    Management is awesome and all the workers are so courteous!! I just wanted to hug each of them. That nice. Food tastes great and from what I've seen, their pies are also really popular. Didn't get a chance to this time but I think I'll also pick a few stuff up from their bakery.

    They close at 4 pm. Serve food til 3 pm. Why, at 230 pm are they placing the chairs on the tops of the tables as if they were closing down?! They even asked a couple to move to a different area because they wanted to put those chairs on the tables to close up (again, at 230 pm). It's so rude. My food was good but I won't go back. Who wants to be eating when they are packing up/ closing down a full hour and a half before they are supposed to?!?! It's like they were kicking us out.

    Favorite brunch place in the area!!! Consistently good with amazing salmon benedict and delicious baked goods. Prices are comparable to other breakfast places. They also have great fancy-ish prepared foods -- the kind that you would find at an upscale grocery market. Best of all, in the year and a half I have been coming here, never a wait for weekend brunch!!!! Why wait an hour and a half at a Burlington spot when you can be seated right away in their spacious dining room or patio? No clue!

    Love this place for a great breakfast or lunch. Recently ordered their pre cooked Thanksgiving meals, they were amazing. I'd stick to their savory ideas. Kid friendly and a nice casual fresh meal.

    The veggie quiche is delicious! And the salmon Eggs Benedict is one of the best! Their coffee is not that great and you order at the counter and then sit which is a bit awkward, but a great place none-the-less! Definitely will be returning!

    So, so, so disappointed. I went here for lunch, having had a great experience one other time. I noticed they had "kahlua pork" on the menu, and I joked with the cashier and someone who seemed to be the manager that they spelled it wrong (there's no "h"in kalua). Kalua pig is a traditional Hawaiian dish (and this particular dish was marketed as such) that has a salty, smoky flavor and is usually served with steamed cabbage and white rice. I know this because I'm from Hawaii, and thought I would give it a try because I was excited to find this dish in this area. Unfortunately, this was not only disappointing, it was barely palatable. For starters, I waited quite a long time to receive my takeout food (there were only one or two people ahead of me in line and only a couple people came through while I waited). When I opened the package, the presentation was terrible... The rice and pork were really greasy and were sliding around a too-big container. There was some kind of weird sweet and sour sauce drizzled over both the rice and the pork, and just did not taste good... And definitely did not taste like kalua pork! I actually felt ill after trying to eat this. To top it off, I paid over $14 for this meal! I'm giving this two stars because I know this place is usually really great, and the staff was friendly... But please don't market and serve something if you have no concept of what it is you're serving. Kalua pork is actually quite simple to make and delicious when done right... Such a disappointment.

    In general I love this place and come often for a brunch made of real food. 3 stars are because I cannot for the life of me get an egg cooked the way I ask for it. I ask for medium-hard and time after time it comes out completely runny, including the whites. If I send it back and re-specify that I'm not looking for a completely hard egg but AM looking for there to be no runny white part, it comes back hard as a rock all the way through the yellow. I know eggs are tricky, but this seems like a real basic for a brunch place. I wish they would focus some attention on standardizing times for cooking eggs to order. It has happened so many times that I'm beginning to seek other brunch spots, though this one is more convenient and has always been a fave. Huge fan of the roasted Brussels sprouts, p.s.

    When I am in the area (seasonally) I eat here everyday: either breakfast or lunch. It is my favorite restaurant because of the amazing staff, consistent quality, food flavor and atmosphere. I always feel that I am in a cool Euro Cafe.

    We chose to eat here based on other Yelp reviews. It was an interesting experience for brunch. This really is a serve-yourself type of place. You place your order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. You serve yourself water, coffee, etc. I guess I was not expecting that and when I go out for breakfast or brunch, I like to have a server come by regularly with hot coffee. Oh well, maybe I'm spoiled. I ordered a Mesclun Salad and added the roasted chicken. The dressing was really quite good (house vinaigrette). The chicken was delicious and very well cooked. The only thing I would say is that the portion of chicken was quite small. The bread and butter served on the side were also delicious. My boyfriend ordered the Green Mountain Veggie Quiche. I think he was expecting a slightly larger portion than what arrived, but the quiche was good. The salad on the side was a nice, healthy alternative to fried potatoes as well. It was a good brunch but definitely a little on the pricey side. A salad, quiche and two coffees ran us about $30. The desserts in the display case looked awesome, so I would like to return to check those out on a day when I'm not eating lunch.

    Lunch out with my mom after dropping my SO off at the airport to catch the bus to Boston! We didn't know what to have, as we drove around talking, I suggested Chef's corner, I have heard good things of it from yelp and word of mouth so it was definitely worth a visit. We missed the place first and second time when trying to find it (silly me, I didn't turn on the GPS on my phone!) It is in the same building as the Lenny's, they share a parking lot! We walked into the bakery and immediately are wowed by how delicious the baked goods looked. Oh my, we were definitely going to bring some treats home to the rest of the family! As for the food! I got this stuffed pocket that had bacon and cheddar cheese. My mom got the quiche. I was not impressed with my pocket, it had mushrooms (I don't remember it saying that it did on the board, I forgot to check on the way out!) and minimal amounts of cheese while the bacon lacked substance and flavor. The salad that came with it was not of interest for me, I'm more of a ranch type of gal. My mom loved her quiche tho! Dessert was a shared little cupcake sized strawberry cheesecake with a little raspberry drizzled on the plate. The edges were meh, kind of rubbery with a slightly odd taste. It was still good tho. Now for the winner: A strawberry almond scone. Oh my goodness, it was the best thing I think I've had the pleasure of eating in who knows how long. I wish I had gotten two of them. Definitely worth a visit, give it a try and maybe you'd find something "oh my goodness" good!

    If we lived here, I would come to Chef's Corner all the time. Full pot of tea for you or to share, multitude of pastries, fresh brunch options and great prices. Oh and the service is excellent also. People smile at one another, take their time, enjoy their meal and leave a generous tip. And if you are a loyal customer, they throw large self catered party to celebrate their wholesome familial staff and neighborhood frequenters. Their food is fresh, the portions are generous and I always end up taking something home. Oh and did I mention- they make their own chocolate pieces for holidays?

    I consistently attend this place for weekend brunch and have been here a couple of times during the week and I have not had a single issue. The food is unbeatable. The pastries are amazing. And the service is spot on. I recommend this to anybody local or even out of town visitors want to support small and local. This quiet and quaint cafe is the place to be!

    delicious pear, gorgonzola, and walnut salad fur lunch...w/ a wonderful latte (thanks for the shortbread cookie side). delicious all around and a lovely staff. beautiful baked goods and will definitely be back...Many gluten free selections too! Peak Vets recommended you ... will be back!

    Chef's Corner is always dependable when it comes to fresh baked items and salads. It's designed like a bakery in that you walk in to find a large display case of baked goods and a variety of salads or casseroles. They have a menu posted behind the display counter for sandwiches and special (breakfast/lunch). I usually stop in for a sandwich and a salad. All of the bread is baked there and very fresh on the sandwiches I've ordered here. The salads are also excellent. The service is OK. You place your order at the counter and are given a number to place on any table you wish to sit at in the dining area. The dining area is open with many small tables that you can arrange for larger parties if you wish. They also have a small patio. The waitstaff comes out with your order after a bit and looks for your table. The service can get slow if it's busy in here (usually weekend). I also tried ordering one of the beers they offer (by bottle) but the staff seemed perplexed as to how I get it. They first told me it was in the cooler with the other bottled drinks: nope. Then they said it would come out with my meal: nope. So I ended up, after getting my sandwich, having to go back to the counter to ask a third time where someone went back and fetched it for me. Confusing. It's a best bet for lunch or even brunch. It's a comfortable vibe, not exactly a quiet place to dine but the food is always consistently great. I think you truly get what you pay for here.

    Amazing New England clam chowder. Very fresh and it had corn in it which I've never had or noticed at least, but I liked it. Had the pork sandwich which was also great. They apparently make the thank in house which was cool.

    Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, it's off to Chef's Corner we go..!!!! That has got to be my most favorite thing to hear out of my hubs mouth first thing on a Saturday morning. Seriously, have you had their Eggs Benedict? How about their coffee? Or any of the colorful desserts in the case? Luckily, I'm very much so attracted to both brightly colored and shiny things, so I made many pastry purchases here based on their blinding colors alone... And you know what, they were AWESOMELY delicious to boot. My other half likes to get the All American or the Eggs Benedict for breakfast and will wash it down with a Monument Farms chocolate milk (No, he isn't celebrating his 8th birthday today). I typically go for a coffee containing their regular blend with a splash of hazelnut (I'm fancy like that). Whatever tickles your fancy food-wise, Chef's Corner surely has you covered. Carefully thought out and crafted food is what you can expect here.. I feel the price matches the quality, so no complaints there (I'm no cheapskate, after-all.. Sheesh)... So jazz on Chef's Corner, you rock my world.. Err-- You know what I mean.

    I was finally able to make it there 5 minutes before they close. They were very friendly, and told me to take my time deciding what I wanted. I got the small whole carrot cake. The cake has a smooth texture - the carrot was grated thinly enough that you have the flavor without having to chew on the carrots. The frosting is creamy, light, and not too sweet. I would definitely get this cake again... well, maybe after I try all the others as well. I also got their chocolate macaroons... baked with a nice crunchy outside and a chewy inside. The size of the chocolate bits was perfect, just the right size so that you are not chewing of pieces but enjoying the taste. Can't wait to go again and try the next tasty item.

    Chef's Corner Cafe is a great place to grab breakfast and catch up with friends and family. The food is much better than diners and it's really a pancake house with a selection. If you did order pancakes they gave you a dispenser of maple syrup. Once you order food from upfront they'll take it to your table when its ready, water and coffee is self served if you ordered. If you ordered tea they give you your own personal tea pot. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is like eating at a large home kitchen.

    A very popular lunch spot any day of the week, the food is fresh and well executed, the counter-to-table service is fairly quick, and the deserts are temptingly wonderful. And the coffee, my husband tells me, is above average. The menu is on the chalk boards above the counter displays to your right. The counters are filled with unavoidably good cookies, pastries, and cakes, and somehow you are supposed to think about which salad or sandwich you want while the fruit tarts are pleading for you attention below! You order your meal and pay at the counter, take a piece of plastic with your number displayed, and find a seat, if you can (tough on Sunday after church!) At the counter, they will give you any item you ordered out of the display case, and you serve yourself water and coffee. When the kitchen items are ready, a server will come out with it and find you by the number, which you will have displayed prominently on your table. I usually get one of the vegetable dishes/salads displayed in the counter -- always good, if sometimes a bit salty. The last time, I had these Mediterranean green beans tossed with olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and red onion. Even though we had no utensils (they give these to you right after you pay at the counter, but no utensils come out until they sere you the stuff from the kitchen), we at this with our fingers and couldn't stop, it was so addictive. In the past, I've also had a lovely thai-style noodle salad form the counter as well as a very good chicken salad. This last time, we ordered the Quiche Lorraine, which was everything it was supposed to be: custardy-but-not-watery texture, buttery crust, tasty bacon, and just the right amount of cheese. This is one of my favorite places to get a quiche. We subbed in a Caesar for the usual garden greens. The greens were nice and fresh, and the dressing was..above average. Flavorful and thick, maybe a tad too much lemon and not enough anchovies, but better than average for a casual eatery. We did not get a desert this time, but have in the past -- the cookies were great, as were the meringues and other pastries. The only thing that disappointed me was the mini cheesecake -- I hated the gelatinous coating on top, and the texture was at once too dense and gooey. Great lunch spot, especially if you just want something quick and healthy.

    One day a week, my son's college classes at Vermont Technical College require me to drive him to school because I need the car to get my daughter from school and he needs the car to get to work. The deal we arranged is that I drive him to his class, wait in Williston for an hour, and then he treats me to lunch or breakfast and drop him off at work. His father picks him up on his way. All year long, I've avoided Chef's Corner because I heard it was expensive. I'm really, really sad now. If anything, the bakery needs to market to the students a little more proactively because they don't have a cafeteria and rely on takeout in the area to bring back to the student lounge. I had the fritatta and loved it. There were more mushrooms and spinach leaves than egg, and that's a good thing. My son tried their breakfast sandwich and home fries and said he's getting his sandwiches from there for the rest of the year, even though there's really only a month left. Prices were fair. It's not fast food prices, but this is quality, not junk! The only thing I'm slightly bummed about is that they don't have Wi-Fi. If they did, I could happily sit and work until his class ended. Starbucks still appears to be the only place near the college with free Wi-Fi, and as horrible as their drinks are, I have work to get done in that hour that I'm waiting. Given that, I think in the future, I'll go get a coffee and muffin to go and sit in VTC's parking lot and use their guest connection until my son's class ends.

    Chef's corner serves excellent breakfast, easily the best in the greater Burlington area. Haven't been for lunch, but often stop by to get some sweets or salads to bring home. Try the eggs Benedict or the always changing Benedict on special. You wont be disappointed here...

    Went for breakfast there recently with my elderly aunt, celebrating by deceased uncle's "Father's Day". I had a plain croissant which was fine. My aunt ordered pancakes and they were not cooked in the middle. We mentioned this to someone who appeared to be a supervisor, etc and he just kind of snorted, "I'll bring you another". We were seated next to the door to the kitchen and heard a very rude exchange among several of the cooks or managers with colorful language that would make a sailor blush. My aunt caught a couple words and simply said "what kind of place is this?" I was a bit dumb founded as I thought it was a nice place. She eventually got her pancakes but did not eat much much as she had lost her appetite. She was worried they might be inconvenienced and put something in her food. I doubt that (or would certainly hope not anyway!). Later, an older gent who appeared to be a manager, etc. was pretty cocky to a couple young ladies at a table nearby when they asked for another dish to share their food. Needless to say, I won't go back or recommend anyone visit there. Free refills on coffee gets them one star. I would hope their food is cleaner than their "potty mouths".

    Talk about a hidden gem - not only is this place tucked away in a strip mall, but it's not very well marked so you must either be in the know or a yelper to find this great little cafe! Had breakfast here my last morning visiting in VT and boy was it hard to choose from the wide selection of offerings. From fresh baked pastries, to french toast topped with Vermont maple syrup, to breakfast paninis the possibilities were endless! After much internal struggle I settled on an egg frittata with mushrooms and spinach, plus a chocolate croissant for dessert. What, doesn't everyone have dessert after breakfast? The frittata came out piping hot and perfectly cooked, while the the chocolate croissant was light, buttery and had the just right ratio of chocolate to bread. One standout worth mentioning is the coffee is self-serve, and I was delighted to see that they had iced coffee at the ready! How awesome is that? No need to melt glasses and glasses of ice to cool down hot coffee here, they've got brewed coffee cooled and on tap. In an attempt to try and sample as much as possible from the bakery I also picked up a house made energy bar that was chock full of nuts, raisins, dates, coconut, carrots and the kitchen sink...it was sooo good and the perfect healthy snack to en route back to California. Oh, did I mention that it's only 10 minutes to BTV airport? Which makes it the best place to stop for either breakfast or lunch before flying out - save yourself bad airport food and eat here!

    Purchased $22.50 worth of small pastries to take to a dinner party we were heading to. When we arrived at the social event, we found most pastries broken because the Chef's Corner staff member felt placing them in a bag instead of a box would be fine. Buyer beware. Ask for a box!

    We came here for breakfast twice while we were staying in the area. It reminds me a little of Panera Bread. The restaurant is very clean, staff was friendly, and food was tasty. You order off the menu, they give you a number, you find a table, and they bring you your food. The first time I went I was really excited because they make their own gluten-free bread on site and it was really good. My husband got a tasty breakfast sandwich. The second time I ordered breakfast to takeout. They actually ran out of gluten-free bread after I put my order in. I was really disappointed but the manager (I think) told me that my breakfast would be on him and they he actually gave me a refund for the breakfast I already ordered. I really appreciated that they went so far to try to make it right. I would definitely come back to this place if I am ever in the area again.

    Pretty fancy little place, but still friendly. The chicken Caesar salad was very good as was the pear, walnut and blue cheese salad. I knocked off 1 star because it was overpriced- almost $30 for the two salads after adding meat to them.

    O.K., so I have been here for lunch and it is,..well... O.K. I must be missing something. Stopped by today to pick up some cookies for my coworkers and was SHOCKED at the price. Come on $2-2.50 for a SINGLE 3 to 31/2" diameter cookie. Have I been living on Mars or what? I don't consider myself cheap, but I could not enjoy a cookie at that price. I have always found them pricey for cakes $20.00 for a 6" layer cake. I will not be returning. There are plenty of other establishments that offer equally good (or better) fare at much more reasonable prices.

    I seem to go here alot. I leave happy and that intangible quality makes me want to go back. The paninis are a must. Salads and sides are homemade and the desserts are really good. We had them make our desserts for our wedding and it was a highlight for sure. It always seems busy there and it's easy to see why.

    I love this place. The atmosphere is nice and friendly. The food is really good, although I gave 4 stars because I didn't like their hollandaise sauce that they put on their eggs. But other than that, excellent. Service is wonderful.

    American breakfasts usually do me over. Hey, I grew up on rice and water for breakfast, the whole idea of bacon, eggs, sausage, and toast is kind of eye-widening. Well, Chef's was awesome - 1. It was a traditional American breakfast, but 2. in a non-traditional way. The blueberry pancakes - I think they made this with sweet sweet pixie dust. The batter was sweet yet not overwhelming and the blueberries - so fresh. The Salmon Benedict with a side of salad and vinagrette dressing - GET THIS! If only once. If the light fluffy bread cradling the perfectly cooked over easy egg and smoked salmon topped off with their tangy and savory (might I mention organic) hollandaise sauce doesn't get you, then you have no heart! Meanwhile a few stalks of asparagus saddled these pieces of heaven. The Blackened Chicken Panini - a solid choice - flavorful but a little too much cheese for me. Overall, a good spot to take a visitor or for when you want a treat.

    My dining partner and I were starving by the time we got there and so started by sharing a strawberry cream puff with our coffees. Divine. A light, fluffy pastry filled with slightly sweet cream and topped with fresh strawberries and just a touch of chocolate. Then came the eggs benedict on a freshly made baguette, with ham for me and smoked salmon for him. Yum! This is how hollandaise sauce is supposed to taste! While downtown Burlington restaurants seem to struggle with their hollandaise - too lemony in one place, another place tries to make hollandaise, of all things, good for you - Chef's Corner keeps it rich, traditional, and sinfully creamy. We felt pampered, by the excellent food, though the bill was quite reasonable. Full and with satisfying tastes on our tongues, we wanted to linger, but felt bad doing it when others were waiting for a table. Instead, we picked up some homemade VT cheddar crackers at the counter for later on and headed home. We will DEFINITELY be back!

    Chefs corner was a nice gem in Williston. My girlfriend suggested breakfast here right before we ventured off to Mt. Philo. I agreed and of course it was worth it, its a nice small and very relaxed place. Super friendly staff more than helpful, I had a pancake and bacon platter and omg! So good and very light amazing food, and my girlfriend had her eggs benedict dish which she said was very tasty. Also the pastries we bought for the beach were mhmm mmhmh good, this place is great.

    This place is fantastic! The food is fresh and amazing, and the portion sizes are perfect. I recommend getting a pastry treat as well, they have plenty to choose from. The blackened chicken panini is amazing for lunch. The best thing going I must say though, if you can make a brunch on the weekend is the Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce is authentic and perfect!

    Chef's Corner is a nice cozy place to eat. The food is usually very good. They offer cakes, pastries, breads and deli salads. It is open seven days a week for breakfast and lunch and their well known weekend brunch.

    Love their Blackened Chicken Panini and the side salad that comes with it; very tasty and the food is fresh. Pastries are equally great and the people are always nice, friendly, helpful, and courteous. I am however disappointed with the Eggs Benedict...the hollandaise sauce is too thick but this won't prevent me from eating here over and over again.

    I totally disagree with Kiki's review !! Found this place by my Hotel and it is incredibly awesome! First of all - the pastries are world class and so are the dishes. The ingredients couldn't be more fresh! My friend and I were here everyday even though we had a free breakfast at our hotel. The 2nd best thing is the employees, they are super friendly and remembered us everytime we came in and asked us how we were enjoying our visit!! I don't think they are over-priced and you could easily have coffee and toast for under $5 - but the pastries are too tempting to pass up. You order at the counter and then sit down, the regular coffee is free refills and personally I prefer being able to refill my own cup because I've waited as long as 10 minutes at popular restaurants hoping someone with a coffee pot would see my empty cup!! Then they bring you your order and clean up the empty tables efficiently all the while asking you if you need anything. Please go here if your in the area - it's so worth it!!!
