Great place to stop for a quick bite while shopping at Bellevue Square. A large selection of sandwiches, pastries, salads, soups, etc. Quick service and decent food!

I am not a huge fan, but a fan nonetheless. My 3 y/o girls are fans as well. They enjoyed the tuna salad sandwich and their daily special soups: broccoli & gorgonzola and beef chipotle chili something. Relatively fast and fresh. If it weren't for my girls, I may not necessarily return here so often, but always very limited when you are dining with 3 year olds.

While shopping at Bel-Square, I was hungry and wanted to grab a light lunch. I've eaten here several times before and it's been ok. You order your food, and they give you a pager which buzzes when your food is ready to be picked up at the counter. I usually order the Club sandwich and get a cookie. The Club sandwich was okay, nothing special. But the cookie had a hair on there-eek! I went up to the counter, and was waiting for awhile until the manager came. I showed her the hair, which was obviously not mine, since it was blond, and she apologized and gave me a new cookie. If I get hungry again while shopping at Bel-Square, I may go somewhere else to eat next time.....

You fly up to Seattle for a business meeting and you're at the mercy of your clients and they order something from a place called Specialty's which is some sort of strange name, like a not-quite pun. But, you have to eat and it's a box lunch so how bad could it be? Box lunches are fun. They're kind of like something you'd get as a kid, or a fancier version would be packed for you when you leave a resort for a high-end excursion. At the very least they seem like something you'd eat if you were on a jury and being sequestered which has its own certain romantic notion in a Perry Mason kind of way. You decide to forsake the tuna sandwich as that's like playing lunch roulette, especially when the stuff arrives at the office, and you didn't go there and scope the place out yourself. At this point, since the food has arrived a full 45 minutes after it was supposed to, beggars can't be choosers. Still you do have a choice, and you choose the veggie sandwich. It's got sprouts in it. And tomatoes, mushroom, avocados, cheese. It's so soggy, it threatens to collapse the and take the flimsy white bread with it like a vegetable sink hole. Still you shrug. How bad could it be? The box It comes with an apple you don't eat, a box of gourmet brand potato chips you eat first, and a cookie you attempt to eat second but it's greasy and tastes like peanut butter and something else you can't recognize. One bite and you leave it next to the apple and turn to the sandwich because you're all of a sudden a kid and eating dessert first. And when you're in a business meeting you'll do anything to make it fun, especially if you took a six am flight to get there and have to return the same day. You take a bite and it isn't bad just messy and constructed poorly. If it were a building it would have been condemned, but at least it's a somewhat tasty building, just really soggy. You notice your coworker opted for a Chinese chicken salad and you both start to eat during your meeting. After three bites he turns you to you and whispers in your ear "there's a hair in my salad." He thinks for a minute perhaps it's his own. Then he finds another hair in his salad. Nonplussed, he leaves, grabs another box lunch outside and slips back in the meeting. He's gone for a sandwich this time. You take a bite or two of your sandwich, and though the probability of there being any hairs in your food is slim, you turn paranoid because when someone plants the "hair in my food," seed and you are eating something with sprouts in it, the mind plays tricks on you. Since you most likely won't be back up for another meeting any time soon, you just are glad you won't even be going there again, and chalk it up to another lunch you didn't get to pick for yourself. But if you DO happen to be back for another business meeting and someone suggests this place, you'll sure as heck be prepared with an alternate choice or three.

Had a unexpectedly delicious chicken salad sandwich from this place. Mall food is usually an epic fail, but this little spot made a quality sandwich that tasted fresh and slightly unique. My chicken salad sandwich came with candied walnuts and cranberry sauce. It was really good. I wouldn't go as far as to say delicious, but it was a very enjoyable sandwich that definitely left me feeling like I would back again for the same thing. There's a nice cafe set up as well, so you can grab a seat and enjoy your food without having to sit in the middle of a food court. This place has done a good job of separating itself. Of all the food traps that malls usually provide, this place is definitely a quality find and one that should be checked out over the rest.

I've been to Specialty's before, but never their Bellevue Square location. I walk by it all the time when I'm at the mall, so I decided to finally stop in today for lunch. I'm not sure if it's just me, but the first thing I noticed was it was not clear where you should order. After walking around for a few minutes, waiting at different registers with a menu in hand, I finally see a line forming on the left side of the cafe and join the end of it. As I was walking around looking confused, I kept seeing a woman with long, dirty blonde hair, larger build, black outfit and cream cardigan. I'm guessing she was the manager, since I saw her giving other workers orders during my time there. We kept making eye contact, but she didn't say anything, even after seeing me waiting at an empty register. Umm. OK. I order my food, and find a table. When my buzzer starts going off, I walk over to get my food. The lady I kept seeing before hands me the wrong food. When I tell her it isn't mine, she takes it back and almost drops it. I drop my buzzer at the same time, so it's just a mess. I finally get my food, and the lady hands the sandwich I got before to its rightful owner and says, "Here you go. Sorry. She almost dropped it." The last time I checked, blaming other people for your mistakes is no way to get ahead in life. All I wanted was a nice meal after making the trek from Seattle, in afternoon traffic. The food was good, most of the staff were nice, but this lady totally ruined the experience.

Stopped by ahead of an early morning Genius Bar appointment at the Apple store upstairs. Thought I would kill some time while wondering how much I'd end up paying to fix a cranky iPad. The Southwestern Egg is a great way to start the day. I thought that I'd get a cheaper version of the McMufffin, and I was really surprised to find it to be a 2-egg omelet with a nice salsa drizzle, melty cheese, and roasted corn on a fresh bun. Tasted great, but wait a bit for it to cool down. The coffee was nothing special--not sure what happened here--but the sandwich really wowed. Will def return when in the area.

Went here for the first time for a quick lunch. You simply walk up, order, wait for your food, pick it up, and sit anywhere within the cafe seating area. I got a BLT sandwich and a soup. The sandwich was delicious. The bread they use for the sandwich is actually pretty good and has sesame seeds on the crust. Overall an enjoyable experience and great place to stop by for lunch.

Maybe they just had an off day judging by the other reviews, but the employees the evening of Dec. 30 were incredibly rude and condescending. They also got our order wrong - we ordered a plain cheese sandwich for a kid and got a turkey sandwich with lettuce and tomato instead. My BLT was okay, but the service we received made it taste kind of bitter too.

I've worked in Bellevue Square for 5 years and have watched the quality of this location slowly deteriorate. When I first started coming here the employees were friendly and helpful, but that is no longer the case. Every time I come here I get treated as though I am interrupting a very important conversation when I try to order. Today I stood at the register in front of two girls who spent 30 seconds talking and not once did they acknowledge my existence. Right when I was about to walk off one of the girls told me to go to the other register for help. No hello, no apology for making me wait, just a short and rude statement telling me to move. On top of that, the food takes an excessive amount of time to be ready. There have been multiple times I have come to get food on a half hour lunch and left without any time to actually eat. It should not take 20 minutes to make a salad when there are 10 people working and only 4 people in line. As for the actual food, it's average at best. To be fair, I don't eat meat so there are things on the menu I haven't tried, but the things I have eaten definitely leave something to be desired. The four cheese sandwich has made me nauseous on more than one occasion, and the majority of their soups are excessively sweet. The bread is really their only saving grace. The two stars I am giving them are for their cookies, croissants, and breads which are really the only ones in the mall worth having. If you want efficient, quality service, and food that's worth the price, I recommend skipping Specialties and going to the Nordstrom Cafe instead.

I absolutely love Specialty's Cafe and Bakery. They have the best salads and sandwiches, and everything is made fresh to order. I also love that you can look up their nutrition facts online and can customize your order any way that you want. My last visit was especially awesome as they gave me a TON of chicken on my chicken caesar salad, and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Their salads are also huge and really reasonably priced for how large they are. I typically can't finish a whole salad when I visit, and get to eat it for my next meal (which is awesome cause it's delicious). If you're in the mall and starving don't go to McDonalds, come here! It's fresh, delicious, and made to order- you definitely won't be disappointed.

Considering that parts of the café staff were unaware that they sold drip coffee it should have came as no surprise that the coffee would taste a little off. Despite a burnt taste that was several hours from fresh, the coffee was surprisingly weak... But after a pretty damn good white chocolate macadamia cookie it was almost forgiven so I may give them another chance next time I'm here.

This location has bad customer service and the poorest hygienic staff. Half the the staff have no hair nets or caps. They look like they belong at a Wal-Mart deli. Would not eat here.

Killing some time at Bellevue Square & decided to stop at Specialty's. First time here & I hope to come back soon. My turkey, apple & brie sandwich was amazing.

I've been to this spot a couple times mainly for one reason in particular and that would be the turkey and cranberry sandwich. Its like Thanksgiving in the palm of your hands! I do like the fact that you can place your order online and it will be ready to pick up when you get there. Perfect for Bellevue Square employees and shoppers who don't want to wait in yet another line. Either way, they are always very efficient and get through the lines without much of a wait. Some day I'll try something else (like the entire front pastry display!), but for now I can't stop ordering that sandwich! Yes, I may need help.

As I am composing my review, I happen to see on the side of my screen a review that says that specialties is no Panera Bread. WOW!!! I live in St. Louis, where Panera has its HQ and I know that Panera has got NOTHING on Specialty's. NOTHING! It's like night and day when comparing the two establishments. Panera is a decent lunch spot, but most of their sandwiches and other menu items are uninspired. Usually their baked goods have fruit flies swarming around them and the people working behind the counter always look unhappy. I'll admit that I do frequent Panera, but mainly because there is no such thing as Specialty's in the St. Louis area, which is a shame. Specialty's on the other hand has seemingly happy employees and more unique sandwiches. I LOVE Specialty's, but at first, I will admit that I hated it. The first thing I ever tried at Specialty's was their turkey sandwich, without realizing that the turkey was more like carving board turkey. That was a total letdown. However, after my bf informed me that Specialties has an awesome veggie sandwich, I HAD to come back and get some redemption. Oh it was some sweet sweet victory. Their Mediterranean veggie sandwich makes my mouth salivate a bit right now. With the pesto, sun dried tomatoes, olives, mozzarella cheese and basil ,on a delicious delicious piece of bread, how can you go wrong? I must also add that their pastries are awesome! And while I may have only had a couple of their cookies, I have heard that there are some other options that melt in your mouth as well. Prices here are reasonable and portion sizes are pretty generous! You will not be disappointed...Unless you're that one person who prefers Panera Bread. Specialty's needs to come to the Midwest STAT!

Sandwiches are good but if you are an avocado lover like me look elsewhere. Baked goods are great though. So if you are hungry in the mall than give it a shot, but otherwise look elsewhere.

It's no Panera Bread, but the croissant I had was okay in buttery-ness. Sometimes I feel it's a hit-or-miss type of cafe. I feel mishaps do happen and unfortunately, when I went today, the coffee machine was broken. Hence, I was not able to order a Chai latte or hot chocolate, which was something I was craving for. Like all the other local franchised coffee shops, this is nothing special, just something quick, easy, and non-committal.

Okay. I love me some specialty's... but this place has consistently ruined my orders. Chibatta bread is out? Great, let me know. Don't just make my sandwich and play it off. And for the love of g*d, hire 1 additional person to clean up the eating area. This place is the butt hole of Bellevue Square....

I have passed this place so many times on my many trips to Bellesquare and decided to come here with a friend! I was a little confused because you look overhead and see posters with the words "Sandwich" "Salads" "Soups" but I had no idea where to find the actual menu. After waiting in line trying to figure out where it was, I saw that there was a stack of menus at the front of the line and didn't realize this until I reached the front. Then I didn't know what I wanted. Yes, I was the obnoxious person who held up the line. I finally decided on a large soup because I wasn't that hungry. I ordered the cream of broccoli soup with a roll. I was really disappointed. There was NO flavor to the soup whatsoever and could have used a lot more salt. It kind of tasted like unsalted, melted butter with broccoli in it. Yuck. The sandwiches looked a lot better as my friend ordered one and seemed pretty content. Maybe I just ordered wrong, and would be happy to rewrite a new review upon my next visit. But until then...not so much.

This is the place for a tasty sandwich and well worth the hassle of finding it (to say that it is a bit tucked away is an understatement). There are so many sandwiches on the menu and you can even create your own - no matter how complicated you like it! And if you are on a diet, order your sandwich online: they will list all the ingredients and calculate the calories for you! I love the breads (always fresh!), love the cookies (wheat germ!), and the service could not be better. The only con, really, is that the restroom is a bit hard to locate (just like the shop itself).

Specialty's is among the healthier options among the lack of eateries in Bellevue Square. Well if you get a sandwich that is...they have plenty of other pastries just ready to clog your arteries. Anyway I've tried 4-5 different sandwiches at Specialty's...while none of them are mouth-watering like Paseo or Salumi. They are definitely all very fresh, with quality ingredients (as advertised), come at a somewhat fair price, i'm sure are relatively healthy (maybe not as healthy as subway but definitely much healthier than your other options in this mall), and most importantly still very tasty. If you're in Bellevue Square...feeling hungry and just not in the mood for the other crappy eateries there. Specialty's is definitely a good option for a tasty and quick sandwich. ~G

The food here is very good, especially the soups, salads, and cookies. I especially love the healthier options which are the Chinese Chicken Salad, the Southwestern Salad and the Turkey Chili. The cookies are super yum, especially if they're right out of the oven. Although you can buy a day old and zap it in the Microwave for a few seconds and it's just as good. I eat here once a week, partially because I work in the building and partially because the food is good quality, so overall I recommend trying it! The only reason I'm giving this 3 stars is because the price is high for what it is - a cafe. And $8.00 for a small salad and $2.00 for a cookie is expensive. But in all fairness everything is expensive in Bellevue and getting lunch for under $10.00 is a good deal.

  • Liv L.

YUM. Their sandwiches are the best. I like the cobb sandwich and the chairman sandwich. Their cookies - so good. You get what you pay for and this is a quality meal, with quick and friendly service.

  • Kaitlin F.

Yup, still one of my faves. I think the Specialty's over next to the transit center is better, they run out of things less often, more generous with ingredients, but this is still my happy Specialty's. I just love that poppy seed bread, this is one of my favorite sandwiches around. And the mall doesn't have a ton of healthy fast food options, and while the seating can be tough, it is very conveniently located on the first floor, center of the mall. Now I just have to make sure to avoid them when they are making fresh sticky buns ...

  • Chad W.

I have tried many different types of sandwiches...all are amazing! They use quality ingredients but well worth the little extra you spend to come here. I never thought I would call a quick place to grab lunch gourmet but they are right there. The service is awesome! They work to get to know your name, always giving samples of their pastries, which are great but I try and stay away from them, the team at Specialty's does a great job at showing they are having fun and care to give great service! This place is perfect for lunch maybe even breakfast just never tried!

  • Matt S.

I go to this Specialty's frequently for lunch, not because of their fine sandwiches in as much as for the entertainment value. Each time I have been I have watched as the staff becomes overwhelmed by the lunch rush - much like a toddler who, one moment, is playing in the surf only to be, in the next moment, knocked down by a large wave preceding the incoming tide. It would be sad state of affairs but for the fact that lunch occurs everyday (or so I'm led to believe) and you would think that, by now, they would have learned how to prepare for it. Each time I've gone recently I've ordered what is ironically called "the Chairman" and each time it's been wrong. Today, it had the wrong bread, but at least that is better than the last time when it didn't have any meat - although the resulting sprout and avocado sandwich wasn't half bad.. They do bake a swell cookie though ...

    (2)
  • Rachel A.

I don't know why I continue going back here. The staff is useless and spend most of their time standing around issuing apologies for getting your order wrong or taking too long making your incorrect order. I've started using their online order system as to avoid these people entirely...sadly they still never have my order done in the guaranteed 15 mins. On a final note if you have 2 registers and you're line at one is spilling out into the mall OPEN THE SECOND ONE! Wish I could give negative stars this place infuriates me!

    (1)
  • Jennie W.

The cookies are so fat and melt in your mouth! They are very unique and more satisfying than your average flat cookie. I love to come here for that, and a nice cup of coffee. The sandwiches and soup are also very good quality, what a surprise to find good food in the mall!

    (5)
  • Krista U.

Specialty's is great for lunch when you're at the mall and don't have the time to go to a restaurant or when you don't feel like hitting up the Dollar Menu. The salads are very tasty! I've tried almost every one and my favorite by far is the Cobb salad! Each one comes with a delicious, salty, seasoned, piece of bread! The soups are delicious, too! I tried the clam chowder and I ordered it with the croutons (which are the little cubes of aforementioned salad bread) and it soaks up the soup and turns into tasty bombs in your mouth! The cookies and baked goodies are best when they're hot! Try the black and white cookie when it's hot! The chocolate cookie with the melty white chocolate chips will do things to you. My least favorite things about Specialty's is the wait time when you order a salad or sandwich. I know they make it right after they get your order... but often times, they're a tad behind. :[ Also, I don't like the prices! Ah! I know they have quality food, but really.... ah.. Tip: When you get the salad, order it to go even if you're going to sit down because otherwise, your salad will be served on a plate where the leaves will fall off and.. it's a bit of a mess. But if you're determined to have it on a plate, toss that dressing!

Specialty's is always good for a (peanut butter semi-sweet chocolate chunk) cookie on the rare occasions one would choose to walk through Bellevue Square. Based on the fact that they also have food, I thought this might be a good place to get lunch. I was only partially correct. Specialty's does have sandwiches, which are somewhat lethal based on the dietary information available on the website. I did enjoy the Southwestern Egg & Cheese (~$4) once I removed the cheese, although information is not available for that so I'm not sure how much I shortened my lifespan in the process. The main thing that struck me here is disorganization with the set of counters they have. It wasn't even that busy, and it was still a bit confusing to figure out where to go for what. I can only imagine what happens during a lunch rush on a weekday. I think I will stick to an occasional cookie which is predictably lethal and does not involve musical counters but is at least worth it. For a date I'd head to somewhere with more character, or just come bearing a baked treat.

The coffee is good. The pastries are beautiful. The staff, eh, not so much. The move so very slowly, and none of the employees seem to really give a shit. The food in general is good. They charge a premium and honestly, its worth it. I recently tried their breakfast egg sandwich and I was VERY suprised how good it was. My only concerns were both in how poorly the cashier knew the menu, and the general cleaniness. I guess it IS in a busy shopping mall, so its a bit more understandable. Dear Mgmt, please either do your jobs or hire some peeps that atleast seem like they care and aren't all wasting time on the phones.

Slow service. Took about 15 min. to get 3 salads. The salads were very small portions & served on small paper plates with small plastic forks. The salads averaged $7.50 each, which was overpriced to say the least. At 6:30pm on a Wed. evening, they were out of iced tea, out of avocado, and who knows what else! My spinach salad had stale spinach and a huge hand-ful of BACOS. My friend's Southwestern salad had about twice as much cheddar cheese than lettuce. I will not return. A waste of $26.89.

Overall: Good place to pick up pastries, salads, sandwiches and maybe a bout of food poisoning I'm so disappointed with this place. We went in for lunch and the idea was better than the actual execution. We ordered two double espressos, a Sicilian sandwich for J and a spinach and bacon salad with no dressing for me, which came to approximately $20.00. The sandwich was a thyme focaccia (looked more like a ciabatta) with red pepper pesto, salami, smoked ham, provolone, organic spinach, red onion, tomato, Kalamata olives and pepperoncini and was relatively good, although a bit oily (from the pesto) and a tad salty. The salad was good with a substantial amount of bacon, three slices of avocado, three-four tomatoes, spinach, carrots, red onion, somewhat stale croutons, mushrooms and an overly salty herby focaccia. The espresso was nothing spectacular and took forever to make, which is weird considering they have a fully automatic coffee machine. After finishing lunch we walked to Nordstrom (say 300 feet or so?) and I felt the desperate need to visit the restroom, and I mean D-E-S-P-E-R-A-T-E-L-Y. When I arrived at the restroom, low and behold - I had the runs! I specifically chose a salad with no cheese or dairy in it, yet it still gave me diarrhea! All I can think caused this was the egg... so far, I've had to rush to the restroom FOUR times as a result of this salad. This is probably the only place we'd visit for lunch in Bellevue Square, however, we won't be going back for the sandwiches or salads. We might return for the pastries/cakes... surely they won't make me have the runs, will they? In general, the selection of cakes/pastries/cookies/sandwiches/salads are good. The service is reasonable, however there aren't very many tables to sit at, and the ones that are there aren't cleaned very often.

Overall: The sandwiches are fresh and delicious. They make their own bread and its yummy. They seem to run out of stuff alot though, that irritates me. Also once i came in about an hour prior to closing and they told me that they are no longer making sandwiches... um, aren't sandwiches what you are known for? if you are done making them, close the place for the night, you cookies will not satisfy my hunger!

  • Rebecca L.

when I think about specialty's a puddle under my mouth suddenly appears. Their sandwiches are to die for....Pierce Brosnan as James Bond to die for. Esp their Italian Hot Sandwich. So yummy. And Jessica R. I am with you on the wheatgerm chocolate chipcookie. I believe those cookies are the reason for a 2 pound weight gain. It's quite sad really. They are the best cookies EVER. I tried making some at home, except I tried to make it with splenda and whole wheat flour... and it didn't taste the same. I think it's because of all the oil and nectar of the gods that they use. The service is always fast and they make my sandwich right every time. Their salad performance, however, is mediocre at best. I would give this place 3.99 stars, but i'll round up and give it 4 stars!

Nice selection of sandwiches to fill any appetite. The turkey pesto sandwich was delicious and filling. Ordering was weird, you need to be familiar where to get your food after ordering. A bit pricey for lunch $10+, but tasty.

MmmmM!! I hate malls, but if I must go to Bellevue Square, you can bet that I'm making a stop at Specialty's! Yes, everyone, the cookies ARE THAT GOOD. They really are. Yeah, your gramma might make some better ones, but those have love baked into them and these might as well have crack baked into them - that's how much I crave and dream about these cookies! The sandwiches are good also. I love the turkey cranberry! I also love that you can order online, pay and then pick it up. Its not so much faster, but that way you can have people in the office place their own individual orders (and pay individually) and then have one person pick it all up! See? No split check fiascoes, no worrying about who has cash! Brilliant! Yeah, they're not cheap. But why put a price on taste? Particularly when a bad sammich/cookie can ruin your day?

Best Mochas in town, not too sweet ( to my preference). Good, kind, speedy service. The bakery is excellent tasting, and large portions too.

It's mall food. TURKEY & SWISS CROISSANT tasted good until bit into old, dry turkey. Had to add some soup to turkey to make it palatable. It was 2pm and how you gonna tell me you "out of napkins"?! What's up with that?

Being new to Bellevue Square Mall, and apparently a heathen, I was confused about the lack of a food court. So my first two experiences at food and beverages in the place were Specialty's and Teavana. 1. The salads are HUGE. Fresh, organic ingredients, scrumptious through and through. But like two or more servings huge. You have been warned. Our general favorite is the Cobb, except my co-worker gets it without bacon like some weirdo. 2. Odd cashier/staff arrangement. Sometimes there's a huge line at a single open register with other workers milling about performing miscellaneous tasks. I've observed them frequently (stalker!) and cannot discern a pattern to their service set up. 3. The semi-sweet chocolate chip cookie is HEAVEN. So delicious you will want to eat five. Their peanut butter cookie is better than my Mom's - which is saying something bc my Mom *rulez* with her mad baking skillz. It's hard for me to buy cookies other places because they have spoiled me so! 4. Sandwiches. Again, supremely generous portions and unbelievably delicious. My favorites are the Big BLT with avocado and the Hot Spicy Beef..or something. My mind can't recall the name because my taste buds are watering so much! It has roast beef, japalenos, cheese, and spicy mustard. 5. Very helpful, jovial, and attractive staff. Yeah, I said it. 6. Soups are hearty and made from scratch. Why don't more places serve soup around here? Get the small, it comes with their own freshly baked bread or a roll. I need to spend less money and consume fewer calories at Specialty's, but I cannot stay away. I think they're putting crack or heroin in the baked goods. But I dunno where they'd be able to bury that in the nutrition information!

We had been before and had a good experience. But here is the list of items they were out of yesterday: Turkey Roast beef Milk Chocolate chip cookies Lettuce Napkins This is only the list we know of. Now I can understand being out of a few things but milk chocolate cookies? It's a bakery..... They sell sandwiches too, so how or why would they run out of lettuce? But the killer was, they were out of napkins and were handing out paper towels from the bathroom! Not one smile from any of the staff to anyone who ordered (and there were a lot of customers so it just wasn't us) I would really like to talk with the owner of this business and ask him/ her where they were? As a business owner I know you can't be there all of the time but the manager who was there should have had options from the owner should they run out of items. The amount of revenue lost as well as customers lost, should be awake up call. If the staff is that unhappy I don't blame them, I blame the owners. Bottom line is the buck stops with them. I must mention that bead that our sandwiches came on was great! Too bad we had little options of what came on them. Lettuce on my cheese sandwich would have been nice.

Their plain croissants are not bad, but you can feel the after taste of baked Cheddar and Swiss cheese. I am guessing that they are baking various goods (croissants with "stuff") at the same time as plain ones. Been born and raised in France, I realized that right away. You shouldn't taste cheese when enjoying a plain croissant. Another interesting experience was when I was taking my 4th bite of a Turkey & Swiss Croissant - the first 3 bites were spot on. I realize that I had cream cheese in my mouth... What?! Go to France, travel from North to South, and tell me how many croissants you can find stuffed with cream cheese. Too bad, the rest of it was truly excellent. On a positive note, they let me choose something else. We also had a small ham Quiche, which was good. If 2 stars mean "I've experienced better", then they get 2 stars from me.

I love me some Specialty's (mmmm gigantic cake-like cookies, cranberry danishes, BBQ beef sandwich...), but Bellevue Square has to be their most disorganized and poorly run location. Sure, it's all cute and has charming decor, but their service is awful. I ordered a soup + half a sandwich and was handed a buzzer. When buzzed, I went to the sandwich pick up window, received my sandwich, and was pointed to the salad/soup counter for my soup. The guy behind the counter was too busy making salad after salad and ignored me. When I tried to ask him about my lousy cup of soup, he walked away and left the counter unattended. I had to wait back in line to flag down someone. To top it all off, my chicken noodle soup was a sludgy, mushy mess--like the pot was left on the burner for too long. If you want a speedy and efficient lunch at Specialty's, head to their City Center location 2 blocks east.

There's a 2nd location in Bellevue now--at 500 108th Ave NE (City Center bldg, right next door to the Transit Center) on the 1st floor, The way to go at this place is ONLINE ORDERING. More people should use it. Not only do you buy 12 meals and get the 13th free ("free" being an average of the cost of your previous 12 meals), it is fast, efficient and lets you customize sandwiches your way. Another nice perk is that you can see nutritional info--who knew that focaccia added so many calories to a sandwich??? Check it out at specialtys.com . The reason I say more people need to utilize online ordering is that this place is a ZOO at lunchtime with people taking orders and chaos everywhere. Online ordering lets you bypass the madness and cruise over to the counter to pick up your order. You even pay for it online with a credit card, so it is literallly pick up and go. Like many of the other reviews here have mentioned, the cookies are WONDERFUL. You must try one if you haven't already.

I look at my old pics and my tight fitting jeans and realize I need to get back on track with my diet. Then the big question which I face is where can I get a healthy lunch. Hello Specialities. The sandwiches in specialities are scrumptious and as healthy as is gets. The staff is nice and always ensures I am more cheerful when I leave than when I stepped in. And sometimes when I want to indulge , a cookie (any of them for all are great) suffices. Thank you for being a great alternative to the cafeteria at work and I would highly recommend a stopover to anyone in Bellevue Square Mall who is in the mood for something sweet or just a little hungry!

An oasis of freshness in the middle of Bellevue Square! After doing some solo shopping at the mall, I didn't want to go to a sit-down restaurant by myself, so I stopped for a sandwich at Specialtys. Now I know what all of the fuss is about! Usually this place is packed mid-day, but this was a weekday evening and it was not busy. I ordered the club sandwich. Getting the sandwich was a bit of an issue... I sat down and waited for about 5 min. Since it wasn't busy and since 3 employees were standing talking behind the counter, I didn't know what was taking so long... I went to get a glass of water and saw that a sandwich was sitting in a window at the end of the counter. I asked if I was supposed to pick up my sandwich (I hadn't been told to) and someone noticed the sandwich in the window, apologized sincerely, and handed it to me. The club sandwich is a hell-of-a-deal for $6. It was loaded with 2 kinds of cheese, ham, turkey, pickles, pepperoncinis, roasted bell peppers and tomatoes. It was at least 4" tall and hard to get into my mouth! It was really delicious, the bread was so fresh and as I ate it I felt like I was enjoying the best bargain in the entire mall. As I ate my eyes kept drifting to the pastry display counter. I got a couple of pastries to go and split them with my hubby later. The blueberry croissant was heavenly! And the chocolate chip was loaded with chips, too many even for my sweet tooth. But they were really awesome. Next time I'm shopping at the mall, I might be tempted to stop at Specialtys over the higher priced restaurants. It's an incredible bargain.

The food here is phenomenal! They are so good at what they do...everything is basically made from scratch and is very healthy and delicious. I had the roast beef sandwich....so tasty! The bread was so good and had spices in them. The prices are a bit high and the portions not so big but that aside this place is a must visit. The staff are so friendly and they are quite welcoming. I'm coming back for soup next time and maybe a pastry...I hear their cookies are good =]

Speedy service? Check! Amazing chocolate chip cookies? Check! Big assortment of beverages and lunch items? Check! I love this little place...always like to stop by for a quick meal to go or sweet treat. No complaints. Never disappoints. Super tasty!

I bought to white chocolate mochas and I told her extra hot. She gave me the coffees and they were warm. Went to her and told her. She did it again and it was warm. I told her it is not even hot! She has an attitude and told that is the most extra hot she can prepare. What a great service I got!

We are big specialty's fans and were thoroughly disappointed in this location. The staff was rude and the salad was old and brown. Cookies are great but I had to ask twice for them. Not the best location we have been to by far...

Me: Well, since we're stuck in Bellevue Square and hungry, how.. Loud Disembodied Voice (LDV): MAYA! Me: ...about Specialty's? SO: sure, they have pretty good salads and... LDV: MAYA! SO: sandwiches, etc. Me (in line): Ok, go grab a highly valued and elusive table for us and I'll... LDV: MAYA!! PICK UP FOR MAYA! Me: order for us. LDV: MAYA! LDV: MAYA!! LDV: MAYA!!! Me (ordering): I'd like a slightly overpriced, but good, sandwich and... LDV: MAYA! Me: ..my very petite SO would like your smallest salad, which tips the scale at about 8 pounds. Thanks! Moral of the story: If you don't know you own name well enough to respond to it when called, don't order the good food at Specialty's. Their location in the middle of the mall will make your name echo in every direction. LDV: MAYA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I highly recommend everyone to try southwestern sandwich, it was one of the best egg sandwich I have ever tried in my life. However, the butter croissant was crusted from outside and still dough from inside.

Food is very tasty, but it's also expensive... expect to pay ~$10-15 for lunch. I ordered a cookie and was given a warm, melty cookie straight off the baking sheet. Delicious, but it tastes like it's probably 700 calories. That isn't necessarily a bad thing ;) My roasted veggie sandwich was quite delicious and the coasters they give you which start flashing when the food's ready are entertaining. I'm cheap, so I'd go to World Wrapps instead. But if you want something relatively healthy, tasty, and have the money to spend, this isn't a bad way to go.

I really like this place but the coffee sucks and they don't have lemons. No lemons for salad, iced tea, hot tea anything. The turkey sandwich with cranberries is amazing and I love the cookies. They would be great with a good cup of coffee.

I've only ever had one thing on their menu--Oatmeal Wheatgerm Chocolate Chip Cookie. Oh. My. God. They are hot, gooey, chocolately, oatie deliciousness. They draw me in like a moth to a flame.

I really really like Specialty's. I like how you can completely customize your food, and they almost always get it right. For example... my two favorites things to get: - Dawn's Vegan Salad, no onions, dressing on the side. HUGE amazing salad with amazing vegetarian goodness, such as beans, spicy corn, avocado, artichoke... I can't even name everything. It's very good. Slightly pricy, though, as is a lot of their food. - Egg sandwich, on whole wheat, with spinach and tomato. Not as pricy, extremely delicious, and you can get it made with egg beaters. Also, their Oatmeal Wheatgerm Chocolate Chip cookie is probably the most incredible thing in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE. I've also had their coffee and it is decent. Really, you can't go wrong. Yes it is pricy for a lot of the salads and sandwiches, but they are big portions, and absolutely delicious!

Just when I thought the only downtown Bellevue lunch options were Mexican or Thai I got tipped off about Specialty's. Good service, great sandwiches, and nice to just order something and not to have to face 20 questions about bread/cheese type like Subway etc.

Dear Specialty's - Why must you mock me with you delicious hotness? I wake up dreaming of your sugary luscious pastries and muffins. At lunchtime I love your thick bready sandwich look with a large amount of that hippie sprouts on top. I love that I can call you from your website for an office quickie. For afternoon delight, you rock me with your ooey-gooey semi-sweet chocolate cookie goodness. You're such a tease... sadly your sister in the International district is available at any hour of the day an has a more adventurous side. So I'm leaving you and not coming back until my next goody call. It's been fun.

For a woman who can have a bowl of soup, half a sandwich, AND a mocha for lunch and still be hungry, Specialty's Cafe rocks! I only like the one at Bellevue Square mall, b/c for whatever reason, that's where I've received the best service. Their minestrone is pretty good and every sandwich I've ordered is excellent.. Plus, their coffee is not half bad either. They do care about how they pour. The layout of the place is very narrow and often completely packed, so there are some cranky-monsters there somedays. Just give them your best smile and ignore their cranky-monster-ness.

Specialty's has the BEST chocolate chip cookies in the world. Dare I saw better than my mom's and grandma's? They are so melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Just be prepared to stand in line for a while.

Specialty's is normally very good. This location is nowhere near the standards of the others. Three times now I've ordered a cinnamon roll only to be handed something so dry it was nearly impossible to cut with a plastic knife. Three times is enough to see a pattern. This last time I just handed it back and walked away. If they don't care any more than that about the quality of their product, they definitely don't need my business.

Potato Poppy Seed bread+Mayonnaise+Roasted Turkey Breast,+Bacon +Crumbled Bleu Cheese+Green Leaf Lettuce,+Tomato+Red Onion,+Dill Pickle+Avocado+Italian Vinaigrette+Black Pepper= a sandwich totally worth all those calories. Add a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie and that's my idea of a great lunch.

I went here for coffee and pastries with a friend of mine this morning and we thought the experience was just "good". First off, it took me three attempts to get my order across to the girl and all I wanted was the medium single shot latte with nonfat milk! Then, they seemed rude about us taking a couple minutes to pick our pastries even though there was no one standing in line behind us! So the service pretty much sucked but my latte was decent and the wildberry scone I got was ok as well. I wouldn't go back if I was at that mall again...

Specialty's has the best chocolate chip cookies in Seattle. Ask for one straight from the oven. Hopefully you are not wearing anything white as the melted chocolate will get ALL over you. The sandwiches and salads are pretty good as well. They have some unique varieties. Expect a bit of a wait if you visit at lunchtime.

club sandwich is soooo g0000d! (+) large menu prices coffee fast service (-) customer service/employees horseradish (yuck!) haha slow service i know i know, it's mall food but it's soo good. it's pretty much the only thing you can get @ bellevue square that is relatively good for you! the club sandwiches here are soo good complete with: pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, pepperchinis (how do you spell that?), etc. the thing is, i love pepperchinis! for about $5 a sandwich, it's a pretty good deal. the real downside of eating here is the customer service. they suck! it seems to me they employed a bunch of 16 year olds that can't take an order correctly. BUT when they DO get the order correct - it's a winner ps. sometimes they put in horseradish sauce, most of the time they don't. if you want to be 100% sure not to get it, tell them!

With a Specialty's recently opened on the Eastside (Bell Square), there is now officially no reason to go to Seattle for lunch. This mall cafe is just as delicious as their downtown Seattle shop. The wheat germ chocolate cookies are the best!

This place is an addiction, so watch out! When I worked at Bellevue Square, I went to Specialty's pretty much everyday! If you have a strange obsession with cinnamon rolls, then definitely check this place out, they make the best cinnamon rolls in the whole world! They also do have other fresh mouth-watering pastries, cookies and much more for our sweet-tooth! If you want to do lunch, they make very delicious custom-made sandwiches and salads too, and they have a different soup almost everyday which are all very yummy.

I highly recommend Specialty's, especially if you are considering ordering for a large group. We have placed several orders through them and they are consistent with our orders, and very timely! Not to mention how helpful all of their employees are! I called today and instead of sending me to their online ordering form, she took the giant delivery order over the phone and was extremely gracious. Thank you, Specialty's :) We will be ordering again.

I was debating between 3 stars or 4 stars for Specialty's, but the cookies really do get four stars just by themselves. I've now gone twice, and both times have had the same thing (I know, I know- I'm boring), but many of the sandwiches are pretty adventurous, and come with interesting combos. I've now gotten the Turkey, Brie, Apple and Bacon sandwich, and honestly it's very good. It has a lemon-thyme aioli on it, and the only set-back for me, is that it often has too much Brie. Brie is a very overpowering cheese, and parts of the sandwich are not as melty, so I've had to pick off the "raw" Brie, because the taste gets overwhelming. What really makes this sandwich great, however, is the cinnamon apples. They're sweet, and really compliment the aioli and bacon nicely. It's a panini, so it's served toasted, which is great. Now, the cookies. They offer a variety of very fresh, and large cookies ranging in flavors from your traditional chocolate chip to wheat germ oatmeal chocolate chip. I decided to try the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie, and it was spectacular. Fresh, chewy, and delicious- All things I expect in a cookie. The biggest downside is the wait is pretty substantial for a "quick" bite to eat. Both times I've gone, I've had to wait about 10-15 minutes for my sandwich to come out, and both times there were only about 2-3 people ahead of me in line. Sounds picky, but I'm really not ordering something gourmet or absurdly difficult. Overall, I may or may not go back- it'll depend on how much time I have, and whether or not my sweet tooth is in full gear.

We stopped here and were disappointed. First they call themselves a bakery - shouldn't they have a larger choice of delicious bakery goods? Failed Next - you have to make a decision - do you want to get in line to pay or check out the products. They have the cash register before the glass case - so if you look to see what you want - the line is getting longer and longer. Apparently if you know the system - you get in line to pay and then hold it up while you check the case. Need I mention they don't have much selection in flavor's - I didn't order anything since my next stop was Tully's in the next section where they are much more customer oriented. (No Almond flavor here although it is one of the top sellers at Coffee places) The group members who purchased were all disappointed and wished they had waited as I did - to get good service, better choice and overall a better product.

Great bread, great sandwiches, great cookies! The wheat germ chocolate chip cookies are amazing! I used to go to the Specialty's in downtown Seattle all the time. I would order online and just pick it up! It was so easy. I've also been to the U Village store and it seems like the cookies are good at all of the locations.

Hands down, the best place to grab a quick sandwhich or salad if you're in a rush. The price on stuff is kinda high but totally worth it. I normally don't walk away without spending at least $12-15 but I know my money will be well spent. Don't forget to grab one of their amazing cookies....totally worth the money too!

What do you think of when it comes to Specialty's? Cookies! I had a sandwhich and cookies. Great sandwich, crunchy cookie. I saved it in my bag until I got home, so I could throw it in a cup of milk. It was hard. I've had Specialty's in Seattle many a time, and those experiences are why I bought the cookie at Bellevue Square, but it wasn't what I knew it could be. The other thing is, clean up the shop! This place is dirty. Cash register for example has a thick coating of dust on it, and floors are nasty. Missing some basic upkeep. Lastly, line took forever, which is understandable at 12:45pm, but it could have been moved along by making printed menus accessible to those in line. There's no menu board to help you decide until you get to the counter and can grab a menu. By the time I got one, I was up, and had to decide without being able to peruse the options.

On a Cold, rainy, drab kinda day (which there are many in WA) it's always nice to go to a place where you can get delicious soup, salad, yummy bread and THE BEST KINDA COOKIE!!! Hullo!!! Hits all the taste buds, sweet, salty and YUMMY!

Located in Bellevue Square on the first floor, it's a good "in between" price-wise if you're out and hungry for a sandwich or salad. They do have a good variety and they make the food after you order it so it's nice and fresh. The sourdough bread isn't dry and is actually quite good on the sandwiches which was a pleasant surprise for me. When we lived in CA, my husband loved getting a turkey and pesto sandwich and it felt like a good day for that... I made the mistake of saying those words out loud so then the search for a suitable replacement was underway -- and Specialty's scratched the itch! I had the cranberry turkey sandwich which was good (personally just not a fan of sunflower seeds in it). I've had food here a few times and the wait always seems long from ordering to getting your food, but it is a good quality. It is nice being able to get a good sandwich on the weekend in Bellevue somewhere though as so many places seem to be closed on weekends (especially Sundays!).

I had heard of this place and was eager to try but got really disappointed. First, the sign at the entrance said they had Curry Soup and when I got to the cashier it was sold out. I had to leave the line to select something else. After going back, I've ordered roasted turkey sandwich. It came cold! Nobody asked if I wanted it toasted. I then ask them to toast it. I came back with the bread lukewarm and everything inside: turkey, cheese, tomatoes, etcetera fridge cold!!! And the menu picture showed beautifully melted cheese! Never going back.

I probably would have rated this a 3 out of 5, but I literally just got back from eating there and I've got to say, I had a good experience today! This particular location is inside Bellevue Square Mall, which could be a nightmare to order food from during lunch (which I did today). Normally I would avoid long lines, but my coworker really wanted to eat a sandwich here this afternoon. The line went relatively quick, probably like 5(ish) minutes standing in line. I've had okay to good experiences with Specialty's cafe, but at this particular occasion I tried the "Turkey, Apple, Bacon and Brie" sandwich--SO DELICIOUS. Seriously, I didn't think having a cooked/warm apple in my sandwich was going to be good...it was! To be honest, the reason why I got this sandwich was because it had bacon and brie--which did not disappoint. Although this was one of the more expensive sandwiches in their menu, it was definitely worth it. I'd probably think twice before getting the tuna sandwich--it was too dry for me :P

I've already said plenty of nice things about Specialty's in my review of the downtown location ( yelp.com/biz/specialtys-… ) and this review is more about their customer service and account reps. Last week I placed an online order for a lunch meeting. About an hour before the order was to be delivered (from the new Westlake store) I found out I needed to add a sandwich. Since you can't call the stores directly (which is stupid and frustrating) I called the account rep who responded to an email inquiry earlier in the week. Heidi didn't answer her phone so I left a message and then called the Customer Service number. The "customer service" rep basically told me I was SOL -- it was too late to add the sandwich to my order and my options were to pay an additional delivery fee for one stinkin sandwich or send someone to pick up the order. Luckily Heidi called me back just as I got off the phone and said that she had arranged for the extra sandwich to be packaged along with my order. THANK YOU!! That saved me alot of trouble and I really appreciated her problem solving and customer service skills. Her email signature indicated that she is based in Bellevue so that's why I'm reviewing this location. I did eat at this Specialty's a few times when I worked at the Mall. Like many other reviewers I found that while the employees were friendly, the setup is confusing and the organization/efficiency is lacking. If you are new to Specialty's I would sum it up with the following: amazing sandwiches and baked goods (try any sandwich on the focaccia, it is the bomb; the cookies and coffee cake are fantastic and baked fresh daily), OK salads and coffee, a little pricey but big portions, easy online ordering system, mind blowing calorie counts (def not as healthy as it seems), and recommended for catering. Also, the account reps are responsive which is important since you can't actually call the stores. Still a great lunch spot in three states (IL, WA, CA).

I didn't realize what a gem of a place I was missing whenever I walked by Specialty's in Bellevue Square, until my girlfriend suggested we try it for the first time six months ago. It always intrigued me that there had to be something great if the line always appeared to be long. Sure enough, to this day I still crave for their Big BLT on a regular basis. There's nothing special about it other than I feel like they really do you right on the bacon portions of the sandwich that it just goes together so well from the first bite. Like, the bacon kicks you in the face, but then the tomato compliments it... just like a BLT should do. As for other things, the Turkey Pesto sandwich is pretty good, and I've tried another sandwich with apples and bacon, it's also not too bad at all. Also, just a note: the broccoli cheddar soup is more on the broccoli side than cheese tasting. It's not bad or anything, but it was different from what I was expecting and tastes more healthy.

Hungry after our dress shopping spree, we stopped by for a quick late lunch at this sandwich shop. Service was quick, employees nice, and food tasty. Here are a couple of notes to remember: -go to the far end (while looking straight at restaurant to place order -Sandwiches are good size-so go hungry ! -For those with diet restrictions, vegan options available with soup- Yum! and nice vegetarian options that are different than the same old usual combinations are available Fast, friendly service and good food - a great place for a quick bite!

My go-to lunch spot when I was used to work in Bellevue...almost everyday. It helped that parking was free vs their downtown Seattle locations and their other location on 108th. Order/pickup lines can get a little confusing. Seating can be limited, but feel free to hop on the elevator nearby and head on to the 2nd floor lounge/mall-dining area. Sandwhiches, salads, soups, pastries are ALWAYS FRESH...to death! If you're up early, head over and grab a whole loaf while they're still warm....that's if you're lucky enough to snag one! Pretty good variety of sandwhiches and salads to choose from. Not exactly the healthiest of choices but still pretty damn good! (I'd recommend asking for mayo or the house-special dressing on the side vs on your sandwhich or salad). Take advantage of the online ordering option via the web! - Customized ordering (with calorie counter) - Easier to keep track of group orders for office luncheons - Box lunch options too - Excellent for avoiding the lunch-hour rush - Delivery service available for the location on 108th & 10th in Bellevue. QUICKTIP: Day-old cookies for a $1 (just as good as their fresh one's warmed up!). MUST TRY the Oatmeal Wheatgerm....especially when they're fresh outta the oven!

Specialty's makes pretty freaking good food for a cafe. I enjoy their tuna sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches. Everything tastes fresh and is perfectly toasted. There's only two problems: 1. expensive 2. way too slow! If you are willing to wait and shell out (considering its not a restaurant), this is one of your better options in Bell Square!

My youngest kid and I were looking for lunch when we were at Bellevue Square and he chose Specialty's for lunch. I'm not sure if it was because they were close, but he made a good choice. They have a variety of sandwiches, which surprisingly fore being in Bellevue, didn't break the bank, but didn't come with chips or a pickle. I had the capresse sandwich which was served on a really good foccacia. The restaurant is located in a pretty central area in the mall, so the people watching opportunities are pretty good too. I wouldn't make a special trip for sandwiches here, but if I were to find myself hungry and in the mall, I'd come here again. Note: They don't take Discover, but they do take other credit cards.

Overrated and over-priced. From the looks of the restaurant, you would think the food was perfect and delicious. But, the two times I have been there, I was totally disappointed. The Spicy Thai Salad was waaay too spicy and totally boring. It had hardly anything but lettuce. No protein whatsoever yet I paid $10 for it! I got a tomato tortellini soup on a separate occassion and there was nothing soupy about it. I just think it's not all it's cracked up to be. And it's way too expensive for what you get.

Ok, ok. I think I judged this place a little too quickly. I came back here with my friend, Heaven L. upon recommendation. My other good friend, Jenn H. told us that the cookies here are very good. ...Boy was she right! On a very positive note, the cookies were fresh out of the oven. When the guy handed them to us, they were still warm! Heaven L. got a semi sweet chocolate chunk, while I went with a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie. I have absolutely NO IDEA how they make these cookies, but they are just so darn good! They're slightly crisp on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. My favorite style of a cookie! It's rare that you find a cookie like that these days, unfortunately. The cookies here a plentiful portion, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to share it with a buddy. At the same time...you might not want to. You'll most likely want it all to yourself. I ate the whole thing by myself, and made it out fine. (=

They don't usually open this early, so it was great that Specialty's was open at 4 am for Black Friday shoppers. I decided to get an early-early morning bite to eat for the shopping ahead of me. Specialty's has a decent menu of egg sandwiches, along with pastries for breakfast. I got a fuji apple croissant ($2.79) with a medium coffee ($1.90). The croissant was very delicious. It actually looks more like danish except with croissant dough. There is a line on the left if you are picking up an item from the pastry display. While there is another area for your cooked to order type stuff. In addition to their breakfast items, I have in the past had their soups. The soups are delicious and it comes with a tasty roll in addition. If you are looking for a light meal or more nutritious option (aside from the decadent pastries), I would suggest Specialty's.

Specialty's.... is a great alternative if you are health conscious or willing to pay extra bucks for a sandwich you can make at home. Nonetheless, their sandwiches, and bakery items (esp. cookies) are delicious, but the sandwiches aren't necessary well made - just with fresher ingredients. The portions are just perfect, and if you are a mall employee they will throw in a cookie of your choice for free! Ask, or if you are coming in during the right time, their freshly baked right-out-of-the-oven is the best. Soft, and rich in flavor, their cookies are worth it. Lunch time can get long and chaotic, and the tables/seats fill up fast. Regardless of the great healthier options on the menu, I will still opt for Nordstroms Cafe (kids menu) for a cheaper price. OR Subway (...eat fresh!).

I really like the food here. It's well made from scratch and taste great. I'm not sure how healthy it is for you, but I'm sure if you eat here often compared to other cafes and Bakeries, you'll end up looking better here, then other places. One thing that really stands out to me about Specialties is their half price day old baked goods. I really like their sticky buns, and their chocolate chip cookies. One really neat tip is ask them to heat them up and they basically taste the same as if you ordered it fresh, but seriously get the stick bun cause it's one of their best bakery items.

I am surprised that not many ppl have reviews about "coffee" at this cafe. This place serves the "Intelligentsia" brand, which is my favorite coffee brand. Rich, full flavor, yet crispy and sharp. NOT too smoky/ acidic/ bitter... Perfectly balaced! I was sooo happy to find a spot that serves intelligentsia in Bellevue.. I love their bakery too..! Capuccino Scones and Ginger Cookies are amazing..! Soooo crispy outside, but smooth and moist inside~! Staffs are always kind and serve fast. (maybe because i visited during off peak time only?) Haven't had a chance to try sandwiches yet, but their soups are very tasty and health conscious. The only Con is, this is located inside a mall.. not a quick and easy access when i have caffein urge.. and it gets really loud and packed often.. but what can we do.. this is inside a shopping mall. Overall, i am very satisfied at their food & service~! :-)

I love Specialty's!!! The Chairman is a must try for anyone wondering what to get!!! Try and imagine the freshest white bread, sliced to the perfect thickness, and specked with dill. on one side it's smeared with buttermilk ranch, mashed avocado, filled with turkey, swiss, sprouts, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and cucumber. The other slice of bread there's mayo and a super delicious stone ground mustard, which helps the sandwich stay glued together and adds a great tang to the sandwich. It's sliced in half and is the perfect lunch. Although I know it's not low fat, the ingredients are so fresh, I never feel guilty after eating it. It's $6.99 and totally worth it. I haven't tried anything else, besides a fat gingerbread cookie, which is a seasonal. Their cookies are thick and of course freshly baked so super delicious. The only reason I minus a star is because I don't like the coffee they serve. It is Intelligentsia coffee roasters. It reminds me of Tully's and I don't prefer that taste. One last note, is that I've always had friendly service, and received my sandwiches lighting fast!!
