I was in town from Arizona visiting family. They had heard of the place but never gone. First impression of the aesthetics ,I did not think one way or the other. 5 minutes after we ordered, what was about 7 rolls we have everything. The quality was very good and the rolls were very well made I was overall floored at the turnaround on ordering. I would eat here in a heartbeat again.

Currently: Avoid At All Costs In The Past: Really Good This is the tail (sic) of two fishes. It was the best of fish, it was the worst of fish... So, Sushi Ring used to be really good. They had professional, highly skilled sushi chefs who knew how to examine the fish for parasites, ensured the fish cases were always closed and cold, had high cleanliness standards, etc...but no longer. These days the fish are warm, and often make you sick. I personally got a really bad case of E. tarda (requiring weeks of antibiotic treatment). Friends and family have had instant barf sessions. Other Yelpers have tossed their cookies... All in all, it's not what it once was. For now, I strongly urge people to avoid Sushi Ring. The service is great, but the food is poisonous.

I recently went back to sushi ring and was very disappointed by the quality. Extra rice, warm fish, and rude customer service sums it up really quick. Sushi Ring is not what it once was with Elvis... It's best to avoid any chance of food poisoning and go elsewhere.

Who doesn't love all you can eat sushi?! For the price, the quality is pretty good and the service is great. The only downfall is that not all nigiri that are advertised on placemats are available. Definitely get calamari and the Nick's Rock Belly roll!

This was my favorite sushi spot for three years, but lately I've noticed that the managers here continue to treat not only my girlfriend and I like we are going to steal everything in the place, but others as well. The food is fine, but if there's no spot at the bar top you and who ever you are with must both do either a la carte or all you can eat. "You cannot not be trusted to not share." Tonight will be the last time I come here, the food has always been good, but when it's more expensive then other places and you get treated like this, I can't justify paying for it anymore.

I will NEVER go here again. Nor will I ever let anyone I know go here. When a friend asks where we should go for sushi and we yelp something, if they even say this place, my blood starts to boil and I immediately go into vent mode. I ordered over the phone and when I went to pick it up, I paid and even tipped (even though I was picking up). I asked if I could get a little spicy mayo for the order and the guy goes over to ask the woman. She immediately goes into a tirade at how I should've ordered it on the phone. And if I order next time, that I should make sure to say it or she wouldn't give me any. And might I add, all this scolding and berating happened in front of a place full of customers! I didn't even know how to react because I have never received such treatment as a customer in my life. So I will again say, I will NEVER EVER go here again or recommend it to anyone! I would never want someone to go through what I had. THE WORST EVER. As for the sushi.. Mediocre at best.

If you eat lots, this shop could be a good, but rice are bigger than neta(fish)..that is not what I like(picky Japanese person who eats little) But ok taste.

Most all you can eat sushi places are belt or buffet style which can make freshness an issue. The awesome thing about Sushi Ring is that the sushi is made fresh in front of you from reasonably fresh fish. I highly recommend the albacore tuna, sex on the beach roll, and the basil salmon roll. Also, be sure to come here with an empty stomach!

A group of us came here on the 15th, and 6 out of the 8 of us got food poisoning! My friend contacted Francis the owner and everyone contacted the department of health. Department of health concluded that the salmon is what got everyone sick. When my friend called Francis, she just said prove it was me, without a doctor's note you will never prove that it was here. I will not be returning here.

I am visiting family from Los Angeles, and they say this is the best AYCE sushi in the area. I believe them. But, for those from Los Angeles or even from metropolitan Seattle down south, this is not going to be your best sushi experience. In any case, the food is okay to good. I have nothing bad to say about it. The service was fast enough. I ordered the Ikura, which was good. The sushi skin handroll was enormous. The quality of the fish is consistent with other AYCE restaurants. You are never going to get the best quality of fish when are at an AYCE place. This place is supposedly the only AYCE that serves both handrolls and nigiri sushi. The other thing to note is that the nomenclature that is standard in Southern California is not the same. So, don't expect a dragon roll or a philly roll or a BSCR to be called that here.

The best food, service and prices hands down. I live the two different menus one for raw and the other for cooked food. It makes it so much easier to take people who have never had sushi or anything raw they can try half raw and half cooked first. The people are always friendly and real comedians always makes you smile. I highly recommend to anyone! :-)

Went for all you can eat dinner (29.99) with my girl. Probably one of the worst sushi experiences of my life! 30 bucks for all you can eat is shameful considering the quality you're getting. Each order is made with SOOO much rice that it's impossible to enjoy what you're eating. I understand all you can eats use extra rice in each order but this is pathetic. I had a mix of nigiri, hand, and cut roll...it was all slopped together. Sushi Ring is not run by Asians and it shows! The owners were eating and chewing behind the sushi bar!!!!! I really don't write reviews unless I'm really impressed or utterly dissatisfied. I know there are positive reviews on yelp about Sushi Ring but I don't think these people are true connoisseurs. I am half Japanese and have lived in LA all my life. I am very well aware of what good sushi is, heck I'll even put up with mediocre sushi, but this was dog food.

This is a review of the All You Can Eat sushi experience at the bar. Sushi Ring is one of those places you go when you are sick of over priced sushi. It's also one of those places you go when you are hungry and ready to go crazy. Because you LOVE sushi and you cant choose between only two rolls. Food: -The fish quality is very good, but certainly not amazing. The quality of the sushi is amazing though. These sushi chefs know what's up. Lupe and gang will hook you up with what ever you want. Just ask, it will always be delicious every time. (I recommend the "Sex on the Beach Roll"). Staff: -Lupe and his crew of chefs and fry cook in the back are super good at their jobs. Great sushi chefs with experience. You'll be amazed how fast, good quality and well attentive they are to their guests. The gal that runs the rest of the customer facing functions is not very nice all the time. She is typically very busy and isn't in the mood for B.S. Just let her do her thing and be polite and you will be fine though. Atmosphere: -The sushi bar is a ton of fun. The folks that show up to eat there are great, friendly and happy to there (just as you!) Try this place out. There are a ton of regulars who love this place and show up weekly for a reason.

Didn't make it a full block before throwing up!!! I used to eat here all the time and Elvis had very high standards. When Elvis left so did the standards and quality! The interior is not calming at all! And it's incredibly hot! Most sushi places are no more then 67 degrees, this place was 75! The ice in my like warm water melted in minutes! I went in and had the all you can eat. Started with calamari that was not given time to cool down so when I went to grab a piece it literally burned my finger tips and was way over cooked. Super crunchy, impossible to bite thru and chewy! I also ordered the muscles. When those came out they were way too hot to eat. When they finally did cool down enough to eat the sauce they were covered in was really heavy and over powering. You couldn't even taste the muscles. I scraped off the sauce to find what appeared to be undercooked muscles! I had 5 different rolls all of which were amateur at best. The rice is bitter and uneven, it's not wrapped tightly at all, and the pieces were not cut evenly, to the point a few pieces wouldn't even fit in my mouth! They are skimpy on the cuts of fish (very thin) and I'm pretty sure there was no avocado in anything! (Menu said there should be) The nigiri I ordered tasted like wasabi! They use 3 time the amount you should when making nigiri. The rice wasn't tight so when you go to pick it up it just falls apart. Then when I decided enough was enough. I paid my bill and started my 3 block walk home. I didn't even make it a block before grabbing my stomach and losing my $75 meal all over the side walk!!! I ended up throwing up all night long!

A friend told me about this place, especially about how they have their all you can eat sushi deal. I really enjoy sushi, and I like the idea of 'all you can eat' but I was a little worried that it would be sushi that's been sitting out for ages under a lamp. My worries were eliminated immediately, since the nigirizushi and makizushi were all made to order. I'm not really a roll kind of person, so I went straight for their nigirizushi. The rice-to-fish ratio was pretty good. I recommend their tamago (egg) sushi. It was delicately sweet and a good size. One gripe I had about one of the makizushi I had was that the saba (mackerel) tasted kind of off and it was sort of soaked, ruining the rice. The service was pretty good as well. The waiter was very attentive and polite, and the itamae was really polite too. As for the all you can eat, you should probably approach it with a huge appetite. It's about $30. Luckily for me, I can eat an infinite amount of sushi, so the price was easily justified. Overall, my experience there was pretty good. I enjoyed the food and I enjoyed everyone's friendly demeanor. I'll definitely be returning to the restaurant soon.

I went and got the all you can eat this last weekend. The fish itself was pretty alright quality, though all the nigiri was bathed in a wierd sauce that really distracted from the flavor of the fish. It came out a lot better after I requested they make it without the sauce. I tried the spicy tuna roll and thought it cut with too much mayo to the point that I couldn't bear to finish that roll. The ginger they provided alongside with the wasabi was a bit past it's prime: flimsy and clearly not fresh (I was wondering how that could be as the stuff is pickled, right??). I've been to many a sushi buffet/all you can eat, and this one is the most mediocre (bordering on pretty bad) that I've been to. It appears to be owned by a mexican family, which may explain why some of the sushi preparation was different from other places I've been to. Also, be aware that on weekends the all you can eat sushi is considered "dinner" all day, and thus charged at a higher rate. After being seated we were pointed to the menu to read the "conditions" for the buffet, and included in the fine print: you have up an hour to eat. The service was pretty slow, which may have been explained by that point in the menu. Similar to some of the other reviews, one of the ladies who works there is downright rude (but we eventually got a much more pleasant waitress--maybe her daughter?) Strange place. I plan to go elsewhere next time instead.

The only local place for us that has all you can eat ($29/ea, but you can get a spider roll, which is worth it)... my husband and I love this place. The chefs are consistent, and a couple of them are really good at guessing what we might like, and making us something new or different. It's not the most earth shattering sushi place we've ever been to, but most all you can eat places aren't. It's tasty, affordable, has great kid options, and the staff is very friendly. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the cramped, kind of awkward seating, and the fact that I've had better (just not in this area).

  • Brett S.

They really push the all-you-can-eat. Other than that it was good. A buddy and I tried the all you can eat and the rest of our group just order ala carte. If some people in your group want all you can eat, and the rest don't, then they make you sit at the bar. Even if you have a group of 6. The food was good and I will probably go back but I prefer other sushi spots in the area. The all you can eat doesn't include sashimi and you have to eat all the rice on your plate. There are a few other rules you have to follow when having the all you can eat so make sure to read them first.

If you want food poisoning, then this place is for you!!! We came here with a group of friends and we all got food poisoning from the salmon. Based on department of health, that was the only thing we ate in common. Fever, vomiting, cramps and diarrhea! All had the same symptoms and around same time! The food is cheap quality and lots of rice for a little fish! We called the owner Francis and she got very defensive and said we were lying and to prove that we got sick there. She did not offer even an apology but instead insisted on yelling!! She is so mean and cheap that one time we came there with friends and their 4 year old. The little girl ate edamame and Francis wanted to charge her an all you can eat price!! Just ridiculous! Save yourself the vomiting and money!

Love this place. The all you can eat is No Joke. In my attempt to eat all I could, I was $8 short because the rolls are so big. If you come, come hungry. Service is good, food is made quickly and portions are generous.

I found my way here after a long day at work, in search of the legendary "all-you-can-eat sushi" that I had heard tell about. I actually think the price worked out to be about the same as if I had just gotten the rolls 'a la carte', and then I wouldn't have felt guilty about getting some 'lower value' type items like miso soup, so I wonder if the all-you-can-eat deal might be a bit of a trap if your appetite can't manage to put away like four full-size rolls in an hour or something. But that is nothing more than a lesson for next time, because the sushi was delicious! I tried the Elvis roll based on previous Yelp reviews, which was amazing--it had some sort of crunchy bit inside that I couldn't quite place, although I think it was what they were calling the "crystal shrimp" that may have been fried. I also tried the "mountain roll", which was similar but with cuts of sashimi on top and then some shredded surimi on top of that, and was also similarly delicious. I didn't think I actually had room for a third roll after that, so I went with some salmon nigiri and some unagi [eel] nigiri; the salmon was good, with a generously sized cut of sashimi, but the unagi was amazing--the chef heated up the fish in a little broiler under the counter before he put it on the rice, and it was incredible what it did for the flavor. I was seated at the sushi bar and didn't have any of the service issues that other people have reported, though the sushi chef was certainly more attentive than the one waitress that was there. So, while my ordering strategy might be different next time, I would return with no reservations. Keep in mind, though, that unless you can eat more than three large rolls of sushi in one sitting, the all-you-can-eat is not that great a deal. (Also, a random observance: Not only is there no 'free wi-fi', but the entire shopping center seems to be a dead zone for cell reception, so don't come expecting to do much with your smartphone. I was only barely able to "check in" while I was there.)

I absolutely LOVE made to order sushi. This is a pretty popular concept in Vegas, and when I found out there was one in WA, I went crazy! Honestly, this a gem located in Everett! The quality of their food and service is incredible. It has that small town vibe with amazing sushi paired with it. I always love sitting at the bar, its worth waiting to be seated there since you get service right away in front of the sushi chefs. Plus, since it is near a naval base they also give military discount! Everyone is super sweet there and overall a fun experience since you get unlimited sushi of your choosing, sides, specialty rolls, hand rolls, mussels, calamari, and more 1I love going back whenever I can. One of the best places to get sushi in the area! I highly recommend!!!

Child's play sushi. Came in with a buddy because ya know.....a playa be craving sushi sometimes. So sat down, restaurant was extremely busy and there was only 2 people working. A couple playas was feeling neglected. Service was ehhh. Checked out to menus, didn't see anything too special, saw the fish in the showcases, wasn't too impressed. Ordered a dragon, mountain, and Elvis roll. Lady rolled our Elvis roll, roll was falling apart. Dragon roll and mountain roll was good though. Downfall was the price...10 dollars a roll? And it's not even poppin doe. Don't eat here.

When Elvis is here, this business has always been a pleasant experience. The last few times I have come (which won't be happening any longer) there has been an EXTREMELY rude lady with a an accent has been there with absolutely terrible customer service. My family and I had to wait ten minutes just for her to come take our order and that was because we had to get her attention. It just so happens that we were the minority there and everyone else who was the majority received immediate service without attitude. It's a joke how we were treated and I do not recommend this establishment to anybody.

  • Charlotte S.

Rude service. The lady waiter was really rude to my friend and I when we had some questions about the food. It was a bother for her to answer us. Then she turns around and treats everyone else just fine. Bipolar. The sushi was good but there are better places with much better service. They seem to pick and choose who they want to be nice to.

I have never eaten so much sushi in my life! The food was excellent. It was quickly and neatly prepared and there are no complaints about the food. The service however was lacking. The waiting time took forever and there were even two table opened. The hostess did not seat us until 15 mins later. Other than that the food was excellent and they really push the all you can eat! It is a really good place to eat when you're starving or a good spot to hang out with you friend to talk and catch up.

Seriously the best sushi place around!! I'm picky as I have lived in Japan, and know how sushi is suppose to taste like! Can't get anymore authentic then this!

I've been going sense the first week they opened I feel like I grew up with them from the days of Elvis to now. I have been there a lot of times and never had a bad experience. The sushi is fresh rolls are inventive and they let you modify them for your tastes. If you want a great time and feel like family your comming the the right place for get sushi.

  • Susie O.

I walked in with a good attitude, in spite of the reviews that I took to heart. But they were right!! Omg!! OK first... what're a family of Mexicans doing running a sushi restaurant???? I'll tell you -- they're doing badly!! The three of us walked in and only one of us was allowed to order drinks. When the other two tried, they were... and I kid you not, treated like they were asking for a third miracle for canonization!! Then, when we asked for the other two beverages, one was wrong. Ya, I know, it was tough, two drinks at one time. However, they were generous enough to bring two of us waters. I guess the third one would've been outta their budget. The sushi review? OK, hang tight. Me and my family just came from Boise, so fresh fish always tastes good!! However, the great taste of sushi doesn't hide the fact that it's loosely rolled. The tempura was way over fried, too. Other than that, the flavors were all there and decent tasting but definitely not quality. I think I would've felt better about the sushi had the service been even marginal. But being stared down because two of the three of us didn't get drinks and made to feel terrible because I didn't order the all you can eat sushi deal is just unacceptable! Rude would've been better than what we got. Oh, I did notice that regulars are treated very well. They are offered a plate of fried clams upon entering and spoken to very nicely. It seems the accents tend to clear up a little bit for those people. Also, if you don't understand Momma Gorda, don't ask her to repeat herself, she gets pissed!! I believe they push the all you can eat is because if you order one thing at a time, you have to wait an exorbitant amount of time before you can order the next thing... unless you're a regular. So, my opinion is that there are way too many other sushi restaurants to ever darken that doorstep again. My money is best spent on a restaurant that values it's customers, both regular and newcomers, that just might come again.

Very awesome service. They were super busy but got our drink orders and sushi orders in very fast. Got our first order of sushi within 15 minutes after appetizers. Friendly staff and the food is great quality.

I was pleasantly surprised by place! First of all, the portions were huge compared to most other sushi places. Not to mention the prices were low for how much you received! It is a very clean and welcoming atmosphere. All the staff was very friendly! Especially the lady who waited on us! It was kind of a mom and pop sushi place. So I think she was the owner! Over all it was a great experience and I will definitely be back .

  • James M.

Average food, Service Sucks, Overpriced Food is just average nothing special to write home about. I thought with all you can eat it would either suck or blow me out of the water. It was just every day average sushi. The "waitress" talked more on her cell phone than dealing with customers. Finally got up and sat at the bar. All you can eat in one hour $28.95, peel a layer of rice off that roll, you are paying for the rice. Anyone that says this is great place has to never had real sushi before because this was rice cakes with fish. I heard Elvis was the owner but he sold the business, too bad because the new owner running it into the ground and fast.

I had been craving sushi for a while and instead of going to a place where I had to limit how much I wanted to eat due to prices, I decided I wanted all-you-can-eat! I love eating nigiri sushi and hand rolls so this place was definitely the best deal for what my boyfriend and I were getting! With tax and tip we paid about $75 for both of us, but we both got the AYCE dinner. We started our meal with miso soup and salad along with octopus calamari (spicy version=sriracha sauce on top). Later came the mussels baked with mayonaise on top which were really good! The various nigiri dishes we had were hamachi, maguro, tamago, ika, imitation crab, unagi, and amaebi. Then we each had a salmon skin hand roll (which was my favorite!) and my boyfriend had the elvis roll. We finished the night with delicious vanilla ice cream topped with whip cream. The service was good and our sushi chef was great! We will definitely come again!

Honestly I was very suspicious of this place.. I mean how good can "all you can eat" sushi really be?? Especially for $28.95? Well call me surprised because honestly is was very good... not the greatest ever but very good! Good enough I'd go back if I was super hungry. We sat at the counter, which was nice because you get to order with the sushi chef as apposed to a waitress at the tables. The chefs were careful in preparation but quick too. All the fish seemed to be fresh, and the rolls were delicious, especially the Basil Salmon roll!! I wasn't a huge fan of the calamari appetizer, but oh well it was included. Clean, friendly staff, good service, tasty sushi. Yep I will come again.

I must admit. I was a huge skeptic walking in and based on other reviews, I wasn't alone. It's nestled in a little shopping center across from Silver Lake. The outside is clean and new. Inside, new and clean. The staff is super nice. I will say the get behind a little with cleaning up dishes from previous customers (hence the 4 stars). Sushi: Grade A+ So far some of the best that I've had in Washington. They do have an all you can eat price at around $30. It's probably worth it, if you are starving. The rolls are at a great price and they are made to order and not on a belt. They've made a true believer out of me. If you're around the area and need a sushi fix, I highly recommend the place.

Arent we glad this place is close to our house. After driving by this place for the longest time, we have finally decided to stop by and try out their AYCE menu. Once we walked in, we were greeted and the host sat us at the sushi bar. Once we sat down, she was ready to take our order and within minutes, calamari and our first roll have already arrived. The elvis roll was delicious and the fried calamari was one of the best I had in the seattle area. Every roll we had were tasty and i cant wait to go back to try more. The service throughout our meal was excellent, not sure why people here are complaining about their service. Overall we made a great decision and will definitely make more trips here in the future

Elvis has left the building and what's left is still in good hands. Customer service is good, attentive chefs and staff when arriving and seated. If you're ordering the all you can eat, the chefs will always make eye contact with you to make sure you have enough to eat, I like that! The sushi selection is very good. From nigiri to hand rolls and all in between. You can't pick a bad roll as they have cooked rolls as well as raw rolls as well. Enough to satisfy all picky eaters. The fish is fresh and the salmon was so buttery I wanted the tray as sashimi. One thing about the all you can eat is its everything on the menu is fair game which is rare to see. Make sure you're hungry because the chefs won't stop unless you tell them to. Appetizers are offered with the AYCE but I skip it to save room for sushi. The only downside of this place is that its very small and if you are eating AYCE its wise to sit at the bar rather a table because you'll get your food faster. This is soon becoming my favorite place on the north end.

To truly enjoy this place, it requires three things: Timing, frequency, and assertiveness. First is timing: you ought to get to Sushi Ring a few minutes before they start lunch or dinner to avoid having to wait or being seated at a table. The best place to sit is the bar if you are going for the all you can eat sushi within the one-hour time limit. If you are going to just order ala carte, then a table will be fine as the waitress will be by to take your order to the chef. Otherwise, the sushi bar is where the real eating takes place. Second is frequency: your experience and service will improve the more you come to Sushi Ring (you might even be in when Elvis is there!!). The staff does a pretty good job of remembering their regulars even if you have only been in about two or three times that month. They also become increasingly warm towards you if they see you enough and you know how their restaurant works. This benefits you as they will be more on top of making your order and refilling your water. Third is assertiveness: when sitting at the bar for the one-hour all you can eat time limit, you need to be loud and know what you want when ordering from the chef. These guys get pretty busy trying to keep up with everyone's orders, so when they are ready for you, be sure you have already picked a line-up for your meal there. I suggest you try one of everything including their decadent hand rolls that have been made with truly masterful hands. Be sure to try some of the secret items not on the menu. Just ask and you will get a big surprise, not just by the names, but by how awesome they taste. :)

Is six stars possible? Okay, so let's say you want a refined sushi meal - if you're headed to a place in a strip mall for said refined meal, you're in trouble as it is. But if you want to gorge yourself on some mighty fine and fresh sushi, this is the place you need to come. Sushiland? No. Blue C? No. Todai? God no. Situated across the street from Silver Lake in a little strip mall, I've seen studio apartments larger than Sushi Ring. It doesn't matter - pull up a seat at the L shaped sushi bar if you can, or sit at one of the tables looking out the window, and you'll forget all about size. Size doesn't matter, right? ;) The head sushi chef is Elvis, as is noticeable by the massive amount of Elvis memorabilia he has. He's a cheeky guy - he will tease you and convince you that you're not done even when you are, you really are. The rest of the staff is ridiculously attentive and just as good at making sushi. Get the all you can eat and gorge yourself on albacore. I've eaten at a LOT of sushi restaurants and I have NEVER had albacore so perfect. Oh my God, I could've made a meal out of the albacore alone. And for the love of all things holy, do not use soy sauce on it! It comes pre-sauced. There's a flat screened TV in there, usually showing sports (it was the Seahawks when I went). They will make things for you that aren't on the menu. I had the pleasure of a lovely cucumber and sashimi salad, which I received after being asked the question "do you like cucumbers?" (I mean, really, who doesn't?) My mom, when asked if she wanted some mochi ice cream (get the green tea mochi ice cream, seriously), turned it down and was offered melon instead. Out of the fridge came a gorgeous half of cantalope - a slice was taken and chunks were made of it and then doused with a helping of plum wine. There are no words, you guys. No words at all. Go. Or don't, that'll just leave more room at the bar for me, but go. (And if you've never sat at a sushi bar and you're not sure if you want to, you want to here. Believe me.)

We come here often. We love the food but the service is horrible. Very rude and slow. Today, we discovered a new place in Mill Creek called Oceano. Food is just as good except service is so much better and restaurant is much cleaner. I can now say that I will not be coming back to Sushi Ring. Anybody else not happy with their service but loves the style of food I very much recommend Oceano's.

Do I accept this place to be my wife? No, I refuse to wear the sushi ring. Forgive my corniness, but I just had to. I will tell you that Sushi Ring is one of those places that got me into sushi. Not because I loved the place, but it made me want to find better sushi places. Although my palette was inexperienced, at the time, for sushi, I could tell that their fish was not that fresh. The fish had no taste. I will tell you that I prefer this place over Super China Buffet, but that doesn't say much. Or does it? They do have a lot of rolls and they are so bright and beautiful, but why do they all stay the same? Could it be that they over-saturate the rolls to cover up the not-so-fresh fish? How many rolls exactly have the same sauces on them? I guess the rolls all taste the same, but with variances in texture. The taste and texture of the fish exude not-so-fresh fish. Anyways, why am I SPAMming not-so-fresh? It is because I would rather have myself a musubi than this place, it just taste, well, fresher. And damn it I will eat as many baked mussels I want and you shouldn't complain? It is all-you-can-eat right? Look, I'm Filipino, we will hoard your damn food inventory if we want to. If you don't want us to, don't offer all-you-can-eat and complain or limit how many mussels we eat. And no, I'm not a food snob on his quest to find the most expensive food. I'm a foodie, I love good food cheap or not. This place is the polar opposite of Umi Sake House with their prices, but both fall for the same demise, over-saturation of sauces.

Went there again in January. Food was as good as ever. If you like sushi this place is definately top of the list.

I understand the gripes about service being slow if your not a regular because I do feel bad for them watching me eat. Ok so let's see always get the all you can eat unless you eat only a roll. Try spicy upside down shrimp, the skyscraper, Viagra, plus the peppered tuna is so good. Sit at the bar and just speak up and don't be shy

this place is pretty good! the people are nice, the foods tasty and it's open on sundays unlike most sushi joints! kind of weird how it's ran by mexicans, which is not a bad thing. you just would assume they'd be asian decent :P

as far as american sushi goes this place does well. The staff is friendly, the sushi is firm and is well priced. I have done the all you can eat and walked out very content and very full..way too full. i found that their unique rolls compliment the PNW passion for sushi, which is nice as every region should bring its own flair into its cuisine. Sushi is not for the faint of heart, if you arent a fan of seafood or sticky rice or imitation crab then its not for you. I would give sushi ring a try if you are new to sushi or sashimi and dont know where to start. Give them a go

Had the sushi buffet at the sushi bar. Sushi rolls made on the spot as you order! Very good and fresh! Well worth the $26 for dinner! (I believe lunch is about $18?) Also comes with calamary and mussles. You must try the Mountain Roll and Dragon Roll! Friendly service staff and a delicious experience! I'll def. want to come back here again!

I was grouchy by the time i drove all the way up to Silverlake from downtown Seattle, but all the crazy traffic and gas exhaust was worth it. My friend Milo dared me to eat more sushi than him, and I did. In fact, Elvis (the cheeky, elderly sushi chef) INSISTED upon it. He wouldn't let me finish something without getting another order out of me! It was seriously a relief that he let me fufill my never-ending sushi fantasy without a single glance of disgust or eyeroll. I was free to pig out. And the quality was great, so maybe I showed up on a good day when everything was super fresh. Hamachi usually gets a "hmmmm" out of me, but Elvis got more than that with the yellowtail he served my friend and me. They were out of whitefish, albacore, and the big scallops, which put just a tiny damper on my fantasy coming true, but you know what erased all the disappointment? UPSIDE-DOWN SHRIMP. That's all I'm going to say. In fact, that's one of the reasons Milo promised me I wouldn't regret this place. We ordered 5. Just order some and you'll see. I'm still reminiscing. I can't wait to go back and see Elvis, and the other people who work there. They were all smiling, concerned with our enjoyment, and said "goodbye" like friends would say it. And don't let the occasional business of the establishment put you off...just do what we did: eat slowly and eat a LOT so that most of the customers file out before your done! :D

I and my bf are regulars here. I gotta say this sushi is really good. $28++ for All you can eat made to order sushi dinner. Sometimes you gotta wait for the spot on the bar, but it's worth it.

Sushi ring has good fish, the people who work there are fun. Especially the owner Elvis. I have all your normal fish, like salmon, tuna, yellowtail, etc., but I wish they carried more specialty fish. You really can't beat the all you can eat deal though. They even include appetizers like edamame, potstickers, etc.

I have had much better service here and quality of food. The chef Elvis was not here and neither was the experience. Won't be back.

This place has an all you can eat for 26$ and the sushi is fantastic. This is easily my favorite, and the best sushi place around. Sometimes it can be packed and you may have to wait a couple minutes for your sushi. However, if you sit at the rail you can get it fairly quickly.

Worst customer service and attitude I've ever dealt with- and I'm a restaurant manager!!!! We were searching for a local sushi place when we moved up here, and were delighted (at the TIME) to find a nearby place. We did take-out on two occasions. The first time, when we came in to order, we felt distinctly unwelcome and shoved in a corner while we looked at the menu. Hmmph, we thought, but let's try the food. The food was pretty good. So we decided, OK, let's try 'em again later! Two weeks later, we did another togo order near to closing time. We picked up the order, and took it home. After we began eating, we realized that 1-2 of the rolls we ordered were missing! I tried to call back, but got an answering machine (?), and left a message and my phone number. We never received a response, so thanks for nothing there. Two weeks later, and still without a response, we decided to try 'em again for takeout on a Friday night. My husband called them and spoke with the usual woman who answers the phone, (and NICELY) reminded her of the last order and the missing item AND asked why we hadn't heard back from anyone when we left a message. WELL, that opened up the floodgate of defensivess and accusations- from HER. She said the machine is broken so they don't get messages. "Well, why do you still use it if you don't get the messages people leave you?" Instead of answering that question, she actually begins yelling at him over the phone about how she REMEMBERS that order, and EVERYTHING was in the bag! "Umm, NO, there was a sushi and a roll missing." (at this point, we just want her to back off and acknowledge that the items weren't all there- kind of like her customer service, ahem), but the tirade continues from her end about how EVERYTHING was in the bag, and he is lying, and actually hung up on us. HELLO!?! We're not trying to swindle anyone, and we weren't even looking to get the two rolls replaced for free- we just wanted to make sure we didn't PAY for the rolls we didn't get. But it turned into 3 phone calls, back and forth, in our shock and outrage at being treated this way by a restaurant mgr/owner. We called back just to ask how she could possibly treat customers this way, and why can't you just accept that the order had missing stuff? Another yelling remark and a hang-up. WOW. Are you kidding me? WHO runs their restaurant this way and succeeds, insulting customers and calling them outright liars, not returning calls, and hanging up on them? He was so furious at being treated that way, he was shaking. So, instead, we found an ad for Peking Duck chinese, who delivers, and they delivered good food. When the wontons were horrible, I called to say that everything was delicious BUT the wontons, and the gentlemen who I spoke with was very polite and apologetic, and took my number so we could get something different the next time. THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT RIGHT, SUSHI RING!!!!! We are so glad we found Sushi O Sushi just down the way from Fred Meyer. We have been there *3* times in the week since we found it, and every time we come back home, we have to resist the urge to stop at sushi ring and slap the receipt against the window to show the owner how much money we spent on sushi with her competitor, and it will NEVER be spent on her terrible business again. Ever.

I just returned from Sushi Ring and MAN am i stuffed! I took the kids there hoping to save a bit from our usual $45 at Sushi Zen. The chef (possibly the owner?) was very kind and accommodating, and suggested i just order the all-you-can-eat for myself and a la carte rolls for the kids, rather than having to pay the full price for each of us ($23.95 adults, $15.95 kids). This appealed to me since my youngest is 3 and i didn't want to spend $15.95 on her. As it turned out, she ended up eating more than i did, stuffing salmon into her mouth like a hungry bear. There was a HUGE party dining there at the time we arrived, so the one server was overwhelmed and unable to manage serving the entire place in a timely fashion. But everyone was trying as hard as they could to keep the customers happy. They seemed extremely understaffed, but as a new restaurant i can understand the financial decision to keep it that way as long as possible. We waited quite a while for her to take our order, in fact, i had to get up and ask the sushi chef for the order form because the kids were starving and couldn't wait. We also waited a long time to get our check. I think that on any other night this would not have been the case. This place does not offer a buffet of prepared Sushi rolls and nigiri. Instead, everything is made to order. You fill out the sheet and they get to work making it. You get a little bit at a time, then wait a bit, and then you get more. The quality is much better than the buffets i've been to. My children were a bit impatient and when each little tray arrived, they gulped it down and immediately asked for more. So keep this in mind if you bring kids who love sushi. I had to just let them grab everything and eat it while i starved until the next round arrived. This was actually a good thing. I did eventually manage to stuff myself with more sushi than i should have. It would have been worse, and potentially more wasteful, had i done what i do at Todai and filled my plate with everything all at once. Our total with tip came to $50--more than i was intending on spending, but my kids ended up eating way more than i would have paid for at a regular sushi place. Overall it's a great value for the money if you're hungry. Lunch is $18.95. I will go back by myself next time and sample some of the secret things that aren't on the menu.

This sushi bar is very small, with a main sushi bar and just a few other tables. The all you can eat is very pricy, upwards $30-and that's lunch! The main sushi chef (elvis) is very nice and accomodating, but his two mexican waitresses are just plain rude and very unfriendly. The service was awful...and if I pay $30+ for lunch, I expect decent service! The all you can eat comes with ice cream, so when we asked for seconds....she gave us attitude, and said we are only allowed one serving! Excuse me....isn't this all you can eat!! Hello, the ice cream is the cheapest thing we ate, practically on par with miso! Sorry, I'm on a tangent! The sushi is very good, some say it's fresh, eh I'm not sure...the freshest sushi I've tasted is in Vancouver! Anyway, get the upside down shrimp, salmon skin roll, and the silver lake!! I would have given 3 stars but the service is very poor. Go here if you don't care about service, or if ur hella hungry for some pricy and decent sushi, and be sure to sit at the bar! I was with an 8-table top. But for me not sure I'll be back. My choice for sushi is wasabi bistro or umi sake

Good sushi, and very friendly staff, but expensive. The rolls (or half-rolls, if you like variety) are quite good, and you can order all-you-can-eat (for $$$) and try them all.

Nope. Nope. Sorry, No... Bad atmosphere. Bad service. Bad prices. The rolls are pretty good, ill admit, that is when the waitress can remember to bring them. Forgot about 4 of them because they were on the back of the order form. Geez Louise Lady. Brought a whole bunch of rolls in the beginning, then nothing else for 20 minutes, so a few people in our party were starving. Asked the waitress where they were, she seemed put out by the request. WHATEVER! And these weren't even the ones she forgot about. Ive been here twice and NOPE, i just don't like it.

This is a very small sushi place. If you have a large group..not recommended. We were a group of 5...had the tables next to the bathroom. If you're here as a couple...sit at the sushi bar. As for the service...not so much! The sushi wasn't bad it's better than the conveyor belt sushi places.

I adore the Sushi Ring! I have been coming here for almost 8 years and am never disappointed. The upside down roll is my favorite, but you really can't go wrong with any of them. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and willing to make you any variation of sushi you ask for. My husband and I always get all you can eat and feel it is worth every penny!

This is the best sushi place I have ever been to. All the food is very fresh, and the staff is really nice. I love coming in and watching them make the food in front of me. They also have a nice variety of rolls. Get the all you can eat if you are hungry, if not the rolls are pretty large.

My favorite sushi place in the Seattle area in terms of quality and value. I've been satisfying my sushi craving by visiting Sushi Ring at least once a month for the last 4 years. The all you can eat deal for 28.95 is always worth it. There is also a ton of variety and options both sashimi and rolls. The upside down shrimp is amazing and unique, the peppered tuna, albacore and smoked salmon sashimi is wonderful. My favorite rolls are the basil salmon roll, special roll and sex on the beach roll. If you get there when it's not busy service is really fast and you can experiment a little more with different fishes and combinations for rolls. When it's busy service can be a slower and if you don't know what you want or what is going on it is more difficult getting the chef's attention.

Came here with my husband today because he wanted sushi (no seafood for me!) So my first impression... I walked in the door and was greeted by a young lady with a menu. She asked, "just one?" I said no, my husband is parking the car. Now this is generally where the hostess seats you, right? No, she turned around and walked away never to greet us again. Lost a star for that one. So the sushi chef motioned us over to the sushi bar where we sat down. At this point, the same young lady (hostess?) asked what we were having, I said I wasn't having sushi so she handed me a menu, then dialed her cell phone and walked over to the other side of the restaurant and talked on the phone. She never did return to take my order. I got tired of waiting because *nobody* was taking my order and my husband finally asked the sushi chef if she could take it, which she did. Lost another star. During this time, someone yelled over that they needed the girl on the phone but she totally ignored them and just kept talking. I'm not familiar with sushi joints but I'm thinking the sushi chef should be making sushi, not having to hostess, waitress, etc. Other than that it was good. My husband enjoyed his sushi. I had gyoza and vegetable tempura, both were good though I wasn't crazy about the tempura green beans. I do have to add that if you want to drink water, order bottled water (if they have it) or bring your own. The tap water tasted weird. The sushi chef was very nice and if it weren't for her we probably would have walked out. We'll probably return because of the all you can eat sushi. Hopefully the hostess person will be gone by then and they'll have someone attentive in her place!

I have been coming to this joint since 2006, it is still one of the best sushi I had up north. Hitomi has always been my chef of choice, she is my sushi-Okaasan. They don't serve some of the more expensive sushi items like Toro or Uni, but everything else they have on the menu has been fresh and delicious! Not to mention they also have one of the best Calamari out there! I don't think I have ever been disappointed here, not even once! The crew has always been nice to me and my guests. I have recommended this place to all of my friends and they have all had awesome experience. If I am craving for sushi, this is my to-go place!

If I could provide no star I would! We were trying to find a sushi place open early on sundays and thought we'd give this place a try. There was four of us and 3 of us weren't too hungry so we ordered a la carte and the 4th ordered "all you can eat". Things were going smoothly and food was coming out in a timely manner. Despite the rolls being less than adequately held together the food was decent. We had all ordered waters and noticed the service was quite slow in that aspect as was the removal of completed dishes. As bills were handed out my boyfriend (all you can eat guy) noticed that our bill was greater than the $27 all you can eat plus my one roll and salad. We asked them why and immediately received an overwhelming attitude from the woman in charge....she then started speaking spanish to her chef which I thought to be completely rude...if you're going to have an issue with a customer you don't speak in front of them like that. She reluctantly started to adjust our bill. While she was adjusting it the chef started making snyde remarks about my boyfriend not eating his rice that had fallen off the poorly-made rolls into the soy-sauce. As she handed us our new bill she said next time we need to state we wanted all you can eat (which we had) and that she had to charge us an extra $2 as she had seen me eat 2 (yes, literally two) soy beans off my boyfriend's plate. All I can say is that is the fastest I've ever seen a business lose 4 customers and all of their friends/family in the neighborhood. Do yourself a favor and drive 3 more miles to Sushi Zen...the best customer-service and authentic sushi awaits you! :)

This is my favorite sushi place ever! By far the best sushi in Seattle if you ask me. Everything is always so fresh, tasty and amazing! Definitely try the upside down shrimp, pink Cadillac and the calamari is off the hook!!! All you can eat sushi here is a bit pricy BUT SO worth it. I recommend it to everyone who loves good real sushi.

When it comes to sushi, I have a hard time finding places I enjoy that thoroughly meet my expectations. I do often come on Yelp to read reviews because I don't like just stopping in somewhere and chancing it. I honestly wish I lived closer to Sushi Ring because I would eat here a couple days a week.... Ok, I know that may seem a bit on the exaggeration side of eating out, but their food is that good. Their Silver Lake roll is one of the best on the menu, always a must when I eat there. And their deep fried Arigato Roll has so many wonderful flavors in it, but be careful, it's super hot temperature wise when you get it. :-) Their prices are a little higher than some places, but it's hard to justify spending less for sushi that doesn't taste nearly as good as Sushi Rings!

  • Dave O.

If it weren't for the fresh fish, this place wouldn't even get one star. I am by no means a sushi snob - I eat grocery store and conveyor belt sushi. The sushi rolls weren't terrible - a little loosely rolled, making them messy to eat, but that wasn't the problem. The "tempura" fried rolls were ok (lower case), mainly because the breading was far too heavy to be considered "tempura" and they were overcooked but that wasn't the problem. "So what was the problem?" you may be asking. The sushi "chef" GLARED at me when I inquired about my son and I getting drinks when they brought out our first roll! My wife's beverage order was taken as soon as we sat down but my son and I sat and waited thinking the waitress just got distracted and would be back to complete the order. When I inquired about our beverage order, which would not have been a big deal if it was handled properly, there ensued the most bizarre behavior I have ever witnessed by restaurant staff. They seemed horribly confused about the roll that they had just sat down in front of us and asked if that was our order. "Yes, it was what we ordered but I wanted to order something to drink," I said. At this point, the sushi "chef" began to glare at me as though I had offended him by inquiring about a drink. His wife, Lupe (I know her name is Lupe because the sushi "chef" yelled it quite loudly several times during our visit) began glaring at my wife, who hadn't been any part of this situation other than sharing counter space with our son and me. Confused and not willing to engage in a stare down, I simply inquired, "Is there a problem?" To which Lupe's husband, the sushi "chef" replied, "No, no, there's no problem," as though backing down from an ensuing bar brawl in a spaghetti western. Won't be back. Too many great sushi places in town to revisit this weirdness...

I went in not expecting much while being optimistic. I purposefully ordered only rolls with cooked items. It was just very poor effort in the food and nothing tasted very fresh. The green tea tasted like hot tap water and I was not able to discern any taste of tea leaves. The quality of the food was extremely poor for the amount of money that was paid. Sushi doesn't have to be expensive to be delicious. There are many better options in the area for decent sushi. This place tasted worse than even sushi land but costs substantially more. You have been warned.

My wife and I have been to many sushi places over the years in multiple states and countries. Sushi ring definitely rates among the top. Sushi was fresh, the service was very good. They messed up one order but we didn't have to pay for their mess up which was awesome. They even offered a military discount which is unheard of from sushi places. Will we go there again. Defintitely. Try the upside down shrimp. The scallops on it melt in your mouth. Enjoy

Great local sushi place that's very cheersesque. They know their regulars! Their veggie tempura roll is amazing and nothing is better than a hot, tasty agedashi tofu on a cold Seattle day. The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly and its within walking distance of our house which is a total bonus! Side note: Closed on Mondays

Not as good as it used to be. Still decent. All you can eat still a good deal. But the quality has decreased significantly just in the past year. Too much rice, not enough fish. Service is just okay.

Love me tender, Love me sweet, Never let me go. You have made my life complete.. Elvis, oh Elvis. Not only do you make the ambiance festive, you create flavorful and interesting sushi. You are a saucy man with a big personality. I swear I've seen you sneak sake shots while making my upside down shrimp and salmon hand rolls. What do you put in your pesto? Magic? You are a fine pusher of the all-you-can-eat menu, you play us like a fiddle. ..and we love you so.

Sushi Ring is in a bit of an odd location, and when you drive into the parking lot you will scratch your head a bit as to whether you should go in. GO IN! The sushi is fantastically fresh and they have a wide variety of outstanding options. I've been there twice, and the food has been so good that it made me an even more adventurous sushi eater! Very high quality and the owners and staff are super nice folks.

Have to admit I really this place. Whether sitting at the little bar or getting take out they make great sushi here. My husband and I's favorites are the Whidbey roll, Nancy roll, and the Crunchy California- although everything we have had there is delicious.

  • Bran S.

There's certainly more to this place than one might expect. The service was passable enough for lunchtime. The food was so fresh, and really quite excellent - hands down, the best sushi place I've been to so far in Seattle's surrounding areas.

MAKE SURE YOU PAY WITH CASH. I really love their made to order all you can eat sushi. They have some great options for all sushi eaters; a lot of really good raw options as well as a lot of really good cooked options. The price is steep; it is usually about $30 per person for dinner. But if you're going to eat more than two rolls, it's worth it, even if you only have 3. Rolls range from $6 (for your simple cucumber rolls) to $12 for the fancier ones. With the all you can eat you get miso soup, edamame, calamari, and salad. I say you should pay with cash because one time I paid with my card, and made it very clear on the receipt that I was paying my tip with cash. When the charge showed up on my account, it had an additional $9 added after we left. I left a very generous cash tip, so they should not have felt the need to add any additional money. I had the bank revoke the charge. Wish that the cranky mexicans didn't work there. The daughter is sort of terse, and so is the lady behind the counter. I don't think I've been here while Elvis is there. I also have never sat anywhere other than the bar, and service from the sushi chefs can be fast to very slow, depending on how many people are there eating. 3 stars for great food and choices, minus one star for the bad charge and another for the cranky employees. (And price...)

I used to go to sushi ring at least twice a week when I lived in Everett. I still have dreams about the ELvis Hand Rolls! The all you can eat sushi is a great gimic but the sushi truly speaks for itself. If you havent been here I highly recommend snagging a seat at the counter and letting Elvis make you some of the best sushi you'll ever have this side of the Pacific.

D'lish,fresh,plenty,d'lish,reasonable,variety...did I say d'lish? Would I expect this from a "sushi place in Everett" oh H#ll no! Yes, food snob ,sorry, I'm thinking strip mall ,please, yuck, food poisioning my first visit...I was unsure, but wait, the place is PACKED with men at lunch???? Crew is pleasant and customers seem to want to share in the "do you believe this hole in the wall goodness??" Hmm, ahh ok...these gents knew what I was about to discover... and return visits: me twice, daughter 3 times...5 out 5 happy visits...winner winner sushi dinner!!!!!

This is the first place I was ever taken to do Sushi "properly" and I've been hooked since. Other places may have better quality of fish, but the combo of Elvis's personality and skill more than make up for it. Go at non-peak times and sit at the bar to get the attention that makes doing sushi a great expereince.

Okay this is going to be hard to put into a review! I have been going to sushi ring for about 10 years and i will rarely go anywhere else. The atomosphere has changed since Elvis has left and the place truly does miss him. His replacement is boring and slow. Nonetheless, Hitomi and Mark (I call him Voltron, and you should too :P) will serve you right. The sushi quality has not changed and you will get your fill. Reccomendations: - Absolutely for no reason should you sit at a table. The only waitress is the daughter of the owner and she is not worth the time. Wait the extra time for the bar. - Sit in front of Mark or Hitomi, avoid the slow expressionless guy if you can but its not the end of the world if you get him - Get the all you can eat, you'll probably spend that much anyway... - Must gets: Calamari, Upsidedown Shrimp, SexonTheBeach roll and SALMON. The salmon literally melts in your mouth... In the end if you sit at the bar in front of Hitomi/Mark you will enjoy yourself and get more than your fill of delicious sushi. p.s. If you do address Mark as voltron, try ordering the Voltron roll and see if he makes it for you.

This was my first time trying this place and I have to say it was a great experience. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I had the all you can eat special and it probably saved me $30 in ala carte ordering. The fish is very fresh and is exactly what you would expect at any good sushi restaurant. The all you can eat comes with a selection of appetizers to choose from including a dessert which I didn't have after being so full of sushi. I'll definitely be back and you should try it too!

The All You Can Eat Dinner is a great deal for under $30.00. My rating would be 5 Stars if it were for the sushi and value alone. Unfortunately, the service can be a little surly and lacking in communication as to where to sit and how to order more if you are not sitting at the counter. To make the experience 5 Stars: Sit at the counter and ask the sushi chefs to surprise you with something you may not have had before. From my experiences it has always turned out great and I would order it the next time. Try the quail egg shot! The sushi quality is high and I crave going back time and time again.

Love it! They have an all you can eat special that really is worth it. You can order whatever you want for a set price. I love the Whedby Roll, YUM! Friendly staff. I plan on coming back soon.

Let me rebuke some negative responses that I see have been made. First off, I have NEVER had old fish as Sushi Ring. It has always been top notch and I doubt Elvis would ever put up with stinky fish. Secondly, for the person that got slow/lousy service sitting out in the 'cheap seats', yeah they suck. We tried that once before and learned that if there aren't seats at the bar, you camp out until they are available! The only reason I would every tell you to stay away from Sushi Ring, is so there is room for me at the bar on Fridays!

NOT NICE AT ALL!!! I recently received a VERY rude and harrassing email from someone who obviously took it personal from MY review and experience here. This person "Brad D," obviously has a vested interest in this establishment & felt that i personally attacked him, based on MY comments. First off, i would like to say that this is MY opinion. I do not have the voice of the people. I am writing a review based on MY experience and nothing more. If you are so against MY review, than write a positive one to counter-act mine. Don't be ignorant and send an email insulting me, it just makes you look stupid. Majority of my reviews are usually 4-star, but when I personally have a bad experience, i have every right to write about it. Owners and those who has a personal interest should take my review as constructive criticism and use it to improve their service/food, not take it as a personal offense & use it as a mean to insult/harrass those who do not have the same views. After receiving this rude email, my opinion of this place has definitely lowered my rating. I will let others know about this offensive email and it is a definite that i will never come back. Seriously, people who make an account just to bash on others really are pathetic & insecure. Get a life! Double standards w/your sushi My boyfriend took me to this place because he heard so much about it from his bestfriend, who insist that this place makes the best sushi. We sat at the bar to get closer to the sushi chef and to see how he preps it and rather than being excited about the whole experience I came out not very pleased. Their menu is kinda confusing and in my opinion, if you don't order the "all you can eat," than you're gonna pay more so its a better deal to pay for the "all you can eat sushi, which i believe is $23.95, and its only for an hour! Its hard to eat a lot of sushi within one hour because the rice gets you full. I would prefer to not eat so much rice, because sometimes they can put too much in, but if you don't eat all your sushi they charge you extra for it so the "all you can eat sushi," has a clause in it. Becareful & make sure you eat all your sushi or you'll be paying more! The quantity of rice to seafood is not evenly proportion. We tried to order their hamachi collar, but they ran out among other things there. The waitress for some reason kept messing up on our order. I didn't think the service was very impressive and they treat their regulars 100x better than their new customers. Its as if you don't exist if the regulars come in because AFTER they finish w/THEIR order than the sushi chef will work on yours. I find it ridiculous how there's two standards of service & was not pleased to see favoritism. You can order the exact same order as the regulars, but for some reason your rolls won't have the extra "love & care" like the regulars because theirs will have all the frills & etc, while yours is this plain looking roll. I was upset that i came there prior to any regulars and I had to wait every time for their order to be made before mine. Plus, i did not like the fact that because i wasn't a regular I didn't get the same treatment. Now, i'm not jealous, but if you're paying the same price as everyone you deserve the same treatment/service. The sushi is good, but NOT the best i've had. The service can improve and the one hour limit on the All You Can Eat Sushi should be removed. Most people won't continue to eat if they're already full, so the owner shouldn't worry that we'll eat you out of your home. Its just nice to have time to talk/chat w/friends and not worry that you passed your one hour limit.

If I had reviewed this place after the first time I ate there, I might have given them 4 or 5 Stars.. But let's talk about my latest experience.. A buddy and I decided we were in the mood for all-you-can-eat Sushi so I suggested coming here since it'd been a few months since my last visit. Their service was horrible. The lone female server was rude and short when speaking to us. The sushi chefs took extremely long to make our rolls and would stand idle while we were still waiting for our orders to be made.. When brought up with the server.. she commented that we should finish our food on our plate before they start making any more sushi that we ordered.. WTH! Is this not all-you-can-eat?! She also suggested that we share our food instead of ordering separate rolls and eating them individually.. It was a totally unpleasant experience.. Also, the "white/mexican" sushi chef was extremely slow and unresponsive when trying to get his attention, pretending he couldn't hear us. I caught him giving us dirty looks as we ate as well. What a D-Bag... The food was all right, but the horrible customer service totally killed the evening.

Sushi rolls are awesome but the Mexican owner kills the mood. My friend was taking pictures of the rolls that we order and the owner was looking at her like she was a terrorist (not exaggerating)... I've noticed that she would add some change to our bill so the 3rd time there, i started to write down the prices, she came over and asked for the menu, I told her that I wanted to hold on to the menu because I wanted to order more, she said no, I'll give you the other menu when your ready to order more... I had ordered 2 Elvis rolls on the erasable menu, we had received all the rolls that we had ordered and I has asked the owner about the Elvis roll.. she came over with the menu and had erased the rolls from the menu trying to say that I didn't order it..(that was the first thing that I had marked on the menu and I could even see the red smudge from where she tried erasing it).. As an owner, she has a lot of issues and should be treating her clients/ customers with better respect!! love the rolls but Tokyo House on Everett Mall Way has way better customer service and is just as good!

I've been avoiding going to Sushi Ring, since my friend kept telling me that it was an all-you-can-eat-sushi place.. All you can eat sushi? Can't be good. I finally gave in when Suz said she wanted to take me there for my birthday. So we went. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't turn out to be one of those super buffet places that had sushi chefs pre-making them on one counter row. The place almost looks like it used to be a small Subway.. but most of the seats are counter side.. I don't even know why you would sit on the regular tables, as they're pretty much out of sight. (How would you order from there?) We waited a few mins to sit at the bar. I was glad to see that the sushi was prepared as you order them, and they can do some specific requests if you try to be a little experimental with the mix in your sushi. We got pretty good service, and they answered all our questions. For all you can eat at about $30 a person, you were asked to finish all of your orders, or they will charge you for leftovers.. which is, thankfully, easy enough to gauge if you order only a very few at a time. It was interesting to see all of the Elvis paraphernalia (and Elvis-themed sushi names).. It took me just a little while to see the connection. lol. PS. Yes I did lurve my sushi, and I would willingly go back there once my money tree is in full bloom. I definitely want to take the hubby there sometime.

The sushi was good, the people making it were friendly and did a very good job. It wasn't out of the ordinary special, and I would have given this place a 3 or 4 had it not been for the complete #$%^@ behind the counter. Seriously, the fat lady who works in here is MEAN. She told me I wasn't allowed to use my cell phone in the restaurant. She was afraid I was taking pictures of the food so I could steal ideas to how they were making their sushi. It was absolutely ridiculous. She flipped out on me. First of all, the sushi isn't so amazing that I think anyone would actually want to take pictures of it for the purpose of copying their style; as I mentioned, it's nothing out of the ordinary, just run of the mill sushi. Second of all, I ordered tea and it never came. I even reminded her after about ten minutes and she still just never brought it. I tipped well for the people actually making the sushi, but seriously didn't want to tip at all due to the bad attitude of the fat, ill-mannered woman working there.

My friend who lives in Mill Creek mentioned this place to me (being a huge sushi fan) but I never made the effort to go out there and check it out, but now I am glad I finally did. Took it upon ourselves to divulge into the all-you-can-eat which gives you the option to choose just about everything on the menu. Tried some new ones I've never tasted (salmon basil roll?! amazing!) and definitely got my money's worth and then some. I expected a huge business but its a tiny restaurant with space for about 50 or so people at once. The menu is easy to understand with prices displayed and the chefs are quick and nice, although we did go on a not-so-busy day and sat right at the bar. If you can shell out $30+ and have the appetite for loads of sushi and the usual japanese sides, then definitely stop in.

Im going to judge from the full experience... First thing's first... the food... The food is great! I always get the all you can eat option and its not like a buffet where you only have a hand full of rolls and fish... You basically order what you want from a full menu as you go :] For the price ... it is definitely worth it. Now for the service... a WHOLE different story. The experience I have had with the service there is FAR from pleasant. One of the waitresses there had a really bad attitude and just got the impression that she hated working there and dealing with the customers. The sushi chef named Elvis is awesome though... i love his name hahaha... So sit at the bar if you can. If it wasn't for the bad service and small dining space, I would give it 5 stars. The only reason I go back is because the food, all you can eat option, and elvis!!!!! hahaha!

Yelp says low price point, but service is horrible. There's a great pizza place nearby

The one person that makes Sushi Ring worth going back to is Elvis. He really is a great guy and always very helpful. Of course, he wants you to get the "all you can eat" so you spend more $$, but you don't have to. Plus, he will let you change your mind and do "all you can eat" if you end up eating more than you expected. Plus he once told my boyfriend "No money, no honey" so you gotta love him for giving great advice! On top of all that, the sushi is good, and that's why you are going there in the first place. Generous portions, fresh fish, and good calamari. Make sure to order the Pesto Salmon roll...love it!
