Namaste Asian Markets

The pho lacks a little compared to Pho Dang and Pho Hong, but the price is better and so are the waiting times. You can sit down right away here while Pho Dang has a line out the door. I had the beef pho, which included all cuts of beef. The meatball was a little too tough for me and there was no beef tendon, but for the price, I can't complain. We also tried the beer banh mi this time. The sauce was good and it was piping hot when it came out, but I do prefer the pork and chicken banh mi much more. This place is a lot less crowded than its counterpart across the street (*cough cough* Pho Dang). No wait and certainly no wait outside in the cold! I'll definitely take that and the prices!
The last couple of months when I want to order a bahn mi they are sold out. Ordered dumplings today and the nice lady informed me they were new. New and terrible the 3 of us concluded. We wanted to like them but they looked bad and tasted bad. Inconsistent quality of food is a real problem here. Its sad but Namaste Asian Market in Winooski its over between us.
We came here for dinner. Wow! What a great little place. We had the Veggie Dumplings, Shrimp Chow Mein and Spicy Rice Noodles with Shrimp. All were excellent. Portions are huge, prices are low and everyone is very friendly. We'll definitely be back!

I'm slowly working my way through their menu. Just tried their Pad Thai with Tofu & Veggies. It's also available with chicken or beef. This is definitely the best Pad Thai in the Winooski area! I've been meaning to try it for a while now. It's not on their printed menu, but I see it listed on the white board when I pick up my orders. The noodles were moist and soft, but didn't clump together. The sauce was great, with a nice mix of tofu, mushrooms, peppers, celery, and broccoli.
This place was packed for lunch! A bit divey, but clean and packed to the gills with people and I can see why, I ordered the #31 pork chop with rice and egg and it was quite good. Service was quick too. I'd recommend this place and I'll likely be back to try the Pho' and fresh spring rolls. A Note on the seasoning: Though quite good, The seasoning on the pork chop and in the sauce was different than other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. The chop seemed to have been marinated in only soy sauce versus the usual fish sauce, lime, garlic, and sugar (and sometimes lemongrass) marinade I've typically seen. The side of sauce seemed to be fish sauce, water, sugar, and a teensy bit of vinegar vs the usual lime, fish sauce, water, sugar, and green onion sauce I've usually seen. So, if you've had Vietamese before, you might find this a little different.
The food here is great! Everything is under $10 (except the occasional shrimp dish) and it is guaranteed to fill you up. On my last visit I had Bun Ga Nuong Cha Gio (#14); Vermicelli noodles with chicken, egg roll and sauce made from the gods (can't tell if it was the greatest thing I had ever eaten or the fact that I was starving). Despite the delicious food, the atmosphere is less than ideal. First of all everything is sort of 'sticky' and doesn't feel like it has been cleaned too well. The staff is family run which can create some awkward situations when the daughter is yelling at her mom (?). It makes the experience a little unpleasant. Next time I'll order it to-go so I can enjoy it from a more tranquil place.

Winooski Subway isn't too bad. Plenty of seating but the space seems under used. Every time I come in here there is quick and friendly help. It's of course got the consistency of chain quality food so nothing newsworthy there. But I'm typically satisifed with Subway. This one is in a decent location off the main Colchester-Winooski road and sits next to the laundromat. Handy spot while you are running laundry in the machines. There were a couple of times where the beverage fountain was running out of a couple of items. At most I see two people working here at a time so they likely aren't keeping watch on beverage levels.

Food was very good. They offered me the gluten-free pasta that they had available. The pesto was very light and fresh not to Oily. This is great for comfort food, not much of atmosphere. My experience was good overall except for the massive group of children running around our table yelling and screaming, I couldn't believe the owner would let something like this happen. I'm all for kids behaving well and particularly sitting at their own table.
I'd not eaten here for years, and my memories of my last meal are not favorable. But we wanted some basic, Italianate comfort food, delivered. I think that the best of our order was Joe's white clam sauce linguini. A generous portion. Good balance of flavors and elements. Second place was my side of sausage, which was really a generous sausage in a heaping pile of appealing red sauce. Third was my small antipasto. This is where they start to show their limitations. It was pre--sliced deli meats and pre-shredded mozzarella, with some uninspiring olives, all on a bed of iceberg lettuce that wasn't fresh. Oh, and the sort of grape tomatoes you can get year 'round. During the only month or so when you can get them fresh. The cheese-covered garlic bread, well, again. The assembly of commodity foodstuffs. Having said all that, there is a straightforward honesty to their food, and if that's what you want, this is a good place to get it.
Huge portions, cheap menu, great service, and happy tummies!! What else could you ask for?!? I ordered the linguini with broccoli and pesto sauce, and I couldn't be happier! It was delicious! My family also raved about the ziti Alfredo, baked ravioli and chicken Parmesan! Oh, and the garlic bread they serve with your entree is mouth watering! Soooo good! After a very pricey couple of traveling days, we sure did appreciate a budget friendly menu that catered to every taste bud in our family!

Excellent food and excellent service. Not sure why there are so many 1-star reviews. I have been eating here for years and not once have I had a problem. The food is great, always ready when I come to pick up, and delivery is fast. I have never had an issue and their customer service is great. They don't charge me to use a credit card and I've never had any issues with using one for a small amount. The portions are generous and for the price they're a great value. You're not paying for a 5-star dining experience so don't expect 5-star quality. It is what it is, great Chinese take out with a great delivery service.
Just got some take out from here last night. When i got home from picking it up i had a misseed call from them, and my phone was ringing from them calling me a second time. I forget to get the bag with the appetizers in it. They sent a delivery guy out right away and the meal was complete within 10 minutes! Excellent service! We had Mongolian beef and a beef/green beans dish and both were excellent. Lots of good ginger in the Mongolian beef. The interior of the restaurant is very neat and clean and the people are friendly. I'll certainly be back for more.
Great freshly made food and fast and courteous service at a very affordable prices. I always get chicken wings and the ginger chicken but I keep trying other dishes and so far nothing has disappointed me. Their wings really are amazing. Very tasty and crispy. The ginger chicken is authentic and with the perfect amount of ginger. It's not overpowering hot or sweet. It's just right. The generous portions and quality of everything is fantastic. It shows that this family really cares about providing a great value without sacrificing taste or quality. Jin is my new go to for chinese takeout!

The pizza isn't as good as Freshetta, which you can get for considerably less at your local grocery store.
excellent pizza, excellent service, excellent wings!
Best pizza in Winooski/Burlington. If you're from a city and looking for great NY style pies this is the spot. This is non brick oven pizza at its best. The locals and the service may leave something to be desired but the pizza does not disappoint. Walk in, order a medium meat lovers and enjoy the bliss.

Good strong adult beverages at a good price compared to the surrounding competition and the deep fried asparagus half off appetizer tasted good. Going to go again soon and sit outside
Skip this dump. The bartenders are catty, gossip and lie about their customers and they are only friendly to locals. A rough crowd to say the least - plenty of missing teeth, etc. The salads are large and good - I'll give them that little bit. I just couldn't get passed how dirty it was. Also, I did not feel they were OPEN to anyone from different ethnic backgrounds, cities, etc. It's interesting how intolerable the staff was when the head bartender's son is in and out of jail and another bartender is gay. I could care less - but who are they to judge where we are from and who we are? Let the locals rule this place. Students and tourists stay AWAY! Just a bit of advice from a LA girl.
Steer clear of thier Mexican food. It's the most you will pay for subpar quality. Partly it's my fault for getting Mexican food at an Irish pub.

I ate here for the first time last night and the food was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and the service was spectacular!
Had lunch here with my son. Hot and sour soup was very greasy and oily. Pad Thai noodles were mushy and SWIMMING in a strange sauce. My sons General Tsao's chicken was ok. We won't go back. The best part of our lunch was the (pre-wrapped) after dinner buttermints.
The only reason this restaurant is getting two stars is because their sushi is good most of the time. Their entrees are over priced and terrible! Hands down worst calamari I've had in my life.
