I received terrible service here. I ordered three dishes to go, and I received only two of those dishes initially. When I asked them about the third dish I had ordered, they blamed me for not ordering the third dish in the first place! I did order three dishes, and I repeated my order twice to make sure they heard me. However, they blamed me for something that was their fault. I ended up having to wait even longer for my third dish. When I got home and tried the food, I just found it too salty. I love salty food, and it was just too much for me. Basically, terrible service, terrible food. I'm not sure why this place is popular. I will never come back here.

The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The lunch menu comes with tea, a choice of soup, a spring roll and either steamed or fried rice. Honestly, the portion was more than enough. I didn't see the option on the menu but I wish I could have ordered a combo plate. I opted for the General Taos chicken. It was marked as spicy on the menu but I wasn't asked how hot I would like it. It did have a little heat to it but I would have liked a little more. The chicken was prepared in small balls which perplexed me a little and it that left room for too much breading in places. The heater was on pretty high and it keeps the restaurant pretty warm. You won't need your coat while eating. I might come back, it's not the worst I've had however no where near the best either. If you haven't been, I'd say give it a try and see what you think.

Friendly service. Food came within like 5 mins after ordering... Fried rice tasted stale and dry, no egg carrots, 2 peas. Basically it was dried rice with a few peas on top... Chicken was good.. But not fresh seeing that it was cooked in lest then 5mins. Not sure what about all the hype is about this place but we were sadly disappointed. I spent the same amount of money that I would for safeways Chinese food and got a lesser quality here.

Was messaged on here by someone who most likely works for them since that person only every reviewed this one place. It just shows horrible customer service if they feel the need to tell me how much they don't like my review.

Normally I will write lengthy reviews but for this place I will sum it up with a simple, "Everything tasted like pee."

Excellent experience from start to finish. We have enjoyed the food for years. Recently ordered ala carte and portions were large. Chowmein was excellent and Pad Thai exceptional. This a family run restaurant. Waitstaff was courteous and service was fast.

Good prices and portions here. Only negative thing was the owner had her younger daughter working there, and she wasn't very courteous at all. She would just pass all the plates, chopsticks or napkins to one person and ask us to pass it around. She also kept running back and forth while we were eating, which was weird and disruptive. Then her creepy friend kept tapping on the window trying to get her to go outside to play. Other than that.... prices are decent, flavor was tasty and authentic, plenty of parking and no crowds. On a Saturday night, we were the only ones there for about 30-45 min.

I went to Beijing Garden last night for a to-go order. Though the food was really good, I probably wont ever go and eat inside, and will avoid going in at all costs. The service was bad. I helped myself to a menu and then waited for about 10 minutes until someone helped me. There were two other families in the restaurant at the time, and they too were waiting on the servers for checks/food. I observed one lady and a young girl worker (who didn't even look older than 14 yrs old) get into a huge disagreement and were arguing with each other at the front counter. Idk what was said because it was in another language but it was very unprofessional. The food on the other hand was great! I got the #1 Dinner combo. and I loved it. I'm not a fan of rice, but I actually liked their fried rice. I will definitely order from them again, I just wont physically go inside. Also, the parking lot is very cramped and awkward. So be careful when parking and pulling out to avoid hitting another vehicle or the stone wall.

Service is slow and decor could use some clean up. It feels cluttered.. or cramped... or something. However, the food was great. It is difficult to find decent Chinese food in Portland for some reason, but this was a good find on a trip to Everett. My daughter loved her huge plate of chow mein, and I had a combo that had twice as much food as I could eat. Overall, I would recommend it to a friend who wasn't in a hurry.

I enjoy Beijing Garden. We've only had it delivered so I can't speak to the restaurant itself, but their food is very good. Their Mongolian Beef is almost all beef, most places use a lot of onion for filler, but not here. Also, the beef is nice and tender and has great flavor. Their fried rice and chow mien aren't greasy, like a lot of other places. Pad Thai is good for a Chinese place. I would rather place an order online than call, so there's one more plus. Definitely worth a try!

Love it! Be sure to order the honey walnut shrimp. I think the problem with most Chinese restaurants in the area is most of the dishes are cooked with dark meat. We ask for white meat every time we eat here. The food is great. They are always flexible on how they make it. It's a family atmosphere which is nice. The owners kids are often helping out in the back and bringing drinks. We go out of our way to eat here driving from Woodinville. Trust me it's worth it for good Chinese.

I dig this place!!! I am a regular customer for this business I have ordered before and just want to say they are consistent and plentiful. It is not a reinvention of the culinary wheel but everytime I've ordered for delivery the food has arrived hot and plentiful. Noodles were still noodly, not mushy, fried items were still crunchy. My favorites from this place are the chicken pad Thai with wider noodles and more saucy than I've had before and flavor was great. Mongolian beef was tangy not overbearing, general tso's was also tasty..and as an added bonus free egg rolls with my order who will complain about that?...not this lady Ordered thru the yelp app and it couldn't have been easier.

  • Abby S.

I use the Eat 24 app and found Beijing Garden that way. I was looking for delivery options, and their wait time was 30-45 minutes. Only! We waited for our food for about an HOUR AND A HALF. Really a terrible delivery time in my book. Called the restaurant a few times, and each time it was "just a few minutes, driver is on his way." Ordered chicken chow mein and general tso's chicken with rice. Both were pretty darn good, but needed to be nuked in the microwave since they were so cold. I probably won't order delivery from them again, but I may stop in for food in the restaurant one day.

Typical Americanized Chinese restaurant with big portions and good taste. Been there twice for dinner and we enjoyed our food. Not bad.

Have ordered delivery and pickup from this place about a half dozen times now and I have to say I've been very happy 90% of the time. Even the 10% I wasn't it was still acceptable. The food is always tasty and seems fresh. Service is good and fast. Delivery is great. The fact that you can order online is very streamlined and cool.

What a nice surprise. The place is easily overlooked from the outside but the food was all really good. Mongolian beef combo had a nice unique flavor and all the sides were good.hot and sour soup was just the right mix. The service was not great but we weren't in a hurry so the food made up for it. Not much of a wine selection, just a few.

Stopped in for dinner at 845 pm, seated right away ordered about 10 minutes after being seated. Server was very friendly and helpful. Soup arrived in about 5 minutes, however my hot and sour soup was luke warm and thick. Asked to warm up. Food arrived within 10 minutes and fried rice was really dry. Flavors just not tasty. Deep fried tempura shrimp was panko breaded. Was surprised at the 4 star reviews. Alot of to go orders going out the door. Dissatisfied.

This should be a 4.5! We decided to give the new management a try yesterday and took the whole family in for an impromptu wedding feast. Things are entirely different from the disastrous order out of 7/6. It was fun and a good time was had by all. We gave the house a free hand with what to cook for the large group and that worked out very well. Everything was fresh and tasty. I think they deserve a chance and its too bad its expensive to change the name of the shop.

OK, so I am new to Everett and I am used to living on the Eastside. This has been a big food adjustment for me. We were looking for someplace that delivered and got food from here based on the reviews. I didn't eat everything. I wasn't happy from the start. Andrew and my mom were much more forgiving. Here is a breakdown- Wonton soup freaked me out. It had all of the extra meat and vegetables in it. I like the soup with just the wontons, some green onion and lots of broth. What they had wasn't what I was looking for although I believe they would like it. They liked the spring rolls and potstickers. Andrew liked the basil chicken. I thought it was bland (the menu said it was spicy too, which it wasn't at all) and thought the meat was kind of chewy. The honey glazed chicken was OK, but it did seem a bit more like orange chicken or sweet and sour. Chicken chow mien. I ate it later with soy sauce, but it really reminded me of China Express or Panda Express. Finally, the pork fried rice. It wasn't BBQ pork and the meat seemed a little bland to me. All in all I think this dish had the most flavor, I still added a bit of soy sauce. The cilantro in it was good, but it had the obvious frozen cubed carrots and peas added in. I really don't like peas in my fried rice. For the price I would definitely go to Safeway instead.

My husband and have been ordering take out from this restaurant for at least 2 years and never till now how I ever had a complaint. It may seem silly but when we ordered this last time we opened the plastic take out bag and noticed no rice. Not a big deal I know, but when you order Chinese food... What do you expect? Rice. We called to say hey we didn't get any rice in our order and the woman on the other line made my husband sound stupid for asking. Apparently they stopped including rice with your $12 entree in 2013... Uh no. They didn't. Every order until now has included rice. The food is always good so we didn't complain or argue. Thanks for the complimentary spring rolls but I rather have a side of starchy goodness than a mediocre soggy roll of bean threads. Probably our last time ordering from them.

So I called for a delivery order a few days ago. The food arrived fast and hot! Honestly for the price I expected OK food. What I got was really great food. So today I stopped on my way home to order "ToGo" The restaurant was clean and nice. The service was very polite and friendly. And once again the food was great! Good Chinese food is hard to come by in Everett. I like Beijing Garden and I will back again and again... When I am not having it delivered!

I have to say that I don't think the place was as amazing as most of the reviews, but it was good. he menu said new management,. so i don't know if ownership may have changed. Service was both fast and friendly, and the price was very good as well. The hot and sour soup was an A+, but the Mongolian Beef was just average. The egg-roll was tasty and you get two big scoops of rice with the lunch special. The menu has a lot of options and I honestly would not hesitate to return. The place had great promise and Chinese restaurants have so many tempting items that you have to give any place with promise at least a second look.

The egg flower soup was good but the cashew chicken was way too sweet and salty. The fried rice was nasty. Too bad, I had such high hopes.

Just ordered with these guys based on their good Yelp reviews. Was looking for a good restaurant, as I usually order from Peking Duck because its close. This place blows Peking Duck out of the water. I'm a sucker for won ton soup... I usually make a meal out of it, ordering a big portion and adding rice to it once I eat all of the won tons. This place has the best wonton soup i've ever had. It tastes like a good home made chicken noodle soup. It contains shredded chicken, beef AND prawns, as well as a medley of good fresh veggies. Fairly fast delivery as well, no 2 hour wait. Also should mention they deliver the soup in heavy duty plastic sealed containers, not flimsy styrofoam(like Peking Duck does, and i've had them burst on me before, spilling soup everywhere). The large portion is TWO large plastic containers. Really good deal for what you get. A+ from me. Edit: My boyfriend also ordered Phad Thai, and said it was excellent. He liked the thickness of the noodles. I was also happy that they offer brown rice.

I went on a Sunday and I think maybe they were having an off day. My wife says it is better during the week. Service was slow but I think the waitress was trying to eat lunch. Our fried tofu appetizer was very good. The hot and sour soup tasted OK but was tepid. I prefer soup to be hot. My wife's honey walnut prawns were doughy and not cooked enough. She removed the breading. My string beans and prawns were delicious and the amount of prawns was generous for the price. I'd like to give 2.5 stars but based on the generous amount of prawns I'll go for 3 stars. I do want to try it again.

Love it! The sizzling rice soup had non- frozen veggies!! It was delicious! We had the sizzling platter with shrimp and scallops, honey chicken, and general tso chicken and everything was wonderful. The waitress was really sweet to my grumpy 5 yr old and brought him extra cherries for his drink. He declared it delicious. We will definitely be back.

Ordered delivery, very prompt and courteous. The potstickers and spring rolls were tasty. I was not impressed at all with the Honey Walnut Prawns. The batter on the prawns was thick and the very very very neon yellow sauce was so thick and tasted mostly of mayonnaise. I attempted to eat 2 prawns, after scraping the sauce off, but ended up chucking the prawns in the trash. It was the kind of thick cloying sweetness that makes your teeth hurt. I will try the restaurant again, but maybe try the lo mein or egg foo young...nothing crazy!

Excellent food!! The prices are very reasonable and the service is good and fast. The parking situation is a little weird, not many spaces and kind of strange but inside it's all good.

My husband and I ordered from this location once just after moving to Everett. The quality of the food was fine though we ordered three rices and only got 2 plus a soup that we did not order. Their Mongolian Beef was a bit spicier than most and a bit too spicy for me but I do not downgrade them for that; some may even like that fact. What I do downgrade them for are these two things: One, after an hour, my husband called to see when we could expect our food. The woman who answer the phone shouted at him (I could hear her myself) "It is on its way" and hung up. Then, when the delivery guy arrived he thought it was apparently a good idea to knock on our window with his flashlight (it was dark out) scary me and my sister-in-law half to death. Why he didn't just ring the doorbell or knock I have no idea. Even thought the food was good, the wait time and lack of courtesy from those who work there will likely cause us to not order from them again.

Not usually a huge fan of Chinese food, but this place has me well on my way to changing my mind. Everything's fresh, very flavorful and generously portioned. Definitely try the Hot and Sour soup, some of the best I've ever had. The dinner combinations are huuuuuuge, and almost everything in them is substitutable:) all in all a very positive experience!

Ive been here 4-5 times now but i cannot attest to the menu as a whole because I always get the same thing, the Chicken Pad Thai which is the best ive found in the area, its not life changing but for the price you get a nice amount of food and it satisfies my craving

Yum! Yum! Yum! House Wonton Soup is a must for any visit I make and really could be a meal in itself! For $5 the small is a huge serving and could be shared. My partner (in crime and shenanigans) had the hot n' sour soup and really enjoyed it, once again small size is huge for both! Mongolian Beef at 3-stars is packed with flavor and punch. It's fried and not real saucy but very tasty! Pow-pow! Almond Fried Chicken is not that exciting, while the portion is huge the chicken and fried breading was really bland and sauce was not real flavorful (but orange in color) and sprinkled with chopped peanuts. Not sure I'd suggest but others seem to really like it. Friendly service and hard working folks. Always a few other couples/families dining in and lots of foot traffic coming in to pick up takeout orders. Seems to be lots of regulars based on conversations between patrons and staff.

Typical Chinese take out. I was able to order delivery and pay right from my Yelp app. I had an order of Shrimp Fried Rice with an order of Kung Pao Shrimp (huge Shrimp and the sauce was perfect) and an order of Broccoli with Beef and they gave me three egg rolls for free with my yelp purchase. I was able to eat five plates before tossing the rest out after the third day. The prices are reasonable as well.

This is the best overall chinese food in Everett. We had Mongolian Beef, Generals, and Almond Chicken. All were very good. The restaurant is much bigger and nicer than it seems from the street. The staff was courteous and just attentive enough. The prices were slightly higher, but the overall quality was as well. There is more (but not enough) parking in back. You should try it.

So after reading the reviews and with a craving for Chinese food, I tried Beijing Garden. I admit I have passed this place 100 times and wondered if it was any good. Pro's - nice decor, clean and friendly staff. The Lo Mein, Hot & Sour as well as Egg Drop soups were very good. Cons- the fried rice was paste like and bland. The Almond Chicken was good but coated in a strange orangey sauce that took away some of the flavor of the chicken. Overall, a decent meal for a good price.

Beijing Garden is back! After a bumpy patch right after they were recently sold to another family, the food and service have improved, and we have eaten there so often that the owner recognizes us when we stop by. Lunch is an especially good deal - you can easily afford an actual sit down meal for what it would cost to eat at a chain fast food place. The portions are large, attractive, and tasty. Service is relatively fast, but parking can be an issue during the lunch rush. Most other times it is just fine, though. I was skeptical that they were going to be able to recover, but in all marks they have far exceeded my expectations. Nice job, folks!

This place is amazing, especially for lunch time! I work just down the road and come to Beijing during my lunch. Their service is always very quick and their restaurant is always clean. Their staff is friendly too. Their lunch portions are HUGE and cheap! I usually order the orange chicken. I get a huge serving of that, with a lil salad, tea, rice, and I believe 2 potstickers all of about $8. It's crazy! And delicious. This place is highly recommended! Sometimes their check out service can be a little slow, but that's usually because they're in the back cooking the food.

I am so sad. My favorite Chinese restaurant, Beijing Garden is no more. Well the building is still there but that's about it. As soon as I saw the new pink menus I knew something was wrong. Ate there just last night (10/17) for the first time this fall had my favorite combo #4. The new owners raised the price, reduced the size of the dish and lowered the quality. What was the best Mongolian beef I've ever had (even better than mine) has been reduced to this sweet foul tasting goo. The SS soup is no where near the same, the egg roll & shrimp were about the same but the fried rice was dried out and hard. One thing I noticed while waiting was this grade school age Asian girl taking 'to go' orders over the phone. She reminded me of the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. Instead of, 'what would you like?' it was, 'what do you want' and other questionable phone manners. Now I realize this is a child and I'm not berating her. But I am calling out the owners and/or management. Heard of child labor laws? I can predict with a high degree of confidence they won't last long

I would highly recommend not ordering for delivery. I have not experienced this restaurant "in house" but the food delivered was horrific. I expressed my concern to the restaurant and their response was to not get it delivered. That the food "sits around." and that they hoped that I would find a "better place." That was the RESTAURANT'S response, The food was cold, not cooked thoroughly, and tough. I would say: there are other and better choices in Everett - and the fact that the restaurant seems unconcerned that a customer had a complaint about the horrible food says much about what your experience might be...do what they suggest: find a better place.

I LOVE Bejing Garden. Pros: Delicious Food Great Sized Portions - Even at lunch (they are huge and include soup and rolls) Friendly Staff Cheap Lunch! 5.95 for a TON of food. You could eat it for lunch for 2 days. Pro and Con - Interior, comfortable, yet dark. Nice dishes and cups. The floors are uneven and a little sketchy and the carpet is gross. If I stand in one spot for to long I LITERALLY stick to the carpet. YUCK. Cons: Parking Location Menu - When I try to order dinner here, I like what I like (chicken chow mein with fried rice) they always say "well we have chicken chow mein with sweet and sour pork" well I dont want that, I want just chicken chow mein. They always make a huge deal about it but then give me what I ask for anyhow so I guess the are combative at first and then accommodating. Price - for 3 people to eat it was almost $40 when I picked it up and on a debit card receipt they dont give you a breakdown. I didnt day anything because I wanted to get out of there but I will watch it next time. All in all a great place to eat. The food is delicous is what it comes down to. You just have toi accept and take everything else in. Good Luck!

High praise from many but then some of the reviews are years old. It was MEDIOCRE. I long for a place in Everett that has wonderful Asian food. Beijing Garden is close by(great!) but it isn't all that.

Just tried placing an order for delivery and was told that I need to order $40 worth of food or pay a $30 delivery fee. That is absolutely ridiculous. I live 4.6 miles away from the restaurant. Not only that, but the woman taking my order was extremely rude and short with me and cut me off multiple times. Don't waste your time with this place.

We found this place by reading the great reviews, and thank goodness for that because if we were to drive by I would probably never give this place a chance. It looks like a hole in the wall to be honest, but the food is AMAZING. We ordered take out and got the full deal, Hot and Sour Soup - awesome, along with 5 other main dishes that were equally delightful. It didn't have that super ew grease that some take out Chinese has. It was flavorful and delicious, I highly recommend this place. Great as left overs as well. And who doesn't like left over Chinese? :) #nomnomnom

Was passing thru Mukilteo on a family trip, and was jonesing for some Chinese food. Found this place rated highly on Yelp, and it did not disappoint. Staff was friendly and courteous, prices were air and dishes were enormous! Especially good was the Sizzling Rice Soup, the Roasted Duck and the Chili Green Beans. Will mos def go back if I'm ever in this neck of the woods.

I really dig the broccoli beef here - loaded with garlic. Came here on a quiet weeknight - place was empty. Parking lot along the side of the building is SMALL - don't bring your hummer because you won't get out. Nice room, nice people, quick service. Ordered the General's chicken (nice sauce but DRY chicken - need to figure out what day they get fresh chicken) and chow mein (very good, everything cut to proper size). But the real killer for me was the broccoli beef - wow, I had to stop myself half way through and take the rest home otherwise it was going to be "Weebles wobble but they don't fall down" - you know? While I was getting ready to leave, three (!) couples came in within five minutes of each other - apparently this place gets the late crowd (this was around 8:30 PM). From the look of the other diners, they were regulars and 'well fed' at that, you know what I'm saying? Oh yea, fresh orange slices and fresh fortune cookies at the end - awesome! This little place cranks out some pretty good wok food, except for the dry chicken in the Generals chicken. Throw out your day old frozen breaded chicken okay guys? =;^)

I think of Beijing Garden as more of an Asian Fusion restaurant than an authentic Chinese restaurant. Pad Thai is even on the menu. Really? Really?! I went with the #4: Mongolian Beef, Swt & Sour Prawns over Rice. Mongolian Beef was like everything else; deep fried and packed with msg sauce. Same goes with the Swt & Sour Prawns. Too much sauce for a dish like this. Service: Decent. This restaurant is geared more toward the Anglo-American population than the Asian population. Overall: 3 stars. On a brighter note, they do deliver!

They did not even have bok choy. Any reputable Asian restaurant has bok choy! The BBQ fried rice was mediocre. The chow mein was fine. The garlic chicken did not have much of a garlic flavor. The pot stickers were steamed buy they had a pasty, thick after taste. The restaurant was clean and the owners were very friendly.

PLEASE READ THIS!!!! I am so sorry to inform you that this once fine place is under new ownership, and that though we have tried them twice this month to give them a chance, I must sadly revoke my endorsement. The portion sizes have shrunk, the service is unfriendly, do not speak English, and there are a bunch of the owner's children standing around watching you eat. I am not exaggerating. This evening the hot and sour soup was awful, paste like in substance and bland,. The mongolian beef was good enough, but nothing special and small in portion. The deep fried almond chicken was metallic and rubbery, cold and had a slimy consistancy...frankly not fit to serve. The appetizer was grey pork (old smelling and tasteing) and the egg rolls were just ok. The sweet and sour sauce was so thick and cold that I turned the dish upside down and it stuck to it. We were the only ones in the restaurant, and there was just no reason to be so poorly served in all ways. When I finally called for the absent waitress, and tried to tell her we were unable to eat HALF of our meal due to quality and the fact that the chicken was not fit to be served, and she still asked if I wanted to take it home, and handed me a full price check. Needless to say I am not happy, and I will never EVER go here again.

This is an excellent, if small, casual chinese place. They are fast, clean, love children, have great prices, and very friendly wait staff. The food is a step above any other Chinese place in Everett and on par with the better (and much more expensive places) in King county. Been here dozens of time and will continue to return. --- My standard rating disclaimer: I rate places as compared to other similar places. In other words a hot dog cart or taco stand can easily be five-stars when compared to other carts and stands.

Well you might call this a Yelp Success Story. I looked on Yelp for a good Chinese restaurant a few months ago and saw rave reviews for Beijing Garden. I went there with a friend and we both ordered different meals. Mine was General Tsao Chicken. I forget what my friend ordered. We both asked for no spice and our meals both came out pretty spicey. I was turned off by this, even though the meal itself was good overall. Because Yelpers gave it such high ratings, I went back again and made it a point to tell them ABSOLUTELY NO SPICE. Both meals were perfect this time. Very reasonable and great tasting. Since then, I have been back a few times and have always had great meals. I even encouraged my friend to go back and they agreed that as long as you make it clear to keep the spice out (if that is your thing), then the food is excellent. For Chinese Food in Everett, they are the best I have had so far.

OK, husband out of town and I wanted Chinese for lunch. Gave this place one more try. Definitely will NOT go back. Ordered the lunch of chicken and green beans with hot and sour soup. Soup was not hot and not really cold.........maybe body temperature at best. When my food arrived there was absolutely NOTHING in this meal that was even remotely HOT. Flavors are good but the food's temperature is a complete turn-off. Again, warmish at best and some of the beans and chicken were actually cold. Like they just came out of the refer. Most definitely NOT.

I went here today with my wife, for lunch. What a disappointment. I really like Chinese food and went here based on the high ratings in Yelp that it received. First off, parking sucks. This place is small and there are very few spots. When we walked in there was nobody to seat us for several minutes. There are very few tables so I guess the place could be considered to be full when we arrived. When we were seated it took them a while to get to us. Our food was delivered and the pop's we ordered did not arrive for several more minutes. I ordered the Mongolian beef that I have been eating, not here though, since the mid 80's at various places. The meat arrived all grey looking and bland like meet advertised in those Albertsons ads. There was no indication that this meat was cooked in a sizzling hot wok. It appeared more like it had been microwaved and had more fat that I was comfortable eating. Literally all of our food was luke warm at best. The flavor of my beef was bland. I did like the fried rice but only because I coated it with the chili paste they had. We had to ask for tea. Service was spotty at best. All of our food was luke warm. I left a measly $2 dollar tip for both of our lunches. I always tip 20 percent or more but I almost didn't tip anything here. That is how bad I thought it was. I will not be back and I certainly don't understand the high ratings others have given this place. I prefer the Hunan palace in Everett for my Mongolian beef. It was obvious that they didn't have enough people to properly serve us. We left most of the food on the plates and didn't even bother to bring it home. I will never eat here again.

The inside needs major improvement. With pergo flooring on half and worn stained carpet on the other half of the floor. We were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. The first item to the table was water, no ice, in what appeared to be glasses right out of the 70's. Tea followed, light tanned hot water that tasted like oranges not tea. We ordered the deep fries prawns, sweet and sour chicken, sweet and sour pork, fried won ton's and pork fried rice. Everything was completely bland, all was dipped in the same batter. I could literally squeeze the grease from the batter it was so deeply fried. The won ton's, that are customarily served with pork inside didn't have anything in them. It was the same batter deep fried with nothing in it. I peeled the batter from the prawn and found a shriveled up chunk of meat, obviously frozen and fried. The chicken and pork were little tiny chunks of what appeared to be meat but without flavor. You can't taste the difference between the pork or chicken. The bill came with fortune cookies, but the slices of oranges? That was confusing. Go ahead and give this place a try, I invite anyone to taste for themselves. If you like deep fried batter and unseasoned specks of meat then this place is right up your alley. Me? I'd go a few blocks north to the Bento Factory, now there's some tasty food.

I work right up the street so I just order and bring it home for the family. We all love the food. The green beans with tofu are the best I've had, the crab rangoon is insane, the general tso's chicken is pretty good and so is the broccoli beef. The more you spend the more you get for free, we usually get egg rolls and chow mein thrown in. GOOD STUFF!!!!

Wow... Yelpers were right about the food here! Parking was a challenge, but a cozy little place and friendly staff. I was seated quickly and ordered the Special of the Day, which happened to be the Basil Chicken. It came with Hot & Sour soup, Fried Rice, Spring Roll, & tea. The soup was delish. The typical combo plating, I started in on the Spring Roll. Not that great. I only had one bite and was hoping for a little more substance. The Fried Rice was next, & as it appeared, it also tasted dry and lacked moisture. This could be due to them using two different types of rice & one wasn't cooked enough & thus chewy. The main entre' was were it was at. I could eat a whole plate of the Basil Chicken! Extremely tasty & the basil & subtle spice was superb! All of this including tax & tip was $8.00. Overall rating: Ambiance - 3.5/5 Staff - 4/5 Food - 4/5 Price - 5/5

If this is the "best" Chinese cuisine in the whole city of Everett, then I am DEEPLY saddened! This is one of those places I tried due to it's proximity to my living quarters and based on the glowing reviews from the other posters here on Yelp. Maybe it was an off day in the kitchen? Maybe I ordered the wrong dish? Maybe my taste buds are a little off today? Whatever the case, my order of Mongolian Beef lunch special was very VERY reasonably priced at 5.50. I wanted to order something atypical because if you can't get the basics right then it doesn't equal a great all around experience in my opinion. The service was lightning fast, one star for that. My food was ready within 6 minutes, one star for that. The restaurant is tiny but inviting, and the service was certainly friendly. The food, praised highly by other Yelpers here, however, left A LOT to be desired. Spring roll was pretty flavorless, and was full of cabbage and scallion and little else. Meh. The hot and sour soup I ordered looked promising- It resembled my favorite Chinese restaurant in Terraces' hot and sour almost to a T. The hot spicy sour flavor, however, was strangely absent. As a matter of fact, it didn't taste like much at all. It was bland. I added some soy sauce, a LOT of soy sauce, and it did little to help. The fried rice that came with the meal was rice only. No egg. No carrot. No peas. No meat. No scallion. Nothing but fried brownish looking rice. And it smelled and tasted of old cooking oil. FAIL. The Mongolian beef was on par with the caliber, texture, and flavor of the heat-lamp Mongolian beef at Safeway up the street from my house. It was EXTREMELY salty, a stark contrast from the soup. Nothing wrong with that, if you like soft, jelly-like masses of gooey over-salted under spicy beef. I like my beef to have texture, personally. My grandma, who wore dentures for a large part of her life, would certainly have loved this Mongolian beef, as it took little to no mastication to get it to melt apart in my mouth. If I had paid the full entree price of $9.50 cents for this, I would have been absolutely livid. But since it was lunch, the bill was only 5.50. I felt like I was eating last night's leftovers. You may like Chinese food like this. Nothing wrong with that, but I have had good and bad Chinese food all over the country and Beijing Garden came up severely lacking. There are MUCH better choices a little farther south if one is willing to drive a little farther (which I DEFINITELY am). Yelp, I'm sorry, but you have steered your girl Nina way wrong with this pick! :-( I may or may not come back. I really don't know- They do deliver and they are somewhat close by.

Beijing Garden is a definite "don't judge a book by its cover" kinda restaurant. Its boxy beige bland easy-to-miss exterior on busy Rucker belies an understated elegant interior and some pretty darned good food. Definitely my favorite Chinese food* in Everett. BTW -- My standards for a 5-star are pretty tough... to get a 4-star's still pretty darned good. *Hot n Sour Soup: appropriately tangy/smoky -- too good to make it into the "doggie bag" *Spring Rolls: spring-rolly as expected (they're hubby's must-order just as mine is hot n sour soup) *Pad Thai: ok, not surprising given it's not a Thai restaurant; Thai Gusto's not surprisingly is much better... lighter and more flavorful *Other stuff... good! we ordered a veggie dish with crispy snap peas, mushrooms, baby corn, water chestnuts (Happy Family? -- misplaced my notes and it's been just a little too long....) Service was prompt and professional, though not as warm as at Lilly's Garden*. Prices were affordable, especially for Everett, which is still more expensive than Portland-Vancouver for similar volume/quality in most cases. A table away, they ordered a flaming/sizzling dish nearly the size of a football that looked and smelled delish. Would definitely give that a go when we return. *To my surprise, my husband prefers Lilly's Garden, also good, but much blander fare in my book (that review's getting posted next). He compared them to Jade Monkey where its unclean interior convinced him to opt out altogether, "below average."

Yes! I finally found a vegetarian-friendly Chinese place in Everett! I took the kids here and asked for vegetarian food. The lady at the cash register was really nice and she *understood* what we meant. There was no language or cultural barrier. She explained what could be made without fish or oyster sauce (many places we've gone to don't understand that vegetarian means "no seafood" too.) She even came out to check that my daughter was okay with eggs in her egg foo young. :) The food was delicious, maybe a little oily, but tasty! We will be back for more.

I love lunch at Beijing Garden. It is crazy cheap for the HUGE portions and I could eat their hot and sour soup every day and never get bored with it. The owners and rest of the staff are very friendly. I really only come here for lunch since its so cheap. Their dinner menu is pretty comparable to other Chinese restaurants as far as selection and price. Definitely the best Chinese restaurant in Everett and honestly I have yet to find a better one in the surrounding area.

Best vegetarian Chinese EVER. Their "sizzling vegetable w/ bean curd" is to die for, and their veggie chow mein is absolute perfection. The veggies are never overcooked, Sue is the sweetest host, the service is kind and fast, and the prices are more than fair for the serving size. Can't be beat!

Fresh, flavorful Chinese food in an old-school Chinese restaurant atmosphere; this place is as good as it gets. Bar none. The list of "family style" dinners for two provide enough variety that you're absolutely assured of getting all your favorites by ordering one of them. The egg rolls were fried to perfection and very fresh and delicious. The BBQ pork was moist and served slightly warm - which only improves it's flavor. (Why do these places always serve ice cold little slabs of BBQ Pork? It's insane. Our waitfress was quick and efficient. Every entre was cookied to perfection; the vegetables firm and crisp, retaining every bit of flavor. We added an order of deep fried prawns and they were absolutely the best I've ever had. Not greasy at all; the batter cooked to a golden brown and interestingly, cooked "by twos" so it almost looks like they split the prawn to make a "circle" out of it - but its two full prawns under that delightfully light and flavorful batter! Stunning prawns. Absolutely stunning. The restaurant building itself is a relic from a by-gone era - which only makes the place more charming - and the decor is distinctly "Chinese restaurant" from the prints on the wall, to those lanterns they always have hanging about. They've got the a-typical big fish tank in the entryway. The dining room is a very warm and inviting space. I'm looking forward to a warm summer night and taking a table next to the big front "diner-like" windows. Yes: absolutely worthy of Five stars!

I'm not really into Chinese food, but my boyfriend wouldn't stop talking about Beijing Garden. To shut him up, I gave in and pretended like I really wanted to go. When I walked in, I was impressed by the cleanliness and nice decor in this small restaurant. The people were super nice and friendly. Here is what we ordered: - Sweet and Sour Pork- Perfectly crispy and not greasy -Beef with Spicy Szechuan Sauce- Delicious flavor -Sauteed Prawn and Scallop Sizzling Platter- The winner of the night! Great peppery flavor and loaded with seafood and fresh veggies. The scallops were perfect cooked. Guess I don't have to fake excitement over going here again!

Ok so the delivery was quick, about the best thing said here. The pork was raw and they overcharged me. A phone call led to "there is no manager here" leading to forgetting English and hanging up on me. Don't bother with these people!

My husband and I went here for dinner last night. The place was smaller than expected, but very clean and nicely decorated. The service was prompt and friendly and the appetizer's and soup were really good (hot and sour soup...so YUM). I ordered the #4, which was the mongolian beef and sweet and sour prawns and my husband ordered a #3, which was the boccoli beef (I think?) and the sweet and sour pork. My food came out first (about five min. before my husbands) and was just barely warm, but very good. In the past when I've ordered the Mongolian Beef it's been very oily, but that was not the case here. My husband loved his dish and said it was very tasty. We will definitely be going back for more! :)

I work nearby as a driver and I pass by here a lot and always wondered how the food was. I stopped by last night for dinner with a friend and had crab rangoon and honey walnut prawns. It was delicious! I've always like honey walnut prawns but I loved it here. Definitely going to stop by here again.

We ordered individual dinners (#'s 2 and 4) for takeout tonight and the fortune cookies were delicious. The soup for starters was as tasteless as water and the texture was bland, too. The Mongolian beef was not bad, but the portion was huge which made me nervous about the grade of beef used. No flavor to the chow mein. BUT THE WORST??... Based on previous reviews: what is the deal with their poor treatment for takeout? We tried to call and couldn't get though. Had to order online. And all that we got which was breaded was underdone. We live in Mukilteo, so we couldn't take it back. We should have, for a full refund. There is nothing like overbreaded and underdone! Just awful. The shrimp was halved down the middle to make a ring and then breaded. It was ALL breading! The chicken was the same. If you like a lot of breading--cool. But at least cook it to crispiness. It was like rubbery shrimp and chicken-flavored French bread. We were looking forward to something as good as Chan's Place in Woodinville, or Taster's Wok. Our first and, unfortunately--our last visit.

I worked in Everett for 13 years and tried just about every Chinese restaurant. All were mediocre until I tried the Beijing Garden. I was visiting a friend, Larry, who was working next door at Hatloes when I first discovered Beijing Garden. At that time is was only open for about 6 months. Being curious I gave it a try. The food was excellent (and so was the service!) I'm picky about Chinese food and have only discovered two really good Chinese restaurants between Richmond, BC and Seattle and Beijing Garden is one of them. The other is the Golden House in Mukilteo. My wife is half Chinese and before moving to Washington I lived near a large Chinese community were there was lots of really good Chinese restaurants. The competition between Chinese restaurants was so fierce that if the restaurant wasn't excellent it would disappear Darwinian style. So I'm use to eating at great Chinese restaurants were most the clientèle are Chinese. Highly recommended! -------------------------------- Taste: 5.0/5.0 Selection: 5.0/5.0 Serving Size: 5.0/5.0 Service: 5.0/5.0 Price: 5.0/5.0 Atmosphere:4.5/5.0 Parking: 3.0/5.0 -------------------------------

I'm giving Bejing Garden five stars based on all the other Chinese restaurants I've been to since moving to this area almost two years ago. It's the best around by far. It's easy to dismiss it as you drive by as it looks like a dive on the outside. We only sought it out because of the reviews here on Yelp and even then we were a little unsure walking in. But the interior with it's peaceful aquarium and marble top tables make you feel like you are in a more up-scale place. The food was excellent. My only complaint is that I stupidly ordered the Mongolian Chicken without realizing it was a spicy dish. It was marked in the menu as hot - I just somehow missed it. So it was a little too spicy for me but I could tell that the quality and preparation were top notch. We were there at an odd hour - 4:00 on a Saturday - so we had the place almost entirely to ourselves. The staff was prompt and very friendly. They asked us about our evening plans and when we told them where we were headed next, they gave us a few pointers on where to park. Our waiter even told us, "Oh, you need to leave soon if you want to find parking. I'll hurry with your check." We didn't think we were cutting things close but he was very sweetly concerned for us. As we left, the place was filling up with dinner customers and the parking lot was packed so it's a popular local spot. This has definitely become our new favorite Chinese restaurant. Thanks, Yelpers!!

Easily the best Chinese restuarant in Everett. Their Sesame and General Tso's Chicken is wonderful. Nothing is over cooked and you get free egg rolls. Quick delivery too. The hot and sour soup is great as well.

Extremely pleased with everything in the #1 Family meal: Spring Rolls, Pork Cutlet, Wanton soup, Almond Chicken, Mongolian Beef. Not spicy, but great flavor. I add my own spice so no problem there. This is supposed to be for two, but will easily feed 4+. They get lots of patrons...for good reason. Nice to have great quality Chinese in Downtown Everett!

If you like..... Slow and crappy service, and bland, cold food brought to you out of order you will love this place long time. My friend and I found this place on Urban Spoon. I'll never attend this place again for the basic reasons of the servers knew not how to create a flow, and it made me wonder if they were trying to make their jobs just that much harder as a result. For example, we received menus and didn't receive any water for the first ten min. Once we asked for water we had to wait for another ten minutes for it to arrive on the table. I had to stop the waitress from walking away so that my friend and I could place our order. The forgetful nature persisted as if she was a chicken running around with her head cut off. My friend put her water glass at the end of the table hoping that the waitress would notice. The waitress went around the room with a pitcher, and then came to ask us how our appetizers were, not to give us water while she was carrying it and we both had empty glasses. The food was under par. My Mongolian beef was marked with a spicy icon but it was cold, not spicy. The fried rice was bland. I did appreciate the fact that the tails on my shrimp were already removed for my walnut shrimp. But there was once problem I hadn't even received my soup yet. So there I was with a cold plate of food, and being told my soup would be there in a moment. My friend asked her to just wait til we had finished. My friend also adds that her sweet and sour pork was disappointing. And that her food was also cold. So we opted to leave and heat the food back at her place. We asked for the check and boxes. The waitress leaves and then comes back to ask us if we wanted her to box it up. She left again without the plates. She returned asking for the plates. I smiled and said I would box my own food. The waitress comes back and asks how we want the check. She leaves to return with my box, excusing herself again. Upon her return she had my friends food, still no check, but she asked if we wanted a bag. We replied with a yes please, and started laughing once she left because she was just going to the back and the returning to our table, yet it wasn't immediately. We could see some other customers started to get upset. A man went so far to wave his arms as if he was castaway at an island, and was trying to signal a plane, to no avail. She came back with a bag and with and put everything together and then said, "thank you for coming to Beijing Gardens, have a nice day". We still hadn't paid and couldn't tell her so since she sprinted back behind the curtain. My friend and I looked at each other and said okay, walking tor wards the door. We were half way across the parking lot of the store next door before she came out. So of course we went back in to pay. She offered us fortune cookies with oranges with no check. My friend handed her debit card to the waitress.

I was staying in Seattle but came to Everett to go to a friend's tattoo shop. I was there about an hour early and hungry. This place was the closest and i love chinese food so i decided why not. I had mongolian tofu and it came with soup, egg roll, and chow mein noodles. The tofu was perfectly crisp the entire time, the green onions added a nice flavor. This was my most favorite meal my entire visit to Washington. I can't wait to go back.

I turned to Yelp for Chinese food recommendations in Everett and this restaurant stood out. My BF is from Vancouver, BC and they have excellent Chinese food up there, so he's a tough critic. Overall, we're both pleased with the food, the amount of food, the price and the customer service. We'll definitely be back. 3 stars due to the spring rolls and pork dish (read below for full review). Delivery: Although they said "yes" when I asked if they deliver, when I began to rattle off my address, the gal who answered the phone said they don't deliver that far (I'm 6 miles from the restaurant, near Mariner HS.) Ordering: We decided to place an order for pickup, and without a menu, I just started mentioning stuff we knew we wanted: sweet-and-sour pork, spring rolls and beef chow mein. I told her I wanted a chicken dish and asked what her favorite is: she said General Tso and Chicken with Green Beans are her favs. I didn't want another fried dish and wanted a veggie dish - so the chicken with green beans fit the bill. Pickup: It only took us about 15mins to drive to the restaurant, and the food was ready and bagged up for us when we arrived. Ambience: The restaurant was EMPTY at 830p on Sat night except 1 table with customers. Other than that, the restaurant looked clean and very inviting. Would like to eat-in next time to checkout the service. Total: $29 and change. Food: We have mixed reviews for the food. Spring rolls: 1 star - VERY greasy. I took one bite and didn't like them at all. The filling was flavorless and stringy. BF said they look/tasted exactly like the Costco spring rolls. I think we got 5 or 6 rolls with our order, we tossed out the rest. Just couldn't eat them. Sweet-and-Sour Pork: 2 stars - Our to-go order gave us the sauce in one container and the pork in another. I'm not sure if that's how it's served in the restaurant, but we liked being able to spoon the sauce over our rice and pork as we wished. The sauce is good: nice mix of sweet and sour, but the pork was not tasty. Bites of pork were either too fatty or too tough. Beef Chow Mein: 4 stars - THIS DISH IS OUTSTANDING. The noodles are delicious, the beef was cooked to perfection. There are little slices of sauteed garlic as well. Just a great dish done extremely well. Chicken with Green Beans: 4 stars - ANOTHER OUTSTANDING DISH. The green beans were a bit spicy which added a nice kick to the dish, they were cooked very well, while maintaining their crunch. The chicken was very moist, tender and cooked nicely. Nit-picks: We were not offered chopsticks (had to ask) and we were not given a to go menu with our order. Doesn't everyone provide a to go menu with their to go orders?

This place is delicious. Make sure you close your menu or they think you're still looking. But once they take your order, your soup comes out,and they fill up your Lil' Jon goblets. I had a #1 and my date had a #2. Both were super awesome. We also enjoyed the sign that read "Cautious. Uneven Floor." We were very cautious at that point. Great food great service!

I still love this place. Tonight I had a major craving for black pepper beef so I called up Beijing Garden, and even though it isn't even on their menu, they had no problem making it for me anyway. Delivery times are always very reasonable, and the portions are massive. I usually get 1 order of chow mein and one entrée (ends up around $20 after tax), and it typically lasts me 4-5 large meals. oretty much everything comes in 32oz portions.. for the mathematically-challenged out there, thats a lot of effin' food.

This place was a great date-night discovery. My husband and I have tried too many Everett area Chinese restaurants searching for one that would not only have good service, but one that (more importantly) could somehow produce Chinese foods that weren't over-run with grease. Their deep fried prawns are light and crunchy. Their sizzling rice soup is fantastic! What we've been most delighted to discover is their stir-fried Almond Chicken. It's AWESOME with fresh crunchy veggies, not heavy or greasy at all and with just the right amount of almonds. It reminds me of my favorite dish from an out of state Chinese restaurant near where I grew up, the likes of which I hadn't found in Western Washington until we tried Beijing Garden. The gravy-covered 'Almond Chicken' concoction found in most Northwest Chinese restaurants (at least it's been in all of them we've over the past 15 years here) isn't even on the menu down there, and the lighter tasting stir fried bounty offered down there isn't typically on menus here. Really...some foods are better WITHOUT gravy. Enough of an anti-gravy rant... The service is consistently good. The restaurant is well maintained on the inside and appears clean. The only downside we've found so far is the parking lot, however there is parking on three sides of the building, and it seems to be ample considering the size of the restaurant. Aside from the parking, they do accommodate large parties very well. They are good with kids, and we see them set up high chairs with drop cloths underneath, which is brilliant and rarely done in restaurants. Last but not least...our son has an anaphylactic peanut allergy and the chef has been very accommodating on the occasions we've brought him along. This is not a place you need to fear trying new things.

Given the previous 5 star reviews I was really hoping I had found that great place for Chinese takeout. Sadly, I found it to be just as average as every place else I've visited in the Everett area. We tried the almond fried chicken, mu shoo pork, orange peel beef and fried rice. Also got the bbq pork appetizer. All of the food was freshly prepared and tasted fine - it just wasn't a cut above. Oh, we did get some unordered spring rolls. I don't know if that was an accident or a freebie from the owner, but they were actually a little better than most (not as greasy and nice helping of meat mixed with the cabbage). So - we'll probably go back but still searching for a great Chinese restaurant.

Hmm, I was a little disappointed considering the other reviews. The place is clean and the server was present. I dont eat seafood but I ordered my husband the crab rangoon since someone said it was good, he said he liked it. I ordered the mongolian beef with noodles ($1.00 extra for noodles) and.my husband ordered the generals tsos chicken with fried rice, we both ordered hot and sour soup. Our food came and I tried my husband chicken, I thought the sauce was a little intense but ok. The chicken is the type that's breaded and deep fried so the breading is hard then they toss it with the sauce, which was ok -slightly on the strong side. I prefer the softer style batter for my generals chicken. I thought the fried rice was dry and lacked flavor. My mongolian beef was ok, I paid a dollar extra for "noodles" which I assumed was chow mein, it was noodles, as in spaghetti noodles under the beef. The beef itself was pretty good, tender and lean. After a couple minutes I realized we never got our soup so had to call the waiter back. The soup was the right amount of hot and sour for my taste but it tasted watery to me, like they used water instead of chicken stock. All in all it wasn't BAD but I've had better. (If you like Mongolian Beet and chow mein, the best I've had in this area is at the Fortune Cookie in Bothell but I can't recommend anything else there.) The service here was friendly, the portions were good size and the restaurant was clean. My husband said while he didn't care for his lunch, he would try them again. I think I'll keep looking.

Would not rate it as "the best" chinese in Everett, but it was definitely acceptable. Did a search for "best chinese in Everett" and this place came up on top of list. It was good, charming atmosphere. Server was a little stand-offish at first but warmed up as meal went on. Would return to try other items though.

Stopped in when another restaurant was closed. Boy was I glad I did. Very comfortable place, Was by myself so I only had an appetizer and one dish with rice. I asked for 3 stars, and it was cooked perfectly. Vegetables were crisp, and the chcken was abundant and flavorful. I eat Asian food a lot, and this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Service was attentive and quite pleasant. I live in Seattle, so I don't get up this way a lot. Wish I did!

I've been visiting this place every week for about 6 months after a friend and I discovered this gem after reading a review by Anna Poole in the Everett Herald. The servers are uber friendly and the food cheap and excellent. Everything is always nice and clean. Lunch is only $5.50! Try the bacon fried rice sometime! I take everyone here who pays me a visit and wants some Chinese and it's always a big hit!

My coworkers and I frequent this restaurant on a regular basis. Our nickname for this is "cheap Chinese". The food is more than adequate and the price is very reasonable. We love it.

Possibly the best chinese food this side of the Mississippi. Garlic chicken is exquisite. The fried rice is great. Even the vegetables taste good, and I hate those damn vegetables. You know its good chinese food when it taste good the next day.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
