We grew up in Cashmere but never are in town when Country Boys are open. Except for tonight! We came in to get take out for dinner at the in-laws. We got there at the busiest time of day ( at least it appeared to be ..6:00). We ordered numerous items and were told it would be about 10 minutes. We went for a stroll and came back after about 12-15 minutes. Apparently the lettuce for the salad we ordered ended up all over the kitchen floor and they had to make a run to get more salad. We were asked if we still wanted the salad or if we wanted to substitute something else so that we didn't have to wait. Since it was the only healthy thing we ordered we decided to wait for the salad. They gave us 4 free pieces of cornbread for the extra wait. ( it ended up being around 1/2 hour total... Oh, and a gift card!). They had heard me say I wanted corn bread but had decided we didn't need it. But wait , that's not the best part... They forgot our coleslaw and potato salad and when we went back to get it they INSISTED on refunding ALL of our money! Now that's customer service!! Incredible! Thank you !! Oh yes, and the food was spectacular !!!!

Went on a white water rafting trip in Cashmere and got there early so I had some time to grab some lunch. Someone recommended the BBQ place in the area. I didn't want a big meal so I ordered the Beef Brisket Sandwich and the Ribbon Fries. The onion bun was toasted exactly right and the BBQ brisket was cooked perfectly. Had a nice smoky taste each bite I took and the BBQ sauce wasn't too overwhelming. Delicious!! The fries could be more compared to thinly sliced potato chips/crisps. Not my type of thing, but maybe I should've asked before ordering. They didn't taste bad, but a little on the greasy side in my opinion. Overall, it was a great experience considering I al really picky about BBQ food. Anyone can BBQ, but it takes effort to cook a mean and flavorful BBQ beef brisket. I would definitely eat here again, if I am in the area. I highly recommend this place for BBQ.

To answer the question: YES it was worth the wait. Heard of this place several years ago but my timing is always off. Missed an opportunity 1-1/2 years ago but today was the day. Wanted to sample everything but that's not possible. Ordered #2 Combo dinner even though it was lunch time. The baby back ribs were thin and a bit dry but nicely sauced. The brisket was tender and tasty as was the chicken thigh. Ordered a Texas Hot Link too. It was not overly spicy nicely smoked but the casing was a little tough. For sides, cornbread which was moist and sweet and then there were the ribbon fries. They were absolutely perfect and exactly how I like my potatoes fried. Essentially a potato chip. So there you have it. Getting there is off my bucket list. Getting back is not and now that I know, I'll have to try harder. :)))

This is arguably the best BBQ in all of Washington state! The ribs are nicely seasoned , a little smoky, slathered in the perfect BBQ sauce, moist, tender and delicious. The cole slaw has the perfect amount of tang and the ribbon fries, which are potato chip like, are addictive. I received excellent service after ordering at the counter and wished I had left a bigger tip! Being able to sit outside in the sunshine just made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Country Boy's BBQ is a great find in Cashmere!

The best BBQ for 100 miles. We love everything they make. The service is spectacular. The location is awesome. The outdoor seating is great. The potato curls are cool. The BBQ pork is made even better by their super amazingly delicious sauce, which they sell in canning jars that you can take home with you!

I was first introduced to this BBQ at a wedding I photographed at the Brown Family Homestead near Leavenworth. At the time, I had no idea who the caterer was and didn't really care. Then I took my first bite and said, "WOW! Who is this caterer"?! Just in case I would forget to ask at the wedding who the caterer was, I made sure I took a photo of the catering van for their contact info. I've uploaded that photo here. Every bite of every dish they had prepared for the wedding was incredible! I overheard many of the guests going on about how incredible the BBQ was during the reception. I wish more couples hired these guys for their wedding!

Best barbecue ever! Always worth the drive to Cashmere. We always get the beef brisket, coleslaw and sometimes cornbread

Got the brisket sandwich and a regular potatoes salad. Brisket tasted like roast beef (not in a good way). Potatoes salad was fine. The real killer was the half dozen flies in the dining area that were harassing everybody. Maybe they will figure out the fly situation in the future but I would recommend staying away from the brisket.

A hidden surprise away away from Seattle. The ribbon fried this absolutely amazing. The brisket is something else. Customer service is wonderful and definitely it's great spot for lunch on the way to all of the local winery. The potato salad is fresh and amazingly rich and buttery, the nice kick from the celery brings out amazing flavor

Country Boys is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere, I just have never found real good BBQ around Seattle. We stop by here every time we go east of the cascades. My favorite is the pulled pork plate with corn bread but everything is pretty good.

Great food, big portions, friendly service, fun atmosphere, clean (even the bathroom) outdoor and indoor seating. The fries are actually chips, hand cut and delicious. Popular local spot, great views! Will eat here again!

Stopped by on our way home from vacation based on the good reviews. Once you walk through the door it just smells like bbq, smokey deliciousness. There's a walk up counter to take orders and indoor/outdoor seating, not a lot, but enough. We opted for the pulled pork platter and the half slab of ribs, both with cornbread and one potato salad and one ribbon fries. The portions are very ample for the price, especially the ribbon fries and cornbread. My husband loved the honey butter with the bread, so sweet and complimented the thick cornbread nicely. The potato salad was also very good, very creamy with soft potato pieces, some finely diced veggies, and hard boiled egg, a traditional style and very good. The ribbon fries were AMAZING. Small russet potatoes are spiral sliced with skins on and deep fried, potato chip in consistency but some pieces are still slightly chewy in the center. So good! Lightly salted, amazing. As for the BBQ, it was VERY good. The pulled pork was very tender and moist, comes topped with a slightly sweet thick BBQ sauce. I'm not very familiar with southern style versus Texas versus northern etc, I know it's not vinegar based sauce and is smoked with a heavy rub, which was good. The smokey flavor was just enough and not overwhelming. The ribs were magnificent, cooked perfectly, they were very tender but just with enough chew and pull off the bone, so so good. The glaze/rub they're smoked with is thick, sweet and smokey, maybe a touch more that I'm used to, but still, awesome. This is now our go to stop, forget Rusty's, just take the quick jaunt into town. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because we didn't walk away thinking it set the bar for the best BBQ ever....still a solid 9/10. Very friendly servers and very clean....try it!!!!

The best BBQ I have ever had. Period. I am from Chicago with family from Texas and I have traveled to North Carolina, Memphis, and Kansas City. I ate BBQ in all of those locations. Country Boys BBQ, here in the middle of Washington State, is better than any of those other BBQ spots. I know. I know. Y'all think I'm crazy but I kid you not... It's. That. Good. The brisket is tender and well flavored. The ribs are meaty with a perfect pre-rub and soaked in a sauce that matches up with precision. The pulled pork is great and the hot links are very good as well. Side orders are good but not necessarily to die for. It doesn't really matter because meat is the whole point here at this spot. Sides and breads are almost a waste of space in your stomach. That being said, if you want sides, I recommend the beans and potato salad (if you like mayo based salad). My wife says the cole slaw is good. Better than ok but not great. Anyway... This BBQ spot is a gem. It is a joy to eat there and we make a point to stop by at least every 12hrs when in the Wenatchee Valley. Yes... we eat here at least twice on every trip out this way. Highest recommendation that I can give a place. 6 stars on a five star scale.

Awesome BBQ! Their ribs are slow cooked/smoked for over 14 hours (according to a posted sign). Some of the best I've ever had. We got there just in time as they ran out of ribs just after we ordered. Great pulled pork sandwich (place on one of the best onion rolls ever)! Slaw was tasty with just a hint of sweetness?! Fresh cut potato chips and baked beans were excellent too. Service was fantastic.....as it was over 100' outside and they kept filling up our waters....and we were just waiting on take out! It's a long way from home but it might be worth a 3 1/2 hour trip!! You gotta try it!!!

I've been hearing great things about this bbq place and wanted to try it on my next Seattle / Chelan visit. Luckily I had that chance two weekends ago and found it moments before the Cashmere July 4th parade ended and got in line just before the place got packed. It's always a bit of an adjustment for me to order BBQ outside of TX. What, no meats served by the pound? I have to remember to ask for sauce on the side? I have to order ribs by the rack or 1/2 rack? This makes it hard for me to order my typical meat sampler plate. I ended up with a brisket sandwich, I wanted to try more but my wife and kids were already tired of driving and excited to arrive in Chelan. The sandwich took a while to prepare but it was a busy weekend so I can't assume the wait was typical The Brisket sandwich came with a generous amount of brisket. While the brisket was tender, it was cubed and not sliced (which is a weird way for Texans to eat brisket :-) ) Also the brisket seemed to have some kind of an au jus sauce to it which made me wonder if they were cheating to get it and keep it moist. There wasn't really any bark on the outside of the meat, it was just a bunch of beef cubes. I would love to return and try a few other meats on a future visit, their brisket wouldn't pass in TX though.

What a delightful little surprise!! We came to Leavenworth and drove out on a whim due to great yelp ratings. We were not disappointed. What a cute little town and damn the pulled pork Carolina style was soooo good! The owner was really sweet and came out to chat for a bit.

Recently started coming w John & Shelly T. Best BBQ this side of mountains. Had the pulled pork wth side of corn bread and potato salad. Always look forward to coming here from Leavenworth.

My wife and I decided to give the BBQ another chance after she had some of the pulled pork at a work function and said it was good. I am glad that we did. I had the baby back ribs and hot link and the ribs were very good and the link was OK. My wife had the above mentioned pulled pork and it was good. Both would have really benefited from some acid from say a pickle spear. The ribbon fries ( read tornado fries at the fair) are so good it's a SHAME( Hint Hint) that you can not get then in Wenatchee. The beans were kind of flat and the cornbread was passable. But other than the fries you are not really here for the sides are you? Now the service was outstanding! To quote my wife " We got such great service and they are not even doing it for a tip" The place is counter service. Sometimes you have to give a place a second chance even if it takes a couple of years! On my fist visit I must have chosen what to have very poorly for my tastes.

This BBQ place is the bomb!!! Wow Ribbon fries, potato salad and pulled pork plate. Awesome service and refills on drinks for free!!! Definitely coming back for sure!! Thank you Cashmere

If there were half stars, this place would be a 3.5 but I round up because of the utmost polite service. I can proudly say I've been blessed to get my hands on some amazing ribs, so my standard is a little high. That being said, here's what I be thinkin': The ribs were good but the rub/glaze was delicious. Far and away the best thing on the table. They had a nice, dark glaze caramalized over tender cuts, so I gave them things a fo'. The brisket, not good. Not only was the presentation unappealing, it was tough and rubbery. Me thinks that since we got here at an odd hour between lunch and dinner, the meat may have been sitting out for awhile, or at least that's the way it tasted. Plus, I'm okay if brisket isn't served the way I'm used to (delicious thick slabs), but it looked like scraps from the day with bbq sauce slathered all over it. One-star. Corn bread was good but fell into the same issue with the brisket. Tasted and has the texture of bread that's been sitting out too long, however, the taste still came through, so I assume if it were fresh, it would have been amazing. Coleslaw, yawn. Lacked flavor. I Chips or ribbons. I'm not a chip guy and I was a little disappointed when they came out cause I am a fry guy, but after eating a few of these, I was hooked. They good! Greasy, crunchy, flavorful, win! Service, excellent. Smiles, a few check ups, and a warm goodbye. Very much appreciated.

Had the pulled pork plate with beans and fries. The fries are actually like kettle chips but very good. Pulled pork was very good . Beans where kinda weird sweet taste but good. Very nice server and outdoor seating .

Stopped by at noon on a Friday in July. Food was really good (combo #1 pulled pork, ribs, chicken) with ribbon fries and cornbread. Awesome fries (the hint of sweetness with the salty reminded me of kettle corn but WAY better and the best bbq I can remember having. And we lived in Texas for 11 years. But I like the sweet kind of bbq sauce, which this was. If you only like smoky bbq, this may not be for you. Husband likes smoky but still thought this deserved 5 stars. All employees were polite, attentive and smiling. Since someone else was ordering at the counter, they came out to take our order in line. Brought out our food, checked back after a few minutes to make sure it was okay, later offered to refill our drinks and then one last check on us a little later. They stayed pretty full the entire time we were there but costumer service didn't falter. Great find!

We stopped in on a busy Saturday, the first day of summer this June 21, 2014. They were packed, it was almost 1:00 pm, but we lucked out and our group got a big table in the corner. I had the BBQ'd pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, and BBQ'd beans. The pork sandwich stands up to any I have had anywhere, the potato salad was like homemade, and the BBQ'd beans were THE BEST ever! The service I must say was awesome, even though they were crazy busy. Every employee was attentive, great manners, and a good sense of humor. We really felt appreciated and welcome and the staff were a delight to engage. I give it 4 stars only because next time I want to try the brisket and the ribbon fries. One of our friends at the table had the ribbon fries and at first almost looked doubtful, but when the meal was done there wasn't even a crumb in his basket and he never offered to share! Two at the table had the brisket and followed with several accolades. I hope I get to come back soon! We all had a great meal and a really good time. Thanks!

Conveniently located next to a lot of white river rafting, this is a great place to go for a very casual lunch or dinner. The service was fast and friendly. The pulled pork was delicious, definitely recommend getting the dinner plate which packs 3/4 of a pound and a couple of sides. The sides, though, were not nearly as good--at least the ribbon chips and corn bread. Overall a great barbecue joint and perhaps the best place to eat in the area

  • Tee S.

Simply great. Worth the trip east of the mountains. Simple setting, but the food is the focus. About as good as it gets in the state of Washington. The only misgiving is that they are closed two days a week. So make sure you checkout their schedule on countryboysbbq.com

Wake up with a bbq craving? This is the place to head too! Ribs are amazing and my daughter loves the brisket. Relaxing and great wait staff. Will go back again and again!

Found this place on Yelp, walked in to give it a test drive, and got the beef brisket, ribbon fries, and cornbread. The brisket was excellent, and the fries delicious (as well as gigantic). But the cornbread, with melted honeybutter...I'm at a loss. It's like God kissed your tongue. Indescribably, wonderously, immaculately tasty. Some kind of impossible cornbread/cake/manna hybrid. Put it this way: I would totally drive an hour to get here and just get cornbread. Outstanding.

*Giving it the 5 stars it deserves *The brisket combo is incredible, perfect smoke ring on the meat, lightly sauced and the cornbread, I dreamt of it last night *The real deal, I put Country Boys top 3 BBQ places I've ever visited

We were brought here a few years ago because of a geocache hidden on the pig. Decided to try the "Q" and we were hooked. This is the best Q(other than mine) outside of Texas and the southern states. The staff has always been ultra friendly and attentive which is hard to do when the place is packed. Today we had the pulled pork plate and the brisket plate. Sides were the beans (yum) and the ribbon fries. Word of caution, for two people only order one order of fries as the serving is huge. This place is a must and we always plan a stop on our way home from Chelan.

I was not a fan of BBQ fare until I tried Country Boy's BBQ. The pulled pork sandwiches, cornbread and ribbon fries are a must. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I always recommend this place to friends who are passing through town. Country Boy's BBQ are the best in the valley. Give them a try! Your taste buds will thank you.

Tasty meal every time we go through Cashmere on our way to Chelan. It's a must stop for us. Pretty simple menu but that's what you expect. Instead of doing a lot of things average, they do a few things very well. A touch on the spendy side, but still worth it.

I was in town for the day and had planned on going here due to the 5 star rating. Glad I did. Walking through the door, you are punched in the face with the most ridiculously amazing barbecue smell. I ordered the brisket, ribs, beans and cole slaw. The brisket was super tender and had great flavor. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone perfect. The cole slaw was fresh and not soaked in dressing. The beans and a fresh-squeezed lemonade tied it all together for a perfect lunch. The staff and service were great. Definitely recommend this place. Oh, and there's jackalopes on the wall.

Stopped in tonight with my family. Had the beef brisket dinner with coleslaw and ribbon fries. Although this is not the style of food my taste buds would typically hunger for, I was very impressed. The women behind the cash register were very pleasant and helpful and especially Courtney...that smile and those beautiful eyes. Wow! The food here is great! Make sure to get here early. They close at 8pm.

Best BBQ ever (even after a recent visit to Austin TX). We stopped for lunch on the way to Chelan. Great service and casual atmosphere. We had pulled pork sandwiches, side of beans and their addictive ribbon fries. Delicious!

  • Miz S.

Thank you yelp! I stopped by on a road trip & was so glad I did. The brisked & pulled pork were delish. Warning though about the ribbon fries. They're homemade potato chips & they must be fried in peanut oil. I totally overate. They are addictive! I actually tried to visit on the return trip home but alas they are closed on Sundays. PS -- There are tables (covered & uncovered) outside, which worked out great because I was traveling with my dogs.

I hate the fact that I have to drive all the way to Cashmere to enjoy some good BBQ but a man has to do what a man has to do. Country Boys has some tasty smoked meat and just as importantly, some excellent sides! I was able to sample a variety of offerings: Brisket Sandwich - Tender beef with a good, neutral sauce. Baby Back Rib - Tender and tasty but the texture was a bit off. May have steamed a touch. Meat came off the bone too easily. Beans - Average offering Cole Slaw - Very nice vinegar based with caraway seed Potato Salad - Good but need some salt added Corn Bread - Very nice with a cake-like texture. Comes with an awesome whipped honey butter. Ribbon Fries - Awesome ribbon of potato fried til part crispy and still meaty. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating but only one bathroom so you could be waiting in line a bit (I did). This is the place to eat if you are in the area, for sure!

We loved this place! Great food, great service, really nice place. Those homemade chips are to die for as well as the corn bread, and everything else to be honest, sooooo good!!!!!!! You can eat it with your fingers or you can grab some cutlery, but eat it with your fingers, it's way much more fun :D The service was really really nice. I highly recommend this place, definitely going back there every time we go to Eastern WA.

Great food, great service. I only wish there were a few more menu options. I love the pulled pork, the potato salad tastes like homemade, and so does the cornbread. Ribbon fries are a must!

How far will you drive for BBQ? I will drive from South of Tacoma to Cashmere... I can throw out some decent ribs for a summertime get together no problem... I can even slow cook a pork butt for some pulled pork sandwiches that are tasty too... what I can't do is make BBQ that tastes like this! Just sitting outside on a warm March day enjoying the sun in the outside dinning area of the Country Boys BBQ... doesn't get much better! Tried just about everything there... Pulled pork, baked beans, and the ribbon fries are ALWAYS great... My brisket & corn bread are better...but when you don't feel like it or the weather is crappy in western washington... head to Cashmere for a taste of summertime, but bring an extra shirt... no matter how hard I try I always seem to get it on me. Their customer service is REALLY hard to beat!

20 of us stayed in cashmere over Memorial Day weekend. We needed takeout and this place looked legit. We were amazed by how good everything was and for a great price! We had ribs, brisket, potato salad, cole slaw, beans, and "fries" (more like homemade potato chips) - everything was delicious! I enjoyed the sides maybe a bit more than the entrees. Ribs were very good, brisket needed some sauce. We all felt like the takeout order was missing some sauce for the brisket. Oh well, everything else was delicious. We didn't think we would get good BBQ out here but were nicely surprised.

Delicious!! We moved from Houston, TX a year ago and had some great BBQ there. This place is excellent too! Great BBQ flavor, sauce and staff are so friendly. If you live nearby, you have to come here. Cute decor and the onion buns on the pulled pork was an extra added touch of greatness. One thing if they are going to be authentic BBQ is to have a bar with sliced onions, jalapeño and sauces. Without this, it wasn't authentic. Good but seemed like it was missing the condiments.

Very tender brisket and great ribs. Sides are all good and place if very casual. The prices for lunch were reasonable for what you get.

The gods were definitely kind to me on my last road trip, as this was an unplanned stop. Some unseen forces made me turn off the highway and right by this place. I'm not sure exactly what I was eating...some kind of beef on a sandwich. All I know now is that I think I need to move to Cashmere. I need to be eating that beef on a sandwich again.

Kinda tough to find a hole in this operation. Food is all great, from the fresh cooked potato chips to the decadent baked beans or cornbread. The smoked meats are delicious the portions more than ample. And the sarcastic staff is usually on their A game. The best ran place in the valley

  • Ashley S.

Really awesome pulled pork!! The honey butter for the cornbread was awesome and their "chips" were crazy good!!! The owner came and cleared our tables while asking how everything was which I never see in the city. It was a great experience

I'm normally not a fan of BBQ and dislike the typical pork aftertaste. I went here for my boyfriend as he loves BBQ. This food here was great and didn't need sauce to mask the taste. I had the pulled pork which I would gladly order again. My boyfriend had the ribs which he said fell off the bone like they should. Recommend this place, Yum!

Brisket is for real! Cornbread is amazing. had the baby backs and the pork too. Both very good for WA BBQ.

Best pulled pork, ribs, baked beans, and cornbread I've ever had. And I spent the first 27 years of my life in the southeast. Large split-able portions are reasonably priced. Of note, if dining with your significant other and he (or she) happens to have a beard, take advantage of the napkins. My bearded husband fully embraced the "I'm saving some for later" mindset with his honey butter and ribs, which I came to regret later.

I'm a nut for barbecue. Let me rephrase, I'm a nut for GOOD barbecue. And finding a place that's legit, is like finding a needle in a haystack. So much of what passes for "barbecue" is parboiled, oven baked, low quality junk. Doing it right takes a lot of time, patience, and love. Thank goodness Country Boys gets it! I had the brisket dinner. So good! The meat was tender, yet had the tell tale red smoke ring just below a crispy bark that let you know that it was A, smoked with wood and B, cooked a LONG time at very low heat. The meat also came out sans sauce, which is how it ought to be! The meat HAS to be able to stand on it's own without needing to be drenched in sauce. Again, CB's meat is only accented with sauce, it doesn't need it to taste good. The side where really good as well. The basket of chips are so crunchy, salty, and ever so slightly greasy. Really, really good. The beans had bits of what I'm guessing was pulled pork, again, very tasty. The atmosphere is really nice, lot's of covered and uncovered outside seating. The staff is REALLY friendly. The guy who runs the place is super chill and you can tell he genuinely cares that you're having a good meal and a good time. I really really really wish they served beer here. There's just something in my mind that really good BBQ needs to be washed down with some cold beer. But that's the only thing that's a "problem" with this place. I feel with product as good as theirs, dinging them a star would be a real disservice. Country Boys will always be on my to-hit list when I'm up visiting in that part of the world!

Amazing BBQ! The staff is so friendly and always attentive! The hardest part is deciding what to order because everything is sooo good. My personal favorites are the BBQ chicken thighs, cornbread & ribbon fries! It's totally worth the drive from Seattle!

That good. Food lived up to expectations built on reviews, as did hospitality. Good balance on the amount of smoke & sauce. Easy to eat outside with kids, we'll be back on any cross state adventure!

Had a craving for BBQ and discovered that this place was likely my best bet. Trekked out there from Ellensburg with my boyfriend and was not disappointed. I had the pulled pork dinner with slaw and beans and my boyfriend had the ribs with cornbread and potato salad. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was super speedy and the outdoor seating was plentiful. We went in around 6:30 and it was somewhat busy but about 30 minutes later it really took off and got really crowded. The only thing that we wished was that they served mac-n-cheese as a side (and that it was closer but hey, it makes for a nice adventure I guess). Going to try and get out there before Blewett pass gets too crazy to try the potato chips and brisket

  • Al S.

I really hate to recommend this place, because if enough people discover it they will always be out of food. I love BBQ and have eaten it all over the USA. I knew the northwest was not exactly Kansas City, but even passing grade BBQ places up here are hard to find. This is hands down the best BBQ place I have found in the northwest. The food is great. The owners and staff are helpful and friendly. The prices are reasonable. And like any good BBQ place, you can smell it a block before you can see it. It's small and not fancy. And, yes, Cashmere is a little out of the way. But it is really one of those hidden jems.

This place is legit. I've had BBQ in Austin, Atlanta, Nashville, and Iowa, and I haven't found a place in the NW that compared. Until this past weekend. Huge portions of slow-cooked meat and tasty sides. The crispy ribbon fries are a huge basket of freshly fried potato chips. Mmmm! I had the brisket, my husband had the pulled pork plate. We each had two sides. My faves were the ribbon fries and the cornbread. I think the drip honey on top of their cornbread.... Yum!! The beans were also really good, and the coleslaw was good, but my least fave of the four sides. My 2 year-old son exclaimed that my beef brisket was, "yummy, yummy to my tummy!!" That is a rare endorsement, people. I had to wrastle him for the last bite. If we're ever passing through Cashmere again, we're definitely stopping here. I appreciated the cattle brandings on the wall. Nice touch.

Why is it the five star places have to be hundreds of miles from your house? We were staying in Leavenworth and I had looked up places to eat before we left, this one really stood out, so when we hit the town of Cashmere, this was the first place we went. WOW, is all I can say, this was the best BBQ I have ever eaten out, and we have eaten at quite a few. I wasn't expecting much when we walked in. The place is small with around 8 tables or so, and they were all full. You walk up to the window and place your order and go find a table. We both ordered the Lunch Beef brisket plate, which included the a healthy portion of pulled brisket, that was so full of flavor, I had a tear in my eye. It comes with cole slaw, potato salad, or ribbon fries. I had the potato salad, which was fresh made and had a good flavor, not overly mayo tasting like some. The food came out pretty fast and the woman who brought it out to us, was so nice, and stood and talked to us about the area and asked how we liked visiting there. It is a spotless place as well, and the people were friendly. They had forgot to give my husband his add on cornbread and when he told them, they just gave it to him no charge, even though they'd just brought the stuff out. They have good BBQ karma here, so if you are looking for a great place to find BBQ you want to yelp about, this is it.

Excellent. I've been there several times and the food is consistently good, and the staff great. I love the cornbread and the brisket, but am also a huge fan of the chicken thighs. The ribs are really good too! The BBQ sauce is a bit on the sweet side but nicely balanced. Good smoke on the food (not overdone). Just a solid place with excellent food! Go there. Now.

Where is the best Southern Style BBQ? Head over to Country Boys BBQ. THE BEST BBQ in WA and will give any state run for their money! Don't believe me....people drive all over...more than 3+ hrs to just come here for a meal. We luck out by finding this place by accident before we went river rafting and I am sure glad we did! I ordered the combo #1 which comes with baby back ribs, pulled pork, and chicken thigh. $15.95. You can add a hotlink for $2.25 or bun $.75. It comes with two sides so I got the ribbon fries and coleshaw. I added a cornbread for $1.75. Good portions. Ribbon fries is in their own basket. NO BS, everything was fall off the bone...super tender, flavorful explosion in your mouth with moist meat, and finger licking good. I EVEN LICK MY FRIENDS FINGERS. You know when the food is great...when everybody at the table is quietly focusing on their food and no one is talking + no sharing is involved. That ridiculously good!!! Extra points for fantastic friendly service, tasty bbq sauces, and honey butter with their off the charts delicious cornbread. This place is worth the drive and definitely worth the money! Serious about the pig when a brass pig is out front. Highly Recommended. TIP: Try their lemonade....very refreshing. They do not serve alcohol so BYOB. countryboysbbq.com

We have eaten at Country Boy's once a year for the last three years as we have been taking motorcycle rides thru eastern WA. A friend of our recommended it. The food, service, value and atmosphere are all top notch! The portion sizes are very generous. My husband and I usually share a platter for lunch/dinner. There is more than enough food. The pulled pork is great! and I love their cornbread. The homemade lemonade is delicious. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The A/C is much appreciated on a hot summer day. But if you can score a table on the shaded side of the building, it's nice to sit outside also. The service is fast and the servers made the rounds to keep our iced tea glasses full. We have brought friends with us on recent stops to Cashmere and they have loved it too!

Yum! And reasonable prices too. We all loved the honey butter on cornbread or by the spoonful.

The first time I came to Country Boys, I had the #1 combo, and substiuted the pulled pork for briskit, and chose the ribbon fries and baked beans for the sides. There was so much food! I completely gorged myself silly! I think I may have peaked my limit for red meat for the week! The baby back ribs were so juicy and tender they just fell off the bone, the brisket was good, but I like it in slabs myself, and not diced in little bite sized pieces (but it was still amazing), and the BBQ chicken thigh with skin was tasty! Everyone that worked there was super friendly! The BBQ sauce was delicious! A little on the spicy side, but good! They had the bottles of BBQ sauce at each table. The restaurant inside is small, but there is the option for outdoor seating as well.

We were intrigued that this place has only good reviews, so we stopped by. We had some lunch and beef brisket burger. It was delicious and the place really deserves 5 stars.

What a great hidden gem Cashmere has @ Country Boys BBQ! My hubby is par-tic-u-lar about BBQ... so we were a bit hesitant. Am so glad we stopped in for lunch. We were greeted by two happy gals behind the register - it was Oct 30th, so they were in costume - very fun. We picked items off the "lunch" section of the menu: beef brisket w/ sides, and pork ribs & hot sausage link w/ sides. We both had cole-slaw (crispy & well seasoned with celery seeds) and ribbon fries. Now those are what caught our surprise when we got them. YUMMY!! Amazingly curly & crispy, seasoned just so with Johnny's seasoning salt. (Wish I would have taken a picture of them to share with you.) Between the 2 of us, we managed to wash it all down with our Root-beers & roll out of there. Definitely a reasonable price for the amount of food we had. Will definitely hit this place again. Saw that you could order the meat by the pound, or even have them cater for your next event. Hmmmmm, wonder if they deliver to Everett?

A must have when you are in the area! Whenever we are in Leavenworth, we always make the trip to Cashmere. I've had the rubs, pulled pork and the chicken, all were some of the best I've ever had.

  • Ross H.

You know it's going to be good when you're greeted by a giant brass pig at the door. Brisket and pulled pork had great smoke flavor. The sausage was a nice coarse with good spice. The ribbon fries looked crazy, crazy good! Wet naps, toothpicks an sauce on the table just like every good BBQ place should have. Not vegetarian beans and that's a good thing. Country Boys, I wish you were closer to Seattle.

I'm no bbq snob, I like smoked meats with about any kind of sauce/rub/etc you want to toss on it... but I am picky about few bbq dealies, and this place makes the grade. Tried the pork plate and the brisket plate. Choice of two sides with each so we went for coleslaw, beans, and the potato ribbons. Beans - obviously homemade, interesting flavor, not overly sweet. Slaw - excellent mayo based sauce, had actual celery seed in it, glad we each got some cause I wasn't going to share. Taters - massive pile of crispy goodness, like Tim's chips but thinner and fresh out of the fryer. Mmmmmmm. And the meats? Perfect pulled pork, nice and tender with great flavor. Decent portion too. Brisket had a great smoke ring and was some of the most tender I've ever had. Not too fatty either so I was happy about that. Service was fabulous. Lady at the counter taking orders was pleasant and seemed generally interested in what adventures we were up to. Little local girl dropped by and brought her order of 'homegrown' eggs while we were there. So nice seeing her support a young local farmer and neighbor. Wish now that we had tried the potato salad. But that's okay, you won't have to try to hard to get me to go back!

I live in Federal Way, WA and I would drive 3 hours to get more awesome barbecue from Country Boys again. It is so worth the drive. Their barbecue is the best barbecue I've ever had. From East coast to West coast. Hands down, THE best. Pulled pork was moist, tender, flavorful. My response when asked how it was? "AMAZING" is all I could think of. I made it a goal to try everything on their menu. I did. Ribs - OMG! Moist, tender, juicy, fall of the bone good. Brisket - fabulous!! Chicken - moist - tender. I don't know how else to describe their food. You can order as a meal or by the pound. Their ribbon fries are addicting! Corn bread is delicious as well - with honey butter on the side. The people there are nice as can be and truly love what they do. It shows in everything - from the food to the atmosphere. Make it a goal to eat here, no matter how long it takes you - trust me - you will not regret it! Wish I could give it more stars!! Oh - and one of the owners (husband and wife) stated to me one time that she has been known to bribe children with a dollar to try their barbecue! When they do they're hooked! Money well spent. Make it a point to read their history on the wall just inside the door. Very interesting! Great people!!

Great food and just as important to me, AMAZING customer service. I have not been to a restaurant anywhere in the valley that has such good service. The owners really do train their staff right. An example of how far above and beyond they go: A co-worker and I showed up one day to find that Country Boys credit card reader was down. We didn't have cash and them knowing we drove from Wenatchee to eat, let us eat and pay next time. Tell me another restaurant in the greater Wenatchee area that would offer something like that and I will buy your lunch!

  • Randy C.

I will make up excuses to head over the mountains to eat here!! The first thing you notice is how clean the place is. The tables are not sticky with left over residue. Even the restrooms are spotless. The BBQ is amazing, everything is great minus the hot links, They were just OK. The ribbon fries are a nice touch. Well worth the drive from anywhere. If you are staying in Leavenworth, make the drive over. It's worth it.

Yum! Great little BBQ place in a small town. I had the pulled pork sandwich for $6.50, and added 2 sides for an extra $3. Great prices. Lots of delicious food! Friendly service. If we're ever in Cashemere again, we'll eat there for sure!

  • H C.

Yummy. I had the brisket sandwich, hub had the pulled pork. It wasn't that saucy, which was great for me because I don't like a lot of sauce. Extra sauce is available on the tables. Had the fries too, which are basically just kettle cooked chips. I could do without those next time.

If the people at Country Boys were superheroes, they'd be summoned by an enormous spotlight projecting a pile a ribs into the night sky, ready to dispense BBQ deliciousness unto all in need. It is clear the world needs such a hero. For now, however, the general population must settle for to the restaurant itself, tucked right on the main drag in Cashmere just down the way from riverside park. With plenty of indoor and outdoor tables, CB is a great place to grab lunch and get out of the sun, or park it out and enjoy the afternoon at one of the outdoor tables. The food it amazing. Period. Whether you treat yourself to the pulled pork, brisket, or hot links, nothing fails to impress. The sides are equally fantastic--the potato salad and coleslaw compliment the BBQ perfectly, and the beans are also readily available to complete the BBQ package. It can be a little spendy, but with the service and the quality of the food being what it is, it is easily worth it.

Yummy! A must stop for sure or even worth a day trip. My wife and ordered lunch, she got the pulled pork and I ate the brisket. They both were very good and a lot of food. We both enjoyed the sides as well, getting beans, corn bread, and some slaw.

I am not a purest and love all types of BBQ ..why not? they are all wonderful when done well So here we have the best sweet style BBQ I have ever eaten! There were six of us we ordered one of everything ..the brisket was my favorite but everything was insane ....and the chips are so good we ordered three for the table!..slaw I loved but husband found too sweet..so I dumped his on my plate demolished it. Usually I want to add hot to my BBQ ..cornbread was really nice..itwas all good... nice perk is the full bottle of house sauce they put on the table ..sadly it was just about gone when we left and the temptation to ask for a to go cup for the rest was strong! ...lots of honey in the air.. My husband and I just looked at each other now as I write this and say. we will go back and are very glad there is not one closer because it is perfect the way and where it is ...yes we will make that stunning drive back and enjoy this place again soon .. sit inside or outside...friendly folks ..good food ..clean joint ..we ordered dinners for the price of a decent lunch ..and left really satisfied but not feeling like we damaged ourselves! I like that! it was a nice meal and very fun

Everything wonderful that others have said is all TRUE! Plus free refills on drinks, super friendly staff and charming decor, inside and outside. I couldn't decide on my favorites and we tried almost everything. Will be back here for sure!

Came here for the first time on my drive to Lake Chelan on Thursday. Normally go to Rustys Burgers but wanted something different for a change. I was sure happy with my decision. Super friendly service. Lots of picnic tables outside to enjoy the great day. Little grassy area nearby for "Fido". I had the pulled pork sandwich with a side of tater salad & a Diet Dr. Pepper. A true Texas BBQ treat to have Dr. Pepper & Diet Dr. Pepper with your grub. Mom got the brisket sandwich & it seemed a little weird to me because I'm used to sliced brisket on a sandwich & hers had "nuggets" of brisket. Will definetely go back a gain and try some of their other goodies.

If you are ever passing through Cashmere and are in the least bit hungry you need to stop at Country Boys BBQ. What a pleasant surprise the first time we stopped - some of the best BBQ I have eaten in the Western US. I love the pork sandwich. The only thing possibly missing was the cheese and the fact I didn't miss it all that much speaks to just how good the sandwich was. A big portion and the meat is super lean with a ton of flavor. I love the BBQ sauce as well. The sausage is also excellent and I the chicken is very good but the best item I have tried on the menu is the pork though the cornbread is not far behind. Even though you don't need it be sure to order a side of cornbread to share though I have to admit now after a couple of times I get my own and forget the whole sharing thing. My only complaint is that they don't have beer. After all a cold beer hits the spot with great BBQ. Super clean restaurant and bathrooms. Definitely worth the stop on any road trip as I know any locals are already clued in about how great this place is. Actually I do have another complaint - they need to be open until 9 and on Sundays since it is hard to get there from the Seattle area by 8 and I could really use a good BBQ fix on Sunday before heading over the mountains. Super friendly quick service! Make a point to stop here if you can!

Oh man. How refreshing to find a little gem of a surprise during a 15-hour road trip around Washington. Along the way, leaving Wenatchee, ma tummy was a-buzzin, and I saw a small, matter of fact sign sayin', "BBQ, next left". All right, I says to ma-self, not expectin' much. I don't even know where ah am. Hmmm... "Welcome to Cashmere, WA". Sho nuff, thars this little place with a big yella sign sayin' "Country Boy's Southern Style BBQ". Than I sees a whole herd o' cowboys and cowgirls (even with cowboy hats!) out on tha sunny patio a-munchin away on some darn good looking bbq. OOOOOOO-WEE! Thangs is lookin' up! Yup, this here's some GOOOD bbq. TEXAN bbq. They call it 'southern" cuz to a Texan, this is the only bbq that exists in the South. So ah order ma combo #1 for $14.95: Baby back ribs (5 or 6), a pile o' pulled pork, with a dabblin' o' sauce (perfectly spiced), and a chicken thigh so tender, and the skin was like pure sin -- spicy, sweet, lack candy. The potato salad was a bit too mayonnaisey for me, but super fresh, with crunchy bits of onion and celery. Add to that a big ol' mess o' ribbon fries (more like freshly cut potato chips that kind of twist up like a ribbon), and fresh squeezed lemonade -- and, well oh man, you got yo-self a WINNER! Service is sweet (even offerin' to fill up ma lemonade when ah got ma order), and efficient, but count on waitin' a few minutes for yo oder to get all that togetha. This ain't my first rodeo when it comes ta bbq, and this stuff made me happy as a gopher in soft dirt. If you happen upon this little town, go here an' you'll be ridin' a gravy train with biscuit wheels! PROS: Great bbq, strong sweet-spicy sauce, perfectly complementing the meats. Great sides. Good service. CONS: Might have to wait 10-15 minutes for ya order.

I didn't think this was going to live up to all the five star reviews. I was wrong. Probably the best BBQ I've ever had. The brisket and ribs were excellent. Same with the corn bread, baked beans and ribbon fries. We'll be stopping again when we are in the area.

Locals rave about this place, so somewhat reluctantly, we tried it out. Turns out to be the BEST RIBS I have ever tasted. It's just totally awesome in every way, right down to the honey butter on the corn bread. It was a full house too, so people are on to this place. Oh my goodness, don't pass it by. I don't give many 5 star reviews out; this one deserves a 6.

Was heading to Levenworth for some sausages on my way back to Seattle. Saw the sign off the freeway and stopped on a whim. I was beyond impressed, surprised, and super satisfied. Was hands down the best BBQ I've ever had in washington state. The chicken thighs and ribs were beyond and I loved the beans and home made chips. We're talking about going all they way back just to eat there again. Do not miss it!

Incredible BBQ. My wife and I come from the South, and this is the best BBQ we have found in Washington. The food is excellent. I had a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw (on the sandwich) and ribbon fries (amazing). The bun was soft, the meat was tender, the sauce was sweet (but spicy). My lady friend had a half chicken that was perfectly smoked and sauced just right. She said the cornbread was awesome. I wouldn't know; she wouldn't share. (Total price for a big sandwich w/fries, half chicken w/piece of cornbread, and two sodas = $23.00) If you are in Leavenworth, Cashmere, or Wenatchee, this is a great place to visit.

  • Dan L.

Best pulled pork I have ever had! They didn't put too much sauce on it, a common mistake at a lot of similar BBQ establishments. The ribbon fries are a must have. They are like super fresh chewy potato chips. mmmmm... I want them right now! Service was top notch, refilled my drink before it was half gone. Looking forward to the next time I head to the river so I can stop back in and try the ribs!

I'm a local, so probably eat here (or takeout) about once a month. All the great reviews here are right on. I, too, am a barbecue junkie (having made pilgrimages to Luling, TX, Lockhart, TX and Maurice's Piggy Park in Columbia, SC), and this place is legit. I love the ribs, the chicken, and the pulled pork... but I wish they'd slice instead of dice their brisket. If they sold beer, I'd eat here twice as often.

simply my favorite bbq place in Washington state. we're from the seattle area but enjoy visiting this area for skiing and fruit picking. I anticipate this place all week. We've tried a decent chunk of the menu at this point. The ribs are definitely the star of the show. You can see the smoke rings and the sauce is delicious and makes a nice bark. The pulled pork is also really good as is the hot link. For sides, get ribbon fries, beans, or cornbread

Homely Place with quick service and free refill on drinks. Here is my review of "everything" yes I tried it all. 1. Spare ribs Very Smokey fall off the rib tender. Some of the best I have had in the West Period. 2. Baby Back ribs Very Smokey again, a bit on the drier side (I had a end piece) but very flavorful and amazing for BBQ in the Northwest 3. Pulled Pork I'm not really a pulled pork fan because it's usually too saucy and sweet, but these were not. This was the best I have ever had. Very Clean Pork and Smokey flavor with just the right amount of sauce. 4. Brisket First time I have had brisket prepared this way, in chunks and not long strips. Very tender, a bit too big of chunks for me but overall very good. 5. Chicken Skin is useless so I discarded it.. would have been nice if it was crispy, but overall very moist chicken with the right amount of smokiness. 6. Texas hot link Not the best, but very good. A bit of over kill, would work better on it's own. 7. Beans Great. Well balanced, with chunks of meat. 8. Corn Bread. Comes with honey butter mix, Not too dry very good flavor. I hate cornbread, but this was really good due to moisture level. 9. Potato Salad. OK, nothing special here 10. Coleslaw. Just right, needs more salt and pepper for my liking. 11. "Ribbon Fries" Charlie, I would have to disagree. These are FRESH homemade potato chips. Fresh Greesy Salty. Amazing. The atmosphere is rustic and small, with outside seating. Good quality BBQ Sauce to use at your own discretion. Why the 4 Stars and not 5.. Because I only give Texas and Southern Joints 5 stars.. This is the best BBQ in the NW I have ever had. Period. If you are on the way to or from anywhere and can go into Cashmere for food.. DO IT.. this place is Amazing. Oh, Leftovers are.. Amazing too.. cold ribs = good ribs.

Best BBQ I've had in the state hands down. Stopped on the way back from Chelan. Ribs had a nice smoke ring, tender enough to pull off, but not so much they fall off. Brisket was chopped up, but you could still see the smoke ring. Chicken was also very good and the chips were fantastic! Will definitely be stopping by whenever I pass.

Delicious pulled pork - saucy (with bottles on the tables for extra dabs), tender meat, and hefty buns that don't fall apart in your fingers. Why the four star rating then? In my opinion, a good barbeque sandwich should be paired with some crinkle-cut fries, NOT potato chips. The homemade chips are good, but their salty, greasy crispiness does not complement the BBQ. My advice, skip the chips and go straight for the sandwich. P.S. They also get big points for looking up the local movie times on the internet for us.

We were traveling to the Apple Cider Mill and we stopped here because of the highway sign, and boy am I glad we did! My husband had the pulled pork platter with slaw and beans, and I had the brisket platter with slaw and fries (which are more like fresh made potato ruffles)...we were amazed and have never had BBQ like this anywhere before. Tender meat and sandwiches (our girls split one) were juicy and tasty! The cornbread and honey butter was to die for! We will definitely be telling our friends about this place!

So far one of the best BBQ sandwiches of my life- yes, even comparing it to Memphis BBQ. I took a star away for the Hot Link, I could have totally passed on that, it had an OK flavor and texture but something was just off, this is funny to say but it just wasnt salty enough, hard to believe with a sausage huh. The ribbon fries/chips were great. Cornbread- Yummmy... For sure will go there again when in the area.

My only complaint is that they are closed 2 days! I love their BBQ! You can't go wrong with their ribs or chicken. The sides are amazing: cornbread with honey butter, yummy potato salad or addictive ribbon fries. Most of the time we order it to go and feast with the family at home, but they have great outdoor seating along the quiet streets of Cashmere. I highly recommend this little restuarant.

Best BBQ I have had in the state of WA! I am from WA but have a stepdad and very good friend both from TX that are both excellent BBQ cooks, plus have visited TX and had BBQ there. This place was just as good or better than anything I had in TX or that my friend and stepdad ever made. They have the BEST cornbread I have ever tasted, it was moist and had just the right amount of sweetness! And the pulled pork was to die for! It's a good thing I live on the other side of the mountains otherwise I would eat here everyday and be as big as a house! I will definitely go back here when I am in the area visiting family that live nearby!

By far one of the best places to eat in the valley. Also, one of the best bbq places i have eaten at since New Mexico. I usually get the Brisket sandwich, a large lemonade, and a hot link with a plate of the home made ribbon fries. I never leave here hungry. I recommend Country Boys BBQ to anyone who enjoys a great home cooked meal at a reasonable price.

you drive across the bridge with the apple boxes, and you smell this heavenly smoky smell through your car window, and then you see a red roof barn like building on the left hand corner of pleasant street - -(yes really) -cool, huh? You have to stop. there is no better bbq around that I have found. The pulled pork sandwich and the homemade potato chips are outstanding. the inside dining is tight, but that's ok you can eat on picknick table outside in the sun. What an unexpected hidden treasure!!

Great BBQ! We both had variations of pulled pork (partner had a sandwich, I had the dinner). Ribbon Fries (like homemade potato chips) that came with the sandwich are amazing, as were the sides I had, which was the baked beans and the cole slaw. Tastes like all the sides are made fresh on site, along with the BBQ. Served out of a pole barn on the main drag (as only good BBQ can be), not overly salty, or sweet with the sauce, and the meat was not drowned in it. The waitresses all wear hot pants and cowboy boots, in a cute, not $lutty sort of way. Price was very reasonable compared to our home territory on the west side of the Cascades, where you pay through the nose for BBQ that often doesn't measure up (see review points above). DON'T MISS THIS PLACE!!!

Undeniably the BEST BBQ I have ever tasted. Not only that, the BEST cornbread too! This is the real deal and we were luck enough to find it on a trip out to Lake Chelan last summer. This little place is adorable and sweet- the owners are usually there running the business and are the coolest people to chat with. Nice little town, sweet people, and AMAZING food! One of the things I love about a good BBQ place is that they have bottles of sauce- sause they MAKE, not buy- on hand for you to sauce things up as you like. And man, was this sauce yummy. We went there when I was all prego and nothing tasted good but I scarfed down a HUGE sandwitch and *2* orders of cornbread with butter and honey. As we got back on the highway I seriuously asked the hubby if we might be able to move to this little town just for the BBQ at this place. You better believe we will be stoping there every single time we go to Chelan,

Great BBQ. Some of the best I've had. A little pricy for me but the food is great.

Kinda tough to find a hole in this operation. Food is all great, from the fresh cooked potato chips to the decadent baked beans or cornbread. The smoked meats are delicious the portions more than ample. And the sarcastic staff is usually on their A game. The best ran place in the valley

Yummy. I had the brisket sandwich, hub had the pulled pork. It wasn't that saucy, which was great for me because I don't like a lot of sauce. Extra sauce is available on the tables. Had the fries too, which are basically just kettle cooked chips. I could do without those next time.

Drove 3 hours to have lunch yesterday. I was not disappointed. I love their brisket. Service is great. Can't wait to go there again.

This was worth the trip to Cashmere after spending the day in Leavenworth. The food was great (and there was lots of it), the staff was exceptionally personable and we all had a great BBQ.

you drive across the bridge with the apple boxes, and you smell this heavenly smoky smell through your car window, and then you see a red roof barn like building on the left hand corner of pleasant street - -(yes really) -cool, huh?

Simply great. Worth the trip east of the mountains. Simple setting, but the food is the focus. About as good as it gets in the state of Washington. The only misgiving is that they are closed two days a week. So make sure you checkout their schedule on countryboysbbq.com

Delicious!
