Owner/chef contacted me and explained they were having a couple of nights and training new waitstaff. I appreciate the response and I will likely give Rediviva another chance. Take the review below lightly as the problems may have been fixed. Update. Something has changed at Rediviva. Total of 4 tables in the whole place. Wait staff couldn't keep up with drinks. When we asked the bartender for drinks, they said we had to go through our server. Appetizers came out, they were good. For main course we ordered 2 burgers -medium, 2 steaks - medium rare, and 2 orders of the hand stuffed pasta. Burgers and steaks were all well done and dry. Pasta was just, okay. Wait staff needs training badly, and whatever changed in the kitchen needs taken care of.

Aberdeen's gem worthy of any visitor seeking meals and drinks that are harmonious with flavor as well as the local market. The high-ceilinged atmosphere and the perfect music set the tone of a fantastic night that began as a happy hour visit and turned into dinner. The fresh seafood is obviously prepared by someone who truly enjoys it, and is all local and fresh. Our server (Michaela) was friendly, attentive, helpful and spot on with her recommendations and knowledge of the plates. She recommended the Kale salad with pork belly and strawberries, which was lightly cooked and tossed and topped with a local smoked bleu cheese that was out of this world, and married the flavors instead of jumping out front. All in all our first visit will be our first if many. We are proud to live in the same town as this establishment, and will return soon.

Stoppad here for dinner on our way to Astoria, found it through yelp. It was a pleasant surprise, the food is good. We were late so they had only happy hour menu but their clam chowder is one of the better I've had! My husband had the burger which was good too! The place is cool and great service!

I admit, when I first heard how amazing Redaviva was, I has mentally thought "great for Aberdeen?": However, we were wowed by our meal last weekend! Redaviva is a must visit to see Pacific Northwest produce, fish and beef at it's finest. As a starter, we ordered the mussels en bleu- which was an absolute hit! We also ordered the salmon which came served with a healthy dose of chanterelles. We also ordered the pasta dish to try which was once again filled with Chanterelles- I was in Chanterelle heaven! The decor is sophisticated, sleek and I'm sure the locals appreciate having a fine new restaurant in their midst. Well worth the price- and a must visit!

Friendly wait-staff, clean, classy environ, and a tasty twist to a burger. The patty was huge, organic, locally sourced, and done medium, to perfection. It's bun seemed home made and very fresh. It had body to it! We had the fries and the Chips and shared. I learned that they make everything from scratch, from the waiter's own mouth. Andy, the Chef/Owner came out to visit and say hello. My friend, who's an internationally trained chef said, "It was the Best Burger I've had in this country for the past 20 Years!" Had beignets and a tequila. Say no more! Come and find out yourself!

Terrific restaurant. Easily one of the best I've tried in WA state. Went there for happy hour yesterday and tried the roasted Brussels sprouts, oyster slider and side of fries. Sprouts were incredible. Delightfully crispy with a sweet and tangy glaze that blew me to pieces. Seriously, I ate the sprouts like a kid eats a bag of potato chips. Just your average house fries? Oh no, Rediviva takes them to the next level and fairy-dusts them with a bit of sugar. I couldn't stop grinning as I gobbled them down. The fried oyster slider was seriously amazing and the garnish that went with it was perfect. Oh, did I mention the draft beer is only FOUR DOLLARS??? Went again the next night, this time dragged the parents with me. I subjected them to the sprouts and they agreed -- absolutely delicious. They ordered the stuffed squash. It was just so brilliant. The little whistles of pine nuts and cranberries really help the dish get that complete dimension. I got the blue cheese burger. The Burger of the Gods (Lunchbox Laboratory -- Seattle area) might give Rediviva's Ranch Burger a run for their money, but here's the thing: Rediviva's burger tastes dang fresh. Local grass fed beef from just down the road. Yes, please. The restaurant is big on getting local ingredients into its dishes. How about that? Oh, and then there was dessert -- the Rediviva specialty beignets. Good Lord. What is up with this place?? I thought Karen and Quinn Hatfield's beignets were the best in the world (Los Angeles). Well, I was wrong. Forget about dipping them in chocolate sin. Try scooting them in buttery, creamy, salty richness. You won't be disappointed. Andy Bickar has a brilliant menu. He's got flavor contrast down to a science and knows how to get the most out of a dish's profile. Cranberries with the squash? So smart. Yet he doesn't complicate things; he lets the ingredients do all the talking. Is this place overpriced? No! Food this good would be twice the price in Southern California. Who knew, some of the best food I've tried on the west coast, and here it is -- only ten miles from where I grew up. To all the foodies in the Northwest, this is a MUST stop. Congratulations, Rediviva. Five incontestable stars. P.S. Btw, the bathroom is dope.

Amazing restaurant! Steak was good, Duck superb. Brussel sprouts are a must even if you don't like them! Ryan was our wait staff, very knowledgeable and excellent. He is a true asset. Small dining room, 10 tables and bar seats so reservations are a must but easy to make on their website. I'm a hard to please foodie and I was wowed! The chef is AWESOME! COCKTAILS AWESOME! Definitely a must if anywhere NEAR Aberdeen.

Excellent date night! We did not make reservations, but got in as they were switching to dinner service and printing menus. The husband ordered steak while I ordered scallops. The bread was tasty, the seaweed butter was an interesting twist. Did it take awhile? Yes. Did the servers keep the beverages coming while we waited? Yes. Was the meal fabulous and worth waiting for? Yes. My husband has ate steaks at many swanky places and he is STILL talking about the taste perfection. The scallops were fabulous, the corn slaw perfectly herbed and just a little spicy. I can't even believe that there is quality food in Aberdeen! Real food takes time people. Sit back, relax, have some drinks, and enjoy!

I have had the opportunity to stop by one of the most delicious restaurants with the most delightful staff . Ryan and Ashes were welcoming and provided over the top service! We had oysters on the half shell, black and blue along with crispy oyster sliders, everything was outstanding! Ryan and Ashes were the best.

OK, so I'd always had a marvelous experience at Rediviva, but lately the Yelp reviews have been less than stellar, more about the service than about the food. My friend Joanne & I were going to the theater in Aberdeen, though, and we opted to go there anyway and see for ourselves. Yes, there were a couple of little blips with the service. Nothing major; basically everyone was trying to do a good job, but nobody seemed to be in charge, and things did slip through the cracks. What they need are some good shift managers, I think, and if they get them, that problem will evaporate quickly. As for the food, it was even better than ever. Joanne had the diver scallops (with pork belly & grilled corn); they were out of this world. I had the house-made dungeness cappellini, which was also delicious, but not quite as phenomenal as the scallops. Seriously, this place serves world-class cuisine (and I'm no rube; I've lived and worked in a lot of the best food cities in the world before I retired to the backwoods of the Olympic peninsula). You can't get food like this anywhere anyplace near here; you really have to go all the way to Seattle or Portland. In fact, I bumped my previous rating from 4 stars to 5. I spend a big part of every year in San Francisco, and I would rate Rediviva as excellent if it were there, where the competition is fierce, so how can I not give it top marks here where it has no competition at all? In a fabulous class by itself. I love this place. Owners, fix the service problems, or they will kill you, which would be a tragedy.

I can only give 2 stars because, although I made reservations through their website for 6 pm Monday evening, and drove 45 minutes to get to the restaurant, I have not had the pleasure of actually eating at Rediviva. You see, apparently they are not open at 6 pm on Monday. I may still try them some day. Right now I just think it is lazy to use a reservations system that does not know if you are open or closed!

Loved this place! And that's coming from someone who's dined in seattle for the past 12 years- I wish it weren't so far but will definitely make it a regular pit stop on the way to ocean shores. The ambiance is homey and industrial with local northwest - inspired art. Both the waitstaff and fellow patrons are so warm and friendly- I came in and sat at the bar for a quick bite and immediately was invited into a conversation with a couple ar the bar and the bartender. The menu was really northwest inspired- I learned a new term- "boat-to-table" and there were a ton of local beers and liquor on the shelves, scrappys bitters in the war chest too. I had the clam chowder and the strawberry-chili glazed brussels sprouts, both were amazing. Even after I brought the sprouts home they were just as good. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

On our road trip from Seattle to ocean shores, we decided to stop by at Rediviva because of it's highly rated reviews. Our first impression was pretty good due to the nice ambiance but then it got way different. We should've known since it took 10 minute for us to get seated even though there were empty tables when we arrived. Then it got even worse when we got seated to a wet wiped table and waited for our water for 20 minutes. We spent 2 hours to get our food and then disappointment continued. I ordered the rockfish and it was covered with salt and black pepper, there was no way I could have one more bite. My boyfriend ordered the burger and it was ok except chips instead of fries. They were really salty too. Now we know why the couple next table left a bunch of money on the table and left before the check came.

Great food, inviting atmosphere and awesomely friendly staff put this place on my top 3 restaurants to visit again. Dinner was amazing. We took my parents for their 56th wedding anniversary and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

Wow. In Aberdeen, wa of all places! So glad to have finally found something to call "fine dining" in Aberdeen. It gets old to have to drive to Astoria or Olympia or further anytime I want a nice place to eat. Food was fresh, new exciting and delisious! I loved it. I plan on coming back for dinner sometime. Aside from the great food. The place is beautifully decorated. I really hope a place this nice can last around Aberdeen.

These reviews just scream of self promotion. Well my husband and I got sucked in bad. It isn't that big of a place, so even on a weekend when it IS busy, the service should not suffer significantly. We were seated and waited about 15 minutes to have a server make eye contact and make themselves available to us. Our drink orders were taken and made, but sat on the bar for another 10 minutes. Our food order was taken, after an hour and 10 min went by with no food, we had to leave. We did have the servers back side in our face and drinks because the tables are crammed so close together that in order for her to serve the table next to us she would invade our space. The bathrooms are very nice and clean, the decor modern and upbeat. The wine selection varied and abundant. The service is so bad, horrible!

The pork tenderloin was amazing. One tip; of you prefer it a little more on the well side with some pink, ask for it done medium well. Great service and the dining atmosphere is very pleasant.

The service is personal and perfect. The food is wonderful, visually as well as flavor. Top notch bar and wine choice. Close your eyes and you could be in a New York City bistro. Would and have recommended to friends!

Fantastic new on trend menu. Andy does a great job of pairings top shelf ingredients that create some nice culinary surprises. Hand crafted drinks with handmade juices and sweeteners and small craft liquor. It's our once a week date night spot. Try it, you will be glad you did.

Exceptional on every level. Great service, great food, and wonderful cocktails. I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts. Not sure exactly how they are prepared, but the crispy awesomeness and the tender, toothsomeness means hands down the best I've ever tasted. The clam chowder is delicious. Homemade and crazy creamy. You won't want to eat this everyday, nor eat it at night before you go to bed, especially if you have reflux. Lol. Made with steamers. Yum. The bone marrow... Oh. My. Goodness. Put on your viking helmet and let out a grunt or two as you spread marrow on crispy thin toasted slice of bagette and saturate it in BACON JAM!! Andy, you're a mad man. The burger is delicious. It's a myriad of flavors. Cooked to order, it boasts homemade sauces, pickled onions (I think) and locally made bun. The house made potato chips are painfully addictive (chapped lips at the time). Thats all for now.

Amazing find, amazing oysters, sliders. Very hip. Small but uncrowded for our mid afternoon visit. Still, staff went above and beyond in helping sort out lodging options for us. ( Hot spell inland had coast packed with visitors looking for relief!) In Seattle or San Fran, menu would price double. Great restaurant anywhere!

Went in for a drink and a few bites with a friend, and we were not disappointed. Decor made me proud to be a Gray's Harbor-ite. It has history, class, and warmth. We shared several items off the menu, including the oyster slider, crispy brussels sprouts, and raw oysters. We were raving about it all. The oyster slider is the perfect bite. The brussels sprouts were crunchy and satisfying. The mignonette that was served with the raw oysters was outrageously delicious and the oysters were FRESH. Presentation of everything was lovely, and our waiter answered all our questions knowledgeably and confidently. I was born and raised in Aberdeen and I am thrilled to see a place like this here. I can't wait to go back, and bring others with me to show them this cool new spot in my hometown.

Overall we had a mixed experience. The service was very slow even though the restaurant was not full. The noise was deafening so we opted to go outside which was worse as they opened the restaurant windows causing stereo loud noise between restaurant and street. The staff did not know who was to do what with the patrons. One for seating and water, different for order and different for drinks but each not sure. We were there 1 3/4 hours for two people. The fried brussel sprouts were quite good , As were the mussels. The Dungeoness crab was disappointing. There appeared to be little crab and if there was any crab it was lost in the bold flavor and spices. The cost overall very high- with each course $8-10 overall costing more like 3-4 $$$.

Wow. Just what Aberdeen needs! Pork tenderloin was outstanding. Just terrific. Service was exceptional, tho it was kind of slow so I would expect that. Just shows the professionalism there. What a refreshing atmosphere. I live in GH and will be coming back regularly. Our county is lacking in "better than average" dining and the price was spot on. Good job guys.

Simply WOW! Who knew there could be such a gem in Aberdeen... My S.O. wanted to take me out on a date 2 weeks after the birth of our son. I was hesitant at first and wanted to wait until we got back to Seattle. Luckily, he'd convinced me to leave the in-law's and check it out!! Stepping through the door, we were welcomed by a bubbly, glass chandelier and a very lit bar on the left. As we made way to our table, I couldn't help but glance over other tables' drinks and plates. I was getting excited to see what was all on the menu. Steve, the restaurant manager, introduced himself to us and shared with us some of their signature cocktails. I went with a glass of syrah and my S.O ordered the "old-fashion" Old-Fashion ;0) I'd opted to tease myself with some Pacific oysters...Fresh and SLURPALICIOUS INDEED! We also had the crispy pork belly for a starter. For entrees, my S.O. had the Dungeness Cappeletti - very creamy and filling. However, he kept eyeing my dish...which I did not mind sharing. The Rum Spiced-Smoked Duck was by far the best duck dish I have ever tasted. It was cooked to perfection- juicy and flavorful. The risotto and fried brussel sprouts were great sides to this dish. I'm sure we'd licked the plate clean ;0P We will most certainly be back for more delicious grubs whenever we are back in town visiting my in-laws.

I have eaten here for lunch (no longer served, alas) and several dinners and feel qualified to say that Rediviva is the most interesting and delicious restaurant in Aberdeen, and even Grays Harbor. Chef Andy Bickar brings local flavors to the forefront -- salmon, local beef and vegetables and fruits (sea beans, for example) -- and has creative, assertive dishes. The wine list and handcrafted cocktails are excellent by any standard. The house sommelier is a multi-Herbie award winner, so no surprises there. And the decor is cool, clever and very modern. You will not find a better place to eat -- or see and be seen by GH cognoscenti.

One of the best places in this area. Great, interesting food and excellent service from our waiter. Gave us great advice on a bottle of red wine. Great local joint. Would definitely come back again.

After my supervisor shared her delicious sandwich and fries with me for lunch one day, my boyfriend and I came here for dinner. With really high hopes (based on the sandwich and fries), I was a little disappointed, as the dinner wasn't as good. But, with that said, it was still good! And a nice change for Aberdeen. The best (but worst, if you know what I mean) part was watching the other customers who thought they were super high class fancy talk in fancy voices and look around to see if anyone was seeing them in their nice dressed up outfits. The couple next to us ordered only God knows how much wine and the lady made sure to talk really loudly about how she knew her wines really well. When they got the receipt they didn't understand why their bill was 90 dollars. ((No reflection on the restaurant here...just something that I had the pleasure of observing while eating.)) So if you want to try something different for the Harbor, I would recommend checking out Rediviva. You might even get a show while you're there. Oh, with that said, it was kind of annoying how closely we sat to the couple. I felt like I could hear them chewing. And there were other tables open. Anyway, I plan to go back and try more of the menu.

Didn't expect a place like this in Aberdeen. Atmosphere is very nice, Servers are very friendly, and food was very good. I was here once last week and again this week. I tried the chowder which ranks up there with the best I have had. We also had the short ribs which were amazing with carrots that were cooked with them. I had the Steak last week which was prepared perfectly and with the right amount of seasoning. It was served with potatoes that were thinly sliced and then stacked with a light sauce. I have never had potatoes this way but they were delicious. This week I got the chowder again and it is still amazing. I also got a sparkling pomegranate lemonade. They should bottle this and sell it at stores. I also had the Dungeness Cappelletti. Everything tastes so fresh. Hats off to the chef. There was only one server tonight and he was a little behind because I'm sure they were unusually busy for a Monday but he did a great job.

This place far exceeds our expectation after one day drive. This is our first time visiting Aberdeen and we are amszed by this restaurant. We ordered oyster slider, roasted brussell sprouts, chowder and mussells. Great pity that they ran out of some stuffs such as raw oysters and ribs around 9 pm. Really want to go again if we spend another day in town.

It's no understatement that everything was perfect: the kale salad, the small plates, the oyster shooters, the wine list. Terrific service. It's a hell of drive from Seattle but oh so worth it. I'm reviewing my dinner on Dec. 30th, 2015. Who knew?

Whether you want dinner or drinks, Rediviva is the best place to go in Aberdeen. I've gone multiple times and the staff has always been helpful and friendly. The atmosphere makes you forget that you're in Aberdeen. The happy hour menu has great appetizers and drinks, and the dinner menu changes based on what is fresh. I've had many items on the menu and they've all been great.

Had Dinner at Rediviva last night. We were promptly greet and seated. Prompt, courteous, personalized service and simply wonderful food. I had the pork tenderloin and Beth had the New York Strip. They arrived at the table hoot and prepared exactly as ordered. The experience of dining at the Rediviva continues to be unsurpassed. We are lucky to have them so close to home!

Ryan, the bartender, has never steered me wrong. From the baked mussels to the pork tenderloin he is en pointe! The tenderloin was "cut with a butter knife" tender and the mussels were delicious. The wine per glass list isn't extensive but what they do have goes well with their menu. I'm new to the area but I've definitely found my spot!

  • Jane D.

Very nice space.. friendly helpful staff. The menu is excellent and all the food we ordered was delicious. Clams and clam chowder were perfect, turkey sandwich was rich with flavor and fries were savory sweet. And the vegan acorn squash lunch would please most anyone who is gluten and dairy free, tho it was a tad spicy for me, since I have a tender mouth these days. The menu says ( very politely) no substitutions, which always makes me nervous. The reality was more accommodating than the menu suggests. Desserts sounded divine.. next time. I would treat myself to a meal here anytime. Its worth the drive.

You would not expect this in Aberdeen. Seattle quality out here? Brussel sprouts app was amazing. Beet salad was very good. Strip steak was also good. Potatoe onion cake was really different and great. Scallops dish has too much going on. Once I got through the puree, onions, and sweet sauce the actual scallops were good. Overall very good if you want a quality dinner in Aberdeen.

Went there for happy hour, 9 to 11 pm, and enjoyed it quite a bit! Some great drinks are more than 50% off and the food you can get is great as well. I really enjoyed the crispy brussle sprouts! Got two dishes and 2 drinks for about 5 dollars a piece! Very good deal for a fun night with friends!

An incredible evening, business visit to the quiet town of Aberdeen. What a dining experience! Oysters on the half...fresh, new varieties for me, yum! Kale Caesar salad...oh heaven can't be this good and on to clam chowder! An ever so light cream base that let's the flavour of the clam awaken and excite taste buds that have been hibernating for I don't know how long. Paired with a suggested white wine blend that brought the senses to an extraordinary climax!

BIG mistake to pass through Aberdeen without dining at Rediviva. The menu was engaging and creative (we had the Brussels Sprouts and Crab cake apps, then the pork belly and duck). Every bit as good as anything you'll find in Seattle, a thoughtful and well chosen wine list featuring local wines, fresh local ingredients, all for half the price you'd pay in Metropolis. Service (particularly Steven) was witty, engaging but not intrusive. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

My,my,my. Kudos all around. Great food and fine service. The only negatives I can think of were the noise level (good music but a bit loud for easy conversation) and no lingcod (my fav). We will be back.

Ridiviva succeeds in accomplishing, well, two diverse goals. Most importantly it provides five star food and service. Secondly, and a plus for those of us who enjoy Greys Harbor as home; it has a family style atmosphere that encourages cross table conversation and visiting. I've eaten there five times in the two months it has been open and I'am grateful for the owners willingness to invest such a gem here. Of course I look forward to a daily special for variety and more desert choices but when what you have is consistently superlative it is easy to be patient with appreciative anticipation. R

Just returned home after dining at Rediviva during HAPPY HOUR (3-5, the from 9 to closing). Their Happy Hour menu fit our smaller appetites but we maybe ordered more than we should have, everything looked so good on the menu. What we ordered did not disappoint. The crab croquette, oyster slider, crispy Brussels sprouts, kale salad and side of French fries were awesome and a huge surprise. Paired with discounted beer and wine, we had plenty to enjoy and enjoy we did. Our server, Jordan, was competent and knowledgeable and appropriately attentive. We'll be coming back more often and will be planning our visits to Aberdeen to take advantage of their seasonal and locally-sourced offerings.

Oyster Sliders are fantastic and I always order these and the Cappeletti whenever I go. I also order different salads and crudite to try out other dishes, as well as other appetizers. Their cocktail are excellent and everything from food to wine is fresh and locally produced.

This restaurant is a treasure in a town that has average food. We made reservations for 4 and arrived early and were seated right away. Fortunately, we brought our own wine for a corking fee and this was good as the wines are pricy by the bottle. We started with a half dozen of most delicious oysters so fresh and lovely and the wonderful brussel sprouts. Our salads pear and fiddle fern were great. However, our cappelletti was a disappointment. The lovely crab pasta was swimming in so much butter (2") that it made what could have been luscious less than ordinary. There was more than a half cup of the clarified sage butter left in the bowl. Less is more here. Won't have it again and neither will my friend. The duck my husband said was delicious and cooked to perfection. Our other friend had the pork chop which was undercooked and went back to his satisfaction. Order the way you like not med or rare is the lesson here. Yes we will try again. Like to see fish on the menu. This place is creative and nice.

My wife and I had dinner at the Seabrook town hall, cooked by the Rediviva restaurant chef/owner (Andy Bickar) and served, we assume, by the restaurant staff. It was magnificent start to finish. Stephen, the wine steward for Rediviva was really the host for the dinner, and he was an absolute star, providing historical context for Rediviva (which opened only about six months ago) and detailed background on all the wines served. In fact, the wines were selected for the meal first and the food course were crafted to match the wines - they did a great job with the entire meal. We were seated at one of only five banquet-style tables with eight persons per table as I recall. The settings were absolutely done in fine dining style and the service was mostly excellent. The meal was a challenge for me, and I relished it: oysters on the half shell for the first time in my life, and they were delicious (I don't like seafood that smells like the sea!) and paired with an excellent wine - a Cadaretta Semillon/Sauvignon blend I believe. The fiddlehead fern salad was a real treat, and again a first for me. One course was sablefish, and though I was anxious about even trying it I ended up not sharing any with my wife, and enjoying every bite. The lamb shank was done very, very nicely and if I said anything negative it would be that the portion was just very large for a seven course meal! Not complaining, though, it was great and the red wine it was paired with was delightful (in fact I think Stephen paired it with a pair of glasses of wine from the same maker, same year, different blends, which were wonderful on their own and even better presented in contrast). The last entrée was a beef dish and Andy came out and set expectations that it would be a little "toothy" and indeed it was not tenderloin. Andy had explained that within the context of the 100-mile meal and the cost of putting it on he needed to find a cut of beef that would not break the bank and so he'd braised the cut he'd chosen in a very simply broth (of wine, I believe). My wife and I both commented that we were so pleased that he set the right expectation for the meat because as we ate the dish we were delighted by it because our expectations were calibrated correctly. Andy visited the dining room between courses and explained how Rediviva sources locally and has helped local farmers to meet the USDA bar to provide to the restaurant. He presented a staff member that forages for wild goods, and he verbally tied all the food he prepared to the coastal Washington areas around Seabrook - the perfect complement to Stephen's detailed wine stories. All in all this was a meal that rivaled the best ones that I've had in Seattle - places like Crush and Rovers and Campagne (when it was open) - though with perhaps a little less polished wait staff. That said, I'd put Stephen up against the wine stewards of any Seattle restaurant for personality, if not encyclopedic scope. I will definitely look for any opportunity to visit Rediviva on trips to the WA coast.

What a treat to have this spot appear in Aberdeen. There aren't many stars so far from metropolis but this spot shines as one. Absolutely love the moscow mules in copper cups. The scallops on quinoa was delicious. I've also had several of the beef dishes sourced locally, which is commendable. I would recommend this place as highly if it were downtown Seattle or Portland but happy to have a fine dining experience closer to home.

I haven't been to Aberdeen in years and was looking for something "decent." Wow! This was better than I ever expected. I was there during Happy Hour and had a great drink, oyster slider and baked mussels for $14. I couldn't have been more surprised at the ambience and quality of the food. Absolutely worth a drive.

My husband and I went here for dinner this evening. We were promptly seated, our waiter was amazing very friendly and had great recommendations for the food. Our food was absolutely delicious. The crab croquettes and beef tenderloin were melt in your mouth delicious. We had the doughnuts with rum sugar for dessert and they were to die for. I am thrilled Aberdeen finally has a wonderful upscale restaurant with high quality food. My husband and I will definitely be back!

We were celebrating two birthdays among our group of eight girlfriends and chose Rediviva. Some of the group had dined here before but for me it was the first time. It was an extraordinary evening! Our server was excellent and the food was really quite perfect! We all chose different starters and entrees and of course sampled a bit from each other's plates. The presentation of each plate had us captivated even before our first bite! Andy, the Chef/Owner, visited our table and we were so pleased to be able to share our appreciation with him. I chose the Roasted Beets for my starter and then the Pork Shank... both were absolutely delicious. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Finally "Fine Dining" in Aberdeen!!!! Great atmosphere. I little stressful for the staff as their wi-fi was down. My husband & I were there with a party of 8. They were very prompt with our drink orders. All of our food came out prompt and hot. Everyone enjoyed their choices, my only complaint was that my empty salad plate sat on the table next to me the entire time. Although several people including our waiter looked right at it. I ordered the Dungeness Paperdelle which had awesome flavor but, sat in a pool of olive oil and butter I am guessing. A little too greasy with the cheese and all ... would have suggested maybe a white wine/butter reduction instead. But, overall "two thumbs" up and we will definitely be going back!!!

Amazing and unique food combinations set in a city styled and sleek designed space, but still with the warmth and kind service of a small town. Took my dad and mom here for dads birthday and we all really enjoyed our different dishes.

I loved the interior. So great to have an upscale restaurant in downtown Aberdeen. I had the kale salad which was delicious. We came as a large party of 13 and were seated and served promptly. Love the fresh menu and unique cocktails. Just around the corner from the new wine bar too! Will definitely be back for a downtown date night! :)

This little town doesn't have much but for some reason there's a world class fine dining place. Who knew? The steak was amazing, good drink selection, open late; you'd think I was in the big city!

My husband and I went here for the first time tonight for dinner and were excited to have a new place in town to eat. We were quickly disappointed. The waitress brought the bread which was not warm and sliced thin with no crust. It was served with a butter that was mixed with seaweed but the waitress doesnt let you know this or offer alternatives. I do not know who thought that was a good idea but it doesnt work and i am a seafood and sushi lover. I ordered the crab cappelletti which was disgusting. It was a bowl of butter, and you could not taste anything else in the bowl except for some raw pasta dough saturated in too much butter. Ive had sage butter sauce before that was nothing like a bowl of pure butter and nothing else. If there was crab in there i would not have known. My stomach hurt the rest of the evening from it. My husband got the steak which had layered potatoes and some sauted onion. The potatoes had no seasoning at all on them he is a huge meat and potatoes guy and he said the steak and the potatoes had no salt or any seasoning whatsoever. He said the sauted onions were so sweet with sugar he Had a hard time eating them. They steak still had the cold suet on the steak and for the price of the steak it was a cheap cut of meat. We are used to paying those prices at ruth chris in portland for steak that melts in your mouth. Not walmart cut steaks. There was no salt or pepper on the tables so you couldnt season the food that the chef failed to season. Needless to say we wont be back. I am sad i wasted a large amount of my hard earned money for a very bad stomach ache.

Just opened. The decor is modern. High ceilings and nice furniture. It can go from quiet to loud with the right people. Menu is limited, but has a wide choice. We had the root salad, Stuffed Squash. Seafood cappelletti. Given they have been open a few days, the service was good and we will come again.

If you're ever driving through this area and you like delicious food-- this is the place to go. It is THE BEST restaurant in the area. If it was in Portland or Seattle it would be at the top of the list. No other restaurant comes close . If you are a foodie- or you care about quality, locally grown food -- you will not be disappointed. There's nothing else that comes close in this town .

We were in town for a family visit and wanted to treat Mom for early Mothers Day. I called Friday from home ( Snohomish area) to make a reservation on Saturday evening. I am glad I did as we were in for a treat. Family has been there for lunch but I wanted a nice meal and atmosphere. The staff were all very professional, helpful, attentive yet relaxed. For a new business they have it going on. We began with oyster shots, bleu cheese oysters, chowder and the ribs! Beef ribs were perfect, tender and meaty. The bar began to fill then the rest of the space with patrons. My wife ordered the beef loin, perfection. I went old school with the local burger. Mom had the acorn squash and really enjoyed it. My bride had champagne while I worked on my red Quilceda from home....normal corkage fee but nice interaction with the manager about the wine.I believe some in the area will think it over priced but it is well in line with what we experience in the North Sound. It is really nice to have a great intimate spot when in the Grays Harbor area, right on the way to the beaches!

The experience was above and beyond... Great restaurant. We were passing through Aberdeen on our way down Oregon coast, and spotted Rediviva on Yelp for good reviews. We couldn't order and eat everything we wanted to try, but fresh and baked oysters, clams in broth, and roasted duck over risotto with local chanterelles were delicious, and their Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir were fine. They cook really fine food. The restaurant has great atmosphere, modern paintings on the walls, towels in bathrooms, and most helpful and enthusiastic staff.

We ate lunch at Rediviva recently. Both of us felt we would not enjoy being seated at one of the tables/banquettes that run the length of the restaurant--very little privacy. If we were a table for four or six, it wouldn't matter so much, but sitting in the laps of another couple is not something we would enjoy. However, we were one of three parties in the restaurant, so lack of privacy was not an issue. I will only comment on my wilted spinach salad. The salad is overloaded with large chunks of bacon, chunks of blue cheese and a portion of a grilled chicken breast. The spinach was left with whole leaves, so I found myself stuffing stems into my mouth after i'd taken a bite. The salad was awash in dressing. So much dressing that I had to be careful not to slosh it on myself as I transported dripping salad to mouth. Of course, those stems didn't help . This salad had just too much of everything--too much dressing, too many tastes fighting for notice: spinach, dressing, wilted onions, blue cheese, bacon and the slices of chicken. I wouldn't order it again. My partner liked his fries and thought the crab roll was OK. Our service was excellent.

Rediviva is an absolute first rate restaurant...compared to anywhere, anytime. The prices are absolutely reasonable and so worth it to receive high quality food. We dine here on an average of at least once a week, many times twice. Their small plates are perfect and their menu changes regularly. They have a few mainstays but are always creating new fabulous dishes. If I have any hesitation regarding wine choices, I just leave it to the magnificent Stephen, the Front of House Manager for the restaurant, who has impeccable taste. All of the other employees receive an excellent rating as well. One of the best things to happen in Northwest Washington in recent history.

Rediviva is the answer to my culinary prayers! Everything is made to order with fresh and often local ingredients. I am in love with the baked mussels! I had never experienced baked mussels nor had I tried them with a bleu cheese sauce. The result is a delicate tender mussel with a creamy but not too rich sauce. Next on my list is the kale salad with pork belly, bleu cheese and a vinaigrette that isn't too overpowering. The best main course I have tried was the venison with blueberry glaze. It isn't always on the menu so grab it when you can! Having grown up in the PNW I've had venison cooked many ways, but this leaves the gamey tough flavor behind. It was the most tender flavorful steak I've ever had, and I will continue to order it each time it is on the menu. Combine this with the modern atmosphere, customer service oriented staff, and on-site sommelier, you will be in for a memorable experience. Oh, and be sure to try the Olympic Storm cocktail.

Was visiting Aberdeen and Ocean Shores on vacation with my husband for his birthday and was looking for a place to have a higher-end dinner to celebrate. We love places in Tacoma and Seattle that serve "new American" and were not disappointed with Rediviva. Great atmosphere, wonderful service and AMAZING food. We started with cocktails (I had a "Harbor 75", a cousin of the French 75) and moved on to raw oysters on the half shell. Beautiful kumamotos that were incredible with their champagne mignonette. The shortribs were great although we could have done with fewer potatoes and more of the housemade pickles. (Other thought, this would be a crazy good version of a cuban sandwich...). My husband had the venison and loved every bite. I had the duck with fried brussel sprout leaves which was crazy good. I'm not a big sweets person but was very pleased with the flourless chocolate cake. Would have liked to have seen some other desserts offered but the cake was pretty awesome. We will definitely be back for our next vacation to Ocean Shores!

Beautiful experience from beginning to end... Staff was super friendly right from the get go. NW feel in a modern setting. We asked to see the chef (Andy) because the food was so delicious! He told us where some of the decor and woodwork came from and we were impressed that he took the time and also chose to acquire very special and meaningful pieces locally. We had to get 6 different dishes just to taste what else there was on the menu! A true diamond in the rough for Aberdeen. Very sophisticated look, feel and taste - right down to the music and the artwork. Definitely a classy place to take your girl for an impressive meal that is surprisingly affordable.

Excellent food and good service. They don't serve bread with the meal, and the music is very loud, but we would definitely recommend this restaurant. We will be back - soon!

Rediviva is well worth a visit and dinner or lunch, and I would recommend it. The service is fantastic. The food is good and recipes quite creative. Clam chowder, for example, was loaded with clams. The waitperson we had was very knowledgeable about the menu and checked in on us, kept water glasses filled, etc. The reason I gave it three stars is that every dish at our table tasted excessively salty--even the fancy homemade donuts we had for desert were salty. The menu says substitutions are "politely declined". I understand the reasoning behind that, however many people have dietary concerns related to saturated fat, salt, intake, gluten, and(or) diary products and would love to taste great food that would be compatible with their lifestyle. I didn't see many offerings on this menu that took that into consideration. I was asked if I wanted my salmon medium rare, and it arrived medium--Sounds trivial, but there is a huge taste difference between the two--didn't bother sending it back because I was already very hungry when we ordered. My wife's pork loin was cooked just right. She liked the fact that the recipe used clove, but when we tasted it, the clove was just a bit too CLOVE!

We just had lunch at this new place. Definitely a step up in terms of ambiance, decor for Aberdeen. Overall I give this place a three star for effort. The restaurant has a lot of potential. The challenge will be about improving the execution of its dishes. Our Gleason burgers were gonna take some time so the house gave us comp croquets which I believe were made from crab meat. They tasted nice but visually they looked like they were over fried. In addition to the burgers we ordered the kale and warm spinach salads. First, the burgers had good flavor and composition. They included carmelized onions, blue cheese and from what my brother told me freshly ground steak burger patties. The patties themselves were less than warm temperature wise and the condiments were equally so. The thinly sliced chips were nicely seasoned with corse sea salt but there were a number of them over fried/burnt. A couple of slices were totally under cooked. I personally didn't taste the kale salad but a friseed approach would've been easier to handle versus a bowl of large pieces of torn kale. My spinach salad was very tasty. It had nice pieces of bacon chunks along with roasted/carmelized garlic cloves. The dressing was nice. My only comment on the spinach salad is I couldn't but help to think the kind of spinach they used came from commercial bags of spinach when great spinach can be sourced in bunches locally. Overall I want this restaurant to succeed because it just takes a place like this one to open doors for others to take a risk in a town like Aberdeen.

If you are in Aberdeen and in the mood for a lovely fine dinning experience with a laid back vibe then come to Rediviva. First I can't express enough how cool the building is. The old city structure that was updated to keep that turn of the century charm is awesome. The huge entry way door is beautiful as is the bar. I just loved the whole feel of this place along with the dark funky art adorning the walls. Our waitress was quick to seat us and get our starting drinks in. She was very sweet and had a fantastic knowledge of the menu. My mother and I came in particularly to try some local Wa oysters. We were not disappointed, we had both the local grays harbor and the shigoku, both were amazing. The mignonette to accompany them was absolutely phenomenal. Least to say we ate a ton of oysters. After all that amazingness my mother and I enjoyed some crispy brussel spouts with a wonderful strawberry glaze, seriously this dish kicked butt. I ordered a cup of clam chowder and my mother had the butter lettuce salad with pears and Gorgonzola, and no surprise it was all absolutely yummy. To top it all off this place had the best music too, whatever the station was it rocked, not too loud but perfect! So if you love amazing food, awesome atmosphere, and good drinks definitely give this place a try, you will not regret it.

I'm on the fence with this review....the overall experience was probably a 4-star, but based on food flavor alone, it's more like a 3-star. We tried this place while road-tripping around the 101, it was refreshing to try something totally new and off the beaten path. The atmosphere was cool, nice rustic/mod design. The place is a little too loud, they might do their patrons a favor and install some acoustic panelling to cut down on the noise; it was hard to have a conversation. It was a bustling Friday night though, so I digress. I appreciate the farm-to-table philosophy. The menu selection was eclectic and playful. The flavor fell a little short of expectations though. My overall impression is that the chef may have a salt-phobia...everything was way under salted. Still, the food was prepared beautifully, and the presentation was creative. A generous pinch of salt in every course would have completely changed our experience. Also, the wait time between our appetizers and main course was way too long. Not sure if the kitchen was over-tasked or what, but we waited at least twenty minutes before our main dishes were served. Otherwise, the service was excellent. And the host (possibly the owner?) was friendly and attentive. The place is a little over-priced, but the portions were decent. We would probably give this place another go if we are ever back in Aberdeen.

We chose this restaurant because of its Yelp reviews but found it didn't quite live up to the hype. We were traveling through the area on vacation. I understand that good food takes time but either the kitchen was slow or the wait staff was the issue. We had a reservation and were seated immediately but our appetizer order (raw oysters) took almost 40 minutes to get to our table. The ice under the oysters had turned to mostly water. The manager (owner?) had told us our salad was on its way but we didn't see it until 25 minutes later. We had asked to share the salad. They did separate it onto 2 plates (4ish pieces of baby Bibb lettuce per plate) but charged us $2.50 to do the split. I have seen a fee for entree splitting before but not to split a salad. One of us had duck which he felt to be overdone. The people at the table next to us had sent their duck dish back saying it was tough. I had the salmon which was decent. Perhaps our experience wasn't typical but for a meal in this price category the meal and service were not outstanding.
