We love Thai Mekong. The avocado fritters are great, pineapple fried rice, cashew chicken, popeyes chicken, you name it. I always get their spring rolls and mango rice too. Love this place for any mood. When I am sick, I get their boat soups! Yummmm.

Excellent food, creative daily specials and great service! We were happy to find this little restaurant tucked into a strip mall in Graham.

Disappointed! Came here because of the good review but the food was far from authentic Thai! Ordered Chicken Basil and the dish came out with a green tint to the sauce and a bunch of vegetables (bamboo shoots, peas, mushroom, etc) when it supposed to only have onion, green pepper, and basil! Pad Thai had a yellowish color to the noodle (weird...). The only thing that came out right was the egg rolls :/

Love love love this place. Close to home, great food, and awesome service! Plus big bonus you can order Thai tea with tapioca! We go here very often and have tried various things on the menu and are never disappointed. I'm a huge germaphobe so if I could give more stars I would because I love how clean this place is as well. Very kid friendly too. They will give kids color pages and crayons :D

Vicki, the owner is gracious and attentive. The service and food is excellent. The Cajan Asparagus was excellent. My husband had the Popeyes Peanut is was also excellent. You will not be disappointed.

Wish they delivered, I'd love a Thai Tea right now. The staff here is wonderful and I've always enjoyed the food.

Vicki the owner is very accommodating. I love their food and take out service - they will even help you carry food back to your car. Try the Mekong fried rice

We have had these dishes: - Tom Kha (Chicken) w/ Brown Rice - BBQ Pork w/ White Rice - Pad See Eew (Tofu) - Mekong Fried Rice (Tofu) - Bubble Tea x 2 - Thai Iced Tea - Beer I really liked Tom Kha, and my kids liked BBQ Pork and Pad See Eew. I tasted a little bitterness in the Fried Rice, and was so so. Overall we liked this place. The total bill was $49.15 (before tax), and will come back again when we are in Puyallup area.

  • Chad P.

Worst pad see ew ever! Both my wife and I had to return our order. The noodles were beyond soggy and the sauce was overpowering.

    (2)
  • Jackie H.

Absolutely loved the thai here. I had yellow curry lunch special. The presentation was awesome. Nice and quiet around 11 ish during the week. Lunch special were reasonably priced . Staff was friendly.

  • Liz C.

I am rating this 3 stars because it wasn't bad. But wasn't somewhere I would go out of my way for. I had the all village combo (a bbq plate), the pad see ew (noodles) and pad lad na (more noodles)... I was really craving noodles tonight... the village combo was good. I would order that again if I ever go there... but both noodle dishes were disappointing. The noodles were all clumped together in chunks. Not separated like they should be... I did like the vegetables in both noodle dishes... but I felt that they were lacking flavor. The pad see ew from ayothaya was better. But the alot of reviews seem good so maybe I caught them on an off day? I probably won't go back to find out. Like I said, not bad, but not great. The woman working was very friendly though.

  • Kaylee O.

The service we had was very good we were the only people in the restaurant. The spring rolls we had were really good but both our pad Thai as missing something and my shrimp was a little fishy. It was clean in there as well.

Horrible! Horrible food! Horrible service! Who puts yellow curry in crab wontons? And doesn't list it in their description? Who doesn't ask a level of spice for Thai food? Red pepper flakes on the table? Really?Avocado fritters?!? What avocado? We asked the server and she shrugged and rudely said 'there's avocado' and walked away. We were never offered drinks or dessert! I don't understand how the place is full!? Never again. I wish I could give it 0 stars.

  • J T.

We've been several times. Their curry is excellent and a nice blend of sweet and the curry wasn't overpowering. Very soft and delicious veggies (pepper/peas/carrot/potato) Pad Thai is also delicious. Only critique is that I ordered 3/5 spice. They simply put a handful of crushed chili on top with a handful of crushed peanuts and didn't mix it or cook it in. We also ordered the golden crab wontons. We were expecting something like crab Rangoon, but it was real crab in a yellow curry sauce inside the wonton. Not bad, but kind of an unusual taste combo. Prefer the crab Rangoon with cream sauce. Service is excellent, very friendly staff.

Me and the family came here for the first time, and not so great. The appetizer platter was good, but my pad see eww was the worst I've ver had. I ordered 4 stars and all they did for spice was add a TON of red pepper flakes on top of the plate. If I wanted flakes, I would have gone to Pizza Hut and made top ramen at home. Not happy

    (2)
  • Juliette-jane O.

Not bad at all. The food is good but most importantly the owner is really kind. We came just 40min before closing and she still welcomed us greatly and didn't once try to rush us. There's not a lot of good Asian food in the area but this one is a gem.

    (5)
  • Amanda M.

I can't believe this place has such good reviews. I've eaten here a few twice over the past few years because it's close to home, but it's easily the worst Thai food that I've ever had. No Thai restaurant should ever use chili pepper flakes to add spice to their dishes. Kind of a joke and it's a shame because they are nice people.

  • Laura G.

This is my very favorite Thai restaurant. I live in Portland, but anytime I get anywhere close by up there, I go! They have the BEST curry, the BEST peanut sauce and I love the owners, nice, honest, caring people!

    (5)
  • Scott N.

Always awesome food!!! And great service too. They have a wide variety whether you want noodles or curry. Best Thai food in Puyallup/ Graham.

    (5)
  • Melissa S.

I have to say, this is the best Thai around, especially in or near Puyallup... Very tasty, we have tried a few of the appetizers, fried rice meals and the pad thai, and fried banana and coconut ice cream....the rice is super tasty, its like they fry it in curry, its just some of the best fried rice I have ever had. And who thinks to put mango and dried cranberries in fried rice...so friggn good. The staff is friendly, not overly friendly, but the food is so good and quick it doesnt matter to me. Its clean, comfortable, and I certainly recommend it to anyone who is nearby. Also, as far as the Thai places Ive been, when I get the bill here Im always surprised...because its so LOW! Eat here.

  • Melissa D.

This place is amazing! I've been coming here for like 5 years. I've never had anything that wasn't amazing. Half priced appetizers on Monday evenings are my favorite! Golden prawns are to die for. All village meat platter is SOOO much food for so cheap! Totally recommend.

    (5)
  • Ebony S.

The food is great, 2x. I ordered out avocado fritters, Pad Kee Mao noodles with beef...5+ stars. Customer service on point, Friendly and Military discount!

  • Lindsey B.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! We live not too far away from this place and they have clearly started cutting costs in all angles. I ordered there panang curry which litterly tasted like the poured coconut milk over vegetables, and it said it came with egg plant. There was no egg plant in fact there was vegetables that weren't even on the menu in it. It's like they just made something up. Also they must've ran out of tubs to put he curry in because the put it in an aluminum pan and my meal along with my finance's spilled all over the bag. My finance ordered me gai and it was littlerly top ramon noodles with chicken and tasted like the poured a crap ton of sugar and fish sauce and that's it. TERRIBLE! We will not go back clearly cutting costs was more important then keeping loyal customers! O and apparently I can't post this without rating it so 1 star even though it should be none.

  • Kerly G.

I've been coming here for a few years now and I love it. The food is constantly great and the service is excellent. Everything is fresh made.

  • Risa C.

Definitely mine and my husbands favorite Thai place hands down! We come in multiple times a month and are never disappointed. Angel wings are my favorite and even though it's listed as an appetizer I always order it as my main dish with brown rice. My husband's favorite is the BBQ chicken and short ribs with house fried rice. Must order their Thai tea with your dish, best Thai tea I've ever had! Great customer service too!

  • Dan W.

This place is a regular for date night. We have friends from all over the country remark about the quality of the food and wish they could go back. I love the Red Curry, BBQ Pork, Thom Ka, Bubble Tea and Pho. My kids love the spring rolls and Pad Thai. The food is very affordable and incredibly good. I would recommend this place to anyone. Give it a try!

    (5)
  • Ray W.

Pretty good food, helpful service and worth a try.

  • Gabriel M.

The food here is amazing! My wife and I love to order for take out. The ambiance inside isn't that great, and the service wasn't awesome when we ate at the restaurant. The food kept us coming back. This is a perfect place to order for pickup and sit and home with the family to enjoy! Yellow curry and Mekong fried rice with egg role are must tries!

    (5)
  • Nicole S.

First thing when we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming. Had nice decorations and the background music my girlfriend loved. The Thai tea was amazing it was shaped in a nice glass too. We ordered 2 pad see ew and it was great. Only thing I would have changed was the noodles were not spicy enough. But def would come here again..

  • Stephanie T.

My husband and I were looking for great place to eat close by and boy did we find it! I love their yellow curry with chicken and brown rice and their spring rolls and mango bubble tea!! The lady there is super nice too! We've always had great service dining in and to go! This is definitely one of my favorite spots in the area!

    (5)
  • Margaret G.

My favorite place for pork fried rice and pork pad thai! They are the only 2 items I order on the menu, would like to try other offerings but cannot resist my favorites!

    (5)
  • Quang N.

This place is right next to work and i thought i'd give it a try. they have a great lunch special pad thai that comes with an egg roll and salad. The salad had a delicious dressing with mixed in corn bits. I love corn =) As many of you can see from the photos, the thai ice tea is huge and with crushed/slush ice instead of cubes. This gives it more of a texture when you drink it and you'll be plenty full. Will definitely return to try the pad see eww =D

  • Christina D.

This is our go to place to eat, and we have been frequent customers for about three years now. Our family loves Thai food and this place is the best! Mekong Thai is one of the few restaurants my whole family from my mother, husband, oldest to youngest kiddo can all agree. We eat here at least once a week, sometimes 2-3 times. The owners are lovely people and have our usual orders memorized. It is a sweet example of customer service that we have noticed with some of their other regulars too. Great, friendly service, clean and relaxing atmosphere, and excellent food!

    (5)
  • J D.

I usually don't write reviews for places until I have been a few times and can accurately judge, but we are getting ready to move so I have to do it based off my take out tonight only. I got the soup boat combo (without the beef or meatballs, shrimp only) and it was AMAZING. Too bad I didn't find this place earlier.

    (5)
  • Eric S.

Absolutely the BEST Thai food there is!!! Live love love the owner too, she is AMAZING

    (5)
  • Jonathan B.

The Thai iced coffee was nice, if a bit too sweet, the Spring Rolls were decent though the meat was overcooked but the pad Thai was swimming in a sauce that I've never encountered before, and had nothing to do with Tamarind. Even though I was the only one in the restaurant for most of the meal, no one stopped by to ask how things were, but they did clean the tables on either side of me several times with enough spray cleaner to over power the taste of the food. Really wanted to like this place since it's close to home, but doubt I'll be going back.

    (2)
  • Deon M.

Really enjoyed the bbq short ribs. Will be going back soon

  • Mary N.

Wonderful food! Best Thai I've had in the Seattle area. The Thai iced tea is the best around, and the pad Thai is amazing. Worth the drive!

  • Michelle L.

This trip was awful! The only nice thing was the fact that she comped my meal after I found something in my rice. The object was blue, and rubbery; paint-like. I brought it to the woman...away from everyone else so I didn't draw attention to this. She proceeded to say to me...and I quote..."well, here is the deal, we don't even have anything in here this color." I walked away without responding to her, because honestly, I would never EVER speak to someone this way in the food industry. I won't eat there again. I was very disappointed in being spoken to that way about something being in my food.

  • Lisa S.

I am updating my review. My first experience here was a bad one. But when I was starving and wanted take out I decided to just get some here. I really enjoyed my take out! Although I don't think their curry/pineapple rice is all that great compared to other places their rama noodles are delicious! So I am a fan now.

  • Mark H.

FANTASTIC!!!! You can't go wrong with Thai from Thai Mekong. We had take out this evening and not one thing about it was bad. The welcome was great at pickup and the food was even better when we got home. Would recommend to anybody. Best Thai I have had in a long time!!!! MUST TRY IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA!!!!

  • Jarod M.

Vicky has a great thing going at this family run Thai spot. Service is warm and inviting with authentic flavored cuisine. We love the Tom Yum soup, fresh spring rolls, lettuce wraps, skewers, and the peanut sauce is my wife's favorite. The standard Thai choices will not disappoint. After several years of regular visits, we still continue to eat in and dine out several times a month.

  • Jennifer K.

We live about 45 minutes north of Puyallup, so whenever we happen to be in the area eating at Thai Mekong is considered a special treat. Unlike many Thai restaurants, there are a few specialty dishes at this restaurant you won't find elsewhere. Their avocado fritters are to die for, and their Mango Delight and Mee Gai are amazing. The more traditional and common Thai dishes (Tom Kah, Phad Thai, etc.) are also very good and come highly recommended. Above all, though, the service at this restaurant is far better than anywhere I've ever eaten. The owner is incredibly gracious and goes above and beyond to make sure her customers are taken care of.

Excellent Thai food. The BBQ chicken is great on the deluxe noodles. I have been going here often and always pleased.

  • Trever D.

It is an anomaly to find a restaurant of this quality this far from Seattle. Billy and Vicky the owners are the nicest people and their food never ceases to amaze me. Everything is good but the fried rice is amazing.

I visit thai Mekong for take out about once a week! I love their spring rolls, pad thai, and yellow curry!!! Everything I have ever eaten here has been fresh and tasty. The owner is so nice, infact everyone is extremely kind. The atmosphere is inviting, clean, and fresh. I can not say enough about this place! Great food!

I love this place. Great food..... I crave for their green curry and sticky rice all the time.... the atmosphere is nice, cleanly, and quiet. The owner is very sweet and personable. Best thai food around pierce county

Great local place, owners are nice folks, and food is prepared fresh. We are repeat customers for past few years. Avacado Prawns and Jasmine Tea My Fav. Clean, local place. You wont be dissapointed, sometimes it can feel chilly inside.

This was our first experience with a Thai restaurant, and it was great! The awesome staff helped us make our decisions and the food was absolutely delicious. Beautiful atmosphere and good prices.

    (4)
  • Pinky T.

Very friendly and great staff. The Pad Thai is good but the portions are half of what you would get somewhere else. Also ordered the Calamari, more fried onions than anything. Peanut and Pineapple sauce's are very good. Overall I would eat there again.

We have been to Thailand and have friends from there cook us food and in comparison this food is great!

So I read a great review for this place in the TNT and since my area of town lacks the benefit of good restaurants I decided to try it. I decided to stray from my normal order of curry and try something different. The review I read raved about the BBQ so I ordered the All Village combo since it included a sample of all the BBQ meats. Unfortunately it tasted like your average teriyaki, the salmon was the only thing that stood out otherwise I was not sure if I was eating chicken, pork or beef! I also ordered fresh spring rolls and they are so huge that they could be a meal alone! I did love the option of brown rice with the order...it was very good! The Thai ice tea was good as well. But if I do go back I will have to try the curry!

My favorite place to get pad thai! Everyone is friendly, food is great, and fast. Will keep going there!

    (5)
  • Tania B.

Their food is delicious and priced very reasonably. I dislike one of the newer servers though since October? She is oblivious to tables that are done or need something even when it wasn't busy. There was a table next to us that was waiting for over 15 minutes for a water refill, check, and a box. We finally flagged the waitress down for them and even that was hard! My husband tried waving his hand several times at her but finally had to kind of yell to get her attention.

  • Jess M.

Wow some good Thai food. Good service clean place my new go to spot I had the pad see ew which is my favorite springs rolls are also good and they have BBQ dishes which I like too well come back

Thai Mekong is a fine graham restaurant. I grew up here and food is pretty boring. This is solid food at a good price.

    (4)
  • Holly H.

Best Thai food around!! The BBQ short ribs and the pad thai are absolutely amazing! The service is also wonderful. The owner is so friendly, helpful, and always has a huge smile on her face. My only complaint about this place is the temperature.. its always freezing cold in there, so you may want to bundle up!

    (5)
  • Sherri M.

Thai food on south hill 1 of the best, great food, lots of selection, and service is perfectly relaxing. Specials are worth a try they are seasonal, but so delish. Close to Graham but worth the drive from puyallup.

  • Ron D.

Excellent food an service! Address on Yelp is wrong. Been eating there the last couple of years an its some of the best Thai food Around.

    (5)
  • Curt C.

The address is wrong. Don't rely on yelp to get you there. Food is so-so. Ordering more than 2 stars just means they'll throw on some chili flakes at the end. Boo. Mango sticky rice too syrupy, very little flavor.

  • Christine B.

My boyfriend and I have tried the restaurant twice. The only reason we gave it a second try is because it is close to home where the restaurant selections are few. The first time we went, I was told they could not make the fresh rolls without meat. This bothered me on two levels- one, it is a fairly simple request to please a customer and two, it most likely meant their "fresh" rolls were pre-made, which is gross and a sign of a lazy chef. On our first visit, I had the Pa Rama Peanut, and my boyfriend had the Mee Gai. Both of us were disappointed with how greasy the food was. On our second visit, I had the Pa Rama Peanut again, and it was actually worse than the first time- in addition to being very greasy it both smelled and tasted fishy, and when I complained, I was reassured that it was fish-free. The smell was so bad, I could not continue to eat it. My boyfriend ordered off-menu Garlic Chicken, and he also detected a fishy smell. Neither of us ate much and we won't try it again.

Love this place! I love the lion king roll. My kids love the food to....the Orange bears are so cute!

  • John P.

This is by far the best Thai in the Puyallup/Graham area. It's one of the best restaurants around period. Everything tastes fresh and the place is immaculate. My personal favorite is the chicken lettuce wraps and the Mee Gai. But, everything we've tried has been good. Lots of flavor without being too heavy.

    (5)
  • C. S.

The food and the service is excellent. The atmosphere was excellent. A nice, clean restaurant. The Pad Thai was delicious. The Egg Rolls were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend their peanut sauce. Also, if you are looking for something for dessert, their Mango with Sweet Rice is an excellent way to end the meal. I will definitely be going again soon.

  • Dannielle H.

I went into this place tonight on a whim, thinking that a Thai place closer to my house would be ever so much more convenient than the one I love on South Hill. I should have made the drive. While the service was wonderful and they were nice , this is the worst Thai food I have ever eaten in my life. The peanut sauce is bland and tastes like glorified peanut butter, it was not cooked well, and I cut my tooth on something mixed into the food that had the consistency of glass or pottery. I was hoping that I would finally find a good Thai place near home, but I was sorely disappointed. If you want decent Thai food, go to Ayothaya on South Hill.

    (1)
  • Jordan G.

Eaten here a few times now. Always good flavors and good portions for the price. I would recommend the Angel Wings and the fresh spring rolls from the appetizer menu, with peanut sauce substituted for the pineapple on the rolls. Pad Thai is also good without the chili flakes that they normally come with.

  • Dunja M.

We went there tonight on a hunch, not knowing what to expect and we ended up loving the food as well as the staff! We were seated promptly, it wasn't very busy at first but picked up later. Upon entering the restaurant was very clean and smelled great. We came with our two kids and they were treated so nicely, it was offered to prepare half portions for them for half the price which I appreciated very much. My husband got the BBQ shortribs with rice which he liked although he said that they could be a bit less fatty, I tried them and I liked the flavor. We started with the chicken Satay which were superfresh and delicious, I then had the Tom Kha, a coconut based soup with lemongrass, chicken, fresh tomato and mushrooms, it was simply put delicious! I ordered the noodle salad (#15) it was good, but I expected it different. I wish it would have had the noodles cold and the Eat in it hot, served on a bed of salad, I also will omit the mint next time, the flavor made me feel a little like I forgot to take out my mint gum. After the mint was sifted out I enjoyed my dish! We ordered tofu fried rice for the kids and that was really tasty, although I concede, a little too much oil used, but again very tasty. We had a great experience here today, the food was most definitely fresh and lovingly prepared, the service friendly and efficient, the price was also right and importantly, this was a clean restaurant, with table linens and clean bathrooms. Great neighborhood place, I am recommending Thai Mekong wholeheartedly and we will be back for sure!

The best Thai in South Pierce County! The owners are very nice as well. My two favorite dishes are the phad thai & the yellow curry. Their prices are very reasonable.

    (5)
  • Amar K.

Good so far! Loving their spices that they use and it really reminds me of the Thai I used to get in SF! The boba is a nice touch and is tasty to boot!

  • Jarett B.

My wife and I eat there at least once a week and it never gets old. Either eat in or take out, the service is always stupendous! I've had about everything on the menu but the wife does'nt venture much from the green curry that she's had everywhere and swears this is the best. It's the best Thai in Washington for sure. Serving sizes are perfect for a normal person that wants to have leftovers.

I Love to eat at Thai Mekong! I have dreams about their BBQ short ribs and chicken yellow curry. My mouth is watering with temptation as I am writing this. They also have brown rice and really healthy dishes like chicken salad and lettuce wraps. I love coming here because the waitress ALWAYS smiles and the bill is never overpriced. If you want great Thai food and money left over in your pocket, go to Thai Mekong.

Best Thai food in the south sound!

  • Shorty's K.

I must have to say they have the best Pad Kee Mao or in other words (Druken Noodles). The papaya salad is oh so delicious too. The service is great and a very warm cozy feeling when you are at their restaurant. You have to try their BBQ shortribs also. The money you spend here is worth every penny. i would have to say I would definitely try this place again whenever I am in the area.

  • Stefanie L.

The food was so fresh! My husband and I are visiting from Houston, Texas where we eat all sorts of Asian cuisine regularly, but this stuff was really good... So good that I am writing this review. To quote my husband, "this is the best pad Thai I've ever had!" He ordered beef pad Thai (the spicy scale goes from 1-5 by the way) and I ordered the beef pad see ew which came with a solid serving of beef and super fresh veggies (baby corn and green beans). Oh yeah and the service was great too! Do yourself a favor and grab a meal here :).

This place is great! Delicious food and friendly staff. The restaurant itself is clean and up to date. It's a comfortable atmosphere. We ordered family style, so we had 6 dishes to share. Everything was very good.

Well i had an appointment with my doctor in Seattle and my sister asked can you drop off something to my friend in Seattle. Anything my big sister ask, its a given that you deliver for her. After leaving my appointment at the doctors at Harborview we get some shopping done in downtown Seattle. Wife loves the Zara store there. After expending energy walking around Seattle we made a horrible mistake to go eat at Bahama Breeze at South Center Mall before making it here to Thai Mekong Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner named Vicki. What a wonderful human soul. Its really refreshing to meet someone by the way she carries herself. She says let me feed you guys for driving 4 hours here to bring me the gifts your sister sent. We both declined since we were still regrettably stuffed from our previous stop Restaurant was tucked in a shopping strip. Really well decorated with the lucky bamboo and the nice table setting. For starter we got Thai iced tea. What makes this drink even more special is the crushed iced. They took it up a notch on their ice game, Most restaurants have cubed ice(meh) pellet ice (oh yeah) crushed ice (oh yeah yeahhh) Then we get served with i do believe is something filled with creme cheese and avocados. Bomb.com We also received Pad se Ew with the fixings. Very flavorful with their sauce and its really hard to achieve a charred wok taste without going overboard to make it taste burnt. We also got a tossed salad dish that was popping off with all sorts of Thom Yumm flavor. Every dish we got was hitting the palate like I've never experienced when it comes to a Thai restaurant. #PalateGameProper Go visit this gem tucked some beautifully scenery. The drive was very enjoyable with Mt Rainier in the back drop. A+++++++ Thanks for letting us bring food home to last the rest of the week Vicki. I was not being biased towards this establishment since i got the hookup, they scored really high in regards to Thai food. Highly recommend and it will be hard pressed to be disappointed if they continue to serve up classic food like we received

Family owned, fantastically friendly service and outstanding Thai and Vietnamese food. Brown rice is an option if white rice isn't desired. The green curry is so tasty and the avocado, prawn spring rolls are so good and fresh. If you want very traditional Thai food, visit this wonderful restaurant. I go whenever I can and the lunch specials are so great too!
