I have to say this is a new restaurant that opened yesterday, and so I realize that there are growing pains with any new establishment that said...here goes....I went there for a quick lunch, while we are out running around in preparation for the 4th of July. The decor is nice, the wait staff was very friendly and kept us informed as to when our food would arrive. I had the chopped salad, and my mom had the basically the grilled ham and cheese sandwich (I forgot what it was called, I just checked their website to confirm the name - menus not posted yet - another growing pain) Let me start with the Chopped Salad, the mixed greens with salami, bacon, olives, cherry tomatoes, and think there was some cheese and egg, and a house dressing, had a wonderful taste. Now for the constructive criticism. I felt what was presented was about $3.00 above what the price point should have been, the portion size was too small for 11 price point. There was an abundance of the radichio and lettuce, however when it came to all other items (with the exception of the cherry tomatoes) the amount used was miniscule. I hate to say this, but it felt like an overpriced side dinner salad. My one extreme criticism was the croutons.... either make your own (and make them well) or leave them out, what was on the plate were flat out unpalatable. Now for the grilled ham and cheese sandwich (damm I wish your website had the menus loaded to give this sandwich justice)... The grilled sandwich was exceptional, It is a grilled ham and swiss with a béchamel sauce inside, and the nice kicker was the salamander-ed (broiled) crunch cheese on top, This sandwich is a rock star!!! It was ordered with a side salad, my criticism here is stick with a spinach green, and leave the rocket green out, either the balance with spinach to rocket green was off, or just not a complete awareness, you really have to be a rocket green to appreciate the bitterness of this green. We did notice that the kitchen is in growing pains, and did see other diners waiting for their food. I will definitely come back in the next week or so and see if some of these new restaurant kinks are worked out, because Belfair is in sore need for an establishment like this. This place has the potential to be a go-to place.

Stopped for breakfast. Great bloody Mary's. No mix. It was one of re beat we have had. Food was amazing. I do have to say. It took a while for it to arrive, but was amazing.

I went here with hope for a good restaurant on belfair but found that hope was shot dead upon entering the door. I do understand that they just opened but it wasn't even busy and it took an hour to get 2 burgers and a fish taco. The price for a burger with fries was 10 bucks and sad to say mcdonalds has them beat on taste in the burger business the burger here was just bland with no flavor. Getting some katsup took asking the wait staff twice and then i dont know what kind of katsup they use but it sucks. Fish tacos and fries 11 bucks my price value 5 bucks if it had tasted good which it didn't. I'm pretty sure that the union river grill will meet the same fate as most other new restaurants in belfair, boarded up and gone in 8 - 12 months.

Seriously one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The bun was fresh and amazing and the toppings were just perfect. Even the fries were legit! I'd totally come back next time I'm in the neighborhood. :)

My boyfriend and I had breakfast here. He got the chicken fried steak and eggs with country gravy, which I think they make in house since there was real sausage in it. I had the french toast combo both came with amazing eggs. We will be back for sure!

First and last time here. We sat and waited 50 minutes for our food and they weren't even busy. When we finally got the food, it was all cold. We spoke to the manager before it came out and she said she saw it coming. We requested the manager again but she never came back. The other waitress kept looking over to us but never checked on us, and served several of her people that came in after us. Never again.

I was pretty unimpressed with this place. My boyfriend and I stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The place wasn't overly busy and we were seated right away with the hostess/waitress getting our coffee and juice really quickly. Then we waited, and waited and waited. She seated other folks, took their orders and delivered their food while we waited. About 20 minutes later she finally took our order. We waited another 20-25 minutes for our food. Again people who had been seated after we ordered got their food before us. I had to flag down the waitress for a coffee refill even after she walked the room filling other cups. When our food finally showed up there were items missing and I had to flag down another waitress. The food was decent. I ordered corn beef hash and my boyfriend ordered biscuits and gravy. The portions didn't quite seem to fit the price though and the food was pretty typical dinner food. It was disappointing to wait such a long time for so-so food that didn't seem worth the price or worth the wait. I doubt we'll be going back any time soon.

This was the only place in Belfair that upon entry didn't make us wonder if we'd live to eat another meal. Not everything has to be the Next Big Thing. Sometimes you just want a good sandwich, and this place has 'em. Clean, fast, friendly, and they spell "grill" with an "e." What more do you want?

We just moved here and decided to try this place out.. Normally the parking lot looks pretty full, when we went in it was completely empty.. Its very clean! Normally I cringe at the nastyness left under tables, this place was nicely kept! The food wasn't anything to brag about, but it wasn't bad either. I'm sure we'll go back sometime.

My husband and and I came here for breakfast in May whilst visiting friends, eager to try something new that had opened since we'd moved from the area. We were super impressed by the food....homemade Hollandaise, scratch corned beef hash, decent (for the west coast) biscuits and gravy....all in all, a surprise for being in Belfair. Flash forward to this morning, when, on a another visit to the area, we decided to return. It was like this wasn't even the same place. The limited menu was limited even further (no more Croque Madame!), and we were told that the hash was no longer homemade. My husband and I (and another companion) all ordered the eggs Benedict, remembering how good it was previously. After almost 30 minutes of waiting for our food to arrive (with only 2 other tables occupied) it finally came to the table, and not in a good way. Hash browns were unseasoned and undercooked, eggs were poached so long that I'd describe them as hard-boiled, English muffins were untoasted, Canadian bacon turned out to be a thin, half-dollar sized slice that didn't cover the muffin, and the Hollandaise was the canned variety from Cash and Carry. Awful. I sent mine back as did our dining companion, while my husband decided to power through. Another 15 minutes passed and our breakfasts came back. The exact same. Over-poached eggs, cold Hollandaise, undercooked hash browns and untoasted English muffin. Had I not cut into the previous eggs, I would have guessed this was the exact same plate...no effort was made to fix the previous mistakes at all. We ended up going hungry. I felt bad for the waitress who had to serve food, twice, that was so terrible. She took my food off of the bill, and her pleasant demeanor was the only redeeming quality of this trip. Will not return. It is unfortunate that in a matter of months, the quality here has tanked so hard.

We loved this place! Family owned and hardworking staff. My meal was perfect. Not a single complaint from our table. My husband had steak, which looked delicious. He didn't share. I had the salmon. So good! The bar was hopping. The owner even came over to introduce himself and check on us. We will definitely be back!

They did wonders inside. Looks very nice. Menu is ok, need more options like Turkey bacon, but the price is too steep for the area. They need to do specials for the time of service (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Service was good with the waitress, but it took our breakfast food for two over 30 min to get and there was only 4 tables full in the restaurant. I will try it again maybe if they lower the price's or have specials.

We ate here on 7/3/14, less than a week after this place opened. Growing pains include running out of something, kind of slow service and slightly disorganized waitpersons, at least for lunch (we arrived at 4 pm, dinner starts at 5 pm). The dinner staff seemed more on top of it. That said, the food here is very good, fresh and delicious, made from scratch. The fish tacos and a burger were quite good. The fish and chips was too, but the batter could be lighter and more strongly seasoned. I am very optimistic about this place and would eat here again in a heartbeat. The service people are all really nice and eager to please. I want to return for breakfast and the creme brulee batter french toast, yum.

Great service - food was good, nothing out of this world but got the job done. Waitress was very nice - I asked for a Lemon Drop & she suggested trying a Ras-Lemon Drop.. it was soo good : )

Seriously not impressed. We were really looking forward to a decent restaurant in Belfair..... This is not it. We had lunch on a weekend about a month ago. There was a decent amount of people there, but definitely not packed, and the server was extremely inattentive. I had a chicken breast sandwich and husband and our friend had the fish tacos.... If you could call them that. There was hardly any fish at all, and was hard to find the small little piece under all the lettuce. They said the little bite of fish was good, and their fries were good, but the portion was small. Extremely overpriced for what you got. We told the waitress that there really was no fish on the tacos and she just kind of chuckled and walked away..... Uh ok? The iced tea tasted artificial and was overpriced as well. Our waitress never came around to refill our beverages until the end and when she refilled my husband's glass, she only filled it halfway. Really? My meal was hardly memorable but it was okay, and the salad I had tasted bitter. They did a nice job renovating the interior, and the place looks very clean, however the food is definitely not worth the price and the waiters were not knowledgable on the menu, nor were they attentive at all. This place could be really great, but it's just not right now.

The place was empty when we came in so we were a little skeptical. We ordered the chicken fried steak, cam chowder, and kids chicken and fries meal. The streak came w soup or salad. I chose the salad with ranch. I was disappointed with the salad as it was only lettuce, a few thin cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes, until I tried their Ranch dressing...Delicious!!! I'd eat nothing but lettuce if I had their dressing, yummy. The chowder was a little watery but thick w smoked clams, potatoes, and veggies. Very flavorful which made up for the thin broth. Chicken fried steak was hand breaded and delicious!!Wasn't a huge fan of the gravy but overall very yummy. It also came w seasoned carrots and garlic mashed which were also equally good. We will definitely be coming back here for sure!!
