Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

This is THE BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD. Amount of sauce, amount of cheese, amount of cook, thickness and crispiness of crust, type of cheese, and flavor of sauce -- all just about perfect, coming together to create just an awesome awesome awesome pizza.

Wow, Italian deliciousness! I was not expecting much from this place, but I was completely awed by the total tastiness of the stuffed shells! The tomato sauce was delicious with real bits of tomato and a bit sweet. The shells were perfectly al dente with a little bit of baked goodness and the cheeeeeese.... Oh yum. This plate of stuffed shells totally made my day. Oh, it also came with some garlic bread and salad but it was all about the shells. Looking forward to trying more of the menu items! Yum! Update: tried the "cheese salad" today as well as the meatballs. These cheese salad was basically a garden salad with an overwhelming amount of tasteless cheese. The meatballs had the same excellent sauce as the stuffed shells but we're not exceptional- very standard sub shop style meatballs. Stick with the stuffed shells! They do not disappoint!

As an option for eat out night while on vacation, this was a pleasant surprise. The pizza was really good. Nicely sauced and cooked well enough so the veggies on the onion, pepper and mushroom pizza did not make it soggy. The vegetables were nice and fresh. My daughter enjoyed the cheese ravioli and the garlic bread was nicely seasoned and not overwhelmed with cheese.

Ladies and gentlemen, you have arrived. Welcome to The Pizza Chef. Yes, I said "the." Why? Because you have reached the pinnical of pie. Pizza Chef is an institution. Don't make a mistake and buy pizza from one of those "other" pie holes. Pizza chef has outlasted countless pizza joints in Windsor and will last til the end of time. On a serious note, why do pizza place have video games? Better yet, why don't other restaurants have them? BTW Chef used to have a friggin Congo pinball machine. Congo the movie. Sweet. The grilled chicken salad has addictive chemicals.

Pizza was solid, it had a nice crisp to it and toppings were good. I probably wouldn't get the wings again since they reheat them in a pizza oven since they don't seem to have a fryer. I wouldn't get pasta either as they were just putting it in a microwave to cook it. Get the pizza though, it is pretty good.

Their pizza is very good. Some of the other entrees aren't as good, especially the fried items. The atmosphere is laid back, family style, often with little kids wandering around. But it's fun. There's a pool table and a couple video games.

Pizza Chef is always clean and the food consistently good. Try the gluten free pizza...you won't be disappointed, even my husband likes it. Everyone that has come to visit has loved their pizza, whether from North Carolina, Oregon or Massachusetts. They have a huge menu with pizza, hot and cold sandwiches, italian dinners and more The atmosphere is a little rustic and relaxed but that is fine for a casual night out.

Pizza is good, but that's the only thing worth ordering. Aside from that, the 1964 decor needs some major updating.

Stopped in here today off a recommendation via an app on my phone. I was thoroughly impressed through and through. I grew up eating Greek style pizza, and was excited to see the pans when I first walked in. The pizza was phenomenal and on par with my two favorite Greek style places. The toppings were abundant and thin enough to be manageable, yet thick enough to hold their juices. The pizza was crispy and held it's own weight, which in my opinion is the standard to judge Greek style by. They bake all their appetizers from the looks of it. We ordered the jalapeño poppers and mozzarella sticks. Neither were the cheap US Food Supply staples you often see. The sticks were Italian breaded and the poppers were cheddar filled. Neither were greasy which was such a nice change of pace. They had quite a beer selection as well, boasting the typical bottles, as well as Switchback, Harpoon (brewed in Windsor,) and Michelobe on draft. They had a pool table and arcade games to keep the kids busy and not screaming at tables, and a bar for those like me without children. The place had a great casual feel definitely worth returning to.

Best pizza on Earth. I've lived in VT, MA, FL, and NY and I can not find pizza as tasty, cheap and consistent as it is here. Anytime I'm in Vermont, this place is on the top of my list for places to stop and eat. Try it, and you will forever crave it! Oh, and the dining room is exactly the same as it was when I was growing up in the 80's. Same plants, bench seats, walls and possibly video games! Yeah, it could use an update- but who cares! The pizza is amazing!

I was in New Hampshire climbing the presidential mountain range. After three days of hiking on the drive home I was absolutely starving. In this part of the state there is absolutely nothing unless you drive into a town. Went down the mainstreet and saw a few restaurants and Pizza Chef looked like the best thing that would be quick and cheap. The decor looks like it hasn't changed since the 80s and they have an incredibly large dining room, go figure for this tiny town. Service was fast and friendly and man was this pizza good. I ordered a mini pie that consisted of ham, broccoli, and bacon and their crust was awesome. It was like how I remember Pizzahut's pan pizza used to be before they started sucking a big one. The benefit was also the ingredients were fresh, and it was not greasy. The bacon had crisped up nicely on the pie and after 3 days of eating MREs this was an absolute treat.

I've been to pizza chef in Windsor a few times and have never left disappointed. The pizza is always delicious and the salads are always fresh and crisp. The people there are so nice and I love the atmosphere inside. Great place!!

There are "Village Pizza's" and "Pizza Chef's" all over NH & VT. Most are Greek owned and run and the pizza, subs and sides are of a very similar style. Windsor's Pizza Chef is one of the best of it's kind. The staff is great and I've never had a bad meal there. I grew up on this style of pizza and they do it very well. Not overly greasy, good range of toppings, fairly priced. Their subs and salads are simple but well prepared with fresh ingredients. They do not have a fryolator, so all their chicken fingers, fries, etc. are prepared in the pizza oven. All still tasty but something to consider if you are expecting a deep fried mozzarella stick. The dining room really does need an update, it's a bit shabby and out of date. The furnishings just don't do the place justice.

Great local pizza joint. We were at St. Gaudin's park across the river and went on a search for some sangos to take over and eat on a picnic over there (beautiful spot by the way, I'll see if I can right a review on here too), so we chose this place, as the cafe across the street a little ways had about 5 wraps to choose from. Anyways, the subs were all very tasty. I got a chicken finger with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, pickles and mustard....very very good. I was a little skeeved out by them throwing the chicken fingers in the oven from frozen....looked like they did not have a deep fryer. Went here with my mom and dad and sister, and when we got in, we took solace in the fact that this joint on which we were rolling the dice was packed full of locals at lunch time.....definitely a good sign. I played a car racing arcade game while I waited and that was a lot of fun. There are 2 big dining room areas so you can fit a good amount of folks in there. Next to the arcade area there were some somewhat unruly pre-teen customers who seemed to be making a mess. "Hey, enjoy it while you can before school starts back up!" Right??!?!?!? They also have pitchers of beer for $5 or 6 bones, huge deal. Didn't partake, but sure did love the fact that one of the beers on tap was the legendary 19th hole - Michelob Light. Now I'm kind of regretting that I didn't get a pitcher to split with the folks....would have been nice to have a refreshing draught while waiting for our subs to be made. The staff is friendly and the menu is pretty extensive. The pizza looked delicious. The spaghetti and meatballs looked like you could make better at home! But let's not end on a negative note - they also have one of those arcade machines where you try to grab a stuffed animal by lowering the claw! I almost won one that I would have given to our hound doggy, Doodle Head. Great times, go here if you're in the 'hood.

I am pizza crazy. I love pizza. Pizza Chef did not disappoint. The crust is very thick and buttery, so I know I ate far too many calories, but it was worth it.
