Decent made-to-order burgers at an ok price with friendly service. I'll be back. FOOD: 3.0. Wibbly Classic with fries, and a Vanilla Malt. SERVICE: 4.0. Friendly and prompt. AMBIANCE: 3.5.

Awesome burgers! The century burger was great!

  • Ranran W.

Typical made-to-order burger place. Century Burger: I don't like the patty, too thin and a little bit dry. But bean sprout is a plus! Fries: above average Service: Friendly and quick. BUT cash-only is inconvenient. Anyway It is still a good choice for weekday lunch.

This place is pretty good, especially their fries. The staff is always nice and the burgers are good. I've been going there since I was a little girl. The main reason I love this place is the milkshakes. Try them out (especially the vanilla)!

Although delicious I was a bit put off on the fact that this burger joint only accepts cash. This is stupid because the majority of pretty much everyone hates to carry cash. The atm is the first thing you see when you walk in and I just find the entire cash policy to be pretty stupid. The restaurant was slammed for lunch hour. You would think with as much service as this place gets, they could pony up the 3 percent swipe feels cards. The food on the other hand was delicious. The Chocolate shake was delicious and the fries were abundant. The chairs however - that's another story. The chairs are awful and feel like they're about to shatter at any second. Overall, I'll return someday. I'll bring in my cash because I doubt this place will join the 21st century in the near future.

Love Wibbley's!! I've been going here since I was a kid and it just gets better and better :). They have insanely good shakes and have a good selection of gourmet burgers. I've always gotten the bacon cheeseburger and I will never stop getting it. It's freaking amazing. Crazy delicious. If you want a really good burger, come here now. Just make sure to bring cash as they are cash only. People here are nice and they make a really good burger.

I've been here a couple times and haven't been disappointed yet. My go-to order is the fried chicken sandwich with a side of onion rings. Hard to beat that combination of deliciousness, let met tell you. The space looks small from the outside, but there is actually plenty of seating so plenty of room to get comfortable and ready to enjoy a good meal. I'd say this place is ideal for lunch or for take out although do not forget to bring cash as they don't take cards. While this place wouldn't be able to compete with the likes of Lil' Woody's or Red Mill, I would have to say it is one of the better burger spots on the east side. Definitely hidden gem status.

Great burger choice in this area. Made to order and a nice grilled taste. Great fries as well and I may have had a shake or two in the past that are tasty. They only take cash

  • Yelpin C.

Not sure what the fuss is here. Sides are good but their basic burgers could easily be had up the street at Burger King! Needs a bit more to make them special. If on the search for a truly great burger, keep searching...

My friend dragged me to Wibbley's for lunch yesterday despite my earnest protestations. My reluctance to go stemmed from the following: 1) It was noon, and I had a 1PM meeting 2) I didn't want to eat a burger RE 1) I was pleasantly surprised that despite the lunch rush, we got our food super quickly. Staff was friendly and fast! RE 2) I really should have ordered a burger, it being a burger place and all, but I was being sulky and stubborn and decided to order the fish & chips out of spite. Um, best decision ever. First of all, I got 3 HUGE pieces of fish on top of a generous portion of fries. The fries were delicious, but the fish... PERFECTLY breaded-- very thin and very crispy. Maybe the best fish & chips I've ever had. Really. tl;dr... fast, friendly service. Best fish & chips ever. Coming back next time to try a burger.

Gourmet may be a stretch but the burgers are fine. It gets quite busy and hectic at lunch time and not great for groups.

  • Gautham V.

Great burger (I ordered the spicy one with a chicken patty substitution) and fries, and the shakes were absolutely fantastic. All this for under $14 makes me very happy indeed.

yum! Century burger is a must try! Onion rings are the best!!! This place is perfect for a family lunch on weekend. Very clean and kind staff :)

  • Ryan R.

This place was recommended by a customer I was working with. I really enjoyed this place. One critique was that it's cash only and you have to pay extra for the BBQ sauce but that's little stuff. I had the bacon burger with fries and onion rings and it was great! All together was $19

    (5)
  • Domino R.

Cash only. ATM on site. Food takes a little longer than regular fast food but it's worth the wait. Ordered the Century Burger based on the rave reviews and it was very good. Crisp bacon and crumbled blue cheese melting on the grilled patty. Sprouts instead of lettuce is a nice change. The fries were hot and golden brown: perfect! Overall a pleasant experience and way better than Five Guys.

  • Pone C.

Great food and fries. Way better than burger masters. Only con is that it's cash only. They do have an atm but I'm sure the fees are probably high so I always make sure to have cash going there.

Rude service, over-priced food, dirty interior. Strike out. Will be skipping this place when discussing "where should we get food" at the office.

Wibbley's Gourmet Hamburgers serves fairly typical American diner-style burgers with few menu options and no flair. They're not quite "gourmet," but I suppose that makes for a great advertising gimmick. Wibbley's has very small tables with very tall barstools, thus it isn't ideal for small children or large groups. I ordered a Century Burger featuring blue cheese, bacon, and lettuce (it typically comes with sprouts, but I substituted). The hamburger patty was slightly dry and wafer-thin. Paper-thin. Defying-the-laws-of-physics-and-cooking thin. I was immediately disappointed with the burger because of the skimpy piece of meat; mouth-feel was dominated by toasted bun and lettuce. The blue cheese accoutrement was nearly nonexistent, but added a slightly earthy, acidic flavor to a palate that seemed dominated by char. Bigger patties and more blue cheese could have hit this one out of the park. Was it good? Sure, but I've had better at Burger King. Wibbley's fries are fantastic and their servings are very, very generous. A standard serving easily feeds two people. The fries tasted fresh and look hand-cut; they are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, just like fries ought to be. A woman next to our table ordered fish and chips: the breading appeared to be the color of a "burnt umber" Crayola; it appeared to be dramatically overcooked and - judging by her general demeanor - probably was. Overall, "locally owned and operated" doesn't promise an authentic, religious burger experience. I'll give Wibbley's another shot, though a Red Robin burger - or a Five Guys burger - is noticeably superior. For a local burger, I'd head to EJ's in the University District.

  • Landon N.

Was a decent burger joint with the inside that probably used to be a bar. Had their century burger which was recommended by the cashier. It was average side burger with blue cheese and bean sprouts. Added onion rings and house fries which was about standard.

    (4)
  • Matt C.

Had burger there today and it was great. They serve a classic burger. I'm so tired of all the over-achieving burgers that are too gooey and packed with things that shouldn't be in a burger cost over $10. Wibbley's serves the perfect burger for my tastes.

    (5)
  • Regina C.

Great burgers and very consistent with quality and flavor. Cash only!! Young girl at front counter was a brat. She should figure out only nice people get tips...would've been 4 stars if it wasn't for her putting a major damper on our lunch.

  • Hoc P.

This is our burger joint for Eastside at this point. It's also near work and convenient. Parking a bit difficult because other businesses have designated parking for their own places. Watch out for a long line at lunch. There aren't that many seating either so prepare to sit outside or go-to. The burger is tasty, meat seems fresh and smell the smoky flavor just coming out from the grill. It's also served at the right portion, not too big or too small. Their shake is just average, nothing special comparing to Lunchbox. But it's good enough for us. If you want taste per price, this is the place to go. We will come back!

    (4)
  • Quincy S.

So, I had the Onion Burger. To be honest I thought it was gonna be better then it was the onions were over cook burnt taste to it. Not a real fan of this place but it was not horrible doubt if I will go back again. But if i'm in the area I'll give them one more chance

    (2)
  • Karen L.

I've tried the baconcheese burger, century burger, barbecue burger, and picante burger. I think the burgers here are good, although this may not be my first choice when I'm craving a burger. Out of the burgers I've tried, I really like the barbecue burger. It has barbecue sauce and fried onions. I would come back just to get that burger again. Their onion rings are really good, too. However, this place is cash only.

  • Deah C.

I was taken to Wibbley's yesterday and enjoyed it. My very large onion burger served hot, in a wrapper, no plate or utensils, was excellent, although quite messy -- as is any burger anywhere with sauce and tomato and the natural grease of the meat. Fries were crunchy and hot. Menu is very limited, but that was okay with me. My mocha shake could have used more mocha taste, as it was a bit too chocolately and not enough coffee for my preference. It was small, especially for the high price. Because of the rather uncomfortable bar stools, high tables and drop lighting that hits right in the eyes, Wibbley's is not a place that's amenable to hanging out for long after consuming the meal. Nor would this kind of seating work well for anyone in a wheelchair, even though the strip mall location is easily accessible. Counter ordering, but then they bring your order to your table. They get points for serving Coke, not Pepsi. I'll return to try another burger variety.

  • Lisa E.

Nice place but burgers are a little greasy. Liked the cheese though

    (3)
  • Eric V.

The burgers here are good! They aren't anything spectacular, but I'd probably say they're a cut above places like Burgermaster, Five Guys, etc. The fries are also great. I've always had friendly service here. Food is made quickly enough; about what I'd expect for a made-to-order burger. Being cash-only is a bit of a drawback; be sure to come prepared.

    (4)
  • David L.

Pretty good burgers! Long running and established restaurant. I remember coming here in elementary school (17 years ago..). Go chargers!

    (4)
  • Jason B.

Fantastic burgers! Really tasty. Be aware, they only accept cash. But it's a really good burger. The shakes are pretty good, too.

  • Heidi L.

Delicious burger! I came here yesterday for the first time, well after the lunch rush so seating was easy. Had the South of the Border and added grilled onions. It was made fresh, and was so hot and juicy and delicious! Very good quality. The fries were acceptable. Not bad. Pretty good. But the espresso malt I had was amazing! Good quality ice cream and real espresso! So yummy! I'll definitely be back! Warning: they only take cash. They have an ATM right there though (charge is $1.75).

    (5)
  • Shannon P.

I ordered the Century burger after reading the reviews. It was alright. Flavor was good, the burger patty was so small it was almost non-existent and I didnt taste the supposed bleu cheese. The fries are frozen and thick and taste like oil. Onion rings were alright as well. Based off flavor, id only come back for the burgers. Based off the price, I wouldnt come back at all. $10 a person for bland frozen fries, and a burger with no meat. Sad! I was hoping for better with this place.

    (2)
  • Kevin S.

Wibbleys does an okay burger, but the standard for "gourmet burger" has gone up over the years. The beef quality reminds me of frozen patties, not high quality ground chuck. The options for burger varieties are good but pedestrian. They do have gluten free buns which were nice. Staff was very pleasant. All in all this was probably a great burger joint that with shifting expectations hasn't kept up.

    (3)
  • Kevin S.

I had the century burger, seriously the best burger for that price range. Wanted something nicer than mcdonalds/Burger King but nothing too fancy...felt like it was worth much more than I paid for. Meat was so tender and juicy, the freshness of the sprouts really eased the grease, and the blue cheese really brought together all the flavors in an unexpected but delicious way. Goddamn.

  • Krystal S.

I had this place recommended to me by several people I know, one of which works at Wibbley's. I'm generally not a big burger fan, but these definitely hold their own in that arena for me. It isn't on the menu, but I generally ask for the BBQ burger. It is a burger that features a patty with cheese, BBQ sauce, onion fizzles, lettuce, and tomato - delicious! The milkshakes are also good, nice thick consistency, and the fries are O.K., although I much prefer the burger and a shake. The seating definitely does not encourage lingering for a long time, but sets a fun atmosphere and the to-go orders are always done quickly and wrapped up neatly to prevent your burger from coming apart in the bag if you would rather eat in the comfort of your own home.

    (4)
  • Jonathan H.

My first time here at Wibbley's. I had the century burger with onion rings, fries. and chocolate shake. The century burger was pretty good. I like the combination of blue cheese and sprouts. It's not a gourmet burger like the restaurant name says. But for $6, it is worth the price. If you want to gourmet burger, go to a steakhouse like John Howie. Onion rings and fries were good too. Shake as well. I am definitely coming back for more.

    (4)
  • David N.

The bbq burger with bacon is my go-to burger when im in bellevue. Honestly believe its the best burger I can find on the eastside. Add an order of fried mushrooms and a side of wibbleys sauce and youre good to go. When I need a change of pace, I go with the century burger. Its cash only so dont forget to bring some or you can use the atm on site.

This is my favorite burger place in Bellevue for a casual place to drop by and get a simple lunch. There's something I like about Wibbley's because the burgers are so well constructed (i.e. the packaging) and the french fries are really good too. I normally get the cheese burger + onion and the onion is a whole slice that you'd think would be too much. But, on the Wibbley burger it's sweet and really brings out the flavor. So, when you're in Bellevue and just need a hamburger + fries + milk shake (ice tea is good too), then go here and you'll be hooked. Next time I'm there, I'll take a picture of the burger so you can see how well they stack the layers of lettuce, tomato and onion on it.

    (4)
  • Julia Z.

Let me count the ways I love you, Wibbley's. 1) You make the best burgers on the Eastside. 2) You have the best fries. 3) Your staff is always friendly and the place is always clean. 4) Your location is actually pretty convenient for us. 5) Your fish and chips fish is hand filleted, hand breaded, and fresh. Dang. 6) You offer gluten-free buns!! 7) Your fries are gluten-free, and fish is cooked in a separate fryer. 8) You've finally listened to all our whining and begging and offer cheddar cheese! It is so unusual for a little mom-and-pop like Wibbley's to offer a gluten-free bun that I am just amazed. There's a $2.25 upcharge, but I don't care. It is so NICE to eat a burger on a bread thing after 9 months (Red Robin has g-f buns too, but these are better, and I usually skip it at RR). The cash or check only policy is still a pain in the butt though they do offer an ATM and prices are still a tidge high, but it's cheaper than Teddy's Bigger Burger. Really, it's on par with Red Robin price-wise. They will refill your soda for free while you're in the store if you ask nicely. And they still close at 8 pm during the week, and stay closed entirely on Sundays, which makes me sad. Still, I love Wibbley's very much for what they are.

Over price crap!!!!! If I could I would give it negative stars read reviews on how great the burgers are so we decided to give it a try. What a huge let down lacking flavor over kill with the lettuce the sauce is like tartar sauce. Definitely don't have to worry about them ever again. People stop lying on these places!

    (1)
  • Paul P.

I really like the Teriyaki Burger. They are cash only, but that sort of adds to the charm of the place, I guess. 4 stars for not accepting credit or debit cards, but having really good food and milkshakes.

    (4)
  • Max W.

Dont know why everyone things this is good staff wss nice its quick service, food sucked burgers big an charred, fries small and pretty okay, go to burger master instead

    (2)
  • Kenneth L.

Tried the century burger. Good stuff, first time trying a burger with sprouts. Gave it a nice texture and the blue cheese and bacon were a great combo. Had the chocolate shake which wasn't bad. Also... terrelle pryor dropped in while i was there, pretty sick!

    (5)
  • Amy K.

Tried after reading great reviews. Wasn't impressed. Burger was nothing special. All seating is bar stools - a real joy with a three year old. They do not accept credit cards. If I want a burger in the area I'll go to Five Guys. If I need to eat right there and now, I'll go next door to Taqueria el Rinconsito.

  • aliya B.

Wibbley's has really gone down hill from when I used to eat there. The meat is dry and lacks flavor, they are still out dated and do not have a credit card machine (I thought 10 years later they may have joined the 21st century) The menu has stayed almost exactly the same. The bun is cold, and they got rid of the awesome full bottle of ketchup they used to have when you ate in. Lame. Truly disappointed.

  • Aquala L.

This place is awesome! My boss and I had take out from here yesterday. I had the cheeseburger with onion rings and she had the bacon cheeseburger with onion rings. The burger has great flavor (charbroiled) you can tell these are probably frozen patties from costco but it is still a great place to go with fresh toppings and dressing is good (on the burger). Onion rings are great too! i really wanted a milkshake but i had to hold off but next time i will get it! I will be back!

    (4)
  • David B.

I heard a lot about this place and honestly it did not live up to the hype. For starters, they do not have a credit card machine, which would ordinarily be forgivable, if the food was up to par. I don't understand all the hype with the hamburgers at Wibbley's. Overall, the burger I had was bland, small and lacked flavor. The patty seemed like something one would find in one of those cheap frozen packs of burgers from Costco. The fries were equally bland, generic and tasteless. The general quality of the burger and fries did not justify the price. The shakes and the good customer service were the only redeeming qualities for my experience at Wibbley's. I was not terribly impressed and you're probably better off going to the Kidd Valley or Five Guys nearby.

  • nanu b.

Had their "south of the border" with roasted green chile. Another winner! Their patties are just super fresh, juicy and so flavorful needless to say rest of the condiments make it a super yummolicious burger. My go to burger place after teddy's in woodinville!

    (4)
  • L S.

Wibbley's burger is so juicy and full of flavor. There are tons of options to choose from and our entire family enjoyed the dining experience. Don't forget to order a delicious shake to go with your meal, it was fabulous! I can't wait to go eat there again!

  • Sam T.

I am trying to eat more healthy but when I walked into here I decided to just enjoy myself. I got the Santa Fe Burger I think - it was kinda spicy but super delicious. Well worth it. If I lived in Bellevue I would go here for a burger then to Lil' Taipei around the corner for more food haha... The burger is juicy and they don't have the craziest burgers but they are unique and stand on their own. Their patties are fresh never frozen and I forgot the meat fat ratio but it was impressive... The place is super clean and has aesthetics of a gourmet burger joint - I like it and recommend it.

Always excellent tasting burgers cooked to perfection. The teriyaki burger with pineapple is by far my favorite.

  • Dave T.

I've lived in Washington, New Mexico, California, and Arizona, and these are some of the best Burgers (and Fries ... and Shakes) I've ever had. YUM!

    (5)
  • Nicole R.

Fabulous burgers (the bacon on the baconcheese is perfectly crispy), great fries, and pretty good milkshakes. Though the milkshakes aren't really worth the $4 price tag... you may as well wait until your birthday to order one (free). Bonus - they have never messed up my order, and I always special order my burgers. One time, I had 5 separate orders for lunch for coworkers, and every order was correct.

  • Michael O.

When I lived in Bellevue, I would come here every weekend. I loved the burgers and haven't found a place I liked more in Bellevue since. This is (In my opinion.) the best burger joint in Bellevue. Everything tastes fresh, from the large portions of fries, to the lettuce on the burger. The patties are cooked just right and are always full of flavor. The shakes are fantastic too! I do think the menu could use some sprucing up however... It's very straightforward with nothing really "Special" or eye catching about any of the items presented. No original burger ideas are offered here. Reasonably priced and delicious, go check out Wibbley's!

Excellent choice for a quick lunch and a popular spot for Microsoft employees in the neighborhood ! Service is quick, seating sufficient for small groups of 2-5 and plenty of variety for the carnivores. Recommend the Century burger with oh so delicious bacon and crumbled blue cheese on it :) Could do without the tomatoes making the bun soggy though. My colleagues got the chicken, fish and mushroom burgers and they were pretty good too. Next on my list is the picante burger which has green chillies in it :) Very reasonably priced at around 5-7 dollars for a burger. Cash or check only was a bummer but they have an ATM onsite.

    (4)
  • Andy C.

Great burgers! I have tried almost all of their burgers, the Century Burger is a must have. Also recommend the South-of-the-Border and Picante Burger. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, great burger joint.

About as good as a Burger King burger. If you want to know what a good burger is like, go to a Redmill or Zippy's.

Was looking around for a new place to have lunch a few days ago and found Wibbley's! Surprised I haven't gone here before because I get Teriyaki frequently from another business in the same plaza and I've worked a few minutes away for over a year. First thing to note: If you plan on going, they only take cash/checks. They do have an ATM inside if you don't come prepared, but I'm not sure if the ATM charges a fee. If I could come up with any gripe it would be the fact that the patty is somewhat small but you can always purchase extra patties for $1.50 each. The burger was plenty big regardless. I got the Bacon Cheeseburger without tomato/pickle but it was still absolutely delicious. One thing that caught me off guard is that usually I'm not a fan of lettuce on a burger(mostly feels like a waste of space) but the shredded lettuce added a nice crunch and just added to the deliciousness. Seriously, it doesn't even make sense how good the burger was. Also, the fries were great and so was the shake. I got the Bacon Cheeseburger, a half order of fries, and a shake for about $12.50 which seems like a fair price. Not too high but not low. I'll definitely go again. Might even go today! 5/5.

Best gluten free burger in town, possibly in the state. Watch out for cash only, but a very very tasty burger. The gf bun was soft and flaky, clearly not your standard stale udis bun, and possibly homemade. Good quality meats, too.

I have been coming here for years. My usual order is the cheeseburger, fries and blackberry shake, but i've tried several of the burgers and they never disappoint. Burgers: fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked patty, soft buns. wibbley's offers the perfect, simple burger. sometimes i just don't want the enormous patties and crazy toppings that those other restaurants are doing to try to stand out. Fries: nothing too special. crispy and not too salty which is good by me. My favorite burger place in Bellevue!

  • Shawn N.

Very consistent. Service could be quicker. Tasty burgers. CASH ONLY.

  • Melissa F.

Ordered the teriyaki burger with American cheese with fries and a blackberry shake. Burger: Yes, proportional ingredients and a great bun. Teriyaki sauce was HIDEOUS. It was so salty, I threw most of my burger away. I can't imagine that is actually how it's supposed to be. They must have forgotten to dliute it or something. Killed me. Also it would have been nice if there was more meat. Fries: Awesome! Natural-cut and a little heavy on the salt, but just fine. Perfectly crispy and soft all at the same time. Shake: HEAVEN. Real bits of blackberry floating around. The thickness of the shake was just right. They only take cash, and service is awesome. Just.. watch out for the scary sauce on the teriyaki burgers. :(

Favorite Burger place... EVER!! The service is fantastic and so is the food! Don't forget to tip a little extra in their little mini metal shopping cart tip 'jar'! I highly recommend this place!

Best veggie burger in the eastside. No question. We tried all the locals and this is by far our favorite. Onion rings as fries are also great. My husbands a fan of the onion burger, I'm an original gourmet kind of girl. Their customer service is also great. One time they ran out of veggie patties and couldn't call us back to tell us before we arrived for our pick up. The next time we placed an order they didn't charge us. Very much appreciated the gesture. Great service, good food. We're fans. Oh, one thing to know-- they only take cash do be prepared. There is an ATM there if needed.

All I can say is do yourself a favor and try their grilled chicken burger with bacon. Excellent!. Plus, the place is clean and the people are friendly. The ONLY place in that complex I'd eat at!

I moved to Seattle 2 yrs ago and this is by far the best burger place i tried! i always get their BBQ burger which is really really really good that i get them every time I go there. Their mocha shake is really good too and the fries are phenomenal! I also tried the Picante burger and i just loveee the sauce they use. Wish I can buy them somewhere.. The place is clean and the burgers are fresh, and they have great customer service. I definitely recommend this place you won't regret it!!

This place is over rated. Five guys still better. I ordered the Bacon cheese burger and its not worthed for $5.00. The shakes tasted okay but overpriced.

  • Tina G.

This place should be called Wibbley's Hamburgers because there is nothing gourmet about their burgers....the menu is beyond boring. Usually when you get a real gourmet burger your salivating as you see the server bring it to your table that's not the case here folks. My burger lacked flavor, the fries were okay and the onion rings tasted good. All in all I just wasn't impressed with this place but I will say that the staff was friendly and my food was piping hot. Side note: I thought it was comical that Wibbley's has a website but they don't have a credit card machine...hello it's the 21st century. Most customers are willing to pay a little extra for the convenience of using their card.

  • Amy L.

Some of the best burgers in the area and great fries to go with them, kicks the pants off of five guys especially in the fries department. The century burger is my favorite; bacon, blue cheese, and sprouts, YUM! I recently came in and had the daily special with hot mayo and jalapenos and it was delicious as usual. The burgers are big enough to fit the bun all the way out to the sides but pressed down so they aren't super thick and they are cooked perfectly. The place is cash only but they do have an ATM right in the lobby.

    (5)
  • Chris A.

Wibbleys is'nt cheap and they don't take debit or credit so bring money with you, the food is good, be prepared to spend 5-7$ on the burgers alone. I thought Kidd Valley Burgers where good but Wibbleys is better. Its a hidden Gem in Bellevue!

My favorite place for a burger on the east side, I always suggest people try it out,the flavor is awesome. Everything is cooked fresh. it's worth the extra few minutes.

This little joint has some awesome burgers. I drive by it to my work everyday and haven't noticed it until very recently. But when I finally decided to check this place out, I took my colleague and came here on a Friday afternoon and boy was it crowded. This place is very small (although the seating was comfortable) and waiters here do their best to accommodate everyone asap. I liked my onion burger (substituted with a veggie patty). Strangely, their burgers are not awfully huge like in fast-food chains but decent size enough to satisfy your appetite. Fries are great as well but half order might just be enough unless you haven't had food since last two days! Tip: If you are a vegetarian like me, order any burger and substitute it with a veggie patty instead of going with a generic garden burger, if you wish.

It's good but not the greatest. Your typical burger and fries kind of place. You can split their fries with 4 people. Don't come here without carrying Cash or Check since they don't take debit. If you want a real good burger go to BROILER BAY over on Main Street.

Ok so let me preface this by saying that eating here is a gut bomb and a pure cheat meal indulgence. I will go here once every few years. I have to say that these burgers are yummy and they taste like I remember burgers tasting in the pre microwave days when places still made burgers to order. This is what you are going to find here. Dont bother with the pretense that this is anything other than a meat eating establishment. Whoever said the comment about chickaterian, you are an idiot (i give your intellect 1 star because I cant do 0). For starters there is no such thing as a chickaterian anymore than peskatarian. You eat meat or you dont. Fish = Meat. Dont bullshit. That said, I dont recommend anything but a real burger. That is what this place does well and it will be very tasty. The fries are actually some of the better ones. Not too greasy, firm and crisp and never soggy. Also they dont kill you with salt. That said, dont think for a moment this is even remotely healthy. This is a cheat meal. Its greasy, messy and delicious. Go ahead and go by yourself if you dont want anyone to see. Its ok. Really it is. Now I have about 10 miles I need to run on the treadmill to oust this meal!

Have been here many times, decided to write a review after going with my son yesterday. The burgers are great. I have the veggie burger sub'd in, and still very good. The shakes are very tasty. The onion rings are a bit overpriced for the amount you get. I'd go for the fries.

Was awesome bacon cheese burger. Best place we will be back when we come down for our visits

Pressed burger, shakes are fantastic, thick crispy fries, and consistent. Overall: Refer

Their burgers are quite tasty. They're made quite immaculately, though it's hard to really say that about burgers, but there was hardly any mess to eating. I'd recommend them if you're looking for a decent burger in the Eastside area. I certainly wasn't disappointed and I'd come here again.

Pizza should have thin crust and burgers should be thick. The burger patties here are THIN. When I eat a burger, I want to be full, not eat mostly lettuce and bun. I won't be returning.

I eat here all the time on my lunch break. They are fast and food is awesome! Love the onion rings and the fish burger yum!!

I've only tried a cheeseburger and fries, so I can't comment on the shakes, but based on my experience, 3.5 stars would be the most fitting rating of Wibbley's: The cashier was friendly, and the service was fast. The burger was simple and delicious. The fries were hot and crunchy. But the overall aftertaste was lackluster. I realised that I prefer peanut oil and more spices on my fries; and more ingredients than lettuce, tomato, and pickles on my burger. While my meal was delicious, it was modest, 1/2 a star too modest for 4 stars.

Best burgers ever! My favorite is teriyaki burger, but century burger, bacon cheeseburger and mushroom burgers are all close seconds. Fries, deep fried mushrooms, shakes, everything here is amazing! I used to get to eat here weekly when I worked in the area, but now I have to drive about 45 minutes for a Whibbleys, but still worth it! The original YUM!

Absolutely love this place. Definitely a hidden gem. Anyone who says 5 Guys Burgers, Kidd Valley or Fat Burgers are the best burgers in town absolutely does not know good burgers. The blue cheese burger, southwest of the boarder are my favorites here. Onion rings are a must, and best of all...this place has the best milkshakes period. The owners say that some people who live in Seattle take the bus to Wibbleys just for their shakes. Price is a bit pricey, look to spend about $12-$14 for burger, onion rings and shake.

    (4)
  • Jens J.

Wibbley's is OK. They have a newpaper article on their wall bragging about the freshness of their meat, but the beef on my burger seems to have be a frozen patty at one time. Nothing special, in fact the burger had a hospital cafeteria taste and texture to it. Good chocolate shakes. The onion rings (beer-battered)...meh.

  • Jane C.

Tip: cash only but they do an ATM machine. I've tried their century burger which has bleu cheese and their picante burger which has a perfect blend of spices for my Asian taste buds. Love their old fashioned fries. Perfect golden crisp! Delish! The patties aren't greasy and you don't feel gross after eating the whole meal. Perfect satisfaction! It's a bit out of my way for a burger since I live in Seattle but I'll definitely be going back whenever I'm in the area. No wonder why they've in business for so long~

I had the teriyaki burger (sans mayo) with added bacon, and onion rings. The burger was hot, juicy, and tasty. The tomatoes tasted fresh and the bun was soft. The burger was a tad thin compared to the bun but the flavor still shone through. The bacon was nice and crisp. The onion rings left something to be desired, being not very flavorful nor crunchy. The chocolate shake was pretty good, it wasn't overly sweet and had a better level of chocolate flavoring than Hershey's syrup. $30 combined bill for the three of us to eat a filling meal isn't bad for the neighborhood, though for the soda prices I expected a larger cup.

My other half is pregnant so although there haven't been weird food cravings sometimes there are very specific requests for food. Last week it was "perfect french fries". Off to yelp I go with this criteria and find Wibbley's Gourmet Hamburgers. Usually I would have found a couple of comparisons, but I read one review that put Wibbley's in the same category as Char-grill and quit searching. For me, Wibbley's is as close to Char-grill as I'm going to get on the West Coast. The burgers were fresh and tasty. Perfectly cooked with enough toppings but not so many that the burger was all topping and no burger. And according to the pregnant one - the french fries are perfect. We didn't try any shakes this time around but I'm sure we will be back.

Stopped here tonight after shopping at Cash & Carry which is in the far end of the same complex. They had so many mixed reviews that I thought I'd see what I thought. First, I wouldn't call them GOURMET. They are pretty standard burgers non-fast food chain burgers. If I see gourmet, I envision very thick ground chuck. That being said, it was a tasty burger, much better than most of the places serving similar burgers. They claimed "Char Broiled" and I didn't watch, but it sure looked like a regular grill - yet it tasted Char Broiled. I had the Bacon Cheese burger and didn't opt for a second patty as I wasn't that hungry and knew I'd be eating later in the evening. It was juicy, but not drippy. Sure they used a big pile of lettuce, but I like lots of lettuce so no complaints from me. The lettuce and tomato seemed fresh, the bacon was great. It was a good combination and the price was less than the comparable upper tier standard burger places (Kidd Valley and Burgermaster). The counter girl was very friendly as was the owner (owners's wife?). I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but I wouldn't hesitate to stop again if I was in the area.

Love Wibbley's burgers, and I have to say the fish sandwich is the best around in my book. Great service, not too expensive, CASH ONLY is the one thing that annoys me, but I keep coming back. UPDATE: They changed the fish sandwich, burgers are still awesome, but pass on the fish burger. Looks and tastes more like a filet 'o fish now...

"You'll love it more than In N' Out. Trust me on dis one!". I was promised this by some folks I met (from New York - 'nuff said) that these were the best burgers they'd ever had. They weren't. Worth three stars if I hadn't of spent 20 bucks just getting the 3 burgers for me and the kids. No drinks. No fries. Just three burgers and it was 20 bucks. Doesn't hold a candle to In N Out. Doesn't even hold a french fry. Save the 20 bucks and put it towards plane far down to Cali or AZ to grab some sun and wonderful burgers. I'm here for you, Kevin

Damn perfect burgers! Damn shame you can't find a seat! Forget Red Robin, toss the Fatburger away, this joint has the best burgers in town. (Actually their fries and onion rings are pretty freakin' good too.) Instructions to enjoying Wibbley's: 1. Enter the no-frills burger joint. 2. Peruse the wooden menu on your left while _waiting_ in line. 3. Step up to the counter and order *your burger here* with a half order of fries and onion rings and drink. 4. Stand around and _wait_. 5. Make a quick but subtle dash for the next open table. 6. Sit around and _wait. 7. Enjoy your perfectly cooked burger and piping hot sides. (Don't forget the extra napkins.) 8. _Wait_ to leave. (Just kidding on this.) It deserves 5 stars for the food but take one off for the wait; it's not their fault but I hate waiting. Also, I'd like to see Red Mill vs. Wibbley's some day... I'll volunteer to judge!

A perfect burger every time. Great friendly people and super clean!

Wibbley's used to be one of the best hands down. They changed their fries and they are not as good as the old fries. Still the burger is good. The shakes aren't bad either. Bring cash or checks they don't take cards. I wish they would bring back the old fries back. The place is packed at lunch time.

    (3)
  • Rex B.

THE GOOD: Char-broiled tastiness THE BAD: Cash & Check only THE LOWDOWN: Never heard of this place before, just saw it as I was driving just the other day. Today I happened to be in the area and stopped in. No line, not packed, the place reminded me of a pub. The tables were high and the seating was stools. The decor was dark, but not dingy. I got the bacon cheeseburger and a half order of fries. Out the door it set me back $7 and change. The fries are your standard industrialized par-cooked, pre-frozen throw in the fryer junk you wish they didn't serve, but do anyway. The burger on the other hand wasn't bad. Not a huge patty, the bun was pretty big and mealy, the bacon was almost non-existant, but when you did you get some the result was a nice collaboration of charbroiled meat, savory bacon, gooey cheese(American) and fresh tomatoes and shredded lettuce. Solid burger, nothing special, but worth the dinero. I will most likely take my wife here one day, but I won't be going out of my way, and like the 3-start rating says "A-OK"

    (3)
  • Andrea M.

I hate shredded lettuce! The burgers here are whatever. I think they used to be good, but now they're blah. I have heard that the shakes are great. The fries were hot, but that's pretty much all I can say about them. I probably won't go here again.

    (2)
  • Don M.

I went there for lunch this week. WOW. Had a chocolate malt. You need to share the fries with your date cause they are a lot. The burgers are charbroiled and that is such a nice change. The burgers are large and the order comes quick. They take cash and checks so plan ahead. Best burger I have had in 10 ten years.

    (5)
  • Kim M.

These guys have been my favorite burger place for as long as I can remember! My favorite burger - The Century Burger - Nicely charred burger tastes like it came from my backyard BBQ and then add the blue cheese, crispy bacon, and sprouts and Man-O-Man...I am in heaven. The bacon is always nice and crisp which for me is important. The portion of fries is enormous so I always order the small but they are good. Yes they do just take cash but they added a cash machine in their lobby making it always possible for me to get a great meal! :)

    (5)
  • Aaron D.

Man. What a let down. I mean, they have burgers, but so effing what? Their sides kinda suck, their burgers are average. They lose a star for not taking credit/debit and one for having crappy hours. If you want to simulate the experience of eating here, then go to Red Robin up the street from this place, pay cash, and when you're done, just walk out into the parking lot and punch yourself in the face. Or don't. Either way. It's up to you. Just don't go here. And if you see their "Yelp loves us" sticker, rip it down and burn it.

2.5 I haven't been here in years, this place has gone downhill since my last visit or I've developed amnesia. Given I recalled the exact number of friends and reviews of participants in the event today, I'm voting against amnesia. This business has what I have come to call the "kiss of death", or as it's more commonly known...the "yelp loves us" sticker. Nothing spectacular. The burger was typical of any "look we aren't a chain" and even some "we are a chain, but cool" places, the fries were standard, the onion rings good, but not great. The shake, just as "yeah, so it's a burger and a shake" as everything else I had. *sigh* Someone ban those damn stickers. ETA: No booths, tables w/ barstools, packed at the noon hour. For yet another Eastside event, my perfect attendance record (competitive much? =P) and the always excellent company of yelpers, an invisible 3 extra stars.

    (2)
  • Adam M.

I felt compelled to write in, because the reason i walked in to eat here is the YELP! sticker on the door. Anyone who calls a food item "gourmet" which contains process american 'cheese' product singles is guilty of false advertising. period. gourmet? I dont think so. better than burgermaster? uhh, barely. oh. I need to reply to a previous post.. can someone please translate the following? is this "yelpspeak"? "Bonus stars (not awarded to Wibbley's, btw) for the great company of what are becoming "regular" EYL attendees, and also for the "DP" action on Riss' onion ring by Chris and Betsy (you can see it on the local pics)..."

Sub-par food plus poor service yields 2 stars. After being recommended this place by Redmond locals and a bunch of Softies, I thought I'd give it a try. My son and I went on a Monday night which wasn't that crowded. Here was my experience. Ordering: took a while to get ordered...perhaps understaffed that night. The ordering seems to write down grill orders but not drinks, etc. I had mentioned that I wanted fries and assure you i was charged for them (more later). Service: we didn't get our drinks until we were almost done with dinner. For a soda, that should be immediately provided. I mean seriously. For the chocolate malt...sure I understand that takes more time. But you should pour a soda while I'm getting my wallet out to pay. Service part 2: after we finally got our food I reminded the fellow that we ordered fries. He looked at me like I was mistaken...despite having just ordered not a few minutes before! He said he'd 'check the ticket' and get back to me. I knew how this was going to end up. He came back and said I didn't order them. I assured him he rang them up. He said he'd check again. At this point, the customer service wonk in my was just thinking -- shouldn't he just get me the small fries and call it good in the sake of service? He didn't. He proceded to bring back my grill order ticket and pointed out that he didn't write anything down. Listen dude, is it my fault you forgot to write it down? No, it isn't. I didn't make an issue out of it, but after asking 3 times I would have expected the "sorry, I must have missed it" attitude rather than working so hard to prove what we already knew -- you didn't write it down. Food: Here's the thing...you call something a "Gourmet Burger" and it better be. It better not be what I can get at Sonic. Unfortunately the Wibblet's Gourmet Burger was just that...a sub-par hamburger that had nothing gourmet about it. What is gourmet? Seriously, what...someone tell me. I realize they have other options on the menu, but I ordered something called the "Wibbley's Gourmet Burger" -- it was a basic hamburger. And not good. It was barely warm and did not taste like good meat...it tasted very much store-bought patties. There was really nothing enjoyable about the burger. The only thing moving my rating from a 1-start to a 2-star was the malt. Well done there. Not having a good experience here but craving a burger, we went to Fatburger (yes a *chain*) the next night and I realized that Fatburger is actually a really good place -- hot burger, made fresh to order. Save your money at Wibbley's and go to Fatburger. People have said I should return for lunch and perhaps get a better experience. Not sure I will.

My partner and I were both hungry so we decided to stop in for a burger. I had the Century Burger (blue cheese and bacon) and she had the mushroom burger. I have to say I have had better - this place cooks the meat really well done and my burger tasted dried out. Had to add some A1 sauce to spice it up (though I do appreciate that they had A1 available). The fries are fresh and plentiful, but overall not too impressed with the burgers. probably will go next door to Taqueria Riconsito next time.

I thought this burger was going to rock my face off based on the reviews here. But sadly, no. I got the chicken sandwich, and I don't think I've ever seen a thinner slice of chicken in my life. Sad. The bun was a bun. The tomato was fresh and cold, which was nice, but how do you screw up cutting a tomato? The fries were good, not crazy good. Like Chris H said, you CAN get a much better sandwich at Wendy's. Which is sad. We DID go back in for a chocolate malt after lunch (we tried to hold back, we did!)- and THAT was really yummy. But we were there for a burger, not a malt, so 2 stars. Maybe 2.5.

    (2)
  • Chris H.

Meh. Thats about the only response that can describe Wibbleys tasteless burgers stacked on paper flavored buns. After reading reviews on here I was excited to go to Wibbleys and try one of these awesome burgers, yet old Wibbley let me down. I could get more flavor from a Wendy's burger! The fries that are raved about were nothing to be noted, one thing for sure is they weren't perfectly cooked. I don't know how people could be so hooked on Wibbley's when there are actually good burgers for the same price or cheaper within the same vicinity. If you want a burger like wibbley's that tastes good go to BurgerMaster or Kidd Valley. But if you want a superior burger that will put all others to shame the only place for you is Broiler Bay in Bellevue. Also if you plan on a noon lunch here, come early or be prepared to stand.

Solid burger joint in a very unassuming place tucked between an ice cream shop and a taqueria. My friend and I went there for lunch almost by chance and weren't disappointed. The burgers are all hand made, and cooked to order. I had the special of the day a picante burger. It had a picante sauce, jalepenos, and swiss cheese. All I have to say was fabulous. My friend had mushroom and swiss burger and said it was pretty fantastic. Best burgers we've had on the eastside by far. Recommend just getting a burger as they don't seem too heavy. We got a side of fries too, which were good, but made us feel awful later because of all the grease.

I can...and did...haz cheezburger. With chocolate shake. And stole some of the half order of perfectly cooked fries from my coworker. Happy now. Must take a nap.

Have been going here for years, originally opened up as an old fashioned English Pub type of gourmet burger place. We've always been impressed with the decor, cleanliness and quality of the food. It's now been bought out by someone else, and they've been able to pretty well maintain the original charm and quality. Many burger choices, fries, quality shakes. I recommend you try this place for a different burger experience.

for chickaterians ( non beef pork) there are not many burger joints but still this one is not that great .. i would say the sandwitch OK. fine if u are in area and need to eat some burger ....still i would say red robin s better in spite of being chain restautant ..

I was going to go next door and get some tacos but then I saw the glorious words "gourmet hamburgers" I'm a sucker for a good burger.. I got the mushroom burger and fries and kicked its a** ! The guys in front of me wore their dresses to lunch today cause I heard them talking about how they couldn't eat all their food and next time they were going to split a bag of fries. PPPFFFF!! Amateurs.. anyways, great food and friendly service. They don't take cash but they do have an atm next to the counter..Oh and get some wibbleys sauce,Mmmmmm

I want MEAT! Grrrrr!!! On a day like that, I go straight to this burger joint. They don't freeze the meat. They get fresh veggies everyday.(according to the owner) And that shows. Yes, hamburgers are hamburgers. But there is In n Out burgers and McD burgers. You see? My favs are: South of the border, century burger and mushroom burger. Their fries are crisp and tasty! (but don't get the full order. half is plenty) Onion rings are to die for! Mmmmm. I am not much on the sweet stuff but people swear that their shakes are really good. Meat, anyone?

Wibbley's, how I wish I had the metabolism to partake of all your temptations on a regular basis. Your food is all good: burgers, shakes, and fries . . . and all for not much more than you would pay at the fast food outlets. Wibbley's hamburgers . . the name has all the magic of Smucker's jams. But we're talking hamburgers not magic, and they have about a dozen good ones to choose from. My advice is that you consider carefully which burgers you try on your first two visits, because you will probably like them and have a hard time convincing yourself to try any of the others. Such has been my fate. I am stuck on the century burger (blue cheese, bacon and sprouts) and the (loaded) mushroom burger. Despite all the choices, their burgers are relatively straightforward. Their beef patties and buns pretty much look like the drive throughs. What sets them apart is the same thing that sets apart a good pizzeria: good ingredients are combined in the right proportions with consistency. (Look at the bacon in their bacon burger and you'll get the idea.) In total they get a solid 4 stars on my score card. There are better burgers around (that cost twice as much) and if that isn't a poor enough reason for deducting a star, I'm also not thrilled that they cook their burgers long enough to keep me healthy rather than happy. Well, this is where this review ends. Go there for the burgers and you'll eventually find out that they have some other surprises on the menu and everything they serve is good. Do remember though that they are closed on Sunday, and if you want fast food, phone in your order about 10 minutes ahead.

    (4)
  • Ben M.

My wife and I enjoy a Wibbley's burger every now and again. (We're always a little sad when they aren't open on Sunday's and we feel like having a burger.) While I don't know that I would go so far as to say they make a "great" burger, I can say that it is better than chain places like Red Robin when it comes to burgers. I guess it really depends on how picky you are about your burgers. Warning on the fries: A half order is easily enough fries for 2 people. (Probably even 3) A full order would probably cover a family of 4 easily. If I was looking for a burger locally though at this point I think Wibbley's would be at the top of my list. (If I was staying in Bellevue)

    (3)
  • Tiger W.

Wibbley's was ok when I lived in Bellevue. Much better than a lot of the fast food places in the area, and it was one place I could be safe from that horrid, shitty weed everyone calls 'cilantro' that seems to be sneaking into food it doesn't belong in everywhere I go eat... The fries were always ok, the shakes were pretty decent, but I don't know where they get off calling themselves gourmet burgers. I mean, it was better than Jack in the Box or whatever, but it wasn't the best burger I've eaten by far. Definitely needs a bigger location, though if you don't go during the M$ rush, you'll usually find a seat. The atmosphere is pretty quaint too, w/ bar stools and tables.

  • Tialen K.

I really don't see a difference between this place and kid valley in terms of the meat. Yes there are more choices for your toppings etc.. but I was a little disappointed with the quality of the meat personally. sigh, I miss fuddruckers

Best burgers around this burg. Great burgers Decent Fries Decent Onion Rings Great shakes

    (5)
  • Thomas N.

Its a really great burger place and the fries come in huge portions that are delicious. The staff is really nice and the atmosphere is cool. The shakes are also good. The only downside is that you gotta bring cash, no debit or credit cards.

  • Sarah R.

Several coworkers of mine had heard rave reviews about this place, so one of them picked it up for lunch for us. I had a basic cheeseburger and french fries. The fries were decent. The cheeseburger was mediocre at best. The patties were clearly preformed (think Costco style), which is not something that I would consider to be gourmet. I might eat here again if I was in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

    (2)
  • Carl F.

In my mind, the best burgers and fries in the Seattle area. At most places, I'll pile on the toppings for the burger, and you have that option at Wibbley's. But for some reason, the regular burger (no cheese) works best here -- don't know why. The fries are the best anywhere.

  • Scott C.

The best burger joint in Bellevue is often overlooked in it's unassuming strip mall home as most people flock to the big Burgermaster sign seen so readily from SR-520. You generally have to know someone who's told you about Wibbley's as it hardly stands out and is easily missed. Inside its clean and almost feels like a pub apart from the fact that its not, but Wibbley's surely beats all fast food joints on that front and offers pretty much one thing: hamburgers that rival most any you've had before. Judging from the crowds one can see at lunch, this place isn't going to close anytime soon but I'm always afraid it will since I've often seen a 'Help Wanted' sign in the window...for the last 10 years or so since I've been going there. Yep, that long. Sadly I don't get around to that neighborhood much anymore, but still am hopeful that one day I'll again be able to pay a visit. Things to know: the full order of fries is huge so its usually best to split it with someone or get a half order. I haven't had anything on the menu I haven't liked. Generally its hard to beat a burger cooked to perfection at home, but somehow Wibbley's consistently does that. My favorite: Bacon Burger w/ fries and a Vanilla shake. Grab a stool quick as there often is a big crowd, else you won't have a place to eat. Sometimes its a bad thing when a restaurant doesn't change at all over the years, but in the case of Wibbley's this is definitely a good sign since there is little room for improvement.

OK - This is one is an exception. Normally i wouldn't go on some fancy pants review website and announce to the world one of my all time favorite burger joints in the world, but since I no longer work on the east side, I made an exception. This place is located in the mother of all strip malls. Terrible area, ugly shops - a stones throw from roaring 520. But he burgers are downright AWESOME. Get the bacon cheese - you wont be disappointed. No uber grease ball burger either, these things look like the ones in the magazine commercials, not smashed and tattered. OK - so the burgers are good, thats only part of the equation. The fries are SPECTACULAR! Some of the best fries I have ever had, honest to God. So now we have a well rounded meal set up....BUT WAIT - the shakes will put you over the edge. FAN-FRICKEN-TASTIC! Only downside is a million Microsofties at lunch crowdin' up the small joint - but fight em, jab em, do what you must to get the 3 items I stated above. You wont mind goin' to jail for assault to get it.

A few years ago, I heard you get a free shake on your birthday. So I gathered 3 friends and checked it out. The burgers were greasy and not really enjoyable. The shakes were good. Since then every birthday my SO and I have been going there for a free shake. They always gave it to us until this last time, when they said we had to order something to get a free shake. I don't think I would eat this food if it was free. (I mean sure if I was starving...) so I'm definitely not paying for it just to get a free shake. This was the second greasiest burger I've ever eaten. The first greasiest was a plate of "sliders" from TGI Fridays.

I tried this place three times, just to confirm to myself that I wasn't just cranky the first time I went there. In light of some of the reviews, I felt like it must be something about me. But, after spending the dough for three burgers and sides here, I have to say that I simply CANNOT understand what anybody who gave this place four-five stars is thinking. This, to me, is everything that's wrong with the state of hamburgers in Washington; proof positive that the standard for what we eat and how it's presented is shockingly low. I sat and watched the cook (owner?) and his assistant (wife?) make the burgers and, having been a chef for over 30 years, that told me what I needed to know. I can't swear to this but I believe they're using those pre-fab, previously-frozen food service patties that many restaurants that don't specialize in burgers use for their combination of dirt-cheap cost and convenience. They were almost completely tasteless, tanned more than cooked (NO nice crusty grill sear and rubbery in texture), and served on the most generic, pasty, turns-to-a-doughball-in-your-mouth, food service buns I've ever seen. I don't, seriously, think it was even as good as the omnipresent Gai's or Franz rolls that almost every burger joint in Western Washington uses. The lettuce was fresh but there was, all three times, WAAAY too much of it; the tell-tale for a restaurant that's trying to make their burger look substantial by trickery, rather than by meat. Their "gourmet" burgers are the usual, predictable combinations you're gonna find everywhere else that sells hamburgers; nothing "gourmet" about any of it. The fries were adequate and the shakes were the best part of all three meals but, on the days when I was there, the restaurant was in dire need of a good cleaning and their attitude and service from behind their counter was just short of dismissive. (By God, I KNOW I'm getting crankier as I get older, but I am FED UP with going into restaurants and having the staff saunter up to me and go, "He'p ya?" and look at me as though they'd rather be having a root canal. I've started speaking up about it, now, and it's just a damned good thing for Wibbley's that I wasn't doing it then.) Wibbley's has the look and promise of one of those little hole-in-the-wall eateries that don't get much attention but will wow you with the quality of the food. Unfortunately, what's on your plate doesn't even measure up to the McDonald's sitting a block away across Northup Way. The very fact that they don't have people telling them, outright, that they ought to take the word "Gourmet" off their sign shows how low the expectations are around Bellevue for good hamburgers.

I have been coming to Wibbley's for years. The food is consistently good and they waitstaff friendly. My husband and I can share a burger and fries the portions are so generous and the milkshakes are hard to beat. Coming to Wibbley's is a special treat I look forward to so I don't mind planning ahead and having cash with me. The burgers are cooked to order and served up quickly- perfect for a lunch hour run.

Hands down, my favorite burger joint on the east-side (or west-side for that matter). Bring cash - they don't take credit. The prices are reasonable. Only bummer to this place is finding seating - if you show up at noon, good luck.

Wibbley's, what happened? You used to be sooooooooo good and I was craving a Century burger! I was fresh out of the gym and craving a big fat juicy burger with fries. And I thought I knew just the place. It was this great little burger joint that I used to frequent when I worked in Bellevue a couple years ago. This place is a hole in the wall and was just a short jaunt from my old work and my current gym. I had always liked this place, it had that mom and pop feel to it and was unassuming and the food was delicious. But when I went last Friday, this was not the Wibbley's I had come to love, it had changed and I hardly recognized it. The service used to be friendly and quick but on this night the cashier was busy talking with what I assume was her BF and took her sweet time getting back to the cash register, sorry for bothering you to do your actual job. Then I ordered my old favorite, the Century burger. I love it because it comes with bacon (mmm bacon!), crumbled blue cheese and sprouts. Yes sprouts, I thought WTF too when I first tried it but it's really quite tasty and really completes the burger. Unfortunately they are having some weird ban on sprouts, much like tomatoes just a month or so ago, so there were no sprouts. Now I can't really blame them for the sprouts debacle but it sure brought the burger down a peg or two. Also, the burger was just ok, it kind of seemed like a frozen patty, I was not impressed. The size of the meal was nice, an ok sized burger and lots of fries, and that was the half order! But the food didn't impress me and the service was crap. I see other reviews that attribute this down hill decline to the fact that they have a "The people of Yelp love us" sticker and apparently it's the sticker of death. I hope not, I really liked this place and it's convenient so I hope they make some changes soon but I guess if people keep giving them money for their now "mediocre" food then what incentive do they have? Ugh.

I went there with high expectation because I saw many positive comment in Yelp. But I felt this burger restaurant is just an average one. And more, though the burger is average, the price is a bit expensive...

This is not a great burger at all! Went there Friday because I read some pretty good reviews. Well those people obviously have never had a good burger in there lives. This thing the call a burger is a over cooked piece of frozen meat, mine came out like a hockey puck. The fries were ok nothing special going on here except the workers. Not sure how this place is getting 5 stars. Must be trading burgers for good reviews.

After reading the mixed reviews of Wibbley's on Yelp, my wife and I went there last night for dinner. I have to agree with the reviewers who said it is just OK. I ordered an onion burger with cheese, fries, and a chocolage milk shake. I thought the burger was just ok (about average fast food quality) and the chocolate shake was pretty mediocre. The fries, however, were fantastic and the best part of the meal. My search continues for a burger place in Washington that I love as much as In N Out burger.

The burgers and fries where ok here. The major downside is that they don't accept credit and the food is a bit pricey. The food has to be extra ordinary to make me go through the hassle of getting cash out before I go somewhere.

This is the best burger joint for a great fresh grilled burger. I prefer the Century Burger - a blue cheese and bacon burger with alfalfa sprouts. Their fries are great too, although I generally don't order fries, and they have pretty good shakes. You pay a little ,ore and you have to wait a little longer to get your food, but if the lunch time crowds are anything to go by, then it is totally worth it - and a hot off the grill burger that tastes great is totally worth it!

I used to eat here a lot when I worked in Bellevue. It's not gourmet, nor was my order ever taken by a white Christian girl with straight hair and white teeth. In fact it was always a pleasant older Asian man. But this place for sure beats fast food, and the price is easy on the wallet. Make sure you bring cash though, they don't accept credit cards.

I didn't really know what to think of this place as I had never heard of it before. A couple of my friends and I needed someplace to eat so we chose wibbleys on the recommendation of another friend. First off I gave them a call to see how late they were open and was surprised to find out they are only open till 8pm. What restaurant closes at 8? Anyway, so we make it there at 7:55 and walk inside and the place is pretty small with bar stool tables and chairs on the right side about 10 tables total with the register and kitchen on the left side. The menu is hanging on the wall directly to your left which is something different because each menu item is painted on a rectangular piece of wood. The prices are nice and cheap basically 5 bucks a burger and if you add a big bag of fries mine came out to 8 and some change. Although I did get a double decker which costs like a 1.25 more to get 2 patties instead of one. So we sit down and chit chat for like 5-10 mins and our food was ready. The fries were good they serve the half steak fry kind basically bigger than the skinny fast food fries but smaller than steak fries. As far as the burger goes it tasted good and it was a pretty big sized burger for 6.50. They let us enjoy our meals for as long as we needed and even gave us refills if we needed them. I have no problems with this place its a change from the usual fast food joints and sit down chain restaurants. I would go back again.

Even though Wibbley's hamburgers are made with basically the same standard thin factory patty we see all too often around here, they do achieve of level of smokiness that must be given some praise. The Wibbley's burger is just a basic assemblage of standard burger components you'd find anywhere, but the flavor is pretty decent. The fries are also nicely crisp despite being thicker than a shoestring fry. Similarly to how Wibbley's seems to pull off a good burger with a factory-made patty, they also seem to pull off a decent milkshake made with soft-serve and flavoring syrups. It really surprises me. If you like shakes, give their shake a try. Keep in mind that seating gets tight during lunch time and they don't take credit cards. The staff is extremely friendly.
