Prior to my first macaron here, I had just come off of a 3-week eating plan that restricted all simple carbohydrates, processed sugar, and limited fruit consumption. Three weeks seems trivial but, trust me, somewhere around the two week mark, your brain is firing off all of the wrong signals so that even the smallest mishaps are amplified and it makes you want to fucking die. After the month drew to a close, I was ready to uncage the sugar-deprived barbarian within and 'cause #treatyoself. You could say my palette was primed to test all of the flavors and accurately assess them like an expert (apparently, having a macaron in France makes you one). But my taste buds were SQUEAKY CLEAN and not muddled with that knock-off Seattle macaron shit. These little sugar nuggets that are barely half the size of my palm are the best I've had. I felt like a toddler having its nuts explode after eating its first Halloween candy. The macarons taste exactly like how they are described. My personal favorites are the Chocolate Mint and the Toasted Coconut. Nothing too kinky. The enjoyment is in its inherent simplicity; the macarons are lightly crispy on the outside and perfectly soft in the center. Their shop is maintained well and reminiscent of a clothing boutique with lots of specialty, expensive merchandise to purchase. It appeals to the rich and elite, waterfront property, camel-toed sad housewife in me that will never come to fruition.

Lady Yum reminded me of why I love being a female (you know, it's hard to remember why it's great sometimes. Ladies, you know what I'm talking about). Everything is pretty and colorful, everything is perfectly organized and laid out, and everything is DELICIOUS. Although I've only visited Lady Yum once, I definitely do plan on going back again! This time I tried the s'mores macaron, blueberry tangerine macaron, and the oatmeal macaron. my favorite of the 3 was the oatmeal macaron. I still kick myself for not getting the special Seahawks 12th man vanilla bean macaron. The blonde lady working at the front counter was very friendly and helpful as well. That was a great plus! Thank you for bringing absolutely delicious and natural tasting macarons to the eastside!

I finally got to visit this cute little gem in Kirkland. I LOVE the lady working there. She was sweet, chirpy, and super happy to help. There were so many lovely-looking French macarons. I ended up getting myself 12 assorted macarons. As soon as I walked out of the door, I just had to eat one of them. It was simply heavenly. It was chewy, not overly sweet, but soul-satisfying. I think I might have skipped across the crosswalk... I can't wait to sink my teeth into the remaining 11. They also carry other confectionery as well as some wine. I would LOVE to try more macarons with some bubbly.

So I've waited to decide what my review would be. I am really torn. I had some of her Macs at parties and events and didn't like these one. But when the store opened I really fell in love with a couple flavors. The thing is she just uses other candy like hedgehog toffee which is my favorite locally made toffee from another company or fruity pebbles etc. So it's interesting that it's just a proven candy plus a lot of sugar so of course those ones are good. On one hand the owner is really sweet. On the other hand tho she is very rarely there. It seems like there is too much to juggle and she is offsite. Which brings me to the fact that they are all made offsite and brought in rubber maids into the store. I've seen it many times - tubs and tubs on the counter. Well this became a problem when I ordered the same number of macs I always do and ate them on my drive home like usual and got sick. There is cream filling in half the macs. I contacted the owner, got a read receipt. And she has not replied back to me. We have several friends in common too so I am just surprised by this. Also knowing people who helped fun her thousands of dollars kickstarted campaign it just has an odd feeling now that she isn't really involved or present. The store is cute and I want to be happy for her following her dream And starting this business. It just seems like she's off to the next thing. I get having to juggle a lot as a business owner but especially in a small Community you have to Follow through. THe glass case is handmade and makes me worried every time I take my child into the store. It's huge and heavy and you can tell they just glued the edges together. The bathroom is cute. I like being able to buy candles (made by a local Person) as a gift if I stop by quickly. The odd Changes in days open and hours was confusing to me for the longest time. You don't know if they will be open or decide to close early or late. $2 is expensive and hey are handed to you in a paper bag even if you order 8. I have actually never gotten a plastic container no matter how many I've ordered. Seems not "on brand" With the Paris look of the store. As a side note once I was I on the wine night - unlimited wine or whatever and was pressured to order wine. I had my child With me. Im and in and out customer. No I can't stay for wine. She suggested I drop My son off (where?) and come Back for wine drinking. It felt odd like at the mall When they try to push you to open a credit card or whatever. It was the wrong sales push considering my circumstance and she kept asking. I do like the product. I like sweet and overly sugary. Some people don't but that meant more for me anyway. So anyway I am Just torn about the review. My last interaction was getting sick from the cream filling sitting outside of refrigeration and lack of owner followup. I was very kind with my feedback that I sent about this - namely to ensure others didn't get sick as well.

Lady Yum has changed my life. Their macarons are the best I've had and the reason I started eating macarons regularly (so bad but so good! $1.95 each) I love the consistency/chewiness of the macs and the unique flavors too - salted caramel and oatmeal are my current and probably all time favorites! There's also flavors like s'mores, maple bacon, passion fruit, lemon raspberry/blueberry, amaretto apricot, mint chocolate and more! A few flavors are inspired by local products, which is neat, and the products are available for sale in the shop too. Not only are the macs awesome, but I love the cute shop (chandeliers, chalk boards and white marble table tops!) and the friendly owner, Megan. There's nothing not to like about Lady Yum, except that they're closed Mondays. I'll admit it, I'm addicted. Try Lady Yum for yourself and you'll understand why!

I've downgraded my rating after a meh return visit, plus a separate attempt to create a delivery order. Their website says, "Hand delivery is available to Seattle & the Eastside." Turns out this is not true. But let me back up a bit. They don't answer their phone reliably. Kind of a problem if you're trying to place an order. So I went to their website and filled out the form with my contact information, the address of the law office in downtown Seattle I wanted the delivery to, etc. No reply, so I called a couple more times. Finally someone answers, she says she'll have someone call me right back, but she didn't think they did deliveries. No one ever returned my call, and besides the auto-response from the web form saying they'll get back to you - they don't. I asked in the Yelp Talk forum for suggestions and received the several names of companies that deliver goodies throughout the area. I used Treatbox ( treatboxseattle.com ) because their website made the online ordering process extremely quick and painless. I received an immediate Treatbox order confirmation, later a delivery confirmation - and then word back from the recipient that the cookie assortment was delivered warm out of the oven and was a-mazing. If you've read my reviews you know I sometimes ask my fellow Yelpers to give a business some time to get their legs under them, to get their menu or operations dialed in before judging them too harshly. But most businesses have the fundamentals handled, like answering the phone, or having an accurate website, or returning calls, or responding to web inquiries. The last business I sensed wouldn't make it was Charlie's on S. Lake Street. I'm afraid Lady Yum, selling (or not selling) an expensive trend treat that is now being commoditized by Target and Safeway, may go the way of Charlie (and gourmet cupcake shops). They make a great macaron but that's not enough. To sum up, I have friends coming into town this weekend that visit Kirkland once a year. I'll take them there for a wonderful macaron this year, because, sadly, I don't think the store will be open next year.

Many different flavors all of them delish! Got 15/$30 each one was soft and crisp... I'm torn between this place or rylies cake in kent for best macaroons... I'd probably rate lady yum a bit higher since the macaroons are all the same size and has better packaging... Will be back!!

Super fun place! Staff is phenomenal!! Bottomless champagne for $15 on Tuesday's. The macarons are to die for! This is fun for a girls afternoon or a date night. They also have a few cute gift items. For those that are not huge bubble fans, they also have wine!

4 1/2 stars? The place serves macaroons and wine. That's it. Who is the jack hole who leaves this place a bad review? "Ahh, I came to a macaroon and wine store and was disappointed because..." Well I couldn't come up with a reason because I'm not a jack hole. So seriously the macaroons were to die for and I drink wine, this place is pretty much perfect.

Beautiful and delicious macarons! The shells hold up, and the size is perfect for two bite. Granted two bites will still leave you craving and antsying for more. They stayed delicious and moist on day two too. People who reviewed these macarons to be too sweet, should learn that is two main ingredients. Sugar & Almond flour. If macarons are too sweet for you, you should look into getting a different desert. Lady yum's has been the best macaron I have eaten in a long time. I don't remember Laduree's right now, but I think they are comparable. I love how they are open late! :D And beautiful small shop. Some of my favorites: toffee! (love the blue color too), salted caramel, passion fruit, lemon & apricot amaretto! Why did I knick off a star? The service wasn't too friendly, but it didn't bother me too much. I was overly excited to try *almost every single flavor they had that day. Which puts me at around 13-14 macarons :P They cost $1.95 per, if you doggie bag style it. Or $2, if you choose to get a box. Kinda mixed up marketing. I would think that Lady Yum would want us to get boxes, so it would help spread her "mark" faster, instead of an unmarked white bag, which could easily crack them wonderful macarons. Highly recommend XD

Never used to like macarons; didn't know what all the fuss was about. But then I tried Lady Yum's macarons, and my whole world changed; I was in love! Couldn't stop thinking about them, kept wanting more! I just love the many interesting, unique, and awesome flavors they have.

Second visit. Tried new flavors. Macarons still good. So this time, I met the ACTUAL owner. She's pretty young in my opinion, so not the lady from my first review. She was super nice and chill. Talked to her about the shop/how long she's been at this macaron thing, and flavors offered. I don't know wsup w/ the other lady before, no bueno. Five stars for macarons and the owner. 3 star for the other lady that worked there. Toasted coconut, apple pie, strawberry, mint chocolate, oatmeal cookie, apricot, passion fruit - good!! S'mores, pear ginger cardamom, salted caramel - just ok.

I live right downtown Kirkland and this is a problem because that means lady yum is way to close. I never knew I loved macaroons so much until I came here. I used to think I hated them but they are so amazing here! Also the store is so freakin adorable. It feels more like it belongs in Ballard not in Kirkland. Way higher standards than everything else in downton Kirkland. Anyway it's a must!

Lady Yum is a beautiful little pastry shop that sells other gift items as well. Their macarons are what they're known for, and they have a bunch of unique flavors that I haven't seen anywhere else. They are about $2 each, but worth a try! I loved the one with bacon, and the pistachio was tasty as well.

Great product, Horrible customer service! I went into to Lady Yum on a Tuesday to make a large purchase for a party. I was told that I needed to go home and make an inquiry online. I proceeded to ask the woman working there a couple questions and she didn't know the answers to any of them and then redirected me to make an inquiry online. I went home and filled out their contact form on their website. I waited until Friday afternoon and called them to see if they received my form, I spoke with a lady who told me that they are transitioning to new management and she is getting caught up. The lady asked me for my name and phone number and she would give it to the manager and have her call me. Well, here we are a week after I went into their store and I still haven't heard back from anyone. It's kind of crazy that I am begging a small business to take my money. Every one At Sweet Cakes in Kirkland ( sweetcakeskirkland.com ) is extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to answer all my questions and take my order immediately....in person or over the phone. Hillary, the woman taking my order, was even coming up with ways to help me save money on my order!

I didn't normally like macaroons and personally think they're overrated.... Until I tried Lady Yum! Yum is the correct work to describe these perfect macaroons. They're so dense and moist. I visited Bottega Louie in LA (they're known for their macaroons) and honestly, they don't even come close to how amazing these are! Must try!

thank you lady yum, i'm now a fan of macarons! but only one flavor (lol!): the cherry rhubarb is a horse of another color! let's back it up, we were in kirkland to check out bottle & bull, came her afterwards on the advise of our friends who SWORE these were the best macarons. i've tried SO many macarons (really, i don't know why i keep trying them), but wasn't yet a fan of them. i think it's the texture. but i do love gifting them; i love how perfectly miniature they are; i love all the beautiful colors and flavors they come in. they seem like the perfect dessert, so personalized and cute. anyway, we wandered on in here just a couple minutes past 10pm (their closing time) and they allowed us to order some of her delectable treats to go. we ordered vanilla bean, mint chocolate, salted caramel, triple chocolate, and a few others (can't recall). the texture is definitely far superior than other macarons i've tried; yet i still wasn't a fan of the flavors. then entered the cherry rhubarb and my macaron veil had been lifted. there is a delicious 'jam' in the center of this one and it just transforms the texture and combination, it's so freaking good! my companions, who are not freaks like me with macarons, actually loved all the flavors! so please don't hesitate to buy each one! i absolutely loved the decor and the attention to detail with the shop. you can do a champagne and macaron tasting; the perfect treat just got more perfect with champagne! there are even gift packages with mini champagne bottles and macarons. then there's all these great treats and additions on her beautifully displayed merchandise wall. it's really a beautiful shop, with beautifully delicious macaroons. and to top it off, madame yum was very friendly and patient, even though we came in after closing. big kudos! what a great place for a date night, girls night, or picking up some cherry rhubarb macarons for yourself. :) thank you lad yum for changing my macaron POV; i'm now a believer. oh yum!

I came on a double-date for some macarons and between the four of us, we tried nearly every flavor. My favorite was the Hedgehog Toffee one. HT is a local toffee that I discovered during last summer's Bellevue Farmers Market. To my wonderful surprise, they also serve champagne here! With shrubs, which is a vinegar-based cocktail mixer. There were about 15 shrub flavors and I went with the fig + honey. The macarons were a bit sweeter than I like, but perfectly shaped with the right pastry and filling texture. The ambiance is quite lovely, with chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and a few cozy tables. The rest of the store is dedicated to retail space, with local food goods on display like jam and honey. I also learned of bottomless champagne Tuesdays for $15, so I'll be back for that soon! It's located right next to Zoka coffee and is in a great downtown location. Worth checking out whether you are a fan of macarons or want to experience the joy-filled cookie sandwiches that are becoming the new "cupcake."

I have never been a fan of macarons - I love to look at them, they're so darned pretty. But to eat? Meh, no thanks. Awhile ago I discovered the earl gray macaron at Fresh Flours in Ballard and WOAH. That thing is amazing enough to make me rethink macarons. So I tried a few others at other places but... Meh. Nope, still not a fan. But again - macarons are SO DARNED PRETTY. So I poked my head into Lady Yum and since hubby and I were the only people in there, I felt rude just staring at the case and walking out - so we each got one. I tried the Chocolate marshmallow hazelnut cream and woah. Lady Yum just won me over. I usually find macarons to be dry and not full of flavor. This thing was like an immensely delicious, chocolate-y brownie (moist and dense) chock full of deep chocolate flavor and the marshmallow & hazelnut cream were soooooo yummy. I may not have a chance to try anything else because I'll keep wanting to get this one. Husband tried something with toffee chips on it (it was bright blue) and he was equally smitten.

Fabulous service that delivers excellent macarons in a wild variety of flavors! My favorites of the dozen we tried were lemon, passion fruit, chocolate chip mint and toffee! We'll be back soon!

I have been dying to try this place for a while now. Great location in downtown Kirkland, although parking can be a bit hairy on the weekends. They have a vast amount of different flavored macaroons, but also lots of little knick knacks, coffee options, and my favorite alcohol! This is a great spot to catch up with friends over a drink and some sweet treats! I opted for the mini bottle of Prosecco (which ends up being close in price as having just one glass - bottle gives you about two glasses). Sampled the chocolate, toasted coconut, samoa and the raspberry chardonnay. By far the chocolate and the toasted coconut were the best. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will most likely come back to sample some more of their tasty delights.... I have my eye on the s'more.

I'm in LOVE with Lady Yum's macarons! Every bite is just filled with excitement and I love the fact that they have a variety of flavors to choose from. Definitely one of my favorite macaron shops in Seattle!

The first time I've tried macarons, it tasted terrible. But I decided to give them another try, so my roommate suggested me to come here. I bought almost every flavor and each and every one of them had their own special taste. My favorite flavors here are lemon, salted caramel and raspberry chardonnay. The lemon in particular has a delicious creamy filling that balances out the sour flavor of lemon. It's perfect! If you are in the Kirkland area, I highly recommend you to try this place out. It's a cute little shop and the lady that helped me out was beyond friendly and super helpful.

Yummy Lady makes this lady say YUMMY! I was NEVER a macaron fan and from a friend's referral, I wanted to check this place out. My mind has now changed as I have fallen in love!!! I got the 10 for $20 and was overwhelmed, yet excited on the flavors they had on display. I ended up getting a couple of toasted coconut, salty caramel, toffee crunch.... mmmm. Can't wait to go back!

I've stopped by here a couple times to buy various macarons as gifts for others and they've loved them. Street parking is fairly easy to find and the shop itself is so darn cute, you can't miss it. I also stopped by most recently on a Tuesday night for my birthday and had a few of my friends & family there too. I called ahead to see if I could bring in the gorgeous cake my sister had made for me and they said I could. We all ordered macarons as well (I love the Hedgehog toffee one; chewy, crunchy and delicious) and also the champagne cocktails that were the special of the night. I loved the different kinds of mixers that were available, I think one I got was like strawberry and rosemary and it was amazing. They also have the mixers on sale along with other treats and beautiful candles. It was a wonderful night and I'll keep coming back & recommending over & over.

Love this place!! The macarons are out of this world and perfect for those of you that are gluten free. I loved the raspberry Chardonnay flavor.

So, I'll be honest... I hadn't ever had a macaron before I tried Lady Yum's wares. That's right, Lady Yum took my macaron virginity. I know, I know- I'm way behind the times on this one. But I enjoyed their macarons and I wouldn't hesitate to go back there for more. The store doesn't really stand out on Lake Street, but luckily, Google maps knew where it was. Even so, it was hard for me to see from my car. Just know that it's located between Zoka and the Lodge and there's a parking lot behind the building which makes it relatively easy to access. I really liked the unique flavors they offered, especially the maple bacon, the s'more, and hedgehog (toffee) flavors. I got a 15 macaron box for $30. It's a little spendy, but they macarons are done well. The crust is firm and eggshell-like, but the inside is soft and meringue-y. It was not Lady Yum herself behind the counter, but one of her proxies who seemed a little rushed even in spite of the fact that I was the only one in there at the time. I know this is nit-picking, but I didn't feel very welcomed by the lady behind the counter. There didn't seem to be much of an opportunity to ask questions or take time to reflect on/compare and contrast the multitude of different macaron flavors available to purchase. The vibe I was getting was, "Get in, pay, and GTFO". I'm hoping that this was an aberration. I guess I'll find out next time!

Lady Yum is really yummy! Every flavor that I have tried is delicious. Here's a list of flavors that have tried: oatmeal cookie (this tasted like a snickerdoodle vanila ice cream sandwich), chocolate mint, salted caramel, toffee, apricot amaretto, vanilla (they usually have different theme colors i.e red, white, and blue for the 4th), guava pineapple (my favorite!), The shindig (fruity pebbles cereal my other favorite!). I hope they have lychee soon! I am looking forward to trying it!

Lady Yum is the closest thing to Laduree in Seattle. I'm so happy that they opened up recently in downtown Kirkland, and I was very excited to try them this morning. I ordered a box of 10 macarons for a friend and personally got 3 more for myself to try. The passionfruit, maple bacon and Hedgehog Toffee flavors were delicious. However, the most important part of macarons is not the taste, but the texture. The outside needs a slight crunch from the hard shell, but the inner parts with the filling needs to soft and gooey and with a flight chew. I haven't had a single macaron in Seattle that got the texture right, it usually ends up being hard and sticky to the teeth like caramel. I cannot wait to come back and try all of their amazing flavors. Please continue making these delicious treats. Lady Yum herself was friendly at the counter and very helpful in describing the flavors. I've been searching for perfect macarons in Seattle and I think I have finally found it.

Cute place. Good prices. Large selection of macarons. Serves wine, coffee, and tea as well! I guess they have cake pops, but they were sold out by the time we came (2pm). Great place to pick up a small gift for someone since they have premade gift sets. I got Maple bacon, passion, mint chocolate, coconut, & hedgehog toffee. COCONUT WAS YUMMAY! (If u like coconut)

Drop everything and eat a Lady Yum macaroon. Or 5. This is a cute little spot with only 4 tables, and is dripping with glittering chandeliers. They've got a selection of around 10 brightly colored macaroons in a variety of flavors, and a healthy assortment of wine and champagne. Try the S'mores, Hedgehog, and Oatmeal Cookie flavors. Also, grab a glass of bubbles with a splash of White Nectarine Shrubs.

Very cute shop!! Came in and was immediately greeted. Customer service was great but the macarons were A-MA-ZING!! There were a handful of delicious flavors and they tasted even better than they looked. I'm a chef and can appreciate great food. This place definitely made my list!!

I love how many flavors there are to choose from and they aren't too expensive. Kinda sad that I can't come here too often as Kirkland is quite out of the way for me. Otherwise, I would frequent here to try their ever changing array of flavors.

Every time I see a macaron I have to buy it and honestly Lady Yum has one of the best Macarons I've ever had in the Seattle area. They are perfectly made - beautiful and tasty all in one. They have a unique selection of flavors including a 12th man macaron which have them that final 5th star. Also they have the most adorable gift packages that I'm notating to myself for Xmas gifts this year. I highly recommend stopping by if you are ever strolling around the Kirkland waterfront!

The shop is sandwiched between very popular haunts and just opened up. I was expecting lots of excitement from a newly opened bakery but the opening day gave that a miss entirely. They seemed to have a variety of macarons (note macarons are different than macaroons) for 1.95 each. I have had better- these were LOADED With sugar. Very average (this coffee one was called Zoka Mocha- plus they had the zang to name it after their AWESOME neighbor, Zoka). Here's my rant- The lady at the counter was not paying much attention and I felt a bit odd to ask questions. One does expect to be welcomed. Next time maybe... So there's lot of competition around them and if they want to succeed here's a tip- delight Kirkland please.

I love small, local businesses, particularly the ones owned by women, and this one is a terrific concept. Wine and macarons, plus some extra local goodies thrown in for good measure - what more could you want? Unfortunately, I'm giving this establishment 3 stars with most of my judgment reserved for the macarons themselves. On the one hand, the macarons are large, a great texture, inventive (I was delighted to find a surprise dot of marshmallow filling inside the S'mores one), and obviously quite pleasant to look at with their shiny tops, beautiful (although slightly muted) colors, and perfect pieds. Their flavors are also on point (tiramisu tasted like tiramisu, mint chocolate like mint chocolate, etc). However, I found the macarons to be cloyingly sweet overall - the gross aftertaste being nothing but sugar, which was enough for me to knock off 2 stars. I may not return. I will say that this is the only macaron salon I know of in the Seattle area. All other macarons I've found locally are just afterthoughts to larger bakeries, none of which have surpassed Lady Yum's macarons. In this spirit, I'd throw in an extra honorary star. 3 stars + 1 honorary star For reference, I really like 'Lette macarons from Bevery Hills. Lilli-Pilli was another local macaron vendor whom I adored, but she has recently closed shop.

So good! The store is small but so cute. They don't offer all the flavors they make at once but always have tons of options. The s'mores one is amazing. I am sad I don't live closer!

Of all the macarons Ive tried in my 22 years of living, I've never been this excited about macarons!! Their macarons are unique and are the perfect amount of sweetness in my opinion. I can literally eat 10 of them in one sitting while at other places I can barely eat 1 without getting tired of it. Their fruity pebbles macaron is soo good as well as the white chocolate basil. Its $2 a piece but its 100% worth it!

Tastier every time we go in! & the owner seems nice & friendly. Love how the flavors seem to change up a bit especially w/the seasons. Hubby fav is the expresso, mine is macadamia nut, & baby's chocolate

Not until this year I found out i wasn't allergic to macarons, because before I knew I was allergic to almond flour (which is an ingredient in these delicious pastries) I did a group interactive media project for Lady Yum and we went in and told the employee working there about it. When we visited, we all purchased macarons, I personally chose S'mores (which in my opinion is one of the best flavors), Passionfruit and Raspberry Chardonnay. All of which exceeded my expectations. I love their decor of "shabby chic" as the employee there described to us. Fancy chandeliers, red brick walls and dainty lights. They set the atmosphere along with music to go along your "Lady Yum French experience" I also loved how they support and sell local products and even include local product ingredients into their macarons. They serve wines, bubbly and of course delicious macarons. If you're ever in the area, or just dying to try AMAZING macarons, definitely stop by here and purchase a couple (:

So many fun flavors to try! Love that there's always something new they created! Charming, cozy little shop that also features a few local goodies and champagne/wine with your treats! Staff has been very friendly. Love the PB&J, lemon, oatmeal cookie, and well, ALL OF THEM! Plus the 12 macaroons were a total hit when I brought them on gameday!

Hands down the best macaroons I've ever had and the customer service was impeccable. My favorite was the Raspberry Cherry rhubarb, SOO delish!

You would have to go to Paris France to find a better Macaron! These tasty little gems taste as good as they look! Lady Yum nailed it! The only place in Kirkland you kind drink bottomless Champagne or Mimosas on a Tuesday and eat your cookies too! ( it's true!) As a self proclaimed macaron expert...I'm super picky about the flavors, the texture and the sweetness factor. Take your mom, sister, date, friend, dog....and go treat yourself. Customizable gifts! Flavors change all the time.** ** And a Blue & Green Seahawks Macaron for the 12's! Love this place.

They specialize in macarons and champagne. And they do it really, really well. That should honestly be all you need to hear :) I love Lady Yum. I am constantly evangelizing about Lady Yum. And I have even converted a few people over to the sweet side. Perfectly crafted macarons, wonderful flavors, and always a new one to try each time. They also have a giant champagne wall, and sell macaron and mini champagne packs you can mix and match yourself in-store. I mean, again, do you really need more convincing to try this place?? Also, if you're lucky enough to catch them on a slow morning, they'll even make you a french press of great coffee, which I've enjoyed many times with a macaron or two. The atmosphere is great, the prices are reasonable, and they also have a nice selection of local goods and treats available. One of the best recent additions to downtown Kirkland in a long while. My favorite place!

These are definitely one of the finest macarons I have had in Seattle. The taste and quality of ingredients is perfect. It's a new shop in Kirkland downtown. The menu doesn't have much to offer except macarons. I recommend mint chocolate, Mongolian toffee and chocolate macarons.

This place is a very cute space and it's nice that a macaron shop can be found on the east side. Considering how much more they charge at Laduree or Bouchon, the prices here are relatively reasonable ($2 per macaron). The texture is too chewy, however, which deters me from going out of my way to come here. I think it will be more of a place I will visit when I happen to be in the neighborhood. As for flavors, the meringue to filling ratio is off -- not enough filling to appreciate the flavors completely. But to end on a positive note, I would say the lemon is nice b/c there is a lemon curd filling, and the coconut is also good too.

Lady Yum is so tiny and unassuming that you almost walk past it before you realise "Macaroons? I need to try this!". Its a really cute little store, with sober, ambient lighting that is perfect for a post-dinner lounge. Although I've currently only ever grabbed macaroons to go. They usually lay all their macaroons in a glass case for you to make your selection. And this is so hard, I usually want to try all 12 (or so) flavours! The last time I went my favourite was the toasted coconut followed very closely by hedgehog toffee (doesn't the name of that one make you want to try it???). The outside of the macaroons had an excellent chewy texture and the filling was just the right amount of sweetness. 1 star off because I consider this place a little pricey - $1.95 per macaroon and it isn't at all cheaper if you buy in bulk. Their website advertises savory macaroons coming soon, I'm really looking forward to those!

This place is so cute. I tried the shrub and a couple cookies. The shrub (I tried blueberry basil) was really, really good. The cookies are the perfect texture and the buttercream filling is also perfect. I only wish the flavors had a bit more "ooomph" I thought such a bold flavor combination of Pear Ginger Cardamom would blow my mind, but I couldn't taste any of them, it could have passed for vanilla. I should also mention that the woman at the counter was very nice and helpful. I'll stop in again to try out other flavors.

I loved the macarons here. I've had them from many places and usually I'll like one or two flavors, but at this place ALL of the flavors are amazing and I've yet to try one that I don't like. The shells are crisp but still tender and chewy, perfect texture and the fillings are rich and silky without being too sweet. Yum, indeed!

Creative colors and flavors, elegant décor of glass and fine details, festive happy smiles and drinks created by the artistic servers...you feel like your celebrating a special occasion each time you are there even if it's just celebrating a Tuesday night.

This review is only about the Macaroons.. I never been to the shop.. I received the Macaroons as gift from my friend.. The package was really neat. Macaroons was very fresh and very very yummy. The coconut macaroon is my love. When you eat coconut macaroons will give you a feeling to heaven. Coconut fav. is not overwhelming and it's sweet ..but not too sweet. It's prefect with a cup of green tea. Yes, I will start rolling to lady yum to buy more of coconut macaroons.

Unfortunately after Lady Yum taking thousands upon thousands of dollars from her loyal clients via Kickstarter to open up this new shop she has fallen rather short in our hopes that the Lady Yum brand would maintain at least decent customer service. Last year I had nothing but amazing things to say about Lady Yum but after a few email communications with the Retail Facilities Manager it became very apparent that she had no idea what she was doing or talking about. I asked about a custom order and was told that they no longer offer custom orders. Ok. So then I asked about ordering some Signature Boxes (something that they advertise on their website, even though the link to contact them about the Signature Boxes is a broken link). I am then told "I'm sorry, we're no longer doing the signature boxes. With our store opening, we only (and barely!) have kitchen space for macaron production." Ummm then why are you advertising them on your new website if you do not offer them? Later, she then responded with something along the lines of... oh yea we do offer signature boxes. What? Do you or don't you? Either way we won't be Lady Yum customers any longer and we found an amazing company to replace them with exceptional customer service and no complications.

I am a macaroon fan and I've finally found my FAVORITE place!!! I definitely recommend the salted caramel!! It is extremely thick and rich in the caramel taste. Its as if there is real salted caramel in it! so good!!! I come here all the time!:)

Best macarons in town and a very cute shop!! The flavors are amazing and imaginative. They offer some really great options for party favors and gifts. I brought a small tower to my cousin's baby shower and they were a huge hit! Every time I try a new flavor, it's instantly my new "favorite" until I try another!

BEST macarons in the Seattle area and vicinity! Better than Le Panier, Bakery Nouveau and even the internationally famed Bouchon Bakery *gulp*. Last weekend I finally made my way over to Lady Yum on the east side after a failed attempt over the Summer. I picked up a pack of fifteen because I was that undecided on which flavors to get and knowing well that I might not finish them all myself before they go bad. I probably ate half of them over a span of three days and the rest was shared with others. Even after three days the macarons maintained its texture. They had just the right "chewiness" for days. As for flavors, each and every one was delicious and heavenly. Same of my favorites include the maple bacon, coconut key lime, lychee and champagne. I'm looking forward to when the savory flavors are perfected and available. Those should be interesting.

FANCY OREOS. This place is incredible. Each one of their flavors is an experience in and of themselves. At minimum, try Maple Bacon, Chocolate, Hedgehog Toffee, and Orange Cream. This place is over the top, and has become a regular stop after going out to dinner in downtown Kirkland. These gals have my full support.

Best macarons I've had outside of Paris and SF! I am super picky about macarons too. I have only been satisfied with 3 macaron shops I've tried (2 of which are Laduree and Pierre Herme, the long-reigning macaron champs in France). Lady-Yum makes the 4th. I can't wait to visit often to try more or their delicious, moist, innovative macarons (and get a free one with a glass of champagne)! I love the yummy flavors of champagne too! Peach and cinnamon was DELISH. Oh, and the macaron-fitted packs (so they don't get loose and crushed) are brilliant!

I went to pastry school ages ago and one of the items taught were the labor intensive macarons. (these are NOT equivalent to macaroons! and definitely not whoopie pies or Oreos! Quel horreur!). I've tried these also at Honore and Bakery Nouveau in Seattle. Thanks to fellow Yelpers - I saw a mention of Lady Yum in downtown Kirkland. With the wide swing in reviews, figured it was time for me to stop by and try them. So I decided to stop there on the way to an interview in Bellevue. Lady Yum is conveniently located next door to Zoka near the corner of Central and Lake. Kirkland is lucky to have Lady Yum, Aura Bakery, Hoffman's and few others....seriously, no one can name a bakery in Shoreline. The closest are the selections offered at Central Market or Honey Bear in Lake Forest Park. Sorry I digress...onward to the selections. I selected ten ($20) from the enticing pastry case which were placed in a tailor made plastic takeout container so they don't get crushed. Very welcoming customer service from the counter. I was so dazzled by the pastry case's contents, I forgot to ask whether the person who helped me was the owner. Flavors chosen included: strawberry (two), passion fruit, pumpkin, vanilla in Seahawks 12th Man colors!, chocolate hazelnut, salted caramel, coconut, toffee, and maple bacon. These were later shared between three family members. These macarons are absolutely remarkable! Delicate consistency in size and texture, vibrant flavors, and in festive colors. Clearly not something I can indulge in frequently, but are highly recommended and something I would drive to for a special occasion or special someone. Convenient hours: Sundays 11am - 8pm, closed Mondays, Tuesdays through Saturdays 11am - 10pm. No troublesome traffic driving from Shoreline up and over Lake Washington, the rain held off, interview went well, and Lady Yum macarons were the exclamation point to this particular autumn day. Thanks again fellow Yelpers for the tip!

THIS IS MY FAVORITE PLACE THAT HAS EVER EXISTED! I kid you not, there are times I get up to ten macarons and eat them all before I even leave the establishment. Not only are they quite literally the best things I have ever tasted, but the people that work there are extremely knowledgable, friendly, and upbeat. My roommate and I have become regulars there and they always let us know if they have a new flavor in stock that we haven't tried yet. I can not say enough good things about this place. Keep rockin' it, Lady Yum!

Delicious, adorable, and open at reasonable hours. Macarons used to be a thing I could only get during weird fancy bakery hours which tend to be when I am at work, or on the weekend, before 4pm. Fair enough, artisans. You do you. But when I get the craving for a pile of macs after a hard day at work, I'll be at Lady Yum, caught up in the multitude of tasty options and forgetting that anywhere else exists. I would have docked a star for being spendy, but macarons always are so it's kind of what you sign up for, and the ones here are worth it. Also, if they were cheap, I'd be obese by now.

  • Dona B.

Very cute and chic! The macarons are ok tasting, a bit too creamy and sweet for my liking but that won't stop me from coming here as they are the best I have tried in Washington so far. I like that they always have new flavors, my fave so far is the salted caramel. Must try their sipping vinegars as well!

This place has the best macarons I ate in the seattle area. They have such a huge variety, it is hard to choose what to get. I ended up buying one of each of about 10 flavors. They were super delicious. The shop itself is very cute and I love the exposed brick wall they have. But it is very small and isn't a place where you can hang out or sit and eat. Would definitely drive all the way to Kirkland for their amazing macarons.

Easily the BEST. Beautiful gem, cute decor inside, friendly staff, wine to choose from, and a huge selection of perfectly baked macarons. Chewy, delectable, and colorful. Some are two-tone which I love, others have little sprinkles on them, so so adorable!!! Got a box of 10 for $20, so perfect for a sweet gift. Stools to sit on by the window and small tables along the display of the prettiest cookies. All the flavors I tried were amazing. Great place to just sit, chat, relax, dream, and enjoy company.

Well this past weekend i made my three hour journey from Pasco WA to Lady Yum in Kirkland after i seen a friend from Seattle posting pictures on Instagram. Told the family lets go on a mini vacation that included a stop there for desserts. As part of the itinerary was to take my daughter to the Woodland Park Zoo, eat at Red Mill Burger which was located nearby just a few blocks up the street, and then for a evening snack, we would drive to Kirkland for some Macaron's from Lady Yumm. While making the drive to Lady Yum we were just at awe of the waterfront homes and apartments leading up to the swanky little dessert shop/ wine bar. We basically ordered each of the macaron's they had displayed that even which was about 15 different flavors for a cool $2.00 a pop. We made the long trek so you know we had to get plenty for ourselves and some to take home to my big sister. My 2 year old daughter loved the Cotton Candy flavored one, wife loved the Passion Fruit and Pumpkin flavored ones, and myself enjoyed all of them but the two that really stood out for me was the Salted Caramel, Toasted Coconut, and Smores were all such guilty pleasures. Its been such a long time since i had a divine experience with food and this shop knocked it out of the ball park. It made the trek across the state really worthwhile. Its just nice seeing the changing leaves this time of year. I would recommend this place for any dessert lover. A great place for couples and small groups. Check out Zoka coffee shop too while you are there for this lovely spot! A+++++

Before Lady Yum, I was picking up macarons from across the street at Aura Bakery. Now there's a dedicated store just for macaron! Macarons everywhere! Like i was in heaven! This is actually the only place I know where it's just macarons! The store is fairly small but theres no need for a bigger size. Besides macarons, they also sell wine which is quite interesting~ Each macaron is $2 dollars which to me is fairly expensive. Even when you buy in large amount, it's still the same price. You can buy packages that comes with a cute box :) but the price is still the same... T~T wish it became cheaper the more you bought Their macarons are perfect though! I love the crunch of the shell and the chewiness! And there's so many flavors to choose from! Hardest decision of my life! Auro Bakery has about 7 different flavors where as Lady Yum has a TON! They ever have girl scout cookie flavors! Surprisingly, they close really late! 10:00PM! i've never been there that late to actually see if they close that late but I would hope that the yelp times are accurate. Downtown Kirkland is where everything is! If you are ever there, make sure to check out Lady Yum because it's Yummy :)

The perfect little boutique for the perfect little treat! Lady Yum specializes in macarons and they do it up right, with a rainbow of colors and flavors ranging from the simple (vanilla and strawberry), to the trendy (salted caramel, lavender), to the unique and wickedly cool (say it with me: fruity pebble macaron). You can stop in and just get one, alongside a cup of coffee, and sit and enjoy it at a table with a friend, or at the bar at the window while people-watching. Or, you can customize an assortment for the perfect gift. They'll make a tiered display for your next birthday party, instead of the usual cake. Did I mention the fruity pebble macarons? We got an assortment of ten, just to sample. They were all good - light and sweet, with crisp exteriors and chewy interiors. They're very sweet but delightful and tasty. The store is pristine and nice to sit in if you want to hang out. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

OH MY GOSH. Stumbled into this place while walking around Kirkland. I have previously had french macaroons (okay, they taste like magical meringue cookies but are called macaroons...) and didn't think they were anything to write home about. HOWEVER. These are AMAZING. I am breaking internet code and typing in all caps because these are that good. I will find a way to detour to Kirkland and go back and get these. I had the Salted Carmel and could have eaten 500. The chocolate was oh so chocolatey, very rich, but worth $2 each for a bite of Heaven. Yes, they really are that good!

Such a cute little macaron shop. Tons of flavors to choose from. Macarons are $2 each. Absolutely no hollow shells. Fluffy and chewy texture just like how a macaron should be! Not too sweet. Absolutely delicious. Loved it!

Lady Yum is a total breath of fresh air for Kirkland. Adorably curated local products on the wall? Check. Simple, chic decor? Check. The most delicious macarons in the Seattle area? Well, these definitely give the other French bakeries a run for their money. The passionfruit flavor literally tasted like drinking POG, but in cookie form. The key lime coconut - amazing. The nutella filled and salted caramel varieties - equally amazing. The woman working there was also extremely helpful, as I was overwhelmed with so many flavors that looked good. My only complaint is that I didn't buy more and now I have to make the trek from Seattle to Kirkland again!

  • Suzanna C.

Pretty good and lots of flavors. Might be the best place I've tried in the east side. I would definitely visit again. The only reason that I didn't give them 5 stars is because I've had macarons from Laduree, Pierre Herme Paris and other places in Paris.

    (4)
  • Michelle C.

Yum is right! Melt in your mouth deliciousness! Loved the Seahawks ones and the toffee ones are the bomb!! $2 each seemed spendy, but after one taste, price was not a factor... I actually want to turn around and go get more!

The most amazing macarons ever and they have Champagne! I mean...what else could you ask for. As an added bonus they are open late in the evening making it the perfect place to go after dinner to have a drink and a treat. The store is darling and a perfect combo of French and Northwest local. They also have packages you can take to your next event in darling containers! Love! Cant say enough good things about this place!

  • Heather F.

2.5 stars really. Just average. Super cute space and primo locations but that can't make up for a mediocre product. "Better than French macarons!" Umm, not even. The delicate macarons produced by some of the world's best pastry chefs/artists are in a league all of their own. Lady Yum ' s versions are overly sweet, overly flavored, and the fillings are thick. The joy of true French macarons is the hint of flavors and the overall delicate textures. These tasted the same as any other homemade macarons I have had. Perfectly nice treat but not really French at all. I think I would rate higher if such claims had not been made or seemingly bragged about.

have been here a few times now and absolutely love their macarons. in comparison to other macaron shops (le panier, metropolitan market), i enjoy lady yum's recipe the most. the inside of this shop is pretty small and very well nuanced, as you walk in there are shelves full of jams and fillings that are sourced locally. On the left are a few small tables with the largest looking to seat about 4. then comes the display case with small batches of macarons. past that are the shelves of wine and a small wet bar. Personally have not sat in, always took my macarons to go. Have always had great service from the lady behind the counter. what is nice, is that if there were any cracked or not perfect macarons after baking, they put them out as samples, so if you are undecided, they might be able to give you a taste. my one bugaboo here is the price. these are definitely on the pricier side nearer to 2.0/ea where other places are 1.25-1.50/ea, however considering the quality i guess that 25-50 cents isn't much more to ask. I haven't tried calling or any online ordering, so i wont speak to that. every time i have come in, it's always been a pretty quick in and out. the default packing method has these coming in gift box, so it's nice if you are going straight to a friends, makes you look prepared to share (even if you don't want to). There's a good variance in size of packages ranging from 5, 15, and 25, though you aren't really getting much of a price break by quantity. all in all, i'm very happy to have this so close to home and will definitely be stopping in before the holidays.

Lady Yum has some of the best macaroons that I have ever tasted! First of all the store is absolutely adorable; there was music playing that could only remind one of a French cafe, chandeliers adorn the ceiling, and the macaroons line a long glass display case. They also have a selection of champagne and wine to accompany their macaroons and limited selection of food. I did opt to try their mountain goat salad which was delicious!! I also had to try the macaroons and they surely did not disappoint. The pumpkin spice was delectable and reminded me of eating a light and airy pumpkin tart or pie, the s'mores was also delicious and I was pleasantly surprised but a mash mellow center encased within the chocolate cream center, and the maple bacon......wow. Such fun flavors, a trendy atmosphere, and very friendly staff! I will absolutely be coming back here soon.

I was in yesterday and when I went in there were 15 different flavors to choose from! I spoke to a girl who said she was the owner and a tall Asian girl. They were packaging wedding favors which I thought were a great idea (something to keep in mind in the future). I liked how she said she tries to help out and showcase other local products. I bought a package of 15 so I could try one of each and it came in a beautiful package. On the way out I noticed people having wine. I would definitely come back here in the future.

For a little while, I've been looking for a place that made good macarons in Seattle area. It's hard enough to find a store that made macarons, never mind good ones. I'm so glad my friends told me about Lady Yum. Lady Yum has some interesting flavours, not just the basic. They even made one that's Seahawk themed. The macarons are slightly chewy and the shell cracks at the lightest touch, as it should be. The fillings are creamy and so yummy. It's just incredible. I really recommend the orange creamsicle one. It surprised me how good it was. They also serve wine/champagne and it seems you can add flavours to them. I haven't tried but I'm sure I can convince my friends to try it some time. My friends recommended this shop to me only a week ago and I've already returned a couple of times, planning another trip soon. On my first trip, my friends bought a variety and I loved them. I went there myself and bought another 5 and loved them too. Unfortunately, my next trip had a miss in my batch. But it's not going to stop me from going there again.

I love the way this space was designed! It has that rustic feel to it with a touch of modern. And of course, the macarons were a treat. I was only disappointed that they didn't serve actual coffee. I had to just accept the bottled coffee if I wanted my caffeine fix. You could always go for beer and wine, I guess.

Do yourself a favor and get the toasted coconut macaroon!!! SO AMAZING. I was so excited to hear that they were opening a store, b/c I love these little delightful pieces of heaven. I first had one at a wedding show and was bonkers over them. When I saw them on kickstarter I had to back them and of course had to go for the big 24 pack of treats! I just went in and got them and the ladies were very kind and thankful. The location is not convenient for me, but hope to make it over a few times a year for the treats. I have also ate (in the last 3 days)...passion fruit, Hedgehog toffee, strawberry, Zoka mocha....all so good. I want to hide the and eat them all!

Amazing macaroons. The hardest part is choosing which one. I loved the maple bacon and the blueberry lemon. They are crunchy and chewy at the same time. The flavours are great. I will be going back to try all the flavours.

A wide variety of delicious, beautiful, though somewhat pricey macarons. We had a difficult time choosing a favorite... maple bacon was the eventual conclusion. If I get a winning lotto ticket, I will return to celebrate.

We live about two blocks from Lady Yum and go there at least three times a week. Easily the best macarons in Seattle and the best desert period in Kirkland. Really well curated selection of shockingly well priced wine and champagne too. This is a must visit .

The cutest shop in downtown Kirkland! I couldn't get over how perfect everything was inside. They even serve drinks and sell local goods. Ordered 10 macarons for $2/each and they didn't last a single day. My favorites were the Chocolate Mint, Shindig, Key Lime Pie, and Coconut. They're delicate in appearance, texture, and highlighted each flavor wonderfully. I definitely see another visit in the near future.

The only and best place for Macarons. Variety is what i enjoy. Everyone of those little yummies are filled with flavor. Haven't had one that I've hated. My usual: Can I get a pack of 25 plus a 10. Can you pick whichever 35 that are most popular....... Then repeat up to 35. Thank you..... Seems legit. Always works out. Who can be picky? They're all delicious.

Unlike most sweets and desserts, my love for macaroons are bittersweet. I am particularly selective when it comes to these circular delectables. My ideal macaroon has to introduce a plump, chewy and soft center to my explosive sweet tooth. With that, I'll happily inform fellow sweets that Lady Yum is one of my favorite macaroon shops to visit! Not only is the store interior super adorable, so are the employees there! Lady Yum has a wide array of flavors ranging from original favorites, like Vanilla or Chocolate, to scrumptious uniques, like Lychee and Cotton Candy! The flavors here are endless! They also have featured seasonal flavors that will keep you begging for more! My favorites (so far) are the Coconut and Toffee macaroons. Please do try them if you ever decide to visit! Parking will be available across from the store in the private lot. Be forewarned that it is NOT FREE and it's a 4 HOUR LIMIT. It gets pretty busy because it's located right in the heart of Downtown Kirkland but it's definitely worth a visit; you won't regret it!

Stumbled upon this lovely macaroon shop in downtown Kirkland today. The interior of the store is super cute, feminine, trendy and sophisticated. If I lived in this in the area this would be my drug. Not all flavors are available at the store front but you can always go to the website to place a special order. All the macaroons behind the glass wall so vibrant in terms of colors and looks delicious. I ended up purchasing 6 flavors: -Strawberry - reminds me of a strawberry ice cream -Vanilla bean (Seahawks colors) - Go Seahawks!!! -Lemon - love the tart -Passion Fruit - yummy -Guava Pineapple - my favorite -Raspberry Chardonnay - yum-o-luscious All of the flavors were good. Crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The fillings in the middle fits the bill for my sweet tooth. The macaroons are only $2.00 each which to me is worth it for yummy treats. I love the selection of unique flavors. I plan on returning to this store again for more flavors. If you are in the area, swing in by for a treat or 2. It will be worth your while. See you soon Lady-Yum!

I like this place a lot. I've never had a bad macaron before and that staff is always nice. I don't drink wine so I purely go just got the macarons. On my birthday, they didn't give me a free macaroon but they gave me a cute little sticker with my order that said Happy Birthday. I guess that's... cool?

Very cute and delicious! Def recommend! They're different from other macaroons that I have tried in my opinion, this place has more unique flavors..

Awesome macroons! I love the coconut, smores, passion fruit, tarimisu, and cinnamon. Gonna come back for more!

Oh my goodness their strawberry macaroons are sooooo yum! You could see the God of macaroons in them! Don't eat too many though, as you may get a sugar rush / headache, like I did last time! LOLOLOL

Macarons are my favorite dessert, so I don't know why I haven't been to Lady Yum until now. I have nothing but good words to say about this place. First off, the decor is very classy and feminine, making this the perfect destination for a meet up with the girls. They also have specials: Tuesday is bottomless champaign and shrubs for $15, Wednesday is half off bottles of wine, Thursday you get a free macaron when you order a glass of wine or champaign. Who doesn't like wine or champaign with dessert? Now, onto talking about the macarons. For the most part the texture of the macarons were consistent. Crunchy outside with a super soft inside. There were a couple of flavors that were a bit more solid on the inside, but I didn't mind. I tried a whole bunch of flavors: - Lemon: AMAZING! I love lemon bars and this macaron tasted just like a lemon bar. On top of having the lemon cream filling, there was some delicious lemon jelly that really enhanced the lemon flavor. - Strawberry: YUM! It kind of reminded me of strawberry pocky. - Vanilla Bean: Vanilla is usually my favorite flavor, but this one was slightly salty, which I found a bit strange. Not bad, but not the best I've ever had. - Passion Fruit: after eating the lemon one, this flavor was very underwhelming. I don't know if it wasn't sweet enough or if the flavor wasn't as present, but this one didn't wow me. - Apricot Amaretto: I didn't know what to expect from an amaretto macaron. This one was pretty interesting. Flavorful, but not super sweet. I'm still not sure how I feel about this one. - Chocolate Mint: tastes just like an Andes Mint!! Sooooo good! - Pineapple Mango (I think that's what it's called): I love that this one was 2 different colors. I've never seen that before. I chose this one because of its looks, and it was surprisingly delicious!

I'm a sucker for sweets, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try the "best macarons in WA," according to my Yelp friends. And boy, they were not wrong. Lady Yum delivers. Between the perfected texture and unique flavors, you're bound to enjoy these cute lil' cookies no matter what. Not only do the macarons crumble with each delicate bite, they melt in your mouth! The fluffy filling helps to give the perfect chewy consistency. Because they're not tooth-achingly sweet, you can eat several of these bad boys without feeling too guilty! Besides the original flavors (strawberry, vanilla bean, etc), they offer a wide range of intriguing flavors as well! My favorite out of the lot I tried was the fruity pebble. The mint chocolate was yummy too! The store itself is beyond cute! It's small, but comfy. Not only do they sell macs, but an assortment of handmade cards, flavored vinegars and candles as well. They serve Zoka coffee and a range of wines too.

Exactly all you could hope for. Great flavors!! The maple bacon and wildberry lavender were my first two ever, and I'll be back for more.

I knew that after seeing all the photos on Instagram and reading all the reviews on Yelp that I would fall in love with this place like the many others. Kirkland is a little out of the way for me but I just had to try these macarons. I finally was able to drive there. I have never been to Kirkland before but I noticed that Lady Yum seems to be located in a more downtown like area. There is no parking lot so you'll have to find street parking. What is nice about Lady Yum is that it is open pretty late for a baked goods shop. 9 PM and having a craving for macarons? Lady Yum has got you covered. They also have a big selection of flavors. Their flavor sheet will feature all the flavors of macarons they have, but there are around 10~15 options to choose for the day. I also enjoy the wide range of flavors. You will find flavors here that you can't find at a typical macaron shop. We were surprised by the number of macarons left before closing. Fully stocked macarons make me happy. Out of excitement (and it being my brother's first time trying macarons), we bought a box of 10. The first thing I immediately noticed was the consistency. All the macarons were baked to perfection. The texture was on point for every macaron I tried. Perfect crisp on the outside and the beautiful chewy inside. There is a good amount of filling for each one so you don't feel skimped out on. Guava Pineapple - Beautiful pink and yellow macaron. It is very light and the flavor of each is pretty subtle. I think it could be a little stronger, but it was still a fruity delight. S'mores - SO good. This was one of my favorites. I normally like the fruity flavored macarons but this chocolate was down right delicious. The filling inside is slightly on the darker side and there is a marshmallow center. So rich and perfect for a chocolate craving. Raspberry Chardonnay - Lovely raspberry flavor in this one. Oatmeal Cookie - This was recommended by the lady there. It has a very nice cinnamon flavor to it, but I found that the filling had slightly too strong of a butter taste. Overall though, it did taste like a soft version of an oatmeal cookie. Apricot Amaretto - At first the flavor was way too subtle. I didn't taste anything but then the filling hit me with a pack of tart apricot. Passion Fruit - Awesome burst of flavor. It's both sour and sweet! Yum! Coconut - If you are a coconut fan, then this will make you smile. I think my favorite was the s'mores but I really loved all of them. The texture on each is spot on and the flavors are unique and delicious. Macarons are $2 each and worth every dollar!

Drove here on a rainy day just to get a couple macarons. There was a vintage car show that day, so there was even less parking than there usually is in Kirkland -- but take it from me: the macarons here are heavenly enough to remedy driving around in circles for twenty minutes and a seven-minute walk in the rain. Lady Yum is a cute shop with a Pinterest-y vibe and loads of flavors to choose from. Seems like they add some new flavors to the selection every now and again so I guess I have no choice but to keep coming back until I've tried every flavor... ten times each. Flavor adventure for my sweet tooth's wanderlust. The area is really nice and there are some neat shops along the same street. I'd recommend chasing an oatmeal or tiramisu macaron with some lavender coffee from next door!

Yay! I'm so glad I've finally got to visit Lady Yum! I love everything about this place, it's so quaint inside, with French background music and bright, rustic counters with lots of delightful things to taste. You can tell that this place was really made with love. We tried a few things here: the lemon, hedgehog toffee, passionfruit, orange, slated caramel and mexican chocolate. When I ordered, I asked the lady behind the counter which was better, the passionfruit or the pear ginger cardamom, and she replied "passionfruit" without even batting an eye! She said the buttercream in the PGC one wasn't as good, so I went with her advice and got the passionfruit macaroon and I wasn't disappointed. She also gave us a free taste of the maple bacon macaroon because there was one which was a bit squashed, but still tasted delightful. To be honest, I can't say they are the best, most mindblowing macaroons I've ever had but I guess they come very close. They are, however, the best ones I've had in the country. (That said, the best, most mindblowing macaroons I had were in France, so go figure.) The meringue has a lovely crunch to it and there's a good amount of filling that doesn't squish everywhere, and there's just a little layer of chewiness without it ruining how delicate the meringue shell is. It's lovely. This place makes me so happy. I also wish macaroons aren't $2 a pop because I can plow through a dozen of them, but hey, I guess the essence of a treat is its rarity. That said, I'll definitely be back. They also sell Woodinville Whiskey Maple Syrup here.

WOW! I think this place has the best macarons I've ever had! Hands down best place in WA and better than Le Panier. They are soooo soft and the meringue cookies have the right amount of crunch. The fillings are actually creamy and not too hard like most macarons and it'll melt in your mouth. They're sweet but not too sweet to the point where you'll have a toothache. You'll be craving for more after the first bite! Yummmm! The plum was my favorite along with strawberry which tasted like strawberry pocky. Oatmeal - Tasted exactly like oatmeal cookies. Mmm. Chocolate mint - I normally don't like this combination but this was good and the mint wasn't too overpowering. Pear and ginger - A very unique flavor and the right amount of ginger. They also have wine by the glass, a few sandwiches, wraps, drinks and a shelf of cute small, goodies you can buy like cute macaroon rings/necklaces!

To be honest, I have never been a fan of macaroons. I haven tried many places and including the popular on in California. Often, they are overwhelmingly sweet with gritty texture and the filling is like jelly. My girlfriend suggested this place and the deco is very modern and classy! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have different flavors of macaroons such as maple and bacon, coconut, pass fruit, espresso coffee etc. but limited choices of drink selections. The macaroons taste fresh with delightful spongy texture and perfect amount sweetness in the filling. However, I think it will be great if they add more drinks such as hot coco and cafe au la. This was wonderful experience and we will be back!

I never really understood why people raved about Le Panier's macarons. The texture isn't quite right...I always feel like it doesn't crumble and melt in your mouth; I shouldn't have to chew through stickiness. If you were like me, and Le Panier wasn't good enough after tasting the oh so amazing Bouchon Bakery macarons, look no further. Perfect crumble and the right amount of chew with creamy filling. It just melts in your mouth. I bought 10 today and every flavor is unique and heavenly. The cookie is very light and fluffy. I shared half of my goods with my coworkers and they all loved them. Every single one of them noted the texture being spot on. The cafe is very cozy with just a few tables and seats. The decor is fun and simple with beautiful chandeliers dangling from the ceiling. Enjoy your macarons with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. I could see this being a great alternative to a wedding cake or birthday cake (they do catering events!). I have found my Bouchon substitute. The search is finally over!!

This is a review as we used Lady Yum for our wedding. BECAUSE THAT IS HOW MUCH SHE KICKS BUTT. Not just macarons! I wish I could give Megan 500 stars. The cake was exquisite! Megan created the most beautiful watercolor cake, it was seriously so pretty we didnt want to cut it. It was perfect! She has lots of flavors to choose from and they are all SO GOOD! We picked 3 different flavors for our cake and cake pops and all were delicious. The French macaron favors were so delicious and the guests raved about them. Thank you Lady Yum!

Love this place. Really good macarons! Lots of flavors, I havent tried all the flavors, but the ones I had so far was good. Which was the strawberry, vanilla bean and cherry cheesecake. This time I decided to buy 10, so I can try more new flavors which im excited about. I love that theres different special flavors each time I visit. Friendly service, parking wasnt a big problem, and an easy to find place. Also, great togo packaging! A great place to get a small bite of sweetness!!

Wine not stop by for a nibble and a sip? All puns aside, Lady Yum is the perfect after-dinner spot for good macarons, good wine and good conversations. It's been about five months since the place opened, but I finally got to stop by Lady Yum with a friend this past Friday. And boy, I loved it the instant that I walked inside! Lady Yum is a cute, intimate dessert and wine bar that specializes in gourmet macarons. Neighboring Zoka in the downtown Kirkland area, they have indoor seating for about two to ten people and counter seating by the window. My friend and I ended up trying the: -Pear Ginger Cardamom - My friend's favorite! -PB&J - And my favorite of the night! -Chocolate Mint - Hedgehog Toffee They were all so good! :D I only wish the shop was more consistent about using plates when serving the macarons for in-shop dining - receiving them on napkins wasn't as dainty as we pictured. :( Either way, we will definitely be back! We need more wonderful late night dessert stops like Lady Yum. :Dr

I'm not blown away. If you want to strictly sell macarons, they should be the best in the business. There is nothing outstanding about these. We tried 10 and the flavors were all muted at best. They pretty much all tasted the same despite being very creative. Definitely they are a step above grocery store quality (even fancy grocery stores like Metropolitan Market). The textures were decent and the fillings were light and delicate. That said, we've had macarons that were just ethereal in texture and these fall short of those. So both in flavor and texture, not great. I still give them three stars for selection and price. Pretty decent price for macarons. You can find cheaper macarons, but at grocery stores where you can tell they've been previously frozen and resemble dense, sweet hockey pucks.

Deliciousness overload! I've tried crumble and flake, I've tried yellow leaf cafe, I've tried several little bakeries in Ballard but Lady Yum wins it all. Even though I live in Queen Anne, Lady Yum is totally worth the drive (cafe noveau is a close second for macaroons) Can't wait for them to open an outlet in Seattle!

I really love the concept. I really love the space. The service was friendly and excellent. I made a trip to Kirkland just to visit the shop on playoff day. The Seahawks vanella macarons in bright green and blue are cute and seasonal; although I didn't get them since I am not a fan of excessive food coloring in macarons (accents of bright colors are fine). The store had quite a bit of traffic for people who wanted to bring something quick but delicate to their game day party. The four macarons that I tried are lemon, maple bacon, salted caramel, and Hedgehog Toffee. The flavors were fine but nothing too exquisite. Texture-wise it was a little bit too chewy for me. Perhaps the macarons were just a tiny bit too thick? The balance between the cream and shell flavors didn't stand out for me. My friend and I enjoyed the shop. She said she has had better macarons, which I would tend to agree. Then again, my first macaron experience was Laduree in Paris and I traveled to Vancouver just for macarons once so I may be a bit spoiled. In all fairness for a neighborhood place, the place is just fine for enjoying a glass of wine with a friend and some desserts.
