I have only bought their fresh corn tortillas, but they are excellent and the employees are always very friendly and helpful. They usually have hot tortillas if you will be eating them within the hour. Just ask. Even after a week in my fridge, they taste so much better than grocery store tortillas. I lived in Mexico 5 years.

A coworker who knows her Mexican food was raving about this place and that they make their tortillas by hand in-house. In fact, it was such a hit with our coworkers that we have our weekly Taco Fridays. I must admit that I know absolutely nothing about Mexican food and what makes good Mexican food. But I do know what makes a good restaurant with even better food. As a group, we got everything you can imagine. Tacos/taco salad, nachos, quesadillas, burritos, you name it. I'm pretty boring and usually get a chicken quesadilla no matter where I go. I realize it's actually difficult to mess up or not get it (making a quesadilla) right, but these are good. I can always tell the quality of a quesadilla by the amount of cheese they put in it. They are more than generous with their cheese and you got yourself a tortilla filled with melty, cheesy GOODNESS. The restaurant itself is pretty big, so it can hold a substantial amount of people during the busy lunch hour. The staff is super friendly and helpful. If you're dining in, they bring your food to your table and you don't have to bus your own table, SO DON'T FORGET TO TIP THEM!

Whenever I'm in the mood for Mexican while I'm visiting friends on Casino Road, this is the place I go. Not only is the owner and his family nice, the food is outstanding. (Even though I'm kind of bias because my dad is friend's with the owner.) I stick by word. I kind of wish they were open right now.. I'm craving Mexican food at 5:30am. Haha.

Great place to eat 2nd time here in a week. They make their own tortillas. Fresh food. Price reasonable. When they are busy they are busy. The quesadilla is great not greasy like other places. The hubby loves the carne asada. The service is great. The serving is just right amount of food. Not too much not to little. I forgot to take a pic we ate it so fast .

Ever since I moved from Mexico, me and my family have been searching for the perfect Mexican restaurant. And we found it. This place is as authentic as it gets. Especially the carne asada and the tacos (tongue being my favorite). yes some dishes are not remotely authentic but Most of the dishes are, making this place the most authentic and delicious Mexican restaurant in the northwest. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!

Authentic food, genuine people. I used to visit this place when I would come from Florida to visit my girl friend. Then I would do the same when I came to visit my fiancée. And now I do it with my wife. Every time we visit, the owners (brothers) ask us how we are, or if I go in alone, they ask how my wife is by name. We bring our out of town guests here all the time. I almost always get the tacos al pastor with horchata. Only $1.65 each! I'm not typically a fan of corn tortillas, but the fresh ones here are amazing. My wife almost always gets the carnitas tacos and flan. Good prices, quality food, and incredible service.

I had high hopes for this place because, as we walked through the door, we realized that we were the only "gringos" in the restaurant. Wonderful aromas wafted through the room and you could watch the staff churning out fresh tortillas. Unfortunately, the food was bland, bland, bland. I grew up in the desert SW so I know that this is not the way authentic Mexican food should be. It needed salt, spice, tang, anything! Once I doused it with green salsa, the flavor improved. My food arrived luke warm and worse yet, my plate was cracked and chipped. Yuck. Please, some one write to me and tell me where they are hiding the real Mexican food in this area...I am desperate...I am eyeing the Chipotle reviews...

Casa El Dorado is a tortilla factory cranking out fresh wheat and corn tortillas all day. They also double as a very authentic Mexican restaurant. They do a great job on carne asada but the masterpiece here is their smothered pork burrito. It is covered in a tangy red sauce with generous dollops of sour cream, fresh tomatoes and lettuce. They bring a bottle of green salsa to douse it with that is unusually good. One of my favorite meals anywhere! Their tacos are way above average but the pork is just so awesome, I seldom pass it up. They have real Mexican sodas, there. Most of the clientele is Mexican, which is a good sign. They start serving at 9 AM so sometimes I drive up from Edmonds for a monster burito breakfast and it is worth the trip!

I stopped in for some tacos to go. The nice man at the counter was courteous enough to let me practice my Spanish. He even taught me some new words. The tacos were amazing. I will definitely be back!!

I was really excited when I heard you can order cold tamales to take home here. I ordered both chicken and pork since I couldn't decide. I had one last night and it was pretty good. But the one my son ate had a long black hair in it. Needless to say we both lost our appetite. My husband wanted one in the middle of the night... he said he took a bite and it tasted like it had gone bad so he dissected it and looked close at the husk it was wrapped in and there were mold spots in the husk. I threw out the rest. Extremely disappointing, it is so hard to find a place that has homemade tamales.

As far as their food i don't know, but masa for tamales seemed to be made from the powder and they charge way to much. Not pleased with their product at all! Not real masa!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
