Cheap(ish) and ok. 3 out of 5 in party were "meh". One person liked. One person disliked. Not enough seating either.

Delish and cheap! This'll be my new lunch spot for sure.

love this place for a quick and inexpensive lunch - Just wish they were open sundays! The bread is always so fresh - by far the best on the Eastside!

Have been going to the one in Lynnwood for years. Great Sandwiches and noodle salads. Need more seating however and wish they offered Pho like they do in Lynnwood. Now that I live in B town I go here all the time. Highly recommend.

I've been fortunate in my life to have some really great sandwiches. But until I tried one of these hot, scrumptious, mouth watering, grandma-slapping, time to change the sheets sandwiches, I didn't know what I was missing. It's like dying and going to heaven without the dying and having to go anywhere part. Also, these sandwiches are so cheap! I will eat there whenever I can, for as long as I breathe. Did I overdo it??

I ordered a grilled pork banh mi, an order of egg rolls (2) and a vietnamese iced coffee. The total after tax was $9.31--doesn't get much better than that! Everything was very good and I will definitely be back, I'm happy to see that there is a location closer to me than Lynnwood! By the way, vietnamese egg rolls are completely different than Chinese egg rolls. If you've never had vietnamese egg rolls you must try them, so good!

Good Banh Mi! Each time I go here I grab the tofu sandwich. Its seasoned and toasted nicely with many veggies on it. The company I go here with always get the meat banh mi and they love it. It always takes a little longer than I think it will to get my sandwich, but worth the wait. And do not forget the jalapenos! YUM. This place is a hole in the wall with no decor in it/no ambience/not much customer service at all.... but this is not why you go here. The toasty sandwich always makes up for it. Its no frills, not super spendy, but a great lunch spot. Their bread is super yummy and like other people have mentioned, is more of a fat shape than long, but seriously what is wrong with that? Many have mentioned its not traditional banh mi...but for me, I really do not care. As long as it tastes good, that is what seems important here.

Thanks for saving me a trip to Lynnwood! Earlier this week, Yeh Yeh's opened up a second location in Bellevue. It is located in the same strip mall as a Ross store. A couple businesses down is Cafe Ori. It replaces another sandwich shop, Sub Shop in this space. This is the first place on the Eastside that specializes in banh mi. Most Vietnamese restaurants on this side of the water offers these sandwiches as part of their menu however. Yeh Yeh's is not like a Saigon Deli which offers hot plate entrees and other Vietnamese goodies in addition to banh mi. All that is offered here are banh mi alongside salads (noodle and papaya) and Vietnamese beef stew. There are also drinks, appetizers and a few Western style sandwiches including cheesesteaks and BBQ brisket sandwiches. The space is small, but there is a decent amount of seating. Though I would expect this place would be popular for takeout, especially given its proximity to Microsoft. I decided to do takeout. I picked up a bun thit nuong ($6.50) and BBQ pork banh mi ($3.85). Bun thit nuong is a vermicelli noodle salad with grilled pork. It also came with cut up pieces of an egg roll and lime fish sauce on the side. This is the dish I go most often to when determining a Vietnamese restaurant's legitness. It was good, not great. I liked the grilled pork and pickled daikon and carrots. The veggies seemed a little worn though. The noodle portion could be a bit larger, but given the pricing I think this was okay. The banh mi are higher priced than what you will find in the International District, but it is still a relatively good deal. It also seemed to me like the portion size seemed a bit larger and the toppings as well. I usuallly get grilled pork or ham, so this was the first time trying BBQ pork which is actually Chinese char siu chunks. The BBQ pork banh mi was really good. Left me thinking why I have never thought to make a sandwich before with it. It really works well with the veggies. I am glad that I decided to give this a try rather than choosing my usual banh mi. Glad there is now a good banh mi joint in Bellevue and can cross that off of the list of places that the Eastside is in need of.

We tried two of their Signature Sandwiches, one grilled pork, one grilled chicken. All we could say was YUM! The ample vegetables on the large sandwiches were exquisitely marinated, the jalepeno tasty but not lethal, and the buns were crispy and simply delicious. Admittedly, I hadn't had bread for two months, but still... We preferred the chicken to the pork and in fact, this review only lost the 5th star because the grilled pork contained a few bites of gristle. We're going back to try the other sandwiches!

Best Banh Mi place on the East side! Hands down. Its cheaper than all the surrounding competition, while giving great value. Grilled Pork is definitely my fav sandwich here. Great crusty french baguette, with a ton of meat, carrots, daikon, and jalapenos. Also put a ton of thai chili sauce inside to make it even tastier. If you're in the area, give it a try! 4.5/5 Stars! Pro Tip: Its extremely busy during lunch time so order ahead!

DELICIOUS. YES ma'am or sir... this place is legit, small menu, but who cares, it's all about the Hanh Mi... what is that? Allow me to explain... it's a sandwich, they have Grilled Beef, Chicken, and Pork (which is cooked perfectly and is a reward in itself.) This place does it right, with a great portion, amazing bread... vegetables and seasoning, that is just balanced. Think crusty deliciousness, with a great soft center, to hold the flavors of the fillings. When you walk in, it's simple... head directly to the cashier, order, pay, give them your name, wait a few minutes, receive food, unwrap, bite... epic WIN!

After four months of exploring, this is my favorite banh mi spot in the Greater Seattle area. So far, I've had the grilled and BBQ pork sandwiches -- and both were delicious for the price ($4.15 each). Like any banh mi, the bread was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside -- with all vegetables fresh and marinated with a zesty sauce overlay. An added bonus is the ample (and free) parking. I guess those are the perks of a food joint located in a suburban strip mall. The one negative is the prep time; when lines are long, you can be standing there for a half-hour or more. Still, it is well worth the wait.

I don't understand the rave reviews. Yeh Yeh is definitely not a Vietnamese name, I am not sure what it is and these banh mi also belong in a weird no man's land of sandwiches. I liked mine okay enough to scarf it down hungrily on the car ride home. The bread is just lightly toasted on the outside and nice and soft on the inside, it's also much rounder than the typical demi-baguette used at other banh mi spots, almost football shaped. The ratio of pickled daikon and carrot to fresh cucumber spears and cilantro was horribly off. My sandwich must have contained two huge fistfuls of pickled veggies and maybe a thin sliver of cucumber and one sprig of cilantro. Why do this? It didn't improve the taste of the sandwich, that's for sure. The barbecue pork was oddly mealy and there wasn't nearly enough ham. There is better out there.

My favorite place in Bellevue for bahm mi! Though a bit pricier than I'm used to paying for Vietnamese sandwiches, the sandwiches here are really good! As another reviewer said, the bread here is AMAZING! Soft and fluffy. The workers take forever to make the sandwiches, but I would argue that it's worth the wait. Sometimes I call ahead because you'll have to wait at least 10 minutes for your sandwich to get made. The grilled pork is definitely my favorite. Not in the mood for bahn mi? Get their salad (in which you choose noodles or papaya, 2 proteins, and the sides) or beef stew! For the salad option I usually get it with their noodles and choose the lime fish sauce. Delicious! It's a large portion too so I usually have leftovers. If you their stew, go ahead and get the large. The stew also comes with their yummy bread. All in all, the the service is friendly, the place is clean, and the food is good!

Love Vietnamese sandwiches, but they are hard to find on the Eastside. Yeh Yeh's is super affordable (~$5 or less) and fast. Good service. The Grilled Chicken, Grilled Pork, Grilled Beef are all really good, but Grilled Pork is my favorite. I usually call about 15 minutes before and they are ready when I get there to pick up.

If i wrote this a year ago, or even 3 months ago it would have been a 5 star review. To be fair I'll average those experiences (over 8 visits) with this one (3 star). This place is clean, plenty of seating, and offers classic bahn mi, with quality and tasty ingredients. For me, the bread and the combo price (sandwich, drink, and egg roll) used to set it apart from the competition. The price is still there, but this past time the sandwich and egg roll just didn't excite me like it used to. The bread was different, the Chinese pork (usually alternate with grilled pork) was mushy, and the egg roll just didn't taste as good. I will be returning and I hope to find it to be more like what I used to enjoy there. Otherwise there is stiff competition at Pho Tai and Plume.

Fast, Friendly, Frugal and Fantastic. I have become a Banh Mi evangelist after falling in love with this place. Amazing flavor -- I prefer the pork with no peppers. I always bring a friend and we are satisfied and out the door for around $9. Seating is scarce and a bit crowded (as you would expect for a place this good), so I try to go either before 11:45 or after 12:45.

  • Meesh P.

One of the best Vietnamese sandwiches I've had in the east side area, maybe even in Seattle! The bread was so soft and very generous portion of fillings! Would've given it 5 stars but the wait was a bit long (although I understand great things take time) so I didn't mind the wait at all! So glad I found yeh yeh... Thanks again yelp!

The best Philly Cheese Steak I've had in the Seattle area. Get it with extra peppers for even more win.

  • Vincent L.

I got a grilled beef Banh mi sandwich and it was good, but the highlight of my lunch is their iced coffee, which was just perfect for me - not too sweet and not too sour (i.e. stale).

  • Shep G.

This place rocks, I will be back for sure! The sandwich I had was really really good and for less than $5 that is one heck of a deal!

I rarely write reviews but felt that this restaurant deserved my time. We stopped in after my dog had emergency surgery on his eyes. I was stressed and tired...so not in a good mood. My husband ordered the pork banh mi and I ordered the tofu banh mi. My husband said it was the best sandwich he had ever tasted. My tofu sandwich was heavy, filled with flavored filled tofu, jalapeno, and vegetables. The bread was amazing and the price was reasonable. If you are in Bellevue, you have to stop in

  • Stephen H.

Upping my rating to four stars. They've addressed some of my concerns since they opened -- the sandwiches seem a bit moister, I've been happy with their bread, and they're now a bit speedier than they were initially. I've been going to Yeh Yeh's at least once a week since I discovered the place, so it's kind of hard to justify giving it less than four stars. :-)

  • Kim O.

What's for damn sure- their meats were tender! Juiciest and most flavorful of meats I've had in a sandwich. BUT- being the banh mi snob that I am (forgive me) it's not the true vietnamese sandwich that is served. Don't get me wrong, they're delicious, tasty, flavorful, juicy, and all of the above. It was just not a true vietnamese sandwich. There were pickled veggies but not enough. I say this sandwich place is a vietnamese sandwich blend with a chinese touch. It's great! Not the "best-ever" banh mi joint. You want vietnamese sandwiches? Go to Saigon Deli. You want a bomb sandwich with a vietnamese touch? Come here. Just sayin.

Best place in Bellevue, that I've tried, to get a Banh Mi. They are inexpensive, quick and good (I like the pork best). Want to go back and give the salads a try......

  • David K.

Had their pork bahn mi and it was amazing. I only went to this place because of how close it is to my work and the reviews I saw on yelp. Obviously, I wouldn't say it's a 5 star but worth a stop if your passing by!

  • Tracey W.

such great sandwiches. We get the grilled pork with extra meat. The salads are also very tasty. I would totally recommend this place to anyone.

This review is based on their tofu bahn mi. I had it twice. First time it was soggy because of the sauce and oil from the tofu. Second time, I asked them to be light on the mayo. Light on the mayo was still more than normal amount. Both times, I had the "I can't believe I just ate a thousand calories for lunch" sick feeling. I agree with the other reviewers on the baguette. I like the skinny baguettes more. My hubby liked his pork bahn mi. My brother is a regular customer there. Perhaps they are just bad with the vegetarian bahn mi.

Ugh. So good. Kristin and I were waffling over where to grab lunch and she suggested Yeh Yeh's, as it had recently been featured in an ROTD. I'm never one to turn down banh mi, as I'm obsessed with pickled veggies and even more so with meat -- that, and their ample parking situation and close proximity to my house made it even better. When we showed up, there was a line out the door -- it was a beautiful sunny day, and they plowed through the order line quickly. I originally intended on ordering just one pork sandwich, but last minute I added on a second one to take to work with me for dinner -- they were lovely, and plated one sandwich up 'for here,' with a lovely toasted bun, and one to go, which they didn't toast [but they did give me reheating instructions]. The 'wich I polished off in shop was incredibly tasty, and their jalapenos were the perfect amount of spice. The 'wich I had for dinner was also delightful [regrettably my work kitchen does not have any proper toasting devices] -- the meat held up really well and everything tasted fantastic even though I had to zap it in the microwave. The jalapenos on this one were also great... until I got to my last bite. The last one was over the top hotttt [and I've got a good spice tolerance, so you can trust this actually means 'hot'] and I was super sad that I didn't have more yummy bread to mellow it out. Note to self: eat with glass of milk nearby. I can't wait to go back and give their salads a try -- in fact I may just head over there now...

I'm not going to act like I am some expert on Banh Mi. I most definitely am not, I think this was like the 3rd one I have ever had in my life. BUT, I do love a tasty sandwich, and all the reviews said this place has tasty sandwiches. Which, they most definitely do. The sandwiches are a bit pricier than other places, but that's because they are bigger, and a full on meal. I went with the grilled pork, and was super impressed with the flavor, even the pickled veggies were good, which usually aren't my jam. I hadn't eaten anything all day, and this sandwich left me STUFFED. I also tried one of the egg rolls, which was super tasty as well. The Noodle salad bowls look amazing too. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu! great inexpensive lunch option not too far from my work. Be warned though, this place does get busy, and rightfully so.

  • Mike S.

The Banh Mi was one of the 3 best I've ever had fresh baked bread fresh vegetables and a ample portion of grilled pork. Bun or cold noodle dish was equally perfect you get to choose what's in it and it was top notch . The only grip is the location was next to Ross but this is now going to be a weekly obsession.

    (4)
  • Kelly S.

Banh Mi?? More like BOMB Minh. I have been eating at both locations for years and I am never disappointed. I make it a mission to take everyone I know there to taste the tender pork and perfect bread. The veggies and seasonings are perfectly balanced with the meat and bread.

  • Andy L.

Cheap, and delicious! The pork banh mi... I can't get past the pork. My girlfriend keeps telling me that I need to try other things on the menu, and I totally agree with her. But every time I walk in to this place I just can't help myself, and end up walking out with the pork banh mi. It's a little out of the way for me on weekdays, but it's great for lunch if I'm in Bellevue on the weekend. Would highly recommend for any one looking for a quick, cheap but delicious lunch.

  • Tom B.

For value, this place should be five hundred stars--like any banh mi place that's at least good. For quality, this place definitely ranks in the top 20% of banh mi places (to say the least), so it earns its five stars honestly. This is a new second location (or maybe even more than second) for these guys). It's in a small spot in a strip mall, easy to get to from busy arterials. The kids who work here and nice, hard-working, friendly kids. They put their heads down and crank out the sandwichy goodness. They're easy-going, helpful, and friendly, but they have work to do and they focus on that. The menu is simple: a few sandwiches, a few basic apps like gyoza (from a bag). The sandwiches all looked and smelled fantastic, but I can only speak from experience about the grilled pork. It was as close to perfect as I need a sandwich to be. Crusty, crackly bread that covers you in crumbs after a bite or two; tender and explosively flavored grillings, crispy and tart pickled vegetables. Good stuff through and through. The prices here are exceptional. If you're unfamiliar with banh mi, they are the deal of the century--$3.85 for an 8" sandwich that will easily fill you up. This place does take credit cards, but you have to bring cash to tip. They only run your card once. It's a modest dining room, with a few clean tables and chairs and a couple bottles of Sriracha. It does the job effortlessly. If this is a lunch of dinner location for you, grab a buck or two for a tip and get in here.

As someone who eats sandwiches, gyros, deli and cold cuts almost every single day since the day I was born, I can only say... I approve! Lets cut this review into pieces now. The atmosphere, set up and decor is...well, who cares! You're getting a delicious sandwich the size of your face and then some for $3.75. Honestly, you can't ask for more than that. I've had the grilled pork and bbq pork sandwiches so far and they have been awesome. They are of course, made to order, and take about very few minutes or so per sandwich. Did I mention the fact that they're the size of your face? Anywho, the meat is well cooked and there's plenty of it so you won't go hungry after you're done. The veggies seem fresh and are always generously packed in, and the bread is fluffy and crispy which make for a great overall sandwich. You can also get a good Vietnamese coffee for 2.50 or 2.75, which in today's world is like getting free coffee. Overall, 5 om nom nom nom stars.

5 stars for an excellent banh mi. Consistently good, and as other reviewers have stated, loaded with meat and vegetables. Even the tofu sandwich is delicious. I like how they warm up the sandwich so it's perfect when you bite into it. Banh mi is my favorite type of sandwich and this is the best in Bellevue. The people who work in there are very helpful and friendly. I would like to try their beef stew.

Speedy service, remembered my name, and a tasty sandwich. Honestly can't go wrong making a visit here!

Could be a little cheaper as it is only a Banh mi sandwich but DANG they're good. $6.47 tax included for a beef brisket sandwich (the best) but it will fill you up. Will go again...and again...and again...

This my favorite weekday lunch spot. Some of the best bahn mi I've had. Perfectly balanced portions of ingredients, nice crusty baguette, and ridiculously affordable. I also recommend the rice noodle salads with egg roll, pork, and lime fish sauce dressing.

Bahn Mi sandwiches...hard to come by here in the East Side of Seattle...I came from San Fran where Bahn Mi was KILLER....but Yeh Yeh has saved my taste buds...I went there when they had the coupons in the mailers, very friendly, very neat, very affordable...two thumbs up...YEH YEHHHH!!!!

Your ordinary vietnamese sandwich spot but this one was located on the other side of the bridge - Bellevue. Bellevue as you know it is a suburb so finding vietnamese baguettes are hard to come by unless you travel about 11 miles west to Seattle. This place is located in a strip mall next to Ross and prices are on the high side but I'm guessing that's what you pay for the convenience. Good sandwiches if you don't want to trek all the way to seattle.

  • Joe N.

Finally!!!! This is the bread I've been looking for!! They do banh mi here really well. I'm new around here, so I can't compare prices, but $3.75 is not bad for a banh mi where they don't go cheap on the meats and pickled veggies. The bread has a slight crunch on the outside, but still soft and warm on the inside. NO problems with the roof of my mouth!! I've only tried the grilled pork, which just needed a tad more flavor and a little char. Otherwise, it was great and i will definitely be back.

When we first saw that Yeh Yeh's was opening up in Bellevue we were super excited since we never really go up to Lynnwood (their other location). The banh mi is slightly more expensive than some other places ($3.85+tax) but it is also slightly bigger with more toppings. Ordered the pork banh mi and overall it was a little dry, but still delicious. I'm sure I'll be back many more times since it's still a good deal and closeby ... I'm just glad that there's now a place on the eastside to get a good vietnamese sandwich!

    (4)
  • Eric W.

Great flavors and price! If you're sensitive to spice request no jalapeño/cilantro. I took it off when I was done. The service was pretty quick although the lady recommended a sandwich because I look American and didn't notice my friend waiting to take her order.

  • Tom C.

Great sandwiches at very reasonable price. Hard to find in Bellevue these days... Also try the papaya salad with pork.

    (4)
  • Christina S.

Very good price for a light lunch. I got grilled pork Vietnamnese sandwich and taro bubble tea. They were really nice. The bun was really fresh and crispy. I wasn't expecting good bubble tea since it wasn't their experty, but it actually came out not bad. This place isn't too close to my work for lunch, but I would definitely go back to other locations outside of work!

The sandwiches are great and cheap. Blows Subway out of the water for much cheaper prices. I like the grilled pork with jalapeno.

    (5)
  • Camille S.

Sooo freakin' good! The grilled pork bahn mi I had was absolute perfection. I'd take one of these over a Subway or Jimmy John's any day... and now that I work in Bellevue again, I can!

Yum Yum, I went here for lunch and did not realize it was next to Cafe Ori. Bonus point for the location. I bought the grilled pork sandwich and asked for egg on it but disappointingly they were out of eggs. However, everything was righted when they asked if I wanted extra meat for 75 cents more. Super size? This is 'Merica, so dang straight. The sandwich was huge and I'd rather spend my $5.XX on this than Subway (no hard feelings Subway). Next time I will try their beef stew that you dip bread into; Bahn Mi Bo Kho. I also hope they have egg next time.

  • Sam D.

Love it. The sandwiches are cheap, the service is very friendly. Order the grilled pork, it's the best. The veggies are fresh, bread is perfect, meat was cooked well, we had four sandwiches and crab rangoon for under $20.

Great sandwiches! also some of the best boba tea I've ever had. not too sweet and syrupy. just right!

  • Angela W.

I love their Beef Stew (Bo Kho)!! Also their sandwiches are awesome too. I knew Yeh Yeh's up in Lynnwood and was thrilled to see they opened up in Bellevue where I work. Awesome food! The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because it takes some time for your food. I even called in an order and still had to wait 15 minutes to get my soup. They are just really busy (not a bad thing by any means).

  • Sam A.

I would have to say that I am a connoisseur of Vietnamese sandwiches. I have my favorite spot in the Rainier Valley, I have my favorite spot in the north end on Aurora and have now have a favorite spot in Bellevue. I can say without a doubt, the Yeh Yeh's is by far my favorite spot in the greater Seattle area! The one other review about how slow they are is somewhat correct. They will not put your sandwich in the oven in a phone order unless you specifically ask them to, but I would say that this is a good thing. They are concerned about your to go order being as fresh as possible...and since when is 3 minutes in a convection oven glacially slow??? Anyway without a doubt, I would recommend Yeh Yeh's to all Banh Mi fans...and at $3.85 for a good healthy sandwich, I don't think you can get a better value anywhere else in Bellevue!!! My only complaint is that we are now done with my project in Bellevue and there are no locations in Seattle...jump on it Yeh Yeh's...open one up in the North End of Seattle!!

the bahn mi sandwiches are ok~ nothing i would go out of my way for or crave. the tapioca/boba drink was just nasty. hard & not even chewy and the coffee drink was warm~ i tossed it as soon as I got outside. Im going to find another place for my bahn mi sandwiches.

Nothing to be said that has not been. Fresh sandwiches. Great meat and veggie flavors. And nice value. The negatives were the long wait for a sandwich shop (5-10 minutes) for the food and really small and uninviting place to eat. Great find regardless.

I dream of Yeh Yeh's tofu banh mi. It's so good, I don't know how I'll ever be able to try the rest of the menu. I did have the grilled pork, and it's awesome. Everything from the roll to the price is perfection. They are usually busy, but one bite and you'll know it was worth the wait. It's not a pretty eat in area and the counter people are courteous and pleasant, but too busy to make small talk. Who cares when $4 will give your mouth a vacation in taste paradise!

Perfect meat/veggie/baguettes ratio in every bite. For those who are Bánh mì veterans you know what I am talking about. I am glad there is finally a good Bánh mì joint in the east side. I also tried their beef stew special today and I must say it was very flavorful.

I was really disappointed. I love Yeh Yeh's sandwitch in Lynnwood so I was very happy they opened one close to my work. The opening day I went there and order two chicken sandwitch. The owner was there but he was doing internet and didn't care about us. The girl said no peper that day. The grilled chicken was too dry and chewy almost like lether. Compare to Lynnwood, almost no meat in the sandwitch. Also the vegetables were mushy(not julienned the usual Vietnamese pickle but food-processed) and no texture. I don't mind driving 30 min to Lynnwood for way better sandwitch.

The bun was soft/crisp and the veggies were fresh, but the meat was pretty sparse. I know banh mi don't usually have much meat, but this was just small bits of pork spread across the bun with big empty spaces in between. If I had known there would be so little meat, I would have happily paid the $1.25 for a little extra. It would have made the sandwich much more tasty and filling. As it was I feel like I got a veggie sandwich with pork as a condiment. It didn't cost much, but if I ever came back I'd be sure to get the extra meat version. I didn't finish my entire sandwich as I ended up with a huge amount of empty bun. Not sure what all the ranting and 5-star ratings are about. The sandwich was tasty for what it is, but the lack of meat made it less enjoyable. Not sure if it much different than any other banh mi I've had elsewhere in the past.... Overall, meh. I'll give it 3 stars for fresh bread.

Yum! One of the best Viet Sandwiches that I've had. The bread was perfectly toasted and didn't hurt my mouth from over chewing after a while. The pork and beef in my sandwich was also very tender and juicy, just the way I like it! I also had a thai ice tea, and of course, though hard to mess up, was delicious. Next time I come visit I'll be trying some of their noodle salad bowls and possibly their bubble tea. The sandwiches are a bit pricier than normal Viet sandwiches... but it IS the eastside, so almost expected. I don't mind paying a couple dollars more since it's closer to my home :)

who would have guess that out in th emiddle of nowhere would be a great banh mi shop. all the yelp reviews are gith. this shop is quick (in spite of the heavy traffic coming in the door). we ordered the grilled pork, grilled chicken and tofu. comparable to the best you can get in SF and in westminster. great find.

This place has it all! Friendly and gracious staff, clean, and absolutely awesome food for unbeatable prices. Since neither my friend no I had been here before, we asked for a recommendation and they pointed us to the grilled pork. MAN. I don't know what they did to that meat, but it was magical, some of the best stuff I've had. Worth the price on its own- but combined with a crispy baguette and their fresh veggies makes a sandwich the likes of which I really can't wait to try again. Do yourself a favor: Forget those lame fast food places! Treat yourself to a meal made by people who actually care about the food they're preparing for you! Yeh Yeh's ALL THE WAY

Initially, I was skeptical of Yeh Yeh's as I live so close to Little Saigon. Although $4.50 for lunch is not a bad deal, that is on a bit pricier side for a tofu banh mi. This place is so tiny and not fancy; the service may be pretty slow (especially around lunch hours and when you are starving). However, the workers are friendly, and I did enjoy their tofu banh mi. I really love and appreciate the fact that their bread is soft on the inside and crusty on the outside, yet it is not as deadly as other banh mi sandwiches from other Vietnamese delis ID. Yes, they are (seemingly) innocent sandwiches, but they can draw blood if you are not careful! I've bitten into many fresh and tasty sandwiches only to find out that the jagged edges of the baguette cut me up inside the mouth! (blood sauce for the extra flavour!) Ugh! It hurts! I did not see papaya salad or salmon banh mi on the menu at the store, but that's quite alright with me. I think I will go back there for another tofu banh mi!

I come here about once a week. Always get the grilled pork sandwich. The sandwich is pretty good. I like the fact that they toast the sandwich. Makes a huge difference. They use mayo instead of pate, and less vegetables than other banh mi sandwiches shops in Seattle. Yehyeh sandwiches has more meat but cost a little more than Seattle. If you want an authentic banh mi, this place isn't for you. But if you want to eat a great Vietnamese inspired sandwich, YehYeh is the place. $4 for a sandwich. Where else can you get a good sandwich for $4 in the Eastside?

  • Ashley T.

Unreal...it's that good!!! Comes out warm and crusty good. The baguette is the best part. It's perfectly crusty and soft and chewy and it won't break skin in your mouth when you bite into it. You know what I'm talking about. Most every other banh mi are too crusty where you will draw blood in your mouth if you're not careful b/c it's quite hard to bite into. Then all the crust will crumble either in your mouth or on your wax paper. Not pretty to look at or clean up after. I had to learn to quish my banh mi between my fingers before biting into it so I wouldn't hurt my mouth. Well, good news folks, you no longer have to modify your sandwich before sinking your teeth into these scrumptious, huge sandwiches. They are plump full of meat, veggies, pickled daikon and cilantro. Nom.nom.nom..if I close my eyes, I can still feel the warm bread in my hands and tasty goodness in my mouth.

Just fantastic! Great meat, fresh veggies, and of course wonderful bread--exotic but accessible food all at extemely generous prices. Food could have been out faster but it wasn't that bad, and it was definitely worth a couple minutes extra. Your garden variety sandwich place just pales in comparison.

If you live anywhere in the Seattle Metropolitan area you must check this place out. First the price is very reasonable for a Vietnamese sandwich. I had the grilled pork banh mi and it only cost $3.85 plus tax. The baguette was fresh and so was the vegetables. The pork was cooked to perfection. Every sandwich was made to order. This a tough place to find but when you do you will be in heaven. I am giving them an Ice Cube, "YEH YEH!"

I've driven past Yeh Yeh's many times when I'm shopping at the Hard Drives Northwest store nearby, but the wife and I finally decided to stop in for lunch on a cold and rainy Wednesday. The layout of Yeh Yeh's is very sparse with the food prep area lined up along the left side with the kitchen behind, then a short single row of two seat tables along the right. We decided to dine in, but I think that most customers are of the takeaway variety because only one other person decided to stay. We settled on a tofu bahn mi and a papaya salad with tofu and lime/fish sauce dressing. The papaya salad arrived very quickly in a cram-packed to-go container. The tofu was freshly fried, very crispy, and went just fine with the super fresh shredded papaya, herbs, and pickled veggies. Super delicious. Our sandwich took a little longer to arrive, but the reason why was quickly revealed - it was piping hot out of their oven. The bread, light with a thin crunchy crust was packed full of tofu, pickled veggies, brown sauce, and a bunch of other delicious stuff. This is unquestionably the best tofu bahn mi on the Eastside and perhaps in all of the greater Seattle area. The only thing that I could really offer as constructive criticism is - and bravo to Yeh Yeh's for having their food prep out in the front - but be aware that your customers are watching and if you should have to sneeze, wipe your nose, or anything else of that nature please wash your hands before returning to work on food prep. Germophobes of the world thank you for tolerating us.

Was starving and instead of going to Byblos across the street I wanted to try this little joint. BBQ chicken Egg roll good and nourishing. My daughter and I shared both and we were stuffed. Great value and nice people. Only concern is the cleanliness. Our table was dirty and the place in general looked trashed. It was 5pm no one else in the place. So I why was it dirty? Btw this was my first vietnamese sandwich so I have no experience what's so ever, but it was yummy.

Truly fantastic Banh Mi. We tried the pork, bbq pork, chicken, tofu, beef & brisket. Definitely the brisket was the best, though all of them were very good. Bread is nice and crusty with soft center. Vegetables are approrpiately pickled and the meat is delicious. Very well done.

Finally got around to checking this place out, after a couple of vegetarian friends recommended it. It's way close to work, which is a huge plus for me. Ordered takeout to avoid wait times. Owner is fairly adamant on wanting to know how soon you'll get there, presumably to toast the sandwich at the right time, which is a nice touch. Didn't know the prices beforehand, so I had to wing it. Went with the popular choice on the board: grilled pork sandwich, and egg rolls. The latter was nothing special, but omg the sandwich! Rich, flavorful meat, not too saucy mind you--just right. Fresh veggies: carrots, peppers, cilantro, sprouts... and ideal for a light lunch. It's not a big sprawling space, and given the attention this place has garnered recently, I'm not sure if going there in groups is a good idea. Owner is friendly and beamed brightly at me when I congratulated him on his new location. Having never had banh mi before, I think I might be a believer. I love Vietnamese food in general (Facing East in downtown Bellevue is one of my favorite restaurants), and now I can add sandwiches to the list.

Here is the ultimate phrase to describe Yeh Yeh's: awesomely robust. Their banh mi here is nearly twice the volume of any other banh mi place that you will find from Bellevue to Kirkland, or at least to any of my knowledge. Where other places may prefer to skimp on their vegetables as if they were pinching pennies, Yeh Yeh's prefers to shove as much pickled vegetable as the sandwich can hold. At the same time, their bread here does not shatter teeth. Sometimes when I eat a banh mi from other places around Bellevue, I get a feeling that I will need to order my dentures sooner than later. Not here! The bread they use here is the perfect combination between chewy and crispy on the outside. I ordered take-out from here, and we got the BBQ Brisket sandwiches, grilled pork, and grilled chicken sandwich. Only one of the sandwiches was mine, but I had to take a bite from every single one because it was that good. As much as others have raved about the grilled pork, I found the BBQ brisket to be superb, too. All of the meats were marinated very well. The employees here also toast it at the last possible minute so that when you receive it, it's warm throughout the sandwiches. Their selection is limited, but I don't mind this. I prefer fewer choices than to have to look through a ten page menu. They focus on sandwiches here, and they do it well. They have a menu option in which you can select a "lunch box" style take-out. You get a sandwich of your choice, fruit, cookie, and an eggroll. Too chic. As well, you can build your own Vietnamese salad. So, come here if you're looking for a quick, delicious bite made by friendly people. Yes, do tip these awesome people who make your sandwiches!

I went in at 245 in the afternoon, despite having 4 people behind the counter and one other person waiting it took 15 minutes for a sandwich to go. I ordered the grilled pork sandwich, it was just ok.. Lots of bread yes but a little bit underwhelming on flavor and veggies more on the chewy side. Maybe it's an off day? Might be back but if your not in the area don't make the trip..

I admit if you want fancy food this isn't really the place you'd go to, but if you're up for a quick tasty meal that doesn't cost much this is a great place to go. The meat is delicious, the bread tastes super fresh, and the sandwich overall for the price can't be beat. Being a big fan of the meat I order extra meat and it makes the sandwich even more amazing.

My brother and I decided to stop by here for lunch on a whim. I have never had a Vietnamese sandwhich before, but I am glad I tried it! The sandwhiches took a bit to come out (they were busy and they don't have many heaters). But it was well worth the wait. I can't explain the pure yummy-ness of these sandwhiches. Plus the Prices were excellent! After we ate them the owner (I assume) came over and asked us how we liked them. And if he could get us anything else. Talk about service! I told him I would give him a good yelp review but forgot until now (4 months later!). Better late than never I guess :) If you haven't yet, try it!

I love hole-in-the wall type places! I was looking for a place for authentic banh mi that I wouldn't have to drive to the ID for, living on the Eastside and all. And Yeh Yeh's delivers! I ordered Banh Mi Thit Nuong, Grilled Pork for all you non-Viets out there. ;) The staff was very friendly and courteous to me and the wait for the sandwich was reasonable. I liked that the guy took his time preparing it and it felt like some effort was made to make my sandwich rather than being slapped together in a rush or being pre-prepared. So kudos to making to-order and not making me feel rushed. I ordered a boba tea and the guy brought it over with straws where I was waiting. Very courteous. Again, the small things with what the staff would say or do made me feel unrushed and welcome. Now, the sandwich. You know how sometimes you get a sandwich and the beginning and last bites are sad bit of nothing but bread? Not so here! It was packed with a hearty portion of juicy, slightly charred pork through and through. Jalepenos for a slight kick (I'd request more if you like a spicier sandwich, but I was happy not to be overwhelmed). The pickled carrot and daikon was nice and fresh and not dripping. Some cucumber and a light bit of cilantro balanced it all out. Very very balanced sandwich with a great crunchy crust and soft interior. Every bite was an enjoyment. It reminded me of the banh mi my mom would get in Cali. I was so happy to see they had Che Thai and Che Ba Mau, desserts from my childhood. I ordered Che Thai for later, two more sandwiches and egg rolls for the boys back home. The interior is clean but sparse. I really did like the simple, small menu. They seem to want to focus on doing their food well, which I like, and I don't think they need to expand their menu for such a small space. I'll be back to try the noodle bowl salads and definitely for more banh mi now that I've found a great place on the Eastside!

This is hands down the best place for Vietnamese sandwiches in the area. Bread is homemade and always toasty warm. The grilled pork or beef is delicious. I've been going here since they first opened, and never go anywhere else. It's very inexpensive as well. Great deal!

I came here only one time..I ordered a simple sandwich and I waited so long. People that came after me were leaving with their food and I asked the guy. He told me they are making it...But why so long the wait!! The sandwich was nothing special. Never went back. I really wanted to like this place.

Initially I was a bit off-put by the pricing for their banh mi, which is higher than I'm used to seeing. Still, I proceeded to look up their menu online and placed an order over the phone for pick-up. I'm glad I did, because when I arrived, I realized why the prices are higher...the sandwiches are HUGE! About double the size of your typical banh mi, so in reality a pretty good value if you have the appetite. Flavors were great, and will definitely be back here again.

Very satisfying! The bread was great. I like the pork, there was a good balance of pork to vegetables. If you are in the area, eat meat and like sandwiches check this place out. It is small without many seats.

After all of these rave reviews, I had to go check the place out. I'm glad I did. I ordered the pork and the tofu sandwiches. The wait wasn't very long. I didn't have time to eat them there, so I hustled home, and ten minutes later I was tearing into the food. I had the tofu bahn mi first, as it was juicy and I was worried it would get soggy. The tofu was delicious, and the pickled carrots and jalapenos offset it nicely with a good crunch. The bread was very flavorful. I had the pork next. Again, very tasty and well executed. Together, the two sandwiches were less than $10. I probably should have stopped after one sandwich, as they're a good size and eating both of them has left me feeling stuffed and lazy.

    1) came here the first time, it was closed, just because... 2) came here a second time at 6pm.. they were out of bread :( almost gave up on this place 3) came here on a saturday for lunch.. the place smelled delicous. banh mi's are about $4.. but they are larger than your usual banh mi. mostly the bread size tho.. but still uber delicious. I'm guessing thats why the second time i came... an hour before closing.. the bread was all gone. the meats are delicious. bf had the beef, and i had the pork.. Mmmm so savory and tangy.. and all that good stuff. Also ordered a side of gyozas and crab cream cheese. mmm.. so oily but good! Glad we came back! and we will definitely be returning. nom noooom! meal under $10 a person.. well worth it. came out smelling like banh mi, and wanted to eat myself!

Really good sandwich, for less than five dollars you get full stomach. They also have other fried delights and meat and rice options, I would stick with the sandwich though. The layout of the space is not so appealing, so get it to go but the food totally trump the atmosphere. Fast, delicious, and very affordable.

The Eastside has a pretty weak culture of east coast deli sandwiches . Yes, there are some exceptions where you can get a barely passable east coast sandwich and pay twice the normal price (like Goldbergs) or you can hunt down the odd food truck but pretty much from Renton to Bothell, you'll wind up with Jimmy Johns as your lunch option. What you do have is a reasonable collection of Banh Mi. Yeh, Yeh's isn't your run of the mill Banh Mi place - they do have them but they bring elements of including sandwich fusions of traditional east coast delis. I've tried 3 items: their traditional Pork Banh MI, their Pastrami Banh Mi and their Philly Cheese steak. The Pork Banh Mi was an excellent variant of the normal Banh Mi, the Pork was nicely seasoned and the Vietnamese slaw fresh and flavorful, the baguette flaky on the outside and crispy on the inside. However there was a hint of "east coast deli" here, I believe it's a combination of the mayo their toasting the sandwich (ala Grinder) and an oven that cooks fusion there was a nice hint of deli sandwich in an otherwise traditional Banh Mi. Where things really got interesting was the Pastrami & Cheese Steak. The Pastrami was similar in form to the Pork Banh Mi, however the slaw was mixed with Thousand Island and the clear Pastrami seasoning made this clearly a deli sandwich but the daikon and carrot slaw added a really nice Vietnamese touch. The cheese steak they also played very east coast traditional up to and including a pho-cheese (food pun) mixed with the meat. However instead of the slaw, Vietnamese peppers did a fine job of replacing hot peppers on the traditional Philly sandwich. The interior is not much. A few 2 seat tables one "large" round 4-5 seaters and no decor to mention unless you count the Pepsi soda fountain. It's a sandwich place. All of this would normally make it a solid 4 star. What really pushes it over the edge is the value proposition. These aren't the small Banh Mi that you want two of and might still be hungry, this was a large sandwich with good quantity of toppings. And sandwiches started $3.85, the value meal (with Egg roll & drink) was $6.45. It's by far the best sandwich shop in Bellevue. I wish they were open late night like the "Pizza-Deli Six Pack" I'd frequent in PA.

Pretty good Banh Mi. Unfortunately these guys are glacially slow. And they don't start Phoned in "to go" orders until you show up which makes no sense to me. In the interst of fairness. The owner recently private messaged me with an explanation of the wait for phoneorders. He says they wait to toast the sandwich till someone arrives so it's crispy. He suggests that if you don't want to wait, ask for an untoasted sandwich. I haven't tried this yet.

Not exactly the BEST Banh Mi sandwich in the world, but honestly still pretty darn good. I think my only complaint is that the bread is a little thick, and I would ask for for Maggi sauce inside. The sandwich was hot and fresh to order. More importantly they actually have Cha Lua. I am yet to try their Cha Gio, but I will next time. The pricing is pretty darn good at $3.50. Actually that's REALLY good. Service was fast and friendly. Place is clean enough. There was no line when I went in, but I also came around like 4 pm. If you're in the area and craving Banh Mi, then I would definitely recommend this place. Nothing to drive out of your way for (but really only a few places have that kind of reputation). But yeah I definitely found my local go to spot for Banh Mi. Thank You Yeh Yeh.

This has to be one of the best Vietnamese Sandwich places in Washington. I have gone to so many around the area and literally every single one in China Town. I think the biggest difference in this and the others is the bread. It's so unique not just in shape (because it's round), but because of the texture. I'm not sure if they make it themselves, but it sure packs a punch in terms of taste. I would definitely get the bbq pork as I think that one is the best out of them all. The flavors are awesome and they give you a good amount. The only downside is waiting for it since it take a while, but it's definitely worth it!

just went over for lunch here after all the rave reviews. I am not generally a meat eater but the grilled pork sandwich here made me a convert. Loved the smoky, charred flavor of the pork perfectly complemented by the gigantic crispy on the outside soft on the inside bread and pickled carrots and daikon. I asked mine with jalapeno which gave it the perfect kick. sandwich was huge for ~$4 and all ingredients tasted really fresh. Hubby had the bbq pork, I found it sweet and just ok. also had the potstickers $3 for 5 pieces which were just average tasting. I'll be back for the grilled pork for sure.

I'm still a fan. A few things to note: 1) They don't have tofu available until a few hours AFTER they open, and they seem to run out of it and then that's IT for the day, lame, sad-face. 2) They will happily add extra veggies to your sandwich for no-charge, which takes it to the next level for me. Yay! Yep, I'm still addicted and will just wait until after 1:00 to get my tofu sandwich fix...and I won't wait until 6:00 to try and get one either ;-) UPDATE: The owner pm'd me to apologize and said that they had a problem with the fryer the day I couldn't get tofu in the morning, so apparently it was a fluke. Good follow-up by the owners!

Best Vietnamese sandwiches compare to all other places I went to. About $4 for a sandwich with lot of meat and vegetable. I used to pay $3 for a sandwich in Saigon Deli (Seattle) with less than half of the meat and vegetable. Since I found this place I never have to go all the way to Seattle for low-quality sandwiches any more. P/S Grilled pork sandwich is the best. They also have the buy 10 sandwiches get 1 free offer.

How lucky am I? I used to work a block away from the original Yeh Yeh's in Lynnwood and fell in love with the place when they first opened and now I currently work a block away from this new location in Bellevue. They must be following me! ;) I strongly urge you to give their Banh Mi's a try. This is what they specialize in and they have perfected it very well. These sandwiches are full of flavor with tasty marinated meats, crunchy, pickled vegetables and lots of jalapenos all served on a warm, toasted roll. It's a much appreciated break from your ordinary, American sandwich shop, just as healthy and at a fraction of the cost. You'll walk away with a happy belly and an even happier wallet!

My friend once bought me a bahn mi from Yeh Yeh's in Lynnwood... that along with Saigon Deli was my favorite Vietnamese sandwich in the Seattle area. The only problem is I live on the Eastside, while Lynnwood is two lightyears away. Going to Cafe Ori yesterday, I saw a grand opening banner underneath Yeh Yeh's. I thought it I was hallucinating due to an empty stomach. Was it the same owner? Is the quality the same as the delicious Bahn Mi I had from Lynnwood? Not one to skip out on a lunch date, I got off work and headed for Yeh Yeh's. Chris, the person who greeted me was very nice and I engaged in some small talk after I ordered their grilled pork sandwich. It took a few minutes to make, and the first bite was glorious. The French roll the pork was in was flaky, scrumptious, and tasted like it just came out of the oven. Everything else about it was perfect: the delicious pork, fresh cilantro, and jalapenos. I will definitely be a regular patron here. Easily the best Bahn Mi on the Eastside!

Oh. Yes. !!!!. This place has really come a ways since opening service-wise. I think there are still small kinks with called in orders and timing, but holy moley are their sammies delicious! I probably end up grabbing one about once a week on my lunch break. Have gotten into a habit of calling it in, and they usually have it ready for me when I pick up...though that hasn't always been the case for some of my co-workers. You can't beat the price, the sammies are delicious (I normally go with standard grilled pig) Sometimes I wish there were more veggies, but I haven't requested and I bet I'd get them if I asked. yay! awesome job guys :)

Great sandwich. And at $3.85 it's a bargain.

Imagine bread that exploded on the inside but the flaky, crunchy crust managed to keep it in one piece. The bread is a giant ball of fluff with a crunchiness that is satisfying without tearing up the inside of your mouth. The sandwiches are a great value and the chicken was tender and flavorful. The marinade was a sweet salty spicy and the pickled vegetables on the sandwich were fantastic. Slightly disappointed they didn't have a pate option, my banh mi place in Hawaii always had that, and that there wasn't more sauce involved: mayo or more pickle juice or some kind of spread. But otherwise a very tasty sandwich for less than 4 dollars. The menu is simple and the atmosphere even more so, but of course the point is cheap tasty sandwiches, and that they deliver on. I was also intrigued by the green papaya salad option, you rarely see that and I love me some green papaya. I will have to try that next time.

The rave reviews that people are leaving this place makes me doubt whether they have had good banh mi before. Don't get me wrong! This place is A-OK. The meat to veggie to bread ratio seems skewed towards the meat to me. I don't think they had enough cilantro or jalapenos in the sandwich, and they were missing a lot of the more traditional options in the sandwich like pate. The sandwich was bigger and more filling than most banh mi that I've had, which makes the higher price easier to swallow. The BBQ pork had a good pork-y flavor and was nice and tender. The iced coffee needed a little more condensed milk. All in all, a solid place, but not worth the 5 star ratings that people are giving it. I'll be back to try their noodle bowl with shredded papaya instead of bun. UPDATE: I went back to have the Vietnamese salad, with shredded papaya. I had pork, egg roll, and the fish sauce dressing. The eggroll was small and not very satisfying. The pork was good, however, and the shredded papaya instead of noodles was a great touch. I would have liked to have more herbs on my salad. I'll request extras next time I'm in there, which I doubt will be long.

Yeh Yeh in Lynnwood is my favorite Vietnamese sandwich shop in town (better than Saigon Deli in the ID!). However after having this one I'm not so sure anymore. I think the meat just wasn't as delicious as the Lynnwood one, although I may have been biased since I just had a semi-meal prior to finding out and then eating a sandwich from here. Prices were higher than Saigon Deli but not by much, surprisingly since it's Bellevue. I'll have to give this another try soon as I can't resist a good Vietnamese sandwich shop so close to my house! Would definitely recommend still though despite the not as awesome sandwiches based off of first impressions.

Their sandwiches are all very good. Although my favorite is the grilled pork and egg roll. My go-to place for a fast but tasty lunch.

Great value, fast service, convenient location, superb food quality...what more do you want? I had the chicken sandwich and it was fresh and tasty. My only critique, if I had to provide one, is that there is room for a bit more "tang" or acid to come through on the overall flavor, but that's just my personal preference. I'll be a regular, for sure! Oh, tried (fried) pot-stickers also...very good.

This place started out great but has settled into Fair territory. The staff are nice, but the meats for salads are often cool or lukewarm and sandwich quality has been inconsistent. It's good for takeout close to the office but I am now going elsewhere when I want a quality meal.

Holy Cow this place is delicious! It is a small mom and pop place with bleh decor in a strip mall, but the food is so so yummy. I've had most of the sandwiches on the menu and I've enjoyed them all. Juicy flavorful meat, daikon, carrot, cilantro and jalapenos all on a crisp warm bun. Excellent value too! They have a meal deal that includes a sandwich, egg roll and a soft drink for super cheap. The wait staff is always nice and I highly recommend this place.

I'be tried many a Banh Mi sandwich ( before I found out I was allergic to wheat) but this one has to take the cake ( or sandwich... Hehe). Despite my allergy to wheat, I told myself I would just take one bite of this sandwich ( I had the tofu one). Needless to say, one bite led to the next then half the sandwich was gone. I said to myself that I wouldn't eat any more and save it for my honey but it didn't make it home. I don't know what he puts in the sandwich but it is addicting!!!!!!! I was just there again today and they have a wheat free version but in a salad form with your choice of noodles or papaya for the base of your salad.....YUM!!!!!

Update: Still generally not that clean and I continue to say that the grilled pork is the only way to go, but man do they make a satisfying sandwich. Salads are done well too. All in all not the best execution of a restaurant experience, but the food is great. I recommend to friends.

small little Viet sandwich shop in the burbs. There's about 4-5 tables in this place and about 3 people working the lunchtime. The Popcorn chicken is pretty good. banh mi are good but not as good as Saigon Deli in ID and they are a tad bit pricier than what you'll be used to paying for in ID(about a buck or so). Nevertheless, good to have an option on the eastside. They are still having some trouble keeping up with the lunchtime but thats expected with a new restaurant.

Their Banh Mi is very good. So far the only one I've found in King County that I like. I first had them in San Francisco and was disappointed I couldn't find a good one in the area but I ran into this place while walking around the area. It's not as good as the ones in San Francisco but it's satisfying and much better than the questionable sliced sandwich meat Banh Mi that I've found elsewhere. I love coming here and I'm always satisfied. I've only tried their Banh Mi and soup. The soup was pretty good for what it was. I'd order it again.

For the bellevue area, this is probably the best place to go for banh mi. Their portions fit the prices, the sandwiches taste great and the bread is good! Their menu isn't huge and the shop is on the smaller scale, but it makes it so much easier to pick and choose what to eat. I got the grilled chicken, will definitely come back to try some more!

To preface this review, I have to say the sandwiches are tasty. I walked in about 3 years ago, when they first got started and loved it. Today I had the worst experience ... during my lunch hour, normally if I'm going to pick up a sandwich I always call ahead and place my order, so within 10 or 15 minutes of driving there it is ready for me when I arrive. Did that, girl answers the phone, takes my order, confirms and we're good to go ... I thought. Then I go to pick it up, and of course it is packed. No problem, I'll wait in line and get my sandwich. Get up to the counter and they don't have my sandwich or any history of my order. There is only one girl working with two guys, so I mention that she must have taken my order and she just stares at the wall and continues to work on other customer orders. I asked how they are going to fix this and how long it would be, knowing I was on a tight deadline, and they said 10 minutes. Not a good enough answer, so I just left. But, honestly --- besides that experience, you should be careful about this place. I noticed today how dirty the place was. The walls have stains all over, the floor is sticky, they leave food in containers on the counter when it should be refrigerated, the curtain that separates the kitchen and counter is stained. So I thought I'd check out the King County restaurant inspection history ... if you're still eating there, you might not want to check this out. If you want to see what I'm talking about, check this out ... click the link, then the + symbol next to Yeh Yeh's and you'll have fun reading about their numerous violations. tinyurl.com/mfjq4ww

Best Banh Mi I've had in the greater Seattle area, hands down. My incredibly picky Vietnamese husband also agrees. You certainly are spending more than when you pick up banh mi in International District, but for the portion size, the quality of bread, and just how yummy it is, I'd say it's totally worth it. The meat is plentiful, the pickled veggies are tasty, the creamy spread is not overwhelming, and the bread is thick and soft but lightly toasted to where it's easy for me to bite into with a good crunch! My go-to order is the grilled pork without jalapeno. If you're adventurous, order it with chicken liver pate (but not my thing). I've also ordered the beef stew that you dip bread into, that's also pretty good. But definitely give this place a try for banh mi! Because I haven't been here in a while, and some recent reviews are concerning about quality, I'll have to give it 4 stars. I sure hope it's not going downhill because I have yet to find banh mi that's comparable!

I got the grilled pork banh mi sandwich and it was decent, but I think there are better to be had on the eastside The pros: perfectly crispy bread, plenty of meat and veggies, and those pickled veggies were perfect. the less than $5 cost and quick service make it perfect for a fast lunch stop. The cons: for me the mayo was too runny. While the bread was perfectly crispy on the first bite, the other end of the sandwich started getting soggy rather quickly ruining that crispy bread. Overall, you'll need a big glass of water after you eat here because boy is it salty. It was a decent sandwich, especially for the cost. This place is pretty small and seating is rather limited, but luckily they get your order out to you pretty quickly. Also, theres a 50 cent surcharge for credit card payments...which brings the cost just to about $5 for just a sandwich.

Not a fan of the banh-mi, they serve it on giant loafs of bread. I prefer mine on a baguette roll. They have options like philly cheese steak that seem very out of place to me. I'm assuming these options along with the giant bread roles are to cater to Washington natives. The vermicelli and salads are great. I really liked that you could substitute the rice noodles with baby papaya noodles for a healthier option that tasted great and added a better texture.

$4.15 Banh Mi is great for a good cheap lunch. I had the grilled pork banh mi and it was filling. The bread is the best part. It's toasted in the oven, so the outside had a nice and light crisp, while the inside is soft. The outside of the baguette isn't as tough/hard as most other banh mi shops, and it doesn't cut up the roof of your mouth. The pork was tender. I was able to take bites out of the meat without the whole slice coming out of the sandwich. The marinade was lighter than most other places, so that fish sauce smell/taste isn't as strong if you don't like that kind of thing. The wait was ok. I came right around noon on a Friday. There were a lot of people in during their lunch break from work, which was expected. But the wait of having the baguette heated was worth it. Overall, I'd definitely come again when I'm in the area.

I have heard of Yeh Yeh awhile back and finally had the time to get around to trying their infamous banh mi's. Came here a little after 12:30 and the place was packed with people grabbing lunch. I ordered the grilled pork banh mi and a thai tea togo and had to wait about maybe 10 minutes to get my order which wasn't too bad considering how busy it was. The bread was different than most places I've been too. It was wider and fluffy. I personally like the baguettes at other places better but this was still good. The grilled pork was very flavorful and so was the diakon and carrots they put inside with the sandwich. Overall the sandwich was yummy and I thought the portion size was good for the price. The thai tea was a little too sweet for my taste but was good for being 2.50.

I got the grilled chicken sandwich and it was soooo good sooo good. There was a perfect balance of meat and veggies. I will definatly go back again soon. Since this review I have also tried the pastrami and it was amazing! I also added jalapeño peppers to it and their hot sauce. Was super spicy but loved it and the flavor was BOMB!

Holy cow that is some good banh mi! The bread was soft in the inside with a perfect crust. I got the chicken and it was seasoned perfectly my buddy let me taste on his brisket and it had a bit too much sauce for my taste (no pun intended). The prices are crazy low for what you get. The atmosphere is a bit tragic with bare walls and no decor. But it's a small price to pay.

Yummy sandwiches but wasn't quite what I expected. Sandwiches were tasty but I was looking to have some more traditional Vietnamese sandwich flavors with different Vietnamese cold cuts and pate. They didn't have any of the traditional sandwiches. I tried their grilled pork sandwich which was their most popular. The price was very reasonable for a big sandwich and it had the flavors of cilantro and pickled vegetables. Quite tasty. My boyfriend had the bbq pork and ham and that came closer to the flavors of a traditional cold cut since it had the ham. I definitely liked his better. Don't waste your money on their boba milk tea. The milk tea was bland and had no flavor and the tapioca was stale and not chewy. I also got there at an off-peak hour and the service was very slow.

Visited once in December, I found out about the chain and first visited their Lynnwood branch. I'm a fan of this location! Albeit that they're tucked away in a small business plaza off of a busy road, but quick service and courteous staff. I ordered a grilled pork sandwich with a milk tea and my co-worker ordered a chicken sandwich with a milk tea shake. Pretty fresh tasting food and the drinks weren't too sweet. I'd visit again.

Glad we found this little store. Their banh mi sandwiches are priced higher compared to the deli places in International District in Seattle. However, I must admit they put more meat and veggies in the sandwiches. We got the grilled pork banh mi, the pork had a good smoke/grilled flavor but not overly burnt. The meat was a little on the tough side though. The texture was good because of the tons of daikon radish they put. But the banh mi would have been so much better if they put in some more cilantro. Our sandwich basically had none. The cilantro balances the flavor, so to the owner - PLEASE ADD MORE CILANTRO, please? Thank you! I was expecting they have some fresh spring rolls like a typical Vietnamese deli, but they do not offer rolls. It was fine because they offer a fabulous salad! For a very good price, you get a salad (I chose papaya) and 2 proteins - I chose beef and chicken. The beef was nothing special but the chicken was delicious. They serving size was huge as well and they put generous amount of meat. I hope they put more papaya though instead of bean sprouts, and again, PLEASE ADD CILANTRO. At least next time I will just make a special request to add cilantro. I hope they have some there. The lime-fish sauce dressing was good - not too salty. Yeh Yeh rocks!

I stumbled upon this place as I searched for a new Vietnamese restaurant to try. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious. I tend to stay away from these since the bread can get really hard. That was NOT the case this time. The french bread was soft and fresh. It was a bit thicker than what I was used to but it made up for it with its softness. The meat was also well seasoned and the jalapenos has a delightful kick to it. All I can say is, if you love banh mi, Vietnamese coffee and noodles, I'd definitely recommend dropping by. The staff seems a bit short handed so be prepared to wait in line. The wait will be totally worth it!

Delicious! My boyfriend and I stopped by for a quick bite before heading to Crossroads for a movie. I had read the reviews online and was curious to come in and check it out. The bread was your typical french bread- crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. I loved it, the daikon, veggies, and BBQ layered on. My boyfriend didn't think there was any jalapenos on his. He had gotten a combo, and he felt that maybe the BBQ on his combo was forgotten (hence the -1 star). For the eastside, a sandwich is ~4.50, making Yeh Yeh's highly affordable. Will definitely stop by again.

UPDATED: (and learned the hard way to c/p old review up top before submitting) I no longer work in the area but now make sure I'm hungry every time I'm over there. I strongly encourage you to try them out if you haven't. Substitute your sub sandwich for: Fresh french bread, pickled veggies, SPICY jalapenos, and you're choice of meats/tofu/other stuff. All toasted to perfection. For under $5 for most options. If you've been eating the sandwiches but not the stew, you're missing out. Sides of fries and spring rolls. Thai iced tea and coffee. Friendly staff. So much to love.

I'm writing this review because of a really great experience I had with the owner (manager) of the Bellevue location. I had called in to place an order for 30 egg rolls to bring for a party. Their egg rolls are one of the best I've had in the area.. Not knowing they had two locations, I assumed that I was calling Bellevue. When I came to pick up my order, they said they did not receive a call and I might have called their Lynwood branch. Sure enough, Lynwood had my order ready togo. I felt so bad for calling the wrong branch but the manager did not make me feel bad at all. Instead, he offered to make the 30 egg rolls and had it done within 10 minutes for me to take to the party. Their customer service was excellent which I am really thankful for and the food is authentic and yummy!

I had a BBQ Pork Banh Mi and it smelled and felt like it was tuna sandwich all through. I dont know if it was just some bad meat or something. They were a bit disorganized too, the place was almost empty with just 2 or 3 customers. But they looked so confused and they were super slow , in even taking orders.

The best Banh mi sandwich I've ever had! Chicken is my favorite, but the pork is great too. The bread is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, the veggies are perfectly pickled and the meat is delicious and generously piled on. Yeh Yehs is an essential stop whenever we're even remotely in the vicinity.

Bellevue's hidden gem! I love this place! Super friendly staff. I have tried just about everything and you can't go wrong! Fresh vegetables and delicious meats..also have tofu. The sandwich bread/baguettes are so fresh and mouthwatering! Convenient Bellevue location. I usually order and take mine to go; there are tables to sit. Can get crowded during lunch time.

Craving a grilled pork banh mi with succulent meat sandwiched between crispy, appropriately flaky baguette slices? Want all that for barely more than $4? Look no further! This place serves up a fantastic sandwich (the pickled vegetables are delicious as well) at crazy prices--you'd be hard pressed to find a meal that's better value for money. If you feel like splurging, their $3 bubble tea is pretty solid as well--I'm partial to the taro. Yeh Yeh can get a little crowded around weekday lunchtime (it's near the Microsoft campus), so you may have to wait a few minutes for takeout. Don't bank on a table at this time either.

After reading the reviews, I went there for lunch yesterday. Oh-my-gawd. Now this was the first Banh Mi I ever had. Nontheless.....the roll quality was to-die for. The overall sandwich was also in the die-for range. Know that it's a tiny place, very efficient, but there is only one table for more than 2 and the rest of the tables are in a thin row down the wall. Elegant dining this is not, but given how awesome the food is, who cares? I would happily much on this in my car necessary. The trick now is to not go back there 5 days a week and have nothing but Banh Mi for lunch every day for months! Which is totally tempting considering how delish this was. Yeh Yeh, indeed. :-) Gimme mo!

Not authentic. Really disappointed this place has such a high rating. The staff look miserable and slowly, customers start to look the same as they are waiting for their orders. Came on a Tuesday, not a peak day and still waited at least fifteen minutes for one banh mi. Won't be back!

After all the hype I expected this phenomenal grilled pork banh mi. Unfortunately all I got was a pretty average under seasoned sandwich which had way more noodles and veggies than meat. I'm used to meat stuffed flavorful banh mis from some superb places in Seattle so after that this was a bit of a let down. Not bad but not amazing either.

Wow, I just scarfed one of these things down in RECORD TIME! I called ahead for a tofu banh mi, and it was excellent. I wasn't sure exactly where this spot was when I stopped by to pick it up, so hopefully this will help others who are looking for it for the first time: if you know where Ross and Video Only are (on the left when you're coming from 148th) it's in there. Anyway, sammiches! I will definitely try the pork or brisket next time - today I was just in a tofu mood. There was plenty of "crispy" tofu (not super crispy, once you've slathered in in pickles and mayo, but that's OK! It was still tasty) and pickled radish/carrot/jalapeno in there. The bread is soft, but toasty on the outside and doesn't get all over the place like some banh mi bread does. I actually didn't make a COMPLETE mess in my office eating lunch at my desk. It usually looks like a toddler was trying to eat something but got distracted and just started throwing food everywhere. NOT SO with Yeh Yeh's sandwiches! So I appreciate that. I wouldn't necessarily recommend eating AT this place - it's pretty nondescript inside, like a Subway or something. Fewer than 10 little tables and not much in the way of atmosphere. I'd get your sandwich to go - seems to be what most people were doing, though there were definitely a few people eating here too. Lastly, this sandwich was CHEAP! I can't believe I just handed over a $5 bill for my lunch and 1) got ANY money back, 2) am so full of delicious food! Thanks Yeh Yeh's :)

When I worked in Bellevue, there were so many restaurants around to try. I literally could have gone to a different one every single day for a year, and then some. So one day, my supervisor came in with a sandwich. It looked beautifully crunchy and huge with filling ingredients. Once he shared the secret of Yeh Yeh's with me? I gave up on other restaurants. Tucked into a busy plaza with crappy parking, you'd poetically miss this place or pass right by because of another generic teriyaki place next door. And you'd be at a loss. I've been multiple times, and the food is spot on. For ten bucks, you can get a soda, fries, and a sandwich. And it's filling, filed with hot fresh meat and crisp Oriental vegetables. The fries are not too salty or greasy, and it's all made fresh to order. The only thing I'd recommend? Take a photo of the menu and save it as a note in your phone with their number, then call ahead to place your order: at lunch time they get slammed, and for good reason. Between this and their Lynnwood location (which is exactly as amazing as this one) they have almost 500 reviews and a 4.5 star rating. If that doesn't speak awesome food, then I don't know what does!

First, and for the record, I believe that Bahn Mi is the best sandwich on the planet. It just has everything I want and none of the nasty habits of the USA, e.g. cheese on everything. I give Yeh Yeh's pork Bahn Mi 3-stars as a sandwich but 5-stars for value. My Vietnamese friend and I enjoyed it with a side of the pot stickers but neither was blown away. So the search for the best Bahn Mi in WA continues! In case you are wondering my sandwich ranking is as follows: #1 Pork Bahn Mi #2 Mature Cheddar cheese and strong Spanish Onion #3 Boxing Day dark turkey meat on white bread with a ton of salted butter (from my youth but recreated this past Boxing Day in the USA - so good!)

  • Chau D.

Yeh Yeh's is good, for the Eastside anyway. The Eastside lacks a good Banh Mi. Yeh Yeh's is definitely a grab and go kind of place and they get you out of the door quickly if you're ordering to go. I always get the BBQ Pork or the chicken. It's always safe with those 2 options. BBQ Beef can be a miss at times. The reason for 3 stars? Their mayo is too runny for me. It's forever dripping and I can't have that. When in dire need of a Banh Mi and you're in Bellevue, hit up Yeh Yeh's and ask them to go easy on the mayo so you won't have runny mayo.

Had a pork bahn mi. Pork was flavorful, fresh veggies, and good sized. Would have scored it higher but they noted when I ordered that the sandwich would be sans onion & jalapeño, as they were out. It was 12:30 pm. Also the soda fountain ice was not working.

Probably one of the best darn Grilled Pork bahn mi's I've had in a long, long time! The bread was a perfect balance of crusty, crunchiness yet still had some softness and chew. The meat was well marinated and very flavorful! The veggies inside was bountiful and still nice and crisp! I really appreciated that they didn't skimp on the veggies; it just made the bahn mi even more well proportioned with each bite. The staff was friendly and nice too! I will say this place has a real hole in the wall vibe. The seating is limited and interior is not much to look at. Came here shortly after they opened so was pretty much their first customers for the day. The one thing I found peculiar was the floor was very sticky!! I was walking over to the bathroom to go wash my hands and with every step I took; I could hear that crunching sound because the floor was so sticky and my shoes was slightly sticking to the floor. Oy vey.. what's up with that? We ordered one Grilled Chicken and one Grilled Pork bahn mi! Both were so delicious that we even ordered another Grilled Pork to-go! I really was pleasantly surprised at how big and how stuffed the bahn mi's were! Now whenever I crave a bahn mi, I think I will be ruined after having this utterly delicious bahn mi here. Yeh Yeh's has definitely set the standard high now with my expectation on what a GREAT bahn mi should taste like! This place really deserves 5 stars, cause I'm all for hole in the wall places! But the sticky floor thing was kind of off putting and the strong scent of incense being burned distracted me from fully enjoying the bahn mi! Also wanted to note that I think they recently increased their prices for bahn mi's from $3.85 to $4.15! Honestly still a great deal and $2.35 to make it a meal which includes a 24 oz soda and choice of chips or eggroll!

Good option for those craving vietnamese sandwiches in the eastside/bellevue area. However I do admit, a banh mi for almost $5 is a bit "expensive" but hey, it's Bellevue. I prefer the grilled pork sandwich (my go to option for banh mi in general). My pork was juicy, the bread was the right amount of "crispy" and there was a good amount of vegetables. I've only been here during lunch hours, so each time has been pretty busy. There is limited seating so don't bring a whole pack of friends. It's a good place for some quick lunch with a friend or a pick-up.

I've seen this place from afar, and have read the reviews.. When I crave Vietnamese food, rarely do I want a sandwich.. maybe some pho on a cold day, or a rice dish to hit the spot.. but a sandwich? Never.. But today was different. As I was out running errands and shortly had to return to work, I thought of this as a perfect opportunity to try Yeh Yeh's and bring lunch back to the office. The place is small with no decor. The menu is straight to the point.. a variety of bahn mi, salad bowls, other sandwiches, and some side options. Today, I opted for a chicken bahn mi. At first I was shocked at the pricing... nearly $5 for a bahn mi? I remember when bahn mis' were $2.. but then I remembered.. wait, this isn't 1990 anymore.. also, I can't remember the last time I bought a bahn mi to be honest.. However, after unwrapping this sandwich, I immediately found the price not just justifiable, but a deal really! This sandwich was HUGE.. no long, dry, baguette here.. A bit wider than typical bahn mis, way more meat, and stuffed with veggies. And the quality of meat... WOW, this chicken was meaty, juicy, and and flavorful! Overall, this place is going to have me craving for bahn mis... and with it being literally down the street from my hot yoga place, I have a feeling I will soon be a regular here!

flavorful meat, crusty bread, just enough spice from the jalepenos! Delicious. Still the best banh mi's i've had - but admittedly haven't had any from the ID. If you're going around lunch, don't be surprised if there is a short line! Although they are in a totally random, sort of hard to find location - people keep coming back because they are delicious, and a good deal!

The bread is delicious but everything that went in the chicken banh mi was mediocre. :/ too bad...I was so excited to try this place!

Bahn mi sandwiches -- if you like them, then get them here. As others have noted, their style is to use a bit less cilantro, which I like, but I guess others like more cilantro. They have some additional varieties of sandwiches other than your basic kinds, and also some other non-sandwich menu items. Prices are good. I'm not giving the full 5 stars only because the dining area is a little eh. It feels like the University District rather than Bellevue.

Updated this review to a 4 Star. Went back to Yeh Yeh's during mid-day this time and the meat was tender, juicy, and delicious. So definitely worth a stop! --- 3 Star Giving this place a 3 because the quality isn't consistent and depending on the time of the day and whether you're getting a fresh batch or the last couple pieces of meat in the bottom of the stray, the quality ranges from 2-4 stars. Yeh Yeh's serves quick, delicious Vietnamese sandwiches at a reasonable price. My usual order is the grilled pork sandwich with jalapeños and a fried egg. The sandwich is served on a baguette that has the right balance of hardness to it without causing pain to the roof of your mouth during consumption. They give you a fair amount of meat with a variety of veggies. My only complaint is that they cook everything ahead then hear it up again so if you come at a later time in the day when the meat was cooked several hours ago and sitting in the oil in the steam table - the sandwich can be quiet greasy and gross. One time, I got the really small bits of meat that was super oily and charred, I was really afraid that the server was going to serve it to him. Luckily, he felt the scrutiny I was giving as he was making my sandwich, he felt bad enough to make me a new one with the fresh batch of meat - thank you! If you haven't been to Yeh Yeh's, give it a try. One of the best banh mi offerings on the Eastside.

Came here and got lunch to-go. It was delicious and fifteen bucks bought us two sandwiches, a thai iced tea, and also spring rolls. Spring rolls were fresh and had both meat and shrimp. The peanut dipping sauce was a delicious compliment. Thai iced tea really hit the spot with strong tea flavor. We got the bbq pork sandwiches and they were filling. The meat was tender and delicious and the pickled vegetables in the sandwich added to the overall sandwich. This was my first bahn mi and so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I liked what I ate and I would highly recommend this place!

Sandwiches are loaded with meat. I really really shouldnt have finished mine at all but it was too delicious. My body said no more but my mouth would not stop taking bite after bite. Milk tea and CheBaMau are srum-dilly-umptious. My new favorite Bahnmi place on the eastside. Note: The sandwiches are not on a traditional baguette. The bread is much wider and softer but it still works! Definitely choose the Grilled pork sandwich.

It's just so good here. Ordering is fast although the prep time is a bit on the slower side (be prepared to wait at least 10 to 20 minutes during lunch rush) and the staff aren't talkative. They talk curtly and work quickly, so just order and make room for other customers. Don't expect any fancy silverware or gleaming tables. You're coming for the sandwiches, not the decor. The GRILLED pork (not BBQ pork) is divine. The bread is so crisp and the pork complements the veggies perfectly. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Basically, a wonderful Vietnamese sandwich shop, a little long on the wait, and not the cleanest place you've ever been. Go give it a whirl.

The quantities are superb - I mean you could be a starving hoard of wolves and you would be pretty much get your money's worth. The grilled pork is superb and there is a decent amount of veg in the sandwich to make you feel like you climbed the food pyramid. They also have a nice selection of bubble teas (some of them run a little sweet for me but hey YMMV). The pork sandwich and the thai tea was great, and all for under $8 woo!

Awesome Bahn-Mi's at incredible prices! I can guarantee you wont get this quality of bread and this quantity of succulent grilled chicken at these prices.

Got sandwiches: beef and chicken. Both good. Hubs liked beef better for some reason. Also got noodle salad: combo and chicken. Both good. But was not crazy about noodles. They were pre-cooked - understandably so b/c the set up reminds me of subway sandwiches with all ingredients all ready to go - but obviously if the noodles were cooked earlier in the day, they weren't going to retain their texture. Other than, we enjoyed it. Would go back to grab more sandwiches in the future. Not sure about noodle salad. Perhaps I'll ask to include more greens rather than noodles.

Seeing all the reviews about this place my girlfriend and I ventured to Yeh Yehs. I knew it would be hard to please my lady because she is Vietnamese. She had the pork banh mi, I had the bo kho (beef stew) with the sacrilegious Philly cheese steak lol. I thought it was pretty good for the price, and my girlfriend said it was just ok and has had better around town. The employees werent stellar by any means, on their phones and hanging out at a table lol. But I would come here again, but not a place where I would say is on my go-tos.

We found this place based on its yelp review and I see why! Amazing foooooood. We got a Vietnamese sandwich and salad and ate it there. Very fresh and tasty. Affordable prices and healthy options. We would definitely go back!

I've only been here once, but I already love this place! I'm more of a veggie girl, but I decided to get the grilled pork banh mi because it's the most popular sandwich (plus I do get those meat cravings) and it was my first time here. It was super yummy! I'll be going back to try one of their salads with green papaya or noodles...maybe. I'll probably end up getting another grilled pork sandwich. Oh, and I also ordered some egg rolls, and they were OK, but nothing great. Prices are good too. Not as cheap as the International District in Seattle where a sandwich is like $2.50, but I think the food is better quality at Yeh Yeh's. It's $4.50 for a delicious and filling sandwich, so it's pretty darn affordable.

Some places don't need to have aesthetically appealing decor to draw people to their business and that's because their food speaks for itself. The place is tiny and the menu here is simple, but the sandwiches (mainly banh mi's but a couple of non-Vietnamese sandwiches are available) are amazing. Twice the girth of any typical banh mi I've seen, and each bite was packed with flavor and grilled pork a-plenty. My sister ordered the BBQ pork banh mi which she was very satisfied with, and both sandwiches together cost me less than $10. A meal...for two...in Bellevue...for less than $10!!! Oh - and did I mention they take plastic (in case you're like me and never carry cash)? The next time I come here, I will definitely pay a little more so I can try my banh mi with a fried egg (which is an available option here)!

This place is the shit! Big sandwiches at reasonable prices. Occasionally quality can be inconsistent, but its always still good regardless. Prices are slightly more than other places but still well worth. Awesome place! My fav Viet spot. Give them a try!

Let me just start by saying this is hands down the single most incredible Vietnamese bahn mi sandwich I have ever had the blessed fortune of consuming. I am from the Bay Area in California, and found myself around this neighborhood because my partner had a business lunch meeting. I checked Yelp for possible places to grab a quick bite and chanced upon this treasure. The service is quick, got my food in under five minutes, the staff are incredibly friendly and kind (they refunded part of my order without me asking for it because they didn't have any tapioca left for my drink), and the prices are incredibly reasonable (4.15 for a BBQ pork sandwich, which would easily be 8 dollars and upwards in my area). They also accept credit cards (except for American Express) which is wonderful considering most delis like this tend to be cash only in my experience. Oh and the sandwich. I shamefully must admit I was uttering sounds of pleasure and ecstasy while eating this amazing creation. The vegetables are fresh and crisp, the bread crackles beautifully with every bite, and the spread is to die for. The jalapeno is just spicy enough to give it a good kick without overpowering all the flavors and textures. Best thing I ever ate. I am so sad to be leaving Seattle/Bellevue after tomorrow because I really want to keep coming back here to try all their sandwiches. Darn. Please consider branching out to northern California and this place would be perfect. :) Five stars! Woot woot!

Hey, this place is really good. Nothing fancy, order at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring your food out to you. Good bubble tea drinks as well. Reasonably priced too. They'd get five stars if they put a little more meat in their sandwiches. If you're in the neighborhood and looking for a fast but good lunch, stop by.

  • Kristina M.

Place is definitely mediocre. I've had a lot of Vietnamese sandwiches so that may be the case. Like everyone else said, there are a lot of fresh veggies and the bread is good! But as for traditional taste It doesn't cut it. It's not bad, but I don't think I would come back if I'm in the mood for a banh mi. Also ordered Thai tea which was alright too, and a side order of crab rangoons which I'm more impressed with because they come with 5 pieces and they are big! They were practically little balls compared to how other restaurants fill them. (However their sauce is kind of like a diluted sweet and sour packet from McDonald's)

  • Tony L.

4 1/2 stars Luckily I came here right before the lunch rush, because right after I ordered, about 8 people showed up after me. The place is small, but they make the sandwiches in front of you. I ordered: Brisket sandwich ($5.85): although this sandwich was a little more expensive, it was really good. Not your typical banh mi, but the beef, onions, sauce and fresh vegetables (and the jalapenos) were a perfect combination. It reminded me of an Asian version of a Paseo sandwich. Definitely worth it to pay a little more for this big sandwich. Pork sandwich ($3.85): this sandwich was good (saved it for dinner), but it doesn't beat the brisket one. If you are in the Bel-Red area, make sure you stop by this place for some good sandwiches.

  • Kimberly K.

The grilled pork banh mi is fantastic - perfect crunch to the baguette, just enough butter on the bread, a generous portion of pickled veggies, and just the right amount of heat from the jalapenos. You can cool your mouth off with some of their great Vietnamese iced coffee as well. I used to go all the way up to Lynnwood for these sandwiches, and now they're in Redmond as well?! Color us lucky. Rock on, Yeh Yeh's - you guys are the best.

Best Vietnamese sandwiches I've tried here in the States. It is also super cheap and quick. What more do you ask for?

decent sized vietnamese sandwiches for a cheap price.. too bad they don't toast their sandwiches before serving or have some of the more "exotic" offerings (e.g head cheese or pate)

Tried the Pork Bahn Mi for the first time today ... WOW! Will definitely be coming back. This place is legit. Also had the crab rangoon and they are delicious!

This was my introduction to Banh Mi sandwich - and it was glorious. The bread is crisp, the toppings have a great tang, and the pork is tender and cooked perfectly. It is a great eat - and very economical. Love this place!

  • Dayna C.

The place is humble & clean. The service is not just polite but down to earth. Prices are affordable, almost cheap. Amount is plenty for me. Food and their attention to important things makes this place stand out. I was pleasantly surprised by the bread & chicken- at most restaurants they are both dry. Here, they nail it with quality bread that's crispy on the outside (not gonna cut into your mouth whew!) With a fluffy inside; the chicken was tender & almost juicy. Their marinade for the meat isn't your standard soy sauce- it's got a nice balance of sweet, savory and a spice that I can't quite put my finger on but gives a hint of zest..? The noodle salad is good too- wish it came with lettuce though. S' all right though, no biggie. Anyways. Get their sandwich. Bring cash. Nuff said.

Love it , bread is the best soft with crunchy outside. Order bbq pork or grilled pork.

My favorite Banh Mi in the area! I used to eat only Banh Mi from chinatown and I was sick of cutting my mouth with the hard baguettes. The bread at yeh yeh's is soft and the fillings are all delicious. I think the secret is that they warm up the whole sandwich after it's made. Wait times could be over 10-15min during rush house so come prepared. My favorite one is the BBQ pork in which they put a layer of chicken pate as well. Normally to be health conscience though, I get the grilled chicken without mayo. Their papaya salad, although it costs a bit more, is a healthy alternative to the sandwiches.

Yeh Yeh's opened up around the beginning of 2012, and for a long time I've wanted to pay a visit. The high reviews raised my expectations, and after having lunch here, those expectations were met. I didn't even get to try any of their sandwiches, and already I'm hooked! It's such a small, modest, and cheap restaurant that's located relatively close to where I live. The space is kind of narrow and there are only eight tables, but I'm completely satisfied and I know I'll be back. I ordered a salad for $6.50. At that price, I didn't think I would be getting a lot. In that salad were two kinds of meat, some noodles, chopped vegetables, and a cup of sauce. It's actually pretty incredible. I thought I was getting a salad; I didn't know I was ordering a masterpiece. It bore very little resemblance to a salad and was more like a bowl of noodles except in a plastic tray instead of a bowl. And boy, it was delicious! I especially loved the hint of mint in the flavor. Simply exquisite. I also got a coffee-flavored milk tea that was good, but I was too full from the salad to finish the drink right away. That's definitely a good thing, and I'm glad that this restaurant can keep me so well-fed without me having to shell out too much money! They even have one of those offers on the back of their business card where you order ten drinks and get three dollars off the eleventh one. They also appear to be a family-owned restaurant, so I'm glad I get to support their business!

I hear the bread is made in house. Visibly, it seems smaller than regular banh mi. But Yeh Yehs fooled me. My bbq pork sandwich weighed at least a pound. Not the best I've ever had--like Rainer Ave shops--but not far from great. They stick to the typical ingredients, meats, pickled carrots/cucumber, mayo, cilantro, and jalapeños. The ingredients are fresh. I think if they considered using quality duck pâté they'd be playing in gourmet territory. Otherwise, it's a quick (outside M$ traffic), cheap, and absolutely quality. I still remember walking into that tiny shop behind a grocery store in Lynnwood in 2005. Now they're all grown up, with another tiny shop in an obscure 70s strip mall in Bellevue.

My husband brought Yeh Yeh's home for the first time last night and we were so impressed I had to write a review. First of all, the price point is amazing. For less than $15, we got two Banh mi sandwiches, an order of egg rolls and an order of krab rangoons. Everything was delicious!! The appetizers were piping hot even when he brought them home and the sandwiches were delicious. The bread they use is incredibly soft and all the veggies are super fresh. The meat is delicious and flavorful. I only wish they were open past 7 so I could get dinner here after the gym.

When you get your 6 year old to state: "Yummy!" then you know a place is fantastic. She was happily munching on her French bread and dipped it into the beef stew soup. Older brother and I were silently gorging on our banh mi with the difference being mine had jalapenos on it while his didn't. Yeh Yeh's itself is located in a typical strip mall just south of NE 20th street. Small place, clean, friendly two person staff that efficiently manages the operation. The sandwiches are inexpensive and - did I already say that? - super delicious. If you have a place where both of your kids are excited to go to then you reached parental nirvana. Thumbs up!

  • Tam V.

I'm sorry Yeh Yeh's. I did not like my banh mi. This sandwich you made me was not a banh mi. It was lacking in so many key ingredients, such as the proper bread (or at least the right bread to meat ratio), lacked the amount of fresh vegetables, and the meat was not seasoned enough. I don't care about pricing since its already cheaper than other lunch option but it has to taste great. Also, the ice coffee sucked. Could be the ice that you put that made it smell like mangos, but it also did not have enough milk/cream. Just an overall disappointing lunch adventure.

The grilled pork is a great sandwich, as is their frozen coffee. The other sandwiches aren't quite as outstanding.. but good. Love the bread they use.

Love this place for a cheap lunch, dinner, or snack. Their menu is pretty simple which makes it easy to order. The bf and I got two noodle/salad bowls which came w/ 2 types of meat, your choice of sauce, and veggies. I love that they offer either papaya OR noodles in the bowl, I went with the papaya and it was fresh and crisp. We also ordered a banh mi, the bbq ham special (bbq pork and ham) which was quite sizable and tasty. They do get busy during lunch, but the line moved quickly and you can always call in your order ahead of time!

  • Linda T.

It is fast, small place, nice staff. and I think the sandwich is cheap, like $4; but I ordered noodle, and it is just alright. not impressed. But I have high standard for Vietnamese food!

  • Hoc P.

This is no authentic Vietnamese banh mi !!! The Eastside desperately needs a good authentic Vietnamese restaurant and there are nada, including Yeh Yeh! Banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) here is expensive too. I paid for more than $4/each. In International District, it's $2.25 !!! What's up with the jacked up price on Eastside, especially places like this near Ross and Walmart?! Well, taste is OK if you just want to swallow meat. They got that right. A lot of meat. Vegetable is what sucks because they used the wrong vegetable for banh mi. Where are the sliced cucumbers guys!!? Also cilantro? Hello? The space is tight and smell like bleach when we ate there. So: absolutely not coming back. The only reason I go here is when I have American friends and we have to eat in this area due to all of our cars got flatted tires.

First time here. Food was delicious. Banh Mi should have a better meat to bread ratio but was still a yummy sandwich.

  • Shea W.

OMG. Bahn Mi and Boba. What more could you ask for?? I made a special trip here for lunch on my work trip because I had read this place had the best Bahn Mi in the Seattle area. I was not disappointed! You can also get any Bahn Mi Sandwich as I giant salad and suggest getting it will all the fixings a fish sauce dressing. Also my lychee boba HIT THE SPOT. Out in Bellevue in a strip mall but well worth the drive!

    (5)
  • Vincent C.

I tried number 7, the bbq pork and ham bahn mi. I would say it's just OK. This is compare to those I recently tried from San Francisco and San Jose. That being said, I don't know if there any better Bahn Mi place around. So I still give it a solid 3 stars. Just a quick tip: BRING CASH! They charge extra for credit card payment.

  • Eneri S.

Conveniently located in the Ross strip mall, but NOT conveniently closed on Sundays. Ordered the grilled pork banh mi with $1 extra meat, taro bubble tea with tapioca and the grilled pork noodle salad. Food was excellent. You order at the counter then find a place to sit, there is no wait staff so you have to bus your own wares. This results in tables that are full of crumbs. Definitely recommend this place.

    (4)
  • Gloria F.

Woohoo! I made it! Lucky for me, I was headed out to Bellevue today to make a delivery for a customer & figured I would make the detour to visit this yummy little sandwich shop. When I saw little, I mean little. It's pretty tiny. The tables are pushed up against the wall & you can only seat 2. My suggestion would be to order to go, you can also call in your order - do that. It was a pretty quick wait though, honestly. Less than 10 minutes, I was in & out. I got the Griled Pork Bahn Mi with jalapeño added (YUM!). The bread was so soft, but toasted to perfection. The meat was tender & the veggies + jalapeño...so much yes. Serving size is pretty big too (like double the size of a JJ sandwich, the loaf they put it on is wider). I can't wait to go back & try the other sandwiches they have on their menu! But bring cash - the sandwiches are under $5 (if you don't get a meal) & they charge you a $0.50 for anything less than $5 on your card.

    (4)
  • Laura F.

Wow, their banh mi sandwiches are so yummy! I always get the grilled beef with jalapeños. The bread is fresh toasted and very crunchy. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because the interior of the store seems like it needs a definite remodel. It's not dirty, but everything seems old and dated and just... not attractive. I wouldn't want to eat inside there. Most people seem to get their order to-go.

    (4)
  • Chip R.

Super cheap and delicious. I'm a Vietnamese food snob that frequents the international district in Seattle. Papaya salad with 2 meets for $6.50!

    (5)
  • Lars Z.

I'd probably rate it a 4 or 5 if I didn't think I got sick from it afterwards. The bbq pork seemed a bit... undercooked. The strawberry boba I got was wayyyy too sweet. Overall I'd eat here again if a friend wanted to, but wouldn't go here again myself.

  • Nora S.

Very disappointed. If this is the Bahn Mi the Seattle area has to offer, I'm a little sad. First of all, the choice isn't what it should be. If you are a strictly bahn mi place, why such a limited choice of sandwiches? They didn't even carry my favorite, sardines! Secondly, that was a sad sad tofu bahn mi. One of the worst even. Most tofu bahn mi are big disappointments, but this one more so than usual. The bread was soggy (bread on a bahn mi should be light and crisp!), there was way too much mayonnaise, the mayonnaise wasn't even garlic mayonnaise (really?!), there were hardly any pickled vegetables, and they had left off the jalapenos. The tofu wasn't fried well either. All in all a dismal sandwich. However their grilled chicken sandwich (ordered for my son) was much better. The sandwich was put together much better in general and the flavors were well balanced. Maybe they aren't used to making vegetarian fare. Bread was still too soft for bahn mi in my opinion. We also ordered the green papaya salad with tofu. Basically a pile of shredded green papaya and tofu. Some pickled vegetables. It wasn't great although a good portion for the price. Doubtful that we will return.

  • MaiLinh N.

Super disorganized ordering system. One gal was taking orders and making the sandwiches. She took 4 or maybe 5 orders after taking mine while she was making my sandwich. Kept stopping to take orders which didn't make any sense to me. I also got an iced coffee which someone in the back made and brought it to the front to the gal making sandwiches/taking orders but I didn't want to interrupt her any more than she already was to ask if that was my coffee and if I could drink it while I waited for my order. I was probably waiting for 10-15 minutes. I think it could have taken a lot shorter of time had she finished my order instead of stopping to take more orders. She was apologetic about the wait and was very nice, but just needed to get a better system. Sandwich was OK. Jalapenos had no kick and meat was OK. For the experience I had, I wouldn't return because I don't think the wait was worth it.

  • Jeannine N.

Great subs, tasty and value for your money. Try the papaya salad, it's good too. The pork, beef and chicken is all good and seasoned right. Plenty of topping and good portions.

    (4)
  • Ari J.

Papaya salad and Bahn Mi are my go/tos.. The joint is little more than a countertop and a line of plastic tables that lead to the bathroom... But it's clean and the veggies are always super fresh. If yer in Bellevue and wand a quick stop bite with plenty of parking this place has got your back... And will feed your front with some tasty ass vittles.

  • Kim V.

I loved the honey dew boba tea I got here and the bon mi bread was freaking amazing, but I ordered the tofu which was majorly lacking in flavor and was super soggy so it made the sandwich a mess to eat. I ended up feeling sick after I ate it too. I'll probably go back again for another tea but will stick to salad if I try the food again.

  • Regina L.

I ordered the grilled beef banh mi and strawberry smoothie. I guess banh mi is just banh mi to me haha.. I'm not sure what the big hype was about.

    (4)
  • Liane L.

I'm not sure what all of the hype is about because I was completely disappointed with my banh mi and noodle salad. I ordered a grilled pork banh mi, but it was more like a vegetable banh mi considering the ratio of vegetables to meat. There was hardly any meat; for the meat was chopped up into tiny pieces. Most places use a special mayonnaise, so I was surprised that their sandwiches didn't have it. That being said, I couldn't figure out why the bread was so soggy - there wasn't any sauce! But it could've been the mass amount of pickled vegetables. As for the noodle salad, it was nothing spectacular. It had the same small pieces of pork and the egg rolls didn't have any taste. It would've been better to choose another meat option. It also came with a side of herbs, which were sparse in comparison with other photos on Yelp. There are such better places for banh mi/noodle salad! Try Saigon Sunset instead!

    (2)
  • Mark Y.

Got the grilled pork banh mi. $4.15 good value. Not using fresh bread. And not using French baguette Flavor not that traditional. This more like a pork hoagie if you get my drift.

  • Elina K.

Thought it was good but my boyfriend who's actually Vietnamese said that they don't use some special sauce that other banh mi places in international district make it with. However, it being only my second time having banh mi, I thought it was yummy! The bread was nicely toasted, had a good crunch on the outside but was soft on the inside, the veggies tasted really fresh and crisp (kicker were the spicy jalapeños!) and the meat had that yummy Vietnamese seasoning but tasted kind of dry (idk if that's how it's supposed to be?) Altogether, thought it was a convenient spot to pop in and grab a quick Viet sammy! They also have other types of gourmet sandwiches, salads (veggie and papaya) and bubble tea!

    (3)
  • Brian C.

Wow this isn't your typical Vietnamese sandwich shop in that the sandwich is a really good sized sandwich, the bread is super fresh and it is stuffed full of really good food!! I got mine to go and ordered the Bbq pork and ham and my thinking was I would eat it at home. I decided I had to try a bite. I sat in my car and proceeded to eat the rest of the sandwich because it was the best Vietnamese sandwich I have ever had in my life and I have had my fair share. Their red chili sauce is awesome and I tried one of their egg rolls split two with a friend and it was also very good. I will be back to this place often!!! Thank you Yeh Yeh's for the excellent sandwich!!!

These folks really know how to make a sandwich. Great food, great prices, and good location make this a pretty regular lunch spot for me given how close it is to my work. So far I've stuck with the pork banh mi because it's so delicious although at some point I'll have to try some of their other menu items like the BBQ brisket or the Philly. The one drawback to this place is how it just looks old and run down and the staff, while efficient, always seem just a little off their game, but you can't really blame them too much with how busy they are all day long. Either way, this is definitely a place worth checking out if you are in the mood for a really good Vietnamese style sandwich.

How have I lived in Bellevue for two years and never been to Yeh Yeh's before! They had exactly one vegetarian option - the tofu Banh Mi. I'm not complaining, I was delighted to find that they actually did have something I could try! I absolutely loved it too, and I'm not usually a tofu fan. A soft baguette coupled with delicious veggies, grilled tofu with some flavouring on it and a jalapeno that added a nice kick to the entire sandwich - yum! And at $4.50 a sandwich, this lunch was cheaper than my regular lunches at Microsoft cafes. The only part that I didn't enjoy was the 20 minutes wait for my sandwich around 12.30 on a weekday afternoon. Perhaps I'll have to save my Yeh Yeh's visits for weekends

Just had the BBQ pork Banh Mi. Unlike the photo on their website of sliced loin with red dye around the edges, it was more like pulled pork soaked in a TON of red dye. Not sauce; dye. Couldn't eat it.

I was craving a Bahn Mi sandwich for lunch so I did a Yelp search and found this gem. For less than $5 (bring cash) I got one of the best sandwiches ever! The Grill Chicken is perfect! The bread is crispy outside and soft on the inside! You need to try this! You will not be disappointed!! Super fast too, which is great for a lunch time rush!!

Pork bahn mi was pretty good. Hubby had the papaya salad with pork and chicken. He was really excited since he's cutting back on carbs. Bummed that they didn't serve coke, but food was pretty good. The restaurant is pretty small so if you have a large party you might want to take it to go.

Simply the best bahn mi you can find on the eastside. I always get the bbq pork and it's great every time. Tasty meat, great pickled veggies and a nice crusty roll. I'd say these are bigger than most bahn mi and with more meat. They also have excellent Thai tea.

Sooooo...... I'm hooked. Noodle salad, pork and chicken, fish sauce and all the veg.... A side of egg rolls and a good blast of chili sauce. I'm now a 2-3 days a week junkie. So happy I found this place. Price is right.... Food is great....and they wear gloves properly. :-) !!!!!!!!! Yeh!!!!!!!!!

Yeh Yeh's? More like YEAH YEAH! Came here twice in a week because it was so good. The guys who work here work fast and they're really funny to chat around with. The grilled pork sandwich has me sold, I won't think of getting a sandwich from anywhere else again if I'm in the area. I love how they toast up the entire thing and it's piping hot by the time it gets to me, crunchy in all the right places. For just under $5 for a hearty sandwich with some of the best grilled pork I've ever had, I'd say this place is well deserving of 5 stars. The guys behind the grill go out of their way to make me feel welcome here!

It is good restaurant to eat. I like the grilled pork and grilled chicken. However, you need to bring cash since if you buy under 5$ you will be charged 50 cent. Also I recommend the beef stew. It is awesome. Also the noodle salad is so good. I will take my friend there. Love it.

My first time here, and I am in heaven! I was looking for a good place to lunch, while my dogs were being groomed nearby. The grilled pork banh mi sandwich is incredibly delicious. The roll was fresh and crusty, the pork was perfectly seasoned, and it had just the right ratio of pickled and fresh veggies to meat. This luxurious sandwich was only $4.15, but was VERY good sized. The only possible negative was that they were out of jalapenos today, but the sandwich was so tasty, I didn't miss it! The people who work here are really friendly too. Overall, this was a huge win, and I will be back !!!

Best bubble tea I've had yet! More like a fruit slushie purée - there are actual bits of strawberries visible amongst that sweet bubble tea goodness and tapioca pearls! Yum! This is my 2nd attempt at eating here this week - because I managed to crack a weak tooth while taking my first bite of soft bread and tofu yesterday. How does one crack a tooth on tofu? It's a new mysterious talent I have apparently. Yay me! So I'm back today, post dental fixit appointment, to try again. Along with the strawberry bubble tea I ordered the Tofu Banh Mi without jalapeños. So good! The Banh Mi was packed with sweet pickled veggies and very generous with the tofu portion. The bread was lightly crispy on the outside and very soft on the inside -perfect! Not sure if it's a sauce or just a fine dance mix of mayo and pickled veggie juice - but this sandwich is a sauce lovers dream! Very juicy, tangy but savory, and just plain wonderful! Yeh yeh's knows what they do best and they do it well. The menu is simple, easy to read and focused on two main entree choices: Banh Mi sandwiches or salads. That's it. Nothing complicated or fancy. Just good food.

They're as good as the reviews claim! This place had been on my list for a while. The bread was fantastic, and the grilled pork was some of the best I've ever had at a Vietnamese place. The only downside was the wait (maybe 8-10 minutes), but given we went in just after lunch rush I wasn't too surprised. It was worth it! If you're in Bellevue and want a delicious and reasonably priced lunch, Yeh Yeh's is worth a visit.

Normally I don't like banh mi. And am picky with what I choose. The time spans I eat banh mi is usuall y 1-2 times a year ( even when I lived in the OC where it was literally best banh mi ever) But this week I stopped by here twice. Major plus is they speak English, are accommodating to my requests, and it's thier bread and pate that's been spread all around rather just the center that has me in bliss. Sandwiches are light and the veggies are a good ratio! Def coming back here when I'm close by

It's a Sammy! It's a salad! Oooh with noodles too? Yeaa! I've been to this place several times, mostly on a time crunch in between meetings. I want/need something uber fast to go, I come here, I order and viola. On my way. The sandwiches are just right. I love the flakiness on the baguette. It is hard, crusty and soft all at once. And the meat? it is my favorite part. Vietnamese food is so tasty with minimal ingredients. Mostly grilled tasty meats, pickle radishes, some jalapenos, onions. It has just the right amount of ingredients. Topped it all with your choice of beef, chicken or pork. For salads, you can get it with half and half. You get a lot of veggies, grilled meat, vermicellis and sauce on the side for around $6! Talk about a steal. And everything is made fresh so no tasting left over/stale stuffs. it's tasty affordable and fast! Except of course, when I want Vietnamese ice coffee. It's an art and like every art, it takes time. Not crazy long but it takes a good 5-7 minutes for the coffee to drip and mix that oh so good condense milk. Hmmm! it's a perfect side for your banh mi or bun salads!

Went there after reading reviews on yelp. I drove down 20th Street and could not find them at first , somehow I kept missing their small cluttered sign sandwiched in between other stores. After driving back and forth for 15-20 minutes I finally figured out where they were. I ordered the grilled chicken banh-mi sandwich. The sandwich was very well made, the roll was delicious and the grilled chicken was spicy, but it could have been a little more tender. However, it was a Tuesday at 4:30 PM- perhaps not the best day/time to try a restaurant for the first time. For the $4.15 price, I think the sandwich is very large and filling and everything seems authentic and fresh. I also sampled a couple of fries from a friend. They were pretty decent. I will return for sure, I think their sandwich is perfect for lunch. I'm guessing from other reviews that the pork and the beef sandwiches are even better, but I'm trying to give up meat so I should probably not try them in case I get hooked! Update 4/25: I've tried them 3 more times, the jalapeños on the sandwiches can be really spicy but Oh So Good! The sandwiches are as great as ever but the $3 frozen litchee drink is out of the world! Get it plain unless you really want the tapioca balls in it. My friend also loved their Philly cheesesteak sandwich.

The best Vietnamese sandwiches in the greater Seattle area, bar none. The grilled pork is the way to go. The bread is soft but a little flaky on the ends and the fillings are full of flavor, with just enough creamy mayo. The best banh mi. The best.

This is pretty much what you can expect for any sort of Vietnamese sandwich shop. Typical menu of banh mi, beef/brisket stew, bubble tea, and Vietnamese salads. + pork banh mi is really good. Includes the basics of pickled carrots and daikon, jalapeño, cucumber, cilantro. + bread is huge and fresh + brisket stew is yummy, always hot and they give you lots of meat and carrots with the portion. Also comes with a baguette +/- Vietnamese salad is good however portion of meat with the salad seemed small Noteworthy: * small space so to go is easiest * busy during lunch so beat the rush or call it in * lots of parking in the lot + seems clean + I had special requests (no jalapeños, or extra tofu, or no noodles all salad greens) and they've gotten it right every time. 5 stars for quality of food, service and exactly what I expected from this place!

If I could give a million stars, I would. Yeh yeh's was my go to lunch spot before moving; you cannot find a better Banh mi. Both grilled chicken and pork are amazing, their philly is good too. Would love to see this local staple to expand to Eastern Washington.

Banh Mi was a bit larger than most, everything was fantastic. I had the pulled pork, it had that Bho Ko style seasoning. Pickled veggies were great, Im gonna get extra next time. My date had a veggie one that had some tofu and tons of peanut dressing and even though unfortunately, she soon afterwards shattered my heart into a billion pieces, I will make the trek from Seattle for this spot, its that good.

Seriously what is there not to love about these bahn Mi goodness??. I've only ordered their grilled pork and grilled chicken sandwiches but have yet to be disappointed. Plenty of juicy meat, perfect spicy jalapeno kick, crispy bread on the outside and soft on the inside... These are staples for me to take on hikes and road trips. They're light, easily portable, don't get soggy, and are happily filling without the food coma. Have heard some complain about a change in bread, but I personally am a fan.

Visiting from Vancouver, I've heard great things about yeh yen's and well...papaya Salad...SO GOOD...Banh Mis...SO GOOD. Their meats are delicious and you get A LOT with each order too. Only half a sandwich is more than enough! Got the Pork and Chicken sandwiches as well as the Chicken and Beef papaya salad with fish/lime sauce!

This place is so good, and the price is really fair. I've been to a lot of places where it was $10-13 for a sandwich (clearly taking advantage of the lack of options). I got the veggie/tofu sandwich. It was VERY yummy, but surprisingly I ended up taking the tofu off mid-sandwich and it tasted better. I think the tofu was too plain, but still a very good sandwich without it. I'll definitely be back.. Mmmmm :)
