Janbo Café Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I took my mom with me to try out this place for the first time. Pho was good. So was the fresh spring rolls which were large. I docked off one star because they use very thick chopsticks for us to eat thin noodles. I wish they had wooden chopsticks. Since we dined in the waitress asked us what kind of cream puff we wanted. My mom and I ordered the chocolate one which was really really good.

I have been going to Janbo for at least 3 years and this place has become a reliable source of excellent Pho. When I moved out of LA, I left my favorite Pho place behind and I was naturally upset and sad. However, when I discovered Janbo cafe right by my work place, I naturally had to try it. I was not disappointed. I have not been disappointed with either portion size or taste. The staff has always been very nice as well. This place can get a bit busy at times so I would highly recommend to call in your order so that you can save time and get to your food faster. I have tried other Pho houses around the area and I have not found a place that keeps bringing me back for more.

This place has the best Vietnamese food outside of Seattle. Their sandwiches can be a meal by themselves for 3.75$!!! The best selection of Pho around! If you haven't eaten here you should give it a try. The only reason not all 5 stars is they are so popular and get so busy they don't have a big enough space to accommodate. Love this place come as often as I can!

Food was delicious, service was kinda lacking. Price was higher than menu shown. Portions large

Best Pho I've had in years. The staff is very friendly and I was so pleased that they had served me hot oolong from the moment I sat down.

First of all, a big thank you to previous Yelpers who had me select this as today's lunch destination - great selection of Chinese and Vietnamese favorites at Janbo Café. The Shoreline trio met up with family members driving down from Stanwood. Nice find on Evergreen Way (diagonal from Value Village) in Everett. The entire time we were there, all tables were filled and there was constant traffic for takeout and catering orders. The two wait staff covered the dining room with friendly efficiency. I also greatly appreciated the generous carafes of hot tea provided along with ice water. Note: prices listed were from the online menu. Two family members had the huge Combo Bowls ($8.25 each) served with grilled meat, fresh veggies, fried egg rolls, atop vermicelli noodles, and topped with sliced scallions, cilantro, and roasted peanuts. Another had the Orange Chicken Combo ($7.95, plus $1.50 upgrade to combo with added cup of soup (egg flower or hot and sour), veggie egg roll, and steamed rice. Another ended up finishing off the hot and sour soup and enjoyed the Pork Chow Mein with thin egg noodles and veggies ($8.25) I had the Pork Chop Rice Plate ($8.25) where the pair of thin cut, lemongrass marinated pork chops are grilled and placed atop steamed rice garnished with scallions. A generous side of lettuce, pickled carrots, daikon, and sliced cucumbers is also provided. I used up all of the chili infused sweet tart accompanying sauce. It was delicious that kiddo ended up eating a decent portion of the pork chops. It was comparable to my favorite version at Local Pho in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood. And...what a big surprise to be given a huge complimentary cream puff filled with either vanilla or chocolate custard filling to end our meal. The cream puff (pate a choux) was crisp, light and not soggy - excellent! Compared to the dinky ones at Than Brothers Seattle locations, these were ginormous! Excellent and worthwhile find in Everett. Again, thanks to previous Yelpers and their helpful posts!

My new favorite place! The seating area was packed when we arrived, but the wait staff was great. My husband and I shared Pho (very flavorful), spring rolls (fresh! my only complaint: they didn't devein the shrimp) and a Vietnamese sandwich (chicken). All were wonderful...especially the sandwich; which is a long time fav of my husbands and it's been difficult finding a place that does them to perfection. Well...we found it! Definitely give them a try. :)

What a disappointment this place turned out to be. The service was very good, the restaurant was clean, the prices were reasonable and the menu was exactly what I like. The food looked delicious....and then we tasted it. I ordered a bowl of Pho Thai and the fried almond chicken. The meat in the Pho was so overcooked it was a cross between powder and jerky. The chicken was so overcooked, it almost took out a cap I have on one of my teeth. It all tasted disgusting. My daughter didn't dislike hers as much as I disliked mine but she definitely felt that it wasn't up to snuff. I took home what I had left and ended up throwing it away. If you know me, that tells you everything you need to know about how gross it was right there

We were very fortunate that these kind workers stayed past closing time as we had a late game and called in our order based on their online menu. Our pho noodle soups and spring rolls were delicious. The soup hit the spot and our tummies were happy. And they sent us off with their cream puffs - nice!

Ok it had bad service the first time I went but after being back around 3 more times the service has been much better and the food still huge portions for the price. The food is a little on the oily side but it is still very tasty.

I have been a loyal customer of Janbo before the Janbo Cafe came to be. The owner has been in my family's life since before I can remember. When I heard she opened up the Cafe, I was elated! This place is magical. I guess the building and decor could stand an upgrade, but really, I almost consider it charming. It's like, the food is so good, you find it more comfortable that way. The pho is "pho"nomenal. Heh. Heheh! I have tried so many things on this menu it could take forever to list, but everything was perfect. And the quality is consistent everytime! The nicest staff you could hope for! It's like, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop, but it won't. This place is perfect. Great place for a first date, great place for solo binging, and family dining too. Keep it up Janbo Cafe, you are Chinese/Vietnamese perfection!

Music selection is kinda rad. Love the food. Everyone around Snohomish in the car scene knows Janbo for the Pho. They also have awesome array of Asian food to select from.

I only had a cup of Wonton Soup and it was ok. There was one Wonton in it so I was a little sad about that so I paid $2 for broth basically. Bf got the pho and he said it wasn't the best but would still go here again. search for the best Pho continues.

Like a previous reviewer, this place is no-nonsense when it comes to ordering. Short and to the point which I appreciate. I showed up soon after phoning in and I walked up to the counter, said hello and was immediately helped. Got my food a few minutes later, and it was still nice and hot by the time I got home. The FOOD itself was amazing! I'm not really impressed by large portions in and of themselves, but this was a big portion for a large pho, with lots of options in a sort of make-your-own setup. Also ordered a pork sandwich: delicious. Will be back soon!

Yessssssss! I love this restaurant! I was pleasantly surprised by a huge creampuff afterwards. And they are so nice! I always order the spring rolls alone because they are so big and fill you up and then I buy my bf a beef soup. I have other restaurants that I like but this one somehow overthrows all of the others and calls out to my taste buds. Big servings for the price and perfect service!

Always the sweetest servers & delicious pho!! Their ribs, sweet n sour soup, fried rice...heck I haven't found anything I don't like here! I love their shrimp salad when I'm in the mood for something different and their lime/lemon? juice is refreshing!

I've been going to Janbo for several years now and it remains one of my favorite spots in town. The fresh spring rolls are excellent and so are the fried Vietnamese egg rolls. The tapioca smoothies and lemonades are made from fresh fruit and are always a delight... the Combo Bowl is massive, the wonton soup wonderful, and the meal comes with complimentary cream puffs at the end - we love the vanilla. I am so pleased to have witnessed Janbo Cafe grow over the years, and I imagine it will continue to do so as more and more people realize what a great little place it is.

We came here about a week ago and was very disappointed in the service. It wasn't even a busy night. There was maybe 2 other couples that was already sitting and eating. Our food took way too long. We both had beef stew. When we were done we waited almost as long as the food took to come out for the waitress to come get the bill going but decided to wave her down. Overall, food was 3 and a half star. service was horrible. Half star...

Great soups, plenty of selection in the menu make this my favorite Pho/Asian cuisine place in this area. Their Bahn mi subs are better than most found north of Seattle. I love how they have Szechuan, Cantonese, Thai, and Vietnamese selections. For a tiny place they have loads of different plates for those who hunger for variety. Unbeatable prices, too.

I love this place!! Everything I've had so far is the good quality and very tasty and satisfying. My entire family loves their pork sandwiches. Best sandwich for the price anywhere, hands down.

We are visiting from San Diego and decided to grab something warm to eat so we came to Janbo! The food was great (spicy peppered tofu, vegetarian pho, house special pho-both larges)! The portion sizes were huge, which was unexpected but a good surprise. The place itself may not seem like the best place due to the ambience, but the staff and food make it worth your time! Definitely check it out :)

  • Paul D.

The food is always great. Service is great. Always clean. I always get some fresh spring rolls, the Original Combo Bowl and an almond bubble tea. I used to live in Everett and now on Camano Island, but sometimes just have to go to Everett just for this place. And for the record, if you say that everything is great, but the food is a little on the oily side...don't be such an American! they're doing it right. You know people are struggling to complain when they say things like, "I really wish the chopsticks weren't so big."

I've enjoyed pho at Janbo before, but hadn't been in a while. I was disappointed in my chicken pho (Pho Ga). The broth was flavorless. I asked my Dad how his pho was, and he said his had less flavor then he's used to as well. I made mine a bit better with jalapeno, plum sauce, etc... but my favorite part of pho is the taste of the broth before you season it. Next time I go, I'll try a Chinese soup or maybe the fried pho plate. I do enjoy the huge free cream puffs they give at the end. I forgot about mine and just ate it after several days in the fridge; it was still quite good! My other caveat was that when I ordered a Vietnamese drip coffee, the menu didn't mention they put milk in. I'm lactose intolerant unless I take a lactase enzyme supplement. They should note on the menu that the coffee comes with milk added.

I'm a vegetarian and was extremely stoked to find Janbo Cafe. Living on Whidbey island this is the closest place to get delicious pho. I come here almost every time I cross the ferry. Prices are very reasonable. A small bowl of vegetarian pho (with vegetable broth) is under $6. The tofu is very crispy and they don't skimp on the vegetables like other pho places. I also sometimes get the spring rolls with tofu. They also have a wide selection of other Vietnamese and Chinese dishes.

We love this place! The service is great. Pho is great! Tea is great! I love everything about Janbo. Don't forget to get a cream puff!! Seriously, this is one of the best spots in Everett! And...prices are suuuuper reasonable. Nom nom nom!

This place is amazing! We had the chilli chicken, shanghai chicken and chicken curry...everything was amazing! Specially the chilli chicken! They even gave us free cream puffs! Very nice place to come after a rafting trip to marblemount !

It is not every day that I can leave a restaurant feeling completely fulfilled and elated having spent more money but I left the Janbo Café pleasantly surprised and all too excited for my eventual return. While on the outside the loveable Janbo might not look like much it is but a clever disguise to hide the Shangri-La within. Inside what looks to have been old gas station turned Heaven on Earths doors are a wealth of delicious and authentic Vietnamese and Chinese dishes and best of all no French Fries anywhere to be seen because the only thing I want to have nuzzling up to my Singing Chicken is a bowl of fried or steamed rice. The service was extremely respectful, nice and punctual throughout the entire course of the meal and the food arrived in a timely manner. I could not begin to describe the quality of the food in its entirety without testing the amount of space that yelp provides for these reviews but to cover the basics: presentation was art museum quality, taste was incredible because all the ingredients had purpose and the flavors harmonized together to create a truly fantastic experience. On the monetary side of things the price for the portions is more than fair and it is almost a guarantee that you will never leave wanting. Plus to cap off every meal you are presented with their fluffy cakes which I found incredibly generous of them to do because not only did the gesture clear my pallet but also made the Janbo endearing in its ability to give just as much as it receives to all who pass through the doors. Overall definitely worth dropping in unless a little time in heaven just is not your thing. A friend of mine also wanted me to note that their Bubble Tea was exceptional.

Addicted to their Banh mi, cream puffs, and salt & pepper tofu. When heading south I also stop by this place for bubble drinks. Love this place :)

I love eating here. The service is always so nice, a little slow when they are busy, but I have never minded that. My favorites: fiery chili chicken, don't let all those chilies fool you. It is not very hot, it is simply delicious, and ask for a small side of sweet and sour sauce to dip the chicken in. Mmmm. My other favorite is the crispy pho, the sauce is so good! Their pho soups are very rich in flavor.

I've been eating at Jambo Cafe for more than ten years now, I have tried almost every dish on the menu and I have never been wrong. Their food has that great home made taste, healthy, fair pricing, good service. My ultra favorite dish is Crispy Pho Chicken, which is a mix of chicken (of course) and vegetables on a bed of fried rice bread.....nope, it's not a soup. It also comes on a beef and pork versions, but I think chicken is the tastier of the three. I also love their Fresh rolls.I have taken several friends there and they have become addicted to this food too. The best Vietnamese food I've ever had hands down.

Love this place! This is my second time coming here and the service is outstanding. The staff is friendly and attentive. And the Pho is delicious! I had the Rib Eye Pho and I will definitely be coming back again. The cream puffs are complimentary and also delicious! The facility is clean and there is enough seating for a group of people! If you love Pho, you will love this place! If you don't love Pho, there are plenty of other options. My husband is not a fan of Pho and I am obsessed with it, so it's a perfect place for us. He loves the options he has here :)

Looks are deceptive. This smallish restaurant, located along gritty Evergreen Way, about a mile north of the Boeing Freeway, aka Hwy. 526, is easily overlooked amongst the plethora of ticky-tacky advertising signs. The locale is reminiscent of a former KFC, with a dense dining area that could hold 40 diners. A giant seated Buddha statue greets you upon entering and the menu is plastered on the wall separating the kitchen area from the diners. Small as it is, the menu is packed with the cuisines of China and Vietnam. There are about a hundred items to peruse over and the wall also offers pictures of some of the items. I had the... what else?... pho dac biet. The pho comes in three sizes so I got the medium size as I was on a schedule. The bowl arrived quickly and had most of the essentials-- rare beef, cooked beef, and tendons. The soup was only slightly thin but piping hot. Nothing notable other than this was a good bowl of pho. What was notable was the large cream puff sprinkled with confectioner's sugar that arrived, unannounced, to complete the meal. That was a nice touch. During my stay, there was a gal who dropped in to pick up an order of only cream puffs. Think about that. A Chinese-named restaurant that doubles as a decently good Vietnamese soup joint then triples as a mildly decadent bakery. Service was quick and pleasant. There shouldn't be any problem with the free parking (about 15 spots) but getting out to head south after the meal could be, as you have to cross a very busy stretch of highway.

The food here is great but the portions are pretty small when you order take out, which is what I like to do. I would recommend them if eating in though. Love their fried rice.

  • Eloise C.

Meh. The four star rating is misleading in my opinion. My husband ordered vermicelli and found hair in it (gross) and my bun no hue didn't taste quite right. We also ordered the calamari and it was quite bland. The service here is slow too. It took a while to get our drinks and even longer to get our food. Maybe it was an off day? We didn't get any free cream puffs either. But with the impression I got from everything else, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.

The pho gets pretty good in the Puget Sound area, but the pho doesn't get much better than this around here. This place is probably the dawn of a dynasty--looks like a bit of a dump in its current state, but the food and service foretell a bright future, with probably a bigger and better location to come, followed by expansion. It's already been discovered and it can't stay this small forever. What you got right now is a little fast food hut on 99 that's been converted to house a Vietnamese/pan-Indochinese bistro. You park next to the drive-through arrows, you walk in through the gritty aluminum-frame doors that look like they should have height charts marked on them, and you're greeted by a huge smiling buddha statue. The decor is very low-key, probably re-purposed wherever possible. But the smiling, friendly service is right on point, greeting you before you've had a chance to look around the tiny room. The water, tea, and menu are johnny on the spot as soon you're seated, and the place never really seems to slow down after that. I had the house special pho--flank, meatballs, tendon, and brisket. Usually meatballs and tendon are pretty optional for me but the lure of a "house special" proved overwhelming. It doesn't take long before you get a plate of fresh, crisp-looking condiments. There's an extra lime wedge--nice!--and the basil is sharp and pungent (in a good way). And then the tanker of pho trundles out from the kitchen. The teal and rose plate/bowl combo looks like Mervyn's remaindered it in 1986, but it's appealingly wide. The broth is dark but crystal clear, with absolutely crisp aroma devoid of any must or funk whatsoever. The noodles are great, not the least bit clingy or saran-wrap-y, even if you let them sit for a minute while you fuss around with condiments. The meat is perfectly flat and has good color--clearly never frozen. The tendon never gets gelatinous, even without asking for extra jalapenos. It's a perfect bowl of basic meat lover pho. The star of the show is the ridiculously large cream puff. They give you your choice of vanilla or chocolate. They're huge, and they're freshly dusted with powdered sugar, and they're free. Awesome. Be back to this place a ton, even though it's way out of my way. The menu goes on for pages and pages, by the way. This is a real vietnamese restaurant with a full kitchen; not just a pho place.

Singing chicken - loved it! Egg roll - liked it Hot & Sour Soup - I've had better, but not bad :) I like the breading on the chicken, it's not the normal "deep fried chicken" breading. And the sauce was super tasty! LOVE their sandwiches!!!!

I have been going to Janbo for years now, since 2000. Janbo is my favorite Chinese place and best lunch place in the area. You can't beat the lunch menu. You get so much food for so little money. The mandarin fried chicken is my favorite. Hot and sour soup. Get it. It's good for what ales you.

A friend of mine brought me here for the first time. It's a small restaurant. I've been told this place is really good so thought I'd try it out. The service was pretty quick (We came around 3pm) and the staff was very nice and friendly. I ordered the HK Crispy Noodles. It was really good! There are so many choices and I have yet to try all of them. And I laughed when I read some of the comments about the cream puffs they offer after meal. It's quite big and tasty! Definitely coming back!

I came here a while back for some pho. Pho was nasty. All I could smell was dish sauce. Like what do you really put fish sauces or whatever you do in it but didn't smell really like pho to me. Than I found a fly in my broth. Are you kidding me. Only thing was good is their home made cream puffs with powder sugar. Will not return here. Sorry not sorry

Could never go wrong with this place. My husband love their spicy fiery chicken, extra spicy fried rice and spicy chow mein. Sate beef noodle is another favorite one too. Service is always great. And you get a huge cream puff at the end of your meal. Oh..they close on Mondays..

This is not the first time we have been to this restaurant, but today was absolutely the best experience we have had. The food has always been good, but today was amazing. We ordered Spring Rolls, Pork Combination Noodle Bowl, Grilled Chicken, and Shrimp Chow Mein. Everything was great, portions were a value, and everything was fresh and hot. Best part were the cream puffs which must have been made just a few hours before. I don't even like cream puffs but these were slightly crisp on the outside and then softer as you bit into them and the custard/creme filling was perfect. My husband loved the chocolate ones, I may have to drive to Everett just to bring home a few cream puffs.

I have a family of five and this place is so good we actually sing a little jingle when passing by as the children beg to go in. I have explored many items from the menu and each time the experience has met or exceeded my expectations. Janbo, janbo, janbo, janbo.......janboooooooo (I didn't say the jingle was all that sophisticated)

Eat it. Maybe. Skip it. Eat it. We actually give this place 3.5 stars. I had a Pho Ga (medium) and my girlfriend had a medium original Pho (rare round steak) and they were decent. Broth, not as comparable to other places we've tried but their broth was flavorful enough. Bowls were good sizes and prices were decent. They got half a star more from us for 2 reasons: 1.) They had other menu items that made this restaurant experience more enjoyable. From bubble tea to Pad Thai. They also serve hot tea when you sit down. 2.) They give you a bonus CREAM PUFF. And this isn't no ordinary Than Bros. cream puff either (check out our pictures included with this review). A cream puff as big as a child's fist is included with your Pho meal. It might be more pastry than the cream inside, but it doesn't matter - a little added extra with your meal is ALWAYS a plus.... especially if the cream filing is CHOCOLATE!

Since Beijing Gardens has been under new owners I have had a craving for some good chinese and decided to try Janbo Cafe. I am so glad that I did. The food is affordable, delicious, and the service is excellent. They treat you to free cream puffs to finish the meal off and who can say no to free cream puffs?? The hot and sour soup is HOT but good, the egg rolls are ok too. So far, I am hooked on the almond fried chicken, but the singing chicken was good too. I do not care for the mongolian beef as in my opinion there were too many onions, but it was still good too. Try it, you will not regret it. OH.........The pork bahn mi is amazing!

We come here a few times a month and always leave with a happy belly! Spring rolls are perfect! Pho is good and at a great price you can't go wrong. Two orders of pho and spring rolls for less than 20 dollars!? Sure thing! One waitress is lacking and they need to replace her but we feel comfortable and love coming here. Can't beat the cream puffs at the end either yum! Also trying the singing chicken!

Came here solely on the strength of Yelp reviews. Its a small little spot on Evergreen, almost directly across the street from the Value Village. We had the fresh rolls which truly are huge. Hard to eat almost! They were clean tasting and looking. The dipping sauce is meh. Another reviewer said hoisin and peanuts and that's exactly it! I ordered teh chicken banh mi as I'm in a banh mi craze right now. My husband, who I'd brought along somewhat unwillingly, got the fiery chili chicken. Banh mi was good... I felt it could have a little more pizzazz but it was all around decent. My husbands chicken had a great flavor, crunch, and heat, but there was no sauce on it so it was hard to eat a lot of. It really needs a sauce and then it would be excellent. I ordered a chicken pho to go and had it for breakfast this morning. I haven't had a lot of pho but the broth seemed well flavored and the add-ins fresh. The cream puffs, well, not much more needs to be said than has been said. They are great! The only thing was that service was pretty slow. There was only one lady running the floor and while we were there the place filled up. Everything took a long time and at the end we just paid cash because we didn't want to wait another 10 minutes for our card to be picked up and run! Oh, its CHEAP. Like really cheap. It was $26 for our meal and we had a ton of food.

Came here with my husband based on the reviews and I don't know if we caught them on a bad day, but we were really unimpressed which is saying a lot for us because we're not picky. Tiny cramped restaurant that looks a little sketch. Got the fried pho on the review recommendations: too much fried? It was soggy and while the smell was amazing, there was virtually NO taste at all. Same with the chicken pho: I didn't think it was possible to mess up pho, but the broth had very little flavor and I was so sad! (It was a cold rainy night so I was really craving a nice hot steaming salty bowl of chicken pho! The cream puffs after the meal are free and HUGE, but I felt like they were just filled with pudding? Needless to say, I'll choose other places for my pho next time.

At about 8:30pm, the restaurant was surprisingly still half full and busy. It took me awhile to study the expansive menu ranging from Vietnamese to Chinese. There seem to be a lot of regulars, which I always think is a good indicator. For takeout I opted for a classic Vietnamese dish: Bun Bo Hue (Hue Style Spicy Noodle Soup). And since it was raining, soup does the soul good! While the soup was a fiery bright red color, it fell short in spice whatsoever. So misleading! The takeout serving was plentiful, with lots of garnishes (bean sprouts, lime, shredded cabbage & lettuce, jalapeno). The meat on the other hand was a cop out, they subbed "pho soup" meat for Bun Bo Hue meat. Did they think I didn't notice? The beef brisket was dry and rubbery, and the cha lua (Vietnamese ham) didn't even belong there so I won't EVEN comment. At least the broth was salty and rich, but could use TONS more lemongrass. The pork knuckle wasn't as tender as I had I hoped for, and needed some more love back in the kitchen. For my man I ordered crispy pho, which was basically chow fun chow mein with a crunchier twist. It was a large portion that included they usual stir fry veggies and tender slices of beef & chicken. The gravy sauce was great but I felt that there was too much of it, and took away from the crispiness of the wide rice noodles. They should really rename the dish "Crispy Pho Wandering in Brown Murky Water". When you dine in house, they provide complimentary cream puffs (vanilla or chocolate). Since my order was a takeout, that wasn't part of the deal so I ordered a couple cream puffs not to feel left out. At $1.25, they are well worth it. But the large size of the cream puff was not consistent with the tiny amount of cream filling within it, unless I just got a whack one. The bubble tea here is a no go, as it is a powdery mix and even the tapioca is overdone. Overall, service was friendly but the wait for my order was slow (20 mins). I recommend calling in ahead for takeout. I will come back here to try the many other dishes and see if it's worth raising a star or not.

Not perfect but for fast asian food . In my humble opinion really good. Cashew chicken is delicious family meals can be ordered online. My goto asian food place. And I usually only cook at home myself. I highly recommend this place. And they deliver.

I really don't understand why this place has such a great representation. I've been here three times now, and have never left feeling like I had a great experience. I went here yesterday because most other Pho places are closed. I ordered the Shrimp Pho and my boyfriend order the Flank Pho. My shrimp was bland and my boyfriends steak was really tough and did not taste very good. Not to mention the service was super slow, and it took 20 minutes just to get our bill after we had finished eating. The cream puffs they gave us at the end of our meal were stale. The only good thing I can say is that the broth of the pho tasted pretty good, but that's probably because of the amount of hoisin sauce that I put into it. My previous experience here was even worse. I thought that the Chinese food looked good and ordered Orange Chicken. When I received it, it was not only cold, but there was virtually no chicken inside the breading. Also, the pieces that actually had chicken were dry and tasted old. It was gross, and I only ate about 4 pieces before deciding I was done. There are many other options than this place, and I recommend going there instead. It's just not worth it.

Had a hankering for Pho and those yummy Fresh Spring rolls I've gotten at many Vietnamese restaurants. You know, light but very flavorful. Of course, I yelped what was around here in Everett since I live in Bellevue and Janbo came up with the highest number of stars so, trusting in my fellow Yelpers, I called in an order and drove 5 minutes to get there. Now the outside is nothing to talk about, it's pretty blah. I walked in however and the place was packed. It took a few minutes to get my food, which I actually like. That way it's all still fresh. The servers were so nice and even offered me some water while I waited. I got my order and ran back to my office to scarf it down. I inhaled the fresh spring rolls -- they were amazing. So fresh served with a hoisin-type of sauce with chopped nuts in it. I ate half of my Bahn Mi which was pork and just delish. I had a little bit of my Combination Pho and have to say it was one of the best Pho that I've had. Only problem? Ever since I found this place, I have to now go there once a week for my Vietnamese food fix. I guess life could be a lot worse...

First time at Janbo yesterday got some Pho, springrolls and a Bahmi. Pho- Nice clean broth but not much flavor. I am also a fan of the rare beef to cook in the hot broth but the meat here was par-cooked and grey looking. Must be for people who get squeamish at the sight of raw beef. Springrolls - these were fresh and awesome! peanut sauce for dipping was great too. Bahmi - Got the combo and it was great and fresh Will come back but not for the Pho!

I have never tried any of this food, other than Chinese, so this was an adventure for me. The service here was excellent and they were very patient with my questions. I loved that the menu had good descriptions and lots of pictures. There were more pictures up on the wall. We ordered Pho: I didn't care for this. My husband said he's had better, but he liked it. Pad Thai: I loved it. Chinese Donut: This was good but kind of weird Bahn Mi: I loved it once I picked off the cilantro I can't comment on how things compared to other restaurants but my husband seemed happy. I'll go here again. I loved the complimentary cream puff dessert!

This place was great! Located in Everett (which I do not visit often), this was one of the highest Yelp rated restaurants - and for a good reasons. Expect a mix of Chinese and Vietnamese menu options. The place is frequented by Asian customers (a good sign), but is also very clean with friendly staff who speak English well (unlike some of the other local, divey places with excellent Asian food). This place is top notch, without the top notch prices. Food: menu includes pho, noodle dishes, rice dishes, several appetizers and desserts. Portion sizes were excellent and you get a free (tasty) cream puff at the end. I had Hong Kong Style noodles with pork, chicken and shrimp on top. They also have a fried pho dish which is popular. Happy hour - several bubble tea flavors discounted (tasted good with pearls of good consistency) and signature iced coffee in a tall glass (yum!). Also discounted Saporro and Tsing Tao beers. Iced water and hot tea comes free with your meal, as does the cream puff for dessert. Ambiance: not bad. Not a very large place. Printed photos of food items on the walls and large Buddha when you enter. The funniest part - lots of 80s love music playing in the background: Vanessa Williams, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, I Swear by All 4 One....don't let this scare you away!! Bathrooms were clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free lot for parking. Very reasonable prices. Maybe $10-12 per dish, but good portions. I would even consider driving from Seattle to Everett just for this place!!

born & raised in Everett and I always see and drive by this restaurant but have never stepped foot into it until maybe last Dec.! It's small so the best time to go is before lunch (or dinner) rush because te wait can be awhile. I always get the steak pho, it is the BEST! They also have a variety of vietnamese food and chinese food and bubble tea!!! The end is the best part, the complimentary HUGE cream puff! mmmmm!

This place is awesome. My boyfriend brought their sate beef noodle soup home a few months ago and I really liked it. We decided to go there last week to eat. I was a little hesitant when I first saw it, it's across the street from Value Village on Evergreen next to Peking Duck and a Jiffy Lube or some other car place. It looks a little grimy but I was excited since the sate beef noodle soup was so good. The people that work there (the owners, I assume) as so sweet and have excellent customer service. They make you feel very comfortable eating there and make you want to come back soon. We ordered the sate beef noodle soup extra spicy (it comes spicy already) and a Vietnamese chicken sandwich. Both of them were delicious. The soup is somewhat similar to pho; broth, beef, noodles (although they're different than normal pho noodles), and then some really different ingredients like tomato, lettuce, cucumber, peanuts, and maybe something else. It has a really yummy peanut taste and it's just really different and delicious. The Vietnamese sandwich had really good chicken that had been cooked in a yummy marinade and lots of veggies that you'd normally find on a Vietnamese sandwich. The prices are really low, too. For the soup (which fed both of us with lots of leftovers) and the sandwich it was only $11 or so. They also gave us free cream puffs that are massive and really good. We will definitely go back and I'll order the sate beef noodle soup to go, also!

Yeah, let me preface by clearly stating I don't eat creampuffs. The meat, toppings, broth were perfection - fresh and fast. again. We had Pho Tai, extra MEAT and Veggie Pho. The amount of veggies made my friends eyes roll back in ecstasy. The sandwiches keep in time with freshness and contents are plentiful. The random decor makes this place even more entertaining, and the bathrooms were spotless. The hot teapot is so welcome on these rainy visits to the great white north. Obligatory Janbo Creampuff report: The peeps at the table who did consume those fatty puffs were quite pleased. I just wish I could fondle the huge encased Golden Buddha..

So my daughter and I were at the Seattle Premium Outlet all day and were meeting up with my brother for dinner. We found a place nearby however it was closed. So we yelped and found this place. We were just banking on the overall really nice reviews of this place that it would be great. And it was! It is a very small place and service was not really up to par but the food was delicious. The salt and pepper tofu, the spring rolls and the phos were all wonderful. If we are in the area again we will definitely go back.

Funky little place way the heck up in Everett. Don't blink or you'll miss it. We went based upon the excellent reviews, and boy, they weren't lying. OK, the interior is off putting. Old. Cold. Dated. but reasonably clean. The staff, just like the other reviews stated. Super Friendly! So here is what we ordered. Spring Rolls- So yummy. Fresh basil and cilantro and lettuce and noodles, shrimp and pork. I felt so healthy eating it. Its a Winner. Lemongrass Spare Ribs- Thinly sliced. Wonderfully flavored. Its good. Spicy Won Tons- Not my fav. A little soggy. Fishy tasting. We didn't finish them. Meatball Pho- Most excellent! Yes..A winner..Good broth, good noodles. Chicken Vietnamese Sandwich (Bahn Mi)- This was, hands down, my favorite item. The flavors were outstanding. the bread so crunchy. Singing Chicken- Its was good. Ya know.. It was OK.. good flavors. Not something Ill go home craving and I probably wont order it again. There wasn't anything wrong with it, it was fine. Just, ya know... We ordered all that food and the bill was only $40. Totally worth the drive. There are lots of other things on the menu I'm hoping to try very very soon.

Tasty food and friendly service. I do take out mostly, but my son and stopped in for lunch the other day, The server was very nice and the cream puffs were even better since it was fresher than take out. I highly recommend.

Nothing here to rave about. Tiny, cramped restaurant where almost everyone gets a view of the kitchen. Food was okay...served piping hot. But, my two pet peeves are restaurants that serve chicken dishes where the skin is left on and with dark meat. The staff is friendly. The bright point of our meal was the cream puffs served after the meal. They were fantastic.

We did take out the other night and the staff is soooo wonderful. The food was fresh and the bubble tea is some of the best... Pho A+, Orange Chicken, A+, BBQ large portions and fresh! Egg flower soup some of the best I have had.... This restaurant is one of the best

Lots of variety on the menu and reasonable prices. I always forget to stop here since I love another restuarant nearby but this one is also tasty. A variety of sauces are on the table, including an unusual garlic sweet and sour. Vegetarian pho is good. Perhaps next time I will sample some of the chinese food on the menu. My friend enjoys the chicken salad. Water refills were plentiful and free tea is always appreciated. Also comes with creme puffs for dessert. It is interesting to read the mystery shopping award on the wall.

Food was okay. I got the spicy chili chicken. It was dry. It didnt come with rice. I also bought thai tea bubble tea but it was watered down...... The other food my friends got looked good though. Lol

Janbo Café is hands down one of my favorite places to get pho. I usually order the veggie pho which is always delicious with very good broth. They also have chilli oil AND chili paste in addition to the typical sriracha and hoisen sauces, which makes me happy cuz I like my pho SPICY! The staff are always very friendly, especially the female owner. Love her!! Although I typically always order pho I have tried the special fried rice (so good), the ma po tofu (very tasty), the seafood soup (also good) and tonight I ordered the beef sate soup and it is DELICIOUS. Its loaded with thin sliced beef, fresh cucumbers, fresh tomatoes and romaine lettuce plus wide rice noodle. Its a nice change of pace from pho as the broth is a rich, spicy and peanuty flavor. Very tasty! Im very impressed with how much sliced beef they put in it!! Hopefully it's still good reheated cuz I'll definitely be having leftovers tomorrow :) My only complaint tonight is that I wasn't asked if i wanted chopsticks and I didn't think about it until I got home...luckily I have one set left from my own supply otherwise I wouldn't have enjoyed my meal as much. Overall tho, great place with great food! A must try!!!

I really enjoyed this restaurant! And finding good Asian food in Everett is a rarity. Based on other Yelpers, I ordered the mango bubble tea. This tea was really good! It tasted like a really thick mango lasse with boba. I also ordered a small vegetarian pho that was very tasty and quite enough for two. My date and I ordered the beef and pork Vietnamese sandwiches. The rolls were flaky and chewy. The sandwiches were heavy on the veggie fillings...in marked contrast to the ones I got in Chinatown that were really light on them..quite a nice change. I also ordered the Singing Chicken. This dish rocked!! It was like a honey chicken glaze with a light breading. It was served in a clay pot and the chicken really retained its heat because I burned my mouth on the pieces even after letting it cool for nearly 10 min. And at the end, the server brought out two very very nice sized cream puffs with a chocolate filling! I tend to like mine with just the plain but this was still great and it was FREE!!! Overall with a small soup, 2 sandwiches, and an ala carte chinese dish, and 2 bubble tea, the whole deal came to $29 or $36 with tip....and left with take home....great place!!!

  • Juliet V.

This is our new favorite. And the vegetarian items are clearly marked so we can't go wrong. We always order to-go because we live nearby and love to sit down and eat and watch Netflix at home. When I get the pho it comes with a container with the broth, and then a big Styrofoam container with loads of fresh goodies to put in, including packets of hoison and chili sauce in case I want to add to the flavor. The only thing is we never get a free cream puff with our take-out. What gives? We pay the same amount only you don't have to clean up after us. So give us free cream puffs, K? I even tip when I pick up because you all are so nice! Banh mai is my new favorite. I skip lunch so I can eat two. :O

the food is hit and miss some of the dishes are great and some are meh however the service is fantastic and the cream puffs they serve at the end of your meal are second to none I love there egg rolls however I find their pho broth to be a little bland.

I had the Tofu Vietnamese bowl (C6) and it was great! I love that the sauces were on the table, the service was good and the price was reasonable. The only reason it wasn't a 5 is because the inside was a little sketch looking. I will go back for sure!

I am a huge fan of Asian restaurants and had a hankering for some one night and decided to surprise my husband with take out. I ordered the Kung Pow Chicken and an order of Seafood Lo Mein and an order of egg rolls. 1. The Kung Pow Chicken had little to no chicken. The vegetables were hard and it wasn't spicy at all. 2. The Seafood Lo Mein was COLD and greasy. 3. The egg rolls were good, but left an odd after taste afterwards. I was somewhat put off, that their profile picture on Yelp! was a picture of a cat. :/

Best buhn mi's in Everett. I've eaten a lot of them and Janbo's is as good as the best in Chinatown, Seattle. If you want to buy a bun mi for later, have them put the vegetables separately, in a bag. You heat the sandwitch and put the veggies on when you want to eat the buhn mi. This keeps the sandwitch from getting soggy. Other menu items are also tasty; try them all.

This is my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant (at least if you don't count my real favorites back in Oakland, CA, but since I live here now, I think I have to re-calibrate). So we've been there twice now, and gone the Vietnamese route both times. They also have a full Chinese menu, but it's so hard for me to pass up the Pho and the Bahn Mi. Maybe sometime we'll get a Chinese dish, just to see. So among our family (2 adults, 2 kids) on our two visits, we've sampled the beef Pho (ranging from just steak to the house special with flank, steak, meatball, and tendon--turns out I don't like tendon so much), the chicken Pho, the vegetarian Pho, spring rolls, and pork Bahn Mi. Everything was outstanding. Even the vegetarian Pho, which sometimes has a weak broth, was really good. The beef Pho was the highlight for me, though. The broth was so rich and flavorful. And of course, as everyone else says, the cream puffs are ridiculously huge, light, and delicious. The only downside is that it's in Everett and we're in Edmonds, and it's about a 30 minute drive.

This is by far the best place in Everett (maybe Washington) to eat. I have NEVER had a bad dish at this little spot from heaven. The house rice is moist and full of flavor, the soup is sweet and has a wonderful aroma. They take great care preparing all their food. The service is wonderful whether you dine in or order take out. This is a great place to eat. Don't forget to get some bubble tea and enjoy the delightful cream puffs for desert. LOVE IT!!

I'm going to make this short and sweet: I ordered the vegetarian pho, not a vegetarian but enjoy meatless meals. It was awesome! I loved that it came with so many veggies, broccoli, mushrooms, corn, carrots, bok choy and then of course some nice crispy fried tofu squares. The broth was amazing, the veggies all super fresh and when you finish the meal they bring you cream puffs. Friendly staff, and a clean nicely decorated dining area.

At first I don't want to review this place just simply because this place is rocking my world with their awesomely delicious foods and I don't want many people to know about this restaurant. but to be fair, Janbo Cafe deserve to be known. Their fresh roll are huge and long and almost can not fit in my mouth, but they were delicious and can make a good lunch on its own. My other favorites are, bun bo hue, stewed beef, fiery chili chicken, short rips, and the won-ton egg noodle soup. give this place a try and you will love them.

Don't waste your money! We had chicken pho, house special chow mein, and Szechuan chicken. The pho had no flavor at all. It was like they put the noodles, chicken, and onion in boiled water and served it. We could not get the pho to taste decent even with plenty of hoisin and sriracha sauce. The Szechuan chicken had very little flavor although the ingredients were in order. The chow mein also had good ingredients, but was too dry, and again, the flavor was lacking.

All is forgiven!! The key here is to EAT IN. I tried this amazingly good and interesting "crispy pho" a couple nights ago- A stirfry of veggies and beef atop a wide battered and deep fried rice noodle. Very different, and very delicious. Also- How can anyone stay mad at folks who bake (complimentary with dine-in customers, you can also order them at 1.00 each)creampuffs as big as a kitten and make the best dang spring rolls anywhere?

I had the house Special pho. And a spring roll the pho was just okay the meat was a little tough the flavor of the broth was bland the spring rolls greasy the best part of this meal was the cream puff at the end. No I will come back to this one there a lot better pho places.

I'll pass. EDIT: They totally screwed up my order (wrong item received, other items missing), but in fairness to them, after I sent a letter they eventually did refund my money, and sent an additional gift certificate. I gave it away since I don't plan on going back again, but a very nice gesture that I feel I should mention since I gave them a bad rating. The food I DID receive was moderately good, although not as good as many of the reviewers here are saying. I found the tofu bahn mi to be pretty tasteless, but it was very fresh, so I still ate it. The one cream puff I received was good too (I ordered two, and plus they apparently give you one free with your order, so 1 only out of 3 received) . The chicken dish they sent me was the wrong one, and it was terrible. I can't recall what it was, but I remember the chicken pieces were nasty looking. I ate a few bites of everything but the chicken, then through it in the trash. They had some sort of bread/donut thing that was also good. I am raising my rating from 1 stars to 3 stars because I feel like they came through in the end, and their food is tolerable, however I won't be back because of all the errors on my order and the blandness of the food..

This place is amazing! They got a very tasty Vietnamese pork sandwich and my personal favorite the Crunchy Pho which I have never seen anywhere else in other Vietnamese restaurants. I would have gotten a Boba Milk Tea shake but I ate myself to a food comma....yes it was that delicious!

I called a head to pick up the house special pho and a side of eggrolls. I felt nothing special about the eggroll, but the Pho was excellent. There was 4 types of meat in the house special and it had tremendous flavor. My lips are still burning from the siricha( I love it spicy). Best Pho I have had in Everett so far.

Stopped in last weekend for a quick snack of spring rolls and was enticed by pics of food on the wall to come back- and I'm glad we did! (The spring rolls are excellent, btw) Went there for dinner tonight and had a great experience. Service and food was on point!! Had the beef crispy pho and was wowed. I don't generally like pho, but I look forward to eating their crispy pho again & again. The waitresses were attentive and kind to us and were playful with our cranky toddler. They didn't hurry us to finish even though they were closing and even gave us an extra cream puff for our little girl (and we didn't even ask for it- they were super nice). And I concur with other yelp-ers, chocolate or vanilla, those huge cream puffs are a tasty treat!! Will definitely come back!!

Stopped here for lunch one day and picked up a pork Banh Mi. Although it took about 10 minutes for them to make my one sandwich, it was well worth it. My favorite place for a Banh Mi is Yeh Yeh's Sandwiches in Lynnwood, but this place would be a good alternative.

I kinda really don't like Everett. The city didn't score high points with me after one of its lesser residents broke into my car. But one of my companions was hungry for 'Pho' and we were in the area...and somehow a search on Pho pulled up 'cream puffs'. Cream puffs? Yes. Go for the cream puffs. ...If that is what it takes to lure you in the door. You won't leave disappointed by them OR the other menu options. The ladies serving you are adorable and super nice. It is almost like eating in their little kitchen. Bonus- neither my son nor I swelled up after eating the broth. Yay- no weird salts!

if I could eat here seven days a week I would. Amazing food! The fresh spring rolls...amazing!! I think Janbo's are the best I've ever had...and lemme tell you, they are not all created equal. The Pho is also delish! But my absolute favorite thing to order is the Shrimp Salad. I'm so freaking happy I discovered it! Its unlike anything I've ever had and I never leave disappointed. I bring all my friends here and they all love it too. Great food, great service, free tea and cream puff :)

Delicious Huge Cream Puffs & Vietnamese Sandwiches! I came here to order their Vietnamese sandwich because the place was just a few miles away. While i was waiting for my sandwich order i notice their cream puffs. They were enormous and very inexpensive (less than $2). I bought one & i was hooked! The cream inside is very delicious and not too sweet. I really detest the ones that taste like pure cake frosting, but this one taste just right! I probably only shared one bite w/my boyfriend before i gobbled the rest up. Their pork sandwich is good. Its different than most Vietnamese deli because of their use of jalapeno pickled pepper rather than fresh thai restaurants and that they grill their pork. Its a new variation that i've never tried before and i think its pretty good for being in Everett. I like that i can walk into this place & see on their wall pictures of their menu. They have ALOT of traditional Vietnamese entrees there and its authentic. I haven't tried any of their rice dishes, but my boyfriend will vouch that there food is really good. I'll definitely have to come back & try the rest of their menu soon.

This review is shamelessly all about my favorite little secret on Evergreen Way -- Janbo Cafe's plump, fresh cream puffs. Oh, cream puff à la Janbo, how much do I love thee... let me count the ways. -They're bigger than your average post-pho complimentary puff (I second the comparison to kittens as noted by Nina W.) -The pastry puff is soft and fluffy as opposed to firm and crumbly. -The filling is more moussey-creamy-puddingy than thick custardy, so the puffs are lighter and not as nauseatingly rich by the time you get to the third one. Or the fourth. Or the fifth. Just trust me on this, I've tested it many times. Maybe I'm obsessive but every time I bring these babies to a get-together they're gone in less than 10 minutes. Yes, I've tried all the flavors and variations at Beard Papa's; yes, I've had countless bite-sized puffs from a bunch of other pho restaurants; and yes, I've taken a french pastry class in which I've learned to make my own. I still prefer these. Love is irrational. For about ~$1 each you can order as many as you want, and specify which flavor (they've chocolate and vanilla; both equally fantastic). The nice ladies who work at Janbo are always so sweet and careful about packing the puffs up. Each one is filled to order so you walk away with fresh not-so-little puffs that keep well in the fridge, assuming they last that long. One of these days I'll build up enough resistance to order something other than dessert from Janbo. Maybe.

Its seriously all about the cream puffs at this place. They are size of regular donuts!! Not only that, they come in chocolate and regular!! No lie, when I first went here with a friend back in 2005, the lady recognized we were new. She then gave us two cream puffs to try then & there. AMAZING. They were suuuuper good. After seeing our reactions to the cream puffs (and I am 100% serious about this), she followed up by saying *in a Asian accent* "That's right. My cream puff bring ALL the boy to the yard." hahahaha!!! Aside from that, I love going to this place when I am up north. The pho is solid, and her Vietnamese sandwiches are definitely a beautiful thing. I actually would prefer to go here than, Than Brothers close to the mall. Service is better, and the Janbo cream puffs could beat up the Than Brothers cream puffs any day of the week. The food tastes way better overall as well. ***If anything, ORDER EXTRA CREAM PUFFS TO GO!!! If you peek a look into the back kitchen, they have BOXES of cream puffs they fill everyday and sell. SO DO IT ALREADY***

all this talk about a jumbo cream puff, had to go try. Turns out, this place is no ordinary Vietnamese eatery, in fact, we think it's secretly a Hong Kong cafe with some Pho dishes :) the food we ordered was pretty good, the crispy pho was a nice invention that is very tasty, the fried rice and chow mien were pretty good as well, while the curry was a little watered down, it did not disappoint in the taste department. All in all, we were satisfied. The cream puffs at the end (and yes, they are HUGE!) were airy, not too sweet, and just the right dessert to end the meal. Service was excellent as well! we will be coming back. They have a long list of chinese dishes that need to be tested! Very interesting place! would never have found it without YELP, thanks fellow yelpers!

First thing I noticed was a very large spider on the wall behind my table. It didn't do anything and was merely interesting to look at but it made me wonder if their front area was this unkempt how their back area looked. I first ordered the house special pho. The beef strips were tough and fairly tasteless, and the rest of the soup was unremarkable but good. I wasn't terribly impressed, but the complimentary tea and cream puff really added to the experience, and since it was all just $7 I felt pretty good about it. The service was also superb. The real winner though was the fried rice I ordered as take out after the meal. Upon opening it up at home I found a work of true beauty. The lightly browned rice, green flecks of cilantro and onion, pink pork strips and the rest came together to form a magnificent culinary portrait. It was as delicious as it was pleasant to look upon.

i'd certainly go back here. both dishes we tried were good, broccoli beef and a rather unique crispy pho- more of a tasty noodle dish made with fried noodles, veggies and medley of seafood and meat. vanilla cream puff was excellent too.

I went to Janbo last week for my first time and it was truly amazing. I did not expect it to be so great but it really was delicious. The server and waitress were extremely nice. They explained the meals and the smoothies/bubble tea since the food is vietnamese and quite unique. The prices are great. Each entree could serve two people. Be ready for a big and delicious meal. We tried the jackfruit smoothie with jelly pearls in the bottom. It was unique and a fun sweet treat. The Crunchy Pho with pork was excellent. They have warm tea served at the beginning and they end the meal with a cream puff for each customer ! I will go back over and over again to this place. I cannot wait to go back! Thanks Janbo for your excellent service and amazing food! :)

This Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere during the rain or, when I was there, snow. The tea, which comes free with any meal, warmed me up and was refreshing after a long day of work. I decided on the Combo Box since there is a big red sign recommending it as a summer special. It also says "You can finish it, won't feel overloaded." The combo box has veggies, chicken, a pork spring roll, and "house sauce special": 2 sauces, 1 sweet and 1 spicy. I was able to finish the dish and did not feel overloaded either. In fact, it was better than what my friend and I expected. The chicken was tender and went better with the sweet sauce, whereas the veggies were better with the spicy. The dish overall reminded me of Pho without the soup. Be careful about eating the spring roll immediately - it burned the top of my mouth. It is still a little swollen. After the meal, my friend and I received complimentary cream puffs, which were delicious and a great way to round up the meal. Try this place out if you are looking for cheap, quality food. Don't go on Mondays, since they are closed.

Good food although the immediate neighborhood area and the decor are a minus for the less-adventuresome. This place gets an extra star for being a place to consistently get good food in Everett, although it is an arguable 4.5 star anyway. The service is always polite and comes across as genuinely friendly. Pho - Anyone who goes into a "full menu" Vietnamese restaurant for the first time and judges it based on the pho alone should be trusted as you would someone who would review a steakhouse based on the quality of its happy-hour cheeseburger, without trying anything else. Although this place IS a Vietnamese restaurant, it is not a "pho joint". The pho here is not great as it's kinda bland. Eat pho at places that serve basically ONLY pho, although most Vietnamese full-menu restaurants will have pho on the menu. Everything else - House Special Crispy Noodle is Very Good - Bahn Mi Bo Kho (beef stew with small toasted french baguette on the side) is Excellent - "Combo Bowl" (AKA Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio with chicken too) is Very Good.

Why have I not eaten here before? I can't believe it's been here in Everett for years and I haven't eaten here before! Very friendly staff, awesome food and the dessert.... WOW! Everything I've had here is fresh and delicious and the price is GREAT! This has become a new favorite of ours. I strongly recommend it!

The flavor is intense. The surroundings are quaint enough to imply it's a clean restaurant, but Janbo is a family style restaurant. I watched in awe as the owners sat down to eat a beautiful banquet of various foods, things I would want to try maybe. I ordered the combo plate and was disappointed by the very soft noodles, which are expected as they are rice noodles, but they seem overcooked. I prefer lo mein, but the different combination of lettuce, noodle, chicken and all reminded me of an upgraded chicken teryaki box, with lettuce and a little cilantro thrown in to make things interesting. The noodles remind me of yakisoba, but more soft. The flavors are all interesting. I will definitely be back.

Went to Janbo today and was pleasantly surprised. I found that the service was great and the Pho was awesome. All the dishes looked great. It was also open on the day after Christmas. My friend and I enjoyed the presentation and the restaurant was spotless. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone that is looking for a good clean honest restaurant in Everett. Enjoy!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
