BE WARNED: CREPES ARE ONLY ON THE WEEKENDS! I came here on a Thursday so excited to have crepes for breakfast all to find out they are only served on the weekend; and we are only staying til Friday. I was highly disappointed with their advertising of crepes if they only have them 2 days out of the week. To my dismay, their lox and cream cheese bagel was great and well priced, had to have breakfast after all.
I love their milk alternatives! Almond, soy, rice, oat, coconut or hemp. I love the locally brewed chai, which can either be caffeinated or decaf (roiboos). Lots of gluten free options! Cookies and biscotti. And the gluten free cookies are lusciously fluffy and soft! Reasonable prices, open until 5pm. Comfy seating and lots of outlet openings. Oh, and easy reliable wifi. Thanks!!!
Love, love, LOVE Enzos! I come here in the summer, hang out, drink lots of strong good coffee and either eat the muesli breakfast or one of their yummy crepes. If you are looking for a local color hit, this is the place to hang as well. Good mix of tourists and locals, chatting it up. Enzo himself is fantastic as well (and tells great stories!). They make their own gelato so don't skip there--Tip: I am one of those people who are annoyed with starbucks watered down short lattes--so there I always get a third shot. If you love strong coffee, this is the place! For even me who triples up at Starbucks, I am just fine with one shot in a short drink in either caffeinated or decaf drinks.

Sue and Carl (from the Otter's Pond B&B) recommended this place to us because the Doe Bay Cafe was already full. My husband wanted to eat some fish and I was graving for some vegetarian food. We had a really nice dinner and our server Laurie was very pleasant. Nice harbour views and a big enough menu to make a choice from. Meat, fish and vegetarian and what I understood, most of it local, fresh and organic if possible. We both started with a French union soup. For my love follewed by one of the specials of the day, halibut with risotto and for me the quinoa with grilled vegetables and a balsamic drizzle. The onion soup was hot and ok. Not very special. The halibut was very nice (I tasted it). The quinoa and vegetables were lacking a little bit of a bite. Don't really know how to put it in English, but I was not very spicy or special. Preparing a tasteful vegetarian meal shouldn't be that difficult. Some more salt of some other spices, or perhaps somewhat of a juice or jus can make a difference. It was now all a little bit to plain. And besides that, the vegetables we're not grilled, but more like steamed. All together, please, a litlle bit more attention to flavouring vegetarian dishes can make the difference. It is not that hard, just enjoy preparing them. We shared that apple-upside-down cake with pecans and pecan-toffee ice-cream. We really enjoyed that. Just like we enjoyed Laurie's jokes about how strange it is to ask for Splenda in you're coffee and ordering such a dessert. Which had probably 1000 kC. Laurie also really tried to sort out the best herbal tea for me. She asked me what I liked (something with hibiscus or rosehip) and returned with a fresh blend that was very nice. And the wines, I started with the Viognier from WA followed by a special Chardonnay that was recommended with the halibut. The Viognier wasn't very special. A little bit plain. We both preferred the Chardonnay. And why just 3 stars and not more? Because of the bill. Knowing we're on a island, having great harbour view and knowing much of the food is organic or locally produced we tought the check was too high. So it's all about value for money. Raise the standards, of lower the checks......... Service was great. We even hope we left enough gratuity (we're Dutch ;)). (Note: I'm not a native speaker so please excuse alle grammar and spelling mistakes.)
We finally woke up early enough and with the energy to go out to breakfast. We have not had the opportunity to eat at the New Leaf in many years. We are so glad we did. I enjoyed the traditional eggs Benedict, my husband had the biscuits & gravy, and our daughter had the Monte Cristo. The local goods coffee was nice and strong and the Fresh squeezed o.j. was excellent!! Perfect poached eggs, the ham was so tasty! the hollandaise sauce was yummy!! My daughter could only get through half of the Monte Cristo, taking the other half home. She better hide it from me!! The biscuits & gravy was massive, two full biscuits with perfectly cooked over medium eggs, house made sausage chunks and a nice amount of gravy. We are lucky to live on Orcas, so we can partake in all it's restaurants. When on Orcas, make sure you stop in for breakfast. Friendly staff and attentive service. Thank you New Leaf!!
A meal on the front porch of this quaint and vintage hotel is a great introduction or finale to a weekend of island relaxation! There is a road in between you and the amazing view of the ocean, but other than that it's easy to forget about civilization. The food is excellent, a bit rich for my taste but that's my problem, not theirs. We all agreed that the duck confit was the winning meal at our table but it was a close call. The service was perfect. On the way to the restroom I walked past the big, gorgeous, wooden bar, and definitely want to come back sometime and sit there!

Beautiful, Quaint, & Cozy Really cute little place with great views of the bay and Indian Island. Everything was lovely. The reason for my 4 stars was two fold- 1) my husband found the bed uncomfortable and 2) at check-in, we were told the breakfast in the am on Mother's day was a special brunch menu- but they also had the early breakfast deal ($7.00). When we went to breakfast- they said it was a holiday (?) and there was no early am deal....wish that had been properly communicated to the hotel staff. Other than that we had a nice mother's day weekend-
The location of the hotel is very convenient. The view was pretty nice, but kind of hidden behind the building surrounding us. The staff and service were very courteous. We did not enjoy how firm and thick the pillow was, it was hurting my back. Also, the hair dryer handle is greasy.. seems that no one has cleaned it since the last user. It made me wonder what else are they not cleaning.
I went during the off season, in January when Eastsound is pretty dead. I'd have to say that's the best time to go, and it's worth sacrificing some sunny summer days in return for wonderful mild, winter ones with no hassle of waiting for ferries. It was the perfect place to do very little than sit around. The rooms are updated and nice (I was in the luxury bay view suite), with beautiful views of the sunrise in the Eastsound bay.

Best lunch in town!! Crab cakes are off the charts, as is the clam linguini! Came back next day had a repeat!!! Go early or you will be turned away or on a list!
Fresh local ingredients that are hard to beat. The salad with crab and marionberry crumble were the standouts.
Staff was awesome and the food just as awesome. Very very fresh and tasted nothing but quality! A little gem on the island for sure! Loved the salt and pepper shaker mills
