I don't know anybody who became vegetarians because it tastes so good, but the food at Sukho Thai could make me cross over......almost. I love being a carnivore too much, but their food is going to force me to put them on my regular rotation. The vegetarian buffet was fantastic. There was a great line-up of soups, salads, appetizers, veggies, curries, rices, noodles, and more. Today the star of the buffet was the Crispy Garlic Vegetables with the Phad Thai and the Curry Puffs close behind. They also have seafoods if you order off the menu.

To be fair, I have not tried the food at this restaurant. Their website claims that their food is healthy and they strive to use organic and free range vegetables and meat/fish, however, they use genetically modified canola oil to cook in, which is NOT healthy. blogs.naturalnews.com/gm… wellnessmama.com/35804/c…

[Dine-In] I am not impressed by the food and service by the rating of this place. We found the food disguised by salt and fish sauce that it was almost off-putting. The seafood proportions seemed to have come from a low quality assortment of fish, small shrimp, and squid. For me, the flavor missed the mark. The mango sticky rice was also had underdone pieces of rice. Although these observations were not the best, I would not mind going to this place again but I also would not pick this place as a first choice. Service was slightly awkward. I'm not a fan of waitresses eating their lunch while watching everyone else eat their meals. Food took abnormally long for only having another 3 parties in the room. Dishes ordered: Pad kee mao, papaya salad with fish, mango sticky rice

I was disagreeing with my friend about coming here, but was pleased to have lost this argument. This was a delicious defeat. Thai green curry, pad thai, fried veggies made me forget there was no meat at this vegetarian buffet. Delicious flavor and crowded at lunch so be sure to come early or you'll be waiting and salivating.

Holy tofu! I can not say enough great things about this place!...and yet I will say just enough so they get the 5 star review they deserve! 1. This food is phenomenal!! Anyone would love it, not just vegetarians! Their vegetables are chosen perfectly and cooked perfectly! They aren't soft and secondary, they are the main course and cooked exactly as intended. Their sauces are not overly salty, like some others can be, just the perfect spice and flavor amount to make the dish what it was probably originally intended to taste like, centuries ago. The ultimate comfort food while at the same time the ultimate fresh food. Quite the skill! This is not your everyday Thai and it's not from the lack of meat, it's from its exceptional attention to the detail in their dishes. 2. Their people are worthy of all this!! They have earned these stars and compliments. The very first day I went in, and just for a quick lunch, I was greeted by the chefs who explained in detail to me the dish I chose and its authenticity to Thai cuisine. I was alone, stuck on my phone but they went out of their way to make sure I felt at home there. Sukhothai is 1.5 miles from my office and my favorite new thing is to walk there, eat the best meal of my week (albeit a quick one, which they help make happen!) and then quick walk back. All in my lunch break. This place is my favorite!!!! So thankful it's here!

I am not a vegetarian, but this was the tastiest Thai food I've had in a long time. Every dish exploded with flavor and I didn't even miss the meat. The curries were especially good. Thai iced tea with coconut milk was a real treat. Great food, friendly service and great decor. Really feels like you are in Thailand. Need to come back for the lunch buffet.

Review on lunch buffet only. The lunch buffet is $10 and all items are vegetarian. I know they also serve seafood here as well, but none for the lunch buffet. No biggie. It's fairly cheap anyway. Overall, food was kinda just ok. Araya does it better, but none on the east side anymore. The tom Kha soup was good. They also had spring rolls, two curries, Swimming Rama, phad thai, fried rice, and a couple other stirfry items. Nothing was wowing, but ok for a weekday lunch. Yelp 10% off does not apply to lunch buffets.

Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. They have a buffet set up and the dishes were hot and flavorful. The curries were very good and the pad thai was nicely balanced (sometimes it can be too fish sauce or too dry or too sweet!). Great for a quick vegetarian lunch.

This food was so good, I wanted to lick the plate. ThiS is the first time that I had vegetarian food and I didn't care that there was no meat. The yellow curry--delish! The black rice pudding? Delish! This place is going on the regular rotation list.

Excellent food and superior service. The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond the call of duty. A gem in the burbs. I will be back. Curry was delicious!

Let's be honest... I never thought having a vegetarian meal could be so delightful! So happy to have discovered this new place. The location isn't on any main roads but it is off the street. Parking is a bit complicated but if it's slow you can get a decent spot. The service was friendly and quick. I came around happy hour and they have a great happy hour menu! ordered the yellow curry which I think is probably the best yellow curry I have ever tasted! Mmmmm it was so yummy. Big chunks of Potatoes, carrots and smooth base. Unique flavors, not the typical curry flavor. Served on the side was crisp naan type bread. Also ordered the happy hour veggie spring rolls. Crisp and packed with clear noodles and sliced veggies. Very yummy as well. The waiter charged me for rice that was never delivered even though I asked her once that it was delivered. Not a big deal! Mistakes happen. I'll be back soon !

We went to Sukho Thai for lunch today from work. They have a vegetarian lunch buffet for $10. The food was very tasty. I loved the hot and sour soup, puff, green curry and pad thai. It was lovely :-) Recommend for vegetarians in the locality to try it out. Fresh food for a great price!

The best Thai salad dishes in the Seattle area. Nice seafood add-ons. Also great for vegetarians and vegans. Combine that that with exceptional service and elegant decor. We'll be returning to explore more of the menu. Update: 2nd visit was less than stellar. Maybe a different chef. It dropped my original review by one star.

Vegetarian. Yes, for a meat eater, it's death like the sound of fingernails on a well tuned chalkboard. This place makes it fun to eat veggies, I nearly forgot that meat was missing from our plates, and the flavor was bold and delicious. They have a wonderful menu, with classic Thai items; curries and a very delicious Phad Thai. I love the environment, it's calming and dressed very well, the wood interior was beautiful, and the server was amazing. They were attentive and kept our water glasses comfortably full. The parking is limited in their private lot, luckily, there is a lot of street parking nearby, and it's a quiet street, just off Bel-Red. Of, if you truly can't avoid the meat, they have seafood.

Their crispy garlic veggies and veggie pad thai are my favorite. They have a really good variety and would certainly recommend it.

Yummy Vegetarian Thai food. A timely replacement for Araya's untimely closure in Bellevue. The place is tiny so do show up early.

  • Yumiko K.

Granted Araya's Place in U District has a better buffet (quality and variety), Sukho Thai's buffet isn't half bad at all! The restaurant is decorated beautifully. I love the bench seating with lots of fluffy colourful cushions. All the staff were super attentive and smiley. They were excellent. I am not a fan of their Phad Thai. It was a bit bland, clumped together, and mediocre at best. However, there are lots of good things about their buffet. I love that they serve both brown and white rice. Curry puffs (similar to samosas) and Tom Kha (coconut soup with mushrooms) were my favourite. I also loved black sticky rice with coconut cream. Both red/yellow curries as well as spring rolls were delicious too! All these + more for $10 after tax? What a great deal! I am so happy that this is a vegetarian/pescetarian restaurant. I have to go back there and try out items from their regular menu.

~we went here to eat dinner. We had the seafood pad Thai, papaya salad, and veggie stir fry tofu. It was okay. Little tangy. Looks like a the restaurant is a house. The price was reasonable. I like how they decorate the dishes. Thank you!

Best Veggie Thai I've had. :) Highly recommend it. :)

  • Jonathan H.

I had the lunch buffet here and it was very good. I normally don't eat at vegetarian restaurants, but their food is so good, i don't even notice that I am eating vegetarian. They have two type of soup. Mushroom and hot and sour. I really like the mushroom soup. I had two bowls of it. The pineapple rice is good. Pad thai is ok. The red and yellow curry were very flavorful. Choice of white or brown rice. It has a small salad bar, with spinach salad, oranges, grapes. For dessert, it has sweet red bean. This will be one of my regular lunch rotation!

  • Sheril D.

Food and service was wonderful! We started with spring rolls that were very fresh and tasty. We then had their Tom Kah soup with tofu, wonderful. We had Penang Curry with Shrimp for our main dish, tasted fantastic as the rest of our meal. The waitress brought us Black Sticky Rice with Coconut Milk for dessert, it was a new dish for us, and is now one of our favorite.

  • Bam B.

They have buffet! They have great tasting vegetarian dishes. My sample of their buffet had the egg rolls was ok mostly cabbage. Their potstickers were ok. Their Tom yum was ok. The Tom khan was awesome! Their stir fry egg plant was ok. Their Phad Thai noodle I didn't like. Their fruit salad was ok. Their green curry is ok. I love their tapioca pudding desert wish it would be on their menu. Their taro & lotus with fake meat was awesome! Their fake meat taste like ham sort of. Their yellow curry I wasn't much of a fan the base was a bit sweeter than I like. The green curry had a better tasting base. Thai buffet very fresh compared to Chinese buffet. Very nice sweet couple who owns it.

This is probably the best Thai Lunch Buffet I ever had. Keep in mind that it's all vegi though but they are so good. You will be surprised about the variety of stuffs available for lunch. They are all freshly cooked. I think only one or two items are bit oily (like the egg rolls). They rest are awesome. This place is new (replacing the old Saigon City) so lunch time is very quiet so far.

  • Lisa-Ann O.

My mother and I popped in on a whim for lunch. I am so glad we did. The staff was friendly and polite, and the food was delicious. We started with the roti and yellow curry, which was fabulous. The yellow curry is rich but not overpowering and the appetizer came with a bit of chutney that paired beautifully with it. The phad see-ew was the best I've had in years, loaded with fresh veggies that were still crisp and not cooked into limp oblivion as so many places do. The Rama Garden was also very good with a peanut sauce that was light and full of flavor. So much better than the thick gloppy stuff I've had in other places. And the black rice and coconut ice cream for dessert was perfect. We'll definitely be back. Often!

  • Matthew S.

Friendly service, mediocre buffet. No seafood on the buffet, and nothing was particularly good. They also have curry but no rice to put it on, which made no sense.

  • Dawn D.

Oh. My. Goodness. This is GOOD Thai. I enjoyed a complexly delicious (if slightly spicy for zero stars) Yellow Curry with Tofu. And, of course, the Sticky Black Rice for dessert, which I ordered with condensed milk instead of Coconut Ice Cream, was DIH-vine. My partner enjoyed the Pad Thai with prawns (although she noted the spiciness of her zero star dish, as well). She also enjoyed the Spring Rolls, perfectly crunchy and delicately balanced. If you like Thai, do yourself a favor and try Sukho. I know I'll be back.

  • Jyotsna N.

We went there for ala carte but checked the buffet and it looked good, so we decided to try that out. And thankfully we did! The food was good, and had just the right number of items. There were two soups available but i liked only the vegetable one. The spring rolls were pretty good as were the ginger fried veggies. No breads but they had both brown and white rice. The rest i don't remember much because by this time I had tasted their black rice pudding and it was sooooo amazing! (I am going back there soon, hope they have the same dessert!) And yeah, did I mention it was all only for $10!!!

  • Keith S.

Ordered online to-go and tried the vegetable plate plus an order of rice. The vegetable plate had very few vegetables (just tofu onions and bean sprouts), and tasted over seasoned. The rice was an extra dollar when I arrived for some unexplained reason. The meal was rather expensive for what I got, I feel like it should have cost 8 bucks at most, rice included but the total was over 12. I may try again since it's close to my work and order a different meal. It's possible that the vegetable plate is just bad. That still doesn't account for the extra rice charge though which was disappointing. CS was friendly enough and everything else was ok with this experience.

Love the food, ambience and excellent service. I can't believe their prices are so competitive to boot. I love their Pad Khee Mao and the Coconut milk tea. Its my goto place whenever I'm in the mood for some Thai.

There are some restaurants, you go with little expectations, but then they completely blow your mind and taste buds. Right from the ambience, to the food, food presentation, and customer service was absolutely awesome. The dessert black rice pudding was heavenly. This for me is the best Thai restaurant in east side for now.

I came here recently for the lunch buffet and was definitely happy that I did. The atmosphere is very quiet and calm, which makes it a great break from a busy day at work. The staff are very attentive and polite. There isn't a huge selection of foods at the buffet, but everything they offer is excellent. The curries are so rich, but not overpowering, and I really like that you can get brown rice with it. The Thai tea is also amazing, you can actually taste the tea, unlike other places where it's way too sugary. The only reason I give it 4 stars rather than 5 is because I think the pad thai could be better, it's a little lacking in flavor. Still, I like this place so much I'm considering making it a part of my weekly lunch routine! :D

I ate lunch with a good friend here yesterday. I had the Phad Kee Mao with scallops. It was so good I'll have to have it again soon. They have a spicy level from 0 to 5 stars 5 being the spiciest and I had a 3 it was just right right on the edge of almost too spicy. I need a couple glasses of water to wash it down. My friend and I came just when early dinner was starting to believe they close until around 230 to 3 p.m. There is a buffet section also and the restaurant is actually a lot bigger than it looks like as you walk in. it was clean and decorated nicely and the people that work there are very friendly. Our waitress never let our glasses even close to empty which I like because I needed a lot of water yesterday. I'll be back here soon. I'd like to try one of their appetizers or desserts there was quite a few delicious sounding ones.

Delicious dinner! Panang curry was flavorful and spicy (3 stars for heat). The tofu was a perfect texture and the veggies were great. I highly recommend this place- great for groups and vegans!

  • Kino M.

Great food and great staff. The staff was definitely accommodating and attentive, filling our water every few minutes and checking how we were doing. The price is just right and I love that there are vegan options. My only complaint was that it was loud and I couldn't really have a conversation with my husband. I will be back for the buffet!

  • Kazuo O.

Who knew vegetarian food could taste so good. For $10 you can't beat the price. It would cost you that much just for Pad Thai at other places. Every entree they had on the buffett was on point. Didn't eat anything that I didn't like. My favorites: - Yellow Curry - Crispy Vegetables - Spring Roll

I met with a friend for dinner here earlier this week and had a fantastic meal. Right off the bat, everyone we encountered was friendly, and just walking into the restaurant smelled amazing. We came just before six so we were able to get an order of spring rolls at their happy hour pricing. They came out piping hot and pretty standard as far as spring rolls go. I also ordered a Thai iced tea, made with coconut milk -- it wasn't as noxiously sweet as many Thai iced teas I've had, and it was served in an adorable mason jar mug, awww! For my entree I asked the server for her recommendations and ended up with something I probably would have never even considered ordering -- the pomelo and crispy rice salad. So delicious -- reminiscent of the crispy rice bits at the bottom of dolsot bibimbap, paired with tartly acidic chunks of pomelo and lots of cilantro, I was totally in love with this dish. It was made even better by upgrading it to include fresh, perfectly cooked scallops. I ate a ton and never felt gross or sick because it was such a light meal. Ugh, so good. When I feel like a light, fresh meal, Sukho Thai will definitely be on the top of my list for the Overlake area.

  • Joyce J.

I really enjoyed the lunch buffet. I came here on a Saturday with a friend just when it opened. The items were quite fresh then and had lots of choices. There was even fried bananas. The overall ambiance is quaint. You feel like you are in some cafe where you can have a quiet time with friends. Granted that no dishes really stood out from my mind, but overall it was good value for $10 a person.

First time here (just moved to the area) and we're quite impressed! Great menu options, friendly staff, and fantastic food. Loved the Tom Kha & garlic pepper- Finished off with (in-season) mango & sticky rice. Om nom nom nom

  • S C.

Nice plating and decent ambience. But the flavors were just lacking full authenticity. And this is the first Thai place which has 'American' spice levels - a 3* dish tasted just the same as 1*. I'd rather eat the dishes with 'no meat' at other Thai places if I was veggie.

  • heather j.

No buffet on Sunday's, but the menu did not disappoint! Everything from the spring rolls to the green curry fried rice to the chu chi salmon! You will not be disappointed. It is fresh and delicious. Will definitely return to try the buffet!!!

  • Amy M.

Pros: Great ambiance, wonderful happy hour, food tastes great, quick & friendly service. Cons: Seems a little pricey ($15 for a lunch entree?), not very accommodating I asked for a small portion of fried rice (not an entree size) to go with my noodle dish. They said they could not do that unless it was full entree size and price. I was disappointed with that and will probably go somewhere else for lunch. I'll still come for happy hour though. Otherwise five stars.

First of all, thanks you guys for suggesting this place. I was looking for a good vegetarian restaurant. Here is the place!! I was amazed with the buffet items. They offer full course (appetizer/salad/soup/curry/entre), varieties and unlimited. I find it's too dangerous to eat the buffet for I might end up, rolling out of the place. So, I stick to my diet, only one dish. I asked for the special menu. hmm. It's in Thai. If you couldn't read Thai, go take couple course before eating here. Otherwise, show up at a very late afternoon and ask your waitress to help you. Here is what I got. It calls "Hoi Tord". Nice flaky crush of the flour and chewy tofu and egg on top of abundant sprouts. Be daring to put the Sriracha alike sauce. The sauce is more sweet than spicy. The portion of this dish is pretty big. I originally thought that I would probably have some leftover for dinner. Turn out, I finished this dish. OMG I should stop there but I wasn't. I still ordered a dessert. Blame my curiosity!! It's sticky rice with dried fish topping instead of mango!! Yum yum yum The restaurant has its own limited parking but you could park on the street side. To avoid the crowd and enjoy the ambient, go by late afternoon. Next time, I would make sure not to eat anything for three days and try it buffet!!!

A quiet place with a great, modern ambiance. I'm not a vegetarian but I love the vegetarian dishes here -- so flavorful and wonderfully presented! The service was good and the menu offers a lot of interesting options. And they don't skimp on quantity either, I was quite impressed with what I got for the price. Check it out!

I got an upset stomach from our dinner here tonight. Never again. I had a rotten carrot in the Yellow Curry that came with the Roti. It was so gross I had an immediate gag reaction and spat it out even though I had barely bitten in to it. When I mentioned it to a waiter, he promptly took the dish away and asked if I'd like it replaced. (Note: no apology!?) If you just had a rotten bite of something, would you like to have more of it? NO THANKS! Right at the same time, out main courses arrived. It was actually really hard to stomach more food but I so happened to not have had much food for the day, and I really wanted to rule off the rotten carrot as just a freak mishap, so I chose to persevere... The rest of the meal was uneventful. The rotten carrot never mentioned again. I don't know if I am expecting too much, but I was honestly quite upset. They never apologized or even attempted to make sure I was ok. I couldn't help but feel like they didn't know what to do with me, or couldn't care less and would rather I just leave ASAP. My stomach started feeling strange as I tried my best to eat my crab fried rice. I couldn't finish. As soon as hubby was done eating his dish, I signaled for the check, I just wanted out. They did take the Roti off our check, but again, not even a single word of sorry. I understand shit happens. I eat out often enough that I've experienced my fair share of bad luck. How the staff react and handle a mishap, though, can actually ADD points to an experience. Here, it was not the case.

This is pretty much the NEW go to spot for me and my husband. The food here is so refreshing and yummy! My current favorite dishes are crab fried rice and mango salad with fried cod. Soooo good! Usually my husband is a meat eater. But this is the very first place where he said out loud that he loves Thai food with tofu haha. Quite an entertaining for me to see how he reacted on his first vegetarian dishes. He now always finds an excuse to eat out more just to go to this place which of course....lucky me since I cannot wait to try other dishes on the menu as well.

If you like flavor, friendly people and a great value-this is the place for you. Very happy to have this veggie alternative in the neighborhood

  • Joel R.

I think I like Araya better, but considering they closed their bellevue location, if you live on the east side and don't want to drive all the way to seattle for some good veggie buffet, this is not bad at all. It's also a plus that you can order seafood dishes if the veggie isnt enough. Price is decent, but I would pay a bit more for more dessert selections.

I don't know about other people, but I crave yellow curry dishes, perhaps too often. This craving lead me to look for a Thai place in Bellevue. I know, lots to choose from. But Sukho Thai is really special. Yes the food is deeevine, well thought out with layers of flavor. Best yellow curry I've ever had-generous portions too. Garlic crispy tofu was so yummy. The atmosphere sealed my love for this place! Tasteful, neutral jazz-played at the perfect volume. The owners are sooo nice. The decor is cozy, modern and comfortable. (the bathrooms are immaculate!). They only opened 4 months ago, I'm pretty sure they're be here for the long haul.

I never thought vegetarian Thai dishes could taste as fantastic as meat dishes. Sukho Thai on Bel-Red road in Bellevue proven me totally wrong. They offer a wonderful fresh buffet for lunch (til 2:30) Mon-Sat for $10. Or you can eat from the menu anytime. Dishes are vegetarian or seafood only and nearly all veggie dishes are vegan. Food is wonderful. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant is comfortable & pleasant. This is.....hands down.... One of the best area restaurants ever.

This place is fantastic! I was sad when Araya ' s closed up in Bellevue, so I was thrilled to find Sukhothai. Clean, friendly, fast, and very fresh. I am still limited because I am vegan and gluten-free, but at least they have a couple of options.

  • Mike S.

First of all I'm nowhere close to a vegetarian and prefer meat with my meals. Then the moment came when I walked in I could smell the wonderful curry's and dishes and was mildly optimistic. Got greeted by the servers and host they were very friendly they explained how the buffet works. They had a great selection of salads and soups as well as a good selection of main dishes. Once I tried the food I forgot it was vegetarian and got lost in pure enjoyment. I went back way to often if I could have this food every day I would consider converting to being a vegetarian. PS.... I dream about this place now that I work too far away to go.

  • Scott H.

I'd probably give 5 stars if I had dinner here. 4.5 stars for their lunch buffet! It was so nice to enjoy fresh and quality food while given so many options. The cashew rice, yellow and green curry were yummy. The buffet offers appetizers, salad, soup, up to 5 moan dishes and a dessert. On the weekends its $11.95, and an awesome deal! I will be back, every time we are in the area.

It's such a cute little family - owned place! I tried their... - Thai ice tea made with coconut milk (versus condensed milk); its a nice blens between the sweetness of the coconut and the aroma of the tea. - Crab fried rice & mango salad with cod fillet - wonderful flavors and portion is very generous for its price.

Let me start this out by saying that I am not a vegetarian and I'm also wildly skeptical when it comes to food in the Bellevue/Redmond area... But this place is incredible. Super cute interior, great service and absolutely delicious lunch buffet. Great way to spend your lunch hour. What more can you ask for?

I came here for lunch today and thought the food was great. The tom kha soup was delicious. However, I have 2 complaints about the service. 1. As the server was cleaning up dirty plates, she decided it would be a good idea to quickly take a spoon out of dirty bowl filled with something saucy and move it to the plate. Unfortunately for me, this was someone else's dirty bowl (and sauce) and the sauce landed on the table, on the seat and on my purse. Gross. Servers should not be putting other people's dirty dishes in front of you and they shouldn't be attempting to clean them up/consolidate things where accidents like this can happen. I can forgive this because it was an accident, but it was still gross. 2. We asked for separate checks and the server asked us to come to the front to pay. She didn't present us with an itemized bill, but rather told us the total ($12.86) and I handed her my credit card. I thought I had seen that the price for the lunch buffet was ~$10 so I was confused why the total was so high. It turns out she had charged us an 18% gratuity and she had failed to mention that she did this. So all of my friends had paid $2-3 in gratuities ON TOP of the 18% she had already charged us. A 40%+ tip was really not warranted on a lunch buffet. When I asked her to come back and clarify (she had walked off by this point), she confirmed that there was a gratuity and she begrudgingly returned the credit card slips that had been put aside so we could adjust the additional gratuity and again walked off.

Our new favorite Thai on the East Side. Amazing food and super friendly service.

The bus dropped us off right in front of the restaurant so we thought, why not? Had the buffet which included two soups, some spring rolls, pad Thai, fresh and garlic fries veggies. Also had a yellow curry and fruit for dessert. All vegetarian and all pretty good. We're a little partial to overly oily food, and the buffet was kinda pushing it, but maybe that's Thai food in general so I'm not going to fault them on that. The sweet and spicy soup was not too spicy and very tasty. There was also a mushroom cream-like soup that was a nice counter balance to the spicy soup. The curry puffs were a little mild, but the crunch made them more enjoyable. Overall we thought it was good and would happily come back. We're big fans of vegetarian restaurants and certainly enjoyed our lunch here.

Really tasty dishes and the curries are yummy. They only have seafood and fish as protein so you can have it added to your currie. The fried taro appy and roti is good. If I had to pick between the roti or taro appy, my pick would be the taro.

The family wanted some Thai food, but we didn't feel like going out to eat. When I started looking to find somewhere new and close to pick up from, I came across this place. It happens to be less than 5 minutes away, but we weren't familiar with it as it is fairly new, opening where another Asian restaurant used to be. I picked up the food and the two women giving us our order and taking our payment were extremely friendly. The restaurant was fairly crowded, but wasn't noisy and had a nice casual and relaxed feel to it. I'd certainly come and enjoy a meal here rather than just getting take out. As for the food, everything was very delicious. We ordered 4 dishes and all were superb. They were the cashew nut with tofu, crispy ginger prawns, phad thai and the eggplant along with an order of thai fried rice. As I mentioned we love the flavors of all the dishes, although the crispy ginger prawns and eggplant were especially delicious. The only bummer was we ordered some mango sticky rice and they did not have any ripe mangoes so substituted another dessert which we didn't enjoy as much. However, I appreciate that they didn't serve us the unripe mangoes as that would have disappointed us even more. We'll certainly be dining here more often and look forward to trying some of the other dishes on the menu. If our first experience is any indication, this is likely to become a regular spot for the family.

I tried the veggie lunch buffet for the first time. For the price we had to pay, I felt we had a great bang for our buck. Food was pretty good, and the service was equally nice. The staff were very attentive, and made efforts to ensure that we had a good experience. I was hoping I could eat more, but got stuffed way too quickly. We shared the sweet sticky rice mango (extra charge) as this is my co-worker's kryptonite. The mango wasn't as sweet as I was accustomed to. My hunch is that the sweet Asian mangoes are out of season. I'm surprised we went for it considering how full we both were. I will try the rice ball dessert next time. On a side note, they had the AC at full blast. The staff adjusted it down for us after they saw me walked back in with a couple of jackets. I wouldn't mind hauling the AC back at my apartment though.

10 dollars all you can eat vege-lunch. Fantastic. Great for groups to eat, food is fun and fresh, and the food off the menu is great too if you want something different. The dessert wasn't anything to be crazy about, I wish there was a bit more variety, but for 10 bucks, I really can't complain too much. Would love to try some of the other ones some day! Not a vegetarian, but I think everyone enjoyed the food, and didn't even notice the lack of meat!

Came here on a rainy day, craving a hot bowl of noodles but wanting to try this place, since it was newly opened. The ambiance was lovely - the windows let in some ambient light but it was a warm interior with all the food furniture. Like an elegant modern cafe. Service was friendly and courteous - our cups were filled regularly, even though I was super thirsty. Our waittress checked in on us mid meal...nothing outstanding, really but good. She was nice to let us sit around after we had finished our meal. The food though..!!! We started with crispy brussel sprouts (because deep frying makes food better). All the little brussel sprout outer leaves were crispy and the rest of the sprout was a solid hearty bite. It was hard to settle on which curry to get since they all sounded intriguing and wonderful (avocados? Kabocha squash? you betcha.) It was definitely more interesting than the typical Thai offerings. I settled on the Panang Curry with a side of brown rice (curry + rice = $13). I loved the slivers of kabocha squash and the tofu was just slightly firm but still silky smooth. The curry itself was sweet and flavorful and the spice ratings seemed spot on (3*s = medium, appreciable heat). The curry was enough for leftovers so I enjoyed it the next day for lunch. My friend got the Sukho Thai Noodle Soup and it was SO GOOD. Friends, please order this if you're craving soup noodles! It was a generous bowl of rice noodles topped with crispy fried tofu squares and chopped peanuts (spinach lurking in the soup too). It was like a bowl of pho but more complex and a little lighter. She ordered it mild, so it wasn't spicy at all, but I bet it would be great spicy too! Will definitely be back at Sukho!

I like this place. Good modern clean decor with authentic Thai menu. They have the item that not available in many Thai restaurant around here. Since I am Thai so I always seek for Thai place that serve real authentic Thai food. Isarn Thai soul(Kirkland), noodle land(Redmond) and sukhothai(Redmond)are my first choice to go for Thai food. I like YenTaFo noodle soup with pink sauce and seafood. Sukiyaki Thai style stir fly glass noodle with seafood and spicy sauce. Price is 12-14$for seafood dish. I will definitely go back to try more item in there menu.

Good stuff! I ordered the Shrimp Phad Kee Mao and even with it being delivered, this meal was still quite hot (temperature wise) and flavorful. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, lots of mini corn and broccoli throughout the dish, and the amount of soy sauce was just right. Even better were the two vegetarian egg rolls the came as a side - so crispy and delightful!

INCREDIBLE! This place instantly became a favorite of mine. Today is my friend's birthday and we just went to Sukho Thai for the lunch buffet. It was freggin awesome! Service was phenomenal, environment was fun. Probably the best yellow curry I've ever had (and I eat a ton of curry). There were these fried veggies which I have never seen before, which were incredible. All the food was top notch. I will be back!!!

Went to their buffet today with 3 people. Only 9.95 each - truly amazing value and great selection. Hot and delicious Thai cuisine. Total bill $33+ tip. Can't get enough of this place.

A co-worker said that their food was really good so we thought we'd give it a shot. My parents and I went there for lunch buffet. Even though other customers seemed to really like the buffet, I only thought it was okay. The food was freshly made from the kitchen (they had just opened) but somehow, it didn't look like it was fresh. It wasn't their fault that I couldn't eat spicy foods and having braces limited what I could eat. There weren't a lot of options for me. Of the food that I was able to eat, I thought it was decent and tasted alright. But somehow, I wasn't overly impressed after the glowing recommendation my co-worker gave. I have a feeling that we would have been better off ordering off the menu. One other table did that and my parents and I thought their food looked better. I'm not sure if I'll go back or not, but if I do, I'll be ordering off the menu.

A buffet that meets a vegetarians needs! Including veggie meat. Yay! They even had appetizer food and dessert on the buffet. My friend and I arrived on the later end of the buffet hours so there were a few entrees that were not full. Staff told us they were more than willing to cook more if we wanted a particular entree that was not plentiful. Service was superb. Dying to return!

Went in yesterday with my sister for lunch. $10 thai buffet sounded like a new experience we would have to try. I'm glad we did! We had originally gone to the location expecting an establishment called "Saigon" (GPS obviously needs updating!) but found "Grand Opening" signs instead, pointing us to a vegetarian and pescetarian thai joint instead. We walked in to a very clean, nicely decorated dining area and the host asked us to take a seat wherever we liked. He pointed us to the back of the building where we were greeted, by who I'm assuming is a chef, by the buffet table. The man was very friendly and explained every dish that was out for us. Most dishes were things we had tried before. Eggrolls, red curry, tom kha, fried rice, a cashew dish, and bananas in coconut milk were some of the options. Everything was absolutely delicious. There was an appetizer salad waiting for us when we got back to the table and our drinks were always swiftly refilled during our meal. When we asked for the bill, we were brought fresh cut fruit for dessert and offered a 15% off coupon for our next visit. We will definitely return in the near future :)

Great Veggie Thai buffet. The food is so tasty. We are not vegetarian but we love it so much. My three years love spring rolls. In additional, the customer services is excellent and price is pretty good. No doubt, we will go back again. Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Lunch buffet - Yum Yum Yum!! There was not any seafood offerings there - but it was all absolutely delicious and very worth the price. My husband is not into the vegetarian scene, but loved the food and offered to come back!

Great new place. Been there both during lunch buffet and evening time. Good mix of nice ambience and a variety of yum veggie dishes. The food is very nice and they offer great variety. Good replacement for Araya's that closed recently and moved to Seattle side.

Soooo so happy to have found this place! I have a surprisingly difficult time finding enough vegetarian variety in Bellevue, so imagine how happy I was to open the menu and see I could order anything and everything on it! JOY!! Upon walking in, it seemed cozy but casual. The decor is beautiful although they have bench seating and it wasn't terribly comfortable. I'm also kind of picky about paper napkins but it's a relatively new restaurant so we'll see if it morphs at all. We ordered the summer roll, cashew nut stir-fry and rama garden noodle. Summer roll was definitely fresh and had a crispy surprise in it (still not entirely sure what it was, but it was delicious!), the cashew nut stir-fry is what I've been trying to find all over Bellevue and haven't found a successful one until now; although I was a little disappointed that some of the vegetables while "stir-fried" tasted raw so I had to pass on some of the onions and peppers. I tried the rama garden noodle and it was good, quite rich due to the peanut sauce on top, but my boyfriend inhaled it. All in all, SuKho Thai is a little gem. We never ran below half full on our water (which for spicy Thai is a must), the staff were very polite and friendly and the food was delicious! New favorite :)

I had to write a review....this place is by far the best Thai restaurant in town! High quality ingredients and flavorful dishes. The vibe and atmosphere is relaxing/comfy...rustic décor. I highly recommend their lunch buffet! It's a great deal for $10 and they have a fantastic happy hour! Try their Curry with Roti or their Papaya Salad. Their Phad Thai is tasty and I like the fact that it's not too sweet! Very authentic flavors. I definitely don't miss Araya's anymore!

We went for Happy Hour tonight and the dishes were outstanding. The roti and yellow curry was flavorful with interesting vegetables and chutney. Three of us feasted and the whole tab including two beers was $42. We also had a fried taro and vegetable appetizer, garlic tofu, thai fried rice and papaya salad. The menu is varied and not your average Thai menu, containing what I assumed were regional specialties. I am vegan and found lots to be happy about here. All I have to say is try it, you'll like it!

We loved this place! I had the Tofu Pad Kee Mao and my husband had the Yellow Curry. They were both fantastic. The staff was courteous and friendly. Definitely worth checking out. We're going to go back soon :). We used to love going to Araya's in Bellevue, but since they closed we haven't found a good substitute, until we dined at Sukho Thai.

In past years there used to be a couple of Thai buffets in the Redmond area but they have since all closed. It's nice that this restaurant offers a Thai buffet. I've been to the buffet here twice. Overall the food was good. In my opinion The Pad Thai was too sweet, and the cabbage that was cooked with it was too firm and not cooked enough. There was a Crispy Fried vegetable that was also too sweet. I would like to see them decrease the sweetness of those dishes by about 50%. The egg rolls and the vegetables with Green Curry sauce were very good. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I would eat here very frequently if their dishes were less sweet and if they offered some meat in their dishes (they don't offer meat since they serve Pescatarian and Vegetarian food).

Went there for lunch (buffet). It was great! Everything was freshly made. Loved the green apple and mango salad. Phad Thai, curried fried rice, soups, curries, spring rolls were all very good. Beautiful atmosphere. I'm Thai so I normally cook Thai at home because it's hard to find an authentic Thai restaurants in the states. However, Sukho Thai does a good job. We will surely return!

We ordered 2 dishes, the "Chu Chee Salmon Curry" and "Portobello and Asparagus". Both dishes were very delicious. The salmon dish was priced very well for having wild king salmon. The curry complemented the fish very well without being over-powering. My husband is usually very picky and he loved both dishes. We will definitely be returning again. The ambiance is great and the service was excellent.

My husband and I ate here recently. We are vegetarians, so we have been eagerly awaiting the opening of this place and hoping it would be good. We were not disappointed. The new decor is very nice. It felt very warm and cozy inside. We ordered some lettuce wraps to start and then one noodle dish and one rice dish. Everything was very tasty and as good or better than the other Thai restaurants on the Eastside (and beyond). The servers were just delightful. They have a small but nice wine list if you enjoy wine with your meal. I tried a lovely rose. They also have dessert, but we were too full this time to partake in any. We look forward to going back for dinner and dessert and also to try their lunch buffet sometime.

We came here after driving by and decided to give it a shot. We were really impressed! They had a little trouble with the lights that day but we almost didn't notice because the food was so good! I had the pad sew and I can't even remember what my husband had but he ate it all with gusto. The staff was also really nice and attentive which is appreciated since we were eating there with our young son. What they did with my tofu was amazing. Give this place a try even if you aren't a veg or pescetarian, you won't be disappointed!

The best Thai food I have ever had. I used to eat at the Thai Kitchen and the King and I. The food is much fresher here. It is family owned, and all there make us feel at home. Even the tea is perfect. There is fruit, salad, and many different choices of dishes-and different every time! Happily, the curry puff and vegetable spring rolls are there every day. I have been there 1-3 times a week, I love it so much.
