly burned like some places and the sauce tasty. The tonkatsu was done just right, not overdone and the breading tasted fresh. Overall, very pleased with the food and portions and will definitely eat here again. The best combination for food, cleanliness and seating comfort.

This place is tucked away in an apartment complex area but it is quite a find. In addition to the typical Japanese teriyaki dishes that most similar restaurants have in the area, they offer Chinese-Korean dishes which sets this place apart. Everything is very reasonably priced and well portioned. I tried two specialty items from the black board menu at the register, the jambong or spicy seafood noodle soup and the tangsuyuk or the sweet and sour pork. First the noodle soup had a good depth of flavor while remaining light, noodles with the perfect amount of firmness and chew. The variety of seafood included made it a great value too. The sweet and sour pork is not the typical fast food Chinese version. It had nicely cut vegetables, a lighter sauce, and a pleasant crunchy texture. The service was also fast and friendly. I would recommend this place for those looking to try unique food in the area and the noodle soup especially on a rainy PNW day.

Best sweet n sour chicken ever. So crisp and fresh. Noodles were delicious even with my stuffy nose. I'm only going to eat my jja jang myun and chicken here now!

I just recently moved to Bella Terra and was excited about having restaurant options so close to home. Decided to try their Chicken Katsu meal and proceeded to get 8 TINY pieces of chicken under an enormous pile of sautéed onions. 75% of my meal consisted of onions, I couldn't even see the chicken in the takeout dish until I went digging though the onion mess. The sauce was strangely chipotle tasting and they gave no side sauces for rice so I had a pile of white rice with chipotle sauce. Needless to say I'll be going across the street to the Thai place next time where the portions are appropriate.

I can't believe I never knew about this little ramen gem until now! It's hidden off the beaten path in a mini business complex connected to apartments. The good: Tonkatsu Ramen and Beef Ramen come in large portion sizes. Pretty much what you expect out of ramen, nothing too fancy. Spicy Seafood Soup with homemade noodles: DELICIOUS! The homemade noodles is worth coming back for! It was on special that day. They taste fresh and balance the semi spicy soup that also comes in a large bowl. Portion sizes- we got 3 bowls of soup for 5 people The customer service- the lady working there was so nice and she gave us free tea (usually $1 per cup) and said happy New Years! She checked in on us too. If you want water there is a water station and plastic cups. If you want anything else it's in the fridges when you walk in the door. The only bad is the location is not close too much but if you're in the Mukilteo, South Everett area and are craving ramen I recommend this place!

Love the ramen, and rare to see sports playing in an Asian restaurant. They know How to cater to the demographic, which is smart. And they almost always have Hong Kong milk tea made in a big pot. Yum.

The food was decent, but the price was good. Probably wouldn't come again unless menu is improved and food tastes better. Wasn't a fan of the Egg noodle Ramen, it was okay I guess

Went here for lunch for a work colleague's birthday. It's across the street from our usual Thai lunch spot and we'd seen it several times but never gone in. I'm glad we did today. It's a fantastic lunch place that is a great bargain. The portion sizes are ginormous for the price. Most menu items hover around $8 and completely fill the plate with salad, your entree, and white or brown rice (brown rice is an extra $0.50). It will probably be a smaller dinner tonight because of all the food I ate here for lunch! I got the kung pao chicken and it was spicy and flavorful. Blown away? Nah. Yummy and worth ordering again? Absolutely. The chicken breast wasn't too fatty (which is generally something to look for in cheaper Asian food). The vegetable to meat ratio was a bit too much in favor of the veggies, but that's not a deal breaker. My co-worker ordered the Mongolian beef and she said the pieces of beef were hit-and-miss. She noted that some pieces were overly chewy, but said it was overall a good dish. You can even bring your friends who don't like Asian food (Although, let's be honest, those aren't friends worth keeping since they preclude you from eating some of the best food in the Seattle metropolitan area)! After all the traditional Asian dishes, corn dogs and fries is an additional item at the end of the menu (handwritten! which, for some reason, make that option's existence that much more charming). I'm hoping we make this one of the regular spots for lunch in the future.

I've been to this local place several times on the merit of one dish, the spicy seafood noodle soup. It's a jumbo serving of piquant soup loaded with noodles (that are very similar to linguini), onions, a little julienned zucchini, a few shrimp, one mussel, and a little octopus. There is a bit of oil in the soup, too, and the broth is rich and flavorful. I've ordered it three times, twice to dine in and once to take out. It has been consistently good. The seafood in the soup seems there mainly for flavor. The soup is hearty from the broth and noodles - there's not much protein. The restaurant is run by a nice Asian couple and it's a cafeteria style place. You select cold drinks (including beer and sake) from their large coolers on the wall on the left as you walk in. Orders and payment are taken from the counter and the waitress brings your food to the table. There have never been more than two other tables full when I've been there and the wait for my soup has been less than 10 minutes. As I said, I've only had their spicy seafood noodle soup (with a cold Asahi) and I'll keep going just for that dish.

I was a little bit skeptical of this place....the restaurant layout reminded me a little bit of food court "Asian" food but in a more Panera-esque setting. I am happy to say that it was way better than the aforementioned! I came here late with a co-worker looking for some grub on a business trip. We tried going a few nights prior but they were randomly closed for a few days so we had to wait a bit and come back. The prices are low and you get a pretty large portion of food, so all in all it's a good deal especially because the food is TASTY! Mmm! I had the seafood soup with homemade noodles and asked them to make it not spicy. The lady at the counter was so nice! She answered all of my totally random questions. I do not know whether or not this place is "Authentic" but who cares if it's good and a good deal to boot, right? My co-worker had Mongolian Beef and he said it was delicious. I tried a bite and it wasn't too spicy like I feared. They also have beer, which rocks, I had the Asahi. In summation: Would recommend if you're in the area and looking for delicious food, lots of it, and for a cheap price. I just wish they had more options to choose from on the menu. Also the dining area was very clean and service was friendly. They also have bubble tea.

A very solid teriyaki spot tucked away where you might not even know there are businesses. It's a few blocks down the hill from the Speedway in some new construction. You turn in and there's a block where all the buildings have commercial space on the ground floor. There's angle-in parking, but not a whole lot of it. Not sure if it ever gets very busy. As for the business itself, it's large for a yaki joint, and they have six full-size drink coolers set along one wall, like a gas station. They even have a few kinds of bottled beer, though nothing adventurous. There are a ton of tables and two chair-rail counters with stools. You order up front. It's actually incredibly nice for a teriyaki place, almost crossing the line into restaurant territory--and just for the record, I've seen plenty of places with table service that were nowhere near this bright and clean. There are two very sweet older Asians running the joint; they just have to be a couple and just have to be the owners. I didn't ask, but sometimes you can just tell. They offer a nice mix of katsu, teriyaki, yakisoba, and so on--all the street foods and casual snacks assembled into one platoon, ready to march. I had my usual chicken teriyaki, which was juicy and tasted fresh. The sauce was a little heavy and sweet, but they don't seem to have an "extra spicy" teriyaki option, at least from my questions. They also don't have a breast meat yaki option. These two things are the only possible way they could lose a star, because everything else about the ingredients, prep, wait time, service, and price was awesome. Good portions, made well, served quickly. It's a little out of the way but rewards you for making the journey.

Have been coming here now for several months and it's always great. The Kung Po chicken is just the right level of heat with great taste. Always a great place to eat and like taking friends and family when they're in town as well.

This place is delicious and the service is amazing as well. When you go into this restraunt you have to remember that its specialty is on Chinese food NOT teriyaki. If you guys want teriyaki go somewhere else like Miyako. Besides that, Umami has one of the BEST Chinese foods I've ever tasted. I came here a couple days ago and ordered the black bean noodles and the spicy sea food soup with noodles. Both dishes were amazing. The noodles weren't too soggy and not too dry. It's always consistent every time I come here. Having an Asian background, I can say for myself that I've had many of these dishes already up north. But I can confidently say that this place is one of my top 5 favorite Chinese restraunts.

Friendly, fast, affordable, big portions, what more can you ask for when you don't wanna cook? It's not the best in the world they obviously take it easy on the spices which is good for those of us with kids plus I can order a side of fries to ensure my kiddo eats something.

A great neighborhood restaurant run by a friendly couple. The location is in Harbour Pointe tucked inside a large condo/apartment development. Food is consistently good with reasonable prices. My favorite is the black bean noodles - it looks like noodles covered in motor oil but the flavor is delicious! The sauce is made from black bean with chopped onions, zucchini, and beef (but not a lot of beef). We've also ordered the various combo plates and have never been disappointed. We are and will continue to be regulars at this restaurant.

I am a frequent diner at Umami and love it for a quick takeout dinner. The teriyaki dishes are pretty standard, but I feel like they are of a higher quality than the nearby teriyaki restaurants I have eaten at. My go-to dishes are the Teriyaki Chicken & Tonkatsu combo and the Umami Tonkatsu. The Umami Tonkatsu is quite delicious (as long as you like onions), with just the right amount of spiciness. I have also tried the sweet and sour pork and the mongolian beef and enjoyed both of those dishes. There is a large variety of drinks, including beer and bubble tea. The workers are very friendly and I have never had to wait very long for my food. I definitely recommend stopping at Umami if you are looking for some Teriyaki in the Mukilteo area.

Fresh made noodles made by the owner, need I say more? The noodles were firm and a little bit chewy, which you don't get from ready made noodles that most restaurants serve. I love their unique Spicy Seafood Noodles, the broth was excellent! My little son who is a picky eater loved their ramen and finished it. We also tried the sweet and sour pork which was battered perfectly and the sauce was not overtly sweet- perfect! The place is tucked away but it's worth the search for this place.

So I have to say that my family and I are regulars here. Each time I go I try something else on the menu and I have not been disappointed. The mongolian beef never lets me down. The meat is so tender. Did I mention the portions are larger than most other teriyaki restaurants, plus the prices are very competitive and even lower than other locations in the area. The Umami Tonkatsu is a breaded pork cutlet with a spicy onion sauce. Love how crispy the cutlet was prepared. The surprise dish I love is the spicy garlic chicken wings. The wings are mixed in a delicious, thick garlic sauce that when I finished the wings, I poured the sauce over my rice and essentially had another meal. We truly go here about once a week to enjoy our family night out!

My family and I were in the area, yelped teriyaki. and picked this place becuase it had 5 stars. I am sad to say I was disappointed. I am giving it three stars based on the pros (see below), otherwise I would only give it two stars based on the taste of the food. PRO: HUGE portions (good deal for the price). You can easily feed two people off one plate. CON: I've had WAY better chicken teriyaki and pineapple chicken in other places. It lacked flavor....even after I tried adding some of their extra sauces on top. CON: Fox News was playing on the TV in the dining area. PRO: Friendly service and the place was so clean. Even the ladies room was spotless!

This was my first time trying umami. They have amazing service. The staff is very professional and prompt. Food came out really quick. I had the gyoza for a starter. Some of the best gyoza I've ever had. I had the tonkatsu for my entree. It was really crisp with awesome dipping sauce. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good Asian restaurant. Prices are really good too!

We just found this place on Yelp a few weeks back and ordered some food to go! I can't quite remember what I ordered.. I believe we had the brocolli beef (which husband loved) and I had a chicken teriyaki. We also ordered chomein noodles, which were to die for! You could tell they were fresh and made right there in the place! They were DELICIOUS. We will definitely be eating here again.

Sooo not impressed which makes me sad because they are a 10 min walk from my office. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with egg rolls. My egg rolls tasted fishy (not the good kind of fishy) like maybe they haven't changed their grease in a looooong time. I tried drowning them in sweet n sour - no dice. Chicken was unimpressive. Sauce was very runny and there was a huge puddle of it in my salad which they put in the same container as the hot food (which I find annoying). I thought I was careful with the bag but maybe not so no deduction there. Maybe they do better at Japanese so I will give them a second chance sometime and order something different.

We love this place! I've tried a ton of things on the menu and almost all of them were super yummy. Jarrett is obsessed with their spicy Umami chicken, orders it every time, and is never disappointed. Their prices are great: we can get 2 dinners, appetizers, and my diet coke for under $30. They are quick and always friendly. The only downside is they are closed every Monday. Their teriyaki isn't the best I've had but they are a great place for a quick meal or take out.
