Love them. So good. Staff is fantastic. We go 3 times a week.

Located in downtown Kirkland, this place is a gem. The staff members are very enthusiastic and willing to help. Don't be afraid to sample a few flavors, you'll be glad you did. It's little shop, so not much seating inside, but that's not really a big issue. The small gets you 2 flavors, and it's pretty generous. If you just want one flavor, I recommend getting the kid's size. This little shop is perfect for a night stroll through lovely downtown Kirkland!

Great Gelato! Awesome service, always with a smile and friendly conversation. Pleasant serving attitudes from the employees always willing to allow people to try multiple flavors and make suggestions of good gelato combos. Price is fair, service fast and friendly. There can be a wait sometimes out the door but the lines move quickly. Worth the wait! We'll be back often!

I love love love gelato. I love ice cream even more. But we're focusing on gelato here. Sirena has a lot of basic flavors which is nice. The gelato has a good texture - signature chewy goodness. The flavors are subtle but noteworthy. It's very basic and laid back inside. No fuss. I will definitely be back.

Well, it's Kirkland, so...guess what? It's trying a little too hard with the superficial stuff. The place looks like it wants to be an old Victorian-style gentleman's club the first couple seconds you glance in the window. There's all this dark wood behind the case, so it feels more like a bar with a schmancy barback than it does a gelato joint. Then you notice all the frail little don't-get-too-comfortable chairs and tables and you realize it is, in fact, a gelato joint. It's right in the little side alley of downtown Kirkland. There's a great little promenade vibe here, with chicanes in the street and lots of families churning through if it's not too late. There are tons of restaurants nearby. Some of them are even kinda decent. They have about 20 flavors, and about a million very sweet and friendly Kirkland kids working behind the case giving you tastes of them. Between us we had little scoops of the sea salt caramel (like a big sloppy buttery kiss), chocolate (dense and intense), lemon (admirably bright, acidic, and tart, in addition to the sweetness) and hazelnut (sweet, creamy, perfectly balanced). They have slabs of main ingredients sitting on top of the gelato in each tray--even the lemon. They're clearly indicating that they do not care if acidic lemon juice drizzles into the gelato, because it already has some. They were all intense and satisfying. I could probably eat a whole bowl of the lemon. They don't offer waffle cones, just waffle cups out of a box, sugar cones out of a box, and little cardboard cups. The spoons are these goofy little see-through plastic paddles that Barbie uses at rowing practice. Prices were good, service was super friendly, there are tons of benches right outside, and the gelato was the equal of Fainting Goat or D'Ambrosio IMO. I'll be back when life directs me on a gelato quest again.

High quality gelato that's handcrafted to the Italian tastebud. The flavors change daily so there will always be a new flavor to try when you stop by. The service is exceptional as they treat each customer with respect and politeness as if you were family. My favorite flavors are Apple, Raspberry, and Mango.

  • Andrew K.

Really hard to go wrong here. Great gelato, some random high school kid that's entirely too nice to be working in the service industry and a frequent scooper card. Prices are reasonable and... IT'S GELATO. Go eat dinner at the Lodge or Hector's or the Thai place and then go get gelato.

  • Serdar Y.

This is hands down the best gelato in seattle area. Their coconut, dark cocoa and hazelnut are my favorite. Highly recommended!!

Amazing natural taste Turkish hazelnut to die for. My fiance says loves Turkish nuts well yeah I am Turkish lol

  • Chris O.

Cute spot, clean, friendly help. Good gelato. The cones are a disappointment though, the American kid kind, I'd prefer a sugar cone thanks. They should advertise the kid size but they don't. It's plenty for me let alone a kid.

Such a cute little place packed with huge flavors and excellent service! After a late dinner, my boyfriend and I were craving some sort of sweet but couldn't find any place that was open. After seeing a couple happily eating their gelato, we immediately asked where they got it from and they pointed us in the direction. Sirena Gelato is small and would certainly be easy to miss if there wasn't always a crowd of people around! Aside from the excellent gelato, I really cannot emphasize enough what great service they have. Last time I was there the girl that rang us up genuinely took the time to inquire about our evening. Most places these days just want patrons in and out, but there is definitely a sense of family when you go here. Thank you for always giving us a great experience!

The turkish hazelnut was really yummy! Better than froyo and costcos cheap gelato. Only 7 bucks for a pint !

  • Katherine C.

The texture on the gelato was awesome. Had the lemon and the dark chocolate. Very tasty combo believe it or not. The lemon was nice and tart. The chocolate was very rich. Each provided a nice contrast for my two flavor pick. The gelato was creamy and smooth. Not icy at all. I really enjoyed the lemon the best. Had such a nice zing and overall just a great texture.

  • Vahagn M.

Best ice cream ever had. It has an unusual creamy fine texture, very different from conventional ice cream. Always stopping by when nearby.

  • Harmony W.

The best! Most authentic true Italian style and local ingredients when in season. DELICIOUS!

I heart pistachio gelato! So yummy on a hot northwest day.

  • Wesley W.

The thing that struck me most about Sirena Gelato was the amount of flavor they pack into their gelato. Every flavor tastes like the real thing - the banana had the creamy subtle banana taste, the lemon is tart and acidic, and the peach is sweet and fruity. The only downside is the price. There are plenty of other ice cream/gelato places around Seattle that are far more generous with their portions. Also, they don't have fresh made waffle cones, which is a bit of a deal-breaker.

  • Rhonda M.

Wonderful gelato with new flavors all the time. The folks working there are very friendly. The coffee flavor is made with Rococo coffee (from right across the street)--It makes me so happy to know that they are supporting other local businesses.

    (5)
  • Gibran H.

Really good, rich gelato. The cacao coffee flavor and dark cocoa flavors are our favorites (They have about 12 flavors). They also do this really good dessert where they put 2 scoops of ice cream in coffee. The portions are a good size for the price, however the shop is pretty small and there is limited seating.

This place is the best gelato, and their staff is always extremely helpful and friendly.

  • Kayla M.

Love this place! Every time I go in, not only is the service fast and friendly but the gelato is DELICIOUS. Ashleigh has helped me twice now-she is extremely knowledgeable and makes me feel instantly welcomed. I have always been offered samples of flavors, and ingredients when I was curious. LOVE IT.

I love gelato. I may even love it more than Frozen Yogurt. I love how light and creamy it is, and all the great flavor combos you can find. My all-time favorite will always be tiramasu. Every time i have been to Italy, I basically ate gelato daily. I have been to the original location of Sirena in the Fairhaven area of Bellingham, and I have been to this location a couple times when walking around downtown Kirkland. It's ok, but I would honestly say it's sadly some of the most disappointing geltao I have ever had. I mean, it's gelato, so it's still good, and I will continue to go here because of it's super convenient location, but I don't love it. I think the oreo is the best flavor I have had so far. I like the fact that it is a local business, and the employees are really nice, but I have tried quite a few flavors, and none of them have wowed me.

  • Winnie T.

I'm a big cheapskate and forking out $4 for two tiny scoops of ice cream has never been my thing. But then here comes Sirena Gelato, with its handmade icy treats and buy-ten-get-one-free stamp cards. Holy moley just take my wallet and hand over the goods! The pistachio and hazelnut are my favorites. I honestly still have a ton of flavors to try but the pistachio tastes like someone just ground the nuts in the back room and infused it into the 'cream. When I'm in the mood to spoil myself, you will find me here!

    (5)
  • Elle G.

I'm in l.o.v.e. with Sirena's extremely smooth and flavorful gelato. It's a great location in downtown Kirkland, a perfect treat if you're having dinner in the area and can easily be eaten while walking along the Kirkland waterfront. My concoction usually includes their french vanilla, coffee, and chocolate oreo flavors but I usually end up picking off my bf's salted caramel scoops. It is just too delicious to resist. Definitely come here to treat your taste buds and indulge.

  • Sharon K.

Crazy good! Just went for the first time last night, and I left there all googly-eyed. Got a medium, which ended up being a perfect size, and b/c its so dense, its probably even a little more than i "needed". Got a triple scoop medium (you can choose 3 flavors for the medium size): Coconut, Pistachio (OMG!!!) and Coffee. The pistachio was hands-down the most amazing. My bf had the coconut, pistachio and the Black Chocolate. We both agreed that the Black Chocolate was actually a little too intense, and this is from dark chocolate lovers. I tried the Cantalope, and adored it! TRY THIS PLACE! I predict it will become your go-to shop for cold and creamy treats.

Delish, but too pricey for the portion size.

Addendum: I have upped my rating to a 5. I have tried to make my own gelato, and failed miserably; it is much more difficult than it looks, props to you sirena, you deserve the 5 stars. I was unaware of the healthful properties of gelato over ice cream until I met the owner here. You too? Don't be afraid to ask, he has quite the reservoir of knowledge about it, and Napoleon actually; the French guy, not the flavor. I do like it when someone knows what they're selling. As to the gelato itself, my favorite is the Coconut, and I like to pair it with the dark chocte one whose name escapes me at the moment. I like to come here when I am in town and in the mood for dessert. Which is just about always. Now to articulate my rating: The gelato itself is a solid 5, even more stars would be awarded if it were possible. I have not yet found a flavor that I do not enjoy. The customer service would be a 4. while the owner himself and the occasional appearance of his cousin are enjoyable especially in their knowledge of gelato, the emphatic belief that it is truly better than anything else on the planet, and their attempts to convince me of this truth, the rest of the staff, while pleasant, are not over the top amazing, which would result in a 5. The store itself is small, which leads to cramped quarters especially in warm weather, but it's downtown Kirkland, where there is not a lot of space to spare, so I am empathetic to their plight. So my review would be probably a 4.5 stars, with the willingness to increase if my next experiences here are any better than the last few good experiences I had there.

I haven't had gelato this flavorful and creamy since I was in Europe. Their Black Cocoa is like brownie batter- perfect for dark chocolate fans. And the Tukish Hazlenut is delicate and amazingly delicious. I tried a soon of almost everything, and will going back for scoops of peach, coconut, raspberry, pistachio, salted caramel, coffee, lemon....well, everything. Addendum: I forgot to mention that the service is also fantastic. The folks behind the counter aren't just friendly, they're patient- they will answer your questions, make recommendations, chat about the business and the gelato, recommend places to hang out in Kirkland....they feel more like neighbors than retail employees! I also LOVE that they use local, organic products (like coffee nibs from Rococo roastery down the street, and fresh fruit from local growers), have compost-friendly cups, and can tell you exactly where their ingredients come from.

It was good. Not crazy good, but will hit the spot when you need it to!

  • Melissa G.

I'm picky with my ice cream/gelato and Sirena did NOT disappoint. The salted caramel gelato was AMAZING- smooth and velvety texture with a caramel flavor that didn't come on too strong and wasn't overly sweet. The hint of salt adds some sass to this delicious concoction. We will definitely be visiting again! Hats off to you Sirena!

  • Jeanne Z.

The gelato here is simply delicious! All the flavors here are made from fresh ingredients and they have numerous flavors. I've tried the vanilla bean, hazelnut, raspberry, mango, and caramel- they were all so yummy. Other flavors include pina colada, peanut butter, cotton candy, cake batter, chocolate, and lemon. The girls who work here are always so friendly. There are a few tables and chairs to sit on inside, but my husband and I love eating our gelato on the park benches outside.

  • Rana H.

I have had gelato from many highly rated places in San Francisco, Vancouver, LA, etc., and this place is right up there with the best of them. Well-chosen and delicious flavors, good texture, beautiful location (good to walk around with gelato in-hand, maybe get some coffee at Zoka), and very patient and friendly employees. After tasting many flavors, I would highly recommend the Turkish Hazelnut (very creamy and perfectly hazelnutty) and Pistachio-they use real ground pistachio, not the icky extract! Hope this place stays around for a long time, because I'll definitely be back again.

  • Masha J.

I came in here yesterday with a friend. The atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable. The decor is pleasant and sophisticated without feeling elitist. It's not bright and in your face like the new fro-yo additions in the other parts of downtown Kirkland. I wasn't able to meet the manager, but the girl working the store at the time was so sweet. I tried the strawberry gelato and it was delicious -- smooth, perfectly dense (not too heavy, not too light) and very flavorful. I only had one scoop but that was plenty for me -- and for $2, it makes for a nice little treat to enjoy while walking around the nearby park. I'll be coming back again to try other flavors (and maybe to get more punches in the punchcard that they offer), but I'm sure they're just as delicious as the one I tried.

  • R K.

My first official review on Yelp! This place is awesome. I love the fact that they are open late (10 PM everyday I believe) which makes it a nice late night walk and enjoy a nice Gelato experience. The flavors are great and the staff (generally young kids :)) are helpful and friendly. The prices are really reasonable (smallest size is about $4). The only downside I guess is that even their smallest size has two scoops (a good problem to have) :) They also have a punch-card for those who frequent the store... hmmn... I should go again soon! :)

  • Sequoya L.

This is the best gelato - hands down. The shop is adorable, with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and the gelato is AMAZING! I have had most of the flavors there and each one has been rich, creamy and divine. The Dutch Chocolate is well paired with either the coffee (which they roast locally), the lemon or the salted caramel... I guess any of the many flavors they offer would go well with it! By the taste of it, you wouldn't know that it is less caloric than ice-cream - since it is a million times better!

  • Jen B.

Amazingly smooth and delicious gelato. Every time they have a new flavor I can't get over how spot on it tastes to whatever its called. Cantaloupe? Yeah, it tastes exactly like you are eating cantaloupe and the same goes for every other flavor they have. Nice location, super friendly staff, and high quality ingredients. I really enjoy eating at this place, especially on a beautiful summer day in downtown Kirkland.

    (5)
  • Nelson Y.

Decent prices ~$4 for a small cup with 2 flavors, great location with a lot of foot traffic (this will be a hit this coming summer), but small selection and could use a better ambiance (something more Italian)...

    (4)
  • Margaret W.

Excellent stop tonight! Went there with a party of six and they where very accommodating for a smaller place. The gelato is phenomenal. There was only one girl working but she was great allowing us tastes of whatever we wanted to try. The employee was very busy getting crows coming in waves but she handled it wonderfully. I had the pistachio gelato which was delicious but have to say I tasted their very berry and lemon sorbet which are A++. You won't be sorry you walked into this place, it's great

  • Lori F.

This place is AMAZING! We arrived around 7pm on a Friday and the place was packed! Made it to the front of the line and sampled a few of their chocolate gelatos... finally decided on the dutch chocolate. My oh my it was delicious! The menu shows a minimum amount of 2 scoops for roughly $4... however when I asked for 1 scoop it was not a problem and he charged me for a kiddo size. I think the only downfall would be that there are bascially 2-3 tables in there to sit at...the place is super tiny! We will definitely be back in the summer when we can take the gelato to go! Yum!

    (5)
  • Jan L.

Yummy gelato place in Kirkland...wish I had discovered this place during summer but now that its fall...my cravings for cold treats is a bit subdued. One thing is for sure, when the weather turns warm again or I'm just looking for something cold and delicious, this place will be at the top of my list! Their pistachio and salted caramel flavors were sublimely unique...and I've have all kinds of pistachio and salted caramel flavored treats before too! Love the fact that they open late, esp in the downtown Kirkland area...its a great place to get dessert after having dinner with friends at the other lovely establishments in that area.

I am a proud University of Washington alumnus, so I flew up for the UW-UH game a little over a month ago. (UW won btw!) I heard from a friend of mine that ice cream was so passé, and gelato was superior in every way. This friend is usually full of it, but I decided to give it a try anyway. This was a fantastic decision on my part. Evidently, gelato is better for you since there is less cream and filler in the final product. I have no idea how that is the case, but I can tell you this... gelato tastes better than ice cream. Period. I had the good fortune to try the pistachio flavor, and it was so refreshing, I went a second time, and I was only up for the weekend. A friendly staff, fantastic price, and excellent (and surprising) product equals five stars. Give it a shot, and you will never go to Baskin Robbins or Coldstone again.

    (5)
  • Dusty R.

The range and depth of flavors is amazing! From fruity to tangy, and smooth to OMG :} A nice place to hang out and people and dog watch. Super friendly staff and with fresh product each day, just an amazing treat. They even let you sample the gelato, so try not to slobber, it gets embarrassing!

    (5)
  • Karen Q.

We had gelato here, then at the place at Bellevue Square - so now we know this is the better of the two. Compared coconut at both places, and this one was much creamier and had a more intense coconut flavor, including savory bits of coconut. The other seemed a tad gritty and had too many bits of coconut that seemed to interrupt the creaminess. This is our new fave.

    (4)
  • Larissa W.

I want to give this place a 3.5. Service is great, and the place seemed really cute and homey. I had two flavors today, which were the rococo coffee and the popcorn. I liked how the gelato wasn't too sweet, but I wish it was creamier and richer. I also sampled the hazelnut flavor, and I felt like it sort of lacked depth in terms of its aroma. Overall it was pretty decent, and I wouldn't mind coming back.

    (3)
  • Jeff M.

This is the third one of their stores that I've been to and, just like the other two, just awesome Gelato. So rich and creamy. So damn good. The only drawback to this one is the layout of the store. If there's a line, you have to squeeze between the people ordering and a wall to get to the back of the line. Not sure how the could fix it, but don't let it stop you from getting in line. It's well worth it.

    (5)
  • D K.

Amazing service, selection and gelato. Very friendly workers. 10+ different flavors, ranging from lemon to Oreo. Got the Oreo and hazelnut (can choose 2 flavors for a small). The small is about a fistful, so it very small at all!! I'll definitely be visiting again.

    (5)
  • Alyssa O.

My parents, my boyfriend and I would always come here for some delicious gelato. I love how it's not that pricey and I'm always hooked on their Turkish Hazelnut gelato. Sometimes they have Oreo, sometimes they don't. I just hope they would include Nutella on their menu.

    (5)
  • Ell C.

Your toughest decision of the day will be choosing which flavor gelato to walk out with! Seating is sparse especially on a summer evening. Thus a walk lakeside with gelato in hand is essential to the full experience!

    (4)
  • Nora S.

Not too impressed. It's pricey like all touristy gelato shops in downtown areas. The flavors were very weak and the texture not too impressive. I've had much better gelato at other places.

    (2)
  • Lemme K.

This was an awesome place to go for a hot day, and thats what we did. It wasnt packed but pretty busy, and the place was pretty small. We sampled a few of the selections but at the end, i chose the slow roasted pistachio and the thai coconut. The portion was pretty big but it was on the higher side in term of price. Service was pretty good. Overall, i would come back again. The only reason i didnt give 5 stars is because there flavors were limited and it wasnt anything special.

  • Brenda L.

I had a great experience here. There was one person serving when me and some friends got there on a Sunday night. She was very patient, had a great attitude, and gave great recommendations since we were pretty indecisive. You can also get a kid scoop here, which is smaller than the small size that they have. That ended up being the perfect amount for me. I recommend the pistachio, coffee, and Oreo flavors! So delicious.

    (5)
  • Sachi W.

The best gelato in the eastside. Favorites are stracciatella, cake batter, chocolate hazelnut. Great service and location, we usually go here when we make it downtown (and we live in the area). Be sure to get their punch card, buy 10, get 1 free.

    (5)
  • Kayla H.

Delicious gelato! Finally stopped in here on a sunny evening after dinner. I love gelato. The line was a little bit long since everyone else had the same idea but it was worth the wait. I got mine in a waffle bowl which was delicious too. Definitely will be back.

  • Jenny M.

Our favorite local gelato spot. They're very accommodating with samples have have excellent sorbettos! The hazelnut is aromatic and so satisfying. They're great with kids here, too.

  • Kerri J.

I always love coming here, and have never been disappointed. The gelato is delicious, and the people working are always more than happy to give you samples of flavors that you want to try. Even when it seems crowded service is quick, and super friendly. Every time I come in here one of the girls working always compliments something and they ask you how your day has been/if you worked/what are you up to/etc. Very warm and welcoming. They switch up some of the flavors but keep a handful of anchors that you can expect to see everytime which I think is nice. The serving size is smaller here vs coldstone or a standard ice cream place, but I can finish two scoops without feeling like I'm going to explode which is nice, because I always want more than one flavor. Two scoops also runs around 5 dollars ish which I feel is a little expensive for the amount your getting, but I really like the gelato here so it doesn't stop me. The gelato is super smooth and creamy, not icy or flavorless at all. There isn't a whole lot of seating inside but who goes to an ice cream place or to Kirkland to sit inside. They have a little pitcher of water with small dixie cups which is a nice alternative to a water fountain. they have little punch cards here so make sure to ask for one if you frequent the place. Definitely a good place to try, this place of choice if I'm looking for a treat down at the waterfront.

  • Chris P.

What a disappointment! I was looking forward to some really good gelato and got REALLY low quality ingredients. I had the Oreo gelato pop which instead of good chocolate had magic shell as their topping. Yuk! My friends had the cookie sandwich and the cookie was cheap tasting and stale. They through it out after 2 bites. What a shame.

This is the only place to go for Gelato - the Flavors are absolutely fabulous - service is great and there is AlWAYS a line out the door - but goes pretty fast ! Oh so good

Yum! Stop in and give it a try. The price is right and a small is the perfect amount for one person.

In a word: genuine. Genuine flavors and wonderful people combine to make this my favorite dessert place on the Eastside. I highly recommend raspberry, pan dolce, and oreo.

  • Kyle S.

We go here all the time for dessert. The gelato is really tasty! They are very generous with the serving sizes. We always get a small and they give you the choice of 2 flavors and that is plenty big. Friendly service too. (Sea salt caramel and oreo is a great combo!)

I love that Kirkland does free daytime parking up until 5pm. The town center lot is directly across the street from this gelato shop. The gal behind the counter greeted and assisted me immediately. She let me sample several flavors and was quick to complete my order. The best part was that I was able to get two different flavored scoops for just $4 which seemed like such a bargain compared to other ice cream and gelato shops. I prefer the nutty flavors and chose the Turkish hazelnut and pistachio. There were several seats inside near the window, but I chose the table just outside the door which was great for people watching. Since Kirkland provides free WiFi, I sat there for awhile and took advantage of surfing the web on my iPad too.

I made a quick stop here with my coworkers during lunch to pick up some gelato for our manager's birthday.. and we couldn't have been more satisfied with what we left with! My coworkers got the regular salted caramel, raspberry, pistachio and vanilla. I tried the fat-free, dairy-free lemon and peach. We were all amazed at how good our gelato was! Every single flavor was realllllyyy good and smooth (INCLUDING the non-fat, dairy free ones.. so awesome!) I'll definitely be back to try more flavors, and I think I even saw they have affogato. Yumm.. I want some now just thinking about it :) PROS: - Easy, quick treat and healthier than ice cream :P - Great customer service! The girl who helped us was really nice and patient with all our samples, indecisiveness, etc. - Good location. Maybe not so much parking-wise, but I can't wait to go back when it's warm out to get some gelato to enjoy at the waterfront that's a two minute walk away. - Amazing non-fat, dairy-free gelato! I can't emphasize this enough. I had no idea gelato without fat or milk could taste.. so.. good. CONS: - Street parking. - Kinda pricey? Might be normal for gelato though, almost $4 for a small? I actually don't know. However, see tip below! - Limited seating inside. I think there's only enough seating for four inside? and maybe four outside too. - Addicting. TIP- Purchase by the pint! It's a better deal ($6ish) and you can fill up the pint with as many flavors as you want. Share it with others (it's caring) or enjoy it all by yourself, you won't regret it!

Gelato that is egg and dairy free??? AWESOME!! I had a small and mixed the lemon and guava flavor and was pretty stoked with the result. They also have homemade Haagen Daaz style ice cream bars which is kind of awesome. Great place to pop in for gelato during this warm weather season :)

    (4)
  • Neil B.

I thought the staff was very warm and kind considering I was indecisive on what I wanted to purchase. The flavors range from standard vanilla and chocolate, to more unique flavors such as popcorn. I am more of a traditionalist and got french vanilla and cake batter (well not too traditional). It was bomb!!!!!!!! I"m coming back for sure bruh!!!

    (5)
  • Denise L.

So rich and so creamy. They give you giant scoops, which is great, but I can never finish my cup (which is awesome for whoever is with me). Hazelnut is my favorite! Reminds me of ferrero rochers :)

  • Yavnika K.

I don't want it (no, I do). I don't. I do. Husband gets a scoop- knowing I do want gelato. My hunt for good gelato in the area was finally over with a dark chocolate cone on one Wednesday evening at Sirena's. Their scoops are generous and can be finished over several happy slurps. Go try!

Best gelato we've had anywhere outside of Italy. The Oreo gelato is my favorite, but we haven't tried a disappointing flavor. The staff is friendly and generous with samples.

  • Edithmar A.

Getting better! They rotate the flavors. Some of them are seasonal, so their is always something new to try at Sirena. Great value for a high quality product.

Really good Gelato; best I had in Seattle. The only place I had better Gelato than this place was in Italy itself. The flavors I tried were Pistachio and Hazelnut Chocolate. It was yummy. I am going to go back after dinner to get another serving.

Great spot for a cup of gelato for your walk around Kirkland's waterfront. This place has a good selection of flavors, ranging from heavy chocolate to lemon citrus. I ordered a small cup of lemon and sangria; I highly recommend the lemon gelato!! The lemon flavor has a nice kick of sourness and reminds you of the homeland for lemon gelato--the Amalfi Coast. The sangria flavor was more of a wild berry or maybe a fruit punch, which was a little disappointing, but overall wasn't too bad. I will be coming back here for summers to come. There are so many good flavors, and on my next visit I will be trying the pistachio and Thai coconut. Tip: Although 2 small scoops may seem too small, these rich flavors most definitely make up for the size.

I am not the icecream type, in fact, I take my coffee hot on the hottest of Summer days but I love this place! I can easily do 4 scoops and not even feel guilty about it. Pistachio and the Hazelnut are my absolute favorites :)

SOOOOOOOO GOOD!!! Some friends were in town and wanted to get some ice cream and asked for recommendations nearby so I turned to Yelp. Most ice cream places were closed as it was late Sunday evening (aside from baskin robbins and coldstone) and I'm so glad they were as that left us with Sirena Gelato which was open late. The gals working there were really warm and friendly and seemed happy to be there which makes the experience that much better. A small gets you two huge scoops and you can even pick two different flavors. I don't think you can go wrong with any flavor at Sirena Gelato. I got the Turkish Hazelnut and Pistachio - YUM so amazing! Excellent customer service, easy parking, good location, delicious gelato--what else can you ask for? Oh and it's cheap and they have punchcards! We also purchased a pint to take home (only $6!!). Will definitely be back and hopefully on a warm day so we can walk over to the waterfront which is super close. Based on other Yelp reviews, this place gets really busy...we went around 730PM on a chilly, rainy Sunday and had no wait. But this gelato is worth the wait so I'll happily wait in line for this on a sunny, warm day!

I love this place! From the top down, every employee is friendly, kind, and helpful. We stop by whenever we're in Kirkland. Do yourself a favor and get the Turkish Hazelnut. No place better for a sweet treat.

Delicious ice cream, adorable locale! I went with my father and we loved it! Perfect for a warm summer day!

The hazelnut and pistachio are simply out of this world! Love the super rich sea salt caramel. They don't miss the mark with the fruit flavors either. The peach is full and juicy while the lemon had a great refreshing and light bite to it. The fairly young staff keeps calm and smiling even when the line goes out the door. Whoever does the hiring should give seminars to other businesses around town!

Mangia! Mangia!! Really amazing gelato!! I really am not a gelato aficionado or anything, but I have learned that there shouldn't be crystals in it and it should have a really rich flavor... and the gelato here fits the bill! I wasn't hesitant to ask for tastes of a few flavors and I'm glad I did just to try the variety they offered (not 31 flavors or anything, but they had maybe 14 or so -- I only tried a few... next time! ha!). I was most intrigued by the lemon because I LOVE lemon (I'll even eat it straight!), and it was nice and tart but also a bit sweet too. The small is 2 big ol' scoops and even though I was so enticed by the lemon, I do wish I had 2 different flavors because it became overwhelming and I was unable to finish my cup. Lemon and chocolate would have been a good pairing. The coconut was pretty darn tasty too... all refreshing... all amazing! The lady behind the counter was friendly and knowledgeable about the product too. We arrived close to opening so it wasn't really crowded which was nice. There isn't a ton of seating, but we lucked out being there so early. It's also an easy treat to walk with if you want. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a gelato craving again, and when I do, Sirena is THE PLACE to go! Yum!!

This is, hands down, the best place to get ice cream and my absolute favorite gelato shop! I love the butterfinger, coffee bean, and Dutch chocolate flavors. The staff is always so friendly, too. Fro-yo just tastes disgusting after trying the gelato here. You will not be disappointed!!

Delicious! It's a small place, so when it's busy, it's REALLY busy. But it's totally worth it on a hot day when you're craving something cold and yummy. Located between two stores, someone would be likely walk by it and never know. But I hope you don't miss this place because it's a tasty treat!

Like: My absolute FAVORITE Sirena Gelato is their Pan Dolce, which is basically a "Birthday Cake" flavored cake batter gelato equipped with sprinkles and sunshine. They use fresh and natural ingredients which is hard to come by when it comes to dessert. This truly makes them number one in my book and I will never look at gelato the same again. They have definitely set the bar as to what gelato should taste like. The pistachio, chocolate and butter toffee flavored gelati are also top flavors i recommend. Sirena Gelato is the EPITOME of PERFECTION when it comes to Gelato. They just newly reopened AND rebranded after renovating over the winter and I must say, it is a beautifully decorated wholesome little shop that serves delicious quality gelato with happy smiles. Their newly rebranded logo has a fresh new take on their classic "Sirena Mermaid" logo and the typography used is impeccable- this adds a modern flare to their newly branded boutique. Whoever redesigned their logo must be a mastermind because it's a brilliantly designed graphic. The PRESENTATION of their gelato in their shop is a DESSERT in ITSELF. The vibrant colors, toppings and decorative descriptions make it hard not to try each and every one of their flavors and they're happy to treat you to each and every one them with a smile. :) They also have a Bellingham location, where they established their very first gelato cafe and it must have been quite a success because they decided to open one in Downtown Kirkland! I've been to this location and the woman that works there, Melissa, is just a SWEETHEART. They also have free-wifi at both locations and are open till 9 mon-sat and open till 5 on sundays so it's a great hangout for reading the news on your tablet, working on your laptop, catching up with friends, etc etc.. and so convenient enough to have mini-gelato breaks in between. Oh, and did i fail to mention- the Manager of this particular hidden gelato gem is quite a handsome fellow. This ALONE, should be reason enough to drop by and have a taste. ;)

Silky Gelato All nut flavors are good choice. The line comes and goes. So, just hang it there. It's worth a little wait.

Wonderful gelato with top-notch customer service! We had Turkish hazelnut, Oreo and Mediterranean flavors and which were all awesome. You can really taste the fresh ingredients! Love this place and their family-run environment. Will definitely return!

Sirena is a new hot spot in Kirkland. The owner is adorable and is always willing to listen to my flavor suggestions. The staff are friendly and swift, even though the ordering can be a bit confusing. They have awesome Gelato-bars on Popsicle sticks and super cookies. The shop is always clean and the store hours are great for kids as well as post-date fun.

Very refreshing to have more treat choices in Kirkland. This place rules. Sorry Ce Fiore, but you are in my rearview mirror now. Sirena Gelato reigns supreme for a cold treat. The staff is awesome, friendly, fast. My kids love the place. My only complaint is the config of the space. With the little space I'm not sure how to improve, but on a busy day the line flow isn't great. But the tasty treats make up for it.

The giant gelato cookies will make you feel like your 8 years old and on your way to Disney Land. Also, the Thai Cocunut and Pistachio are amazing! I came here with my 2 year old puppy and they even had a treat ready for her!

I have yet to have a bad flavor or a bland flavor...salted caramel, butterfinger, toasted almond and lemon are YUMMY! Get a single scoop and feel a little less guilty about this treat!

I wish I could give this place 6 stars but 5 is the max. Sirena gelato has by far the best flavors of gelato out of any of the places I've been to. This place is the sh*t!

Gelato is great, staff is very nice and friendly, and while the place is a bit small and awkward to walk around in, you're only going to get your gelato and walk around outside anyway, right? We went a couple times and my boyfriend already filled up a stamp card! LOL. We'll be back for more sweets soon!

This place is wonderful! My husband loves the birthday cake flavor, I am a sucker for any of the berry ones and my BFF loves their caramel. Really...they are all fantastic and they is something for everyone.

I was very excited to see Sirena open the Kirkland location. As some of the others on here have commented, the staff here really cares about presentation and service - and that's in addition to being passionate about making high quality gelato. They nail it on all counts, on a daily basis. When you stop by, chat the manager up and chances are you'll learn a little about the gelato process and why Sirena's tastes so delicious. I usually hit the Bellingham location when I'm in WA, but now I have another option during my annual visits to Seattle.

Every time i go to Seattle (almunus of UW) i make sure to stop by at Sirena. The gelato is top notch, the service is efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting. The quality definitely justifies the price. I wish there was one back in Hawaii because i would be there all the time!

Nobody should eat the Gelato here, unless you want to empty your wallet and get addicted to this place. OMG, let me tell you, it's so freak'n good. The Pistachio is to die for.

Their gelatos are good, but very pricey. I ordered a single serving which I thought would be plenty, but was sadly mistaken. The portions are super small, while tasty, are way too expensive. Workers are friendly. Don't know if I'd make another trip here. There has to be cheaper alternatives elsewhere.

Delicious gelato, and a super friendly server. Good assortment of flavors including a coffee flavor that featured beans from a local roaster. Pleasant way to end our vacation in the Seattle area.

Tried two flavors: pink grapefruit and hazelnut. The flavors were great - natural tasting and not too sweet and the texture was dense and smooth. Looking forward to trying more of their flavors!

The coconut is amazing! Service is friendly, place is clean. I don't usually eat ice cream so two scoops is plenty, was getting to be too sweet after the first scoop.

Happened upon this new gelato place on Park Lane in downtown Kirkland and what a find! They're a family-owned joint out of Bellingham. Their son told us on our visit last night, "We need to expand to the city!" and tada - they're in Kirkland now! The Pistaccio gelato was my favorite! The salted caramel was a little too sweet for me, but still good. Just waiting for their espresso man to come out to get their machine running for affogatos!

Oreo Reese's and Dutch chocolate together rock! Very nice staff invited us in as they were closing. Nice to see and gave a great start to the experience.

Good for Kirkland but the gelato is a bit waxy, and heavy. I've had gelato all over the world and am comparing to Grom fr example and others in Italy, NY, Paris, and even Ballard. This ranks low, but don't let that stop you, try the salted caramel. Of the three flavors I tried (strachiatella and pistachio) it was the least waxy/filmy. The others felt heavy and the flavor was one dimensional. Good texture.

    I enjoyed the pistachio gelato

No idea how the gelato tastes because the girl dropped the bucket of used tasting spoons into the glass case and just picked them out of the gelato. She didn't look very surprised (at least not as surprised as I was) so i'm thinking this had happened before.

This is a new place in downtown kirkland. I cannot think of any time I've ever tasted better ice cream or gelato. A young man working there told me they make all the gelato with fresh ingredients, and I believe it. Every flavor i tried was amazing. It was incredibly difficult to settle on even three flavors. I loved the salted caramel. You could taste the salt, without it being overwhelming, as i find some salted caramel treats to be. The toffee was amazing though, probably my favorite. I will try to stop in any time I'm in the area.

What a find! Agree with others that the traffic flow is odd, but it's worth working your way thru the crowd. Lemon sorbet is the best I've had.
