4 stars.....barely. Links course: Layout is relatively challenging. Good bunkering and hazards....enough to keep it interesting. Almost the entire course is lined with houses, some fairly close to the course, so detracts from the experience a bit. A lot of the fairways seem to have a turf disease at the moment. Tees and greens are good. Drier than woodlands during a rainy spell. Woodlands: Usually closed in the winter. Always wet with a lot of sloppy areas in the fairways. Used to be more serene with not as many houses lining the course, but that is no longer the case....massive home buildup in the last year. Otherwise, challenging/lengthy layout. Tees and greens are good. If it is dry I would play this course over the Links. Harder (longer distance between holes) to walk...almost need a cart. Practice areas are so-so. No real chipping / bunker area. Staff is fairly friendly/accomodating. Get out before 9am on the weekend or it slows to a crawl. I appreciate the course for its location/value...concerned about the current shape of the fairways.

This was a great course and customer service was very good. The pro shop gave me a break on price and the Woodlands course was in great shape. Cart girl was very polite and courteous.

Friendly staff and decent layout. I don't recommend playing unless you take a cart. Some holes are 300 yards apart between tee and green. Tons of housing construction along course. Rough and tee boxes are burnt out in the summer.

Course was in spectacular condition, and provided a challenge for my low single digit handicap. Each hole was different then the last, and required different types of shots to make par. As I said previously, the layout is punishing, but it isn't unfair. You make a poor shot, you're going to pay for it, but you don't come away feeling like you got cheated. The practice facilities here are top notch as well. They have two driving ranges, both grass and very well maintained. Large putting greens ensure you're not going to be putting into someone the entire time, and the chipping area is vast. I wish I lived closer to this facility because I'd be there often working my skills. TIP: Check online to find screaming good deals.

The Woodlands course is challenging with fun character. The par 5 holes are difficult even for the long hitters. The Links course is more straight forward, plays a bit shorter than the Woodlands and much easier to walk. Both courses are tops in the Olympia area and reasonably priced.
