Very nice meal the day after Xmas at the Inn. Very quiet, no buzz about the place for sure but that's not why you come here. The food was all very good and we had a nice server. Apps of mussels, duck confit tart, salad and curried cauliflower soup were great. The salmon was delicious as was the duck and ended with a good chocolate mousse. Prices are on the high side but it's a nice place for a quiet special meal.

We were happily greeted by Lexie! Her beautiful brown eyes, and red hair, and tail, wagging cheerfully! Bob and Linda made our visit everything it should be! They greeted us as old friends....and treated us as very welcomed guests.... The inn is in wonderful shape... Updated without taking away from the historic farmhouse! Linda's green thumb is evident throughout the entire property. Our room was well appointed, and very comfortable. Dinner, crafted by Chef Greg, was also a 10... The salmon special was perfectly prepared, and darling hubby had the freshly smoked chicken, (applewood) when they brought it out, the smell was heavenly. We had a dessert of Maple pudding like dessert... That was also amazing... George provided a lovely musical accompaniment to a relaxed evening... Great selection of music. Bob and Linda were on hand, and we enjoyed a lovely visit with them. After a quiet, and restful nights sleep in a comfortable bed, Linda prepared a lovely breakfast of home made granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, and a Vermont frittata, with Vermont cheddar, that was hearty, and fresh. Don't miss visiting The Vermont Country Store just down the street....

We went to the Inn when we decided not to have a formal wedding and found the elopement package. Bob and Linda tended to our every needs and made our day special, intimate, and relaxed. I feel very fortunate to have found this place. The rooms are lovely. We stayed in the carriage house where the rooms have a patio, which make relaxing on a summer day after hiking enjoyable. The chef at the inn is excellent. If you're going to the playhouse, which is five minutes away by foot, do not bother eating anywhere else in town. You will not find a better meal, bottle of wine, or cocktail than at the inn! My husband and I travel a lot. We've stayed at many inns, but we've never experienced staying at an inn where we've felt so welcomed and such warmth from the innkeepers and inn staff. Bob and Linda have created an inn that is not only lovely but a truly special space.

A lovely Inn, in a lovely setting. Linda is such a welcoming presence. There was live piano music - which we very much enjoyed. The menu is not huge, but there were some appealing selections. I had the PEI mussels and scallop app. My husband had the tomato bisque, and the Petite Filet. At $32.00, I felt that is was a little too petite...but he absolutely loved it. there was a generous portion of fingerling potatoes on the plate, and 2 spears of asparagus. The mussels were tiny inside the shell, but free of pearls and sand- so I was happy. The Sea Scallops were perfectly cooked, and there was a crostini with delightful radish butter on the side. The grilled tomato was delish, topped with a clove of wilted garlic and the wilted arugula was also yummy. A gent at the next table had an Ahi Tuna entrée that looked DIVINE. The wine list is good - and I noticed an amazing selection of fine whiskeys and other libations at the bar. There is a cozy pub room with a few tables, 2 beautiful D.R.'s with appetizing red wallpaper...and a nice outdoor patio for dining. The flowers all around the Inn in summer are breathtaking...yet it would also be wonderful to dine here by the fire in winter months. This was perfect after a matinee at Weston Playhouse.

Had an amazing dinner there Saturday night. Super-friendly staff and a great menu. We had 3 appetizers: the short rib, the beet salad, and the scallop appetizer - all very well prepared, I'd have to say my favorite was the short rib - you could taste the flavor of the meat and it was served perfectly. For entrees we got the scallop dish and filet - again perfect portion size and both very flavorful. We also went through a bottle (yikes, or 2??) of white wine... they were out of Cakebread but we got the recommended "Pride" chardonnay which was excellent. The owners Bob and Linda were there - obviously very hands-on and involved with their establishment, and their dog Lexi (beautiful Golden Retriever and more well-behaved than many diners I've witnessed down in Manhattan!!) contributed to the at-home vibe. Overall a very charming environment with great food and excellent service.

Loved this place. Bob and Linda were absolutely wonderful as hosts. We checked in on a Friday night and dined there. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. The breakfast we had both Saturday and Sunday morning were out of this world. Everything they have from the fruit to the granola is fresh. Another thing we enjoyed about the Inn was it was so peaceful and quiet. Very relaxing. I must also say that when you turned the fireplace on the room got nice and toasty fast. I would highly recommend this place. Even their dog Lexi was a wonderful host. We enjoyed her immensely. Very well behaved.

First time dining here after passing it at least 100 times over a 15 year period. Where have I been?!?! Excellent service. There perfect combination of attentive, knowledgable, chatty, and willing to make specific recommendations when asked. We felt like guests in someone's home. Not knowing that the inn keeper himself was tending to the fire, he stopped by for a bit to contribute to the conversation and personally welcomed us. Totally elegant and delightfully non pretentious. The meal itself was perfect. Just perfect. Crisp and classic with a few curve balls. I loved that the ravioli and scallops were served together. My risotto was the best I've ever had complimented by a to-die-for medium rare steak. The third diner opted for a soup and salad combo. Across the board everything was perfect in presentation, richness of flavor, quality of ingredients, etc. Charming and welcoming atmosphere. Professional. We were 3. We made reservations. Upon arrival we made a last minute request to sit in front of the fireplace. With a smile they accommodated us and pushed two tables together and damn, we were no less than 5 feet from the glorious roaring fireplace on a frigid fall night. A night to remember. Thank you, Inn At Weston! Friends tell me they usually have live piano music as well. Too bad there's not a 6 star option! But grateful for the music of the fireplace.

This was our first time here and what an all around great experience from our wonderful hosts, Bob & Linda, our 1st class server, Pam, George ticking the keys and oh yes great food and wine! We'll be back again. Thank you all for making it a great evening! The Fischers (Montclair)

Amazing. I've eaten here 4 or 5 times and the chef continues to surprise. Whether its scallops, short ribs, duck breast, or "Asian crab cakes," his ideas are creative and execution is perfect. The menu changes seasonally and most of the ingredients are locally sourced. The dining room is quaint and the servers are knowledgeable and attentive. I'm still waiting for that let-down entree, but I'm not sure its coming! A must when in Southern Vermont.

Meals are spectacular.. The accommodations unique.. Nestled in the city of Weston (population 600) Bob will show you how to wrangle a remote connected to a cable service that you will never use unless its a snow day and sub freezing outside. Even then you'll be mesmerized by the tree lines and spectacular forest views. A mile up the road cardiologist Bob (that's right.. Your host is a doctor) promises connectivity so if you need to get your significant other disconnected from the world.. This is the place to go. (They do offer free wifi so VoIP is an option but you can always ask to keep that on the low down from your sweety..) Educated hospitality. Wine lists with exceptional vintages, and menu's that will deliver on your most demanding of culinary desires gives this hide away gem a solid 5 star.. I'd give it 6 for Linda's patience with reservation changes, and her pancakes.. But then yelp doesn't accommodate 6 stars.. Yet.. (go for the pancakes.. Stay for the live piano music.. )

We just got back from a lovely weekend at the inn. We purchased a Living Social deal from them and I was very pleased with the quality of service we received (sometimes you get inferior treatment when you purchase a "coupon"). The inn is beautiful and very well maintained. Lexi, the inn's dog, is wonderful and was an added bonus for us (but if you're not a dog person, be forewarned that she does roam the downstairs/main areas of the inn on occasion -- most of the time she's just lying in the office). Our room (Tuttle) was comfortable and roomy and our jacuzzi tub was large enough for two (even though it's supposedly a one-person tub). Breakfast was very good. Fruit salad, yogurt and a baked item were available both mornings we were there and we had two hot breakfast options to choose from as well. Our dinner at the restaurant was also delicious, even though the prices are a bit high (but the quality of food was evident -- and high quality isn't cheap!). I would happily return again. The main town of Weston is cute and walkable and the artists who live and work there are worth patronizing. We had snow while we were there, which made the small parking lot very icy and difficult to exit -- a quick run of the shovel and some additional salt/sand would've helped, as I almost slipped twice!

My wife and I just had another wonderful Meal at the Weston inn. I had the ox tail soup and the duck Breast. My wife had the beet salad and the mushroom tart. Everything tasted great and was beautifully prepared. For desert we shard the pumping pound cake. If I had to find fault with one thing it would be that the duck was cooked a little bit more than I usually like. But it was amazingly tender.

This was our third or fourth stay at the Inn at Weston and it has been fabulous every time. The rooms are comfortable and work well in both summer and winter. The food in the restaurant is always exquisite for dinner and the breakfasts (include with your stay) are prepared by Linda, one of the innkeepers, and is always tasty and filming but not overwhelming. The Inn is located near three ski mountains and dangerously close (a 5 minute walk) to the cheese samples at the original Vermont Country Store. The only downsides are that it is a little pricy and there is no cell service at the Inn itself, but both are worth it and create a relaxing and warm vacation experience.

I stayed at the Inn at Weston for a weekend of cross-country skiing at the nearby Viking Nordic Center. Wanting a relaxing, weekend getaway, we booked the Follette room (one of two rooms with jacuzzi tubs, steam sauna showers and private decks). It was an excellent experience. The room was cozy, the fireplace warm and easy to operate, and the steam sauna was a magnificent and unexpected perk (it's not advertised). Bob & Linda, the owners, are very attentive to the needs of their guests, a fact that we discovered first-hand after the unpleasant realization that the pipes to our room had frozen. The frozen pipes are the only reason I give this inn four stars instead of five, but the problem was tackled promptly--soon after we hung up the phone, we saw Bob pass by with a flashlight and head directly to the basement! By the time we returned from some outlet shopping in Manchester, the problem was resolved. The restaurant was amazing. While I was a little ambivalent about eating there (reluctant to be the only patrons) I was surprised to find that people travel to the Inn just for the food, so there was a decent crowd of families and couples. It's hard to argue with a gourmet meal just steps from your bedroom! The food was wonderful, the service refined and professional, and the atmosphere was a romantic winter wonderland. Overall, this was a wonderful stay and well-worth the price tag. The main section of the inn offers reading materials and a sitting area, as well as a vast collection of VHS throwbacks. We watched the original Wall Street during our visit, but also had the option of Jurassic Park and other classics, lol. Oh, and don't forget to stop and greet Lexi, the Golden Retriever/doorkeeper!

A perfect ending to a Matinee performance at the Weston Playhouse, is a suite at the romantic getaway Inn at Weston Vermont. Lucky to catch a last minute cancellation, I stayed in the Carriage House Bolster Room. After a 6 hours flying from San Francisco to Manchester, a 2 hour 23 minute drive to Weston, and a three hour performance of Death of a Salesman, I couldn't wait to fill the jacuzzi and settle in for a quiet night. There is a libray full of books, and CDs in the main Carriage House. I found a CD by Sinatra, turned off the lights, and quietly celebrated my birthday night. Those who say "It can't be done" should not interfere with those who are doing it! Breakfast is included. Recommend phoning ahead for reservations - Thanks, Bob for your hospitality!
